- 1:48Speaker 1: let's jump right into a synopsis of Mystery one on
- 1:51Speaker 1: one Dead Talk.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Sure Amy heads to Seattle to give a Ted Talk
- 1:55Speaker 2: style lecture. When a tech genius dies, Amy suspects. When
- 2:01Speaker 2: local cops shut her out, Travis joins forces with Amy
- 2:04Speaker 2: to figure out who done it.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Mistery one oh one Dead Talk was directed by Winifred Jong.
- 2:09Speaker 1: She's an award winning filmmaker with twenty six directing credits.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Dead Talk was one of her earliest credited projects, but
- 2:15Speaker 1: since twenty nineteen has gone into direct episodes from series
- 2:19Speaker 1: like Private Eyes, Heartland, Firefly, Lane, and most recently Law
- 2:24Speaker 1: and Order Toronto Criminal Intent. Side note. I started watching
- 2:28Speaker 1: Private Eyes, did you?
- 2:31Speaker 2: It gives me all the Jason Priestley, Brandon Walsh vibes
- 2:35Speaker 2: that I've been missing for years and years and years.
- 2:37Speaker 1: My husband actually was like, oh, maybe we should start
- 2:39Speaker 1: watching that, so perhaps I don't hate it, okay, And
- 2:43Speaker 1: they're rebooting it. They're not rebooting it, They're bringing it back.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I know. I'm excited. Yeah, I'm excited. I love Jason Priestley.
- 2:52Speaker 2: This installment of Mystery one O one was written by
- 2:55Speaker 2: John Christian Plummer and Jim Biederman. Joe Wagner, Christopher Pla,
- 3:00Speaker 2: Robin Thomas, Preston, Vanderslice, Sarah Dugdale, and Amanda.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Wong All return.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Teagan Moss plays Lieutenant Rachel Knox. Teagan has eighty five
- 3:10Speaker 2: acting credits and was last seen on Hallmark in Love
- 3:13Speaker 2: and Glacier National, a National Park romance for twenty twenty three.
- 3:18Speaker 1: That was a real short lived collection franchise. Yea different
- 3:21Speaker 1: Yeah Yeah. Matthew James Dowden plays Amy's ex, Tim Bishop.
- 3:25Speaker 1: You might recognize him as Pastor McGregor from The Chicken Sisters.
- 3:29Speaker 1: He also co starred in Hallmark's Dream Moms and The
- 3:32Speaker 1: Holiday Sitter.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Lachlan Monroe plays Detective Denny Roma With two hundred and
- 3:38Speaker 2: thirty eight acting credits and twelve upcoming projects. Lachlan has
- 3:45Speaker 2: been in almost everything. We last saw him on Hallmark
- 3:48Speaker 2: as Richard in the Curious Caterer series.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Mark Chrisco plays Dead tech guy Mitchell McHale. Dead Talk
- 3:55Speaker 1: was the last Hallmark project for Mark. He has gone
- 3:58Speaker 1: on to appear in DC's Legends of Tomorrow, roh Fire
- 4:00Speaker 1: Country and Billy the Kid. Garrett Black plays suspect Billy Poole.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Garrett might look familiar to Hallmark fan says he's been
- 4:07Speaker 1: in quite a bit for the network, including most recently
- 4:10Speaker 1: Deck the Halls on Cherry Lane, Curious Caterer, Forbidden Fruit,
- 4:14Speaker 1: and tip Line Mysteries Dial One for Murder. Donna Benedicto
- 4:18Speaker 1: plays wife Larissa McHale. Donna has appeared in other Hallmark
- 4:21Speaker 1: movies like Jingle Bell Bride, Sweet Carolina, and The Professional Bridesmaid.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Benjamin Wilkinson plays dirty lawyer Ray Sweeney. Benjamin most recently
- 4:31Speaker 2: appeared as Bernhardt Montague and Winn Calls the Heart.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Well, that's quite a name. Catherine low Hadquist plays new
- 4:38Speaker 1: lawyer Vicky Lynne with one hundred and fifty nine acting credits.
- 4:41Speaker 1: We last saw Catherine in the Lacey Shabert Brennan Elliott
- 4:45Speaker 1: Joint his and hers.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Mystery one O one Dead Talk premiered on Hallmark Movies
- 4:50Speaker 2: and Mysteries on September twenty second, twenty nineteen.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Let's take a quick break and we're gonna come right
- 4:56Speaker 1: back with our first impression. Hey, Wendy, what was your
- 5:07Speaker 1: first impression of Mystery one on one dead Talk? I
- 5:11Speaker 1: call this one.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Travis eats humble Pie and Amy out detectives him.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Oh. My first impression is I don't want to review
- 5:22Speaker 1: this series anymore because I'd rather just sit back, relax
- 5:28Speaker 1: and enjoy the show. Oh, why tell me more? Someone
- 5:34Speaker 1: told us what these people call themselves? These people? Oh
- 5:38Speaker 1: did they?
- 5:39Speaker 2: Yeah? Trying to remember, Like, what the heck you mean?
- 5:42Speaker 2: The fans of the show.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're one of one ers and Palaha nation.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Okay, so one A Wonders is the cutest thing I've
- 5:50Speaker 2: ever heard.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Consider me a one on oneer because I love this series,
- 5:56Speaker 1: this franchise. I feel like the movies get better with time.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I'm last week I was like this was the best
- 6:02Speaker 1: one yet, and now I'm like, this was the best
- 6:04Speaker 1: one yet. When Palaja walks on screen for the first time,
- 6:09Speaker 1: Joe Wagner's sitting in that coffee shop and he walks in.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I was so happy to see him, like an old
- 6:14Speaker 1: friend had just joined the chat, like I was there
- 6:18Speaker 1: with them. I didn't want to like sit and take notes.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I wanted to put my phone away. I didn't want
- 6:23Speaker 1: to have to think about it. I just wanted to
- 6:25Speaker 1: enjoy it. I'm all in.
- 6:27Speaker 2: I agree.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I do have a thought though.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Okay, isn't it hard to watch these knowing it's going
- 6:37Speaker 2: to come to a screaming halt?
- 6:39Speaker 1: Oh gosh, it's in my wishes? Okay, all right, Well,
- 6:43Speaker 1: I'm like before than halfway through.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I know, I know, I know, and I feel like
- 6:50Speaker 2: this is a franchise. I mean, honestly, I don't know
- 6:53Speaker 2: what comes in the next three movies, but I feel
- 6:56Speaker 2: like this could be a franchise still happening in twenty
- 6:59Speaker 2: twenty five.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Yes, it doesn't hit. Look, this is only twenty nineteen.
- 7:03Speaker 1: It's six years old. It's not old. But it doesn't
- 7:06Speaker 1: feel dated. It doesn't. There's nothing about it that I'm
- 7:08Speaker 1: like didn't as well. It feels fresh and current. And
- 7:14Speaker 1: the cinematography on this was really beautiful to me. All
- 7:19Speaker 1: of the scenes. I was like, this is so nice.
- 7:21Speaker 1: To watch. Yeah, it just makes me kind of sad.
- 7:25Speaker 1: I know, I know, I know. What did you like
- 7:28Speaker 1: about this installment?
- 7:30Speaker 2: Well, this particular movie I thought was really sharp, It
- 7:34Speaker 2: was really layered, and like you said, it was just
- 7:37Speaker 2: fun to watch. I thought the writing was really smart.
- 7:42Speaker 2: It gave me a lot of I've complained about this
- 7:45Speaker 2: in the past, like too many, too many suspects, you're
- 7:48Speaker 2: trying to throw me off the scent, right, But this
- 7:51Speaker 2: one I thought, all right, we have several viable suspects
- 7:56Speaker 2: and motives that really had to be guessing until the end.
- 7:59Speaker 2: And I gotta say I was kind of surprise. I
- 8:02Speaker 2: didn't see Lieutenant Knox being the bad guy.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Oh yeah, had you? I started to suspect her toward
- 8:10Speaker 1: the end, I heard to suspect both cops the Denny
- 8:14Speaker 1: Roma Lachlan Monroe character, But that felt too obvious to me,
- 8:19Speaker 1: and I felt like Detective Knox was the only one
- 8:22Speaker 1: we weren't excuse me, Lieutenant Lieutenant Yes, I felt like
- 8:29Speaker 1: she was the only one we weren't looking closely enough.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I didn't understand motivation. And then I remembered, as I
- 8:34Speaker 1: was thinking about it, there was something with her father
- 8:36Speaker 1: that was unfinished, and I didn't know, but I thought
- 8:39Speaker 1: there was something there. I really loved this movie as well.
- 8:42Speaker 1: One thing I liked is the change of scenery because
- 8:46Speaker 1: I think at some point, when we just do a
- 8:48Speaker 1: string of murders in the same location, we have to
- 8:51Speaker 1: suspend our disbelief too much. And so the change of
- 8:55Speaker 1: location is nice for that, because we've got like an
- 8:58Speaker 1: off site murder that again they just happen to be
- 9:01Speaker 1: present for, but at least it's not a campus adjacent murder.
- 9:04Speaker 1: And I did look ahead to the synopsis for the
- 9:08Speaker 1: next movie, and it is a cold case. Oh so
- 9:12Speaker 1: I think these two combinations kind of help us. I
- 9:16Speaker 1: think they're working within the constraints of these mystery murder
- 9:21Speaker 1: franchises where we got to continue, you have a murder
- 9:23Speaker 1: every week, but how do we do it in a
- 9:24Speaker 1: way that's not just like, well, now the entire town's dead.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Yeah exactly. But that was great, well done. I agree
- 9:33Speaker 2: changing up this setting worked for me too. It's in
- 9:35Speaker 2: my likes as well. I also want to add that
- 9:39Speaker 2: I like that this one wasn't as spooky.
- 9:43Speaker 1: As some of the other earlier movies. It's less personal.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Yeah, that's interesting. That's an interesting take. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yah, yeah,
- 9:52Speaker 2: I agree, Yeah, because then you can they can work
- 9:57Speaker 2: on discovery or like you know, figuring out who did
- 10:00Speaker 2: it without having like a personal.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Attachment to it. Yeah. Amy's dad isn't a suspect, right,
- 10:07Speaker 1: it's not a student of hers that's involved. They're fully
- 10:10Speaker 1: objective and on the outside, which I thought was great.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Same, same, same same. I said it in my first impression.
- 10:18Speaker 2: But I did love how Travis gets a little taste
- 10:20Speaker 2: of his own medicine in this movie. The whole shift
- 10:25Speaker 2: shifting dynamic between Amy and Travis matters here. I think
- 10:31Speaker 2: he is the one that's being told to stay away
- 10:33Speaker 2: from the investigation, and now he finally gets to see
- 10:38Speaker 2: like what it feels like for Amy to be sidelined,
- 10:40Speaker 2: Like he understands her better. You know that it means
- 10:45Speaker 2: more than what we're just taking that face value here.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that's interesting when you were talking about the shift
- 10:53Speaker 1: kind of in home Turf a little bit. I think
- 10:57Speaker 1: I started thinking only just now when you said that, yes,
- 11:00Speaker 1: Travis's on the outside as a detective, but also he's
- 11:02Speaker 1: a little bit on the outside in the Travis and
- 11:05Speaker 1: Amy dynamic where she's the one kind of leading the
- 11:07Speaker 1: charge because she's here to give her teachable talk, and
- 11:13Speaker 1: so he's the observer. And while he obviously brings like
- 11:16Speaker 1: the detective expertise in every other movie as the detective,
- 11:22Speaker 1: he kind of leads the charge. And because she's the
- 11:26Speaker 1: lead story here, I think it turns our dynamic on
- 11:29Speaker 1: their head a little bit more in that regard too
- 11:32Speaker 1: well for me.
- 11:32Speaker 2: I mean, I I think Amy, Okay, this is not
- 11:35Speaker 2: a to dog on Travis the character here, because I
- 11:38Speaker 2: believe he's also a smart, good detective. But I think
- 11:41Speaker 2: Amy's clearly the brains. Yeah, and it doesn't there's it's
- 11:46Speaker 2: not meant to make them one less than the other.
- 11:50Speaker 2: I think they work so well together, and that is
- 11:57Speaker 2: fun to watch where it's not just like where we
- 12:00Speaker 2: having Curious Cater where Andrew Walker is trying to like
- 12:04Speaker 2: clue Goldie in on police work.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Like there's like.
- 12:07Speaker 2: A same level of expertise but from different viewpoints, which,
- 12:15Speaker 2: as a viewer of the movie, is fun to watch
- 12:18Speaker 2: come together totally.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I thought this movie did a nice job building tension.
- 12:24Speaker 1: We have the tension between Bishop and Travis, which was
- 12:28Speaker 1: very fun and humorous. Trevor when he calls Travis Trevor
- 12:37Speaker 1: and he's like, I don't know why I do that
- 12:38Speaker 1: and plajagos a few ideas. I loved it is such
- 12:42Speaker 1: a great throwaway line. Loved it so much. And then
- 12:46Speaker 1: we also get tension between Knox and Amy and Travis,
- 12:50Speaker 1: and I liked.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I liked that it's not oh my gosh, it's not spooky,
- 12:54Speaker 2: but I was sorry.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I didn't mean to cut. But like, even like jealousy tension.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Did you catch that, like when he sees her and
- 13:02Speaker 2: he gives her a big hug and they show Amy
- 13:04Speaker 2: like what the Like, who's this chick?
- 13:07Speaker 1: You know? Like, I just thought it was very good,
- 13:12Speaker 1: very well done. I agree.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I kind of really loved it that Amy has this
- 13:16Speaker 2: secret hobby, like she understands like this Dungeons and Dragons game, Yes,
- 13:20Speaker 2: it is playing, yes, And for me gives her character
- 13:24Speaker 2: a new layer, because we don't really know a lot
- 13:27Speaker 2: about Amy other than she's an English teacher who has
- 13:31Speaker 2: a specialty in crime fiction and she's got this ex
- 13:34Speaker 2: boyfriend and a dead mom. Other than that, like, we
- 13:36Speaker 2: really don't know anything about her, right, so it was
- 13:40Speaker 2: kind of fun to like peel back this layer of like, oh,
- 13:43Speaker 2: you know, she's probably a critical thinker. Obviously we know that, right,
- 13:47Speaker 2: But yes, it would fall in line that she would
- 13:51Speaker 2: play a game like this because the strategy. What kind
- 13:53Speaker 2: of brain she has? Yeah, exactly. Lastly, for me, another
- 13:57Speaker 2: thing I really liked, and I mentioned this in an
- 14:00Speaker 2: earlier review. I love how they keep weaving literary references
- 14:04Speaker 2: into these movies. They talk about books I've never heard
- 14:09Speaker 2: of before, which are real books, and I'm like, that's
- 14:12Speaker 2: super cool, Like do I want to look into that.
- 14:15Speaker 2: The other part of it is I I love that
- 14:18Speaker 2: we see Graham, the character of Graham, and he's got
- 14:20Speaker 2: like a new book, right, And I wish I wish
- 14:24Speaker 2: there could be a spinoff series where we get have
- 14:27Speaker 2: I talked about this before, like a spinoff into Graham's novels.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, either where we get the Atticus Pinch.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Yes, something like that.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I would love. I would love. I would absolutely watch that. Yeah,
- 14:41Speaker 1: that would be great. Well, I'm ready to talk wishes. Okay,
- 14:45Speaker 1: My wishes all center around things that I find to
- 14:48Speaker 1: be missing from this movie. Oh me too, go ahead,
- 14:51Speaker 1: small wish before I get to my big wish. Bud
- 14:54Speaker 1: Holly and Clara Hardley in the movie. They just show
- 14:56Speaker 1: up at the end. I'm like, come on, I needed that.
- 14:59Speaker 1: I get it, But I almost was like, why have
- 15:02Speaker 1: them show up at the I mean, I guess they're
- 15:03Speaker 1: there for her talk, but I would have loved to
- 15:06Speaker 1: see them like weave them in like on a on
- 15:08Speaker 1: a FaceTime or something.
- 15:11Speaker 2: That would have been good. That would have been good. Yeah.
- 15:14Speaker 2: I thought the same thing too, because I was like, well,
- 15:16Speaker 2: I'm missing like a whole fraction of this cast, right,
- 15:21Speaker 2: but it wouldn't make sense that they were out there
- 15:23Speaker 2: too for the top.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, I agree, But like I think this
- 15:26Speaker 1: is Sarah Dugdale's last mystery one on one movie, So
- 15:30Speaker 1: I'm a little sad. My big even have a line
- 15:33Speaker 1: in this movie congratulations. Nice joke. Yeah exactly. Yeah. My
- 15:38Speaker 1: big wish is there's not enough forward motion with Amy
- 15:42Speaker 1: and Travis, and to go back to your aren't you
- 15:45Speaker 1: nervous about it ending? I'm very nervous about it ending
- 15:49Speaker 1: without without enough development in this relationship. I do think
- 15:53Speaker 1: someone messaged us. I don't know if I hallucinated that
- 15:56Speaker 1: and said that they do kiss before movie seven? Where
- 16:00Speaker 1: you saw that? Where did I tell you where I
- 16:01Speaker 1: saw that? Because we have on our Instagram the Girl's
- 16:05Speaker 1: Gone Hallmark hang Out, and I asked in there, I said,
- 16:09Speaker 1: I need somebody to tell me that they are going
- 16:12Speaker 1: to kiss before movie seven, before I crash out of
- 16:15Speaker 1: a human watching this movie, and somebody to say it
- 16:19Speaker 1: does happen.
- 16:20Speaker 2: I was like, I don't need to know the details
- 16:22Speaker 2: of when. I just need to know that it happens
- 16:24Speaker 2: before movie seven.
- 16:26Speaker 1: But my concern is I really want to see I
- 16:28Speaker 1: know movie seven ends on the cliffhanger. I know the
- 16:30Speaker 1: fate of these two is hanging in the balance, but
- 16:33Speaker 1: I just want the satisfaction of seeing them kind of
- 16:36Speaker 1: settling into a relationship. I don't just want the kiss
- 16:40Speaker 1: and then they're figuring, like I just I want to
- 16:42Speaker 1: see them actually experiencing each other as a couple, even
- 16:47Speaker 1: if they're not fully fleshed out, like I want, not
- 16:50Speaker 1: just the teasing. We do get a lot of the
- 16:51Speaker 1: teasing like Hey, you want to grab dinner? No I can't,
- 16:54Speaker 1: Oh yes I can, No, you got to go work,
- 16:55Speaker 1: And there's a little bit of that back and forth,
- 16:57Speaker 1: but there's not enough forward we we can tell in
- 17:00Speaker 1: this movie they're both into each other.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Yeah, Okay, let me stop you there. One, I don't
- 17:05Speaker 2: think we're gonna get that. I think no, I don't
- 17:08Speaker 2: we're going to get that. Two. Yes, there's a lot
- 17:11Speaker 2: of we're getting hints of it there, the way they're
- 17:14Speaker 2: embracing each other after her talk, I was like, just kiss.
- 17:18Speaker 2: I was like screaming at my TV yesterday. Also the
- 17:21Speaker 2: scene you just mentioned about, like I could go to dinner,
- 17:24Speaker 2: Oh no, I can't. Like I put myself in this
- 17:27Speaker 2: and in the role of Amy while watching that scene,
- 17:30Speaker 2: and when you have like a man like saying like,
- 17:35Speaker 2: oh no, you need to go do your thing and
- 17:37Speaker 2: like turns around and walk away, like can you leave
- 17:39Speaker 2: me wanting any more? Holy?
- 17:42Speaker 1: Hell? Right, so good.
- 17:45Speaker 2: I don't think we're gonna get to see them as
- 17:47Speaker 2: like a full couple before the end of the series,
- 17:51Speaker 2: And I hate it.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I know we're four movies in and they're still like
- 17:56Speaker 1: flirting around. I feel like maybe movie six we get
- 17:59Speaker 1: a kiss, and maybe movie seven they're starting to explore
- 18:01Speaker 1: what that means, and then we get whatever this weird
- 18:03Speaker 1: cliffhanger is. I'm mad at every single person who said
- 18:08Speaker 1: we needed to watch this. I could have lived the
- 18:12Speaker 1: rest of my life not having seen like the entire series,
- 18:16Speaker 1: because now I'm just gonna be mad like everybody else.
- 18:19Speaker 1: I know, I understand why they're so mad.
- 18:23Speaker 2: You talked about some of my wishes. One that we
- 18:26Speaker 2: didn't touch on. There was not enough Graham him had
- 18:31Speaker 2: to beginning. We've got him a little bit at the end.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Why weren't they like using him to like riff off
- 18:36Speaker 2: of you know? Uh huh, I need more Graham. I
- 18:40Speaker 2: love Graham.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I love Graham too. Is that it? That's it for
- 18:46Speaker 1: my wishes?
- 18:47Speaker 2: Let's talk?
- 18:48Speaker 1: Did you see that?
- 18:49Speaker 2: I have a few?
- 18:50Speaker 1: Okay, let's hear him one.
- 18:53Speaker 2: I just thought this was funny. There was all this
- 18:55Speaker 2: build up talking about this cool electric car that costs
- 18:58Speaker 2: a bazillion dollars and it's a Tesla, And like in
- 19:02Speaker 2: twenty nineteen, maybe that was still kind of impressive, but
- 19:05Speaker 2: in twenty twenty five, like every second car on the
- 19:07Speaker 2: road is a Tesla, at least here in California.
- 19:10Speaker 1: In Orange County, especially right right every white Tesla too.
- 19:15Speaker 1: By the way, don't I tell you. I was in
- 19:18Speaker 1: Montana earlier this year and like two days into the
- 19:21Speaker 1: trip and we passed the Tesla and I was like,
- 19:23Speaker 1: have you seen any other tesla since we've been here,
- 19:25Speaker 1: and my kid was like, no, that's weird. It totally
- 19:27Speaker 1: stood out. It's definitely a California thing, but it's it
- 19:32Speaker 1: was I did laugh too when that tesla was cruising
- 19:34Speaker 1: by that fancy car. Probably he's got this cool electric car,
- 19:39Speaker 1: and I was like, this isn't twenty fifteen. I don't know.
- 19:42Speaker 1: It just was funny. Uh huh.
- 19:44Speaker 2: We got a running scene with Amy and she's wearing
- 19:46Speaker 2: flats this time around. This running scene is when they're
- 19:50Speaker 2: running through like the backwoods or wherever after that kid,
- 19:54Speaker 2: and I love that she tackles the kid.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Yeah, that was really funny. I'm actually glad. I was
- 19:58Speaker 1: watching it and I was like, is Travis going to
- 20:00Speaker 1: tackle this poor kid? I think it was a smart
- 20:02Speaker 1: move to have Amy do it. Yeah, it made me laugh.
- 20:08Speaker 2: This is not officially in my notes, but Amy's wearing
- 20:10Speaker 2: this blue dress when they they're like at the party
- 20:14Speaker 2: or whatever. It's like kind of asymmetrical up top. It's
- 20:16Speaker 2: in the movie poster or too, she's wearing it. I
- 20:18Speaker 2: think it's a dress. It might be pants, but I
- 20:20Speaker 2: think it's a dress.
- 20:21Speaker 1: So cute. Her clothes are real cute. She does she
- 20:25Speaker 1: does are you talking about? No, not the dress she
- 20:29Speaker 1: wears like kind of formally has like an interesting neckline. Yeah,
- 20:34Speaker 1: that's the one. I have one more.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Did you see that?
- 20:37Speaker 1: Okay?
- 20:38Speaker 2: They're just little little scenes throughout the movie. We already
- 20:43Speaker 2: talked about one, the way that Amy reacts to Burke
- 20:47Speaker 2: when he gives a hug to Lieutenant Knocks. Burke's chat
- 20:52Speaker 2: with Graham about going to go see Amy's talk in Seattle,
- 20:56Speaker 2: like their whole exchange outside, like the little coffee place.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I just loved it so much, Like well, and how
- 21:02Speaker 1: he wants Travis to come because he hates her other boyfriend.
- 21:06Speaker 1: I got days off, I got you gotta use it
- 21:09Speaker 1: or lose it. I just laughed.
- 21:12Speaker 2: I laughed.
- 21:13Speaker 1: I loved it.
- 21:13Speaker 2: And then I just like, you know, Travis is feeling
- 21:18Speaker 2: jealous about Amy's ex kind of being around, you know,
- 21:21Speaker 2: asking Holly questions and stuff. I loved all that. Those
- 21:25Speaker 2: were my little digit see.
- 21:26Speaker 1: That and Graham getting him into a pack of tucks
- 21:28Speaker 1: and Travis is like nobody's wearing tuxes, and he was like, well,
- 21:31Speaker 1: we will be loved it. Yeah, what do you have?
- 21:35Speaker 1: Just two little things. I really enjoyed that's not the
- 21:39Speaker 1: right word. I laughed at teachable Talk. Yeah, but the
- 21:43Speaker 1: fact that the movie is called dead Talk, They're like, yeah,
- 21:46Speaker 1: you get you get it. Yeah, clever, I liked it.
- 21:49Speaker 1: I liked it. I'm going to pull a listener mail
- 21:53Speaker 1: bag comment actually for this episode because I think it's relevant.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Is that okay with you? Mm hmm. We have an
- 21:59Speaker 1: email from Jackie who's says, okay, So I'm rewatching mystery
- 22:01Speaker 1: one on one because I love it and I know
- 22:03Speaker 1: you're going to review it. But in the episode Dead Talk,
- 22:06Speaker 1: Christopher Palaha is talking about the best pac z ki
- 22:11Speaker 1: maker in Chicago. He says punch key, and it's driving
- 22:15Speaker 1: me crazy. It's pronounced punch key or some people say
- 22:19Speaker 1: punch key, but never like he says it. And here,
- 22:21Speaker 1: I'm like packxy when you look at it. So she says,
- 22:25Speaker 1: thanks for letting me rants I'm sure there were other
- 22:29Speaker 1: Chicagoans who had the same thought.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that's how it doesn't say Jackie is from Chicago.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:34Speaker 2: I read that email before watching the movie, so when
- 22:37Speaker 2: it happened, I was like, oh, this is what she's
- 22:40Speaker 2: referring to here. I think if I would have I
- 22:43Speaker 2: wouldn't have known otherwise, of course at all. Yeah, I
- 22:47Speaker 2: don't even I still don't even know what it is.
- 22:48Speaker 1: What is it? A donut? A donut? You know how
- 22:52Speaker 1: I feel about donuts. Okay, let's rate it.
- 22:55Speaker 2: This one, for me is easily the strongest out of
- 23:00Speaker 2: the four movies we've seen so far. I gave it
- 23:03Speaker 2: four and a half stars. I gave it four point
- 23:05Speaker 2: two five stars. This might be the first time we
- 23:09Speaker 2: have not rated these movies the same, and it's going
- 23:14Speaker 2: in a nice upward for I know trajection.
- 23:17Speaker 1: I'm actually glad we didn't have the same rating because
- 23:18Speaker 1: people get mad when we do the same one. Do
- 23:21Speaker 1: get mad as if we're we don't. It just happens before.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Sometimes we agree. That's just the way it works. I'm
- 23:30Speaker 1: not gonna be like it's a two star movie, fight
- 23:33Speaker 1: me on it. Yeah, all right. Thank you for listening
