- 1:37Speaker 1: Let's start with a synopsis of Hearts Around the Table.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Sure, Jenna plans a charity event for a billionaire Tom
- 1:44Speaker 2: red Lens, but working with Tom's right hand man, Andrew
- 1:48Speaker 2: is proving difficult, especially since Jenna and Andrew have a
- 1:52Speaker 2: romantic history. Before we get into the details of Hearts
- 1:57Speaker 2: Around the Table, Jenna's first left, I didn't include all
- 2:01Speaker 2: the actors.
- 2:02Speaker 3: We'll get to them.
- 2:03Speaker 1: We'll get to them in their movies. Okay cool. Marco
- 2:05Speaker 1: Defimia is credited with directing three of the four Hearts
- 2:08Speaker 1: Around the Table movies. Among his thirty two directing credits
- 2:12Speaker 1: are the four Jane Mystery movies as well as The
- 2:14Speaker 1: Heiress and the Handyman.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Paula Siberius wrote Jenna's first love as well as Josh's
- 2:20Speaker 2: third serving in the Hearts Around the Table universe, she
- 2:23Speaker 2: has thirteen writing credits, which include The Jane Mysteries, Murder
- 2:27Speaker 2: at Moseby and The Air Harris, The Ears, and The Handyman,
- 2:31Speaker 2: whoa lots of crossover here with the writer and director.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Ashley Newbrow stars as Jenna.
- 2:37Speaker 1: She was recently in the Unwrapping Christmas Collection on Hallmark
- 2:39Speaker 1: Plus in twenty twenty four, as well as Operation Nutcracker,
- 2:43Speaker 1: Love On the Right Course and Flipping for Christmas.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Best Hair in the Biz Yep.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Steve Lonn plays Andrew. Steve co starred in the much
- 2:51Speaker 2: loved Mistletoe Murders series from the last holiday season. He's
- 2:56Speaker 2: also been in movies like Christmas Bedtime Stories and Baby
- 2:59Speaker 2: It's Cool Inside.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Mindy Cone, Yes that Mindy Cone co stars as Angie.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You will likely see Mindy reprise this role throughout the
- 3:06Speaker 1: entire collection of movies. Mindy is best known for her
- 3:09Speaker 1: role on the Facts of Life and has recently been
- 3:11Speaker 1: seen on the series Palm roy Al. Al Mukadamb co
- 3:17Speaker 1: stars as Tim Redlands.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Fans of The Way Home will recognize Al as adult
- 3:22Speaker 2: Brady Dewan. Can we make an official request for more al.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Mukadam. Jillian Morrow plays assistant Terry. This is Jillian's first
- 3:32Speaker 1: acting credit. She wrote a book published in twenty twenty
- 3:35Speaker 1: called The Girl in the Wheelchair.
- 3:36Speaker 3: It's Not that.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Bad about life After her MS diagnosis. Let's take a
- 3:40Speaker 1: quick break and we're gonna come right back with first impressions. Hey, Wendy,
- 3:52Speaker 1: what is your first impression of Hearts around the Table
- 3:54Speaker 1: Jenna's first love.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I gotta tell you, I did not expect this particular
- 4:00Speaker 2: movie to one make me cry and to google ombre
- 4:05Speaker 2: pleated skirt.
- 4:06Speaker 3: But here we are.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Do you know the skirt I'm talking about? I don't
- 4:10Speaker 1: what I do have some passion thoughts about this movie?
- 4:13Speaker 1: All good? All right? My first impression is, tell me
- 4:15Speaker 1: Mindy Cone as Angie, isn't the modern day missus Garrett?
- 4:18Speaker 1: Oh a one hundred percent absol freako lutely.
- 4:21Speaker 3: You take the good, you take the bad, you take
- 4:23Speaker 3: them both in there?
- 4:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I haven't seen that show in forty years.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I know you've probably seen it more recently than that.
- 4:30Speaker 1: My husband watching a lot of old television, folks. That's
- 4:33Speaker 1: the tie in there I have, In fact you have. Yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 1: she's definitely the It's not very good. Oh, I'm sure
- 4:40Speaker 1: it's not like the drama is so contrived?
- 4:44Speaker 3: Is it? But I loved that show in.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Its time, but didn't like Joe get like attacked or
- 4:49Speaker 2: something like what I.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Think they tackle some heavier issues, like Blair has an
- 4:52Speaker 1: eating disc Yeah, yeah, there are there are some heavier issues.
- 4:58Speaker 3: A two D I believe has she may have dyslexia.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Anyway, I gotta tell you, I think I remember one
- 5:05Speaker 1: of our counterparts, Dan and Deck the homework, said he
- 5:09Speaker 1: did not know who Mindy Cone was. He said he
- 5:12Speaker 1: had to google her, to which my text response was gasp,
- 5:16Speaker 1: I mean a legend. I have more notes about why
- 5:20Speaker 1: I remember who she is. I have always felt an
- 5:22Speaker 1: affinity towards her ever since learning a one piece of information.
- 5:25Speaker 3: We'll talk about.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Oh, I can't wait, all right, let's talk about what
- 5:28Speaker 1: we liked. Well, look, I love the premise of this movie.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I love the idea of these foster siblings continuing their
- 5:34Speaker 1: relationship through adulthood. I was very touched by it, the
- 5:38Speaker 1: found family of it all. When Angie says I gather
- 5:41Speaker 1: my hearts together when she talks about dinner, that was
- 5:44Speaker 1: very touching. And I think this format for a collection
- 5:48Speaker 1: of movies is a great idea. It makes me look
- 5:51Speaker 1: forward to the other storylines being introduced to these characters
- 5:55Speaker 1: during their dinner table conversations. I'm personally probably most excited
- 5:59Speaker 1: about's storyline.
- 6:01Speaker 3: But I'm really drawn to Sherry.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Why are you interested in Josh's as the teacher?
- 6:06Speaker 3: He just take that. I don't know. He strikes me
- 6:09Speaker 3: as amusing.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Okay, I liked him. I liked all the I liked
- 6:13Speaker 1: all the cast. I like the premise of this movie too.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Obviously.
- 6:18Speaker 2: I knew going in like there was some sort of
- 6:22Speaker 2: like adoption or foster storyline. It was a little unclear
- 6:26Speaker 2: to me exactly what the dynamic was. Luckily, Meghan had
- 6:31Speaker 2: already seen it, and I texted her and I'm.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Like, what's the backstory here? They were all foster kids? Look,
- 6:37Speaker 1: I think Hallmark. Okay, wait, I'll leave that to it
- 6:42Speaker 1: in my wish. I'll leave it in my wish I have.
- 6:44Speaker 1: But I really liked I really liked the format of it.
- 6:50Speaker 4: And I think.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I didn't want to give this movie or series at
- 6:57Speaker 2: a series of whatever, a collection of movies, because we
- 7:02Speaker 2: have come off of collections of movies that.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Aren't very good m m.
- 7:10Speaker 2: And so I gotta say, like I kind of went
- 7:11Speaker 2: in with a little bit of a bias about it,
- 7:13Speaker 2: like these can't be that good. I really enjoyed this movie.
- 7:17Speaker 3: I agree.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I was definitely carrying a little bit of a bias
- 7:20Speaker 1: towards this movie based on some factors, and I was
- 7:24Speaker 1: proven wrong during movie number one. Yeah, for sure, movie
- 7:28Speaker 1: number one, And even in our Facebook groups some people
- 7:30Speaker 1: were like, no, these are lame, and I was like,
- 7:32Speaker 1: I have to disagree. Look, this is not a five
- 7:34Speaker 1: star movie for me. I'll tell you right now. It's
- 7:37Speaker 1: it's not a groundbreaking movie. But I really enjoyed it
- 7:41Speaker 1: for what it was. Yeah. One other thing I really
- 7:44Speaker 1: liked is just I like the way they present foster
- 7:46Speaker 1: families and the way Angie really shows up for these kids.
- 7:51Speaker 1: When Jenna is talking about her experience joining Angie's house,
- 7:57Speaker 1: she says, I didn't understand what it meant to be
- 7:59Speaker 1: taking care of Yeah, I just think Angie my experience
- 8:04Speaker 1: of foster care is through social media representation, and so
- 8:09Speaker 1: I think Angie paints a really positive picture of the
- 8:12Speaker 1: way foster care should be, of showing up to meet
- 8:14Speaker 1: a need in.
- 8:15Speaker 3: These kids' life. Uh huh. And I was very touching.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree. Let me just make sure that I
- 8:25Speaker 1: could hit some of the likes that I liked. I
- 8:27Speaker 1: thought the dynamic between the entire cast really worked.
- 8:32Speaker 2: I thought there was a really nice rhythm and flow
- 8:35Speaker 2: to their chemistry, Like when they're all around the dinner table,
- 8:39Speaker 2: it felt like, oh, yeah, that's an established family, that
- 8:42Speaker 2: those are people that have like grown up with each other.
- 8:46Speaker 2: You know, there was a little poking and joking.
- 8:48Speaker 1: But it was never like mean. I just thought, like,
- 8:52Speaker 1: that's really lovely. These people know each other, They know
- 8:55Speaker 1: each other, and there's there was no you know, like
- 8:59Speaker 1: there was no ten sounds like when families get together
- 9:02Speaker 1: there's all this like underlying tension.
- 9:04Speaker 2: It just wasn't there. And I thought you mentioned it early, Brett.
- 9:08Speaker 2: The hearts around the table theme like really landed for me.
- 9:11Speaker 2: It wasn't just a movie title, Like it really paid
- 9:15Speaker 2: off in these truly meaningful family moments they are Sunday
- 9:20Speaker 2: nights together. It just was so nice love that the
- 9:24Speaker 2: element that they are, you know, adults who have grown
- 9:28Speaker 2: up together in this Foster family hits way way more
- 9:31Speaker 2: deeply than if I'm just watching like a reconnected love
- 9:36Speaker 2: story between Jenna and Yeah, Like if it was just that,
- 9:40Speaker 2: I would be like not for me. Now if I
- 9:43Speaker 2: made about Mindy Cone, yeah, I was not sure. I
- 9:48Speaker 2: was not sure what to expect. I thought she was
- 9:50Speaker 2: gonna be way too like quirky and over the top
- 9:53Speaker 2: for me personally, but she totally would me over in
- 9:58Speaker 2: this role. I thought her character was warm, nurturing, endearing.
- 10:04Speaker 2: She said oh, she said, Oh my god. She said
- 10:07Speaker 2: this line that almost made me cry. And it was
- 10:10Speaker 2: at the top of the movie. At their first dinner
- 10:11Speaker 2: and they were talking about they might have been talking
- 10:13Speaker 2: about Rory, but Rory was definitely there, the younger guy
- 10:17Speaker 2: that she is currently fostering, and she said, asking for
- 10:21Speaker 2: help is such a beautiful skill. And I was like,
- 10:24Speaker 2: that is so nice and nothing that I would have
- 10:27Speaker 2: ever thought about. Right now, we're kind of like in
- 10:30Speaker 2: the season outside of podcasting, like our kids are preparing
- 10:36Speaker 2: for college or getting ready doing the application process, and
- 10:39Speaker 2: you know, a lot of people are like, oh, what
- 10:40Speaker 2: are your what are all your skills that you have?
- 10:43Speaker 2: Could you imagine saying like, one of my skills is
- 10:45Speaker 2: asking for help.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Knowing when I don't know what I don't know? Yeah,
- 10:50Speaker 3: that would knock me over.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Yeah, somebody I would be like, that's amazing, right, Like, God,
- 10:54Speaker 1: I love it. I love that line. Love that line. Also,
- 10:57Speaker 1: there was a lot of advice given in this movie.
- 10:59Speaker 1: That I thought was really well done, which then I
- 11:03Speaker 1: have to go it has to go back to the
- 11:05Speaker 1: good writing of the script, like, for example, when Jenna
- 11:09Speaker 1: finds Rory at the bus stop and they have that
- 11:11Speaker 1: whole conversation, like she gave really good advice in that conversation.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I can't remember the particulars right now, but I remember
- 11:18Speaker 1: feeling very moved by it. And then.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Also in addition, I love when movies use like current
- 11:28Speaker 2: day slang.
- 11:29Speaker 1: They used ghost like why did you ghost me? Love that?
- 11:33Speaker 1: And then they use the word dude, which I know
- 11:35Speaker 1: that's very like normal vernacular, but felt very relatable. Yeah, totally, totally.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Do you have any other likes? I have some more.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I don't want to. I just have a couple of
- 11:44Speaker 1: little things, okay, like when she was pitching. When when
- 11:46Speaker 1: Jenna was pitching her idea for her fundraiser, yes, I
- 11:50Speaker 1: was thinking, that's a great idea. And in fact, I
- 11:53Speaker 1: used to be in nonprofit fund raising as a career
- 11:56Speaker 1: and went to an event like that. And the reason
- 11:58Speaker 1: I went to an event like that was because I
- 12:00Speaker 1: was being sent to scope it out so we could
- 12:02Speaker 1: basically recreate the event for our own And when Andrew
- 12:07Speaker 1: came in and poo pooed it. I was displeased and
- 12:10Speaker 1: was very glad that that was the route they went.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I liked that scene a lot. Actually, it's funny that
- 12:15Speaker 1: you bring it up, because, like I was super invested
- 12:18Speaker 1: in her pitch, and then I was super invested in
- 12:21Speaker 1: why he didn't to get worked.
- 12:22Speaker 3: I did too.
- 12:23Speaker 1: When he explained the reason why Tom wasn't going to
- 12:28Speaker 1: like it.
- 12:29Speaker 3: I thought, Oh, that's interesting.
- 12:31Speaker 1: But then when Tom came in and at the event,
- 12:35Speaker 1: these people were like, it is a nice way to
- 12:37Speaker 1: see in a concrete way where our money is going.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Yeah, like I understood all of it.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Yeah, totally. As small like thank you for the voiceover
- 12:46Speaker 1: with the text messaging, she's text messaging her siblings and
- 12:49Speaker 1: we hear them speaking. The lines look not to be
- 12:52Speaker 1: woobo here, But that's very inclusive way to do things,
- 12:55Speaker 1: to have the audio and the visual cues. As a
- 12:57Speaker 1: person who watches TV with captions, I like both. Sometimes
- 13:01Speaker 1: it's hard to read those things on screen. And to
- 13:05Speaker 1: your point about Mandy Cone, I find her very delightful. Yes,
- 13:09Speaker 1: I watched Facts of Life back in the day, but
- 13:11Speaker 1: she because she's back in the eye being on Palm morel.
- 13:16Speaker 1: She's on a radio show. I listened to a lot
- 13:19Speaker 1: Jeff Lewis Live, and she was a guest several times,
- 13:22Speaker 1: and she was a great, engaging, entertaining guest, and so
- 13:27Speaker 1: that made me very interested when she started posting about
- 13:30Speaker 1: these movies. Look, I find her delightful, as I said,
- 13:34Speaker 1: and I feel a weird affinity for her because years
- 13:36Speaker 1: ago I learned that we went to the same college
- 13:39Speaker 1: and we were the same major, and so I'm.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Like, we're friends.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Oh, look at that. So interesting. And finally, if I
- 13:47Speaker 1: may say, I loved Sherry's wardrobe so much. Sherry's had
- 13:51Speaker 1: some great clothes.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Yeah, looks.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Every single time I thought I would wear that, I
- 13:56Speaker 1: would or I would aspire to wear that. Some of
- 13:59Speaker 1: it I would feel like everybody's looking at me because
- 14:02Speaker 1: I'm wearing a pattern. But I really thought she looked great.
- 14:05Speaker 1: I agree. I agree with you. They had Jenna in
- 14:08Speaker 1: a lot of like business ye type, a.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Lot of neutrals.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I did love her white dress with the pleated skirt
- 14:17Speaker 1: at the end, though I don't at the at the fundraiser,
- 14:22Speaker 1: that's not the same day with the pleated Ombraskert right,
- 14:25Speaker 1: because the Onmbraskert was a pleated straight skirt, but it
- 14:29Speaker 1: was like started green at the bottom and then went
- 14:31Speaker 1: up to white.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Oh maybe it was green.
- 14:33Speaker 2: But when were they kiss I can't remember, but it's
- 14:36Speaker 2: she had brought Andrew to dinner at their house.
- 14:38Speaker 1: So it's not the same. It was different.
- 14:39Speaker 2: It's not the same night I did. Yeah, I enjoyed
- 14:43Speaker 2: all the clothes actually in this In this movie, let's
- 14:47Speaker 2: talk about Ashley and Steve Lund. Yeah, as Jenna and Andrew.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I enjoyed their chemistry. Like I thought, oh, I'm.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Like, okay, I'm all in. There was like it wasn't
- 14:59Speaker 1: like the like I hate you.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Now we're gonna be friends lovers, Yeah, trope, but we
- 15:06Speaker 2: have history whatever.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I don't know. I still I liked him a lot.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Ish.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Yeah, there were some parts I didn't like about him,
- 15:14Speaker 2: and I'll get to it. But then you have Tom
- 15:17Speaker 2: Redlands come in, and it was like Papa, I thought,
- 15:21Speaker 2: between those two, yeah, that's all in my wishes.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Oh, Andrew saym okay, let's get into it. Then, well,
- 15:29Speaker 1: I think Tom Redlands, the billionaire, is more likable than
- 15:32Speaker 1: Andrew is okay, uh, Andrew, I thought both dudes had
- 15:40Speaker 1: chemistry with Ashley new Brown. However, Andrew's character is whiny.
- 15:44Speaker 3: He's quick to jump to conclusions.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Yes, he's reluctant to have an actual conversation with her.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Literally turns around and walks away when he thinks the.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Other guy is showing up.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Yeah, he walks away, which to me is a gigantic red.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Flag, super flawed.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Yeah, are an adult man. His walking away as a
- 16:03Speaker 1: teenager is forgivable his quote unquote ghosting her. This goes
- 16:06Speaker 1: back to we were just talking about Chesapeake Shore.
- 16:08Speaker 3: The same thing. They were just out of high school. Right,
- 16:11Speaker 3: these kids are not making lifelong decisions.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I agree, but it's less forgivable now when he doesn't
- 16:17Speaker 1: have the skills with which to.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Just speak to her.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Yes, and So while I knew, you know, the Jenna's
- 16:25Speaker 1: first love of it all, I knew that we were
- 16:27Speaker 1: headed down that Andrew route. I was really rooting for
- 16:30Speaker 1: Tom Redlands because even though he's a billionaire, even though
- 16:33Speaker 1: he's like, hop on the PJ and let's go wine tasting,
- 16:37Speaker 1: he didn't give me smarmy vibes, Oh not at all.
- 16:41Speaker 2: So I thought, maybe don't your guy. Yeah, it could
- 16:46Speaker 2: have gone either way from me. I thought Andrew had
- 16:48Speaker 2: a lot of flaws, but I also thought he was
- 16:50Speaker 2: a nice guy with a lot of history with his family,
- 16:53Speaker 2: so I could see, like, I could see it working out.
- 16:56Speaker 2: But you're right though, like the red flags of like
- 16:59Speaker 2: not being able to have a conversation or like and
- 17:02Speaker 2: then turning her around and like not talking to her
- 17:05Speaker 2: for you know, just straight out like ignoring her.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Yeah, and they're cool, they do address it, but I
- 17:12Speaker 1: was just thought, well, I need to see you.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Behave a little bit differently.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Yeah, and even like his mom was like, what do
- 17:19Speaker 1: you mean, Jenna doesn't know how you feel? Like you
- 17:21Speaker 1: haven't told her a dummy? Like was the mom's situation
- 17:24Speaker 1: so weird? She's like, I don't remember you? And I thought, really,
- 17:29Speaker 1: you think you're gonna forget your kid's high school romance
- 17:32Speaker 1: that was guiding his post high school choices.
- 17:37Speaker 2: If in fact, like well, I don't know, could you
- 17:41Speaker 2: imagine pretend you're the mom in this situation and your
- 17:45Speaker 2: child who is a senior in high school has a
- 17:49Speaker 2: girlfriend or boyfriend right that comes from a foster family.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Would that one bug you?
- 17:55Speaker 1: No? Okay two? If they're all I mean, I wouldn't
- 17:58Speaker 1: bug me either a message it would but maybe to
- 18:01Speaker 1: this character like she was like, oh they're less than
- 18:06Speaker 1: us or she's less than you.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Right.
- 18:08Speaker 3: I just think she had big dreams for him.
- 18:10Speaker 1: I just don't want my kid making their post high
- 18:12Speaker 1: school decisions based on their high school release totally like, no,
- 18:15Speaker 1: you're not going to go to college where your girlfriend goes.
- 18:18Speaker 1: But you know, I can't remember why I walk into
- 18:20Speaker 1: a room sometime, so baby I wouldn't remember, sure, And
- 18:23Speaker 1: then she was nice to her, and then she was like, oh,
- 18:25Speaker 1: you did a great job. I should hire you for
- 18:27Speaker 1: my She she didn't continue to be no, she unlikable.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Right right, right right. Here's my biggest wish. I think
- 18:36Speaker 2: Hallmark missed the mark when they promoted this movie. M
- 18:39Speaker 2: I feel like the Foster storyline is the real emotional
- 18:43Speaker 2: core here. Yeah, and they should have leaned way harder
- 18:47Speaker 2: into that marketing, because I don't know what the hell
- 18:50Speaker 2: hurts around.
- 18:51Speaker 3: The table means, honestly.
- 18:55Speaker 1: When I saw the movie poster for Josh's Third Serving
- 18:58Speaker 1: or for I don't know if he's the third movie
- 19:00Speaker 1: or the fourth movie, I can't remember, but I thought
- 19:02Speaker 1: that was the same dude who was playing Andrew they
- 19:06Speaker 1: kind of have that beard they got like the Hallmark
- 19:08Speaker 1: look right. They both look identical to me, so.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Like I didn't know I thought. Honestly, I was like,
- 19:16Speaker 2: is there like a love connection between these like foster kids?
- 19:19Speaker 2: At first, that's what I was thinking, because thought was
- 19:22Speaker 2: the same dude. I thought it was the same dude.
- 19:24Speaker 2: I just think they missed the mark. They should have
- 19:26Speaker 2: marketed this as this wonderful foster family. I think they
- 19:33Speaker 2: would have got more eyeballs on it.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think you're wrong. I don't think you're wrong.
- 19:38Speaker 1: My final wish is explained to me. Why the billionaire
- 19:40Speaker 1: himself isn't funding all of these nonprofit adventures. I don't
- 19:45Speaker 1: know how that was. Billionaire. He's not just wealthy, he's
- 19:48Speaker 1: a billionaire. He doesn't need to host a fundraiser asking
- 19:52Speaker 1: all of his less wealthy friends to give money to
- 19:55Speaker 1: the project. I mean, yes, that seems easy. But billionaires,
- 19:58Speaker 1: apparently like this hang on to their money. So okay,
- 20:03Speaker 1: there's no such thing as an ethical billionaire, is all
- 20:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna say. There is no person on the planet
- 20:09Speaker 1: who needs a billion dollars. No, can you give like
- 20:14Speaker 1: a million away and you wouldn't even notice it.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Could you get a hundred.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Million away, nine hundred million away and not notice it?
- 20:23Speaker 1: If you have one hundred million dollars and you invested
- 20:27Speaker 1: at five percent, which is not hard to do, that's
- 20:32Speaker 1: five million dollars in interest. You're telling me you can't
- 20:35Speaker 1: live on five million dollars a year, and now when
- 20:38Speaker 1: you're flying in on a helicopter for five million dollars
- 20:42Speaker 1: a year, ID, come on, I know, I know it's dumb.
- 20:46Speaker 1: They should have not made him a billionaire.
- 20:48Speaker 2: They should have made him like a wealthy businessman, because
- 20:52Speaker 2: there are wealthy business people who do fundraisers, right, They're
- 20:56Speaker 2: not just going to fund these things all themselves. Yes,
- 20:58Speaker 2: I hear you, I hear you.
- 21:00Speaker 1: All right? Are you ready to move on? Did you
- 21:01Speaker 1: see that?
- 21:02Speaker 3: I got just one?
- 21:03Speaker 1: Oh? Go ahead?
- 21:04Speaker 3: This is a helicopter.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Got that green screen so bad? It was so bad.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I was like wolf, heyt front of the choppers, like
- 21:14Speaker 1: spinning behind him. You would duck, you would so far
- 21:18Speaker 1: away though I'm on a platform, He's like, come down.
- 21:21Speaker 3: They tried to like.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Put it kind of behind of a gate, behind a gate,
- 21:24Speaker 1: so that you don't notice it as much. Yeah, it
- 21:27Speaker 1: was funny. I agree. It appears in my did you
- 21:31Speaker 1: see that? Notes as well. I have two other two.
- 21:35Speaker 4: Andrew brings like a coffee to Jenna at one point,
- 21:39Speaker 4: and clearly they're empty their paper coffee cups with lids,
- 21:43Speaker 4: but you can all the telltale is always the sip, right, Yeah,
- 21:47Speaker 4: there was nothing in them.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Why this was.
- 21:51Speaker 3: The water in these cups?
- 21:53Speaker 1: Weight? Totally? Totally.
- 21:55Speaker 2: The other thing is I thought there was a lot
- 21:57Speaker 2: of unscripted humor in this. Oh not like joking.
- 22:02Speaker 1: But it really it was.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Two scenes with Mindy Cohen and they both I both
- 22:07Speaker 2: think they had Jenna in them too, Like early on,
- 22:09Speaker 2: when Jenna comes to the house, she's stinky, she was farted.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Gross.
- 22:16Speaker 1: I'm sorry, she's gross.
- 22:19Speaker 2: They did like they exchanged like air kisses early on,
- 22:22Speaker 2: like I love him anyway, and then they also did
- 22:25Speaker 2: cheers with like forks.
- 22:26Speaker 3: Look they were eating dessert and they did like.
- 22:28Speaker 1: It just was cute. And I was like, I bet
- 22:30Speaker 1: that wasn't scripted. I bet, oh yeah, And to me,
- 22:33Speaker 1: I was like, I think Mindy led that a little bit.
- 22:36Speaker 1: So anyway, that's all I got. What did you rate?
- 22:41Speaker 1: Hearts around the Table, Jenna's first love I gave it
- 22:43Speaker 1: three and a half stars. You know, I edited my
- 22:45Speaker 1: rating as we were as we were recording this episode,
- 22:49Speaker 1: and I also gave it three and a half stars.
- 22:51Speaker 3: What did you have before three? What it needed to be?
- 22:55Speaker 2: Ele?
- 22:55Speaker 1: Did can convince you that it was better? No? I
- 22:57Speaker 1: just in talking through my own things that I liked
- 22:59Speaker 1: about it. You know, I wrote notes for five episodes. Yes,
- 23:02Speaker 1: so I you're on secreator at the end, I think so.
