that deepens the topics discussed on the portal.
• 1:02
I'm with the journalist Enzo Mauri, who introduces
• 1:05
today's topic. Linda Carter was not the original
• 1:25
Wonder Woman. At the time, ABC decided to release
• 1:29
a film for TV that acted as a pilot for a future
• 1:32
series of movies on Wonder Woman. Their role
• 1:35
was entrusted to the blonde ex -tennist Kathy
• 1:37
Lee Crosby, with an extremely distant look from
• 1:40
that of the comics. It is not known for what
• 1:42
reason they decided to overthrow such a well
• 1:45
-known subject, born from the pen of William
• 1:47
Moulton Marston and famous for the DC Comics
• 1:51
publishing house. Linda Carter is... Thank you.
• 1:54
In the film Death for Special Agents, directed
• 1:57
by Vincent McIvety, the protagonist Diana Prince,
• 2:00
with a double identity, did not wear the costume
• 2:03
of comics and did not possess superhuman powers.
• 2:06
She also wore a plump blonde hair exactly the
• 2:09
opposite of the black one of the original character.
• 2:12
Diana Prince in the film was a super spy in the
• 2:15
style of James Bond following the villain Abder
• 2:18
Smith. The actor Ricardo Montalban refused to
• 2:21
have leaked the books written in code containing
• 2:24
important information on American secret agents.
• 2:27
The story also presented a single significant
• 2:30
action scene. There were all the assumptions
• 2:33
for a flop that in fact actually happened despite
• 2:36
the double television broadcast of March and
• 2:39
August 1974. www .lexmcl .it between 1976 and

1977. Her name is Wonder Woman. For the first
• 3:28
time in Italy, the full series of Wonder Woman,
• 3:30
with the first season unpublished in original
• 3:32
language and subtitled in Italian. Following
• 3:35
the passage to CBS, the next two series, which
• 3:38
we also know in Italy, from the title The New
• 3:40
Adventures of Wonder Woman, broadcast from 1977
• 3:44
to 1979, were set in the 70s. In first place,
• 3:50
Wonder Woman, the full series, from August 17th,
• 3:53
exclusively on Fox Red. Despite the evident success
• 3:56
that Tilly Crosby has always affirmed, perhaps
• 3:59
out of jealousy towards her rival, that she was
• 4:01
also offered the role for the TV series, even
• 4:03
if she never clarified it, because in the end
• 4:05
she was preferred by Linda Carter. Thanks to
• 4:08
Enzo Mauri for the today's theme, appointment
