- 6:05[SPEAKER_08]: You just heard and there's also it's a one of the records.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_08]: Well, we're going to break one today.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_08]: It looks like.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not upon all the course.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not a weather person, right?
- 6:17[SPEAKER_08]: Not a professional weathercaster.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_08]: not my job to be up on it.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_08]: But every time for this time of year is seventy five so we are fifteen degrees above normal today.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_08]: Wow.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_08]: Wow that's a lot.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_08]: And it's what August the twelfth.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_08]: It's you want to be something going to be something.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_08]: Yep you have a child.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah temperatures actually normally would be headed.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_08]: down this time of year on average not much so well those are monthly averages seventy five is the monthly average since nineteen seven so we're taking modern times we're not putting victory in your temperatures into our equation but the fact is today possibly will set a record we should be concerned about that good afternoon hotline
- 7:18[SPEAKER_08]: Hello.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_08]: Howdy.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_08]: Wayne is DS.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_08]: Nope.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_08]: Not there anymore.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_08]: Lots of things going out in the world.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_08]: I think just on the news there about Eastman Kodak, such an institution.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_08]: Certainly it wasn't Rochester.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_08]: I remember as a kid there, it was that they controlled the whole town.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_08]: Now, it's just barely there and barely hanging on.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe it wasn't buys any film.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_08]: There's no film.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I remember going to Severance Photo and all of that stuff and goodness gracious, that was quite an era.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_08]: Is that's when I got interested in photography.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_08]: He was back probably in the seventies and so on.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_08]: And that was before all the digital stuff and cell phones were cheap in our good and away.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_08]: But we'll see.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, let's see.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_08]: What else is going on?
- 8:14[SPEAKER_08]: Um, hmm.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, council last night.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_08]: City council.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_08]: You remember them?
- 8:21[SPEAKER_08]: City fathers.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_08]: They used to call them the city fathers.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_08]: Remember when they did that?
- 8:25[SPEAKER_08]: Even the news people would say city fathers.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_08]: But that was back in the sixties I think.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_08]: You know, the like black people were referred to as colored people, even in the water town daily times.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_08]: Not Jeff Graham saying it is making a historical analogy.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_08]: Kind of interesting out times have changed.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_08]: Let's see, uh, last night at the City Council of New Vegas, just parking downtown, parking.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_08]: And this, internally, long and mind-numbing discussion of whether they should add two parking places
- 9:04[SPEAKER_08]: uh... down on court street on the partner of the square seems to be plenty of room for them but they were told and we can do that staff says can do that insult and say can do that liability concern one great not line of the night came from councilwoman regiro he said you're talking to is about this you never ask us about the speed bumps in times in park and there was a dead silence
- 9:32[SPEAKER_08]: Because the code of silence has descended over that issue, it's said he'll do not suppose to talk about it.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_08]: Whatever.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_08]: And let's see, the other thing that came up last night.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what was it.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, it was kind of an aside, but I caught it because I'm perceptive.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_08]: I'm a former newsman, a little widely discredited now, and with cognitive difficulties, but I caught this.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_08]: They were talking about reintroducing paid parking down town.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_08]: I saw meters.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_08]: I got rid of those meters back in the nineties.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_08]: I'm the culprit.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I pushed the issue of accounts and ultimately I devoted on it.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_08]: But now that they're talking about the, well, you've seen them in some places where there's like a kiosk in your, what's your credit card in, issues your ticket, and then you put that on your dash, and if they're going around looking at cars, if you've got it on your dash, you're okay, if not you're gonna get ticket.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_08]: Man, is there news there that they are actually talking about introducing paid parking?
- 10:39[SPEAKER_08]: I thought we got rid of it, and with good reason.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_08]: With good reason.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_08]: Now they've eliminated parking places down to remember when they put the planters in in front of T-Bank.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_08]: That go to, you know, Jake is.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_08]: Yep.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_08]: Bowls were an uproar over that.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_08]: Um, but anyway, I don't think we need paid parking.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think we need to buy gadgets or anything else.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_08]: But we'll see.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_08]: They also talk about the trash service.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_08]: And some changes are going to make them scheduling and roots and all of that.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_08]: That's fine.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, that's, you know, and they want to get rid of refunds if like you cancel your service before it's done.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_08]: They don't want to have to refund any money.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_08]: And I understand that to really pay for it.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_08]: That's it.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_08]: Um, you know, you buy a bottle of beer if you don't drink a half of it, you don't turn it back in for more for money.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, it's not how it works.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_08]: But
- 11:45[SPEAKER_08]: And they talk about expanding a bit into commercial trust service.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_08]: Expand a lot.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_08]: If you're going to get in it, get in at all.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what they mean by commercial.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, they're probably going to say, you can't have this, can't have that, and that's going to be more confusing.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_08]: I think it's good that they're considering getting into that.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_08]: But if you have like an old house, it's now three apartments, I assume you can use a city refugee service or can't you?
- 12:11[SPEAKER_08]: as a landlord.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_08]: And you just pay for a couple of toters and have your tenants?
- 12:16[SPEAKER_08]: No, maybe not.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_08]: I'm trying to think of small businesses like mine.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_08]: We don't need a dumpster, really.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_08]: But they'd probably sit and hold on, we can't do that.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_08]: And then he got the whole recycling issue in the, yeah, that was laid bare last night.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_08]: Councilman only actually pointed it out, but they covered up form.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_08]: When he talked about it, well, people don't really recycle this stuff.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_08]: It just goes to the landfill.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_08]: And why are we, I'm paraphrasing here, but why are we perpetuating this myth that there is recycling when there really isn't?
- 12:49[SPEAKER_08]: And that's true.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_08]: And then there was another revelation last night.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_08]: Again, I think it went Zoom right over the head of the legacy media.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_08]: But they were talking about a couple of trash trucks that they got on order.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_08]: Now, everyone Trump got a trash truck for his campaign.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_08]: He got that within hours.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_08]: But they say, oh, it takes two to three years order time.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_08]: You can't believe he can't buy a trash truck off the lot somewhere in this country somewhere.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_08]: So anyway,
- 13:17[SPEAKER_08]: They had budgeted three hundred thousand dollars for each of these trash trucks.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_08]: Well, now we understand it's got to be three sixty.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_08]: And nobody questioned this and the explanation was, well, these are recycling trucks because we do this curbside separation.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_08]: There's only a couple plays one place that makes these trucks and they cost more.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_08]: So we're paying more for this curbside stuff.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_08]: It never really gets recycled.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_08]: It all goes into a pile.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_08]: It's a big hoax.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_08]: We're going to pay more for the trucks because I don't they make them because nobody else does it that way.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know why we because the county takes our recycling for I don't know what I don't understand any of it anymore.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_08]: And this argument went on before the idea of a centralized drop-off, maybe I'm Saturday morning.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_08]: You know how people out in the town are watching my call, let's say, go to the dump this morning, honey.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_08]: And they go there and socialize and all of that stuff.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that's a big social thing out in the towns.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know why we couldn't have it.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_08]: You know, if you could dump your bag of trash off for two or three bucks instead of five, I wouldn't.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_08]: Heck.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_08]: I think somebody who's got some initiative would set up maybe
- 14:33[SPEAKER_08]: empty lot and I do not know you know isolated area but I have three or four big dumpsters thirty yard dumpsters and just hey and Saturday's coming over here for two bucks you can put your bag in like some money.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_08]: So we're paying more for the recycling trucks because we're doing an obsolete form of recycling that nobody else does.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_08]: And nobody, if the meeting questioned, even, even Mr. Sean didn't question it.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_08]: He's okay.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_08]: We'll pass the bonding ordinance next week to spend more money.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_08]: God help us.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_08]: Well, we got the Council candidates coming in the first week or two of our September.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_08]: We've got to Shane Garibrand coming in Tuesday the ninth on Tuesday the second of the Mr. Velasquez who was outfishing yesterday and caught a fish and put it on Facebook.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_08]: I think that's fine.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_08]: I think wearing pink shorts and putting it on Facebook though, could call it, well, I don't know.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_08]: This is a different era.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_08]: Back when I first ran, if he were seen in pink shorts, it was a negative, but that may not be anymore.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_08]: And then, of course, Mr. Asporn's coming in Wednesday to third, I'm trying to get a hold of this monoco guy.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_08]: And hopefully, we can get a hold of them very soon and set him up for a date.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_08]: We're just trying to do up right at early September, get reacquainted with the candidates.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_08]: You know, because nobody else does that kind of long form interview.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_08]: There are a lot of people who think I'm terrible that I ask bad questions.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_08]: I dominate the discussion.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_08]: I do a lot.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_08]: They hate it.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_08]: But they listen anyway.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_08]: So we do the best we can tomorrow on the show of shows.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_08]: I hope he calls in, I don't know.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_08]: Congressman, representative Dan Goldman of New York City.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_08]: I did some research on him.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_08]: This is one of these things that was kind of set up for me because he's a Democrat eight strong, and he hates to find it.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_08]: He hates it.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_08]: Well, anyway, Dan Goldman is what they call a nepo baby.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_08]: I hadn't heard that phrase until today.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_08]: A nepo baby.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_08]: I never heard it.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_08]: I said, what's that?
- 16:43[SPEAKER_08]: Well, it's somebody's born with money, like nepotism type thing.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_08]: I guess people like that are called, he was an heir to the Levi's Strauss fortune.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_08]: That's why he was a nepo baby.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_08]: He also went to Sidwell Friends School in DC.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_08]: That's an exclusive school.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_08]: in the nation's capital.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_08]: It's where the, the Obama kids daughters went there.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_08]: Good school.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_08]: And then he went to Yale and to Stanford.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_08]: Now, I was born near Stanford.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_08]: So I was born in Palo Alto, but I did not attend Stanford.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_08]: So I can't say that.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_08]: But I mean, he's on me.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_08]: It's a pretty smart guy.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_08]: So I don't know.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_08]: We're going to be tough for me to interview him because I'm kind of an intellectual lightweight in many ways.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_08]: And I don't know.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_08]: He's probably going to do pretty well.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_08]: He'll school me as one person said on the internet.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_08]: He's going to school me.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to ask him right up front.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to say, what's the deal with my mdami?
- 17:39[SPEAKER_08]: Why won't you endorse him?
- 17:41[SPEAKER_08]: We're from upstate.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_08]: We don't know what this phrase globaled into photo means.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_08]: Can you tell us?
- 17:47[SPEAKER_08]: You know what it means?
- 17:49[SPEAKER_08]: No.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_08]: I think the previous iteration of that was final solution.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that was the phrase that used to be used.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_08]: Now they call it global interfata.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it's kind of weird.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_08]: So anyway, we look forward to talking to Representative Goldman tomorrow on a hotline supposed to be calling in around twelve forty-five or so.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_08]: Quarter to one.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_08]: And we will be, listen, I'm going to be hospitable.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_08]: I always am.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_08]: Now he was talking about running for U.S.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_08]: Senate, too, once they push Schumer out of the way in twenty-eight.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_08]: That's why he's making the rounds upstate to get his name out there as they say in the biz.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_08]: He's getting his name out there.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_08]: Well, we support AOC for that race here at the hotline.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_08]: Because when Cuomo took over the state and changed all the election laws to his liking, he made it so that you can change your party registration right before primary used to be ahead of be a year ahead.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_08]: So now if you want to vote in a Democratic primary and for US Senate say in twenty eight and you're a Republicans and well just change it in February or January vote in the primary then change back and social state if you want to vote for AOC or something.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_08]: It's that's probably what I would do.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_08]: Boy.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_08]: We talked yesterday about those Promethian screens and classrooms today and nobody calls in on that.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_08]: I didn't know they didn't use blackboards anymore.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_08]: Oh my god.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_08]: That's something.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_08]: That's a hit.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_08]: The new pole is out.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_08]: Sianna pole.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_08]: Take it for what it's worth.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_08]: Who been a touring all day?
- 19:42[SPEAKER_08]: Governor Kathy, Hockel over at least a finite by thirteen points.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_08]: Now that's less than it was a month ago.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_08]: Still a decent margin.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_08]: I think these got to be more than just this bashing of Cuomo.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_08]: They're not Cuomo, but Hockel, you do have to mix a few issues.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_08]: I'd guess that.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_08]: tax on tips over time and so on and make that part of state laws well as federal law.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_08]: And the biggest problem I think's misdefinix going to have it's not are lazy voters.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_08]: You know I've made the observation if you look if you look at how many safe axions were up around the North country you'd think the Republicans would win like a huge margin but they didn't because
- 20:39[SPEAKER_08]: A lot of these people don't vote.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_08]: You know, in this Seattle poll, twenty percent of those survey, one in five, look at five people in front of you.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_08]: One of them had no idea who got the local early staphonic loss.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_08]: One in five people being surveyed by the Seattle poll.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_08]: I don't want to say anybody stupid, but there's a tremendous lack of awareness.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_08]: So, and you know, there's
- 21:06[SPEAKER_08]: Probably at a statewide election, you know, if, uh, Stefana gets three million and hopeful gets three and a half.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_08]: They don't allow third party candidates anymore.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_08]: No, they're five million or vote at all.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_08]: Many of them up here.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_08]: The Jefferson County, forty two thousand and change voted in the presidential race session is probably twice that were of age.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_08]: And that's even not counting people who are like so mentally deficient.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_08]: They couldn't.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_08]: And that was a presidential race, my God.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I don't know.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_08]: One in five people had no idea who Kathy Hokel or at least to find a guy.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_08]: Holy cool.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, I guess.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_08]: Well, it's like, what's going on in the last town Friday?
- 21:55[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I don't know.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_08]: World peace on the line, I hear.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_08]: Not on TikTok.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_08]: What do you talk about?
- 22:05[SPEAKER_08]: Good God.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_08]: The dumbing down of him.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_08]: You know, I look at people who are so informed.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_08]: I was, I went to pigly wiggly a week or two ago to get some lemons and limes.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_08]: I decided to shop on the nice side of town.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_08]: Right out front, friend of mine, where there's Bassett, how does Nicar, will he well-born, was there and he's reading the paper?
- 22:26[SPEAKER_08]: And I went up to pet the dog and I said, hey, well, he's good to see.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_08]: And that paper was getting kind of thin.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_08]: Now, I thought he was reading the local papers and all this in New York Times.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_08]: I guess he, he can pick it up at a couple locations.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_08]: And he's the type of guy.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_08]: He's to work at the airbreaker, reads in New York Times and everything.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_08]: Which is fine.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_08]: I know people read different things.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_08]: I know you're to criticize any media, but how many people do that anymore?
- 22:50[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, not too many.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_08]: So,
- 22:54[SPEAKER_08]: Who knows?
- 22:55[SPEAKER_08]: Who knows?
- 22:55[SPEAKER_08]: Those are some topics.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_08]: You say we don't have topics?
- 22:59[SPEAKER_08]: Those are topics.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_08]: And if you want to bring them up and talk about them some more, please do.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_08]: And we'll take time out for messages and be back with them all in a moment.

- 26:08[SPEAKER_10]: Radio advertising brings customers.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_10]: Call community broadcasters at three one five seven eight two twelve forty.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_10]: The only secret is that radio works.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_15]: The news and talk authority.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_08]: It's all you need to know.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_08]: You know that proposal about paid parking downtown that was kind of floated.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_08]: I guess it's come up briefly before, but it's kind of floated last night.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_08]: Nobody talked about that damn locking hour plasma fountain that looks like crap.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_08]: But that's just the way we are.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_08]: The idea of putting out parking kiosk at charges you and one of the council candidates said, yeah, the businesses on public square do not need something like that.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_08]: We've invested too much in downtown to choke that progress.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_08]: That was Mr. Velazquez.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_08]: Now, we will put quotes on from anybody if they text him into us.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_08]: So we're not playing favorites.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_08]: Well, maybe we will.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_08]: But I know, remember we'll be playing favorites, of course.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_08]: But then, you know, give everybody a chance to be on the air.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_08]: But after you do you're on the air?
- 27:17[SPEAKER_07]: Well, Mayor Graham.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_08]: Mr. Brother.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_08]: From South Carolina.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_07]: North Carolina.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_08]: What's the temperature down there?
- 27:26[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, I don't know.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_07]: Let's see.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_08]: Well, it's ninety here.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, but you don't have a tropical storm error and pointed at you.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_08]: No.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_07]: Today, but it was pointed at us.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_07]: Anyway, it was, uh, I was listening and apparently all of your normal listeners and callers are, um, they're at cooling centers right now.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_07]: Was it?
- 27:56[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_08]: The angry man, he had to be put on ice today because he's, he's true upset.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_08]: Well, that's good.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_08]: What's up with you?
- 28:11[SPEAKER_08]: Is that it?
- 28:15[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, okay.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_08]: Well, yeah, that's good.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_08]: Well, you have any opinions on the issues up here?
- 28:21[SPEAKER_08]: And you haven't been here in quite a while.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_07]: No, I don't have any opinions on anything.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know who's Rod Egg or who's in the office or any of that stuff.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I heard on the national news a few minutes ago.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_08]: You remember Eastman Kodak?
- 28:36[SPEAKER_08]: Well, they put out a statement they don't know if they're going to survive any longer because their debt load is so high and there's not much left of it.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_08]: It's hard to imagine something that big in that pervasive in Rochester just gone.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, no, and I haven't been to Rochester in years, but I've seen photos of, you know, they're demolishing the buildings, the codec parkies.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, now they're just criminals there.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_08]: That's almost.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_07]: So it was a sad story.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_08]: Well, it's because they didn't adapt.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_08]: You know, they damn digital stuff and I don't know.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that's what I've read that even though they developed one of the first digital cameras.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_07]: They never really pursued it, doesn't he?
- 29:21[SPEAKER_08]: Well, when you make it that much money selling film to people and processing it and all that stuff, why would you?
- 29:28[SPEAKER_08]: They had the whole thing locked up.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_08]: Except for probably eclectics like you who used, you know, some foreign film, Fuji or... What was the British one?
- 29:41[SPEAKER_08]: Hillford.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_08]: Hillford, yeah, you probably used that.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_07]: Now I've got tons of codec film, chemicals, paper.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_06]: Yep.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_07]: That might be one of my commercial photography business.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_07]: That was a good customer of codec.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_08]: Well, too bad, you're not any longer.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_08]: So, what are you doing down there?
- 30:03[SPEAKER_08]: You got your cyber truck, and you got your side by side, and... Not a cyber truck, that's a Tesla.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_07]: I have a light thing.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_08]: Fortlight thing, okay.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_08]: And then you have some kind of side by side device, like an ATV?
- 30:17[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_08]: UTV.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_08]: You can't have those up here.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_08]: You can have just out on the highway.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_08]: And yours is fully roadly, you go down.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_07]: I take it out and drive around.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_07]: Hmm.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_08]: Well, that's good.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_08]: I'm glad.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_08]: I'm glad.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_08]: That'll probably change in the future, but as more and more New Yorkers move to your state.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, there's too many of them already.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_07]: I want to go somewhere else.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I will do that when I run into anybody.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_08]: So there you go.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_08]: Hey, do you know what's happening in Alaska on Friday?
- 31:00[SPEAKER_07]: Um... I don't know, sir, pale and is getting up in the morning out of them.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, there you go.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_08]: You're an American, yeah.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_07]: I've heard that a couple of world leaders are getting together.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_07]: You do something there.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_07]: But what is this?
- 31:16[SPEAKER_07]: Is Mr. Ukraine there?
- 31:17[SPEAKER_07]: Excuse me.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_08]: He hasn't called me.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_08]: I'm expecting a call after the show.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, well.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_07]: If I seem to go, but you can just loosen up a little bit.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_07]: Everybody's got to give.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I'm out.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_08]: I give them all the places that are already blown up.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_07]: So yeah, let them fix them.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_07]: And just make sure that, you know, they get to be at the current gets to be a member of NATO.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_07]: And, and, and, and, and, promises, you know,
- 31:55[SPEAKER_08]: They get the get the crime he had back.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_08]: So there you go.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_08]: That's a member that was the was at the six hundred or the eight hundred.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_08]: Tennyson's poem about the war in the Crimea.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_07]: What was that about Crimea?
- 32:09[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_08]: Charge for the light brigade was Anderson.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_07]: What do I know?
- 32:16[SPEAKER_08]: What do I know?
- 32:17[SPEAKER_08]: What do I know?
- 32:17[SPEAKER_07]: Well, now we're getting into the history stuff.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_08]: History, literature.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_08]: You know, not topics you want to get into a mass media.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_08]: So I don't know.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_07]: Well, history, I saw a post by Christine the history queen.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_07]: She was talking about the smoke up there from Canada.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_07]: Is that a problem in water town?
- 32:37[SPEAKER_08]: Well, there are days where you can see a haze, not purple haze, but haze.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_08]: And it is.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it's not a couple of years ago.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_08]: It was worse, but it's a problem.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_08]: It's probably killing us.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_08]: So not that the Canadians
- 32:53[SPEAKER_08]: care that much but uh... you listen to something i want to ask you because you've been you know you're a sophisticated you've been different places you're familiar with on street parking like uh... there's parallel parking where you're parallel the curb and then there's diagonal parking where you pull into a slot right
- 33:15[SPEAKER_08]: ninety degrees sometimes is ninety degree you put in there well we have on court street when they did this latest iteration of urban renewal they put in uh... well it's like in the reverse you go down you have to back into a diagonal now the advantages when you're leaving the parking place you can see better you're not backing into the clear view that's a little unusual i haven't seen any of that in person yeah
- 33:42[SPEAKER_08]: at boy the planners think it's a grip but you know what's happened is the democracy of life the public doesn't use the parking places and last night at the city council meeting they ask that the planners said well it's because there's so many other wins across the street no it's because they don't want to use them they don't know how to back up well they if they feel awkward doing it something new i don't know but the council hasn't got the guts to say well repaint the lines the other way
- 34:12[SPEAKER_08]: Because we have a council that's slavish as far as staff goes out.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_08]: Well, staff says we have to, you know, do this and, you know, okay.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, it's something.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_07]: Who elected staff anyway?
- 34:24[SPEAKER_08]: Nobody, the unelected elites.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_08]: And you know something I was watching the council meeting last night online.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_08]: And the city manager to his credit is very, very polite because he was in the army.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_08]: You know what I was saying yesterday.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_08]: No sir.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_08]: And he always refers to people properly.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_08]: But one of the department heads is addressing the council.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_08]: And about some something he says.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_08]: And you guys can do this.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_08]: You know what address the council that way?
- 34:50[SPEAKER_08]: You guys.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_08]: You guys.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, first of all, they're not all guys, but that's the side of the point.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_08]: It's just like, I don't know.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_08]: That wouldn't have happened years ago.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, I don't think Gene Hayes would when he was DPW super, whatever I've said, you guys, they counsel.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_08]: So I don't know, there's a, there's just a coarsening of life these days.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know if you've noticed it.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if you've noticed it.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if you've noticed it.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if you've noticed it.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_08]: Well, Mr. Old A did not have a tie.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_08]: The rest of them did.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_08]: Of course, it was very hot.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_08]: I could see wearing skipping the tie.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_08]: It was a work session more than a council meeting, but still.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_08]: And then there's people in the room wearing hats.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_08]: You're not supposed to wear a hat inside.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_07]: Well, especially a ball cap.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_08]: Well, that kind or any other kind.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_08]: So I don't know.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_08]: There's just some just some things that I was upset about yesterday that, you know, when you're old and grumpy, you do that.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_06]: We're about kings, they can wear crowns, can't they?
- 35:56[SPEAKER_06]: Or do they have to take them off?
- 35:58[SPEAKER_08]: Well, they can wear crowns, but that's the royalty, that's why.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_08]: That's why.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_08]: So, you ever heard of the phrase a napo baby?
- 36:04[SPEAKER_07]: I don't think so, I heard you talking about that.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_08]: I just heard that this week.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_07]: So, I don't remember hearing that one.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_08]: I was a pretty heard of nepotism, but... Those are children that are born with money.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_08]: They used to be called a silver spoon.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_08]: And remember the other expression, they were born on third base and thought they had a triple.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_08]: They ever heard that?
- 36:29[SPEAKER_08]: No.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_08]: No.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_08]: That's a good expression to use in that situation.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_08]: I can't think of anything else.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_08]: Anyway, we'll go from there and we might get trapped blue up here.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_08]: They're talking about that now.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_07]: No.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_08]: We'll play.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_08]: Water town to JFK.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_08]: That's pretty high.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_08]: We're hoping that they give them the essential air subsidy or something.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_08]: That's because we got the new airport, I haven't been out there yet, but I hear it's nice.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_08]: You heard we got a, you should go look.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_08]: We have a baggage.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_08]: What do they call those?
- 37:05[SPEAKER_08]: Carousel.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_08]: Carousel.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, we have a baggage carousel right here.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_06]: We're very excited.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_08]: We're very excited in water town.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_08]: We used to have and we don't have any anymore.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_08]: A couple places downtown at escalators, but they're gone now.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_08]: So I don't think there's any escalators left in modern town.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_08]: But we will get a bag of spare cells.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_08]: So there you go.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_08]: All right, listen.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_08]: I got a run.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_08]: I got commercials to do.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_08]: But thanks for calling.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_06]: The water town.

- 40:07[SPEAKER_00]: One of the cases that stands out the most to me is this case of the guy at a construction project.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_00]: He's up on the ten floor.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_00]: He's walking the cart of garbage that he has backwards.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_00]: Goes through the door, assuming that the door is open, that elevator was there.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: He walks out, falls eight to ten stories.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_00]: All he had is really a shoulder injury and a neck injury.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_00]: He had a great recovery, great settlement.

- 40:33[SPEAKER_25]: John Constain loves this.com, one hundred six o'clock, three, three, three, and Syracuse.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_25]: And of course, the work in Pennsylvania.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_14]: There's a lot of things that need changing.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_14]: One of them could be your roof.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_14]: If so, get herages contracting.

- 40:55[SPEAKER_15]: Around the clock.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_15]: This is the news in talk authority.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_15]: Am twelve forty.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_15]: W eight.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I'm twelve forty.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_08]: W eight.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, good afternoon.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_08]: You're one at all.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_08]: We are here on the hotline.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_08]: on a very, very, very, very hot day in the month of August on usually warm temperatures, fifteen degrees above normal.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_08]: Wow.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_08]: I don't blame those council candidates for not being out today, but, you know, I was reading something, uh, somebody sent me a text message, friend of mine in the biz, having a fish fry mac and cheese and coal slot tomorrow.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_08]: Well, that's all over beaches to have a nice guy.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, but, uh, then at the bottom it says,
- 41:35[SPEAKER_08]: donations accepted proceeds go to the children's miracle network.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_08]: Is that going to make me, I'd love the macaroni and cheese, but is that going to end the fish?
- 41:43[SPEAKER_08]: But would I, more likely, go to something because I think it's going to, I mean, one time we had a car wash.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_08]: And you know, employees and, you know, they were on a clock and whatever they made in the, you know,
- 41:59[SPEAKER_08]: People gave money, they got to keep it.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_08]: I didn't get any of that.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_08]: I just opened the people, come in for a couple of drinks and you know, all the event to generate excitement.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_08]: Somebody came, who's this benefit?
- 42:10[SPEAKER_08]: I have one.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_08]: Damn, I hope it benefits me.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_08]: You know, everybody's like, who's it benefit?
- 42:15[SPEAKER_08]: Like, that's kind of matter.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_08]: You don't want to go to it or you don't.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_05]: Well, hello, Mayor.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, Russ Finley, how are you?
- 42:25[SPEAKER_05]: Uh, too bad.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_05]: It's good to hear from your brother.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah, he's out there while we got a squeeze in for a few of you and I was talking to him about a nepo baby.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_08]: What is that again?
- 42:35[SPEAKER_05]: It's just basically somebody that's inherited their way through life and that's not a bad thing.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_05]: No, I mean, hey, it's the American dream and I get sick of this, you know, Democrats complaining about, oh, you know, this guy's a spoiled brat rich kid.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_05]: Well, that's the object of parenting is to leave your children.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_05]: better off than you were.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_05]: So Goldman inherited his way through life, good for him.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_05]: He got to go to a sixty thousand dollar a year prep school, said well friends, his mother was on the board of directors, so I'm sure that didn't have anything to do with him getting in.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_05]: But, well, whatever that's, that's how you get my life a lot of times is not, you know, what you know to you know.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, one person they'll never call a neppo baby is a good friend Jake Johnson there.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_08]: He'd pulled himself up by the bootstraps, but from what a garbage man.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what he was.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_08]: He was mowing lawns or something.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_08]: Now we owns all the water town.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_05]: Speaking of the garbage issue in water town, the other hood of gov auction or gov planet.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_08]: No.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_05]: It's a website where municipality sells stuff off.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_05]: just a quick perusal there's uh... sixty-two garbage trucks per sale not that far away all ranging between fifteen and fifty thousand and what's the problem with buying a used garbage truck with three used garbage trucks for half the price of a new one of nobody complains about getting uh... a used car a good used car that's been well maintained uh... you know why does government
- 44:18[SPEAKER_05]: If we the taxpayers can buy a used car, why can't governments buy used equipment from other government entities, why does a government always have to buy the fastest latest newest, especially when it's a garbage truck and it's going to get dirty.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, the other thing they talked about last night is, well, they got to market their garbage service better.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_08]: It is a good service and they do a great job and it's reasonably priced, although not as reasonable as it was two months ago.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_08]: They say, well, we got to go out and market it.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_08]: Well, what even doing?
- 44:50[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, all you got to do is, I've been doing this show thirty two years.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_08]: I've never had anybody come in to talk about trash service.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_08]: They're welcome to the microphone sitting right next to me.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_08]: And, you know, you can always buy advertising.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe you want to do that too.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_08]: But you start with getting the free stuff and then work your way into that.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_05]: Well, they just had that cost when trading add on there and they could do a direct bail piece to the residents of the city of water town.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_05]: They know who the property owners are.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_05]: They can just get a XL spreadsheet from the tax rolls and send it out.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_08]: Exactly.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_08]: Exactly.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_08]: There's all sorts of things you could do and also to market it, make the trucks like paint them up like a psychedelic colors or something.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_08]: And you know, somebody suggested, like a good humor man or they have the music playing when they come down the street.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's not the ice cream I want to get.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I remember as a kid down in DC area, the good humor man and the bells on the front of it and boy, you'd run out there when that thing came up.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, that was part of growing up.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_08]: That was when America was America.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_08]: You know what I mean?
- 46:02[SPEAKER_05]: Well, yeah, you know, there was the milk man and the garbage man and the good humor man and the fuller brush man, all of these people.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_08]: And an encyclopedia salesman, the boot.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, so anyway, Mr. Goldman's coming tomorrow.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_08]: He went to good schools.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_08]: Is it fair to ask him what global Intafada is?
- 46:26[SPEAKER_05]: It really doesn't matter.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, you got eight million more on customers in one city that are going to elect this guy.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_05]: It's all over but the crying.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_05]: tragic, I think it's horrible that a thirty three year old who has been arrested at this country, or a citizen of this country, a whole hot ten minutes gets to take over, you know, one of the largest cities in the world.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_05]: But if this is what they want, let them have it.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_05]: And when he does the damage, we can just sit back and say, I told you so, I just hope to help.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_05]: They don't raise our taxes so they can support those idiots.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_05]: But at the end of the day gold men's going to win seven of sixty two counties but the population density.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, he'll be your senator, right?
- 47:19[SPEAKER_05]: Well, yeah.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, you got what can he could he be the O.C.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_08]: in a primary?
- 47:26[SPEAKER_08]: If there was a Democratic primary could he be the O.C.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not sure he could.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, I think you would.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_05]: I think you would.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_05]: AOC's losing her popularity.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_05]: AOC, Crockett, all that stuff.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_05]: People are finding out.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_05]: They're not bold babies as well.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, Jasmine Crockett went to one of the top schools in the United States, like, forty thousand dollars a year.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_05]: AOC grew up in Westchester County.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_05]: She's not a Bronx girl.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_05]: She's a Westchester County spoiled rich kid that went to good schools.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_05]: So people, I think people are getting a little bit fed up with that.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, look at the whole Jamal Bowman.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_05]: They put that George Latimer back in because we were such an idiot.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_08]: Well, yeah, it's kind of funny that they go to these good schools like Congresswoman Crackett, and then they come out all of a sudden to gain attention.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_08]: You're looking at her old videos, it's different, but she used to be pretty refined and well spoken.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_08]: I'm sure she's intelligent, but she feels the need now to just speak in this sort of thuggish ghetto talk in order to get attention.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_05]: It works.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I mean, she's got to be Yolanda from the hood now.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I'm to cover up the fact that, you know, there's a
- 48:47[SPEAKER_05]: There's a great scene to move the eight mile about the rapper Eminem's life.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_05]: You go to the last rap battle when he takes on this guy, Papa Doc, and he was a spoiled brat, rich kid pretending to be a rapper, and there's a line in there.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_05]: There ain't no such thing as a halfway crook.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_06]: There you go.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_05]: And that's what these people are.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_05]: They're just, you know, they always accuse conservatives of cultural appropriation, and these people are the biggest criminal
- 49:18[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I just got a text from Glenn.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_08]: He said, uh, the restaurant at I've sold country club is back open.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_08]: They had a little fire outside yesterday or on Saturday or Sunday.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_08]: And, uh, I don't know.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_08]: And other person just wrote in, why is the state office flag at half staff?
- 49:33[SPEAKER_08]: Do you know?
- 49:35[SPEAKER_05]: I have no, uh, does it have anything to do with that cop getting killed in the shooting last week?
- 49:44[SPEAKER_08]: Well, then I don't know.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_08]: You never know.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_05]: they'll put things up and put things down who knows there's, you know, working for the federal government there was time we were putting tags up and down for at federal buildings for people that you'd never even heard of, you know, a congressman that was it, you know, now out of Congress back in the ease and died at a hundred and they put the flags and half mass forums.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_08]: Well, we have a member of the state assembly who's eighty eight from a long island.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_08]: He never goes to session.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_08]: He just says he works remotely, but
- 50:20[SPEAKER_08]: What good does he do?
- 50:22[SPEAKER_05]: Well, there was a senator down around Albany, and when they finally ran him out, he was like, ninety-four, and he showed up to the Senate.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_05]: He didn't even realize he wasn't even a senator anymore.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_05]: He would just show up to the Senate, and they'd be like, you're not a senator anymore.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_08]: Well, they're having that problem with Mr. Biden, I think.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_08]: So, yeah.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_08]: One last question, the latest CNApple has a hook a lot by thirteen.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_08]: I know these polls are early.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_08]: Don't mean a lot.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_08]: And I know you don't like CNApple.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_08]: But let's say we assume it's valid.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_08]: It's a least ironic ever chance.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_05]: Absolutely.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I go back to Zelda and losing by sex.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_05]: And people really don't like hookle.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_05]: And I think what's going to kill hookle.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_05]: is apathy.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_05]: I just, I don't think people really care who their member of Congress is and people really don't like hoaxle so little Democrats come out in big form to vote for hoaxle.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_05]: No.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_05]: They won't, they will not, they will not cast a vote for a Republican.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_05]: They just won't vote because.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_05]: Don't care.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_08]: All right, very good.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_08]: Well, Russ, we got to go, because we got to get back to those cows, but stay cool in the heat up there.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_06]: That's what I'm trying to do.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_08]: No, I thank you very much.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_06]: I know.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_08]: Russ Finley from Lisbon, the Oracle at Lisbon as they call them in the business.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_08]: And there you go.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_08]: Now, what have we got?
- 52:05[SPEAKER_08]: A little break and we'll be back with more in a moment.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_15]: The world can change in just seconds.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_15]: We'll bring you the latest in just minutes at the top of the hour on AM-Twelve-Forty-W-A-T-N.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_14]: It's summer, and with your Godl sales, the use car leader has what you want.

- 58:16[SPEAKER_08]: I did a cool spot or an air conditioner spot, drink lots of fluids, you know, your dogs and cats and all of that.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, they don't want to put up with this either, kids.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_08]: I shudder to think that anyone would leave an animal or a kid in a car in this weather, but there's somebody within the sound of my voice who's stupid enough to do it.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_08]: So make sure you don't do that either.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_08]: OK.

- 59:04[SPEAKER_08]: What do you think of that?
- 59:06[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_08]: Great idea.
