- 0:00On the sand queen, I don't care what other people think.
- 0:03My practitioner was like, I have never seen
- 0:06zonular levels this high before my life.
- 0:08What on earth do I eat?
- 0:10The problem is everyone is so unique.
- 0:12There's no one's ice fits all.
- 0:13My kids eat my grove pizza and chicken nuggets.
- 0:16Ha ha.
- 0:17When I was a kid, I ate whatever I wanted.
- 0:21And here I am, extremely healthy.
- 0:23It was a chef of 20 plus years I've always been about taste.
- 0:26But it was becoming a father that made me really start
- 0:29to think about function because I want my kids to thrive
- 0:32and I want to be around long enough to witness it.
- 0:34And it was when my daughter became ill.
- 0:37My wife and I, we struggled to get the right nutrients in her.
- 0:40It was a true wake-up call.
- 0:41That experience is why pluck was created.
- 0:43So pluck is a superfood seasoning
- 0:46made with 100% grass-fed beef organmates blended
- 0:49with organic spices and herbs.
- 0:51The beautiful thing is it doesn't taste like organmates.
- 0:53It just tastes like the seasoning you're already using,
- 0:56but better.
- 0:57Because when you add it,
- 0:58you're adding these bioavailable nutrients
- 1:01that your body can actually use.
- 1:04If you consult it, you can pluck it.

- 1:11off your first order using code EA15.
- 1:15You're the salmon queen.
- 1:16Why salmon?
- 1:17Salmon is the one food that I turn to for every purpose.
- 1:22So I was diagnosed with autoimmune diseases.
- 1:26I have ulcerative colitis.
- 1:27I have no large intestine.
- 1:29I've got IBS.
- 1:30I've got Miki gut.
- 1:31I've got Crohn's disease.
- 1:33And when I learned about all of these diagnoses,
- 1:36I was like, what on earth do I eat?
- 1:38So I went through this elimination phase.
- 1:42And this was back when I was around 14 years old,
- 1:44which is why I adopted a keto-vor diet back then.
- 1:49And now just fully carnivore for 24 years.
- 1:52I just gave away my age, everyone.
- 1:54That being said, the one food that I found
- 1:58that always made me feel really good
- 2:00and was also delicious was salmon,
- 2:03specifically farm-ray salmon.
- 2:04The wild caught salmon and I were not like best friends
- 2:07because it's not as fatty as farm-ray salmon
- 2:11and I love fat.
- 2:12So that's why I turned salmon.
- 2:15I mean, in my world as a chef,
- 2:17it's always about wild salmon.
- 2:19They're always talking about that's the more nutritious.
- 2:21And I noticed that you're very pro-formed.
- 2:24So is it just the fat?
- 2:25Well, you know, I have visited a lot of salmon farms
- 2:28and the reason why farm-ray salmon
- 2:30gets such a bad reputation is because back in the 1960s
- 2:33when it first started becoming a thing,
- 2:36there was no rules and regulations whatsoever.
- 2:38Salmon farms were just feeding salmon
- 2:40whatever the heck they wanted
- 2:42and that injecting it with hormones and pesticide
- 2:44and all of that kind of stuff and antibiotics
- 2:47to make it healthier kind of like conventionally raised cows.
- 2:50And they would just try to fatten them up as quickly
- 2:52as possible and then just selling it.
- 2:54So they had a lot of different chemicals in them.
- 2:56It just was not regulated.
- 2:58So after, you know, the FEA became aware of such situations
- 3:03and proclaiming a farm-ray salmon
- 3:05is like the worst thing on the face of the planet,
- 3:07these farms started to clean up their act.
- 3:10So a lot of salmon farms,
- 3:12I'm not gonna say all salmon farms
- 3:14have really changed their ways
- 3:16and now they feed their salmon things like macroe
- 3:19and sardines and other healthy fats
- 3:23to really enhance the property of the salmon.
- 3:25And then on top of that,
- 3:27they live in very clean environments
- 3:29and they test the waters and they use different methods
- 3:33not antibiotics in order to make sure
- 3:35that the fish is healthy.
- 3:37So everything that people are seeing
- 3:39is all dated research or they found maybe one or two farms
- 3:45that are still practicing negative ways of raising salmon
- 3:49and decided to basically sensationalize those headlines
- 3:54because everyone's trying to find a click these days.
- 3:56But I have my sources of farm-ray salmon
- 3:59that I turn to all the time.
- 4:01I mean, I'm healthy.
- 4:02I get all my blood worked on.
- 4:03I got my omega-3s and my omega-6 check.
- 4:06And if anything, I need to eat more omega-6 fatty acids
- 4:08because my omega-3s are so high.
- 4:11You're known for eating salmon exclusively, right?
- 4:14Yeah, I do.
- 4:16I do put in some beef there here in there.
- 4:18My husband's a hunter.
- 4:19So we have a lot of caribou and mousse in our freezer
- 4:22that has to be eaten because everybody in this house
- 4:24except for me eats out pretty much all the time.
- 4:27I have to like force feed them,
- 4:29which is really sad because this meat is very good.
- 4:32Typically, I exclusively eat salmon.
- 4:34My body only wants salmon whenever someone says,
- 4:38what do you want to eat?
- 4:39I'm like, is that even a question?
- 4:40Why are you asking that?
- 4:41Because all I want is salmon.
- 4:43So I'll go in the freezer.
- 4:45I'll see these frozen meats like caribou and mousse
- 4:48and bear and elk.
- 4:49And then I see my salmon.
- 4:50And I'm like, I'm going to grab the salmon now.
- 4:54The list of kind of health elements
- 4:56you have experienced and continue to experience.
- 4:59From autoimmune, you mentioned celiac,
- 5:02crowns, ulcerated colitis.
- 5:05You have no large intestine.
- 5:06You have a host of food allergies,
- 5:08which I have to wonder if that's just connected
- 5:10to the other things, right?
- 5:12I would assume so.
- 5:14I had lactose intolerance long before I was diagnosed
- 5:18with everything else, but at the same time,
- 5:20I feel like everything kind of goes hand in hand.
- 5:23But you're not someone I think on the outside
- 5:25that people go, oh, she must have a host of health issues, right?
- 5:29Where do you see these health issues stemming from?
- 5:33Have you identified that yet?
- 5:34You know, not really.
- 5:35So when I had my large intestine removed,
- 5:37they couldn't quite figure out what the issue was.
- 5:40They did mention that I had a longer than normal large intestine
- 5:44and my mom also has that as well.
- 5:46I think it is genetic goes.
- 5:48My mom has very similar digestive issues.
- 5:51I have to God do not really know.
- 5:53My focus, though, is just making sure
- 5:56that I feel my best every day,
- 5:58back in like December of 2025, even.
- 6:03That's when I have like a very pivotal moment
- 6:05that mainly just all of a sudden do it 180.
- 6:09And I just feel tremendously better.
- 6:12Like from the age 14 until now, basically,
- 6:17I have been, you know, toying with different options
- 6:21and different supplements and all of that kind of stuff.
- 6:24And then December just was like a flip of the switch
- 6:27because I got a stool test done.
- 6:30And the stool test told me that I had
- 6:32extremely high zonulin levels, which means I have leaky gut.
- 6:36And in fact, my practitioner was like,
- 6:38I have never seen zonulin levels this high before in my life.
- 6:43I highly recommend everyone gets stool tests
- 6:45because if you have high zonulin levels,
- 6:47which means you're gonna be bloated after anything that you eat.
- 6:51Like I'm over here eating a keto-vor lifestyle,
- 6:53mostly carnivore, now fully carnivore.
- 6:57And I was still getting bloated, except the salmon.
- 7:00That was the one thing that like I never,
- 7:02I never got bloated from.
- 7:04And I was feeling terrible and I feel I just felt heavy
- 7:07and exhausted by the end of the day.
- 7:10I mean, I get up very early in the morning
- 7:12so that I could play a factor.
- 7:14But then I started to treat my zonulin levels
- 7:18and I feel like a new woman.
- 7:22What were those steps?
- 7:23Yeah, so when I was talking to my practitioner,
- 7:26she recommended mastic gum, DGL, which is licorice root extract
- 7:31and zinc carnazine.
- 7:33And then I did my own research
- 7:35because I was also suffering from really bad back pain
- 7:38and I actually posted a photo of my x-ray on Instagram.
- 7:43And I was like, look at me, I'm screwed up everybody
- 7:46because I had fractures all over my back
- 7:48and it just, it wasn't a good look.
- 7:50And I actually have a scoliosis, believe it or not,
- 7:53didn't even know.
- 7:54And someone messaged me and she was like,
- 7:57you need to try BPC157 and TD500
- 8:01and I'm like, what on earth was this?
- 8:02At this point I'm so desperate, I will try anything.
- 8:05So if people don't know what that is, it's a peptide.
- 8:08Everyone's talking about peptides these days are obsessed
- 8:11and I have to admit, so am I
- 8:13because I have no back pain anymore whatsoever.
- 8:17And those two peptides also helped with my gut health
- 8:20but I introduced a different one as well called KPV
- 8:23which is specifically for leaky gut
- 8:27and disinflammation in your body in general.
- 8:29So those are the peptides that I do
- 8:31and they have completely, completely changed relic.
- 8:35You were working for like E entertainment.
- 8:37You're in front of the camera, you're beautiful, you glow,
- 8:42like you have this look that I think people associate
- 8:44with like healthy, you know, got it all together, you know,
- 8:48and yet here you were like suffering.
- 8:51Where did it all kind of start this path
- 8:55of trying to get healthier?
- 8:58You know what's interesting is I have a mentality
- 9:01of something always worse could be the situation.
- 9:05So I'm always blessed to, you know, have all of my limbs
- 9:09and be alive and all that kind of stuff.
- 9:11So when I'm suffering from my ailments,
- 9:14I tend to just like put a grin on and bear it
- 9:18and I've done that my entire life.
- 9:20I don't try to put on this facade of like,
- 9:22whoa is me, everyone feel bad for me?
- 9:24That's, I don't need sympathy.
- 9:27That's the word I was trying to get at
- 9:28because I can motivate myself
- 9:30and I can make sure that I am on the right path
- 9:34and I know that everybody, not everybody,
- 9:37but I know a lot of people out there
- 9:38have it a lot worse than me.
- 9:40So I'm never going to complain about my issues.
- 9:43I will certainly talk about them
- 9:45and discuss them with other people
- 9:47who might have similar issues.
- 9:48That's why I talk about any of my ailments
- 9:51that I've had in the past is because I wanted
- 9:55to make it a conversation.
- 9:57I wanted people to realize that gut issues
- 10:00as embarrassing as some can be need to be spoken about.
- 10:04So you can find a remedy for them.
- 10:08Otherwise, you're going to be suffering in silence
- 10:10or you're going to be suffering out loud
- 10:12and both are not fun.
- 10:15But I started my journey of trying to figure this all out
- 10:19when I was 14.
- 10:20I was actually in boarding school for snowboarding
- 10:23and I remember just feeling completely terrible.
- 10:26My mom sent me a book about the ketogenic lifestyle
- 10:30because she had been doing the ketogenic lifestyle ever
- 10:32since I was born.
- 10:33I read it, it made perfect sense.
- 10:35And then I went to the doctor and I was diagnosed
- 10:37with all of my ailments and then I adopted that lifestyle.
- 10:41But then I threw my own tweaks in there
- 10:44because oftentimes the book that I read
- 10:47or that anybody reads a specific diet book in general
- 10:51is like a one-size-fits-all mentality.
- 10:53But I think that we are all unique individuals.
- 10:55So we have to take pieces from each book
- 10:58or each article that you're reading and adopt them,
- 11:01see if they work, treat yourself like your own guinea pig.
- 11:04And if they work, amazing, keep doing that.
- 11:07And if they don't work, get them out of your life
- 11:09and try something new or just stick with what you know
- 11:12works for you.
- 11:14I mean, again, it's all trial and error.
- 11:16Every single day is trial and error.
- 11:18Like tomorrow, I might not feel good like I do today.
- 11:21And if that's the case, well, I'll analyze
- 11:24what I was doing today and see if that's why tomorrow
- 11:29I don't feel as good.
- 11:30But oftentimes what happens is something
- 11:33from three or four days ago that I might have adjusted
- 11:36or come in contact with or whatever
- 11:38is now affecting me three or four days in the future.
- 11:43And I didn't really realize that until I realized eggs
- 11:46and I do not get along.
- 11:48And I remember I got an allergy test
- 11:50and all of these allergy tests tell me
- 11:53all of the things I allergic to, obviously.
- 11:55But eggs was on this list, but I was eating eggs
- 11:58and I like didn't feel off.
- 12:01And then I just like put two and two together
- 12:04because a couple of days later,
- 12:06I would feel absolutely terrible, tired, bloated,
- 12:10such the worst stomach pain ever.
- 12:13And I would wonder like what is the reasoning behind this?
- 12:17And then because I'm so in tune with my body
- 12:21and how I process things, I realized that eggs
- 12:24was the culprit and then I got rid of them
- 12:26and I didn't find that.
- 12:27Here you're dealing with all these ailments,
- 12:30which other people are also processing, right?
- 12:32They might have a skin issue, they might have their hair
- 12:34thinning, there might be a host of things going on.
- 12:38But what sounds different about your story is they,
- 12:41it's almost like you have this driving force
- 12:43of like penetrating through all the noise is just going,
- 12:47I'm gonna try this or I'm gonna do that.
- 12:49And I think most people are getting stopped
- 12:51and I don't know where to start.
- 12:53So where do you recommend people start
- 12:56when they are recognizing all these ailments
- 12:58and they're just not knowing what to do?
- 13:02I mean, that's a tricky question to answer purely
- 13:04because there's so much noise.
- 13:07There's so many people talking about these things.
- 13:09I know the answer, I know the answer, I know the answer,
- 13:11but the problem is everyone is so unique
- 13:14and so different that like I said,
- 13:16there's no one's ice fits all.
- 13:17So what I would recommend is someone
- 13:20take one symptom that they're feeling
- 13:22right this very second and do a little bit of research
- 13:26on that one symptom in particular.
- 13:28And believe it or not, I have a feeling
- 13:30that what you'll find out is that one symptom
- 13:34might be a couple of different causes
- 13:36and those couple of different causes might also have
- 13:39the symptoms that you're experiencing
- 13:42like other symptoms that you're experiencing.
- 13:44So then you have to put two and two together.
- 13:46Oftentimes this gets a little overwhelming
- 13:48for people though as well.
- 13:49So they tend to meet guidance.
- 13:52And if that's the case, you have to go
- 13:55and do your due diligence online
- 13:57if you want to find someone to help you
- 13:59that actually cares about people.
- 14:03They're not trying to sell you something.
- 14:05They have a great track record, they have great reviews
- 14:09and then you have a conversation with them.
- 14:12Get consults from a million different practitioners
- 14:15or people who have gone through similar issues
- 14:19and really see which one you connect with.
- 14:22For me personally, like I said earlier,
- 14:24I'm my own motivator, my own self-driver.
- 14:27I don't need guidance from other people.
- 14:29I have my master's in nutrition.
- 14:31I know how to do research for myself
- 14:33and I and AOK with treating myself like my own guinea pig.
- 14:37And I think part of it is because I really passionate
- 14:40about food health nutrition.
- 14:43I was raised by a doctor who was equally as passionate.
- 14:46So I am very lucky that I was brought up
- 14:49in this world where food, nutrition, health
- 14:54and cooking things from scratch was the thing in my life.
- 14:58But I can understand where it can be very overwhelming
- 15:01for someone who's got a nine to five job,
- 15:02has three children, has to cook dinner every single night,
- 15:06has dogs, has other extracurricular activities.
- 15:10They can't sleep at night or whatever it is.
- 15:13But I mean, I'm not gonna toot my own horn,
- 15:17but if you guys wanna talk to me, I'm here for you
- 15:19because I love to help people kind of navigate
- 15:22where they're supposed to go.
- 15:24And oftentimes I do get the ends from people
- 15:26of really asking for any sort of guidance whatsoever
- 15:30because they know that I've gone through it.
- 15:32And they know that I am a no BS kind of person.
- 15:36I will tell you straight up how I feel about your lifestyle
- 15:40and if it is affecting you.
- 15:41And one thing that people don't really realize
- 15:44is stress is one of the biggest factors for your health.
- 15:50One of my girlfriends, she was going through marriage issues.
- 15:54Let's just call it that.
- 15:55She was taking all of these different prescription drugs.
- 15:59And as she finally realized that her marriage
- 16:02was the true cause of a lot of issues,
- 16:05she stopped taking these drugs
- 16:08and she started to feel better.
- 16:10And then she ended that marriage
- 16:13and now she takes no medications whatsoever.
- 16:16And her, I think it was like fibromyalgia
- 16:19is completely gone, her joint pain is gone.
- 16:22So stress can really do a number on people.
- 16:26But finding a remedy for stress
- 16:29when you're in the think of it is almost impossible
- 16:32because the world is just so go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
- 16:35These days, you have to take minutes for yourself.
- 16:39You have to treat yourself with respect
- 16:43and put yourself before other things.
- 16:46You just do, it sounds selfish.
- 16:49But in order for you to be the best for other people,
- 16:51you have to be best for yourself.
- 16:53When life gets busy, you're moving through your day,
- 16:55it's not always easy finding real food.
- 16:58That's why I've been keeping these with me.
- 17:00Our sponsor Prima makes protein bars
- 17:03using simple traditional ingredients
- 17:06like grass-fed collagen and whey, organic raw honey,
- 17:11beef tallow, cacao, coconut, sea salt,
- 17:14and they're offering 25% off for listeners of this show.
- 17:17Look, I have a simple test when it comes to protein bars.
- 17:20First, I have to recognize all the ingredients.
- 17:23Second, it's got to not wreck my gut.
- 17:25Well, Prima passes that test.
- 17:27Each bar has 21 grams of animal-based protein
- 17:31and all nine essential amino acids.
- 17:34Look, go give them a try, go to eatprima.com,
- 17:37use code ancestral 25 and get 25% off.
- 17:41I think a lot of people that have a lot of issues,
- 17:47particularly around leaky gut,
- 17:48sometimes they have mental health issues show up,
- 17:51whether it is showing up through depression
- 17:54or just feeling psychotic.
- 17:56I mean, I know some people who use the carnivore diet
- 17:59because they were dealing with split personality.
- 18:02I mean, they were dealing with that kind of stuff.
- 18:03It was getting so severe, the mental behavior.
- 18:06You seem pretty passionate about mental health as well.
- 18:09So how do you navigate that?
- 18:11I mean, we mentioned orthorexia.
- 18:12Can you just talk about that process for you?
- 18:15Yeah, so orthorexia, I dealt with that when I was first diagnosed
- 18:18with all my issues because I didn't know what that would take.
- 18:23So it was very confusing.
- 18:25And also at the age of 14, you have skinny supermodels
- 18:29in your face and people telling you that you're fat all the time.
- 18:33So you're like, what am I doing here?
- 18:35So I got really, really, really obsessed
- 18:40with trying to figure out the healthiest route for me.
- 18:43And that is what orthorexia is.
- 18:44It's being truly obsessed with finding out
- 18:49how to be as healthy as possible over exercise
- 18:52or you're only eating leafy greens
- 18:55with the tiniest bit of chicken on top or whatever it is.
- 18:58But that mentality takes over your entire life.
- 19:01It is all encompassing, all consuming.
- 19:05And you can't live a life outside of it
- 19:08because all you're doing is thinking about your next meal,
- 19:11your next workout, or feeling guilty
- 19:15about potentially overeating at your next meal
- 19:18or overeating in your previous meal.
- 19:20And in fact, your body needed some of those calories.
- 19:23So I did deal with that for a long time.
- 19:26I did go through anorexia.
- 19:28I have to pride myself, pat myself on the back
- 19:31because I have a very, very, very strong mental.
- 19:36I guess mentality and my willpower is extremely strong.
- 19:41So I was able to talk myself out of it
- 19:46and give myself pep talks every single day.
- 19:49I have to say it's probably my favorite trait about me,
- 19:52my dry determination, meeting the own cheerleader.
- 19:55That's what we all have to be for ourselves.
- 19:57And that comes from self-esteem,
- 19:59having higher self-esteem and loving yourself.
- 20:03And a lot of people don't love themselves in this
- 20:05because they compare themselves to other people.
- 20:08And they think these other people has everything
- 20:11that they want.
- 20:12Comparison is a thief of joy.
- 20:14I learned that a long time ago,
- 20:16probably around the age of 14, 15,
- 20:18when I was diagnosed with these issues.
- 20:21And I realized that I was focused
- 20:23on the positive attributes of myself.
- 20:25Sure, as I get older,
- 20:26I might look in the mirror and I'm like,
- 20:28oh, my God, there's some wrinkles, you know?
- 20:30But at the same time,
- 20:31like I'm still so happy that I feel
- 20:34vivacious and happy in a live.
- 20:36And sure, I've gone through depression in the past.
- 20:41When I lived in Georgia, I now live in Arizona.
- 20:43But when I lived in Georgia,
- 20:44I went through a lot of depression,
- 20:47but it was all environment-related.
- 20:49I was in a city town that just, I didn't fit in with.
- 20:53I felt like I had no purpose.
- 20:55I felt lonely and isolated.
- 20:57And sometimes, that's all it takes
- 20:59to get you out of that depressed mental state.
- 21:02Sometimes, I'm not gonna say all the time
- 21:04because I do know that depression can really be
- 21:08ingrained in your brain
- 21:09and you just feel like there is no way out of it.
- 21:12But to go back on what you're saying
- 21:14in regard to someone or some people
- 21:17adopting carnivore lifestyle to cure their bipolarism
- 21:22or their split personality,
- 21:25your gut is your second brain.
- 21:28So if your gut is unhealthy,
- 21:30you will most likely have some sort of mental instability
- 21:35because your gut is trying to work hard
- 21:38to figure out its problems.
- 21:41I know when I have stomach aches or pains or whatever,
- 21:45I am not mentally all there
- 21:47because I'm so focused on not feeling good
- 21:51and not feeling good doesn't exactly translate
- 21:54to a positive mindset.
- 21:56I've done my best to do so.
- 21:58I live with a glass half full perspective
- 22:00and I always have.
- 22:01So I always smile whenever I don't feel good
- 22:05but I haven't felt bad in a while, which is great.
- 22:08However, that's not an easy thing to do.
- 22:09Like I said, my willpower is my favorite attribute
- 22:13that literally is the thing that shines in my life
- 22:16because I'd always turn to it.
- 22:18It sounds something a lot of people have
- 22:19and it's something that a lot of people need to work on.
- 22:22But there's just so many factors in layers
- 22:25when it comes to that.
- 22:27I imagine it's challenging.
- 22:29When you have the type of health elements
- 22:31you've been upped out with,
- 22:34it forces you to be really sensitive to what you eat, right?
- 22:37I mean, because eating the wrong food thing,
- 22:40as you mentioned, is going to create discomfort.
- 22:43And so that focus could sometimes be seen
- 22:46as obsessive around food,
- 22:48but there's a reason why you're being obsessive.
- 22:50So someone could look at an extreme dialect carnivore
- 22:53and be like, well, that's orthorexia, right?
- 22:55So how do you balance that the past with the present?
- 23:00I'm very confident and I own everything that I do.
- 23:05So if someone was to be like, oh, you're orthorexic,
- 23:08I'll say, if that's what you think, that's great,
- 23:11but I know what works for me.
- 23:12I have my ulcerative colitis, I've got IBS, I've got Crohn's disease,
- 23:16I've got all of the things.
- 23:19Would you like me to go through this for you?
- 23:21But I also, I'm not argumentative about it.
- 23:24I'm not defensive about it.
- 23:25I simply say, I'm the San Queen
- 23:28and I make everything a joke.
- 23:30I make everything light-hearted.
- 23:32I don't get upset if someone points fingers at me.
- 23:36I don't care what other people think.
- 23:38Truly don't.
- 23:39I know what makes me feel good
- 23:42and that helps me just get through life totally fine.
- 23:45Nobody puts their fingers at me and says,
- 23:48oh my gosh, you're orthorexic.
- 23:49If anything, people applaud me and my efforts
- 23:52because they know how hard I work
- 23:55and how much I push myself to be the best I possibly can.
- 24:00If anything, I motivate people.
- 24:02I mean, the DMs that I get are so heartfelt and amazing
- 24:06and they inspired me to keep going
- 24:09because they tell me how motivating I am
- 24:11and how they're adopting new exercises
- 24:13or incorporating more salmon into their diet
- 24:16because I guess maybe they see me
- 24:18and they see that I'm a healthy individual
- 24:21and I'm always so happy and positive and bubbly
- 24:24and it's maybe I'm something that they want to be
- 24:29and they absolutely can do that for themselves.
- 24:32They just have to adopt a positive mindset
- 24:35and eat more salmon because I swear
- 24:37it's what helps with the mood.
- 24:39It isn't seen though because a lot of carnivore people
- 24:41are not eating fish.
- 24:43No, that's what's crazy.
- 24:45I'm in a bunch of carnivore groups on Facebook
- 24:47just because I love to give my input when I can
- 24:51and people are always like,
- 24:52oh my gosh, you're so sick of beef and salt and butter.
- 24:56Like what do I do?
- 24:57And I'm like salmon guys or other seafood
- 25:01and they're all in shock that I even said that.
- 25:05They're like that's not carnivore.
- 25:06I'm like, then what do you think it is?
- 25:08It's literally an animal.
- 25:10Like, but that just goes to show how people
- 25:15will listen to one person who says eat beef and salt
- 25:20and butter and then think that that's the way it is.
- 25:23Then they go do any more research.
- 25:25But it's like, no, once again,
- 25:26you gotta be your own guinea pig
- 25:27and you have to realize that all animals are included
- 25:32in a carnivore lifestyle.
- 25:34Now, if you're doing the lion diet,
- 25:36I think it's just beef and salt and butter
- 25:39maybe it's just beef, I don't know,
- 25:40but I don't do that one.
- 25:42So I don't care about that.
- 25:43I've said.
- 25:44Do you tend to default to nose to tail
- 25:47or are you only eating specific parts of the animals?
- 25:51Oh no, I'm nose to tail.
- 25:52Through it.
- 25:53You are, yeah.
- 25:54I specifically eat salmon skin.
- 25:56Every day I eat about two pounds of salmon skin
- 25:59and the other pound of salmon that I eat
- 26:01is the flesh or the neck or the,
- 26:03I don't really like tails.
- 26:04I'm not gonna lie.
- 26:05I'll eat all of it.
- 26:06And I am the type of person that loves to eat
- 26:09the whole thing because I hate food waste.
- 26:11Hate it.
- 26:13So, yeah, definitely a nose to tail kind of person.
- 26:16What other ancestral practices do you do?
- 26:21I like to get outside.
- 26:22I like to be with nature.
- 26:24I'm moving Arizona, but it has been great
- 26:26because it's just such a different environment
- 26:29that I connect with.
- 26:30It being in Georgia, it was like a jungle
- 26:33and it just didn't, I don't like dewey climates.
- 26:36So, I like dry weather and I grew up in Wyoming
- 26:43so I was in mountains and stuff like that.
- 26:45And I just like to,
- 26:47just like just soak in the environment
- 26:49and get away from the city and the hustle and bustle.
- 26:53There's a time and a place for that.
- 26:55And then there's also a time and a place
- 26:57for just being out in nature
- 26:59and just feeling alive in that way
- 27:03and appreciating the world what it was
- 27:08before the go, go, go, go, go happened.
- 27:11Some people probably look at you and say,
- 27:13oh, you're an extreme eater.
- 27:14How does that translate to being a mom with kids?
- 27:16Like, do you change, you cook more than one thing
- 27:20or you just transferring what you eat to them?
- 27:22How do you navigate the household
- 27:24when you are eating what some people might think of
- 27:27as different or extreme?
- 27:29My kids eat my grove to pizza and chicken nuggets.
- 27:32You're like, Moppy, you're the thing I'm in queen.
- 27:37You're pushing on them the foods
- 27:40that might cause the illness that you know.
- 27:41So here's the thing, when I was a kid,
- 27:43their age four and seven, I ate whatever I wanted.
- 27:47I didn't care.
- 27:48I don't, all of these types of things.
- 27:51And here I am, extremely healthy.
- 27:54I know that by my example,
- 27:56my kids will adopt a healthier lifestyle
- 27:59as they get older,
- 27:59but I'm not going to cut them off from anything
- 28:03because if anything,
- 28:04that's gonna cause some sort of eating issue in the future
- 28:07because my parents would say,
- 28:09you're not allowed to eat XYZ QRS.
- 28:12So I would go to my friends' houses
- 28:14and overeat all that stuff.
- 28:16And that became a very unhealthy relationship.
- 28:19So nothing is off limits.
- 28:21We do have a sugar day on Saturday once a week
- 28:25because the kids need ice cream.
- 28:26I mean, let's be real pizza and chicken nuggets
- 28:29isn't exactly the healthiest thing I'm basically ever.
- 28:33But they do eat some of the wild game meat
- 28:35that is in the freezer.
- 28:37But yeah, no, I don't have anything.
- 28:39No, they don't because my younger child
- 28:42has a lot of weird food allergies as well.
- 28:44And I think salmon is one of them
- 28:46because it makes them throw up.
- 28:47But I'm not gonna lie,
- 28:48this is gonna sound awful.
- 28:50I hate sharing salmon.
- 28:52So like, if they're not gonna want to eat it,
- 28:55I'd rather just feed myself.
- 28:58All right, I have some kind of speed round of questions
- 29:02for you.
- 29:03First thing comes your head.
- 29:04Food people think is healthy, but you avoid.
- 29:07Oh gosh, people think that like,
- 29:08we're anola is healthy and I certainly don't eat that.
- 29:11One ancestral food everyone should eat more of.
- 29:14Oh, I'm gonna say salmon skin.
- 29:17I was like literally waiting for it.
- 29:19Salmon, the weirdest reaction you've gotten online.
- 29:24My eyebrows are weird.
- 29:27What, how are they weird?
- 29:28What do you mean?
- 29:29My eyebrows are untrustworthy.
- 29:31I'm not one who knows anything about makeup.
- 29:34And I just kind of, when I do my makeup,
- 29:37I put, I just like, you know, darken that.
- 29:39And I guess I do it wrong.
- 29:40I don't know.
- 29:41I'm like, I don't set up the beauty influencer.
- 29:44So okay, absurd, absurd.
- 29:47Okay, best way to eat salmon.
- 29:49Pam fry it, make it nice and crispy.
- 29:52And you would like it with anything specific butter
- 29:54or any specific fat or anything like that?
- 29:58No, because salmon skin is already really fatty.
- 30:00Think like bacon, that's what salmon skin is.
- 30:03So it's already amazingly juicy.
- 30:05And I just like to put some salt on it, that's it.
- 30:07Raw liver, yes or no?
- 30:10No.
- 30:11But you do eat liver, just not raw.
- 30:13I do eat liver, I don't eat raw, I'm sorry.
- 30:17I always ask this to everyone.
- 30:19If you could bring back one ancestral practice,
- 30:23what would that be?
- 30:26That's tricky.
- 30:27Cooking over fire outside.
- 30:29Do you ever do that?
- 30:30When we're camping, yeah, I think that's fun.
- 30:32And it just gives food a different taste
- 30:35that you can't replicate when you're at home.
- 30:38Well, it's been super fun and informative.
- 30:40I really appreciate your transparency.

- 30:55She's, as you heard her today, she's very transparent
- 30:58and open, she welcomes questions, feedback.
- 31:02And I think you have one of the healthiest kind of mindsets
- 31:05and just grounded personas that I have really met
- 31:10in the influencer space.
- 31:11Thank you.
- 31:12And I appreciate you wanting me to be on your podcast.
