Transcript
- 0:06Hello. What's your least favorite scary
- 0:08movie? Looks like I brought a knife to
- 0:12a wolf fight. Welcome to watch you at least,
- 0:14Sir. It's Scary Movie, The podcast
- 0:16where we talk about the good, about the ugly and the absurd
- 0:19and all of our favorite. And least favorite?
- 0:20Scary movies. Because we believe every horror
- 0:22movie rightfully has its fan base even.
- 0:24If we don't always get it, my name is Travis and is Jesse and
- 0:27welcome back to our monthly bonus series, Live Uncut and
- 0:30Mostly Undrawn. That's right, we are doing To Be
- 0:32Or Not To Be where we dive into the free streaming services and
- 0:37see what hidden gems they have to offer.
- 0:40That is right. And this month it was my turn to
- 0:43pick the and I went with another wolf cop because we, you know,
- 0:49we covered the first one on to be or not to be, so why not do
- 0:51the second? Exactly.
- 0:53Yeah, this was not the first pick.
- 0:56We're the second pick. We're the second pick.
- 0:58No, There were two other movies, but we started watching one of
- 1:02them and ended up being like, hey, we're not going to be able
- 1:04to do an episode on this. So we decided to pivot and here
- 1:07we are, you know, another wolf cop.
- 1:09It felt like a good pick. I agree.
- 1:11I agree. All right, so this is a bonus
- 1:14episode. We don't do the normal stuff
- 1:15like the polls and everything like that, so we pretty much
- 1:19just jump right on into this. So I've got all this stuff here.
- 1:22Yay. All right, Another Wolf Cop,
- 1:24released December 1st, 2017. We watched it on Tubi.
- 1:29You can watch it there. I'm not sure if there are any
- 1:31other places. I didn't look it up because this
- 1:32is stupid or not to be. And that's pretty much what we
- 1:34do. Yep, Yep, Yep.
- 1:36Written and directed by Lowell Dean, music by Toby Bond and
- 1:40shooting guns. Return for the soundtrack this
- 1:43time, too. Special effects makeup.
- 1:46Emerson Ziffel was the supervisor.
- 1:48OK, starring Leo. I think I struggled with this
- 1:52last time we did the zoo. Leo Fafford or Faffard, One or
- 1:56one or the other as Lou Slash Wolf Cop, Yannick Bison as
- 2:01Swallows, Amy Mezio as Tina, Jonathan Cherry as Willie, and
- 2:07Serena Miller as Cat. OK, time for our favorite game
- 2:10on the show. Budget or?
- 2:12Budget. I did a flair to it that time.
- 2:16You kind of, Jean Ralphio did. Thank you.
- 2:21I guess Jesse, you are so bad about you give me shit about
- 2:24fucking this stuff, but you have fucked up that part a lot.
- 2:27Wow, I'm not going to guess now. I'm sorry you're.
- 2:30Being really mean to me. I'm sorry, you're right.
- 2:32Yeah, that was a little bit mean.
- 2:35So you're not guessing, are you? Are are we really not doing this
- 2:38part? That wasn't a real apology.
- 2:41I am sorry. OK.
- 2:43Thank you. You're welcome.
- 2:44I'm going to say this is Buck Ted.
- 2:45OK, yeah, this is absolutely Buck Ted.
- 2:47This was 3,000,000 Canadian dollars.
- 2:51Opening Box Office $5000 Worldwide Gross $7000 OK IMDb
- 2:57Score 5.3. You know what?
- 3:00Good for it. Yeah, 5.3, that's yeah, that's
- 3:03pretty solid. OK.
- 3:04All right. So I have 3 movies from 2017 to
- 3:07compare this to. Good.
- 3:09I chose a theme of classic universal monsters since this is
- 3:14kind of based off of 1. OK, OK.
- 3:17So the first movie is called Werewolves of the Third Reich.
- 3:21Ick ick. Ick yeah that released December
- 3:265th 2017. So a couple of days after this.
- 3:29It had a budget of $300,000. I don't have the gross for it
- 3:32but the IMDb Force 2.2 OK didn't even make it to three 2nd movie
- 3:39vampire cleanup department. Interesting.
- 3:42This movie came out March 16th 2017.
- 3:45I don't have any of the financial information but it has
- 3:48a 5.6 on IMDb. I like to imagine it's just like
- 3:52a wholesome group of vampires, like they can't go out in the
- 3:55daytime so they do home cleaning services for like shift workers.
- 3:59Wow, you know what that sounds like it could be a nice little
- 4:02movie right there. Yeah, it's like the anti wolf
- 4:04cop. Yeah, exactly.
- 4:06Exactly. And the third and final movie,
- 4:09this is a bit of a stretch, but I went with it because he kind
- 4:12of turns into a mummy in that so.
- 4:14I mean there, there is some mummy action he.
- 4:17Also turns into the werewolf because of a universal monster
- 4:20movie, right? Yeah.
- 4:21So I, you know, I think if it's that movie came out September
- 4:258th, 2017. Bunch of 35,000,000 Worldwide
- 4:28Gross 704 Million IMDb 7.3. And I'm feeling the potential of
- 4:35giving them some streaming revenue later because it's been
- 4:38a while since we watched it. And you're doing a read.
- 4:40Through I'm doing a reread through Yeah, so.
- 4:43Yeah, I'm into it. Yeah.
- 4:45OK, so I've got some tag lines. I've got 2.
- 4:48Both of them were on the poster. Boy the.
- 4:50First one Sequels are a disease. Meet the cure.
- 4:54OK. That's not bad.
- 4:56That's pretty confident. You you feel pretty good about
- 4:59yourself as a sequel when you put that on the poster there.
- 5:02I'm just thinking about like how vaccines work because basically
- 5:04you're getting like a dead version of a disease.
- 5:07Like, do you think it's like a dead version of the no, it's
- 5:09like to help you help your body, your immune system, learn what
- 5:12the disease looks like. OK.
- 5:14That's a lot more thought than I would have put into that.
- 5:17I think it's probably more thought than they put into it as
- 5:19well. Surely.
- 5:20Yeah. And the second one, the hairy
- 5:23arm of the wall. That's funny.
- 5:25That's pretty good. Yeah, I think, See, these are
- 5:27the type of tag lines I expect whenever we get silly movies
- 5:31right here. OK, so we don't do fun facts
- 5:35because this is to be or not to be.
- 5:36But I will tell you why I chose this movie.
- 5:40OK, So I enjoyed it when we talked about Wolf Cop on here.
- 5:45I think it was last year and I had been looking forward to the
- 5:50sequel and I figured, you know, why not go ahead and cover the
- 5:53sequel on To Be or Not To Be Because I feel like it's fitting
- 5:56to do the whole franchise series, I guess pretty much at
- 5:59this point on this part of the show, the little mini episodes
- 6:03that we do. So yeah, that's why I went with
- 6:05it. Would you like a fun fact for me
- 6:08that I ended up looking up? Sure.
- 6:11The person who plays Organo, I already forgot his name.
- 6:16Lawrence Gower. I think I'm.
- 6:18Not. Sure, he is a musician, which I
- 6:20figured because they had him playing an organ and singing and
- 6:24his song Strange Animals plays in the closing credits, but also
- 6:28he has been he has toured with Styx as a singer.
- 6:33Yeah, you can hear it a little bit like you.
- 6:38You said that he's not the original guy.
- 6:40No, because he didn't start with Styx until 1999.
- 6:43Yeah, and Styx, infamously, is a much older band than that.
- 6:46Yes, that's true. The reason I know that is
- 6:48because they're on an episode of That 70s Show.
- 6:52I listen. I think, I think we're all a
- 6:54little bit Eric Foreman and we don't want to admit it.
- 6:56I like that song. I like Sell Away.
- 6:58I don't really. Oh, and the Renegade one, I
- 7:01can't remember the name of it. Is it called Renegade?
- 7:03Yeah, it's probably called Renegade.
- 7:05Yeah. OK, yeah.
- 7:07So that's, you know, we don't have anything else to really go
- 7:10on this. So I think we just kind of go
- 7:11into a good, bad, ugly and absurd.
- 7:13So Jesse, you kicked this one off.
- 7:15What did you like about this one?
- 7:17I like that this movie still has it's stupid humor.
- 7:20Yeah, it's, you know, like I brought a knife to a wolf fight.
- 7:24That's stupid. Like, what person is going to
- 7:27say that when they're in the middle of a fight in their heist
- 7:31van? Nobody.
- 7:32But it's great. It's got that campiness to it,
- 7:34yes. Yeah, and I like that they found
- 7:36a stupid reason to bring Jonathan Cherry back.
- 7:38Yeah, I had forgotten that he died in the first one.
- 7:41Yeah. And I was kind of surprised,
- 7:42like, OK, what happened? I'm glad that they kind of
- 7:44filled us in because I honestly had forgotten that he was a
- 7:47shifter in the last one. Yes, I'm glad we got like that.
- 7:50We got like a recap without having too much of an exposition
- 7:53dump, so that was nice. Yeah, they did good with that.
- 7:56Jonathan Cherry, For those of you who think the name sounds
- 7:59vaguely familiar, he is one of the people who avoided death in
- 8:03the highway crash in Final Destination, too.
- 8:06He was the like the Stoner dude. Yes, yeah, yeah.
- 8:10He's like smoking and he sees the cop mix to him and he's
- 8:12like. Yeah, yeah.
- 8:15Yeah, and I like that we got repeat characters.
- 8:18I like that we have another werewolf where cat situation I.
- 8:22Didn't expect that. Yeah, I guess.
- 8:24I should have expected that from the title.
- 8:25Another wolf. Cop yes, that's a very
- 8:27fairpoint. Yeah, yeah.
- 8:29So. And it was just it was also just
- 8:30nice that this that they did have an actual sequel.
- 8:33So at the end of this one, I'm gonna say Wolf Cop will return
- 8:36again. I have hope.
- 8:38I have hope too, but then again, we're coming up on.
- 8:41We're eight years now from that, so I'm.
- 8:43I'm wondering when's it gonna happen?
- 8:45We'll see. Did it happen?
- 8:46I don't know. I think there's only two that I
- 8:48know of. OK is that all your goods?
- 8:50Yeah. OK.
- 8:51My goods for this I I really enjoyed the effects from this,
- 8:56the practical effects. That was one of the things that
- 8:57stood out to me in the first movie too, and I'm glad that
- 9:01they kept that consistent with this one.
- 9:04I also, man, I'm I'm a little bit bummed about this, but I
- 9:08love this so much. I liked Frank and.
- 9:11You didn't get enough Frank, did you?
- 9:13He. He was just gone.
- 9:14He just stopped. And I, I really don't know.
- 9:17And you know, I like that and yeah, it's making me sad now.
- 9:23So it's time for us to move over to the bed.
- 9:26OK man, I liked the stupidness of the puppets but also didn't
- 9:38like the puppets. Yeah, see, that was one of the
- 9:41bats I had. I said like some of it was like
- 9:43really cheap humor and I think the puppets were really the
- 9:47worst part of it. It just kept giving me
- 9:49flashbacks to us trying to watch Thanks Killing too.
- 9:52A little bit. Yeah.
- 9:53And they're like, you know what? We'll up the stupidness from our
- 9:55first movie. More fucking puppets.
- 9:57Yeah, it was. It was a little weird.
- 10:00It's just like the little, it's Willy's like Bad Willy, but it
- 10:04really kills me the most. And The thing is like, and I get
- 10:09that they probably didn't have the budget to do this, but I
- 10:12liked how his looked like him at first.
- 10:14A little bit, yeah. I wasn't sure if they were going
- 10:17for that, Yeah. Yeah, I thought that they were
- 10:20all going to be kind of similar to the people, but once you kind
- 10:22of introduce it happening to like all of your extras, I think
- 10:27you don't do a unique. One for all of them.
- 10:29Yeah, exactly. They're.
- 10:31Probably sharing the same one. It feels like that's why they
- 10:33changed his to like. Be that.
- 10:36Yeah, it turned into that. Yeah, you're right.
- 10:38Yeah. So I don't know, I just it's a
- 10:44it's a long shot to try and make puppets work and it can't be
- 10:48horror movie and I just this didn't work for me well.
- 10:52And that's the weird thing because it feels like they would
- 10:55naturally be at home in a movie like that.
- 10:58But it also just kind of feels like too much, you know?
- 11:01Yeah, Like, it's weird. I don't know.
- 11:03There is a way to do it. It's just don't go too hard on
- 11:07it, I guess. Yeah, I really don't know how to
- 11:09like give good criticism on that.
- 11:11Yeah, it's just, it's just too much.
- 11:14Yeah, you know when you see it. Did you have anything else?
- 11:18That was that. Also, there were times that like
- 11:20the pacing just wasn't as good as in the first one.
- 11:24Like it felt like a much longer movie.
- 11:28And it was almost the same. It was.
- 11:29It's not even an hour 20, it's like an hour 19.
- 11:33Yeah, yeah. Yeah, for me, like, like I said,
- 11:36some of that cheap humor, like some of the humor was good, but
- 11:39then some sometimes they would go with the real low hanging
- 11:43fruit stuff and like, come on, I know you guys can do better than
- 11:45that. Yeah.
- 11:47Another one is like, yeah, I I felt like it felt jumbled, like
- 11:51it's just, it didn't have a like a clear vision, I think for what
- 11:57I wanted to be because I thought that they had something awesome
- 12:02going when they had like Frank there, because he's like the
- 12:05first villain thing that they introduced.
- 12:07And he's got an awesome design and he is like able to stand up
- 12:11to Wolf Cop and defeats him easily.
- 12:13And then they retire him. And then they're like, let's now
- 12:16bring out the the shifters coming out of the tummies and
- 12:21that'll be the thing. They're basically like little
- 12:23aliens. Yeah, I really wanted to have
- 12:25more of like a follow up on Lou adjusting to his time as Wolf
- 12:28Cop because Wolf Cop is the only time when he's really competent,
- 12:31but also he is still causing havoc.
- 12:33Like there's a story in that in and of itself.
- 12:36I don't feel like we needed to have, like, the Shifters and
- 12:39Dark Star and it's hockey, but it's also beer.
- 12:41Like, it was just too many elements were competing.
- 12:44And I really like part of the heart of the first story is like
- 12:48the simplicity. Yeah, the simplicity of it and
- 12:51the character work. Yeah.
- 12:53And we don't get that as much in this one.
- 12:55Yeah, I think that they really just tried too many things and
- 12:58I, I don't know, I just pick one of them at least and like, stick
- 13:04with it. But yeah, they just had too much
- 13:06going. On yeah, like, and we could have
- 13:07kept the whole the whole like conflict of this movie could
- 13:13have been that they're trying to keep Wolf Cop like a secret
- 13:16amidst the legends. Yeah, but then again, like I
- 13:19also like that they the town was embracing them.
- 13:21But even when people are like it doesn't exist.
- 13:23That's like a you. Know what the fuck?
- 13:25It's just, I don't know, they, I don't know, I don't think they
- 13:27had like a queer. The shape shifters were not the
- 13:29engaging part of the first movie.
- 13:31I didn't need the second movie to mostly be about them.
- 13:34Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
- 13:35All right. What was your ugly?
- 13:40I hockey games are really aggressive and kind of scare me
- 13:47and this was like the epitome of that.
- 13:50Yeah, yeah, just a little bit. Yeah.
- 13:55I don't know, man. My ugly is like the Little, like
- 13:58the Bad Willy. Also so so Lou meets another
- 14:09lichen right? And this should be awesome for
- 14:13him for reasons, but when they have sex he stays as a human.
- 14:18I really don't understand what happened there.
- 14:20I think that they wanted a reversal of the first movie
- 14:22where it was him having sex with a human woman.
- 14:25And now this sounds like all right, he's gonna be human man
- 14:27and he's gonna have sex with a werewolf woman.
- 14:30And I feel. Like I was upset about that in
- 14:32the first movie as well. Yeah, it's, it's weird.
- 14:34It's like a little bit of like a bestiality type thing.
- 14:37Yeah. But it's all I don't know.
- 14:39Where do you drop the line? Yeah, put that right.
- 14:41There you go. This is like, God, we could have
- 14:44a whole philosophical debate about it.
- 14:46We really could, but it just. The end result is that I'm
- 14:49uncomfortable watching this. That's true.
- 14:52That is a very upsetting. Yeah, you're right.
- 14:55OK, absurd. Was that your same?
- 14:59Yeah, I OK. Well, no, I said mine was like a
- 15:02little or a bad Willy. OK, I just you know, he was the
- 15:05whole thing with him is disgusting, but also just like
- 15:07his his character. He's just like saying like,
- 15:09really, I don't. Know, yeah.
- 15:12Just like not it's not funny and it's just kind of like weird and
- 15:17his characters, it's almost like a little bit demeaning type
- 15:21things, you know what I mean? It's just like, I don't know,
- 15:23just shut up. Like that could have cut that
- 15:25entirely. And I think this movie would
- 15:27have been better off for it. OK, Yeah.
- 15:30All right. Now you're.
- 15:31Absurd. Now, am I absurd that anybody is
- 15:37drinking chicken milk beer? I'm not gonna lie it it sounded
- 15:42interesting because it's like a milk stout is what I took it.
- 15:46And it's like, you know, you have all these interesting
- 15:49flavors for like beers already. I don't know, like why not try
- 15:53like a chicken flavored beer? Like it sounds like a novelty
- 15:57beer, not one that you would casually drink all the time, but
- 15:59like, you know, I would sip it. I'm just being honest with.
- 16:05You don't be honest about that. OK, well, it's already out
- 16:09there. People know.
- 16:10This now people know this it's. Gross.
- 16:14Is that all you had? Yeah, I peek behind the curtain
- 16:19here. We finished watching this about
- 16:205 minutes ago so. Are you still processing?
- 16:23This a little bit, yeah. Seem like it.
- 16:24Yeah. OK, Well, mine.
- 16:27Well, First off, we have Kevin Smith as the mayor of this town,
- 16:30which is strange. I found a little bit of trivia
- 16:33on that for this too. Apparently the reason he's even
- 16:36here is because he was scouting a movie that he was working on
- 16:39at the time. So they just kind of seized the
- 16:42moment and took advantage of it, put him in the movie it.
- 16:45Feels accurate. He feels at home in a movie like
- 16:48this. Yeah, this is his type of thing.
- 16:51Also the fact that hockey, like the game is still going on and.
- 16:57Yeah. People are like going like along
- 17:00with everything as they have these shifters emerging from
- 17:04their stomach. Like people aren't fazed enough
- 17:07about this to let hockey like stop.
- 17:11I understand hockey is a huge thing for Canadians.
- 17:14It's probably like basketball for like Kentuckians here.
- 17:17But like still it was just a little bit crazy to see them
- 17:21like continue. They started the game after that
- 17:23started happening. Like they continued, like the
- 17:26plan was like involving them still having a full game of
- 17:30hockey like happen. I don't know that there really
- 17:33was much of A plan, actually. That's the thing, I don't know
- 17:36if they really thought this out for.
- 17:38The movie, I think they were trying to do like a Teen Wolf
- 17:40thing, except instead of Michael J Fox with the basketball teams,
- 17:44with the hockey. Yeah, yeah.
- 17:46And he does pretty well there. But then it's like, all right,
- 17:48let's cut that shit. We're gonna fight the dark stars
- 17:52now. That's Wolf Cop.
- 17:54Yeah, it was just, it was too many things.
- 17:56There's a lot going on. This is going.
- 17:58On a second and a third movie in the franchise mish together.
- 18:02Yeah, a little bit. Yeah.
- 18:03Alright, well, let's get to the ratings soon.
- 18:05I might give it a 5. OK.
- 18:08Like it had its moments, but it's not what I wanted it to be.
- 18:11It's not. It's not what I wanted it to be
- 18:13either. I'm giving it a four.
- 18:15Man. Yeah, it's OK.
- 18:16You know, like it, it's not. It had its moments, like you
- 18:19said, but like I'm overall disappointed at what they ended
- 18:22up doing. Like it just kind of, I don't
- 18:25know, the first one was so great.
- 18:26I loved the first one, but this one is just a it's just a mess,
- 18:30really. OK.
- 18:32So our average is 4 1/2. Hey, good math.
- 18:36Yeah, I did it. I did it.
- 18:37All right, let's do this. All right, so we start off with
- 18:41a commercial that's being filmed for Chicken, Milk, beer, and
- 18:45some like weird sound feedback happens.
- 18:48So he cuts. Also, this guy, I don't know
- 18:51why, but to me he looks like Seth MacFarlane and that was
- 18:54really distracting the whole time.
- 18:55I can kind of see it, yeah. He's AI, like how the whole
- 18:59thing starts. He's like, you're a loser now
- 19:01I'm a winner, you know? And then I like how he's like
- 19:04frustrated. He asks about the prototype and
- 19:07he's excited about it and he tells his little hench woman to
- 19:09kill the sound and by that he might kill the boom operator.
- 19:13So it was kind of like a funny little play of words.
- 19:15That was, yeah, apparently. It's like the existence hinges
- 19:18or our existence hinges on the next 48 hours.
- 19:21Yeah, you. Got to get serious.
- 19:24Man, so he was like filming that commercial and it got put out
- 19:28the same day that they were like leading up to the game.
- 19:30That's just weird. It feels like you would like put
- 19:32more hype. It's almost like they filmed a
- 19:34life, you know, Like, honestly. Fuck it.
- 19:38All right, so we now cut to a car chase happening.
- 19:41It's a Santa Claus criminal. He's driving like a he's.
- 19:45Doing the opposite of a Santa. He's taking stuff.
- 19:48Stealing gifts, it's like a Santa.
- 19:50It's like a Christmas present truck or whatever and Wolf Cop
- 19:53is in pursuit and they're in a shootout and one of the guys
- 19:59gets a bazooka and shoots the cop car.
- 20:01Yeah. And so Wolf Cop jumps on top of
- 20:04the van and he basically he massacres them that way.
- 20:07And so we cut to Tina. She is the chief now.
- 20:09She has her rookies. Scott is the one she's talking
- 20:13to in this moment. He goes, what about Wolf Cop?
- 20:15And she goes, Wolf Cop is not real.
- 20:16And he goes but I heard and she goes not real, You have a better
- 20:19chance of seeing Santa Claus. Just then the van comes back
- 20:23with Santa Claus and Wolf Cops. Yeah.
- 20:25I like the way that he killed him, you know, like they again
- 20:27the the effects got to shine. He like decapitates him.
- 20:30He chews the eyeballs out of a guy.
- 20:32'S yeah, you know. Yeah, and then they eventually
- 20:36wreck whenever he snaps the driver through the stomach and
- 20:39the cops surround the car and the wolf disappears.
- 20:43But Daisy shoots at what she thinks was an animal that was
- 20:46running away. Why are you just shooting at a
- 20:48stray animal? Yeah, it's a little bit strange
- 20:50today. Especially if it was running
- 20:51away. But it did.
- 20:52To be fair, he did steal the Donuts.
- 20:55That's true. Stole the Donuts from the car.
- 20:57So all the suspects are dead. They like, cordon off the crime
- 21:02scene and Tina goes to the animal shelter, which is where
- 21:05Lou is living now, and she yells at him for stealing the Donuts
- 21:08and for not wearing pants and for killing all of the suspects.
- 21:12Yeah. And then like as they're like
- 21:14kind of going at it, he shows her a symbol and it's the
- 21:18shifters symbol, which. Also matches the Dark Stars
- 21:21logo. So in the morning, we have like
- 21:25a radio DJ and he's talking about Sydney Swallows.
- 21:28He's reopening the brewery. It's going to revitalize jobs in
- 21:32this town. And it's also a hockey arena, so
- 21:34they're going to have a game tomorrow.
- 21:36Yeah. Sydney And also there's like an
- 21:39interim mayor. His name is Bubba Rich.
- 21:43Just. Kevin Smith, I thought he was
- 21:45going to be more significant. I thought he was too, but he's
- 21:48just, I thought he was in on it. Yeah, that's right.
- 21:51Here because he's over there and like they're doing their
- 21:53investigation, but he's promoting the beard to the.
- 21:55Cops. He's like halfway in on it, but
- 21:57like only in the like political sense where he was like bribed.
- 22:01I just think that he's super enthusiastic about hockey and
- 22:03beer. No, because he gets money too.
- 22:06Oh, he does, yeah. Yeah.
- 22:09So, yeah, he's just trying to like, push that on them.
- 22:11And who's over there? He's got the van fixing.
- 22:15Yeah, like how he just like, drives through the crime scene
- 22:17and like, through the caution tape on his way out.
- 22:19He's on clean up duty. He's not allowed to, you know,
- 22:23do cop work as a wolf that night.
- 22:25So he's got to stay locked up. And Bubba, Mayor Bubba is trying
- 22:31to get the chief to drink some beer and he's like, Are you sure
- 22:34Wolf Cop isn't real? People are saying.
- 22:38People are talking. Lou opens up the box from the
- 22:41back of the truck and it's some goo with something inside, and
- 22:46he starts to call it in, but oh, there's something from inside.
- 22:49The goo comes out. It's Willy.
- 22:51Yeah. It's the real Willy.
- 22:52He was abducted and probed, and now his stomach is upset.
- 22:57Lou asks if he's a shapeshifter or if he knows anything about
- 23:01shape shifters. And he's like, that's more like
- 23:03my sister's thing. But I do know that they're like,
- 23:06trying to take over the planet. How long has I gone?
- 23:10It's like, where have I been? So we now cut over to dark * and
- 23:15we see the scientist is working on a project that she calls
- 23:19Frank, and Frank is designed to distract the cops.
- 23:23This is Is this another universal monster nod?
- 23:27Frankenstein's Monster. Oh my God, I didn't even think
- 23:30of that, but I think you're right.
- 23:31Yeah, Brain. I just, I love this thing, man.
- 23:35It was so cool and it reminded me of like a Thing from Hell
- 23:39Comes to Frocktown. It reminded me of Adam and
- 23:44Buffy. You'll see eventually.
- 23:48Yeah, Travis is officially on Season 3 of Buffy by now.
- 23:52That's right. Just so everybody knows, he's
- 23:53met Faith Lehane. That's where we're at.
- 23:56Matt MM hmm. That's right.
- 23:59Yep. OK.
- 23:59So Lou goes to the gas station and is full of all kinds of Wolf
- 24:04cop merch, just bizarre kinds of stuff.
- 24:09And he's like, he asked that owner if he's got the rights to
- 24:12this. He goes, yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 24:13mean cops. This was a money 5050 and Lou
- 24:18has put himself in an impossible situation because he can't call
- 24:20him out on that being bullshit. Honestly, the merch is pretty
- 24:23sweet. It's like handcuffs and he's got
- 24:25like beanies and bobble heads. You know what I want it scare
- 24:29fast. I want I want the team from Wolf
- 24:32Cop there and I want them selling this merch.
- 24:35Yeah, I would buy it. Yeah, 100%.
- 24:37It's also got like a little Wolf Cop gun.
- 24:38Yeah. It's like not anything unique to
- 24:40the Wolf Cop, but it's just like branded Wolf Cop stuff.
- 24:44It's kind of funny. I have a feeling he probably
- 24:46bought this shit out like a Dollar Tree.
- 24:48Yeah. Slapped the Wolf Cop logo on.
- 24:50Top That's absolutely what happened.
- 24:54Yeah, so now we see there's a news interview with Sydney
- 25:00Swallows on the brewery. He's kind of like, given the
- 25:03rundown and all that. And then Wu decides to hightail
- 25:07it out there because it's almost time for him to transform into
- 25:09Wolf Cop. Yeah, Willie is having a baby in
- 25:13the bathroom. I just consistently refer to it
- 25:15as his baby for about half the movie until we find out it's a
- 25:19baby shaped shifter. I mean, yeah, like, it's weird
- 25:22because we see a little hand emerge.
- 25:24Yeah, and it's like a baby hand, but we don't see the hand.
- 25:27It's been a while after that. It ends up being like this, like
- 25:29long. Well, and he does refer to it as
- 25:33T Rex arms later eventually because he helps Bad Willy
- 25:36smoke. But like, it's really just they
- 25:41they didn't want to put in the time and effort to make this
- 25:44puppeteering look good. No.
- 25:47I think there are so many awkward like crops of Willie.
- 25:51Yeah, well, I almost feel like with a movie like this, it's
- 25:54kind of intentional. I think maybe they're going for
- 25:56that, but maybe I'm giving them too much leniency with that
- 25:59right there. Like, yeah, that's The thing is
- 26:01that no, it just doesn't work. It just just stop relying on
- 26:06puppets as your humor. Just don't do it.
- 26:09Yeah, yeah, yeah, puppets can work, but you got to like know
- 26:11how to use them. You know a good example, I'm
- 26:15wearing the shirt now that I'm thinking about it, when in
- 26:18slaughter house when alpha is like fighting and they just like
- 26:21Chuck a stuffed sloth across the screen.
- 26:24I love that. Yeah, that's.
- 26:25Hilarious. It's really great.
- 26:27Yeah, so I mean, that's just like a full on for the whole
- 26:30movie. Yeah, it works perfectly for
- 26:32that. OK, so we come over to strip
- 26:35club and Frank enters. I don't know why Frank is going
- 26:39to the strip club. They don't really say.
- 26:41I mean, he's a robot. That's that's where they had the
- 26:44big fight in the first movie. The bar has been turned into the
- 26:47strip club I think. Oh yeah, Interesting.
- 26:50OK. So I think they're trying to
- 26:51like, recreate that bloodbath. Oh, I see.
- 26:55I got you. Well, yeah, Frank is in there
- 26:58watching one of the strippers and he gets into a confrontation
- 27:01with one of the guys there. The guy is mad that that Frank
- 27:03isn't clapping for the dancers. And I want to say that this man
- 27:09needs to understand that clapping is not going to pay
- 27:11these ladies bills. They're up there performing a
- 27:13job. Yeah, they don't want your
- 27:15claps. It's kind of funny.
- 27:17It's like he's not mad that they're not being paid for their
- 27:19work, but more they're not being appreciated.
- 27:21Yeah, you know. Like, this is kind of funny.
- 27:25So yeah, like this is like instigates an entire bloodbath.
- 27:29He is like straighted off tearing people to.
- 27:32Stress, yes. Folding them in half, just just
- 27:35making things real bad. And the chief gets a call on the
- 27:38walkie. This is stupid humor that
- 27:40carries on throughout the whole movie that I like where every
- 27:42time she gets a call on the walkie it's.
- 27:45Just. Kind of OK, keep going.
- 27:46Like she understands it perfectly.
- 27:48It's great. And it's even when we see the
- 27:49other side of the walkie, we hear what's being said.
- 27:52It cuts to her and. It's that I did appreciate that.
- 27:56That was some good. Yeah, it's right there.
- 28:00Yeah, so she's she's getting ready to go, but then she talks
- 28:04to Willie, who she's suspicious he might still be a
- 28:07shapeshifter, and then he shows her his bad Willie.
- 28:13Yeah, yeah, I there's a lot to unpack in the scene and we don't
- 28:18have time for it. Yeah.
- 28:20So I don't have the willpower for it.
- 28:22Yeah, so she heads to the crime scene with Scott.
- 28:26No, Daisy. Yeah, Daisy and Scott had.
- 28:28Oh. Daisy and Scott.
- 28:29Yeah, yeah. They're both the rookies.
- 28:32Scott's like, man, I hope things are OK in here.
- 28:34I don't want to die on my birthday.
- 28:36And I said goodbye, Scott. Totally going to die.
- 28:39Yeah. He goes in there.
- 28:40I like that. They see all of the carnage, but
- 28:42they don't see Frank until, like, Daisy runs to go report
- 28:46it. Yeah.
- 28:47And like, Scott then sees him and then tells him to stop.
- 28:51And then Frank scans him, and he sees in his stomach that he has.
- 28:55The chicken milk, Yeah. She's like, OK, I'm not gonna
- 28:57kill you. But then he walks past him, and
- 29:00Scott insists to, like, try and make him stop.
- 29:02And then we hear gunshots from inside.
- 29:05Yeah, so when Tina gets the call, Lou overhears it.
- 29:09So he comes out to the crime scene too, Lou or he's driven by
- 29:14Willie. So they, Tina and Lou enter the
- 29:18club together and they just shoot at Frank, who is not
- 29:21affected by this. And so Frank and Lou are
- 29:23fighting. Lou is getting his ass kicked
- 29:26and eventually Tina's able to break up the fight a little bit
- 29:29with a Molotov cocktail. They get out, Lou is in really
- 29:33bad shape and Willie's like, don't worry, I can take care of
- 29:36him. And then he drives them over.
- 29:38I don't know how many towns to Regina.
- 29:41That's OK, I'm gonna laugh at that dumb 12 year old joke.
- 29:47OK. I am, yeah.
- 29:49The pronunciation of it kills me every single time they say it.
- 29:53Yeah, this is where his Willie's sister lives and they arrive at
- 29:58her place. So we are also now, while this
- 30:02is going on, seeing that Dark Star is reviewing the footage
- 30:06that Frank recorded while they were having the altercation.
- 30:10And says the wolf cop is real. Yeah.
- 30:13So Cat gives Lou a snort of some moon rock dust, which makes him
- 30:19feel better. It's his on sensu bean type of
- 30:21situation immediately. Yeah.
- 30:24And Willie really wants Cat to come back to Woodhaven and she
- 30:29says that it's not safe for her there, but she can smell the
- 30:32lichen on Lou. The three of them go to a bar
- 30:37and Willie tells Lou about Cat moving just up and moving one
- 30:41day and never gave an explanation.
- 30:43They used to be really, really close and he misses her.
- 30:45And also, he wishes that Lou and every other man on the bar would
- 30:48stop staring at her. Yeah, yeah.
- 30:49And they're kind of having a little connection now.
- 30:51And he's also trying to hide his tummy.
- 30:54Baby, he's got like duct tape down.
- 30:57Yeah. I thought that this moment was
- 30:58maybe a little bit OK, OK. This side gag of like just the
- 31:02bulge with the duct tape around it, that's good.
- 31:06I like the whole thing of him. Like he would like his little
- 31:10bad Willy would say something and be like, what did you say?
- 31:12And he'd like come up with something to like, you know,
- 31:15like cover for it or whatever. Yeah, like it worked a little
- 31:18bit here for me. So we now see, cat or not Cat,
- 31:24Tina and Daisy are reviewing the evidence of the situation here,
- 31:28and Daisy is just commenting on the beer and it's like.
- 31:33And the whole town is just like transformed by this brewery.
- 31:36Yeah, and she accidentally cracks the case.
- 31:39Yeah. And then Tina looks at the Dark
- 31:40Star logo and realizes that it looks exactly like the
- 31:43shapeshifter. Yeah, emblem.
- 31:46And she's like, all right, we're going on a field trip and
- 31:48they're going to Dark Star. So Willie is back at Kat's house
- 31:52and he's smoking with Bad Willie and Lou and Kat Burson making
- 31:57out really loudly. They go to Kat's room and she
- 32:00snorts some moon dust and she turns into a wolf and he doesn't
- 32:03and I'm. I'm I'm confused, does the moon
- 32:07dust make her transform? I think so.
- 32:10I think that's the implication. It's got to be because it's not
- 32:12like a full moon situation because we would be transforming
- 32:14too. He also like unwolfed while it
- 32:17was still night time the night before when they were driving to
- 32:20Regina so. He did.
- 32:23It's wildly inconsistent. It is.
- 32:28It's irresponsible. Come on.
- 32:30Yeah, so whatever. They have really loud sex for
- 32:34four hours, according to Willie, and then he is trying to turn up
- 32:38the TV so he doesn't have to listen to it.
- 32:40And the Swallows commercial comes on for the Chicken Milk
- 32:44beer. And it gets bad willy's
- 32:46attention for some reason and causes it to react and pretty
- 32:50much just fully escape willy's. Body and it no longer looks like
- 32:53a small Willy. It looks like a little alien
- 32:57dinosaur thing. Yeah, I I really don't know how
- 33:00to describe this little thing. Yeah, and it's just like it's
- 33:03running around, so Kat and Lou have to help get it.
- 33:08Yeah, they. Shoot it.
- 33:10Yeah, and then we we also find out that like, the reason Cat
- 33:14ran away was because she turned into a werewolf and she didn't
- 33:18want to tell Willie, so that's why she disappeared.
- 33:23You know you got your reasons there.
- 33:24Whatever works for him. Yeah, Tina and Daisy overhear
- 33:29the mayor being bribed by Sydney Swallows and he's drinking, you
- 33:33know, the chicken milk beer. And that's when Sydney turns on
- 33:36his little evil machine, which just looks like a little light
- 33:40up spin toy and. Looks like the thing that we use
- 33:43for. Our driller killers, Yes, that's
- 33:45exactly what I was going to say. I think that they use that exact
- 33:48toy. Yeah, so, yeah.
- 33:51And it it causes the mayor to have his own little baby, but it
- 33:56just comes out like the green little alien dinosaur monster
- 33:59thing. But it does kill the mayor in
- 34:01the process. So let's see.
- 34:06We we can't. When she shoots the little baby
- 34:10shapeshifter, she realizes that because the shape shifters can't
- 34:14reproduce in Earth's atmosphere. Obviously.
- 34:17Yeah, but if they found some way to impregnate humans, Dun, Dun,
- 34:21Dun. So we cut to Dark Sir Brewery
- 34:25and Arena. Yeah, who gets who gets called?
- 34:31And I'm pretty sure it's from Tina, who is like, telling him
- 34:34everything that goes in there, like, all right, let's go.
- 34:37So yeah, they arrive at the the arena.
- 34:40Brewery and arena? Nothing.
- 34:43It's just it's funny to me that it's brewery and arena.
- 34:46It's the most Canadian thing ever.
- 34:47Like honestly, this movie like combines all of the it's not the
- 34:51niceness of Canadians. It like, it's like this is the
- 34:53part, like the drunkenness and the.
- 34:55Hockey and these are the stereotypes that people make fun
- 34:58of us for. Yeah, pretty much.
- 35:01So the game is about to start. Everybody's getting chicken,
- 35:04milk, beer, including kids. We see as the visiting team
- 35:10enters like they're heading towards the the hockey.
- 35:13They're the vagina pod ashers. What the fuck man I don't fuck
- 35:20this movie breaks my brain the more we talking about.
- 35:23Yeah, I don't know enough about hockey for what I'm sure are a
- 35:27lot of jokes that are supposed to be landing.
- 35:30Well, he woo grabs one of the visiting players and like,
- 35:34knocks him out and takes his jersey.
- 35:36Yeah, he's a full wolf at this. Point yeah, he's teen wolfing.
- 35:39He's. Wolfing out of his.
- 35:41Jersey pretty. Hard right now, but nobody
- 35:42notices. Yeah, they're just the goalies
- 35:45are notoriously hairy, I guess. Pretty much Daisy is supposed to
- 35:50be Sydney swallows like collateral cuz she's tied up.
- 35:54Yeah, she's tied up. Like there's just so much.
- 35:59The pacing of all of this is so weird, and it doesn't seem very
- 36:02well like plotted. And it's, yeah, it's, it's just
- 36:05a mess. Right here yeah cuz we've got
- 36:07Cindy. He comes out, he like.
- 36:09Carpet on there and then like somebody like skates over to him
- 36:12and hands him a beer. It's like, all right, we're here
- 36:14to welcome the dark stars. Let's toast the beer.
- 36:17So this makes sense. It's like he's getting everybody
- 36:19to drink, proposing a toast. Then we have Organo playing the
- 36:22Oregon. Yeah, the National.
- 36:24Anthem, the national anthem and playing the little evil machine
- 36:28at the same time. Yeah, So that's getting the
- 36:30crowd to start having its little shapeshifter babies, OK.
- 36:36Somebody's out there broom brooming in our Yeah.
- 36:38Our neighborhood Willie has like replaced the ref and he's got
- 36:44the game going, but then he leaves the game to go kill
- 36:47Organo. Tina, meanwhile, is a Zamboni
- 36:51repair person. She's disguised as one to maybe
- 36:55infiltrate and get information. She knocks out a security guard
- 36:58and peeks behind the door and sees that the dark stars are not
- 37:02human. They're getting injected with
- 37:03something. Yeah, so she lets Lou know
- 37:06about. It and then he fights all of the
- 37:08Dark Stars with his hockey skills.
- 37:10But like while all this is happening, everybody in the
- 37:13stands like weighing shifter babies from their tummies.
- 37:18And the three Regina dance cheerleaders are having a feud
- 37:25with Sydney's henchwoman. But they're also just kind of
- 37:28into the game and just cheering and shit like I, I don't know
- 37:32what the fuck is happening. Right here, this, this whole
- 37:34like final act is just kind of a disaster here.
- 37:37It's so crazy. And then we get a Zamboni tank
- 37:40just kind of come out of nowhere.
- 37:42This should. Have been an awesome moment.
- 37:43What? The fuck is happening?
- 37:46It's caught. Up in the chaos of everything.
- 37:47Else, I like that idea. I like the guy before it's like
- 37:50there's no Zambonis here. And then we see like a Zamboni
- 37:53tank. He technically he's not wrong.
- 37:56It's not a tank. We don't need no stinking
- 37:58Zambonis like I don't. Know and it's like it's shooting
- 38:02at Lou and it fucks him up but then we see another wolf land on
- 38:08top of it and yank the the person driving out killing her
- 38:12and then the Zamboni tank is thwarted and then they get.
- 38:16Meanwhile, Tina's back somewhere else in the arena.
- 38:20Sydney's trying to leave with Daisy.
- 38:23Tina shoots him. Doesn't hurt him because he's a
- 38:25shapeshifter, but she does get Daisy back.
- 38:27And then he's like, you don't want to kill me.
- 38:30There's all of these bombs here waiting to go off.
- 38:33You want to go save your friends.
- 38:35He runs out. They go and gather up everybody
- 38:37who's still alive and run out just in time for the bombs to go
- 38:40off. Yeah, I mean, they got like Lou
- 38:41some more. Like again, they're like, we
- 38:43need to get Lou the moon dust. He needs to heal and then like
- 38:46they don't have enough and he's like, oh wait, alcohol heals the
- 38:49loo, which I can't remember. Was that the thing in the first
- 38:51one? I think it was.
- 38:52I don't know, but the fact that they find a way to work in a
- 38:55moonshine joke. Oh my God, I didn't even make
- 38:58that connection. He drinks moonshine in a hills,
- 39:02so like they're saying, moonshine is pretty much from
- 39:04the moon. In this.
- 39:05Movie. OK, yeah, well, it was all
- 39:08better now. And, you know, like nothing
- 39:11really happens. They get out of the building in
- 39:13time for it to explode. Yep, and then they all go to the
- 39:16bar. And the built like it explodes
- 39:18and they all just kind of watch the aftermath.
- 39:20And then we see next morning they're still there, but they're
- 39:23transformed to the human selves now and then.
- 39:26Yeah, they're just joking. Like, hey, those are fucking
- 39:28crazy. Night wasn't the guys, let's go
- 39:30to the bar. I need some drinks after that
- 39:32shit. And then it it cuts the credits
- 39:36and then we do get an after credits team.
- 39:39And I feel like this is probably a guy from the first movie
- 39:42because I did not recognize. Him from?
- 39:43Yeah. But it's a guy being willed out
- 39:46in the middle of the night by a nun, and apparently he's had
- 39:50some kind of, like, rehab going on, and he's had, like, facial
- 39:53reconstruction. I think probably is a guy that
- 39:56guy's face torn off in the first movie.
- 39:57Yeah. I feel like I remember something
- 39:59like that happening. He's like, all right, I'm gonna
- 40:01go and I'm gonna have a better life.
- 40:02And then he walks into the middle of the road and gets hit
- 40:04by a cop car, which I'm assuming was Wolf Cop.
- 40:07Yeah. And then we get a message saying
- 40:10Wolf Cop will return. Yep.
- 40:12So that is how this movie goes guys.
- 40:17I am sorry. I feel like this was a weird one
- 40:19for us because it was a weird one for us to watch and I really
- 40:23don't know how else to talk about it.
- 40:25Yeah, and believe it or not, this is better than the notes we
- 40:28had started for the movie we got 20 minutes into and we're like.
- 40:31We can't do this. Yeah, this is this is not going
- 40:33to be anything worth talking. About, I don't know, we're in a
- 40:37weird headspace right now. This is a weird movie to, but
- 40:40like I said, I feel like they just had too many plot elements
- 40:42going on and I think if they'd kept it simpler it would have
- 40:46been better. Yeah, it was just unfocused,
- 40:49Yeah. Like they they didn't have like
- 40:51a coherent, A coherent vision. It felt like he did.
- 40:55He knew he was going to have a hard time making a third one, so
- 40:57he wanted to use all of the ideas he had and then goal.
- 41:00Movie at the end he's like but there will be a third one like I
- 41:04don't know just save save it save some of it man just.
- 41:06Manifesting he's goal manifesting he is.
- 41:09I'm not going to blame him for that.
- 41:10You're. Right.
- 41:10I am. It's yeah, I just I.
- 41:15I'll keep it at a 5 because there's like decent enough humor
- 41:20throughout, but fuck the puppets man.
- 41:22Yeah, I'm keeping mine at a four.
- 41:24Like, I don't know, I'm just let down because I like the first
- 41:26one so much. And it had promise.
- 41:28Like we didn't have to deal with the whole wolf becoming a wolf
- 41:31thing and handling that. We could have just started like
- 41:33he's a wolf. Yeah, and like, OK, so there's
- 41:36this whole debate. Is the wolf cop a myth or not?
- 41:39That's when we bring in Cat and we find out there's actually
- 41:42another werewolf going on and they're like spy versus spying,
- 41:45you know? Yeah, And have it all be about
- 41:47Frank. No, like, it's just like there's
- 41:50a criminal organization. It's not shifters anymore.
- 41:52And they're like, all right, well, we need to run rampant in
- 41:55the Sound. This fucking Wolf cop is.
- 41:59He's keeping the streets too clean, man.
- 42:00We need to do something to, you know, keep him down so they
- 42:03build this. Thing the streets run red with
- 42:06his justice. Boom, there we go.
- 42:08That's a sick tagline. We fucking did and well done.
- 42:11We don't even normally do tag lines for Tubi or not to be.
- 42:13That's right. OK, but who did you relate to?
- 42:19OK, hold on. Yes.
- 42:20First. Yeah.
- 42:21Yeah, Let's. If we had a sequel to this
- 42:23movie, what would you want it to be?
- 42:25OK, well how do we take it from here?
- 42:27Holy shit. Take it back to basics.
- 42:30Definitely take it back to basics.
- 42:31Yeah, OK, so we got 2 wolves now.
- 42:34We're totally cool with that yes, Willie's just here now.
- 42:37He's totally fine and. They're getting a cut of the
- 42:40merch from Liquor Donuts gas station.
- 42:42Yeah, yeah. Willie runs that Willie.
- 42:48No, Willie's the mayor. Willie's the mayor, Willie.
- 42:50'S the mayor. Yeah, yeah.
- 42:52And he is trying to keep the town clean, trying to keep shape
- 42:56shifters out. But he's so distracted by shape
- 42:58shifters that when a new business comes in, he doesn't
- 43:00even suspect that they're. Vampires.
- 43:03Vampires is a good one. Yeah.
- 43:04Yeah. All right.
- 43:06OK, there we go. And then keep it just vampires.
- 43:10Yeah, keep it simple. We don't need and no fucking
- 43:13puppets. And you know what?
- 43:15Don't make a vampire fuck a werewolf in this one.
- 43:19And I'm I, I haven't it. I'm OK.
- 43:21With no more wolf genitalia, I don't need the six boobies or
- 43:25the peen. I don't need any of it.
- 43:28Yeah, we want vampire genitalia. Yeah, OK.
- 43:33Now, who did you relate to? Oh God who?
- 43:36I don't know who is the person that struggled the most in this
- 43:39movie cuz it's me. I relate to Scott opposite of
- 43:43Scott because I think it would be really cool to die on my
- 43:46birthday so everybody knows exactly how old I was at a
- 43:48glance. BRB dying.
- 43:50Exactly. Yeah.
- 43:53So you relate to Scott? I guess I probably relate to.
- 44:01I don't know man. Actually, no, I I relate to the
- 44:02Merricks. He had no idea what the fuck was
- 44:04happening. It's very he was just drinking
- 44:06beer and he was like, he just died.
- 44:08I could probably just relate to one of the people in liquor
- 44:11Donuts that's just trying to get a liquor donut.
- 44:14It's trying to get my liquor donut.
- 44:15Yeah. God, yeah, you know what?
- 44:18I can relate to that part too. OK, all right.
- 44:22What was Scout's favorite part? Oh my God.
- 44:25Whoa, how do I pick? I think Scout's favorite part
- 44:30was when they were like coming out of the tummy because Scout
- 44:34can appreciate some tummy damage.
- 44:37No, obviously Scout's favorite part was when Cat turned into a
- 44:44werewolf because the cat is super strong.
- 44:47Because she's a cat that can turn into a.
- 44:49Werewolf. Yes, exactly.
- 44:50Sure. Yeah, Yeah.
- 44:52We'll go with that, OK. We don't do Warriors or show
- 44:59like that for this. I think we just pretty much are
- 45:01moving right on over to the reviews.
- 45:03We are moving right on to the reviews, that's correct.
- 45:05OK, well let's see here. OK, so I'm gonna go ahead and
- 45:09start off with a -1 that I found here.
- 45:12It's a 2 outs in titled Rushed Out and Juvenile.
- 45:16Another Wolf Cop is a rushed out sequel to the cult classic, a
- 45:20film I was rather ambivalent about on watching.
- 45:23However, this one's a completely different story.
- 45:25A travesty from beginning to end, gone as any freshness in
- 45:2880s cult vibe to be replaced by endless juvenile comedy, a
- 45:32subplot ripped off from bad Milo, and lots of bad taste
- 45:35shenanigans. It's base and senseless with
- 45:38mugging actors seeking laughs and coming off intensely
- 45:42irritating and tacked on cheesy gore that contributes nothing.
- 45:46I hated every second of it enough to give it a 2 out of 10
- 45:50though there was something there that was redeeming I guess.
- 45:53Yeah, it and it was missing that like the 80s vibe that the first
- 45:57one had. Yeah, it just and I agree, it's
- 45:59a lot of juvenile humor. I can handle some juvenile
- 46:02humor. Like I said, that column town
- 46:04pronouncing it Regina. It's stupid and funny.
- 46:07Just don't go full board with that, you know, just sprinkle
- 46:11that in. Yeah.
- 46:13It's appropriate, but still, yeah, it doesn't have to be like
- 46:16that the entire time. I agree with that.
- 46:19All right, well, let's get a +1, OK?
- 46:22OK. So here is a we got a God.
- 46:29Hold on, I'm looking through some here.
- 46:31Boy, let's. See Okay, this one is A7 out 10.
- 46:36It is titled Bad, Weird but entertaining.
- 46:39Okay, this is a sequel to Wolf Cop which is sort of a comedy
- 46:42horror about an alcoholic small town cop who turns into a
- 46:45werewolf when the moon is out. The first film was bizarre but
- 46:48funny. The sequel seems to be trying to
- 46:50take bizarre to new levels. I think they're trying to
- 46:53recreate films from the 1980s. There's a lot of 80s style music
- 46:56and poster screams in 1980s cop film.
- 46:59The film has a lot of blood but it's more for comedic effect.
- 47:02The film opens with wolf cop dismembering a gang with a lot
- 47:05of blood. But even my wife found it funny
- 47:08and she hates films like this. The comedy is really more than
- 47:11the word with creatures growing out of people and in 1980s style
- 47:15sex scene involving Wolf Cop as a human and a female werewolf.
- 47:20Adding in Yannick Bison playing as a far opposite from Detective
- 47:25Murdoch as it is probably possible to go, plus an
- 47:29uncredited appearance from a well known American actor slash
- 47:31director. Are you afraid to say his name,
- 47:34Sir? He's, he's worried that Kevin
- 47:37Smith is going to Disney him, which is what Kevin Smith is
- 47:41known for, obviously. If you like the kind of films
- 47:45which deals with issues and deep thoughts then I would avoid this
- 47:48film. If you want a funny horror film
- 47:50where you don't have to think much or at all then go for this.
- 47:53I was sober and British when I watched this but I think the
- 47:57film could be more appreciated. Drunk and Canadian.
- 48:00What the fuck? OK, I was going to ask if he's
- 48:03no longer British but now I get what he's saying.
- 48:05I renounce my nationality. This movie will do that, too.
- 48:10I'm no longer American. Yeah.
- 48:12I don't know what I am right now.
- 48:14I'm a traveling entity. I'm a sovereign citizen now.
- 48:16Boy. That's what this does to you,
- 48:19boy boy. OK, we've watched it.
- 48:25It's done. We're going to talk about
- 48:27Influencer on Thursday. Yeah, I mean, actually, we're
