- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, well, well, Mark sim owners away and curtiusly with
- 0:05Speaker 1: his here to play on talk radio, which I've been
- 0:11Speaker 1: involved with for what will be thirty six years in
- 0:14Speaker 1: January and crashes on the boards. Old WABC alumni will
- 0:21Speaker 1: talk about that later on. Not my place to be
- 0:24Speaker 1: any longer because it's always bashing Kurdish there. But I
- 0:28Speaker 1: am festooned in red and will be taking you the
- 0:33Speaker 1: rest of the way to Mark Returns on January second.
- 0:36Speaker 1: And you might, you might think that I was actually
- 0:41Speaker 1: a form of Santa Claus. What is that the miracle
- 0:45Speaker 1: on thirty fourth Street, you know where that crazed woman
- 0:48Speaker 1: walked in and stabbed a tourists from California multiple times.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Thank god she survived. Yeah, no, not see. I'm always
- 0:58Speaker 1: getting people coming up to me actually talking about crime
- 1:03Speaker 1: and things that are going wrong. Understood, understood. You see
- 1:07Speaker 1: the red beret, you see the red satin jacket that's
- 1:09Speaker 1: expected them in the subways and streets every day. But
- 1:12Speaker 1: last night, I once again attended in Washington Heights our
- 1:17Speaker 1: annual Junior Guardian Angels Christmas extravagance for Lease Navidad. They're
- 1:24Speaker 1: predominantly Dominicans. A lot of those kids. We give remedial
- 1:29Speaker 1: training after school at our headquarters there, you know, to
- 1:34Speaker 1: get them to be able to speak English and assimilate
- 1:37Speaker 1: to math, do the things that maybe they're not getting
- 1:40Speaker 1: in the public school system, which are many instances, is
- 1:44Speaker 1: failing our kids with spending credible amounts of money forty
- 1:48Speaker 1: one billion dollars alone in the city. That's one third
- 1:50Speaker 1: of the budget. But our program and a lot of
- 1:54Speaker 1: other programs around the city nourish these children who were
- 1:58Speaker 1: in need, many of them without fathers. The mothers were present,
- 2:04Speaker 1: or the older brothers or sisters, and it was great.
- 2:08Speaker 1: But I also ended up doing a moonwalk, so to speak,
- 2:13Speaker 1: because everywhere I went last night, and I'm always in
- 2:18Speaker 1: the subways and streets, I was involved in a flashback.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Let me you explain. I was not in a drug
- 2:26Speaker 1: induce psychosis. I had not been smoking Maui Wawi or
- 2:31Speaker 1: Hindu kush. Like the former mayor who Discratsia to build
- 2:36Speaker 1: a basil, who's in his midlife crisis. My god, that
- 2:40Speaker 1: guy cannot you know, he should keep his rocket in
- 2:43Speaker 1: his pocket because the guy is just chasing skirts all
- 2:48Speaker 1: over the place. Anyway, The point being is I'm up
- 2:51Speaker 1: there I'm watching Santi Claus give out presents to the
- 2:56Speaker 1: children of the Junior Guardian Angels program, and I'm thinking
- 2:59Speaker 1: about ten years. Do you know who would come in
- 3:03Speaker 1: and entertain the children? Because the leader there, super Stretcher's
- 3:08Speaker 1: been with me since he was fifteen years old, fifteen
- 3:11Speaker 1: years old in the Bronx nineteen seventy nine. He runs
- 3:14Speaker 1: the program. You know he had had in Jordan Neely.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Now you may say, who's Jordan Neely? Think about that? Think, think, think,
- 3:23Speaker 1: think moonwalk, Think Michael Jackson. He lived right across the
- 3:28Speaker 1: street in Washington Heights sink back May one, twenty twenty
- 3:36Speaker 1: three at Saint Jordan Neely, who was best known as
- 3:42Speaker 1: an impersonator of Michael Jackson. He would do the moonwalk
- 3:45Speaker 1: and sing Billy Jean ended up in that subway, remember
- 3:51Speaker 1: with Daniel Penny. The marine then ended up choking him
- 3:55Speaker 1: out because he was so emotionally disturbed, been living in
- 4:00Speaker 1: the subway and a dysfunctional way because he was emotionally
- 4:05Speaker 1: disturbed for years, for years, going through garbage cans, trying
- 4:10Speaker 1: to find a place to relieve himself, like so many
- 4:13Speaker 1: other who live in our subterranean. Dante's inferno that we
- 4:19Speaker 1: call the subway. And there's a group out there, the
- 4:23Speaker 1: Bowery Residence Committee. You should all know. We've spent millions
- 4:26Speaker 1: and millions of dollars for them. It's part of the
- 4:29Speaker 1: nonprofit industrial complex dealing with homeless. There's five hundred contracts
- 4:35Speaker 1: out there, various agencies. They're always kickbacks, always subcontracts. Really
- 4:42Speaker 1: needs to be investigated. But this group goes out there
- 4:44Speaker 1: in these orange Sherbet jackets. You almost never see them.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I've seen them on occasion. And their job isn't to
- 4:52Speaker 1: care for the emotionally disturbed. They're the homeless. It's to
- 4:55Speaker 1: count them. Yeah, count it once and count it to
- 5:01Speaker 1: And in reference to this very disturbed young man, Jordan Neely,
- 5:05Speaker 1: who was quite the entertainer ten years ago before unfortunately
- 5:11Speaker 1: he died in the arms of Daniel Penny, who did
- 5:13Speaker 1: not want to kill him. Was quite the Michael Jackson impersonated.
- 5:20Speaker 1: So you want to know what happened in between that
- 5:22Speaker 1: causted him to fall into the abyss. And even though
- 5:26Speaker 1: he came into contact with many homeless outreach persons of
- 5:30Speaker 1: this Bowery Residence Committee that has failed us over and over,
- 5:34Speaker 1: taking our money and provided little of any service. He
- 5:36Speaker 1: was put on a list of the fifty most dangerous
- 5:40Speaker 1: emotionally disturbed persons who live in the city subway system.
- 5:44Speaker 1: They are like four hundred and seventy two platforms and stations.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I've been to them all, imagine, and making a list,
- 5:51Speaker 1: not taking him to a mental health care facility, not
- 5:55Speaker 1: getting him help, but just putting him on a list
- 5:58Speaker 1: and checking it twice, madam am I. And then on
- 6:04Speaker 1: that fateful afternoon on May first, twenty twenty three, Jordan
- 6:08Speaker 1: nearly comes into that car, that f train car right
- 6:12Speaker 1: in the Lower east Side where I was yesterday. I
- 6:14Speaker 1: think he was at Broadway Lefiete, starts terrorizing the passengers.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Daniel Penny was living in the Lower east Side going
- 6:23Speaker 1: for a job interview. Did not look like your typical
- 6:26Speaker 1: jarhead marine. No, no, he was very very much like
- 6:30Speaker 1: almost a hippie so to speak, very bohemian. Puts him
- 6:34Speaker 1: inte show cold. Unfortunately, jordanan dies. He goes for the
- 6:41Speaker 1: interview or the first police precinct. The DTS say, okay,
- 6:46Speaker 1: you did the right thing. And then days later who
- 6:48Speaker 1: decides to windem Alvin Bragg, who turns all criminals loose,
- 6:52Speaker 1: but in dts, those that are defending themselves and everyone else.
- 6:56Speaker 1: You know that Jose Alba, remember in the bodega, who
- 7:00Speaker 1: unfortunately had to kill the guy who came over the counter,
- 7:03Speaker 1: who was threatening his life. It goes on and on,
- 7:05Speaker 1: but this case in particular, it's ten years ago. He
- 7:11Speaker 1: was entertaining junior Guardian Angels from time to time with
- 7:13Speaker 1: his skill level. He had skills, and so I was
- 7:17Speaker 1: like moonwalking back and saying, you know how long this
- 7:21Speaker 1: has been going on? We have all these emotionally disturbed persons,
- 7:27Speaker 1: We have all these homeless nothing being done, nothing by
- 7:30Speaker 1: Deblasio and his griff's wife Charlene. Remember they took one
- 7:34Speaker 1: and a half billion dollars over five years for a
- 7:37Speaker 1: program called Thrive. They never helped one emotionally disturbed person,
- 7:42Speaker 1: never investigated because it's a one party system in New
- 7:44Speaker 1: York City and New York State. That's why you need
- 7:47Speaker 1: a two party system, if not more the checks and balances.
- 7:51Speaker 1: So that was my experience there. Then I jump on
- 7:55Speaker 1: the A train and I head down to East Broadway
- 8:00Speaker 1: Guardian Angel headquarters in Chinatown to accompany them as they
- 8:04Speaker 1: go out and they handle the emotionally disturbed and the homeless,
- 8:09Speaker 1: many of whom reside in Sarah Roosevelt Park. Now some
- 8:13Speaker 1: of you probably have been through that over the years.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Goes between Canal Street and He's housed and Forsyth and Christie,
- 8:22Speaker 1: and there are all kinds of rules and regulations. Is
- 8:25Speaker 1: he let me tell you something, if you ever go there.
- 8:27Speaker 1: It says big signe pets are prohibited from the park,
- 8:31Speaker 1: but not drug dealers, drug users, or pervs, petophiles. It
- 8:38Speaker 1: says no scooters. And yet you see scooters going through
- 8:41Speaker 1: like mad crazed individuals who are ready to knock you down.
- 8:46Speaker 1: And it's just a miserable park. Miserable park, lots of problems,
- 8:50Speaker 1: lots of emotionally disturb lots of homeless. So we go
- 8:54Speaker 1: through there and we make sure things are cool, calm
- 8:57Speaker 1: and collected, and we have Narkhan with us. You know
- 9:00Speaker 1: why these people are on the verge maybe of dying
- 9:06Speaker 1: having taken in fentanyl. Later on we're going to discuss,
- 9:11Speaker 1: you know, Venezuela, we're on the cusp of starting this
- 9:13Speaker 1: war supposedly because Maduro is helping to export the fentanyl
- 9:21Speaker 1: into our country. That's a lie, that's like weapons of
- 9:25Speaker 1: mass destruction. Remember we got invade the Rock Saddam Hussein, right,
- 9:29Speaker 1: Dick Sheney, who was saying, oh, well, you know, forget
- 9:32Speaker 1: Saddam Hussein, you might as well look at how Kaida
- 9:37Speaker 1: there Osama been like and trying to conflate the two.
- 9:41Speaker 1: We're still looking for those weapons of mass destruction. Right.
- 9:44Speaker 1: There's no fentinol coming out of Venezuela. If anything, it's cocaine.
- 9:51Speaker 1: But that's one of the rationalsis. We are on the
- 9:54Speaker 1: cusp of war as troops being assembled on the island
- 9:59Speaker 1: of Puerto Rico. They're off in the Atlantic Ocean in
- 10:05Speaker 1: different parts, ready to strike a task force with a
- 10:10Speaker 1: aircraft carrier, the Gerald Ford and others. By the way,
- 10:13Speaker 1: have they renamed any of our battleships in honor of
- 10:16Speaker 1: President Donald Trump? Apparently he wants new battleships named in
- 10:20Speaker 1: his honor. He wants everything named in his honor. Right
- 10:23Speaker 1: there it is, see the Kennedy Center, it's now the
- 10:25Speaker 1: Trump Kennedy Center. He wants to coin You know, generally
- 10:29Speaker 1: these things happen once you're dead. No, I don't need
- 10:34Speaker 1: to hear that. Uh, Like the tappan Zee Bridge, right
- 10:38Speaker 1: there was renamed in the waning moments of a legislative
- 10:43Speaker 1: station by Andrew evilised Coomo the Mario Coumol Bridge. To me,
- 10:47Speaker 1: it'll always be the Tappanzee Bridge, which tad happens once
- 10:49Speaker 1: you're dead. Trump wants all these things while he's alive.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Oh boy, But let's discuss that, because we are at
- 11:05Speaker 1: a point with this holiday Christmas extravagance in New Year's
- 11:09Speaker 1: where a lot of men and women are overseas and
- 11:13Speaker 1: it comes on the cusp of another war that is
- 11:17Speaker 1: raging in the Ukraine. Putin, responsible for invading the Ukrains.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Zolenski did not take the opportunity to leave. He stood
- 11:27Speaker 1: the Ukrainian's battle back somewhat at an impasse. Putin wants
- 11:34Speaker 1: Zelenski to say no Mass, no Mass, and the carnage continues.
- 11:39Speaker 1: The carnage continues. And it was interesting that Zelenski, right
- 11:46Speaker 1: before the holiday, said, hey, I tell you what Putin
- 11:51Speaker 1: wants the eastern part of the Ukraine. Instead of arguing
- 11:56Speaker 1: over what you get and we get. If there is peace,
- 11:58Speaker 1: an armistice, why don't we set up a dmz DE
- 12:02Speaker 1: militarized zone And a certain number of miles would separate
- 12:07Speaker 1: both sides, and then of course there would be troops
- 12:11Speaker 1: that would guarantee the Ukrainian security on the NATO side. Now,
- 12:18Speaker 1: let's explore that, because that's a pretty damn good idea
- 12:22Speaker 1: to stop this carnage, because it doesn't seem like at
- 12:26Speaker 1: this point anything is going to do that, so a
- 12:31Speaker 1: mutual area in between it. And it sort of reminded
- 12:34Speaker 1: me as I do the moonwalk, I go into the
- 12:36Speaker 1: time machine slowly, I turn step by step, and hey,
- 12:43Speaker 1: we're still involved. In Korea, the Korean Peninsula thirty eighth parallel,
- 12:49Speaker 1: there is what one hundred and sixty mile long wall
- 12:54Speaker 1: barbed wire three miles wide in between, in which there
- 13:00Speaker 1: are sharpshooters on the North Korean side if you attempt
- 13:03Speaker 1: to bolt the cross to leave, to leave the horror
- 13:09Speaker 1: of Kim Jung mentally Ill's evil seat, that cult in
- 13:14Speaker 1: North Korea, which barely has about it one million, two
- 13:19Speaker 1: hundred thousand soldiers ready to go to battle, if not more.
- 13:26Speaker 1: South Korea has four hundred and fifty thousand on their
- 13:28Speaker 1: side of the DMZ, which was set up just about
- 13:32Speaker 1: the time I was born in nineteen fifty four, twenty
- 13:36Speaker 1: eight thousand United States troops across one hundred and sixty
- 13:43Speaker 1: miles to keep the peace. Hopefully you'll all understand the
- 13:50Speaker 1: sacrifice that those men and women are making and being
- 13:52Speaker 1: on the front line, knowing that any moment especially there's
- 13:57Speaker 1: a little portion there where you saw then President Donald
- 14:00Speaker 1: Trump in his first term walk like halfway across, and
- 14:04Speaker 1: then you saw a guy who was in need of
- 14:08Speaker 1: ozempic who was at the evil see the Kim Jung
- 14:10Speaker 1: mentally ill who's coming across. They shook hands there and
- 14:15Speaker 1: you have the North Korean guards staring at the South
- 14:17Speaker 1: Korean guards, I fortigating, mad dogging one another. Do you
- 14:22Speaker 1: know that war is still going on? It was never ended.
- 14:26Speaker 1: It was called the police action. Yeah, and the Americans died.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Fifty two thousand Americans died in that Korean War. How
- 14:38Speaker 1: many thousands were taking his POW's And I think once
- 14:43Speaker 1: there was the armistice, remember didn't end. The war was
- 14:48Speaker 1: to continue. It's officially a war now. I think there
- 14:52Speaker 1: were twenty one soldiers who decided to stay back in
- 14:55Speaker 1: North Korea. Well, I think they're in need of a
- 14:59Speaker 1: psychiatric Hey, can you imagine that I want to stay
- 15:03Speaker 1: in North Korea? But that's where a DMZ exists as
- 15:08Speaker 1: we speak. I'll never forget. I was going down from California,
- 15:13Speaker 1: from San Francisco, where I had a chapter of The
- 15:16Speaker 1: Guardian Angels, to Los Angeles, Why Beautiful. On the coach
- 15:20Speaker 1: stopped in Carmel where Clint Eastwood remember The Good, the Bad,
- 15:24Speaker 1: and the Ugly. He was the mayor at that time
- 15:26Speaker 1: and continuing to make films. I remember an old coat.
- 15:29Speaker 1: They was telling me, Oh, yeah, you know, Clint, he
- 15:31Speaker 1: was in the Korean War. He was, oh, tell me,
- 15:34Speaker 1: you know, I want to sop up all the information.
- 15:37Speaker 1: So yeah, he was stationed at Fort Ord. He was
- 15:40Speaker 1: a swimming instructor, he said. But it came into handy
- 15:44Speaker 1: use because he was on a flight that crashed. I
- 15:46Speaker 1: don't know if it was in the ocean somewhere, it
- 15:49Speaker 1: was in water, and he swam to chore saved his life.
- 15:53Speaker 1: But he did service like so many other men and
- 15:57Speaker 1: women stationed around the world this Christmas New Year's holiday
- 16:02Speaker 1: that oftentimes we just don't think of at all, don't
- 16:08Speaker 1: think of at all. And then, of course there was
- 16:12Speaker 1: the DMC that I grew up with, like so many
- 16:16Speaker 1: of the baby boomers in the Cold War, the Wall,
- 16:20Speaker 1: the Berlin Wall, in fact, I think it was put
- 16:24Speaker 1: up in nineteen sixty one on the orders of Nikita
- 16:28Speaker 1: kruz Jef remember said he would bury us at the
- 16:31Speaker 1: General Assembly in a drunken stupor too much vodka, he
- 16:35Speaker 1: took his shoe off, he banged the table, he said,
- 16:38Speaker 1: we will bury you. And man, whenever you took a
- 16:41Speaker 1: subway or a bus there was it was an area
- 16:44Speaker 1: that showed that on television and every day we'd have
- 16:47Speaker 1: to get underneath our our classroom tables that we worked
- 16:53Speaker 1: from desks, and we had to put our hands behind
- 16:58Speaker 1: our necks and kiss Artuka sardupa air rage siren will
- 17:04Speaker 1: go on. You never know, the big one could be
- 17:06Speaker 1: dropped at any moment in the midst of the Cold War,
- 17:12Speaker 1: and how many many women were assigned to guarding that
- 17:18Speaker 1: wall on the western side West Germany obviously much larger
- 17:22Speaker 1: than East Germany. But helping the Stasi at that time
- 17:25Speaker 1: was who Vladimir putin kg B guy on the eastern side.
- 17:31Speaker 1: And that all came to me because I remember, I
- 17:35Speaker 1: remember the scenes of the guard towers, the trenches, the
- 17:39Speaker 1: death strip that separated East from West because The Communists
- 17:44Speaker 1: were worried that so many of their people each day
- 17:46Speaker 1: were fleeing to the West and freedom, about one thousand
- 17:50Speaker 1: a day, that they decided to cut him down with
- 17:52Speaker 1: machine gun fire if you did try to cross over
- 17:55Speaker 1: for freedom. Some of the buildings actually were partially on
- 17:58Speaker 1: one side and another side of the wall. I happened
- 18:02Speaker 1: to be able to see it up close and personal
- 18:05Speaker 1: after the wall came down. I was that nineteen eighty
- 18:09Speaker 1: nine Bush forty one asleep at the wheel, CIA asleep
- 18:13Speaker 1: at the wheel. They had no idea this was happening.
- 18:15Speaker 1: It was part of Gorbachev, you know, with the weinstain
- 18:20Speaker 1: on his head, the glass nose, Perestroika. Communism was falling,
- 18:24Speaker 1: and we didn't move quickly enough to start teaching those
- 18:29Speaker 1: folks about democracy and capitalism. We were just stunned. So
- 18:34Speaker 1: by the time I got there organizing Guardian Angels. In Berlin,
- 18:37Speaker 1: you could take the Uban and the s Bahn one
- 18:40Speaker 1: was the underground subway that went from West Berlin to
- 18:42Speaker 1: East Berlin, and then the elevated and the trains were
- 18:48Speaker 1: graffited just like they were in the nineteen seventies and
- 18:52Speaker 1: eighties here, and I was stunned as I walked through Berlin,
- 18:56Speaker 1: walking through parks and plaza where everybody thought, oh this
- 19:02Speaker 1: is this is the American Way graffiti. But I will
- 19:07Speaker 1: tell you this, how many men and women served there,
- 19:09Speaker 1: how many were killed and attempting to flee a DMC
- 19:14Speaker 1: that existed. I think this is a pretty good idea
- 19:19Speaker 1: that Zelenski has to end this carnage and think about it.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Think about it, and think about all those men and
- 19:29Speaker 1: women who continue to serve in including those men and
- 19:32Speaker 1: women who already at a moment's notice to invade Venezuela
- 19:37Speaker 1: when our commander in chief gives them the word. Right
- 19:40Speaker 1: here at your place to be, Our number is eight
- 19:42Speaker 1: hundred three two one zero seven ten. That's eight hundred
- 19:46Speaker 1: three to two one zero seven ten. This is the
- 19:49Speaker 1: station that maybe you're discovering for the very first time
- 19:53Speaker 1: in a long time. This is the station you should
- 19:56Speaker 1: be listening to from now on. Is I and my
- 19:58Speaker 1: wife Nancy will be joining me. They eleven o'clock hour,
- 20:01Speaker 1: listened to all the time seven to ten wor.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Street Smart Straight Talk. Curtis leewa guest host for Mark
- 20:09Speaker 2: Simone on sevent ten WAW.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Seeing Crash here a board operator, knowing he'd been in
- 20:20Speaker 1: the business for thirty years, mostly at my other place
- 20:23Speaker 1: to be no longer WABC. A true savant. I mean
- 20:27Speaker 1: this guy was like Google before there was Google, and
- 20:31Speaker 1: rescued many hosts and hostesses by giving them information that
- 20:35Speaker 1: they weren't privy to. Never got the credit, never did.
- 20:39Speaker 1: But he went to Fordham University and he worked at WFUV,
- 20:42Speaker 1: great great radio station and produced many people in this
- 20:46Speaker 1: thing of art. Vince Scully, Pete Fornah Tell, Mike Green,
- 20:50Speaker 1: Michael Ka, Charles Osgod, the list goes on and on
- 20:53Speaker 1: great station. There. The other guy who rescued WABC was
- 20:59Speaker 1: working here after thirty years, himself a savant when it
- 21:03Speaker 1: came to music in trivia was Lura Fino. Yeah, Louis
- 21:09Speaker 1: Fine was on the board and unfortunately a very dear friend,
- 21:13Speaker 1: Bernard McGirk died a prostate cancer. Again. I can't warn
- 21:17Speaker 1: you enough. A simple prick of the finger, now that
- 21:20Speaker 1: you're going to be with family and friends, Tell any
- 21:22Speaker 1: male over forty five, get that prick of the finger,
- 21:26Speaker 1: get that blood test. That's all it is. Look, I
- 21:29Speaker 1: had stage for a prostate cancer. I survived Berna McGirt
- 21:32Speaker 1: did not, and so they tried to go forward with
- 21:36Speaker 1: sid Rosenberg on his own and wasn't working out. He
- 21:39Speaker 1: needed a wingman and luire Fino as he had done
- 21:43Speaker 1: for over thirty years. I remember he was hanging out
- 21:45Speaker 1: of Beef Steak Charlie's up there in Fordham. Roll remember
- 21:48Speaker 1: Beef Steak Charlie's. They were everywhere. There were like sixty
- 21:50Speaker 1: of them in the eighties. Well you can eat salad,
- 21:53Speaker 1: barn limited beer, wine, sangreia, you know, the cheapest of
- 21:57Speaker 1: the cheap, but you leave with a belly full, as
- 22:00Speaker 1: many of the folks who went to Fordham did. Great
- 22:03Speaker 1: radio guy and he came. He kept us at Rosenberg
- 22:08Speaker 1: show alive. He threw him a lifeline. Yeah, you see
- 22:13Speaker 1: this thing of ours. You know, what comes around goes around.
- 22:18Speaker 1: But now I'm at my place to be w R
- 22:22Speaker 1: seven ten that I listened to along with my wife,
- 22:24Speaker 1: was going to give you an update in the eleven
- 22:26Speaker 1: o'clock arrow. You know, she's all animal welfare all the time.
- 22:31Speaker 1: And before we head out on the road to visit
- 22:33Speaker 1: family and relatives for this Christmas vacation, boy' is a
- 22:38Speaker 1: lot to catch up too with all of you, but
- 22:41Speaker 1: up next, as promise your turn to be heard right
- 22:45Speaker 1: here at seven ten wor.
- 22:47Speaker 2: The beret is Batch Curtis Sleepwa guest host the Mark
- 22:52Speaker 2: Simone Show on seven ten woo.
- 22:57Speaker 1: As promised to the phones, we go because it's your
- 23:01Speaker 1: turn to be heard here at seven ten w Pam
- 23:05Speaker 1: in Patterson, New Jersey. Thanks for joining us, then thank you.
- 23:11Speaker 3: And you probably remember me from the past and I
- 23:15Speaker 3: missed Nancy's Animal Hour. Also, you and I have something
- 23:19Speaker 3: in common from that other station called all day Bullying Callers.
- 23:26Speaker 3: The person who's on one to five in the morning
- 23:29Speaker 3: weekdays spent three out of the four hours mocking me
- 23:34Speaker 3: because I rescue cats and calling it a psychopathy. There
- 23:39Speaker 3: were a couple people who defended me. Your name was
- 23:42Speaker 3: mentioned in vain as a cat person who's you know,
- 23:46Speaker 3: we all have copathies and there's something wrong with us
- 23:50Speaker 3: and we don't like people. Just coming from a person
- 23:53Speaker 3: who has no children and no pets. Interesting. Interesting, And
- 23:59Speaker 3: I did not I because I was one of the
- 24:01Speaker 3: people responsible for helping that station get on its seat.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Oh no, no, I know, Ben, but I know you're
- 24:10Speaker 1: talking about lying that one. He's not alone. Look, the
- 24:13Speaker 1: President of the United States in the middle of the
- 24:16Speaker 1: mayoral campaign that he should have stayed out of, decided
- 24:20Speaker 1: to chastise me and my wife Nancy for rescuing cats.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Like so many others listening here in the Tri State
- 24:28Speaker 1: area and throughout the world on the Worldwide Net seven
- 24:33Speaker 1: wor who are going to be euthanized in shelters. Oh,
- 24:38Speaker 1: this is a bad thing. Well, I guess Mahatma Gandhi
- 24:41Speaker 1: was a bad person, right, who said a society that
- 24:44Speaker 1: does not take care of its animals does not take
- 24:47Speaker 1: care of its people. Look obvious, emotionally disturb people everywhere,
- 24:52Speaker 1: Homeless people, no way to go for Christmas and the
- 24:54Speaker 1: holidays other than the subways and parks and streets. And
- 25:00Speaker 1: they want to make fun of people who rescue animals.
- 25:06Speaker 1: That's the President of the United States in this case.
- 25:10Speaker 1: She was referring to Lionel others at Greg Kelly over
- 25:13Speaker 1: at w ABC, same thing, same thing. Interesting low update.
- 25:18Speaker 1: The incoming mayor Zoron Mandami. His wife has been a
- 25:23Speaker 1: bit of an enigma. The incoming first lady. Her name
- 25:27Speaker 1: is Rama, She's an artist from like Bushwick. She's going
- 25:31Speaker 1: to have a cat at Gracie mansion. I had no
- 25:34Speaker 1: idea that Zoron was allergic to cats, But in order
- 25:39Speaker 1: to satisfy the desire of his wife, he's going to
- 25:42Speaker 1: take the shots because he would have an allergy with
- 25:45Speaker 1: the cat. President in Gracy Mansion. Good thing you don't
- 25:49Speaker 1: hear anybody attacking him. Of course not they attack him
- 25:52Speaker 1: for other things. But oh, if the worst thing we
- 25:56Speaker 1: ever did in the world was to rescue animals in need.
- 26:02Speaker 1: These people hate animals and that's what they do. Need
- 26:06Speaker 1: to look at the Pew Research study last year. Check
- 26:10Speaker 1: it out right now. If I would ask Crash, I
- 26:13Speaker 1: wouldn't even have to google a chat chet. He would
- 26:19Speaker 1: conjure it right up. So ninety seven percent of Americans,
- 26:25Speaker 1: whether they voted for Trump, will voted for Harris. So
- 26:27Speaker 1: they don't vote now view their pets as family members,
- 26:32Speaker 1: as people ninety seven percent. So let them make fun
- 26:39Speaker 1: of people who rescue animals in distress or people in
- 26:45Speaker 1: distress who are homeless or emotionally disturbed, because let's face it,
- 26:49Speaker 1: they have self centered iron me in many instances, miserable lives.
- 26:58Speaker 1: We will be talking to animal rescue rescue up Nancy
- 27:02Speaker 1: in the upcoming hour. Let's go to Stuart, who's calling
- 27:06Speaker 1: from the Lower East Side, the East Village. Your turn
- 27:10Speaker 1: to be heard here at seven ten wo R.
- 27:14Speaker 4: Thank you, myn was Stu, pardon the voice and World
- 27:18Speaker 4: Trade Center. I'm one of those idiots that ran in
- 27:20Speaker 4: the wrong direction to help that day. And thank God
- 27:24Speaker 4: for the World Trade Center Health Registry. I just wanted
- 27:28Speaker 4: to say one. I love animals and to bid they
- 27:31Speaker 4: don't have a shot for an incoming mayor that wants
- 27:34Speaker 4: some handle cats. Stoley also likes New York Jews. They
- 27:38Speaker 4: don't have a shot for that too. Bet You I've
- 27:41Speaker 4: met three times. I've always liked you. I voted for
- 27:45Speaker 4: you twice. You would have been the best man of
- 27:47Speaker 4: the city ever had. And I hate what they did
- 27:51Speaker 4: at ABC. I can't listen to the station. I hate betrayal.
- 27:54Speaker 4: I hate what they did to you. I can't even
- 27:56Speaker 4: listen to him when that.
- 27:57Speaker 1: One, No, No, you don't. You don't have to. You
- 27:59Speaker 1: don't have to. You may not have been listening to
- 28:01Speaker 1: seven to ten wor for a long time. Now you
- 28:03Speaker 1: have a friend of your own back. When Nancy joins
- 28:07Speaker 1: me in the next hour. What we used to do
- 28:09Speaker 1: is for the holidays, we would come on here and
- 28:13Speaker 1: tend to all the shut ins and people at no one.
- 28:17Speaker 1: You know, these times of year for them can be
- 28:20Speaker 1: the most miserable times of the year. While others are
- 28:23Speaker 1: enjoying family and friends, there are a lot of people
- 28:27Speaker 1: they don't have family and friends who are either available
- 28:30Speaker 1: to them or are no longer around. And we used
- 28:32Speaker 1: to talk directly to them for hours and hours and hours.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Let's go to if we can. Anita, who is calling
- 28:45Speaker 1: from Maspith your turn to be heard here at seven
- 28:48Speaker 1: ten wor Anita, how you doing?
- 28:51Speaker 5: Curtis? I love listening to you on the radio now
- 28:55Speaker 5: and even more to actually speak to you in person.
- 28:58Speaker 5: I want you to know, on my property and on
- 29:02Speaker 5: my block, I had all the vote for Curtis signs
- 29:06Speaker 5: and I have a theory that I would like to
- 29:09Speaker 5: ask your opinion on. When I heard Greg Kelly and
- 29:15Speaker 5: Sid Rosenberg tell us to vote for Como, inside my
- 29:20Speaker 5: body I kept saying, what if they had said vote
- 29:24Speaker 5: for Curtis or wouldn't you I believe then have become
- 29:29Speaker 5: our mayor. Now if they would have talked in.
- 29:31Speaker 1: That vein, no, I would have had a much better shadow.
- 29:34Speaker 1: We'll tell you this though, I will be traveling with
- 29:37Speaker 1: my wife Nancy to visit her side of the family.
- 29:41Speaker 1: We'll be up in Capital Land, Albany, Rensalier, Troy, and
- 29:46Speaker 1: we'll be going for her mom and her stepdad's house
- 29:49Speaker 1: from Pennsylvania, so we'll be on the road. I have
- 29:53Speaker 1: it on pretty good authority. I have to check it
- 29:55Speaker 1: out in Capital Land while I'm there. The Republican leadership
- 30:01Speaker 1: through Congresswoman Elised staphonic under the bus YEP again on
- 30:07Speaker 1: behalf of a Democrat. That grifter Kathy Hokl who you
- 30:13Speaker 1: saw in New York City yesterday basically having a love
- 30:17Speaker 1: fest with Eric Adams swagger man with no plan. Maybe
- 30:21Speaker 1: she's going to give him a parade through the canyony
- 30:23Speaker 1: heroes just to get him the hell out of here.
- 30:26Speaker 1: You know where he was. He traveled at our expense
- 30:29Speaker 1: to Israel, Uzbekistan that he can't even find on a map, Mexico,
- 30:33Speaker 1: and now we find out he went to Georgia and
- 30:36Speaker 1: not Atlanta, Georgia, the country the home of Joe Stalin.
- 30:41Speaker 1: He was in Tubilisi for a grand opening of a
- 30:44Speaker 1: five star hotel, probably getting wine dined in pocket lined man.
- 30:50Speaker 1: I can't wait till we are finished with a guy
- 30:57Speaker 1: who for four years pimped or row at tax pay
- 31:02Speaker 1: us expense, barmbing up in the bullpen. The best thing
- 31:08Speaker 1: that ever happened to me animal lover extraordinaire my wife Nancy,
- 31:13Speaker 1: who will be joining all of us by phone in
- 31:16Speaker 1: the next hour as she is getting ready for our
- 31:19Speaker 1: trip to family members and friends who out to try
- 31:23Speaker 1: state area. Right here on your place to be seven
- 31:25Speaker 1: to ten wor.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Talk Radio with Street Crag literally Curtis sleaywad joined sevent
- 31:32Speaker 2: ten WR to guess those from Mark.
- 31:35Speaker 6: Samo And this has been a wonderful Christmas present to
- 31:42Speaker 6: be back on the air at the Newfound station for
- 31:47Speaker 6: so many of you, and my wife Nancy and I
- 31:50Speaker 6: seven ten WR.
- 31:53Speaker 1: More importantly, Nancy, are you there? Do we have Nancy
- 32:00Speaker 1: on the line?
- 32:02Speaker 3: Yes?
- 32:02Speaker 1: Hello, oh yeah, oh yeah. We're getting here a little earlyer,
- 32:05Speaker 1: just a little bit of a tease into the next hour.
- 32:08Speaker 1: You'll be with us a whole hour. But I remember
- 32:11Speaker 1: how you would join me often during the holidays, the
- 32:14Speaker 1: holiday atself, when there were so many shut ins and
- 32:17Speaker 1: lonely people, the worst day of the year for them,
- 32:21Speaker 1: and you would bring joy to them over the airwaves.
- 32:24Speaker 1: We're going to continue that tradition right here in the
- 32:27Speaker 1: next hour and also talk about animal rescue and all
- 32:34Speaker 1: the people who have decided to make fun of not
- 32:38Speaker 1: just you and me, but so many out there that
- 32:42Speaker 1: we know are dedicated to their pets who are like
- 32:45Speaker 1: family members and friends and ferrow animals who live out
- 32:49Speaker 1: in the fields or maybe their backyard or out in
- 32:52Speaker 1: their barn wherever they are listening here to seven to
- 32:56Speaker 1: ten WORS. I know you're getting ready for our state
- 33:00Speaker 1: extravagance as we go from place to place visiting your
- 33:05Speaker 1: family members. Are you up for it?
- 33:08Speaker 4: Yes, I am definitely up for it.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Yeah. And in fact, and Nancy likes that dog show
- 33:12Speaker 1: that is here on WOR. I think it's nine o'clock
- 33:15Speaker 1: on Saturdays. Very good, Very good. You don't want to
- 33:19Speaker 1: go anywhere. The best part of the Sleiwad family is
- 33:21Speaker 1: coming up next. The best thing that ever happened to me,
- 33:25Speaker 1: Nancy Slee. We're right here at seven to ten WOR.
