- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 0:06Speaker 1: If you all listening to the voice, come on, dig
- 0:09Speaker 1: me now one it only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 0:12Speaker 1: I thank God for it every day. I try to
- 0:15Speaker 1: remember that too, you know, I try to remember to
- 0:18Speaker 1: be grateful. I think gratitude is one of the things
- 0:22Speaker 1: that helps keep me grounded. You can go as far
- 0:25Speaker 1: as you want in life if you don't mind who
- 0:27Speaker 1: gets the credit. Well, that applies to God too, don't it.
- 0:31Speaker 1: I mean, you know, really, if you don't mind who
- 0:34Speaker 1: gets the credit. I'm surrounded by very competent people. I'm
- 0:40Speaker 1: surrounded by a lot of people who work hard on
- 0:43Speaker 1: their jobs, on their career, who are dedicated employees and
- 0:50Speaker 1: also just dedicated to their families and you know, dedicated
- 0:53Speaker 1: to their own set of aspirations. I don't expect anybody
- 0:57Speaker 1: to work for me forever. I always look at my
- 1:01Speaker 1: job opportunities as stepping stones because I want everyone around
- 1:06Speaker 1: me really to aspire to be more. I mean, that's
- 1:09Speaker 1: really the way I am. I'm not any other way.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I'm not trying to hold you to this position, you know,
- 1:15Speaker 1: tell you there's no room for growth any of that.
- 1:19Speaker 1: But even though I'm surrounded by these people, I'm grateful
- 1:24Speaker 1: that God placed them in my path, in my life,
- 1:31Speaker 1: But in my mind, in my spirit, in everything in me,
- 1:38Speaker 1: the credit still belongs to God. I'm sorry, the credit
- 1:43Speaker 1: still belongs to God. See if you would, just for
- 1:49Speaker 1: a moment, stop thinking about yourself, just for a moment.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I know that's hard, but just for a moment, stop
- 1:57Speaker 1: thinking about yourself and really that maybe you are who
- 2:02Speaker 1: you are because God is who he is. Maybe that's
- 2:06Speaker 1: the case. Have you ever considered that that's the strongest
- 2:10Speaker 1: possibility I can give to you? You know, how do
- 2:13Speaker 1: you think you the one that made it through? How
- 2:18Speaker 1: you think you the one after all of the ignorant
- 2:22Speaker 1: decisions we have made? And oh my goodness, let's all
- 2:25Speaker 1: be honest. Ain't we made some crazy decisions I'm talking
- 2:29Speaker 1: about man, I have made decisions so adverse to my
- 2:33Speaker 1: destiny and career, my promises. I've made some decisions man, knowingly,
- 2:41Speaker 1: you hear me, knowingly do something wrong, And in spite
- 2:45Speaker 1: of all that, I'm still here standing. Okay, come on now, really, really,
- 2:51Speaker 1: all the dirt you'd done, done everybody done dirt, all
- 2:57Speaker 1: the mistakes you've made, you in the position in today
- 3:01Speaker 1: because of what? Because you all that? Because you work
- 3:05Speaker 1: harder than anybody else. Look, I work hard, I'll be
- 3:10Speaker 1: I'll tell you in a minute. I work hard. But
- 3:12Speaker 1: I don't think I'm the hardest working person out there.
- 3:15Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure somebody done work way harder than I have.
- 3:18Speaker 1: So okay, so you work hard? Okay, cool? I got
- 3:22Speaker 1: all that. But man, what about his grace and his mercy?
- 3:29Speaker 1: What about his favor? How many times man you done
- 3:33Speaker 1: relied on that even when you ain't know you was
- 3:36Speaker 1: relying on it? How many times man God done shown
- 3:39Speaker 1: you mercy? You ain't even deserve it? Do you know
- 3:42Speaker 1: how many things I've done wrong? I just ain't get
- 3:45Speaker 1: caught at it? You know. Let me see how simple
- 3:49Speaker 1: I can be here. You speed, you Jaywall. You lie
- 3:56Speaker 1: to police when you get pulled over that you wasn't speed,
- 3:59Speaker 1: and you go to ord and to argue you wasn't
- 4:01Speaker 1: speeding when you was. You make U turns. I'm just
- 4:06Speaker 1: doing traffic violations. Now, let's get off traffic for a second.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Let's get on human violations. You talk about people when
- 4:16Speaker 1: you're not supposed to. You indulge yourself in gossip even
- 4:21Speaker 1: when you don't really have all the facts. You pass judgment,
- 4:27Speaker 1: You lust for people that don't belong to you. You
- 4:32Speaker 1: say things to people that you're not supposed to say.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So look all of us, we all, we're all guilty. Now. See,
- 4:44Speaker 1: I'm not saying you do all of that, but I'm
- 4:46Speaker 1: saying I'm pretty sure I hit you somewhere in there,
- 4:49Speaker 1: just somewhere in there. You done lied before, you know,
- 4:53Speaker 1: you lied recently. I mean, come on, And I'm just
- 4:56Speaker 1: saying so with all that in mind. See, I'm just
- 4:58Speaker 1: looking at the little things we do that we don't
- 5:00Speaker 1: get busted for. Not to mention the chips you stole
- 5:03Speaker 1: when you was a kid and nobody caught you. Well,
- 5:06Speaker 1: that elevated, didn't it. And some of y'all just didn't
- 5:09Speaker 1: stop stealing, And next thing you know, you was in
- 5:11Speaker 1: a car. Now you're sitting somewhere you don't want to
- 5:13Speaker 1: be sitting because of a decision you made. But through
- 5:17Speaker 1: his grace and mercy, couldn't it have been worse? Though?
- 5:19Speaker 1: Without his grace and mercy, could not it have been worse?
- 5:23Speaker 1: I know two dudes that got caught in the garage
- 5:26Speaker 1: one time trying to break in somebody's house, and the
- 5:28Speaker 1: person in the house they broke into just happened to
- 5:30Speaker 1: have a gun and held them in the garage, caught
- 5:35Speaker 1: them and held them to the garage to the police car.
- 5:38Speaker 1: That's Grace and Mercy right there, because they had all
- 5:41Speaker 1: full right to shoot these two people, but they didn't.
- 5:44Speaker 1: They're Grace and Mercy. See, all of us have benefited
- 5:48Speaker 1: from his grace and mercy. All of us have done
- 5:51Speaker 1: a wrong, committed a sin, broken the law, and somehow,
- 5:54Speaker 1: through his grace and mercy got by, doing drugs, buying drugs,
- 5:58Speaker 1: slanging drugs, doing something, got by, jumped on somebody for
- 6:02Speaker 1: no reason, got by, you know. So see how you
- 6:07Speaker 1: figure with all that that can go on in your life.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And then hold on, let me tell a couple more
- 6:12Speaker 1: at you. You can't wake yourself up in the morning,
- 6:16Speaker 1: mister big shot. You don't have the ability to control
- 6:22Speaker 1: the breaths that you take. Really, mister big shot, really,
- 6:26Speaker 1: let's get real basic with it now. You can't wake
- 6:29Speaker 1: yourself up in the morning. That's favor, that's Grace, that's Mercy,
- 6:38Speaker 1: that's him allowing you to wake up, just hoping we
- 6:43Speaker 1: get it right. You know God spared me through all
- 6:46Speaker 1: the dirt I was doing, just hoping one day? Man,
- 6:48Speaker 1: can you just straighten up a little bit? When I
- 6:52Speaker 1: finally straightened up, and I'm gonna just say it straightened
- 6:55Speaker 1: up a little bit. See, I ain't straightened up all
- 6:57Speaker 1: the way. Say I ain't gonna sit here and tell
- 6:59Speaker 1: you that. Straighten up a little bit. He started blessing me.
- 7:02Speaker 1: So the more blessings I gotta start going. Man, maybe
- 7:05Speaker 1: I'll try straighten up a little bit more. So I
- 7:06Speaker 1: straightened up a little bit more. I still got a
- 7:08Speaker 1: long way to go, but I'm straighter than I was now.
- 7:12Speaker 1: When people judging me and as they will, and they
- 7:14Speaker 1: do because that ain't right, but they do, and I
- 7:17Speaker 1: ain't walking just the way they walk. Then here come
- 7:19Speaker 1: to criticism. I get it all the time. Stop wanting
- 7:22Speaker 1: credit all the time, and give out some credit where
- 7:25Speaker 1: credit is due instead of having somebody patting you on
- 7:28Speaker 1: your back all the time. Why don't you tell God
- 7:31Speaker 1: kill people? It was really was God, man, that you
- 7:33Speaker 1: don't really know how you made it? That really man,
- 7:36Speaker 1: you have no explanation for your success or you have
- 7:39Speaker 1: no explanation why you still exist in today? Why don't
- 7:41Speaker 1: you tell somebody it was God today. Don't be ashamed.
- 7:44Speaker 1: It's the truth, ain't it. I mean, really, man, let's
- 7:48Speaker 1: give God some credit here. Give God the credit and
- 7:51Speaker 1: the glory and the honor. And like that plaque said,
- 7:54Speaker 1: you can go as far as you want in life
- 7:56Speaker 1: if you don't mind who gets the credit. All right
