After 15 years of legal battles, former Oregon police sergeant Lynn Benton—now known as Blake—has been sentenced to 20 years for the 2011 murder of his wife, Debbie Higbee-Benton. Found dead in her salon with fatal blows, Blake allegedly hired others to kill her to silence her from exposing domestic abuse that could’ve destroyed his police career. He’s already served 10 years.
