- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, Kyle, what do we need to know today?
- 0:02Speaker 2: Well, the Milwaukee Brewers are now World Series champions for
- 0:05Speaker 2: the first time.
- 0:06Speaker 3: 2-1 pitch.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Palacios.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Grounds one softly.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Unshakable.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Unstoppable.
- 0:09Speaker 3: And champions at last, the Milwaukee Brewers. That was a
- 0:18Speaker 3: good watch.
- 0:18Speaker 2: First time ever in franchise history, so that is literal
- 0:21Speaker 2: history that was made.
- 0:22Speaker 4: Can I tell you something? I didn't watch one game.
- 0:25Speaker 4: I didn't even see one scene from this.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Game, right? So I thought, I was like, Nobody cares
- 0:29Speaker 1: about the World Series. That's what I thought, right? Stupidity.
- 0:32Speaker 4: I saw today that it's one of the highest rated
- 0:34Speaker 4: World Series they've ever had.
- 0:36Speaker 3: It makes sense to me because you got, instead of
- 0:38Speaker 3: like the people that are always in it, you got
- 0:40Speaker 3: two people who have never been in it.
- 0:41Speaker 1: It's kind of like the underdogs.
- 0:42Speaker 3: And when you watch it, like the pitching was awesome,
- 0:46Speaker 3: if you're into that kind of thing. I think it
- 0:48Speaker 3: was very enjoyable to watch.
- 0:49Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 0:50Speaker 4: But I thought just with it being like, you know,
- 0:53Speaker 4: not Los Angeles, not New York, not Chicago, not San Francisco,
- 0:56Speaker 4: that it was going to be, there's going to be
- 0:58Speaker 4: bad ratings, small towns, nobody cares.
- 1:00Speaker 1: But I was incorrect. Sometimes I am wrong. Wow. Just sometimes.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Keep that on file.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Keep that right there. We need that moment preserved in history.
- 1:12Speaker 2: This is huge. For anyone who gets food or groceries delivered,
- 1:16Speaker 2: DoorDash just announced it is buying Instacart. And they are
- 1:20Speaker 2: paying $ 17 billion. Instacart is expected to keep its own
- 1:25Speaker 2: name and app, but the deal could eventually give you
- 1:29Speaker 2: access to another 50,000 stores through DoorDash's network.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Now people are kind of wondering, is.
- 1:35Speaker 2: This going to make grocery delivery easier or cheaper? Probably not,
- 1:41Speaker 2: but you just may have more options. And good for
- 1:44Speaker 2: them for being able to spend $ 17 billion in this.
- 1:46Speaker 4: That's so crazy. Especially when you think about ideas like that,
- 1:48Speaker 4: like Uber, just a couple guys going, why don't we
- 1:50Speaker 4: do this?
- 1:51Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:51Speaker 1: You know, it's worth $ 17 billion. I know. So crazy.
- 1:55Speaker 2: We are getting our first look at how Los Angeles
- 1:58Speaker 2: is planning to welcome the world for the 2028 Olympics.
- 2:01Speaker 2: They have announced the official slogan and given us a song.
- 2:06Speaker 1: 2028 and the triumph of sport meets the city of dreams.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Stars align.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Stars align. That's the official slogan of the 2028 Olympics
- 2:22Speaker 2: that will be held in Los Angeles. Snoop Dogg, Billie
- 2:26Speaker 2: Eilish and Olympic champion Alison Felix have all helped design
- 2:30Speaker 2: special versions of the game's logo.
- 2:33Speaker 1: And that was part of the announcement video, which is
- 2:36Speaker 1: pretty cool. Stars align.
- 2:38Speaker 5: Stars align.
- 2:39Speaker 1: The stars align. Okay.
- 2:43Speaker 5: All right.
- 2:44Speaker 3: I think you get it. It's fine.
- 2:45Speaker 1: We don't have to keep going. I mean, it's no
- 2:47Speaker 1: lemu emu, but whatever.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I know.
- 2:50Speaker 2: The stars align.
- 2:52Speaker 1: And that's that. This is actually very creepy.
- 2:55Speaker 2: You know when you're in a Waymo and you're driving
- 2:58Speaker 2: around town. You know, we were one of the first
- 3:00Speaker 2: test markets for Waymo. And you already know that, like,
- 3:04Speaker 2: you're not technically alone. Someone's watching you and making sure
- 3:07Speaker 2: you're following the rules in there. But this is a
- 3:10Speaker 2: whole new level of maybe somebody is spying on you. Apparently,
- 3:14Speaker 2: the Waymos are Chinese-built vehicles. And so now there's a
- 3:18Speaker 2: new concern that it's not just the Waymo people spying
- 3:21Speaker 2: on you.
- 3:22Speaker 1: When you're in a Waymo, it's like China as well. Oh,
- 3:25Speaker 1: my God. They know where I'm going. Why do they
- 3:28Speaker 1: need to spy on us?
- 3:29Speaker 2: Who cares?
- 3:30Speaker 5: What's going on?
- 3:31Speaker 1: I don't see Trump getting in a Waymo. So it's
- 3:33Speaker 1: like us normal people getting an Waymo. Okay, big deal.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Hold on, this guy went to a QT? Then he
- 3:39Speaker 1: went to the airport. Get on that. Find out what
- 3:42Speaker 1: he was.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I think it's more about mapping out everything and knowing
- 3:45Speaker 2: where everything ends and outs. Anyways, that's what you need
- 3:48Speaker 2: to know.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Gloria, good morning. What's the scariest thing that's ever happened
- 3:52Speaker 1: to you?
- 3:53Speaker 5: Hi, good morning. Okay, so years ago, my grandma used
- 3:57Speaker 5: to live with us, and she was in the process
- 4:00Speaker 5: of dying because she was getting older. And she said,
- 4:02Speaker 5: I want to die in Mexico. I said, okay, fine.
- 4:03Speaker 5: So we take her to Mexico, my mom and I.
- 4:05Speaker 5: I'm 18. And she was an extremely private person. She
- 4:08Speaker 5: had a trunk full of all her private stuff, and
- 4:11Speaker 5: she wouldn't let anybody go through it. So when she passed,
- 4:14Speaker 5: they stored all her stuff in her old house, which
- 4:17Speaker 5: is like those wooden houses with the wooden windows and
- 4:21Speaker 5: wooden stilts, you know, like that kind of house. And
- 4:23Speaker 5: it was like 20 feet from my aunt's house. So
- 4:26Speaker 5: at night, after she passed, my aunt, my mom had
- 4:30Speaker 5: two aunts, went through her stuff and decided to keep,
- 4:32Speaker 5: you know, like a keepsake, like a handkerchief or whatever.
- 4:36Speaker 5: And I went in like, what are you doing? And
- 4:37Speaker 5: they're like, oh, we're trying to keep something. And I
- 4:40Speaker 5: was like, well, you know, my grandma didn't like anybody
- 4:41Speaker 5: going through her stuff. And they're like, well, it's okay.
- 4:44Speaker 5: You know, she can't do anything now, right? So the
- 4:48Speaker 5: next night, in the middle of the night, we very
- 4:52Speaker 5: clearly heard somebody or something In that room, like, take
- 4:56Speaker 5: the suitcase, and, like, we can hear the little wheels
- 4:59Speaker 5: hitting the floor, like, da-doom, da-doom, da-doom, right? So we
- 5:02Speaker 5: get up thinking, you know, somebody's robbing my aunt or whatever.
- 5:05Speaker 5: We go. Everything's locked up. Store's locked up. Window's locked up.
- 5:09Speaker 5: Suitcase is at where we left it for three nights straight.
- 5:12Speaker 5: That's what we heard in the middle of the night.
- 5:14Speaker 5: So I told my mom, I was like, she knows
- 5:16Speaker 5: that was all your fault. She didn't like you going
- 5:18Speaker 5: through it. And they still did. So until they went
- 5:22Speaker 5: to the cemetery, said sorry, ask for forgiveness. And then
- 5:25Speaker 5: it all stopped. So that's the scary thing.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Grandma was mad.
- 5:31Speaker 1: She was like, I said don't go through my stuff.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I'm out of here. Again. I'm out of here again.
- 5:36Speaker 1: All right. Yeah.
- 5:38Speaker 5: So, yeah, the most terrifying thing. And I was only 18.
- 5:40Speaker 5: And I was going to go, like, oils, lamps, walking
- 5:43Speaker 5: through the middle of the night. No, thank you.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Well, thank you, Gloria. Have a great day. Thanks for listening.
- 5:48Speaker 1: You too.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Thank you.
