- 0:06Speaker 3: Dumps it off into the right flasf to Michael Bumpers,
- 0:08Speaker 3: who bounces off a one tackler gets inside the forty
- 0:11Speaker 3: down of the thirty.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Five yard line. Powered by Seahawks dot Com.
- 0:15Speaker 4: Matt Pumpfake's looking at the gold line.
- 0:17Speaker 2: He throws it into the m zone. Touchdown, Say Hawks.
- 0:20Speaker 3: It's Michael Bumpas with a diving catching the end zone.
- 0:23Speaker 4: A ten yard touchdown reception for Bumpers, and a kid
- 0:27Speaker 4: out of Washington State has found himself a place.
- 0:30Speaker 2: On this team. Now here's your host, Nasa Chobie.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Welcome into another edition of Hawk Talk. The Seahawks falling
- 0:37Speaker 1: at home to Luminfield to the Buffalo Bills thirty one
- 0:40Speaker 1: to ten.
- 0:42Speaker 2: This audition Hawk Talk.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Unfortunately, Nasa is by himself today, No Michael Bumpus. Michael
- 0:47Speaker 1: Bumpus is feeling a little bit under their weather and
- 0:50Speaker 1: it was a tough day on Sunday, so he left
- 0:51Speaker 1: me all to my lonesome to talk about what had happened,
- 0:54Speaker 1: and it was tough. When I think about this game,
- 0:57Speaker 1: I think about just having a tough day at the office.
- 1:00Speaker 1: We've all had them, right, you know in baseball, sometimes
- 1:02Speaker 1: you don't have your fastball, you know, sometimes you wake
- 1:06Speaker 1: up on the wrong side of the bed. Sometimes you're
- 1:08Speaker 1: just hurting. Sometimes you just have a bad day. And
- 1:11Speaker 1: Sunday was a bad day for the Seahawks. Things weren't
- 1:13Speaker 1: going well on most phases of the game, all three
- 1:16Speaker 1: and it just it was a really tough ball game.
- 1:18Speaker 2: It was a against a really good team.
- 1:20Speaker 1: It was raining, and uh yeah, there's not a lot
- 1:23Speaker 1: to say about what happened. It was tough. It was
- 1:25Speaker 1: really tough, and I'll leave it to coach McDonalds. He
- 1:27Speaker 1: addressed the media today kind of talking about his overall
- 1:31Speaker 1: thoughts and how and how the game went yesterday and
- 1:33Speaker 1: what he got from watching the tape.
- 1:35Speaker 5: It confirms a lot of what we felt like durround
- 1:37Speaker 5: the game is, Hey, you know, we faced a really
- 1:38Speaker 5: good football team. We did We did not play our
- 1:42Speaker 5: best football by any stretch, all three phases, and you
- 1:46Speaker 5: go back and go with kind of the series of events.
- 1:48Speaker 5: It felt like in order for us to win that game,
- 1:50Speaker 5: you have to capitalize on the opportunities when they present themselves.
- 1:54Speaker 5: We didn't do that on offense or defense earlier in
- 1:56Speaker 5: the game. Special teams didn't have as many opportunities to
- 2:00Speaker 5: the game until later, and you know, we got out
- 2:03Speaker 5: of whack there at the end. So and that's how
- 2:05Speaker 5: you know a game ends up thirty one to ten.
- 2:07Speaker 5: So disappointing obviously, you know, being at home, being two
- 2:11Speaker 5: and three at home throughout the year. Disappoint where we're at.
- 2:14Speaker 5: We definitely expect better. But meet with the staff this
- 2:18Speaker 5: morning and watching the tape and have another plan of
- 2:21Speaker 5: attack this week. You know, just optimistic and just want
- 2:24Speaker 5: to everybody's there's belief. There is belief and a faith
- 2:28Speaker 5: in the men that we normally sit in this room
- 2:31Speaker 5: and on all of our coaches, and we're going to
- 2:34Speaker 5: attack the heck out of this week and we're gonna
- 2:35Speaker 5: have a great week and be ready to play the Rams.
- 2:38Speaker 1: What I love about coach McDonald and just really his
- 2:41Speaker 1: personality in general, is how level headed he is all
- 2:43Speaker 1: the time when things are going good, when things are
- 2:45Speaker 1: going bad, when there's a great play, when there's a
- 2:47Speaker 1: bad play up and down, he's always kind of right here,
- 2:51Speaker 1: and he's just frank. He's to the point, it wasn't
- 2:52Speaker 1: where they wanted to be. But at the end there
- 2:54Speaker 1: he talked about the faith and the belief of the
- 2:56Speaker 1: guys in this building and on that coaching staff to
- 2:58Speaker 1: get this thing corrected. Because ladies and gentlemen, it's the
- 3:01Speaker 1: National Football League. I know the Buffalo Bills are a
- 3:02Speaker 1: great team, and I think the Seahawks are a good team.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Sunday was not third day games can have a snowball
- 3:08Speaker 1: effect sometimes and things can get away from you, and
- 3:10Speaker 1: that's exactly what happened on Sunday. But I like where
- 3:13Speaker 1: coach McDonald's head's at. I like where this staff's at,
- 3:15Speaker 1: where the players are.
- 3:17Speaker 2: They're gonna fix this.
- 3:18Speaker 1: They have a couple of days to get ready for
- 3:19Speaker 1: the Rams, because that's the thing too. You can't feel
- 3:22Speaker 1: sorry for yourself. You're in a log jam in the
- 3:24Speaker 1: NFC West. Everyone's in it. Everyone has a chance to
- 3:26Speaker 1: win the division. So you got to get right back
- 3:27Speaker 1: after it this week, watch the film, correct things, and
- 3:30Speaker 1: get after those Rams because you're gonna need it next week.
- 3:32Speaker 1: But before we get onto the Rams, we obviously have
- 3:35Speaker 1: to take a look back at exactly what happened against
- 3:38Speaker 1: the Buffalo Bills.
- 3:39Speaker 2: See what happened.
- 3:40Speaker 6: At first, what had happened was on hawked talk well,
- 3:47Speaker 6: not a great start offensively, as the Seahawks went three
- 3:49Speaker 6: and out on their first possession.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Then the Bills responded with a fourteen play ninety yard
- 3:54Speaker 1: drive that ended with a nice touchdown pass it keon Coleman.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Coleman's a he's an exciting player, right. He definitely has
- 4:00Speaker 1: a ton of personality. And they ran the play a
- 4:03Speaker 1: couple times. The first time, Tree Quillen made a great
- 4:05Speaker 1: play Riek, i should say, and knocked the ball down.
- 4:08Speaker 1: They flipped the formation and run to the other side,
- 4:10Speaker 1: and Coleman made a great play because Reek was in
- 4:12Speaker 1: great position, just unable to come down with it. So
- 4:15Speaker 1: that made the score seven to nothing. And man, the
- 4:18Speaker 1: Seahawks also got bit by the penalty bug was just
- 4:21Speaker 1: kind of a precursor for the entire ballgame on that drive,
- 4:24Speaker 1: so that didn't go well. The Seahawks would come back
- 4:26Speaker 1: and insult to injury, go three and out put that
- 4:28Speaker 1: defense right back on the field. But the defense came
- 4:31Speaker 1: out strong, got their first stop of the game, and
- 4:34Speaker 1: that's when the offense kind of started to go in
- 4:36Speaker 1: and he thought, okay, this is where we're going to
- 4:38Speaker 1: figure things out. They had gains of ten, fifteen, seventeen,
- 4:42Speaker 1: and fourteen yards. They'd get all the way down to
- 4:45Speaker 1: the Buffalo Bills two yard line, and the red zone
- 4:48Speaker 1: was just a problem. On Sunday, on second down, center
- 4:50Speaker 1: Connor Williams snapped the ball over Gino Smith's head for
- 4:53Speaker 1: a huge nineteen yard loss. Can I picked the ball up,
- 4:56Speaker 1: it would have been a twenty seven yard loss. Kind
- 4:58Speaker 1: of ran around, got off to the sideline make it
- 5:00Speaker 1: not as bad. But once you get there, you're behind
- 5:02Speaker 1: the sticks. I believe it went to like thirty nineteen
- 5:05Speaker 1: and the seahawkside is set for a field goal that made.
- 5:07Speaker 2: The score seven to three.
- 5:09Speaker 1: But then on the next play, our guy Josh Job,
- 5:12Speaker 1: whom know a lot of Seahawk fans did not know
- 5:13Speaker 1: about a couple of weeks ago, makes a huge play
- 5:16Speaker 1: intercepting Josh Allen's running all the way back to the
- 5:18Speaker 1: Buffalo bill seven yard line. That was the first time
- 5:21Speaker 1: Josh Allen had been intercepted in his last three hundred attempts,
- 5:25Speaker 1: which is pretty nuts and pretty crazy to see. So
- 5:28Speaker 1: super happy about Josh Job doing that. But right there
- 5:31Speaker 1: when that happened. I'm like, okay, we're in business. The
- 5:33Speaker 1: game is going to turn around, and unfortunately just didn't
- 5:37Speaker 1: go that way. Seahawks are in a great position to
- 5:39Speaker 1: take the lead, third and goal from the one yard line.
- 5:42Speaker 1: They get stopped there and they'd go for it, and
- 5:44Speaker 1: then it's just the case.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Of bad luck again.
- 5:46Speaker 1: You know, on the exchange, Connor Williams accidently steps on
- 5:50Speaker 1: Geno Smith's foot and it was really cool. I wanted
- 5:52Speaker 1: to see what that formation was going to be like
- 5:53Speaker 1: because you have Oluel Timmy in there reporting as eligible.
- 5:57Speaker 1: He goes in motion. I think it was going to
- 5:58Speaker 1: be a little bit of play action. Looked like he
- 6:00Speaker 1: had both tight ends leaking out. So unfortunately we didn't
- 6:03Speaker 1: get to see what that play could have been and
- 6:05Speaker 1: how good it was drawn up because the Seahawks had
- 6:07Speaker 1: to turn the ball over on downs and from that
- 6:10Speaker 1: point on, man, it was tough.
- 6:12Speaker 2: The Bills really took it to the Seahawks. They would
- 6:14Speaker 2: go on.
- 6:14Speaker 1: A twelve play ninety three yard drive ending with a
- 6:17Speaker 1: twelve yard touchdown to tight end Dalton Kinkaid that made
- 6:20Speaker 1: the score fourteen to three. But the Bills had so
- 6:24Speaker 1: much to go their way on that drive, and I'm
- 6:26Speaker 1: not taking anything away from them. They made plays and
- 6:28Speaker 1: they kind of made it happen that way, But the
- 6:31Speaker 1: Seahawks also hurt themselves as well. The first play that
- 6:34Speaker 1: I want to talk about early in that drive, it's
- 6:36Speaker 1: third and five. Josh Allen is hit as he's trying
- 6:39Speaker 1: to scramble, is gonna be sacked, fumbles the football. The
- 6:42Speaker 1: Seahawks are gonna get a stop, but he gets lucky,
- 6:45Speaker 1: accidentally kicks the ball and the Bills recover.
- 6:48Speaker 2: That was just kind of how the day went.
- 6:49Speaker 1: That those fifty to fifty balls were not going to
- 6:51Speaker 1: the Seahawks way. While bounces, you know, twelve yards wherever
- 6:54Speaker 1: it was, they recover. They continue to drive later on
- 6:58Speaker 1: that same drive in seven and the Seahawks are going
- 7:01Speaker 1: to get off the field much need to stop. Bills
- 7:03Speaker 1: are probably out to settle for three. Nothing's guaranteed with
- 7:06Speaker 1: the kind of weather we saw that day. And as
- 7:09Speaker 1: Josh Allen's getting ready to throw the ball away, Derek Hall,
- 7:11Speaker 1: who's a competitor, is doing his job, just trying to
- 7:14Speaker 1: get out to the quarterback a little over zealous, makes
- 7:16Speaker 1: contact with Josh Allen. He's called for roughing the passer
- 7:19Speaker 1: despite the illegal formation on Buffalo on that play. Now, fans,
- 7:24Speaker 1: if you remember we learned about this fifteen yard versus
- 7:27Speaker 1: five yard issue earlier in the season against the forty
- 7:31Speaker 1: nine ers. If there's a five yard false start or
- 7:33Speaker 1: procedure penalty like that, but then the defense commits a
- 7:36Speaker 1: personal foul, so roughing the passer or anything like that,
- 7:40Speaker 1: that negates the five yard penalty, even if the play
- 7:42Speaker 1: should have been blown dead or whatever. And again, bad
- 7:45Speaker 1: luck for the Seahawks. The buff is not offsetting penalties,
- 7:48Speaker 1: they get a first down, they on that same drive
- 7:51Speaker 1: eventually go ahead and score. They go up fourteen to three.
- 7:54Speaker 1: So at halftime the scores fourteen to three, you're still
- 7:56Speaker 1: in the game and you're hoping the Seahawks can stay
- 7:58Speaker 1: in it. Forcing the Bills just really took it to
- 8:01Speaker 1: the Seahawks in the second half. They would score in
- 8:03Speaker 1: their first three possessions field goal, touchdown, touchdown, and then
- 8:06Speaker 1: the Seahawks would throw an interception on the first drive
- 8:09Speaker 1: and then go three and out of the next So
- 8:11Speaker 1: it's pretty hard to dig your way out of that.
- 8:14Speaker 1: And then the wheels just really fell off. At one
- 8:16Speaker 1: point four straight penalties and yeah, it was just tough man.
- 8:20Speaker 1: James Cook then gets in the end zone. Now the
- 8:22Speaker 1: score thirty one to three, and the game just clearly
- 8:24Speaker 1: got away from the Seahawks. Hawks would finally get in
- 8:27Speaker 1: the end zone with a nine play seventy yard drive
- 8:29Speaker 1: and when Zach Sharbonne a touchdown, that made the score
- 8:32Speaker 1: thirty one to ten, and that's how the game would end.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Final stats were not kind to the Seahawks. If you
- 8:37Speaker 1: look into the box score, the Bills out gained the
- 8:39Speaker 1: Hawks four hundred and forty five to two thirty three.
- 8:42Speaker 1: The Bills had twenty nine first downs, the Seahawks had seventeen.
- 8:45Speaker 1: The Bills dominated time of possession thirty eight minutes to
- 8:49Speaker 1: twenty one. Bills were eight to fifteen on third down
- 8:52Speaker 1: and the Seahawks were just one to seven. The Hawks
- 8:55Speaker 1: were held to just thirty two yards rushing, the Bills
- 8:57Speaker 1: ran for over one hundred and sixty. The Seahawks were
- 8:59Speaker 1: penalized eleven times, and shockingly enough, the Bills were actually
- 9:02Speaker 1: penalized more times than the Seahawks. A ton of laundry
- 9:05Speaker 1: on the field all the game long. But like I
- 9:07Speaker 1: said at the beginning, it was a tough game. The
- 9:09Speaker 1: Seahawks didn't have their fastball, they didn't execute, and it
- 9:12Speaker 1: just didn't go their way. And you can't do that
- 9:14Speaker 1: against a really good team like Buffalo. But everything that
- 9:19Speaker 1: I've seen this year, yes, it hasn't been great over
- 9:21Speaker 1: the last little bit over a months, lost four or
- 9:23Speaker 1: five games, but they have the guys in.
- 9:25Speaker 2: The locker room.
- 9:26Speaker 1: They have the guys that can make plays. You're missing
- 9:28Speaker 1: a DK metcalf, a couple of things just don't go
- 9:30Speaker 1: your way. Don't get me wrong. They didn't play well
- 9:32Speaker 1: on Sunday, but they have the guys in the locker
- 9:34Speaker 1: room that if they were to play a Buffalo again,
- 9:36Speaker 1: or when they play another good team, I think we'd
- 9:38Speaker 1: get a better, better result because the effort was there.
- 9:41Speaker 1: It just we didn't execute. The Seahawks just didn't do
- 9:44Speaker 1: what they needed to do to win the game. But
- 9:46Speaker 1: there were a couple of plays that were made. Yesterday
- 9:48Speaker 1: I was talking about the playmakers.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Playmakers is totally.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Well, we'll start where we normally do and that's the
- 10:02Speaker 1: Gino Smith at the quarterback position. He didn't have the
- 10:04Speaker 1: greatest game. He didn't have a game like he had
- 10:06Speaker 1: in Atlanta. He was twenty one to twenty nine for
- 10:08Speaker 1: two hundred and twelve yards in the one interception QB
- 10:11Speaker 1: rating of seventy eight point five. Now, Gino has been
- 10:15Speaker 1: under a lot of pressure this entire season and for
- 10:18Speaker 1: the most part has done such a good job. I mean,
- 10:20Speaker 1: came into the game leading the league in passing, leading
- 10:22Speaker 1: the league and topson completion percentage, in yards attempts, all
- 10:27Speaker 1: that stuff. And you know, he didn't throw for over
- 10:29Speaker 1: thirty times, but it just wasn't couldn't get into a rhythm, right.
- 10:34Speaker 1: There were some really good throws, like on that drive
- 10:36Speaker 1: when the Seahawks were it looked like the tide was turning,
- 10:40Speaker 1: and a bunch of big completions down the field, but
- 10:42Speaker 1: it just couldn't get into a rhythm and things couldn't
- 10:44Speaker 1: really get pieced together for him.
- 10:47Speaker 2: And it's just it's frustrating, man.
- 10:48Speaker 1: You know, on the tip ball on the screen again,
- 10:51Speaker 1: just bad luck baby Gino should throw it into the
- 10:53Speaker 1: ground there, but it's hard to tell us for the
- 10:56Speaker 1: defenders right there in the throwing lane, it could have
- 10:58Speaker 1: been a really good call luck, which is honestly, it's
- 11:01Speaker 1: unfortunate for him successfully because especially I should say because
- 11:06Speaker 1: most of his interceptions this year have been that have
- 11:08Speaker 1: been tipped or something's been influenced where he's been hit
- 11:10Speaker 1: or pressured. So he made some good plays. It just
- 11:13Speaker 1: wasn't the best game bo him. So we're hoping he
- 11:15Speaker 1: could bounce back against the Rams coming up Jack and
- 11:18Speaker 1: Smith and Jig. But he had six receptions for sixty
- 11:20Speaker 1: nine yards, team high. He also had an eighteen yard reception.
- 11:23Speaker 1: AJ Barner had two receptions for thirty four yards and
- 11:27Speaker 1: then shout out to Ernest Jones who came over. Had
- 11:30Speaker 1: essentially one real practice with the Seahawks, and he led
- 11:33Speaker 1: the team with fifteen tackles. And that's just for a
- 11:36Speaker 1: guy to be traded twice in a year and to
- 11:38Speaker 1: be in Tennessee on Tuesday, to get to Seattle on Thursday.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Practice once, have a walk through, a couple walkthroughs. Then
- 11:44Speaker 1: you're playing in a game against a really good Buffalo
- 11:46Speaker 1: Bill's team and it's tough. But love the effort I've
- 11:49Speaker 1: seen from him. I think he's going to get more comfortable.
- 11:52Speaker 1: I promise you he's going to be an impact player.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Just when you look at the tape, his resume doesn't lie.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I think when he gets his feet under him, gets
- 11:59Speaker 1: really in this defense. I think it's going to be
- 12:01Speaker 1: really good for the Seahawks. Then our guy Josh job
- 12:05Speaker 1: I mentioned him earlier. We're going to talk about his
- 12:07Speaker 1: play specifically here in a second. But seven tackles, one
- 12:09Speaker 1: pass defended, one interception broke up Josh Allen's interception list streak.
- 12:15Speaker 1: So really good to see a guy that you know
- 12:17Speaker 1: was in two different spots just do his thing and
- 12:20Speaker 1: really excited about what Josh Joe has been able to
- 12:22Speaker 1: bring the last few weeks. Kobe Bryant had six tackles
- 12:25Speaker 1: and one big pass defense. And Michael Dixon. You know,
- 12:29Speaker 1: we don't talk a lot about the punters, but we
- 12:31Speaker 1: can show the punters a little bit of left here.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Michael Dixon four punts two hundred and forty five yards
- 12:37Speaker 1: sixty one yard average. He had one punt that went
- 12:39Speaker 1: sixty eight yards. And let me tell you something. Okay,
- 12:42Speaker 1: people voting for the Pro Bowl and All Pro I
- 12:46Speaker 1: don't know how Michael Dixon continues to get snubbed every year.
- 12:49Speaker 1: It makes no sense. He has one of the best
- 12:52Speaker 1: averages in the history of the National Football League. He
- 12:56Speaker 1: continues to do his job each and every season and
- 12:58Speaker 1: it's super disappointed that he doesn't get the recognition that
- 13:01Speaker 1: he deserves. So Mike, I'm giving it to you right here.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Michael Dixon had a solid day. Just taking a look
- 13:06Speaker 1: at the receivers, I mentioned some of them here in
- 13:08Speaker 1: the receiver roundup, No DK Metcalf. So anytime you don't
- 13:11Speaker 1: have one of the league's best receivers. He was number
- 13:14Speaker 1: three in the entire NFL going into that game. He
- 13:17Speaker 1: was number one in completions over twenty yards hanging into
- 13:20Speaker 1: that game. So when you take a guy that can
- 13:22Speaker 1: take the top off the defense, that can run by you,
- 13:24Speaker 1: that can run over you, that can block you with
- 13:26Speaker 1: one hand or onto the sideline, it's gonna be tough.
- 13:28Speaker 1: He's gonna have an impact on the game. So the
- 13:31Speaker 1: one good thing that we heard from coach McDonald today
- 13:34Speaker 1: was that he's optimistic that Gino will make his return
- 13:38Speaker 1: this week, but again optimistic. He has to see how
- 13:40Speaker 1: the week goes. Way too early to decide what's gonnappen.
- 13:43Speaker 1: They're gonna have to monitor that, really look through the
- 13:45Speaker 1: injury reports to look on Friday. I'm assuming if he
- 13:48Speaker 1: might be someone that goes up to game time We
- 13:49Speaker 1: just don't know, but it seems like Coach is optimistic
- 13:52Speaker 1: that he could make his return this week. Big thing
- 13:55Speaker 1: in that sentences could so we'll keep an eye on
- 13:57Speaker 1: that so hopefully will get there. I mentioned six for
- 14:00Speaker 1: sixty nine, Barnard two for thirty four, ken Walker four
- 14:04Speaker 1: for thirty three, Noah Fan three for twenty two.
- 14:07Speaker 2: He had a huge streak.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I believe it was twenty one straight attempts or completions
- 14:11Speaker 1: to him without any completion. That did not continue on
- 14:15Speaker 1: Sunday because he did have one target that he did
- 14:17Speaker 1: not catch.
- 14:17Speaker 2: But he's been killing it.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Sharponne was three for twenty, Jake Bobo one for fifteen,
- 14:22Speaker 1: Lavistika Chandal one for ten, and Tyler Lockett one for nine.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Now I alluded to it a little bit as I've
- 14:28Speaker 1: talked about it throughout this episode.
- 14:30Speaker 2: It's Josh show.
- 14:31Speaker 1: He's been a good story, but he turned a good
- 14:33Speaker 1: story into a playmaker as he had this interception on
- 14:37Speaker 1: Josh Allen.
- 14:42Speaker 3: As Johnson decided him in the backfield wide split to
- 14:45Speaker 3: the far side a test. I got to intercept it.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Pick up It's dope goes.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Stay all away down to the thirty twenty five fifteen
- 14:54Speaker 3: ten not golfer speed outside the five, Josh Allen coast
- 14:58Speaker 3: it up for the first time this season. He tries
- 15:03Speaker 3: to throw a slam right side, and.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Josh Job jumps in and the youngster takes it all
- 15:08Speaker 4: the way down inside the five, and the Seahawks are
- 15:12Speaker 4: set up to take a lead here in this second quarter.
- 15:16Speaker 3: We thought it was gonna happen. It's the first career
- 15:19Speaker 3: interception for the Job and the first one thrown this
- 15:21Speaker 3: year by Allen.
- 15:23Speaker 2: What I love about that is I heard boy Mafe.
- 15:25Speaker 1: He joined the huddle this week and he said, we're
- 15:29Speaker 1: talking about turnovers, and he talked about, you know, there's
- 15:33Speaker 1: always these conversation about turnovers coming bunches or like, man,
- 15:36Speaker 1: that person got lucky buck in that turnover, or he's
- 15:38Speaker 1: always in the right place at the right time this
- 15:40Speaker 1: and that.
- 15:41Speaker 2: No, no turnovers are.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Created because you're prepared, because you playing good defense, because
- 15:46Speaker 1: you get to the football and you are in the
- 15:48Speaker 1: right place.
- 15:48Speaker 2: At the right time because of your preparation.
- 15:51Speaker 1: And Josh Job on this play, Mariy Cooper's just running
- 15:54Speaker 1: a little slam his third and three, throwing a little
- 15:56Speaker 1: sticker out there, and Job is in the right spot.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Cooper's slips a little bit on the wet turf, but
- 16:01Speaker 1: Joe's in the right spot kind of stems in there.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Boom catches the football, runs it back all the way
- 16:06Speaker 1: seven yard line, setting up a potential seaw score, what
- 16:09Speaker 1: we thought at the time.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Huge thing about him.
- 16:11Speaker 1: And just for those who don't know a lot about Josh,
- 16:15Speaker 1: he played four seasons at the University of Alabama, including
- 16:17Speaker 1: helping him win a national championship in twenty twenty. So
- 16:20Speaker 1: he's not, you know, shy or not familiar with the
- 16:25Speaker 1: big stage after he playing big time college football there,
- 16:29Speaker 1: and then he goes undrafted to Philadelphia and they really
- 16:32Speaker 1: liked him in Philadelphia. He was they are kind of
- 16:35Speaker 1: special teams ace. He in two years there. You know,
- 16:38Speaker 1: he started three games last year. He played a team
- 16:41Speaker 1: high three hundred and twenty three special team snaps, ranking
- 16:44Speaker 1: second on the Eagles and special teams tackles with six.
- 16:46Speaker 1: He was an ACE on special teams for there as
- 16:48Speaker 1: a gunner. So he's been around the league a little bit.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Great job on the personnel department, John Schneider knowing Teasley
- 16:53Speaker 1: the rest of the guys to bring him in here,
- 16:55Speaker 1: and you know, essentially starting two games in a row,
- 16:58Speaker 1: had a good game against Atlanta and had a another
- 17:00Speaker 1: great play against the Bill. So obviously you're hoping Trey
- 17:03Speaker 1: Brown comes back and the secondary continues to get a
- 17:05Speaker 1: little bit healthier. Riekol And made his return this last week,
- 17:08Speaker 1: so you're hoping Trey will come back and they can
- 17:10Speaker 1: all be at full strength.
- 17:11Speaker 2: But the cool thing about Josh is he showed you
- 17:13Speaker 2: know that he can play.
- 17:15Speaker 1: He can play in this league, and there's a reason
- 17:17Speaker 1: he's up and again a great story. I love to
- 17:19Speaker 1: see it, and you know, to transition from just being
- 17:21Speaker 1: a good story to a guy that's actually making plays
- 17:24Speaker 1: for the Seahawks on the field. Well, like I said, man,
- 17:28Speaker 1: it was not pretty. The Seahawks lose thirty one to
- 17:31Speaker 1: ten to the Buffalo Bills, and the clock just ran out.
- 17:38Speaker 6: On me.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Taken fine, Hundley, They're just gonna let the clock wind down.
- 17:41Speaker 4: I'm not even gonna bother taking that last time out.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Tough day at the offense for the Hawks just couldn't
- 17:48Speaker 1: get out of their own way. The Seahawks had the
- 17:49Speaker 1: ball inside the Bill's five yard line twice, only walking
- 17:53Speaker 1: away with three points. That's not gonna get it done
- 17:55Speaker 1: against a really good team like Buffalo. The Seahawks also
- 17:59Speaker 1: lose the turnover battle and were dominated in time of possession.
- 18:02Speaker 1: The Bills became the first team to have two touchdown
- 18:04Speaker 1: drives of ninety yards in one half since twenty twenty two.
- 18:10Speaker 2: The Hawks were.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Penalized eleven times, and each one felt like the game
- 18:13Speaker 1: at the worst time.
- 18:15Speaker 2: It just wasn't a good game.
- 18:16Speaker 1: But the Seahawks are in a spot now where obviously
- 18:18Speaker 1: they can't feel bad for themselves. They have a huge
- 18:20Speaker 1: and I mean huge divisional game against the Rams at
- 18:23Speaker 1: Lumenfield this Sunday. Every NFC West team right now has
- 18:27Speaker 1: four losses. The Rams are three and four because they
- 18:29Speaker 1: already had their buy but to me, that just means
- 18:32Speaker 1: this division is wide open. The Niners had a big
- 18:34Speaker 1: winning It's the Cowboys last night, but everyone's in it.
- 18:37Speaker 1: The Seahawks have the Rams, there's a bye week, and
- 18:39Speaker 1: they have the forty nine Ers, so they have two
- 18:41Speaker 1: huge inner division matchses with in the NFC that are
- 18:44Speaker 1: really going to decide their fate later in the season.
- 18:46Speaker 1: So this is a huge game and I think the
- 18:48Speaker 1: Seahawks are gonna be game. They lost the last two
- 18:50Speaker 1: games to the Rams last season. Obviously, new team, new
- 18:53Speaker 1: coaching staff, The Rams are getting some of their guys back.
- 18:55Speaker 1: But I promise you I think the Seahawks are going
- 18:58Speaker 1: to be ready for that battle because it's so and
- 19:00Speaker 1: I hope the twelves are ready for it.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Two.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Me and bump will be back on Thursday getting you
- 19:05Speaker 1: ready for this matchup. And I'm excited because when you
- 19:08Speaker 1: have a clunker in this game of football, you just
- 19:10Speaker 1: cannot wait to get back there on the field and
- 19:12Speaker 1: show who you really are. And that wasn't the Seahawks,
- 19:15Speaker 1: And I know they can have better performances. They're not
- 19:17Speaker 1: quite to where they want to go, but they're going
- 19:19Speaker 1: to continue to process it.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Every day.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Coach McDonald talks about stack and wins, and they're gonna
- 19:23Speaker 1: do that every single day as we lead into Thursday.
- 19:26Speaker 1: So thank you for bearing with me. Without Michael Bumpus
- 19:29Speaker 1: the real guru here. But yeah, the Seahawks taking on
- 19:33Speaker 1: the Rams this Sunday. It's gonna be a huge one.
- 19:35Speaker 1: We'll be back on Thursday giving you a preview breaking
- 19:37Speaker 1: down everything and you know about the Los Angeles Rams.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Remember you can.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Watch this on YouTube under the Seahawks press past Channel
- 19:43Speaker 1: rate US on Apple, podcast, seriess XM, and more. Seahawks
- 19:47Speaker 1: fall to the Buffalo Bills thirty one to ten.
- 19:50Speaker 2: This has been HOWK Talk? Did you never know where
- 20:02Speaker 2: I had them?
- 20:06Speaker 3: The
