- 0:02Speaker 1: The U.S.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Military launching new strikes on Iran as President Trump says
- 0:05Speaker 2: the Islamic regime is playing out the inevitable.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Maddie Rivera joins us live from Washington with the details. Hey, Maddie.
- 0:11Speaker 4: Good morning, Todd and Ashley. CENTCOM says U.S. forces hit
- 0:14Speaker 4: IRGC targets, including air defense and communication sites, radar systems
- 0:20Speaker 4: and mine laying capabilities.
- 0:22Speaker 5: The U.S.
- 0:22Speaker 4: Military says the strikes come after the IRGC's attacks on
- 0:26Speaker 4: ships in the Strait of Hormuz and American forces in
- 0:29Speaker 4: the region. The president says Iran had tried but failed.
- 0:32Speaker 4: to add sea mines in the Strait. He also says
- 0:35Speaker 4: Iran had shot eight missiles at the US military base
- 0:38Speaker 4: in Jordan, all of which were intercepted. The fresh barrage
- 0:42Speaker 4: of strikes come after roughly a month of no military action.
- 0:46Speaker 4: The president has increasingly leaned on sanctions as he tries
- 0:50Speaker 4: to inflict more economic pain against the regime. The president
- 0:53Speaker 4: posting on Truth Social, I'm not trying to force Iran
- 0:56Speaker 4: to the bargaining table. I like our position now much
- 1:00Speaker 4: better with almost total control of the Hormuz Strait and
- 1:03Speaker 4: their economy totally collapsing. They are just playing out the inevitable.
- 1:07Speaker 4: When are the Iranian people going to rise up and fight?
- 1:11Speaker 4: But Secretary of State Marco Rubio tells Brian Kilmeade the U.S.
- 1:14Speaker 4: has always held the option to use kinetic action if necessary.
- 1:19Speaker 1: That ship in many ways has failed, no pun intended,
- 1:21Speaker 1: with regard to the Straits, because if you think about
- 1:24Speaker 1: it as a moment, I mean, at the core issue
- 1:25Speaker 1: here is they're never going to have a nuclear weapon.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I have to remind people that continuously. This is all
- 1:29Speaker 1: about the fact that they want to possess a nuclear
- 1:31Speaker 1: weapon and threaten the world with it, and we'll never
- 1:33Speaker 1: allow that to happen. We reserve the right, as we said,
- 1:36Speaker 1: to take military action when necessary, not just to protect ourselves,
- 1:39Speaker 1: but to prevent them from being able to threaten others
- 1:42Speaker 1: as well.
- 1:43Speaker 4: The rest of UBO's interview will air on The Brian
- 1:46Speaker 4: Kilmeade Show later on today. Ashley and Todd.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Okay, Maddie, thank you. We're going to bring in Tennessee
- 1:51Speaker 2: Congressman Tim Burchett for his reaction on these latest strikes.
- 1:58Speaker 5: Thank you all for having me. Of course.
- 2:00Speaker 2: So what do you have to say about this latest
- 2:02Speaker 2: round of strikes? These are the second in less than
- 2:05Speaker 2: a week from what we had. We hadn't seen him in, what,
- 2:07Speaker 2: more than a month before this?
- 2:10Speaker 6: No, I think the president is well advised on this.
- 2:14Speaker 6: We were told that they didn't have missile capabilities of
- 2:18Speaker 6: getting anywhere off the pad hardly, but now we find
- 2:21Speaker 6: out that they could get them into Europe. And we
- 2:24Speaker 6: were told that they didn't have nuclear capabilities. Of course,
- 2:27Speaker 6: that has been a lie, too. The president is completely
- 2:31Speaker 6: correct in taking this action, and I support him in this,
- 2:34Speaker 6: because there is no way in hell that we should
- 2:36Speaker 6: allow Iran to have any nuclear capabilities whatsoever. And the
- 2:41Speaker 6: only way we're going to stop them is either militarily
- 2:45Speaker 6: or economically, and the president is using both of those,
- 2:47Speaker 6: I think, very effectively. I think also we should realize
- 2:50Speaker 6: that we get zero of our oil from Iran, but
- 2:56Speaker 6: a lot of our enemies do. So this is providing
- 2:58Speaker 6: a lot of economic pressure all over the world right now.
- 3:03Speaker 6: And I believe that is exactly what needs to happen.
- 3:05Speaker 3: And that seems like it exactly is the plan when
- 3:08Speaker 3: you hear Scott Besson talk along in conjunction with the president.
- 3:11Speaker 3: I want to switch gears now and get your thoughts
- 3:13Speaker 3: on this. Florida just became the latest state to ban
- 3:16Speaker 3: these flock cameras. Everybody's talking about these things and other
- 3:20Speaker 3: license plate readers from state highways. You, sir, have filed
- 3:24Speaker 3: your own bill to ban federal funds for flock cameras.
- 3:28Speaker 3: And these things are so hated, everybody, that there's bipartisan
- 3:33Speaker 3: backlash against them, including from one AOC.
- 3:37Speaker 5: Watch.
- 3:39Speaker 7: These things are terrible. They shouldn't. I don't even know
- 3:42Speaker 7: how they're legal half the time. The ways that they're
- 3:45Speaker 7: going up, the ways that they are doing these conferences
- 3:49Speaker 7: with these sweetheart contracts with local police departments. You know,
- 3:54Speaker 7: I think that in a way that's not vetted or transparent,
- 3:57Speaker 7: I think people don't want a surveillance state.
- 3:59Speaker 3: OK, so they're universally hated. But, Congressman, what's your response
- 4:02Speaker 3: to those who say if you're doing nothing wrong, you
- 4:05Speaker 3: don't have anything to worry about?
- 4:08Speaker 5: Well, then tell them to put a camera in their
- 4:10Speaker 5: dadgum bedroom then.
- 4:11Speaker 6: Look, this is America. Get a dadgum warrant. That is
- 4:16Speaker 6: what the Constitution provides for. Do not trust our government.
- 4:19Speaker 6: I don't care who's in the White House. Look what
- 4:21Speaker 6: happened under FISA. Hundreds of thousands of violations. of people's rights.
- 4:26Speaker 6: They were, oh, we're going to just spy on folks
- 4:29Speaker 6: from other countries. Well, those people from other countries are
- 4:32Speaker 6: working on your roof, talking to you on your cell phone.
- 4:35Speaker 5: They want to get to you. They go through there
- 4:38Speaker 5: and get a warrant for them.
- 4:40Speaker 6: And they would, 99.9% of the time, they were allowed
- 4:44Speaker 6: to get a warrant.
- 4:44Speaker 5: And then what do they do?
- 4:45Speaker 6: They backdoor into your phone and get into your life.
- 4:49Speaker 6: And that is exactly what you're seeing done. Look, all
- 4:52Speaker 6: we need is some guardrails. I met with my sheriffs
- 4:54Speaker 6: and my ATTORNEY GENERALS, MY U.S. MARSHAL, AND THEY ALL
- 4:58Speaker 6: SAID THE SAME THING. LOOK, WE WANT TO GO AFTER CRIMINALS.
- 5:01Speaker 6: WE DON'T SUPPORT ANYBODY CHOPPING THESE DADGUM THINGS DOWN. BUT
- 5:05Speaker 6: SURELY WE CAN PUT UP SOME GUARDRAILS.
- 5:07Speaker 5: TO DO THAT.
- 5:07Speaker 6: AND MY BILL, AND I FILED IT WEEKS AGO, I
- 5:11Speaker 6: GUESS I WAS ON THE CUTTING EDGE OF THIS THING,
- 5:13Speaker 6: SO I GUESS I COULD TELL THE GOVERNOR OF FLORIDA
- 5:16Speaker 6: WELCOME TO THE PARTY. BUT THE REALITY IS ALL MY
- 5:20Speaker 6: BILL DOES IS CUT FEDERAL FUNDING OFF. AND YOU'RE SEEING
- 5:22Speaker 6: WHAT'S HAPPENING ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. People are meeting and
- 5:25Speaker 6: talking about it, addressing their local officials, their city councils,
- 5:29Speaker 6: their county commissions, their mayors and aldermen.
- 5:32Speaker 5: That's what's supposed to happen in government.
- 5:34Speaker 6: Show me one program that the federal government has run
- 5:38Speaker 6: and made it better.
- 5:39Speaker 5: Let's see. Health care? No way. Education? Uh-uh.
- 5:43Speaker 6: Look what we've done to college sports, for goodness sakes. So, yeah,
- 5:48Speaker 6: it needs to be at the local level. It needs
- 5:50Speaker 6: to be voted on there and handled there. And the
- 5:52Speaker 6: way they're doing these contracts, I was a county mayor
- 5:55Speaker 6: for years, and our own mayor, Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs,
- 5:59Speaker 6: did away with those just yesterday, his last act as mayor. was,
- 6:05Speaker 6: say you have a $ 45, 000 limit on your, anything.
- 6:08Speaker 5: Above that you have to put out for bid. Well,
- 6:10Speaker 5: guess what? These things are being put up at $ 44, 000.
- 6:13Speaker 6: And they get under the bid.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Such an important point.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Yeah, with all that being said, Flock did release the
- 6:21Speaker 2: following statement on the Florida ban, quote, rather than banning
- 6:23Speaker 2: a critical public safety tool, we support thoughtful legislation and
- 6:27Speaker 2: strong privacy, transparency, and accountability guardrails that ensure technology is
- 6:31Speaker 2: used responsibly while protecting preserving law enforcement's ability to use
- 6:34Speaker 2: effective tools to keep people safe. But as we've said,
- 6:37Speaker 2: a lot of people, both sides of the aisle, think
- 6:39Speaker 2: this is a privacy issue.
- 6:40Speaker 5: You can't get.
- 6:42Speaker 6: They got their hand caught in the cookie jar and
- 6:44Speaker 6: they got slapped. They said, we're going to fix this
- 6:47Speaker 6: by December. Well, dadgummit, fix it now or don't have
- 6:50Speaker 6: it at all. The Constitution is written in stone. It
- 6:52Speaker 6: is not flexible. And according to their president of flock.
- 6:55Speaker 5: It is flexible.
- 6:56Speaker 6: They need to come to Tennessee and I could hook
- 6:58Speaker 6: them up with some good PR people. That guy, he's...
- 7:02Speaker 6: He's a clown show, man.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Obviously, you know, I'm not going to get into the
- 7:07Speaker 3: specifics of the guy who's in charge of Flock, but
- 7:09Speaker 3: they've given their statement. You make a point, and let's
- 7:11Speaker 3: face it, this has got bipartisan support on this. You
- 7:14Speaker 3: can't get two people on different sides of the aisle
- 7:16Speaker 3: to agree today is Wednesday, and you've got them hating
- 7:18Speaker 3: these things, so we will see. Congressman Tim Burchett, got
- 7:21Speaker 3: to leave it there.
- 7:21Speaker 5: Thank you, sir.
