- 1:25Speaker 1: us a review. This helps others find our show and
- 1:30Speaker 1: guys that is really important to us and to the families. Okay,
- 1:36Speaker 1: and thank you to everyone watching, and thank you to
- 1:39Speaker 1: everyone who watches on the replay crew. Now today we
- 1:44Speaker 1: are headed over to Wisconsin, a state I have not
- 1:47Speaker 1: been to, but Wisconsin is known for its great lake shoreline,
- 1:52Speaker 1: dense forests, thousands of inland lakes, and communities that range
- 1:57Speaker 1: from Milwaukee. It's a little small rural town where wilderness
- 2:01Speaker 1: can begin, just like bought beyond the roadways. The landscape
- 2:07Speaker 1: creates a unique challenge when someone disappears, particularly in remote
- 2:12Speaker 1: areas where forest, waterways, changing weathers, and large search areas
- 2:18Speaker 1: can complicate efforts to locate a missing person. Sorry, guys,
- 2:22Speaker 1: I was trying to keep the bourbon side. Now. As
- 2:26Speaker 1: of today, the Wisconsin Department of Justice clearing House says
- 2:31Speaker 1: one hundred and sixty eight people are missing in this state. Guys.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Some of these cases stretch back to the nineteen forties. Okay, guys,
- 2:42Speaker 1: that's a long time ago. It's another reason why it
- 2:45Speaker 1: is so important for us to tell these stories. Okay. Now.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Lori Jean Deby's was just twenty years old when she
- 2:54Speaker 1: disappeared from Appleton, Wisconsin, on August nineteenth, nineteen ninety two.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Laurie is a white female with brown hair and green eyes.
- 3:04Speaker 1: At the time of her disappearance, she stood five feet
- 3:07Speaker 1: five inches tall and weighed about one hundred and fifteen pounds. Now,
- 3:12Speaker 1: she has a very distinctive tattoo on her right angle
- 3:16Speaker 1: that resembles a squid. Now. On August nineteenth, nineteen ninety two,
- 3:22Speaker 1: Laurie was working at the Fox River Mall in Appleton.
- 3:26Speaker 1: At the end of her shift, a coworker walked Laurie
- 3:29Speaker 1: to her car. She then left the mall and headed
- 3:32Speaker 1: to her boyfriend's apartment. Located on West Wilson Avenue in Appleton. Now,
- 3:40Speaker 1: Laurie's vehicle was heard pulling into the parking lot of
- 3:44Speaker 1: the apartment complex. But guys, Laurie never went inside the apartment.
- 3:52Speaker 1: That's creepy. Guys. When she failed to appear, her boyfriend's
- 3:56Speaker 1: sister and a friend went outside and searched the parking
- 4:00Speaker 1: lot for her. But Laurie was nowhere to be found. Okay,
- 4:06Speaker 1: her vehicle was still there, it was locked, and sitting
- 4:10Speaker 1: on top of the vehicle was a styrofoam cup containing soda.
- 4:15Speaker 1: But like I said, despite her car being there, there's
- 4:19Speaker 1: been no sign of Laurie. Guys, that is scary as crap,
- 4:26Speaker 1: because how many times have you gotten out of your car,
- 4:29Speaker 1: set your drink on top, lean in, grab your purse
- 4:32Speaker 1: or cell phone and stand up. Somebody could grab you.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. That Oh it's one reason we say
- 4:40Speaker 1: you've got to be aware of your surroundings. Not blaming
- 4:43Speaker 1: Laurie because it can happen. But guys, more than three
- 4:47Speaker 1: decades have now passed since Laurie vanished, but the question
- 4:52Speaker 1: at the center of her case remains the same. What
- 4:55Speaker 1: happened to Laurie? G Deppy's after she arrived at that
- 4:59Speaker 1: apartment a complex on August nineteenth, ninety two. And guys,
- 5:04Speaker 1: I don't know why, but for some reason, my slide
- 5:08Speaker 1: show still isn't working and now neither it's not given
- 5:11Speaker 1: me what I need for the number to call. Okay,
- 5:15Speaker 1: but you want to call the police department at nine
- 5:18Speaker 1: two oh seven two oh seven to one nine. Having
- 5:23Speaker 1: difficulties with that today. Now, just a reminder. If you
- 5:27Speaker 1: know the missing person in the area that you live,
- 5:30Speaker 1: or if you have a loved one and you are
- 5:32Speaker 1: interested in having their story featured on an upcoming episode,
- 5:36Speaker 1: or if you're a family member imlight to come on,
- 5:39Speaker 1: please email me Terry at tcwtmedia dot com or you
- 5:44Speaker 1: can reach out to me Terry True Crime on any
- 5:47Speaker 1: of our social media accounts. Now. Norbert a danceman who
- 5:54Speaker 1: goes by the nickname Tony, but I like Norbert, but
- 5:57Speaker 1: we'll call him Tony. He was eighty nine years old
- 6:00Speaker 1: old when he disappeared from Winter, Wisconsin on August thirtieth,
- 6:04Speaker 1: twenty nineteen. Tony is a white male with gray or
- 6:09Speaker 1: white hair, brown eyes. He's five foot nine inches tall
- 6:12Speaker 1: wait about one hundred and thirty six pounds. He does
- 6:15Speaker 1: wear dentures, and he has crooked fingers, most likely from arthritis.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Tony was a Korean War veteran and a grandfather who
- 6:24Speaker 1: lived in California. In August twenty nineteen, he traveled from
- 6:29Speaker 1: his home in California to Winter, Wisconsin to attend a
- 6:33Speaker 1: family reunion. He was staying with family members at the
- 6:37Speaker 1: Northern Lights Motel also known as the Strath Motel in
- 6:41Speaker 1: Sawyer County. Now. On the morning of August thirtieth, Tony's
- 6:46Speaker 1: family realized that he was missing from the motel round
- 6:50Speaker 1: ten am. A Silver alert was issued for him that day.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Now Tony was last seen traveling on foot north of
- 6:59Speaker 1: the motel. At the time, he was wearing gray or
- 7:03Speaker 1: white hat, his eyeglasses, a checkered shirt, a black vest,
- 7:08Speaker 1: black pants, and black shoes. He was also wearing his
- 7:11Speaker 1: wedding ring and an additional gold ring. Tony did not
- 7:16Speaker 1: have his identification or any cell phone on him when
- 7:20Speaker 1: he disappeared. His family has continued searching for an answers now.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Numerous tips have been received, but none have resulted in
- 7:31Speaker 1: confirmed sightings. During a search of a river north of Winter, Wisconsin,
- 7:41Speaker 1: a fish camera was placed in the water and allowed
- 7:44Speaker 1: to travel along the bottom, and according to Tony's granddaughter Casey,
- 7:49Speaker 1: the camera captured something that appeared to resemble a black shoe,
- 7:54Speaker 1: maybe like the one Tony was wearing. Now this possible
- 7:59Speaker 1: discovery gave Tony's family another area to explore and they
- 8:03Speaker 1: begin looking for a search group or company that can
- 8:06Speaker 1: help dive into the river. As of today, nothing has
- 8:12Speaker 1: been found. Tony's family has continued, you know, working to
- 8:16Speaker 1: keep his face and name in the public eye. Okay,
- 8:20Speaker 1: for them, the years since Tony disappeared have brought very
- 8:24Speaker 1: few answers, but they continue to hold on to hope
- 8:28Speaker 1: that one day they will learn what happened to him.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Norbert Tony Danceman disappeared Okay, after traveling one hundred of
- 8:38Speaker 1: miles from his home in California to Wisconsin and his belongings,
- 8:44Speaker 1: this identification as wallet, everything was left behind. Anyone with
- 8:49Speaker 1: information about Norbert Tony Danceman's disappearance, or anyone in the
- 8:55Speaker 1: area who discovers clothing or other items that could be
- 8:59Speaker 1: connected to us case is asked to contact the Sawyer
- 9:03Speaker 1: County Sheriff's Department at seven one, five, six, three four
- 9:08Speaker 1: four eight five eight okay. Also, if you're on Facebook,
