- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Now you'll find out what it all means.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Hey smart simone on seven tenor.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Hey hey Friday, that's the good news. First big spring
- 0:17Speaker 1: weekend coming up. We got a lot to get to today.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We'll get to the shutdown. We'll get to the TSA,
- 0:22Speaker 1: we'll get to the ice, We'll get to Schumer, We'll
- 0:25Speaker 1: get to Mom, Donnie, and a whole lot more coming up.
- 0:29Speaker 1: We'll get to the disaster at city Field. Hear that,
- 0:33Speaker 1: I almost said Shay again, Yeah, the disaster at Chase
- 0:38Speaker 1: city Field, Cityfield, the attempt to sing the national anthem.
- 0:42Speaker 1: We'll get to that coming up. We'll get to Paul
- 0:44Speaker 1: McCartney and a whole lot more just ahead. So, boy,
- 0:49Speaker 1: the President did a lot of talking yesterday. They had
- 0:51Speaker 1: a cabinet meeting. He let the press come in. He
- 0:54Speaker 1: spoke at length, just endlessly, endlessly talk to the press.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Let him ask questions. You know where so used to
- 1:00Speaker 1: Biden with this one press conference every four years and
- 1:04Speaker 1: only two questions and their handpicked and the answers are
- 1:07Speaker 1: written out for him, and he reads the answer to
- 1:09Speaker 1: to see a president just ad lib about everything and anything,
- 1:13Speaker 1: and then he called goes in on the five last night,
- 1:15Speaker 1: the five highest rated show on Fox TV, not for
- 1:20Speaker 1: ten minutes, for the whole show. The whole show was
- 1:23Speaker 1: President Trump just talking at great length. He revealed a
- 1:25Speaker 1: lot of important things about Iran, about other matters. What
- 1:31Speaker 1: was the gift he had referred to, this gift that
- 1:35Speaker 1: Iran gave him that encouraged him. They gave him a gift. Well,
- 1:38Speaker 1: it was ten tankers that were allowed through the states
- 1:41Speaker 1: of Horror Moose. Now they were friendly tankers to Iran,
- 1:46Speaker 1: but they were allowed to go through. So ten tankers,
- 1:48Speaker 1: that's a lot of oil that came through the straits
- 1:51Speaker 1: of Horror Moose. So it's slowly but surely getting fixed.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Win Cough and his team are still negotiating with Iran.
- 1:58Speaker 1: They do it through a third party, They do it
- 2:00Speaker 1: through Pakistan, and they do it through Turkey. But negotiations
- 2:03Speaker 1: are taking place. Here's Wick coffee.
- 2:05Speaker 3: We have strong signs that this is a possibility and
- 2:09Speaker 3: if the deal happens, it will be great for the
- 2:12Speaker 3: country of Iran, to the entire region and the world
- 2:15Speaker 3: at large.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how he's supposed to talk. When you're officially
- 2:19Speaker 1: you're supposed to talk very formally. Strong signs that it
- 2:22Speaker 1: may occur. But if you're Donald Trump, you say it otherways.
- 2:25Speaker 4: They are begging to work out a deal. I don't
- 2:29Speaker 4: know if we'll be able to do that. I don't
- 2:31Speaker 4: know if we're willing to do that. They should have
- 2:33Speaker 4: done that four weeks ago. They should have done it
- 2:36Speaker 4: two years ago.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Yeah, the Trump approaches different. Yes, we're in talks with
- 2:41Speaker 1: the Trump approach. They're begging. They're begging. We may not
- 2:44Speaker 1: do it. I don't know, we may not do it.
- 2:46Speaker 1: But he is sending this I think ten thousand troops there.
- 2:51Speaker 1: There's twenty thousand more troops on the way. He's sending
- 2:54Speaker 1: a thousand paratroopers over there. Now, if you watch the
- 2:57Speaker 1: crazy Democratic talking heads, of course, other obviously it's a
- 3:00Speaker 1: ground war. It's definitely a ground war coming. No, not
- 3:03Speaker 1: at all, not at all. One of the main points
- 3:07Speaker 1: of Trump negotiating is create total uncertainty, total confusion. Give
- 3:13Speaker 1: the enemy a million mixed signals so they have no
- 3:16Speaker 1: idea what you're gonna do next. That's one reason you
- 3:18Speaker 1: send these troops. It's one reason you send paratroopers. You
- 3:21Speaker 1: just try to confuse the hell out of the enemy
- 3:23Speaker 1: so they have absolutely no idea what you're gonna do.
- 3:28Speaker 5: Now.
- 3:28Speaker 1: The other problem is it does the same thing to us,
- 3:30Speaker 1: and now we're all totally confused that we don't know
- 3:32Speaker 1: what he's gonna do, but he knows what he's gonna do. Drones.
- 3:35Speaker 6: The drones two are way down. But the reason they're
- 3:38Speaker 6: down is they go one way. They don't come back
- 3:41Speaker 6: because for the most part we're shooting them down. But
- 3:44Speaker 6: we also are able to We've really done tremendous damage
- 3:48Speaker 6: to the places where they make them.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Yeah, now we knew they had drones. These are serious drones.
- 3:53Speaker 1: These are like unmanned drones. They can go one thousand miles,
- 3:56Speaker 1: they can do all kinds of stuff, very high tech drones.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Now we thought they had some, but we didn't realize
- 4:03Speaker 1: how many. They had an incredible inventory of drones, which
- 4:07Speaker 1: surprised us. Tens of thousands of these drones, and we
- 4:12Speaker 1: do shoot them all down. Once in a million years,
- 4:15Speaker 1: one gets through, but we shoot them all down, so
- 4:17Speaker 1: they're useless against us.
- 4:20Speaker 7: Now.
- 4:20Speaker 1: The only catch is the drone costs thirty thousand. The
- 4:23Speaker 1: missile we shoot it down with costs about a million.
- 4:25Speaker 1: So every time we shoot one down, it's costing us
- 4:28Speaker 1: about a million bucks. Hey, the shutdown, it looks like
- 4:32Speaker 1: it's going to come to an end. He spoke about
- 4:34Speaker 1: that we're not going to let.
- 4:35Speaker 8: The Democrats get away with this stuff, and people are
- 4:38Speaker 8: wise to them, so they need to end the shutdown
- 4:42Speaker 8: immediately or we'll have to take some very drastic measures.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Now this is yesterday, and yesterday there was a meeting
- 4:49Speaker 1: Capitol Hill, meeting Republicans meeting with Chuck Schumer who showed
- 4:53Speaker 1: up twenty minutes late, infuriating everybody, and the Republicans began
- 4:58Speaker 1: to yell at Chuck schu about what's going on. You
- 5:02Speaker 1: know you have he's all upset. You know, he doesn't
- 5:05Speaker 1: want ICE to do a thing. You got illegals here
- 5:09Speaker 1: who are murdering people. He had this horrible murder in Chicago,
- 5:12Speaker 1: this young college student from Yorktown Heights just executed by
- 5:16Speaker 1: an illegal migrant. Then he had this eighty three year
- 5:20Speaker 1: old veteran who was killed by an illegal. These are
- 5:25Speaker 1: the people you want to get out of the country.
- 5:27Speaker 1: You want them picked up and taken out. That's what
- 5:29Speaker 1: ICE does. And they were yelling at check you you
- 5:33Speaker 1: got to agree to fun TSA, We got to do this.
- 5:35Speaker 1: You gotta do something about these illegals. They're yelling and screaming,
- 5:39Speaker 1: and Schumer just walked out. Schumer just left. He didn't
- 5:42Speaker 1: want to hear it. He ran out of the meeting.
- 5:43Speaker 1: He sat for just two minutes, ran out and slammed
- 5:46Speaker 1: the door. It's unbelievable, you know. And then they were
- 5:52Speaker 1: yelling at them, you want to negotiate on federal warrants,
- 5:54Speaker 1: go start negotiating on sanctuary cities and detainer requests and
- 5:58Speaker 1: all of that. So it looked bad that he wouldn't
- 6:02Speaker 1: even listen to this. He just ran out slammed the door.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Schumer's office put out a statement that just trying to
- 6:11Speaker 1: cover up this matter. Sanator Schumer is glad the NYPD
- 6:14Speaker 1: quickly arrested the perpetrator and believes he should face swift
- 6:17Speaker 1: justice and severest punishment possible under the law. Well, that's
- 6:22Speaker 1: deporting him. This is the this is the illegal who
- 6:27Speaker 1: shoved this eighty three year old veteran off a subway
- 6:30Speaker 1: track into the train, killed them. So Schumer just looking
- 6:34Speaker 1: ridiculous on this. Now here's the problem. Congress is now
- 6:37Speaker 1: going on spring break. Yeah, they have a spring break,
- 6:42Speaker 1: you know, a lot of us are deciding Easter weekend
- 6:45Speaker 1: should I take. Maybe I'll take Friday, Maybe I'll take
- 6:49Speaker 1: Monday passover. Well, of course, take a day off or
- 6:51Speaker 1: to a day or two. Congress three weeks, spring break,
- 6:56Speaker 1: three weeks spring break, Yeah, later to spring break begins.
- 7:01Speaker 1: They're off for three weeks. They're gone for three weeks.
- 7:05Speaker 1: So it looks like they're going to try to get
- 7:07Speaker 1: something done about the TSA. By the end of the day,
- 7:09Speaker 1: the Senate has already passed something. You've got to get
- 7:12Speaker 1: the House to pass it. So even they, even these
- 7:16Speaker 1: crazy congress people, Democrats and Republicans, they're all nuts there.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Even they know if they go on this three week
- 7:21Speaker 1: spring break without fixing the airport situation, they're going to
- 7:25Speaker 1: be in big trouble. So hopefully by the end of
- 7:27Speaker 1: the day they will fix it. Now, Ice agents, ICE
- 7:32Speaker 1: officers are all through the airports, and it turns out,
- 7:36Speaker 1: I know, the Democrats are all over TV saying they're
- 7:38Speaker 1: gonna brutalize people, They're gonna shoot people. They've literally said this,
- 7:41Speaker 1: Eric Swawell, Bloomenthal, that crazy Chris Murphy, they've all said
- 7:46Speaker 1: the ICE agents will shoot people. Teared children, away from
- 7:49Speaker 1: their families, brutalized people in the airports. They've all said this,
- 7:53Speaker 1: but it turns out just the opposite is happening, and
- 7:55Speaker 1: it's a great public relations move. People in the airports
- 7:59Speaker 1: reporting and posting everywhere with videos. The ICE agents are
- 8:02Speaker 1: helping people through the lines. They're handing out water. They
- 8:06Speaker 1: even saved a life the other day in the airport.
- 8:08Speaker 1: They've helped kids that get lost. I mean, they've done
- 8:10Speaker 1: incredible work in the airports, and for the most part,
- 8:14Speaker 1: people are coming up to the ICE agents and thanking them.
- 8:18Speaker 1: You still got some crazy Democrats yelling and screaming and
- 8:21Speaker 1: causing a disruption, but it's an incredibly good pr move
- 8:26Speaker 1: for the ICE agents. Hey, in that long diatribe President yesterday,
- 8:34Speaker 1: talking about all sorts of stuff, started to talk about sharpiees.
- 8:37Speaker 1: The pen, you know, the sharpie pen, the thick black marker,
- 8:41Speaker 1: and he uses them all the time, been using them
- 8:43Speaker 1: for years. When he signs his name with that big
- 8:46Speaker 1: black looks like a little magic marker kind of thing,
- 8:49Speaker 1: that's a sharpie pen. And you know, in the Oval Office,
- 8:53Speaker 1: for your whole life, you've watched the president do a
- 8:56Speaker 1: bill signing and he has these beautiful pens with the
- 9:01Speaker 1: White House logo on him. And when it's time to
- 9:03Speaker 1: sign a bill, they bring out a holder with like
- 9:05Speaker 1: twenty pens, and he uses twenty pens to sign a bill.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Then he hands him out to everybody. Great souvenirs. But
- 9:12Speaker 1: Trump revealed that those pens, they're fancy, fancy ballpoint pens,
- 9:19Speaker 1: cost about one thousand dollars apiece, and a lot of
- 9:22Speaker 1: those bill signings, when you hand them out, the senator
- 9:25Speaker 1: will say, can I have a couple more from my kids?
- 9:27Speaker 1: And by the time you know it, you've handed out
- 9:29Speaker 1: thirty of them, and the President pointing out it's ridiculous
- 9:32Speaker 1: to spend thirty thousand to hand out a few pens
- 9:35Speaker 1: at a bill signing. And he loves sharpies. He always
- 9:38Speaker 1: signs with a sharpie. So he called the president of
- 9:43Speaker 1: the sharpie company, who didn't believe it was him. It
- 9:46Speaker 1: took a minute or two to convince him, this really
- 9:48Speaker 1: is the President, I'm really calling you, And he said,
- 9:51Speaker 1: I love your pens. I want to use your pens.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I use them all the time to sign bills. And
- 9:55Speaker 1: he was very frank with the guy. He goes, but
- 9:57Speaker 1: they're kind of ugly. They're gray with a big assa
- 10:00Speaker 1: sonom and it says, sharpie is as you know, is
- 10:02Speaker 1: it possible he could make us some White House Sharpie pens?
- 10:05Speaker 1: And they agree on a design. They'll make the sharpiees
- 10:09Speaker 1: black with a gold White House logo and Donald Trump's
- 10:13Speaker 1: signature in gold. And the sharpie guy is so thrilled
- 10:17Speaker 1: about this, because what great promotion for the Sharpie company.
- 10:21Speaker 1: He said, there's no charge, we'll give me and Trump says, no, no, no,
- 10:24Speaker 1: we want to pay for him. And he said, we'll
- 10:26Speaker 1: give you five dollars a pen. I think they cost
- 10:28Speaker 1: him about normally cost a dollar. They said, we'll give
- 10:31Speaker 1: you five dollars a pen. And tens of thousands of
- 10:35Speaker 1: them are on their way to the White House as
- 10:37Speaker 1: we speak. He's been using them, but many many more
- 10:39Speaker 1: are coming. Great, great, a great idea from Trump. He
- 10:44Speaker 1: is made a lot of improvement in the White House,
- 10:48Speaker 1: a lot of improvement. You know. He fixed up the
- 10:51Speaker 1: when you come into the White House, if you're a
- 10:53Speaker 1: special guest, a foreign leader, you come into this room.
- 10:55Speaker 1: It's called the Palm Court. It was pretty cheesy with
- 10:58Speaker 1: linoleum floors, and it didn't look like much. So he
- 11:02Speaker 1: fixed that up, a beautiful marble and it's ornate when
- 11:05Speaker 1: you come in. It's beautiful. Fixed up the oval office
- 11:08Speaker 1: the Rose Garden, which was a nice idea John F.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Kennedy created. There's a big bunch of grass out there,
- 11:15Speaker 1: so they put roses around it deck with some landscaping.
- 11:18Speaker 1: But when you do ceremonies out there, whatever you do
- 11:21Speaker 1: out there, half the time it rained and it's soggy
- 11:23Speaker 1: and it's muddy, and people are sinking into the grass.
- 11:26Speaker 1: And every time they have the event out there, the
- 11:27Speaker 1: grass is torn up. They got to replace it. So
- 11:30Speaker 1: he decided to turn into a beautiful patio. You know,
- 11:34Speaker 1: they said he paved the Rose Garden. It wasn't paving.
- 11:37Speaker 1: It was the most incredible marble. He put tons of
- 11:40Speaker 1: drains around it so that there would never be a problem.
- 11:43Speaker 1: If it rained, the water would go away immediately. And
- 11:45Speaker 1: if you go up close and look at the drain,
- 11:48Speaker 1: you know the holes and everything in the drain, the
- 11:51Speaker 1: slats they're in the shape of the American flag. Really beautiful,
- 11:56Speaker 1: every detail on this. So the Rose Garden in the
- 11:59Speaker 1: summer they put there, they have dinners out there. It's magnificent.
- 12:02Speaker 1: The ballroom is coming now with the one dollar bill.
- 12:09Speaker 1: The Secretary of the Treasury signature is on the one
- 12:12Speaker 1: dollar bill. When this little thing goes into effect, the
- 12:17Speaker 1: signature will be Donald Trump. Donald Trump's signature will be
- 12:20Speaker 1: on the one dollar bill. This is coming. Watch democrats
- 12:25Speaker 1: go insane and they have to take out a bill
- 12:28Speaker 1: with his signature on it. Now, does anybody really use
- 12:33Speaker 1: a one dollar bill anymore? Most people don't even use
- 12:36Speaker 1: cash anymore. I hardly ever use cash and a one
- 12:40Speaker 1: dollar bill, what would you do with the one day?
- 12:42Speaker 1: I mean really not much you can do with it
- 12:46Speaker 1: vending machine even that. Use your phone now, So it'll
- 12:50Speaker 1: drive these left wing kooks absolutely nuts to see that
- 12:53Speaker 1: signature they're talking about. They're already changing in the name
- 12:56Speaker 1: of the street that comes to Marrow Lago Donald Trump.
- 13:01Speaker 1: So every time a crazy Democrat has to turn on
- 13:03Speaker 1: that street and they see these signs, they just go nuts.
- 13:06Speaker 1: The airport in Palm Beach they want to rename it
- 13:09Speaker 1: Donald Trump Airport, which makes sense. You know, every time
- 13:13Speaker 1: they have named a lot of airport. There's a lot
- 13:15Speaker 1: of airports named after presidents. Reagan Airport in DC, at
- 13:19Speaker 1: Kennedy Airport, here, there's a lot of airports named after presidence,
- 13:22Speaker 1: so it makes sense. And usually if it's your hometown,
- 13:25Speaker 1: they'll name the airport after you. So left wing cooks
- 13:28Speaker 1: when they have to go to Palm Beach, they're going
- 13:30Speaker 1: to go nuts. It's gonna be on the ticket, it's
- 13:32Speaker 1: going to be on the the Trump name will be
- 13:33Speaker 1: on the baggage tag. They'll just go absolutely nuts. Hey,
- 13:38Speaker 1: speaking to mar A Lago, Forbes magazine did a study
- 13:42Speaker 1: of what it's really worth. You remember the crazy uh
- 13:46Speaker 1: prosecutors here tried to say it was only worth eighteen million,
- 13:50Speaker 1: and they got the dumbest judge ever. Now he's a
- 13:53Speaker 1: left wing kook, but he's incredibly dumb trying to convince
- 13:56Speaker 1: people mar A Lago was worth eighteen million. The house
- 14:01Speaker 1: next door, which is like one tenth the size, went
- 14:04Speaker 1: for fifty million. It's I mean, some people have estimated
- 14:09Speaker 1: the parking lot alone of Marilogo, just that land, would
- 14:13Speaker 1: be worth fifty million. So how could Marlogo be worth
- 14:16Speaker 1: eighteen million? Well, Forbes, which is pretty conservative when it
- 14:20Speaker 1: comes to estimating Trump wealth and value. Forbes did a
- 14:25Speaker 1: study on Marilgo put it at about six hundred million
- 14:28Speaker 1: six hundred million. If you talk to real estate people,
- 14:32Speaker 1: very experienced Palm Beach real estate agents, they put it
- 14:35Speaker 1: more at a billion dollars because there's so much land
- 14:38Speaker 1: and so much going on there. And remember it's not
- 14:40Speaker 1: just the part here, it's the part on the other
- 14:43Speaker 1: side of the road, the beach club, all of that.
- 14:46Speaker 1: So it's between six hundred million and a billion, once
- 14:49Speaker 1: again proving these local left wing kookie judges are absolutely
- 14:54Speaker 1: insane and don't know what they're talking about. Hey, we
- 14:57Speaker 1: got a lot to get to. Speaking of Forbes, Steve Forbes,
- 15:01Speaker 1: the Great Chairman, will be with us a little later.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Scott Shannon will be here a little later. There's a
- 15:06Speaker 1: new Paul McCartney album. Should he be doing another album?
- 15:09Speaker 1: I don't know. Well, we'll ask the expert. He remember
- 15:12Speaker 1: Seals and Crofts. They had a couple of big hits.
- 15:15Speaker 1: They were like two hit wonders. Yeah, there were a
- 15:18Speaker 1: couple other minor hits, but it was really two big hits. Yeah,
- 15:20Speaker 1: that was a big one, and then they followed it
- 15:22Speaker 1: up another big one. But oh, it was great stuff
- 15:25Speaker 1: back then. Your kids today, this was It's not really
- 15:28Speaker 1: yacht rock. It's like pre yacht rock. That's like seventy three,
- 15:32Speaker 1: seventy four somewhere around there. But Crofts just died. Dash
- 15:36Speaker 1: Crofts just you know the problem is when these guys die,
- 15:40Speaker 1: you know, Seals and Crofts, how old you know you
- 15:43Speaker 1: think of the guys like thirty you're still seeing him
- 15:45Speaker 1: on the Midnight Special, it was eighty eight, eighty eight. Boy,
- 15:50Speaker 1: time goes by eighty eight. Anyway, we'll take some calls. Next.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 15:59Speaker 1: the number? Eight hundred three to two one zero seven
- 16:02Speaker 1: ten zero?
- 16:04Speaker 3: Is that another for Mark's podcast to hear him anytime?
- 16:08Speaker 1: Now, back to Mark Simone on woor Hey, let's take
- 16:13Speaker 1: some calls. Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave, how
- 16:17Speaker 1: you doing?
- 16:18Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark. I'm doing very well, thank you, and
- 16:21Speaker 7: I'm speaking to you with my brand new iPhone seventeen PROMCX. Yeah,
- 16:27Speaker 7: and it's wonderful.
- 16:28Speaker 1: I can barely hear you. Oh, I'm kidding.
- 16:31Speaker 7: I'm kiding.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I'm kidding. It works fine, it sounds great.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Oh okay, thank god, I'm terribly sorry.
- 16:37Speaker 1: No, it sounds good.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Listen, Mark. President Biden tried to lower gas prices at
- 16:43Speaker 2: one point in his administration by tapping into the Strategic
- 16:46Speaker 2: Oil Reserve.
- 16:48Speaker 7: It was a gimmick. We all know it.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Has that inventory been replaced?
- 16:54Speaker 1: I don't think so. Not yet. It's replaced a little
- 16:57Speaker 1: on a regular basis. But what President Trump dies? How
- 17:00Speaker 1: maybe he did do this When the prices get really low,
- 17:02Speaker 1: he goes and buys a ton of it and fills
- 17:04Speaker 1: up the reserve. So he'll do that soon. Now it's
- 17:07Speaker 1: not a big problem for us because we produce our
- 17:10Speaker 1: own oil. Now we are totally energy independent. In fact,
- 17:13Speaker 1: we export oil. Now that's how much we have. But
- 17:16Speaker 1: good question. Let's go to John and Long Island. John,
- 17:19Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 17:22Speaker 7: Fine?
- 17:24Speaker 1: I love your show.
- 17:25Speaker 7: I just want to know if could you hear me?
- 17:28Speaker 1: Yes, I just want to hate people call. What the
- 17:32Speaker 1: TV on? And you can hear it in the background,
- 17:34Speaker 1: isn't that?
- 17:34Speaker 7: I'll it off a radio.
- 17:39Speaker 1: It's great to have the radio, but it seems to
- 17:40Speaker 1: be on another station. But okay, go ahead.
- 17:44Speaker 5: Anyway, I just want to know if you could alert
- 17:48Speaker 5: your people about us.
- 17:50Speaker 1: I will, okay, thank you for calling. I'll alert them.
- 17:55Speaker 1: He's got the radio background. Anyway. Let's go to rich
- 17:59Speaker 1: and Myrtle Beach. Rich. How you doing.
- 18:02Speaker 2: I don't know how to follow that one. I don't know.
- 18:04Speaker 2: It's uh unbelievable.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Alert my people? Which people is he talking about? Who
- 18:09Speaker 1: am I supposed to alert?
- 18:11Speaker 2: Maybe putting the back signal up or something. I don't know,
- 18:14Speaker 2: but uh, you know, I call them both Lindsey Graham
- 18:17Speaker 2: and Tim Scott's office this weekend and left messages, and
- 18:21Speaker 2: I spoke to him again this morning. You know, you
- 18:23Speaker 2: talk to the flunkeys in your office. Nobody has no
- 18:25Speaker 2: idea what WTI oil is. Nobody has any idea why
- 18:29Speaker 2: the price of oil has gone up, even though we're
- 18:32Speaker 2: totally oil independent in this country. But getting to the
- 18:35Speaker 2: thing about the singles, you know, I play in a
- 18:37Speaker 2: band and a lot of people here in Myrtle Beach
- 18:38Speaker 2: is a tourist town. The amount of singles we get
- 18:41Speaker 2: as tips in a night. I can walk out of
- 18:43Speaker 2: the fifty to sixty singles and I bring them down
- 18:45Speaker 2: to the ice cream parl because they're always begging for
- 18:47Speaker 2: small builds, you know, but this WT oil thing is
- 18:50Speaker 2: just a money grab and up the road, know what's
- 18:53Speaker 2: going on?
- 18:53Speaker 1: Where are Myrtle Beach? Yet they still use Myrtle Beaches you.
- 18:56Speaker 1: People still use singles down there. Up here, everybody uses
- 18:59Speaker 1: their phone to pay for everything. You know what the
- 19:03Speaker 1: problem is when you call a senator's office, the people
- 19:07Speaker 1: that work there. You don't realize this. They're all twenty
- 19:09Speaker 1: five years old. They're all in there twice, everybody that
- 19:12Speaker 1: works there. In fact, the senator never does anything. It's
- 19:15Speaker 1: these twenty summings. They write the bills. Mess well, first,
- 19:19Speaker 1: they're not gonna give him a message when you called.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Do you think they can care at all? Do you
- 19:22Speaker 1: think they give a when you care, you call and say, listen,
- 19:28Speaker 1: I like to make a donation. Twelve people will jump
- 19:30Speaker 1: right on the phone if you you call, I have
- 19:32Speaker 1: a complaint. Nobody's listening, nobody. He's looking at his phone
- 19:36Speaker 1: while you're talking. But thanks for calling. Everybody works in
- 19:39Speaker 1: every office, Congressional office, Senate office house. They're all in
- 19:42Speaker 1: their twenties, and they do all the work. They write
- 19:45Speaker 1: the bills, they do all the stuff while the senator
- 19:48Speaker 1: is tied up all day and night fundraising. They do
- 19:51Speaker 1: everything else. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you.
- 19:55Speaker 5: Doing, good morning, mock hom okay, Rich, I hope you're
- 19:58Speaker 5: doing better. With you'll leg Mark. I did that with
- 20:01Speaker 5: Nicole male A taxas office when she voted against Trump
- 20:04Speaker 5: a couple of years ago. I called up her office
- 20:07Speaker 5: and said I wanted to make a contribution. You watch
- 20:11Speaker 5: how fast I spoke to somebody higher up and then
- 20:14Speaker 5: I lit into them. Hey, Mark, what do you mean?
- 20:16Speaker 5: Nobody uses cash? Nobody uses dollars?
- 20:18Speaker 1: Normal people about normal That's all I use. We're talking
- 20:21Speaker 1: about normal people, not you. We're talking about normal people.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Some people have to use cash order they're up too.
- 20:27Speaker 7: But mark.
- 20:30Speaker 1: My name, but you got a lot of cash. One
- 20:32Speaker 1: of those big broccoli rubber bands around it.
- 20:35Speaker 5: It's all I It's all I carry, Mark Mark. I
- 20:38Speaker 5: thought it was the absolute master stroke of Donald Trump
- 20:42Speaker 5: yesterday when he said he's gonna find the money to
- 20:46Speaker 5: fund the t say he's going to sign an executive
- 20:49Speaker 5: order and he'll get the money from one of the
- 20:51Speaker 5: other He'll get it from one of the other places.
- 20:54Speaker 5: I want to see. The Democrats, of course, are going
- 20:57Speaker 5: to go to court. It's going to take a couple
- 20:58Speaker 5: of weeks before that happens. Their heads are gonna explode.
- 21:02Speaker 5: They're gonna go on TV. They're gonna call him every
- 21:05Speaker 5: name under the sun. They're gonna make commercials that meanwhile,
- 21:09Speaker 5: while their head's exploding, the Republicans, Trump is gonna have
- 21:13Speaker 5: commercials campaign commercials, Madia of them exploding and being against
- 21:20Speaker 5: the TSA workers. And then next year during the campaign season,
- 21:25Speaker 5: during this fall, he's gonna add the ads and they're
- 21:29Speaker 5: gonna look like complete fools that they are. When I
- 21:33Speaker 5: heard it last night, I said, this guy's a genius.
- 21:36Speaker 5: I can't believe this masterstroke. You go to President Trump,
- 21:40Speaker 5: you go, you're the man.
- 21:41Speaker 1: All right, Vincent, thanks for calling. Hey, we've got a
- 21:44Speaker 1: lot to get to. H oh, we'll talk to Steve
- 21:46Speaker 1: Forbes next, always brilliant. Then we'll talk to him and uh,
- 21:50Speaker 1: we got a lot coming up Marximo on seven to
- 21:55Speaker 1: ten Woorday. We're looking over Steve Forbes. They don't have
- 22:02Speaker 1: any How do I sound? Do I sound nasal? A little? Yeah,
- 22:08Speaker 1: a little bit. And it started two days ago. My
- 22:13Speaker 1: nose you started running. I think it's allergies, and yesterday
- 22:19Speaker 1: got worse. And then I'm listening to Curtis, who sounds
- 22:23Speaker 1: great in the morning, but lately he's been talking like this.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I mean, he's really stuffed up and I saw him, Yester,
- 22:29Speaker 1: I said, do you have an allergy? Start calling us?
- 22:31Speaker 1: This is a cold? So maybe that's what I have.
- 22:36Speaker 1: You hear that that is really stuffed up. I think
- 22:38Speaker 1: that's more than the allergies. Although they say it's the
- 22:41Speaker 1: worst couple of days of allergies in this week, the
- 22:45Speaker 1: worst few days ever. What happened to Steve Forbes? We
- 22:49Speaker 1: didn't find him? No, something about economists, something about economist
- 22:54Speaker 1: named Steve. They're hard to find. No, Steve Forbes is
- 22:56Speaker 1: the most reliable guest in the world. Hey, he always
- 22:59Speaker 1: tells us about it AI and not to be so
- 23:01Speaker 1: afraid of it. But there's consequences to AI. Remember when
- 23:07Speaker 1: the computers took over everything, go back to twenty nineteen
- 23:12Speaker 1: ninety nine, two thousand. All of a sudden, everything just
- 23:15Speaker 1: went computerized, Everything went high tech and put a lot
- 23:17Speaker 1: of people out of work when suddenly computers were doing everything.
- 23:21Speaker 1: And remember back then, they would say to everybody, well,
- 23:24Speaker 1: you know, you got to learn new skills. You should
- 23:26Speaker 1: learn coding. Once you can code, since the computers are
- 23:29Speaker 1: taken over. If you can code software ball, you'll be
- 23:33Speaker 1: working for life. It was a great idea. A lot
- 23:35Speaker 1: of people became software coders. Well, there's no more software coding.
- 23:40Speaker 1: It's all been taken over by AI. Apparently that's one
- 23:44Speaker 1: thing AI is very good at writing. When you figure
- 23:47Speaker 1: out what you want to do software wise, instead of
- 23:51Speaker 1: having to write the code, you just let AI do it.
- 23:53Speaker 1: And apparently if a couple of guys wanted to do
- 23:56Speaker 1: the coding to create the software, it could take days.
- 23:59Speaker 1: If you put into AI, it takes about a second
- 24:02Speaker 1: and a half. So the whole coding industry is pretty
- 24:06Speaker 1: much dead. You don't really need to even think about
- 24:11Speaker 1: anybody going into that profession anymore. So it's a new
- 24:15Speaker 1: update for your iPhone. It's a kicky prug all these
- 24:19Speaker 1: it's twenty six to point four operating system. But if
- 24:24Speaker 1: you update to this, there's one good thing I like
- 24:27Speaker 1: on there. When you're charging your phone, if you're not
- 24:30Speaker 1: getting a really good charge, if it's a slow charge,
- 24:33Speaker 1: a warning light will go off tone and you get
- 24:34Speaker 1: a slow charge. You know, if you buy those chargers
- 24:37Speaker 1: from Apple or balcon or there's some really good companies
- 24:41Speaker 1: that make chargers, and you know they cost a little more.
- 24:45Speaker 1: And sometimes you go on Amazon say look at this,
- 24:47Speaker 1: Well here's a charger. It's only five bucks and you
- 24:50Speaker 1: get an off brand charger for your phone or the
- 24:52Speaker 1: not a real high quality cable. Well, the problem is
- 24:55Speaker 1: it doesn't give you a very fast charge. It could
- 24:57Speaker 1: take forever. So now there'll be a warning on those charges.
- 25:01Speaker 1: So you know if you have to write, oh, we
- 25:02Speaker 1: got him, the great Steve Forbes, chairman of Forbes Media. Hey,
- 25:06Speaker 1: get his latest book, Inflation. There's no better book on
- 25:10Speaker 1: the subject. The book's Inflation by Steve Forbes. And of
- 25:12Speaker 1: course read Forbes. It's the best at covering all this stuff.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Steve Forbes, How you doing doing fine? Thanks?
- 25:20Speaker 7: The sun is somewhat out and baseball is underway. The
- 25:24Speaker 7: Yankees won their opener, and great basketball. Everyone's rooting around
- 25:29Speaker 7: here for Saint John's if they can upset the Great Duke.
- 25:32Speaker 7: So in the rest of the world, well, not much
- 25:35Speaker 7: we can.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Do about it. But hey, with baseball, what we can baseball?
- 25:39Speaker 1: What do you think of that whatever they called ab
- 25:42Speaker 1: where it can actually check to see if it was
- 25:44Speaker 1: a striker or not. It can digitally look and see
- 25:46Speaker 1: if was a strike. Doesn't that take the human element
- 25:49Speaker 1: out of baseball?
- 25:51Speaker 7: It does, but inevitably with the technology you knew one
- 25:55Speaker 7: way the other that was coming. They've tried it out
- 25:57Speaker 7: in the minor leagues and short stuff for the Yankees
- 26:01Speaker 7: made histories, you know, on opening the day in San
- 26:04Speaker 7: Francisco by being the first player to challenge a call,
- 26:08Speaker 7: the computer found that the battle was wrong, so the
- 26:11Speaker 7: team lost its challenge. But and the speed, the key
- 26:16Speaker 7: thing is the speed. So you knew that was going
- 26:18Speaker 7: to come, and we just have to make the best
- 26:21Speaker 7: of it. But it's always fun though in the past
- 26:25Speaker 7: to be able to say, yeah, we lost the game
- 26:27Speaker 7: because lousy umping. But now now it's just he didn't
- 26:31Speaker 7: play very well.
- 26:32Speaker 1: We like we like the fat, dumpy grumpy umpire And
- 26:35Speaker 1: who's who's the manager gonna yell at?
- 26:37Speaker 5: Now?
- 26:37Speaker 1: With that thing?
- 26:38Speaker 7: There's nobody to Billy Bill, Billy Martin wherever he is
- 26:41Speaker 7: right now? The Yankee manager, you can manager. I think
- 26:44Speaker 7: it was fired ten times with George Steinbrenner era and
- 26:48Speaker 7: was notorious for kicking dirt. I think he could have
- 26:51Speaker 7: constructed a building in New York. It's amount of dirty
- 26:53Speaker 7: cab out on the field and and he must be
- 26:58Speaker 7: rolling his eyes now we would do who can he
- 27:01Speaker 7: yell at?
- 27:03Speaker 1: Hey? Steve Forbes. If the President called you today and
- 27:06Speaker 1: said how am I doing? What would you tell him?
- 27:10Speaker 7: I would tell him that one, we've demonstrated extraordinary military
- 27:15Speaker 7: capabilities in this war with the Iran, and that he
- 27:23Speaker 7: should he should, and the Israelis have done the same,
- 27:28Speaker 7: and he should continue to do what they need to
- 27:32Speaker 7: do to incapacitate the local militias to keep this government
- 27:37Speaker 7: in power. And one of the things I wish the
- 27:40Speaker 7: President would do is make a nationwide address behind the
- 27:44Speaker 7: desk in the Oval office and up behind a platform
- 27:48Speaker 7: and explain what's at stake, why we're doing what it's
- 27:51Speaker 7: we have to do. And it may take three days,
- 27:54Speaker 7: three weeks, three months, but it has to be done.
- 27:57Speaker 7: And you know, the American people, when you explain some
- 28:00Speaker 7: thing like that is basically national security. The Mullas were
- 28:04Speaker 7: intent on being bad actors, dangerous actors, destructive actors. After all,
- 28:09Speaker 7: they've killed two thousand of our people. But the American
- 28:15Speaker 7: people will cut him slack. They will put up with
- 28:18Speaker 7: the inconveniences as long as they have a context. But
- 28:22Speaker 7: unfortunately the impression has been given from the get go
- 28:26Speaker 7: this will be sort of a venezuela two point zero Yeah,
- 28:29Speaker 7: it may take a few days longer, but it'll be
- 28:31Speaker 7: lickety split. And it isn't. And so the American people
- 28:37Speaker 7: back you if you explain it to him. Just one
- 28:40Speaker 7: thing on that i'millenough to remember. During the Vietnam War,
- 28:43Speaker 7: President Richard Nixon takes oval office the wars growing in
- 28:47Speaker 7: unpopularity as policy of vietnamizations. They call it growing and unpopularity.
- 28:53Speaker 7: And he did a nationwide address and bought time politically
- 28:57Speaker 7: to carry out his strategy. Explain it to the American people.
- 29:01Speaker 7: Trust the American people, and most of them will give
- 29:04Speaker 7: you the time to do if you explain why the
- 29:07Speaker 7: job has to be done.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Yeah, but at that cabinet meeting he explained it for
- 29:10Speaker 1: a good half hour. Then he went on the five
- 29:12Speaker 1: yesterday and for almost an hour explained himself. But I
- 29:15Speaker 1: know what you mean. It's not the same as a
- 29:17Speaker 1: formal address. But you know, if he.
- 29:19Speaker 7: Didn't know and doing then you know, if you do
- 29:23Speaker 7: the formal address and have that context, sober context, then
- 29:26Speaker 7: these updates that he gives, you know, when he goes
- 29:29Speaker 7: into a rope line or whatever, or on the five,
- 29:33Speaker 7: then then then it's seen as part of the mosaic,
- 29:36Speaker 7: but people have an understanding in which they can put
- 29:39Speaker 7: what he says in context. And so he's got to
- 29:43Speaker 7: do himself in the American people a favor like laying
- 29:46Speaker 7: it out. The American people then put up with stuff
- 29:50Speaker 7: if they know there's a purpose and you've explained why
- 29:53Speaker 7: it has to be done.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Yeah, so hey, Steve Forbes, Moody's has didn't exactly downgrade
- 30:00Speaker 1: in New York, but they lowered expectations on New York.
- 30:04Speaker 1: What does this do any actual damage to us?
- 30:07Speaker 7: I think it's just underscores the bad trajectory. New York
- 30:12Speaker 7: City has been on for a while, New York State
- 30:14Speaker 7: has been on for a while, and it just gives
- 30:16Speaker 7: proof that change has to come. And I think Governor
- 30:22Speaker 7: Hochel sort of semi recognizes that he can't keep running
- 30:26Speaker 7: the state into the ground. But you have a radical
- 30:30Speaker 7: city council, you have a radical mayor, neo communists, You've
- 30:34Speaker 7: got a legislature that's out of control, and the Democrat
- 30:37Speaker 7: parties run by the far left, and so you know,
- 30:41Speaker 7: Moody's is not a Moody's is like our umpire and
- 30:47Speaker 7: they're calling strikes and where New York and the city
- 30:51Speaker 7: and state are striking out. So it's good because I
- 30:54Speaker 7: think it helps the change politically the environment where somebody
- 30:58Speaker 7: like Bruce Blakeman, who is a Republican candidate for governor,
- 31:03Speaker 7: may make a change. And one of the things skeptic
- 31:07Speaker 7: should keep in mind is that even though New York
- 31:09Speaker 7: is a city, especially but the state's blue. We've seen
- 31:14Speaker 7: in states like Vermont or New Hampshire they will elect
- 31:18Speaker 7: a Republican if it's just about local issues, not national issues,
- 31:23Speaker 7: but local issues. And that's why I think Bruce Blakeman
- 31:27Speaker 7: has a real chance to do it because people know
- 31:30Speaker 7: the state's in trouble. So this isn't about tax policy
- 31:34Speaker 7: in Washington. This is about New York State, and so
- 31:37Speaker 7: I think he can win on that.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Yeah, very well said well, Steve Forbes, great talking to you.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Everybody gets Steve Forbes's latest book, Inflation, very important book
- 31:46Speaker 1: and you'll learn a lot reading it. Just go to
- 31:48Speaker 1: Amazon and get the book and of course read Forbes.
- 31:51Speaker 1: That's a great coverage Forbes Media. Steve Forbes, and we'll
- 31:55Speaker 1: see all over television. Thanks for being with.
- 31:57Speaker 7: Us, going to be with you, and I'm so glad
- 32:01Speaker 7: to hear those words play ball.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Yeah me too. Thanks for thanks for being with us.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Take care, take care, thank you. Thanks, and I don't
- 32:09Speaker 1: forget coming up at noon, Buck Sexton and Clay Travis.
- 32:11Speaker 1: They got a great show for you every day at noon.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Then you got the most listened to radio show in America,
- 32:17Speaker 1: Sean Handy. He's on at three, six o'clock. It's always
- 32:20Speaker 1: Jesse Kelly every night. And then you know, at nine
- 32:22Speaker 1: o'clock Jimmy Fayala. But that's a very funny, great show.
- 32:27Speaker 1: It's every night at nine here on seven to ten
- 32:30Speaker 1: wr mark the moons on wor Well, Hey, it's Friday,
- 32:40Speaker 1: and it's almost April. It's April next week. Wednesday's April
- 32:45Speaker 1: April Foolsday, passover all on one day, April first, and
- 32:49Speaker 1: then you got Easter weekend coming up. It's gonna be
- 32:53Speaker 1: okay over the weekend, it's gonna be a little little cooler.
- 32:56Speaker 1: And your rain stopped just about everywhere, so we got
- 33:00Speaker 1: a lot to get to in the next hour. Hey,
- 33:03Speaker 1: remember the Bachelorette. They had to throw away the whole season.
- 33:07Speaker 1: The woman. I don't know. I can't imagine it costs
- 33:11Speaker 1: millions to film the season. It could be twenty million
- 33:13Speaker 1: bucks to film the season, and they picked a bachelorette,
- 33:16Speaker 1: but they forgot to do a background check. Find out
- 33:18Speaker 1: she's got felony convictions, she's got domestic assault check and
- 33:22Speaker 1: all sorts of horrible stuff this video. So they didn't
- 33:25Speaker 1: do a background check. They had to throw away the
- 33:28Speaker 1: whole season. Now, some of the guys that were on
- 33:31Speaker 1: the show apparently they're getting ready to sue ABC over
- 33:33Speaker 1: this canceled season, saying their lives were put at risk.
- 33:36Speaker 1: This is the woman in the video. Is they hitting
- 33:38Speaker 1: the guy with a chair. She's like a richie, a
- 33:41Speaker 1: Prio type. So anyway, we'll talk about that and more
- 33:44Speaker 1: coming up in the next hour. Don't Go Away. Mark
- 33:46Speaker 1: Simone seven to ten wo
