- 0:00In the sleepy farming town of Kelly, Kentucky, nestled within
- 0:05rolling hills and thick woods, an ordinary evening in August of
- 0:111955 unraveled into something extraordinary and horrifying.
- 0:19A farm stood as a modest haven amidst the rural expanse, it's
- 0:25tobacco fields stretching under a cloudless moonlit sky.
- 0:30That night, a family gathering had brought laughter and the
- 0:35comfort of kinship into a small farmhouse.
- 0:39But peace is a fragile thing, and in the quiet of night, it
- 0:45was shattered with a scream. I recently had the pleasure of
- 0:51interviewing the foremost authority on the Ghost and Me
- 0:54podcast, which is my new weekly podcast of what has become known
- 1:00as the Kelly Hopkinsville Goblins Case or encounter author
- 1:06Geraldine Sutton Stith, the daughter of Cecil Lucky Sutton,
- 1:12who was present and intimately involved with the encounter
- 1:16itself. I will link the full interview
- 1:19in the description as well as at the end of the video because
- 1:23it's truly a fascinating one and one that I was honored to be a
- 1:27part of along with my Co host Bob.
- 1:31With that being said, this video is a deep dive into the story
- 1:34itself, pulling from a variety of sources, but mostly Geraldine
- 1:40herself. Now let us begin.
- 1:45The year was 1955 in a place called Kelly, Kentucky.
- 1:51Ellie, a small town by any standards, was especially small
- 1:56at that time, boasting about 150 residents or so, with a main
- 2:02occupation of them all being farming.
- 2:06It was here that Glenny Langford, the grandmother of
- 2:10Geraldine and the mother of Cecil, owned a small farm
- 2:15measuring about 27 acres in size.
- 2:20The family, along with most, were poor but proud farmers.
- 2:25They grew tobacco and had several livestock animals.
- 2:29There on the farm. Living alongside Glenny was her
- 2:33son Jesse and his wife Elaine, who helped run the farm with
- 2:39their three children, Mark, age 12, Lonnie, age 10, and Mary,
- 2:47who was seven. Jesse had recently came home
- 2:51from the Korean War and hadn't been home longer than a year or
- 2:55so. Adjusting back to civilian life
- 2:58had been hard for him, but working on the farm and looking
- 3:02after his family certainly helped.
- 3:05The particular weekend that so happened to coincide with the
- 3:10visit of Cecil and his first wife Vera, as well as their
- 3:15friends Billy Ray in June Taylor, who were stationed in
- 3:21Evansville. They worked for a carnival at
- 3:24that time and it just so happened to be near enough to
- 3:27visit. A break from work sounded nice,
- 3:31and who doesn't love some quality time with family and
- 3:34friends alongside some home cooking?
- 3:38So they would drive to the farm and spend Friday and Saturday
- 3:42together, enjoying the weekend that Sunday.
- 3:47With Monday and their inevitable return to work incoming, the
- 3:52family was doing their best to enjoy the time that they had
- 3:55left together. Lenny, who was a very religious
- 3:59woman who had gone to a church service earlier in the day, was
- 4:03returning home together. The family ate supper and
- 4:08started to play cards after they had finished eating.
- 4:12The family didn't have plumbing at the farmhouse, so Billy Ray
- 4:16had gone out to the well to get some water.
- 4:19Stepping outside with pale in hand, he soon hears something
- 4:24above him, something strange. There in the sky before him, he
- 4:30sees a silver Oval shaped object with what he would later call
- 4:35the colors of the rainbow flowing behind it.
- 4:40Perplexed, he watches for a few seconds.
- 4:44The object, roughly 40 feet in the air or so, goes across the
- 4:49sky and then back behind the house itself and into the
- 4:54backfield. It then slowly descends and
- 4:58lands in the back goalie, going completely out of Billy Ray's
- 5:02sight. Not knowing what to make of what
- 5:05he had just seen, Billy Ray rushes into the house and starts
- 5:10telling everyone about what he had saw.
- 5:12Lenny tries to reason with him, telling him that he probably had
- 5:16just seen a shooting star, to which he would reply with no, I
- 5:22know what a shooting star is and this was not it.
- 5:27There had been meteor showers going on earlier in the month,
- 5:31but not at this particular time. Cecil, noticing that Billy Ray
- 5:36was as wide as a ghost and sweating profusely, ask him to
- 5:41come with him back outside and explain to him exactly what he
- 5:46had seen with both men now standing outside after Billy Ray
- 5:52motions to where the object had been and described it to Cecil,
- 5:57or better known as Lucky. Lucky then tells Billy Ray that
- 6:01they should go look in the backfield, that whatever it was
- 6:06was probably gone and that after they look and see, but they
- 6:11should go back inside and enjoy what was left of the evening.
- 6:15But to both men shock and amazement as they stepped behind
- 6:20the house headed towards the field.
- 6:23Before their very eyes emerging from that field was a small
- 6:29being. But this being is unlike
- 6:32anything they've ever seen before, and these were men who
- 6:36were very familiar with wildlife, especially around
- 6:40Kentucky. It was about 3 1/2 feet tall.
- 6:45It had a big roundhead, large glowing eyes, big pointed ears,
- 6:53and long gangly arms that almost touched the ground.
- 6:58The being itself isn't walking with its legs, but rather it's
- 7:03floating above the grass headed towards them.
- 7:07Awestruck for a few seconds as the creature approaches them,
- 7:11the two then quickly run back to the house and rush inside,
- 7:16slamming the door behind them. Seeing the men rush inside
- 7:21startles the rest of the family, with most of them asking just
- 7:26what was wrong with them two. But as the men try to explain
- 7:30the seriousness of the situation, most of them think it
- 7:34was just some kind of joke. Considering these were people in
- 7:39their late teens and early 20s, most of the adults anyways, it
- 7:44wouldn't have been totally out of the realm of possibility or
- 7:48someone to pull a prank. However, they would quickly see
- 7:53that this was indeed not the case.
- 7:57Glenny, deciding that she had heard enough, told everyone that
- 8:02the children needed to get to bed.
- 8:05A short while later, after laying them down to sleep, she
- 8:09sees Cecil standing at the front door next to Billy Ray.
- 8:14One has a shotgun and one has a rifle.
- 8:18Realizing that this wasn't some kind of prank, Lenny would ask
- 8:23Billy Ray just what exactly did you see?
- 8:27You would then tell her that. Miss Glenny, I hope it's
- 8:31something that you never have to see.
- 8:35So she squats down there beside the two.
- 8:39It's a quiet night, there's a full moon and it's light is
- 8:44illuminating everything surrounding this small
- 8:47farmhouse. With this light you can see
- 8:51nearly everything and there's an obvious tension.
- 8:55Everyone there is certainly on edge, especially Billy Ray, who
- 9:01seems to be jumping at every sound made in the shadows.
- 9:07While Glenny sits there, hearing the banter between everyone, she
- 9:11suddenly sees something that shakes her to her core.
- 9:16There, before her very eyes, she sees this small entity rounding
- 9:21the corner of the house. Its eyes are massive and
- 9:26glowing. As a matter of fact, its whole
- 9:30body seems bioluminescent. And as most of us would do, she
- 9:36lets out a blood curdling scream, chattering the quiet
- 9:40tension that had previously existed within the stillness of
- 9:46this strange night. Everybody quickly comes running
- 9:50to where she's at. She had been so startled that
- 9:55the shock had caused her to fall to the floor.
- 9:58Cecil or Lucky quickly helps her up and she frantically tells him
- 10:04that I just saw it, there is something out here.
- 10:10As Glenny tries to explain what she saw in detail, her
- 10:14explanation is soon cut short by the rapturous sound a gun being
- 10:20fired. Running to the source they find
- 10:25Jesse and he shot one through the window of the house.
- 10:29Billy Ray goes rushing out the front door looking for anything
- 10:34out of the ordinary that could be a threat.
- 10:38As he's standing there below the little stoop over the front
- 10:41door, everyone else watching him soon sees a little clawed hand
- 10:48descend from the top of the stoop.
- 10:52This clawed hand then seems to try and grab his hair as the
- 10:57others scream. Before the hand can grab him,
- 11:01Lucky runs and grabs Billy Ray and pulls him into the house.
- 11:08He then rushes outside with his gun.
- 11:11There on top of the stoop is one of these large eyed beings.
- 11:17Without hesitation, being a country boy and all, Lucky
- 11:22raises his gun and shoots this creature.
- 11:26Bizarrely, however, when it's shot, he hears the impact and
- 11:33sees the creature roll, but instead of falling off the
- 11:37stoop, it slowly floats down to the ground instead.
- 11:43Following the shooting of this first creature, someone else
- 11:47screams that there's another one in the tree beside him.
- 11:51Turning around, Lucky then sees another one of these odd
- 11:56entities on one of the large tree's branches.
- 12:01He then quickly acts again, and he shoots.
- 12:05He hits it, and he hears the impact.
- 12:09When he hits it, as with the first one, it makes a pinging
- 12:14sound like the bullet has hit something metallic.
- 12:20The creature then floats to the ground, rolls and scurries off
- 12:26into the nearby brush. They don't know what these
- 12:30things are. They're certainly not dying.
- 12:34They're getting up and rolling away.
- 12:38So what are they to do? What else can they do?
- 12:43All of the commotion, of course, woke the children up out of
- 12:46their sleep, and all the kids as well have now seen these
- 12:50creatures alongside the adults, except for the youngest, June.
- 12:57She's absolutely petrified. She refuses to look, she's
- 13:03crying, she's screaming and is hiding in the corner of the
- 13:08living room with all the children crying.
- 13:12These things, these creatures start coming up to the windows
- 13:19and doors. The family, although fear
- 13:23struck, do notice that if they keep the lights on, the
- 13:28creatures seem to stay in the darker shadows outside that
- 13:33momentarily seems to keep them away from the house, but they
- 13:37seem to still keep coming up. Not knowing exactly what to do
- 13:42from here, Lenny suggests to Lucky that, well, if we quit
- 13:47shooting, maybe they'll stop coming up to the windows and
- 13:50doors. And Lucky replies with Mom.
- 13:55I don't know. I don't know what these things
- 13:58are, and I'm not about to let them in the house to find out.
- 14:04To add to the weirdness of the situation, when these beings
- 14:07would come up to the house, they had their little hands up in the
- 14:12air, almost as if they were surrendering, like they knew
- 14:16what that meant. Lenny even told Lucky that maybe
- 14:21something's wrong. They've got their hands up in
- 14:24the air, but Lucky would say that I don't care, mom, we're
- 14:30not letting them in. We don't know what these are.
- 14:34And honestly, who can blame him? As this episode continued, Lucky
- 14:41tried to keep everyone calm. He told them we're going to
- 14:46Hopkinsville, we're going to try and get help, this is going to
- 14:51be OK. As he got them all quiet and
- 14:55just as he thought it was the right time to run out the door,
- 14:59it would freeze in his tracks. They all them would hear
- 15:03something peculiar, what they believed to be one of the
- 15:08creatures going across the tin roof.
- 15:13As it went across, its nails were clicking and scratching,
- 15:19making everyone's skin crawl and their hair stand on end.
- 15:25June started screaming again, and then all of the kids began
- 15:30crying. Vera asked Lucky, what are we
- 15:34going to do? And he would tell her, listen,
- 15:39we're going to get out of here. We're going to get help.
- 15:42Just calm down. It takes some time but he once
- 15:47again manages to calm everyone down yet again.
- 15:51He then tells Billy Ray let's go out the back and take a quick
- 15:55look. But the two step out into the
- 15:58yard which is still glowing with the radiant light of the full
- 16:02moon. The two men are looking around,
- 16:06guns in hand. Billy Ray then turns around and
- 16:10grabs Lucky's arm and says, look, there's one going up the
- 16:15side of the house. There before the men was indeed
- 16:19one of the oddities climbing up the house headed toward the
- 16:23roof. Lucky they named his shotgun and
- 16:28pulled the trigger. He was successful in hitting one
- 16:32of these things again. It fell to the ground and popped
- 16:37up and floated from the back of the house over to a fence post
- 16:43about 40 feet away. Lucky then fires and hits this
- 16:49one a second time. Seeing this really gave the men
- 16:54pause. This thing floated in front of
- 16:57them across the yard like it defied the laws of physics.
- 17:02Lucky then tells Billy Ray let's get back in the house and let's
- 17:07try to get out of here. Just don't tell everyone what
- 17:11you saw. And he more than likely was
- 17:14saying this is to not further upset the family.
- 17:18However when they go back inside, of course everyone
- 17:22inside had heard the gunshots. Glenny demanding to know, asks
- 17:30what did you just shoot at? With Lucky replying it's OK and
- 17:37Billy Ray chiming in as well. We just had to shoot one of them
- 17:41off the house. But it's OK, we're OK.
- 17:46After the family is settled again, the night seems to get
- 17:51quiet. Nothing comes up to the windows
- 17:55or the doors. It's almost an eerie stillness.
- 18:00Lucky had thought maybe when he shot that one that it had
- 18:04finally been injured. When it finally got to the fence
- 18:08post, when he had shot it again, it fell off.
- 18:14This time it didn't scurry off as quickly as before.
- 18:19So he was thinking maybe he had finally got one.
- 18:24Feeling like things had calmed down enough, everyone all
- 18:28together would rush to their trucks, load up in them, and
- 18:32start the trip straight to Hopkinsville, looking nervously
- 18:37behind them the whole way. They would make it there to the
- 18:42small police station in the middle of the night again.
- 18:47The year is 1955. There's just one officer on
- 18:52duty, and suddenly 11 people ages 7 to 50 burst in, utterly
- 19:01terrified. The officer is just awestruck.
- 19:06They're all trying to explain what happened.
- 19:11The officer tries to make sense of it all and says, wait a
- 19:15minute, you're telling me that you're shooting little men at
- 19:18your farm? To which Lucky responds with you
- 19:23don't understand what I'm trying to tell you.
- 19:26The officer, telling them all to calm down, says that he's going
- 19:31to call the chief. He dials on the phone and Soon
- 19:35is on the line with Chief Russell Greenwell.
- 19:40He tells him call Fort Campbell Army base, which was about 10
- 19:45miles from Hopkinsville. Call the newspaper and see if
- 19:49you can get every state trooper that's out tonight find them and
- 19:54get them to Kelly. We're going to see what's really
- 19:57going on. The chief's wife overhears all
- 20:00of this too, but she gets up and goes with him.
- 20:05They then head to the station as well.
- 20:08When they arrive, they see 11 terrified people.
- 20:13It's obvious that something has happened.
- 20:17The chief and his wife try to calm them.
- 20:20Within due time, all the additional authorities would
- 20:24arrive. By the time they do, there's
- 20:27approximately 25 people, including the police, military
- 20:33and reporters. There's soon a caravan of
- 20:37vehicles now headed to the small town of Kelly in the dead of
- 20:43this strange night. When they all arrive at the
- 20:46farm, they step out of their vehicles and immediately feel
- 20:51that something is off the place. The overall environment just
- 20:58feels creepy. As they search, some of the
- 21:03police officers see a glowing substance on the ground around
- 21:07the back of the house. It was believed to be the spot
- 21:12where Lucky had shot one of the creatures.
- 21:16They run back there to look, but when they get close the glow
- 21:21disappears. They call Chief Greenwell over
- 21:26and he too looks at the spot. He says, well, I don't see any
- 21:32glow, but there's evidence that the grass is different in that
- 21:36spot than it is around it. They continue searching for
- 21:41about two to three hours, but nothing could be found.
- 21:47Glennie was beside herself. She was afraid to go back in the
- 21:51house. The chief would go up to her and
- 21:54say, Miss Glennie, I'm so sorry, but there's nothing here.
- 22:01Nothing except for evidence that y'all did some shooting.
- 22:04And indeed, rifle and shotgun shells were all over the outside
- 22:09of the house and even in the inside of the house.
- 22:13The woodwork was shot up, screens were shot through.
- 22:17There was nothing there to show what they had shot at.
- 22:22So with nothing left to do, the authorities would go ahead and
- 22:26leave. Glenny was left there with the
- 22:30rest of the family, with nobody else to help if these things
- 22:35came back, and she was truly hoping that they wouldn't
- 22:40return. Once the family is back inside,
- 22:45it does take some time yet again, but the kids eventually
- 22:49settle down and finally head back to bed.
- 22:53Lucky sits in a rocking chair beside Glenny with a shotgun
- 22:57across this lap. They're all exhausted, both
- 23:01physically and mentally. Lenny closes her eyes, trying to
- 23:06get some rest, but then something, and she's not sure
- 23:12what, causes her to open them yet again, there before her, her
- 23:18horror. One of these creatures is yet
- 23:22again at the window, thinking that she's just tired and
- 23:26possibly hallucinating, and then closes her eyes again.
- 23:30But when she opens them for a second time and this bang this
- 23:35being is still standing there. It's at this time that she
- 23:40screams to Lucky that they're back.
- 23:43Everyone then jumps up once again.
- 23:47They're trying to keep these creatures out of the house, and
- 23:51these efforts would continue until around 4:30 or 5:00 AM in
- 23:56the morning. But as the family struggled with
- 24:00the morning sun starting to come up, the creatures seemingly out
- 24:05of nowhere disappeared. In the words of Geraldine's
- 24:10sudden stiff. So sure enough, when that bright
- 24:14sunshine came up, they disappeared.
- 24:18Mom and Dad got the family down and he told them all.
- 24:22He says, listen, he says, I heard them last night.
- 24:25They were laughing at us. No good can come of this, so
- 24:28don't even say another word about it.
- 24:30We're just going to have to go on with our lives, forget this
- 24:33ever happened. And Vera asked him and says,
- 24:35well, well, how are we supposed to forget this?
- 24:38He says, I know it's going to be hard.
- 24:41I don't know, but we got to forget this happened.
- 24:46What followed the events of August 21st of 1955 but
- 24:51effectively be a circus of unwanted publicity and tourism.
- 24:57A massive amount of people would descend upon the Sutton Farm and
- 25:02make this case infamous, for better or for worse.
- 25:08And so, you know, work it out. I mean, it was, it'd gotten out.
- 25:13It didn't take long at all. Everybody from everywhere was
- 25:15coming from everywhere wanting to see the little beans and
- 25:19camping out in the yard and wanting to talk to the family.
- 25:22And they got no rest, of course. My dad and Billy Ray and the
- 25:28girls had to go back to work. They were able to stay another
- 25:31day or two, but then they had to leave.
- 25:34And my grandmother was going to be left there, you know, her
- 25:36three kids and Uncle Jason, Aunt Eiling.
- 25:39Would they be able to take care of, you know, these things if
- 25:42they were to come back? Because that was the big fear.
- 25:46Would they come back? Why were they there in the 1st
- 25:50place? And if they didn't get what they
- 25:51wanted the first time, would they come back to get it?
- 25:54You know, that was a fear in Kelly.
- 25:56The people that lived around there had this fear.
- 25:58My mom lived in Kelly with her first husband and seven kids at
- 26:03the time. And she says it was terrifying.
- 26:07Everyone was scared. Well, my grandmother thought the
- 26:10best of it, and she sold the farm within two weeks and moved
- 26:14into Hopkinsville to an apartment complex.
- 26:16So did my uncle JC, and Aunt Eileen got out of there because
- 26:20she was afraid. She didn't know what else to do.
- 26:23She didn't want to leave her farm.
- 26:25But you know, she was terrified. Geraldine herself goes in depth
- 26:31not only of the encounter itself, but lots of additional
- 26:35details surrounding it as well as the circus that followed.
- 26:40In my interview with her on the Ghost and Me podcast, which I'll
- 26:44link here as well as in the description below, I would
- 26:48further explain the details, but she just adds so much herself
- 26:52that it would be an injustice not to let you hear it from the
- 26:56horse's mouth, so to speak. What is ultimately important to
- 27:00remember is that this was a family.
- 27:04They didn't ask for this to happen.
- 27:06They didn't seek financial compensation or try to make a
- 27:10spectacle in order to profit in any way.
- 27:15They simply were overwhelmed by what they were experiencing
- 27:18together and sought help through appropriate means.
- 27:23A publicity or potential publicity would have been an
- 27:26afterthought. Again, Geraldine very much goes
- 27:30in depth on this is well as how the night affected her father as
- 27:34well as other members of her family.
- 27:36In our interview and between the interview, as well as diving
- 27:41into some of Geraldine's books surrounding the case and doing
- 27:44my own research online, I did find another case that is eerily
- 27:49similar in some respects, albeit not in Appalachia.
- 27:54I wanted to share it with you before giving my thoughts on the
- 27:57case as a whole. In July of 1692, amidst the
- 28:02turmoil of the Salem Witch Trials, the town of Gloucester,
- 28:07MA experienced a series of mysterious events that left its
- 28:13residents both alarmed and perplexed.
- 28:17For approximately 2 weeks, the town was reportedly besieged by
- 28:22enigmatic figures, believed to be the spectral apparitions of
- 28:26indigenous people and Frenchmen emerging from the swamps and
- 28:31cornfields. These entities approached the
- 28:34local Garrison, often in groups. Attempts to defend against them
- 28:40proved futile. Firearms frequently misfired and
- 28:44when they did discharge, old seemed to have no effect.
- 28:49The intruders spoke in an unfamiliar language and while
- 28:53they carried functional weapons, or so it seemed, evident later
- 28:58by bullets found later embedded in trees, it caused no physical
- 29:02harm to the townspeople. The situation escalated to the
- 29:06point where Major Samuel Appleton of Ipswich dispatched
- 29:11approximately 60 men on July 18th to assist Glaucaster during
- 29:17these inexplicable disturbances. Reverend John Emerson of
- 29:22Glaucaster documented these occurrences in a letter to
- 29:26Cotton Mather, suggesting that the town's afflictions were the
- 29:30work of the devil and his agents, appearing as small
- 29:34creatures with large eyes and big ears rather than tangible
- 29:40French and indigenous attackers. Mather, in his work Magnolia
- 29:46Christie Americana, noted that even a decade later, respected
- 29:52individuals in the region believed these events were a
- 29:55significant manifestation of the unseen world.
- 30:00This account, among others, indicates the pervasive
- 30:03atmosphere of fear and superstition that characterized
- 30:07the period, leading communities to interpret unexplained
- 30:11phenomena as supernatural threats.
- 30:14Other than the apparitions appearing as the alleged people,
- 30:18others described the beings as small devils with large eyes and
- 30:23large ears, a glaring similarity to the Kelly Hopkinsville case
- 30:29that I've covered here today. Albeit not completely the same,
- 30:33I did find it noteworthy enough to mention.
- 30:37I also don't believe that the creatures experienced by
- 30:39Geraldine's family members wielded any sort of weapons, at
- 30:44least from what we know. While I'm leaving many details
- 30:47to Geraldine herself, and for good reason, including myths and
- 30:52misconceptions about the case, all of which again, we have
- 30:56covered on the Ghost to Me podcast episode with her, as
- 30:59well as in her books, which I'll tell you about here shortly, I
- 31:03did want to share my thoughts on the case as a whole, in no
- 31:07particular order. I remember hearing about the
- 31:10case from my good friend Bob, as well as watching the show
- 31:13Hellyer, and coincidentally when we were visiting the area
- 31:18together about two years ago. For reasons that were unrelated
- 31:22to the case itself. We did end up finding the
- 31:25coordinates of where the farm was located, and albeit it was
- 31:29at night, we did find ourselves at the exact location where the
- 31:33goblin encounter took place, which was surreal to say the
- 31:37least. I'm sure lots has changed since
- 31:401955, but they're in the flesh and to try to put yourself in
- 31:45the shoes of the family who endured the event, it really
- 31:49just adds another layer to this incredible story that I can't
- 31:53truly put into words. And even with much development
- 31:57taking place over the decades, the area of where the farm is
- 32:01located is still extremely rural, with one having to take
- 32:05several back roads to even find its location.
- 32:10Something that I noticed in Geraldine's recounting of the
- 32:12story was the metallic sound or pinging of the bullets as they
- 32:18hit the creatures, or as most refer to them now, as goblins.
- 32:24Was this perhaps due to some kind of force field or armor
- 32:28they had? That's where my mind tends to
- 32:31wander. And if this was the case, did
- 32:34they perhaps have that armor weakened as a result of multiple
- 32:38shots, as with Lucky shooting the other goblin for a second
- 32:42time near the post? They did also mention that these
- 32:47things were bioluminescent, that they seemed to have a sort of
- 32:51glow about them. But if perhaps they weren't
- 32:54truly glowing, did they maybe have had metallic skin or armor
- 33:00on? Perhaps this metallic coating or
- 33:03what have you could have been reflecting the glow of the full
- 33:07moonlight that night. It would explain the pinging
- 33:10sounds. However, I tend to lean into it
- 33:13could have been a bit of both because during the research with
- 33:17the authorities, several cops saw a glowing residue near where
- 33:21the goblin had been shot near the post for the second time.
- 33:26That leads me to believe that maybe they could have had
- 33:30glowing blood, although that's just mere speculation on my
- 33:34part. I mean, if they were
- 33:36bioluminescent, but only makes sense, right?
- 33:41And with the concept of a force field fresh in our minds, did
- 33:45these goblins have some sort of telekinetic abilities?
- 33:50I mean, they were floating instead of falling, as if they
- 33:53defied the laws of physics themselves.
- 33:57Was this perhaps due to acute mental abilities or was it the
- 34:01result of foreign technology that we're just not aware of
- 34:05yet? When the creatures initially hid
- 34:08after their arrival and then hid after the first interaction and
- 34:13then after. I asked Geraldine if there were
- 34:17or are any caves where the farm is, and albeit she didn't know,
- 34:22there have been rumors of people finding goblin like beings in
- 34:26the caves throughout Appalachia, which is a terrifying prospect
- 34:30indeed, to think that these things could ultimately perhaps
- 34:34be interconnected. With that being said, are these
- 34:39goblins, these entities, a manifestation of what we call
- 34:45the phenomenon, for a lack of a better term, the mysterious
- 34:50supernatural force that seems to present itself just beyond the
- 34:54veil of our conscious minds, only seeping through for a brief
- 35:00time. That very said veil is thinner
- 35:04than normal. Are they interdimensional
- 35:07creatures coming from another plane of existence?
- 35:11Or are they, as many believe them to be, given the
- 35:14unidentified flying object that Billy Ray saw, extraterrestrial
- 35:20in nature, Are they from another planet?
- 35:23All interesting thoughts to ponder, no doubt, as we've let
- 35:27our minds run wild and be immersed in this perplexing
- 35:32case. I wonder why the goblins
- 35:35approached the family as if they were surrendering, but then
- 35:39ultimately would end up scaling the house and then trying to
- 35:43grab Billy Ray from the stoop above the porch.
- 35:46Did they need help? Were they trying to convey this
- 35:50via their hands up signaling or were they trying to lure the
- 35:54family into a false sense of security?
- 35:57Also, I do have to say the thought of the little clawed
- 36:01hand and then the clanking of one on top of the roof, both of
- 36:05those instances are so creepy to me.
- 36:08Now the authorities did do a thorough search that very
- 36:11morning using both men on the ground as well as I believe
- 36:15helicopters doing grid searches, but they didn't find any
- 36:20creatures themselves, albeit allegedly they found evidence of
- 36:24their existence, which ties into a whole other alien conspiracy
- 36:29rabbit hole. Geraldine goes extensively into
- 36:32this in several of her books, but most recently in the Kelly
- 36:37Green Men Alien Legacy Revisited, where she adds
- 36:42numerous details as well as photos of the alleged footprints
- 36:46found of the creatures. I can't stress that there's only
- 36:50so much I can add without mentioning both my interview
- 36:53with Geraldine as well as her books.
- 36:56She truly is the foremost authority on the case itself,
- 37:00and I find it very admirable how much effort she puts into
- 37:04keeping what has become local Kentucky folklore, now very much
- 37:08alive for not only the folklore aspect, but her family's
- 37:12history. In conclusion, remember that
- 37:16this was a family they didn't ask for what happened to them.
- 37:21Now I wanted to quickly mention that Geraldine has a new book
- 37:25with a lot more information and historical references coming out
- 37:29very soon and it should be available on Amazon as well as
- 37:34most if not all main book selling platforms.
- 37:38She also will be selling it via her Etsy shop, which is Aliens
- 37:42and Goblins and that'll be for autographed copies.
- 37:46Now following our interview, I actually ordered my own goblin
- 37:50from her store and I just so happened to get it today, which
- 37:54is also when I happened to finish the script and recorded
- 37:58it for you folks. Now, mine's name is Lucky, which
- 38:01is very cool because that was Geraldine's dad's nickname, as
- 38:05you guys know from the story itself, and she included a copy
- 38:09of her book for me as well. So I know I've already reached
- 38:12out to you personally, but if you're watching this, thank you
- 38:15very much, Geraldine, for your time and your effort and for
- 38:19this little guy, as well as the book and photograph.
- 38:22I really and truly appreciate it.
- 38:24I don't want to sound like a broken record, but definitely go
- 38:27check out Geraldine's store and her books as well and our
- 38:31interview together on the Ghost to Me podcast, which I now do
- 38:34weekly episodes on, delving into all sorts of high strangeness.
- 38:39I did also want to thank Fobicon for some of the artwork used in
- 38:42this video. Definitely support him and go
- 38:45show his videos some love and subscribe while you're at it.
- 38:49You can also purchase my books, which Volume 3 of Stories from
- 38:53the Archives is coming very soon.
- 38:56It'll be available either on Amazon, Beyond the Frey
- 38:59Publishing, or you can order an autographed copy or copies from
