- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: It's the almost famous podcast, and we're here today, back
- 0:09Speaker 2: with you, and as we enter into the new year,
- 0:12Speaker 2: it's great to set intentions. We want to kick this
- 0:15Speaker 2: off talking to my wife Jess, who made a great
- 0:18Speaker 2: social media video about what she wants in and out
- 0:24Speaker 2: for twenty twenty six. Ashley, I feel like this is
- 0:28Speaker 2: a conversation I'm intrigued by. But I also feel like
- 0:32Speaker 2: I could really quickly tell you my ins and outs,
- 0:35Speaker 2: and they're very, very few. My ends for twenty twenty
- 0:39Speaker 2: six are I want to continue to get eight hours
- 0:42Speaker 2: of sleep a night. I want to drink more water.
- 0:46Speaker 2: I want to work out more. I want to read more.
- 0:51Speaker 2: I guess that's my big in. My outs are social
- 0:54Speaker 2: media scrolling. I'm done with it, and I really mean it.
- 0:56Speaker 2: I'm done with it. It's never good for me, Ashley.
- 0:58Speaker 2: It brings on jealousy, envy, and I just like I'm
- 1:01Speaker 2: not a better man when I do it, and as
- 1:03Speaker 2: a result, I do think my social media will take
- 1:05Speaker 2: a hit. However, it's healthier for me and I got
- 1:07Speaker 2: to make those decisions for me and my family. That's
- 1:10Speaker 2: a big out that it's going to be difficult.
- 1:13Speaker 3: But it's an out.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I'm also going to Another out for me is politics.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I've stayed really involved in politics in twenty twenty five,
- 1:23Speaker 2: trying to figure out what in the world was happening
- 1:25Speaker 2: in this world and why people are doing what they're doing,
- 1:27Speaker 2: and who's doing what and all that. At the end
- 1:30Speaker 2: of the day, those people are no. I don't know
- 1:34Speaker 2: if they know more than me, but there's a lot
- 1:35Speaker 2: going on behind the scenes that I can never keep
- 1:37Speaker 2: up with, and so it was just exhausting. Social media
- 1:40Speaker 2: politics outs for me. Another out for me is chips.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I'm gonna cut back on my chipen.
- 1:50Speaker 4: No no no to eat these chips that I have discovered.
- 1:54Speaker 4: They're called masa.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Oh they're so good. I had to hold back.
- 2:00Speaker 4: I didn't really I eat the whole bag too. In
- 2:02Speaker 4: a serving, I mean, like in a sitting.
- 2:03Speaker 3: I don't know if that's better.
- 2:04Speaker 4: It doesn't have it doesn't have any seed oils. It's
- 2:08Speaker 4: only beef, tallow corn and sea salt and the crunch
- 2:12Speaker 4: of these things.
- 2:13Speaker 5: The textures out of this waw so good, so good.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Okay, So that's mine.
- 2:19Speaker 3: That wasn't an ad guys, I just love the MASSA.
- 2:21Speaker 2: They're really good. I'm with you. I'm going to pass
- 2:25Speaker 2: this off to a better co host than me, Jessica.
- 2:28Speaker 2: She's going to sit down in my seat. Well, I'll
- 2:30Speaker 2: take the baby for a walk. You guys, finish up
- 2:33Speaker 2: the ins and outs from twenty twenty six from a
- 2:35Speaker 2: girl's perspective, because she knows a lot more about this
- 2:38Speaker 2: than I do.
- 2:40Speaker 4: So jess let's go down your ins and outs, which
- 2:43Speaker 4: I did love. I remember that like threw me back
- 2:46Speaker 4: to the early two thousands when the magazines would all
- 2:49Speaker 4: do ins and outs, like People magazine had a huge
- 2:51Speaker 4: issue about that.
- 2:52Speaker 6: And I was such a magazine girl. And I still
- 2:55Speaker 6: like subscribe to all the online ones since I love
- 2:58Speaker 6: reading like ins and outs or like seeing best reress list,
- 3:01Speaker 6: like it's one of my favorite parts of the year.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Okay, so you did your outs late night screens, I'm
- 3:08Speaker 4: gonna I'm gonna talk about each one as we go
- 3:11Speaker 4: down to late night screens. I one of my resolutions
- 3:17Speaker 4: is to not do late night scrolling.
- 3:19Speaker 3: So at ten pm, because I'm a.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Night owl, I'll like stay up till one, which I
- 3:23Speaker 4: really need to stop doing that, like really make at
- 3:26Speaker 4: least twelve thirty for my bedtime, but from ten to
- 3:29Speaker 4: twelve thirty, I want no scrolling. Like if I have
- 3:32Speaker 4: to respond to a text or whatever, that's fine, but
- 3:35Speaker 4: no scrolling. And I want I wanted to make more
- 3:40Speaker 4: TV into my life. I know more people are be
- 3:42Speaker 4: like you should read in bed, and I no, I
- 3:45Speaker 4: like want to like be invested in shows and like
- 3:48Speaker 4: watch two hours of TV because that is my ultimate
- 3:51Speaker 4: relaxing time.
- 3:53Speaker 6: Like me time fictional or non fictional shows.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Anything, just like whatever is popular, and like I'm into
- 3:59Speaker 4: like I just I love shows and I don't watch
- 4:02Speaker 4: enough shows. It takes me, you know, with the kids
- 4:05Speaker 4: and me scrolling in bed, I'll like watch one show
- 4:10Speaker 4: a day and it'll take me forever to get through
- 4:11Speaker 4: a series. And I'm like, you know what, I need
- 4:14Speaker 4: to just have more TV time my life.
- 4:17Speaker 3: I love that for you.
- 4:18Speaker 6: I used to be a huge reader and then I
- 4:21Speaker 6: stopped reading because I got into TV. And so that's
- 4:24Speaker 6: where that out came from. Is I want to like
- 4:27Speaker 6: actually read again. I miss it.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Okay, Yeah, that's like really relaxing for me.
- 4:33Speaker 4: I also once having the kids, I used to read too,
- 4:36Speaker 4: because I used to be able to have so much
- 4:38Speaker 4: more time to watch TV that I'd be like, Okay,
- 4:41Speaker 4: in bed, I'll read and Jay and I would read there.
- 4:43Speaker 4: But now I'm like, well, if I got to pick
- 4:45Speaker 4: one or the other, that's the one. Okay, overthinking things?
- 4:50Speaker 4: Are you an overthinker?
- 4:52Speaker 6: I used to not be. Then I became one, like
- 4:55Speaker 6: when I started my skincare clinic and then started to
- 4:58Speaker 6: like post more online, started to overthink things a little
- 5:01Speaker 6: bit more. I need to think more about like my
- 5:05Speaker 6: words before I speak them, I think, but I overthink
- 5:08Speaker 6: things after the fact, and I need to stop doing
- 5:11Speaker 6: that because then you just stay up all night.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not an over I don't think I've really
- 5:17Speaker 4: ever been an overthinker. Maybe in my twenties, like overanalyzing
- 5:19Speaker 4: boy situations, but I think I've only over analyzed boy situations.
- 5:23Speaker 6: I never have which for better or worse.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Yeah, you were just chilled the boys and then you
- 5:29Speaker 4: got a DM from Ben Higgins and it.
- 5:31Speaker 3: All worked out.
- 5:33Speaker 6: No, I literally never even had a boyfriend before Ben,
- 5:36Speaker 6: so that's probably like not a great thing.
- 5:41Speaker 5: So then you say rushing, I totally relate to that.
- 5:45Speaker 4: I am always rushing because it takes getting out of
- 5:49Speaker 4: the house with kids forever, and then like I think
- 5:53Speaker 4: I a lot enough time to do it, and I don't.
- 5:57Speaker 4: It's kind of like bedtime for the kids too. It's like, oh,
- 6:00Speaker 4: like forty five minutes for bedtime routine should be enough.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Just like forty five minutes to get them and myself
- 6:08Speaker 4: dressed and Keith brushing out of the house should be enough.
- 6:12Speaker 4: But then you realize that, like it me take like
- 6:15Speaker 4: a full blown Disney movie to do that, Like it's
- 6:18Speaker 4: like an hour and twenty minutes.
- 6:20Speaker 6: Yeah, especially I can't imagine with two kids, because like
- 6:24Speaker 6: getting me and Winnie ready to go, and then like
- 6:26Speaker 6: you arrive at the place and you have to get
- 6:27Speaker 6: ready to go again. Like everything takes time, and I've
- 6:31Speaker 6: been trying to fit too much into a day, and
- 6:33Speaker 6: then I don't enjoy it as much because I miss
- 6:35Speaker 6: like the little moments with her that I know, like
- 6:38Speaker 6: she's already almost one, and I feel like I can
- 6:41Speaker 6: barely remember some things, and so I just want to
- 6:43Speaker 6: be ultra present, and I think that's slowing down has
- 6:45Speaker 6: a lot to do with that. So scheduling like one
- 6:48Speaker 6: activity a day or one destination and then just kind
- 6:52Speaker 6: of chilling.
- 6:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I totally agree. Just being more present.
- 6:56Speaker 4: And I think that sometimes for moms finding myself in
- 7:01Speaker 4: this situation, because we seemingly may have like been able
- 7:05Speaker 4: to get like a couple more hours of help, and
- 7:07Speaker 4: like I struggle with the Okay, so if we have
- 7:10Speaker 4: our nanny over for a few more hours a week,
- 7:13Speaker 4: that makes me feel guilty though, because I'm not spending
- 7:15Speaker 4: those time that time with my kids. But then I go,
- 7:18Speaker 4: you know what, You're going to spend more quality time
- 7:20Speaker 4: with the kids because you're not going to be trying
- 7:23Speaker 4: to cram in work on your phone when you're with them.
- 7:27Speaker 4: You're not going to like put a movie on so
- 7:29Speaker 4: that you could be on the computer. So even though
- 7:32Speaker 4: they might be with somebody else or a few more hours,
- 7:34Speaker 4: like you'll be so much more present with them the
- 7:37Speaker 4: time that you have.
- 7:38Speaker 6: Yes, and it matters more to them to get that attention. Yeah,
- 7:40Speaker 6: it's like no matter what, And like that's why I
- 7:43Speaker 6: wake up early. That's why I've like put these things
- 7:45Speaker 6: in because we don't have like in house help right now.
- 7:49Speaker 6: It's me and Ben the alternative, but like when it's
- 7:52Speaker 6: when it's my turn, like I want to be so present,
- 7:56Speaker 6: so sputting all the things away and doing it during
- 7:59Speaker 6: that time or something.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly, snoozing alarms. I'm not gonna subscribe to that.
- 8:16Speaker 4: I like to snooze.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Snoozer. Washing your hair every day? You would wash your
- 8:26Speaker 3: hair every day.
- 8:27Speaker 6: I desperately need tomte obviously it's I have a mask
- 8:30Speaker 6: in it right now. It gets greasy so fast. But
- 8:33Speaker 6: when it's clean, it looks so good. And I love
- 8:35Speaker 6: how it looks when it's clean.
- 8:37Speaker 3: That's so funny because you saw them. I did this.
- 8:40Speaker 4: I took your inspiration and I made my own kind
- 8:44Speaker 4: of like small goals for the year, and I posted
- 8:47Speaker 4: that yesterday and I said, washing my hair more, not
- 8:50Speaker 4: every day, I am so bad, Like I'll do once
- 8:53Speaker 4: a week. But my hair used to be so greasy.
- 8:57Speaker 4: But when I'm on Sporona lactone, Yes, it's not that
- 9:01Speaker 4: it's not that greasy because it cuts that you know
- 9:03Speaker 4: that oil production gland stuff out. But every time I
- 9:09Speaker 4: wash my hair, like the next morning, because I was
- 9:11Speaker 4: it at night, I like look in the mirror and
- 9:12Speaker 4: be like, wow, you looks super frustrated, Like why do
- 9:14Speaker 4: you look so much better than you usually do. I'm
- 9:16Speaker 4: like Oh, that's because you washed your hair last night.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Woman.
- 9:19Speaker 5: So if you can at least do it twice a week,
- 9:21Speaker 5: that'll be good.
- 9:22Speaker 6: Yeah. I was a once a weeker, but I've upped
- 9:24Speaker 6: it to twice, so we're like easing our way in.
- 9:26Speaker 6: But when I do it, I feel so much better.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 9:29Speaker 4: I say hangovers. How often would you get a hangover?
- 9:32Speaker 4: I feel like you don't even you wouldn't often get
- 9:34Speaker 4: a hang.
- 9:34Speaker 6: Well, the problem is not like I already was such
- 9:37Speaker 6: a lightweight. Then I didn't drink for like two years
- 9:39Speaker 6: between trying to get pregnant, being pregnant, and then like
- 9:42Speaker 6: when I was breastfeeding, I would like drink a little
- 9:44Speaker 6: bit and not use that breast smoke or whatever, and
- 9:48Speaker 6: a couple drinks and I'm on my butt. So I'm
- 9:50Speaker 6: trying to be more strategic, okay, because it is something
- 9:53Speaker 6: that like I do enjoy, but I don't want to
- 9:55Speaker 6: be hungover because being a parent hungover is.
- 9:58Speaker 4: I can't even tell at this point whether it's like
- 10:01Speaker 4: the one glass of wine that I had the night
- 10:03Speaker 4: before that gives me a headache in the morning, or
- 10:05Speaker 4: whether it's just hormonal or being old, or like being
- 10:10Speaker 4: dehydrated by just not the wine but not drinking enough water.
- 10:14Speaker 4: You never know what it's, you know, being caused by.
- 10:16Speaker 4: But I can't say I've had a hangover in a
- 10:20Speaker 4: very long time. But I take precaution, Like if I
- 10:23Speaker 4: go to a Jonus concert and that's usually where I
- 10:26Speaker 4: like go hard, you know, like three drinks and I'm
- 10:28Speaker 4: like really feeling it. I you know, I had the fattiest,
- 10:33Speaker 4: greasiest meal afterward, I'm usually okay. I feel before you
- 10:37Speaker 4: go to bed, work out longer than thirty minutes. If
- 10:41Speaker 4: only I could work out for thirty minutes.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Wasn't that my out?
- 10:45Speaker 6: Though I don't want to work out for longer than that.
- 10:48Speaker 3: You're out is longer than thirty minutes.
- 10:50Speaker 4: You're right, I feel like, especially as women like, we
- 10:52Speaker 4: just do not have to go over thirty minutes. And
- 10:54Speaker 4: I sorry, I'm like babbling. You're very easy to talk
- 10:57Speaker 4: to you, Jess.
- 10:58Speaker 3: I miss you. I don't miss see.
- 11:01Speaker 4: When I did work out before I had the kids,
- 11:05Speaker 4: that was my goal where I was like, you know what,
- 11:07Speaker 4: you don't have to do more than thirty forty minutes
- 11:10Speaker 4: on a long day, because then you'll actually do.
- 11:13Speaker 6: It exactly if you're like, okay, twenty minutes, Like you
- 11:16Speaker 6: can do twenty minutes, that's like a quarter of an
- 11:19Speaker 6: app But yeah, if you are like an hour, there's
- 11:22Speaker 6: just no way.
- 11:24Speaker 4: All right, I'm going to go into your inns because
- 11:27Speaker 4: these are great for the ladies out there and reapplying
- 11:31Speaker 4: SPF throughout the day.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Do you do this if you have makeup on with
- 11:35Speaker 3: one of the powders.
- 11:36Speaker 6: I do it with a powder or the Have you
- 11:38Speaker 6: seen the Skin Better Compact?
- 11:40Speaker 3: That's yeah. I love the Skin Better Compact.
- 11:42Speaker 6: It's so incredible, so good, and if you apply it
- 11:45Speaker 6: with a makeup brush, it's even better.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Like makeup. It is the best. I'm telling you guys.
- 11:52Speaker 4: If you ever needed something that was somewhere between a
- 11:55Speaker 4: tinted moisturizer to a full fledged foundation.
- 11:58Speaker 5: This thing matches your skin tone.
- 12:01Speaker 4: It has this magic power to it where it matches
- 12:04Speaker 4: whatever your skin color is.
- 12:06Speaker 3: I it's amazing.
- 12:09Speaker 6: It's totally acne safe too, SPS sixty eight. It's got
- 12:14Speaker 6: physical protected in it. It's amazing.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Mm hm, it's so it's so so good.
- 12:19Speaker 4: Glayskin donut at night, glaze skin glazed donut skin at night.
- 12:24Speaker 5: What's your best what's your best so tip for that.
- 12:28Speaker 6: I don't think people moisturize enough you especially going to bed.
- 12:32Speaker 6: That's like your recovery time for your skin. It's under
- 12:34Speaker 6: so much strust during the day, so you really do
- 12:36Speaker 6: want to like almost look sticky when you go to bed.
- 12:39Speaker 6: The other night, Ben came in and he goes, I
- 12:41Speaker 6: have my donut skin, like, did it carried?
- 12:44Speaker 3: He's so cute. That is so amazing. I have found
- 12:47Speaker 3: that this winter, being.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Just absolutely brutally cold in the Northeast, that my skin
- 12:52Speaker 4: that normally isn't dry or flaky is freaking flaking.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 12:57Speaker 6: So even layering like an oil or goog has this
- 13:00Speaker 6: bomb and it's totally non poor clogging acne safe. If
- 13:04Speaker 6: you layer it on top of areas, especially that get
- 13:06Speaker 6: flaky before you go to bed, it's you'll wake up
- 13:09Speaker 6: with like the most amazing skin and none of that flakiness.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Okay, great.
- 13:13Speaker 4: And if you do have flakiness, what do you like
- 13:15Speaker 4: to use as an exfoliant to get that off before
- 13:18Speaker 4: you do a fresh start?
- 13:19Speaker 6: I would use an enzyme when it's like wintertime, because
- 13:23Speaker 6: sometimes scrubs if you're already feeling flaky and red it
- 13:27Speaker 6: can be a little bit too intense, and then if
- 13:29Speaker 6: a serum burns, you probably don't want to use that. Yeah,
- 13:32Speaker 6: enzymes are super gentle. They're like little pac men on
- 13:35Speaker 6: the skin, so they're just eating away dead skin. And
- 13:38Speaker 6: Epicutus has a really good one that you can add
- 13:41Speaker 6: to any cleanser. So that one's great, and it lasts
- 13:43Speaker 6: for like a year, it lasts forever.
- 13:45Speaker 4: I'm obsessed with the fact that you just call it
- 13:47Speaker 4: a pac man for your skin, because that's exactly what
- 13:50Speaker 4: I need right now.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Yes, I'll send you one, No really.
- 13:54Speaker 4: Yeah, Okay, let's see what other skincareed trends are we
- 14:01Speaker 4: gonna see in twenty twenty six.
- 14:03Speaker 3: You think as an esthetician guys.
- 14:06Speaker 6: I know exi zomes are really big, but there's not
- 14:09Speaker 6: a ton of research on them, so I would say
- 14:11Speaker 6: that's going to be a proceed with caution one, especially
- 14:13Speaker 6: if they're human derived, because sometimes that can end up
- 14:18Speaker 6: causing more problems than benefiting. But they're meant to be
- 14:21Speaker 6: like little messengers, so they're supposed to tell your skin
- 14:24Speaker 6: how to function more properly. So yeah, it could be
- 14:27Speaker 6: a great thing, but those are going to be really
- 14:29Speaker 6: in as like acid is having a moment. It's not
- 14:32Speaker 6: really an acid though. It's more of like a skin calmer,
- 14:36Speaker 6: so don't think of it as like you could use
- 14:38Speaker 6: it in conjunction with other acids. It's not going to
- 14:41Speaker 6: be too much, but it's gonna help with redness. Those
- 14:43Speaker 6: are the two big ones I.
- 14:45Speaker 3: See what skincare outs are there.
- 14:47Speaker 6: I think a really big out is going to be
- 14:51Speaker 6: overexploiting that one's been out for a while. I think
- 14:54Speaker 6: really intensive treatments are going to be out because people
- 14:57Speaker 6: are realizing they can get the same results with less
- 14:59Speaker 6: down time. So I think things that like take you
- 15:02Speaker 6: out for a whole week or make your skin super red,
- 15:05Speaker 6: we're seeing that's causing more damage than benefits because you
- 15:09Speaker 6: can get bounced back issues. So like if you're doing
- 15:12Speaker 6: something for your malasma, like a laser really deep peel,
- 15:15Speaker 6: you can get bounced back malasma if you're not taking
- 15:17Speaker 6: care of it afterwards. So I think those really intensive
- 15:20Speaker 6: treatments are going to be out.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Oh my goodness, this is so compelling.
- 15:24Speaker 6: I can talk about this for literally seven hours.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 15:28Speaker 4: On your ends list, you say quality personalized skincare. So
- 15:32Speaker 4: how do you recommend people get personalized skincare.
- 15:36Speaker 6: That's where, like I mean, obviously I'm biased because my
- 15:38Speaker 6: job is to be an esthetician, but I think seeing
- 15:41Speaker 6: someone who can tell you even there's so much virtual
- 15:44Speaker 6: stuff you can do now where you can need a
- 15:46Speaker 6: chat with someone virtually or even upload a photo and
- 15:48Speaker 6: get a personalized recommendation from like a brand or a
- 15:51Speaker 6: website you love. Yeah, but that's what's more important than
- 15:54Speaker 6: whatever your favorite influencer is talking about. So when I
- 15:57Speaker 6: talk about skincare, I try to be really specific about
- 15:59Speaker 6: who it's for, because is what I use might not
- 16:01Speaker 6: work for you. We have different skin, and if you'd
- 16:03Speaker 6: just keep like trying things and spending money, you can
- 16:06Speaker 6: again cause more harm than good because if you keep
- 16:08Speaker 6: switching up your products looking for something that works that
- 16:11Speaker 6: can sensitize the skin, cause burrier issues. So you really
- 16:15Speaker 6: want to start with something that's like tailored towards you
- 16:19Speaker 6: and your concerns as opposed to just throwing something at
- 16:21Speaker 6: the want single sticks.
- 16:34Speaker 4: One of my resolutions ins whatever you want to call it,
- 16:38Speaker 4: for myself is that I want to like probably just
- 16:42Speaker 4: put a little bit more everything, like like what I said,
- 16:47Speaker 4: Like I washed my hair and I'm like, oh, it
- 16:48Speaker 4: looks nice. I curl my hair, which in my head
- 16:51Speaker 4: takes so long, but it really takes ten minutes.
- 16:54Speaker 3: And then I'm like, oh, that looks so nice, and.
- 16:56Speaker 4: Then just like ten minute makeup because if I really
- 17:01Speaker 4: timed it, I think that I look pretty nice after
- 17:04Speaker 4: just ten minutes of makeup. As a mom, how do
- 17:08Speaker 4: you How often do you put yourself together like that?
- 17:12Speaker 4: Because I do think most of us in this era
- 17:16Speaker 4: aren't doing it that often. And some people will argue
- 17:22Speaker 4: that it makes you feel so much better about yourself,
- 17:25Speaker 4: But then sometimes I'm like, ugh, but am I letting
- 17:29Speaker 4: my skin? Should I just be letting my skin breathe?
- 17:31Speaker 4: Like am I going to feel better about myself? And
- 17:33Speaker 4: I'm just like making my skin like super hydrated and
- 17:38Speaker 4: making it making it look perfect for a future moment?
- 17:42Speaker 3: That matters more?
- 17:43Speaker 4: Is that like the weirdest mentality, that's just what I've
- 17:46Speaker 4: had for a long time.
- 17:47Speaker 6: No, I totally get it. The thing like and now,
- 17:50Speaker 6: and especially like coming from early two thousands when we
- 17:53Speaker 6: learned how to use our makeup, like that stuff was
- 17:56Speaker 6: not good for your skin. But there's so much makeup
- 17:59Speaker 6: now that has skincare benefits. Okay, so if you're like
- 18:02Speaker 6: this makes me feel better, you can find makeup that's
- 18:05Speaker 6: going to actually help your skin. So like Color Science
- 18:08Speaker 6: and cl Are two brands their sin scream makeup. Yeah,
- 18:12Speaker 6: and that's great. It's so good for your skin. It's
- 18:13Speaker 6: going to add that protection. So when we talk about
- 18:15Speaker 6: reapplying like that minimizes that merit is really good for
- 18:20Speaker 6: your skin. It has skincare benefits. Typology is another one,
- 18:23Speaker 6: Like there's so many brands like that that actually can
- 18:26Speaker 6: enhance your skin. I have my makeup routine down to
- 18:29Speaker 6: three minutes.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Holy crap. Well that's because your skin is perfect.
- 18:33Speaker 4: That's like the problem is like I'm trying to cover
- 18:37Speaker 4: my skin for most of that time and then I
- 18:40Speaker 4: can just throw a maskara On and lipliner.
- 18:42Speaker 6: So maybe your resolution is like to get that skincare.
- 18:45Speaker 6: Invest in your skincare so you don't have to do
- 18:47Speaker 6: time for makeup.
- 18:49Speaker 4: No, you know this my skin. I'm the most regimented
- 18:53Speaker 4: about my skincare. It's just I'm so pegmented from past
- 18:57Speaker 4: acne and with molassma, I don't really mind the brown
- 19:01Speaker 4: spots as much as I mind the red spots, those
- 19:04Speaker 4: like bring me down. But that's what my goal in
- 19:07Speaker 4: life would be to just not have to wear foundation
- 19:11Speaker 4: and then to just do a little eye makeup. But
- 19:14Speaker 4: it'll probably never come and that's okay. But that is
- 19:17Speaker 4: really good advice that you're saying that don't feel guilty
- 19:21Speaker 4: about putting makeup on because it's not damaging your skin
- 19:25Speaker 4: if you choose the right brand. Because yes, in the
- 19:27Speaker 4: two thousands, everybody was like, well, you can put the
- 19:31Speaker 4: foundation on, but you're covering. But by you covering up,
- 19:34Speaker 4: it's gonna make it worse in the long run.
- 19:35Speaker 6: Yes, exactly. That doesn't exist anymore.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Yes, fantastic, This is a great time, all right. I
- 19:40Speaker 3: will end with one of mine that I think.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Is worth talking about to you because you and Ben,
- 19:50Speaker 4: I feel like you do your walks.
- 19:53Speaker 3: You're so good doing your walks.
- 19:57Speaker 4: I can feel in my body. I don't get like
- 20:00Speaker 4: seasonal depression. I get like seasonally bummed out because I'm
- 20:03Speaker 4: such a warm weather girl. I know that when I
- 20:06Speaker 4: lived in la I didn't miss the seasons at all.
- 20:08Speaker 4: I thought it was so wonderful and like I just
- 20:11Speaker 4: like love the heat and humidity of Florida, Like I
- 20:15Speaker 4: maybe should live in a in a non seasonal place.
- 20:19Speaker 4: But in Rhode Island, it's freaking freezing, so cold, and
- 20:23Speaker 4: it's so cold with you guys in Denver, how do
- 20:25Speaker 4: you get out comfortably and like want to actually be
- 20:29Speaker 4: out there? My body feels the depletion of the vitamin D,
- 20:33Speaker 4: Like I feel the lethargy that like I need fresh
- 20:36Speaker 4: air and I need sunlight and I just don't want
- 20:39Speaker 4: to get it because it's so uncomfortable.
- 20:41Speaker 6: Well, it's so different for you because you have like,
- 20:44Speaker 6: first of all, the wind, child the wind chill in
- 20:47Speaker 6: it's cloudy, Like we get sunshine most days at some
- 20:49Speaker 6: point the sun comes out. So it really is completely
- 20:52Speaker 6: different here than the Northeast. But I will say investing
- 20:56Speaker 6: in like a really good jacket is the best thing
- 20:58Speaker 6: I've ever done. And then Ben got me heated gloves
- 21:01Speaker 6: and like we wear hats, like you have to be
- 21:04Speaker 6: like overdressed for the elements and then you're comfortable. Yeah,
- 21:07Speaker 6: it takes us like five minutes to out the door
- 21:09Speaker 6: for a walk because I'm getting all the way dressed up.
- 21:12Speaker 4: Okay, Yeah, that's another thing. It's just like, oh is
- 21:15Speaker 4: it worth it to go through all of that bundling,
- 21:17Speaker 4: I know, and especially with the kids, like if I'm
- 21:20Speaker 4: gonna put Hayden in the stroller and take him like
- 21:23Speaker 4: is he cold?
- 21:24Speaker 3: Is he uncomfortable?
- 21:25Speaker 6: I know you have to overdress them and it does
- 21:27Speaker 6: take time, but we do feel so much better.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Okay, like it.
- 21:31Speaker 6: It helps our both of our moods so much.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Okay, all right, thank you, thank you for the urager.
- 21:37Speaker 4: Do it.
- 21:38Speaker 6: Just get a really good jacket. It's a good reason
- 21:40Speaker 6: to go shopping.
- 21:41Speaker 3: Oh, I have a really good one. It's long, it
- 21:43Speaker 3: comes down to my knees. Yeah, it's really good.
- 21:45Speaker 4: It is.
- 21:46Speaker 6: I can do it.
- 21:47Speaker 3: I can do it, all right. Okay.
- 21:50Speaker 4: Is there anything that you want Ben to do differently
- 21:53Speaker 4: in twenty twenty six? I have one for Jared and
- 21:56Speaker 4: he doesn't know, but I try to tears.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Okay.
- 22:02Speaker 4: The man has been like going a long bouts without shaving,
- 22:06Speaker 4: like trimming, because obviously I don't want him to shave.
- 22:09Speaker 4: I like him with like a two days graph, like
- 22:11Speaker 4: on one or two days graph, and he's been like.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Pushing ten days and I'm like, sir, can you trim?
- 22:18Speaker 3: You look like a billy goat.
- 22:20Speaker 4: So now whenever I don't say unless we have a
- 22:23Speaker 4: special occasion, and I'm like, are you gonna trim for that?
- 22:26Speaker 3: I'll just be like, he looks so nice.
- 22:28Speaker 4: He looks so good like this, like every time he
- 22:30Speaker 4: does freshly buzz. So that's my nearest revolution for Jared
- 22:34Speaker 4: is can you just like keep the billy goat.
- 22:36Speaker 6: Away from so you're just gonna hint at it a
- 22:39Speaker 6: little bit.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm just gonna keep hinting at it.
- 22:41Speaker 6: Okay.
- 22:42Speaker 3: He just like has the most beautiful bone structure, right.
- 22:45Speaker 6: His bone structure is yeah sae.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Yeah, And I'm like, when you have all those stringy hairs,
- 22:50Speaker 4: it just like takes away from it. Yeah, yeah, okay
- 22:54Speaker 4: and then nears.
- 22:55Speaker 6: For Ben, it's a good question. I haven't thought about this.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Not that it's like appropriate to have a resolution for
- 23:02Speaker 4: your husband, but mine's pretty light, so I thought i'd
- 23:05Speaker 4: throw it out there.
- 23:06Speaker 6: I know, I mean, he's just so handsome. I can't
- 23:09Speaker 6: think of anything. But I do think I want him
- 23:12Speaker 6: to like talk nicer to himself. I think he can
- 23:16Speaker 6: be self deprecating. Okay, that's good, and he shouldn't be
- 23:20Speaker 6: because he's amazing and I wish that he saw himself
- 23:24Speaker 6: the way that I did.
- 23:25Speaker 3: I know that's so true. Ditto for Jared on that
- 23:27Speaker 3: one as well. Already.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Well, I guess that wraps it up. Appreciate you coming
- 23:32Speaker 4: on doing this, This is fun, sure, all right. Well, until
- 23:35Speaker 4: next time, I've been Ashley, I've been Jess.
- 23:39Speaker 5: Bye.
