- 0:00Speaker 1: You cannot trust how you feel because your feelings are
- 0:05Speaker 1: a conglomerate of your experiences. They're built off of your history,
- 0:11Speaker 1: not your destiny. You're the season where you gotta trust
- 0:15Speaker 1: your wings. You gotta trust your wings. You gotta trust
- 0:17Speaker 1: that what God gave you is enough to handle whatever
- 0:20Speaker 1: life throws that you. You gotta trust that God is
- 0:23Speaker 1: with you always. If the branch breaks, He's with you.
- 0:27Speaker 2: The reason you've.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Got the kind of power you got is not just
- 0:30Speaker 1: because you read your Bible, but your Bible read you.
- 0:36Speaker 1: All the chaff is being beat away so that the
- 0:40Speaker 1: wheat falls to the ground. And whenever God puts you
- 0:44Speaker 1: in an uncomfortable situation, he's sifting you. What matters, what
- 0:53Speaker 1: doesn't matter, what's real, what's not real, what counts, what
- 0:57Speaker 1: doesn't count? Who I can have, who I can without?
- 1:04Speaker 1: Where are my real people? At?
- 1:05Speaker 2: Holler at your boy?
- 1:09Speaker 1: You go through these sperioits where you get stuck in
- 1:13Speaker 1: this wine press, and he starts shaking away stuff that
- 1:19Speaker 1: you thought you had to have. And here comes a call,
- 1:26Speaker 1: a high calling, a divine calling, a supernatural callingue that
- 1:33Speaker 1: has classified information about me that I don't have on myself,
- 1:40Speaker 1: and the angel is speaking out of his knowledge of
- 1:43Speaker 1: how I was designed, and I'm living out of my
- 1:47Speaker 1: knowledge of what I grew up around. And I have
- 1:54Speaker 1: to decide in this struggle, which one of these entities
- 1:58Speaker 1: is going to win this fight. I grew up around
- 2:01Speaker 1: on what I was created to be, because one of
- 2:04Speaker 1: them are going to determine what the trajectory of my
- 2:07Speaker 1: future looks like.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Who am I preaching to?
- 2:20Speaker 1: You? Remember when me and June started that window and
- 2:22Speaker 1: siding company. You remember that I got laid off a
- 2:26Speaker 1: Union car body that he started the window in siding
- 2:29Speaker 1: company and did me a favor of hiring me to
- 2:33Speaker 1: come in there. We was gonna do like Daddy, and
- 2:34Speaker 1: we was gonna build a family business. And we opened
- 2:37Speaker 1: up the windows and signing company, and we kept getting
- 2:40Speaker 1: into trouble and ran out of money, and I ended
- 2:44Speaker 1: up losing my car and I didn't have no car
- 2:48Speaker 1: because I was following his vision for my life. When
- 2:58Speaker 1: I put my car up up to get the business out,
- 3:04Speaker 1: I did it because I loved my brother, and I
- 3:06Speaker 1: did it because I wanted us to win. I did
- 3:08Speaker 1: it because I wanted us to succeed. But I also
- 3:11Speaker 1: did it because I didn't know I was me. Had
- 3:23Speaker 1: I known I was me, jan I would have stepped
- 3:28Speaker 1: right over top of the window and side and company
- 3:35Speaker 1: get in is in the wine press because it is
- 3:40Speaker 1: possible not to know who you are, who you really are,
- 3:49Speaker 1: at your core, at your essence, what you were created
- 3:52Speaker 1: to be, what your potentials are, what you can reach,
- 3:55Speaker 1: what you can become, what you can withstand, what you
- 3:59Speaker 1: can undu how tough you really are, how strong you
- 4:03Speaker 1: really are, how tough nations you really are. It is
- 4:07Speaker 1: possible not to know it because your feelings don't always
- 4:10Speaker 1: validate your reality. You can feel like collapsing and still
- 4:18Speaker 1: be fighting. You can feel like the victim and be
- 4:21Speaker 1: the victor. You can feel limited and still having exhausted
- 4:25Speaker 1: all that's inside of you. You cannot define yourself by
- 4:29Speaker 1: how you feel. Your feelings cannot be trusted. Your feelings
- 4:33Speaker 1: will lie to you, Your feelings will deceive you. Your
- 4:37Speaker 1: feelings will have you in the wine press. Your feelings
- 4:40Speaker 1: will have you down in the wine press, beaten up wheat,
- 4:48Speaker 1: Oh my god. You cannot trust how you feel because
- 4:55Speaker 1: your feelings are a conglomerate of your experiences. They are
- 5:00Speaker 1: built off of your history, not your destiny. They are
- 5:05Speaker 1: your response to what happened, not what's about to happen.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Your praise is about what's about to happen. Your praise
- 5:17Speaker 1: is expectation that this isn't over yet. Your praise is
- 5:22Speaker 1: about a happy ending on the other side of this. Child,
- 5:26Speaker 1: your praise. I'm not praising God. Come on me, motion off.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I'm not praising God because I'm religious. I'm not praising
- 5:40Speaker 1: God because I'm Black. I'm praising God. Behold, I have
- 5:44Speaker 1: an expectation that I may be down yet right now,
- 5:49Speaker 1: but it ain't all the come up. Say all. I
- 6:01Speaker 1: don't think I'm gonna die today because I think there
- 6:03Speaker 1: might be something else inside of me. I don't think
- 6:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna give up right now because I think there's
- 6:07Speaker 1: something else inside of me. I don't think I'm gonna
- 6:09Speaker 1: quit just there because I think there's something else inside
- 6:11Speaker 1: of me. I may be going through a bad season.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I may have to cry myself to sleep, I may
- 6:17Speaker 1: have to rock my pillar until I go to bed
- 6:19Speaker 1: at night. I may have to go to work in
- 6:21Speaker 1: a raggedy car, but I think there's something else inside
- 6:26Speaker 1: of me. I might be in a bankruptcy, but I think,
- 6:29Speaker 1: I think, I think, I think.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I man.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Sit down with me from her sit down with me?
- 6:43Speaker 1: Can I go a little bit deeferent? I feel something
- 6:45Speaker 1: about to break in this place. I feel like something
- 6:48Speaker 1: is about to break ride open in this way. I'm
- 6:51Speaker 1: not gonna stop till I get it. I'm not gonna stop.
- 6:54Speaker 1: I'm not gonna stop till I get it. I'm not
- 6:55Speaker 1: gonna stop. The angel tells, get in, and he's a warrior.
- 7:06Speaker 1: He throws him in the conflict. How can this be?
- 7:18Speaker 1: My tribe is Vanessa, it's the smallest tribe. I'm the
- 7:22Speaker 1: youngest person. How can this be? We're at war with
- 7:25Speaker 1: the Malachites and the Midianites and they're winning. How how
- 7:28Speaker 1: can I be a mighty warrior? I'm at the lowest
- 7:31Speaker 1: point and I'm the youngest person in the smallest tribe,
- 7:35Speaker 1: in the worst situation. And God comes and says, you
- 7:38Speaker 1: a mighty man of Bilah. That's what it's like coming
- 7:44Speaker 1: to this church sometimes, because everything all week long says
- 7:50Speaker 1: give up and die. And then you come here on
- 7:54Speaker 1: Sunday morning and I'm telling you you are the head
- 7:57Speaker 1: and not the tale. You are above and believe you
- 8:01Speaker 1: are more than a concord. You can do all things
- 8:04Speaker 1: through Christ, which strength is you. God didn't bring you
- 8:08Speaker 1: this part to leave you. God didn't take you through
- 8:10Speaker 1: everything you've been through for you to get herehead and
- 8:13Speaker 1: die in the wide prayers. I came to tell you something.
- 8:20Speaker 2: To get in.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Dropped this week because somebody called him a warrior, and
- 8:24Speaker 1: it made him know that he was more than what
- 8:27Speaker 1: he was doing. And after wrestling with God is struggling
- 8:31Speaker 1: with God and putting fleece before God, he started living. Wait,
- 8:42Speaker 1: he started living in the middle of his life, because
- 8:48Speaker 1: life doesn't begin when your mama pushes you out. Life
- 8:52Speaker 1: begins when you find out who you are. Life begins
- 9:07Speaker 1: when it hits you in the back of your head.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I'm better than this. I'm bigger than my circumstances. I
- 9:16Speaker 1: got a destiny and a purpose on my life. God
- 9:20Speaker 1: created me for a reason. He called me for a purpose.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I am in this world to do something.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Who am I preaching to it?
- 9:28Speaker 1: Here and get in. Doesn't even know that he's going
- 9:43Speaker 1: to be in the Book of Judges. He doesn't know
- 9:47Speaker 1: that he is going to lead the army that drives
- 9:51Speaker 1: out the Midianites renders helpless. The amount of kites, that
- 9:56Speaker 1: he is going to take less men and kill more
- 10:00Speaker 1: people with less men than we have ever seen done
- 10:04Speaker 1: in the history of the scriptures. If he can get
- 10:07Speaker 1: out of this pit and somebody in this room, you're
- 10:13Speaker 1: one pit away from supernatural purpose. And the Lord told
- 10:20Speaker 1: me that if I would preach this message this morning,
- 10:24Speaker 1: it would wake somebody up to get up out of
- 10:26Speaker 1: that pit, that they were coming to another understanding of
- 10:30Speaker 1: who they were, that God would do something amazing in
- 10:34Speaker 1: their life. God told me, if I preach this message
- 10:37Speaker 1: this morning, somebody would drop their wheat and grab their
- 10:41Speaker 1: sword and stand up on their feet again. And I
- 10:45Speaker 1: understand who they are.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Pulling out preaching to this morning.
- 10:53Speaker 1: You got something to do in this stage of your
- 10:56Speaker 1: life that is greater than anything you have ever done
- 11:00Speaker 1: in your entire life. In fact, everything in your past
- 11:05Speaker 1: was getting you ready for what you're about to do
- 11:08Speaker 1: in your life.
- 11:09Speaker 2: If I'm preaching to you, make some noise in this.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Trick, Make some guys in this ye ye joy. God,
- 11:58Speaker 1: take the smallest trial and the youngest God with the
- 12:04Speaker 1: worst sidetitude.
- 12:09Speaker 2: To lead a massive people and get it.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Starts out with nine thousand and then go says, take
- 12:17Speaker 1: them down to the brook, and only choose the men
- 12:22Speaker 1: who locked water like a dog. And when they got
- 12:28Speaker 1: down to the brook, all of the men who drink
- 12:30Speaker 1: in a fancy way, we're not chosen. Because you can't
- 12:35Speaker 1: have two cute people.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Not with you at a fight.
- 12:43Speaker 1: You can't have somebody who got to have on the
- 12:46Speaker 1: stilettos not with you at a fight. You can't have
- 12:50Speaker 1: somebody who got English French freingernails on not with you
- 12:55Speaker 1: in a fight. He said, pick out three hundred men
- 13:00Speaker 1: will lock water like a doll, that will get down
- 13:04Speaker 1: on their knees and start lapping it. Three hundred men
- 13:07Speaker 1: that don't have nothing to lose, don't care what they look.
- 13:11Speaker 1: This is a season that's you have can surround yourself.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Were people who know how to get down. This is
- 13:23Speaker 1: a season that God is gonna take you. Who am
- 13:28Speaker 1: I preaching to? So this is where we're at right now.
- 13:43Speaker 1: The annoying of God is in this place. The spirit
- 13:46Speaker 1: of God is here, The glory of the Lord is
- 13:49Speaker 1: in this place. The Lord has he here for a reason.
- 13:53Speaker 1: There's something that God is getting ready to do in
- 13:56Speaker 1: your life. There's something that God has for you that's important.
- 14:03Speaker 1: And I'm telling you not knowing is a problem. Not knowing.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Who you are is a real problem.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Living your life according to what other people said about
- 14:19Speaker 1: you is a real problem. Living your life based on
- 14:23Speaker 1: your net worth is a real problem. The message is
- 14:29Speaker 1: called I didn't know I was me, Lord Have mercy.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I feel like I'm supposed to preach this today. I
- 14:43Speaker 1: feel like I'm talking to somebody today. I feel like
- 14:47Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit is pushing in on somebody today. Jenny
- 14:54Speaker 1: would be shocked to find out he made the Bible.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Jenny to find out that he could fight get in
- 15:05Speaker 1: was shocked to find out watch this that he was
- 15:09Speaker 1: the guy he'd been praying, asking God to sin.
- 15:19Speaker 2: He didn't have.
- 15:24Speaker 1: He didn't know that he was the people he'd been
- 15:27Speaker 1: waiting on. Let me bring it down. He didn't know
- 15:33Speaker 1: that he was trying to get other people to love
- 15:36Speaker 1: him because he didn't love himself. Let me bring it
- 15:41Speaker 1: down to reachable goals. He didn't know that he was
- 15:46Speaker 1: trying to find in other people what God had placed
- 15:49Speaker 1: inside of him. He didn't know that he was asking
- 15:57Speaker 1: God to sin. He already was that day in the
- 16:06Speaker 1: wine press with weed everywhere, and chaff on the ground.
- 16:14Speaker 1: The angel called him something that he couldn't see, but
- 16:18Speaker 1: he became what he was called. Before God formed you
- 16:23Speaker 1: in your mother's belly, he knew you. Out of the
- 16:33Speaker 1: millions of sperm cells your father shot into your mother.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Before you ever read a Bible, one cell outswammed them.
- 16:42Speaker 1: All the odds were against you before you got here,
- 16:53Speaker 1: and when you were on a cellular level, you outswammed
- 16:59Speaker 1: the rest. That's how you got here, that's how you started.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Sometimes when you come from eternity in the time, you
- 17:14Speaker 1: don't remember who you were before. But his services like
- 17:21Speaker 1: this where God calls you and he makes you know
- 17:29Speaker 1: things about yourself that you didn't know. This message is
- 17:32Speaker 1: a confirmation. Jane, I was the last person to know
- 17:53Speaker 1: I was Tdj's I didn't know that.
- 18:04Speaker 2: The books were being translated into different languages I did.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I didn't know it. I saw it, but I didn't
- 18:10Speaker 1: see it. The stadiums were full, people fighting outside trying
- 18:16Speaker 1: to get in.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Right. I didn't know I was me. I don't.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I don't like saying that because it makes you sound stupid.
- 18:34Speaker 1: I was on the New York Times bestsellers list. It
- 18:36Speaker 1: still didn't add up.
- 18:37Speaker 2: To me.
- 18:40Speaker 1: That I was me. I think sometimes grace puts blinders
- 18:45Speaker 1: on your eyes. I could see all of you, I
- 18:51Speaker 1: couldn't see me. But there was a nagging voice in
- 18:58Speaker 1: my head that was correcting damaged thinking honestly, and I
- 19:14Speaker 1: learned something as I got older. I didn't know I
- 19:20Speaker 1: was mean because I was afraid. Winning has so much
- 19:32Speaker 1: responsibility to it. Losing is easy. All you had to
- 19:41Speaker 1: do to lose is just let go. Nobody expects nothing
- 19:47Speaker 1: from you, nobody demands anything of you. Sometimes you're afraid
- 19:53Speaker 1: of what God has next for you. And I'm being
- 19:56Speaker 1: transparent because I'm after something and I don't even know, oh,
- 20:00Speaker 1: who it is. Most of the people who wrote about
- 20:09Speaker 1: me had never met me, and they wrote about a
- 20:11Speaker 1: person that I didn't even understand. They wrote about how
- 20:15Speaker 1: they would feel if they were me. I didn't feel
- 20:18Speaker 1: like that because I didn't know I was me. I'm
- 20:27Speaker 1: telling you, I was playing the piano for people loading
- 20:35Speaker 1: their cars with bags and driving them around.
- 20:39Speaker 2: I didn't know I was me.
- 20:44Speaker 1: That doesn't mean that it should have happened any sooner,
- 20:46Speaker 1: because I think it is the menial things that developed you.
- 20:58Speaker 1: I think it is the blind spot I say, give
- 21:00Speaker 1: you a focus. I'm not trying to rush the process.
- 21:04Speaker 1: I'm just trying to describe a place you might be
- 21:06Speaker 1: right now. All I knew is said, whenever I got
- 21:13Speaker 1: around something that had my destiny in it, I was
- 21:16Speaker 1: drawn to it.
- 21:23Speaker 2: I was attracted to me, and I would do anything
- 21:26Speaker 2: to be in the room.
- 21:29Speaker 1: With it.
- 21:31Speaker 2: And I admired it, but I didn't think i'd ever
- 21:33Speaker 2: be it, because I didn't know it was me.
- 21:39Speaker 1: David is now has gone through a period of hiding
- 21:43Speaker 1: amongst the people he was fighting.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Look at how fluid he is. He is now hiding.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Amongst the Philistines from the people he was fighting for.
- 22:00Speaker 1: And sometimes when you shut doors, you shut doors prematurely
- 22:06Speaker 1: because you don't understand how the branch will break and
- 22:10Speaker 1: the situation will change and you'll find yourself on the
- 22:13Speaker 1: opposite side. And David has had to hide amongst the Philistines,
- 22:18Speaker 1: framing himself to be mad, finally ending up with six
- 22:22Speaker 1: hundred men and their families in Ziglag. And he is
- 22:27Speaker 1: in Ziglag because he is too much an Israelite to
- 22:31Speaker 1: fit in with the Philistines. But he's been with the
- 22:34Speaker 1: Philistines so long that he can't go back to the Israelites,
- 22:38Speaker 1: and sometimes you have to create your own camp. Come on, somebody,
- 22:45Speaker 1: because you don't I'm talking to the misfit people. Ah,
- 22:48Speaker 1: you fit people don't get it. But to the misfit people,
- 22:51Speaker 1: I want to talk to the people that you're not
- 22:53Speaker 1: quite this, and you're not quite that, and you're not
- 22:56Speaker 1: quite here, and you're not quite there, and you can't
- 22:58Speaker 1: really explain where you're at. Sometimes you got to create
- 23:02Speaker 1: your own camp. And David is in Ziglag with six
- 23:06Speaker 1: hundred men fighting for them and their families and their children,
- 23:10Speaker 1: and their goats and their cattle and their oxen. And
- 23:13Speaker 1: they have just come back from a mission. And when
- 23:19Speaker 1: you come back from a mission, sometimes you come back
- 23:23Speaker 1: weary and tired. Have you noticed that we have been
- 23:29Speaker 1: in a series of battles. Maybe it's just me, it's
- 23:34Speaker 1: not you. How many people as soon as you get
- 23:37Speaker 1: out of one thing, here comes something else. And as
- 23:41Speaker 1: soon as you survived this, now you got that, you
- 23:44Speaker 1: finally got the house paid off. Now your body's acting crazy.
- 23:48Speaker 1: You finally got your head on straight, got your therapy together,
- 23:51Speaker 1: but your credit it's tracked up. How many people have
- 23:54Speaker 1: gone from battle, the battle, the battle of the battle,
- 23:56Speaker 1: the battle. And I don't care how strong you are,
- 23:59Speaker 1: and I don't care how knowing it that you are,
- 24:01Speaker 1: and I don't care how gifted you are, and I
- 24:03Speaker 1: don't care how talented you are. With you come back
- 24:06Speaker 1: from a battle, you are tired, and it's called battle fatigue.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Some of you have not been diagnosed yet. You are
- 24:15Speaker 1: numb because you have been in so many battles that
- 24:19Speaker 1: you have battle fatigue. And you're trying to find a
- 24:22Speaker 1: place to just just to perch on. Will you watch
- 24:27Speaker 1: with me for a few hours, Will you stand with me?
- 24:31Speaker 1: Will you be there with me? And there he coming
- 24:34Speaker 1: home from battle with six hundred men, and he's coming
- 24:37Speaker 1: to a place, and there should be dancing, There should
- 24:43Speaker 1: be singing, there should be rejoicing, There should be somebody.
- 24:49Speaker 1: The women normally would run out to meet you, and
- 24:52Speaker 1: they didn't. There is no sound of the laughter of
- 24:55Speaker 1: the children. There is no smell of the breaking of
- 24:58Speaker 1: the of the bakon of bread. He comes home. Instead
- 25:03Speaker 1: of smelling bread, he smells smoke. He smells smoke. Somebody
- 25:12Speaker 1: in here smells smoke. And the smoke is the first
- 25:16Speaker 1: indication that something is wrong. And when he gets back.
- 25:22Speaker 1: When he gets back to the camp, having survived being
- 25:26Speaker 1: in Israel, having survived being with the Philistines, when he
- 25:30Speaker 1: gets back to the camp, he runs into the fact
- 25:33Speaker 1: that while they were gone, the Amalakites have come in
- 25:39Speaker 1: and have abducted all the women and the children and
- 25:43Speaker 1: burned the camp. And they're devastated. And sometimes you just
- 25:51Speaker 1: got to admit I'm devastated. I know you've been taught
- 25:55Speaker 1: positive confession and just name it and claim it and
- 25:59Speaker 1: just quote the word. But sometimes you got to open
- 26:03Speaker 1: up your mother and saying that it is, how sing
- 26:07Speaker 1: of it is, because until you get that pain out,
- 26:11Speaker 1: you can't get that direction in. You got to you
- 26:14Speaker 1: got to open your mouth and holler you gotta. That's
- 26:18Speaker 1: why I hope you all don't get rid of all
- 26:20Speaker 1: the old school stuff, because there was something that the
- 26:23Speaker 1: old church mothers knew. They didn't speak Greek, they didn't
- 26:26Speaker 1: speak Hebrew, they didn't understand so a Heli. But when
- 26:29Speaker 1: the old children went oh ah, there was something that
- 26:36Speaker 1: they released that broke out of their spirit, that opened
- 26:39Speaker 1: them up to what God was about to do next
- 26:41Speaker 1: in their life. If you understand what I'm talking about,
- 26:44Speaker 1: let me hear your shout of the God. You cannot
- 26:53Speaker 1: deny this hurt, this hurt, this hurt, This is painful.
- 27:05Speaker 1: The branch broke, the branch broke, and I don't know
- 27:09Speaker 1: what to do. And then he finds himself in a
- 27:12Speaker 1: yet more perplexing situation. I need to teach this for
- 27:15Speaker 1: a minute. He finds himself in the perplexing situation that
- 27:20Speaker 1: the people that he could count on have stopped weeping
- 27:24Speaker 1: with him and decided, we're going to blame you, and
- 27:32Speaker 1: they turn on him. Hen On Haim is gone, Abigail
- 27:36Speaker 1: is gone, and now his own soldiers have turned on him.
- 27:42Speaker 1: And the Bible says that David encouraged himself in the Lord.
- 27:50Speaker 1: And we often preach this kind of stuff, but we
- 27:52Speaker 1: don't tell people how to encourage yourself in the Lord
- 27:57Speaker 1: because we're so used to needing the whole six hundred
- 28:01Speaker 1: behind us in order to get encouragement that when that
- 28:04Speaker 1: branch breaks, or that relationship changes, or that voice ceases
- 28:08Speaker 1: to be in your ear, you don't know that you've
- 28:11Speaker 1: got the power inside of yourself to encourage yourself. I
- 28:15Speaker 1: know it looks stupid, but sometimes you gotta lay hands
- 28:18Speaker 1: on your own head. You gotta speak to yourself. You
- 28:23Speaker 1: got to encourage yourself. You got to ignore all the
- 28:26Speaker 1: ugly stuff and look for something that's lovely and look
- 28:29Speaker 1: for something that's true, and look for something that's real,
- 28:32Speaker 1: and decide what you're gonna worry about and what you're
- 28:34Speaker 1: not gonna worry about, and make it up in your mind.
- 28:37Speaker 1: I'm gonna trust my wings even if the branch breaks.
- 28:42Speaker 1: That's if I said trust your wings. Maybe trust your wings.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Trust your wings. You're in the season where you gotta
- 28:46Speaker 1: trust your wings. You gotta trust your wind. You gotta
- 28:49Speaker 1: trust that what God gave you is enough to handle
- 28:52Speaker 1: whatever life throws at you. You gotta trust that he
- 28:55Speaker 1: that has began a good work that you shall perform
- 28:58Speaker 1: it until the day of Jesus Christ. You gotta trust
- 29:01Speaker 1: that God is not just Alpha, but Amiga, the beginning
- 29:04Speaker 1: and the end, the first and the last. You gotta
- 29:07Speaker 1: trust that God is with you always. If the branch breaks,
- 29:11Speaker 1: he's with you. If the credit breaks, he's with you.
- 29:14Speaker 1: If the marriage fails, he's with you. If your body
- 29:17Speaker 1: gets sick, he's with you. If you're back in the corner,
- 29:20Speaker 1: he's with you. If the storm is raging, he's with you.
- 29:24Speaker 1: If life is going crazy, he's with you. If your
- 29:27Speaker 1: body's right with pain, he's still with you. If you're
- 29:30Speaker 1: backed up and had to start over, he's with you.
- 29:32Speaker 1: If you make your bed in hell, he's with you.
- 29:35Speaker 1: If you take the wings of the morning and I
- 29:37Speaker 1: said to the othermost parts of the earth, he's.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Still with you.
- 29:41Speaker 1: The reason you've got the kind of power you got
- 29:44Speaker 1: is not just because you read your Bible, but your
- 29:46Speaker 1: Bible read you, and what you read. What you read
- 29:54Speaker 1: in the Bible is going to be walked out in
- 29:56Speaker 1: your life. And you don't get to choose how it's
- 29:59Speaker 1: walked out in life. It just happens the way it happens.
- 30:02Speaker 1: At branches break and David was left to encourage himself.
- 30:18Speaker 1: And this is what fascinates me because sometimes I look
- 30:22Speaker 1: past what fascinates other people, because other people are fascinated
- 30:25Speaker 1: by the fact that David encouraged himself. But I am
- 30:29Speaker 1: fascinated with how David handles conflict. See see, all conflict
- 30:39Speaker 1: is not bad. It seems like we're extremists either. If
- 30:45Speaker 1: you go on social media, you just see all kinds
- 30:47Speaker 1: of conflicts, things that people would never say to you.
- 30:50Speaker 1: To your face. They will whip out and lash out,
- 30:52Speaker 1: and you get wounded by somebody that's sleeping up under
- 30:57Speaker 1: a bridge, and you end up losing your house fighting
- 31:00Speaker 1: with somebody because everybody looks important when you make your
- 31:08Speaker 1: own page. I've never seen anybody yet make a page
- 31:14Speaker 1: and post the worst part of themselves on the page.
- 31:17Speaker 1: They all look important, they all look like journalists, they
- 31:19Speaker 1: all look like and they talk like they know you
- 31:22Speaker 1: even though they never met you. And if you're not careful,
- 31:27Speaker 1: you'll mishandle conflict in the workplace. You do not want
- 31:31Speaker 1: to be surrounded by people who just say yes. You
- 31:36Speaker 1: need some people in your life that will challenge your
- 31:39Speaker 1: ideas and reshape your thinking. All conflict is not bad,
- 31:44Speaker 1: but we're living in a conflict rout. Either we're extremely
- 31:48Speaker 1: full of conflict to the degree that we don't have
- 31:51Speaker 1: constructive conflict. We just have a life of voiding destructive conflict.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Or we have people who just say yes to everything,
- 32:01Speaker 1: and we're not growing because we have not created an
- 32:04Speaker 1: atmosphere that allows our ideas to be challenged, because we
- 32:08Speaker 1: are only comfortable when we are in control. David has
- 32:14Speaker 1: the conflict because his soldiers, his troops, his boys. His
- 32:22Speaker 1: camp is in flame and his troops are one to
- 32:28Speaker 1: stone him. He's now had to encourage himself first in
- 32:33Speaker 1: the Lord. And once he encourages himself, he goes to
- 32:37Speaker 1: abby Athur to ask him get Thumim and Urim, which
- 32:42Speaker 1: were in the high priest's vest, and whenever there was
- 32:45Speaker 1: a decision to be made, these prophetic stones were what
- 32:49Speaker 1: was used. That's why he said, bring me the ephod
- 32:51Speaker 1: so that I can find out is God for me?
- 32:57Speaker 2: Is God with me?
- 32:59Speaker 1: Because I don't mind. I'm the branch breaking as long
- 33:02Speaker 1: as I still got my wings. But if I lose
- 33:05Speaker 1: my wings, I'll lose my mind. If I lose my wings,
- 33:10Speaker 1: I'll lose my peace. If I lose my wings, I
- 33:13Speaker 1: can't make a great decision. Oh godse That's why David said,
- 33:17Speaker 1: take whatever you want to take from me, but whatever
- 33:19Speaker 1: you do, don't take your spirit away from me, because
- 33:22Speaker 1: I need your spirit. Without your spirit, I'm a fool
- 33:26Speaker 1: without your spirit. I'm a hot head without your spirit.
- 33:30Speaker 1: I'll be antagonistic without your spirit. I'll fail you in
- 33:34Speaker 1: a minute. I need your spirit. I'm not just raising
- 33:36Speaker 1: my hands to make woman evolve look good I'm chasing
- 33:40Speaker 1: the Holy ghost. I need a fresh touch of God's
- 33:43Speaker 1: spirit in my life. Somebody take about fifteen seconds and
- 33:47Speaker 1: give God crazy praise. I'm chasing him down. I don't
- 33:51Speaker 1: want to be in a battle that you don't intend
- 33:53Speaker 1: for me to be in. I don't want to waste
- 33:55Speaker 1: time arguing with sand Vialid and Tobiah while the Jerusalem
- 34:01Speaker 1: lay in ruin. I don't want to mistake what victory
- 34:04Speaker 1: looks like in my life. Victory don't look like you.
- 34:07Speaker 1: It don't look like you. It don't look like you.
- 34:09Speaker 1: It don't look like you. It don't look like you.
- 34:11Speaker 1: So I'm through imitating people. I'm through pretending to be
- 34:14Speaker 1: somebody else. I need to find out what victory looks
- 34:17Speaker 1: like on me. It's got to be tailored to fit me.
- 34:20Speaker 1: It's got to be tailored to fit my gifts. It's
- 34:23Speaker 1: got to be tailored to fit my annoritary And if
- 34:25Speaker 1: I have to lay on my face on the altar
- 34:28Speaker 1: and call on God, if I have to kick my legs,
- 34:32Speaker 1: if I have to shake my hand, if I have
- 34:35Speaker 1: to spin around in a circle, if I have to
- 34:37Speaker 1: jump up in the service and folks can't see the preacher.
- 34:41Speaker 1: I got to get what victory looks like for me.
- 34:44Speaker 1: I came too far, I went through too much. I
- 34:48Speaker 1: had too many dark days to get here and to
- 34:52Speaker 1: have a form of garden in this denying the power
- 34:55Speaker 1: there are. I need a touch from God, and I
- 34:58Speaker 1: need it before I get on the plane. I need
- 35:00Speaker 1: it before I get in the car. I need it
- 35:02Speaker 1: before I take off in the air. I need it
- 35:04Speaker 1: before we drive back. I need it. I need it.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I need it. I need it. That's why I came
- 35:09Speaker 1: to urch of this Sunday. I can get in all
- 35:11Speaker 1: that word. I still need it some more because I
- 35:13Speaker 1: gotta make sure that is the brands breaks. I can
- 35:28Speaker 1: trust my wings. I can trust my wings. I can
- 35:31Speaker 1: trust my wings. I can trust my wings. I can
- 35:34Speaker 1: trust my wings. I can trust my wings. I can
- 35:37Speaker 1: trust my wings. See, God is getting ready to do
- 35:39Speaker 1: something so mighty in your life that you need this
- 35:42Speaker 1: word and then touch six people and say, trust your wings,
- 35:45Speaker 1: trust your wings, trust, trust, trust your trust your wings,
- 35:50Speaker 1: trust your wings. Trust your wings. When you can't tell
- 35:53Speaker 1: whether it's fring or winter, trust your wings throw a
- 35:57Speaker 1: whole shutter tamp against you. Your heart can't If you
- 36:00Speaker 1: just trust your wings. I don't know who I'm preaching to,
- 36:04Speaker 1: but I feel like I'm preaching that somebody. You might
- 36:06Speaker 1: be streaming outline, you might be in the overflow, but
- 36:10Speaker 1: God is going to overflow in the overflow until the
- 36:13Speaker 1: annoyty falls where you are, because when God gets you
- 36:16Speaker 1: out of this place, He's getting ready to take you
- 36:19Speaker 1: into a brand new dimension, into a brand new stage,
- 36:23Speaker 1: into a brand new place in God. And if you
- 36:25Speaker 1: can't trust your friends, trust your wings. If you can't
- 36:29Speaker 1: trust your family, trust your wings. If you can't trust
- 36:33Speaker 1: your faculty, trust your wings. If you can't trust your board,
- 36:37Speaker 1: trust your wings. I need thirty seconds of crazy holy
- 36:42Speaker 1: ghost praise in this place. Paul says it this way.
- 37:04Speaker 1: He said, I've learned how to abase and to abound.
- 37:11Speaker 1: I know how to experience abundance, and I know how
- 37:14Speaker 1: to survive lack. I know how to abase, I know
- 37:17Speaker 1: how to abound everywhere and in all things. I am instructed.
- 37:22Speaker 1: I am instructed both to be full and I am
- 37:27Speaker 1: instructed to be hungry. I am instructed both to abound
- 37:31Speaker 1: and I am instructed to suffer need. Because God doesn't
- 37:36Speaker 1: want me to think that the branch.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Is my sustenance.
- 37:41Speaker 1: My power is not in my branch, It's in my wings.
- 37:46Speaker 1: And so God keeps bouncing me from situation to situation,
- 37:50Speaker 1: the situation to the situation, so I can see through
- 37:53Speaker 1: they work in this situation? Do they work in this situation?
- 37:56Speaker 1: Doesn't work in that situation? Glory to God. The only
- 37:59Speaker 1: thing that the main stable is God. And he goes
- 38:02Speaker 1: on to say give me. The next verse, he goes
- 38:04Speaker 1: on this head, I can do all things through Christ,
- 38:08Speaker 1: which strengthened to me. I know how to deal with
- 38:11Speaker 1: anything and any situation, because as long as I got
- 38:16Speaker 1: my wings, I can survive anything. Trust your wings. I
- 38:28Speaker 1: am instructed to a base and a bound. I am
- 38:34Speaker 1: instructed to be full, and I am instructed to be hungry.
- 38:40Speaker 1: I am instructed to fight the Philistines or hide amongst
- 38:46Speaker 1: the Philistines. I am instructed how to win the battle,
- 38:51Speaker 1: and I am instructed how to lose a battle. I
- 38:55Speaker 1: have learned whatever state I'm in therewith to be content.
- 39:03Speaker 1: How can I be content and hungry? I can tell
- 39:10Speaker 1: you how I can do it. I have meat to
- 39:12Speaker 1: eat that you know not of. While my outward man
- 39:16Speaker 1: is perishing, my inward man is being renewed. In other words,
- 39:20Speaker 1: don't count me out. I'm trying to tell you got wings.
- 39:35Speaker 1: I'm trying to tell you you are enough. I'm trying
- 39:38Speaker 1: to tell you if you encourage yourself and if you
- 39:42Speaker 1: start seeking God, that God will get you ready for
- 39:45Speaker 1: what He's about to do in your life. But I
- 39:49Speaker 1: haven't hit my points yet. Here's my point. Once he
- 39:56Speaker 1: found out that God said, if you pursue the Amalekites,
- 40:02Speaker 1: you not only will you overtake them, you will recover
- 40:06Speaker 1: all y'all?
- 40:10Speaker 2: Can hear you?
- 40:12Speaker 1: Not most of it, not half of it, not all
- 40:16Speaker 1: of it? Let me in the balcony. Did you hear
- 40:20Speaker 1: what I said? All of it? And everything you lost,
- 40:22Speaker 1: everything you've cried about, everything you wept about everything you've
- 40:26Speaker 1: been in a season of depression about. God said, if
- 40:29Speaker 1: you listen to what I'm saying, You're gonna get.
- 40:31Speaker 2: It all back.
- 40:32Speaker 1: I don't know who this word is for, but you
- 40:34Speaker 1: could not leave Dallas until you get this word. You're
- 40:38Speaker 1: gonna get it all back. For every night you cried,
- 40:41Speaker 1: for every night you suffered, for every moment you did
- 40:44Speaker 1: with hout, You're gonna get it all back. So this
- 40:55Speaker 1: is what Drew me to this text yet again, is
- 40:59Speaker 1: that when he gets instructions from the Lord, he then
- 41:04Speaker 1: takes his six hundred men to go to pursue the Amalekites.
- 41:11Speaker 1: You remember that God said he hated Amelek. God hated
- 41:15Speaker 1: Amelek because the Amalekites had a system of warfare that
- 41:19Speaker 1: they made pray out of the week. So they waited
- 41:24Speaker 1: till all the men were gone and abducted all the
- 41:27Speaker 1: women and children. That was their style. They were known
- 41:30Speaker 1: for that. God said, I hate Amelek. Now David is
- 41:33Speaker 1: about to pursue the Amalekites.
- 41:36Speaker 2: But that's not what got me.
- 41:37Speaker 1: What got me is he took the six hundred men
- 41:41Speaker 1: with him who were about to stone him. In other words,
- 41:54Speaker 1: he didn't get in his feelings at the expense of
- 42:03Speaker 1: the word God gave him. You may have to release
- 42:07Speaker 1: somebody that hurts you in one chapter. God may turn
- 42:12Speaker 1: around and use him again in another. The Bible say
- 42:15Speaker 1: that God will make your enemies your footstools. Y'all, don't
- 42:18Speaker 1: hear what I'm saying. And so sometimes you get rid
- 42:22Speaker 1: of people prematurely because God wants to use him to
- 42:26Speaker 1: take you to the next level. But you got to
- 42:28Speaker 1: get over your grief and your anger and your hostility,
- 42:31Speaker 1: because just because you're through with him doesn't mean God
- 42:35Speaker 1: is through with him. Somebody jump up in the Hall
- 42:43Speaker 1: of God, is not through with me. He's not through
- 42:52Speaker 1: with me. He's not through with me. He's not through
- 42:56Speaker 1: with me. And then I thought, what is it about
- 42:59Speaker 1: this David using these six hundred men. So I began
- 43:04Speaker 1: to investigate. He had trained them, he had prepared them,
- 43:10Speaker 1: he had influenced them, he had affected them. And when
- 43:14Speaker 1: push comes to shove, David always uses proven weapons. You
- 43:25Speaker 1: remember when he was about to fight Goliath and Saul
- 43:28Speaker 1: offered him his armor.
- 43:29Speaker 2: And Saul's armor was.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Bright and it was shiny, and it was sharp, and
- 43:34Speaker 1: it was strong, and it looked good. But when he
- 43:37Speaker 1: got ready to fight, he said, I know my sleek
- 43:40Speaker 1: shot is raggedy. I know it doesn't look like much,
- 43:43Speaker 1: but I have proven it. I used it against the Lion.
- 43:46Speaker 1: I used it.
- 43:47Speaker 2: It just a bear.
- 43:48Speaker 1: Don't go to battle with stuff that's not proven. If
- 43:51Speaker 1: you have to make up, if you have to cry up,
- 43:53Speaker 1: if you have to come up, whatever you gotta do,
- 43:56Speaker 1: God says, I'm going to use and I knit. It
- 44:09Speaker 1: would have been tough for me. It would have been
- 44:12Speaker 1: tough for me to go into battle with somebody who
- 44:16Speaker 1: was gonna stole me. It would have been tough for me.
- 44:22Speaker 1: But when you get a word from God, the word
- 44:25Speaker 1: becomes more important than your feelings. And I'm almost where
- 44:33Speaker 1: I need to be. But you're about to pursue everything
- 44:40Speaker 1: you lost. You're going to reclaim everything the enemy tried
- 44:49Speaker 1: to take away from you. You're about to step into
- 44:53Speaker 1: a dominion that requires that you go outside of your camp,
- 44:57Speaker 1: outside of your arena, outside of your surp and you
- 45:00Speaker 1: can't worry about their disapproval. You gotta be willing to
- 45:03Speaker 1: step into your destiny and your purpose, and you gotta
- 45:07Speaker 1: be willing to be comfortable with being uncomfortable.
