Today, RÚV English is on the lookout for an elusive and ancient creature. Lagarfjlót is a narrow lake in the east of Iceland. You can follow it south as you drive from Egilsstaðir. The stunning beauty of the lake is far from its only attraction. According to legend, the deep lake is said to hold a beast called the Lagarfljót Wyrm, of whom there have been apparent sightings and reports since 1345.
