- 0:00Speaker 1: Let's look at Texas A & M and Arizona State. Again,
- 0:04Speaker 1: this preview presented by PrizePix. We've got a matchup guide
- 0:08Speaker 1: for you guys here on College Football Addiction. Make sure
- 0:11Speaker 1: that you are subscribed. We will continue to do these
- 0:14Speaker 1: episodes once a week where we break down two, three,
- 0:16Speaker 1: four games a week and talk to you a little
- 0:18Speaker 1: bit more in depth on them. A & M with
- 0:21Speaker 1: their first real test of the season. Arizona State, a
- 0:24Speaker 1: team that was really, really hot a couple years ago.
- 0:26Speaker 1: they're not playing with quite the same firepower out there
- 0:30Speaker 1: at this moment.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Are they? I mean, look, man, if we're talking firepower,
- 0:38Speaker 2: Cam Scadavu was a nuclear weapon, brother.
- 0:42Speaker 1: The guy that's in LSU, in Baton Rouge right now, too,
- 0:44Speaker 1: is out of there and Tyson and everybody else.
- 0:46Speaker 3: So, yeah, it is.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it was pretty much a layup there of a question.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Well, I mean, the other thing is that, you know,
- 0:52Speaker 2: we just talked about that Texas-Ohio State game, and Relique
- 0:55Speaker 2: Brown is going to play for Texas in that game
- 0:58Speaker 2: at running back after having a ton of yardage at
- 1:01Speaker 2: Arizona State. So, you know, I do think that this
- 1:06Speaker 2: is one of those where I do believe that Kenny
- 1:12Speaker 2: Dillingham is– very good at his job and like understands
- 1:17Speaker 2: his place in college football and sort of builds and
- 1:20Speaker 2: workshops his roster to replace production year after year.
- 1:24Speaker 3: The, you know, I don't see them going.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Back to the college football playoff this season, but I
- 1:32Speaker 2: don't see Texas A & M going back to the
- 1:33Speaker 2: college football playoff this season either. So it's an interesting
- 1:36Speaker 2: spot because I, I've kind of had it on my
- 1:40Speaker 2: like to do agenda all off season and, to fade
- 1:44Speaker 2: Texas A & M early, and this is the first
- 1:47Speaker 2: real opportunity to do that with 14 and a hook
- 1:50Speaker 2: sitting out there. So it's just– it becomes a question
- 1:55Speaker 2: of how do I feel about Arizona State? Do they
- 1:58Speaker 2: have enough just like pure athletes to deal with what
- 2:02Speaker 2: A & M has in a game like this?
- 2:04Speaker 1: When you look at A & M, we haven't really
- 2:06Speaker 1: talked about them big picture yet, first big game that
- 2:08Speaker 1: they're playing. Thoughts on– let's do two things. Let's two-parter here.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Thoughts on quarterback for them, how much you think he
- 2:20Speaker 1: may have taken a step, Marcel, from year over year,
- 2:24Speaker 1: or was he maybe at his ceiling last year? How
- 2:26Speaker 1: would you assess what you expect out of him this year?
- 2:29Speaker 1: And then on the other side, they brought in some
- 2:31Speaker 1: talent on the defensive line, but they also are replacing
- 2:34Speaker 1: just an absolute elite freak in Cassius Howell. Just thoughts on,
- 2:38Speaker 1: can those two units, which maybe you just kind of
- 2:41Speaker 1: gave us a preview of saying they won't go back
- 2:42Speaker 1: to the playoff this year or may not go back
- 2:44Speaker 1: to the playoff this year. Can those two units be
- 2:48Speaker 1: anything close to what they were? They obviously lose a
- 2:51Speaker 1: great wide receiver in Contepcion. They bring some guys in.
- 2:54Speaker 1: How do you evaluate them just from a total talent
- 2:56Speaker 1: perspective compared to last year?
- 2:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, it's... Marcel Reed is... Excuse me.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I've got to.
- 3:06Speaker 3: The ons tonight. Marcel Reed is just extremely enigmatic, man.
- 3:10Speaker 3: He is.
- 3:11Speaker 2: And I don't know what to do with him all
- 3:14Speaker 2: the time if I'm being totally frank. Because there are
- 3:17Speaker 2: moments where you're like, yeah, I can see it.
- 3:20Speaker 3: It feels good. It looks nice. This is solid. And
- 3:23Speaker 3: there's others where you're just like, man, what is it
- 3:27Speaker 3: going to look like?
- 3:28Speaker 2: I think that what it looks like and what worked
- 3:31Speaker 2: for A & M last year was it seemed like
- 3:34Speaker 2: they were able to just kind of live off of
- 3:36Speaker 2: explosive plays, right? And if he had a game where.
- 3:40Speaker 3: He was 17 for.
- 3:41Speaker 2: 36, the 17 would add up to 280 yards and
- 3:45Speaker 2: three touchdowns. That's how they beat Notre Dame on the
- 3:47Speaker 2: road last year. And they were able to do that
- 3:51Speaker 2: because those receivers were so good. Week one, I will
- 3:55Speaker 2: say in favor of Marcel, just kind of looking at
- 3:58Speaker 2: some of his passing charts, The downfield stuff was not
- 4:02Speaker 2: as good, right? He's, he's one of five downfield of
- 4:05Speaker 2: 20 plus yards. Some of that I think was on
- 4:09Speaker 2: like not great execution from the receivers, but that's a
- 4:13Speaker 2: problem for him. Cause that's really what he does best. He,
- 4:16Speaker 2: I think is improving in the quick game in certain ways,
- 4:21Speaker 2: but like we, I mean, we saw them struggle for
- 4:25Speaker 2: a little while last week, right? Like they kind of
- 4:28Speaker 2: screwed around for a half, against a bad opponent.
- 4:32Speaker 3: And I think that the.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Marcel Reed experience is probably going to continue to be, Hey,
- 4:39Speaker 2: you better be good enough on defense and in other
- 4:41Speaker 2: places to navigate 20 to 25 minutes of a cold
- 4:44Speaker 2: stretch and not find yourself out of the game and
- 4:48Speaker 2: like unable to be balanced whenever he does sort of
- 4:52Speaker 2: find his rhythm again. So I look at Marcel Reed
- 4:54Speaker 2: the same way I look at like a, the top
- 4:59Speaker 2: three-point shooter on a mid-table, mid-American conference college basketball team that,
- 5:08Speaker 2: you know, is making a run in March in a
- 5:11Speaker 2: conference tournament. Like, if, you know, Joey Dugan can come in,
- 5:17Speaker 2: seventh guy off the bench, and give you, like, five
- 5:20Speaker 2: of eight from three, then you can maybe knock off
- 5:23Speaker 2: the one seed in the quarterfinals and go dance and
- 5:26Speaker 2: and just have sort of a magical night. But if
- 5:29Speaker 2: your plan to be the one seed coming into the
- 5:33Speaker 2: tournament is that Joey Dugan's got to go five of
- 5:35Speaker 2: eight from three every night, you're probably going to get
- 5:38Speaker 2: fired at the end of the year.
- 5:40Speaker 3: So I'm not saying Mike Elko is getting fired, but.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I just don't know that Marcel Reed brings a high
- 5:51Speaker 2: enough floor week to week to just feel good about hey,
- 5:56Speaker 2: we're Texas A & M and we're going to go
- 5:58Speaker 2: out and we're going to play, I don't know, Missouri
- 6:01Speaker 2: this week or South Carolina or one of your mid-table
- 6:05Speaker 2: SEC teams and know that you should just win that game.
- 6:10Speaker 2: As far as A & M' s receivers, we just kind
- 6:13Speaker 2: of talked about, I think I've sort of foreshadowed my
- 6:16Speaker 2: take there. That's a huge drop-off in my opinion. I
- 6:20Speaker 2: will say Isaiah Horton is really good. That part is not... Actually,
- 6:27Speaker 2: I shouldn't say it's a huge drop-off. It's not a
- 6:29Speaker 2: huge drop-off, but the Terry Bussey thing, I love Terry
- 6:35Speaker 2: Bussey as a recruit. I think he's a really good player.
- 6:38Speaker 2: I don't know that he can replace Casey Concepcion in
- 6:42Speaker 2: a one-for-one scenario. I think Craver and Horton is a
- 6:46Speaker 2: pretty nasty little duo on the outside, but they got
- 6:51Speaker 2: to find ways to to get Reed, I think comfortable
- 6:58Speaker 2: enough in some of those like crosser type situations with
- 7:03Speaker 2: bussy out of the slot, or even with some of
- 7:06Speaker 2: their speedier running backs to, to workshop all of this
- 7:11Speaker 2: in a way where like he can hit angle routes for,
- 7:16Speaker 2: you know, a touchdown on, on third and four from
- 7:19Speaker 2: the plus 36 yard line.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Right. Like that's, that's what magic looks like. So I am,
- 7:27Speaker 3: I don't know. I'm kind of talking to myself into, but.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I, I do, I do think that when it looks good,
- 7:38Speaker 2: it's going to look really good. And it could be
- 7:42Speaker 2: easy to sort of get sucked in onto that rabbit
- 7:45Speaker 2: hole and think it's going to look that good every week.
- 7:48Speaker 3: But I don't love what they lost on the offensive line.
- 7:52Speaker 3: And that, The theme of the show, right? If you
- 7:55Speaker 3: win the trenches. I do think that A & M' s
- 7:59Speaker 3: offensive line.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Took a pretty big step back and experienced talent. Otherwise,
- 8:05Speaker 2: they have good coaches. Elko is a line.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Of scrimmage guy. I think he prioritizes that part of
- 8:13Speaker 3: their roster.
- 8:14Speaker 2: But I wonder a little bit what happens if they
- 8:18Speaker 2: get into a game where Reid, despite his mobility... is
- 8:23Speaker 2: not able to sit in the pocket and sort of
- 8:25Speaker 2: leave the pocket by choice. He's starting to leave the
- 8:27Speaker 2: pocket by necessity. Cause right now in 2025, he was
- 8:31Speaker 2: in a place where he left the pocket by choice
- 8:33Speaker 2: just as much as he did because he needed to,
- 8:35Speaker 2: if not more, if he starts having to leave by necessity,
- 8:38Speaker 2: he strikes me as the type of guy who could
- 8:40Speaker 2: try and bite off more than he can chew in
- 8:41Speaker 2: certain scenarios and throw some crippling interceptions. So, um, I,
- 8:46Speaker 2: I do think that like the, when it's good and
- 8:50Speaker 2: he's getting protected, um, It needs to be really good,
- 8:53Speaker 2: and I don't know that I trust that.
- 8:57Speaker 1: What does Arizona State do, or what will they be
- 8:59Speaker 1: able to do? Because I think a lot of what
- 9:02Speaker 1: you're talking about are... I don't expect A & M
- 9:06Speaker 1: to drop this game, right?
- 9:07Speaker 2: No.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Is there a path? I think a lot of what
- 9:09Speaker 1: you're talking about is how a game remains closer or
- 9:13Speaker 1: a spread is not covered. I don't know how much
- 9:14Speaker 1: Elko cares about covering the spread. But if you're looking
- 9:18Speaker 1: at it from that angle, that's probably... what you're asking
- 9:24Speaker 1: about for this game, I think a lot of what
- 9:25Speaker 1: you're talking about is what is going to plague them
- 9:27Speaker 1: big picture. When they play the Texases and when they
- 9:30Speaker 1: play the, I guess they're going to play LSU in
- 9:33Speaker 1: a couple of weeks, when they play Tennessee in College Station.
- 9:37Speaker 1: But what about for Arizona State specifically? Are there things
- 9:42Speaker 1: that you have confidence that they'll be able to do?
- 9:46Speaker 1: You talk about the talent. Obviously, I don't think Arizona
- 9:48Speaker 1: State has the, I don't have to think, Arizona State
- 9:50Speaker 1: does not have the level of talent that A &
- 9:52Speaker 1: M does as far as a caliber of athlete across
- 9:55Speaker 1: the roster. But what are the things that they can
- 9:58Speaker 1: do to make this a game?
- 10:01Speaker 2: Well, I'm going to give you some interesting stats here.
- 10:03Speaker 2: So let's start on the A & M side real quick.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Last week, who did they play?
- 10:11Speaker 3: Sorry, give me one second.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Missouri State. Sorry, I was about to say Morgan State,
- 10:14Speaker 2: but that's who Arizona State played. Too many teams that
- 10:18Speaker 2: we don't really know.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Unfortunately, we're moving into week two now, baby.
- 10:23Speaker 2: We're getting some priors.
- 10:27Speaker 1: I'll get right back to the video, but first I
- 10:28Speaker 1: want to give some love to our friends over at PrizePix.
- 10:30Speaker 1: There's a ton on the PrizePix app right now that
- 10:32Speaker 1: you can go get. There was a free play tonight
- 10:34Speaker 1: here on Wednesday night for Sam Darnold. There have been
- 10:37Speaker 1: free plays for all this NFL opening weekend stuff that
- 10:41Speaker 1: you can find. And then, of course, why we're here,
- 10:43Speaker 1: college football. Whether you're looking for Jeremiah Smith or Arch
- 10:46Speaker 1: Manning or you're looking for Satanga at Oklahoma, or you're
- 10:49Speaker 1: looking for something with Michigan because you want to take
- 10:50Speaker 1: a less. Whatever you're looking for, they've got you taken
- 10:53Speaker 1: care of. We showed a lot of love to Faison
- 10:54Speaker 1: Brandon tonight. You can go look at his lines against
- 10:57Speaker 1: Georgia Tech. Go check out the more or less options
- 11:00Speaker 1: that you've got over on the PrizePix app. All new
- 11:02Speaker 1: users there who play $ 5 and win that first lineup
- 11:05Speaker 1: using code H, you may get $ 150 in lineups instantly.
- 11:08Speaker 1: We appreciate PrizePix for their support. Go check them out.
- 11:12Speaker 2: You look at the A & M offensive line last week,
- 11:15Speaker 2: and they– They moved some different guys around, right, as
- 11:20Speaker 2: far as, you know, they did some different things at tackle. But, like,
- 11:25Speaker 2: they trotted out Wilkin Fornby, who played for Alabama last
- 11:28Speaker 2: year and was a massive liability in that offensive line
- 11:32Speaker 2: for large parts of their SEC season, both in run
- 11:35Speaker 2: and pass block. Like, he played more snaps at one
- 11:39Speaker 2: of the tackle positions than anybody else. The guy that
- 11:43Speaker 2: split time with him, he gave up a pressure– against
- 11:46Speaker 2: Missouri State in very few pass block reps.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Their starting center, he was fine.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Their other tackle, the guy that played full time, he
- 11:58Speaker 2: gave up.
- 11:58Speaker 3: A pressure in that game. Ball at guard gave.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Up a pressure to Missouri State. Blake Ivey at the
- 12:05Speaker 2: other guard position gave up a pressure to Missouri State.
- 12:08Speaker 2: So you're talking about four or five offensive linemen giving
- 12:11Speaker 2: up pressures to Missouri State. Is that predictive or did
- 12:15Speaker 2: they just, you know, get bored. I guess we'll find
- 12:18Speaker 2: out in the long run. But to me, I do
- 12:21Speaker 2: think that if you're giving up, like I remember covering
- 12:25Speaker 2: Georgia's early games last year and being like, wow, like
- 12:28Speaker 2: Gunner Stockton's getting hit.
- 12:31Speaker 3: That's not great.
- 12:32Speaker 2: And then Gunner Stockton kind of got sped up and
- 12:34Speaker 2: then he got comfortable again.
- 12:35Speaker 3: And when they lost through Bobo late in the year,
- 12:37Speaker 3: he got sped up again.
- 12:39Speaker 2: And I think that costs them the ability to, to
- 12:41Speaker 2: do some things late in the season when they got
- 12:44Speaker 2: in the playoffs and, I don't know that this will
- 12:48Speaker 2: be the same case for A & M on Saturday
- 12:51Speaker 2: against Arizona State, but I do look at Arizona State
- 12:54Speaker 2: and what they did last week. Jalen Thompson, the Michigan
- 12:57Speaker 2: State transfer, had a whale of a game. Four pressures
- 13:00Speaker 2: and a sack, hit the quarterback twice. That's what they
- 13:05Speaker 2: can do to answer your question, is they can have
- 13:08Speaker 2: a good game pass rush-wise. And if you really look
- 13:11Speaker 2: at what they did last week, that was the thing
- 13:14Speaker 2: that they did the best was, was, was rushed the
- 13:15Speaker 2: passer from the interior and from.
- 13:18Speaker 3: The edges, their edges. They had, wow.
- 13:23Speaker 2: One, two, three, four, five, six edges recorder pressure in
- 13:28Speaker 2: that game. And four of those guys recorded multiple pressures.
- 13:33Speaker 2: So I like that to me feels like their chance. And,
- 13:38Speaker 2: and it's the conversation that we just had, right? Like
- 13:40Speaker 2: this is all circular shit. If the, If the pass
- 13:44Speaker 2: rush can get home a little bit, then that probably
- 13:47Speaker 2: does protect Arizona State secondary. Maybe not as talented as
- 13:52Speaker 2: most that A & M will see against Horton and
- 13:55Speaker 2: Craver and Bussey.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Bussey's the one.
- 13:58Speaker 2: That I think could be the game breaker, you know,
- 14:01Speaker 2: just in those little underneath shorter routes that are harder
- 14:04Speaker 2: to cover. But that will help them tremendously on the
- 14:08Speaker 2: boundaries with Craver and Horton if those guys can get
- 14:11Speaker 2: home up front.
- 14:11Speaker 3: And I think they can. I think they will some, honestly.
- 14:14Speaker 2: And I think that there's a good chance that this
- 14:16Speaker 2: game can stay a little bit closer than some would
- 14:20Speaker 2: expect it to.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Cutter Boley went off last week. And, again, we've talked
- 14:25Speaker 1: about this with every game that we've previewed because nobody–
- 14:28Speaker 1: that we previewed this week played a good team. I
- 14:31Speaker 1: guess with the exception of Georgia tech, I don't know
- 14:33Speaker 1: that I'd call Colorado a great team, but probably the best.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:36Speaker 3: It's a loose definition of the word good.
- 14:37Speaker 1: But compared to everybody else, the other five opponents, you know,
- 14:41Speaker 1: Colorado would be the champion of the, uh, of the
- 14:44Speaker 1: opponents that we've, uh, that we've previewed so far. Um, gosh,
- 14:49Speaker 1: I hope the pro, I hope the coach prime fans
- 14:51Speaker 1: follow you, uh, and, and hear that. Um, well, But
- 14:55Speaker 1: Bully had a good game last week. Again, it's going
- 14:58Speaker 1: to be very different against an A & M defense.
- 15:00Speaker 1: There's no doubt. But I mean, hitting guys is hitting guys,
- 15:04Speaker 1: you know, and I don't care who it's against. I mean,
- 15:06Speaker 1: if I'm going to praise Faison for doing it against Furman,
- 15:09Speaker 1: then I'm going to praise Bully for doing it against
- 15:11Speaker 1: a bad opponent too, you know, or a lesser opponent.
- 15:14Speaker 1: So can they replicate the success that they had offense?
- 15:18Speaker 1: I mean, Still, Arizona State, not one of the premier
- 15:21Speaker 1: power four teams that's expected. Not even really a premier
- 15:24Speaker 1: Big 12 team. They're picked bottom half of the league
- 15:27Speaker 1: this year. 70 points is 70 points. Can they replicate
- 15:31Speaker 1: some level of success? I'm not expecting them to go
- 15:34Speaker 1: score 35 this weekend, but can they score multiple touchdowns
- 15:38Speaker 1: in this game and just, again, get a little defensive
- 15:41Speaker 1: line pressure, score a few times, see what happens in
- 15:43Speaker 1: the fourth quarter type of game?
- 15:45Speaker 2: I think the good news for Arizona State if you're
- 15:50Speaker 2: hoping that they'll have success in this game is that
- 15:53Speaker 2: the stuff they did last week, like it wasn't, yeah.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Bully only had one completion of 20 plus yards downfield,
- 16:01Speaker 2: which I know that might sound like, Oh, they're not explosive,
- 16:04Speaker 2: but there's a lot of variance in throwing downfield, especially
- 16:08Speaker 2: against a team like A & M, you know, like
- 16:11Speaker 2: he put together a good, accurate, like drive builder type
- 16:15Speaker 2: throws that allow you to move down the field and
- 16:18Speaker 2: consistent chunks, which is, ultimately the most sustainable path to
- 16:23Speaker 2: offensive success in my opinion.
- 16:24Speaker 3: So that's great.
- 16:26Speaker 2: The problem, I think a little bit in that game
- 16:29Speaker 2: is like they had insane amounts of, of yardage off
- 16:34Speaker 2: of just like screens. And I mean, they had 197
- 16:38Speaker 2: yards at 16.4 yards per attempt for two touchdowns. When
- 16:42Speaker 2: cutter bully was throwing behind the line of scrimmage last week,
- 16:46Speaker 2: like that's not replicable at all in this game. So, That,
- 16:51Speaker 2: to me, the answer is probably a little bit in
- 16:54Speaker 2: the middle.
- 16:56Speaker 3: They do have some good twitch, right?
- 16:59Speaker 2: I was impressed with what Reed Harris did in that
- 17:02Speaker 2: game last week. There was some other stuff that felt
- 17:05Speaker 2: a little bit more anomalous, like throwing to your halfback
- 17:10Speaker 2: twice for 110 yards and two touchdowns is just not
- 17:13Speaker 2: something that's going.
- 17:14Speaker 3: To happen a ton.
- 17:15Speaker 2: But I think they will– find a way to workshop
- 17:22Speaker 2: some offense. Like, Omarion Miller is a good enough receiver
- 17:27Speaker 2: to do some damage. He had 800 yards at Colorado
- 17:30Speaker 2: last year. Reed Harris is a talented receiver, I think.
- 17:35Speaker 2: And past that, you know, I mean, it will come
- 17:39Speaker 2: down to can.
- 17:41Speaker 3: They make a little bit of hay running the football?
- 17:44Speaker 2: Not a lot, but, like, that's where Cutter Bully, I think,
- 17:46Speaker 2: is really going to have to be brave in this
- 17:49Speaker 2: game for lack of a better term is he is
- 17:51Speaker 2: a guy that is talented with his legs and can
- 17:55Speaker 2: do things on the ground and I think that they
- 17:57Speaker 2: need him to probably take off at times and just
- 18:01Speaker 2: stick his nose up the middle of the defense and
- 18:03Speaker 2: get five yards if the defensive tackles get kicked out
- 18:07Speaker 2: a little bit wide and just kind of manage things
- 18:10Speaker 2: in that way.
- 18:11Speaker 3: I liked him at Kentucky. I thought he was talented.
- 18:14Speaker 2: That project didn't really finish obviously there in his home
- 18:17Speaker 2: state but we've seen Dillingham have a really good track
- 18:22Speaker 2: record with these types of quarterback situations, and I think
- 18:26Speaker 2: that he'll play within himself on Saturday, and I think
- 18:29Speaker 2: that he'll play respectable and well.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Are you taking the points?
- 18:35Speaker 3: I'm taking the points.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Talk yourself into it?
- 18:39Speaker 3: Talk myself into it. I'm taking Arizona State. That hook
- 18:42Speaker 3: is huge, though, man.
- 18:44Speaker 2: I mean, the hook is where it's at. Don't if
- 18:47Speaker 2: you like this game, then don't, don't let that hook
- 18:49Speaker 2: get away from you. You know, cause I, I don't
- 18:52Speaker 2: know if it'll sit there all week.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Do you, is it, is it uncomfortable for A
- 18:59Speaker 1: & M or do they win comfortably? But that's just
- 19:01Speaker 1: a big number this early in the year.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Oh, I think it's, I do think it's uncomfortable for
- 19:10Speaker 2: a little while. Like I'm not saying it's, you know,
- 19:12Speaker 2: they got to pull it out of the fire with
- 19:14Speaker 2: five minutes to go in the fourth type of situation. But,
- 19:17Speaker 2: I would not be shocked if this game is like
- 19:20Speaker 2: three or four points at halftime and people are on
- 19:25Speaker 2: the internet being like, well, like I guess A &
- 19:27Speaker 2: M' s fraudulent and you know, Marcel Reed sucks in that
- 19:31Speaker 2: message board geniuses account is just ripping off screenshots from.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Tech sags like that. If, if, if that fits your
- 19:37Speaker 3: definition of uncomfortable, then yeah.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Old takes exposed, like saves a bunch of people's tweets.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Are you in there?
- 19:42Speaker 1: No, I'm not. That's the first thing I looked through. I,
- 19:46Speaker 1: thumbed through the whole thing and I was like, TJ, TJ, TJ.
- 19:48Speaker 1: All right, very good. Am I in there? I don't know.
- 19:51Speaker 1: I didn't look for you. I was just looking at mine.
- 19:53Speaker 1: They've got all the names, like all the notes to
- 19:55Speaker 1: all the pages in the back. So I just looked
- 19:57Speaker 1: under Pittenger. I'll have to look through this tonight. I'll
- 19:59Speaker 1: find out if you're in here. Gottlieb's in here. So yeah,
- 20:03Speaker 1: you're probably good. Oh, that's G.
- 20:06Speaker 2: No.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Let's see. I'm not looking through that whole thing right now. Yeah,
- 20:10Speaker 1: but I will look tonight.
- 20:12Speaker 3: This is good television, dude.
- 20:14Speaker 1: He's reading a book by the Freezing Cold Takes Twitter account.
- 20:18Speaker 1: But shout out my guy, Fred Siegel, for writing that
- 20:20Speaker 1: and sending me one. But, yeah, I'll take A &
- 20:24Speaker 1: M to cover. That hook does scare me. I might
- 20:27Speaker 1: wait until kickoff just because, you know, if it goes
- 20:29Speaker 1: to 15, then who cares? You know, what's the difference? But, yeah,
- 20:33Speaker 1: I might wait until closer to kickoff just to see
- 20:36Speaker 1: what it is. I might go first half, you know.
- 20:38Speaker 1: That's probably like seven or eight. And I could see
- 20:41Speaker 1: it being close-ish for a half, and then I think
- 20:44Speaker 1: A & M just kind of has the athletes. You
- 20:47Speaker 1: made a good point about Reid. He may have those
- 20:49Speaker 1: spurts where it's not perfect for a little while. I
- 20:53Speaker 1: think eventually he's probably going to break out in this
- 20:55Speaker 1: game and extend it. Now, what is Arizona State able
- 21:00Speaker 1: to do to answer? That'll be what we find out.
- 21:02Speaker 1: But I do think that I'll ride with A &
- 21:05Speaker 1: M on this to eventually put it away and cover,
- 21:09Speaker 1: but The hook does scare me.
- 21:11Speaker 2: I think that Reed kind of gets, you know, I
- 21:15Speaker 2: think he's a little sporadic early, gets hit some, is
- 21:20Speaker 2: under duress at times. And I think eventually over time,
- 21:25Speaker 2: Arizona State's offense is not going to.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Be able to stay on the field enough. Right.
- 21:29Speaker 2: And their defense will wear down and Marcel Reed or
- 21:33Speaker 2: Bussey breaks a big run after the catch or a
- 21:36Speaker 2: big run out of the pocket or something like that
- 21:38Speaker 2: happens late. pocket breaks down and somebody sucks up in
- 21:42Speaker 2: the secondary and, and they, you know, put it away
- 21:45Speaker 2: and everybody breathes a big sigh of relief and they
- 21:47Speaker 2: win by 10, but it wasn't really even that, you know,
- 21:51Speaker 2: it was a little closer than that in reality.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Graham, where can people follow you? Where can they find
- 21:56Speaker 1: your work? What all you got going on? I know
- 21:59Speaker 1: that George has got some big games coming up this week,
- 22:00Speaker 1: but then you also have more stuff going on at
- 22:02Speaker 1: dog central that you talked about a little bit tonight.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:05Speaker 3: You can check me out. Dark central.com. We are, doing some.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Trench-based offensive line, defensive line, yards before contact, yards after
- 22:18Speaker 2: contact-based type tracking this year. All of that stuff will
- 22:22Speaker 2: be online, fully updated after week two for every category.
- 22:28Speaker 2: That page will be open and free.
- 22:32Speaker 3: If you're a Georgia fan and you.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Check this out, we do this type of depth on
- 22:37Speaker 2: pretty much every aspect of the Georgia football program from
- 22:41Speaker 2: recruiting to, to game film and, and, and written analysis, uh,
- 22:46Speaker 2: my 12 takeaways for week one went up on Sunday.
- 22:50Speaker 2: So please come check it out. We'd, we'd love to
- 22:52Speaker 2: have you. And we have a great community of like
- 22:55Speaker 2: people that want to actually talk about football instead of
- 22:57Speaker 2: telling each other to go fuck themselves.
- 22:59Speaker 1: So I appreciate you, man. We'll, we'll be back. I
- 23:03Speaker 1: didn't bother me. Oh, you should have heard me, uh,
- 23:06Speaker 1: Tuesday morning at about 2 a.m. on the FSU show.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. I'll go back and watch that.
- 23:12Speaker 1: No, don't. Don't. I need to take it down is
- 23:14Speaker 1: what I need to do. But we'll be back next
- 23:17Speaker 1: week with a whole other list of games. Next week
- 23:19Speaker 1: is– oh, yeah. Next week is like– well, I probably
- 23:22Speaker 1: won't do it now. FSU-Bama, Auburn-Florida, LSU-Ole Miss. Like there's– yeah,
- 23:28Speaker 1: next week is going to be fun. We might be
- 23:29Speaker 1: doing this for like two hours next week. But we'll
- 23:31Speaker 1: call it a night.
- 23:31Speaker 3: LSU-Ole Miss will be a lot of fun.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. I can't wait. So– For Graham Coffee, TJ Pittenger,
- 23:39Speaker 1: we appreciate you guys for tuning in. We will talk
- 23:41Speaker 1: to you soon on College Football Addiction, the complete preview
- 23:45Speaker 1: guide to three different games again tonight. We will talk
- 23:48Speaker 1: to you guys soon.
