Transcript
- 0:22Speaker 1: All right, everybody, you're listening to the Eagles postgame analysis
- 0:24Speaker 1: here in the Philadelphia Sports Table podcast show, the longest
- 0:27Speaker 1: running weekly Philly sports podcast show in the world. The
- 0:31Speaker 1: Philadelphia Eagles have lost to the Dallas Cowboys. After beating
- 0:35Speaker 1: them the very first week of the season. They lose
- 0:38Speaker 1: down in Dallas by a score of twenty four to
- 0:41Speaker 1: twenty one in an incredibly dogshit type of game where
- 0:45Speaker 1: they should have won. Philadelphia Eagles should have won here
- 0:47Speaker 1: in week twelve.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Now it is in the books.
- 0:51Speaker 1: My gosh, this team that goes up twenty one to
- 0:54Speaker 1: nothing ends up losing the game. It's astonishing, and we're
- 0:59Speaker 1: gonna dive into our themes and then get into our grades.
- 1:02Speaker 1: I'm Jeff Warren here with my good buddy Eric Leonard. Eric,
- 1:06Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, we talked before we hit the record
- 1:09Speaker 1: button first half basically, you know, we had some notes
- 1:13Speaker 1: we were taken for the postgame show, and it was
- 1:15Speaker 1: it was glowing the Eagles offense. We were glowing about it.
- 1:19Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden, once again a tale
- 1:22Speaker 1: of two halves. And then this team does what it
- 1:24Speaker 1: always does. They go on a streak of complete offensive
- 1:27Speaker 1: ineptness and this happens. They lose again to the Dallas
- 1:31Speaker 1: Cowboys twenty four to twenty one. I guess, I guess
- 1:35Speaker 1: we need to start off with the theme of what
- 1:38Speaker 1: happened with the narrative this week? Okay, because honestly, I'm
- 1:41Speaker 1: gonna start actually off talking get us started off talking
- 1:45Speaker 1: about something kind of positive. Jalen Hurts, you know, he
- 1:47Speaker 1: heard the noise all week and he knew how to
- 1:51Speaker 1: respond to start the game. The Eagles were right on
- 1:54Speaker 1: fire right out of the gate. When it came to
- 1:56Speaker 1: the passing game, Cowboys didn't convert on a fourth and three,
- 1:59Speaker 1: the Eagles were able to capitalize on it, took advantage
- 2:02Speaker 1: of it. Jalen Hurts on that drive went five of
- 2:06Speaker 1: six for forty seven yards a touchdown to AJ Brown.
- 2:09Speaker 1: By the way, and after the narrative this week about
- 2:13Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts AJ Brown, you know the relationship, what's gonna happen?
- 2:16Speaker 1: AJ Brown ends up with three targets for thirty one
- 2:19Speaker 1: yards and a touchdown on that very first drive and
- 2:23Speaker 1: at the half. At the half, Jalen Hurts was thirteen
- 2:26Speaker 1: of nineteen fo one hundred and sixty four yards and
- 2:28Speaker 1: that touchdown to AJ and then two rushing touchdowns himself. Okay,
- 2:34Speaker 1: their first three drives they score three touchdowns and then
- 2:39Speaker 1: it went off the fucking rails man. So I just
- 2:42Speaker 1: wanted to start this off by saying, you know what,
- 2:44Speaker 1: after the narrative this week, those individuals on this team involved,
- 2:48Speaker 1: they did step up. They did step up in big ways.
- 2:51Speaker 1: They weren't perfect by any stretch. Jalen Hurts wasn't perfect,
- 2:55Speaker 1: but he stepped up, especially to start off the game. So,
- 2:58Speaker 1: I mean, that's one of my first themes that I
- 2:59Speaker 1: wanted to put out there.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Sorry, my dog was all over me for two minutes. Now.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I just kept going for the audio portion, folks on
- 3:10Speaker 1: you assume you're gonna enjoy that.
- 3:12Speaker 4: He was like in my face. Yep, even he's upset
- 3:15Speaker 4: about this bullshit. Watch the whole game with me.
- 3:18Speaker 2: That was for the audio folks out there.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Just kept going, sorry, audio folks, if he's slurping, that's
- 3:25Speaker 4: what was going on.
- 3:28Speaker 3: What disaster?
- 3:30Speaker 4: I mean, it's just it's not a disaster. There's still
- 3:34Speaker 4: like one of the top NFC teams because the Cowboys suck. Like,
- 3:37Speaker 4: let's just start the show off with like, yeah, they
- 3:40Speaker 4: came back in the second half. Nothing about them impressed
- 3:44Speaker 4: me whatsoever. The Eagles. I'm just going to focus on
- 3:48Speaker 4: the first half of the Eagles.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Like, yeah, I mean, do you want to follow up
- 3:51Speaker 1: on what I was just saying. I don't even know
- 3:52Speaker 1: if you were able to concentrate giving the Jors over you. No, No,
- 3:56Speaker 1: that's fine. Just the fact that because of the narrative
- 3:59Speaker 1: this week Jalen Hurts AJ Brown narrative, like, they were
- 4:02Speaker 1: able to put that to rest, like early on in
- 4:05Speaker 1: this game and Jalen Hurts ends up scoring three fucking touchdowns.
- 4:09Speaker 1: AJ Brown was on fire in this game when his
- 4:12Speaker 1: number was called basically ten targets. He caught eight balls
- 4:15Speaker 1: for one hundred and ten yards a touchdown. He averaged
- 4:17Speaker 1: thirteen point eight yards per reception. What the fuck else
- 4:21Speaker 1: do you want from these guys? Okay, that narrative should
- 4:23Speaker 1: be put to rest at this point in my opinion.
- 4:26Speaker 4: No, they and they were totally feeding AJ Brown like
- 4:28Speaker 4: from the start, and it was very obvious, and it's
- 4:31Speaker 4: like that's what a smart franchise does because he's you know,
- 4:35Speaker 4: he's disgruntled whatever the term is. Right. We talked about
- 4:40Speaker 4: the show Wednesday night, like you know, Jalen Hurts is
- 4:46Speaker 4: a malcontent. AJ Brown's upset. No one likes or no
- 4:51Speaker 4: one likes Jalen Hurts because he's like self righteous. The
- 4:54Speaker 4: first half was just like an absolute like dart or
- 4:58Speaker 4: error to the chest of anyone who said that during
- 5:00Speaker 4: in the media during the week, right.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Yeah, they the Derek gunshit that we talked about that
- 5:05Speaker 1: basically like an arrow rateed Derek gun to say, you
- 5:08Speaker 1: know what, shut the fuck up, dude.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Yeah, And I real listened to I really listened to
- 5:12Speaker 4: our show earlier today when I was taking Georgia out
- 5:15Speaker 4: my dog, and I was like, they flipped the narrative tonight,
- 5:19Speaker 4: like they really did. Like it was like Jalen hurt sucks,
- 5:22Speaker 4: can't throw it down the field, AG Brown's upset and
- 5:26Speaker 4: they killed that.
- 5:28Speaker 3: They really did.
- 5:28Speaker 4: And but the first half was all Eagles, and that's
- 5:32Speaker 4: the Eagles that I know, and that's the Eagles that
- 5:35Speaker 4: I'm going to like hold on to.
- 5:36Speaker 3: The second half.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I mean, this is where the coaching comes into play.
- 5:40Speaker 1: This is where a pathetically coached game and when you're
- 5:45Speaker 1: up twenty one to nothing, they had a good like
- 5:49Speaker 1: we're just talking about, they had a good initial offensive
- 5:52Speaker 1: game plan and then they took their foot off the gas.
- 5:56Speaker 1: They take it right off the gas. And that so
- 6:00Speaker 1: the offensive coaching narrative that Nick sirian and Kevin Petulo
- 6:04Speaker 1: have employed continued to persist. That's the next theme here
- 6:09Speaker 1: that you were basically segueing into here, Eric, they get
- 6:13Speaker 1: ten or fourteen points up on a team, they get
- 6:17Speaker 1: the lead ten or fourteen. It happens almost every game,
- 6:21Speaker 1: and then they go into just don't turn the ball
- 6:24Speaker 1: over and conservative type of mode. I mean, you know,
- 6:28Speaker 1: but for instance, what do we think about Nick Sirianni
- 6:31Speaker 1: once again deciding to go into the half despite having
- 6:34Speaker 1: time on the clock. Yes, there were seventeen seconds, he
- 6:37Speaker 1: had two timeouts, but what do we think about that?
- 6:39Speaker 1: And we've seen this before with Nick Sirianni and Kevin
- 6:42Speaker 1: Petulu as well. This is exactly what aj Brown has
- 6:46Speaker 1: been talking about. The offense completely missing drive after drive
- 6:52Speaker 1: after drive, terrible adjustments that just dumb mistakes being made
- 6:57Speaker 1: coaching and some stuff on the field. And I know
- 7:00Speaker 1: I'm talking a lot here, but I want to go
- 7:02Speaker 1: over the stretch because once again we see the Eagles
- 7:05Speaker 1: offense in their weekly stretch where they forget entirely how
- 7:09Speaker 1: to move the football down the field dominant. Like we said,
- 7:13Speaker 1: their first three drives, then the subsequent five drives. Here
- 7:16Speaker 1: they are three plays for negative two yards, they got
- 7:19Speaker 1: a punt, and then right before the half one play
- 7:22Speaker 1: one yard end of the half, and Nick Sirianni's still
- 7:25Speaker 1: with seventeen seconds and two timeouts, says, now we're just
- 7:28Speaker 1: gonna go into the half with the twenty one point lead.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Next play, which is right and in the set right
- 7:33Speaker 1: to start the second half, three plays three yards and
- 7:36Speaker 1: a punt three and out right to start the second half.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Then six plays for eighteen yards, then a punt, then
- 7:42Speaker 1: three plays for seven yards and then a punt. That
- 7:44Speaker 1: is fourteen plays for twenty seven yards on their subsequent
- 7:48Speaker 1: quote five drives and the conservative nature of what those
- 7:54Speaker 1: plays were on those four yeah, those fourteen plays. Man
- 7:58Speaker 1: like this is en raging over and over and over
- 8:01Speaker 1: again every single fucking week.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Man like that.
- 8:04Speaker 1: This is what AJ Brown is talking about. And nobody
- 8:08Speaker 1: should be pissed off at him for it. Nobody should be.
- 8:11Speaker 4: No, and I'm hoping like nobody is pissed anymore in
- 8:14Speaker 4: a G Brown or Jalen Hurts honestly after this game. Yeah,
- 8:17Speaker 4: because they they deserve all the accolades for the first
- 8:21Speaker 4: half and they deserve no criticism for the second for
- 8:24Speaker 4: the most part.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Like.
- 8:28Speaker 4: Did did Sirianni forget what happened in the Super Bowl
- 8:31Speaker 4: when we were up like by twenty points?
- 8:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Shot to the jugglar, knife to the juggler when with.
- 8:40Speaker 4: The uh with the DeVante Smith pass like that, that's
- 8:43Speaker 4: the kind of mindset I want to see again, Like
- 8:46Speaker 4: Sirianni is a he's a complete asshole in a good way,
- 8:51Speaker 4: and like that's what they have to keep doing, like
- 8:55Speaker 4: foot to the throat. The team is down, throw the
- 8:58Speaker 4: sixty yard pass, kick their fucking ass, and that they
- 9:01Speaker 4: didn't do that tonight in the second half, and that's
- 9:04Speaker 4: like this is your rival, Like this is the only
- 9:06Speaker 4: team who is any shot of meeting like like getting
- 9:10Speaker 4: up to you in the NFC East and.
- 9:12Speaker 1: A pretty piss poor defense by the way, who they
- 9:15Speaker 1: should have.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, but like but the defense did enough. Honestly,
- 9:19Speaker 4: they hil them to twenty four points.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Like no, no, no, I meant I mean Dallas's defense is
- 9:23Speaker 1: a pub defense, right that the Eagles should say they
- 9:26Speaker 1: handle them twenty one points right out of the gate
- 9:29Speaker 1: and then they just took their foot off the gas
- 9:31Speaker 1: on a piss poor Dallas defense.
- 9:33Speaker 4: And I don't care when people say Dallas' defense still sucks.
- 9:37Speaker 4: I watched it all night and like like they have
- 9:40Speaker 4: two good tackles, a decent cornerback, so what like, yeah,
- 9:44Speaker 4: the Eagle should have won this game, like a give
- 9:46Speaker 4: up twenty four points.
- 9:47Speaker 3: You should have won thirty one to twenty four.
- 9:49Speaker 4: At least, right, Like that's It's just so frustrating, and
- 9:54Speaker 4: I honestly I was trying to figure out like when
- 9:57Speaker 4: after the game was over, I was watching the TV
- 9:59Speaker 4: and I'm just like, like, again, our first half, my
- 10:02Speaker 4: first half talking points were like this is simple.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Eagles are kicking their ass. This is the team they are.
- 10:09Speaker 4: The post game is gonna be simple, like Zach Bond
- 10:11Speaker 4: is a monster blanket ship and everybody, But like, like,
- 10:17Speaker 4: what what happened to that killer instinct when it teams down?
- 10:21Speaker 4: You had them down, like beyond down. It was sad
- 10:25Speaker 4: and this team's not good and you gave up that
- 10:29Speaker 4: that first touchdown to them in the second half and
- 10:34Speaker 4: just a bummer, like like like you should you should
- 10:38Speaker 4: kill this team like that. That was the feeling I
- 10:41Speaker 4: had going in the second half, like let's just go
- 10:43Speaker 4: up thirty four to nothing. Yeah, and just and just
- 10:47Speaker 4: kind of chill, put your backups in and they they
- 10:51Speaker 4: didn't at all. And I put the squarely on Sirianni,
- 10:54Speaker 4: squarely on Sirianni's shoulders. That's that's on tonight.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Yeaheah.
- 10:59Speaker 1: And Patulo as well, because.
- 11:01Speaker 3: But Ciriani is the guy the head is he is?
- 11:04Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, no, I agree, I completely agree. And we
- 11:08Speaker 1: also have to talk about another theme in this game
- 11:11Speaker 1: that comes down to the rushing, the lack of rushing.
- 11:18Speaker 1: You had one one running back in Saquon Barkley carried
- 11:22Speaker 1: the ball ten yards I'm sorry, ten times for twenty
- 11:26Speaker 1: two yards. Saquon Barkley two point two yards per carry.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Tank Bigsby carried the ball one time for eight yards.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Seems like whenever he gets the ball he's just getting
- 11:35Speaker 1: huge chunk plays. But this isn't This isn't a reflection
- 11:39Speaker 1: of those running backs. This is a reflection of an
- 11:42Speaker 1: offensive line that one didn't have Lane Johnson. We're gonna
- 11:46Speaker 1: get into some injuries in a bit, mainly from a
- 11:47Speaker 1: defensive perspective, Yeah, Lane Johnson not there. Interestingly enough, if
- 11:52Speaker 1: you go back and you listen to the Opposition Territory pod.
- 11:54Speaker 1: In our preview show this week, R Johoa from Brogindoboys
- 11:57Speaker 1: dot Com has said, you know what, years and years ago,
- 12:00Speaker 1: you know, I always knew Lane Johnson was a good
- 12:03Speaker 1: right tackle, but didn't realize how critical he actually is
- 12:07Speaker 1: to the Eagles offensive line. And when he's not there,
- 12:10Speaker 1: it is like an unmitigated disaster. And he said, as
- 12:13Speaker 1: a Cowboys fan, you know, I'm hoping to see that,
- 12:16Speaker 1: but as Eagles fans, you need to be aware that
- 12:19Speaker 1: that's likely going to happen. That's what we saw. Tyler
- 12:21Speaker 1: Steen at right guard was horrendous in the rushing attack.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Fred Johnson was horrendous in the rushing attack. Even in
- 12:28Speaker 1: pass protection. Both those guys the right side of the
- 12:30Speaker 1: offensive line not good. You've got Cam Jurgens missing blocks
- 12:34Speaker 1: as well at center, and he's been nursing injuries as well.
- 12:38Speaker 1: The Eagles offensive line was horrendous in the rushing attack
- 12:42Speaker 1: tonight when they were only able through their running backs
- 12:46Speaker 1: to give you thirty yards on eleven carries, and Jalen
- 12:51Speaker 1: Hurts is You're leading rusher with seven carries for thirty
- 12:54Speaker 1: three yards, and a lot of those were designed or
- 12:56Speaker 1: a few of those were designed runs as well. This
- 13:00Speaker 1: Eagles rushing attack is horrendous because of horrendous offensive line play.
- 13:04Speaker 1: The depth just isn't there, and and it's it's gonna
- 13:07Speaker 1: be a problem for the rest of the season.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Eric, It's funny, easy term attack.
- 13:13Speaker 4: Eighteen carries for sixty three yards total, three point three
- 13:18Speaker 4: point five average.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Yes, that's including Jalen Hurts by the way, Yes.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Yeah, that is not an attack. That is a e.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Like it's horrendous.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Yes, that's that.
- 13:30Speaker 4: That's a like what's this fight called?
- 13:34Speaker 3: Like this kind of thing?
- 13:35Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, like it's and this is the
- 13:40Speaker 4: This is the perfect example of the game of like
- 13:43Speaker 4: reneed the rushing attack because you're a twenty one nothing
- 13:45Speaker 4: at halftime or whatever it was, and come out in
- 13:47Speaker 4: the second half, Dallas got the ball, you got it
- 13:50Speaker 4: back pretty quickly, and you just want to run clock
- 13:53Speaker 4: and just like like wear their defense down and we
- 13:56Speaker 4: just we just kind of handed them.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Yeah, not just like yard is.
- 14:00Speaker 4: But like but like the energy, like it was just
- 14:03Speaker 4: like and I understand Lane Johnson's out, but like you
- 14:07Speaker 4: have a lot of good offensive linemen and uh, like
- 14:12Speaker 4: my god, really sad and put to Jalen hurts detriment honestly,
- 14:19Speaker 4: like he probably should have made some better plays passing wise,
- 14:24Speaker 4: I want to blaying pooper holes.
- 14:25Speaker 1: But like.
- 14:27Speaker 3: The offense, the second half was.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Just it was it was like milk toast, Oh my god,
- 14:33Speaker 4: like beyond milk toast, Like, yeah, the most.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Boring, Like you weren't even trying anymore.
- 14:38Speaker 4: And that's that's where I bring Siriani back in, Like you,
- 14:42Speaker 4: I always go back to the Super Bowl because that
- 14:44Speaker 4: was probably the best game you ever coached in his life.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Yeah, and he had he had.
- 14:50Speaker 4: The team down foot of the throat through the long ball.
- 14:54Speaker 4: It's like you should have done that at least once
- 14:56Speaker 4: or twice in the second half, yeah, because because you
- 14:59Speaker 4: you had you had the Cowboys defense on the ropes,
- 15:03Speaker 4: but never quite did it and like do once, like
- 15:07Speaker 4: just try it once or twice, like you needed this
- 15:09Speaker 4: game like this. The Rams are playing tonight against the Bucks,
- 15:13Speaker 4: and if they beat them, the Rams are gonna be
- 15:15Speaker 4: the number one seed in the NFC. In the NFC,
- 15:19Speaker 4: probably the favorite to win the Super Bowl. Yeah, like
- 15:22Speaker 4: you had to have this game point. Yeah, like not
- 15:25Speaker 4: just to like be above the Rams, but to like
- 15:28Speaker 4: just end the Cowboys season.
- 15:31Speaker 3: You just gave them.
- 15:32Speaker 4: Hope your fucking it's your fucking rival. Like that's the
- 15:36Speaker 4: part it pisses me off, Like where was Ciriotti's balls
- 15:40Speaker 4: on the table, Like, fuck, fuck the NFL. I'm the
- 15:44Speaker 4: best coach in the league, I have the best offense.
- 15:47Speaker 4: I'm going to go for it. Wasn't there tonight.
- 15:49Speaker 1: He hasn't had it all season, Actually it has.
- 15:52Speaker 3: That's it really bummed me out. Tonight was like, Bro, you're.
- 15:57Speaker 4: An absolute brois the ultimate coach. Bro.
- 16:01Speaker 3: It's like, and he didn't have it tonight.
- 16:03Speaker 4: He's like, oh, I'm not sure we're gonna do Yeah.
- 16:06Speaker 3: I didn't like that at all.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Zero points in forty minutes, Like yeah, yeah, that it's
- 16:11Speaker 1: absolutely awful. All right, Let's let's go over to the defense,
- 16:14Speaker 1: because you know, they were a bright spot even though
- 16:18Speaker 1: they gave up you know, the the they gave up
- 16:21Speaker 1: some big plays here and there. But we got to
- 16:24Speaker 1: talk about the injuries. Dory Jackson is now being a
- 16:27Speaker 1: value evaluated for a concussion. If you saw his head
- 16:30Speaker 1: hit the ground, I mean, he's probably he's likely going
- 16:32Speaker 1: to be out for a while. Moro Jomo went out
- 16:35Speaker 1: with a right hand injury, came back into the game thankfully.
- 16:39Speaker 1: This team has needed him up front for sure. Then
- 16:42Speaker 1: read blank and Ship going out with what looked like
- 16:44Speaker 1: a hamstring injury. Sidney Brown comes in, he was not
- 16:47Speaker 1: good at all, and then Andrew mccooba going out with
- 16:51Speaker 1: an ankle injury. In fact, mcoba from I believe it
- 16:54Speaker 1: was Tim McManus. I ended up saying Tim McManus saw
- 16:58Speaker 1: him and said that he was unable to put any
- 17:02Speaker 1: weight on his left leg back in the locker room.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Not good, not good at all, no weight. So we're
- 17:08Speaker 1: gonna be seeing Sidney Brown for some time. And that's
- 17:10Speaker 1: not good for anybody, but the defense overall, whether you're
- 17:15Speaker 1: talking about the fumble recovery at the start of the
- 17:18Speaker 1: second quarter, read Blankenship with the interception in the end zone.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I gotta read it real quick. Another interesting Tim McManus tweet.
- 17:27Speaker 1: According to ESPN's ESPN's Football Power Index, the Eagles had
- 17:32Speaker 1: a ninety six percent chance to win the game after
- 17:36Speaker 1: Dak Prescott's interception in the end zone in the second quarter.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Ninety six percent chance.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Man, God, you did have to.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Kobe Dean also playing a really, really good football. He's
- 17:48Speaker 1: the first Eagle to produce a saxon three consecutive games
- 17:52Speaker 1: since Nolan Smith did it last year during the Eagles
- 17:55Speaker 1: twenty twenty four postseason, where Nolan Smith had three. There
- 18:01Speaker 1: you had to have defensive guys stepping up. Cooper Dejen
- 18:04Speaker 1: had to move out to the to the outside in
- 18:07Speaker 1: nickel packages. Michael Carter, the second came in to play slot.
- 18:10Speaker 1: But the defense was adaptable. They did, I believe, all
- 18:14Speaker 1: they could in this game. They to keep the Eagles
- 18:19Speaker 1: offense in this game. This was not the defense that
- 18:21Speaker 1: lost this game. It was the Eagles offense, this lot
- 18:23Speaker 1: that lost this game for them and kept Dallas in.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Not the not the defense.
- 18:28Speaker 3: It's time of close.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Like, yeah, the defense did their job and the offense
- 18:32Speaker 4: did their job in the first half. Like sure, the
- 18:36Speaker 4: Cowboys scored their points in the second half, but like,
- 18:39Speaker 4: come on, like it wasn't that bad. Like I'm looking
- 18:43Speaker 4: at the Cowboys stats and they're they're kind of highlight
- 18:45Speaker 4: fantasy kind of stats, like Pickens had his had his yards,
- 18:50Speaker 4: Williams two, but like you know, Prescott had three fifty
- 18:57Speaker 4: four or two touchdowns.
- 18:58Speaker 3: It didn't matter though.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Like a lot of it came into fourth quarter too.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Yeah, but the biggest problem was the Eagles offense just
- 19:07Speaker 4: not going for it in the second half.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:09Speaker 4: And if you're gonna play conservative, if you're gonna open
- 19:13Speaker 4: up in the first half, conservative in the second half
- 19:15Speaker 4: because you're up, that's not how you win championships. And
- 19:18Speaker 4: that was really obvious tonight, Like just that foot to
- 19:22Speaker 4: the throat mentality which they had last year when they
- 19:25Speaker 4: had the tough offensive line, tough defensive line, like I
- 19:29Speaker 4: want to kill you kind of mentality.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's how they won the Super Bowl. It's
- 19:34Speaker 3: not there right now. And that's the.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Biggest bummer of the of the Eagles season, Like like
- 19:41Speaker 4: this was your rival, Like you should have absolutely like
- 19:45Speaker 4: stomped their faces in, stomp the like step on the throat, right,
- 19:49Speaker 4: and like just again, I not poopoo holes. This is
- 19:55Speaker 4: all Sia Yanni on me in my opinion, Like it's
- 19:59Speaker 4: just that's what they should have done this game. Like
- 20:03Speaker 4: it was on National TV, Tom Brady's talking, oh my god,
- 20:06Speaker 4: jibber jabber in at the storm. I actually started listening
- 20:09Speaker 4: to the radio to Maryland Mike Quick But like, I
- 20:14Speaker 4: just just such a bummer of a game, because like
- 20:18Speaker 4: you had this, this was an obvious like kill this team, shootout,
- 20:23Speaker 4: just fucking throw it. Aj Brown is wide open every play.
- 20:26Speaker 4: DeVante Smith is wide open down the field. Oh and
- 20:29Speaker 4: this is not in the defense whatsoever?
- 20:31Speaker 3: You right?
- 20:31Speaker 4: Like DeVante Smith? We got to talk about him? Yes, yeah,
- 20:34Speaker 4: go ahead. This was all the all the Eagles offense
- 20:39Speaker 4: in the second half. The defense was tremendous. It did
- 20:42Speaker 4: enough to win. And the Cowboys are not scary at all?
- 20:45Speaker 4: Like what if we play them in the playoffs? I'm
- 20:47Speaker 4: not Are you afraid?
- 20:49Speaker 3: Like no, right, Like, come on.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Let's talk about Davante Smith too. Again, the playmakers on
- 21:00Speaker 1: this team did their jobs. I'm even gonna say Saquon
- 21:03Speaker 1: Barkley aside from the fumble, of course, I mean when
- 21:06Speaker 1: we get to the grades, that fumble not great in
- 21:10Speaker 1: terms of the timing of it. But you know what,
- 21:13Speaker 1: that fumble wouldn't have happened when and where it did
- 21:16Speaker 1: if it wasn't for a confluence of other things happening too,
- 21:21Speaker 1: you know, whether Xavier Gibson anyway, I'm all over the
- 21:26Speaker 1: place right now, because I wanted to get into Davante Smith.
- 21:30Speaker 1: You have skill players on this team that did their jobs.
- 21:34Speaker 1: That Davante Smith catch, that forty one yard catch in
- 21:39Speaker 1: the right before the half was amazing, an absurd, absurd
- 21:45Speaker 1: adjustment and catch by him. Some of the best body
- 21:50Speaker 1: control of a wide receiver that I think that I
- 21:53Speaker 1: have actually ever seen. He possibly has the best body
- 21:56Speaker 1: control of any wide receiver playing the game today. And
- 21:59Speaker 1: it just goes to show how critical he is for
- 22:01Speaker 1: this offense and how this Eagles team needs him out
- 22:05Speaker 1: there giving him more opportunities, yes, even more opportunities. He
- 22:10Speaker 1: did have eleven targets today, which I'm very happy about.
- 22:13Speaker 1: He came down with six balls, but eleven opportunities. Hell,
- 22:17Speaker 1: I say, give him more, Give him a couple more,
- 22:19Speaker 1: Give aj Brown a couple more as well. Go up
- 22:22Speaker 1: and grab those fifty to fifty balls because they're going
- 22:26Speaker 1: to come down with them nine times out of ten.
- 22:30Speaker 1: And why they didn't run the ball on third and
- 22:33Speaker 1: twelve there, That's what it was. It was third and twelve.
- 22:35Speaker 1: We've constantly seen them running the ball on third and
- 22:38Speaker 1: long and they can't run the ball, So what do
- 22:42Speaker 1: you do you have to get the ball to your
- 22:44Speaker 1: great players and receivers like Devontae Smith and aj Brown?
- 22:49Speaker 1: This seems simple, like some dope, I'm in my stupid
- 22:52Speaker 1: little studio here. You're in your basement. You know this
- 22:56Speaker 1: is common sense?
- 22:58Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, the ceiling panels, I know, look at them.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I see it. Got the palette out of there with
- 23:06Speaker 1: the flowers around it. It looks good. We could spoke
- 23:09Speaker 1: as ai.
- 23:11Speaker 3: We get hockey going on.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I know, I know we'll get to that at the
- 23:14Speaker 1: end of the show, end on a positive note. But really,
- 23:17Speaker 1: I'm where I'm going with this is use your skill
- 23:21Speaker 1: position players because they're that damn good and they completely
- 23:25Speaker 1: got away from it in the second half and it
- 23:27Speaker 1: was really enraging.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Yeah, like layer defensive players, like the skill players, like
- 23:33Speaker 4: do you do the thing right? Yes, and you have
- 23:37Speaker 4: you probably have the best maybe besides the Cowboys, Like
- 23:41Speaker 4: you have the two best wide receiver tandems in the league. Yeah,
- 23:46Speaker 4: just a couple of times, like just like in basketball
- 23:49Speaker 4: fast break, throw the fucking ball to them, like just
- 23:52Speaker 4: let them go, especially with DeVante Smith. That guy's a
- 23:55Speaker 4: monster on the long throw. We saw in the Super Bowl,
- 23:58Speaker 4: like two or three times a game. Just let it
- 24:01Speaker 4: fucking go and it can happen once tonight.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Yeah, you can adjust his body and do anything you
- 24:07Speaker 1: really can. It's incredible seen it.
- 24:10Speaker 4: He's a twig like me, He's a cinema stick leg
- 24:13Speaker 4: quick twig, and it's just like, just throw to him,
- 24:17Speaker 4: see what happens if you're probably gonna get a PI
- 24:22Speaker 4: if he doesn't catch it.
- 24:23Speaker 3: Yeah, such a bummer this game.
- 24:27Speaker 4: Like they have the best offense maybe in football, but
- 24:32Speaker 4: they're not like letting go. And that's that's the hardest
- 24:35Speaker 4: part of watching this thing.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Squander. Yeah, they're just squandering it all right, But you
- 24:39Speaker 1: got any break or you got any more themes before
- 24:41Speaker 1: we head to the break real quick, and then we
- 24:43Speaker 1: get to the grades any.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Other should have won, the should have won.
- 24:49Speaker 4: I have never done a post game show where like
- 24:51Speaker 4: I had all my talking points in the first half
- 24:54Speaker 4: on my phone on my notes. I was like, oh,
- 24:56Speaker 4: this is zuzy, and and then the second half happens,
- 24:58Speaker 4: I'm like, fuck, this.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Whole thing just shifted, Like yeah, tailor two halves, tailor
- 25:03Speaker 1: two halves for sure. All right, we are going to
- 25:06Speaker 1: take a break. But first, if you're watching on YouTube,
- 25:09Speaker 1: like and subscribe to us. Can also hit that bell
- 25:12Speaker 1: to be notified when we post new videos. We're gonna
- 25:15Speaker 1: be back in a bit. Stick with us. We got
- 25:17Speaker 1: our grades coming. We'll be back in just a bit.
- 25:21Speaker 1: All right, we are back again. The Philadelphia Eagles losing
- 25:24Speaker 1: to the Dallas Cowboys by a score of twenty four
- 25:26Speaker 1: to twenty one. There now eight and three on the season.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Gonna do some grades here. Jalen Hurts. He went twenty
- 25:34Speaker 1: seven to thirty nine for two hundred and eighty nine
- 25:36Speaker 1: yards a touchdown. He averaged seven point four yards per attempt.
- 25:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna be giving Jalen Hurts this week a B plus.
- 25:44Speaker 1: What do you give them as? Okay, really good tonight.
- 25:48Speaker 4: He didn't make any mistakes to like screw the team
- 25:51Speaker 4: over whatsoever. And I think after this week, if like
- 25:55Speaker 4: d Gun Marcus Hayes all the ESPN bullshit, he did
- 26:00Speaker 4: everything he could do to win this game.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Hey, minus is great. Yeah, that's what I'm moving mine
- 26:04Speaker 1: up too. Yeah yeah, yeah, no, no, go ahead, yeah
- 26:07Speaker 1: he did, he did. He told the Gun you know what,
- 26:10Speaker 1: go shut your mouth and just you know you and
- 26:14Speaker 1: Marcus he's gun on the treadmill.
- 26:18Speaker 4: De gun White, you're next to the slot machines at
- 26:20Speaker 4: the Parks casino, Like that's your career now. And Marcus
- 26:25Speaker 4: Hayes sweating his nuts off on the biker shorts. He was,
- 26:31Speaker 4: he was really good tonight and and his his coaching
- 26:34Speaker 4: staff did not help him whatsoever.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Yep, yep the biker Shorts. Folks, go back and listen
- 26:38Speaker 1: to the last show. Eric loves telling that story. When
- 26:40Speaker 1: he used to live there down in Philly and he
- 26:42Speaker 1: used to see Marcus Hayes at the gym.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Just these gross hairy legs, no bulge on the chest,
- 26:49Speaker 4: the treadmill.
- 26:51Speaker 2: All right.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Running backs again, running backs totaled in this game thirty
- 26:57Speaker 1: freaking yards on eleven carries. But the offensive line completely
- 27:02Speaker 1: sucked tonight in terms of the run blocking. I'm just
- 27:04Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna give the running backs and Barkley with
- 27:07Speaker 1: his fumble, I mean, I'm gonna I'm gonna give them
- 27:10Speaker 1: a C minus.
- 27:10Speaker 2: You know what do you give them?
- 27:14Speaker 4: Uh? Give them a C plus? Honestly, like eighteen attempts
- 27:18Speaker 4: carry attempts.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Yeah, like seven of those being being Jalen Hurts.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:24Speaker 4: So like we're talking like you're up twenty one nothing
- 27:28Speaker 4: in the first half.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Why are you not?
- 27:30Speaker 4: And then the offensive line was like kind of shaky tonight,
- 27:32Speaker 4: but like, why not running the ball? More like try
- 27:35Speaker 4: to run, like try to pound their defensive line. Who's
- 27:38Speaker 4: better now? Because all the trades they made and like
- 27:41Speaker 4: try and like trying to make a dent into that
- 27:44Speaker 4: like that that's kind of a bummer and it's classicating
- 27:48Speaker 4: to read. Like when he would lose games back in
- 27:50Speaker 4: the day, run the ball for twelve times and throw
- 27:53Speaker 4: for forty yea, it kind of felt like tonight that
- 27:56Speaker 4: that's what they did in the second half.
- 27:58Speaker 1: All right, let's move to the receiver. Receivers this week,
- 28:01Speaker 1: My god, two hundred and eighty nine total yards again,
- 28:04Speaker 1: Aj Brown doing his job. DeVante Smith six receptions for
- 28:08Speaker 1: eighty nine yards. He did his job. Dallas Goddard. I
- 28:11Speaker 1: wish they had gotten him more involved. He was only
- 28:13Speaker 1: targeted two times, came down with both balls for twenty yards.
- 28:17Speaker 1: And they got some other guys involved here and there
- 28:20Speaker 1: with one and two catches here and there, whether it
- 28:22Speaker 1: was Grant cal Katara, Darius Cooper, Xavier Gibson as well.
- 28:26Speaker 1: So I'm giving the receivers this week in a overall,
- 28:30Speaker 1: I'm giving them an A. They did their jobs, They
- 28:32Speaker 1: did what they were supposed to do for the most
- 28:34Speaker 1: part in this game.
- 28:34Speaker 2: What do you give them?
- 28:37Speaker 3: Definitely A.
- 28:39Speaker 4: Just didn't happen in the second half unfortunately, But I
- 28:42Speaker 4: don't put that in them at all.
- 28:43Speaker 3: That's all the coaching staff.
- 28:45Speaker 1: All right, let's move to the offensive line.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Geez.
- 28:48Speaker 1: I mean, pass protection not horrendous, but it was not great.
- 28:52Speaker 1: The run blocking was just terrible. Offensive line is getting
- 28:56Speaker 1: a D minus this week?
- 28:57Speaker 2: For me? What do you give them?
- 29:01Speaker 3: A D?
- 29:01Speaker 4: It's kind of sad that, like a what is he
- 29:05Speaker 4: thirty three years old? Lane Johnson thirty four?
- 29:08Speaker 1: Yeah, he's right around there. Yeah.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Like if he's not around, like this offensive line falls apart. Yeah,
- 29:15Speaker 4: it's kind of an an indictment on their drafting.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he's thirty five actually, yeah.
- 29:22Speaker 4: Like we can't keep we can't keep relying on him
- 29:25Speaker 4: year after year, like it was Lane Johnson's back.
- 29:27Speaker 3: He's best tackle in football.
- 29:29Speaker 4: He'll be thirty six next year, guys, So like you
- 29:32Speaker 4: have to eventually like draft his replacement.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Yeah, which happened? Whatsoever?
- 29:37Speaker 4: So and it's very obviously when he's not in the game,
- 29:40Speaker 4: We're We're gonna shitload of trouble.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Absolutely, It's what r. J. Jocho was saying this past
- 29:45Speaker 1: week on the Opposition Territory Pod. All right, move over
- 29:48Speaker 1: to the defense defensive line. Look, defense is gonna get
- 29:51Speaker 1: some glowing grades for me because they absolutely kept this
- 29:56Speaker 1: team in this game. They continuously douce Vic. Fangio is
- 30:01Speaker 1: basically daddy right now. That's what he is. He's daddy.
- 30:04Speaker 1: He's he's father. You know, he's daddy as we're moving forward,
- 30:09Speaker 1: because he's got to pick up the pieces of Kevin
- 30:11Speaker 1: Petullo and Nick Sirianni and what they leave out there
- 30:15Speaker 1: on the field. In fact, do you know what they
- 30:17Speaker 1: left on the field when you took George for a walk?
- 30:20Speaker 1: The thing that came out of George's butthole, That's what
- 30:23Speaker 1: Sirianni and Batulo.
- 30:31Speaker 4: I mean, how bad do you feel for Vangio at
- 30:34Speaker 4: this point?
- 30:34Speaker 2: By like, he's daddy.
- 30:37Speaker 4: He's got this young guy who's the offensive coordinator. Now
- 30:40Speaker 4: he's up in the booth, Fangio, there's gotta be some
- 30:44Speaker 4: hardcore resentment from him to this young young he's forty four,
- 30:49Speaker 4: he's younger than us. Yeah, but like I'm sure Fanjie
- 30:54Speaker 4: is drawing plays up like this, Goddamn shipthead. I have
- 30:58Speaker 4: all these great plays lined up, but you just fuck
- 31:01Speaker 4: me in the ass. Yes, sorry, yeah, burn out again,
- 31:05Speaker 4: my god.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Look, I'm gonna give the the Eagles defensive front. Like
- 31:11Speaker 1: I said, I think they did a great job. It
- 31:12Speaker 1: doesn't say it necessarily on the stat sheet. There's one
- 31:15Speaker 1: only one sack on on on Dak Prescott. There were
- 31:20Speaker 1: six quarterback hits, two tackles for a loss, four passes defended.
- 31:24Speaker 1: But when it comes to this, this line, they were
- 31:28Speaker 1: they were getting in the backfield, they weren't necessarily getting home.
- 31:31Speaker 1: But the defensive line, I'm gonna give them a B
- 31:33Speaker 1: plus this week. What do you give them?
- 31:35Speaker 3: Seem great?
- 31:36Speaker 4: I mean thirty one carries for one hundred and twenty
- 31:38Speaker 4: five yards four yards per per per carry for the
- 31:41Speaker 4: per carry for the Dallas rushing team. Yeah, yeah, like
- 31:47Speaker 4: this pretty standard. Like that's plenty. That's plenty enough to
- 31:51Speaker 4: your team to allow your team to win. Like if
- 31:53Speaker 4: your offense would have stepped up and scored that that
- 31:56Speaker 4: stat means nothing.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Right Yeah, so yeah, absolutely all right, line Zach Bonn
- 32:02Speaker 1: and Nikobe Dean as always. I mean, they're they're gonna
- 32:05Speaker 1: get an A from this this week. Zach Bond is
- 32:09Speaker 1: just an amazing linebacker, and and Nikobe Dean everywhere tonight, Yes, yes,
- 32:14Speaker 1: all over the field. Yes, God, Nikobe Dean just absolutely
- 32:18Speaker 1: steam rolling Javonte Williams on that sack. Holy shit, that
- 32:22Speaker 1: was fantastic. He was doing it for most of the night.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Deck was getting out the ball after that sack. So
- 32:27Speaker 1: I'm giving I'm giving an A to the linebackers. What
- 32:30Speaker 1: do you give them?
- 32:31Speaker 4: When's the last time we had like three A grade
- 32:35Speaker 4: linebackers on this team. Now, it's gotta be like eighty
- 32:38Speaker 4: eighty nine exactly, awesome, Like the Minister of Defense was there, Yeah, yep,
- 32:45Speaker 4: it's a.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Hey all right, secondary boy, the injuries really hurt, especially
- 32:50Speaker 1: towards the end of the game. This is a tough
- 32:52Speaker 1: one to grade. You know, the depth comes in. They
- 32:55Speaker 1: got to step up in some way, and it was
- 32:58Speaker 1: tough with a Sydney Brown certainly coming in when you
- 33:02Speaker 1: lose a Dori Jackson as well. He's not the greatest
- 33:05Speaker 1: cornerback in the world, but still last week, you know,
- 33:08Speaker 1: he played a really good game against the Lions and
- 33:13Speaker 1: losing him was tough, So it's kind of a bizarre
- 33:17Speaker 1: grade for me, but I'm gonna give them a B
- 33:19Speaker 1: minus considering Yeah, yeah, Ceedee Lamb only had seventy five
- 33:24Speaker 1: yards in this game. George Pickens did have one hundred
- 33:26Speaker 1: and forty six yards and a touchdown and average sixteen
- 33:29Speaker 1: point two yards per reception. But you know, I'm gonna
- 33:32Speaker 1: give them overall a B could be like a B
- 33:35Speaker 1: minus area just because they were asked to do a lot.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Dak Prescott has been a damn good quarterback, to be
- 33:43Speaker 1: honest with you, and he put up some yards, but
- 33:46Speaker 1: they had a lot of challenges. I think they rose
- 33:49Speaker 1: to the occasion a lot in this game, So I'm
- 33:52Speaker 1: gonna give him a B minus. The secondary, what do
- 33:54Speaker 1: you give them?
- 33:56Speaker 3: C minus?
- 33:57Speaker 4: I thought this was like the worst spot the defense tonight.
- 34:02Speaker 4: This is really one of the first games Queenya. Mitchell
- 34:05Speaker 4: was not good. And I'm a huge I'm a huge
- 34:08Speaker 4: Mitchell fan. I bought his shirt. He's up it's upstairs.
- 34:14Speaker 4: But I just thought Pickens and Seed, Lamb and Ferguson
- 34:17Speaker 4: in particular just like kind of dice them up like
- 34:21Speaker 4: and Mitchell was kind of like lost half there a
- 34:23Speaker 4: couple of times I noticed for the first time in
- 34:27Speaker 4: his career, no offense to him. He's a second year player.
- 34:30Speaker 4: But I just thought in the second half, like there
- 34:33Speaker 4: were some there was some red alarms going off, going
- 34:37Speaker 4: off in my head. I was like, this is like
- 34:42Speaker 4: the Cowboys are not the best team passing wise, but
- 34:46Speaker 4: like quinnam looked lost. I thought Cooper Dejan was good,
- 34:51Speaker 4: but like, I don't know. It was the first time
- 34:53Speaker 4: I was like, I don't like what's happening in front
- 34:56Speaker 4: of me on TV. But Mitchell, Mitchell not look great
- 35:00Speaker 4: was very concerning because he's our best cornerback.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Okay, I feel you, all right, let's get over to
- 35:06Speaker 1: uh the offense, defense and special teams. Special teams he
- 35:11Speaker 1: got Jake Elliott missing a fifty six yard field goal.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Xavier Gibson, of course, with that fumble in the fourth quarter,
- 35:17Speaker 1: about five minutes left to go in the game, took
- 35:19Speaker 1: the He ended up taking the ball at the two
- 35:22Speaker 1: yard line. For God's sake, should have let it go
- 35:25Speaker 1: in the end zone. We wouldn't have had that fucking
- 35:28Speaker 1: situation at all.
- 35:29Speaker 3: And you should have.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Should have been cut. The guys should be cut after that.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Look Britain Covey is on the practice squad if you
- 35:37Speaker 1: didn't know, folks, and uh, you know, let's bring Briton
- 35:40Speaker 1: Kobe back up because there's no way Xavier Gibson should
- 35:43Speaker 1: be on this team after that debacle. So Brandon Man, actually,
- 35:47Speaker 1: believe it or not, was like the MVP of special
- 35:50Speaker 1: teams tonight. Considering his freaking punts he had. He did
- 35:53Speaker 1: average fifty yards per punt, but man, he had a
- 35:56Speaker 1: seventy six yard or I think at one point he
- 35:59Speaker 1: had a fifty eight yarder. Braidon Man has got a
- 36:02Speaker 1: freaking damn good leg. So I'm gonna give special teams
- 36:06Speaker 1: this week a C because especially like Xavier Gibson and
- 36:11Speaker 1: Jake Elliott crap in the bed CE C minus right
- 36:15Speaker 1: around there.
- 36:15Speaker 2: What do you give them?
- 36:17Speaker 3: It's a C.
- 36:18Speaker 4: I mean, like, thank goodness they weren't involved in like
- 36:20Speaker 4: the end of the game, honestly, because if the Eagles
- 36:24Speaker 4: needed a field goal to win the game, We're really
- 36:26Speaker 4: nervous after Jake Elliott's lost or miss Xavier Gibson.
- 36:32Speaker 1: That was at the end of the game. I was
- 36:33Speaker 1: like five minutes left in the end.
- 36:34Speaker 3: Of the game. Yeah, I'm just saying like.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Like right at the end, right at the end.
- 36:38Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, if he was at the end, Gibson,
- 36:42Speaker 4: go home. We don't ever have to see you again.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Yep.
- 36:44Speaker 1: So yeah, all right, Vic Fango, Daddy, I'm sorry, I'm
- 36:48Speaker 1: gonna call him daddy, daddy, So yeah, daddy, I'm giving daddy.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Given the challenges again with the injuries, it's gonna be
- 36:58Speaker 1: B plus a minus for me this week because look,
- 37:02Speaker 1: there was only so much the defense could do in
- 37:04Speaker 1: this game. They the Eagles were up twenty one to
- 37:07Speaker 1: nothing for God's sake for the majority of this game,
- 37:11Speaker 1: and the defense just it was ben but don't break man,
- 37:15Speaker 1: and they broke toward It's in the in the fourth quarter.
- 37:18Speaker 1: But I really don't put it on Vic Fangio. I'm
- 37:21Speaker 1: gonna get Fangio like an a minus. What do you
- 37:23Speaker 1: give him a minus?
- 37:25Speaker 3: Absolutely?
- 37:26Speaker 4: Like I was at a soccer tournament this whole weekend
- 37:29Speaker 4: with my son and he's on defense. They annihilated the
- 37:33Speaker 4: team on defense. Their offense did shit. Yeah, yeah, it
- 37:37Speaker 4: was really frustrating. My son was knocking kids over, taking
- 37:40Speaker 4: the ball away, kick it up the line for offense
- 37:45Speaker 4: and like it went went nowhere. It's just like and
- 37:48Speaker 4: it came right back at him and so frustrated. I'm
- 37:52Speaker 4: assuming like the Eagles offense is the same way, like
- 37:56Speaker 4: what like like the Eagles defense, like, holy shit, guys, yeah,
- 38:01Speaker 4: second half we're trying on nothing.
- 38:02Speaker 3: What are you doing?
- 38:03Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 38:04Speaker 3: Yeah, like killed them, kill them? Yes, Yeah, it's rough.
- 38:09Speaker 1: I am going to give the Eagles offense as we
- 38:11Speaker 1: move over to Kevin Patulo Nick Sirianni, I mean, I'm
- 38:14Speaker 1: just gonna give him a D. I mean, we can't
- 38:16Speaker 1: we can't not recognize the first three drives of the
- 38:20Speaker 1: game that produce three touchdowns. We can't not. But I mean,
- 38:23Speaker 1: from an overall perspective, D performance because take your foot
- 38:27Speaker 1: off the gas, you get conservative. We're seeing a week
- 38:29Speaker 1: after week after week when this team and this offense,
- 38:32Speaker 1: they're up ten, fourteen points, just let their foot off
- 38:34Speaker 1: the gas and let the other team back into the game.
- 38:36Speaker 4: It's a D for sure. It's the NFL like it's
- 38:41Speaker 4: a killer league. We watched it in the Super Bowl.
- 38:44Speaker 4: They should have like absolutely attacked every drive in the
- 38:47Speaker 4: second half. They the Cowboys were down, the fans were booing,
- 38:50Speaker 4: they were not interested for them to let them back
- 38:54Speaker 4: in it's just it's.
- 38:57Speaker 3: It's what's the term?
- 38:58Speaker 4: Like it's like malprac this malpodcast, thank you, Like how
- 39:02Speaker 4: do you let that team back in?
- 39:03Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 39:04Speaker 4: After you ship, after you ship all with the Chiefs
- 39:07Speaker 4: in the super Bowl like that. That that's I always
- 39:09Speaker 4: go back there because that was the ultimate, Like we
- 39:12Speaker 4: got him, I'm gonna kill him. Sirianni's a man, but
- 39:16Speaker 4: he hasn't been there like that at all. So we
- 39:20Speaker 4: talked about poopo holes. But like Sirianni too, like I'm
- 39:23Speaker 4: not sure where he's at this year.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Yeah. Absolutely, Look, if you are watching on YouTube, you're
- 39:29Speaker 1: gonna see our social media sites up here. Feel free

- 39:53Speaker 1: the good news that we are going to end on, folks,
- 39:56Speaker 1: is that when Eric comes on the podcast anymore, we
- 39:59Speaker 1: might actually be able to talk some flyers and some hockey.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Why Why because Eric Sun is bringing him into the fold,
- 40:06Speaker 1: bringing him into the world of hockey that much more.
- 40:10Speaker 1: Where an actual hockey goal has been constructed. Right over
- 40:16Speaker 1: in Eric's look at that. That is a hockey goal
- 40:19Speaker 1: that's been constructed. It looks like a fireplace, folks, but
- 40:23Speaker 1: it is a hockey goal. And I love the like
- 40:27Speaker 1: like how the goal is a little bit smaller, it
- 40:29Speaker 1: means more precision in terms of the shots. He's going
- 40:32Speaker 1: to learn how to do that. I love the fact
- 40:35Speaker 1: that we are going to be able to talk more
- 40:37Speaker 1: hockey on this podcast with Eric Leonard folks aka Edgecombe Stan.
- 40:41Speaker 1: I love it.
- 40:43Speaker 4: We got a TV going here for the Flyers game. Yes,
- 40:46Speaker 4: that's what the goal is. Yes, we got we got
- 40:48Speaker 4: a puck. We have two sticks down here, he bought.
- 40:51Speaker 4: Oh yeah, and we're gonna we're gonna play tonight and
- 40:54Speaker 4: we're done here.
- 40:55Speaker 3: I love it.
- 40:56Speaker 4: Love it went back here, so yeah, I love it.
- 41:01Speaker 3: I'm a hockey guy. Now what the fuck?
- 41:02Speaker 1: Yes, folks, the official announcement that we're gonna be putting
- 41:06Speaker 1: Flyers talk on s. He's so befuddled that the mic
- 41:12Speaker 1: just went there. Oh my gosh, holy cow, what happened?
- 41:18Speaker 1: All right, we're gonna end this postgame show. The Philadelphia
- 41:20Speaker 1: Eagles again losing to the Dallas Cowboys. Unfortunate today lost, yes,
- 41:25Speaker 1: by a score of twenty four to twenty one, down
- 41:29Speaker 1: at AT and T Stadium in Dallas. Eagles are now eight
- 41:32Speaker 1: free on the season, still a top of the NFC East.
- 41:36Speaker 1: As we are recording this, Jeff Warren, he is Eric
- 41:39Speaker 1: Leonard aka Edgecomb Stan. Take care of folks, and we
- 41:43Speaker 1: will catch you next time.
