Dimension X - "Mars Is Heaven" (1951)
Dimension X presents “Mars Is Heaven,” episode 33, originally broadcast on January 7, 1951. This NBC science-fiction drama is a rebroadcast of the production first heard on July 7, 1950, adapted by Ernest Kinoy from Ray Bradbury’s short story “Mars Is Heaven!”
In 1987, Captain John Black leads Earth’s first expedition to Mars, where the crew finds heavy mist and an impossible-looking American small town seemingly preserved from the 1920s. Wendell Holmes stars as Captain Black, with Peter Capell as Dr. Horst and Norman Rose as narrator.
