- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody,
- 0:07Speaker 1: you all listening to the voice, come on, dig me now.
- 0:09Speaker 1: One and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man
- 0:14Speaker 1: got a radio show because God is in a blessing business.
- 0:18Speaker 1: I just happen to be a recipient. I just happened
- 0:21Speaker 1: to got a couple of things right, and man, his
- 0:28Speaker 1: grace and mercy carries you the rest of the way.
- 0:31Speaker 1: All you got to do is get a couple of
- 0:34Speaker 1: things right, and then his grace and his mercy will
- 0:37Speaker 1: take over his favor, his love of you. It's it's
- 0:42Speaker 1: already evident. I mean, you know, because so many times
- 0:44Speaker 1: we go along without even acknowledging him or conferring with
- 0:48Speaker 1: him in our decisions, and we look up when we
- 0:51Speaker 1: find ourselves in a predicament and He always comes comes
- 0:55Speaker 1: to the rescue. He always manages to show up. He's
- 1:01Speaker 1: never too late, he's never one minute too late. And
- 1:04Speaker 1: so in light of this today I wanted to talk
- 1:08Speaker 1: to you about something. It's another principle of success that
- 1:15Speaker 1: I'd like to share with everybody this morning. And once again,
- 1:18Speaker 1: these are not things that you don't know or you've
- 1:21Speaker 1: never heard before. These are just reminders along the way.
- 1:27Speaker 1: And one of the things you have to be conscious
- 1:29Speaker 1: of is don't be afraid to change. Don't be afraid
- 1:33Speaker 1: to change because change is coming anyway. See, I have
- 1:38Speaker 1: a theory, don't be afraid to change because change is
- 1:42Speaker 1: coming anyway. You know, everything changes, nothing remains the same nothing,
- 1:48Speaker 1: and change is inevitable. Now, you could participate in the change,
- 1:54Speaker 1: or you can react to the change. Are you following me?
- 2:00Speaker 1: You can participate in the change or you can react
- 2:04Speaker 1: to the change. But don't be afraid to change because
- 2:09Speaker 1: change is coming anyway. Now, what I mean by that
- 2:12Speaker 1: is this, in participating in the change or reacting in
- 2:18Speaker 1: the change, there is a difference. See, if you react
- 2:22Speaker 1: to the change, that means the change has occurred and
- 2:26Speaker 1: now you have to make the necessary adjustments to the change. Example,
- 2:32Speaker 1: the boss walks in. You think your job is good.
- 2:35Speaker 1: The boss walks in and hands you a pink slip.
- 2:38Speaker 1: That right there, that's a change. Now you didn't participate
- 2:43Speaker 1: in this change because you didn't ask for the pink slip.
- 2:46Speaker 1: But now you got to react to the pink slip.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Whenever you have to react to the change, it's an
- 2:53Speaker 1: adjustment period. It almost throws you off. So change going
- 3:00Speaker 1: to come. It always does. You could participate or you
- 3:06Speaker 1: can react. Or let's say your boss comes in and
- 3:12Speaker 1: hands you the pink slip, and you said, you know
- 3:15Speaker 1: what I've been preparing for this day? Always knew nothing.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Last forever, I've been working on the sideline, on the
- 3:25Speaker 1: business idea I had, and I had, or I had
- 3:28Speaker 1: several other applications in around town. I was just holding
- 3:32Speaker 1: off to see what was going going. So when they
- 3:34Speaker 1: hand you the pink slip, the transition, the adjustment you
- 3:38Speaker 1: make is a lot more smooth transition because now you
- 3:41Speaker 1: just transition into your new business idea that you've been
- 3:44Speaker 1: working on. Are you transitioning into the apps you already
- 3:47Speaker 1: had in or the contacts you made the preparation for
- 3:51Speaker 1: when the day they come in hand you the pink slip, Well, Steve,
- 3:54Speaker 1: what did they surprise you with it? This is just
- 3:56Speaker 1: one example I'm giving you. So you know, let's let's
- 4:00Speaker 1: not nick picked the message. So what I'm saying to
- 4:04Speaker 1: everybody is, don't be afraid to change, because change is
- 4:08Speaker 1: coming anyway. So many people are stuck in a rut
- 4:13Speaker 1: because of our refusal to change. I was hell bent
- 4:19Speaker 1: on a certain thing going a certain way, and this
- 4:22Speaker 1: is how it was gonna go. Well, that that I
- 4:25Speaker 1: was thinking didn't really fit. Now, in my own personal experience,
- 4:29Speaker 1: this may not be yours, but in my own personal experience,
- 4:33Speaker 1: the things that I've had the most trouble letting go
- 4:36Speaker 1: of was something I wanted when I line myself up
- 4:42Speaker 1: with the will of God to ask God what he
- 4:44Speaker 1: wanted from me. You understand, those things came a lot
- 4:50Speaker 1: more easy to me because it was in the will
- 4:54Speaker 1: of God. It was what God wanted me to do too. Okay,
- 4:56Speaker 1: see what you mean by that? Okay, here we go.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Things were going wrong in relationships. For me. What I
- 5:06Speaker 1: did was the biggest mistake I've ever made. Was I
- 5:10Speaker 1: attempted to fix what was wrong in my relationship outside
- 5:14Speaker 1: of the relationship. Feel me. Okay, So I'm out there
- 5:19Speaker 1: working my groove like I want to. Well, now, guess what.
- 5:24Speaker 1: There's the cause and effect for all of that too.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Your house ain't gonna get better, it can't. And then
- 5:32Speaker 1: that lays room for some other things. And so now
- 5:36Speaker 1: when the change come, guess what I got to react
- 5:39Speaker 1: to it? Now, I gotta, I gotta, I gotta have
- 5:42Speaker 1: a reaction to it. Had I lined myself up in
- 5:46Speaker 1: the will of God, the transition may have grown differently.
- 5:51Speaker 1: It could have still ended the relationship. But guess what,
- 5:56Speaker 1: some of the pain I was in I ain't had
- 5:58Speaker 1: to go through. I bought a lot on myself. Sometimes
- 6:03Speaker 1: you're pursuing a passion of yours, and what God really
- 6:08Speaker 1: wants you to do is pursue your gift. So now
- 6:11Speaker 1: you're pursuing your passion, right, you passion about golf. You
- 6:15Speaker 1: love golf so much, you just determine. But now you're
- 6:19Speaker 1: messed around. You ain't made it on the PGA Tour yet,
- 6:22Speaker 1: and you forty five, still talking about I'm gonna play
- 6:25Speaker 1: on the PGA Tour. Really okay, Maybe you ain't as
- 6:29Speaker 1: good as this you think, or maybe you're not as
- 6:31Speaker 1: gifted as you think. Maybe you're pursuing a passion. Sometimes, man,
- 6:35Speaker 1: we have to change and we have to ask God
- 6:39Speaker 1: what is his will? His will is much simpler. It's
- 6:42Speaker 1: a simpler rule. Not going to be easier, it's simpler.
- 6:47Speaker 1: See when I wake up now, it's simple for me
- 6:49Speaker 1: to wake up because I know that are few things
- 6:52Speaker 1: that I have to do. I have to click this
- 6:56Speaker 1: mic on. I have to be positive, I have to
- 6:59Speaker 1: be as I have to be informative, I have to
- 7:03Speaker 1: be uplifting. Got it, That's what he want. All I
- 7:06Speaker 1: got to do is sit down, close my eyes, ask
- 7:09Speaker 1: God to help me be who he want me to be.
- 7:13Speaker 1: And for the most part, he tell me what to say. Now,
- 7:17Speaker 1: guess what he's done though, to create this in me.
- 7:20Speaker 1: I went through enough things in my life. I had
- 7:24Speaker 1: enough challenges. I made plenty of mistakes. So now at
- 7:28Speaker 1: my age, I can turn around and tell somebody listening
- 7:30Speaker 1: to me, Okay, this is what I did. This is
- 7:32Speaker 1: a mistake I made. Maybe you see yourself in this
- 7:34Speaker 1: story right here. Maybe you don't have to go this way.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Or this is what I've learned about becoming successful. Here's
- 7:40Speaker 1: a principle that I learned. But then, guess what I
- 7:42Speaker 1: had to be unsuccessful to get it though, didn't I?
- 7:46Speaker 1: So you can't have a testimony without a test Change
- 7:49Speaker 1: is coming. It's inevitable. You can participate or you can react.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I much prefer to participate in the change. All right,
- 7:57Speaker 1: let's go. Steve Harvey Morning Show
