- 0:00Speaker 1: John Ji and Richemina.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Good morning, Hi, Good morning you guys. Hey, what's up.
- 0:06Speaker 3: So I have a little story about an airport lounge.
- 0:12Speaker 3: I got access to one for the first time because
- 0:15Speaker 3: my bougie cousin gave me a pass and I went
- 0:18Speaker 3: a little too crazy. So I walked in just you know,
- 0:24Speaker 3: like acting like I belonged there. But I had no
- 0:28Speaker 3: clue really how anything worked, and I thought the buffet
- 0:33Speaker 3: was basically Vegas rules. So I loaded up two plates,
- 0:37Speaker 3: I stepped snacks in my backpack, and I poured myself
- 0:40Speaker 3: a giant glass of wine at like eight am, because
- 0:43Speaker 3: it's the airport and you can do whatever. But then
- 0:48Speaker 3: I got way too comfortable. I took my shoes off
- 0:52Speaker 3: and I fully fell asleep in one of those podshair things,
- 0:59Speaker 3: and I wake up to employees like gently asking me
- 1:02Speaker 3: if I'm okay, and I'm storing and there's a cheese
- 1:06Speaker 3: you've stuck to my hoodie, and yeah, I don't know
- 1:15Speaker 3: if I can.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Ever go back to you said you missed your flight or.
- 1:17Speaker 3: No, no we didn't, but I almost did.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I could see that happening those lounges
- 1:23Speaker 1: or something else.
- 1:24Speaker 2: That's I had my first experience in the Delta Lounge
- 1:28Speaker 2: last week. I've heard John Jay talk about. In fact,
- 1:31Speaker 2: John Jackie, that's actually your second experience because I try
- 1:33Speaker 2: to get you in one. Well, that's gonna say. We've
- 1:35Speaker 2: we've been denied a few times because John Ja's a
- 1:38Speaker 2: beautiful if you go to an American Express, you can
- 1:40Speaker 2: get in here. And I do have an American Express
- 1:42Speaker 2: and I have walked in and we have been turned
- 1:44Speaker 2: right around, Like I don't understand how it works.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Like I have been in one a couple of them
- 1:50Speaker 1: and it's awesome, but for some reason when I was
- 1:53Speaker 1: with you, we couldn't get in.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Yeah, no, turned right around. John Jay said, American Express
- 1:57Speaker 2: knows her. That is the blah blah blahlah lounge. So anyway,
- 2:00Speaker 2: I'm flying home from New York and I basically paid
- 2:03Speaker 2: for the whole trip with my points on americ Express
- 2:05Speaker 2: that I've I've had over the years and having used.
- 2:08Speaker 2: And so I'm getting ready to go through security and
- 2:09Speaker 2: Audrey saw my daughter says, oh, you have Delta Priority.
- 2:14Speaker 2: She's that means you can get into Sky Lounge. And
- 2:17Speaker 2: I said, okay, well, can you guys go in with me,
- 2:19Speaker 2: and they're like, no, we're going to be in line
- 2:20Speaker 2: for a while. Anyway, you got the you got the TSA,
- 2:23Speaker 2: so you go right through, and you should check out
- 2:25Speaker 2: the sky lounge. So I walk up, thinking I'm going
- 2:28Speaker 2: to get denied again to the sky lounge. So I
- 2:31Speaker 2: get in and I say, I have my ticket and
- 2:34Speaker 2: I have my MX's that get me in there. Go
- 2:36Speaker 2: on in, sir, and it is one of the nicest,
- 2:39Speaker 2: like the nicest club or restaurant you've ever walked into.
- 2:42Speaker 2: They get a giant bar with like drinks everywhere, and
- 2:46Speaker 2: then this buffet looks like eighty is astounding, and all
- 2:50Speaker 2: these comfortable chairs and TVs and it's awesome. That's well,
- 2:55Speaker 2: I was only in there like two minutes because my
- 2:56Speaker 2: kids got right through security. You're like, we're at the gate,
- 2:58Speaker 2: so I didn't get a chance to I didn't just
- 3:00Speaker 2: stay and hang out. I just know you're better than me.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I would have left them at the gate, like I'll
- 3:05Speaker 2: bring you some snacks. Why didn't they go in with you?
- 3:09Speaker 2: I don't think I was allowed to get them in
- 3:11Speaker 2: with me since they didn't have the delta in advance.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Your family too, I think I don't know how it works.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Plus out there, Well, no, then I guess you don't
- 3:20Speaker 1: go in, but I can't remember if you get a plus.
- 3:21Speaker 2: One with it or not. I already felt bad enough
- 3:24Speaker 2: for leaving them in the dust because I had the
- 3:25Speaker 2: you know, the TSA pri and I'm like, you guys
- 3:27Speaker 2: gonna take off.
- 3:28Speaker 1: It's kind of a new thing that I've learned about
- 3:30Speaker 1: the last year. When it works, it's awesome. The thing is,
- 3:34Speaker 1: there's all these different credit card lounges, like there's this
- 3:36Speaker 1: Centurion one. I don't know what that is, there's the
- 3:38Speaker 1: Capital one one, and then every once in a while
- 3:41Speaker 1: there's an America Express one and it works.
- 3:43Speaker 2: It's competed in.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I don't know how it works, but I've been denied
- 3:45Speaker 1: many times.
- 3:46Speaker 2: It's like you throw membership of a club that you
- 3:48Speaker 2: could never be a part of because are you a
- 3:50Speaker 2: Sapphire remember them up?
- 3:51Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that far as the other one. So you
- 3:53Speaker 1: got to stand in line and have a lot of confidence.
- 3:56Speaker 1: And then when they knock you out and you say
- 3:58Speaker 1: you're sorry, you can't get with that card, do you're like, yeah,
- 3:59Speaker 1: I know I thought that, you know.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I've been denied twice with John J.
- 4:05Speaker 4: I've only had one airport like lounge experience, and it
- 4:09Speaker 4: was truly. I think the most bougie it could have
- 4:11Speaker 4: ever been. Is because I had just interviewed Nick Cannon
- 4:14Speaker 4: and we ran into each other at the airport, so
- 4:15Speaker 4: she brought me in. We were in the back, secluded area,
- 4:18Speaker 4: I mean, first class service, like if. I don't know
- 4:22Speaker 4: if I would ever be able to go back, because
- 4:24Speaker 4: it was that great.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I did feel. I did feel a little like, well,
- 4:27Speaker 2: I guess I'll leave. I mean I literally walked around
- 4:30Speaker 2: and they were done with security, so I checked it
- 4:33Speaker 2: out and MINA, thanks for calling in.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I have a good one.
