Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: Hello, friends from across the nation and around the world.
- 0:08Speaker 1: I'm Martin, and you are listening to Dad's Bedtime Stories.
- 0:14Speaker 1: And tonight, we're jumping back into the spaceship universe, my
- 0:18Speaker 1: longest standing universe, series, whatever you want to call it,
- 0:24Speaker 1: for an episode on, well, this idea.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Hello, this is me, Jacob. I live in Um, California.
- 0:34Speaker 2: This is my friend Zoe. She lives in California. We
- 0:37Speaker 2: want to create a story where we go and like
- 0:42Speaker 2: a gummy... No, not a gummy bear. Ooh, and a
- 0:46Speaker 2: cat planet. And there's flying cats. Bye, we love your stories. Yeah,
- 0:53Speaker 2: they're so amazing. Yeah, they are. Five star review. Ten star.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Infinite stars.
- 0:58Speaker 1: And I love your suggestion. I think partially because you
- 1:02Speaker 1: said I should do a story on either a gummy
- 1:06Speaker 1: bear planet, which I've sort of done. I think I've
- 1:10Speaker 1: absolutely done, actually. Or, you know, a planet of cats
- 1:14Speaker 1: that fly. I took those two things and I put
- 1:18Speaker 1: them in the story maker, which is my brain, by
- 1:20Speaker 1: the way. And what came out was the somewhat obvious
- 1:27Speaker 1: gummy cat planet. And I hope you enjoy it. It
- 1:31Speaker 1: is once again inspired by one of my favorite childhood cartoons.
- 1:36Speaker 1: The Gummy Bears. Bouncing here and there and everywhere. High
- 1:43Speaker 1: adventure far beyond compare because they, they were the Gummy Bears.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Some of your parents will understand this reference. Most of
- 1:55Speaker 1: you will not. Anyways, I don't feel like telling you
- 2:00Speaker 1: how you can support the podcast today, so, you know,
- 2:03Speaker 1: do whatever feels right, and we'll get on with the story.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Right after a possible word from a possible sponsor, because
- 2:12Speaker 1: we still need them to, you know, pay for things
- 2:16Speaker 1: at the dad's bedtime studio. Time to close your eyes,
- 2:21Speaker 1: get as comfy as you can in that bed, and
- 2:24Speaker 1: imagine yourself doing what the kid... or the Gummy Cat,
- 2:31Speaker 1: and the story does. The Gummy Cat Planet You find
- 2:39Speaker 1: yourself sitting in the control center of Spaceship, looking through
- 2:45Speaker 1: the enormous front window as thousands and thousands of stars
- 2:51Speaker 1: trickle by in the darkness. Spaceship I think it's time
- 2:56Speaker 1: we explored somewhere new, you say. That is an excellent idea,
- 3:03Speaker 1: replies Spaceship. In fact, I have recently discovered a rather
- 3:09Speaker 1: unusual planet that you might find interesting. What kind of planet,
- 3:16Speaker 1: you ask? It is a planet inhabited entirely by cats.
- 3:24Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure we've been to a planet inhabited entirely
- 3:27Speaker 1: by cats. I think one of them might have actually
- 3:31Speaker 1: been supercats, too? Indeed. And, like that, these are no
- 3:39Speaker 1: ordinary cats. A holographic image appears in front of you.
- 3:45Speaker 1: It shows a beautiful blue-green planet covered in enormous forests,
- 3:51Speaker 1: sparkling lakes, and Colorful patches of red, blue, yellow, and purple.
- 3:59Speaker 1: These cats possess a unique genetic trait. Their bodies react
- 4:04Speaker 1: to a special fruit that grows naturally on their planet.
- 4:09Speaker 1: What kind of fruit, you ask? Gummy berries. You lean forward.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Gummy berries? Like gummy candy? Candy? Quite similar, actually, except
- 4:26Speaker 1: these gummy berries contain unusual compounds that temporarily transform the
- 4:31Speaker 1: cat's body into a flexible, gummy-like substance. The hologram changes.
- 4:39Speaker 1: You see a little blue cat bouncing off the ground,
- 4:43Speaker 1: ricocheting between two trees, and shooting high into the air. Whoa.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Whoa.
- 4:50Speaker 1: The transformation allows them to absorb enormous impacts and bounce
- 4:55Speaker 1: with incredible force. Different varieties of berries also grant additional abilities.
- 5:04Speaker 1: That sounds pretty awesome, you say? Shall I set a course?
- 5:12Speaker 1: Absolutely you should set a course. Spaceships' engines roar to
- 5:16Speaker 1: life again and The stars stretch into long streaks of
- 5:21Speaker 1: light as you blast at super hyperdrive through the galaxy.
- 5:27Speaker 1: A few moments later, they come to a halt, and
- 5:32Speaker 1: you find yourself in front of a very colorful planet.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Welcome to what I have decided to call the Gummy
- 5:42Speaker 1: Cat Planet. Spaceship descends through the atmosphere. Below you, enormous
- 5:50Speaker 1: forests stretch across the landscape. Their trees are covered in strange,
- 5:57Speaker 1: colorful fruit that glistens in the sunlight. You spot rivers
- 6:03Speaker 1: and mountains and little clusters of buildings hidden among the treetops.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Let's land over there, you say. Spaceship lowers himself into
- 6:15Speaker 1: a grassy clearing surrounded by enormous berry bushes. His landing
- 6:21Speaker 1: legs extend, and you hear the usual thump. The back
- 6:27Speaker 1: hatch opens, and the air suddenly smells incredibly sweet, like
- 6:34Speaker 1: you're standing in a candy store. This place smells delicious,
- 6:40Speaker 1: you say. as you walk towards one of the gummy
- 6:45Speaker 1: berry bushes. Hanging from its branches are dozens of enormous,
- 6:50Speaker 1: shiny berries. Some are red, others blue, green, yellow, and
- 6:57Speaker 1: even purple. You reach towards a bright red one, when
- 7:04Speaker 1: suddenly you hear a You jump backward as a fluffy
- 7:10Speaker 1: orange cat emerges from behind the bush. His fur stands
- 7:15Speaker 1: on end, his back arches, and his tail puffs up
- 7:20Speaker 1: like one of those brushes that you wash bottles with. Whoa,
- 7:26Speaker 1: easy there, little guy, you say. But the cat just
- 7:30Speaker 1: narrows its eyes. Then he leaps into the air. grabs
- 7:35Speaker 1: a red gummy berry in his mouth, and swallows it whole.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Almost immediately, his entire body begins to glow. His orange
- 7:47Speaker 1: fur disappears beneath a shiny, translucent red surface. His legs stretch,
- 7:55Speaker 1: his tail becomes flexible and sort of rubbery, and within seconds,
- 8:02Speaker 1: he looks like an enormous red bear Gummy candy shaped
- 8:06Speaker 1: like a cat? Uh, spaceship? That would be the gummy
- 8:12Speaker 1: transformation I was telling you about. The cat crouches, and then, boing,
- 8:21Speaker 1: he launches himself toward you. You dive sideways as he
- 8:25Speaker 1: bounces off the ground, strikes a tree, and ricochets back
- 8:29Speaker 1: in your direction. Hey, stop that, you ask. Or demand?
- 8:36Speaker 1: The cat opens his mouth, and a jet of fire
- 8:40Speaker 1: erupts towards you. Whoa! You quickly slam your finger against
- 8:45Speaker 1: your watch. With a click, your space armor unfolds around
- 8:50Speaker 1: your body. Metallic plates slide over your arms, legs, and chest.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Your helmet seals around your head. Armor activated, spaceship announces.
- 9:03Speaker 1: You raise your arm. Ice blaster! Immediately, an ice blaster
- 9:09Speaker 1: pops up out of your armor. You squeeze your fist
- 9:14Speaker 1: and blast. A stream of freezing energy shoots from your wrist.
- 9:20Speaker 1: The red gummy cat twists in midair, just narrowly avoiding
- 9:25Speaker 1: the blast. He lands on the ground and then he
- 9:30Speaker 1: bounces straight towards you. You blast the freeze ray one
- 9:36Speaker 1: more time and the cat dodges. You stop moving. You
- 9:42Speaker 1: yell as the cat continues to bounce from tree to tree.
- 9:46Speaker 1: He responds by breathing another enormous stream of fire. You
- 9:53Speaker 1: activate your flight system and rocket upward. The flames pass
- 9:57Speaker 1: harmlessly beneath your boots. uh spaceship any suggestions his gummy
- 10:04Speaker 1: body absorbs most physical impacts however like most creatures i
- 10:11Speaker 1: believe he would still be susceptible to a complete lack
- 10:15Speaker 1: of friction Are you suggesting I blast the entire area
- 10:20Speaker 1: with ice? You ask. Precisely, spaceship answers. Man, so? You
- 10:28Speaker 1: aim your blaster down, straight at the ground, and you
- 10:33Speaker 1: begin blasting ice everywhere, through the forest floor, up the trees,
- 10:39Speaker 1: covering everything in a thick layer of ice. The next
- 10:44Speaker 1: time the cat lands... His paws slip, and he starts
- 10:50Speaker 1: sliding through the clearing instead of bouncing back at you.
- 10:54Speaker 1: He slows down, bumps into a tree, bounces off a little,
- 11:00Speaker 1: and spins around. In that minute, you point your blaster
- 11:05Speaker 1: at him and let go another blast of ice. The
- 11:10Speaker 1: cat attempts to get out of the way, but he
- 11:13Speaker 1: just slips. since there's nothing for his claws to grab into.
- 11:19Speaker 1: The blast of energy hits him and freezes the bottom
- 11:24Speaker 1: half of his body in, well, a little ice cube.
- 11:29Speaker 1: The cat shakes his head. Then, to your surprise, he speaks.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Let me go, you scoundrel! You freeze. Wait, you can talk?
- 11:45Speaker 1: The cat glares at you. Of course I can talk.
- 11:50Speaker 1: What sort of ridiculous question is that? He has a
- 11:54Speaker 1: sort of accent that you can't quite place. Now, release
- 12:01Speaker 1: me immediately, you great metal-covered hooligan. You lower your ace blaster.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Hang on, you're the one who attacked me. Because you
- 12:12Speaker 1: were stealing our gummy berries. wasn't stealing anything. The cat
- 12:19Speaker 1: looks suspicious. You weren't? No, I just arrived. I'm exploring and... Okay, well,
- 12:30Speaker 1: maybe I was gonna try one of the gummy berries,
- 12:32Speaker 1: but I wasn't here to steal them or anything. The
- 12:36Speaker 1: cat studies you, then looks at the spaceship. Hmm, well,
- 12:43Speaker 1: You certainly don't look like the usual berry thieves. Berry thieves?
- 12:50Speaker 1: You have berry thieves? Oh, yes. We've had all sorts
- 12:56Speaker 1: of trouble with outsiders trying to steal our gummy berries.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Very valuable, you know. You deactivate your helmet. Well, I'm
- 13:09Speaker 1: not here to steal them. I just wanted to see
- 13:12Speaker 1: your planet and Well, maybe try one of the gummy berries.
- 13:16Speaker 1: The cat's expression softens. I see. I can't blame you
- 13:23Speaker 1: since they are very tasty. He looks down at the
- 13:28Speaker 1: ice surrounding his legs. Would you mind terribly letting me
- 13:33Speaker 1: out of this frozen prison? You grin. Well, sure, as
- 13:39Speaker 1: long as you promise not to breathe fire at me again. Yes, yes,
- 13:44Speaker 1: you have my word. You activate your armor's heating system
- 13:49Speaker 1: and carefully use the heat ray to melt the ice.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Not too quickly, of course. The cat stretches his legs.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Much better. He shakes himself, sending little droplets of water
- 14:05Speaker 1: flying everywhere. Then he sits down and begins licking one
- 14:10Speaker 1: of his paws. Terribly sorry about that misunderstanding. No problem.
- 14:17Speaker 1: My name is Miggy, by the way. Nice to meet you, Miggy.
- 14:23Speaker 1: He looks up at you. Well, if you're truly here
- 14:28Speaker 1: to explore, perhaps you'd like to visit our village. There's
- 14:34Speaker 1: a village? Of course! Not far from here, actually. Just
- 14:40Speaker 1: beyond the gummy berry forest. He glances at your enormous
- 14:45Speaker 1: human body. Although, you'll have a rather difficult time keeping
- 14:51Speaker 1: up with me, unless you eat a berry as well.
- 14:57Speaker 1: You look at the colorful bushes. Can I? Spaceship immediately interrupts.
- 15:05Speaker 1: One moment.
- 15:05Speaker 3: What?
- 15:06Speaker 1: Scanning compatibility. A blue beam sweeps across the nearest berry. Interesting.
- 15:14Speaker 1: It seems the active compounds are specifically designed to interact
- 15:19Speaker 1: with feline DNA. They are not compatible with human physiology.
- 15:27Speaker 1: So what happens if I eat one? You ask. Absolutely nothing.
- 15:34Speaker 1: other than experiencing a rather pleasant fruit flavor followed by
- 15:39Speaker 1: uncontrollable gas. You mean they'll make me fart a lot?
- 15:48Speaker 1: You ask. That is precisely the case. You scratch your head.
- 15:56Speaker 1: But that doesn't happen with the cats. That is correct. Correct.
- 16:02Speaker 1: An idea pops into your mind. You look down at
- 16:06Speaker 1: your watch. Spaceship, what if I use my transmorphophizer? There's
- 16:15Speaker 1: a brief pause. That is an excellent idea. Mickey tilts
- 16:21Speaker 1: his head. You know what? My watch can transform me
- 16:27Speaker 1: into other creatures. Are you serious? Yes. Spaceship, scan Miggy
- 16:34Speaker 1: and load his biological profile into my watch. Understood. Scanning now.
- 16:42Speaker 1: A beam of light sweeps over Miggy. Scan complete. Feline
- 16:48Speaker 1: transformation profile successfully uploaded. You look at your watch and
- 16:54Speaker 1: a little picture of a cat appears on the screen.
- 16:58Speaker 1: You tap it. Here goes nothing. Your armor folds away,
- 17:04Speaker 1: and then a strange tingling sensation spreads through your body.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Your fingers begin to shrink, your arms become shorter, your
- 17:15Speaker 1: back curves, and a long tail extends behind you. Your
- 17:21Speaker 1: body feels strangely light, almost as though you're becoming less, well, solid.
- 17:30Speaker 1: The world around you seems to grow larger and larger,
- 17:34Speaker 1: while you get smaller and smaller. A moment later, you
- 17:41Speaker 1: find yourself standing on four little paws. You look down.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Wow.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Except it comes out as a rather surprised, Wow. Miggy stares. Well,
- 17:58Speaker 1: I'll be... You look at your reflection in Spaceship's shiny hull.
- 18:05Speaker 1: You've become a cat. Miggy circles around you. Not bad,
- 18:14Speaker 1: not bad at all. He reaches toward the berry bush
- 18:19Speaker 1: and plucks a beautiful golden yellow berry. This is my favorite,
- 18:26Speaker 1: he says, the flight berry. He carefully splits it in half. Here,
- 18:33Speaker 1: try some. You sniff the berry. It smells like pineapple
- 18:39Speaker 1: and lemonade put together. Then you take a bite. A warm,
- 18:46Speaker 1: tingling sensation spreads through your whiskers to the very tip
- 18:52Speaker 1: of your tail. Your fur begins to shimmer. Your body
- 18:57Speaker 1: becomes golden and translucent. You look down at your paws.
- 19:03Speaker 1: They're made of... gummy. It worked! Splendid! exclaims Miggy. Then
- 19:13Speaker 1: he crouches. Now, watch carefully. With a little boing, Miggy
- 19:21Speaker 1: launches himself into the air. He lands on a nearby
- 19:25Speaker 1: rock and immediately bounces toward a tree. You turn, you crouch,
- 19:33Speaker 1: and you jump. You shoot straight upward. Whoa! You land
- 19:40Speaker 1: on the ground, but instead of stopping, you bounce again,
- 19:44Speaker 1: as if your body is just simply made to bounce,
- 19:49Speaker 1: which is... basically is at this point. You bounce and
- 19:54Speaker 1: you bounce and you bounce. You ricochet between two trees,
- 19:58Speaker 1: bounce off a rock, and launch yourself high above the clearing.
- 20:04Speaker 1: This is amazing. Mickey just laughs. Now just try thinking
- 20:11Speaker 1: about flying, staying up in the air. You concentrate and
- 20:18Speaker 1: pretty soon you feel a new sensation. Your body becomes
- 20:23Speaker 1: almost weightless. Your paws lift away from the air beneath them.
- 20:32Speaker 1: You're flying. You twist your body and soar over the treetops.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Miggy flies beside you. Come along then, I'll show you
- 20:44Speaker 1: the village. You grin, your enormous cat grin, and together
- 20:52Speaker 1: you fly towards the forest. You soar through the forest
- 20:59Speaker 1: beside Miggy, your golden gummy body glistening in the sunlight.
- 21:05Speaker 1: This is incredible, you shout. You've flown before in all
- 21:11Speaker 1: sorts of situations, but something's different about this. Flying just
- 21:16Speaker 1: feels rather incredible when you're doing it as a gummy
- 21:22Speaker 1: berry cat or whatever you are. Rather enjoyable, isn't it?
- 21:28Speaker 1: Miggy replies. He tucks his paws beneath his body and
- 21:33Speaker 1: accelerates forward. You follow him. weaving between enormous trees covered
- 21:40Speaker 1: in colorful gummy berries, until eventually the forest opens into
- 21:46Speaker 1: a beautiful village. Little wooden houses are built into enormous trees.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Rope bridges connect their branches while carved ramps spiral around
- 21:57Speaker 1: the trunks. Cats are everywhere. Some are sleeping in hammocks.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Others are stretched out on branches enjoying the sunshine. A
- 22:09Speaker 1: blue gummy cat bounces from one rooftop to another. A
- 22:15Speaker 1: green cat slides down a twisting ramp, leaving a trail
- 22:20Speaker 1: of slippery slime behind him. And a tiny purple kitten
- 22:25Speaker 1: is floating upside down above a treehouse. Welcome to the
- 22:30Speaker 1: gummy cat village, announces Miggy. You land beside him on
- 22:36Speaker 1: a wooden platform. This place is awesome. Why, thank you.
- 22:42Speaker 1: We've spent generations perfecting it. Using our various gummy berry powers,
- 22:48Speaker 1: of course. A little gray cat approaches. Hey, Maggie. Who's
- 22:54Speaker 1: your friend? He's a visitor from another planet. Rather clever fellow, actually.
- 23:01Speaker 1: He's transformed himself into one of us, into a cat.
- 23:06Speaker 1: The gray cat stares at you. Really? You wave your
- 23:11Speaker 1: little gummy paw. Hello. The cat blinks. Well, that's pretty unusual.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Miggy leads you through the village. Every berry has a
- 23:23Speaker 1: different ability, he explains. Red gives you fire, as you've seen.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Blue gives you ice, a power you seem familiar with.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Yellow gives you flight, and green gives you a sort
- 23:40Speaker 1: of slime power. What about all the others? Well, brown
- 23:46Speaker 1: grants you control over Earth. Light blue gives you water powers.
- 23:52Speaker 1: White creates powerful winds. Purple produces clouds of gas. He
- 23:59Speaker 1: points towards a bush covered in glowing silver berries, and
- 24:04Speaker 1: those grant laser eyes. Laser eyes? Yes, quite useful for
- 24:13Speaker 1: trimming branches, actually. We use them quite often when we're
- 24:18Speaker 1: constructing things. You watch a silver gummy cat carefully slice
- 24:24Speaker 1: a fallen branch into smaller pieces. using two thin beams of, well,
- 24:30Speaker 1: laser from his eyes. That's amazing. Indeed, although we mostly
- 24:38Speaker 1: use our powers for gardening, traveling, and the occasional game
- 24:43Speaker 1: of bounce ball, suddenly you hear a very loud sound
- 24:54Speaker 1: from above the village, a noise that shakes the village
- 24:59Speaker 1: itself and has every cat looking upward. A gigantic shadow
- 25:06Speaker 1: passes over the treetops, and you recognize the shape immediately.
- 25:13Speaker 1: An enormous spaceship shaped like a Tyrannosaurus Rex head descends
- 25:19Speaker 1: through the clouds. Oh, you've got to be kidding me.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Spaceship's voice comes through your watch. Incoming vessel identified as
- 25:32Speaker 1: Rex clone. The enormous metal jaws open and a loud
- 25:38Speaker 1: speaker crackles. Hello, little kitties. Rex's voice booms across the forest.
- 25:47Speaker 1: I couldn't help but notice all of these delicious gummy berries.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Your eyes narrow. Rex, why, I also believe my favorite
- 26:01Speaker 1: little space explorers here. At least that's what my scans indicate.
- 26:09Speaker 1: The giant mechanical head turns toward you. So, you're a cat.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Never mind that, what are you doing here? You shout
- 26:22Speaker 1: at the spaceship. Isn't it obvious? I'm here to collect
- 26:28Speaker 1: berries and to make sure your life is, well, always interesting.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Meggy steps forward. Those berries belong to our village, you
- 26:43Speaker 1: enormous metal-headed scoundrel. Rex laughs. Not for too long. My
- 26:51Speaker 1: robots are going to collect every last one of them.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Compartments open beneath his spaceship, and dozens of metal objects
- 27:03Speaker 1: tumble out. Tiny parachutes unfold, and you look up to see...
- 27:11Speaker 1: Robot dogs? Yes, robot dogs, confirms Spaceship. The machines descend
- 27:20Speaker 1: into the forest, landing between the berry bushes. Their parachutes detach,
- 27:27Speaker 1: their mechanical jaws open, and they begin gobbling up all
- 27:33Speaker 1: of the berries. Hey, stop that, Miggy shouts. One robot
- 27:40Speaker 1: dog turns toward him. His eyes flash red, and he
- 27:45Speaker 1: begins to bark before charging. Miggy quickly leaps away, and
- 27:52Speaker 1: the dog crashes into a tree. Another robot races toward
- 27:57Speaker 1: a group of frightened little kittens. The kittens scatter. Everyone,
- 28:03Speaker 1: get back, you shout. You launch yourself into the air.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Your golden gummy body shoots across the village. You bounce
- 28:13Speaker 1: off a tree trunk. and slam directly into the robot
- 28:18Speaker 1: dog with a clang. The machine tumbles backward, and you
- 28:24Speaker 1: rebound harmlessly into the air. Whoa, that actually worked. Excellent
- 28:31Speaker 1: use of your newfound elastic properties, spaceship announces. But more
- 28:38Speaker 1: dogs continue to land. Ten, twenty, thirty... Their metal jaws
- 28:45Speaker 1: snap as they chase the cats through the village. Rex
- 28:49Speaker 1: laughs through the loudspeaker. Look at them go. Wonderful little machines,
- 28:56Speaker 1: aren't they? Very efficient. You land beside Miggy. We have
- 29:03Speaker 1: to stop them. But there are so many. And they're scary.
- 29:10Speaker 1: You look around at the berry bushes. then at the
- 29:14Speaker 1: frightened cats. Wait a minute. You have all these amazing powers.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Why aren't you using them? Miggy blinks. Well, I suppose
- 29:27Speaker 1: we could. Then let's do it. You leap into a
- 29:33Speaker 1: wooden platform. Everybody, grab a gummy berry. The cats look
- 29:39Speaker 1: towards you. You have the powers, now use them. A
- 29:45Speaker 1: large brown cat grabs an earth berry with a glop.
- 29:50Speaker 1: His body transforms into a shiny brown gummy. He slams
- 29:55Speaker 1: his paws against the ground. It rumbles. and an enormous
- 30:01Speaker 1: wall of stone rises directly in front of five charging
- 30:05Speaker 1: robot dogs, who all clang into it with a sort
- 30:11Speaker 1: of crashing sound. A blue cat swallows an ice berry,
- 30:16Speaker 1: and with a whoosh, a wave of freezing energy spreads
- 30:21Speaker 1: across the ground. Three robot dogs slide helplessly into one another.
- 30:27Speaker 1: A red gummy cat leaps onto a rooftop. My turn,
- 30:33Speaker 1: he says, and he breathes an enormous stream of fire.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Two robots begin glowing red hot. Their circuits spark, and
- 30:44Speaker 1: they collapse into smoking heaps of melted metal. Yes, you
- 30:51Speaker 1: shout as the village erupts into action. A green cat
- 30:57Speaker 1: spits a gigantic glob of slime across a bridge, trapping
- 31:01Speaker 1: four robots in sticky goo. A white cat summons a
- 31:06Speaker 1: powerful tornado, lifting several dogs into the air and depositing
- 31:11Speaker 1: them upside down in a muddy pond. A silver cat
- 31:16Speaker 1: fires beams from its eyes. Two robots lose their legs
- 31:20Speaker 1: immediately and collapse, you know, from the lasers. Meanwhile, a
- 31:27Speaker 1: light blue cat raises an enormous wave from the nearby
- 31:31Speaker 1: river and splashes a whole pack of robot dogs into
- 31:36Speaker 1: a pile. This is amazing, you shout. You launch yourself
- 31:42Speaker 1: through the air, bouncing between trees and slamming into robots.
- 31:49Speaker 1: One dog tries to bite your tail. Its metal jaws
- 31:52Speaker 1: close around the gummy material. but your tail simply stretches
- 31:58Speaker 1: like an elastic band. You pull backward, your tail stretches
- 32:04Speaker 1: further and further, and then the robot goes flying and
- 32:10Speaker 1: crashes into a bunch of other dogs. Take that, you say.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Mickey bounces beside you. Rather satisfying, isn't it? Well, I
- 32:22Speaker 1: have to say, Thank you for inspiring us to fight back.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Using our powers this way is, well, a jolly good time.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Within minutes, the forest is covered in broken robot dogs.
- 32:38Speaker 1: The last remaining machines attempt to escape. A purple cat
- 32:43Speaker 1: leaps onto a branch and releases a thick cloud of gas.
- 32:49Speaker 1: The robots disappear inside it. until another gigantic brown gummy
- 32:57Speaker 1: cat drops a boulder directly on the two of them.
- 33:02Speaker 1: With a crunch, the final robots collapse in a pile of, well,
- 33:07Speaker 1: scrap metal. The village falls silent, and then... We did it!
- 33:15Speaker 1: The cats erupt into cheers, but you aren't finished. You
- 33:20Speaker 1: look up at Rex's enormous spaceship... A rex. The giant
- 33:27Speaker 1: mechanical head turns toward you. What? You forgot something. You
- 33:34Speaker 1: point upward. Everybody, after him! Dozens of gummy cats launch
- 33:42Speaker 1: themselves into the sky. Red cats, blue cats, green cats,
- 33:47Speaker 1: silver cats. A whole rainbow of flying, bouncing gummy cats.
- 33:53Speaker 1: A gigantic wave of fire strikes his ship. Ice spreads
- 33:58Speaker 1: across its engines. A gust of wind sends the ship
- 34:02Speaker 1: spinning sideways, and laser beams flash across the sky. Alright, alright,
- 34:11Speaker 1: I'm leaving. His engines roar, and the giant T-Rex head
- 34:18Speaker 1: turns around and rockets straight towards space. But you haven't
- 34:24Speaker 1: seen the last of me. With Rex gone, you land
- 34:30Speaker 1: in the village square. Hundreds of cats gather around you
- 34:35Speaker 1: and Miggy steps forward. Well, my friend, I must say
- 34:42Speaker 1: that was a rather good time. Well, you guys did
- 34:47Speaker 1: all the hard work, you respond. Perhaps, but... Without your encouragement,
- 34:54Speaker 1: we may have stood paralyzed by those creepy-looking metal creatures. Dogs,
- 35:01Speaker 1: as you call them. Something about them just made us freeze.
- 35:08Speaker 1: An elderly white cat approaches, carrying a small wooden box.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Miggy's eyes widen. Oh, my... The elder places the box
- 35:22Speaker 1: in front of you. We would like you to have something.
- 35:29Speaker 1: She opens the lid. Inside is a single gummy berry.
- 35:36Speaker 1: But this berry is different. Its surface shimmers with every
- 35:42Speaker 1: color imaginable. Red, blue, green, gold, purple, silver. The colors
- 35:49Speaker 1: swirl together like a tiny rainbow trapped inside a piece
- 35:53Speaker 1: of candy. What is it? you ask. The legendary multiberry,
- 36:03Speaker 1: replies the elder, and Miggy gasps. Good heavens! the elder smiles.
- 36:12Speaker 1: According to legend, this berry, which is only found once
- 36:20Speaker 1: in a very long time, contains the power of every
- 36:26Speaker 1: gummy berry combined. You stare at it. Every power? Every
- 36:35Speaker 1: single one? Fire, ice, flight, earth, water, wind, slime, lasers,
- 36:44Speaker 1: that weird gas power, and perhaps even powers nobody has
- 36:50Speaker 1: discovered yet. We've protected this berry for generations. If Rex
- 36:59Speaker 1: had overwhelmed our village, we may have been forced to
- 37:04Speaker 1: use it. SHE GENTLY PUSHES THE BOX TOWARD YOU. BUT
- 37:10Speaker 1: THANKS TO YOU, WE DIDN'T NEED TO. WE'D LIKE YOU
- 37:15Speaker 1: TO KEEP IT. YOU CAREFULLY PICK UP THE BERRY. WOW, THANKS.
- 37:23Speaker 1: USE IT WISELY. I WILL. YOU PLACE THE BERRY INSIDE
- 37:30Speaker 1: A SECURE COMPARTMENT ON YOUR WATCH. Spaceship's voice crackles through
- 37:36Speaker 1: your communicator. Shall I come and collect you? Sure, you respond.
- 37:44Speaker 1: And a moment later, Spaceship descends into the clearing beside
- 37:49Speaker 1: the village. His entrance ramp extends. Miggy walks beside you. Well,
- 37:57Speaker 1: it's been a pleasure meeting you. You too, Miggy. DO
- 38:02Speaker 1: COME BACK SOMETIME, PREFERABLY WITHOUT BRINGING ANOTHER ENORMOUS ROBOTIC DINOSAUR.
- 38:10Speaker 1: YOU LAUGH. I'LL TRY, BUT HE FOLLOWS ME AROUND. YOU
- 38:15Speaker 1: CLIMB ABOARD SPACESHIP. YOU TURN AROUND AND WAVE GOODBYE WITH
- 38:21Speaker 1: YOUR TINY GOLDEN GUMMY PAW. THE CATS WAVE BACK AS
- 38:27Speaker 1: SPACESHIP'S ENGINES ACTIVATE AND YOU LIFT UP INTO THE SKY.
- 38:33Speaker 1: You walk over to the little trophy area carrying your
- 38:38Speaker 1: malty berry, and you place it in a little display
- 38:43Speaker 1: case on your trophy shelf, right beside the golden fishing
- 38:48Speaker 1: rod and the golden trident. You admire the shimmering berry,
- 38:56Speaker 1: wondering if one day you'll have to use it, though
- 39:01Speaker 1: you would have to turn into a cat first. Then
- 39:06Speaker 1: you yawn. It's been a long day. You wander into
- 39:11Speaker 1: Spaceship's living room and jump onto the couch. Your gummy
- 39:16Speaker 1: body bounces gently against the cushions. You curl yourself into
- 39:22Speaker 1: a little golden ball. Your paws tuck beneath your chest.
- 39:27Speaker 1: Your tail wraps around your body A strange, comforting rumble
- 39:33Speaker 1: begins inside you. A purr. Somehow you find it very relaxing.
- 39:44Speaker 1: And as you breathe in, and let out that strange
- 39:49Speaker 1: purr sound, your body becomes more and more relaxed. You
- 39:57Speaker 1: sink down into the couch, and soon your mind begins
- 40:03Speaker 1: to wander off to thoughts of new dreams and new
- 40:09Speaker 1: adventures to come. Good night, everyone.
- 40:44Speaker 3: Thank you. Thank you.
- 42:20Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 43:28Speaker 3: Thank you. Thank you.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Thank you. Thank you.
- 47:17Speaker 3: You Thank you. Thank you.
- 49:27Speaker 1: You Thank you.
- 51:26Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Thank you. Thank you.
- 54:59Speaker 3: Thank you. Thank you.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Thank you. Thank you.
- 59:13Speaker 3: You
