- 0:00Speaker 1: This is not the most important story that you will
- 0:02Speaker 1: hear today, but it grinds my gears. It's a small,
- 0:06Speaker 1: seemingly insignificant event, but I think it speaks to two
- 0:09Speaker 1: things that I absolutely hate about the world that we
- 0:12Speaker 1: live in right now. It took place at Cinema three
- 0:14Speaker 1: and pook A Color. You might have seen the video
- 0:16Speaker 1: on the Herald website if you haven't gone to check
- 0:18Speaker 1: it out. So it's two women and a child going
- 0:21Speaker 1: to the movies. They sneak food into the movies, which
- 0:24Speaker 1: I know is not the biggest thing happening in the
- 0:26Speaker 1: world right now. We've all done it too, haven't we.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Probably we've hidden that food. These guys, these entitled prats, yes,
- 0:34Speaker 1: let's just call them what they are. They had food,
- 0:37Speaker 1: they had drink, they had snacks, they had hot food.
- 0:41Speaker 1: They snuck hot food into the cinema. I mean, that's brazen.
- 0:45Speaker 1: And the cinema. The guys working at the cinema goes
- 0:49Speaker 1: over them and says, oh, you know, can you please
- 0:51Speaker 1: You're not allowed to bring your own food in. These
- 0:53Speaker 1: guys just are having none of it. First of all,
- 0:57Speaker 1: that the guy that comes over has an Asian accent.
- 0:59Speaker 1: They mock him for for his race. They sit there
- 1:02Speaker 1: and they start berating him. Oh you've made my daughter cry.
- 1:06Speaker 1: You've made my daughter cry. You shouldn't be let you know,
- 1:09Speaker 1: get out of my way. It's his cinema. The police
- 1:12Speaker 1: came and had to escort them out for goodness sakes.
- 1:15Speaker 1: They refuse to move, They demanded refunds, They carried on eating.
- 1:20Speaker 1: They said I wish I had my vape here, I'd
- 1:21Speaker 1: start vaping and things like that. The staff said they
- 1:24Speaker 1: felt unsafe. They had to turn the movie off. So
- 1:27Speaker 1: whoever was in the movie missed out. People. Cinema has rules.
- 1:32Speaker 1: It's clearly signposted apparently five times throughout the cinema complex
- 1:36Speaker 1: that you cannot bring your own food. And so my
- 1:38Speaker 1: feelings one, if you can't go on our forty without eating,
- 1:41Speaker 1: you probably should. Two, this is a wider issue. It's
- 1:46Speaker 1: about people not respecting rules. It's not your property. Businesses
- 1:50Speaker 1: need to make money otherwise they go out of business
- 1:53Speaker 1: and people lose their jobs. And number three, and this
- 1:56Speaker 1: is the most egregious breach for me. They posted it
- 2:00Speaker 1: all to TikTok. Just the audacity to film all of
- 2:03Speaker 1: that break the poor person working there and then put
- 2:07Speaker 1: it all on TikTok. It's shameless, and that is what's
- 2:11Speaker 1: wrong with us today. I think we have no shame anymore.
- 2:14Speaker 1: You steal something, Oh, it's the cost of living crisis.
- 2:17Speaker 1: You know, you do something terrible, it's my mental health.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Where is the shame from breaking rules? I don't see
- 2:26Speaker 1: much of it at cinema three pooka kohe That's for
- 2:29Speaker 1: sure twenty nine and after Faith. For more from News
