- 0:13Hello, this is Todd Royal, host of geopower energy in real politics.
- 0:19And today we are going to get into all of this.
- 0:22We hear so much right now about Trump with Venezuela.
- 0:26The United States is great power that's trampling over people.
- 0:31Oh my gosh, the United States led by Donald Trump is going to take over Greenland.
- 0:36Let's put some of this into perspective.
- 0:39First off, do you realize what the Russians and the Chinese want to do?
- 0:44They want to take over the world.
- 0:46We went over last week that Venezuela is about the United States being in charge of the Western hemisphere, about the Monroe Doctrine.
- 0:56It was also solidified by Teddy Roosevelt over a hundred years ago, and again now by Donald Trump.
- 1:02So you have something that's gone close to 200 years of the United States saying the Western hemisphere is under our sphere of influence.
- 1:10Not the Chinese, not the Russians, not the Iranians, not the Iranian offshoots of Hezbollah, Hamas, not drug cartels that I think will eventually be dealt with in Mexico, Colombia.
- 1:25You're not going to send your drugs to the United States anymore.
- 1:29You're not going to kill Americans.
- 1:31You're not going to take oil and natural gas that should be under the purview of America and American companies.
- 1:37It's not going to happen anymore.
- 1:39Please do not benignly think that the Russians and the Chinese want to be your allies, your friends.
- 1:48This is not Europeans.
- 1:50These are not Japanese, South Koreans, none of it.
- 1:53These aren't Canadians.
- 1:55This isn't the even the failing state of Mexico, which somewhat benignly will get along with the United States.
- 2:04No.
- 2:05These are great powers who want to destroy and kill every single person in the United States.
- 2:12If the Chinese communist party could come here right now and obliterate every single illegal alien and American, they would.
- 2:20Make no mistake about that.
- 2:22Make no mistake that if Russia could take over every part of Ukraine, if they could take over all of Europe, if they could take over that entire part of the world down to Turkey, they would.
- 2:36And they would use their nuclear weapons to do it if they thought they could.
- 2:41Let me set this up for you a little bit.
- 2:44When you think about well, how does this line of thinking come from?
- 2:48Well, it really comes from what's called like a zero sum game, game theory, where it really started, it was a philosopher named Thomas Hobbes who described the state of nature as a war of all against all with limited resources.
- 3:03Modern authors, uh, you've got Lester Thoreau and the Zero Sum Society, Heather McGee.
- 3:09She really kind of debunks the zero sum hypothesis.
- 3:13But what she did is he conceptualized the world as inherently competitive, zero sum, where one person's gain must be another's loss, focusing on finite resources and power struggles.
- 3:25Uh, this came from Thomas Hobbes and the Leviathan.
- 3:28Uh, that he are he argues that life is a constant struggle for survival, for power.
- 3:34It is a quintessential zero sum situation where security and resources are limited, and it leads to perpetual conflict.
- 3:41You could also go to the Bible in the book of Ecclesiastes says there's a time for everything.
- 3:46There's a time for war and a time for peace.
- 3:48The issue is this kind of marxism that we are under now with the likes of uh the mayor, you know, Mam Dami, uh, the incompetent boob who's the mayor of Seattle, uh, the fool who got herself killed in Minnesota.
- 4:05You have this line of thinking which creates this activist, but it's really laziness mentality.
- 4:12These are people with no aspirations.
- 4:15These are people who only want to cause trouble for the sake of trouble, and they have zero idea.
- 4:21It's like the it's like the Jewish fools in the 30s who thought the Nazis would not cut off their heads.
- 4:28Those are fools.
- 4:30The Nazis looked at the world in a zero sum territory.
- 4:36The Japanese looked at the world as a zero sum territory.
- 4:40They enslaved, raped, pillaged, tortured, and burned down large chunks of China and most of most of Asia at that time, or what they termed the Japanese uh, you know, co-prosperity's uh economic sphere of influence.
- 4:56Yeah, co-prosperity.
- 4:58That's a there's a there's a funny term.
- 5:00But that's really what you're looking at.
- 5:03That's when you think about all this and why is Donald Trump doing this.
- 5:06Machiavelli's the prince.
- 5:09Um really completely and explicitly look at life as zero sum, but he focused on acquiring and maintaining power.
- 5:18Often it was it was competitive, comparative, it was a zero-sum view of statecraft.
- 5:25Where a ruler, their gain and influence comes at the expense of their rivals.
- 5:33When you think about this, this zero-sum way of looking at the world.
- 5:38When you think about um why are these people doing this?
- 5:45Why does the Chinese communist party do what they do?
- 5:48Uh why does Vladimir Putin invade Ukraine?
- 5:52Many people smarter than me will tell you they're doing it because uh the United States has not held up agreements, neither is NATO.
- 6:00We we moved eastward, we did all of these things.
- 6:04I would actually tell you that's not the root of the cause.
- 6:08If you look at the world today, our world is still dealing with World War II.
- 6:16You cannot kill a hundred million people, mainly civilians, and think it's not gonna leave a traumatic effect on society.
- 6:24I would argue the problems of the United States stem from World War II.
- 6:28You go, well, why have we let in millions of immigrants who hate America?
- 6:34Why have we, why do our universities hate America?
- 6:38Why can't we have children anymore?
- 6:41Why don't people get married?
- 6:43Why aren't things affordable anymore?
- 6:45Well, there's a reason why.
- 6:47In World War II, you brought back three sets of of emotionally damaged, traumatic, dramatically um involved and lived in people groups.
- 7:01The Russians lost about 25 million people to the Nazis burning and pillaging their cities.
- 7:08Three out of four Nazis that were killed, the troops were at the hands of the Russians.
- 7:14The Chinese were taken over.
- 7:16Um at what the Japanese did.
- 7:20They truly set up, they made comfort women, they made brothels, they enslaved them, they slaughtered them.
- 7:29The Japanese, and many can be argued, slaughtered more innocents than the Nazis did.
- 7:35Okay, you go, you fight these wars, and you have to slaughter.
- 7:39It's really the first time you saw total war.
- 7:41Really kind of you could make the argument there had been other wars, the Persians and the Romans had fought that way, but that was also with swords.
- 7:50That was in a much more uh swords and spears on horseback.
- 7:54Those are limited wars.
- 7:56This is the first time you could take a modern society fueled by oil and gas, diesel and propane, and slaughter each other.
- 8:06Slaughter one another.
- 8:08Go read Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five to feel the effect of what that has on a human being.
- 8:14Um talk to people who've killed human beings before, whether in self-defense or in wartime.
- 8:21It it's not how you're supposed to live as a human being.
- 8:26But war is a natural state.
- 8:31This is a zero-sum game.
- 8:33Um the founders of America said uh if men were angels, laws would not be needed.
- 8:40When you think about World War II and the effects it had, then you bring back about 20 million American men who've been traumatized.
- 8:48I had family members that were traumatized.
- 8:51They've either died, known someone that's died, or they're dead on the inside.
- 8:55They're probably addicted to lucky strike cigarettes.
- 8:58These people come and have tens of millions of babies, the baby boom.
- 9:04They don't parent their children.
- 9:06They, and now you have the radicals in charge.
- 9:09You have un you have a two to three generations of unparented children.
- 9:14People medicate themselves with alcohol, with drugs, with pornography, with gambling, with food.
- 9:22Walk into an American airport and look at how overweight people and how unhealthy people are.
- 9:27We have surging rates of cancer, of heart disease.
- 9:31We're not having children, people are not getting married.
- 9:34That is the zero sum game of World War II that is still playing out.
- 9:38If you don't believe me, go read Russian and Chinese propaganda.
- 9:43Go look at the South China Morning Post, go look at Russia today.
- 9:47Go read.
- 9:48They they will talk about World War II all the time.
- 9:52They will have um ceremonies.
- 9:54The Chinese president was with the Russian president when they were commemorating a World War II.
- 10:00Um victory last year.
- 10:02You will see they will talk about Mother Russia.
- 10:05You will, you'll have two slaughterers of their own people that are still lionized, Mao and Stalin, because they were traumatized, because they were in a great power sum game.
- 10:16The United States has never been in that game, except now it's approaching this.
- 10:22Because now the United States is the great edge the United States has always had has been two things.
- 10:28A society based on uh religious freedom, which brings order and stability and the growth of families and morality.
- 10:35And second, we have always had an incredible economy.
- 10:39We are blessed with massive resources, whether timber, whether oceans, whether a river that runs down the truly the middle of the country.
- 10:49We have more oil and natural gas than we know what to do with coal.
- 10:54We have plenty of rare earth metals and minerals, and it's only not these things are not taken out of the ground because environmentalists were so rich and happy and fat that we we literally can stop our own economic growth, and still we're growing at 4.9%.
- 11:10I would argue that's the blessing of God in some way, but it's also just the material blessings of living in this country.
- 11:17Um now let's talk about what's going on.
- 11:22There's the setup for you.
- 11:24And feel free to write in, call, challenge this, but I would say everything that we're we're dealing with today is still the remnants of World War II.
- 11:38The Russians, the Chinese, most of Asia.
- 11:42These are people really, my God, Europe.
- 11:45You go, why is Europe so traumatized and want to go to war with the Russians?
- 11:51Because they're still traumatized from World War II when the Russians under Stalin lied, duped the Allies, in particular duped FDR and kept moving from the East to the West, and everything they took from the Nazis when they said, oh, we'll give all these country countries back.
- 12:07They kept Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, and on and on Ukraine.
- 12:16These are people who lived under communist Russian domination, East Germany.
- 12:22So while I may disagree with what they're doing in Ukraine right now, you can also empathize when the president of Estonia, who's she couldn't do anything to the fingernail of a Russian troop right now, is still talking about we will defend ourselves, we will come after you.
- 12:47Finland is a fortress.
- 12:49They make the Swiss of World War II look like children because they were invaded by the Russians.
- 12:58They fought a war with Russia, kind of to a standstill, but they kind of had to end up giving into it.
- 13:04That is why these people joined NATO because they go, We're so scared of the Russians, and the Russians are still so scared of the Germans.
- 13:11All of these people need to go through trauma therapy is what they actually do, collective trauma therapy, but what it creates is great power, great power games, zero sum.
- 13:23Um this battle for resources, this battle for land for influence, for you're never going to invade me again and kill me and rape me and torture me and set my homes on fire and behead me and crucify me, which was done during World War II.
- 13:40You're not going to enslave my mother, my wife, my grandmother, my daughter to serve Japanese troops.
- 13:45That's never going to happen again.
- 13:50Which takes us to the United States.
- 13:54When you think about the United States right now, um, and you think about all of this happening.
- 14:01Ernest Hemingway had a famous response when his finances had fell into bankruptcy.
- 14:07And he said, How did this happen?
- 14:09So he goes, gradually, then suddenly.
- 14:12What I would tell you is that events, energy trends, but really geo power backed by energy.
- 14:21That's why we invaded we've we've now taken over Venezuela.
- 14:25And let me tell you why I think we'll eventually what we're going to really do in Greenland.
- 14:32So when you think about Greenland, uh Andrew Koroboko, who I highly recommend, uh has written an article about Greenland.
- 14:42He says, is Greenland the crown jewel of Fortress America?
- 14:46Uh he talks about why is it important?
- 14:48He says, well, it holds valuable resources, uranium, oil, gas.
- 14:54Um, it also in the rare and the mineral resources are really what we would term rare earth metals and minerals.
- 14:59It's got zinc, it's got rare earths, nickels, graphite, copper.
- 15:03But more importantly, when you look at a map, Greenland is next to Canada, it's next to Iceland, it's right near Norway, and it certainly can look at uh Poland.
- 15:17The United States has the Potuffic space base, it's also got other other bases there.
- 15:23We want to have a missile defense plan where we would have a strategic edge over Russia.
- 15:28We would get critical minerals, which would reduce our dependence on uh the Chinese supply chains.
- 15:35And yes, Donald Trump has said he wants Greenland.
- 15:41Why does he want Greenland?
- 15:43Well, it has, according to the Daily Mail, um and others.
- 15:50Greenland's got the second largest reserve of critical minerals.
- 15:53That is great power.
- 15:54That is the zero-sum game of resources.
- 15:58Uh, when you think about a Thomas Hobbes all the way back, one of the great books and philosophers, the Leviathan.
- 16:05Have a read of Leviathan.
- 16:06Look at uh Augustine's city of God, where he talks about order.
- 16:10And frankly, he almost uh talks about men need authoritarian governments.
- 16:15I don't think they need authoritarianism, but what they need is they need resources, minerals.
- 16:20Um this gives this gives the United States then complete Western hemisphere dominance.
- 16:29Some would say they become they want to make a unipolar world in the Western hemisphere.
- 16:35I would agree with that.
- 16:36Some would say it means that they have hedge hegemonic dominance over their allies.
- 16:40I would also agree with that.
- 16:42Um when you think about this too, that the United States wants to do the golden dome missile defense for um for Greenland, but what it really does is, and I I want to read this statement from uh from Mr.
- 16:59Korbaco, where he says annexing Greenland would help build Fortress America, which is the Trump doctrines plan as enshrined in the national security strategy for restoring U.S.
- 17:11hegemony over the hemisphere.
- 17:14Uh, this also would certainly help the president.
- 17:17He wants to have a 1.5 trillion dollar defense budget so he can more muscularly contain the Chinese in Asia.
- 17:24Um that's a 50%, he wants a 50% increase in the defense budget.
- 17:29Uh you can also see that if it ever came that they have to be expelled from the Western Hemisphere, that you have Greenland, you have Fortress America, you have Venezuela.
- 17:40You've now taken the Trump doctrine, or really the national security doctrine, which we'll get into, and you're you're then saying we have the resources, we have the oil, we have the natural gas.
- 17:52I would actually argue, though, what you're really doing is having soft power.
- 17:57Um, nowhere has President Trump said what McCron has said, Merz has said, uh Starmer has said, or others in the EU about troops in Ukraine, uh building up their militaries.
- 18:13We we we may be invading Russia.
- 18:17Never talked about I'm gonna go invade China, never said I'm gonna go invade Russia.
- 18:22What you see now with this new Trump doctrine, who knows if it's gonna if it's gonna stick, if let's say Gavin Newsom were president, and we that is with the United States, every four years, we're gonna change leaders.
- 18:37Who knows if this would stick?
- 18:39Um, my guess would be if Gavin Newsom stayed president, a lot of this would probably stay.
- 18:46Um he's likely not to bring in people who really understand this, and he's probably likely going to focus on domestic issues that bolster the left part of the Democratic Party, kind of the radical environmentalists, the social issues, you know, more homosexuality, more destroying of the family, more transgenderism, more abortion, more anti-growth policies that go to that billionaire wing of the Democratic Party.
- 19:15So, my my I don't think a guy like Gavin Newsom would ever really get into foreign policy and everything he did would be for ceremony and show, not a deep thinker at all.
- 19:28So whether you think Donald Trump is a deep thinker or not, these are deep deep policies that have been put forward for this fortress America, Trump doctrine, Monroe Doctrine, uh kicking out uh of the Western hemisphere, uh, your top geopolitical rivals, China won, uh, Russia two.
- 19:49Um, it's also looking at the BRICS nations.
- 19:52It's saying to Brazil, we're going to Venezuela because we're tired of you being the leader of BRICS.
- 19:59What it really
- 20:00Means is we're tired of you trying to get rid of the petrodollar, the system that was put in place after World War II, that all energy sales typically have been put in the dollar, though in the last couple of years.
- 20:11The BRICS are trying to do things in Russian currency, Chinese currency, Brazilian currency, even South African currency that your settlement of trades, well, that doesn't work for the United States.
- 20:24And that certainly doesn't work for the business interest and the banking interest of the United States.
- 20:31When you think about Greenland, Greenland and Venezuela are both together.
- 20:37Um whether the United States annexes Greenland, invades Greenland, or frankly just starts to build bases and golden domes and really pushes Denmark aside.
- 20:49What it's saying is these these days of this kind of ossified weak Democratic Party or these Rhino Republicans, which just want to go fight a war for the sake of fighting war, is going, no, we're going to build real influence.
- 21:08You really could make the argument.
- 21:11This is the days of going back to the Truman and Kennedy Democrats, particularly the Truman Democrats, the ones who understood the way the world works.
- 21:20It's why Truman stopped where he stopped during World War II.
- 21:23He had already achieved uh deterrence after Matthew Ridgway had killed two million Chinese within a matter of a few months, three, four months, uh, which the Chinese still remember, by the way.
- 21:37So when you think about all of this, what all these messages are, I would argue is you are going back and trying to settle the accounts of World War II.
- 21:48Crazy to think about, scary to think about, but that's exactly what you're trying to do.
- 21:54Um when you think about what's going on with Greenland.
- 21:59Yes, it is Fortress America, but it is also saying we are no longer going to listen to environmentalists who believe in the ridiculous notion of climate change and global warming.
- 22:12And the way to control whether the world is uncontrollably warming is to have no more fossil fuels, rely on solar panels, wind turbines, electric vehicles, and battery storage systems.
- 22:23And we're going to completely destroy the grid, destroy growth.
- 22:27And we actually believe that people, there's there's too many people.
- 22:31So we're going to push, we're going to push abortion, destroy the family, not want to have children, tell women to be feminist and don't get married, and you don't need a man, and we actually think you should probably be a lesbian, because then you for sure don't need men and there won't be children, and on and on and on and on.
- 22:50That it's it's a nonsensical thing that if I believe in climate change, I can take you down that rabbit hole I just took you down.
- 22:57Go look at the people who vote for this stuff.
- 23:00Go look at the people who believe in this stuff.
- 23:02Gosh, I would tell whether they're a lesbian or a born-again Christian somewhere.
- 23:07If you think you can control the climate, whether via cloud seeding or using a solar panel on your house, that is a nonsensical, it doesn't even make sense.
- 23:20The level of complexity of the climate and the atmosphere.
- 23:25I've written about it.
- 23:26Many others have written about it.
- 23:28The new really the energy and climate doctor that have come out of the climate working group of DOE, people like Judith Curry, Steven Coonan, Ross McKittrick, um, many, many others would people are going, this is ridiculous.
- 23:46The craziest part of the climate issue, it doesn't even pull that well.
- 23:49It only pulls in ridiculous places like San Francisco, Seattle, and the fools who just voted for Mamdami.
- 23:57That's where this crap works.
- 24:00But what it does is it weakens the United States.
- 24:04And I would tell any of those people, go look at who ISIS gets rid of first.
- 24:10Go look at who radical Muslims kill first.
- 24:13Um, the Christian and the gay will be the ones getting their heads chopped off first.
- 24:19Make no mistake about any of this.
- 24:22This is great power politics.
- 24:24This is geopower.
- 24:26This is the evil, disgusting, selfish part of mankind that if you don't understand, you will end up alone or shot by an ice agent in Minnesota.
- 24:39And that is so tragic.
- 24:41What happened to that woman?
- 24:43So tragic.
- 24:46That you're gonna go for an organization called Ice Watch, which is likely controlled by the scum George Soros, who can't die soon enough, or the scum Neville Singman who's sitting in Beijing, directed by the Chinese Communist Party, or the Tides Foundation, or the Source Foundation, or the Ford Foundation, any of these, these are the Rockefeller Foundation people.
- 25:12If they died today, the world is a better place.
- 25:16They literally have billions at their disposal because their grandfathers uh made all their money off oil and frankly exploited the hell out of people.
- 25:27And now they say they're gonna believe in global warming, or see even someone like Alice Walton of the Walton Family Fortune who gives money to the No Kings protest.
- 25:37These are people who are so protected by their money and their security, can believe nonsense like climate change and no kings without understanding any of what I'm just talking about.
- 25:50You want to know why we're having to do what we're doing, it's fools like that.
- 25:53And it still comes back to World War II.
- 25:56You want to solve America's problems, solve the problems that still around from World War II, the trauma, and then go solve the problems of saying we're not gonna have a legal aliens on the census anymore, which will do away with today's Democratic Party, which will bring back the party of Truman.
- 26:15You'll get rid of billionaires, you'll get rid of these protesters, you'll get rid of illegal aliens, and you will strengthen even more Fortress America, the Trump doctrine and the national security strategy.
- 26:27Those things will all be strengthened, but make no mistake.
- 26:32That is exactly where we are headed.
- 26:35When you think about Venezuela, um Talek Dosis has an amazing article called Trump's Venezuelan Gambit and the Reordering of Global Oil Geopolitics.
- 26:48He has uh it is now been quoted by numerous people, Robert Bryce, I think it's also Domberg, who's been on the show.
- 26:55But I want to read you what because he captures better than anybody exactly what we're talking about.
- 27:03He calls it Trump's Monroe Doctrine for Oil.
- 27:06Trump's new national security strategy explicitly revives the Monroe Doctrine as an energy dominant strategy, pledging to reassert and enforce U.S.
- 27:17pre-eminence in the Western Hemisphere and to deny extra regional powers the ability to own or control strategically vital assets in the Americas.
- 27:26The seizure of Madero, legally framed through earlier U.S.
- 27:31narco-terrorism indictments, and the State Department's designation of the Cartel de Soloas Network is a terrorist organization, provided the trigger to apply this doctrine in its most muscular form.
- 27:46When you think about who's going to control Venezuela's 300 billion barrels of proven reserves, largest in the world, valued valued at 17 trillion at current crude oil prices, which is comical to me that Darren Wood of Exxon Mobile says he's not going to go in there.
- 28:03You want to make a bet.
- 28:05Uh, okay, uh okay, Mr.
- 28:07Wood, you'll you'll be there.
- 28:09You you're just trying to be a good negotiator.
- 28:12You think, okay, what's about to happen here?
- 28:15Okay, if you have those 300 billion barrels.
- 28:17Well, first, uh, Mr.
- 28:19Doshi says it widens the slate of secure politically aligned supplies available to Atlantic Basin refiners, diluting OPEC's leverage over marginal barrels and price spikes.
- 28:30Second, creates a de facto pricing axis running from the Permian Basin through Alberto and the Orinco belt.
- 28:38That's Venezuela, with the United States at the regulatory and logistical center, able to influence quality specific benchmarks for heavy sour crudes that were once the preserve of OPEC exporters.
- 28:51Don't be surprised if in the next one to two years, OPEC dissolves.
- 28:55Third, by aligning Venezuela output with UX export infrastructure and Gulf Cults refiners, it undercuts the room for Moscow, Riada, and eventually, I would even say Beijing to use coordinated cuts under the OPEC plus umbrella to discipline markets without confront without confronting a discipline counterblock of flexible non-OPEC supply.
- 29:19Okay, got to take a break here, but we're gonna come back.
- 29:23And we're gonna, I've got just a little bit to land this plane here, make some final comments.
- 29:28We're looking at some big issues today.
- 29:31My name is Todd Royal.

- 37:18And we're back.
- 37:20My name is Todd Royal.
- 37:21I'm the host of our program, GeoPower Energy, Real Politics, Real Politics.
- 37:27Let's get back to Mr.
- 37:30Dashi's what he talks about here.
- 37:34Because it's so good.
- 37:36And you go, okay, let's let's buy let's what does this do for um the Chinese, our number one competitor.
- 37:44I would tell you the world right now, you're either going to follow Western values, which means freedom, freedom of religion, sexuality, increasingly your gender, uh, where do you want to live, who do you want to marry or not marry, what work do you want to do or not do?
- 38:02Versus the Chinese Communist Party.
- 38:05Okay, here's what happened in Venezuela.
- 38:08Chinese policy banks extended tens of billions of dollars to Venezuela in oil-backed loans, and Chinese companies entered joint ventures precisely to secure this long-term access to heavy crude outside U.S.
- 38:21influence.
- 38:23Oil runs the world.
- 38:24The Chinese said we're going to be in the Western Hemisphere and take your crude.
- 38:30With the United States now setting the legal and security framework in Caracas, those secure flows are subject to the constraints of a doctrine.
- 38:39Let's call it the Donald Trump doctrine that explicitly seeks to deny non-hemispheric competitors control over strategic assets.
- 38:49Whether it's Greenland or Venezuela, forcing China into a defensive posture where it must renegotiate, accept less favorable terms, or watch sunk capital stranded.
- 39:01What about Moscow?
- 39:03What about Russia?
- 39:04They have a similar issue.
- 39:05Rossnef, which is one of the leading energy firms in um in Russia, gave financial lifelines to Madura.
- 39:14It took a collateral stake in Sitco, their national uh essentially their gas station, uh designed to lock in leverage precisely where U.S.
- 39:23refineries and markets were most exposed.
- 39:27That's what kills me when people on the right talk about the benign friendship that we're going to have with Russia.
- 39:34No, we're not.
- 39:36Don't be a fool.
- 39:38I don't think you should do what you're doing in Ukraine, but make no mistake.
- 39:42Um, if the Russians could see the United States fill, they would do it in a heartbeat.
- 39:46And they use energy.
- 39:48It's the term is called the weaponization of energy.
- 39:51I've written about it extensively, and that's what the Russians want to do.
- 39:55They can't deploy troops or a navy this far away, but they can do is they can use the
- 40:00Soft power leading to hard power of oil.
- 40:02And that's exactly what they were doing in Venezuela.
- 40:06Now, let's get back to Mr.
- 40:07Dashi.
- 40:08The very collateral that secured Russian prepayments became vulnerable to U.S.
- 40:12courts and regulators while future Venezuelan barrels are increasingly likely to flow under contracts that support the petrodollar system rather than Russians ruble or the Chinese one dominated experiments.
- 40:28In one stroke, Washington has turned a potential Eurasian energy outposts in the Americas into a platform for pushing back against the BRICS energy realignment centered on Russian pipelines and Chinese credit.
- 40:47Yeah.
- 40:48And what is he else say?
- 40:49He goes, he calls this the devil's excrement for a positive sum game for the Venezuelans.
- 40:56So what does all this really mean?
- 40:59What?
- 41:00Um I want you to think about this.
- 41:04Yeah, the critics are going to say this is Trump's neo-imperialism.
- 41:09You don't see what was going on there.
- 41:12You don't see the absolutely devastation the Venezuelans had.
- 41:18And it's also millions of them left, and a lot of them have come to the United States, and they have not integrated into the United States also.
- 41:33To me, are not understanding this, that they're not realizing what we're really, what we're really talking about.
- 41:41That we are talking about a world that when you look at Trump's wider security doctrine.
- 41:50This is not isolationism, adventurism, or we took it for the reasons of taking it.
- 41:56What you're talking about, and and Marco Rubio talked about this in the beginnings of the Trump presidency.
- 42:02He said it is a multipolar world.
- 42:05There are people, the Chinese do have their sphere of influence, the Russians do have their sphere of influence, the South Africans, the Brazilian, you all have your spheres of influence, but what we're going to become the United States, we're no longer going to be a global policeman, but we are going to be a hemispheric energy powerhouse.
- 42:20Here's what Mr.
- 42:21Dachi says.
- 42:22By aligning the Western hemispheres of vast fossil fuel resources, Domberg has also written about this, and I would highly recommend that you subscribe to his Substack.
- 42:34US, US shale, places like Texas, Pennsylvania, the Dakotas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Canadian oil sands, Alberta, Brazilian Pre-Salt, Guyana's Newfound Reserves, and now Venezuelan heavy crude that can be refined in American refineries.
- 42:56Under pre uh this is under a framework that privileges reliable low-cost supply over net zero symbolism.
- 43:06Um think about that.
- 43:09No more global warming nonsense, no more decarbonization, no more climate change, whole of government approach.
- 43:17That nonsense is gone.
- 43:20What it is, the United States now reduces its exposure, as Mr.
- 43:24Dashi says here to Eurasian pipeline politics and Middle Eastern stability.
- 43:30What's the upshot?
- 43:31The upshot's a world, the petrol power is he says less about OPEC quotas and common equals and more about which block can combine geological abundance, the United States can, technological prowess, the United States can via Silicon Valley and other areas, political coherence.
- 43:50People aren't riding, we can get food.
- 43:53We may not like each other much in the United States, but it we get along, the Japanese get along with each other, the South Koreans, the Canadians, uh, the Europeans, people are typically getting along with each other.
- 44:05Political coherence, order, stability, this zero-sum world.
- 44:11So on that score, a U.S.
- 44:13anchored Americas enhanced by revitalized Venezuela looks considerably more robust than an ideological net zero constrained Europe, which is dying over the belief of global warming and climate change and shutting down their nuclear power plants and not doing fracking and deindustrializing and thinking they're saving the world, or a Sino-Russian Eurasian Axis, entangled in over-leveraged, underperforming bets in failing in failing petrostates.
- 44:47In other words, we say bye-bye Russia, bye-bye China.
- 44:52Okay, Russia, go supply everybody with oil and natural gas.
- 44:55And the Russians can.
- 44:57And that's your sphere of influence.
- 44:58Now, make no mistakes of the Russians.
- 45:00This is a technologically advanced people.
- 45:03Um, these are folks, I get it, people who've traveled in Russia will go, it's it's many where many places a fourth world country.
- 45:10Moscow's a thriving city.
- 45:12The Russians know how to drill and deliver oil and natural gas.
- 45:15They're they are the best in the world at building, financing, owning, operating, delivering the fuel and taking it away for nuclear power plants.
- 45:25Nobody does it better than the Russians.
- 45:28Um, we, the United States, have a lot of catching up to do to the Russians.
- 45:31Even the Chinese are becoming just about as good at building at the United States as the Russians, even they cannot do what the Russians are doing when it comes to nuclear power.
- 45:47But when you exert this influence now in Venezuela, when you say you're out of here, when you look at Denmark, and we go, we appreciate you're a NATO ally, but NATO is a feather duster.
- 46:01You're nothing.
- 46:02The Ukraine war would end in a second if the United States stopped providing intelligence to them.
- 46:08Go tell the Poles, the British, the French, and the Germans to take it over and watch how quick uh that little conflict will end.
- 46:17Watch how quick the Russians would destroy the Ukrainians and watch how quick the Russians would absolutely destroy NATO troops without full and firm American backing.
- 46:29The British are nothing.
- 46:31The French would likely lay down.
- 46:34Uh, probably someone like Estonia would be the best fighters out there.
- 46:38The Germans would have some some of their capable troops, their their mountain, their special forces mountain division, but it's not even a division.
- 46:47That the Germans have no industry, they have nothing.
- 46:51How the Germans think they would ever fight the Ukrainians.
- 46:55This is a zero sum.
- 46:58And the Leviathan of environmentalism, net zero ideology, um throwing off the constraints of biblical or even uh Western-based morality backed by Plato's The Republic or Heracles, Socrates, um, even Roman philosophy, Greek philosophy, all of it.
- 47:26Um you would be overrun by the Russians.
- 47:30Uh we're even seeing the zero-sum game when the the prime minute, the the current prime minister of Japan said we would come to the aid of Taiwan.
- 47:40We'll not allow that to take place in our backyard.
- 47:43Look at what the Chinese have done lately.
- 47:45It's this remnant of world war, it's this remnant of World War II.
- 47:51It's this saying, we're gonna do Greenland because we're tired of, we have a loud environmentalist and weak Republicans and people that have been traumatized from World War II.
- 48:01And so you bring in this Marxism and this activist mentality that says I'm a gay woman with children and I'm gonna go run over a man with a gun.
- 48:15God, I would say to every one of these people eventually, all these men with guns and increasingly women and law enforcement, they're gonna turn those guns on you and blow your heads off.
- 48:30We live in a world that I would I would I would beg every one of these people that listen to these scum billionaires like Alice Walton and George Soros and Tom Steyr and Michael Bloomberg and Neville Singham, all of them, if they died today, the world would be a better place.
- 48:50And the people who run the Ford Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Tides Foundation, Bloomberg Foundation, Stanford, Harvard, and all of them.
- 49:00If they died today, the world would be a better place.
- 49:03You are living in a zero-sum world.
- 49:07And do you you can either be governed by Donald Trump or you can be governed by the Chinese Communist Party?
- 49:14And I can assure you, um, people who go, we're gay for Gaza, go over to Gaza and try that and see what happens.
- 49:23Go to China and try to run over one of their security uh officials and watch what happens to you.
- 49:30You'd be you'd be dead.
- 49:31You would actually be the most fortunate thing that would happen to you would be to go to a slave labor camp and make solar panels for the Chinese Communist Party to send a stupid Westerners who believe solar panels work.
- 49:44You would be killed, and your entire family would be jailed.
- 49:48Every protester that came out for George Floyd would either be killed or sent to camps.
- 49:53Every protester comes comes out for New Kings or ICE or Minneapolis or Seattle.
- 49:58You would go try that.
- 50:00In Russia or China or anywhere in the Middle East.
- 50:03Watch what would happen to you.
- 50:07Watch.
- 50:09You would die.
- 50:10So I would beg you, please don't do that.
- 50:12I want to see you live.
- 50:15That is great power.
- 50:18That is the sum of power.
- 50:23People may disagree with it.
- 50:24People may go, but I want the world to be a kind, nicer place.
- 50:29I do too.
- 50:31You want to make the world a kinder, nicer place, kick out the Chinese and the Russians in the Western hemisphere.
- 50:36Go get rare earth metals and minerals that can go into your iPhone or a missile defense system or increasingly high-tech goods like AI and watch your world be better.
- 50:52Go get natural gas so we can make more ammonia and make more fertilizer and feed more people.
- 50:59That's what the national security strategy of the United States is about.
- 51:03That's what why we went into Venezuela.
- 51:06Because we are saying no more.
- 51:10No more boys and girls.
- 51:13This new security doctrine, it's really a reordering of global energy geopolitics.
- 51:21Go read the national security strategy.
- 51:24It is one of the most bluntly delivered documents you will ever read.
- 51:34It's the first one too.
- 51:35Since since again, world war two, because that war is still being fought in the minds and hearts of people.
- 52:03Frankly, even recognizes our post-war transatlantic compact.
- 52:11Our this idea that we are in lockstep brotherhood with the Europeans.
- 52:16No, we're not.
- 52:21What it talks about is we are we are in an uncomfortable situation where in no way, shape, fashion, or form are we ever, ever going to rely on the Europeans anymore.
- 52:36When you think about two with what we've done in Venezuela, I'd argue even further that not only are we getting rid of net zero, we want to get rid of mass immigration.
- 52:46We want to get rid of a regulatory state.
- 52:48We want to have permitting reform so we can build, dominate, live in peace and security for the rest of uh the rest of this century.
- 52:57That's what we're that's actually what we're really doing.
- 53:02Um sure, you can see where this would shock the Europeans, but I can tell you where else it's going to shock people in Moscow and Beijing.
- 53:11Um you'll probably see Middle Eastern countries begin to react.
- 53:16It's why we're doing what we're doing with the Iranians.
- 53:19Do I think that we're gonna go invade different countries anymore?
- 53:24No.
- 53:24Do I think we're going to uh begin killing Iranians?
- 53:30No.
- 53:31I think the Israelis can do a perfectly uh good job of doing that for the United States.
- 53:36They they've proved it, they've proven it.
- 53:40This again, I'll bring it back to the Thomas Hobbes.
- 53:48People are in a struggle for resources, people are in a struggle for order and security.
- 53:54People are in a struggle for a better life.
- 53:58That's what they're in a struggle for.
- 54:01Um you think about all of this, when you think of, go read the national security strategy, but make no mistake, too.
- 54:12Yeah, this is about oil.
- 54:15Um this is about the United States continuing to be the world's largest producer of oil and gas.
- 54:20But this is also about the security of the United States and the Western hemisphere.
- 54:25And when you think about that trade war that recently took place, what did the Chinese do?
- 54:29They weaponize rare earth metals and minerals against the United States and the Europeans.
- 54:34And you know what?
- 54:35They should have, because we were the idiots who believed in climate change and listened to environmentalists and got rid of all of our heavy manufacturing and mining, refining and processing of these minerals because we didn't want to have emissions and we believed that a clean environment, that was you know, that was Vahala.
- 54:54That was utopia.
- 54:56No, it's not.
- 54:58That's a way you can get dominated.
- 55:00So in this episode, when you think about from Venezuela to Greenland, there's a lot of factors that I've put in there from climate change to social issue to great power politics to oil to money to large military budgets.
- 55:16I'd tell you, think about Thomas Hobbes, the Leviathan.
- 55:20Think about Machiavelli's The Prince.
- 55:23Go back to the great masters.
- 55:25Go back to classical literature, go back to the Greeks.
- 55:29Plato asks, what is justice?
- 55:32In the 21st century, justice is oil, money, geopolitics, have being stable in your hemisphere and getting rid of social issues which damage your society, not drilling for your own oil and natural gas, believing in net zero and climate change, destroying the family, not having children, and believing that you can have a weak military and have any influence in the world.
- 56:01Instead, the Trump national security doctrine, the new Trump doctrine, the United States approaches.
- 56:08We are going to control the Western hemisphere.
- 56:11We are going to contain you China in the East, and we're going to do everything we can to weaken you by not giving you energy resources or having you fully rely on the Russians and the Russians having to fully rely on you and let the both of you eat each other alive in doing that.
- 56:30My name is Todd Royal.
- 56:32This is geopowered energy and real politics.
- 56:37Thank you so much and God bless you.
