- 0:00[SPEAKER_02]: Hello and welcome back to your one and only source.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_02]: We are your hosts.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_02]: My name is Phoebe.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_02]: My name is Caroline and today we are going to be talking about freaking everything.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_02]: You guys it's a pop cast.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_02]: I know you've missed it.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_02]: We have been Phoebe has been all over the globe.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: It feels and by that I mean Nashville and Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_01]: Guys that is the number one
- 0:28[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm actually worse than it is for a Charleston went without actually bite out of it doesn't a Pittsburgh is way worse because you're not going Charleston.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not even comparable.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: It is literally not even comparable because even though the Charleston trip is longer
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: it doesn't feel as this feels like the way I've been describing it this week is like it defies all law of time and space.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, like 10 miles feels like you've gone 100 miles and it will say that you have four and a half hours left of your drive four or four and a half hours it feels like I don't like it is
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it is the worst drive on earth, but I did find, and I've actually had this corroborated by someone else who randomly did that drive.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: I was talking to my friends of Anna.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: She's done that drive before and she was like, it is.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_01]: Like, she was like, we had to pull over in Ohio because I started like seeing morages.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing about Ohio.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: No, I know.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's the thing about it.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you will, it because it is so straight and so flam and so boring.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: And it's dangerous to drive like that when you're just now.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing worse than a boring long time.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what Ohio is.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: And Ohio goes on forever.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: And then when you get the thing is, is that the drive to Nashville is a little bit better than the drive to Pittsburgh because Ohio is the last thing you do, your drive to Pittsburgh.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like you've already done four and a half hours.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: And then you have to keep driving through Ohio.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: But the thing about driving down here is that you hit Cincinnati
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: the rest of this will fly by.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_01]: And then it doesn't.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_01]: And then it's like it takes for like Louisville suddenly a hundred miles farther than it has ever been.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: Bullying green as farther from Nashville than has ever been.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_02]: And really clearly like can we just talk about Louisville like I will avoid saying that word at all costs.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_02]: Because God forbid, I mean, if you don't sound like you have a mouth full of
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's what they say in Wisconsin.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_02]: Kentucky, you say you have a mouthful of whiskey.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like it.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like saying it.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's really intimidating when somebody says it to me.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, okay, you're challenging me.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_02]: You want to know if I can pronounce in the answer as I can and I won't.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_02]: And I won't.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: But so they're bad.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: So I did the drive and it's I like here's my formal and public apology to Mimi.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't such about me with the entire drive and I was like first one got my period.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: I was so tired.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, congrats.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, what was your first period?
- 3:12[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: You finally, finally, if you were to get it.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_02]: We've been like, we've been like, when is she going to start her bleed?
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like, she ever, is she ever going to, like, hit, pit, puberty, like, get a girl's skirt, like, by the way, nice jogs.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_02]: She's the scariest.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, so I, okay, so was that, like, you obviously weren't prepared.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: Shut up.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, I got them.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: So I was just like in a bad mood that day.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: I was I was I thought that yeah, and I wasn't even doing this lot thing where she choose gum and pup like what she's never really done before and I I sometimes it just I can't believe it's just so I'm here.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm hearing of this.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's not unlike me.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like a gum girl
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: No, but it's like, and I, I listen, I'm just going to tell you, you chew gum like a crazy person.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm saying this out of love because I know that you hate how certain people chew their gum.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_02]: The guys, does this feel like it was out of love or like a direct attack on me?
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I just, I just know that you don't like it.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_02]: And so,
- 4:27[SPEAKER_02]: I was, I say not as I do.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, do not chew gum around me.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gum, huh?
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: So, so that okay.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: So, so the truth comes out because I've had that lunch with Phoebe on this day that she's talking about her horrible mood.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_02]: She was in all the shit and I sit down at lunch and I'm like, I immediately clocked at the energy as off and I'm like, oh god, like you guys have to drive with Phoebe's like in a bad mood.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: If he was like, what?
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: Phoebe literally looks
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: you were in about okay so you but nevertheless a bad mood he will yeah but I what the thing is I'm not a party you were on it is I showed up at lunch chewing gum and how long did I really have the gum on our mouth because we started eating food and totally got the food
- 5:19[SPEAKER_02]: Which I couldn't believe.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god, why didn't you just say something?
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: Because it would have caused a huge massive blow.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_02]: You're saying something now.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_02]: I know we're fighting on this.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: This is like fun.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: This is fun.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, oh, I didn't realize we were having fun.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: It wouldn't have been fun at lunch.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: Well, because you were in a bad mood.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_02]: And so I wasn't, I was, and now we've set it.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_02]: And now we've set it.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she could.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: It would have been like, I would have been like two over stimulated, I think, to fight.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, anyway, I knew I wasn't in the car.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't in a bad mood with Mimi.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: I was just in that's true a bad mood And so you're just in a bad mood.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of like, okay Mimi's not exempt because you're not in a bad mood to meet me like Sorry that was such a terrible drive and she was like
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: I enjoyed it.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, you did.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: I made you just in care like crazy shit.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: She got out of the car and you were like, oh my god, she wet her pants because she was so scared of me the whole drive.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_02]: She's like, no, I had a lot of fun.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: She can't afford to get it out.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, she had to listen to my podcast.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: So we did listen to a couple of fun episodes with last class as an hour podcast.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: No, my podcasts that I listen to.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_01]: And then we listen to not have been fun.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: Then we listen to some show tunes.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: What show tunes?
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: We're just my playlist.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: And then we listen to like the name of us, Renaissance and cowboy Carter, because I know she likes that.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, like that was big appeal.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: The thing is is that those albums do like, they're so long, but the songs like it goes, but that's another thing.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: It's like when we drove from Nashville to Charleston, we did that and it like,
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: two hours flew by just some guys not on the show tunes are the secret sauce for a road trip like there's something about it like they'll keep you awake because thing is why there's a story being told well the thing is is that it normally does but I was I got stage fright so I wasn't performing in front of me me which normally is what keeps me awake you got stage fright in front of me me another well I like don't sing in front of me me like that
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, you, anyway, you're not out.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, a joke that I kind of put a me either a trick that I came up with not I did not that I came up with but something that I realized that does help me get through Ohio as I do just have to drink So I'll see us.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_02]: I do just have to drink something that gets me through Ohio is I have to drink
- 7:49[SPEAKER_02]: Celsius.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_02]: And you are not the first person who said that.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's, um, what flavor Celsius did you drink?
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: I just, like, whatever looks familiar from college.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, in college, I was drinking it like it was regular soda.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_01]: I can't relate.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: Right, but we would, does remind me of there was a, I think I've told the story before there was a week in college, there are a couple weeks in college where I started buying Cold brew in a bottle like the Starbucks cold brew from Target, so that I didn't have to go buy cold brew down the street.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't have spent seven dollars a day to get my cold in my own milk.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: And halfway through the week, Shelby my boss was like, you were like full of energy this week, and I'm just like, it's my cold brew.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: And she was like, oh, they what cold brew are you drinking?
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: And so I don't remember how we figured it out, but I realized that I was drinking, I wasn't diluting it.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_01]: And I would drink, I would go to Target every weekend by like four models of it.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: And how did it taste and how am I the one with kidney stones it tasted like it tasted like what I thought it was supposed to taste this is good to know Yeah, okay, so I can just drink the concentrate and it won't taste any different, but it will get me buzzing Yeah, I was teaming that whole week, but anyway, so that's kind of what I was like oh if I just chug a Celsius halfway through Ohio It like gives me a jolt
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: That reminds me of, and I probably told this story, but when I was in forensics and elementary school, which guys, fun fact forensics doesn't mean what your race to believe it means.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: When your race to believe it means public speaking, and then you find out that action means crime scene investigations, that's kind of crazy.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_02]: That's kind of a, well, I had the op moment.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_01]: I had the opposite.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: William, William, when Mom said she was in charge of the forensics club,
- 9:46[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know for insects investigators carry guns, but I imagine this is America after all, just kidding.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I remember one day I went to Pizza Lunch and Pizza Lunch was a phenomenon where if you went to elementary school at the elementary school, we went to there is this little street, which since then has had such a facelift, but even at the time.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: I was something to my teeth that I have to get out of my teeth.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's bothering me.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, six uses.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_02]: This street you could go get like a slice of pizza.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_02]: You could go to sushi three R.I.P.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_02]: we used to love sushi there.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: We get the chicken cats say with the chicken teriyaki sauce.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, so good, but you could go and you could go to scoops the ice cream shop and if you were in like third grade or above, you could go to pizza lunch.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: during lunch, which actually feels way too young, but anyway, and I went, and I don't know like what possessed me to do this.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how I made this decision.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's all a blur, but I did end up drinking like a monster energy drink.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_02]: And fifth grade, and then I went to Forensics after school, and I did a lot of character for Caroline.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not like a little
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: would have been like scared of the camp.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I like knew.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, but also I was telling Mimi about pizza lunch.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I was showing her round.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, yeah, like the elementary schoolers would like come up here when we were watching it.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: Like, she was like, wait, fourth and fifth graders.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, yeah, at one point, third grade, right?
- 11:22[SPEAKER_01]: Like, but it's so crazy.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: I know that it is like it's crazy.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: But like, I do think elementary schoolers should be doing that.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they are.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_01]: They're just not doing it.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm third grade anymore.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: No, I know, but I think that at more places.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that's like, like, my oven is pretty rare that that would happen.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, no one trusts kids in front of me.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's really good for kids.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_02]: And especially these days kids, like, No, but that's why they got to do it.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: They need to go do that kind of stuff.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, you guys need to go to pizza lunch, you just do all of you kids who are listening to this podcast get out and go to pizza lunch.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, go take five dollars out of your own first and get the heck to pizza lunch.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_02]: And that's how much you used to cost by the way.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, five bucks.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_02]: Now, let's try it like.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_02]: 20.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, so I drank this monster energy drink and then I went to Forensics and I did my piece and I remember that the it wasn't our mom doing it at the time and someone else and she was like wow Caroline like they were like it was so good today like this but I don't know what was going on like you were just
- 12:23[SPEAKER_02]: on it and like I got so much good feedback.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_02]: I was so excited and they would like write the feedback down as they watched your piece and I went home and I was like, Mom, like, oh my god, like I'm a star, like my feedback.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my mom's like, when I was like, I think as my monster energy drink, mom was like, excuse me?
- 12:39[SPEAKER_02]: you drink a what Caroline man said I think it was the line of coke I did before I'm literally like it was treated the same way I was a villain I used for this energy jinxious like never do that again and granted it was probably the first time I like had like a big amount of caffeine I mean I was a diet coke girl from a young age but like
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: Famous Caroline when when our and our child of babysitter and babysat Caroline for the first time Caroline tried to swindle her.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_02]: I had some trace of my sleeve.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: Like a what?
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: Caroline was like babysitter.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_01]: No rules.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: Mischief is about to be managed.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_02]: Literally, I don't remember this obvious because I was like five, I mean, I was like five years old and she's putting me to bed and I was like, I just, oh, my stomach hurts so bad, my stomach hurts so bad and I, I know what'll fix it is a diet coke.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: And my babysitter's like, okay, well, no, like, you can't, and I was like, okay, and so then she leaves and then I'm like, I started a new thing.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think I was like, I missed my mom and like, she would want me to have a diet, and that was my next thing, and then it was like, I can't sleep.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: I know what'll put me to sleep, but to diet coke.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_02]: And I just kept trying.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: And so for years, I was like, okay, I know a diet coke girl.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I know what happened.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: Kera Diet Coke, the brand, the can and the kitchen had a one-wish willow and they snapped it and they said I want Caroline Connell to love me more than anything else in this world is this the bottom of session and so Caroline has to come up with all sorts of reasons why she would get to Diet Coke
- 14:14[SPEAKER_02]: and girl I did, and girl I did.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't get the diet coke that night, but trust I've had plenty.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, well let's talk about more family business and some of that is that I painted my new podcast studio and my entire body hurts.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I was run over by a train.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_02]: I painted it this color called Perfect Pout and it's kind of like the color of my microphone thing.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_02]: it's like a hot, reddish, bearish pink.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, and I was like, I mean, my inspiration and I definitely have said this, it's Miss Hannigan's room in Andy the movie, the Carol Burnett version.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's giving
- 15:00[SPEAKER_01]: um Molly's room.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: I was getting there.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's also inspired by Molly slash Britney Murphy's apartment before she is evicted in uptown girls and it's also giving just like kickcat club old school Hollywood Broadway dressing room.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, that's the vibe and a lot of these pictures I was looking at it was like deep pink burgundy's reds, whatever.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: So he did it and then you know I put a poll in the story and asked you guys if I should color Grench the room and most of you said yes and those of you who said no You're on a watch list now, but I did color Grench the room and holy moly Lot of work a lot of work to paint a ceiling Didn't also think about the fact that I would get paint in my eyes.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the thing about me
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: I am type B to my core, and some people are surprised by this, but not people who know me well.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_02]: And I didn't like, I had like one drop cloth that I didn't move all the furniture out of the room.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_02]: I just moved it all over the center of the room.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_02]: And then I moved the drop cloth like around the perimeter of the room as I was going.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, I'm not using painters tape, fuck it.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm painting the trim of the room, this bright fucking pink.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_02]: And then I was like, I'm not going to like,
- 16:11[SPEAKER_02]: do the things that someone would do like maybe I wouldn't even wear like safety goggles if I was painting the ceiling like that might be something someone would do.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_02]: But no, and then I'm like on the step bother painting the ceiling I'm like, oh, I just keep painting this painting my eyes and I was like, I'm a little bit like,
- 16:26[SPEAKER_02]: where you wiping the brush, the roller off, I believe it shouldn't have been dripping.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Phoebe, you don't know anything about painting obviously, because when I painted my bedroom, the perfect color by the way, that bedroom and honestly much bigger room and much less like,
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: just turmoil and stress, but I got splattered like when you're painting also my all my walls are like plastered like uneven so as I'm painting which is a sign of wealth by the way everybody.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's a sign of wealth if you're wondering that's what they say.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_02]: splattered on me and so Kelly and I were both covered and liked this pain.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: So like that's just like a thing that happens when you're painting.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_02]: It just happens.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, it wasn't taking age or eight.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_02]: I was barely using a drop cloth.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_02]: You think I was taking a dripping wet roller and moving it on my hardwood floors.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_02]: I had a little bit of sense.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: But then I was like, wait, I can't be going blind on doing this.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_02]: This cannot be the reason that I go blind.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_02]: So then I just say, oh, I do, I do have this extendo arm for the paint roller.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_02]: Why don't I just use that and be on the ground?
- 17:31[SPEAKER_02]: I thought I'm not as close to the paint that's being splatter.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: But I do have like, like, this one gorgeous spot.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my neck, that will never come off.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_02]: My hands are covered in it.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_02]: And then I went in today and I was like, I opened the door.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_02]: like it is a lot.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's kind of an intense room.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_02]: I would say I would describe it as kind of an intense room.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm comparing the color to this color, but it is kind of like this.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of like the when people would come over to our house when when the bathroom downstairs was painted orange.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I knew we were going to bring up that fucking bathroom.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: And they'd open the door.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like just not expect it.
- 18:11[UNKNOWN]: Oh,
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: Who picked this color?
- 18:14[SPEAKER_02]: Why is it bright orange?
- 18:15[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, why is it, why is it traffic cone orange in here?
- 18:18[SPEAKER_02]: And we're like, well, it's really wanted.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's Lily's favorite color, I guess.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_02]: Apparently, and Mom and I were like, well, he will allow this.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_02]: And now it's a different color.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_02]: But like, well, now imagine that, but it's also on the ceiling.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_02]: And it's on all the trim.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's not, it's also not that color.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: But it's not, it's just, I just mean good color.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_02]: I just mean in the sense of like opening the door and like, yeah, yeah, yeah, and I also like I want to know that there's a glow that emanates underneath the door.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_02]: So as I'm looking at the door from the hallway, I can see the glow of like hell of actual hell is what it feels like and I know that and then I also learned something.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_02]: I'm talking to mom on the phone today.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, God, like, I suck at painting, like I suck, like there's so many spots and I'm like, fuck my life.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: And like, I got home from a show last night, pretty late, and I did a second go on everything, which I needed to do, but now I need to go, like, you know, touch it all up in whatever.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_02]: And she goes, oh, well, like, red is the hardest paint to paint.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's the hardest colored paint.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like,
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: Did they paint our dining room themselves?
- 19:17[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think when it was red?
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: I do think they did.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_02]: But also those aren't plaster walls.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, a little bit different.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like the other thing is like you can paint as many coats as you want on a plaster wall.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: You're still going to have to get in there with the brush and staple the fuck out of it.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: Because they're all these little white spots that start poking out.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_02]: So the walls are textured.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_02]: And then it's like, well, if I do that, then I walk away.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like now there's a patch of like an uneven like this has more paint on it.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_02]: Just like ask why.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: Because like I had my walls in here at plaster and I'm like, what, what is the decision?
- 19:49[SPEAKER_01]: Cause I also like old buildings thinking of like the pattern, like whoever did the plaster in here, it's like stars.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, okay, so who made that design decision?
- 19:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think it's old buildings.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_02]: And because I think it's, it's very sturdy.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of like rentals, like, like, but a lot of Mount Lebanon homes have it, plaster walls.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: Because you know what I'm doing?
- 20:12[SPEAKER_02]: There are really old houses.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_02]: The thing is you can't really put nails in them either, which sucks as it will crumble.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_02]: So I have this heavy ass shit to hang all over the house and like nervous to do it.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't care when I was in a rental, but now I'm like, hmm, this is my house.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: I learned in Charleston that they would, like, there's a house that was made of brick and then plastered with like oyster shells, they would, like pulverized oyster shells.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_01]: And then they plastered it and there was a really big fire one time and the only reason this house survived is because it wasn't built of wood.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: It was built of brick and oyster plaster.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: Holy shit.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_01]: It was just for sale.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: I like just thought to talk about it was crazy house.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: Well, anyway, I do think the studio is going to end up looking cool.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to get some curtains in there, which is going to really come from the living room, too.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: Like you were worried about that color and then you feel very worried about that.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_01]: And then once you get curtains and you start covering like I imagine you're going to cover most of the walls with.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_01]: art and stuff.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I have like my Gaga art piece to hang.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_02]: I have to figure out where I want my vanity because I will also be where I record.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_02]: And like I got to get rid of the green couch obviously.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_02]: It looks terrible in there.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_02]: I think I'm going to do a leopard print rug.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to change the light texture, which mom texted me.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_02]: You did it.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: Keep that.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: Don't get rid of it.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_01]: Keep it.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I'll take your from you.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'll pay for it.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: But you can buy it.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just getting on.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_02]: There might be a place for it in the house.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I'm a fan.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_02]: I can put it because my house have your shams.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: Can I have your shams?
- 21:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if I even have them.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I saw them when I was there.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I should have asked for them when I because I.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: Because yesterday I just, I went to Target.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's so, because you guys will be in I famously at the same competitor.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's so easy to spend $200 a target.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, get, get $200.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_02]: So you have spent $400.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_01]: Get to the cash register and be like, oh, I'm going to let it play a minute.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_02]: Let me put in my target circle where it worked.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, did nothing.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_02]: Did not.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think can we, can we work on?
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: Let's do it.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_02]: That is the, why do I put my phone number in every time?
- 22:14[SPEAKER_02]: Let's the point of it.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_02]: I can still get the discounts.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_02]: The things are already marked down.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't change.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_02]: the price because I have targets are.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: Why can't you be like any other store where I get points?
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for every dollar.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like they just had a thing that was like if you spend a hundred.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes it would be good.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_02]: In this time period, we'll give you a 20 dollar gift card in girl.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_02]: You know I did.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_02]: So I do have a 20 dollar gift card there now.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_02]: So now I'm like, now I got to go spend another $200.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: There.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_02]: And it'll be like I spent a hundred and eighty.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: But I went to go buy another set of those flower pillow cases because I just don't have like
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: When I change my sheets, the pillow cases for the other sheets don't work, so I had to buy those, but then I'm like, but I'm in need to wash these shams because I'm also sleeping on those, but I like the way that looks so anyway, I would like your shams.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_02]: You can have mine, um, yeah, because I do have to get new bed and got the number of things.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just like, I just every time I finish something for the home and I haven't finished a single thing.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_02]: But every time I like check something off my to do list, it's like the to do list just multiplies in so many ways.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, this is good for me to see because.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: You just moved and Breck and just moved so I didn't even want to move.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: No, you know, at first I was like like after being in yours new spaces.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_01]: I've like made me be like do I want to change in scenery because there are things that I definitely And ready to leave about this apartment.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, except for the amount right like the apartment is great is just like and I want to go see a place yesterday
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: And it has a dishwasher and laundry machine and a beautiful deck, but everything else about it.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just like, why the gray floors, like, why gray gray, gray everywhere territory.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_02]: I just But one thing about you is like, rugs and make a huge difference.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, a lot of art.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_02]: So like, all that I thought that every single wall in my old place was gray.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: But they didn't really feel like that.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but you also had like the wood, I think it's it's one thing when it's gray and you have like a different colored floor, but when it's when they put in like the plastic gray hard wood, it's like a large gray.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, like I was like I won't buy a house that has that vinyl flooring at any color terrible It has to have hardwood and I don't care.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's a hardwood is an imperfect condition It just like and I love the hard and like if you weren't if you on the hardwood in our house before just It looked weird.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_01]: You feel better now.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it looks great.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I am on my house.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm seeing a place to Morrow that has wood floors in no dishwasher and it's like am I going to the thing about living in a place like Nashville
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's a trade off.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: I might have to have.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we have to decide like what you're willing to live with.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_02]: Like, there are some things.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, I'm living without a dishwasher now.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, well, exactly.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_02]: You're not really going to notice.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, it's like a relationship, you know, we always say this when you're in a relationship.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_02]: You sort of learn the things that you will and will not tolerate.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_02]: And the things that you apps like the things that are genuinely deal breakers.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you might not have thought that this thing really bothered you and then you date someone and you're like,
- 25:23[SPEAKER_02]: is X, Y and Z.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_02]: So it's the same as like apartments and homes.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, Oh, why I'm being smart and I'm going to keep looking at places so I can find a place that I really love.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're like, before they're like, do you know you have five minutes to freaking get lost?
- 25:39[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's a kick rocks.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: Do you know you have 15 minutes?
- 25:42[SPEAKER_02]: Um, okay, so anyway, the podcast studio, it will be cool, but mom DMed me and texted me saying she thinks I need to do a leopard print rug in that room, which is just like so cute.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but that's going to happen a long time from now.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_02]: So like, it's not like, I don't, I'm not going to like knock at the leopard print rug in the studio because I want to do that.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I have to figure out curtains.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I think once there are curtains, a rug and the furniture is spread out and like against the walls, I will feel like it's a lot different.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: And I honestly think the green picture.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_02]: I honestly think the green.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, mom and Lily, this morning when we were face timing, they were like, oh, and that looks really good.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, the definitely keep the couch.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_01]: We got to get like okay I was kind of thinking about it and now I realize it has got to go we got to get you like those like long floor lamps that have like the really like the old like vintage shade.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: Urban Outfitters sells them and they have one that's a leopard print shade with like the tassels and like the it's it's perfect.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: I know I think I'm going to get 100 lamps for that room.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_02]: I know I'm going to do something simple on the ceiling.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to get rid of the monstrosity that's up there.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's a ceiling fan and I do love having a ceiling fan, but.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_02]: But they do make ceiling fins that are kind of hidden.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I'll do one of those.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_02]: But I just need something up there.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: But then it's going to be like a lamp room for sure.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: And it's there's going to be a lot of like that's another thing about about I'm going to have to learn about touring places is like
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: They're putting the overhead lights on, but that is not how it's gonna look when you know.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_02]: And also another thing you remember is like, my house, my living room is no lights in it.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: And when we would go to our dormitory in the day, it has so much natural light that we were like, oh my god, and then like, I was like, oh fuck, like a nighttime, like even these two lamps, I currently have like, it's not enough, because also the ceilings are really high.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_02]: So if I also learned, I have to get like a taller floor lamp, because the floor end that I have seems like it's in a doorhouse, like it doesn't seem like it's meant for this room.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: So just I'm learning all these things and it's fun.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's a process and you guys will keep hearing about it, of course.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_02]: Do you have any other family business you want to talk about?
- 27:56[SPEAKER_02]: I have one thing, which is that Taylor Frankie Paul liked.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_02]: I ticked talk about her this morning.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think she was offended?
- 28:03[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't think she gets offended.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_01]: You don't think that's in her catalog of feelings.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think she gets offended by maybe the wrong things.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like, she gets offended to the end degree and it's like, wait, Garlie, there are other things we should be mad about.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_02]: I, I, I made a take out that was like, and no one is talking about how hard it is to not post like Taylor Frankie Paul when people are testing you because I see her post and I'm like, is this also like, what is that?
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: Her liking it.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, what's in her drafts?
- 28:31[SPEAKER_02]: like what has she not posted let me in there let me Taylor Frankie Paul you may never get a new phone because you know when you get a new phone you lose all your dress you can never get a new phone no I'm like what yeah what what is not made the cut these are the things that we're seeing are the things that she felt like we're appropriate for the feet what is behind the clothes door you know
- 28:51[SPEAKER_02]: No, I posted that and then I was like, and I didn't tag her anything, but you know she found it.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: You know she found it has a thousand views.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_02]: She found it.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_02]: And like, and I was like, she's either like, you miss like, and fuck you or she's like, you know, like, and yeah, now somebody got set.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like, but I'm like, it gets probably that.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_02]: I am kind of like, I'm making fun of the way that she posts because I don't think anybody needs to be posting that way, especially not somebody with like three kids and, you know, a deal with ABC.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's that around like maybe maybe we could put our finger on the draft button more often.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_01]: Of two things, if you may business one, I just had an idea for something Anthony could maybe get me for my birthday or for Christmas.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: Already thinking about that?
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I want this
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: But I want this to be a pickle ball, and I want this to be a pickle ball, racket, or paddle like his wiffle ball hat that he has.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_01]: What the game is, okay?
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so what I want.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_01]: And then the second thing is just the congratulations to Sam and Tommy McLean.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: They are married.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_01]: Did she take his last name?
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, Instagram changed.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_01]: There were two people from my high school that got married to their childhood sweetheart, that weekend, and they both, it's weird seeing their Instagram handles be something different.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: And it's also like I kind of felt like your Instagram handle was always that I kind of felt like I was always your last name, you know what I mean, like just because they've been together forever.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: Well, congrats.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_01]: They're essentially a mom to mom marriages.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I guess we talked about it a bit on the last episode.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_02]: I gave it an amazing how we did talk plenty about your speech.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: I can't God.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody let Phoebe give a wedding speech for another five years.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_02]: I just can't handle it.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_02]: Can't handle frickin' here and about it.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm hoping I get to make one next year.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_02]: Can't me.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_02]: But Tammy's like, and I think I just have seen a couple of her speeches and like, they kind of suck.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_02]: They kind of suck.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_02]: They're kind of crazy.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_02]: And she really wait so last minute and then she never shuts up about it afterwards.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, this is about me, not you.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, she's going to steal all the attention on my day.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_02]: Um, all right, well, so we've, we've covered some family business.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get into other people's business.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_02]: First up, Alex Cooper pregnant did not see this coming, but yeah, it's giving, with the rumors about her a map.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_01]: But it was for also like there are two pregnant for this to be true, but part of me is like, is this them, is this like a beyond moving away?
- 31:18[SPEAKER_02]: What I'm wondering is like, I'm like, hey, Alex.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_02]: No one ever had to say anything.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: Like you just got on TikTok one day or Instagram stories and you made this video and you started this entire shit storm.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_02]: Alex Earl actually really hasn't said anything and she was on a good morning America or something and they asked her about it and she was like we're just like having a fun day like it's good vibes like I don't really want to talk about like bad vibes and they were like okay so it is bad vibes just like no I love everybody it's exaggerated and she just like wouldn't go into it
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: And that's, like, that bothers me more than Alex's video.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just like, dude, like, no, Alex's video didn't bother me.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just saying, like, like, all, it's, it's backfired on Alex Cooper.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_02]: Because all of the bad press that she's now getting and all the rumors about her.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not doing well.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_02]: None of that would be happening if she just had not made that video.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like, this wasn't no one was talking about it.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 32:15[SPEAKER_02]: You're like,
- 32:16[SPEAKER_02]: We were but then now we're not so it's just like she brought it back up and now so I just think that's like kind of Funny but I did not expect I also was just thinking I was like I kind of wonder if they're ever gonna have kids because she's so Business oriented it just didn't like not that you can't have a child, but it just I didn't feel like it To me I didn't know was on her radar and I'm very happy for them But it is like and it's kind of a crazy bombshell announcement to make given
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: just what's going on, but what were you gonna say about it?
- 32:50[SPEAKER_01]: When I think congratulations, I just, I'm more like Alex Cooper or Alex Earl, like, speak off.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like, she was, she, I know Alex Cooper made the video, and I understand what you're saying about the press, but to me, I'm like, oh, you've been teasing this for what feels like it.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, it's like,
- 33:09[SPEAKER_02]: Well, the test point could not say anything at this point.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_02]: If you say something, it's like, okay, we're going to take you to get together.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like, yeah, and I do wonder if she's saving it.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_02]: I wonder if it's going to, if we're going to see a lot of it on the her like reality show.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's coming out.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_01]: I know we talked about that.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_01]: I also was wondering if it's like going to be like a spread, but it's like,
- 33:28[SPEAKER_02]: At this point, the talk feels like like we could maybe watch like the drama unfolding on the reality show and now it makes sense to me, but like at this point if she were to do a spread, I'd be like this took way too long.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so this is other people's business, but not a famous person yet or maybe they are and I just don't know I was driving to a show last night.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_02]: And as I'm driving, there's this man, and I'll call the scribeum.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_02]: He's this skinny white dude, probably like five nine, and he's running.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_02]: He's wearing a pit shirt, and he's probably like in his 40s, and he's wearing a hat, and he's got glasses on his hat.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_02]: And he is running, running.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_00]: Where are you?
- 34:09[SPEAKER_02]: So fast.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I don't like, I was like,
- 34:12[SPEAKER_02]: about to get on to Sawmill Run Boulevard.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_02]: Do you know what I'm talking about?
- 34:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like heading to, I was going to like Elizabeth P.A.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: Sawmill, the one that you would take to like get to Mount Washington.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_02]: I don't, or is it in Robinson, neither anyway.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_02]: I was on this road.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: And this guy is like running so fast down the street, like towards on coming cars, like not towards, but, you know, that direction.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like watching him and then he like runs in front of my car like directly in front of my car and I watch him jump over this like bridge into a ravine that is like right there and then I mean he's just then I can't see him anymore, but he was like running so fast and literally runs like throws his body over I drive two more feet cop all these cop cars.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was like holy fuck like they were like out of business with their lights on like that guy was fully running from the cops
- 35:18[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, you know what?
- 35:20[SPEAKER_02]: And not, so none of my business.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_02]: Just kept driving.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't see anything.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, I was like, I'm a witness now.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_02]: Should I tell them like, he's over there?
- 35:30[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, you know what?
- 35:31[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if they're story.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what's going on here.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna stay out of it.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's so funny.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's crazy.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember anything like that.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, you find out, you find out, it's an episode of the pit that they were filming.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: No, I hope we get swim, like, I don't know, I don't know if they found them.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, and the thing is, why is that when something like this happens, I don't know where to go to find out about it.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_01]: Well, bringing talk about it.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_01]: That's the most important thing is when you're driving or you're doing XYZ and you feel like you're involved, and then it's like, well, where do I, I want to follow up?
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: I want to, like, right, like what I was driving somewhere while I was home and I would
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: Mr. Roman had like driven around the block like 10 times and I was like, dude, what are you doing something going on here?
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: And then I went to go leave.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's going to take the cookies downtown.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: And four Mount Lebanon police cars at the top of our hill, talking to a guy who was wearing an Amazon vest, but wasn't in an Amazon vehicle.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: And like looked a little sus.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_01]: I know some people drive, yeah, they do drive a different cars.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_01]: but this he was like being belligerent with them a little bit but I'm like then I but I had to go look I was like I had to meet them at a certain time so I couldn't stay in watch but it's like I should especially if it's in your neighborhood all the everybody should get a letter explaining what happened we should all get letters I'm sorry you should have you should we need business cards for this purpose and it's like hey I'm interested and it's like you're like driving up the top of the street and you see this happening in your road on your winter like hey I have someone to be I can't stay but
- 37:23[SPEAKER_02]: and you throw your business card off to call me call me when this is done one of maybe I've been to Roman call me like exactly you know what I mean it seems like he was on it I think so because I mean I was like what are you why is this car driving around the block and I was like oh the sister Roman?
- 37:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm weird.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_01]: Mr. Romulus is unlike you.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: It is.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, you're by now.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: You basically know the lawn and walk your dog and fly planes.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of know your whole deal, okay?
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: And now, so does all of the world because we just told them, and they all listen to this podcast.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, you saw three movies yesterday, and I don't want you to talk about obsession because I'm going to see it tonight.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's fine.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_02]: Do you want to tell us anything?
- 38:10[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, I did a little conno family movie club moment.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: I did a triple feature yesterday because I... You don't typically do that.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's like... That's the one I normally do for that long.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_01]: I normally do a double feature.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_02]: I would have to get out of, like, run around the theater a few times.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_02]: So, like, it's like, oh, right.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, it's like, everyone's active.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I think she can't sit.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_01]: She can't sit.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, like, like, wait, it's feel the burn a little bit.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you'd love to do some fire.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if you'd love to do some fire.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: I have to do some kind of stuff.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_02]: But it is like, when my mom's like, I need, I need you to go, like, run around the house, sometimes, like, energy out, like, that would be me if I had to do that.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I, just because I'm like, oh, like, I would have to have, like, a needle thing, look me, like, a fidget, right?
- 38:48[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_02]: By the way
- 38:49[SPEAKER_02]: weird.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's just I am pretty weird.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: They're sold out everywhere.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I, I'm not really a fidget person.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: You're not on the fidget sphere.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, not really my, not my community like.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: I know, so I anyway, I saw the thing, what I've really enjoyed, AMC has switched this up recently, and I don't know if it's just because they don't have like,
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: it's like this weekend.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like there's a massive movie coming out that is everybody's going to want to see in Dolby.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like I saw all three of these movies in Dolby, which normally like when Projectile Mary or Super Mario, like when those movies were out, that's the only movie in Dolby.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_01]: But because I think developers prod a Michael and Michael already had like their weekends, an obsession was done in Dolby cinema.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: They like had
- 39:40[SPEAKER_01]: a showing of each this week like every like so it worked out perfectly for me because at first I was going to see obsession and regular and then I saw a take talk that was like if you can because the showing was at 9.50 and I can't see it and I have to see it in regular I'm pissed so the um
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, okay, I'll just shift my movie watching plans to start at 345 and end at 1230 anyway.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_01]: So I saw a divorce that was part of first, which I absolutely loved.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_01]: Did you get a, I didn't catch Hannahburner in page in it, but I did.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_01]: I did page, but not Hannah.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_01]: I did catch our girl cat Cohen's voice.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_02]: Uh-huh.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: Which I don't know.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: Which I don't know.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_02]: It was not.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_02]: It was not.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_02]: It was not.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: It was not.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: It was not.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: It was not.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: It was not.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: It was not.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: It was not.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: It was not.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: It was not.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: It was not.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_01]: It was not.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_01]: It was not.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_01]: It was not.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_02]: It was not.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_01]: It was not.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: It was not.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_02]: It was not.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_02]: It was not.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_02]: It was not.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_02]: It was not.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_02]: It was not.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_02]: It was not.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_02]: It was not.
- 40:36[UNKNOWN]: It was not.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I feel like we didn't hear about her being in the movie.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_02]: First, I thought that it was going to be pageant, that was going to be pageant Hannah's thing.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was going to be like a gigless squad.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_02]: Whatever, but no, I saw page I didn't see Hannah.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: I love it all the cameos.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_01]: The thing I don't know was product movies, especially this one actually, even though I feel as we're watching the original, but there's something about it that does just make you want to wear beautiful clothes.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_01]: The girlfriend Bridger the girlfriend Bridger 10 who played assistant number one.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I mean you would have fallen when they go to Milan and there's a whole montage of them
- 41:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'll fit after I'll fit after I'll fit I was like no, she looks at me might be the most beautiful person on earth on Or you know she's amazing.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was and you know like what you're saying about it making you want to wear beautiful clothes I think that was like the entire point of this film was that like artistry It's just that it is and I love like
- 41:34[SPEAKER_02]: There are spaces where it is revered and it should be protected and AI can never replicate some of these things like it just can't like it is not going to be able to match the intricacies of a human brain and it's not going to make us feel the same way it just won't.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_01]: a picture of the story night beside an AI-generated version of story night and they said we can finally see what Vincent Van Gogh wanted us to see.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, no, we're seeing it.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_01]: We're seeing what he wanted us to see.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_01]: He painted it.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what Impressionism is like, it's also like, it's like when you see what Picasso lens, like this is a stylistic
- 42:29[SPEAKER_01]: draw photo realistic people, but he chose to do it differently because it was an artistic decision.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's why you hire different photographers for different things because they have different eyes.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_02]: They have different styles and images, why you hire different actors for different things.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's why all of you know it's just it's so it's the difference between a baker and a chef,
- 42:56[SPEAKER_02]: do things and their skill set and what they bring to it that somebody else may not be able to even though they're great What they do and I just I thought the devil was proud of you was such a great homage a good film and it's what a treat to get to see such I mean to get all these people to come back to get such brilliant acting performances in a movie that feels like it doesn't need brilliant acting like but it benefits so much from an Emily blunt just so
- 43:24[SPEAKER_01]: I could tap in for also the apparently I learned I learned that's an imp that she improvised that what she improvised that line and she improvised in the first movie when she that's also improvised.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_01]: She's so good and she's so good in this.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of they kept like the aesthetics.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_02]: Like, she's still because one of my favorite moments with Emily Blunt and the first, I love all her makeup looks in the first movie, especially her blue eye shadow.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_02]: And I like that they like still, it's like she's mature and she's grown up, but she still is and also was like her wearing the branded.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: clothes is also such a commentary on her character and the way that she's viewed by Miranda because of these things.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_02]: You're not what she's saying.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_02]: You're not a visionary or a vendor and and also I mean the shots fired at coach at the end like like oh my god it was so good and I also loved
- 44:24[SPEAKER_02]: the commentary on journalism and how we're losing that and how people just think you can consolidate everything and repackage it and people now there are these real people behind these jobs it's not just like a dollar sign and I know when you're in the business world you might have to think of it that way sometimes but it's like it's important for us to know it because we choose what to consume we choose what to give our money to
- 44:49[SPEAKER_02]: And we can choose to give it to A.I.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: Slop or we can choose to give it to the real hardworking people.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_02]: Early the movie I should train their whole lives to do something.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_01]: It made me think about deleting, took talk off of my phone.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm not going to do that.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's crazy.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I haven't done it yet.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_01]: I just said anything.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: And you're not doing it.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_01]: But it's just like, what would I be doing with my time if I didn't have it on my phone?
- 45:12[SPEAKER_02]: And like, what would I be on a different app?
- 45:15[SPEAKER_01]: I know, but would that app be like sub-stack or something where I can do it?
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'd love to.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_02]: It'd be Twitter, bitch.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_02]: It'd be Twitter.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_01]: Twitter would just go up in the fucking app you've said.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, I loved it.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_01]: And then I saw Michael after that, which...
- 45:31[SPEAKER_01]: I won't be seeing that.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_01]: Did it make me feel any better about anything?
- 45:36[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but I did.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_01]: I sent a last night by the way.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_01]: I saw that joke.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_01]: That was crazy.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_01]: It was a little bit like, what is this a while?
- 45:44[SPEAKER_01]: And that was before the joke swap crazy.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_02]: But, or was it?
- 45:48[SPEAKER_01]: No, I was during the jokes.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: It was, there were some crazy jokes.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_02]: Even before the joke swap.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: But, um,
- 45:56[SPEAKER_01]: I, I did, I am like who made the artistic decision to end the movie, like a Marvel movie with a, with a card that says his story continues, which no, it doesn't, no, no, clearly, the thing about this movie is that it ends right when the bad tour starts, which is right is immediately before everything else happens.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why I'm saying it's crazy.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_01]: Really?
- 46:27[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, it's more like, yeah, we know.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_01]: We know the story, I can didn't use.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_01]: We, famously.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_02]: And you, and you interestingly chose a myth.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think someone, and again, this might have been AI.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but I saw somewhere that someone asked the director about the back half of his life.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_01]: And he said, well, I mean, a sequel's not out of the question.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_01]: And like, do you think his, do you think his nephew's going to come back and want to portray his uncle?
- 46:52[SPEAKER_01]: In the building, because like Simba off of balcony and then I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I just didn't Anyway, but I do just I it was a I understand why it what it did so well because I mean the music is they did for it Jafar Jackson did
- 47:10[SPEAKER_01]: He there were certain shots where I was like, oh, that looks just like him and also I don't know if I like I don't know if he damn I'm sure he danced before, but it's like there's only so much genetics.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_01]: can like pass on how did he learn to move his body exactly.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_02]: Well, the same way that Natalie Portman learned how to dance for the Black Swan.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you're right.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_02]: Robby learned how to ice skate for the Itonia.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, I mean, it really is like uncanny the way that he was able to look like him.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_01]: And Coleman Domingo was actually terrifying in the movie.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_01]: Coleman Domingo is perfect.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he played Joe Jackson and was like,
- 47:53[SPEAKER_01]: Apparently they called their parents Joseph and mother, like that made me feel kind of weird.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't Michael Jackson had a fucked up life and there's a part of me that has empathy for the guy.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_02]: But I just want to say there are so many people that have fucked up lives that don't go on to do fucked up shit.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_02]: And it's very hard for me to separate the art from the artists when it comes to these things.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_02]: as well.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's just that I learned a little bit like they really lean into how much Michael loved like toys and like he never he was I was did have like a little kid he had like a real Peter Pan syndrome and he never got to make friends his age his friends were his animals which was cool like his chimp like all his animals that he had those were the people that he talked to and we see that from a young age that he like his pets were
- 48:49[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just like the parents needed to step in and like let him be socialized.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_01]: It seems like the more brothers were allowed to, like they were, well, they didn't have the same star power, I guess.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: But I was just, I was a little bit surprised with how much they, like,
- 49:05[SPEAKER_01]: they showed Michael with, like, sick kids and, like, like, at the tree of glory to them, and I'm just like, I don't know, like, if I'm making, if I, I just would be a shy away from any interactions with kids.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_02]: I also, in the movie, there's a scene.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, and here's a thing, they're obviously trying to make people understand, like, they show his, his first nose job that he got, which I didn't realize he got so early.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't really realize that.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_01]: But there's a scene of him like looking at Peter Pan's nose in in the book and like touching his nose and touching Peter Pan's nose and then he that's why he like started to get the like get it curved off us.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, anyway, he saw that and then I saw obsession which we don't talk about too much, but it was I mean that girl.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_01]: her life is about to change.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_02]: Even just from the couple, you know, 30 second scenes I've seen, I've been quite blown away by her performance.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_01]: And it's very, it's very cool because
- 50:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably, I think she said this in an interview, but like it's such a gift as a newer actor on the scene to get to do a role like that, where you get to see in the beginning of the movie, she's very like girl next door.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_01]: So she got to showcase that she could do roles like that, and then she gets to really show an insane range that most people don't get to do.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_01]: She kind of reminds me a little bit of early on yetaler joy.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, a little bit, you know, very good.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really excited about the direction horror is going and I think.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_01]: The teeth are getting like so creative and we're getting to hear younger voices.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_01]: And I think we're going to see the awards, um, I think so too.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's changed.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_01]: I really want to be as incinerator.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to get harder and harder.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, it's just going to get harder to ignore that.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_02]: There's a big discrepancy and how we're looking at horror and like,
- 50:56[SPEAKER_01]: Like the performance, and also like, it's something that's never really made sense to me because the performances often have to be so much better.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_01]: They really do.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_01]: And they also just production value, like there's so much, and they often get lower budgets.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying the Conjuring needs Oscars, but like, when you look at the substance or you look at the Jordan Peel movies or you look at the classic horror movies, like these performances, I can't believe that
- 51:24[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, there are these movies from like the 70s, 80s, 90s would have never gotten.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_02]: Well, having an anti-gloutest, winning a war, that changes so much.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Peter Nian go should have won for us.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if it was nominated for it, but that role, it's also like talking about playing two roles, Michael B. Jordaners.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_02]: You take these huge stars and you put them in a horror film and it used to be like, oh, that means your careers in the shinner in these days.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's like,
- 51:56[SPEAKER_02]: But it rehabilitated any more to do these amazing stories.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_01]: These new and like you see someone like to me more.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_01]: He was known as a popcorn actress for whole life.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_01]: do a horror movie and suddenly that is what changed things for her.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_01]: Speaking of which, guys, please eat a burger.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_01]: Please, everybody, I'm literally, I'm literally on my hands and he's begging you.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_01]: No, it is like, you wouldn't like this.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_01]: You would literally love it.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_02]: Saying this from the Gakko.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'll say it again.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_02]: I knew what would happen.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_02]: I knew I'll use skinny freaks out there would be like, oh, is that everyone can be skinny now?
- 52:33[SPEAKER_02]: But.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_02]: And they were like, I have to separate myself from the fake skinny.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, I have to show that I'm a real skinny person.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_02]: And the only way to do that is to be going in and bones.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's your gonna do that.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's like you're gonna die and it's gonna go in to you.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_02]: The effect that you're having on young people, you don't even know.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_02]: You can't even compute it.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, you did about this thing.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_01]: Go ahead.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I was just like me and Mimi were talking about how, like, we'll see pictures of ourselves from years ago and be like,
- 53:02[SPEAKER_01]: what I would give and then it's like why couldn't I and it's like how I was thinking about like if I have a daughter and like because me and me were like well yeah you're like going to the doctor's office and they're like telling you so like hey buddy yeah like outside so literally and it's like what does that do to obtain age girls
- 53:25[SPEAKER_01]: image of herself and how do you then like how do you protect like obviously the doctor is the best interest of the kid like I understand that is important to like and like help them understand
- 53:40[SPEAKER_01]: how to protect their health and things like that, but how do you also ensure that it's not like detrimental to the way that they view their body?
- 53:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's very comfortable.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_02]: How do you talk to my friends around the world about this a lot?
- 53:53[SPEAKER_02]: Like they're like, I struggle so much because I want my daughter to make healthy choices and I want all these things, but I also don't want her to get too in her head about it and like, you know, like our mom talks about this with us too, like she struggled with it as a kid and she struggled with us and it's like at a certain point, I just think
- 54:09[SPEAKER_02]: There's no amount of like right parenting you can do.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_02]: Your kids still gonna get fucked up with all this body shit most likely.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_02]: Like if you just hoping people get past that skinny shit.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we're not going to because here's the thing back in the day.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_02]: Well, but also back in the day like when heroin chic and like being super skinny was so in it was like I was seeing it and check out lines on magazine covers.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_02]: I was seeing it in the movies.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_02]: I was seeing it these places.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't have social media, reading it directly to my fucking vein.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and like now, there's there's no way to escape it.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_01]: So we're not going to see these daily meal headlines like, look at this girl's tone norms and it's like, no, that's a bone that's not toned.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_02]: We use to.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like when social media kind of started, it was like, yes, there is this like beauty standard that's like unattainable, whatever, but there was also a level of body positivity that was on my favorite favorite Miranda Presley lens, she's like a model of body body body body body body, body, body, body positive.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and I love how when she said that, every time she's like, what does she say about suicide?
- 55:20[SPEAKER_02]: And she's like, why can I say that?
- 55:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not killing somebody else and killing myself or whatever.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_02]: Is that that?
- 55:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's not threatening to do somebody else.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_02]: Why can't I say that?
- 55:28[SPEAKER_02]: Sitting there like, what?
- 55:32[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 55:32[SPEAKER_02]: I can't say that.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_02]: No, but what does she say?
- 55:35[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, they what's the name?
- 55:36[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember exactly the way she said it, but her butt, why was so their body positive now?
- 55:42[SPEAKER_02]: Or something like that we're supposed to talk about bodies as as beautiful, but why are like whatever is so funny?
- 55:49[SPEAKER_02]: I also loved the scene where she's hanging up her own coat and she's like, when did this?
- 55:54[SPEAKER_02]: So physical comedy queen.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_02]: Um, no, but I think that like we grew up with the at least the start of body positivity.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_02]: And so that's a lot of what our social was feeding us even though like we were still fed, you know, the unattainable shit.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_02]: But it's like now, these kids have so much more social media and now we're them so much more intense.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_02]: Skinny skinny skinny skinny.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_02]: So it's like we're not going to know the effects from this for all time.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like you used to have to like seek it out more.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_01]: Like you would have to see the content on a tumbler always existed.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_01]: The content that you, you would have to find it.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_01]: Whereas now it's like if you click on one thing about someone being skinny,
- 56:35[SPEAKER_01]: your feet and then if you're like you're watching one one person cooking food for themselves and then that leads you to like it's your friend like the post and then they're like, well, I bet you'll like it too and then you see that your friend liked it so you're like, I should like it so it just it's also fucked up.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, okay, we really don't have time to get into reality TV right now, which is a shame.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_02]: So we're going to move on to two our rotations,
- 57:03[SPEAKER_02]: Um, you are on Nightmare.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_02]: So, like, as I start, okay.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_02]: First up is Alt Tracey.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_02]: I listened to John Waters on Los Culturistas.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_02]: What a get, what a massive get.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_02]: If you haven't listened to his, I don't think so, honey, is a Hall of Famer, immediate Hall of Fame.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's, he goes on, I don't like the way people talk these days.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_02]: Someone comes over and says, let me take your picture.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_02]: Take my, what?
- 57:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's a picture, dumbass.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, I don't like it's surreal.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, this is so surreal.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_02]: No, it is in it's your life.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_02]: He just keeps going on and on and on about how he just doesn't like how people talk and so funny.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but he talks about how there was a version of her story with an alt Tracy who was like a bad girl and who was like kind of a meany and she was kind of like doing the wrong things and I'm like give me that Tracy they were like the story doesn't work if Tracy's like a bitch, but I'm like, but what if it didn't I don't know.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_02]: I would've been dying to play.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, call me a factor on stage.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_02]: Let me be all let me be a bully too.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 58:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's more truthful to me.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so all it's Tracy is number one, the concept of next up is Mr. on blast.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_02]: If you watch us in our last night or all the season, I'm sorry.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know his name.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_02]: He's a rookie on us and all this this year.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_02]: The guy that plays Tucker Carlson, he plays JD Vance.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_02]: He is gold.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I know is I got to say I don't love his JD Vance.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well, there's a matter.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's cool.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_02]: Phoebe shut up.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_02]: So good.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_02]: Phoebe, you don't know anything.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_02]: He does this Mr. On Blast character, which I'm going to be sending to you immediately once we finish, because you're going to shit your fucking pants laughing.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_02]: There's something very Anthony about it.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_02]: It is so the physical comedy like I was laughing out loud.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait to see what this guy goes on to do.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's going to be like our new bow in in terms of just like the male staple like he's just great.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_02]: So Mr. on blast and then finally on my dream rotation is Alicia Carmonie from the real housewives of Rhode Island.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_02]: What a fucking gift.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_02]: I tried to get a cameo from her the other day.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_02]: They're unavailable.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_02]: People have been blowing her the fuck up and I get it.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_02]: I get a girl become back for me.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_02]: She would like I keep seeing cameos on my TikTok of her holding up a doll and being like, now this doll is great inspiration if you're going out, look at how she does her makeup here.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_02]: and she says like in the hairstyles really good just like if you don't know how to do your hair when you're going out you can look at your dolls and kind of figure that out she is the the moment in the last episode she goes Alexa why is there a beetle in here?
- 59:32[SPEAKER_01]: Alexa why is there a beetle like a white do you think there's there's such a find there is such a find there is such a find line between your impression of her and your drama
- 59:45[SPEAKER_02]: you're right.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_02]: You're right.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_02]: They're honestly they feel like twin flames.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_02]: And I love that a lot of Alicia and drama would get along famously for sure.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, you're up.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_01]: Number one is I'm going to give the actual people a break on my rotation, but Amanda Betulos still going to catch a stray permanent bug.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_01]: Her wig is on there.
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_02]: We, but I then
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_02]: No, what that had to be was that to be her?
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_01]: No, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her, no, it had to be her,
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_01]: Um, also Amanda's new thing where she's like doing where like she's trying to be Sierra and like she goes to the ski party and she like thinks it's so funny that she's wearing like a funny costume.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm like actually, first of all, it's not funny.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's not creative.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_01]: Second of all, Sierra's like so like snow, goggle tanline is actually 10.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_01]: So love her snow boggles and like so fucking annoyingers can't stand any more next.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_01]: This Alex has been on real housewives of New York.
- 1:01:13[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god I don't think of ever
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_01]: permeates through my body and it happens to you on the screen.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to bring it up every week.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_01]: I now realize so I he is he and Ramona like get into it like they Ramona hates him and he's like, well, I think you have a man problem.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think you have a man problem and like keeps a call like coming up to her being like, why don't you like me?
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_01]: Why don't you like me?
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, because you, hey, they had it, they had it.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_01]: They had it.
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_01]: They had it.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_01]: They had a girl's night
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, well, I don't really like do girls nights.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_01]: I like, like, he comes with me every girl.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_01]: You guys go.
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_01]: Let me do it anyway.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_01]: And the last is going to be the way that my hips feel right now.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know what I'm saying?
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_01]: There's like, achy.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I just feel.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's up to me as your first period.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm dehydrated.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm on my period.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably all those.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_02]: Girl, you're going to get a kidney stone.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to the kidney stone factory quick.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_02]: And a hand basket, even.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_02]: And a hand basket.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_02]: If you don't get some water on your body,
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_01]: I know I'm going to drink some water after this.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_02]: Go drink some water after this and watch Mr. on blast that I just sent you.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_02]: That sounds like a perfect moment.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody drinking ice, go to water.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_01]: Why do I go to the grocery store to wait order my groceries?
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_02]: Where do I go?
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know like whatever feels right to you, but I would say order.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_02]: All right guys.
