- 0:01The three was the final What was the vibe from the group in there when
- 0:04you got in the locker room, were able to address them. They're just
- 0:07excited to win and excited to win, you know for our seniors playing their
- 0:11last game at the Rent. Yeah, there are a number of guys that
- 0:16really were able to contribute here today. But I think some of the guys
- 0:20we don't normally talk about, like a nouel for Nieu, but what does
- 0:23he meant? You know, we talked about the offensive line that really paved
- 0:26the way today, but he's one of those anchors. Yeah, nobody ever
- 0:29really talks about those guys, and that's probably good thing because that means they're
- 0:32doing a good job. But no, I mean no, I mean everyone
- 0:36loves him and he's done a great job for us here for a number of
- 0:38years, and he's you know, all these guys have hung in through some
- 0:41really tough times and always exhibited a great attitude and he's just you know,
- 0:47when we talked about our seniors this week in our meetings, and you just
- 0:52could feel the respect for a guy like that, or the respect for a
- 0:55guy like Will Meyer. He's a walk on. It's Viner's whole career,
- 0:58and I don't know that he's ever seen the field, and you know,
- 1:00we were desperately trying to get him on the field there so you could have
- 1:03that experience. We weren't able to do it, which was unfortunate. But
- 1:07our players have a lot of respect for each other, the group as a
- 1:12whole. It seems like they have fun in an environment like this when they're
- 1:17winning and having fun. And I couldn't help but notice on a near punt
- 1:21block del Mont Gorddyne came over and you had a big smile on your face.
- 1:23What was going on between you two. I've told them a story about
- 1:29my college career in the Rose Bowl when I had a chance to block a
- 1:34punt and I missed it by just a whisper, and so they said,
- 1:38I'm andy were We were laughing about kind of the similarities there. I mean,
- 1:42this wasn't quite the Rose Bowl, but same type of situation. So
- 1:46we were kind of reliving that moment. One of the guys that you've talked
- 1:49about, and it's not a senior, as a freshman, Kylie Hicks is
- 1:52someone over the last two years and finally gets a moment and was able to
- 1:56convert on a touchdown. Well, I think he's a tough player. I
- 1:57think he's a physical player. I think he's a talented player. And you
- 2:01know, we need to keep getting him action and getting in the ball.
- 2:05And he's proven to me your block, you know, he can catch it
- 2:09in tough situations. He just has to play so he becomes more comfortable what
- 2:15he's doing and being consistent doing what he's supposed to do. But I really
- 2:17like the kid, and Class one defensive line is a unit here today.
- 2:22What they were able to do limiting that run game, it sure seemed like
- 2:24one of their better performances. Yeah, I mean they kind of stopped trying
- 2:29to run the ball after a while and throwing it. But you know,
- 2:30we're did a pretty good job up front with our defensive line and defensive front
- 2:35seven. And that involves a safety a lot of time too. So just
- 2:38a defense played well. Coach, congrats on the win. All right,
- 2:39thanks, all right, Zach, back to you.
