- 0:14Speaker 1: I am Bang and I'm here with none other than my good brother, nate.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Nate, we just got done talking about well, first of all.
- 0:22Speaker 1: First of all, how are you today, nate man?
- 0:23Speaker 1: I'm awesome, I'm great.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Now you tend to have a very upbeat, positive mentality.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Why.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Well, I try to.
- 0:35Speaker 2: You know, this morning I woke up in kind of a mood, but I went out for a run and I just saw a guy he was dressed up in a costume.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Went out for a run and I just saw a guy he was dressed up in a costume on an electric bike, and I just had to laugh.
- 0:49Speaker 2: You know, it boosted my mood instantly.
- 0:51Speaker 2: It's just things like that, that, the random things in life that make you.
- 0:55Speaker 2: It's just things like that that make you want to really enjoy things.
- 1:01Speaker 2: So it's small, but I it's.
- 1:06Speaker 1: It's just the little things like that that really yeah, yeah, I feel like if you, if you want to find a reason to be upset, you can, oh yeah, and if you want to find a reason to be happy, you can.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what I mean?
- 1:17Speaker 1: Yeah, it's definitely just a mindset, so that's dope.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, um, we just got done talking about social media and the importance of it and how to define slash, decide if you need to be on facebook, linkedin tiktok, so on and so forth, but I wanted to bring you in because something unique that we offer at podcastvideoscom is called a micro site, um, and so talk a little bit about that and talk about what a microsite is and how it can help you know your show, slash brand or whatever it is.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Yeah, so as far as websites go, that's basically my area of the company and we have two different types of websites.
- 1:56Speaker 2: One is the media side or media website, so podcastmediacom would be a media website, and then any diamond package client, which is our all cart and basically full service package, will have a website in analytics, if that's the options that they choose and that's where the microsite comes in.
- 2:15Speaker 2: So it's basically a dedicated website.
- 2:17Speaker 2: We have a custom domain for the podcast show and basically that's where all the content for the show lives and any search engine optimization and SEO value will be driven to that site.
- 2:32Speaker 2: That way it can be visible in search engines and then any content you know it's going to be.
- 2:36Speaker 2: That's where we drive all people to find what, where your show is and what it's about, and that's where they can go to find more about that.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Yeah, not only does it have a super legit feel to be like oh yeah, go check out the website You're saying you get analytics and you can see how well your show is performing, and all of that good stuff.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Yeah, we can set up analytics, and usually with any website you'd want to do that.
- 3:02Speaker 2: That way you can see where your visitors come from, and then you can set up many different types of conversions that way, because it's interesting to see how people are getting to your site and where they're going and where they're clicking.
- 3:12Speaker 2: And you can do that with our tools that we have that we're using one for the website and then one for analytics.
- 3:19Speaker 2: They're both platforms that are built around bloggers and content creators, and that's exactly what we're doing with the diamond packages Just creating constant flows of content, and that's what's going to keep traffic to your site, and you know it's always.
- 3:35Speaker 2: For each site it's always a different kind of experience.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Everybody's got different goals, but it's always no matter what show it is.
- 3:45Speaker 2: The website's a hub for that, that show.
- 3:49Speaker 2: That makes sense.
- 3:50Speaker 2: So everything's going to live there and that's like the one true source of um.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Anything about that show, yeah.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Yeah, talk about some, some people's different goals.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Like you know, you said, every debate based off um, you know, whatever your specific goal is, that kind of determines like what your site layout will look like, feel like how you'll navigate it, so on and so forth.
- 4:12Speaker 1: And so what are some things that you've seen that people want to kind of get out of their experience?
- 4:17Speaker 2: It's interesting because not everybody knows what's possible until they have the option to do certain things.
- 4:25Speaker 2: You know, a website gives you the option to basically put whatever you want on the internet and then have people find it in.
- 4:35Speaker 2: You know, with what we're doing, we we leverage audio and video to do that, which is very unique Um, but also with podcast shows, I think a lot of people want to try to get into.
- 4:45Speaker 2: If they're doing a podcast and they really like what they're talking about, they probably want to eventually monetize it.
- 4:50Speaker 2: So there is the option to do that and that's that's one of the main goals that we've heard a lot of the podcast shows that we work with.
- 4:58Speaker 2: They're like we want to have um companies that we partner with, we want to have advertising, we want to have, maybe, products on the site that is something that we can do.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Um, so that that would be an example of a goal Definitely like e-commerce.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Um, it's.
- 5:13Speaker 2: It's basically just a, a, a blog site to start with, but that doesn't mean you can't add products if you want it to, like you know.
- 5:21Speaker 1: So yeah, and the thing, the cool thing about the microsite is you can change it and it can kind of grow with you.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Say, your goals and your aspirations change, then you can customize the site to meet whatever needs that you have correct.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Correct.
- 5:34Speaker 2: So the way we have them set up is the themes are custom coded, so that means I have the option to go in and pretty much do whatever we want.
- 5:47Speaker 2: We can add advertising on there, we can add products.
- 5:51Speaker 2: We can, you know, we can basically create your own unique layout on the website.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Right now we have a template that's standard for all of our diamond packages, but we usually try to add in different design elements to make them unique and stand out a little bit more.
- 6:06Speaker 2: But if you go to the different diamond package sites you can definitely tell okay, this is the.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I've seen this before If you go to one or the other.
- 6:15Speaker 2: So we're trying to establish some sort of familiarity there.
- 6:19Speaker 2: But also it's like you don't want to have a cookie cutter at that point.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Not everybody wants the same thing, so that's where that design flexibility comes in.
- 6:35Speaker 1: You can really put whatever you want on the site.
- 6:36Speaker 1: That's super dope.
- 6:38Speaker 1: So for somebody that's cold feet, hesitant to pull the trigger, really, really want to, uh, experience this right and then maybe start their own video show podcast.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Whatever the case may be, what would you say to them?
- 6:46Speaker 2: that's a good question, you know, um, I think any it's like.
- 6:53Speaker 2: So what I would say is, if you, if you have an idea, right, you can, you can have a podcast about that and then, also relating back to um, maybe more on the blogging side, like, if you have something that you like talking about, you can write about that.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Sure.
- 7:12Speaker 2: And going back to the podcast, you can come in here to the studio record and then throw everything on a website, right, sure, I think there's two different types of people.
- 7:24Speaker 2: I'm one of the types of people that likes to write things down electronically, one of the types of people that likes to write things down electronically.
- 7:30Speaker 2: I'm not really a pen and paper type of person, but I think there's the other side of that, where people write, really like to write things down.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Sure, I'm having that, that, that connection, you know, they can that that tangential, just do it, you know.
- 7:42Speaker 2: But either way, you can throw all that on a website and then, you know, have it exist there and then you can really do whatever you want with it.
- 7:51Speaker 2: It's, it's.
- 7:51Speaker 2: I know I'm kind of sounding like a broken record a little bit, but there's so much you can do and why wouldn't you have a website.
- 7:58Speaker 2: It's just another iron in the fire.
- 8:00Speaker 1: You know that you can add to whatever you're trying to do and it helps you stand out you know, and whether you want to be discovered, you know or receive sponsors, or you know advertise it, or whether you just want to have a time cap so that you can come back to like this website is something that you can utilize, that can help you reach either goal is what I'm hearing you say.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, that's a great point about the time capsule.
- 8:24Speaker 2: If you were starting with a website like, let's say, that's exactly what you wanted to do, you know you wanted to have one you can start with a version one, right, and then by the next year you can go back and be like, okay, we're going to change things a little bit, have a version two and then, however long you decide to go with it 10, 15 years down the road you can be, like the, this website has changed a lot.
- 8:47Speaker 2: If you wanted to change it a lot, um, or it can be, you know, something that doesn't change, sure.
- 8:52Speaker 2: And so I guess with the time capsule, you can be like going back and looking like, yeah, that was really cool to see the progression of, because it changed with the show, or it changed with us, um, the ideas, everything like that you can kind of see like it grew with us as people, because a website is kind of an extension of yourself in a way, totally, um, so, yeah, that I mean, that'd be really that would be really cool.
- 9:15Speaker 2: We don't really have anything like that in place, but it would be kind of cool to see something like that would be really cool.
- 9:17Speaker 2: We don't really have anything like that in place, but it would be kind of cool to see something like that and we're innovating too so you never know in the future.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks for your time.
- 9:25Speaker 1: If you guys have any questions about honestly anything tech, I'm not going to lie.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Nate is the guru, so feel free to drop down into the comments or
