- 0:05Speaker 1: Launch Control, this is Houston.
- 0:06Speaker 2: We are going to launch. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
- 0:11Speaker 3: That's Chris X.
- 0:17Speaker 4: Radio.
- 0:17Speaker 5: Chris X Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 6: What we need right now is a clear message to
- 0:23Speaker 6: the people of this country.
- 0:25Speaker 7: This message must.
- 0:26Speaker 8: Be read in every newspaper, heard on every radio, seen
- 0:29Speaker 8: on every television.
- 0:30Speaker 2: This message must resound throughout the entire interlink.
- 0:34Speaker 9: And now, your host.
- 0:35Speaker 10: I believe this is going to be our finest hour.
- 0:37Speaker 11: Chris X.
- 1:03Speaker 12: Man, is it already Monday again? Is it already here?
- 1:06Speaker 12: I think it is.
- 1:07Speaker 11: Oh, boy.
- 1:10Speaker 9: Man, this is.
- 1:13Speaker 12: We're 50 days away from the midterms, kids. 50 days.
- 1:18Speaker 12: That's it. In other words, we are almost there. And
- 1:23Speaker 12: right now, it's not looking great. I'll just say that.
- 1:25Speaker 12: I'll just get us ready. Good afternoon. Welcome to Chris
- 1:28Speaker 12: X Radio. I am the aforementioned X-Man. Glad to have
- 1:32Speaker 12: you here with us as we assume control of the broadcast.
- 1:35Speaker 12: We will maintain control of this broadcast for the next
- 1:39Speaker 12: two hours. Of course, we come bearing that gift beyond
- 1:41Speaker 12: price that is almost free, ladies and gentlemen. We bring
- 1:45Speaker 12: you the spirit of talk radio. And as always, even
- 1:50Speaker 12: on another Manic Monday here in the Trumpocalypse, it's free,
- 1:55Speaker 12: almost free. You just got to wait through a commercial
- 1:57Speaker 12: or two. That's about it. So once again, we have
- 2:00Speaker 12: assumed control. We'll maintain control here for the next couple
- 2:02Speaker 12: of hours, at least to do our best to maintain control.
- 2:06Speaker 12: Glad to have you here with us on our Manic
- 2:08Speaker 12: Monday edition of the program. It is one of those
- 2:13Speaker 12: crazy days, to say the least. Dear Lord, is it crazy.
- 2:19Speaker 12: It doesn't get any less crazy as we get closer
- 2:21Speaker 12: to the midterms. In fact, it doesn't get any less
- 2:24Speaker 12: crazy as we do anything in this day and age
- 2:27Speaker 12: because everything's crazy now. That's just the way it goes.
- 2:31Speaker 12: By the way, we're going to catch up with Jonathan Covey,
- 2:33Speaker 12: the director of Texas Public Policy for Texas Values here
- 2:37Speaker 12: at the bottom of the hour. So stick around for that.
- 2:40Speaker 12: We'll talk a little bit about Texas Values and then,
- 2:42Speaker 12: of course, Texas Faith Fest coming up on Saturday, September
- 2:46Speaker 12: 26th from 9 to 5 p.m. at the Park Social
- 2:49Speaker 12: Special Event Center in Cedar Park just outside of Austin. Remember,
- 2:54Speaker 12: students and pastors can go. It's absolutely free. Tickets for
- 2:58Speaker 12: everybody else are just $ 39, which includes lunch, which is
- 3:03Speaker 12: last year, and I think it's going to be the
- 3:04Speaker 12: same this year, was Rudy's Barbecue. I just remember it
- 3:11Speaker 12: was funny because I was so busy getting interviews and
- 3:13Speaker 12: doing things. I'll be there. I'll be up there getting
- 3:17Speaker 12: interviews for the day and checking out the events. The
- 3:21Speaker 12: keynote address is going to be brought by Brandon Gill,
- 3:24Speaker 12: which is, like I said, he's this guy. It's like
- 3:28Speaker 12: every week he has something that's more great, has another statement.
- 3:32Speaker 12: And whereas James Telefrico, Telecreepshow.com. every week. It's almost every day.
- 3:41Speaker 12: Now we find another thing that he said that is
- 3:44Speaker 12: contrary to the campaign he is running now. And yet
- 3:47Speaker 12: we still have people that will try to call into
- 3:49Speaker 12: this radio program and convince you that he's a moderate
- 3:52Speaker 12: and they damn well know he's not a moderate. He
- 3:55Speaker 12: is a hardcore leftist freak show and they don't care
- 3:59Speaker 12: because they hate Republicans and they'll, they'll elect these hardcore
- 4:03Speaker 12: leftist freak shows in every time I've given the opportunity.
- 4:07Speaker 12: And finally, we're starting to see some ads for Ken Paxton.
- 4:12Speaker 12: I read earlier today something like a $ 51 million ad
- 4:16Speaker 12: buy is now going in. So good. We can offset
- 4:18Speaker 12: some of that unfettered, you know, adpocalypse we got with
- 4:23Speaker 12: the James Tallarico ads, which we're still getting, which are ridiculous. Anyway,
- 4:28Speaker 12: Jonathan Covey will join us here in just a bit,
- 4:30Speaker 12: and we'll talk with him once again on your Manic
- 4:33Speaker 12: Monday edition of the program. Okay, so a lot to
- 4:36Speaker 12: get into. I've got a lot of audio today. In fact,
- 4:39Speaker 12: because we didn't do a 9-11 show on Friday. So
- 4:42Speaker 12: somebody who I very seldom play audio from, because I'm
- 4:45Speaker 12: not a big fan of Bill Maher, had one of
- 4:49Speaker 12: the most wonderful takes on 9-11, which led into a
- 4:53Speaker 12: discussion of Hamas and which could not have been better.
- 4:57Speaker 12: It's very long. I'm going to play it. But that
- 5:00Speaker 12: was on Friday. President Trump on Sunday dismissed warnings from
- 5:06Speaker 12: leading AI executives, including Anthropix, Dario Amode. Dario Amode. I'm
- 5:14Speaker 12: not sure how you pronounce his name. Open AI Sam
- 5:17Speaker 12: Altman and Elon Musk, who urged a slower pace of
- 5:22Speaker 12: AI development. President Trump's response was, whoever wins, AI wins, okay?
- 5:30Speaker 12: That's it. He was speaking from the sidelines at the
- 5:35Speaker 12: Irish Open Golf Tournament in Dunbarg, Ireland, okay? Dunbarg, Ireland.
- 5:42Speaker 12: They were doing a lot of beer drinking, not President Trump,
- 5:44Speaker 12: but everybody else was. That's all there is to do
- 5:48Speaker 12: is apparently play golf and drink beer in Ireland. My
- 5:55Speaker 12: favorite story of the weekend, for a completely different reason,
- 5:58Speaker 12: President Trump has scrapped the 10% tariff on all Irish
- 6:01Speaker 12: whiskey as a parting gift to Ireland. So the Irish
- 6:08Speaker 12: are like, yay, we can sell Irish whiskey, which I
- 6:12Speaker 12: guess that comes to America. I guess the whiskey drinkers
- 6:15Speaker 12: unite here in America. I'm not a whiskey drinker, so
- 6:20Speaker 12: I don't know. I don't know the difference between Irish
- 6:22Speaker 12: whiskey and Or the Canadian crown, as they're saying. Somebody
- 6:26Speaker 12: was like telling me, I'll go with the Irish whiskey
- 6:29Speaker 12: over the Canadian crown any day. I don't drink any
- 6:33Speaker 12: of it. I don't know. So we got that. President
- 6:36Speaker 12: Trump also was slamming Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and New York
- 6:43Speaker 12: City Mayor Zoran Mamdani for appearing to be laughing during
- 6:47Speaker 12: the reading of victims' names at the 9-11 memorial, the
- 6:51Speaker 12: 9-1-1 memorial, calling their behavior terrible and inappropriate. I think
- 6:56Speaker 12: it's terrible. I think it's pretty terrible as well. It
- 7:02Speaker 12: was just a quick camera snippet. Apparently they were supposedly
- 7:06Speaker 12: just she was greeting him and she was laughing but
- 7:10Speaker 12: she's an idiot and he's a dirt bag so she's
- 7:14Speaker 12: an idiot and a dirt bag uh so there you
- 7:17Speaker 12: go so we got that wesley hunt who has newly
- 7:19Speaker 12: been appointed ambassador to the kingdom of saudi arabia that's
- 7:24Speaker 12: kind of interesting um That just came down. And once again,
- 7:28Speaker 12: Bill Maher had a striking new rules segment on his
- 7:31Speaker 12: real-time show HBO to recognize the 25th anniversary of 9-11.
- 7:37Speaker 12: It was titled Clash of the Civilizations. Sometimes Bill Maher
- 7:41Speaker 12: really gets it. This is one of those times. So
- 7:44Speaker 12: I'll play that audio for you coming up. Also, once again,
- 7:47Speaker 12: we have another clip from James Telefrico. He said, parents
- 7:53Speaker 12: who deny children's identity are abusive. and thinks possibly they
- 7:57Speaker 12: should maybe have their kids taken from them. This is
- 8:02Speaker 12: a guy who is trying to parade as a moderate
- 8:04Speaker 12: in Texas now. This is a guy who's trying to claim, no, no, no,
- 8:07Speaker 12: he's just like the rest of us.
- 8:08Speaker 14: There are some folks that would think that if you
- 8:11Speaker 14: deny your child's gender identity, that that's incredibly harmful. And
- 8:16Speaker 14: whether or not we can label it with the term abuse,
- 8:18Speaker 14: I mean, it's abusive for sure.
- 8:21Speaker 11: It is?
- 8:22Speaker 14: That's where I think some of us have concerns, and
- 8:24Speaker 14: I don't want to speak for other members.
- 8:25Speaker 13: Yeah, are you suggesting in order to say that it
- 8:29Speaker 13: should include a person's willingness or unwillingness to acknowledge a
- 8:32Speaker 13: child's gender identity?
- 8:34Speaker 11: Or should it be silent.
- 8:35Speaker 13: As to whether that is abuse?
- 8:37Speaker 14: My just concerns ruling it out as not being abused,
- 8:41Speaker 14: I think, is dangerous and could certainly harm some of
- 8:45Speaker 14: our most vulnerable kids in the state.
- 8:47Speaker 12: These are the psychopaths trying to take over society. He
- 8:50Speaker 12: is a psychopath. At the minimum, a sociopath. A big
- 8:54Speaker 12: fan of drag queens. I can't remember. Alyssa something is
- 8:59Speaker 12: his favorite drag queen. Somebody asked him that question. This
- 9:02Speaker 12: guy's a weirdo who's obsessed with trans children. And he
- 9:06Speaker 12: thinks it should be labeled as abuse if parents don't
- 9:09Speaker 12: want to take their advice of a nine-year-old saying, I'm
- 9:13Speaker 12: now a girl. Because if the parents were, it was,
- 9:16Speaker 12: was it Kurt Schlichter who wrote, I can't remember if
- 9:20Speaker 12: it was him or whatever he wrote.
- 9:22Speaker 11: You know what?
- 9:23Speaker 12: When I was nine years old, I wanted to be
- 9:24Speaker 12: a T-Rex, but my parents didn't trans me into a dinosaur, right?
- 9:29Speaker 12: Because you don't take advice of children. And this clown
- 9:31Speaker 12: also had a statement about how America should be run
- 9:34Speaker 12: like a kindergarten class. Because aren't we all just big kindergartners? No,
- 9:38Speaker 12: you are. You're a complete weirdo, James Talafrico. So every
- 9:44Speaker 12: week we have a brand new clip from James Talafrico
- 9:47Speaker 12: being the Talafric show that he truly is. It is
- 9:52Speaker 12: time to peg that clown for what he actually is
- 9:55Speaker 12: and make sure that everybody knows it, that he is
- 9:57Speaker 12: not the moderate he is cosplaying.
- 10:00Speaker 11: Now.
- 10:01Speaker 12: He is nowhere close. I was going to play the audio,
- 10:04Speaker 12: but it was too long, between Dr. Tom Oliverson, a
- 10:07Speaker 12: representative from actually from my area of all places, talking
- 10:11Speaker 12: about not allowing doctors to trans children, hospitals, making it illegal,
- 10:16Speaker 12: which we did in Texas. And Talafrico was, do you
- 10:19Speaker 12: believe in the American Pediatric Society? And Oliverson was like, well, no,
- 10:25Speaker 12: he cleared it up pretty well. He was like, no,
- 10:28Speaker 12: they disagree with themselves. There is no real unity among
- 10:32Speaker 12: that group. And, but he was saying, this is just
- 10:34Speaker 12: a bad idea. We just shouldn't be doing this. He's like,
- 10:37Speaker 12: what if two doctors say so? What if three doctors
- 10:39Speaker 12: say so? And all of a sudden was saying, I
- 10:42Speaker 12: don't care how many doctors you get. You can get
- 10:44Speaker 12: doctors that will say anything. The reality is it is
- 10:47Speaker 12: a bad idea to mutilate the genitals of children, minor
- 10:51Speaker 12: children to emulate those of the opposite sex and cause
- 10:55Speaker 12: life changing. It's terrible. It's terrible. It does not take
- 11:02Speaker 12: a genius to understand that mutilating children before they're old
- 11:07Speaker 12: enough to drive, to vote, to smoke, to drink, you're
- 11:11Speaker 12: going to allow them children. And you're going to call
- 11:14Speaker 12: it child abuse if parents don't.
- 11:15Speaker 11: What?
- 11:18Speaker 12: James Talafrico is a complete and utter freako. Also, by
- 11:22Speaker 12: the way, we've got a red tide bloom among, I guess,
- 11:25Speaker 12: the Bolivar Peninsula. which is raising questions about what it
- 11:28Speaker 12: means for people who go visit the area and how
- 11:31Speaker 12: exposure could affect your health. It actually could. You can
- 11:33Speaker 12: breathe in some of that stuff, and it affects people differently,
- 11:36Speaker 12: and we can get into that. And then once again,
- 11:38Speaker 12: the Director of Public Policy for Texas Values, Jonathan Covey,
- 11:43Speaker 12: will join us at the bottom of the hour as well.
- 11:46Speaker 12: And then, like I said, I've got to find a
- 11:48Speaker 12: good segment to play the Bill Maher audio. It's a
- 11:53Speaker 12: long piece, so I'll make sure I do that probably
- 11:55Speaker 12: in the second hour, so stick around for that. You're
- 11:58Speaker 12: listening to Chris X Radio. We're just getting started. Let's
- 12:00Speaker 12: go ahead and take a break. I know I usually
- 12:02Speaker 12: go way longer. I'm going to behave myself and take
- 12:05Speaker 12: a break early. So Lukasz can be happy. He's like, what?
- 12:10Speaker 12: I didn't have to threaten you to take a break
- 12:12Speaker 12: for once. Can you handle me breaking at a normal time, Lukasz?
- 12:17Speaker 12: Is that okay?
- 12:18Speaker 9: It's fine.
- 12:19Speaker 15: Just don't open that package.
- 12:24Speaker 12: Oh, that's what that is. All right, you're listening to
- 12:28Speaker 12: Chris X Radio. We're just getting started. Got a lot
- 12:30Speaker 12: to get into. When we come back, we'll dig into
- 12:34Speaker 12: Trump and AI and then, of course... Scrapping the 10%
- 12:37Speaker 12: tariff on all Irish whiskey. I know Lukasz is probably
- 12:41Speaker 12: celebrating that one. This is a parting gift to Ireland.
- 12:45Speaker 12: There's actually more to it. Don't you go anywhere. Chris
- 12:49Speaker 12: X Radio is just getting started. We'll be right back.
- 12:56Speaker 9: Call Chris X Radio now.

- 13:20Speaker 17: This is Kevin O'Hara with O'Hara & Company Real Estate
- 13:22Speaker 17: in O'Hara Homes. I'm going to pose some questions that
- 13:25Speaker 17: you might want to research. Why was JFK assassinated? Did
- 13:28Speaker 17: we really land on the moon? Is Earth really a globe?
- 13:32Speaker 17: And is it the size they tell us it is?
- 13:34Speaker 17: Did 9-11 happen the way we were told? Are pharmaceutical
- 13:37Speaker 17: companies really there to cure diseases? Who are doctors trained by?
- 13:41Speaker 17: Did God create everything on Earth that we need to
- 13:44Speaker 17: stay healthy? Is fluoride in our water really helping us?
- 13:47Speaker 17: What are those long trails of clouds left by airplanes
- 13:50Speaker 17: and what's in them? Did all the astronauts die in
- 13:53Speaker 17: the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion? And is Elvis really dead?
- 13:57Speaker 17: I search answers for everything. And if you're searching for
- 14:00Speaker 17: a real estate company, give O'Hara Company Real Estate a
- 14:02Speaker 17: call at 281-373-3393. Again, that's 281-373-3393. Or look us up

- 15:03Speaker 19: right here on AM700 KSCV.
- 15:06Speaker 20: Hi, y'all. It's Kathy from Baker Mortgage. You know, with
- 15:09Speaker 20: all the scary stuff we've been through, it's still true
- 15:11Speaker 20: that timing is everything and the time to buy is now.
- 15:15Speaker 20: But don't go looking without a solid pre-approval in hand.
- 15:18Speaker 20: And this includes an application and a detailed discussion about
- 15:21Speaker 20: property taxes. If you didn't have the talk. You know,
- 15:25Speaker 20: about property taxes, you really don't know what you're pre-approved for.
- 15:29Speaker 20: That should make you wonder what else they may have
- 15:31Speaker 20: left out. Mortgages are personal. Let's face it, we're dealing
- 15:34Speaker 20: with your home and your money, and it doesn't get
- 15:36Speaker 20: much more personal than that. When it's the largest transaction
- 15:39Speaker 20: that most people will ever be involved in, imagine having
- 15:42Speaker 20: someone on your side looking out after you.
- 15:45Speaker 12: What a concept.
- 15:46Speaker 20: We audit your closing statement to make sure you're not
- 15:48Speaker 20: paying for things that you're not supposed to. Do you
- 15:51Speaker 20: think your big bank's going to do that? Probably not.
- 15:54Speaker 20: For all of your mortgage needs, call us at Baker Mortgage.
- 15:57Speaker 20: I promise you'll be glad you did. We're at 281-313-MOVE
- 16:01Speaker 20: or go directly to bakermortgage.com.
- 16:03Speaker 7: Equal housing lender. License number 263213.
- 16:06Speaker 9: The voice of Texas. The voice of reason. Chris X Radio.
- 16:29Speaker 12: I'm laughing at this for a reason. By the way,
- 16:31Speaker 12: for those that are listening on social media, I don't
- 16:33Speaker 12: know if you can hear the song, but it's I'm
- 16:35Speaker 12: Broken by Pantera. For some reason over the weekend, I
- 16:39Speaker 12: don't know why, Beavis and Butthead started trending. And I
- 16:43Speaker 12: guess it's because of all of the digital rights or whatever.
- 16:47Speaker 12: It really kind of screws up their show, so I
- 16:50Speaker 12: don't know what all they can do. But people were
- 16:52Speaker 12: posting clips from the old episodes of Beavis and Butt-Head
- 16:54Speaker 12: in the 90s and their favorite ones. And there's so
- 16:59Speaker 12: many good ones. One where there's some metal band and
- 17:03Speaker 12: the guy screams and Butt-Head's like, whoa, is that a bear?
- 17:07Speaker 12: And then, of course, they're so funny because they spoke
- 17:12Speaker 12: for a generation. A Generation of Idiots, which now we're
- 17:16Speaker 12: currently headlong into. But also there was that one. There
- 17:18Speaker 12: was another one where they unzip a guy and he
- 17:20Speaker 12: starts singing. And Butt-Head's like, zip him back up. He sucks.
- 17:24Speaker 12: And just them hating on everything was so great. And
- 17:28Speaker 12: there's one that was above multiple people's favorites was the
- 17:32Speaker 12: Pantera ones. The ones where they're watching Pantera. And one
- 17:36Speaker 12: where Beavis knew what the song was. It was a
- 17:39Speaker 12: Pantera song and Butt-Head didn't. And, and he was like,
- 17:42Speaker 12: this sucks. He's like, no, no, no, but I just wait, wait, buddy,
- 17:44Speaker 12: this is good. You're going to like it. And then
- 17:46Speaker 12: of course he kicks in and rocks. And then, but
- 17:48Speaker 12: it's like, Whoa, that's pretty cool. But one of my
- 17:51Speaker 12: favorite ones, which is hilarious was the one where that
- 17:55Speaker 12: song I'm broken by Pantera is playing. And they're both
- 17:58Speaker 12: just going, yes, yes, yes. They love it. And then
- 18:03Speaker 12: at one point Beavis is going, turn it up or buddy.
- 18:05Speaker 12: It's like, turn up. And they turn it up all
- 18:07Speaker 12: the way. He's like, we can't turn it up any louder. And,
- 18:10Speaker 12: And Beavis goes, I'm going to get closer to the
- 18:12Speaker 12: TV so I can hear this louder. And then he goes, hey, butthead,
- 18:15Speaker 12: this is not only hurting my ears, but it's hurting
- 18:18Speaker 12: my eyes as well. Oh, my God, I miss those days.
- 18:26Speaker 12: That was days before the digital world happened. And things
- 18:30Speaker 12: got crazy. And things are crazy in the digital world.
- 18:33Speaker 12: By the way, I'm getting emails asking me where Chris
- 18:35Speaker 12: Salcedo is. Have you not listened in a month?
- 18:40Speaker 11: He moved on to.
- 18:41Speaker 12: The torch with Glenn Becker, which, by the way, I
- 18:44Speaker 12: still haven't checked it out. I need to. I apologize.
- 18:47Speaker 12: I'll go check it out at some point. We got
- 18:48Speaker 12: a brand-new morning show. It's the Wise Guys with Craigermags
- 18:55Speaker 12: and Wayne E.D. But it's Craigermags and Wayne E.D. So
- 19:05Speaker 12: something like that. You have to tune in and listen.
- 19:08Speaker 12: So there you go. But that's like a month old now.
- 19:12Speaker 12: Have they been on for a month now? Is it
- 19:14Speaker 12: a month yet, Luke Ash, or are we coming up
- 19:17Speaker 12: on a month?
- 19:18Speaker 15: Let me check them archives.
- 19:19Speaker 12: There you go. Check the archives, find out. But anyway,
- 19:21Speaker 12: so we got a new morning show. You can tune
- 19:23Speaker 12: in and listen to that one. Chris Saucedo has left
- 19:25Speaker 12: us in the dust. He would have kept us if
- 19:28Speaker 12: he could have, but he couldn't because he had to
- 19:30Speaker 12: move on. He's with the torch. I don't really know.
- 19:32Speaker 12: I know it's, it's a Glenn Beck venture, the torch
- 19:34Speaker 12: or torch, whatever it's called. And it's a digital thing. So,
- 19:39Speaker 12: but he couldn't continue to do the show and do
- 19:41Speaker 12: that as well. So he's moved on. I think he
- 19:43Speaker 12: has to get up an hour earlier now. So God
- 19:45Speaker 12: bless him. But no, he's gone. But we still love Chris.
- 19:50Speaker 12: I always joke, you know, he's gone, so he's dead
- 19:52Speaker 12: to me. I'm like, Chris who? Sal Sato? Never heard
- 19:56Speaker 12: of him. Don't know who that is. I'm joking. Because
- 19:59Speaker 12: Chris is actually a very cool guy. And we wish
- 20:03Speaker 12: him the best. And if he ever comes back, we're
- 20:04Speaker 12: happy to have him. But we've got a new morning show,
- 20:07Speaker 12: so you have to check that out. It's called the
- 20:09Speaker 12: wise guys or something like that. I don't know. Little
- 20:11Speaker 12: wise guy boats. Okay. I love when Trump was referring
- 20:16Speaker 12: to those little boats in Iran, the little wise guy boats.
- 20:20Speaker 12: We've got the wise guy boats coming out. Gas, oil
- 20:24Speaker 12: prices up to like 106, 109 today. I don't know
- 20:27Speaker 12: where it ended up, but jumped up. So that sucks.
- 20:31Speaker 12: Trump was saying last week at the, was it last
- 20:36Speaker 12: week or the week before now? I can't remember. The
- 20:38Speaker 12: days run together. the GOP convention that gas prices are
- 20:43Speaker 12: going to come down after the midterms, that's too late.
- 20:48Speaker 12: Very seldom do I break with Trump in his assessment,
- 20:50Speaker 12: and I imagine he's probably thinking that as well. But
- 20:53Speaker 12: if they're waiting to try to get gas prices down
- 20:56Speaker 12: until after the midterms, that is going to be a
- 20:58Speaker 12: real bad thing because then the Republicans are going to
- 21:02Speaker 12: lose the House and most likely or very possibly lose
- 21:05Speaker 12: the Senate as well. Because the average person, we're all
- 21:08Speaker 12: walks here, okay? We're all political nerds that dig into
- 21:11Speaker 12: this and know so much more. Most people, that's why
- 21:14Speaker 12: we have to get the word out about Talafrico, that
- 21:16Speaker 12: he's a complete freak job. He's not a normal human being.
- 21:20Speaker 12: He's a total weirdo. And we have to get that
- 21:22Speaker 12: out there. But the problem is, is the average person,
- 21:27Speaker 12: the 10% that will decide this election, are the average
- 21:31Speaker 12: low-information voters that don't pay attention and they still think,
- 21:35Speaker 12: the lamestream media is news when it's not. So they
- 21:40Speaker 12: need to get the price of gas down. That is
- 21:43Speaker 12: hurting people in their pocketbooks. And as much as we'd
- 21:46Speaker 12: love for people just to ignore that aspect and look
- 21:48Speaker 12: at everything else, I'm sorry, that is a big thing.
- 21:52Speaker 12: It makes a huge difference. And when you're adding $ 10, $ 20,
- 21:55Speaker 12: I know it's only, you know, most people probably fill
- 21:58Speaker 12: up once a week. Some, if you drive a lot,
- 22:02Speaker 12: have to fill up more than that. But that's still
- 22:04Speaker 12: an additional probably $ 20 to fill up. It hurts when
- 22:08Speaker 12: I'm filling up my truck. And it goes from, I'm
- 22:11Speaker 12: close to $ 50 to.
- 22:13Speaker 2: $ 60 now.
- 22:13Speaker 12: Before, when I'm filling it up, it was $ 30. It's
- 22:16Speaker 12: doubling the cost. And that's only once a week. But
- 22:21Speaker 12: at the end of the month, just for me alone,
- 22:23Speaker 12: we're looking at $ 100- something dollars. For those of us who
- 22:28Speaker 12: don't get paid the big bucks, that makes a difference.
- 22:32Speaker 12: They're just want my pizza, you know, pizza money. They're
- 22:36Speaker 12: just want my movies money, which, by the way, I
- 22:39Speaker 12: did go see Hope the other night. That's a South
- 22:41Speaker 12: Korean movie. It's a alien movie. It's pretty interesting. But
- 22:47Speaker 12: we can get into that another time because we actually
- 22:50Speaker 12: do need to take a break and then we'll come back,
- 22:52Speaker 12: catch up with our guest, Jonathan Covey. He's the director
- 22:55Speaker 12: of Texas Public Policy for Texas Values. We'll get him
- 22:58Speaker 12: on the line. He'll join us. We'll talk about Texas
- 23:00Speaker 12: Faith Fest coming up here on September 26th. That would
- 23:04Speaker 12: be a Saturday. It's from 9 to 5 p.m. at
- 23:08Speaker 12: the Park Special Event Center in Cedar Park, just outside
- 23:11Speaker 12: of Austin. I do believe, is that the same place
- 23:14Speaker 12: they held it last year? I've been the last three years,
- 23:17Speaker 12: and it's been great. I'll be up there. I will
- 23:19Speaker 12: be at the event. So I'm going to be recording interviews,
- 23:23Speaker 12: so I'll get some interviews lined up and bring them
- 23:27Speaker 12: back for you the following week. I'll be playing them
- 23:29Speaker 12: all next week. Not next week, when I come back
- 23:31Speaker 12: after the 26th. But I love the event. It's about freedom.
- 23:38Speaker 12: It's about faith. It's about American values. Texas values. Texas values,
- 23:43Speaker 12: who puts it on? Jonathan Covey here joins us next

- 25:37Speaker 12: State government.
- 25:38Speaker 9: Nice try, but no.
- 25:41Speaker 6: Local governments.
- 25:42Speaker 11: Correct.
- 25:43Speaker 12: And we have a winner.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Here's Governor Greg Abbott on his plan to control property taxes.
- 25:49Speaker 25: The state of Texas does not impose a property tax.
- 25:52Speaker 25: Only local governments impose property taxes. One of the reasons
- 25:56Speaker 25: why your property taxes are going up is because local
- 25:59Speaker 25: governments are increasing their spending. So the first thing we
- 26:02Speaker 25: got to do is to stop the spending that leads
- 26:06Speaker 25: to property tax increases. You should have a say on
- 26:09Speaker 25: whether or not your property taxes go up. It should
- 26:12Speaker 25: be a vote that requires two-thirds vote before any property
- 26:16Speaker 25: tax increase can ever be imposed on our fellow Texans.
- 26:19Speaker 25: You're going to be able to live in your home
- 26:21Speaker 25: for the rest of your lives without being priced out
- 26:24Speaker 25: of it.
- 26:24Speaker 11: Protecting homeowners. Lowering property taxes. That's Governor Greg Abbott.
- 26:29Speaker 6: Political ad paid for by Texans for Greg Abbott.
- 26:32Speaker 1: From the KSEV Weather Center, tonight expect clear to partly
- 26:36Speaker 1: cloudy skies with warm and humid conditions and a low
- 26:38Speaker 1: temperature of 76. Tomorrow will bring very warm and humid
- 26:42Speaker 1: weather with some partial sunshine along with a chance of
- 26:44Speaker 1: a thunderstorm in spots during the afternoon and a high
- 26:47Speaker 1: of 96. Tomorrow night will be mainly clear and humid
- 26:50Speaker 1: with a low of 75. Looking ahead to Wednesday, anticipate
- 26:53Speaker 1: humid weather with a mix of clouds and sun and
- 26:55Speaker 1: the possibility of a thunderstorm in spots during the afternoon
- 26:58Speaker 1: with a high reaching 93. With the KSCV Weather Center forecast,
- 27:02Speaker 1: I'm AccuWeather meteorologist Jason Catarina.
- 27:07Speaker 9: Chris X Radio.
- 27:24Speaker 12: Welcome back to Chris X Radio. I'm your aforementioned X-Man.
- 27:27Speaker 12: Glad to have you here with us. It is time
- 27:29Speaker 12: to catch up with our guest. It is Jonathan Covey. Now,
- 27:32Speaker 12: Jonathan is the director of the Texas Public Policy for
- 27:36Speaker 12: Texas Values. The website is TexasValues.org. But we'll be talking
- 27:40Speaker 12: a little bit about FaithFest as well, TexasFaithFest.com. And we'll
- 27:45Speaker 12: get into that information coming up here on the 26th.
- 27:48Speaker 12: So make sure we get you good and ready for that.
- 27:50Speaker 12: But I want to welcome Jonathan Covey to the program. Jonathan,
- 27:52Speaker 12: thank you for being here today. Great to catch up
- 27:54Speaker 12: with you.
- 27:55Speaker 23: Thanks, Chris.
- 27:56Speaker 15: Great to be with you today.
- 27:58Speaker 12: Well, great to have you on the program. So before
- 28:00Speaker 12: we get into Texas Faith Fest and all that that entails,
- 28:03Speaker 12: because I know this is a big event and I'm
- 28:04Speaker 12: really looking forward to it, explain to us what you
- 28:07Speaker 12: do as the director of Texas Public Policy for Texas Values.
- 28:12Speaker 15: Yeah, absolutely. So Texas Values is is a statewide organization
- 28:18Speaker 15: that protects faith, family, and freedom in Texas public policy.
- 28:23Speaker 15: As policy director, I work with lawmakers at the Texas
- 28:26Speaker 15: Capitol to advance religious liberty, parental rights, protection of the unborn,
- 28:32Speaker 15: and safeguards for women and children, and then help and
- 28:35Speaker 15: ensure those laws are actually implemented and defended throughout the
- 28:39Speaker 15: state of Texas.
- 28:41Speaker 12: Boy, that sounds like a full-time gig, especially in this environment.
- 28:45Speaker 12: Things don't always go like they do in the last
- 28:47Speaker 12: election or the previous Trump administration. We had four years
- 28:51Speaker 12: of a Biden administration where things were very different in
- 28:54Speaker 12: this state. And unfortunately, from the looks of things, and
- 28:56Speaker 12: we can hope we can head that off here at
- 28:58Speaker 12: the pass through the midterms, but we seem to be
- 29:01Speaker 12: heading that direction again, which makes your job that much
- 29:05Speaker 12: more difficult. And I know, like I said, thank God
- 29:07Speaker 12: we got people like you working on behalf of families
- 29:09Speaker 12: and their their faith and family values. What a concept, huh?
- 29:13Speaker 12: It's important. Let's talk about Texas Faith Fest. This is
- 29:17Speaker 12: coming up here on the 26th of September, which is
- 29:21Speaker 12: going to be a great time. It's from 9 a.m.
- 29:23Speaker 12: to 5 p.m. The whole day is provided. They're going
- 29:26Speaker 12: to have barbecue. Lunch is provided. But a whole lot
- 29:28Speaker 12: of great speakers, including Brandon Gill. Now, he represents Denton
- 29:32Speaker 12: County up there just north of Dallas. He will be
- 29:35Speaker 12: the keynote speaker. He's only 32 years old, probably the
- 29:38Speaker 12: youngest Republican congressman today. But boy, does he seem to
- 29:42Speaker 12: be a rising star. Let's talk about his confrontations that
- 29:46Speaker 12: he's had regarding, well, one abortion advocate in a committee
- 29:50Speaker 12: hearing and some of the other things that he's been
- 29:52Speaker 12: doing up there on Capitol Hill.
- 29:56Speaker 15: Yeah, so Congressman Gill has been doing a great job,
- 29:59Speaker 15: and what he did was force the abortion advocate to
- 30:04Speaker 15: move beyond those slogans and confront what abortion actually entails.
- 30:08Speaker 15: He asked her what her preferred method of abortion was,
- 30:12Speaker 15: and when she tried to avoid the question, you know,
- 30:14Speaker 15: he began describing those procedures, and his point was that
- 30:18Speaker 15: the abortion advocates frequently use this sanitized language like reproductive
- 30:23Speaker 15: health care, but They don't want to discuss what physically
- 30:26Speaker 15: happens to the unborn child. It was a very direct
- 30:29Speaker 15: and a very revealing exchange.
- 30:31Speaker 12: It really was. He really put her on the spot.
- 30:34Speaker 12: And he did a great job of making them admit
- 30:37Speaker 12: something they try to pretend is not occurring. Because you're
- 30:41Speaker 12: absolutely right. They don't talk about the process of abortion
- 30:44Speaker 12: and what they do to these unborn children in order
- 30:47Speaker 12: to terminate that life. And he's done a really good
- 30:49Speaker 12: job of him asking, hey, you know, which method of
- 30:52Speaker 12: abortion do you prefer? And then listing them off. really made,
- 30:56Speaker 12: you could see completely made the abortion lady very uncomfortable.
- 31:01Speaker 12: She clearly didn't want to answer the question because answering
- 31:03Speaker 12: the question makes them admit something that they don't want
- 31:06Speaker 12: to admit, that you're terminating the life of that baby,
- 31:09Speaker 12: but also you're doing it in a horrible way.
- 31:13Speaker 15: Right, exactly. And that's not something they want to admit.
- 31:17Speaker 15: And they'll use this language of, you know, a clinical term,
- 31:21Speaker 15: clinical or reproductive language to try to discuss something that
- 31:25Speaker 15: really is a very common sense issue to us, and
- 31:28Speaker 15: it's very direct, and it should be addressed very directly.
- 31:31Speaker 15: He doesn't mince words, and that's a great thing.
- 31:34Speaker 12: But now he does not mince words and he does
- 31:36Speaker 12: it in a very it's a very calm way. He
- 31:39Speaker 12: doesn't go crazy. He doesn't ever yell. He doesn't scream.
- 31:42Speaker 12: He simply asked them questions and makes them try it. Well,
- 31:46Speaker 12: attempt to defend their positions. He had another I guess
- 31:49Speaker 12: it was a food stamps person on. And he asked
- 31:53Speaker 12: the Democrat witness if people on food stamps need Coca-Cola
- 31:57Speaker 12: to survive. And I don't think she really had an
- 32:00Speaker 12: answer for him, did she?
- 32:02Speaker 15: No, you know, she didn't. And I think beneath that,
- 32:05Speaker 15: that exchange was really a serious policy question, which was
- 32:09Speaker 15: should a taxpayer funded nutrition program be used to purchase
- 32:14Speaker 15: products that provide virtually no nutritional value and contribute to
- 32:18Speaker 15: chronic disease? And the witness just repeatedly avoided that basic,
- 32:22Speaker 15: basic question. And Congressman Kill wouldn't let her hide behind
- 32:26Speaker 15: those talking points. And it's that willingness to ask that
- 32:30Speaker 15: obvious question and keep answering, keep asking it until someone
- 32:34Speaker 15: answers is one reason why people are paying attention to him.
- 32:37Speaker 12: No, it really is. And once again, every time he
- 32:40Speaker 12: he confronts one of these these people, they it immediately
- 32:44Speaker 12: goes viral on social media. And it actually it once again,
- 32:48Speaker 12: it puts them in the light that they truly should be,
- 32:50Speaker 12: you know, answering questions. And it's it's very difficult. This
- 32:54Speaker 12: is Brandon Gill. He'll be the keynote address speaker at
- 32:57Speaker 12: Texas Faith Fest, Texas Faith Fest dot com. If you
- 33:00Speaker 12: want to get more information. Find the entire list of speakers.
- 33:03Speaker 12: There's going to be a bunch of people there. We're
- 33:04Speaker 12: talking with Jonathan Covey. He's the director of Texas Public
- 33:08Speaker 12: Policy for Texas Values. Now, another speaker that you guys
- 33:11Speaker 12: are going to have there, which is Texas State Senator
- 33:14Speaker 12: Mays Middleton. Now, he's the Republican candidate for Texas Attorney General.
- 33:19Speaker 12: He's going to be speaking there on Saturday, September 26th
- 33:22Speaker 12: as well. Now, what is the significance, I guess, between
- 33:25Speaker 12: his vision for Texas compared that to his Democrat opponent...
- 33:30Speaker 12: they have a stark contrast on how they would like
- 33:33Speaker 12: to see the state run, don't they?
- 33:36Speaker 15: Yeah, you know, and just as up front, as a
- 33:40Speaker 15: nonprofit organization, we're not telling people how to vote, but
- 33:44Speaker 15: what we do do is educate Texans about the candidates'
- 33:48Speaker 15: records and their stated positions. And Senator Middleton has worked
- 33:52Speaker 15: closely with conservatives on issues involving religious liberty, on parental rights,
- 33:58Speaker 15: protecting the unborn, maintaining protections based on biological sex. And
- 34:03Speaker 15: Senator Johnson, unfortunately, represents a substantially different governing philosophy on
- 34:09Speaker 15: many of those questions. So, you know, the Attorney General
- 34:12Speaker 15: has enormous influence over Texas laws, whether they're defended vigorously
- 34:17Speaker 15: in court. So voters really need to examine closely both
- 34:23Speaker 15: those candidates and ask, you know, which vision they want
- 34:25Speaker 15: represented by the state's chief legal officer.
- 34:30Speaker 12: Yeah, this is going to be– it's interesting because with
- 34:32Speaker 12: the Texas Attorney General is Ken Paxton, and he's now
- 34:35Speaker 12: running for U.S. Senate against James Tallarico, who is very–
- 34:40Speaker 12: we'll just say he– in my opinion, Tallarico has been
- 34:43Speaker 12: running a campaign against himself because, once again, he's trying
- 34:46Speaker 12: to parade himself as a moderate when he's clearly– One
- 34:49Speaker 12: of these more leftist, you know, radical candidates. And he
- 34:52Speaker 12: doesn't want people to really find that out, which, of course,
- 34:54Speaker 12: now opened up with Ken Paxton running against him. That
- 34:57Speaker 12: opened up the Texas attorney general position and Mays Middles
- 35:01Speaker 12: and the Texas state senator has won the nomination. on
- 35:05Speaker 12: the Republican side. I've interviewed Mays before, a very sharp guy.
- 35:09Speaker 12: I'm looking forward to voting for him myself. But he's
- 35:12Speaker 12: just one of those other speakers that will be there
- 35:15Speaker 12: on the 26th in Austin or just outside of Austin
- 35:17Speaker 12: at the Park Center over at the Texas Faith Fest. TexasFaithFest.com
- 35:21Speaker 12: is the website if you want more information. Now, a
- 35:24Speaker 12: young lady that I interviewed either last year or the
- 35:26Speaker 12: year before, I guess I've been the last three years,
- 35:29Speaker 12: is Brooke Slusser. She's one of the young speakers. She
- 35:33Speaker 12: played volleyball for San Jose State, now works with Save
- 35:37Speaker 12: Women Sports. Her story is almost unbelievable, especially for those
- 35:42Speaker 12: of us here in Texas.
- 35:43Speaker 11: Right.
- 35:44Speaker 12: We can't even fathom it, but this is where the
- 35:46Speaker 12: left wants us to go. This is where today's Democrat
- 35:49Speaker 12: Party is, whereas it seems to be completely incongruent with
- 35:53Speaker 12: those with Texas values. Let's talk a little bit about
- 35:57Speaker 12: Brooke Slusser and what she had to endure being a
- 36:03Speaker 12: female athlete in college.
- 36:06Speaker 2: Right.
- 36:06Speaker 7: Yeah, absolutely.
- 36:07Speaker 15: I mean, this is just incredible. And Brooke's story shows
- 36:12Speaker 15: that this debate is not abstract. It affects real young women.
- 36:17Speaker 15: So Brooke went to San Jose State to play women's volleyball,
- 36:22Speaker 15: and she discovered that a male athlete who identified as
- 36:26Speaker 15: a female was competing on her team. And then she
- 36:30Speaker 15: also said that she was placed in living and travel
- 36:33Speaker 15: arrangements with that athlete without even being told about it.
- 36:38Speaker 15: And then when Brooke raised concerns about safety and privacy, fairness,
- 36:44Speaker 15: the institutions that should have protected her, instead they expected
- 36:49Speaker 15: her to remain silent. And so she chose to speak
- 36:52Speaker 15: out publicly. She joined litigation challenging those policies. And all
- 36:56Speaker 15: of that just took tremendous, tremendous courage. And at Faith Fest,
- 37:00Speaker 15: people will hear directly from that young woman who was
- 37:03Speaker 15: placed in an impossible situation, but she decided to stand up.
- 37:07Speaker 15: for other female athletes.
- 37:09Speaker 12: Now, I remember talking with Brooks Lesser and she's a very,
- 37:12Speaker 12: a very sharp young lady. If I remember correctly, not
- 37:16Speaker 12: only does she, you know, playing with this male pretending
- 37:19Speaker 12: to be female at one point in time, didn't, I
- 37:21Speaker 12: don't know if it was her or some of her teammates,
- 37:23Speaker 12: they were actually expecting them to room with a male
- 37:27Speaker 12: pretending to be a female. Was that her story or
- 37:30Speaker 12: one of her teammates?
- 37:32Speaker 15: No, that was– yeah, that was absolutely her story. And
- 37:35Speaker 15: she discovered the truth about it. And when the officials
- 37:40Speaker 15: were notified and she brought this up, she was actually
- 37:44Speaker 15: bullied into– they tried to bully her into staying silent
- 37:47Speaker 15: on this.
- 37:48Speaker 12: It's just insane. Imagine putting a young man in a
- 37:52Speaker 12: room with a woman and saying, you can't complain about
- 37:54Speaker 12: this because this young man is pretending to be a woman.
- 37:58Speaker 12: And this is something the Democrat candidate for U.S. Senate,
- 38:02Speaker 12: James Tallarico, seems to be firmly behind. Once again, the
- 38:06Speaker 12: story that is left out of the public narrative, the
- 38:08Speaker 12: national narrative and, of course, the state narrative. is the
- 38:11Speaker 12: fact that these young ladies are the ones that are
- 38:13Speaker 12: being subjected to and having to deal with this situation,
- 38:16Speaker 12: which is clearly unfair on the volleyball court and all
- 38:19Speaker 12: sports arenas where young men are now coming in and
- 38:22Speaker 12: trying to dominate. But then they're trying to make room
- 38:24Speaker 12: with them and Of course, we've heard the stories. I
- 38:27Speaker 12: know Riley Gaines has spoken in the past where they
- 38:30Speaker 12: have to, you know, rumor or being dressing rooms with
- 38:33Speaker 12: young men. It's insane. I guess one other one is
- 38:37Speaker 12: another speaker that will be there is Judge Diane Hensley. Now,
- 38:40Speaker 12: she was punished for not performing gay weddings due to
- 38:43Speaker 12: her Christian belief. She was finally vindicated by the Texas
- 38:47Speaker 12: Supreme Court. Is that correct?
- 38:50Speaker 15: That's correct, Chris. And, you know, Justice Hensley, she's She's
- 38:54Speaker 15: a justice of the peace and a very committed Christian,
- 38:57Speaker 15: and because of her religious convictions about marriage, she couldn't
- 39:01Speaker 15: personally officiate same-sex weddings. She was treated, everyone who appeared
- 39:09Speaker 15: in her courtroom, she treated them equally. She helped everyone,
- 39:13Speaker 15: but the State Commission on Judicial Conduct issued her a
- 39:17Speaker 15: public warning. She's been fighting this case, and eventually the
- 39:21Speaker 15: Texas Supreme Court vindicated her and clarified their judicial rules. So,
- 39:26Speaker 15: you know, her story just demonstrates why people of faith
- 39:29Speaker 15: really have to stand their ground, not only for themselves,
- 39:31Speaker 15: but also for everyone else who may face that same pressure.
- 39:36Speaker 12: You know, it's funny we're dealing with this situation to
- 39:38Speaker 12: where those on the other side are trying to force
- 39:41Speaker 12: everyone into compliance. They don't want to comply with anything,
- 39:44Speaker 12: but they want to force everyone into their version of compliance,
- 39:47Speaker 12: which puts a whole lot of people in a really
- 39:49Speaker 12: bad situation. And they seem to be oblivious to it. OK,
- 39:53Speaker 12: so let's talk about some of the other speakers there.
- 39:54Speaker 12: There's a whole lot of them that are going to
- 39:56Speaker 12: be there on Saturday, September 26th from 9 a.m. to
- 39:59Speaker 12: 5 p.m. Once again, lunch is going to be provided,
- 40:02Speaker 12: which last year was Rudy's. barbecue which was so good
- 40:06Speaker 12: i just remember i was so hungry and when lunch
- 40:09Speaker 12: came it was like oh this is perfect so it
- 40:11Speaker 12: was uh the lunch was good but there's going to
- 40:13Speaker 12: be a lot of other speakers you want to mention
- 40:15Speaker 12: some of the other people that we can uh have
- 40:16Speaker 12: the honor to pay attention to and listen to on
- 40:18Speaker 12: the 26th for.
- 40:19Speaker 15: Sure yeah and i will say the lunch is going
- 40:22Speaker 15: to be excellent this time too so you have something
- 40:25Speaker 15: to look forward to but we have a really great
- 40:28Speaker 15: lineup because these speakers bring experience from several different arenas.
- 40:32Speaker 15: So we have State Board of Education Chairman Aaron Kinsey,
- 40:35Speaker 15: SBOE member Julie Pickering. They can explain why education, policy,
- 40:41Speaker 15: parental involvement are so important right now. Senator Phil King,
- 40:45Speaker 15: he brings years of legislative experience, and he has been
- 40:48Speaker 15: a really, really strong voice on religious liberty and the
- 40:51Speaker 15: Ten Commandments and other foundational issues. David Hacker, First Liberty Institute,
- 40:56Speaker 15: he brings a a great legal perspective, what's happening in
- 40:59Speaker 15: the courts, how constitutional freedoms are actually defended. Dr. Tom Oliverson,
- 41:06Speaker 15: just an excellent legislator with a number of experience in
- 41:10Speaker 15: religious freedom and a number of other things. So, you know,
- 41:13Speaker 15: just so many good people. Attendees, they won't just hear speeches.
- 41:17Speaker 15: They're going to hear from people working in the legislature,
- 41:20Speaker 15: the education system, the courts, and the culture. It's going
- 41:23Speaker 15: to be a really great time.
- 41:25Speaker 12: And it's always a very intimate venue, which means when
- 41:28Speaker 12: they're done speaking, I know they take time to sit
- 41:30Speaker 12: and talk with people and take pictures. And depending on
- 41:33Speaker 12: their availability, some of them tend to have to run,
- 41:35Speaker 12: but usually they do that. And like I said, I
- 41:38Speaker 12: know Tom Oliverson actually represents the area I'm from, which
- 41:41Speaker 12: is great because I'm a big fan of Dr. Tom Oliverson.
- 41:44Speaker 12: He's very sharp and he's one of those guys that
- 41:46Speaker 12: is also very strong in his faith and he doesn't,
- 41:48Speaker 12: He doesn't cower to those trying to punish him into compliance,
- 41:53Speaker 12: if you will. So there's a good exchange between him
- 41:56Speaker 12: and James Tallarico that is circling on social media as well. Okay,
- 41:59Speaker 12: so we'll talk about the Texas Faith Fest. The event's
- 42:01Speaker 12: going to be held at the Park Social Special Event
- 42:04Speaker 12: Center in Cedar Park, Texas, just outside of Austin. It'll
- 42:07Speaker 12: be between 9 and 5 on Saturday, September 26th. The
- 42:11Speaker 12: cost for students and pastors, it's actually free. It doesn't
- 42:14Speaker 12: cost anything. So students and pastors can register over at TexasFaithFest.com.
- 42:19Speaker 12: It doesn't cost you a thing. Just go register for
- 42:21Speaker 12: the rest of us. It'll be, what, $ 39, which is
- 42:24Speaker 12: actually a really good deal because it includes the lunch
- 42:26Speaker 12: you talked about, and that's $ 20 worth of food at
- 42:29Speaker 12: the very least, especially in today's higher cost of living
- 42:34Speaker 12: and food.
- 42:35Speaker 2: That's right.
- 42:36Speaker 12: That's going to be wonderful. And once again, you get
- 42:38Speaker 12: to watch all of these speakers, you get to mingle,
- 42:40Speaker 12: meet a lot of great-minded people. I guess, tell us
- 42:44Speaker 12: what the goals of Texas Faith Fest truly is to
- 42:47Speaker 12: people who are able to come on out and actually
- 42:49Speaker 12: get to listen and meet some of these speakers.
- 42:52Speaker 15: Yeah, absolutely. I mean, we want to educate people, we
- 42:55Speaker 15: want to motivate them, and then we want to activate them.
- 42:58Speaker 15: We don't want people to leave with just a notebook
- 42:59Speaker 15: full of information and then do nothing about it. We
- 43:02Speaker 15: want them to identify one place where they can make
- 43:05Speaker 15: a difference And that might mean becoming more involved with
- 43:08Speaker 15: their local school board, contacting legislators about an important bill,
- 43:12Speaker 15: helping their church understand a religious liberty issue, giving testament.
- 43:16Speaker 15: Whatever it is, the goal is to help people understand
- 43:19Speaker 15: what's happening, give them the confidence to speak up, and
- 43:23Speaker 15: then connect them with those practical opportunities to act. And
- 43:26Speaker 15: that's what we mean by educate, motivate, and activate.
- 43:30Speaker 12: Jonathan Covey, the director of Texas Public Policy for Texas Values. Jonathan,
- 43:34Speaker 12: tell people the best way to get more information and
- 43:36Speaker 12: how they can get tickets to Texas Faith Fest.
- 43:40Speaker 15: Go to TexasFaithFest.com. Look for the big red register button
- 43:44Speaker 15: and also check out our website at TXValues.org if you
- 43:48Speaker 15: want to know more about the issues going on in
- 43:50Speaker 15: the religious freedom or family or pro-life world up here
- 43:54Speaker 15: at the Texas Capitol.
- 43:56Speaker 12: Thank you very much for your time today, Jonathan. I
- 43:58Speaker 12: look forward to seeing you on Saturday, September 26th. I
- 44:01Speaker 12: look forward to it. It was good seeing you last year,
- 44:03Speaker 12: and I look forward to seeing you for many years
- 44:04Speaker 12: to come.
- 44:06Speaker 8: Thanks, Chris.
- 44:06Speaker 15: Look forward to seeing you, too.
- 44:08Speaker 11: All right.
- 44:08Speaker 12: Once again, Jonathan Covey, the director of Texas Public Policy
- 44:11Speaker 12: for Texas Values, the website he mentioned for if anybody
- 44:14Speaker 12: wants more information, wants to get tickets, wants to come
- 44:17Speaker 12: on out and hang out with me and, of course,
- 44:18Speaker 12: all of the gang at Texas Values. And then, of course,
- 44:21Speaker 12: Brandon Gill and Mays Middleton and Brooke Slusser and Judge
- 44:26Speaker 12: Diane Hensley and all of the others, Julie Pickren. And
- 44:29Speaker 12: as he mentioned, Tom, Dr. Tom Oliver, Senator Representative, of course,
- 44:33Speaker 12: Phil King, David Hacker. You want to come out. There's
- 44:35Speaker 12: a lot of great information. people once again it's going
- 44:37Speaker 12: to be over there at the the park center just
- 44:39Speaker 12: outside of austin over in cedar park i'm looking forward

- 47:11Speaker 17: Our country's founding fathers drafted a document that is the
- 47:14Speaker 17: Declaration of Independence. We hold these truths to be self-evident,
- 47:18Speaker 17: that all men are created equal, that they are endowed
- 47:21Speaker 17: by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these
- 47:25Speaker 17: are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. To secure
- 47:28Speaker 17: these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their powers
- 47:31Speaker 17: from the consent of the governed. My friends at O'Hare
- 47:34Speaker 17: & Company Real Estate, we believe we're at our precipice
- 47:37Speaker 17: in time where we must take back our country. We
- 47:39Speaker 17: must stand up for our freedoms or lose them forever.
- 47:42Speaker 17: Please don't sit idle and let it slip away. Don't
- 47:44Speaker 17: let anyone force you to do something you choose not to.
- 47:47Speaker 17: As JFK said, if.
- 47:49Speaker 12: Not us, who?
- 47:50Speaker 17: If not now, when? If you're looking to buy or

- 48:07Speaker 17: God bless Texas.
- 48:10Speaker 9: You can't stop him. You can only hope to contain him.
- 48:14Speaker 9: Chris X Radio.
- 48:23Speaker 12: You just heard it on the X by ZZ Top,
- 48:30Speaker 12: which is one of my favorite ZZ Top songs. Doesn't
- 48:33Speaker 12: get a lot of airplay. In fact, I don't think
- 48:35Speaker 12: any of the radio stations, the FM stations, they made
- 48:40Speaker 12: a conscious effort to eliminate rock and roll. So we've
- 48:42Speaker 12: only got one classic rock station on two channels. But
- 48:49Speaker 12: you don't get to hear a whole lot. But when
- 48:50Speaker 12: you do hear ZZ Top, you hear the same three songs.
- 48:53Speaker 12: They actually have a pretty extensive repertoire. And I love
- 48:58Speaker 12: this one. Heard it on the X. If I had
- 49:00Speaker 12: any idea I was going to be Chris X on
- 49:02Speaker 12: the radio, I definitely would have built an intro or
- 49:04Speaker 12: something out of this song. Anyway, welcome back to Chris
- 49:07Speaker 12: X Radio. You've reached the final segment of the first hour,
- 49:10Speaker 12: but don't you go anywhere. We've got hour number two
- 49:11Speaker 12: locked and loaded for you. I want to thank Jonathan Covey,
- 49:14Speaker 12: the director of Texas Public Policy for Texas Values. He's
- 49:18Speaker 12: going to be at Texas Faith Fest. which is coming
- 49:20Speaker 12: up where I'm going to be. Saturday, September 26th from
- 49:23Speaker 12: 9 to 5 p.m. at the Park Social Special Events
- 49:27Speaker 12: Center in Cedar Park, Texas, just outside of Austin. It's
- 49:30Speaker 12: literally kind of on the corner of Austin. It's right there.
- 49:33Speaker 12: It is Austin to me. We come from Houston, which
- 49:36Speaker 12: is a really big city. So Austin, if something is
- 49:39Speaker 12: just outside, is still in Austin to us. Students and pastors,
- 49:43Speaker 12: it's absolutely free for them to go. For everyone else,
- 49:45Speaker 12: tickets are just $ 39 per ticket, and that includes lunch,
- 49:49Speaker 12: which last year was Rudy's Barbecue, and it was... Oh man,
- 49:52Speaker 12: I remember, I don't remember what, we had different choices,
- 49:55Speaker 12: but I had the turkey sandwich and Rudy's turkey sandwiches
- 49:58Speaker 12: are money. And I think you get a side or two,
- 50:01Speaker 12: maybe a cookie or whatever. Rudy's has got good barbecue.
- 50:05Speaker 12: We have some here, obviously. So, but if you want
- 50:08Speaker 12: more information, you want to get tickets, you want to attend,
- 50:10Speaker 12: come on out. You can hang out with me and
- 50:12Speaker 12: some of the other gang. There's going to be a
- 50:13Speaker 12: lot of other people there and a lot of great events.
- 50:15Speaker 12: Brandon Gill is, is the keynote address, and he's a
- 50:19Speaker 12: rising star here on the Republican side. We need more
- 50:21Speaker 12: like Brandon Gill. So, 2815... Oh, I'm sorry. I should
- 50:26Speaker 12: give the website. TexasFreedomFest.com is the website. TexasFreedom... I'm sorry.
- 50:34Speaker 12: Saying it wrong. TexasFaithFest.com. Get it confused. Freedom Fest is
- 50:39Speaker 12: a totally different event. TexasFaithFest.com. You can get tickets, find
- 50:43Speaker 12: out the entire lineup, which is a good one. And
- 50:46Speaker 12: then you can come on out, have fun, have some barbecue,
- 50:48Speaker 12: get to meet a lot of people. The other thing, too,
- 50:51Speaker 12: is even though it's great with a bunch of great speakers,
- 50:53Speaker 12: also there's a whole lot of like-minded individuals. Just people
- 50:58Speaker 12: in general that are on our side. These are great events.
- 51:02Speaker 12: And I've been the last three years, and I never
- 51:04Speaker 12: get tired of them. I really enjoy the event. So
- 51:06Speaker 12: I'm looking forward to attending once again. And that's coming
- 51:09Speaker 12: up on Friday. No, it's actually Saturday, September 26th. That
- 51:13Speaker 12: is in, what, two weeks? Yeah, that's 12 days from now.
- 51:17Speaker 11: Wow.
- 51:20Speaker 12: That's coming up quick. Not this coming weekend, but the following.
- 51:23Speaker 12: So I'm looking forward to it. And I appreciate Jonathan
- 51:25Speaker 12: Covey coming on and talking about it. All right, so
- 51:27Speaker 12: as we wrap up here the first hour, a lot
- 51:29Speaker 12: of stuff we'll talk in the second hour about Donald
- 51:31Speaker 12: Trump dismissing warnings from these leading AI people. Now, the
- 51:37Speaker 12: AI executives, including Anthropix, Dario Amode, OpenAI's Sam Altman, and
- 51:45Speaker 12: Elon Musk, who has urged a slower pace of AI development. Now,
- 51:49Speaker 12: the president's response was that, you know, whoever wins, AI wins, whatever.
- 51:56Speaker 12: I do think he's probably right on this. But that
- 52:01Speaker 12: being said, do we really need to slow down? No,
- 52:04Speaker 12: I mean, we definitely probably could put some make sure
- 52:06Speaker 12: there's guardrails. You should do that with anything. But we
- 52:09Speaker 12: have to be very careful and make sure that we're
- 52:11Speaker 12: not allowing we slow down while the rest of the
- 52:14Speaker 12: world and our adversaries don't slow down on AI. And
- 52:17Speaker 12: that would not be good. Also, Trump had a parting
- 52:20Speaker 12: gift to Ireland. He is scrapping the 10 percent tariff
- 52:23Speaker 12: on all Irish whiskey. So all of you big Irish
- 52:27Speaker 12: whiskey fans, I'm the one Irish guy in the world
- 52:30Speaker 12: that doesn't drink. I don't drink. I don't drink alcohol.
- 52:33Speaker 12: So I don't drink Irish whiskey. So I don't know
- 52:37Speaker 12: what the difference between Irish whiskey and others. But apparently
- 52:40Speaker 12: Trump said that everybody was talking to him about it.
- 52:43Speaker 12: He said, everybody keeps talking to me about it. So
- 52:45Speaker 12: I'm going to wave it. Trump in the most ridiculously
- 52:48Speaker 12: Trumpian way possible. And he also slammed AOC and. New
- 52:54Speaker 12: York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani for yucking it up during
- 52:56Speaker 12: the reading of the victims' names on 9-11. Now you
- 52:59Speaker 12: know why so many people didn't want him to be there,
- 53:02Speaker 12: Zoran Mamdani. And Bill Maher, last Friday was the memorial
- 53:07Speaker 12: of 9-11, 25 years, the 25th memorial. And Bill Maher,
- 53:13Speaker 12: titled Clash of Civilizations on his real-time show on HBO,
- 53:17Speaker 12: had an excellent take. And when we come back here
- 53:20Speaker 12: on Hour 2, I'm going to play that audio. It's
- 53:22Speaker 12: pretty long. But I think you need to hear it.
- 53:24Speaker 12: And I'm not one to play Bill Maher. I know
- 53:26Speaker 12: he's a lefty, he's a Democrat, he's always going to
- 53:28Speaker 12: be one, but he's on point on this one, and
- 53:30Speaker 12: this is one of those times. Hour number two is
- 53:32Speaker 12: up next. Don't you go anywhere.
- 53:35Speaker 23: AM 700, KSCV, Tomball, Houston, and streaming online at kscvradio.com.
- 53:41Speaker 23: The Voice of Texas.
- 53:45Speaker 27: News this hour from Town Hall. I'm Keith Peters in Washington.
- 53:50Speaker 27: A congressman from Wisconsin who is also the state's Republican
- 53:53Speaker 27: candidate for governor swims to safety after his plane lands
- 53:57Speaker 27: in a lake.
- 53:57Speaker 28: Congressman Tom Tiffany says he was flying back from the
- 54:00Speaker 28: La Crosse County Lincoln Day Dinner when the small plane
- 54:03Speaker 28: he was in lost power as it approached Wausau Downtown Airport.
- 54:08Speaker 28: The pilot of the single-engine four-seat Bonanza made an emergency
- 54:12Speaker 28: landing in Lake Wausau. Both Tiffany and the pilot ended
- 54:15Speaker 28: up in the water, swam to safety. were picked up
- 54:19Speaker 28: by emergency responders, taken to the hospital, and treated for
- 54:23Speaker 28: minor injuries. Tiffany is running for governor on the Republican
- 54:26Speaker 28: ticket in Wisconsin and has been endorsed by President Trump.
- 54:30Speaker 28: I'm Julie Walker.
- 54:31Speaker 27: Tiffany, in an emotional statement, said we are just really fortunate,
- 54:35Speaker 27: we're really fortunate that God was looking after.
- 54:38Speaker 11: Us last night.
- 54:40Speaker 27: Yemen's Houthis are expanding their offensive around the Red Sea.
- 54:43Speaker 29: Yemeni officials say the Houthi rebels have captured more strategic
- 54:47Speaker 29: islands in the southern Red Sea, strengthening their control of
- 54:51Speaker 29: a major maritime shipping route.
- 54:53Speaker 12: The rebels have deployed fighters on.
- 54:55Speaker 29: The islands of Greater Hanish and Lesser Hanish, over 100
- 54:59Speaker 29: miles north of Bab el-Mandeb Strait, two government officials and
- 55:03Speaker 29: a Houthi official say on Monday. adding the Houthis took
- 55:07Speaker 29: over the islands after hundreds of government-allied forces withdrew from
- 55:11Speaker 29: the archipelago. The capture of the islands has come after
- 55:14Speaker 29: the rebels last week seized the port city of Mokha
- 55:17Speaker 29: and the island of Mayun, located inside Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
- 55:21Speaker 29: I'm Charles de la Desma.
- 55:22Speaker 27: The Environmental Protection Agency is repealing rules that limit greenhouse
- 55:27Speaker 27: gas emissions from power plants fueled by coal and natural gas.
- 55:31Speaker 27: On Wall Street, the Dow down by 152 points. The
- 55:35Speaker 27: Nasdaq dropped 146. The S & P lower by 37.

- 56:44Speaker 27: Here's the Wall Street Business Report.
- 56:46Speaker 32: President Trump sees AI as central to the future of
- 56:49Speaker 32: the U.S. economy, and he's pushing back on calls to
- 56:52Speaker 32: slow development over concerns.
- 56:54Speaker 12: That AI could get out of control.
- 56:55Speaker 33: The narrative pushed by mainstream outlets calling to slow down
- 56:58Speaker 33: artificial intelligence is a familiar play, using bureaucratic overreach, alarmism,
- 57:03Speaker 33: and regulatory capture to stifle American innovation.
- 57:06Speaker 12: President Trump told reporters that narrative is getting out of hand.
- 57:09Speaker 12: We can quit.
- 57:09Speaker 5: Guardrails, we can do this and that, but I think
- 57:11Speaker 5: you have a lot of negative forces in bringing it up.
- 57:14Speaker 11: That shouldn't be bringing it up.
- 57:15Speaker 33: A White House press release states the path forward requires, quote,
- 57:18Speaker 33: unleashing American ingenuity, rejecting doomsday hysteria and maintaining an unbeatable
- 57:22Speaker 33: technological lead on the global stage.
- 57:24Speaker 11: Whoever wins with AI wins. Bernie Bennett, Washington.
- 57:28Speaker 32: AI stocks slid worldwide after leaders raised those concerns a
- 57:32Speaker 32: high-tech Nasdaq suffered. It was down by 146 points at
- 57:36Speaker 32: the closing bell. For the Wall Street Business Report, I'm
- 57:38Speaker 32: Bob Agnew.

- 57:43Speaker 34: This TrueSand commentary is brought to you by AbilityTree Experts.
- 57:46Speaker 34: AbilityTree Experts, Houston's leading tree care professionals. Call 281-441-4179. From KSEV,
- 57:55Speaker 34: here's political contributor Ben Strewsand.
- 57:59Speaker 35: To my fellow Republicans who supported John Cornyn and won't
- 58:03Speaker 35: vote for Ken Paxton, you're about to give control of
- 58:06Speaker 35: the U.S. Senate over to the socialists that now run
- 58:09Speaker 35: the Democrat Party. Their plan is to pack the Supreme Court,
- 58:13Speaker 35: give statehood to D.C. and Puerto Rico so as to
- 58:16Speaker 35: add four new Democrats to the Senate and control the
- 58:19Speaker 35: Electoral College. Do you really want that on your conscience?
- 58:23Speaker 35: And don't think for a minute that somehow progressive socialist
- 58:27Speaker 35: turned moderate James Tallarico won't support the Bernese team. He
- 58:32Speaker 35: won't have a choice. Or another election for six years.
- 58:37Speaker 35: We all know what it's like to support crap candidates
- 58:40Speaker 35: when a Republican primary is over. We've held our nose
- 58:43Speaker 35: and voted Republican so many times that the smell doesn't
- 58:47Speaker 35: stink anymore.
- 58:48Speaker 12: It's your turn.
- 58:49Speaker 35: Whatever problems you have with Paxton, and he's got a few,
- 58:52Speaker 35: pale in comparison to the damage that will be done
- 58:56Speaker 35: if you allow a Democrat to win a Senate race
- 58:59Speaker 35: in Texas. Besides, he doesn't sport any swastikas, his relationships
- 59:04Speaker 35: with women were consensual, and he thinks Hamas is a
- 59:08Speaker 35: bunch of murderers. With Tallarico, you get men playing in
- 59:12Speaker 35: women's sports, the DEI agenda, unfettered illegal immigration, and handcuffs
- 59:18Speaker 35: on police, not criminal. So starting with John Cornyn's Senate buddies,
- 59:22Speaker 35: John Thune and Rick Scott, get over it before it's
- 59:25Speaker 35: too late. Spend the money. Saying I told you so
- 59:29Speaker 35: might make you feel better, but only briefly besides. We
- 59:33Speaker 35: wouldn't be in this position if Cornyn had retired and
- 59:37Speaker 35: let a new generation take over.
- 59:39Speaker 19: Texas Republicans read.
- 59:41Speaker 35: The polling and knew he was done for.
- 59:44Speaker 11: But you all.
- 59:45Speaker 35: Seem to think that you're indispensable. I'm Ben Strewsand, and
- 59:51Speaker 35: that's my view.
- 59:53Speaker 3: Ben Strewsand, only on AM700 KSEV.
- 1:00:00Speaker 36: Thank goodness our weather experts are providing us with hurricane
- 1:00:03Speaker 36: tracking charts and reminding us to be prepared for big storms.
- 1:00:06Speaker 36: But they overlook one very important thing, the damage and
- 1:00:09Speaker 36: destruction from broken limbs and uprooted trees. Call Lewis Flory
- 1:00:12Speaker 36: at Ability Tree Experts today. My friend for nearly 40 years.
- 1:00:17Speaker 36: At 281-441-4179 and let him explain how this problem can
- 1:00:21Speaker 36: be minimized with professional pruning. You see, when the tree
- 1:00:24Speaker 36: canopy is too thick and dense, the tree can be
- 1:00:27Speaker 36: completely blown over and tree limbs broken. causing terrible damage
- 1:00:31Speaker 36: to the tree and maybe your home.
- 1:00:33Speaker 12: Where tree limbs break.
- 1:00:35Speaker 36: Sap will ooze, and that attracts harmful insects. So you
- 1:00:38Speaker 36: need to call Louis Flory today at 281-441-4179 and have
- 1:00:44Speaker 36: his experts come out and professionally prune your trees to
- 1:00:47Speaker 36: withstand sudden storms that are so frequent this time of year.
- 1:00:51Speaker 36: Visit their website at AbilityTrees.com. That's 281-441-4179. Ability Tree Experts,
- 1:00:58Speaker 36: Houston's leading tree care professional.
- 1:01:00Speaker 9: KSEV, 700 AM. Launch Control, this is Houston.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: We are going to launch. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
- 1:01:16Speaker 11: That's Chris X Radio. Chris X Radio.
- 1:01:24Speaker 8: What we need right now is a clear message to
- 1:01:26Speaker 8: the people of this country.
- 1:01:28Speaker 7: This message must.
- 1:01:29Speaker 24: Be read in every newspaper, heard on every radio, seen
- 1:01:32Speaker 24: on every television.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: This message must resound throughout the entire interlakeness.
- 1:01:37Speaker 11: And now, your host. I believe this is going to
- 1:01:39Speaker 11: be our finest hour.
- 1:01:40Speaker 9: Chris X.
- 1:01:51Speaker 12: Oh, man, it is another manic Monday here in the Trumpocalypse.
- 1:01:56Speaker 12: Good evening and welcome to the second hour of Chris
- 1:01:58Speaker 12: X Radio. Glad to have you here with us. As
- 1:02:01Speaker 12: we come bearing that gift beyond price, it's almost free,
- 1:02:03Speaker 12: ladies and gentlemen. We bring you the spirit of talk radio.
- 1:02:07Speaker 12: I want to thank Jonathan Covey, the Director of Public
- 1:02:09Speaker 12: Policy for Texas with Texas Values. He joined us here
- 1:02:14Speaker 12: in the first hour talking about FaithFest. That's right, TexasFaithFest.com
- 1:02:18Speaker 12: is the website. If you want to come join us, Saturday,
- 1:02:22Speaker 12: September 26th from 9 to 5 p.m. at the Park
- 1:02:24Speaker 12: Social Special Events Center in Cedar Park, Texas. Right there
- 1:02:28Speaker 12: just outside of Austin. It's really basically in Austin. If
- 1:02:32Speaker 12: you're a student or a pastor, it is absolutely free.
- 1:02:35Speaker 12: For everybody else, just $ 39 a ticket. So look for
- 1:02:39Speaker 12: the red register button there at TexasFaithFest.com. You can go
- 1:02:41Speaker 12: get tickets. Come join me. I'll be there recording interviews
- 1:02:45Speaker 12: and hanging out, talking with people. So I'm looking forward
- 1:02:47Speaker 12: to that. I'm sure there'll be a... There's going to
- 1:02:50Speaker 12: be a whole lot going on. There always is. I've
- 1:02:51Speaker 12: been the last three years, and it is a great
- 1:02:54Speaker 12: event with a bunch of like-minded individuals. So I encourage
- 1:02:57Speaker 12: you to come on out. Once again, you can get
- 1:02:58Speaker 12: all the information, including the lineup. Keynote address will be
- 1:03:01Speaker 12: delivered by Brandon Gill, U.S. Congressman. He's a sharp guy.
- 1:03:06Speaker 12: I'm looking forward to meeting him. But also Dr. Tom
- 1:03:09Speaker 12: Oliverson will be there. I always enjoy seeing Tom and
- 1:03:12Speaker 12: a whole lot of others. Brooke Slusser and many others.
- 1:03:15Speaker 12: For some reason, I was having trouble with her name
- 1:03:17Speaker 12: in the first hour. And I've interviewed her once or twice.
- 1:03:19Speaker 12: She's great. Sometimes you just get stuck. Anyway, okay, so
- 1:03:25Speaker 12: there's a lot going on. I'm going to play some
- 1:03:26Speaker 12: audio for you here in just a minute. President Trump
- 1:03:30Speaker 12: dismissed warnings from leading AI executives saying that they're urging
- 1:03:36Speaker 12: a slower pace of AI development. And President Trump said,
- 1:03:39Speaker 12: whoever wins AI wins. I tend to believe them on this.
- 1:03:44Speaker 12: We need to make sure that we're utilizing AI in
- 1:03:46Speaker 12: the proper way. And once again, maybe guardrails. I'm still
- 1:03:50Speaker 12: not scared of it at all. And apparently when I
- 1:03:52Speaker 12: was on my video or short, we post on social media.
- 1:03:55Speaker 12: We now stream the show. You can always get the
- 1:03:58Speaker 12: podcast over at KCV radio dot com. Just click on
- 1:04:01Speaker 12: the podcast. Go there. It's also loaded at all of
- 1:04:04Speaker 12: your favorite podcast sites. You can find it there. And
- 1:04:07Speaker 12: then that way, if you want to check out Jonathan Covey,
- 1:04:09Speaker 12: you can always get it'll be posted shortly after the show.
- 1:04:13Speaker 12: But also we'd out stream the video from the program
- 1:04:17Speaker 12: and it's streamed on, on Rumble, YouTube, Twitter X and Facebook.
- 1:04:23Speaker 12: And apparently there was some trolls got on, they're coming
- 1:04:26Speaker 12: after me. It's so hilarious. I love when the other
- 1:04:29Speaker 12: side comes after me and they're asking if I ever
- 1:04:31Speaker 12: heard a wifi. Lukash, what is this wifi they speak of?
- 1:04:36Speaker 12: I've never heard of such a thing and I definitely
- 1:04:38Speaker 12: don't use it every single day of my life. No, really? Okay,
- 1:04:46Speaker 12: maybe I know exactly what Wi-Fi is, but it is
- 1:04:48Speaker 12: just so hilarious. Love watching people go on. The internet
- 1:04:54Speaker 12: is not a real place. literally it's cyberspace. So it's
- 1:04:58Speaker 12: not a real place. And the, but the people are
- 1:05:00Speaker 12: real and the trolls are real and they're hilarious. So
- 1:05:03Speaker 12: what I have, and I, Lucas was telling me about those.
- 1:05:05Speaker 12: I need to go check them out every now and
- 1:05:06Speaker 12: then some people will go on. We post our short
- 1:05:09Speaker 12: videos there, you know, at KSCV radio, if you're on
- 1:05:12Speaker 12: Facebook or Twitter or YouTube and you go check them out,
- 1:05:15Speaker 12: occasionally they'll the, the, the outrage mob will get outraged
- 1:05:21Speaker 12: over something or nothing or all of the above and,
- 1:05:24Speaker 12: So anyway, so we're talking about AI. So people are
- 1:05:28Speaker 12: trying to teach me about Wi-Fi because I got to
- 1:05:31Speaker 12: learn about Wi-Fi.
- 1:05:32Speaker 11: What?
- 1:05:35Speaker 12: President Trump, apparently, I imagine they're fans of this. President
- 1:05:38Speaker 12: Trump has scrapped a 10% tariff on all Irish whiskey
- 1:05:42Speaker 12: as a parting gift to Ireland. He said it was
- 1:05:45Speaker 12: going there. Everybody was asking him about it. He said everyone,
- 1:05:48Speaker 12: including Irish Prime Minister Michael Martine. I think it's, I
- 1:05:56Speaker 12: should probably say it with an Irish accent, Michael Martin. Oh,
- 1:05:59Speaker 12: he's just like Father O'Malley. Anyway, the crowd erupted into
- 1:06:05Speaker 12: cheers and rounds of applause at the news. With Irish
- 1:06:08Speaker 12: Open winner Shane Lowry was among them. Trump said, Trump said,
- 1:06:12Speaker 12: everybody's been bugging me to do it, okay? So I said,
- 1:06:15Speaker 12: on behalf of the United States of America, I'm going
- 1:06:18Speaker 12: to take the tariffs off of Irish whiskey, okay? So
- 1:06:24Speaker 12: they were all upset by that. By the way, you know,
- 1:06:29Speaker 12: I don't do the program on Fridays. The Amigos take
- 1:06:31Speaker 12: over on Friday. So they talked about 9-11 a little
- 1:06:33Speaker 12: bit on Friday. Somebody who talked about 9-11 and has
- 1:06:37Speaker 12: a surprisingly coherent take, which Bill Maher's not an idiot,
- 1:06:41Speaker 12: but he is a liberal and he's always going to
- 1:06:42Speaker 12: be a liberal. I don't see him changing his stripes.
- 1:06:46Speaker 12: Every now and then he gets something right. And on
- 1:06:48Speaker 12: the 25th memorial of 9-11, He had a segment called
- 1:06:53Speaker 12: Clash of the Civilizations, and he got it and got
- 1:06:56Speaker 12: it right. I want you to hear this. It's a
- 1:06:58Speaker 12: little long, but I'm going to play it so you
- 1:07:00Speaker 12: guys can hear it. I edited some of the applause
- 1:07:02Speaker 12: and some of the stuff out, but I want you
- 1:07:04Speaker 12: to hear it because he pretty much nailed it. There's
- 1:07:05Speaker 12: a couple of things, maybe not, but most of it
- 1:07:08Speaker 12: he gets. Take a listen. This is Bill Maher on 9-11,
- 1:07:12Speaker 12: and boy, I think he nailed it head on.
- 1:07:15Speaker 13: Yep.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: 100%.
- 1:07:15Speaker 11: It's true. He's right. Really, no cap.
- 1:07:46Speaker 21: Now, a lot of media outlets don't even want you
- 1:07:49Speaker 21: to say the T word. On the 20th anniversary, four
- 1:07:53Speaker 21: American journalism associations put out guidance that said that terrorism
- 1:07:57Speaker 21: should only be used in quotes.
- 1:08:00Speaker 12: This is why when I say the media, the lamestream media,
- 1:08:02Speaker 12: the propaganda apparatus of the Democrat cult, is the enemy
- 1:08:05Speaker 12: of the American people. He goes on to articulate this perfectly.
- 1:08:09Speaker 21: Because it's emotionally and politically loaded. Yeah, so is the
- 1:08:12Speaker 21: World Cup, but we don't put soccer in quotes.
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: Really?
- 1:08:17Speaker 21: We can't anymore just say out loud who the bad guys.
- 1:08:21Speaker 11: Were that morning?
- 1:08:21Speaker 21: Those 19 hijackers? They shared something. Oh, let's call it
- 1:08:26Speaker 21: a worldview. And it wasn't astrology. But somehow over time,
- 1:08:32Speaker 21: we've decided not to harp on that, the whole business
- 1:08:35Speaker 21: about who wanted us dead and why. Let's not put
- 1:08:38Speaker 21: a name on it. When it comes to terrorist attacks, please,
- 1:08:41Speaker 21: there are very fine people on both sides.
- 1:08:45Speaker 11: Canadian state TV.
- 1:08:47Speaker 21: Told its reporters, do not refer to the September 11th
- 1:08:50Speaker 21: attacks as terrorist attacks.
- 1:08:52Speaker 13: No?
- 1:08:53Speaker 11: Even though the very definition of.
- 1:08:55Speaker 21: Terrorism is using violence against civilians to pursue ideological goals?
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: What?
- 1:09:00Speaker 12: Should we call it then see this is where he
- 1:09:02Speaker 12: nails it this is where liberalism is a mental disorder
- 1:09:06Speaker 12: and how he's continually stays a liberal i don't get
- 1:09:09Speaker 12: but this is where he ventures off the reservation for.
- 1:09:12Speaker 11: Sure unruly passenger.
- 1:09:15Speaker 21: And he's funny a wrong turn taken at the chrysler
- 1:09:18Speaker 21: building Why not just say the planes and the towers
- 1:09:22Speaker 21: got into a fight? I mean, after all, as the
- 1:09:27Speaker 21: BBC advised its reporters, using the word terrorist can be a, quote,
- 1:09:32Speaker 21: barrier rather than an aid to understanding. You know what's
- 1:09:36Speaker 21: really a barrier to understanding?
- 1:09:39Speaker 11: Lying.
- 1:09:41Speaker 21: Back in 2001, after.
- 1:09:43Speaker 11: The attack, I said this. Political correctness itself... is something
- 1:09:48Speaker 11: we can no longer afford.
- 1:09:50Speaker 21: Feelings are going to get hurt so that actual people won't.
- 1:09:55Speaker 11: Well, it didn't last.
- 1:09:58Speaker 12: First of all, he nails it. I mean, he freaking
- 1:09:59Speaker 12: nails it. So he's right on. We would rather your
- 1:10:02Speaker 12: feelings get hurt than people actually get hurt. But that's
- 1:10:05Speaker 12: not the Democrat Party today. But he nails it. He
- 1:10:07Speaker 12: says it didn't last.
- 1:10:09Speaker 11: He's right.
- 1:10:10Speaker 12: It didn't last. And then also this.
- 1:10:12Speaker 11: I mean, my show.
- 1:10:15Speaker 21: As for the idea of ditching political correctness and actually
- 1:10:18Speaker 21: being honest, that never even got off the ground.
- 1:10:21Speaker 11: After 9-11, there was a big debate.
- 1:10:24Speaker 21: Was this a clash of civilizations? It was, and it
- 1:10:28Speaker 21: still is. Not between Muslims and Christians. No reasonable person
- 1:10:32Speaker 21: was saying that. But radical Islamism versus Western liberalism?
- 1:10:37Speaker 11: Yes, that's a real thing.
- 1:10:39Speaker 21: Fighting people who hate freedom of religion and hate homosexuals?
- 1:10:44Speaker 21: and hate the idea of women as equal and free humans,
- 1:10:47Speaker 21: how did liberals wind up on their side?
- 1:10:50Speaker 11: And many did. One in five young Americans.
- 1:10:53Speaker 21: Now has a positive view of Osama bin Laden. He's
- 1:10:56Speaker 21: like Luigi Mangione in a turban. You hear it in
- 1:11:01Speaker 21: a lot of places now that the worst thing about
- 1:11:03Speaker 21: 9-11 was innocent Muslims came under suspicion.
- 1:11:07Speaker 11: Yeah, where that did happen, it's wrong.
- 1:11:10Speaker 21: But the worst thing about 9-11... was 3,000 people got
- 1:11:14Speaker 21: roasted at the office. But the prevailing view of so
- 1:11:17Speaker 21: many young people is that, well, come on, we're the
- 1:11:20Speaker 21: worst country ever, so if someone attacks us, that can't
- 1:11:22Speaker 21: be all bad. That certainly wasn't the attitude 25 years ago.
- 1:11:27Speaker 21: In fact, I know a guy whose show got canceled
- 1:11:29Speaker 21: just for saying the terrorists weren't cowards. And that guy
- 1:11:33Speaker 21: was right. They weren't cowards. But I'll tell you who is.
- 1:11:37Speaker 21: Democratic Party politicians. And I'll tell you why. Because nowhere
- 1:11:41Speaker 21: has this moral confusion become more obvious than in a
- 1:11:44Speaker 21: place called Gaza. A little strip of land that was
- 1:11:47Speaker 21: not part of the original Israel. but which they won
- 1:11:50Speaker 21: in a war launched against them, but then gave back
- 1:11:54Speaker 21: as a peace gesture.
- 1:11:55Speaker 11: Did they tell you that part on TikTok, kids?
- 1:11:58Speaker 21: And the people who run Gaza, Hamas, who you celebrate
- 1:12:01Speaker 21: as a liberation movement, but are really a terrorist mafia gang,
- 1:12:05Speaker 21: just like the one that terrorizes Haiti?
- 1:12:07Speaker 11: Only ever used it to stage attacks on Israel.
- 1:12:10Speaker 21: I think Macklemore spoke for all clueless celebrities when he said,
- 1:12:14Speaker 21: I know enough to know this is a genocide.
- 1:12:16Speaker 11: It's not. It's not a genocide.
- 1:12:19Speaker 21: It's a counterattack in a war, a war that's been
- 1:12:21Speaker 21: waged on Israel since 1948 based on the ridiculous premise
- 1:12:26Speaker 21: that Jews don't belong in the one place on earth
- 1:12:29Speaker 21: they are indigenous and indisputably their ancestral homeland.
- 1:12:33Speaker 12: He nails this. He absolutely nails it. And what's amazing
- 1:12:39Speaker 12: is how many people will ignore all of the facts
- 1:12:41Speaker 12: that he espouses in order to come up with, it's
- 1:12:44Speaker 12: the Jews' fault and I hate the Jews.
- 1:12:45Speaker 11: Hey, geniuses, they're the Indians in this scenario.
- 1:12:48Speaker 21: Ariana Grande reposted that starving people to death is a
- 1:12:54Speaker 21: red line.
- 1:12:55Speaker 11: Well, who would know better about starving?
- 1:12:57Speaker 21: But make no mistake, any famine that happened in Gaza
- 1:13:03Speaker 21: is because Hamas stole the food. just like the Haitian
- 1:13:07Speaker 21: gangs do. Israel ran 94,000 trucks carrying over 1.8 million
- 1:13:13Speaker 21: tons of aid into Gaza and enabled over 36,000 patients
- 1:13:17Speaker 21: to leave Gaza for treatment abroad, which you TikTok historians
- 1:13:22Speaker 21: might be interested to learn are not things countries usually.
- 1:13:26Speaker 11: Do for their enemies during a war and.
- 1:13:30Speaker 21: Certainly not what you would do if you were trying
- 1:13:32Speaker 21: for a genocide.
- 1:13:35Speaker 9: Right on.
- 1:13:36Speaker 21: Gaza equals genocide is a lie, an easily provable lie.
- 1:13:42Speaker 21: And the fact that so many prominent Democrats go along
- 1:13:45Speaker 21: with it is, to me, the party's worst moment since
- 1:13:48Speaker 21: they undid Reconstruction after the Civil War. Democrats are policing
- 1:13:53Speaker 21: their candidates really hard on this issue.
- 1:13:57Speaker 31: Say it.
- 1:13:58Speaker 11: Say it's a genocide.
- 1:14:00Speaker 23: Say it.
- 1:14:01Speaker 11: But, you know... Yes.
- 1:14:03Speaker 21: Words do have actual meanings. Side means to kill. Fratricide,
- 1:14:10Speaker 21: kill your brother. Homicide, kill your fellow human. Suicide, kill yourself. Genocide,
- 1:14:17Speaker 21: kill or try to kill an entire people. You can't
- 1:14:20Speaker 21: just change the definition of genocide to mean counterattack in
- 1:14:24Speaker 21: a war where people, including civilians, die.
- 1:14:27Speaker 11: That's every war.
- 1:14:29Speaker 21: There have been about 73,000 deaths in Gaza, about 3%
- 1:14:33Speaker 21: of the population.
- 1:14:34Speaker 11: Tragic. Terrible. Not genocide, not close.
- 1:14:38Speaker 21: There were 3 million Jews in Poland before World War II.
- 1:14:42Speaker 3: After?
- 1:14:42Speaker 12: 45,000.
- 1:14:43Speaker 11: That's genocide. If you're one of the many people these
- 1:14:47Speaker 11: days asking... This.
- 1:14:49Speaker 21: Explosion of anti-Semitism around the world that we see, where
- 1:14:53Speaker 21: is it coming from?
- 1:14:54Speaker 11: This is where it's coming from.
- 1:14:56Speaker 21: Because if you really think someone is committing genocide, of
- 1:14:59Speaker 21: course you have full permission to hate them. And history shows,
- 1:15:03Speaker 21: for whatever reason, when it comes to hating the Jews,
- 1:15:06Speaker 21: people don't need a lot of permission.
- 1:15:09Speaker 12: Once again, he couldn't have nailed it any harder. He's
- 1:15:12Speaker 12: dead on. He used facts and evidence and logic and
- 1:15:17Speaker 12: things that is completely omitted from the argument. And you've
- 1:15:21Speaker 12: heard me debate with the anti-Jew people, the anti-Israel people,
- 1:15:25Speaker 12: and now we have a whole culture of it here.
- 1:15:27Speaker 12: You want to know how the Holocaust occurred? This is
- 1:15:30Speaker 12: how it occurred. You ignore facts and logic to come
- 1:15:33Speaker 12: to a conclusion that Jews are bad people, Jews are evil.
- 1:15:37Speaker 12: And he tied it in with Islamification. With what's happened
- 1:15:41Speaker 12: on September 25th, 2001. I'm sorry, September 11th, 2001. It's
- 1:15:47Speaker 12: the 25th memorial. They keep calling it anniversary. I don't
- 1:15:51Speaker 12: like to call it anniversary. I call it the memorial.
- 1:15:53Speaker 12: It was a terrible day. Happened in 9-11-12 as well.
- 1:16:01Speaker 12: That was another terrorist attack that we were told was
- 1:16:03Speaker 12: a protest that spiraled out of control. The Democrat Party
- 1:16:07Speaker 12: has been lying to us forever. And they're not going
- 1:16:10Speaker 12: to stop. And they're not going to change their stripes.
- 1:16:13Speaker 12: Just like radical Islamists don't change their stripes. They will
- 1:16:16Speaker 12: continue doing what they do. And of all people, you
- 1:16:19Speaker 12: guys know that I'm not a big fan of Bill Maher.
- 1:16:22Speaker 12: I don't like his liberalism. I generally don't watch his show.
- 1:16:25Speaker 12: And I don't watch his show. There's a clip that
- 1:16:27Speaker 12: was posted on. I was like, oh, brother, let's hear
- 1:16:29Speaker 12: his take. And he freaking was right on the money.
- 1:16:32Speaker 12: He nailed it. Those who do not study history are
- 1:16:38Speaker 12: doomed to repeat it. And unfortunately, we now have a
- 1:16:43Speaker 12: group of people in our country whose scope of history
- 1:16:46Speaker 12: is about as long as their arm. If that. All right,
- 1:16:51Speaker 12: let's take a break because now we're over. Now I
- 1:16:53Speaker 12: know Lukasz is looking at his watch going.
- 1:16:54Speaker 11: All right.
- 1:16:56Speaker 12: If you want to join us, 281-558-KSEB, 281-558-5738. That's why
- 1:17:02Speaker 12: when you hear the trans community, like the clown, the Warchaski,
- 1:17:07Speaker 12: the lady that's a dude. After they made The Matrix,
- 1:17:11Speaker 12: she had a sex change and became a woman, and
- 1:17:13Speaker 12: all her movies suck now. Every movie they've done since then.
- 1:17:17Speaker 12: But she says that J.K. Rowling and Elon Musk, they're
- 1:17:20Speaker 12: literal Nazis, and those who support Harry Potter are committing
- 1:17:25Speaker 12: to genocide in the trans community. That's why you don't
- 1:17:28Speaker 12: let them redefine the word. They're liars. 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738. You're
- 1:17:37Speaker 12: listening to Chris X Radio. We're just getting rolling here
- 1:17:40Speaker 12: in hour number two. If you want to join us, 281-558-5738.
- 1:17:48Speaker 9: Elections have consequences. So does your radio dial. Don't touch it.
- 1:17:53Speaker 9: Chris X Radio returns after this.
- 1:17:56Speaker 28: When it comes to garage doors, no one knows more.
- 1:17:59Speaker 11: Than the doctor.
- 1:18:00Speaker 14: Garage door doctor.
- 1:18:03Speaker 23: We got a call late New Year's Eve.
- 1:18:05Speaker 24: A father with big plans for his family the next
- 1:18:07Speaker 24: day said his garage door spring just snapped. He couldn't
- 1:18:10Speaker 24: get his car out and wouldn't be able to get
- 1:18:11Speaker 24: his family to where they needed to go. He felt
- 1:18:13Speaker 24: stuck and alone. So we showed up fast. with the
- 1:18:17Speaker 24: right spring and the right parts to fix it right.

- 1:18:25Speaker 24: it's never just about the job.
- 1:18:27Speaker 11: It's about the person behind it.

- 1:18:35Speaker 24: we're the ones.
- 1:18:35Speaker 11: That show up.

- 1:18:41Speaker 24: life matters and what we do matters. And we know

- 1:18:48Speaker 9: Hi, I'm Kathy.
- 1:18:49Speaker 11: With Baker Mortgage.
- 1:19:05Speaker 20: And we want you to take the right path when
- 1:19:07Speaker 20: it comes to your mortgage. You know, we live in
- 1:19:09Speaker 20: a world of information overload, but always consider the source.
- 1:19:13Speaker 20: And these are not generally going to be from your
- 1:19:15Speaker 20: big bank or a random offer that comes across your screen. Remember,
- 1:19:19Speaker 20: you're always going to get a better deal on one
- 1:19:22Speaker 20: that you go looking for than one that comes looking
- 1:19:24Speaker 20: for you. You need to deal with somebody who gives
- 1:19:27Speaker 20: a you-know-what, whether or not you're happy in the end.
- 1:19:29Speaker 20: At Baker Mortgage, we do it right. We haven't been
- 1:19:32Speaker 20: around for 68 years because we're lucky. We don't sell CDs, insurance,
- 1:19:37Speaker 20: or anything else. We just provide a great mortgage experience.
- 1:19:41Speaker 20: Isn't that what you're looking for? Call us at Baker Mortgage.
- 1:19:44Speaker 20: I promise you'll be glad you did. We're at 281-313-MOVE

- 1:19:51Speaker 7: Equal Housing Lender. License number 263213.
- 1:19:55Speaker 6: If you have roof problems, you can sure see them
- 1:19:58Speaker 6: when it rains.
- 1:19:58Speaker 4: This is Deb Tejada from Tejas Roofing.
- 1:20:01Speaker 6: If you see a leak, call me immediately.
- 1:20:03Speaker 4: 281-251-0304. I'll send over the Tejas Roof Repair Truck.
- 1:20:09Speaker 5: That truck has everything our experienced crew needs to fix
- 1:20:12Speaker 5: your roof, right then and there.
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: The Tejas Roofing Crew has been working together fixing leaky
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: roofs for 15 years.
- 1:20:18Speaker 5: It's not a pretty truck, but it has everything we
- 1:20:20Speaker 5: need to get the job done. I kind of like
- 1:20:22Speaker 5: the way it looks.
- 1:20:23Speaker 4: Most roofing repairs cost less than $ 500.
- 1:20:26Speaker 32: Why?
- 1:20:26Speaker 4: Because we find the cause of the leak and repair
- 1:20:29Speaker 4: that leak. We won't try to sell you services you
- 1:20:31Speaker 4: don't need.
- 1:20:32Speaker 5: And we'll fix it right away because everything we need,
- 1:20:34Speaker 5: it's in our truck.
- 1:20:35Speaker 4: Don't put off fixing a leaky roof. Call me at
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: Tejas Roofing and I'll send over the truck.
- 1:20:41Speaker 28: 281-251-0304.
- 1:20:43Speaker 4: When you think of roofing repairs or a new roof,
- 1:20:45Speaker 4: think Tejas Roofing, your Houston roofing company.
- 1:20:48Speaker 36: 281-251-0304.
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: That's Tejas Roofing, 281-251-0304.
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: And now.
- 1:20:56Speaker 9: Back to Chris X Radio on The Voice of Texas.
- 1:21:15Speaker 12: Welcome back to Chris X Radio. I'm the aforementioned X-Man.
- 1:21:18Speaker 12: Glad to have you here with us. And now we're
- 1:21:20Speaker 12: number two. We've only got, what, really three? Well, three segments,
- 1:21:24Speaker 12: but one of them now, this one's very short. So
- 1:21:26Speaker 12: it'll really be two segments if you want to try
- 1:21:28Speaker 12: to get in at 281-558-KSCB, 281-558-5738. Like I said, I
- 1:21:30Speaker 12: played a very long segment, and I edited it down
- 1:21:32Speaker 12: a little bit. But for the most part, that was
- 1:21:39Speaker 12: what he said. And I edited out a lot of
- 1:21:41Speaker 12: the applause because he got really long rounds of applause
- 1:21:44Speaker 12: in it. But it was Bill Maher. And it was
- 1:21:46Speaker 12: his segment called New Rules on real time on HBO,
- 1:21:51Speaker 12: which I don't have HBO anymore, so don't watch it. But,
- 1:21:54Speaker 12: of course, it hit on the Internet, the interwebs. And
- 1:21:58Speaker 12: he was recognizing the 25th memorial of 9-11, title Clash
- 1:22:02Speaker 12: of the Civilizations. And this is where one of those
- 1:22:04Speaker 12: times where Bill Maher really gets it. Like I said,
- 1:22:07Speaker 12: he's an old school– he's sort of, I guess, leaned
- 1:22:11Speaker 12: towards the classical liberal, which is more libertarian. And I
- 1:22:15Speaker 12: think he's actually probably more libertarian than he would be liberal,
- 1:22:19Speaker 12: but he's one of those guys who just can't find
- 1:22:21Speaker 12: himself to get there. And he stays, like I said,
- 1:22:24Speaker 12: fully ingrained in the Democrat cult while criticizing them constantly.
- 1:22:28Speaker 12: But then he oftentimes and generally votes for them. And
- 1:22:31Speaker 12: he did say something recently.
- 1:22:32Speaker 11: What was it at it?
- 1:22:33Speaker 12: You know, if the Democrats keep going with these radical leftists,
- 1:22:37Speaker 12: because when it comes with Islam, you know, the Islamification
- 1:22:40Speaker 12: of the country and, you know, that sort of stuff,
- 1:22:47Speaker 12: he tends to side with us on our side. And
- 1:22:49Speaker 12: when it comes to 9-11, he got it. And he
- 1:22:52Speaker 12: does get it. And he nails it because many people
- 1:22:54Speaker 12: have forgotten. And he talks about the propaganda in the
- 1:22:57Speaker 12: media on how they are. And once again, on the
- 1:23:02Speaker 12: opposite end of the spectrum, you've got James Tallarico, who's
- 1:23:05Speaker 12: basically saying that parents who deny children's gender identity are abusive. Yeah,
- 1:23:11Speaker 12: let's take away the parents' authority to determine what their
- 1:23:14Speaker 12: children are, allow children to decide. This is as smart
- 1:23:17Speaker 12: as sometimes you just have to listen to the kids. No,
- 1:23:20Speaker 12: not when it comes to voting and not when it
- 1:23:22Speaker 12: comes to life-altering decisions like mutilating your body. It's stupid.
- 1:23:28Speaker 12: But then again, Talarico is a Talafreak show, so let's
- 1:23:31Speaker 12: listen to what Talafreak goes. It seems every week he
- 1:23:33Speaker 12: comes out with something else he said that just further
- 1:23:37Speaker 12: proves that he is not a moderate. No, no, no, no.
- 1:23:39Speaker 12: He is a leftist, radical weirdo.
- 1:23:42Speaker 14: There are some folks that would think that if you
- 1:23:45Speaker 14: deny your child's gender identity, that that's incredibly harmful.
- 1:23:49Speaker 11: And whether or not we can label it with the term.
- 1:23:52Speaker 14: Abuse, I mean, it's abusive for sure.
- 1:23:54Speaker 11: No, it's not.
- 1:23:55Speaker 14: That's where I think some of us have concerns.
- 1:23:57Speaker 12: You're a weirdo. With a microphone.
- 1:24:01Speaker 13: Are you suggesting in order to say that it should
- 1:24:03Speaker 13: include a person's willingness or unwillingness to acknowledge a child's gender,
- 1:24:07Speaker 13: or should it be silent as to whether that is abuse?
- 1:24:11Speaker 14: My just concern is ruling it out as not being abused,
- 1:24:15Speaker 14: I think, is dangerous and could certainly harm some of
- 1:24:19Speaker 14: our most vulnerable kids in the state.
- 1:24:21Speaker 12: So what you're saying, Telefreak Show, is when it comes
- 1:24:23Speaker 12: to children being modified by doctors, which means genital mutilation,
- 1:24:30Speaker 12: parents shouldn't have a say in that? All of a sudden,
- 1:24:33Speaker 12: parenting doesn't count anymore, even though the parents are financially...
- 1:24:37Speaker 12: and legally responsible for those children until they're, what, 17,
- 1:24:40Speaker 12: 18 years old? You think we should just strip away
- 1:24:43Speaker 12: that because you're a trans-obsessed weirdo? And he is a
- 1:24:47Speaker 12: trans-obsessed weirdo. It's utterly insane. All right, let's take a
- 1:24:55Speaker 12: short break. We'll come back, go to the phones on

- 1:25:52Speaker 5: Once the water enters the structure, the trouble starts. Water

- 1:29:26Speaker 12: Let's go right back to the phones. As promised, we'll
- 1:29:29Speaker 12: pick up with Richard and Katie. Richard, thank you for
- 1:29:31Speaker 12: hanging on. Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 1:29:34Speaker 37: Hey, Trish, how are you doing? Thank you for taking
- 1:29:37Speaker 37: my call. I heard you making mention about all these
- 1:29:41Speaker 37: people that are condemning Jews, and it reminded me of
- 1:29:45Speaker 37: the fact that I heard Benjamin Netanyahu a while back
- 1:29:51Speaker 37: talk about an arch. It's called the Arch of Titus,
- 1:29:58Speaker 37: and it's close to Rome. You can Google this, and
- 1:30:01Speaker 37: you can look at it. And, in fact, I'm looking
- 1:30:04Speaker 37: at it right now as we speak. And this arch
- 1:30:07Speaker 37: has the Roman soldiers. They had conquered and burnt the
- 1:30:12Speaker 37: city of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. And they were carrying
- 1:30:17Speaker 37: out all the articles from the temple. And one of
- 1:30:23Speaker 37: those articles was the menorah. And so they have this
- 1:30:27Speaker 37: in Rome on this arch. And, I mean, you can't
- 1:30:31Speaker 37: argue with history. And I just thought it was interesting
- 1:30:36Speaker 37: and unusual, you know, that people would be so duped
- 1:30:40Speaker 37: into thinking, you know, that those people were not entitled
- 1:30:44Speaker 37: to be there in that land because that's where they
- 1:30:46Speaker 37: came from.
- 1:30:48Speaker 12: It's interesting, Richard, because we now have there's multiple lines
- 1:30:52Speaker 12: of evidence to go back and show that the the
- 1:30:54Speaker 12: the Israelites were repressed by the Roman Empire. And absolutely,
- 1:30:58Speaker 12: that occurred. And yes, is the Arch of Titus that
- 1:31:00Speaker 12: you mentioned. And it's it's out there was via Sacra.
- 1:31:03Speaker 12: Rome was where it was located. So but no, absolutely.
- 1:31:06Speaker 12: That's what they did. So this was their ancestral homeland
- 1:31:09Speaker 12: homeland land that was conquered by the Romans and And
- 1:31:13Speaker 12: then once again, now we have people that go on
- 1:31:16Speaker 12: and say they don't have a right to exist. They
- 1:31:17Speaker 12: don't have a right to be there because they determined
- 1:31:20Speaker 12: it's it's it's very bizarre that we live in this
- 1:31:23Speaker 12: world where for some reason it is OK to hate
- 1:31:26Speaker 12: the Jews and attack the Jews, because that is the
- 1:31:29Speaker 12: line of thinking throughout the world. But especially prevalent in
- 1:31:32Speaker 12: our media, the propaganda apparatus of the Democrat cult. But
- 1:31:36Speaker 12: the way that they do this. And it's just a
- 1:31:39Speaker 12: sort of– it's a bizarre situation that where we find
- 1:31:41Speaker 12: ourselves in where there's just one little level of people
- 1:31:44Speaker 12: that it is okay to discriminate against. And for whatever reason,
- 1:31:48Speaker 12: they cannot detect the hypocrisy within their own language. It's
- 1:31:52Speaker 12: very weird.
- 1:31:55Speaker 37: To be honest with you, I didn't tell the screener this,
- 1:31:58Speaker 37: but– No, I.
- 1:32:03Speaker 12: Think we lost you, Richard.
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: We lost him.
- 1:32:08Speaker 12: Sorry, Richard, we have to let you go because your
- 1:32:10Speaker 12: phone's cutting out, and I couldn't hear what you were saying.
- 1:32:12Speaker 12: But hopefully we can figure out what you were saying there. But, yeah,
- 1:32:16Speaker 12: it is interesting, and there's always been a big debate
- 1:32:19Speaker 12: between Jews and Muslims, and, well, we've seen how this goes.
- 1:32:26Speaker 12: All right, 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738. Appreciate the phone call. Let's go
- 1:32:29Speaker 12: to David listening in spring. David, thanks for hanging on.
- 1:32:31Speaker 12: Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 1:32:34Speaker 30: Thanks, Chris.
- 1:32:35Speaker 10: I completely agree with you. Israel has a right to exist,
- 1:32:40Speaker 10: and I'm just concerned that all of this anti-Israel propaganda,
- 1:32:45Speaker 10: like people were living there before, you know, displacing the
- 1:32:49Speaker 10: people that were living there before, and talking about all
- 1:32:53Speaker 10: these settlements that these Orthodox Jews are building on farms
- 1:33:01Speaker 10: and land. that Palestinian people are already living on. All
- 1:33:09Speaker 10: these false accusations of that, it's despicable. And you know what? Yes,
- 1:33:15Speaker 10: we spend a lot of money militarily for Israel, but
- 1:33:19Speaker 10: when have we not spent money for our countries that
- 1:33:24Speaker 10: go with our interests?
- 1:33:25Speaker 7: The U.S.
- 1:33:27Speaker 10: Needs to control the oil. They need to control the
- 1:33:29Speaker 10: oil supply. So why not have a base in there,
- 1:33:34Speaker 10: being an entire country, Israel, that can follow our interests.
- 1:33:39Speaker 10: I mean, it's just horrible. And, you know, they keep
- 1:33:43Speaker 10: talking about this stuff. It's like, now they're going to
- 1:33:46Speaker 10: bring up arguments for, you know, oh, the Israels need
- 1:33:50Speaker 10: to go back to their homeland. Well, what about the
- 1:33:52Speaker 10: Native Americans? And they're saying, oh, now we need to
- 1:33:55Speaker 10: give land back to the Native Americans that the European
- 1:34:01Speaker 10: settlers stole it from. I mean, we're a white Christian nation.
- 1:34:05Speaker 10: We won. The Native Americans were always fighting each other.
- 1:34:08Speaker 10: We deserve this land, and Israel needs to deserve a
- 1:34:14Speaker 10: Jewish homeland where Jewish people have more rights than anyone
- 1:34:19Speaker 10: that was living there previously after they took their homes.
- 1:34:24Speaker 12: Um, um, um, you're, you're kind of all over the place, David. Listen, um,
- 1:34:31Speaker 12: the Israelites were there back during the Romans times. Understand
- 1:34:34Speaker 12: the Romans were the ones who first deposed the Israelites
- 1:34:37Speaker 12: from their ancestral homeland. So that's why they call their
- 1:34:40Speaker 12: indigenous land where they were there at first. And then
- 1:34:43Speaker 12: since then, in the last 70-plus years since they have
- 1:34:46Speaker 12: gone back to their homeland, they have been attacked by
- 1:34:49Speaker 12: their neighbors. There was the Six-Day War. But they won
- 1:34:52Speaker 12: all of this. But they allowed to— they ceded room. In
- 1:34:55Speaker 12: other words, after winning, they still allowed room for Palestine
- 1:34:58Speaker 12: because Palestine's a little area that all of the Muslim
- 1:35:01Speaker 12: brothers in the surrounding areas didn't want those Muslim people
- 1:35:04Speaker 12: living in their countries. So they had to force them
- 1:35:06Speaker 12: into a place. And Israel gave them an area that
- 1:35:09Speaker 12: they call— Palestine. Now, the Palestinians have refused to get
- 1:35:13Speaker 12: along and continually attack Israel, who is constantly defending themselves
- 1:35:18Speaker 12: because they don't believe that Israel has a right to exist.
- 1:35:21Speaker 12: They don't believe that Israel should be there. And the
- 1:35:24Speaker 12: point that you made about us, you're absolutely right. We
- 1:35:26Speaker 12: spend a ton of money working with our allies. Look
- 1:35:29Speaker 12: how much money we spend in Ukraine with the Russian war.
- 1:35:32Speaker 12: So absolutely, that does go with our, you know, our
- 1:35:35Speaker 12: interest and our interests are important. And now we're learning
- 1:35:38Speaker 12: how important it is Our interest with oil, when you
- 1:35:41Speaker 12: look at what's happening with Iran and the Strait of
- 1:35:43Speaker 12: Hormuz and what's going on, that absolutely plays a part
- 1:35:46Speaker 12: in it. So I think I agree with your points,
- 1:35:50Speaker 12: but I'm not quite sure because I wasn't quite sure
- 1:35:54Speaker 12: what you were referring. Were you referring to the Palestinians
- 1:35:58Speaker 12: deserve that land or were you saying that Israel deserves
- 1:36:00Speaker 12: to keep the land where they have established a country?
- 1:36:05Speaker 10: Well, I think even if a people that are Israelites
- 1:36:11Speaker 10: or Jews, even if they have a majority European-based DNA,
- 1:36:16Speaker 10: like Jews, and genetically related to people from Europe, because
- 1:36:25Speaker 10: that genocide happened to them, I'm sorry, we deserve to,
- 1:36:31Speaker 10: like the United Nations did, all right, we're going to
- 1:36:34Speaker 10: send you back to Israel because that's what your religious
- 1:36:36Speaker 10: text said. And, you know, we're going to have to
- 1:36:39Speaker 10: displace some people. You know, we're going to have to
- 1:36:42Speaker 10: move some people out of the way. And we're going
- 1:36:45Speaker 10: to have to have mass immigration of these Jews because
- 1:36:49Speaker 10: America was founded on immigrants. And you know what? What
- 1:36:52Speaker 10: better way to represent our country than to have this
- 1:36:55Speaker 10: massive immigration of people into a country where everyone is
- 1:37:01Speaker 10: was already coexisting peacefully. Even previous Israeli settlers just, you know,
- 1:37:08Speaker 10: constantly go in there. And, yeah, I understand the peace
- 1:37:13Speaker 10: process that they tried. And Palestinians, like, are going for
- 1:37:17Speaker 10: these hardline Hamas. But I don't know. The Democrats keep
- 1:37:23Speaker 10: saying that the Israelites, citizens, they.
- 1:37:29Speaker 10: They spit on the Palestinians and they put fences and
- 1:37:32Speaker 10: gates and they don't let them go to schools and stuff.
- 1:37:35Speaker 10: I think it's a bunch of propaganda. And also the
- 1:37:39Speaker 10: Orthodox Jews spitting on the people and the Catholic churches
- 1:37:44Speaker 10: in Israel. That's a really horrible propaganda hit piece. And
- 1:37:48Speaker 10: if you search for it online, you'll see it. But
- 1:37:50Speaker 10: we know it's all AI, Chris.
- 1:37:52Speaker 2: It's all AI.
- 1:37:56Speaker 12: Well, if you're saying there's some bad people, I think
- 1:37:59Speaker 12: that goes for anywhere that has ever existed in the
- 1:38:01Speaker 12: history of mankind. But that being said, overall, Israel is
- 1:38:05Speaker 12: a state that welcomes not only Jews, but Christians and Muslims.
- 1:38:09Speaker 12: And you can actually go to Israel and interview Muslims
- 1:38:11Speaker 12: that live there peacefully that aren't trying to murder the Jews.
- 1:38:15Speaker 12: If you move over to the Gaza Strip and then
- 1:38:17Speaker 12: you get with Hamas, they have a very different perspective.
- 1:38:20Speaker 12: And I think October 7th sort of showed how they
- 1:38:24Speaker 12: feel about it. And unfortunately, that was celebrated throughout Palestine,
- 1:38:28Speaker 12: which you talk about— in existence. Once again, you have
- 1:38:31Speaker 12: to ignore a whole lot of information. And thank you
- 1:38:34Speaker 12: for the call, David. Your phone's not actually very good today.
- 1:38:36Speaker 12: So you're cutting out a lot. But the reality is,
- 1:38:38Speaker 12: is you have to ignore a whole lot of things
- 1:38:41Speaker 12: to come to the conclusion that Israel is bad. They
- 1:38:44Speaker 12: won the war. They had they once again, the Gaza Strip.
- 1:38:48Speaker 12: That was Israel. Israel turned it over and gave it.
- 1:38:51Speaker 12: to them and how have they been repaid have they
- 1:38:55Speaker 12: the other thing too is the united nations established they
- 1:38:58Speaker 12: said hey listen israel has a right to exist israel
- 1:39:01Speaker 12: said hey guess what palestine has a right to exist
- 1:39:04Speaker 12: we will give you the right to exist if you
- 1:39:06Speaker 12: will acknowledge that israel has a right to exist then
- 1:39:10Speaker 12: we can have a palestinian state side by side with
- 1:39:13Speaker 12: the state of israel you know what palestine said no
- 1:39:16Speaker 12: we want it all israel does not have the right
- 1:39:20Speaker 12: to exist That was a bad call by them because
- 1:39:27Speaker 12: they had a chance. They had the opportunity to have
- 1:39:31Speaker 12: a side-by-side state with Israel, but they didn't want that.
- 1:39:34Speaker 12: You know why? Because they want the Jews dead. They
- 1:39:37Speaker 12: hate the Jews. There's a lot of misinformation, and I
- 1:39:42Speaker 12: do believe you may have been pushing some of that
- 1:39:45Speaker 12: a little bit, but your phone was cutting out. It's
- 1:39:46Speaker 12: hard to tell. But they believe what they see on
- 1:39:49Speaker 12: TikTok and what is pushed by the lamestream media, the
- 1:39:52Speaker 12: propaganda apparatus, which is garbage. When you talk about a genocide,
- 1:39:57Speaker 12: they constantly say the genocide in Gaza. Bill Maher pointed
- 1:40:01Speaker 12: out how it is absolutely not a genocide. And when
- 1:40:03Speaker 12: you're committing a genocide, you don't drive trucks, thousands of
- 1:40:06Speaker 12: trucks with millions of pounds of food to the people
- 1:40:10Speaker 12: that you're trying to kill. Israel's not trying to kill people.
- 1:40:13Speaker 12: Do people get killed? Yeah, because they're in the middle
- 1:40:15Speaker 12: of a war zone. And unlike Israel, Hamas hides behind
- 1:40:19Speaker 12: hospitals and women and children and innocent people to make
- 1:40:23Speaker 12: sure that those people die whenever there is a conflict.
- 1:40:28Speaker 12: That is the part of the narrative that is completely
- 1:40:31Speaker 12: omitted and lied about on a regular basis. And when
- 1:40:34Speaker 12: you try to debate with someone on it, what do
- 1:40:36Speaker 12: they do? They go right back to the talking points.
- 1:40:39Speaker 12: Not that you would ever do that, David, but that's
- 1:40:41Speaker 12: what people do. All right, let's go and take a break.
- 1:40:45Speaker 12: You're listening to Chris X Radio. We've got one segment remaining.
- 1:40:49Speaker 12: If you want to join us, 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738. If anyone
- 1:40:56Speaker 12: has ever been to Israel, which I have not, but
- 1:40:58Speaker 12: I have friends that have been there, and I do
- 1:41:00Speaker 12: have the interwebs, so you can go look at Israel
- 1:41:03Speaker 12: and then look at it compared to all of the
- 1:41:05Speaker 12: surrounding countries. Look at their rights for their people, and
- 1:41:10Speaker 12: that includes Christians and Jews and What rights do Christians
- 1:41:16Speaker 12: have in Palestine? Or really any of their surrounding areas?
- 1:41:22Speaker 12: And once again, if Palestine is filled with Muslims that
- 1:41:25Speaker 12: deserve a right to exist, why does Egypt have a
- 1:41:27Speaker 12: wall built between Palestine and Egypt? Why don't their Muslim
- 1:41:31Speaker 12: brethren take them in? Ooh, that's a dirty little secret
- 1:41:35Speaker 12: the Muslims don't want to talk about.
- 1:41:39Speaker 4: 281-558-5738.
- 1:41:39Speaker 12: I'm Chris Hicks. We'll be right back out to wrap
- 1:41:42Speaker 12: up today's show.
- 1:41:46Speaker 9: The resistance is futile. Chris X Radio.

- 1:41:58Speaker 17: and country. In the past 50 years, people have been

- 1:42:03Speaker 17: Fight for what you believe in and protect your freedoms
- 1:42:06Speaker 17: before they're all taken away. Don't let anyone infringe on

- 1:42:20Speaker 12: I'm Kevin O'Hara.
- 1:42:21Speaker 17: God bless America, and God bless Texas.

- 1:42:54Speaker 36: Thank goodness our weather experts are providing us with hurricane
- 1:42:57Speaker 36: tracking charts and reminding us to be prepared for big storms.
- 1:43:00Speaker 36: But they overlook one very important thing, the damage and
- 1:43:03Speaker 36: destruction from broken limbs and uprooted trees. Call Lewis Flory
- 1:43:06Speaker 36: at Ability Tree Experts today. My friend for nearly 40 years.
- 1:43:11Speaker 36: At 281-441-4179 and let him explain how this problem can
- 1:43:15Speaker 36: be minimized with professional pruning. You see, when the tree
- 1:43:19Speaker 36: canopy is too thick and dense, the tree can be
- 1:43:21Speaker 36: completely blown over and tree limbs broken. causing terrible damage
- 1:43:25Speaker 36: to the tree and maybe your home. Where tree limbs break,
- 1:43:29Speaker 36: sap will ooze, and that attracts harmful insects. So you
- 1:43:32Speaker 36: need to call Louis Flory today at 281-441-4179 and have
- 1:43:38Speaker 36: his experts come out and professionally prune your trees to
- 1:43:41Speaker 36: withstand sudden storms that are so frequent this time of year.
- 1:43:45Speaker 36: Visit their website at AbilityTrees.com. That's 281-441-4179. Ability Tree Experts,
- 1:43:52Speaker 36: Houston's leading tree care professional.
- 1:43:54Speaker 20: Do you need money? Want to lower your monthly debt?
- 1:43:57Speaker 20: Are you thinking about a cash-out refinance? Hi, it's Kathy
- 1:44:00Speaker 20: from Baker Mortgage. A cash-out refinance can get you back
- 1:44:04Speaker 20: in your comfort zone, and that's what it's all about.
- 1:44:07Speaker 20: A recent client who closed with us had his payment
- 1:44:09Speaker 20: go up about $ 300, but his monthly outgo was being
- 1:44:14Speaker 20: reduced by $ 1, 200, so giving him a net positive cash
- 1:44:17Speaker 20: flow of $ 900. It's not about adding debt, but restructuring
- 1:44:22Speaker 20: it in a way that makes sense. And this math
- 1:44:24Speaker 20: totally makes sense. And please don't sweat it if your
- 1:44:27Speaker 20: interest rate is going up a little or if you're
- 1:44:30Speaker 20: extending the term. I can show you by taking a
- 1:44:33Speaker 20: small amount of what you're saving monthly and applying it
- 1:44:36Speaker 20: towards your mortgage, you're going to pay it off just
- 1:44:38Speaker 20: as quickly and you'll be way ahead in the money game,
- 1:44:41Speaker 20: which is where we all want to be, right? Remember,
- 1:44:43Speaker 20: we want to help you. But we're not going to
- 1:44:45Speaker 20: help you over a cliff. Baker Mortgage, 281-313-MOVE or go
- 1:44:50Speaker 20: directly to bakermortgage.com.
- 1:44:52Speaker 7: Equal housing lender. License number 263-213.
- 1:44:55Speaker 9: And now, back to Chris X Radio.
- 1:44:57Speaker 11: Chris X Radio.
- 1:44:58Speaker 9: On the voice of Texas.
- 1:45:10Speaker 12: Hey, Lucas, why are all the phones cutting out today?
- 1:45:12Speaker 12: Everybody's on their smartphones and they're... Everybody's cutting out. Can
- 1:45:15Speaker 12: you take care of that on your end? Go ahead
- 1:45:17Speaker 12: and make sure they don't do that anymore.
- 1:45:18Speaker 15: I will definitely work on it.
- 1:45:19Speaker 12: I appreciate that. That's a good call. All right, welcome
- 1:45:25Speaker 12: back to Chris X Radio. It's the final segment of
- 1:45:27Speaker 12: today's program. If you want to get in here before
- 1:45:29Speaker 12: we run out of time, 281-558-KSV, 281-558-5738. I appreciate the calls.
- 1:45:32Speaker 12: Like I said, I give David credit. He still calls in.
- 1:45:36Speaker 12: I appreciate him still listening. Once again, David's a guy
- 1:45:43Speaker 12: I think you go out and have a, as the
- 1:45:46Speaker 12: kids say, have a beer with, even though I would
- 1:45:47Speaker 12: have a Coke Zero. And probably a burger. Which, by
- 1:45:51Speaker 12: the way, I had a burger with Mark Allen last week.
- 1:45:53Speaker 12: Had a good Burger Summit. The burger was okay. It
- 1:45:56Speaker 12: wasn't amazing. But it was a good time. It's always
- 1:45:58Speaker 12: good to catch up with him. Meeting of the minds.
- 1:46:00Speaker 12: We have Burger Summits, okay? And they didn't have Coke Zero,
- 1:46:05Speaker 12: so I was a little upset. I had to go
- 1:46:09Speaker 12: with Diet Coke.
- 1:46:10Speaker 23: Yeah.
- 1:46:12Speaker 12: I know Donald Trump. He prefers a Diet Coke, please.
- 1:46:15Speaker 12: Can I get a Diet Coke? So hilarious. Anyway, I
- 1:46:19Speaker 12: want to thank Jonathan Covey, the director of the Texas
- 1:46:22Speaker 12: Public Policy for Texas Values. We talked about Texas Faith Fest. TexasFaithFest.com
- 1:46:28Speaker 12: is the website. It is coming up on Saturday, September
- 1:46:31Speaker 12: 26th from 9 to 5 p.m. at the Park Social
- 1:46:35Speaker 12: Special Event Center in Cedar Park, Texas, just outside of Austin.
- 1:46:39Speaker 12: Students and pastors, it's absolutely free for everyone else. It's
- 1:46:43Speaker 12: just $ 39 per ticket, and that includes lunch. And last year,
- 1:46:46Speaker 12: lunch was, I think it's going to be Rudy's again
- 1:46:48Speaker 12: this year. Oh, it was so good. You know, it's funny.
- 1:46:52Speaker 12: When I used to go to Rudy's, I used to
- 1:46:54Speaker 12: always get, you know, the brisket or whatever. And then
- 1:46:59Speaker 12: I made the mistake of having a turkey sandwich. Their
- 1:47:02Speaker 12: turkey sandwiches are so good. What? I'll just get their
- 1:47:06Speaker 12: turkey sandwich, put a little bit of the sissy sauce
- 1:47:09Speaker 12: because I don't like the really spicy stuff. So I'll
- 1:47:12Speaker 12: put the sissy sauce on it. No, that's just right.
- 1:47:14Speaker 12: Got to get that. Maybe a little potato salad. And
- 1:47:17Speaker 12: then they have like banana pudding and they also have
- 1:47:19Speaker 12: like the chocolate pudding. Their chocolate pudding is really good.
- 1:47:24Speaker 12: So I'll go spend $ 30 for a sandwich, some potato salad,
- 1:47:28Speaker 12: some chocolate pudding. And possibly a Coke Zero if they've
- 1:47:31Speaker 12: got it. But anyway, that's so, if I was spending
- 1:47:37Speaker 12: $ 30 for that, and tickets are only $ 39 at FaithFest,
- 1:47:41Speaker 12: basically that's $ 9 a ticket. That's totally worth it. Anyway,
- 1:47:44Speaker 12: look for the red register button over there at TexasFaithFest.com
- 1:47:48Speaker 12: if you want to come out. Guys, come on in.
- 1:47:50Speaker 12: Like I said, I'll be there recording interviews. There will
- 1:47:52Speaker 12: be a whole lot of other people there. A lot
- 1:47:54Speaker 12: of great, you can look at the entire lineup. Brandon
- 1:47:57Speaker 12: Gill will be the keynote address. But there's a bunch
- 1:48:00Speaker 12: of good speakers. Brooke Slusser will be there, Mays Middleton.
- 1:48:06Speaker 12: But as our guest Jonathan was talking about today, the
- 1:48:11Speaker 12: Texas State Board of Education chair, Aaron Kinsey, will be there.
- 1:48:14Speaker 12: Texas State Senator Phil King, David Hacker with the First
- 1:48:18Speaker 12: Liberty Institute. And then Julie Pickren will be there. She's
- 1:48:21Speaker 12: with the Texas Board of Education. So there's going to
- 1:48:24Speaker 12: be a lot of good people there. They always have
- 1:48:27Speaker 12: a great lineup of speakers. But you also get to
- 1:48:30Speaker 12: meet a lot of the speakers when they're done. You
- 1:48:33Speaker 12: can take pictures with them. You can talk to them.
- 1:48:35Speaker 12: So always enjoy the event there. TexasFaithFest.com if you want
- 1:48:39Speaker 12: to attend. Come on out. I'm looking forward to it.
- 1:48:40Speaker 12: That's coming up, not this weekend, but next weekend. It'll
- 1:48:43Speaker 12: be Saturday, September 26th. I'm looking forward to it. And
- 1:48:48Speaker 12: it's interesting, too, because I always run into people from
- 1:48:49Speaker 12: Houston that attend. I really enjoy it. So there you go. Okay,
- 1:48:53Speaker 12: I want to wrap up. The phone calls were a
- 1:48:56Speaker 12: little weird today because not weird callers, but the connections
- 1:49:01Speaker 12: weren't well. They were cutting out. And unfortunately, that's the
- 1:49:06Speaker 12: nature of things now that we have cell phones. Sometimes
- 1:49:10Speaker 12: you get stuck with the bad connections. So there is that.
- 1:49:15Speaker 12: Something that hasn't gotten a lot of coverage because I
- 1:49:17Speaker 12: really don't watch a lot of the local news. I
- 1:49:19Speaker 12: just do it when I'm preparing for my show. But
- 1:49:22Speaker 12: there is a red tide bloom happening in Bolivar Peninsula
- 1:49:25Speaker 12: right now. And people are asking, okay, what does this
- 1:49:29Speaker 12: mean for the people in the area? Well, how does
- 1:49:31Speaker 12: exposure affect your health? Well, the red tide, what it
- 1:49:34Speaker 12: actually is, it happens when a microscopic plant-like organisms in
- 1:49:39Speaker 12: the water grow very rapidly. And if the conditions hit
- 1:49:42Speaker 12: just right, including warmer temperatures, which we've had plenty of that, sunlight,
- 1:49:47Speaker 12: and then, of course, nutrients in the water, these organisms
- 1:49:50Speaker 12: multiply and create a bloom. Well, some types produce toxins
- 1:49:55Speaker 12: that can affect people through the air and the contaminated seafood.
- 1:49:59Speaker 12: You don't want to eat any seafood from the red tide.
- 1:50:03Speaker 12: But it also can get in the air. Now, what
- 1:50:05Speaker 12: happens if you breathe it in? Well, when waves and
- 1:50:08Speaker 12: wind move the organisms and their toxins near the shoreline,
- 1:50:12Speaker 12: people can develop respiratory symptoms.
- 1:50:16Speaker 11: Dr.
- 1:50:16Speaker 12: Cedric Dark, an associate professor of emergency medicine at Baylor
- 1:50:19Speaker 12: College of Medicine, says people near the water should watch
- 1:50:23Speaker 12: for symptoms, including coughing, a runny nose, wheezing, shortness of breath.
- 1:50:28Speaker 12: People with existing lung conditions, including asthma or COPD, are
- 1:50:33Speaker 12: particularly vulnerable.
- 1:50:35Speaker 1: Dr.
- 1:50:35Speaker 12: Dark recommends people with those conditions avoid the shoreline whenever
- 1:50:39Speaker 12: the red tide is present. What about eating seafood? Well,
- 1:50:43Speaker 12: it definitely affects the food chain. Shellfish, such as oysters, mussels,
- 1:50:47Speaker 12: and clams, take in the organisms while feeding, so you
- 1:50:52Speaker 12: don't really want to eat them. The toxins can then
- 1:50:54Speaker 12: build up in their bodies and cause illness for people
- 1:50:57Speaker 12: who eat them, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps.
- 1:51:04Speaker 12: Sounds like a typical Saturday night for Luke Ash. More
- 1:51:06Speaker 12: serious exposure can cause numbness or tingling, dizziness and problems
- 1:51:11Speaker 12: with balance. And cooking contaminated seafood doesn't really necessarily make
- 1:51:16Speaker 12: it safe. Cooking doesn't eliminate those toxins, Dr. Dart said.
- 1:51:20Speaker 12: These organisms are what we call heat stable. That means grilling,
- 1:51:25Speaker 12: steaming or otherwise cooking contaminated shellfish does not destroy the toxins.
- 1:51:30Speaker 12: What you should do if you develop symptoms, if you're
- 1:51:33Speaker 12: at the beach and begin coughing or experiencing other respiratory symptoms,
- 1:51:36Speaker 12: Dark recommends getting away from the shoreline and just going indoors.
- 1:51:41Speaker 12: If the symptoms improve quickly, that may be a sign
- 1:51:44Speaker 12: that the exposure was contributing to the irritation. But he
- 1:51:48Speaker 12: cautions against assuming every case of shortness of breath is
- 1:51:50Speaker 12: caused by red tide. Shortness of breath can have many causes,
- 1:51:55Speaker 12: including pneumonia, a heart attack, or a blood clot in
- 1:51:58Speaker 12: the lungs. If you're feeling so bad that you feel
- 1:52:02Speaker 12: like your breathing is threatened, your life is threatened, or
- 1:52:05Speaker 12: you need to come to an emergency room, department, doctor said, absolutely.
- 1:52:12Speaker 12: For milder symptoms, an urgent care or primary care provider
- 1:52:15Speaker 12: may be able to evaluate you and determine what if
- 1:52:18Speaker 12: or treatment is needed. Texas Parks and Wildlife recommends visitors
- 1:52:22Speaker 12: avoid areas where they see dead fish or discolored water.
- 1:52:25Speaker 12: They also advise people to not eat shellfish gathered from
- 1:52:29Speaker 12: affected areas. For people with asthma or COPD or other
- 1:52:34Speaker 12: lung conditions, Dr. Dark says it's worth taking extra precautions
- 1:52:38Speaker 12: and avoiding unnecessary exposure along the shoreline while the bloom
- 1:52:44Speaker 12: is present. And if you experience significant trouble breathing, don't
- 1:52:48Speaker 12: simply wait for it to go away. Seek medical care.
- 1:52:52Speaker 12: So once again, if you're out near Bolivar, and I
- 1:52:54Speaker 12: know we have some listeners out in that area, be
- 1:52:56Speaker 12: careful if you get around that because they are apparently
- 1:52:59Speaker 12: experiencing the red tide as we speak. So you guys
- 1:53:04Speaker 12: need to be safe and be careful. Boy, I wouldn't
- 1:53:08Speaker 12: want any of that. I mean, I like shrimp. I
- 1:53:11Speaker 12: don't like oysters or mussels. I'm not a fan of those.
- 1:53:14Speaker 12: So probably not much of a chance of me eating that.
- 1:53:16Speaker 12: But this will also curtail me having any seafood for
- 1:53:20Speaker 12: a little while because I just don't eat a lot
- 1:53:21Speaker 12: of it anyway. I guess I got to go back
- 1:53:23Speaker 12: to burgers and pizza. All right, everybody. Have a good,
- 1:53:27Speaker 12: safe evening. Be good. Be safe. Be careful. Stay away
- 1:53:30Speaker 12: from the red tide. And we'll see you tomorrow for
- 1:53:32Speaker 12: Taco Tuesday.
- 1:53:33Speaker 11: How's that?
