- 3:15Speaker 2: I'm like four episodes in I need a I need

- 4:06Speaker 2: by the way, if you're shutter high, Hi, shutter how
- 4:09Speaker 2: are you? If you could get back with me and

- 4:19Speaker 2: to talk to y'all kind chat you know, So if
- 4:24Speaker 2: you if you're listening out there in the world, please
- 4:27Speaker 2: get back to bitch, get back to a bit so
- 4:31Speaker 2: I know all that well, let's get back to Book
- 4:35Speaker 2: of the Book of Time will have Time.
- 4:38Speaker 1: The Book of Time of Time. Oh my god, we're
- 4:42Speaker 1: I've only been doing this a better part of Like
- 4:47Speaker 1: we are on book We are now on book thirteen.
- 4:50Speaker 1: You heard that right, we are on book thirteen out
- 4:53Speaker 1: of fourteen books. We're almost done. Like I enjoyed this
- 4:58Speaker 1: book so much, but I'm already like, yeah, I'm so glad,
- 5:02Speaker 1: I'm done. It took me nine months to read this
- 5:04Speaker 1: damn series all together.
- 5:07Speaker 2: And just so you all know, and that your children
- 5:10Speaker 2: will know, and that everyone will know, Book thirteen and
- 5:16Speaker 2: probably fourteen, we'll see are gonna be two parts each,
- 5:21Speaker 2: Probably thirteen for sure, it's gonna have a part one
- 5:24Speaker 2: part two. So this week and next week are gonna
- 5:26Speaker 2: be Book thirteen because there's apparently there's a lot going
- 5:29Speaker 2: on there, and Book fourteen is TBA, but there's a
- 5:33Speaker 2: good chance they'll probably be two parts, so expect all that.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Anyway, Book fourteen will probably be a two parter because
- 5:43Speaker 1: a lot happens. We're talking like almost like like the
- 5:47Speaker 1: Return of the King. A lot happens. Oh yeah, Because
- 5:50Speaker 1: this is because the entire book was going to be
- 5:52Speaker 1: covering the entire it's gonna be all about the final battle.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Like book Book twelve, thirteen fourteen are both written by
- 6:01Speaker 1: Brandon Sanderson using the notes left behind by the late
- 6:06Speaker 1: Robert Jordan. So Book twelve was more seamless, and It's
- 6:13Speaker 1: was more seamless in the blending of Sanderson's and Jordan's writing.
- 6:19Speaker 1: But you can definitely tell that by the time thirteen
- 6:22Speaker 1: and fourteen roll around, he's really just going off of
- 6:24Speaker 1: the notes himself, off his notes, because I believe Jordan
- 6:27Speaker 1: had pretty much completed Book twelve before he passed away.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Sanderson just had to fill in the blanks. But now
- 6:33Speaker 1: he's going off where he's going completely off his own writing,
- 6:36Speaker 1: He's going completely off of Jordan's Jordan's notes. There are
- 6:41Speaker 1: some things that get hinted at in both these books
- 6:43Speaker 1: that had Jordan not passed away, there probably would have
- 6:47Speaker 1: been so much other books. There would have been more novels,
- 6:51Speaker 1: and even if he did end it after a certain point,
- 6:53Speaker 1: there probably would have been like a continuation like they were.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Probably most likely would have been more to come in
- 6:59Speaker 1: the world of the Wheel of Time, but except it
- 7:01Speaker 1: would just be from different perspectives. But now these books
- 7:09Speaker 1: are just these last two books are going to be
- 7:11Speaker 1: completely Brandon Sanderson's flair writing. It's going to be it's
- 7:17Speaker 1: going to be Jordan's story, but as written, but as
- 7:20Speaker 1: written and interpreted by Brandon Sanderson. He did a really
- 7:24Speaker 1: great job in capturing their interpretations, his interpreter capturing the story.
- 7:31Speaker 1: He did a really good job. And he closed out
- 7:33Speaker 1: the book. I only wish that. I only wish that
- 7:36Speaker 1: by the time he closes out fourteen there would have
- 7:38Speaker 1: been more. I would have loved this series to continue,
- 7:44Speaker 1: but unfortunately it will not, or maybe it will, who knows.
- 7:50Speaker 1: So for right now, let's go ahead and get into
- 7:52Speaker 1: the story. So, just like in every other Wheel of
- 7:57Speaker 1: Time book, there is a lot that happens in these,
- 8:01Speaker 1: there is a lot that happens Book thirteen, we are
- 8:05Speaker 1: going to see the actual beginning of this war, of
- 8:11Speaker 1: the Final Battle, and is also we are going to
- 8:15Speaker 1: be seeing Ran going on a bit of a redemption arc.
- 8:18Speaker 1: This is going to this book is technically his redemption
- 8:20Speaker 1: arc because leading up to book twelve, Rand had become
- 8:23Speaker 1: more and more like pretty much since the events of
- 8:29Speaker 1: Dumai's Wells and even in the events of the Cleansing
- 8:35Speaker 1: farmatting and his capture and his encounters with Samarage, Rand
- 8:44Speaker 1: had become more and more of a very harsh person.
- 8:47Speaker 1: He was trying to make himself into a harder, more
- 8:51Speaker 1: totalitarian figure, like he needs to be hard. He has
- 8:55Speaker 1: to like think of he has to think of his
- 8:57Speaker 1: allies as tools rather than his ally He needs to
- 9:01Speaker 1: use the resources he's been given, and he started thinking
- 9:06Speaker 1: viewing his own friends as disposable. And it wasn't until
- 9:11Speaker 1: And the thing is though, this not only was this
- 9:13Speaker 1: was not just being brought on by his own personal
- 9:17Speaker 1: trauma from his experiences, but also from the madness itself.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Because even though Sighting is now cleansed, he's no longer
- 9:26Speaker 1: being infected by the darkness that that was infecting the source,
- 9:32Speaker 1: it still left its mark on him. So while he
- 9:36Speaker 1: and other and the other shaman and other male channelers
- 9:40Speaker 1: will no longer go mad, they're still going to deal
- 9:43Speaker 1: with the ones that have been affected by the corruption
- 9:47Speaker 1: are still going to be affected by it. There it's
- 9:49Speaker 1: still left its mark, they're still tainted by it. And
- 9:53Speaker 1: future but though future generations of Chandlers will not be
- 9:56Speaker 1: affected by it, they will be able to channel like
- 9:59Speaker 1: normally without worrying about without having to worry about being
- 10:03Speaker 1: infected by this madness or going mad. They can just
- 10:08Speaker 1: simply they'll be able to simply learn how to channel,
- 10:11Speaker 1: and they won't. Nothing will happen to him. But Rand
- 10:15Speaker 1: was finally Ran was finally able to overcome his madness
- 10:20Speaker 1: because part of his madness, aside from the extreme paranoia
- 10:23Speaker 1: and extreme paranoia, unpredictability, and aggression, his madness, manifested it
- 10:33Speaker 1: and the memories and personality of Loose Tharren tell him
- 10:37Speaker 1: on his previous incarnation and Louse Thearren. As the madness grew,
- 10:42Speaker 1: began to affect Ran and enforce its own will on Rand,
- 10:48Speaker 1: even in the I think it was in book I
- 10:52Speaker 1: believe it was in book twelve or eleven when when
- 10:56Speaker 1: luc Arron actually managed to seize control of the power
- 10:59Speaker 1: from Rand and almost killed himself doing it. But Ran
- 11:06Speaker 1: was able to was able to come to a compromise
- 11:09Speaker 1: with his past life and prevent him from going from
- 11:13Speaker 1: going any further. But finally he was able to reconcile himself.
- 11:19Speaker 1: He overcame his madness by reconciling his two separate identities
- 11:24Speaker 1: as not being two separate people, but rather accepting that
- 11:29Speaker 1: leus Thren is who he was, so he now as
- 11:34Speaker 1: we in the next two. In these last two books,
- 11:37Speaker 1: Ran will begin now sees himself not as just Rand
- 11:40Speaker 1: al Thor, but has also loose theren Tellaman. So oftentimes
- 11:45Speaker 1: he will refer to himself as as Louis Theron. He'll
- 11:48Speaker 1: refer to himself as Rand. He can perfectly recall all
- 11:52Speaker 1: of his previous life's memories, but to him, it's more
- 11:56Speaker 1: of to him, those are his memories. They're like those
- 12:00Speaker 1: he sees them as his memories. They're not just Lose
- 12:03Speaker 1: Terran's memories. They are his memories just from his previous life,
- 12:08Speaker 1: and his identity was Lose. Thearron has completely merged together.
- 12:12Speaker 1: So now he's no longer hearing the disembodied voice of
- 12:16Speaker 1: Loose ns like constantly rambling in his head. Now it's
- 12:21Speaker 1: all he has. He has his full coherence feedback. And
- 12:26Speaker 1: because of this, he's reached a new level of his
- 12:28Speaker 1: own of his own power. He's now completely come into
- 12:32Speaker 1: his power as a channeler but also as a Taveran.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Now I mentioned tavern multiple times throughout uh the entire
- 12:42Speaker 1: the entirety of this series. Taverian are people that are
- 12:46Speaker 1: not affected by the pattern like normal people are. Usually
- 12:51Speaker 1: normal people are woven into the pattern, into the greater
- 12:57Speaker 1: mass of the pattern right that they're affected by the
- 13:00Speaker 1: pattern and they have like a set course a destiny.
- 13:04Speaker 1: While a Taverian, rather than the pattern weaving them into
- 13:10Speaker 1: its shape, taveren cause the pattern to change to warp
- 13:15Speaker 1: around them. Now it's different from people, it's different for
- 13:19Speaker 1: each Taverian. There's currently three known Taveriant in this story, Paren, Matt,
- 13:25Speaker 1: and rand Uh. Paren is the weakest of the Taverian
- 13:29Speaker 1: because his to his abilities as a Taverian are not
- 13:32Speaker 1: as grand. They're not as like, oh, like random occurrences
- 13:39Speaker 1: or just extreme or extreme luck. It's more of like
- 13:42Speaker 1: he he's always he's always going to be in the
- 13:44Speaker 1: right place at the right time. And it also forms
- 13:48Speaker 1: and it all his manifests more in the form of
- 13:51Speaker 1: leadership and the kind of way that how some people
- 13:55Speaker 1: like just based on their personality, how they treat others
- 13:58Speaker 1: around them, somehow manages to just change their life, like
- 14:01Speaker 1: he's like that one person that you needed to meet
- 14:04Speaker 1: that altered the course of your life for the good
- 14:07Speaker 1: or for the bad, and that's pretty much how parents'
- 14:12Speaker 1: Taverian abilities have always manifested themselves. People that would have
- 14:17Speaker 1: once been his enemies are now his closest allies. He's
- 14:20Speaker 1: brought different groups together. Hell, he's brought the Sean He's
- 14:24Speaker 1: got he got the Shawn Sean to work with him,
- 14:27Speaker 1: and the Aeel and the Iel don't really like the
- 14:29Speaker 1: Shaan Sean at the moment, And later on we'll see
- 14:33Speaker 1: in this book, Matt I'm sorry parent manages to get
- 14:37Speaker 1: the White Cloaks to work with him as well. And
- 14:42Speaker 1: then you got Matt, who, while his own leadership skills
- 14:47Speaker 1: are notwithstanding, he's his Taverian abilities manifests and like just
- 14:53Speaker 1: just sheer luck. Like he's extremely lucky, all right, He's
- 14:58Speaker 1: he is always going to in the right place at
- 15:00Speaker 1: the right time. Any bets he makes will always be
- 15:04Speaker 1: the right bet. And he's become and this has made
- 15:08Speaker 1: him into a bit of a into a bit of
- 15:10Speaker 1: a gambler, in which he is again he's always been
- 15:12Speaker 1: a gambler. But no matter what how he tosses the dice,
- 15:16Speaker 1: no matter how he plays his cards, he's gonna win.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I mean, he loses, he has loss, but more likely
- 15:23Speaker 1: than not he's going to win. And then you got Rand,
- 15:27Speaker 1: who is the most power, who is the strongest out
- 15:30Speaker 1: of all of He is the strongest Taverian out of
- 15:32Speaker 1: all three. In fact, Rand's Taverian abilities have often been
- 15:35Speaker 1: compared with another historical figure who was also reported to
- 15:40Speaker 1: be a tavern And this historical figure was Arthur Hopwing.
- 15:47Speaker 1: This man had conquered all of the Westlands like about
- 15:50Speaker 1: a thousand years ago and made it into one singular empire.
- 15:53Speaker 1: And it was from this empire that the Sean Shaan
- 15:57Speaker 1: came from. But still ran severant going back to ran
- 16:04Speaker 1: severing abilities his power, his abilities uh are more life changing,
- 16:10Speaker 1: they're more extreme, like he causes extreme occurrences to happen,
- 16:15Speaker 1: so and it can always it's always either good or bad.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Some people like like like spontaneous events begin to occur,
- 16:23Speaker 1: like like a bunch of people getting start getting married,
- 16:27Speaker 1: like well, like marriages start happening at random because like sudden,
- 16:30Speaker 1: he just causes like people to suddenly want to like, oh,
- 16:33Speaker 1: like let's get married. And then he also causes uh
- 16:37Speaker 1: like like aside from marriages to also birth rates go up,
- 16:40Speaker 1: but then also deaths begin to arise, so like there's
- 16:45Speaker 1: his severe abilities are there's always a balance to it.
- 16:49Speaker 1: For every like extreme good thing that happens, extreme bad
- 16:52Speaker 1: things happens too, and unfortunately Ran had to learn to
- 16:56Speaker 1: deal with it because he doesn't have any control over that. So,
- 17:01Speaker 1: like aside from marriages and birth rates and death rates
- 17:03Speaker 1: extreme increasing, Like if there was an accident that happens,
- 17:08Speaker 1: like let's say a man falls from a three story building,
- 17:10Speaker 1: instead of breaking his neck, he just gets up and
- 17:12Speaker 1: walks away without a without a single scratch. But then
- 17:15Speaker 1: you have another man who trips on a pebble and
- 17:19Speaker 1: falls and breaks his neck.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Oh god, mm hmm.
- 17:24Speaker 1: So his teverean abilities cause extreme like things to happen.
- 17:28Speaker 1: He changes people's lives and he's and he's passively warping
- 17:33Speaker 1: the pattern around him. But they they manifest themselves in
- 17:37Speaker 1: extreme and often unpredictable ways. But now his severe abilities
- 17:44Speaker 1: have become somewhat different because before Rand's abilities were more random,
- 17:50Speaker 1: but at the same time they were causing they were
- 17:53Speaker 1: beginning to cause more negative effects on the people around him.
- 17:57Speaker 1: That was because since his matt since he was ascending
- 17:59Speaker 1: more into his men sadness, it was also affecting his
- 18:01Speaker 1: Taverian abilities, so rather than being perfectly balanced, they were
- 18:05Speaker 1: leaning more towards the dark and dreary. In fact, many
- 18:09Speaker 1: people who knew him or who interacted with him felt
- 18:12Speaker 1: like there was like some sort of darkness surrounding him.
- 18:16Speaker 1: But now throughout this book, in the next book, whenever
- 18:19Speaker 1: people talk to him, whenever they see him, it's like
- 18:23Speaker 1: they see like he's surrounded in this field of light.
- 18:25Speaker 1: I mean there's no light there, but still right, there's
- 18:29Speaker 1: this sense like this, they just have this like really
- 18:32Speaker 1: good sense, and they have a strong feeling like they
- 18:35Speaker 1: need to follow his like they need to follow him.
- 18:40Speaker 1: And also as part of his Taverian abilities, he's now
- 18:45Speaker 1: causing the world to correct itself because right now with
- 18:49Speaker 1: the Dark One, since the Dark One's prison is weakening
- 18:52Speaker 1: more and more, his influence on the world is becoming
- 18:54Speaker 1: more extreme and becoming more powerful. They are more bubbles
- 18:57Speaker 1: of evils appearing, popping up everywhere. Uh. The pattern is
- 19:02Speaker 1: warping and changing. Uh. Like buildings are shifting and changing
- 19:07Speaker 1: as well, Like hallways are shifting. Rooms are being moved
- 19:11Speaker 1: from like the top floor to the bottom floor, and
- 19:13Speaker 1: vice versa. The balcony is now undergraing on the basement,
- 19:17Speaker 1: is now on the roof. Right, these random these random
- 19:21Speaker 1: things that are being caused by the Dark One's influence,
- 19:24Speaker 1: but now rans Taverian's ability, being that being a Taverian
- 19:28Speaker 1: it is all about balance. Is now is now leaning
- 19:31Speaker 1: more towards light to counteract the dark, the darkness that's
- 19:34Speaker 1: being caused by the Dark One. It's kind of like
- 19:37Speaker 1: the evil that the Dark One is creating. So since
- 19:40Speaker 1: there's now a permanent cloud cover covering the entire world,
- 19:45Speaker 1: no matter where Ran goes, there's always a perfect circle
- 19:49Speaker 1: in the cloud that appears that lets the sunlight through. Yeah,
- 19:54Speaker 1: so it's just like so like now his allies know
- 19:57Speaker 1: if he's around, because suddenly, like a the clouds will
- 20:00Speaker 1: like part in a perfect ring like several miles around
- 20:04Speaker 1: where they're where they are, and it's just clear sky.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 20:09Speaker 1: First time we see this is when is right over
- 20:12Speaker 1: the Dragon Mounts. That's when that's when Ren finally overcame
- 20:16Speaker 1: his madness. And now we're gonna see it wherever he goes.
- 20:19Speaker 1: So let's go ahead and get started with the story.
- 20:22Speaker 1: We're gonna go ahead and we're gonna get through. We're
- 20:26Speaker 1: gonna talk about some of the minor characters. So like,
- 20:30Speaker 1: of course, when the when the book starts off the
- 20:34Speaker 1: in the prologue, it starts off with several other characters
- 20:38Speaker 1: like some of theirs, what are they're doing so or
- 20:40Speaker 1: like it's kind of like closing out like some of
- 20:42Speaker 1: the unanswered. It's answering some of the unanswered questions from
- 20:45Speaker 1: the previous books and uh opening up new ones for
- 20:49Speaker 1: the for the coming story. Len is now in Saldia,
- 20:55Speaker 1: slowly making his way to uh Shinar where he where
- 21:03Speaker 1: he and uh where he's planning on uh making a
- 21:06Speaker 1: final stand against the dark forces. But the thing is
- 21:10Speaker 1: is that while he wanted to be this whole, do
- 21:12Speaker 1: this whole lone wolf for Teene, his wife Ninive was
- 21:16Speaker 1: like no. So she ran all over the border lands.
- 21:20Speaker 1: She she traveled all over the border lands and sent
- 21:22Speaker 1: out a message to everyone calling for anybody, mainly the
- 21:26Speaker 1: remnants of the dead Nation of malk here to ride
- 21:31Speaker 1: to to lie the all folks cut that out. I
- 21:40Speaker 1: can't sometimes I just can't talk. It's like my mind
- 21:43Speaker 1: is going a million miles a minute. Uh. So Ninive
- 21:49Speaker 1: sets gives out a call to any remnants of malk
- 21:52Speaker 1: Her to ride to their king's aid. So she tells
- 21:56Speaker 1: them that Land, that Land is taking a loan road
- 22:00Speaker 1: and he's going. Uh, he's going to take the the
- 22:04Speaker 1: He's going to the last battle at I think the
- 22:09Speaker 1: place is called uh Tarmar's Gap.
- 22:12Speaker 2: M hmm.
- 22:15Speaker 1: It's it's an area in Chinar where that it's a
- 22:18Speaker 1: pass in Chinar that leads from the deepest part of
- 22:21Speaker 1: the Blight into the borderlands, and the Shinerians have always
- 22:26Speaker 1: guarded that pass, but now Land is going to ride
- 22:29Speaker 1: to it, and he's going to fight the Uh. He's
- 22:33Speaker 1: going to fight the dark forces there. So as he's riding,
- 22:36Speaker 1: he's being he's being joined by hundreds of Malkirans like
- 22:40Speaker 1: uh old, like old crotchety Maulkerians uh and their children,
- 22:46Speaker 1: and even a few other Borderlanders who were like, wait,
- 22:48Speaker 1: the golden crane of Malkire is going to be is
- 22:51Speaker 1: being raised. Fuck we want some Fuck me, I want
- 22:54Speaker 1: in on that action. Aside from like, this is much
- 23:01Speaker 1: to to Lend's annoyance, but he decides to accept it
- 23:05Speaker 1: and continues writing. Parrien has been having has been having
- 23:11Speaker 1: dark dreams. He keeps recalling, he keeps recounting his dreams
- 23:16Speaker 1: keep going back to the events of Maldon and how
- 23:21Speaker 1: he had to kill his friend Aaron because Aaron had
- 23:24Speaker 1: been brainwashed by Missema. Oh and and he's also this
- 23:31Speaker 1: is also his dreams are showing him his fears of
- 23:36Speaker 1: being lost to his inner wolf, because being a wolf brother,
- 23:39Speaker 1: he's afraid of losing himself to that, to those to
- 23:42Speaker 1: that wolf side of him.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:44Speaker 1: And in the dream, instead of killing him with his
- 23:46Speaker 1: bare hands like he did, killing Aaron with his bare
- 23:49Speaker 1: hands like he did in real life, he sees himself
- 23:51Speaker 1: killing him as a wolf. We also see Grendel. How
- 23:57Speaker 1: we also see Grendel and how she was able to
- 24:00Speaker 1: escape from Natrum's borrow when Rand obliterated it with bailfire.
- 24:08Speaker 1: It happened pretty much like I described it. It happened
- 24:11Speaker 1: exactly how I described it in the last episode. She
- 24:14Speaker 1: quickly caught onto Rand's ruse, had somebody else compel his
- 24:19Speaker 1: little decoy, and when he finally destroyed the fortress, she
- 24:22Speaker 1: made sure that Arangar and the black Asure sister Delana
- 24:30Speaker 1: were trapped in there before she made her escape. So
- 24:36Speaker 1: Grendall is still alive and she now she now has
- 24:39Speaker 1: escaped to her other to another one of her hideouts,
- 24:43Speaker 1: and from this point Grendel has been given new orders
- 24:47Speaker 1: to instead of going to of course, leave Rand alone.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Rand was not to mess with it at all. And
- 24:54Speaker 1: since her since she was forced out of her hide
- 24:59Speaker 1: out in Arid Doman, she no longer has control of
- 25:03Speaker 1: the region, so she's now been giving orders to hunt
- 25:08Speaker 1: down and destroy Parent. So she's going to be trying
- 25:12Speaker 1: to she won't. She herself is not going to personally
- 25:15Speaker 1: try to attack Paren, but she does use several of
- 25:18Speaker 1: her several shadow friend agents, mainly this one agent called
- 25:23Speaker 1: the Hunter, who has the ability to not only dream walk,
- 25:27Speaker 1: but physically enter the world of dreams. So this man,
- 25:31Speaker 1: this man makes It was first encountered in Believe. It
- 25:37Speaker 1: was booked book four when Paren had traveled back to
- 25:45Speaker 1: the Two Rivers to not only help the Two Rivers
- 25:48Speaker 1: folk that were being assaulted by the White Cloaks, but
- 25:50Speaker 1: also by the Trollic forces. And that's the first time
- 25:53Speaker 1: we see him. Paren noticed that there were no wolves
- 25:56Speaker 1: in the Two Rivers anymore, and that's because this dude
- 25:59Speaker 1: loves hunt wolves, both in the real world and in
- 26:02Speaker 1: the dream world. And now it's up to parent to
- 26:06Speaker 1: put a stop to him because most because he mostly
- 26:10Speaker 1: operates in the dream world. We also see Galad Galad Damadred,
- 26:18Speaker 1: who is the half brother of Elaine tra Khan is
- 26:21Speaker 1: now the leader of the of what the remains of
- 26:24Speaker 1: the White Cloak forces. The thing is is that the
- 26:30Speaker 1: White Cloaks have been split between two groups. There are
- 26:33Speaker 1: just the general White Cloaks, and then there are the questioners,
- 26:37Speaker 1: the hand of or the are the truth seekers as ah,
- 26:44Speaker 1: Let me see, what do they call themselves? They don't
- 26:46Speaker 1: call themselves questioners. They call themselves the hand of Light.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Let me get the actual what they actually call themselves.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Of course, The thing is the questioners don't call themselves questioners.
- 26:59Speaker 1: They because they find it insulting. But everyone calls them
- 27:05Speaker 1: questioners anyway. But everyone calls them questioners anyway because fuck them.
- 27:17Speaker 1: End of Light, that's what they call themselves. Yeah, they
- 27:20Speaker 1: call themselves the hand of Light. They are the ones
- 27:22Speaker 1: responsible for questioning dark friends and interrogation and things like that.
- 27:28Speaker 1: And the thing about the questioners is that they have
- 27:30Speaker 1: such a they have a very bad reputation because when
- 27:36Speaker 1: they question people, it doesn't matter if the people no
- 27:39Speaker 1: matter how much they torture them, all they want to
- 27:43Speaker 1: hear is like, you've been accused of a dark friend,
- 27:45Speaker 1: just admit it, and even if that person is a
- 27:47Speaker 1: dark even if that person is a dark friend or not,
- 27:50Speaker 1: they will not accept any other answer than yes, you
- 27:52Speaker 1: are a dark friend. Yes, I'm a dark friend. So
- 27:56Speaker 1: oftentimes they end up torturing and questioning innocent people who
- 28:01Speaker 1: have no affiliation with the dark at all, and due
- 28:05Speaker 1: to their brutal interrogation techniques, those innocent people not only
- 28:10Speaker 1: end up dying, but they also end up admitting to
- 28:12Speaker 1: shit that they've never done.
- 28:14Speaker 2: That's so that's some Jedi shit, Yeah, I guess.
- 28:25Speaker 1: But anyway, when Galad had taken control of the White Cloaks,
- 28:31Speaker 1: the questioners broke away because they don't because they believe
- 28:36Speaker 1: that how he came to power was illegal even though
- 28:38Speaker 1: it wasn't, and their leader Asunawa, branded Galad a dark
- 28:47Speaker 1: friend and a murderer. And the thing is is that
- 28:53Speaker 1: when Galad led his horses away from the Questioners, the
- 28:56Speaker 1: questioners pursued them with a large force of like about
- 28:59Speaker 1: ten thousand of their own White Cloaks and as well
- 29:01Speaker 1: as a force of ammeditions But the thing is is
- 29:05Speaker 1: that when they caught up, when they finally caught up
- 29:08Speaker 1: to Gallady, Gallad was originally going to Gallud originally agreed
- 29:14Speaker 1: to allow himself to be taken in and be tried
- 29:18Speaker 1: under the condition that the men that follow him were
- 29:21Speaker 1: not to be punished. But later on we see that
- 29:24Speaker 1: his men, as well as the other white cloaks that
- 29:26Speaker 1: were following Asenawa and the Questioners, they all came to
- 29:30Speaker 1: their senses and realized, like, first of all, Asinawa himself
- 29:33Speaker 1: is a dark friend, but they also realize that right now,
- 29:37Speaker 1: due to like everything that they've seen leading up to
- 29:41Speaker 1: this point, the final battle is here. Like they can't
- 29:47Speaker 1: deny it, even though Asinawa has been telling everyone that
- 29:50Speaker 1: it's not true, nobody can deny that everything that's been
- 29:53Speaker 1: happening are that. They can't deny that those aren't the
- 29:57Speaker 1: signs that the final battle is here, that the end
- 29:59Speaker 1: of the world is here. So his own white Cloaks,
- 30:01Speaker 1: as well as some of the white Cloaks and Ammedians
- 30:05Speaker 1: that were following Asnawa and the Questioners, they rose up
- 30:08Speaker 1: and ends up, and they all end up executing the remainder,
- 30:14Speaker 1: the remainder of the questioners, including Osinawa. So all the
- 30:17Speaker 1: questioners get completely they all get executed, and uh Asunawa
- 30:24Speaker 1: himself is also executed, and they all raised galled back
- 30:28Speaker 1: to the uh Uh to the role of the Lord
- 30:32Speaker 1: Banner command, the Lord Captain commander, and he begins leading
- 30:37Speaker 1: them north UH and that is where he they Uh.
- 30:41Speaker 1: His scouts tell him that they found Parents' forces and
- 30:45Speaker 1: the thing in the white cloaks Uh mainly several white
- 30:48Speaker 1: cloaks that have been traveling with him, Dane Dane Bornhold
- 30:52Speaker 1: and another guy tell him that parent is a dark
- 30:55Speaker 1: friend and he that they need to arrest him and
- 30:59Speaker 1: execute him. So now parents forces are being confronted by
- 31:03Speaker 1: these white cloaks. We also we also see a character
- 31:09Speaker 1: just this is still the prolog. By the way, I'm
- 31:11Speaker 1: taking too long on this. I'm trying. I'm taking too
- 31:14Speaker 1: long on the prologue. Padd and Fane himself is still
- 31:20Speaker 1: We haven't seen pad and Fane since book nine when
- 31:24Speaker 1: he attacked when he attacked Rand and far Matting. But
- 31:28Speaker 1: now he is in the blight and he's killing everything
- 31:31Speaker 1: he comes across, and he still has the the Ruby Dagger,
- 31:36Speaker 1: which is giving him the power of Mashadar, then the
- 31:40Speaker 1: dark entity from shadarlo Goth and now the thing is
- 31:44Speaker 1: Mashadar itself is taking over him. It's giving him its power.
- 31:50Speaker 1: So now he's able to summon the mist entity and
- 31:53Speaker 1: it's able to kill everything for him, and in some
- 31:56Speaker 1: cases it begins turning trollocks into these like into these
- 32:01Speaker 1: zombie creatures that begin following him. But this is we're
- 32:05Speaker 1: not gonna see him again until like the last book.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Just thought i'd give you guys a reminder that he's
- 32:09Speaker 1: still here. He's still alive. Yeah, and we're also going
- 32:17Speaker 1: to this. We also see the first signs of the
- 32:20Speaker 1: final battle is beginning because in the king in the
- 32:24Speaker 1: borderland Kingdom of Candor, a Candory lookout tower notices that
- 32:31Speaker 1: there was a sick notices that there was a signal
- 32:35Speaker 1: a signal flash from another tower deeper into the blight.
- 32:39Speaker 1: While they check for the other tower. While they do
- 32:42Speaker 1: check send signals to the other towers, they noticed that
- 32:46Speaker 1: the that the other towers nearby don't respond with their
- 32:49Speaker 1: own or even send any other messages like signal fire messages,
- 32:54Speaker 1: and believing that believing correctly that those towers may have
- 32:59Speaker 1: been overta. This candory tower quickly sends out messengers to
- 33:05Speaker 1: back to the main cities further south, and they prepare
- 33:08Speaker 1: themselves to be assaulted by a large force of Trulucks,
- 33:13Speaker 1: and they were right. The commander of the Tower of
- 33:17Speaker 1: the Tower, milanar and Rye, make sure all of his
- 33:24Speaker 1: forces are ready, even going so far as to promote
- 33:27Speaker 1: his fifteen year old son to the rank of a soldier,
- 33:31Speaker 1: because Borderlanders are warrior society and every man is made
- 33:36Speaker 1: into a soldier by the time they're fifteen. And while
- 33:40Speaker 1: his son is only still like only a couple days
- 33:42Speaker 1: away from turning fifteen, he realizes his son makes his
- 33:46Speaker 1: own case, and they both realize that well, it doesn't
- 33:49Speaker 1: matter if he's fourteen or not, he's going to have
- 33:51Speaker 1: to fight. So promoting his son and giving him his
- 33:55Speaker 1: father's sword, his grandfather's swords, the two face. The two
- 33:59Speaker 1: along with the Battalian face the massive horde of trolux
- 34:03Speaker 1: and dragcar that assault the tower. So, like I said, guys,
- 34:09Speaker 1: the final battle is starting, all right, So let's see here.
- 34:26Speaker 1: So we're gonna go ahead and start with Paren's story.
- 34:29Speaker 1: We're gonna get his story out of the way. Because Paren.
- 34:33Speaker 1: While it's not the short his story is and the shortest,
- 34:35Speaker 1: he does have more going on, at least in the
- 34:38Speaker 1: first half of the book, So Perry Perry Paren Paren
- 34:45Speaker 1: has been busy gathering his forces and getting ready to
- 34:48Speaker 1: march north. Mainly, their main focus is to get to
- 34:51Speaker 1: Camlin and eventually reunite with Ran because part of his
- 34:56Speaker 1: tavern abilities, he can feel himself being drawn to Ran.
- 35:00Speaker 1: So now since the battle is coming and they need
- 35:03Speaker 1: to be there, he has to get everyone ready and
- 35:05Speaker 1: march to march north after making sure after dividing his
- 35:15Speaker 1: soldiers and for his forces between himself and the and
- 35:19Speaker 1: the refugees they rescued from Malden, he sends. He sends
- 35:24Speaker 1: a good majority of them away, allowing them to return
- 35:27Speaker 1: to their homes or to seek shelter with one of
- 35:29Speaker 1: the other Great nations. A large number of the of
- 35:33Speaker 1: the refugees that he rescued from Malden actually decide to
- 35:37Speaker 1: stay with Parrien and join his forces because many of
- 35:42Speaker 1: them know that many of them unfortunately no longer have
- 35:45Speaker 1: a home to go back to because they were either
- 35:47Speaker 1: destroyed by the Shidow or they were destroyed by Charlock forces,
- 35:53Speaker 1: or it's just a simple fact that they know that
- 35:55Speaker 1: the final battle is coming, so they want to be there.
- 35:58Speaker 1: And we do see this a lot in the couple books,
- 36:01Speaker 1: like we see random people like or like mercenary groups
- 36:04Speaker 1: or soldiers being caught up in like political games or
- 36:08Speaker 1: other battles across the Westlands. When they suddenly decide that,
- 36:11Speaker 1: you know, we're not going to do this anymore, the
- 36:13Speaker 1: final battles here, Let's get the fuck out of here,
- 36:15Speaker 1: and they all begin traveling north because they know that
- 36:18Speaker 1: the final battle is going to happen up north, closer
- 36:21Speaker 1: to the bike. Uh So Parent leaves their train the
- 36:26Speaker 1: training of these new refugees under tam al Thor and
- 36:33Speaker 1: at present, he's still struggling with being the leader. He
- 36:37Speaker 1: doesn't see himself as a leader, but everyone around him
- 36:40Speaker 1: seemed looks to him and accepts him as their true leader. Hell,
- 36:44Speaker 1: even the Queen of Galdean and the First of Mayen
- 36:47Speaker 1: and their own forces all see as all see Parent
- 36:50Speaker 1: as their real leader. Parent does begin begins sending some
- 37:02Speaker 1: of his non combative forces north, I mean mainly his
- 37:07Speaker 1: good friend Basil Gill and a caravan north so that
- 37:10Speaker 1: they can prepare like the next site for them and uh,
- 37:22Speaker 1: let's see here. Aside from them, Parent continues to get
- 37:29Speaker 1: his forces ready to move. Parent decides that he needs
- 37:33Speaker 1: to learn how to control his wolf abilities as well
- 37:36Speaker 1: as learn how to how to use his powers in
- 37:39Speaker 1: the dream world, so he agrees. He allows. He agrees
- 37:43Speaker 1: to be taught by his wolf friends, his wolffriend's spirit
- 37:47Speaker 1: in the dream world, Hopper Uh. And so they begin
- 37:55Speaker 1: to So Hopper begins to show Parent how to navigate
- 37:59Speaker 1: the dream world, how to use his abilities. But it's
- 38:02Speaker 1: very tough because the thing is for Hopper be being
- 38:06Speaker 1: a spirit in the dream world, everything just comes natural
- 38:09Speaker 1: to him, so it's very hard for him to explain
- 38:12Speaker 1: to Parent how exactly he needs to do it. But
- 38:15Speaker 1: you begins, but Paren slowly picks up the picks up
- 38:19Speaker 1: the tricks and skills. He learns how to track people
- 38:22Speaker 1: through the dream world. He learns how to shift himself
- 38:24Speaker 1: through the dream world, how to change his shape, and
- 38:28Speaker 1: he's also cautioned against allowing himself to appear too present
- 38:32Speaker 1: in the dream world because that can also because that
- 38:35Speaker 1: could mean losing himself completely to it. Back in the
- 38:39Speaker 1: real world, Galad explains to his now united forces that
- 38:44Speaker 1: White Cloak forces that he plans to travel north to
- 38:48Speaker 1: join the battle, to join the battle against the Dark,
- 38:52Speaker 1: and that also means allying themselves with the ice Todye. Now,
- 38:57Speaker 1: many of the White Cloaks weren't exactly they thrilled about
- 39:00Speaker 1: allying with the witches as they call the isid Eye,
- 39:04Speaker 1: but they all agree that unfortunately, in order to win
- 39:07Speaker 1: the last battle, they're gonna need the Iidai and Chandlers
- 39:10Speaker 1: in general, so they're just gonna have to suck it up. Uh.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Gallax's forces also capture Basil Gill's caravan that was sent
- 39:22Speaker 1: from Parents camp, and that's how they learned that they
- 39:27Speaker 1: that this caravan was a part of Parents army. So
- 39:32Speaker 1: of course no Now knowing that Parents armies nearby, Galas
- 39:37Speaker 1: is pushed by his forces that they need to confront
- 39:40Speaker 1: Parent and capture them. He's been he's especially he's he's
- 39:49Speaker 1: a be seat now what's the what's the word for it.
- 39:56Speaker 1: He's especially beset by his one of his lieutenants, a
- 40:01Speaker 1: guy named Dane Barnhold. He tells Galat that they really
- 40:05Speaker 1: that they should definitely go after Paren because Paren killed
- 40:08Speaker 1: Bornhold's father. Now Borenhold's father was a lord captain in
- 40:13Speaker 1: the White Cloaks, and he did die, but it wasn't
- 40:17Speaker 1: by parents hand. He was killed by the Shan Shan
- 40:20Speaker 1: when the White Cloaks confronted them at Fall, so Paren
- 40:25Speaker 1: had nothing to do with Bornhold's death. But for some reason,
- 40:29Speaker 1: Bornhold holds parent personally responsible, so Gallad decides to confront
- 40:42Speaker 1: parents forces. Paren, still wanting to deny his role as
- 40:47Speaker 1: as the leader of his forces, orders his personal banners
- 40:51Speaker 1: be removed and destroyed. He insists that aside from that,
- 41:01Speaker 1: he's been having trouble with several of his attendants, mainly
- 41:06Speaker 1: more Gasee Queen former Queen more Gasee, as well as
- 41:09Speaker 1: her lover, Talon her, because the two of them continue
- 41:12Speaker 1: to be mooning over each other but they don't do anything.
- 41:16Speaker 1: So he's like, you should both just get married. You
- 41:19Speaker 1: both need to get married, because like we're sick of
- 41:21Speaker 1: seeing you to everyone's sick of seeing you to like
- 41:24Speaker 1: chase each other and nothing gets and nothing gets done,
- 41:27Speaker 1: but more gase refuses and she actually kind of just
- 41:32Speaker 1: takes off for a bit. It's around this time that
- 41:35Speaker 1: the sc that Parents Scouts report that the White Cloak's
- 41:39Speaker 1: army is blocking their way north, so I get a
- 41:54Speaker 1: back in the white Cloaks. Back in the White Cloaks.
- 41:57Speaker 1: Another one of gallads men tells him of parents crimes,
- 42:03Speaker 1: mainly that Parent had murdered two of two white Cloaks
- 42:07Speaker 1: a couple of years back, and his white Cloak. A
- 42:12Speaker 1: man named Bayer tells Gallat that Parent. He believes that
- 42:17Speaker 1: Parent is some form of shadow spawn who brought who
- 42:21Speaker 1: was responsible for bringing the trolocks to the Two Rivers,
- 42:23Speaker 1: which is also why the white Cloaks were pushed out
- 42:26Speaker 1: of the Two Rivers, which is not really the truth,
- 42:30Speaker 1: because the thing is is that the white Cloaks were
- 42:32Speaker 1: pushed out of the Two Rivers by two the people
- 42:35Speaker 1: of the Two Rivers, not just because they were trying
- 42:37Speaker 1: to defend Parrin and support Parent, but also because the
- 42:42Speaker 1: Two Rivers people asked the white Cloaks to help them
- 42:46Speaker 1: fight the trolks. Yeah, and instead of helping them fight,
- 42:52Speaker 1: the white Cloaks just stood aside and just and just watched.
- 42:56Speaker 1: They didn't lift a finger to help the people. They
- 42:58Speaker 1: didn't lift a finger to fight the true They just
- 43:00Speaker 1: sat there and afterwards, you know, and afterwards Parent himself
- 43:05Speaker 1: banished them from the Two Rivers, saying that the deal
- 43:10Speaker 1: was is that I would turn myself over to you
- 43:13Speaker 1: if you help my people, if you fight the trolocks
- 43:17Speaker 1: with us, help fight the trolocks with us. But since
- 43:19Speaker 1: you didn't do that, there's no deal. My surrender toy
- 43:23Speaker 1: was conditional on your help. You didn't help, so get
- 43:26Speaker 1: the fuck out. So that's the thing about the White Cloaks.
- 43:30Speaker 1: I don't like they. They think that they're doing good,
- 43:34Speaker 1: that they're fighting the dark and everything, but really they
- 43:38Speaker 1: just cause more problems than they end up solving. Hell,
- 43:41Speaker 1: when the Shan Shawn attacked Amadisha and kicked the White
- 43:46Speaker 1: Cloaks to the side, the shawn Jan were looking at
- 43:49Speaker 1: them like, please, Your so called questioners are a bunch
- 43:54Speaker 1: of idiots. Our questioners know how to get the truth
- 43:57Speaker 1: out of people, and they know how to do it
- 43:59Speaker 1: without killing them or just constantly accusing them of being
- 44:02Speaker 1: shadow friends t snap. Anyway, The thing is, though, even
- 44:16Speaker 1: the thing is though well Galut agrees to uh to
- 44:21Speaker 1: confront a parent and take him into and bring him
- 44:24Speaker 1: to justice. The thing is is that the White Cloaks
- 44:29Speaker 1: are severely outnumbered by Paris parents forces, but Gallet decides
- 44:36Speaker 1: to use parents own people, the caravan that he captured
- 44:40Speaker 1: against him as a sort of as like a bargaining chip.
- 44:48Speaker 1: And the thing is is that the thing is though
- 44:52Speaker 1: he does, he does realize that he's out, that he's
- 44:54Speaker 1: completely outmatched, because while Parent not only has the larger army,
- 45:00Speaker 1: his army also has channelers, the wise ones and a shaman. Well,
- 45:07Speaker 1: he only has two a shaman with him at the moment,
- 45:09Speaker 1: but still those two can those two alone could easily
- 45:12Speaker 1: wipe out the White Cloaks on their own. Hell, they
- 45:15Speaker 1: even ask him can we do it? Like the when
- 45:17Speaker 1: the shaman find out the White Cloaks are nearby? They
- 45:20Speaker 1: are just like, you want us to take care of it, boss,
- 45:22Speaker 1: We'll take care of it. We're a little worn we're
- 45:24Speaker 1: a little worn out right now, but you know, seven
- 45:26Speaker 1: thousand men and that's we can do it. But Paren
- 45:34Speaker 1: refuses instead, Uh, he refuses, And even though the shaman
- 45:40Speaker 1: ask can they at least go in to rescue the caravan,
- 45:46Speaker 1: he doesn't want. Paren doesn't want another Domai as Well
- 45:50Speaker 1: to happen. We all know how that went. I mean,
- 45:54Speaker 1: it was extremely the the event Domai as Well was
- 45:57Speaker 1: extremely successful because that was when thea Shaman were first
- 46:01Speaker 1: introduced as a fighting force, and they didn't they were
- 46:06Speaker 1: extremely effective, like the Shaun Sean really talk about how
- 46:10Speaker 1: like their Demane are like extremely effective in warfare. D
- 46:15Speaker 1: a Shaman. They they are still a new group, but
- 46:21Speaker 1: they've already proven themselves to be way stronger and more
- 46:25Speaker 1: effective in battle than the than the Demane. Yeah, so
- 46:39Speaker 1: let's see here. So while he's discussing what they what
- 46:48Speaker 1: they are going to do about the White Cloaks, Dane
- 46:52Speaker 1: Bornhall appears requesting formal parlay with uh with Galad and
- 46:59Speaker 1: the leader of Parents and the leader of Parent's forces.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Parent agrees and they they go to meet while uh
- 47:07Speaker 1: So Parent brings with him Tamil thor his shaman Grady,
- 47:14Speaker 1: uh the Aieel Gaul and Sulan and Darah they bring.
- 47:20Speaker 1: He brings them to the meeting. Paren makes a demand
- 47:24Speaker 1: that his people need to be returned, and Galad refuses
- 47:27Speaker 1: unless they meet in battle. Galid is still unsure if
- 47:32Speaker 1: Parent is a shadow spawn, but is convinced that they
- 47:35Speaker 1: need to fight and let me see here, so Paren
- 47:55Speaker 1: refuses any refuses instead and continues to push for some
- 47:59Speaker 1: form of peaceful parlay with the white with the White
- 48:03Speaker 1: Cloaks because he himself does not want to commit his
- 48:06Speaker 1: forces to a drawn out battle against the White Cloaks
- 48:09Speaker 1: and he believes that the White Cloaks can be beneficial
- 48:13Speaker 1: to the coming battle against the Darkness. Later on, Paren
- 48:20Speaker 1: meets with his wife Fayil on a nearby hilktop, where
- 48:23Speaker 1: he blames himself that for his friends capture and he
- 48:28Speaker 1: considers himself a poor leader. She disagrees, She disagrees with him,
- 48:34Speaker 1: but decide but tells him let's not worry about that now.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Instead encourages him to enjoy their night together, considering that
- 48:40Speaker 1: they are it is their one year anniversary, it's been
- 48:43Speaker 1: a year since they got married, and it's while it's
- 48:48Speaker 1: during this that Parent tells her about his history with
- 48:52Speaker 1: the White Cloaks as well as what prompted him, which
- 48:58Speaker 1: of course let which of course includes the killing of
- 49:03Speaker 1: the two White Cloaks, and she even tells him a
- 49:05Speaker 1: little bit about tells him more about what happened in Maldon.
- 49:10Speaker 1: This really brings them closer together as a couple, which
- 49:12Speaker 1: I'm like, oh.
- 49:13Speaker 2: Cute, that is cute.
- 49:19Speaker 1: Back in the Wolf in the wolf tream Parents spies
- 49:22Speaker 1: on the White Cloak camp and continues his training with Hopper,
- 49:26Speaker 1: and it's during their training that he encounters a strange,
- 49:29Speaker 1: translucent violet wall surrounding the area that he that both
- 49:33Speaker 1: his camps are in. Both camps are in. Hopper describes
- 49:38Speaker 1: it as a wrongness, then out of nowhere, it just
- 49:44Speaker 1: suddenly disappears, leaving them leaving him confused on what it does.
- 49:51Speaker 1: He later finds out that this wall. Every if he
- 49:55Speaker 1: touches the wall, it causes him to like feel extreme
- 49:58Speaker 1: weakness and prevent him from moving through it. It's like
- 50:02Speaker 1: a barrier that prevents him from shifting around through the
- 50:06Speaker 1: through the dream world.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Mm hmmm.
- 50:14Speaker 1: Uh. Back in back in the Waking World, Fayeel comes
- 50:24Speaker 1: to a bit of an agreement with Berline to help
- 50:27Speaker 1: end the rumors about her a supposed affair with Parrin,
- 50:33Speaker 1: and Beryline agrees and suggests that they pretend to be friends,
- 50:37Speaker 1: and while Fayel doesn't exactly like that idea because those
- 50:40Speaker 1: two hate each other hell. Fayl even goes so far
- 50:45Speaker 1: as to challenge Beryline to a fight to the death
- 50:47Speaker 1: unless they figure this ship out. But after berylaine suggestion
- 50:53Speaker 1: Fayel reluctantly agrees. So from this point forward, whenever they're
- 50:56Speaker 1: in public together there, whenever they're in public, they act
- 50:59Speaker 1: very buddy buddy with each other, and they don't and
- 51:06Speaker 1: they just act like the best of friends, even though
- 51:09Speaker 1: they're just like they're ready to tear each other's throats out. Okay,
- 51:19Speaker 1: let me, I'm gonna come back to this. I just
- 51:21Speaker 1: need to make a note here, all right, So I'll
- 51:27Speaker 1: leave that there. Let's see here. Sorry, I'm just getting
- 51:47Speaker 1: back to Parents' story. So, uh, back in the waking world. Uh,
- 52:04Speaker 1: going back to parent, Paren continues to receive reports and
- 52:07Speaker 1: decides that probably the best Uh yeah, I can't talk today. Fuck,
- 52:15Speaker 1: there's so much information, Like, there's.
- 52:18Speaker 2: So much information.
- 52:19Speaker 1: I need to go so parent. So Parent is discussing
- 52:22Speaker 1: strategies and figuring out a plan and trying to figure
- 52:26Speaker 1: out a good plan to deal with the White Cloaks.
- 52:28Speaker 1: And it's during this discussion that they talk about, uh,
- 52:35Speaker 1: Camlin and Elaine's now they just received word that Elaine
- 52:39Speaker 1: is now the Queen of and Or. And in that
- 52:44Speaker 1: discussion they talk about of the forsaken Robin and his
- 52:47Speaker 1: impersonation of the Lord Gabriel. The thing is is that
- 52:52Speaker 1: Morgasee is still disguised. Her is still disguised as the
- 52:56Speaker 1: woman as the woman Mike didn't and she's in this discussion.
- 53:00Speaker 1: She's in the tent while they're discussing Robin, and when
- 53:04Speaker 1: she hears it. When she hears Paren confirmed that Robin
- 53:08Speaker 1: was the forsaken, that Gabriel was the forsaken Robin, she
- 53:13Speaker 1: is stunned and like drops her serving tray and like
- 53:22Speaker 1: she has to leave the the she has to leave
- 53:24Speaker 1: the tent because she is completely shocked, like she she
- 53:27Speaker 1: had heard the rumors, but she didn't fully believe it.
- 53:30Speaker 2: Mm hm. And so.
- 53:49Speaker 1: After this Parent this this Parent story continues to go
- 53:52Speaker 1: back between the waking world and the dream world. He
- 53:54Speaker 1: continues his training in the Wolf dream until he actually comes.
- 53:59Speaker 1: He actually still was across Slayer the dream Hunter, and
- 54:05Speaker 1: when Slayer appears, he kills one of the wolves Paren
- 54:08Speaker 1: was training with. And when they when a wolf is
- 54:11Speaker 1: killed in the dream world, they are permanently dead. They
- 54:13Speaker 1: will never reincarnate again, which is which pisses Parent off
- 54:17Speaker 1: to no belief. But the Paren Engagesla the Slayer, but
- 54:22Speaker 1: he almost gets killed and after after his encounter with
- 54:27Speaker 1: a slayer, Parent put uh. Parent pushes Hopper to teach
- 54:32Speaker 1: him more about how to fight in the dream world
- 54:35Speaker 1: because there are some things that that Hopper was reluctant
- 54:38Speaker 1: to teach him, but now that they have the Slayer
- 54:42Speaker 1: to deal with, Parent needs to know how to fight
- 54:45Speaker 1: him because Slayer knows is a better not only knows
- 54:48Speaker 1: how to enter the dream world physically, but he's an
- 54:52Speaker 1: even better dream walker than Parent is. Yeah, more experienced
- 54:57Speaker 1: dream walker, I should say so. Unfortunately, after continuously trying
- 55:07Speaker 1: to get Galat to agree to some form of parlay,
- 55:10Speaker 1: Galad continues to refuse, stating that Paren needs to be
- 55:13Speaker 1: brought to justice for his crimes and blah blah blah
- 55:15Speaker 1: blah blah. Like honestly, like even though, like you know,
- 55:20Speaker 1: the the fucking White Cloaks are a bunch of idiots.
- 55:24Speaker 1: They're st they're fucking assholes, and I hate them to
- 55:26Speaker 1: I hate them so much. Next to the shan Sean,
- 55:29Speaker 1: the the White Cloaks are the ones I hate the
- 55:31Speaker 1: most in this entire story. It's like they remind me
- 55:34Speaker 1: of like they remind me of Crusaders, if like the
- 55:38Speaker 1: Crusaders were, if like the the KKK decided to like
- 55:42Speaker 1: band together to form a crusade.
- 55:45Speaker 2: Yeah and.
- 55:50Speaker 1: So still but like, the one thing I really hate
- 55:54Speaker 1: about them is that they all they seem to think
- 55:55Speaker 1: that their sense of justice, like their roles need, applies everywhere,
- 55:59Speaker 1: and they have a right to enforce their laws and
- 56:02Speaker 1: rules no matter where they go, even though they're not
- 56:05Speaker 1: in Amadisia, which is the only country that they have
- 56:07Speaker 1: any real authority in. So it's just like one of
- 56:13Speaker 1: those things that, like, it just pisses me off because
- 56:15Speaker 1: I think because he thinks that, oh, well, by white
- 56:17Speaker 1: cloak law, you murdered two white cloaks on and Or
- 56:20Speaker 1: and so on and or and soil, I might I
- 56:22Speaker 1: should add, and now you need to be put to death,
- 56:28Speaker 1: plain and simple, and like, well, excuse me, but were
- 56:31Speaker 1: we were in and Or you have no and and
- 56:33Speaker 1: Or has no extradition laws concerning the white cloaks, so
- 56:37Speaker 1: fuck off period. And also those two those two had
- 56:41Speaker 1: it coming, so fuck you. But anyway, Uh, both the
- 56:47Speaker 1: both galats for White Cloaks and Parents' forces square up
- 56:51Speaker 1: against each other. Parent asks the wise ones and the
- 56:55Speaker 1: Shaman to show their full strength without harming the white cloaks,
- 56:58Speaker 1: So basically they just blow up the field between the
- 57:01Speaker 1: two armies to showed them that they mean business and
- 57:05Speaker 1: that Parents forces would obliterate the White Cloaks just so
- 57:10Speaker 1: they can get Gala to agree to one last parlay,
- 57:13Speaker 1: and he does. He brings both Bornehall Buyer and fifty
- 57:17Speaker 1: guards to the pavilion. He's confused. Gallon is further confused
- 57:27Speaker 1: because he's He's convinced that Paren must be a shadow spawn.
- 57:31Speaker 1: But the thing is is that Beryline, who is the
- 57:35Speaker 1: first of mayen Aleandra, who is the Queen of Galdin Fayel,
- 57:40Speaker 1: who is basically the next in line to be the
- 57:42Speaker 1: Queen of Saldaea. Some isid eye, a eel, and two
- 57:47Speaker 1: riversmen all continue to follow him because the thing is Paren.
- 57:52Speaker 1: While he looks like a normal person, his wolf brother
- 57:54Speaker 1: abilities causes eyes to turn into like a bright golden yellow,
- 58:00Speaker 1: So it's not on a wolf those will look normal,
- 58:04Speaker 1: but on a person it looks very weird. But it's
- 58:09Speaker 1: just he thinks the thing is. It's because of that
- 58:12Speaker 1: he must he believed. He's convinced that Parent is a
- 58:14Speaker 1: shadow spawn, but Parent. In the parlay, Parent finally learns
- 58:20Speaker 1: of Galat's name, and they discuss his sister Elaine, because
- 58:25Speaker 1: Paren knows Elaine personally. Paren says also admits that his
- 58:30Speaker 1: killing of the two white Cloaks was provoked by the
- 58:34Speaker 1: death of his friend Hopper. So how so in a
- 58:37Speaker 1: way like he could have played this off more as
- 58:40Speaker 1: like the wolf was my pet, my companion, and your
- 58:45Speaker 1: white cloaks just killed them, and just killed him unprovoked.
- 58:49Speaker 1: They they chased me and another friend, Igwayne, into a ravine,
- 58:56Speaker 1: and they assaulted us and try and unline awfully detained
- 59:01Speaker 1: us without without provocation, without any kind of like any
- 59:08Speaker 1: kind of real reason other than oh, we're white cloaks.
- 59:11Speaker 1: He'll do what I say. But the thing is is
- 59:17Speaker 1: that what parent didn't realize. Parent still doesn't realize that
- 59:22Speaker 1: MiG Din is actually Queen more Gasee, and he brought
- 59:24Speaker 1: her along to as the as his attendant. And while
- 59:27Speaker 1: she's serving tea, Galad takes one look at her and
- 59:29Speaker 1: is like mom. So Morgasee is not Galad's real mother.
- 59:36Speaker 1: She is his stepmother slash adopted mother. So it goes
- 59:43Speaker 1: without saying that. So morgase did take him in, she
- 59:46Speaker 1: did raise him like one of her like her own son,
- 59:49Speaker 1: and she did take care of him. So when she
- 59:52Speaker 1: sees him, when he they see each other. There you know,
- 59:55Speaker 1: it's one big happy reunion. And uh there everyone everyone
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: in parents party is shocked to discover that mag Din
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: is actually the the Queen Morgasee, former Queen of and Or.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: And more.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Gasee, though, does come to parents defense and convinces Gallait
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: to at least hear him out, and Parent agrees to
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: stand trial, but under a fair judgment. So Morgasee is
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: the one who's play, being the only one there with
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: the right qualifications. As Queen decides to stand trial, decides
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: to hold the trial for them as the impartial judge
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: and that the trial will begin in three days, and
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: Paren wants to He wants to approach the trial with
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: a clear conscience. He wants to get finally, just put
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: this matter aside. He doesn't care what the outcome is,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: but he's going to tell the truth. He wants He's
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: just sick and tired. He wants to put this whole
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: thing behind him. He wants to stop the White Cloaks
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: from constantly trying to track him down and kill him.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: And you know, he wants to be able to focus
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: on He wants to be able to focus on the
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: on the future within the Within the next three days,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Parrien does. Back in the dream world, they do re
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: encounter that violent that Violet dome h in his uh
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: in the area again, and we learned that when so
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: we know so to the audience, you'll know what this is.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: That this barrier is being created by a tarangria all
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: called a dream spike. This dream spike was given to
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Grendel by Shaidaharan and Mordan. The dream spike basically creates
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: a barrier in the dream world that prevents dream walkers
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: from moving within that moving through it and into an
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: area that it's protecting. But in the real world, it
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: also causes gateways to fail, so whenever a channeler tries
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: to weave a gateway, the gateway will not activate. So
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: they're basically trapped in that area. I mean, they can
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: still move in the real world. They can still just
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: do it the old fashioned way and walk. But yeah,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: they need but Parent needs his gateways. They pass through
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: the Violet Dome and and they encounter Slayer again. They
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: do fight him, but to no avail. They can't. They're
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: not able to beat him, he's too strong. Parent and
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: Hopper continue to to practice with their power every night
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: until Parent is ready to face slayer, but they're not.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: But for the time being, he's not able to fully
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: confront the slayer. Back in the real world, a bubble
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: of evil causes a bubble of evil causes all the
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: weapons in the can and parents can't to suddenly turn
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: on their owners and attack them. So imagine your own
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: your own boot knife or your own spear just flies
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: out of your hand and then turns it to point
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: at you and just starts coming at you, just like
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: you see a bunch of people running around. There's a
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: bunch of there's just chaos, a bunch of people running
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: around their weapons being just flying at them. Mm hmm.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: But they find out, but they quickly find out that
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: when that when the weapons make contact with the grounds,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: they just the weapons return to normal, they go back,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: they return to being inert, and they stop trying and
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: they stop trying to kill you. And everyone in the
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: camp figures out, Okay, throw dirt on the weapons, on
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: the flying weapons, and when they start doing that, the
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: weapons just stop and just drop to the ground. And unfortunately,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: though even though they're able to stop the weapons. Thousands
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: of people were wounded because of this, and some even died.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: Parent manages to get Gallet to agree to postpone the
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: trial because Gallet also encounters his own little bubble of evil,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: and so the trial is postponed for another few days.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: Parent resumes his training with Hopper, and the thing is
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Hopper suggests that the quickest way for him to learn
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: how to use his abilities is to train in a nightmare,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: because in the dream world sometimes people's nightmares can bleed
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: over into Tell Around Riode. And if you get caught
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: in the nightmare while while in Tell Around Riode, everything
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: that happens in the nightmare can affect you, all right,
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: the fear, the pain, anything that happens, well, you can
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: be affected by it. Uh. While they were training, Parent
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: notices that many wolves are moving are moving through the
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: dream world towards the Dragon Mount, so he and Hopper
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: decide to go as well, and it's there that they
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: he sees he witnesses Rand's epiphany from the last book.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: So when Raan was on the Dragon Mount and he
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: destroys the tod and Call and overcomes his madness, they
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: can see and the wolves all see it until around
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: riote as well, and when this happens, the wolves become
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: The wolves become excited and start celebrating because see, they
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: they instinctively knew that this event was going to happen,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: and if it happened just the right way, then they
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: know that the time has come. The last hunt is
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: here because the wolves themselves will also be fighting in
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: the last battle as well. So we are coming up
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: to we are almost done with Parent's story. Parents trial
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: begins back in the real world. Fayl has prepared two
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: rivers men secretly prepared two rivers men to rescue him
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: of the trial if the trial goes in the wrong direction.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Several of the White Cloaks testify about the night that
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: Parent killed the white Cloaks. Parent agrees that it mostly
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: happened the same way that the man was describing it,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: except the thing is of course fire and embellished it
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: a lot, as do it assholes like these guys do.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: And while he agrees that most of it happened that
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: way he does, he does admit that He decides to
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: tell everyone about his unique abilities, mainly his wolf brother
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: abilities and how he's able to communicate with he's not
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: only able to communicate with wolves, but he is given
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: he does have access to these special abilities like wolf
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: like abilities, the dream walking things like that. And in
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: those days he had just discovered his abilities and had
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: no idea how to use them. And he swears, he
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: swears to Dane Bornhold that he did not kill his
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: father Jaw from Boldham, Jaw from Bornhold at fom it
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: was in fact done by It was in fact done
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: by the Sean Shawn. After hearing the testimonies from both parties,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: Morgaze finds that parent is guilty of killing illegally, which
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: is different. She okay, so let me let me, let
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: me back up a bit. So she does find parent
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: guilty not of murder, but of killing illegally. And there's
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: a difference in here. And here's why. Because in Baiandoran law,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: there are special laws that pertain to pertain to mercenary groups, Okay.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: And the thing is is that by and door in law,
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: they recognize that there are certain laws that recognize the
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: and protect certain activities that mercenaries do. So if mercenaries
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: were hired to defend like a keep or a house
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: or a group, and the mercenaries kill people in the process, right, technically,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: that's considered illegal killing because they were doing it within
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: the line of their duty or what as part of
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: the service that they were hired for. But there are
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: also other laws that do concern them, like if say
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: two separate mercenary groups encounter each other while not being
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: under currently under contract to an individual, if those mercenary
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: groups kill each other, then there is a law that
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: there is a specific law that while it doesn't consider
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: it murder, it is considered illegal killing. So because of this,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: he's not technically guilty of murder, but he was technically
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: guilty of just illegally killing m there's a difference. It
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: was very like honestly, it's a stretch in my opinion.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: But the thing is is that it falls on it
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: does fall under a certain category of self defense. That's
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: the important part. Morgase gives Gallet the right to pass
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: the final sentence because since the White Cloaks were considered mercenaries,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: they are also guilty of illegal killing because they were
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: operating because they themselves have no protection under endoran law.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: They were operating without on endorance, soil without permission. So
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: she gives Gallet the right to pass sentence apparent, and
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: Parent agrees to submit to gal to Gallet's final sentence,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: but not until after the battle because parent is is
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: one of Rand's top generals and he's going to need
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: him for the final battle. So Gallat agrees to those
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: terms and decides to defer parent sentence until a later time.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: So they avoided the sentence that he avoided getting. He
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: avoided the acts, but at least for the time being.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Dame Bornhald, after hearing the tr after listening to parents
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: story and also uh the cooperating stories from the other
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: witness's presence, decides that there's no evidence of parent of
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: parents apparent murder of his father, so he's got. He
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: begins to go through his own existential crisis. Parent began
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: decides to go to the dream world one last time
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: to face Slayer and destroy the dream Spike. UH. He
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: gets some wolves to help him, Unfortunately Slayer does kill
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: most of them. He and Paren do fight, and Parent
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: decides to try to get Slayer to lead him to
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: the dream Spike, and he does. And the thing is
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: is that while he gets the dream Spike, he has
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: no idea how to turn it off, so instead of
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: trying to like escape with instead of trying to destroy it,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: because the dream Spike itself is virtually indestructible, he decides
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: to try to run away with it. But the dream
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: Spike's own barrier prevents him from traveling further than a
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: couple of leagues, so he's able to travel to the
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: very edge of the boundary before before he stops by
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: the barrier. But every time he does this, the barrier
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: moves with him, so he begins this long leagues this
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: long like like game of keep away where he has
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: he's carrying the dream Spike and his force and he's
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: leading Slayer away from that area. So when they move
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: the dream Spike, the barrier is going with them, and
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: thus after a certain point his channelers will be able
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: to open gateways again. The thing about their their little
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: chase is that eventually Paren finds himself at Tarvalon and
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: the two of them began to fight again in Tarblan,
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: trying to get the keep the dream Spike away from
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: each other. Paren While during this fight he encounters Igwayne
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: Soe and Inguadian's little side of the story. She's been
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: dealing with her own ship, which we will get to
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: and it did lead up to a final confrontation between
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: her a group of the Black Asia as well as
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: Masana herself, so we'll get back to them in a second.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: Paren does manage to get the so Paren unfortunately in
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: the in the scuffle in the White Tower, he does
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: get injured by Slayer. And the thing is is that
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: Popper himself also gets hit by one of Slayer's arrows,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: and unfortunately Popper dies and this is a Permit death,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Herma death. So in his rage, Paren does throws himself
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: at Slayer because he realized that in the city there
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: was a nightmare bleeding into telerond Riode, so he throws
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: himself and Slayer into the nightmare. Now, Slayer does not
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: have the same experience as Paren does when it came
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: to his training and using a nightmare, so the Slayer
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: gets completely caught up in the the nightmare and Paren
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: manages to wound him and grabs the dream spike and
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: throws it into a river of lava that appeared in
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: the nightmare. So while Slay is still uh is still
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: so is still much stronger than Paren. Paren flees but
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: just and goes back to Hopper, but and just before
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: witnessing Hopper's death. Hopper tells him to seek out the
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: wolf name Boundless. Uh. Paren wakes up and is healed.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: The dream Spike was destroyed, so most of his army
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: has already traveled away and the thing is going back
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: to Slayer. Slayer reports to Grendel directly and tells him
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: and tells her that the dream Spike was destroyed. Grendel,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: though frustrated, orders him to spring the trap anyway. Mm hmmm,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: because yes, this was a trap. It q general akbar,
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: It's a trap all right. Parrien himself realizes that there
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: that this was definitely some form of trap and that
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: uh there were probably wait and this trap was dependent
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: on both Parent and the White Cloaks forces fighting each other.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: But since that doesn't happen, they're gonna he needs to
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: figure out. He knows that there's going to be a
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: confrontation and decides that he realizes that this that this
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: trap is probably gonna end up uh affecting the White
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Cloaks more than him, because since most of his forces
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: have already been sent away through gateways, the remaining forces
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: that are left are just what he has with him now,
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: and the White Cloaks, and after studying some maps, Parent
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: uh finds that there is there is one excellent place
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: for an ambush right near the White Cloaks camp. Oh. Now,
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: at first some of his allies worry that Parent is
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: the reason why parent is asking about finding an excellent
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: ambush spot for the White Cloaks is she's worried that
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: he's going to attack the White Cloaks. And the reason why,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: the reason why some of them are worried, mainly Beryline,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: is because Berylaine fell in love with gallat h m hmm. Like,
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: the funny thing is that Galad is both Gallet and
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: Beryline are both described as it being incredibly like good looking,
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: Like Beryline has always been described as being a very
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: extravagantly beautiful woman. And then Galad is like that typical
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: heart throb, like you see him and you're just like, oh,
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: he's so gorgeous. And then the two saw each other
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: for the first time, and like you could tell both
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: Galad and Beryline fell head over heels for each other.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: And I'm just like, you know what good for good
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: for them? You know, some somebody needed to rain Berriline's
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: who ass in, and somebody really needed to get galled laid.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: So there you go, like Gallad really just needed to
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: get laid for once. Like honestly, when you if you
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: read these books and you let and you like just
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: look at how Gallad is described in his personality, I'm
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: sure a fair number of view would say, Man, this
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: guy just needs to get laid.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: And it sounds like correct, huh, And it sounds like
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: they would be correct.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: But yeah, anyway, uh, but that's not the case. And
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: while they're preparing to while Parent is getting his forces ready,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: he decides to spend one last night at the forge
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: because at his heart, uh, in his origins, he was
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: originally a blacksmith's apprentice, and every now and then Paren
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: will go to the we'll find the nearest forge and
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: just start working at the anvil, working on metal and stuff.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: As this that's just his escape. He still enjoys being
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: a blacksmith. And the thing is is Paren had lost
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: his old for his old blacksmith hammer, which he'd begun
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: using as a weapon, and he decides to forge himself
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: a new one. And as he's forging. As he's forging
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: his new hamber hamber hammer at the forge, one of
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: the shaman guy named Neild decides to He decides to
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: help him and heats the medal with the one power.
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: And as he's doing this, he Neil starts getting like
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: has a moment of like realization of what he's doing,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: and soon asks the other the wise ones that were
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: near by, as well as some of the I sid
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: I to link with him and and help him with
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: like pouring power into the weapon. And when Parent. When
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: Parent completes his hammer with nei Old and the other
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: channelers pouring power into it, Paren now walks away with
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: a new hammer that he names Mahalanier Mahallan year. It's
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: a I'm gonna put the name in the chat for
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: you because it's kind of hard to pronounce. It's a
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: good name, though, it's good mah alan Near. Oh my god,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: I'm typing it. I typed it in so fucking wrong.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: That is.
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: Hello, there you are. Hello.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: I have no idea what just happened. I was just
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: trying to do. I don't know. I was looking at
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: the name. I was trying to type in the name,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: and then I think my had my phone propped up
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: against my computer here, and it.
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: Was just like it clicked it. It clicked it off.
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: I think it hit escapes.
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: That's why eskiper.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: Escape.
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: Damn, that's funny.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: So that's its name, Mallaigner mahalla, I think that's how
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: you pronounce it, mahalla near, which means it's basically it's
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: Hopper's name in the old tongue, which translates to literally
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: he who soars, so he named uh yeah, he names
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: it after Hopper. M hm. And the thing is about
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: this new hammer is well, yeah, yes, yes. If you
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: were thinking, oh man, this is like a this hammer
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: seems like a weird allegory towards mule near, it is
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: Robert Jordan went there, of course, but instead of being
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: a hammer that shoots lightning, it is a hammer of fire,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: and it is a weapon of power because the old
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: what he had done is he'd woven uh weaves into
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: the metal itself, making it virtually indestructible. And now it's
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: also has an enchanted effect where uh it basically it
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: does like one D ten fire damage. Okay, that's a
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: little D and D shit for the viewers who are
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: like one D ten like what like yes, so whenever
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: he yeah, so now whenever rands ar, I'm sorry, whenever
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: Paren hits somebody with a hammer, it burns them. Oh
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: and he had a little shape of a wolf imprinted
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: onto the side of the hammer, so really tied it
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: all together. It was really nice and sweet. But the
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: thing is is that Neild the Ashaman Niold has now
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: discovered that he has the talent for making weapons of power,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: imbuing metals with uh with waves, making them indestructible and
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: ever sharp. So now Nild is being flocked with soldiers
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: from all over the camp, especially the a Eel, for
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: new indestructible weapons of power. And after Uh after forging
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: uh Malahaignier, Uh mahalein her, I'm gonna get I'll get there.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: I'll get there. After forging Mohale Mahalanier after forging his
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: fire hammer, Uh Parent is now realized now comes to
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: turn with his role as a leader and accepts his leadership.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: H And now that everybody realizes that he's ready to
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: be a leader, they all begein. He accepts their oaths
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: and begins ordering the the banners to be raised back
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: above the camp, especially his own personal wolf head banner.
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: Parent's army does travel to the heights above the White Cloaks, uh,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: and what when the White Cloaks see them, they expect
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: to be ambushed, but just at that moment, an entire
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: army of Trollus and Mirdraw appear and Parry and Parent
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: orders his army to attack them instead. So Parent explains
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: how he figured out how the Shadow, how the Shadow
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: had organized this trap his Basically, they were going to
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: wait for the White Cloaks in the uh and his
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: forces to fight, and they were going to be and
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: then the mir Drawl and Trolocks would have attacked in
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: the in the middle of the chaos. The thing is
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: is that he also figured out that there was a
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: traveling stone right right nearby. So for those of you
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: who forgot traveling uh uh these or I'm sorry, not
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: traveling stone portal stones. These portal stones were created by
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: a civilization even older than the Age of Legends civilization,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: and their purpose was to study the pattern and other
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: basically just it's basically to study the multiverse or realms
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: of possibilities, as the people in the Age of Legends
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: called it. So while the portal stones can be used
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: to travel instantaneously from one point to another, uh, they
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: were mainly used to study the pattern and the multiverse,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: and UH, Paren figured out that the Dark the Dark
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: we're going to be using. UH, We're going to use
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: dread lords who are like Basic, who are like the
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: Black Aja, as well as male channelers who side with
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: the Dark One. UH. They were going to use these
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: guys to begin transporting large numbers of trolocks to and
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: from UH this area, and that's why a huge number
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: of them just appear seem to appear out of nowhere.
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: So Parent's army continues to kill many of the Trollocks,
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: but the White Cloaks lines are beginning to break, so
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: Parent leads a charge down from the heights to rescue
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: the White Cloaks, and it works. UH. In the wake
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: of the battle, Gallad, who was who was thoroughly grateful
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: for being for Parents' aid, decides to name his parents judgment.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: He just orders Parents to pay UH to give payment
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: to the two dead White Cloak families and a promise
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: that to fight well in the last battle, and Parent agrees.
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: The thing is though the White Cloak buyer is not
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: happy with this and and tries to stab Parent in
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: the back, but Borne Hauled surprisingly steps in and kills
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: Bayer instead. So now that that matter has been dealt with,
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: Gallat allows his men to be healed by the Isidai
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: and the wise ones He's he realizes he's starting to
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: like parn and off and offers to take the White
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: Cloaks with him to the last battle, but only if
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: Galat swears to accept parent as his military commander. Gallat
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: is shocked, but agrees to give the oath. Aside from that,
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: Talinver proposes to more Gasee and she accepts Lenny, who
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: is more Gase's nursemaid as well as Elaine's nurse maids.
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: She's like, well, that's about dan time, and she grabs
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: them both by the ear and drags them both to
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: parents to marry them. Paren does agree to marry them
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: and sends him and afterwards sends a mess message to
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: Elaine requesting a meeting. He also requests that Morgayson and
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: Queen Aleandra to go with them so that way they
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: can just of course, more Geese to help smooth things
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: over with the Lane, as well as Aleandra, because well
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: Aleandra is also a queen, so he needs all the
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: help he can get when dealing with Elane. Because the
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: thing is is that Elaine is not really happy with
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: Paren at the moment, mainly because Paren has basically named
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: himself lord over a territory that's still that is technically
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: a part of and Or. And you know how monarchs are,
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: they don't exactly like him when there's another when another
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: person comes in and starts saying like, this is our
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: land now. No. The thing is, though, the people the
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: Two Rivers, the people Two Rivers don't really consider themselves
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: as part of and Or because their their region is
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: so isolated that they first of all, they haven't seen
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: a tax collector from and Or in over one hundred years.
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: And seems like and Or just like Camelin and the
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: greater people of and Or just forgot about them. I mean,
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: like the Two Rivers. They're just like like, we don't care,
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: Like we can take care of ourselves. We got farmlands,
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: we got resources like we don't need. We don't need
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: no queen period. But still, since the people of the
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: Two Rivers named Paren as their lord, Elaine is not
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: exactly happy, so he needs uh sorry, I'm losing my
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: train of thought. Uh, anyway, he needs the others there
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: with him to kind of smooth things over so they
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: can let her know, like he's not trying to like
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: steal her territory, but this is what the people want,
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: so they need to come to like some kind of agreement.
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: They travel to Camlin and Elaine is shocked and elated
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: to see that both her half brother and her mother
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: are still alive, and after trading their stories, Elaine turns
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: her attention to both Fayel and Paren and she is
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: understandably furious with them, but Morgay steps in and defends him,
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: and eventually, eventually they are able to convince her to
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: allow parents to remain in his title because he of
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: course he explains everything that I just told you now
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: that the two Rivers don't really see themselves as Andoran,
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: as people of Andor. But still, since if you were
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: to execute me, if if they were to execute Parrien
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: or depose Paren and return the authority of the crown,
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: so the two Rivers, the two Rivers may end up rebelling,
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: and may end up rebelling either way, so after you know, so,
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: after discussing it, more, Gaze suggests giving the two Rivers
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: to the Dragon and making parent it's steward. So basically
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: what this entitles is that since the Dragon reborn is
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: technically since the Dragon Reborn is the ruler of and
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: Or right now, and Or, tyr Kyne, and Ilian and
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: also our Doman are all under the Dragon Reborn's rule,
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: so while Elaine is the Queen of and Or, she's
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: still under his authority. So as a way of appeasing
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: the Dragon Reborn, because Paren is a childhood friend and
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: as well as securing parents place over the two Rivers
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: as well as ensuring that his family retains their place
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: over the two rivers, Parent is made that is made
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: lord and steward over the two rivers, basically like if
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: the dragon reborn. If the dragon has ever reborn in
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: the future, the two Rivers will be considered his, but
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: until then Parent's family will be the ones that hold
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: stewardship over it. They all agree to this and feel
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: the deal and they begin talking. They become their conversation
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: becomes friendlier and less hostile, and they also begin talking
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: about a potential pack between and Or, Kyrine, Gelding, Mayen,
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: Saldea and the Two Rivers that could rival those of Uh,
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: that could rival those of all the other lands Rand controls,
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: as well as the shaun Shan and Paren does does
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: reunite with Matt and Tom Marilyn. They share some stories.
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: Matt tells him that oh, their assassin's after them, but
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: Parent's like, what else is new? Yeah, and Matt tells
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: him of his own journey that he's going to rescue
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: Morain from the Tower of Genji. And while Matt while
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: Parent offers to go with them, Matt tells him he
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: only needs a gateway from one of parents the Shamans
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: to get there a lot quicker. And from here, let
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: me just double shit, it's Matt. That's Matt's I'm just
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: making sure that believe from here. Yep. That is the
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: end of Parent story. And looks like we're gonna need
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: to wrap things up now because it's already two thirty yea.
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: I believe this will end on this part with a
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: little bit of a good news. Since we only talked
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: about parents story, we still got a lanes Matt's Avienda's
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: rand story as well. To close out parent story, We're
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: actually going to close it out with Grendel, since Grendel
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: was the one it was the Forsaken that was charged
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: with directly dealing with Matt. With Paren, she failed utterly
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: because the trap failed, the dream Spike was destroyed, and
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: now she realizes she's in deep shit. So Grendel tries
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: to flee and go inside further further hiding, blaming her
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: failure on both Slayer and Buyer, who, as it turns out,
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: Buyer was a shadow, was a dark friend working in
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: the hiding in the White Cloaks, But just before she
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: can run away, the the evolved I'm gonna call him
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: an evolved mire drawl there drawl sh Shaidar Haran appears,
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: blaming her for the deaths of not of three of
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: the Chosen, including Masana, who, a little bit of spoilers,
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: was just killed by Agwaine mm hmmm uh. And from
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: here see here, sorry sorry, sorry, Tarwin's Gap, that's what
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: it's called. From here shad Ron gives decides to punish Grendel.
- 1:35:06Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: Her punishment is he rips her soul from her body
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: and places it in a new one.
- 1:35:15Speaker 2: Oh shit, mm hmm.
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: So Grendel, so out of the all the forsaken Landfair
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: was considered to be the most beautiful, like the most like,
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: the most conventionally beautiful person there, and Grendel, in her
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: own way, she was beautiful in that more like, uh,
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: she thick, Yeah, like she thick, and she's always used
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: her her looks to her advantage, like in her time,
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: back in the Age of Legends, like her personality before
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: becoming one of the Forsaken was the complete opposite of
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: what she is now. So she well she was yeah,
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: so in the Age of Legends a little backstorre worry
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: about Grendel. She was a a therapist, a world renowned psychologist.
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: She studied mental mental diseases and disorders, and with her power,
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: she was actually she was an expert at curing mental illnesses,
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: like she knew weaves that allowed her to restore the
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: mind to perfect or to perfect working order. All right,
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: so things like depression, anxiety, other mental disorders like autism,
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: and uh well autism is not really a mental disorder,
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: but it's like, you know, it kind of falls under
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: that category. But like autism, schizophrenia, psychopathy, sociopathy, things, these
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: kind of just like these kind of life like, life
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: altering mental diseases. She was highly skilled at curing them,
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: not just treating them, she could actually cure them. But
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: the thing is is that in the collapse and the
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: dark one's influence began to spread over the world. Grendel
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: realized that nobody will ever be able to live up
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: to her high standard. She used to hold her help.
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: She used to hold herself to a very high standard,
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: living like she always dressed appropriately, she was very formal,
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: she always lived her life the way she believed, and
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: that she always kept herself on a certain like she
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: kept herself on a very high pedestal. But she became
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: very disillusioned with it, or rather she realized that no
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: one will ever be on her level, so why should
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: she hold herself to that level? So instead she decides
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: to flip it. Instead of being very proper and emploised
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: and like, just like high opinion, high value, put a
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: lot of high value in herself, she switched. She switched
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: it around. She went from uh, what's that mega? What's
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: that mega? Church? Church's bastards, a pastor's name, Joel, Joel
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: something Okay, you ever seen that church going wife who's
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: like very like who like you ever see the wife
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: of a pastor? How she's always dressed nice, How she
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: always talks very properly and formally right. She went from that,
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: She went from that to Sercey lanster.
- 1:38:20Speaker 2: Oh shit, okay, damn that to turn.
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: Around, except without the incests. Like she she's just decided
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: to like completely indulge herself in like sex and seduction
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: and like manipulation. Of all the forsaken, she is the
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: strongest uh and most skilled at using compulsion. Like compulsion
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: was her thing. I think, like the best character to
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: compare her as if you've ever watched the anime Soul Eater, Yeah,
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: she was kind of like she was kind of like
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: a rackne Oh, very good, very she was. She had
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: her own network of spies. She was very good at manipulation.
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: But aside from just manipulating people, her compulsions were on
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: a whole nother level. So what shouldar Haran did to
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: her was he ripped her soul out of her body
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: and placed it in a new one. This one, this
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: new body is ugly. She got, Yeah, like it was
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: meant to be. It was meant to punish her because
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: like since she used her looks as part of like
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: her uh as like a weapon or like it's it
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: was like it was also like a part of her pride,
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: a symbol of her pride as well. He took that
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: away from her and put her into a body of
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: oh God, who's a very conventionally who's a very like
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: conventionally ugly person, like we're talking like she looks she
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: looks like this, This the typical wicked witch. Now like
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: ugly warts like misshapen nosed, bad teeth, you know, liver
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: spots all over the place like he did her dirty. Yeah,
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: and parent story does close out here as well, honoring
- 1:40:15Speaker 1: Hopper's final wishes, he does seek out the wolf Boundless
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: uh in the Decaying Wolf Dream because now we get
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: we're starting to see that the Wolf Dream is being
- 1:40:25Speaker 1: affected by the dark One as well, mm hmm. And
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: he realizes that Boundless is actually the other wolf brother
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: Parent met a long time ago, and this wolf brother
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: was the reason why Parent has been so afraid of
- 1:40:39Speaker 1: his own powers, because he encountered a man who, like him,
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: is a wolf brother. It's not it's not Elias, it's
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: some other guy. And this guy had lost himself to
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: his wolf's side. So in the in the human in
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: the real world, this man was completely had become completely
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: feral and acted exactly us like a wolf. So like
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: all this, all of his wolf personalities have completely taken
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: over and the thing is is that he realized, he
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: learns from Boundless who was actually the guy, A guy
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: named noahm Gnoam revealed him that he did not lose
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: himself to the wolf. He'd actually he had actually suffered
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: in life. He was he was being abused, he was
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: being horribly abused by his family, and the only way,
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: the only way that he was ever able to find
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: like balance or peace was by becoming a wolf. So
- 1:41:36Speaker 1: he chose to give himself over to the wolf. He
- 1:41:39Speaker 1: didn't lose himself. So now to answer your question, Devin,
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: no James bought the biscuits. Oh okay uh future Devin
- 1:41:52Speaker 1: cut that part out and this is where parent story
- 1:41:57Speaker 1: ends and we will con see you next with We
- 1:42:01Speaker 1: will continue next with.
- 1:42:04Speaker 2: Everybody else.
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: Everyone else because they're still Matt Aveanda. Avanda's story is
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: pretty short because it kind of just cuts in and
- 1:42:10Speaker 1: out with her h Elaine. Elaine's story kind of goes
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: and goes hand in hand with Matt mm HM as
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: well as rand rand story was pretty good. I'm not
- 1:42:23Speaker 1: gonna lie, but other than that, h do you think
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: we'll make this into a two part or I'll try
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: to get through the others like a lot quicker next
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: next week.
- 1:42:45Speaker 2: Yeah, we can do a two parts, but if for
- 1:42:47Speaker 2: whatever reason we need to make a three, that's not
- 1:42:49Speaker 2: that's not that big of a deal. But it's it's
- 1:42:52Speaker 2: fun if we make them. Last two books are the
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: most extensive, so they have to go a little longer.
- 1:42:56Speaker 2: That's no big deal. I don't care.
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, well that was it for par and story.
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: We will continue on. We'll just go ahead and jump
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: straight into Matt's story and I'll try to get through
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: that one quicker because I fucking hate Matt. I don't
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: like this character. But his story was pretty his story
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: was pretty short.
- 1:43:19Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, we should be fine. If not, again,
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: that's fine. Well may get three parts. But anyway, thank
- 1:43:27Speaker 2: you all for listening today's episode. Catch us next time.
- 1:43:29Speaker 2: As we continue on through we all a time book thirteen,
- 1:43:32Speaker 2: which is called the.
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: Towers of Midnight, Tower of Minute. Yeah towers, he doesn't.
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: I should know this. I should know this. I should
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: know this. It's Towers of Midnight, Yes, towers? Yeah, okay, cool? Yeah,
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: bank it
