- 0:00Speaker 1: Seven ten w RS. Mark Simone show continues. Now, hey,
- 0:08Speaker 1: let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 0:11Speaker 1: seven ten is the number eight hundred three two one
- 0:14Speaker 1: zero seven ten. Let's go to Rich in Myrtle Beach. Rich,
- 0:17Speaker 1: how you doing pretty good?
- 0:19Speaker 2: Felt like twenty six degrees here this morning, So we'll
- 0:22Speaker 2: they get back to the fifties tomorrow. But it was
- 0:24Speaker 2: a pretty pretty cold blast last night and the day before.
- 0:28Speaker 2: You know this, John Thoon, he's gotta go, he better
- 0:30Speaker 2: get his uh, you know what of the off the crapper.
- 0:34Speaker 2: You know, we've got over seventy judge openings that need
- 0:39Speaker 2: to be filled. At least Mitch McConnell the Turtle was
- 0:42Speaker 2: good at doing these judges and getting judges appointed in.
- 0:44Speaker 2: There's a lot of red states that have a lot
- 0:46Speaker 2: of openings and courting to Laura Ingram, there's something like,
- 0:49Speaker 2: you know, well over seventy high level judge ships that
- 0:52Speaker 2: need to be filled. And John Thuhon in the Senate
- 0:54Speaker 2: that they're just not doing anything to look at the
- 0:57Speaker 2: long range term you by not doing anything like that.
- 0:59Speaker 1: No, absolutely Thune is one useless guy. Anytime you see
- 1:03Speaker 1: a politician, he looks like that senator on the Godfather,
- 1:05Speaker 1: Remember excuse you Corleoh yeah, yeah, it looks like that.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I wouldn't trust him for a second. Not that I
- 1:13Speaker 1: would trust Mitch McConnell either, but you're right, McConnell at
- 1:16Speaker 1: least been there six hundred years knew how to get
- 1:19Speaker 1: stuff done. Let's go to doctor Bob in Long Island.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Doctor Bob, how you doing okay?
- 1:24Speaker 3: Mark, good to speak to you. Yeah. I second the
- 1:27Speaker 3: emotion about Poon his disastered. He's just treading water. But
- 1:32Speaker 3: I'm just swondering Mark. You know, they're really getting ready
- 1:34Speaker 3: to close some of the airports because the TSA people
- 1:39Speaker 3: walking off without getting paid. I can't believe that the
- 1:43Speaker 3: senators are getting paid for blocking government functions. And I
- 1:48Speaker 3: think that they should set up a priority list of
- 1:50Speaker 3: maybe some of the states that have maybe democratic senators.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Maybe took off of Massachusetts airports, maybe take off some
- 2:02Speaker 3: of the Chicago and California airports, and announce the schedule
- 2:06Speaker 3: when the closures are going to occur. Maybe that'll put
- 2:08Speaker 3: some pressure on those senators.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it's hard to pressure these guys, but a good point. Well,
- 2:15Speaker 1: a lot of people want to make sure because normally
- 2:17Speaker 1: you know these Congressman, House, Senate, they go right through that.
- 2:21Speaker 1: There's no tsa line for them.
- 2:23Speaker 2: They go.
- 2:23Speaker 1: They got escorted right through. An escort actually shows up,
- 2:25Speaker 1: bring them right through. Everybody wants that stopped, not just
- 2:29Speaker 1: during this but forever. You'll notice you hear the Senators,
- 2:35Speaker 1: the Democrats and everybody. They they'll criticize the Secretary of Defense.
- 2:39Speaker 1: They'll criticize the Secretary of State. But you'll notice you
- 2:44Speaker 1: never hear anybody in Congress Democrats, you'll never hear them
- 2:47Speaker 1: criticize the Secretary of Transportation, which right now is Sean Duffy.
- 2:52Speaker 1: And the reason they never criticize the Secretary of Transportation
- 2:57Speaker 1: is when your secretary of transportation, the first thing you
- 3:00Speaker 1: do is should give your cell number to everybody in Congress, Republican, Democrat,
- 3:04Speaker 1: they all have his cell number. They're going to the airport,
- 3:06Speaker 1: they can call him, heal, arrange for an escort to
- 3:09Speaker 1: show up. Whatever you got, any problem in an airport train,
- 3:13Speaker 1: he call him, take care of it, just like that.
- 3:16Speaker 1: So you could threaten them with all kinds of things.
- 3:20Speaker 1: You could threaten them with no more escorts, no more
- 3:22Speaker 1: of this, and you could just say we're going to
- 3:25Speaker 1: have the Secretary of Transportation change his phone number to
- 3:28Speaker 1: a new number that you don't have. Then maybe they'll
- 3:31Speaker 1: cave in real fast. Let's go to Foggi in Long Island.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Did I say your name right, Fagi?
- 3:39Speaker 2: Yes? Hi Mark.
- 3:41Speaker 4: I have a question. Why can't we pass term limits
- 3:45Speaker 4: for any member of Congress or political figure? Because presidenttion
- 3:51Speaker 4: have term limits? Why are people allowed to be in
- 3:53Speaker 4: Congress for fifty years? Make a Korea out of it?
- 3:56Speaker 1: Yeah? No, they're all horrible, the worst people of these
- 3:58Speaker 1: lifetime senators, Republicans, Democrats, they all stink. But well, the
- 4:02Speaker 1: reason the problem is they'd have to pass it. They're
- 4:05Speaker 1: the only ones that can pass it against themselves, and
- 4:07Speaker 1: they won't do it.
- 4:08Speaker 4: And also, why can't they pass that if they prevent
- 4:12Speaker 4: any Americans who earn their living like the TSA members,
- 4:15Speaker 4: why can't we pass a lot that says if they
- 4:17Speaker 4: prevent that, they will not get paid either. It's frustrating
- 4:21Speaker 4: and I feel for those people.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Yeah, no, Concress should not get paid during the shutdown.
- 4:25Speaker 1: You're absolutely right. Where are you in Long Island?
- 4:27Speaker 4: I'm on Bayville, Bayville.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Right next to Jackie Martlin, right, I know.
- 4:34Speaker 4: And Billy Joe. We used to run into him into town.
- 4:36Speaker 1: All the time. Well, Bazil is right next to where
- 4:39Speaker 1: he lives. Center and also got the great, the great
- 4:41Speaker 1: songwriter Jimmy Webb lives in Bayville.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Yes, yes, yes, it's a beautiful time. Yeah, it's gonna
- 4:50Speaker 4: come alive in the summertime. Right now, it's still like
- 4:52Speaker 4: peaceful and quiet.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Yeah. For all you people that drive all the way
- 4:55Speaker 1: out to the Hamptons, you go to Bayville, it's got
- 4:57Speaker 1: a beautiful beach, it's close.
- 4:59Speaker 4: It's I go to Southhold during the summer forward, so
- 5:03Speaker 4: I'm like, yep, I'm gonna.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Drive all right. Thanks for colling. Let's go to Gina
- 5:08Speaker 1: and Staten Island. Gina. How you doing.
- 5:11Speaker 5: Oh, I'm great.
- 5:12Speaker 2: I love your show. Mark.
- 5:13Speaker 5: I just have a question about the voter ID. I
- 5:16Speaker 5: was having an argument with my sister and she said
- 5:19Speaker 5: that she doesn't think that, you know, we should have
- 5:22Speaker 5: voter ID. And I said, yeah, but how do you
- 5:24Speaker 5: know who's voting? And she said, when she took her
- 5:26Speaker 5: son to go register to vote, you have to show
- 5:28Speaker 5: ago birth certificate. So I just I'm confused. I don't understand.
- 5:32Speaker 1: All right, let me give you some good advice. Stop
- 5:35Speaker 1: talking to your sister. What else you're talking about? Stop
- 5:39Speaker 1: talking to her. Everybody has a driver's license. Everybody can
- 5:45Speaker 1: show voter ID. It's it's photo I D. It's the
- 5:48Speaker 1: easiest thing to do. It's everywhere you go, everywhere in
- 5:52Speaker 1: the world. You have to show a photo ID to
- 5:54Speaker 1: get into any office building, to buy medicine, to do anything.
- 5:59Speaker 1: You had have photo Everybody has it. It's a simple
- 6:01Speaker 1: thing to do. But it screws up the Democrats, and
- 6:07Speaker 1: you know they putting illegals on the ballots and all that.
- 6:10Speaker 1: It screws them up to do it. So that's the
- 6:12Speaker 1: reason they keep it posting it. We'll get to this
- 6:14Speaker 1: in the next hour. It's a very good topic. In
- 6:17Speaker 1: the next hour. We'll get to this save act. It's
- 6:19Speaker 1: very important. You know, the yell and scream on MSNBC
- 6:24Speaker 1: or CNN, how it's wrong to make people show a
- 6:26Speaker 1: photo ID. It's racist. It suppresses you have to show
- 6:30Speaker 1: a photo ID to get into MSNBC or CNN. Every
- 6:34Speaker 1: guest on the show has to show a photo ID.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I'm sitting here at iHeart. You got to show photo
- 6:39Speaker 1: ID to get in this building. Everybody does everywhere. Hey,
- 6:42Speaker 1: when we come back to brilliant columnist Liz Peak, we'll
- 6:45Speaker 1: be with us next. We've got lots to talk to
- 6:47Speaker 1: her about, coming up on seven to ten WR
