- 4:21her life as a young Christian. So we would love to welcome to the
- 4:28stage Minister Tatiana Forrera. Hopefully I said her name right, because I can
- 4:34surely mess up somebody's name in a minute. How are you doing, Hi,
- 4:42Yes, you sound you said my name right. Thank you so much.
- 4:46I'm doing good. Thank you so much for inviting me on. You
- 4:50could have chose anybody, but I thank you for the invitation. Invitation tonight,
- 4:56I thank you for accepting on tonight. As we were talking earlier,
- 5:00I've watched you grow up from a little little girl, too wonderful, amazing
- 5:11young woman who knows what she wants, had a life, and you're a
- 5:15goal getter. So on tonight, I know a little bit about you since
- 5:21you've grown up through Facebook, but share with the other listeners on tonight,
- 5:29a little bit about Tatiana Farrea. Okay, So I'm Tatiana Farrera. I
- 5:35am a minister, I am a PK. My dad is a pastor and
- 5:42I served at his church where Faith Temple Deliverance Church and also Faith Family Church.
- 5:49I am very active in my church. I do a lot with my
- 5:54father. I love the people of God. I love to speak. I
- 5:59also reas I just achieved my bachelor's degree and congratulations, Yes to God be
- 6:06the glory. And then I'm so excited that my book is just encouraging people
- 6:13from all ages and different men and women are being encouraged. I just want
- 6:19to being encouraged to everybody. Encouragement to everybody. That's what I'm all about.
- 6:27Yes, and you are encouraging, especially to the young people, because
- 6:32today we don't see a lot of young people who are sold out to what
- 6:41they believe in. We see a lot of compromising. We see a lot
- 6:45of people who are afraid to tell their peers that they're Christians and believers.
- 6:57And so you with you, you are identically you, and you come across
- 7:03as a Christian young lady. So tell us about your book, Umasking the
- 7:11Real Me. Yes, so Unmasking the Room. I wish I had it
- 7:16with me, but I don't. Umasking the Room Me. I wrote this
- 7:21book. So, this book has been in the works for a couple of
- 7:27years now, a lot of I've been through a lot as a young woman.
- 7:32I've been through a lot. I've experienced bullying in school. I've experienced,
- 7:38you know, low self esteem. I've experienced being isolated because of my
- 7:45relationship with Christ. And so all of these things that I have gone through.
- 7:49God wanted me to put this in a book, to say, to
- 7:55explain to people, what are the things that young Christians are going through?
- 8:00Why, what are their battling, what are their suffering? Um. I
- 8:03know with a lot of young people, it's like they feel ashamed of being
- 8:09Christian. They feel like it's not popular to do so. So I wanted
- 8:13to to create this book to really be transparent about my story of coming into
- 8:20christs and the things that Christ has delivered me from. UM. Yes,
- 8:26thank you for putting the link up there. And I wanted to share everything
- 8:31that Christ has delivered me from in my life because so many young people are
- 8:39going through things in the church and they they're they're they're afraid to say something
- 8:45or share, And so I wanted to be transparent about certain things um that
- 8:50young people go through in church. Right right as we were saying before that
- 8:58a lot of young people don't see other young people like they feel like they're
- 9:05serving God by themselves in a bubble. As the youth director of my ministry,
- 9:13I tell the young people that you need to go out and visit other
- 9:18churches so you can see that there are other young people who are living for
- 9:26God. And as we try to tell you that the Christian life is the
- 9:33best life that you can have, and it's best when you accept God.
- 9:39As a young person, you're gonna have challenges, but as you get older,
- 9:45you have more and more temptations or things that you have tried, like
- 9:50things that you never tried you can't miss, but once you tried it,
- 9:54then you're always longing forward and tell you really get delivered. So being transparent
- 10:07was one of the reasons why you named the book Masking the Real Meat,
- 10:13And there are other reasons why you chose that title. That's hafic was very
- 10:20it was piercing my heart the whole time. And because it's just like it's
- 10:26a deep it's a deep title to me because it's it's unmasking. When you
- 10:33think about a mask. You know a lot of people in church are wearing
- 10:37masks. They don't want to share what they're going through. Some people,
- 10:41you know, they're smiling in front of people, and then behind closed doors
- 10:45they're going through so much. And so unmasking is really peeling back the layers,
- 10:52taking back the layers, taking off the mask, taking off the facade.
- 10:56Stop trying to be perfect because permant. For a long time, I
- 11:03was trying to be perfect. I wanted to have everything right. I wanted
- 11:05to do everything correct and all of this stuff. But God is God literally
- 11:11said, how can I help you? If you are perfect? How can
- 11:18I how can I um heal you if you if nothing is wrong with you?
- 11:24How can I help you if you're one hundred percent okay? If you
- 11:28even think about like a hospital, the doctor doesn't check you if he doesn't
- 11:33know that something is wrong with you. So in this book I opened up
- 11:39really about being transparent with God, being open with God, and stop trying
- 11:46to pretend to be perfect. In front of people, in front of the
- 11:52of church people, because a lot of church people can be judgmental. A
- 11:56lot of church church people can can and say things wrong to you. But
- 12:01I wanted to share my story in a way that say I'm gonna be real
- 12:05so that I can become free. I'm gonna be transparent so I can become
- 12:11free from whatever issue I'm going through. Because you cannot become free unless you
- 12:18first acknowledge that you have a problem, acknowledge that you have an issue,
- 12:24acknowledge that you have a situation that you need God to help you. When
- 12:30you get to that point, you said, God, I need you to
- 12:33help me. I need you to look I can't do this by myself.
- 12:37I can't heal myself, I can't change myself. That is the point when
- 12:41God will see your humbleness and say, I'm not trying to I'm not trying
- 12:46to look good in front of people, but I want to truly be free
- 12:50within my soul. So unmasking the real mess, not trying to be perfect,
- 12:58but acknowledge my flaws, acknowledging the things that I need God to help
- 13:03me with. Because a lot of people have a problem with acknowledging the things
- 13:09that they need help with. So I wanted to truly be real and say,
- 13:15I'm I'm opening myself up and I'm gonna tell God everything I need him
- 13:20to deliver me from. And yes, that's really what the unmasking is about,
- 13:26being open and being real and truly acknowledging where I needed God's help.
- 13:35Hey man, that's true because a lot of young people leave the church because
- 13:43as older Christians like you said, our judgmental and we act like we've always
- 13:52been perfect, like we never made any mistakes. So therefore, when a
- 13:58young person makes them mistake, instead of us covering them because it says that
- 14:03love covers a multitude of sins, or instead of explaining to them, you
- 14:09know that is not just something you went through, but I went through something
- 14:13similar that I haven't. In my ministry, I try to be transparent to
- 14:20let them know that I haven't always been a safe propertess that I've been through
- 14:26some things. I fell down, I scraped my knee, but I didn't
- 14:31stay. Now, I got back up and one question, I didn't write
- 14:35it down, but I'm an as it to you. Now, do you
- 14:39feel that as a PreK PreK kid that the church tried to hold you to
- 14:50a higher standard than a lay members kid one hundred percent. So and it's
- 14:58just like it's so ridiculous, and it makes it so hard for pks to
- 15:03just you know, and a lot of peaks run away from the church because
- 15:07they feel so much pressure on them. They feel like there's so much pressure
- 15:13to the point like they have to be perfect, they can't make a mistake,
- 15:16or their life is over they can't make a mistake, or God is
- 15:20you know, God is it is canceling them or I and I've seen this
- 15:24a lot like members, some members would literally have so much expectation on the
- 15:31pastor's kid more than they do their own children. And sometimes that can be
- 15:39like a double standard because it's like, Okay, you're telling me to do
- 15:43this, but your child is not even here or nowhere to be found.
- 15:48So it's kind of just like that can literally make a lot of peks leave
- 15:54the church because they feel like they they're so much pressure on them to be
- 16:00perfect, there's so much pressure on them to get everything right, and that
- 16:04there's so many people looking at them and so many people watching them. So
- 16:11it's definitely something that's very up. It could be very pressuring. It could
- 16:18be a lot of pressure in that aspect to be a p K, because
- 16:22you feel like there's always a comparison. It's always like you have to be
- 16:27perfect, you always have to do everything right, and it's just it's it
- 16:33leaves no room from mess up. And it's just like God wants us to
- 16:37mess up so that we can experience the grace of God. You know,
- 16:42if we would not have messed up, we don't know what God's grace is.
- 16:48We don't know what forgiveness is. We don't know what God's unconditional love
- 16:52is. If we have not experienced these mess ups, if we have not
- 16:59experienced the is the fall if we have not. And what I have learned
- 17:03is this, You learn more from your fall and your disappointments and your failures
- 17:11then constantly being perfect. You cannot learn anything from getting everything right. But
- 17:19when you when you fall, and when you fail, and when you have
- 17:23mistakes and when you do things wrong, you are able to know, Okay,
- 17:29what can I do better next time? How can I prevent this?
- 17:33How can I do this better? You can learn from your mistakes. So
- 17:38I think God wants everyone of us, even if you're a p cave if
- 17:44you're not, or if you're just a young person or whatever. He wants
- 17:49use our falls and our failures and our challenges to to teach us and to
- 17:59be able to teach other people, like our testimonies teaches other people. Like
- 18:06we would not have a testimony without a test so we would not have a
- 18:11have a story without a storm. So the thing we go through is literally
- 18:19to teach us and to teach everyone else. Hey man, because as uh
- 18:27minister, and I have a young daughter who just turned twenty one today.
- 18:32Shout out to Sabriya for her twenty first birthday. But um, my method
- 18:40of dealing with her is I deal with her the same way that I would
- 18:45deal with any young person. That um, I don't expect her to be
- 18:53perfect because she got a real world deal. They said that the words kids
- 18:59are preaching kids and teachers kids. So I'm a minister and a teachers.
- 19:03Are you really got a ordeal? So but I treat uh like I do
- 19:07the kids in my class, like I do the young people in the church.
- 19:11I don't expect any more out of her than I do another young person.
- 19:18And then she falls just like I would tell another young person that you
- 19:23can get back up again. That I made mistakes along the way. I
- 19:29fell along the way, I was tempted along the way, but I never
- 19:36gave up. I never just laid there. So can you tell us what
- 19:40then your journey to becoming a published author? So young? My journey?
- 19:49My journey started in my teens, like my journey started in my teen years.
- 19:56I actually in high school. I was I wrote a lot of poetry.
- 20:00I wrote a lot of poems and poetry that was my thing. And
- 20:06then God began to change my poetry and to like sermons. So then I
- 20:11started to preach the gospel and write down sermons and my notes and do sermons.
- 20:18And then after that, I always needed an outlet because sometimes even as
- 20:26a minister, as a child of God, as a vessel of God,
- 20:30you don't truly have an outlet. And so God gave me the outlet of
- 20:37writing in my journal. And so writing in my journal was like something that
- 20:42I always did, even even since I was like in my teenage years.
- 20:48And from that, literally my book is made up of experiences that I have
- 20:55written in my journal. So from that I put into the book. So
- 21:02it was. I had to reach out to a public publishing company. But
- 21:07all of the stuff, it's so crazy. All of the stuff that is
- 21:11in my book was things that God have put in me from my journaling and
- 21:18writing down my thoughts and all that stuff. So all of the young people
- 21:22out there, I don't know if there's young people watching whatever. When you
- 21:26feel like God is speaking to you, or when you feel like you have
- 21:32feelings or anything like that, write them down on paper. Even those people
- 21:38who you know want to write songs or want to do anything like that,
- 21:42write down those words on a paper. The Bible says, write down the
- 21:48vision and make it plain. There's something powerful about writing it down. So
- 21:55God, God truly used writing things down to push me into writing a book.
- 22:03And once I wrote things down, it began to become more and more,
- 22:08um like book book like writing a book. But I reached out to
- 22:14a published publishing company and then I have my cover done. I had to
- 22:19do a photo shoot for the cover. Um. And then everything came together
- 22:26like that, Um God. And it was so crazy because there was a
- 22:30point in time when I was not going to write this book, but I
- 22:37would receive confirmation from prophetic people that will literally just come out of nowhere.
- 22:44Message Me said, God, God is telling you write this book in your
- 22:49youth. And they did not know at all that I was writing a book,
- 22:56I was even planning anything. So I received so many confirmation from God,
- 23:02from the vessels of God and to let me know that this is what
- 23:07God wanted me to do. Amen. So now we're gonna take a brief
- 23:11commercial break and we'll be right back with minnester Patianna and we will finish um
- 23:19discussing dating as a young person. What are all right? We'll be right

- 24:52the second half of Inspirational Moments when Profits they Live Again and we have our
- 25:00guests Attiana Farrea and she is talking about her book Amassing the Real Me,
- 25:10and she will tell us later how we can get a copy of that book.
- 25:17So, Um, Pattianna, as a young minister, what are some
- 25:23of the challenges that you face? This is a loaded question. Um,
- 25:33that's a powerful question. One is they The first one is they automatically assume
- 25:38that you don't know how to have fun. Like It's like, once they
- 25:44find out that you're a minister, they'll be like, oh, snap,
- 25:48you're a minister, Like you don't know how to have fun. But I
- 25:53have to always say, like I don't have a problem with having fun.
- 25:59It's just all about what are we doing, Like what are we doing and
- 26:03having fun? Like are we just hanging out? Are we just you know,
- 26:07as long as it doesn't go against the Bible, I'm okay with it.
- 26:11But sometimes people just like automatically assume like you can't hang out or you
- 26:17can't have fun or whatever like that. But I'm a very balanced person.
- 26:22I'm very balanced. I go to the movie sometimes, I go out on
- 26:27walks, I go bowling, I have fun thing, I go on fun
- 26:33activities. So I think that's a misconception when people think, you know,
- 26:38over sudden because you become a minister, that you can't have fun, you
- 26:44can't do things that God wants you to enjoy your life while you're still here.
- 26:48So I think that's a misconception that people have. Another thing is like
- 26:59you go through money, spiritual attacks, spiritual and mental emotional attacks. I
- 27:07think people don't talk about that enough. Um, you know, when you're
- 27:11doing the things of God, it's not going to be easy. It's not
- 27:15gonna be like you know, you're you're just floating through you know, clouds
- 27:19and everything. No, there's there's going to be moments where you feel discouraged.
- 27:25There's gonna be moments when you feel when you feel like you want to
- 27:29give up. There's gonna be moments when you feel like that, when you
- 27:33feel God has not called you for the assignment. So it's like I go
- 27:37through those moments and those are those are attacks from the enemy. It's attacks
- 27:44to make to make me stop what I'm doing. But I go through those
- 27:48moments and you just have to read. You just have to shift yourself back
- 27:55into to knowing what God has knowing that God has called you, knowing that
- 28:03God has placed this in you, and not to be discouraged and not to
- 28:07be because sometimes you might say, oh, there's just one person watching me.
- 28:14There's not a lot of people watching me. I'm not really inspiring people.
- 28:18Even though somebody might not be saying anything, they're still watching, they're
- 28:22still looking, they're still being inspired, they're still being encouraged by your life.
- 28:29So I always that's a battle, like sometimes you go through the spiritual
- 28:33attacks and discouragement. Another thing, Oh, I don't know. Another thing.
- 28:45Another thing is the dating, since we're about to go into dating.
- 28:48Yeah, I think dating is a tough thing when you're trying, when you're
- 28:55trying to do things, when you're trying to live the way God wants you.
- 29:00That's definitely one of the tough challenges in life is dating as a young
- 29:07minister. That's tough. Yes, yes, because a lot of a lot
- 29:15of people, because so many people say that they are Christians, but they
- 29:22compromise and certain situations and rationalize when people see people all sold out for Christ.
- 29:36But like I said to you early early on, that just watching you
- 29:41through Facebook and listening to your reading your posts and talking about not settling and
- 29:52knowing you know, a lot of times you hear older people say, your
- 29:57husband is in your church. The husband is in the you know, in
- 30:00the church. And sometimes when, especially as older person, when you go
- 30:08to church, you don't see that many available suitors. So you're wondering,
- 30:15like what churches they are? Can you please get me the directions to that
- 30:18church? But like I said that, you know, you're inspiration to me
- 30:25because you're a young girl holding on and your parents are inspiration because they've been
- 30:33together from the time when they were young. Now, yeah, my par
- 30:41it's so funny that you mentioned like church, because it's so sad. You
- 30:47have to be careful like a lot of Christians throw around like people, the
- 30:52word Christian is thrown around too loosely. Yes, you have you have people
- 30:57who are only Christian by the name. They have the type of Christians,
- 31:03but their lifestyle is not matching up at all. And so I've been I
- 31:07dealt with men in the church who resembled men that were outside of the church.
- 31:17I mean, let's just talk about it. Sometimes they will talk about
- 31:22sexual things that sometimes they would, you know, talk about sex before marriage,
- 31:30you know, all the things that God speaks against. And so when
- 31:34I'm a person who believes and the Bible it's a battle because it's like you're
- 31:41supposed to be a child of God and a man of God, but you're
- 31:45not really. So it's important that you always understand, always look at the
- 31:52person's fruits. What are they living like, what is their lifestyle? You
- 31:56know, it's easy for someone to say they're a Christian, but what are
- 32:01there, what are their beliefs, what are they're talking about, what are
- 32:06they're doing in their lives? So, um, yeah, that's that's one
- 32:10of the things that you gotta be careful because you can't always believe what people
- 32:16say. You have to look at people's actions. Rights. Yeah, just
- 32:22because you go to church doesn't mean that you're a Christian. You can sit
- 32:28in church every Sunday, just like you can sit in a garage, but
- 32:34that doesn't make your car so you can go and you know, like you
- 32:38said, it's your future, it's how you're living. And I know that
- 32:44as young people is very hard, and like I said earlier, a lot
- 32:49of not only young people, but a lot of people compromise and try to
- 32:55rationalize their lifestyle. But um, what what's next for you? What's next
- 33:08for me? Honestly, I'm just I feel like I'm gonna write some more
- 33:15books in the future, and one day I want to try to do a
- 33:20movie. I want to try to do a movie one day and see how
- 33:23that it, see how that is. But mostly I want to do whatever
- 33:29God wants me to do. Um, you know, just yeah, I
- 33:35want to do whatever God wants me to do. But I do want to
- 33:37write more books. God has laid laid it on my heart to write more
- 33:43and He has been showing me through dreams, um what the next book is
- 33:47going to be about. So I'm excited to um to release that one.
- 33:53But I'm I'm excited to also start you know, I'm looking at doing movies
- 34:00as well. But yeah, I'm excited about you know, everything that's God.
- 34:06God's going to to do through me. And it's all for the glory
- 34:09of God to help people, um, to to help people find that relationships
- 34:15with Christ. Amen. Amen, and your life and your your books and
- 34:22your movie are gonna be our inspiration to many young people. Many young people
- 34:30are gonna come to Christ because of your story and your conviction. And you're
- 34:36holding on to what you believe in because a lot of young people are gonna
