- 1:14Speaker 1: show special guests in here. My guy boss is here. Man,
- 1:18Speaker 1: what going on? Bro? Appreciate you? Yes, sir man, it's
- 1:20Speaker 1: been a You've had a hell of a year so far.
- 1:23Speaker 1: For real, we're kind of just getting this started. But
- 1:25Speaker 1: you know, like all years, there's a lot of plot
- 1:28Speaker 1: and involved beforehand, one hundred percent. Man, talk about like,
- 1:32Speaker 1: you know, first of all, Milky Way. It feels like
- 1:35Speaker 1: it's been a few years. When would Milkyway come out
- 1:37Speaker 1: twenty eighteen? Twenty eighteen? Yeah, so it's been like I mean,
- 1:40Speaker 1: obviously you've been active since then, you know, uh the
- 1:42Speaker 1: Dream album. Yeah, so it's not like you ain't been
- 1:46Speaker 1: you know, But but I'm sure this body of work
- 1:48Speaker 1: that you're cooking up has got to be worth the
- 1:51Speaker 1: way you know you're taking it's always trying to like
- 1:55Speaker 1: evolve and grow and bring something new with every project.
- 1:58Speaker 1: So I think, you know, obviously everyone had a year
- 2:02Speaker 1: where we had to take a step back. But I
- 2:04Speaker 1: kind of put that to Youston and just try to
- 2:07Speaker 1: keep reinvaying my style and keep adding, you know, keep
- 2:10Speaker 1: adding new levels to it. Yeah. It's crazy because on
- 2:14Speaker 1: Cole's album, like when I first press played, I don't
- 2:16Speaker 1: think you could see the features on there. When I
- 2:18Speaker 1: don't know, however, I was listening, I couldn't see any
- 2:19Speaker 1: of the features, right, So I was just pressing play,
- 2:22Speaker 1: And then I went on Twitter and I was like, Yo,
- 2:23Speaker 1: that was Boss on the like yeah, dipping into your
- 2:26Speaker 1: melody bag, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 2:29Speaker 1: you know, just trying to go out the comfort zone.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I was down there with Cole. That's one thing, you know,
- 2:34Speaker 1: we were kind of preaching, and throughout that whole process
- 2:37Speaker 1: we actually did the Jackie. Like those same like three
- 2:39Speaker 1: four days that I was down there working on on
- 2:42Speaker 1: that record happened during the off season sessions. Yeah. Yeah.
- 2:45Speaker 1: It was like Cole has like a very set time
- 2:48Speaker 1: he'd be in the studio, so he got a lot
- 2:50Speaker 1: of other things going on. So we had like thirty
- 2:53Speaker 1: minutes left. I think we had just finished doing like
- 2:55Speaker 1: some background vocals on one of the records. Might have
- 2:58Speaker 1: been like let go my hand, and he was like, yo,
- 3:01Speaker 1: let's pull up a beat and just like do something
- 3:03Speaker 1: in like thirty. So you pulled up a T minus folder.
- 3:06Speaker 1: First beat he played was the Jackie and we just
- 3:08Speaker 1: looked at each other like yeah, like say less like
- 3:11Speaker 1: pull that one up, got on the mic, and you know,
- 3:15Speaker 1: just challenging ourselves not to to feel some things, you
- 3:19Speaker 1: know what I mean, as opposed to like be so
- 3:21Speaker 1: clinical with the writing and just trying to push yourself
- 3:24Speaker 1: out of that comfort zone like I usually the type
- 3:26Speaker 1: of sit there and like get all my words right
- 3:29Speaker 1: and the be like all right, you know, I'm ready
- 3:30Speaker 1: to do my verse. And it was like, you know
- 3:31Speaker 1: whatnot just get on there and do what you feel,
- 3:35Speaker 1: you know what I mean, do like what comes to
- 3:36Speaker 1: you like naturally, and then you know, you can refine
- 3:39Speaker 1: it from there and go back and work on how
- 3:41Speaker 1: clever you want to make and whatnot. But there's certain
- 3:43Speaker 1: things you can't replace, you know. And that's something like
- 3:46Speaker 1: I'll even watch like some of the some of the
- 3:48Speaker 1: younger kids, Now that's all they do, you know, that's
- 3:51Speaker 1: all they do. They'll just go fill out the beat
- 3:53Speaker 1: and the booth, yeah, and worry about feeling in the
- 3:55Speaker 1: lyrics and later yeah, right right right, and there's there's
- 3:58Speaker 1: you know, I feel like there's something learn from everyone's
- 4:00Speaker 1: process for sure, and now something I was able to
- 4:03Speaker 1: kind of apply to myself, like, you know, just just
- 4:06Speaker 1: let loose a little bit, like don't even think about it, like,
- 4:08Speaker 1: what's the melody that comes to you? What? You know
- 4:10Speaker 1: what I mean, what's the feeling that comes to you?
- 4:12Speaker 1: And you know, we did the Jackie in like thirty minutes,
- 4:15Speaker 1: so that's kind of new for your process. Usually you
- 4:17Speaker 1: would just like, yeah, I'm gonna write some ill shit, right,
- 4:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna go as hard as I can, right, even
- 4:22Speaker 1: if I have the melody, Like I'll sit there and
- 4:24Speaker 1: I'll write the song out, you know, and then I'll
- 4:27Speaker 1: go like lay it down. And this was just more
- 4:29Speaker 1: like all right, what are these first four bars? Boom?
- 4:33Speaker 1: What are the next four bars? Okay? Now, how do
- 4:35Speaker 1: we you know, take it somewhere different, you know for
- 4:38Speaker 1: the listener? How do we keep it dynamic? Right? It
- 4:42Speaker 1: was a It was a fun process for sure, and
- 4:44Speaker 1: Cole was there the whole time, like just like you know,
- 4:46Speaker 1: trying to keep pushing me out my comfort zone. That's
- 4:48Speaker 1: how we did a lot of his records, and then
- 4:50Speaker 1: it just kind of spilled over into the yn't say
- 4:53Speaker 1: like like for his records, like was did he have
- 4:57Speaker 1: like a vision for where you were like fitting in
- 4:59Speaker 1: on the joint? Yeah. So I did this song called
- 5:03Speaker 1: Risk with FKJ french Q we juice shout out. My
- 5:06Speaker 1: guy did that like probably year and a half ago.
- 5:09Speaker 1: And on that I was doing a lot of those
- 5:13Speaker 1: melodies and stacking my vocals and you know, doing a
- 5:16Speaker 1: bunch of that stuff. And when we came in to
- 5:19Speaker 1: work on Col's album, he was like I want that
- 5:20Speaker 1: buyas you know, He's like I want to I want
- 5:23Speaker 1: you to work on that more and like bring that
- 5:25Speaker 1: energy to these songs. So me and me and k Quick,
- 5:29Speaker 1: who records me. He's a producer, engineer, all that, but
- 5:33Speaker 1: he's also like an incredible vocalist, you know, so he's
- 5:36Speaker 1: really good at kind of pointing out certain things or
- 5:40Speaker 1: you know, try it in this tone, try it in
- 5:41Speaker 1: that tone. We just sat there every night and we
- 5:43Speaker 1: figured it out. Like whatever song Cole gave us, we
- 5:46Speaker 1: would just sit in the room and be like, okay,
- 5:49Speaker 1: like let's bring the wave to it. Yeah, It's crazy
- 5:52Speaker 1: because the one thing that I took like from like
- 5:54Speaker 1: the process for off season that I really appreciated about
- 5:56Speaker 1: somebody who's as big as Cole is on the mount
- 6:00Speaker 1: right now, you know, like, was it seemed like he
- 6:03Speaker 1: really was extremely dedicated to making sure he was better
- 6:09Speaker 1: at wrapping this go round, like you know, Like I
- 6:12Speaker 1: watched the documentary, I was like, Yo, this fool was
- 6:14Speaker 1: like really like almost like in the gym, like in
- 6:17Speaker 1: both ways, because he was training in the gym as well,
- 6:20Speaker 1: but like on some bar shit as well. Like I
- 6:23Speaker 1: feel like this is the sharpest he's ever been on
- 6:27Speaker 1: like lyrically, and it's crazy to say that so so
- 6:30Speaker 1: so many years in. But did that inspire you and
- 6:32Speaker 1: like your album or like the way you're kind of
- 6:34Speaker 1: approaching I mean, yeah, it definitely, especially when I had
- 6:37Speaker 1: spent most of the year just working at the crib
- 6:40Speaker 1: by myself, and I'm a very collaborative artist, so it's
- 6:43Speaker 1: good to get in again with Bro. And then also
- 6:45Speaker 1: just to see like, you know, here's here's a dude
- 6:48Speaker 1: who has the world and he's like so focused every
- 6:52Speaker 1: day on getting better, you know what I mean, Like,
- 6:54Speaker 1: what's your excuse? Yeah, that'll definitely like just light a
- 6:58Speaker 1: fire under your or know, just make you feel like
- 7:01Speaker 1: I can and I should be doing more. One hundred man,
- 7:05Speaker 1: do we have there's the speculation that you're supposed to
- 7:08Speaker 1: announce your album with Elliott One. This is gonna come
- 7:10Speaker 1: out after that? Oh no, you are you announcing an
- 7:13Speaker 1: album or Okay, I'm saying we're talking with Yeah, I'm
- 7:17Speaker 1: not announcing, but we're getting any album before the end
- 7:20Speaker 1: of the year, of course. Yeah, before the end of
- 7:22Speaker 1: the year. Yeah, for sure. I've just been in the
- 7:23Speaker 1: zone though, honestly, where I try to be intentional with
- 7:26Speaker 1: everything I do, and when I look at it and
- 7:28Speaker 1: I'm like, you know, I'm very proud of the albums
- 7:31Speaker 1: I've made and and when I look at the challenges
- 7:34Speaker 1: that I've set for myself. It was a song like
- 7:37Speaker 1: the Jackie. You know, I got another single in the
- 7:41Speaker 1: works that I'm really excited about, and I'm just kind
- 7:44Speaker 1: of challenging myself to make bigger records. Even like what
- 7:48Speaker 1: we said earlier about the energy is different around this one.
- 7:51Speaker 1: You feel me it's like trying to challenge myself, like
- 7:55Speaker 1: what is the next frontier in my own career? What
- 7:58Speaker 1: is the next you know, what are the next levels?
- 8:00Speaker 1: I want to hear? What of the next thing is?
- 8:01Speaker 1: I want to challenge myself as an artist to create,
- 8:04Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So it's like I feel
- 8:06Speaker 1: like I'm always going to be in love with making
- 8:10Speaker 1: a cohesive body of work. You know, that's going to
- 8:13Speaker 1: give you like my mentality. But a lot of what
- 8:16Speaker 1: I've been challenging myself to do is like make make
- 8:20Speaker 1: these big records. How do you elevate exactly? So that's
- 8:24Speaker 1: that's been like a major focus on mine. I've tried
- 8:27Speaker 1: to really stay intentional with that. Yeah, No, I think
- 8:29Speaker 1: like I you know, I think you're you have an
- 8:33Speaker 1: incredible fan base, but I still think in terms of
- 8:37Speaker 1: like the grand scheme of who gets talked about your
- 8:41Speaker 1: slept on Still yeah, absolutely, I agree, you know what
- 8:44Speaker 1: I mean, There's not a lot of people who have
- 8:45Speaker 1: an album better than Too High a Riot. You know
- 8:48Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Thank you, But like I think that
- 8:51Speaker 1: I mean that You're right, like you gotta like, yo,
- 8:54Speaker 1: you gotta get some people to come to the park.
- 8:56Speaker 1: You know, you can't a lot to yourself. You gotta
- 8:58Speaker 1: look at where you are, where you want to be
- 9:00Speaker 1: and the things you gotta achieve to get there, you know.
- 9:03Speaker 1: And then and the beauty of it is like the
- 9:06Speaker 1: art of it is doing it, you know, within your sound,
- 9:09Speaker 1: within like all the songs I make and even the
- 9:11Speaker 1: Jaggie like my fan base don't hear that and be
- 9:13Speaker 1: like what the hell? Yeah, like what is he doing? Man?
- 9:15Speaker 1: It sold out? Not for sure? If you heard Milky Way,
- 9:17Speaker 1: it's kind of like a direct like percnding of of
- 9:21Speaker 1: that kind of sound and that vibe and that energy.
- 9:23Speaker 1: So it's like that's the fun part of it. It's like, okay,
- 9:25Speaker 1: like I know my sound. I figured out my sound,
- 9:28Speaker 1: you know, and that's the fun part of the artistry
- 9:30Speaker 1: is just to keep expanding what you can do and
- 9:33Speaker 1: what you can achieve, you know. So that was like
- 9:36Speaker 1: the next frontier for me. I'm like, you know what,
- 9:38Speaker 1: like I want to make some hits. How good did
- 9:39Speaker 1: it feel to get your first solo plaque? Incredible? I
- 9:44Speaker 1: got caught a couple. But because tribaling gold right, Tribal
- 9:49Speaker 1: platinum platinum? Yeah, that's my job. Night job went gold.
- 9:54Speaker 1: I don't see down bad is platinum and Costa Rican
- 9:57Speaker 1: now I think too, that's huge man, Yeah, thank you, bro.
- 10:01Speaker 1: You pull it to the crib. You got your your own,
- 10:03Speaker 1: your own plaques. Yeah, that's it's definitely. It's a blessing, bro,
- 10:08Speaker 1: It's a blessing. Like shout out to the whole team.
- 10:11Speaker 1: You know, we've been at it for a minute and
- 10:13Speaker 1: it you know, I'm somewhere where people really believe in
- 10:16Speaker 1: that artists development. You know, you gotta get ship is
- 10:19Speaker 1: a beautiful thing because you know a lot of labels
- 10:21Speaker 1: they're not you know what it is, man, They're they're
- 10:24Speaker 1: looking for that well, and they're also looking for something
- 10:27Speaker 1: that's already on fire so they can just put some
- 10:29Speaker 1: gasoline right, something that's already viral. Yeah, dream Dreamville. I
- 10:33Speaker 1: feel like it's done a superb job of growing each artist,
- 10:37Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. It yourself or Ari or
- 10:39Speaker 1: cars Like, it's like, man, it's like you see your
- 10:42Speaker 1: guys is just come up. Yeah. Everybody's got a touring base.
- 10:45Speaker 1: You know, everyone's got an album naked tour, several albums
- 10:48Speaker 1: they can tour. You know, we're kind of like in
- 10:53Speaker 1: phase two now. It's like Marvel, you know what I mean.
- 10:55Speaker 1: It's the MCU. It's just going in the phase two.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Everybody's trying. It's crazy. It's a good a good comparison. Yeah.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Uh you mentioned like being a home a lot during
- 11:03Speaker 1: the pandemic, and shit, like how did that affect you?
- 11:06Speaker 1: Just you know, because some people I know fucked with
- 11:08Speaker 1: their mental like especially being an artist, you're not able
- 11:11Speaker 1: to you know, you probably would have been a road
- 11:13Speaker 1: like there would have probably been some sort of Dreamville tour,
- 11:16Speaker 1: right for sure, you know what I'm saying, Like, you
- 11:18Speaker 1: know what I think creatively, it helped me tap into
- 11:22Speaker 1: some very like introspective raps that I was I was
- 11:27Speaker 1: missing in a sense because my life prior to that
- 11:30Speaker 1: was like six seven years on the road and kind
- 11:33Speaker 1: of ingesting all these road experiences and they're coming out
- 11:37Speaker 1: and just gave me a lot of time to just
- 11:39Speaker 1: sit back and reflect and like dig deeper on things
- 11:43Speaker 1: I wanted to say. But you know, in the same token,
- 11:46Speaker 1: I was missing the other side of it. I really
- 11:48Speaker 1: like traveling is like probably the biggest part of inspiration,
- 11:53Speaker 1: one of these other country cities whatever, liking with people collaborating.
- 11:58Speaker 1: So I missed that a lot. I missed out a lot.
- 12:00Speaker 1: But you know, I think you just got to make
- 12:02Speaker 1: use of every situation. So for me, it was like,
- 12:06Speaker 1: all right, how do I dig deeper? How do I
- 12:08Speaker 1: talk about what's really on my mind? How do I
- 12:11Speaker 1: talk about the things I know, you know, other people
- 12:13Speaker 1: are going through right now, just being isolated and feeling stagnant,
- 12:18Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Yeah, man, shit, I mean
- 12:20Speaker 1: I have my fucking kids and my wife, and I
- 12:22Speaker 1: still feel like this shit sucks. Yeah, especially being in LA,
- 12:25Speaker 1: because LA was like super shut the fuck down. Were
- 12:28Speaker 1: you out here most of the pandemic? Yeah, most of it.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I was gonna go to New York. I was gonna
- 12:32Speaker 1: go back home. But every time I'm called IM just
- 12:34Speaker 1: be like, bro, like, don't even do it. So like
- 12:36Speaker 1: I flew my parents out here and had them out
- 12:38Speaker 1: here for like a couple of months. I mean, that's dope.
- 12:40Speaker 1: You probably got to spend some time at your parents. Yeah,
- 12:43Speaker 1: my nephews, like you know, they're like two and like one,
- 12:48Speaker 1: and shit like forced you to hang out with your
- 12:50Speaker 1: family more for sure, for real for sure, and even
- 12:53Speaker 1: like your close friends, you start to realize, like them,
- 12:56Speaker 1: there's a lot of things we don't even talk about,
- 12:58Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Like I learned more about
- 13:01Speaker 1: some of the dudes I've known fifteen twenty years in
- 13:03Speaker 1: the past year that I did knowing them like you
- 13:08Speaker 1: know most of my life. It was just people were
- 13:11Speaker 1: in like a more vulnerable mental state and you feel me, like,
- 13:15Speaker 1: but you know, it's why you gotta support system facts. Man.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Now It's crazy because like outside of just getting fat
- 13:21Speaker 1: as fucked during the pandemic, I just just trying shit.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Bro was like I tried mushrooms during the pandemic. The
- 13:28Speaker 1: hell yeah, I was just had a good ass, a
- 13:30Speaker 1: few good ass and trips. Yeah yeah, yeah, like that
- 13:33Speaker 1: shit is you know, I think, like you said, like
- 13:36Speaker 1: there was pluses and minuses, and it just depends on
- 13:39Speaker 1: your perspective, cause some people let that shit really like
- 13:42Speaker 1: just take them out, you know what I'm saying, Yeah,
- 13:45Speaker 1: take them off the map. Yeah nah, I mean you
- 13:47Speaker 1: just you know, like we say, you gott keeping perspect
- 13:49Speaker 1: Everybody was going through the same thing, you know what
- 13:51Speaker 1: I mean those times where, like I said, you have
- 13:54Speaker 1: all these plans and all these thoughts and all these
- 13:56Speaker 1: goals and you gotta realize, like nothing's advanced for anybody
- 14:01Speaker 1: right now, like just chill, enjoy this moment. I even
- 14:04Speaker 1: started thinking we need like once a decade, if it's
- 14:06Speaker 1: not a pandemic something like that, just give people like
- 14:09Speaker 1: six months off. Feel me, like, let everyone work from
- 14:12Speaker 1: home for six months and everybody regroup, you know what
- 14:14Speaker 1: I mean? Get a bad idea though, once a decade. Yeah,
- 14:18Speaker 1: for sure. You say you had some some so you
- 14:21Speaker 1: you fuck with the psychedelics? Yeah? Acid as a mushrooms?
- 14:25Speaker 1: What is? I've never done acid? I heard it's like
- 14:27Speaker 1: more like extremely visual. Yeah, I feel like so it
- 14:31Speaker 1: lasts a good bit longer than mushrooms. You're high, Its
- 14:33Speaker 1: probably twice as long the trip. But I feel like
- 14:38Speaker 1: sometimes with mushrooms you could kind of get into like
- 14:40Speaker 1: a dark spot in the trip where you're like facing
- 14:44Speaker 1: these these demons or whatever you've been running for, and
- 14:48Speaker 1: then you know, usually come out the other side of
- 14:50Speaker 1: a better person for it. With acid, like you always
- 14:53Speaker 1: know it's the drugs. You know, like you'll start tweeting like, oh,
- 14:56Speaker 1: it's the drugs. Man on to the next. I would
- 15:00Speaker 1: be like questioning your whole life's purpose. Take too much,
- 15:02Speaker 1: just some moments where you really have to look yourself
- 15:04Speaker 1: in the mirror. Acid is more like I'm gonna take
- 15:08Speaker 1: some ass I can go to the bar. Yeah, I'm saying,
- 15:11Speaker 1: you go to the bar, you can go around strangers.
- 15:12Speaker 1: I could have a full, like intellectual ass convo with
- 15:16Speaker 1: a random stranger on that. So the mushals, I kind
- 15:18Speaker 1: of just want to be with my core group for sure. Yeah.
- 15:21Speaker 1: And I had a bad trip and I was in
- 15:23Speaker 1: Texas tripping the fuck out, man, when I decided to
- 15:26Speaker 1: go bar hopping after I ate a whole bunch of
- 15:28Speaker 1: shrooms and an an edible yeah, bold, worst decision in
- 15:31Speaker 1: my life, you bowld. I was freaking fuck out. It
- 15:34Speaker 1: was a start looking at people in the bar like
- 15:36Speaker 1: this dough faced or something crazy. No, there was a
- 15:39Speaker 1: lady dancing and her face looked like you remember on
- 15:43Speaker 1: cops back in the day they used to have their
- 15:44Speaker 1: faces scrambled. And there was this bitch dancing in front
- 15:49Speaker 1: of us, and uh, I was with I was with
- 15:52Speaker 1: Freddi Gibbs, and I was like, yo, friend, is is
- 15:55Speaker 1: that bitch just we're both on shrooms. I was like,
- 15:58Speaker 1: is you see her face? And he's like, we saw
- 16:01Speaker 1: the same thing. He's like, Nah, it's all fucked up, bro,
- 16:06Speaker 1: And then some dudes came in. I was paring as fuck. Bro.
- 16:09Speaker 1: I thought, bro, I was, I was. It was a
- 16:11Speaker 1: bad look that I'm never doing shrooms ever again in
- 16:14Speaker 1: like a social area. It ain't that. But you could
- 16:17Speaker 1: do acid. You can do d MT nah. I have
- 16:21Speaker 1: so much of it in my freezer that my homie
- 16:24Speaker 1: got me on my birthday. You have a bunch of
- 16:26Speaker 1: your freezer. I have a bunch of my freezer right now.
- 16:29Speaker 1: You're don't have to get a crack pipe, you know that, right,
- 16:32Speaker 1: I'm like trying to trying to you know, I like
- 16:34Speaker 1: to do psychedelics, like when I when I'm either reached
- 16:38Speaker 1: a certain like usually like if I wrap up a project,
- 16:41Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like it seems like I'm
- 16:43Speaker 1: putting a bowl on like a moment in life, you
- 16:46Speaker 1: know what I mean. I like to pick my moments
- 16:48Speaker 1: or maybe if I'm starting a project kind of deal,
- 16:52Speaker 1: so I like to pick. You gotta pick and choose
- 16:55Speaker 1: that ship because yeah, it's almost like you you do
- 16:57Speaker 1: it as as you like when you feel like you
- 16:59Speaker 1: need it exactly, like maybe if there's a wall or
- 17:02Speaker 1: something or that you can try to break through, or
- 17:04Speaker 1: you know what, right right, or if it's like all right,
- 17:07Speaker 1: what's next? Right? Exactly? Like, give me a little bit
- 17:09Speaker 1: of clarity. Where am I going with this? This guy
- 17:11Speaker 1: got a freezer for a DMT I do right now?
- 17:13Speaker 1: Just that moment hasn't hit me yet. That shouldn't hit me.
- 17:16Speaker 1: That sh it's like I heard it. I've never done DMT.
- 17:19Speaker 1: I want to do it. I just can't get my
- 17:20Speaker 1: fucking hands on any of it. But oh shit, I
- 17:22Speaker 1: got you. I say you got some. But also I'm
- 17:25Speaker 1: like scared because that's what I'm saying. That's where I'm
- 17:27Speaker 1: at with it too, Like I don't know, you literally
- 17:29Speaker 1: have to freebase that ship. And then I heard for
- 17:32Speaker 1: like fifteen minutes, you're just gone. Yeah, I don't even
- 17:35Speaker 1: want no one around with you, like you're gone. Like
- 17:37Speaker 1: I had a homie who said he he had like
- 17:39Speaker 1: a six month like like lived out six months of
- 17:43Speaker 1: his life and his DMT trip and then woke up
- 17:45Speaker 1: and it was only fifteen minutes long. He said he
- 17:47Speaker 1: had a girlfriend, he had a job, all kinds of shit.
- 17:50Speaker 1: That's crazy. So that's why I'm like, damn do I
- 17:52Speaker 1: I don't do I want to just I don't. I'm
- 17:56Speaker 1: exactly where you at with it, Like I want to
- 17:59Speaker 1: do it, sitting there. You know what I mean, I'll
- 18:00Speaker 1: be opened up my fridge and get some ice and
- 18:02Speaker 1: that's just be staring at me. But I'm like, I
- 18:05Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know if I'm ready. I don't
- 18:07Speaker 1: know if I'm ready. I don't know if I'm ready
- 18:08Speaker 1: to maybe when I put this next album out, Okay,
- 18:11Speaker 1: you know what I mean? And the Jackie going crazy
- 18:13Speaker 1: and I can say, you know what, let's let's let's
- 18:15Speaker 1: go on this. Yeah, let's go. Let's go melt my
- 18:18Speaker 1: face off for twenty minutes. Yea, Hey, what up? Man?
- 18:21Speaker 1: How to interrupt the Boutlet Cap podcast to tell you
- 18:23Speaker 1: about our good friends at odd Socks. All right, Yo,

- 19:18Speaker 1: is your album done? No, it's not done yet. It's so,
- 19:21Speaker 1: it's not done yet. It's not done yet, but I
- 19:23Speaker 1: mean it could be, but I just got bigger plans
- 19:28Speaker 1: for it. You know when you say you're working on
- 19:29Speaker 1: another single that's gonna be big as well? Yeah, can
- 19:33Speaker 1: you give us a little bit of insight. It's me
- 19:36Speaker 1: and Gunna. Oh all right, you know, another little collab
- 19:40Speaker 1: people wouldn't really expect. That's true. I've been trying to
- 19:43Speaker 1: find people like that and just kind of sonically bringing
- 19:45Speaker 1: them into my world, even like how we did with TJ.
- 19:48Speaker 1: For sure. You know what I mean. I'm a huge
- 19:51Speaker 1: Gunner fan. So you heard it first, you know what
- 19:54Speaker 1: I mean. So that would be a Gunner Boss record.
- 19:57Speaker 1: You know, it's crazy because I think gunn Is, who
- 19:58Speaker 1: kind of like low key top baby had a rap
- 20:02Speaker 1: for real. Yeah, man, I love what all those Atlanta
- 20:06Speaker 1: dudes do for each Yeah. I think a little baby,
- 20:08Speaker 1: a little baby lyrically somehow has like became like a monster,
- 20:13Speaker 1: because like three or four years ago, when I was
- 20:14Speaker 1: first year in little Bit, I was like, oh, this
- 20:15Speaker 1: ship is cool. You know some Atlanta young boys ship.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Like this motherfucker is wrapping circles around everybody right now.
- 20:21Speaker 1: He's crazy. Yeah, it's crazy. How was it like being
- 20:24Speaker 1: in the studio with Gunner or was that like it
- 20:27Speaker 1: was an email thing? It was like in the midst
- 20:29Speaker 1: of you know, COVID, so no one was really like
- 20:32Speaker 1: linking up at the studio like that. But yo, I
- 20:35Speaker 1: heard during first of all, obviously the the Dreamville sessions
- 20:39Speaker 1: or legendary at this point everybody who got flown into town.
- 20:44Speaker 1: And but I heard that Chris Bosh. Chris Bosh pulled up.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Chris pulled up and made some beats. Yeah he's he's
- 20:50Speaker 1: kind of hard too. I ain't gonna lie. He was
- 20:53Speaker 1: in there with like with Cole and T minus and
- 20:56Speaker 1: and Diesel shout out the bros. Was that like the
- 20:58Speaker 1: most random dude to pull up. No, nah, who's the
- 21:02Speaker 1: most random? Random dudes? Chris Bosh Making beats is pretty random,
- 21:07Speaker 1: Chris Bosher. I mean that is kind of up there
- 21:10Speaker 1: on the random scale. But like a Conn was in
- 21:13Speaker 1: there at some point with like his family, like just
- 21:16Speaker 1: chilling the whole Milwaukee Bucks. Joannis was there. Ye came
- 21:21Speaker 1: through nice. Not making any beats though, Nah, but they
- 21:25Speaker 1: catered like a whole dinner for us. Oh shit, yeah
- 21:27Speaker 1: yeah yeah. It was a love shout out to the
- 21:29Speaker 1: bucks Man for real. I mean, I got issues right now,
- 21:32Speaker 1: but we're up to one right now. You know what's
- 21:35Speaker 1: crazy about the Bucks is I was telling this to
- 21:36Speaker 1: my homie. Were at the game of Game two, like
- 21:39Speaker 1: earlier this week or whatever it was, and I was like, damn,
- 21:42Speaker 1: you know, I hated people on the Clippers right, like
- 21:45Speaker 1: you know Sports eight, which is not the same as
- 21:47Speaker 1: like actual hate, right. I couldn't stand fucking Yokic on
- 21:51Speaker 1: the Nuggets. Uh. You know, I'm a Lebron fan, so
- 21:57Speaker 1: I kind of was indifferent about the Lakers series. I
- 21:59Speaker 1: was like, look, worse case scenario, Lebron wins. He's my
- 22:01Speaker 1: favorite player, even though I've hated the Lakers my whole
- 22:04Speaker 1: life because I'm from Phoenix. When Lebron went over there,
- 22:06Speaker 1: I looked the other way for my sports. I feel
- 22:09Speaker 1: you on that. But the Bucks I got nobody to
- 22:11Speaker 1: like hate, Like I really fuck with Yanni's. PJ Tucker
- 22:15Speaker 1: used to be a son. Yeah, you know what I'm saying,
- 22:18Speaker 1: Like I like how Drew Holliday Drew Holidays dope, Like
- 22:21Speaker 1: he's very humble, you don't talk shit. Chris Middleton is
- 22:23Speaker 1: like someone who like has come up in the league
- 22:26Speaker 1: has been so crazy. I'm like, Damn, I don't even
- 22:27Speaker 1: I can't even. I want a chance fuck the Bucks
- 22:30Speaker 1: at the game, but I can't. I don't feel it.
- 22:32Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I feel you on that.
- 22:34Speaker 1: They definitely got that kind of makeup. Like you're like,
- 22:36Speaker 1: who hates Gianni's He's like the nicest dude. He stayed down,
- 22:39Speaker 1: he re signed. You know what I'm saying, Like, it's crazy,
- 22:42Speaker 1: what what are you? A Nick fan? For sure? So,
- 22:45Speaker 1: I mean, shit, man, the Knicks fucking you know that
- 22:47Speaker 1: was unexpected. I don't even you know Nixon six. I mean,
- 22:52Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie when when y'all won that one
- 22:54Speaker 1: game in the series and acted like it was the championship.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Outside I knew it was over, it was, I know,
- 23:00Speaker 1: but the city needed it this series. The city needed it.
- 23:05Speaker 1: But you know what I mean, that's that's about as
- 23:06Speaker 1: good as we've been. Oh for sure sometimes so you
- 23:09Speaker 1: know the city I riled up, and then it was
- 23:11Speaker 1: it was reopening. It was like the perfect timing. Everybody was, yeah, yeah,
- 23:16Speaker 1: they brought all the all that COVID energy outside. Have
- 23:19Speaker 1: you been, because I've noticed a lot of my Nick
- 23:22Speaker 1: friends they've transferred to the nets, which I've now, first
- 23:26Speaker 1: of all, shout Kate's my dog. I don't hate on
- 23:29Speaker 1: the nets. I'm not one of those Knicks fans that
- 23:31Speaker 1: hates on the nets because I you know, I know
- 23:33Speaker 1: some players on the team and I rock with them,
- 23:35Speaker 1: so personally, I just want to see them be great.
- 23:38Speaker 1: You feel me? But nah, I'm still a Knicks fan.
- 23:41Speaker 1: But you noticed a lot of people like going over
- 23:44Speaker 1: to the side. Yeah, yeah, my sports chaff I showed
- 23:47Speaker 1: you our sports chat right now. That's that's a big
- 23:49Speaker 1: that's a big point of argument. That ship is crazy.
- 23:52Speaker 1: I imagine if like the Clippers want to ring this year,
- 23:55Speaker 1: and you started to notice like what I will say
- 24:00Speaker 1: because it would be the Brooklyn niggas you feel me.
- 24:02Speaker 1: So it's like if you're from Brooklyn and you're like,
- 24:05Speaker 1: like co Vane's talking to me, like yo, the Nets,
- 24:07Speaker 1: You're gonna get your sons in the finals, And I'm like, bro,
- 24:09Speaker 1: you're what you a Knicks fan? Fight? Like what from Brooklyn? Okay? See, yeah,
- 24:14Speaker 1: so you gotta give you gotta give them a past
- 24:16Speaker 1: because if a team pops up in your backyard, you
- 24:19Speaker 1: know kind of got to just ride with him. That's fair. Whatere?
- 24:22Speaker 1: Are you from Queens? Queens is? I feel like Queens
- 24:26Speaker 1: is one of the more interesting boroughs in all New
- 24:27Speaker 1: York because because it's like everything is there. Yeah, it's
- 24:30Speaker 1: it's the most diverse county. So diverse in the world.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Is it in the world in the world? Yeap, that
- 24:36Speaker 1: ship's crazy. Yeah, we got a little bit of everything
- 24:40Speaker 1: and and quite possibly I always like, you know, what's
- 24:44Speaker 1: the better burrow hip hop all time? Is it Brooklyn?
- 24:49Speaker 1: Is it? I think it's I personally Queens is a
- 24:55Speaker 1: certain brand of rappers too, Like I mean Ship Nas Mob, Deeps,
- 25:01Speaker 1: fifty Tribe Run dmc ll no nor He's not from Queens.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Norie's from Queens. Norse, he is from Yeah yeah, list,
- 25:14Speaker 1: the list goes on. Man, Brooklyn is just very top
- 25:17Speaker 1: heavy though, and we claimed Cold too. Don't forget that.
- 25:19Speaker 1: That's fair. Cold Cole came up and got busy with us.
- 25:22Speaker 1: So that's another queen's rabbit, you know. By way of
- 25:25Speaker 1: I think that's cheating man, how he sounded like a
- 25:28Speaker 1: queen's rabbit listening to Cold, he sounds like he's from Queens.
- 25:31Speaker 1: He's from Vyeville. Bro. I'm just saying though, But you
- 25:33Speaker 1: know he came up when he was with eighteen seven.
- 25:36Speaker 1: That's fair. That's fair. That's fair we claim. We claim
- 25:39Speaker 1: with you know, like half that are Is there any discussion?
- 25:42Speaker 1: By the way, shout out to Eve for I you know,
- 25:44Speaker 1: I had to hit him when the Dreamville project came
- 25:47Speaker 1: out because I know that he kind of helped arrange
- 25:49Speaker 1: that and and it was such a cohesive project and
- 25:53Speaker 1: I know how hard that is to do with all
- 25:56Speaker 1: the moving parts, and I'm sure the pull of songs
- 25:58Speaker 1: to choose from had to be crazy, and it just
- 26:01Speaker 1: it just it was. It played so well fronts of
- 26:04Speaker 1: back Yeah, I was like, bro, you killed this ship.
- 26:09Speaker 1: The sequencing that like everything was like even just like
- 26:12Speaker 1: some of the artists that you wouldn't even expect when
- 26:14Speaker 1: you see the track, look like what what like wop
- 26:17Speaker 1: dads on this album? Yeah? No, you know what I'm saying, Like,
- 26:21Speaker 1: I just thought it was such a great uh you know,
- 26:24Speaker 1: it almost feels like an impossible feat to have a
- 26:28Speaker 1: compilation be so just front to back. That's you know,
- 26:33Speaker 1: there's been dope compilations and hip I even think of
- 26:35Speaker 1: like Diplomatic Community. There was some ship on there that
- 26:38Speaker 1: I skipped. I think this too was the one that
- 26:40Speaker 1: was like most of the skips, you know, the Dreamville
- 26:43Speaker 1: ship was so crazy. Has there been any discussion of
- 26:45Speaker 1: like doing it doing a Volume four in the future,
- 26:48Speaker 1: For sure, we gotta do that. I feel like three
- 26:51Speaker 1: kind of, you know, opened a lot of people's eyes too,
- 26:55Speaker 1: because the first two were super slept on. Yeah, very
- 26:58Speaker 1: much so. Yeah, but you know, everything happens for a
- 27:01Speaker 1: reason and you know, within its timing. I feel like
- 27:04Speaker 1: when three came around, we had a lot of artists
- 27:08Speaker 1: on the label to have reached just new levels on
- 27:10Speaker 1: their whether it was myself, ri Jed Earth Gang, we
- 27:14Speaker 1: said Cozon and Loop and then going back to what
- 27:19Speaker 1: you said about how cohesive it was, I think that's
- 27:21Speaker 1: because we did it all in those ten eleven days
- 27:24Speaker 1: that we together. Yeah, everyone was together. It was like, Okay,
- 27:28Speaker 1: I'm walking into this session, all right. You guys already
- 27:31Speaker 1: got like two verses in the hook. Let me do
- 27:32Speaker 1: a bridge or you know, I'm walking into this session,
- 27:35Speaker 1: all right, you know you guys need a hook. Let
- 27:37Speaker 1: me try this hook idea, you know what I mean.
- 27:40Speaker 1: As opposed to like sending tracks back and forth and
- 27:43Speaker 1: trying to put this piece of it was just literally
- 27:45Speaker 1: like who's in the room. Who stumbled into the room,
- 27:48Speaker 1: Like you know, some of those tracks are like eight
- 27:51Speaker 1: people on them. That's real, you feel me? So all right,
- 27:53Speaker 1: well just keep it the eight bars. We ain't all
- 27:56Speaker 1: doing sixteens on this. It was a lot of that,
- 28:00Speaker 1: and it was cool to see people's just process. You know,
- 28:02Speaker 1: artists have such a wide range of creative processes. Like
- 28:06Speaker 1: some people don't want no one around, and then you
- 28:08Speaker 1: see those people like come out of that show, yeah,
- 28:11Speaker 1: because they almost have no choice. Like imagine being the
- 28:13Speaker 1: guy that goes all the way to Atlanta, right, I
- 28:15Speaker 1: hate everybody. Yeah, that wasn't gonna happen, right, you know.
- 28:20Speaker 1: So it was cool to see people just adapt to
- 28:22Speaker 1: each other's creative process. Nah, I think it was. It was.
- 28:25Speaker 1: It was done to I mean Volume four. Hast gotta
- 28:27Speaker 1: gotta be I mean Volume three. It just performed so
- 28:30Speaker 1: well too, like such a big deal. Man. Besides Jackie,
- 28:38Speaker 1: which has Little TJ and Colon and you just mentioned
- 28:40Speaker 1: the gun. Is there anybody who's not on your album
- 28:43Speaker 1: yet who you would love to get a verse from what?
- 28:50Speaker 1: There's a lot of people. Let me think I got
- 28:53Speaker 1: this record. I really want Sway Leon. I want to
- 28:57Speaker 1: get Snow. I like snows Amazing. He's incredible. Yeah. I
- 29:03Speaker 1: would love to get a whiz Kid on the album. Yeah,
- 29:06Speaker 1: whiz Kid. It might have the song in the Summer. Man.
- 29:08Speaker 1: What that album? That album got me through the whole pandemic.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Honestly made it legos that got me through the whole
- 29:13Speaker 1: the whole pandemic. I was running that. Let's see, man,
- 29:17Speaker 1: there's a there's a lot honestly that these songs I'm making,
- 29:20Speaker 1: Like like I said, I'm making him from that standpoint,
- 29:23Speaker 1: like how do I make these joints? Like how do
- 29:26Speaker 1: I make these like major joints. So I'm doing things
- 29:31Speaker 1: that I'm always hearing somebody on. So I want to
- 29:34Speaker 1: get Routy on the record. I really want to get
- 29:37Speaker 1: on the record. That'd be crazy. Yeah, I'm working man.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Hopefully those people I named when the album come out,
- 29:44Speaker 1: we can look back and see you've also been like
- 29:47Speaker 1: I feel like you've also haven't been like greedy with
- 29:49Speaker 1: like doing like collapse like you know you, I saw
- 29:51Speaker 1: you you were on that record where that Wakota and
- 29:54Speaker 1: I think Joey was on that. What what are some
- 29:59Speaker 1: like like like you mentioned whiz Kid album on the
- 30:03Speaker 1: hip hop side, where is like the ship that you've
- 30:05Speaker 1: really been just that's on repeat in the whip for
- 30:08Speaker 1: you on Spotify a lot of like the Brooklyn drill scene. Honestly,
- 30:15Speaker 1: that shit's going up, man. I just I just went
- 30:17Speaker 1: and hung out with Dusty Locine and Canarsi and yeah yeah, yeah,
- 30:20Speaker 1: and who else we were hanging out with Ross Wish. Yeah,
- 30:24Speaker 1: that ship is going crazy. As far as like the
- 30:26Speaker 1: hip hop I've been been running through all those catch
- 30:30Speaker 1: the drill yet crazy Yeah to Gez, I know, like
- 30:36Speaker 1: they got that's a problem. Definitely, Like everybody got their issues.
- 30:39Speaker 1: But bro, I had no neutral party. I'm over here
- 30:41Speaker 1: listening to all that, Like, I had no idea how
- 30:45Speaker 1: crazy that ship was, like the Woo's and the Chows
- 30:50Speaker 1: or whatever in New York. Yeah, yeah, it's going up. Yeah,
- 30:54Speaker 1: we went We went to New York for like a week.
- 30:56Speaker 1: We went to Buffalo and chill with Griselda and then
- 30:59Speaker 1: like I'm doing some original content almost like some hip
- 31:03Speaker 1: hop Anthony Boardaine ship with Empire. So we like we
- 31:06Speaker 1: did a bunch of stuff with the Drill guys, and
- 31:09Speaker 1: we were just in the hotel room like like let's
- 31:11Speaker 1: see what's going on, you know, and watch this whole
- 31:14Speaker 1: documentary about that whole ship. I'm like, this ship is crazy.
- 31:17Speaker 1: That's why they wouldn't let No Wady do that Rolling
- 31:18Speaker 1: Loud a couple of years ago. Remember that was Yeah,
- 31:22Speaker 1: that's when they took Yeah. Yeah, that shit's crazy, though,
- 31:26Speaker 1: I had like no idea, bro, Like I think it
- 31:28Speaker 1: was a chef was a chef you either got stabbed,
- 31:31Speaker 1: you got stabbed in the head or some ship. Yeah
- 31:33Speaker 1: it was damn. I don't even know all that. Yeah, shi,
- 31:36Speaker 1: it is nuts. Like meanwhile, but they're making really good music.
- 31:40Speaker 1: They're making great music. You know, you gotta hope. Yeah,
- 31:44Speaker 1: you know, everybody matures to the level past that. But
- 31:46Speaker 1: you know that's ship that we don't even know about,
- 31:48Speaker 1: you know what I mean, that's just like shit they've
- 31:50Speaker 1: all been dealing with. I imagine imagine Bozz doing a
- 31:54Speaker 1: drill record though. You know what I'm saying that I
- 31:56Speaker 1: got something in the tuck that'd be so random. I got,
- 31:59Speaker 1: Oh it's coming, come, don't even worry about it. Okay,
- 32:01Speaker 1: I don't worry about it. How you feeling, you know,
- 32:05Speaker 1: obviously you're a big basketball guy. How do you feeling
- 32:06Speaker 1: about my Phoenix Suns man? You know, Book is my dude.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Book Book Book is like you say, he's your dude,
- 32:12Speaker 1: like he's your friend. Yeah, somebody been rocking with drink
- 32:15Speaker 1: from like early, like early, like I remember, I think
- 32:21Speaker 1: it was in Vegas once and like Book wasn't even
- 32:23Speaker 1: twenty one yet. You know, the Vegas clubs don't play that, right,
- 32:26Speaker 1: So like he's a he's a dude that been like
- 32:29Speaker 1: just supporting us from jump. So I really want to
- 32:32Speaker 1: see him win and CP three. But then I'll see
- 32:36Speaker 1: you know, we got a lot of homies on it. Mean,
- 32:38Speaker 1: obviously they've catered you guys dinner, and Devin Booker didn't
- 32:41Speaker 1: come to your fucking session. Yeah you're right, You're right.
- 32:44Speaker 1: That's a good point. I mean, so you're you're just
- 32:47Speaker 1: kind of like whoever wins, you're cool with. You know what,
- 32:50Speaker 1: I do want to see Chris Paul get one because
- 32:52Speaker 1: I think out of everyone playing, his legacy would gain
- 32:57Speaker 1: the most solidified. It'd be so solidified. Top five point guard.
- 33:00Speaker 1: I think he's the top five point guard already, but
- 33:03Speaker 1: that nobody can say, especially the way he's led that
- 33:06Speaker 1: team and the way he's made those pieces. Like even
- 33:09Speaker 1: like last year on the Thunder, they were a five seed, bro,
- 33:13Speaker 1: they thought they were gonna tank and be in the lottery,
- 33:16Speaker 1: and Chris Paul had them their motherfuckers playing bro. He's
- 33:19Speaker 1: what year sixteen now, So like that window, it is shringing.
- 33:23Speaker 1: So you know, I'm I'm ruining. I'm ruined for the Suns.
- 33:27Speaker 1: But you know, I think Giannice is gonna get his.
- 33:29Speaker 1: I think they're gonna have their time. Yeah Nice is
- 33:32Speaker 1: still young man, exactly. I want. I want to see
- 33:34Speaker 1: Chris Wall get one before it's so Yeah, CP three
- 33:37Speaker 1: is that guy who would you consider to be the
- 33:39Speaker 1: CP three of rap, the CP three of rap. Somebody
- 33:43Speaker 1: who's like, maybe doesn't get that acknowledgement, but it's like
- 33:46Speaker 1: an all time great and what they do? You know
- 33:48Speaker 1: what I'm saying. That's a great that's a great one.
- 33:51Speaker 1: I'm trying to think, who's the Chris paul a Rap?
- 33:54Speaker 1: Who is right? You got to answer that one? Because
- 33:58Speaker 1: also Chris Wall makes everyone around him better. I'm trying
- 34:01Speaker 1: to think of that person too, you know, I don't know.
- 34:05Speaker 1: That's a tough one. That is really tough. Night Train.
- 34:11Speaker 1: You ain't got nobody Cole, he said, Cole Cold got
- 34:16Speaker 1: his rings. Though Cold got his rings. Man, you got
- 34:19Speaker 1: a few of them rings. Yeah, I got them rings.
- 34:22Speaker 1: You had the rings. Yeah. I'm trying to think of
- 34:24Speaker 1: someone who might be like less appreciated. Yeah, maybe, like
- 34:29Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe somebody like he forty, You do
- 34:35Speaker 1: he make the bay forty made the big jump for real?
- 34:39Speaker 1: Yeah that's hard. I like that. That's not a bad
- 34:41Speaker 1: one for Yeah, I'll let you have that, man, I'll
- 34:44Speaker 1: let you have that. Yeah. Yeah, I'll let you have that.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Barrier over there. This guy tried to tell me mag
- 34:49Speaker 1: Dre was the most influential rapper of all time. No no, no, no,
- 34:52Speaker 1: you didn't say one of them. No no, no no, no no,
- 34:54Speaker 1: no said no he said no, no, no, you didn't
- 34:57Speaker 1: say that when we now you're saying that because no,
- 35:01Speaker 1: he said the most influential rapper ever. You're fucking on
- 35:07Speaker 1: drugs whatever they're smoking on in the bay. We got
- 35:09Speaker 1: to talk about he on d M T for sure.
- 35:12Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Shout out to mac dre,
- 35:15Speaker 1: rest in peace. He's a legend, you know what I'm saying,
- 35:17Speaker 1: icon in your area for sure. But he is one
- 35:21Speaker 1: of those dudes though, Like as you know, as a
- 35:23Speaker 1: New Yorker, like when you're thinking of Babe, you think
- 35:25Speaker 1: of mac dre, you're thinking of Madre. Like nobody in
- 35:31Speaker 1: New York's playing it on. Yeah, in a certain part
- 35:35Speaker 1: of the country, they go crazy, But you can't say
- 35:37Speaker 1: he's the single most influential rapper ever for the region. Okay,
- 35:44Speaker 1: are you accepting defeat in the argument? So he's more
- 35:49Speaker 1: I mean, he's got on, you know, So he's more
- 35:51Speaker 1: influential than Hove or Tupac or fucking rock him. You
- 35:57Speaker 1: didn't say that, though, Funk out of here, bro, You
- 35:59Speaker 1: didn't say that now you say Little Wings more influential.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Come on, bro anyway, Well look hopefully in any timeline
- 36:06Speaker 1: when we're gonna get the album. Besides just before the
- 36:08Speaker 1: end of the year, I'm hoping for like Q four Okay, Yeah,
- 36:17Speaker 1: things I want to I want to get out. There
- 36:20Speaker 1: is everyone working, like everyone on the team right now
- 36:22Speaker 1: working on on on projects d O d O D
- 36:26Speaker 1: everybody everybody going crazy. Yeah, I thought it was super
- 36:29Speaker 1: dope to see Earth Gang have like one of them
- 36:31Speaker 1: records that like did well on radio options, did it? Gang? Uh?
- 36:36Speaker 1: Ghetto guys on the way, And you know, obviously Jedd
- 36:40Speaker 1: j I D is one of the He's an alien.
- 36:42Speaker 1: I always say there's like certain people are like uh
- 36:45Speaker 1: jedis and hip hop and he's like lyrically a Jedi. Yeah. Yeah,
- 36:50Speaker 1: that record he put out with Conway's fucking crazy. He
- 36:53Speaker 1: went crazy on it. So he's working on his ship. Obviously,
- 36:56Speaker 1: Cole's probably relaxing right now. I'd assume I don't even know.
- 37:02Speaker 1: You never know what cold You just never know, right,
- 37:04Speaker 1: You never know what Cole he got. You know, he's
- 37:06Speaker 1: on that path to the fall off. I think he's
- 37:08Speaker 1: trying to get everything off his chest that he wants to.
- 37:10Speaker 1: I want to see I want to see Cause and
- 37:12Speaker 1: Reason do album together. Man, me too, me too. I
- 37:16Speaker 1: would love it. I would love that. I really love that.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Lambo Truck is like such a great like it was
- 37:21Speaker 1: like such a perfectly executed concept. I was like, yo,
- 37:24Speaker 1: y'all got to do the album. It was on somebody
- 37:26Speaker 1: how to rob Ship, but like the West Coast version,
- 37:28Speaker 1: they got to do an album. Bro, they I think
- 37:30Speaker 1: I know Reason said he's down. I think you know
- 37:33Speaker 1: obviously there's two teparate camps. Well not even I think
- 37:37Speaker 1: it's feasible if you know, if those two made the music,
- 37:41Speaker 1: I don't think anybody would stay. It would be the
- 37:43Speaker 1: col and Kendrick album we never got, but on a
- 37:45Speaker 1: lesser scale, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, I feel that, Yeah,
- 37:48Speaker 1: I think that that's what it would be. Who would
- 37:50Speaker 1: you if you could do a collap album with, Like, like,
- 37:53Speaker 1: anybody who you got real chemistry with, who you really
- 37:55Speaker 1: funck with? Like, who would you do a collab project with?
- 37:57Speaker 1: I'm not saying it's gonna happen. I'm saying like, if
- 37:59Speaker 1: you have me, the easiest colla project will probably be
- 38:01Speaker 1: with Cold because we just got we already damn there
- 38:04Speaker 1: got one. If I got to pick anybody, yeah, Cold
- 38:09Speaker 1: would be a layup. That's easy though, for real, for real. Yeah,
- 38:13Speaker 1: but like I want him rapping on a skateboard p
- 38:15Speaker 1: yeah yeah, not just on the production side, like there
- 38:20Speaker 1: it is man. Well look, hey boss, I appreciate you
- 38:22Speaker 1: pulling up. Hopefully we get this album sooner than later. Yeah,
- 38:25Speaker 1: the song Jackie is out. Let's get it. It's going crazy.
- 38:29Speaker 1: It's air congratulations. I think it's already like five million
- 38:32Speaker 1: on Spotify. Just been out for like a week. Yeah,
- 38:34Speaker 1: and it's going up. Shout out everybody supporting all the DJs.
- 38:38Speaker 1: keV appreciate you. The Homie Box
