- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing in with Becca Tilly and Tanya Radd, an iHeartRadio
- 0:04Speaker 1: and two-time People's Choice Award-winning podcast. Hello, everybody.
- 0:13Speaker 2: We are scrubbing in.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Yes, it is a Tuesday, August 25th. I am so sorry.
- 0:18Speaker 1: I will take the L on our non-podcasting yesterday.
- 0:23Speaker 2: I am..
- 0:25Speaker 1: Undergoing some things that are very timely that I have
- 0:28Speaker 1: to do on specific days. And so that interrupted our
- 0:32Speaker 1: podcasting schedule yesterday. It also might impact next Monday. But
- 0:36Speaker 1: I'm going to cross that bridge when it comes.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I won't be here. So remember, we have to figure
- 0:42Speaker 2: that out.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Oh, even better. OK, great. OK, great.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Great.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Maybe Robbie can come in.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Things are aligning. So I'll take the L on that.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I apologize. But I appreciate everybody waiting. And I appreciate
- 0:52Speaker 1: Becca being flexible. For her girl.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Whatever I can do to be of service to you
- 0:59Speaker 2: and for you. Welcome back. You had a really crazy,
- 1:05Speaker 2: exciting week last week.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Crazy.
- 1:07Speaker 2: So I don't know if you're not on Instagram, you
- 1:12Speaker 2: didn't see this, but Tanya was the opening act for
- 1:16Speaker 2: the Jonas Brothers at Madison Square Garden three nights in
- 1:18Speaker 2: a row.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Giving myself an applause for that. Yes, I am.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Because... It's epic in the sense of being asked. That's
- 1:25Speaker 2: such an epic thing. But to say yes and be
- 1:30Speaker 2: the entertainment before the show, before the Jonas Brothers, I
- 1:36Speaker 2: would be so intimidated by it. And you were amazing.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I was super intimidated by it.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Really? Yes.
- 1:43Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:43Speaker 2: You come across so overly calm, cool, and collected. Well.
- 1:50Speaker 2: First of all, how did it happen?
- 1:52Speaker 1: So I've known the Jonas Brothers for a very long time,
- 1:57Speaker 1: like very, very long time. Been a fan of theirs,
- 1:59Speaker 1: huge fan. And it all kind of came together somewhat
- 2:03Speaker 1: last minute. I think they asked me probably like a
- 2:05Speaker 1: week before, basically saying that they had this idea of
- 2:10Speaker 1: kind of creating like a fan group. fan moment before
- 2:14Speaker 1: like the the Jones brothers come on and then that
- 2:17Speaker 1: my name came up with Tanya do it like Tanya
- 2:19Speaker 1: would be perfect would she do it so then that's
- 2:21Speaker 1: when they called me they wanted to see if I
- 2:23Speaker 1: could if my schedule allowed and then I had to
- 2:26Speaker 1: like figure out scheduling, get approved by bosses, et cetera,
- 2:31Speaker 1: et cetera. So that took like a day or two.
- 2:33Speaker 1: And then I was in. And then once I was committed,
- 2:36Speaker 1: I was like, oh my gosh, I'm essentially opening the
- 2:40Speaker 1: show for the Jonas Brothers. But nobody wants to see me.
- 2:43Speaker 1: And I'm very well aware of that. So what I
- 2:46Speaker 1: was trying to do was just make it like all
- 2:48Speaker 1: about the fans and like enhancing the fan experience. And
- 2:51Speaker 1: it all kind of came together in real time, like
- 2:53Speaker 1: in terms of like the planning and like figuring out
- 2:56Speaker 1: where we were going to go, how far the camera,
- 2:59Speaker 1: you know, I was in the concourse. I was in
- 3:01Speaker 1: the seats. The camera crew was like moving with me.
- 3:03Speaker 1: It was all very fluid. So the first night was
- 3:06Speaker 1: like total chaos. And then by the second, third night,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I was like..
- 3:11Speaker 2: You said, come along, follow me.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yeah, let's go.
- 3:13Speaker 2: How did you decide who you talked to? Like, how
- 3:16Speaker 2: was that decided?
- 3:17Speaker 1: So they had a producer that came out from L.A.
- 3:19Speaker 1: also to kind of that was like her role was
- 3:23Speaker 1: to find these fans. So she would like scour the
- 3:26Speaker 1: concourse looking for people just like decked out in gear
- 3:29Speaker 1: and getting these stories. And like, that's the crazy thing
- 3:32Speaker 1: is like some of these stories are really like this
- 3:33Speaker 1: one girl brought her original ticket from the 2008 tour
- 3:37Speaker 1: that she had framed. It was like in a frame.
- 3:39Speaker 1: She brought it. Had it. And she was like, I'd
- 3:44Speaker 1: love for the guys to sign it. And I was like, okay. Well,
- 3:46Speaker 1: I was like, I can't make any promises. I don't
- 3:48Speaker 1: work for them. But I told the girl that I'm
- 3:52Speaker 1: close with that works with them. And she was like,
- 3:55Speaker 1: let me get it. I'll have them sign it during intermission. Wow.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I know.
- 3:58Speaker 2: You did it?
- 3:59Speaker 1: I didn't do it. The team did it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wow.
- 4:03Speaker 2: How special is that?
- 4:03Speaker 1: She deserved that.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Having a framed photo of a ticket from 2008.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I don't even have anything from 2008.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I'm not a keeper of things like that. Haley is.
- 4:13Speaker 2: She has memorabilia.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Yeah, you'd think I would be.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Yeah, you give me the vibe that you would have that.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I'll save stuff and then I purge. I do like
- 4:22Speaker 1: a big purge every few years. So nothing's lasting past
- 4:25Speaker 1: like three or four years.
- 4:26Speaker 2: You don't have anything from your John Mayer Shakira.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Definitely not the fan club. Musical Synergy Club.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Yeah, Musical Synergy.
- 4:33Speaker 1: No, no.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Nothing from that era?
- 4:36Speaker 1: Nothing from that era.
- 4:37Speaker 2: We could have used that just for. Just props. I know.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I wish I would have saved more stuff. But, like,
- 4:42Speaker 1: some of the stories were just, like, so cool. And then...
- 4:44Speaker 1: Were any of these people new fans?
- 4:47Speaker 2: Like, they had been recently converted since they got back together?
- 4:49Speaker 1: So that's what we were, like, looking for. We wanted just, like,
- 4:52Speaker 1: fans from, like, the OGs, and we wanted, like, new ones,
- 4:54Speaker 1: you know? There was way less new ones that we found.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Yeah, these people have been with... That's a... It's... So impressive.
- 5:02Speaker 2: These fans have been with them from the beginning.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Yeah. And they all like know each other too, which
- 5:07Speaker 1: is like cute. One that I interviewed the third night
- 5:09Speaker 1: was like, oh my gosh, I'm best friends with the
- 5:11Speaker 1: girl that brought her ticket yesterday. I was like, oh,
- 5:14Speaker 1: what are the odds?
- 5:15Speaker 2: Oh, they like know. Yeah. They're in like forums and stuff.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Did you meet any scrubbers?
- 5:20Speaker 1: So many.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Really?
- 5:22Speaker 1: Yes. So many scrubbers were there.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Did you interview any of them or were they? One.
- 5:28Speaker 1: One just happened to be somebody that we interviewed and
- 5:31Speaker 1: she was a scrubber. Wow.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:32Speaker 1: But I saw like a lot out there and we
- 5:34Speaker 1: took pictures. That's so fun. It was so fun. It
- 5:40Speaker 1: was honestly like the time of my life. Dream come true.
- 5:44Speaker 2: So what were your days like? like prepare show days,
- 5:48Speaker 2: show days.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Yeah. Sleep in. Cause I'm a rock star.
- 5:51Speaker 2: You're married to a food blogger now. So you had
- 5:55Speaker 2: to hit the ground running. Oh my gosh.
- 5:57Speaker 1: He was like, we have to try all these bagel places.
- 5:59Speaker 1: And I was like, babe, I have a show. I
- 6:01Speaker 1: have Madison square garden. Okay. Exactly. Like, and I, yeah, no,
- 6:08Speaker 1: thank you. But I, um, we, we would get up
- 6:11Speaker 1: like later. We were sleeping until like 10, 10 30.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Okay.
- 6:13Speaker 1: And then, uh, The first day, again, I feel like
- 6:18Speaker 1: was just like the most stressful because I like didn't
- 6:20Speaker 1: know what to expect. I was like nervous, all the things.
- 6:24Speaker 1: The next two days were like way chill. Like we
- 6:26Speaker 1: went like walking around New York, shopping, like eating, trying things.
- 6:33Speaker 1: And then I would get to the venue. I would
- 6:34Speaker 1: do like hair and makeup.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Your makeup was so good.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Thank you. Shout out, Cattle.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And in the when I was getting like my glam,
- 6:43Speaker 1: they would come in like the team and they would
- 6:45Speaker 1: go over like the video packages because basically it was
- 6:48Speaker 1: like it was like a cold open just to me.
- 6:50Speaker 1: And then I would like give a spiel and then
- 6:53Speaker 1: I would have fans there. I would interview three of them.
- 6:57Speaker 1: usually sets of three. And then I would throw it
- 6:59Speaker 1: to like a video package, which were changed. They changed
- 7:01Speaker 1: every night. So I just need to know like what
- 7:03Speaker 1: I was throwing to how many minutes I had. And
- 7:05Speaker 1: then the whole camera crew, we would like all move
- 7:07Speaker 1: to like a different section where the same thing cold
- 7:09Speaker 1: open to me, I would interview some fans throw to
- 7:12Speaker 1: like another video package and Every night they'd videoed them
- 7:16Speaker 1: arriving and they wanted me to like narrate that as
- 7:19Speaker 1: they were like walking in.
- 7:21Speaker 2: They're walking?
- 7:22Speaker 1: It's like 90 seconds of them just like walking down
- 7:24Speaker 1: the hall and I was like narrating it and I
- 7:26Speaker 1: was just like, here they come and they're matching like sweatsuits. Like,
- 7:30Speaker 1: what do they say?
- 7:31Speaker 2: Are you improv-ing this?
- 7:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:34Speaker 2: They're like you don't have to.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Cover every second of it but just like you know
- 7:37Speaker 1: yeah just narrate but you know me no dead air.
- 7:40Speaker 2: No no no no we don't like silence no did
- 7:43Speaker 2: um did you get to hang out with the guys
- 7:44Speaker 2: at all uh.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Yeah so so the first night they like came to
- 7:48Speaker 1: like my dressing room we like took a picture they
- 7:50Speaker 1: gave me a handwritten card thanking me for like always
- 7:53Speaker 1: being there for them which I thought was like so
- 7:56Speaker 1: nice so nice yeah um but it's very funny because
- 8:00Speaker 1: I feel like um, artists do that with like their openers.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You know what I mean? They like make sure they,
- 8:05Speaker 1: they like come over. And I was like, I feel
- 8:07Speaker 1: like that's me. Like I walked back, I was walking
- 8:11Speaker 1: my makeup girl to the elevator and Robbie took her
- 8:14Speaker 1: like all the way out to the, to like helping
- 8:16Speaker 1: her with her bags. So I was like walking back
- 8:18Speaker 1: to my dressing room and I just see all the
- 8:19Speaker 1: Jonas brothers like standing in front of my dressing room,
- 8:21Speaker 1: like waiting for me.
- 8:22Speaker 2: I was like, Oh, Like, sorry to keep you waiting.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Yeah, sorry. I need to walk Kara to the elevator.
- 8:28Speaker 1: So I saw them then, and then the first night
- 8:32Speaker 1: there was an after party, so we, like, all went
- 8:34Speaker 1: out after. And then the last night, too, there was
- 8:37Speaker 1: an after party. So I didn't really hang out with
- 8:38Speaker 1: them until, like, after the show. Gotcha. A little bit before, but, like,
- 8:44Speaker 1: you know, everybody's, like, in..
- 8:45Speaker 2: Yeah, they're in show mode.
- 8:47Speaker 1: They're... They're in show mode. I'm in show. Like I
- 8:51Speaker 1: was in show mode. I was like, I can't handle.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I can't handle like too much like excitement before. And
- 8:56Speaker 1: then by the time I finish, they're going on stage.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Oh, right.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:01Speaker 2: So did you get to watch the show? Yes. How
- 9:03Speaker 2: was it?
- 9:04Speaker 1: Amazing. Like. Have you been to a Jones Brothers show?
- 9:09Speaker 3: I have not.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I haven't either.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I've never been. You've never invited me.
- 9:15Speaker 1: You have to go when they come. Do you like
- 9:17Speaker 1: the OG songs?
- 9:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I like the Jonas Brothers.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Okay, so there is something about the crowd at Jonas
- 9:25Speaker 1: Brothers shows that is like, it's so electric.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Really?
- 9:30Speaker 1: Yes, Becca. You would be blown away if you saw
- 9:33Speaker 1: that people are going feral. Like, from top to bottom.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I'm not even joking.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Well, yeah, that's what I'm saying. These people have been
- 9:41Speaker 2: with them for... A long time.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Almost 20 years.
- 9:45Speaker 1: And the first night at the after party, Joe was
- 9:48Speaker 1: like telling me, he was like, I love when I
- 9:50Speaker 1: can like look down and I just like see you
- 9:51Speaker 1: just like jamming out. And I was like, when he,
- 9:54Speaker 1: taught like when they say they can see me I'm
- 9:56Speaker 1: like oh I'm like.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Oh you're giving it your all yeah.
- 10:01Speaker 1: I made sure I was in that same spot every night.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Has your ranking of the Joe bro stayed the same
- 10:07Speaker 2: yeah okay.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I I always am on the Kevin side of the
- 10:10Speaker 1: stage yeah like I'm like you know his viewpoint Nick
- 10:13Speaker 1: Joe's usually in the middle Kevin's usually on the right
- 10:15Speaker 1: and Nick's usually on the left so I'm always on
- 10:17Speaker 1: the side of the stage where Kevin is.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Like, intentionally? Like, you choose that? Yes.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. The last night Danielle was with me, like,
- 10:25Speaker 1: on Kevin's side. But Joe, like, goes, like, back and forth.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Danielle or Danielle or Danielle Jonas?
- 10:31Speaker 1: Danielle Jonas, yes. Kevin's wife.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Oh, whoa.
- 10:34Speaker 2: I thought you were talking about Danielle.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Oh, no, sorry. Kevin's wife, Danielle.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Danielle Jonas. Yes, yes, yes.
- 10:39Speaker 1: The Danielle Jonas.
- 10:41Speaker 2: What is your... What night was the best in terms
- 10:45Speaker 2: of energy?
- 10:46Speaker 1: So the first night was like amazing because it was
- 10:49Speaker 1: opening night.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:51Speaker 1: And so I think people were like, what? Like didn't really,
- 10:53Speaker 1: you know, know what to expect. So like there was
- 10:56Speaker 1: some good energy there. But then the last night, the
- 10:58Speaker 1: energy was like crazy.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Yeah. So they're on tour. Yeah.
- 11:04Speaker 1: This is a tour.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Hollywood Bowl in November.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Oh, I love the Hollywood Bowl.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Honda Center Anaheim in December.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I'll be standing next to Tanya on the right side
- 11:13Speaker 2: with Kevin Jonas viewpoint.
- 11:17Speaker 1: It is a magical experience.
- 11:22Speaker 2: I'm excited. I didn't know it was so electric.
- 11:26Speaker 1: It's like palpable.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Wait, you got to talk to Ashley. I, who's all,
- 11:29Speaker 2: who is like an OG.
- 11:31Speaker 1: This is the best part. So Ashley, I knew Ashley,
- 11:33Speaker 1: I was coming to the show and I was like,
- 11:35Speaker 1: I don't know if they wanted like public figures or
- 11:37Speaker 1: if they just wanted like fans, but I'm like, Ashley
- 11:39Speaker 1: is a fan, but she's also a public figure.
- 11:42Speaker 2: I would say she's first a fan. And then they
- 11:45Speaker 2: were like, okay, yeah, like, sure. Go ahead.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Like, you know, put her wherever you want her. So
- 11:49Speaker 1: I was like, okay. So we're, like, I'm interviewing Ashley,
- 11:52Speaker 1: and they kept telling me to, like, stretch it because
- 11:54Speaker 1: I guess the crowd at Madison Square Garden was, like, cheering,
- 11:57Speaker 1: going crazy for her. For Ashley?
- 11:58Speaker 2: Oh, that's so cool. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Wow.
- 12:00Speaker 2: So fun. I love that you all have that.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I felt like I talked to her for a really
- 12:03Speaker 1: long time, and they were, like, yeah, they kept telling
- 12:04Speaker 1: me to stretch, and I was, like, I wonder why. Like,
- 12:06Speaker 1: what was, maybe something was going wrong. They were, like, no,
- 12:08Speaker 1: the crowd was just loving it.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Wow.
- 12:09Speaker 2: She's, like, the leader of the fandom.
- 12:12Speaker 1: And, like, she's, you know, Rhode Island housewife. I feel
- 12:16Speaker 1: like East Coast is, like, her jam.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:18Speaker 1: She was, like, in her hood.
- 12:19Speaker 2: She was the Second opening act. Exactly.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Exactly. But like, honestly, I love those guys so much
- 12:25Speaker 1: and I love their team. And like, I just have
- 12:28Speaker 1: such fond memories of there's like specific, especially like certain songs.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Like when Nick was doing his solo thing and DNCE
- 12:36Speaker 1: was doing their thing, I was like a roadie for them.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Like I was, I remember that I was everywhere. And like,
- 12:44Speaker 1: I was thanking them for like having me do the
- 12:47Speaker 1: opening and I was like, you guys could have asked
- 12:48Speaker 1: anybody to come and do this. They're like, but there's
- 12:50Speaker 1: not history there.
- 12:50Speaker 2: And I was like, It's basically the band's back together
- 12:55Speaker 2: and you're part of the band.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I feel like a Jonas sister.
- 12:58Speaker 2: You're the Jonas sister.
- 12:59Speaker 1: If they had a sister, it would have to be me.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Tatiana.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Exactly. Robbie, like, is a new Jonas fan. Like, he didn't, like,
- 13:09Speaker 1: grow up on the Jonas Brothers.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Oh, he didn't grow up on Camp Rock?
- 13:11Speaker 1: He did not grow up on Camp Rock. But the
- 13:13Speaker 1: way they've embraced him, too, like, They are so sweet
- 13:17Speaker 1: to him and they treat him like family too. And
- 13:19Speaker 1: like Kevin like loves Robbie, like genuinely like loves Robbie.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Everyone loves Robbie. I know.
- 13:23Speaker 2: I know.
- 13:24Speaker 1: But it's like sweet. It just like makes me so happy.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Well, I'm so proud of you. It was, it was,
- 13:30Speaker 2: I always know you're, I guess I haven't seen you
- 13:32Speaker 2: do something like that in a minute.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Where you're like in the crowd like that.
- 13:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I guess I've maybe never seen you, but I feel
- 13:38Speaker 2: like at I Heart Stuff, you'll be in the crowd,
- 13:40Speaker 2: like you'll do fan stuff, but. I was like, gosh,
- 13:43Speaker 2: she's so good at this. Like, it just felt like
- 13:45Speaker 2: a like it felt like it had been planned for
- 13:47Speaker 2: a long time and I knew how fast it came together.
- 13:49Speaker 2: So I was like, wow, she's such a pro.
- 13:52Speaker 1: I appreciate that because, you know, when like you're the
- 13:54Speaker 1: one doing it, you feel like I felt like I
- 13:56Speaker 1: messed up so much and like I feel like I
- 13:59Speaker 1: use a lot of crutch words. You know what I mean?
- 14:02Speaker 2: What's a crutch?
- 14:02Speaker 1: Like things that I would just always say or like
- 14:04Speaker 1: come back to.
- 14:05Speaker 4: Oh, right.
- 14:06Speaker 1: And, and, and the way that I moved in between
- 14:08Speaker 1: the fans, I'm like, I could have done that sharper.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. Yeah. They're not, they're not noticing that.
- 14:13Speaker 1: And I also wish I would have set the scene.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Like when we gave away like the floor seats, I
- 14:16Speaker 1: wish I would have set the scene a little bit better,
- 14:18Speaker 1: you know, cause I asked them where do you know
- 14:20Speaker 1: where your seats night? And they would say like, Oh,
- 14:22Speaker 1: in the 300 section. And I would say, Oh, well
- 14:24Speaker 1: the Jonas brothers want you to see him closer. And
- 14:26Speaker 1: I would like give them floor seats, you know, but
- 14:28Speaker 1: I wish I would have like set, set the stage
- 14:29Speaker 1: a little bit better. Like, This is only your second
- 14:32Speaker 1: Jonas Brothers show. You weren't able to afford tickets before.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Now you're all the way in the nosebleeds. How about
- 14:37Speaker 1: the floor?
- 14:38Speaker 2: What about the people who are not getting the floor
- 14:40Speaker 2: seat giveaway, though? They're just like, dang.
- 14:43Speaker 1: No, I think they're happy for them.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Yeah, no, people are happy for people. It's like that
- 14:48Speaker 2: should be me, but also happy for you. Yeah. Right.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I'm sure you were amazing. Everything is hindsight, but I'm
- 14:56Speaker 2: sure everyone felt your excitement.
- 14:58Speaker 1: And then do you want to know the topper of
- 15:00Speaker 1: the whole thing?
- 15:06Speaker 3: When we come back, the topper of the whole thing.
- 15:08Speaker 2: The topper.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Well, that was probably a really bad way of putting it.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Well, we'll find out.
- 15:34Speaker 2: The topper.
- 15:35Speaker 1: So the topper.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Is this the topper of the whole three days? No.
- 15:39Speaker 1: So I probably teased it the wrong way.
- 15:41Speaker 2: The kicker.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Oh, the kicker is different than the topper. Yeah, the
- 15:47Speaker 1: kicker is much different than the topper.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Oh, no. What's the kicker?
- 15:53Speaker 1: I'm so excited.
- 15:54Speaker 2: I'm ready.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Gearing up. Guess what comes Thursday morning?
- 16:02Speaker 3: I have a guess.
- 16:03Speaker 1: What?
- 16:04Speaker 3: Menstruation.
- 16:05Speaker 1: My period.
- 16:08Speaker 2: That'll do it.
- 16:09Speaker 1: My period. The three days I'm opening for the Jonas
- 16:13Speaker 1: Brothers are the three days where she comes fast and ferocious.
- 16:20Speaker 1: What are the odds? Out of all 28 days of
- 16:24Speaker 1: my cycle..
- 16:25Speaker 2: What are the odds? Because you're pretty on the nose.
- 16:28Speaker 2: I'm not. So it is really what are the odds.
- 16:31Speaker 2: But for you, what are the odds? Like, was that
- 16:34Speaker 2: the day it was supposed to or did she come early?
- 16:37Speaker 1: I mean, I'm usually like one or two days off.
- 16:38Speaker 1: It was supposed to come.
- 16:39Speaker 2: It could have been a little delayed. It could have
- 16:41Speaker 2: been Friday.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I would have if she was playing nice. She
- 16:44Speaker 1: was playing really nice. She would never have come at all.
- 16:47Speaker 1: If I'm being honest. True. If she was playing nice,
- 16:50Speaker 1: she would have come on Friday. But the fact that
- 16:52Speaker 1: I had it all three nights and then the minute
- 16:55Speaker 1: I wake up Sunday morning, she's gone. She's gone.
- 16:58Speaker 2: She ran her course.
- 16:59Speaker 1: She ran her course. I was like.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Wow.
- 17:02Speaker 4: Wow.
- 17:03Speaker 1: But I will say this is the first period that
- 17:05Speaker 1: I got where I wasn't like crying all day because
- 17:07Speaker 1: I couldn't.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Yeah. Did it feel like it? You know, when I
- 17:13Speaker 2: get my period, when I'm doing some like when I
- 17:16Speaker 2: have a distraction, it helps me as opposed to laying
- 17:19Speaker 2: around because I'm mentally and physically like active. And they
- 17:24Speaker 2: say you should be a little more active when you're
- 17:26Speaker 2: on your period or whatever. So did it help having that?
- 17:30Speaker 2: I guess, but like, because also the adrenaline of doing it,
- 17:34Speaker 2: especially the first night, you would think that would be like,
- 17:37Speaker 2: you can't even focus on that because you're, you're opening.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Yeah. But then I'm like feeling puffy and I'm like,
- 17:43Speaker 1: Everything hurts when I like tie it around my waist.
- 17:46Speaker 2: It's even more impressive what you did. Really, truly. Day
- 17:50Speaker 2: one and two are hell.
- 17:53Speaker 1: And usually by day two, I'm popping Motrin every five hours.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Like I am in pain. I am like irritable. And
- 17:59Speaker 1: I was like the opposite of those two things.
- 18:01Speaker 2: No, the JoBros.
- 18:04Speaker 1: They pulled it out of me. They really pulled me
- 18:08Speaker 1: out of a dark place and brought me, they brought
- 18:09Speaker 1: me to heaven.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Is that their song? Oh, me.
- 18:14Speaker 1: I love that.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Were you there? Did you watch the show the night.
- 18:17Speaker 1: That Joe messed up the sign?
- 18:21Speaker 2: No. Oh. Joe said, like, I smell a hot dog. Like, he's, like,
- 18:25Speaker 2: in the middle of a song. He said, I think,
- 18:27Speaker 2: I smell a hot dog.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I don't think I, there was, like, bits and pieces
- 18:30Speaker 1: that I missed because I, like, was going to the bathroom.
- 18:31Speaker 2: I know, yeah, I didn't know it was the night that,
- 18:33Speaker 2: but their, Nick and Kevin's reactions to Joe are so
- 18:38Speaker 2: funny to me. Like, you can tell they just never know.
- 18:41Speaker 1: What is going to come out of his mouth.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Yeah, what he's going to do or say.
- 18:44Speaker 1: One of the nights, there was a sign. Somebody was
- 18:47Speaker 1: holding a sign. I didn't see the sign, obviously, right?
- 18:50Speaker 1: Because they were, like, on the other side. Yeah. And
- 18:53Speaker 1: you see Joe grab her phone to FaceTime her husband
- 18:56Speaker 1: to tell them that they're expecting baby number two. So cute, right?
- 19:01Speaker 1: So Joe picks up the phone. This kid answers. And
- 19:03Speaker 1: he's like, hey. And then he asks the mom, like, hey,
- 19:06Speaker 1: can I show everybody that you're a kid? She's like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey,
- 19:09Speaker 1: is your dad there?
- 19:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:11Speaker 1: So then pass the phone. It's another kid. He's like,
- 19:15Speaker 1: you're her son? He's like, yeah. Is your dad there?
- 19:20Speaker 1: Everybody's kind of like confused at that point, right?
- 19:23Speaker 2: This is during the show.
- 19:24Speaker 1: During the show, in the middle of the show. Then, yeah,
- 19:27Speaker 1: I'll give you to my dad. Passes the phone to
- 19:29Speaker 1: the dad. The dad hangs up. Joe's like, he hung up.
- 19:31Speaker 1: So he's like, I'm going to film a video. So
- 19:33Speaker 1: he films a video. He pulls out the girl's phone.
- 19:34Speaker 1: He films a video. Hey, I just wanted to call
- 19:36Speaker 1: and let you know your wife is pregnant with baby
- 19:38Speaker 1: number two. The crowd just, okay. Cut to, he posts
- 19:44Speaker 1: on TikTok that he read the sign wrong. And the
- 19:47Speaker 1: sign said something like, our husbands don't know about round two,
- 19:51Speaker 1: meaning they saw the concert two nights in a row.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Can you help us tell them? I'm like, who makes
- 19:59Speaker 1: a sign that says my husband doesn't know I'm going
- 20:02Speaker 1: to the Jonas Brothers for two nights in a row.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Can you help me tell him? Like, I understand Joe
- 20:07Speaker 1: reading that wrong.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Being on stage and seeing it in the midst of
- 20:13Speaker 2: the show. Trying to do something cool and nice for someone.
- 20:18Speaker 2: And then announces baby number two. Yeah.
- 20:21Speaker 1: When there's clearly two children that answer the phone.
- 20:27Speaker 2: He's like, and you're also a child of this woman? Yeah, so, okay.
- 20:33Speaker 2: I bet he won't be doing that again. Yeah. A
- 20:35Speaker 2: live FaceTime. But I like it.
- 20:38Speaker 3: I hope he does.
- 20:38Speaker 1: I did, too.
- 20:38Speaker 2: On the run.
- 20:39Speaker 1: I did, too.
- 20:39Speaker 2: On the go.
- 20:41Speaker 1: So, anyways, I'm just, like, really, like, riding high.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Yeah, like, should we pitch you to just be on
- 20:47Speaker 2: tour with him?
- 20:47Speaker 4: I tried.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Have a tour with us?
- 20:49Speaker 1: I literally tried. I was like, do you guys need
- 20:51Speaker 1: someone else? Like, someone, like... For the tour?
- 20:54Speaker 2: What are they doing, though? They have openers.
- 20:55Speaker 1: They have openers for the tour. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Actual musicians?
- 20:58Speaker 1: Unfortunately, yes.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Oh, that's too bad.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Don't disrespect. Have you heard her work? Don't disrespect her
- 21:03Speaker 2: like that.
- 21:03Speaker 3: I'm a big fan of her work.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Throw some respect on that.
- 21:05Speaker 3: I don't mean actual. Other musicians, I guess. People are
- 21:09Speaker 3: actually going to play music, which you didn't do.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:11Speaker 1: No, I did not do that. Not this time.
- 21:12Speaker 2: I can't explain to you what it did to my soul.
- 21:20Speaker 1: It like brought me, it like made me feel like
- 21:21Speaker 1: me again. I've been feeling like not like me.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Did you tell them that?
- 21:27Speaker 1: Yes and no. Like I didn't really get into the
- 21:29Speaker 1: nitty gritty of like. Well, yeah. Life's been rough.
- 21:33Speaker 2: No, but that's a really nice sentiment. Yeah.
- 21:37Speaker 1: And like the fact that they like reiterated to me
- 21:40Speaker 1: so many times of like you were the perfect, you
- 21:42Speaker 1: were the one we wanted. Like we're so grateful you
- 21:44Speaker 1: said yes. We're so grateful that you're here.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Like. Yeah.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Just makes you feel so good. appreciate it I think
- 21:51Speaker 1: they I assume they're like that with their whole team.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Well yeah I feel like they've had the same team
- 21:56Speaker 2: for a long time which is a testament to them
- 21:59Speaker 2: yeah I also think it's it really is amazing that
- 22:03Speaker 2: out of all the people and the like openers and
- 22:06Speaker 2: who could do that that like they're like we want
- 22:09Speaker 2: you like that's just such a testament to you and
- 22:13Speaker 2: not only who you are but how good you are
- 22:15Speaker 2: what you.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Do thank you I appreciate your help with all the
- 22:17Speaker 1: outfits Did I help? Yes, very much so. Yes. If
- 22:21Speaker 1: I would have listened to Robbie on some of those things,
- 22:23Speaker 1: I would have looked like.
- 22:24Speaker 2: I was a little like, whoa, those are some tall
- 22:28Speaker 2: heels and some short shorts.
- 22:30Speaker 1: It started to get really weird at one point. I
- 22:32Speaker 1: was like, I got to go to bed.
- 22:34Speaker 2: What was he going for? What's his fashion inspo for you? Right.
- 22:37Speaker 1: He's like rock star, rock star. You're like, oh yeah.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Like MSG. And I was like, babe, I'm wearing merch.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Like I'm wearing Jonas Brothers merch. Like it's not very
- 22:46Speaker 1: rock star, you know? Like I'm not like on tour.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Like I get it. But like Tanya does not equal
- 22:51Speaker 1: rock star. Like I kept, I think he kept wanting
- 22:54Speaker 1: me to think like, like I'm a rock star.
- 22:56Speaker 2: You're the opening act.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:57Speaker 1: And I'm like, I'm just, I'm not respectfully.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Well, I feel like he was getting into some heated
- 23:03Speaker 2: debates over the L.A. versus New York bagel competition. He's
- 23:08Speaker 2: really passionate.
- 23:08Speaker 1: He's so touchy with food.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Well, people are very passionate about their local spots. Well, representation,
- 23:17Speaker 2: I guess. So, you know, people in L.A. have their
- 23:20Speaker 2: things that they think are the best, and then people
- 23:22Speaker 2: everywhere else have their things that they think are the best. Like,
- 23:24Speaker 2: pizza's a really touchy subject.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Yeah, very touchy.
- 23:28Speaker 2: But he's really good at documenting himself. And he's honest.
- 23:32Speaker 2: He's not trying to be like, oh, it's good.
- 23:35Speaker 1: No, he's not Switzerland. No.
- 23:38Speaker 2: He's not trying to get deals.
- 23:40Speaker 1: No, he's not.
- 23:41Speaker 2: He's just giving the people what they want. No, no, no.
- 23:44Speaker 2: We'll see if that changes as the money comes in.
- 23:48Speaker 2: The offers.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Wait, you went and saw Noah Kahn this week.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Life-changing. He's amazing. He really is so amazing. Like,
- 23:58Speaker 2: his lyrics and what... The music that he writes and
- 24:02Speaker 2: what he can put into words that is so complicated.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Because he writes a lot about, like, family dynamics and
- 24:07Speaker 2: relationship dynamics and stuff that's hard to... Like, I would
- 24:13Speaker 2: imagine put lyric, you know, he just puts the lyrics
- 24:16Speaker 2: in his songs are so like, wow. And Haley was like,
- 24:19Speaker 2: everyone in this stadium has can relate to these songs,
- 24:22Speaker 2: which is amazing and validating. It's like you're listening to
- 24:28Speaker 2: a whole stadium of people sing these like devastating songs,
- 24:32Speaker 2: but they're so real.
- 24:33Speaker 1: I know. Some songs are really sad.
- 24:34Speaker 2: I know. But he's he's so funny because he doesn't
- 24:37Speaker 2: talk a ton during a show. But when he does,
- 24:39Speaker 2: he's like self-deprecating and funny.
- 24:41Speaker 1: So.
- 24:42Speaker 2: The show was amazing. We got to see Gigi Perez before,
- 24:45Speaker 2: and she's incredible, and her team's amazing. It's like all
- 24:50Speaker 2: her family, and so they're wonderful, and we got to
- 24:53Speaker 2: say hi to them. Yeah, it was awesome. San Diego
- 24:57Speaker 2: was so fun. We did so much. We were so
- 25:01Speaker 2: tired when we got back. It was crazy. When I
- 25:06Speaker 2: lived in San Diego, my best friend, his name is Kang,
- 25:11Speaker 2: and We did everything together. Like we went to the movies,
- 25:15Speaker 2: we played basketball, anything that was just random, spontaneous. I
- 25:18Speaker 2: did it with King. And then when I moved up
- 25:21Speaker 2: to L.A., you know, just naturally we would talk here
- 25:24Speaker 2: and there. But he started dating his now wife. And,
- 25:27Speaker 2: you know, we've talked about this a lot on the podcast.
- 25:29Speaker 2: But when it's a man and a woman and you
- 25:32Speaker 2: have a really close friendship and they start dating someone
- 25:36Speaker 2: and naturally you just kind of respect, you know. Um,
- 25:40Speaker 2: but I had also moved up to LA at that time.
- 25:42Speaker 2: So it just naturally, we, you know, we'll talk here
- 25:45Speaker 2: and there. I follow them on Instagram, keep up with them,
- 25:47Speaker 2: but I haven't seen him in over eight years. And
- 25:50Speaker 2: so it was so fun. Cause Haley and I met
- 25:52Speaker 2: up with them at the beach and we got to say, Hey,
- 25:55Speaker 2: and see him and meet his family. And it was
- 25:57Speaker 2: just like the best. I was like, why we can
- 26:00Speaker 2: never go this long without seeing each other again. His
- 26:02Speaker 2: wife is amazing. And, um, it was just a fun,
- 26:06Speaker 2: it was a fun weekend. We love San Diego.
- 26:08Speaker 4: It was awesome.
- 26:09Speaker 1: How long did it take you to get down there?
- 26:10Speaker 2: Like three hours.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Yeah. But it was..
- 26:13Speaker 2: It went by fast. Like, I never felt like we
- 26:14Speaker 2: were sleeping.
- 26:15Speaker 1: You probably went on, like, a not populated time. You probably, like,
- 26:17Speaker 1: tried to avoid..
- 26:18Speaker 2: We went at noon on Friday.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Gorgeous.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Really?
- 26:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:21Speaker 2: I was, like, shocked we got down.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Noon, you're fine. Three and after, you're screwed.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Yeah. But the wedding was so fun. And our friends
- 26:29Speaker 2: that got married, Danny and Nicole, they're just... so fun
- 26:33Speaker 2: and funky and have like the coolest style and the,
- 26:36Speaker 2: where they got married was beautiful. The reception was amazing.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Made us go like, oh, they had a live, they
- 26:43Speaker 2: had a DJ and then they had a live drummer
- 26:45Speaker 2: and a saxophone player. So they were playing all, it
- 26:49Speaker 2: felt like a live band with a DJ sound and
- 26:52Speaker 2: it was so fun and it had everyone on the
- 26:55Speaker 2: dance floor the whole time. Yeah.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Music is key. You have to nail music.
- 26:59Speaker 3: You know, we had one time in Milwaukee, sorry, this
- 27:01Speaker 3: is a bit off topic, but we were at an
- 27:04Speaker 3: outdoor restaurant patio area. And sometimes you'll have a musician
- 27:07Speaker 3: out there playing music. It was a drummer.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Playing to a DJ?
- 27:12Speaker 3: Playing music. He would play music and he would just
- 27:14Speaker 3: drum along with the music. I found it entertaining.
- 27:18Speaker 2: The live drum hits the beat in a way that
- 27:21Speaker 2: you realize that that is kind of where the live
- 27:24Speaker 2: band feels... Like what you're hearing from.
- 27:26Speaker 3: A live band. That's what makes it feel like a
- 27:27Speaker 3: live band. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 27:29Speaker 2: And then the saxophone player, I was like, you know,
- 27:32Speaker 2: I used to play the saxophone.
- 27:33Speaker 1: In elementary school.
- 27:34Speaker 2: You were like, could have been me. No, I was like,
- 27:37Speaker 2: could have been me.
- 27:38Speaker 1: That's something when we start planning, we, when we start
- 27:40Speaker 1: planning your wedding, when you start planning your wedding, priority
- 27:46Speaker 1: to the music.
- 27:47Speaker 2: No, we definitely took notes because everyone crowded the dance floor. We...
- 27:53Speaker 2: Like a Prayer by Madonna came on and it had
- 27:56Speaker 2: the live drums with the sax and it was like
- 27:58Speaker 2: core memory moment.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:00Speaker 2: It was so fun.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:02Speaker 2: So that was really awesome. And yeah, this week was
- 28:06Speaker 2: just kind of recovering from our weekend.
- 28:11Speaker 1: I found myself, I'm like, I'm hosting a 30 minute
- 28:15Speaker 1: pre-show and I was exhausted every day the next day.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I'm like, I can't imagine being an actual artist that's performing.
- 28:22Speaker 1: They were like up there for three hours every night
- 28:25Speaker 1: and you're doing it back to back night. I would
- 28:27Speaker 1: be tired.
- 28:29Speaker 2: I think you, I think yes, like 1000%, but I
- 28:32Speaker 2: also think you have to remember they're getting energized being
- 28:35Speaker 2: up there. Like they're getting what you said. It's electric
- 28:38Speaker 2: up there. They're getting this adrenaline high. That's like, fueling
- 28:43Speaker 2: them so every night they know that they're gonna get
- 28:45Speaker 2: that high even though.
- 28:46Speaker 1: They're exhausted like they're like going in we're.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Gonna get energized where you're kind of having to you're
- 28:52Speaker 2: having to think.
- 28:53Speaker 1: And work in the 30 minutes i'm like thinking and
- 28:56Speaker 1: working but then for the three hours after i'm partying
- 28:59Speaker 1: right which is also exhausting yeah.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Uh work party sleep eat Work, party, sleep, eat.
- 29:07Speaker 1: That's the life of a rock star.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Yeah, no one understands that. Far and few understand, you know,
- 29:15Speaker 2: what you navigate as a rock star.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Speaking of.
- 29:19Speaker 2: What?
- 29:20Speaker 1: I didn't tell you who I met this weekend.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Who? I mean, could this work as a..
- 29:28Speaker 3: Absolutely it could.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Who did you meet?
- 29:31Speaker 3: Are you building it up too much?
- 29:33Speaker 2: No, am I going to be excited?
- 29:35Speaker 1: Oh, I think so.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Do I know?
- 29:39Speaker 1: You know. So don't guess, Mark. I will not. And
- 29:41Speaker 1: don't give anything away because I want you to try
- 29:42Speaker 1: and guess who it is.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Oh, like 20 question style?
- 29:44Speaker 2: Yes. It's kind of like a celebrity guess too. All right.
- 29:48Speaker 2: We'll be back. We're back. We're back. Okay.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Becca Tilly. I'll set the scene for you so that
- 30:12Speaker 1: you can maybe guess.
- 30:14Speaker 2: It.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Okay. So there was a restaurant that Robbie really wanted
- 30:17Speaker 1: to go to in New York. Okay. So we left
- 30:20Speaker 1: the concert a little bit early one night to get
- 30:22Speaker 1: to go to this dinner spot. We're at dinner. It's
- 30:26Speaker 1: a cool spot in New York City. I look over
- 30:29Speaker 1: to my right. There they are.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Yay.
- 30:34Speaker 1: I said they as to not give a gender.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Oh, I see. Okay.
- 30:37Speaker 1: They do have a gender. They are not they them.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Is it a woman? Yes. Is she a singer? No.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Is she an actor? No.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Actress?
- 30:47Speaker 2: Is she a reality star? Yes. Is she from Love Island?
- 30:53Speaker 1: Yes.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Oh.
- 30:54Speaker 1: How the hell does Becca do this?
- 30:56Speaker 3: She's very good at these games.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Was it Maura? No.
- 31:00Speaker 1: No. That would have required a selfie, I would have
- 31:04Speaker 1: to say.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Was it Leah?
- 31:07Speaker 1: No.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Was it someone from the U.S., Love Island?
- 31:10Speaker 1: Yes. Hmm.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Who would you care about? Who would I care about?
- 31:14Speaker 1: Yeah, think about it. Mark, do you remember now?
- 31:19Speaker 2: Yes.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Okay.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Was it someone from this past season? Sure.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Sure.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Well, not technically. Technically.
- 31:29Speaker 3: I would hone in on her phrasing of her response.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Was it Sierra Miller? Or Tuffy?
- 31:37Speaker 3: No.
- 31:37Speaker 1: But you're on the right track.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Oh, I'm on the right track? Yes! Oh, that's really exciting. Exciting.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Okay, thank you. So I spot her. And you know
- 31:47Speaker 1: what's so weird? You know she has that boyfriend? Mm-hmm.
- 31:49Speaker 1: So I spot the boyfriend when we were walking into
- 31:51Speaker 1: the restaurant and I was like, I knew I knew
- 31:53Speaker 1: his face.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I don't know that I know him that well. I
- 31:55Speaker 2: don't know him. He just has a very distinct hairstyle.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Oh, I see.
- 31:59Speaker 2: He has a very distinct hairstyle. Okay.
- 32:00Speaker 1: I was like, I know I recognize this guy, but like..
- 32:04Speaker 2: Seen that hair.
- 32:04Speaker 1: I've seen that hair. I didn't realize it as we're
- 32:07Speaker 1: eating and like we're in the middle of like our appetizer.
- 32:10Speaker 1: And then I was like, oh my gosh, that's Ariana Maddox.
- 32:12Speaker 1: That's how I know that guy. Like, I was like,
- 32:14Speaker 1: that's how I knew that guy. It was the guy.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Okay.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Um so then I spent the next like 15 minutes
- 32:18Speaker 1: with Robbie debating if I should like go up and
- 32:20Speaker 1: say hi because I could tell we were further along
- 32:23Speaker 1: in our meal than they were so I was like
- 32:25Speaker 1: well and they're on our way to the door so
- 32:26Speaker 1: I was like we'll pass by their table as we're
- 32:28Speaker 1: leaving so like do I say hi or do I
- 32:30Speaker 1: just like walk by and then I thought what would
- 32:34Speaker 1: Tanya do.
- 32:35Speaker 2: If not now.
- 32:37Speaker 1: When when if not you who meanwhile I'm wearing my
- 32:42Speaker 1: Jonas Brothers merch. And Robbie, Robbie wore merch only one
- 32:46Speaker 1: night and this was the night that he was wearing
- 32:47Speaker 1: like their faces. So we just looked like, like we're
- 32:50Speaker 1: like fully decked out and like Jonas Brothers merch. But
- 32:54Speaker 1: that was my way in because remember how she was
- 32:57Speaker 1: on their podcast a couple of weeks ago and they
- 32:59Speaker 1: asked the question from me.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Kismet.
- 33:02Speaker 3: Kismet.
- 33:03Speaker 2: I thought so too.
- 33:04Speaker 1: So I was like, I'm going to say hi. I'm
- 33:07Speaker 1: going to say hi. I'm going to do it. Robbie's like, good.
- 33:08Speaker 1: I think you should. We're walking out and, uh, I'm like, hi.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Such a big fan. Nice to meet you. And then
- 33:16Speaker 1: I was like, you were on the Jonas Brothers podcast.
- 33:22Speaker 1: And this is where I felt like such a dork.
- 33:25Speaker 1: I was like, I asked a fan question.
- 33:29Speaker 2: She's like, big fan energy from this girl. The shirt on.
- 33:33Speaker 1: I was like, I'm the one that asked the fan question.
- 33:38Speaker 1: And I said it.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Is she just smiling at you? Yeah, it's like this.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Keep going.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Yes. I was like, I asked the fan question about
- 33:50Speaker 1: if you get annoyed that they bring in Andy Cohen
- 33:53Speaker 1: because I think you can handle it on your own.
- 33:54Speaker 1: And she was like, oh, yeah. Even if she didn't remember,
- 33:57Speaker 1: she totally played it off like she remembered. And she
- 33:59Speaker 1: was like, oh, yeah. Like, how funny. I was like, yeah, actually,
- 34:03Speaker 1: we're just at the Jonas Brothers show. And Robbie's like,
- 34:06Speaker 1: she's opening for the Jonas Brothers. And I was like, oh,
- 34:08Speaker 1: my God, it's too good. These poor other people at
- 34:12Speaker 1: the table are probably like, these weirdos have got to go. Like,
- 34:16Speaker 1: can you wrap this up, Ariana? Like, can you wrap
- 34:19Speaker 1: this up? I'm sure it was great. They were with
- 34:22Speaker 1: other people, yes. And then I didn't know if I should, like,
- 34:24Speaker 1: introduce myself to them. But, like, nobody cares to meet me.
- 34:28Speaker 2: You know what I mean? And then it felt rude.
- 34:29Speaker 2: I hate that inner dialogue. Yeah.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Like, what do you do?
- 34:35Speaker 2: I well, it just depends. I would probably handle things
- 34:38Speaker 2: differently depending on the night and who I was talking
- 34:40Speaker 2: to out of nerves. But I would probably introduce myself,
- 34:44Speaker 2: you know.
- 34:45Speaker 1: A friend of mine. Like if it were like a
- 34:47Speaker 1: distant friend that was having dinner with people, I probably
- 34:50Speaker 1: would introduce myself. But it was like, she's a stranger.
- 34:52Speaker 1: She doesn't know me.
- 34:54Speaker 2: But if someone came up to to you and I
- 34:57Speaker 2: was there and they're like, I love you on the
- 34:58Speaker 2: radio show or I don't know, I don't know. Can't
- 35:02Speaker 2: think of it.
- 35:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:04Speaker 1: It's tough.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Well, I think there's no wrong way of doing it. Like,
- 35:07Speaker 2: I don't think you were rude for not introducing yourself,
- 35:09Speaker 2: and I don't think you'd be weird for introducing yourself.
- 35:12Speaker 2: So that's a lesson to everyone.
- 35:13Speaker 3: But your options are ignore everyone else at the table. Yeah.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Or bore them by introducing yourself to everyone else.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Yeah, it's all bad, bad.
- 35:20Speaker 3: So would the argument be to maybe don't approach someone
- 35:23Speaker 3: when they're at the table with a bunch of other people?
- 35:25Speaker 1: Mark.
- 35:26Speaker 3: I'm just, I'm asking a question. It's just a question.
- 35:28Speaker 2: I think that there, I see both sides of that argument.
- 35:33Speaker 1: I do.
- 35:34Speaker 2: But I also am like... You didn't ask for a photo.
- 35:38Speaker 2: You didn't, like... I think you just..
- 35:40Speaker 1: If it were a little bit... If it were a
- 35:44Speaker 1: smidge lighter in that restaurant, I would have asked for
- 35:47Speaker 1: a selfie.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Do you think if they were just them two, you
- 35:50Speaker 2: would have asked for a selfie?
- 35:50Speaker 1: A hundred percent.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Oh, the other people.
- 35:53Speaker 1: And the restaurant was just, like, very dark. So, like,
- 35:55Speaker 1: the last thing I'm going to do is, like, have
- 35:56Speaker 1: some sort of flash going off.
- 35:58Speaker 2: You bring out your selfie light. Yeah.
- 36:00Speaker 3: And, like..
- 36:03Speaker 2: Honestly, there is a time where you definitely would have
- 36:06Speaker 2: done that.
- 36:06Speaker 1: I've done that before.
- 36:07Speaker 2: And you have.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, if it was a smidge lighter and they
- 36:13Speaker 1: were just the two of them, I would have asked
- 36:14Speaker 1: for a photo.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:16Speaker 1: It felt mature of me not to.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Well, that's what I'm saying. I think there's a way
- 36:21Speaker 2: of saying, like, I'm such a fan of you and
- 36:24Speaker 2: telling your story, your connection with your merch on that
- 36:27Speaker 2: connects everything. And then... And then I think asking for
- 36:31Speaker 2: a photo is just a..
- 36:33Speaker 1: A hair too far.
- 36:34Speaker 2: But, like, personally, if a scrubber came up while I
- 36:39Speaker 2: was eating dinner, I wouldn't care at all. Me too.
- 36:41Speaker 2: But I also, I think those people get it way
- 36:43Speaker 2: more than we get it. So, I don't know.
- 36:47Speaker 1: It's tough to put yourself in those shoes.
- 36:49Speaker 2: I think it depends on your personality.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:50Speaker 2: So..
- 36:51Speaker 1: Because you're right. If a scrubber came up to me
- 36:52Speaker 1: while I was eating, I would totally take a picture
- 36:54Speaker 1: and not even care. I know.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Me neither.
- 36:55Speaker 1: I wouldn't even bat an eyelash.
- 36:56Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
- 36:57Speaker 1: But if 30 people came up to me while I
- 36:59Speaker 1: was having dinner... I'd probably be like, girl's got to eat.
- 37:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:03Speaker 2: My food's cold. Yeah. Yeah. I think it just, it
- 37:06Speaker 2: depends on the environment, the situation.
- 37:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Well, I think we're friends now. But I'm proud of
- 37:12Speaker 1: you for saying hi. I didn't tell her about the podcast,
- 37:14Speaker 1: our podcast.
- 37:17Speaker 2: That could have been a perfect time for you to
- 37:18Speaker 2: talk about the podcast as you were talking about her
- 37:20Speaker 2: being on the Jonas Brothers podcast and you opening for
- 37:23Speaker 2: the Jonas Brothers.
- 37:24Speaker 1: I know. I just felt, I felt a little wordy
- 37:27Speaker 1: already because. I was a fan.
- 37:31Speaker 2: I also asked about Nick and Alandria.
- 37:33Speaker 1: And I also, too, have a podcast. Could you come
- 37:38Speaker 1: on that?
- 37:38Speaker 2: No, you did a good job. I won't hold it
- 37:40Speaker 2: against you.
- 37:41Speaker 1: Thanks. Fun, though, right?
- 37:44Speaker 2: Really fun. Great sighting.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Fun sighting.
- 37:47Speaker 1: And we told them what dessert we got. We're like,
- 37:49Speaker 1: you have to get the..
- 37:50Speaker 2: Cool, cool. We're not eating dessert.
- 37:55Speaker 1: They're like, yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll get it. Cool, cool.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Why do I turn into such a, like, ding-dong sometimes?
- 38:06Speaker 2: You don't. I think we overthink things in our head
- 38:09Speaker 2: more than how they appear on the outside. Like, I
- 38:12Speaker 2: think in your head you were thinking you were being
- 38:14Speaker 2: a ding-dong.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Right.
- 38:16Speaker 2: But I don't think how you came across to her
- 38:19Speaker 2: or them.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Like, she's probably not still thinking about me, right?
- 38:22Speaker 2: No, like, you're waking up in the middle of the
- 38:23Speaker 2: night remembering this, and she's sleeping peacefully.
- 38:26Speaker 1: She probably doesn't even remember. Dang, that's dark.
- 38:31Speaker 2: You should DM her and see if she responds.
- 38:34Speaker 1: What would I say?
- 38:35Speaker 2: Just like, hey, I, um..
- 38:37Speaker 1: Nice to meet you.
- 38:38Speaker 2: I was wondering if you felt like we were friends now,
- 38:43Speaker 2: because I feel like we're friends now. Oh, wait, we
- 38:47Speaker 2: both watch Traders Canada. Oh! And my gosh, our friend
- 38:53Speaker 2: Sarah Nicole, the bird's papaya. Yeah.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Since when did she go by Sarah Nicole? I had
- 38:58Speaker 1: no idea. I thought she was just Sarah. I thought
- 39:00Speaker 1: she was the bird's papaya.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Yeah. I didn't know that she went by Sarah Nicole
- 39:05Speaker 2: like as her. It's cute. So cute.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:07Speaker 2: She did really well. The I don't want to spoil anything,
- 39:11Speaker 2: but it's a very great season. Very.
- 39:13Speaker 1: So we're specifically talking about Traitor's.
- 39:17Speaker 2: Canada season three.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Canada season three.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:19Speaker 1: So I binged it two weekends ago when you were
- 39:21Speaker 1: in San Diego and I was like, I texted Becca
- 39:24Speaker 1: and said, I think Haley would really enjoy this season.
- 39:26Speaker 1: You guys should watch it. And it looks like you
- 39:28Speaker 1: followed my advice.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 39:30Speaker 1: And you watched it. It is fantastic television. Yeah. I
- 39:34Speaker 1: would love to be on the traders.
- 39:37Speaker 2: We got to get you on.
- 39:38Speaker 1: I know that they'd already tracked the track. They already
- 39:41Speaker 1: filmed the normal people one.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Well, I don't think you'd go on that. I think
- 39:46Speaker 2: you're a public figure.
- 39:47Speaker 1: I think I'm, I think I'm, I'm not quite the
- 39:50Speaker 1: public figure that they have on traders, but I fit
- 39:53Speaker 1: more with the norm with like the normal people.
- 39:56Speaker 2: I don't think so. I think you're well known enough
- 39:59Speaker 2: that I don't think so. Really?
- 40:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:02Speaker 2: I don't, I think you're wrong.
- 40:05Speaker 1: I think if you were to cast me, I'd go and.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Amp you up as a public figure. So then you're
- 40:10Speaker 2: going on as the celebrity traders like this year.
- 40:14Speaker 1: While they're, Oh, right. For next for next for the. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's why we need you to be
- 40:21Speaker 2: the opening act for the Jonas Brothers. Yeah, Jonas Brothers.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Help me. This is for amping up my resume for
- 40:27Speaker 1: the traders.
- 40:28Speaker 2: Well, you already have it on your resume. You opened
- 40:32Speaker 2: three sold out nights at the Madison Square Garden.
- 40:35Speaker 1: That's right.
- 40:36Speaker 2: Are you going to go to Harry Styles Madison Square
- 40:38Speaker 2: Garden show?
- 40:39Speaker 1: I don't have tickets.
- 40:40Speaker 2: And you can get tickets.
- 40:44Speaker 1: As of now, I'm not going. Are you going?
- 40:47Speaker 2: If I got tickets, I would. But I also would
- 40:49Speaker 2: just hope that maybe he'll make a little pit stop
- 40:51Speaker 2: around L.A. so I don't have to fly to New York.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:55Speaker 2: If if he were. I feel like that's what Taylor
- 40:57Speaker 2: Swift did on her show. She like circled back with
- 41:00Speaker 2: some new shit. She performed at the Grammy Museum.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Did you watch it?
- 41:05Speaker 2: I just have seen clips and she mashed up. I
- 41:08Speaker 2: knew it. I knew you, August. And all too well.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Is it good?
- 41:13Speaker 1: I need to watch the whole thing. I want to
- 41:14Speaker 1: watch the interview, the performance. I want to sit down
- 41:17Speaker 1: and watch it.
- 41:18Speaker 2: As a show.
- 41:19Speaker 1: An experience.
- 41:20Speaker 2: An experience.
- 41:20Speaker 1: The way it's deserved to be watched.
- 41:22Speaker 2: Yeah. So we played a few... Or last week on...
- 41:27Speaker 2: Was that Thursday's episode where we did the number game?
- 41:29Speaker 2: Or was that the week before?
- 41:30Speaker 1: It was last week. So, like, yeah, it was last week.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Okay, so we did the number game where instead of
- 41:36Speaker 2: guessing celebrities, we tried to guess a number between 1
- 41:38Speaker 2: and 100. And you were 67.
- 41:39Speaker 3: And you..
- 41:43Speaker 2: Lost um because i think you were so set on
- 41:47Speaker 2: it being 95 that you couldn't even ask other questions that.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Yeah i was so convinced it was in the 90s.
- 41:53Speaker 2: You're so certain yeah um but you had some arguments
- 41:57Speaker 2: with um my answers to you.
- 42:02Speaker 1: And quite frankly mark too what did i do frankly
- 42:07Speaker 1: so i would like to say that i think i
- 42:09Speaker 1: could have won that game had i been not led
- 42:12Speaker 1: astray with one of my answers.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Okay.
- 42:14Speaker 3: What was the question?
- 42:15Speaker 1: When I said, have I been this number before? And
- 42:17Speaker 1: you guys said, no, I was in fact 67 for
- 42:20Speaker 1: Halloween this year.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 42:21Speaker 2: But she was only seven.
- 42:23Speaker 3: That would have taken you.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Or you were only six.
- 42:25Speaker 3: That would have taken you so far off.
- 42:26Speaker 2: That's what I said. And she was a six. She
- 42:29Speaker 2: wasn't a 67.
- 42:30Speaker 1: So I don't really like, individualize myself when I'm like
- 42:34Speaker 1: a couple's costume. Like I am six, seven.
- 42:36Speaker 3: Like I'm not, if you had said, have I been
- 42:38Speaker 3: this number four? And I said, yes, you would have
- 42:40Speaker 3: taken 30, zero to 39 as your only option. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 42:44Speaker 1: With the age there.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Mark.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 42:50Speaker 1: Sensitive right now. So I would appreciate some discretion. Thank you. No,
- 42:55Speaker 1: I wouldn't because what really threw me off is when
- 42:57Speaker 1: you said, no, I have not been that number. I
- 42:59Speaker 1: was like, it's surely not 67 because I was 67
- 43:02Speaker 1: for Halloween this year.
- 43:03Speaker 3: So you ruled that one out when I said that.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 43:06Speaker 3: Of course you did.
- 43:06Speaker 1: I ruled out one through 39 and 67.
- 43:10Speaker 2: But like when Haley and I are a couple's costume,
- 43:13Speaker 2: I am not Glinda and Elphaba. I'm Glinda.
- 43:15Speaker 1: No, but you were Wicked.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Huh?
- 43:19Speaker 1: You were wicked.
- 43:19Speaker 2: No, I was Glinda.
- 43:20Speaker 1: You were wicked.
- 43:21Speaker 2: But I wasn't Glinda in Alphaba.
- 43:22Speaker 1: But if I said..
- 43:24Speaker 2: You were six. You weren't 67.
- 43:25Speaker 1: But if I said, were you this number or were
- 43:27Speaker 1: you this movie for Halloween, you'd say, yeah, I was.
- 43:32Speaker 1: You weren't just..
- 43:32Speaker 2: I would never... No one would ever ask, were you
- 43:35Speaker 2: this movie for Halloween?
- 43:36Speaker 1: That's neither here nor there.
- 43:37Speaker 2: If I said, were you... That's neither here nor there!
- 43:40Speaker 2: If you said, have I been this number in a
- 43:41Speaker 2: couple's costume before? I would have said, yeah. Well... but
- 43:47Speaker 2: that's not what you asked.
- 43:48Speaker 1: This is just teaching moment to the both of you
- 43:51Speaker 1: to really think before you answer.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Well, also Martha Stewart is an influencer. She's like the new, like.
- 43:57Speaker 1: Uh, I feel like I'm being led astray a little bit.
- 44:00Speaker 2: Okay. Well, we're going to give you a more fair
- 44:03Speaker 2: shot to take this one for the win. Okay.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Thank you this week.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Not today. Not today. Um, I wanted to, there is
- 44:13Speaker 2: this list of things that are embarrassing at 18, but
- 44:16Speaker 2: attractive at 30. Like a list of things that you'd
- 44:20Speaker 2: be embarrassed by at a certain age, but now you
- 44:22Speaker 2: find them attractive.
- 44:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:24Speaker 2: Which made me think about, there's this trend going around
- 44:27Speaker 2: where these women are showing a list of words to
- 44:31Speaker 2: their partner, boyfriend, husband, whatever, and having them try to
- 44:36Speaker 2: read them and pronounce them. Such as like epitome. Oh, epitome?
- 44:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Hard words. Harder words that like may be pronounced differently
- 44:46Speaker 2: than how they look. And I'm concerned with the literacy
- 44:53Speaker 2: epidemic that we are in right now because I cannot imagine.
- 44:58Speaker 1: This trend hasn't hit my algorithm yet.
- 45:01Speaker 2: It's so funny because there's so many women who are like, listen,
- 45:04Speaker 2: I'm single, but the last thing you'll catch me doing
- 45:07Speaker 2: is giggling at the fact that my partner cannot read.
- 45:10Speaker 2: And they're like, this is not for people who are
- 45:14Speaker 2: dyslexic or have a hard time reading, but this is
- 45:17Speaker 2: just you finding it silly that your partner cannot pronounce words. Like,
- 45:25Speaker 2: we have to.
- 45:26Speaker 1: I'd probably do bad on that, if I'm being honest.
- 45:28Speaker 2: Are you not a good speller? Are you not good
- 45:31Speaker 2: with grammar?
- 45:31Speaker 1: I mean, grammar is one thing. Reading is another. If
- 45:36Speaker 1: I saw epitome on a script, I probably would say epitome.
- 45:41Speaker 1: I'm not even going to lie.
- 45:44Speaker 2: But if you had time to see the word and.
- 45:46Speaker 1: If I was like in context reading it I would
- 45:48Speaker 1: probably think I would understand but like if.
- 45:50Speaker 2: You're just reading a list of words and you had
- 45:51Speaker 2: time to.
- 45:53Speaker 1: Yeah by the time I would totally know his epitome.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Maybe Mark can find some of the words that's what
- 45:58Speaker 2: I'm looking for.
- 45:58Speaker 4: Now yeah but some of the some of the okay
- 46:04Speaker 4: but here's the thing you the whole argument is why
- 46:08Speaker 4: are we like posting this oh right like yeah.
- 46:13Speaker 2: You know But I didn't know that you were going
- 46:15Speaker 2: to have that reaction. So feeling awkward. Some of the
- 46:19Speaker 2: things that are embarrassing. Becca's so good at games.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Becca's so smart. I'm just keeping it real, you know?
- 46:24Speaker 2: No. IRL. I believe that you would be able to read. Confident.
- 46:31Speaker 2: I felt confident in that. But there is.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Are you going to watch the Alex Earl show?
- 46:37Speaker 2: I'm sure.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Yeah. She influenced me heavily on these snacks that I
- 46:41Speaker 2: got last night and they're incredible.
- 46:43Speaker 1: What snacks?
- 46:44Speaker 2: These like mini rice cakes that are, have like different flavors.
- 46:49Speaker 2: And I posted because I saw her eating them and
- 46:52Speaker 2: then I was like, that sounds amazing. And so I
- 46:54Speaker 2: ordered them and they're incredible. And I posted and people
- 46:56Speaker 2: are like, you're just now hearing about these.
- 46:58Speaker 1: Oh, are they like Boomer?
- 47:00Speaker 2: Yeah. Boomer. But everyone, Paulina was sending me her favorite flavors.
- 47:04Speaker 2: It's a thing. It's a passion project.
- 47:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:08Speaker 2: Um, Okay, here are some things that are embarrassing at
- 47:12Speaker 2: 18 but attractive at 30. Helping your parents. I never
- 47:15Speaker 2: felt embarrassed about helping my parents, though. Going to bed early.
- 47:21Speaker 1: What a luxury that is now.
- 47:22Speaker 2: Being nerdy and passionate about something.
- 47:25Speaker 1: That's always cool.
- 47:26Speaker 2: I think so, too. Doing things alone and not caring
- 47:29Speaker 2: what people think, like movies. Yeah.
- 47:31Speaker 1: I would never, I don't, because I'm not like a
- 47:34Speaker 1: movie goer. Like I would never just like, you see
- 47:36Speaker 1: more movies than I do. But I go with like
- 47:38Speaker 1: the kids.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Oh, y'all go as like family.
- 47:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:41Speaker 1: Usually Robbie and I don't even go just as a
- 47:43Speaker 1: couple to see a movie.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Okay. Unfortunately, kindness is on this list, which is so sad.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Um, actually planning ahead instead of always being spontaneous. I've
- 47:52Speaker 2: actually found myself trying to be more planned and not
- 47:57Speaker 2: just spontaneous, but having a mixture. Cause I never want
- 48:00Speaker 2: to lose the like, of just going to do something,
- 48:04Speaker 2: but I like kind of knowing what's going on. Being
- 48:07Speaker 2: emotionally honest.
- 48:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Being good at household chores. Having a weekend with no plans.
- 48:19Speaker 2: Not used to... Oh, my gosh.
- 48:21Speaker 1: When you were 18, that was like anxiety if you
- 48:23Speaker 1: had a weekend with nothing.
- 48:24Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, you felt like left out.
- 48:26Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Now I'm like, clear the calendar.
- 48:29Speaker 2: Yeah. Being able to say no to things.
- 48:34Speaker 1: Still trying.
- 48:35Speaker 2: Bringing your own lunch instead of buying it.
- 48:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:38Speaker 2: I did that. I always packed my lunch. Or my
- 48:41Speaker 2: mom packed it and then I packed it as I
- 48:42Speaker 2: got older.
- 48:43Speaker 1: I always was embarrassed to bring my lunch.
- 48:45Speaker 3: Really?
- 48:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Because I was the one with the stinky food.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Why was it stinky?
- 48:50Speaker 1: It was like Serbian. It was like onions and all
- 48:53Speaker 1: this kind of stuff. And so it was like, you know,
- 48:56Speaker 1: I always wanted to buy lunch. I never wanted to
- 48:58Speaker 1: bring it.
- 48:59Speaker 3: And you still are the one with stinky food.
- 49:01Speaker 1: I'm still the girl with the stinky food.
- 49:03Speaker 2: I will say Haley has talked, we've talked about this,
- 49:05Speaker 2: about how her mom would make her food and her
- 49:08Speaker 2: lunch and it would be Japanese, like a gourmet Japanese meal.
- 49:12Speaker 2: And she would try to trade with other kids because
- 49:15Speaker 2: she felt like embarrassed by it. And I'm like, it's
- 49:17Speaker 2: so weird how our. Yeah.
- 49:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:20Speaker 2: Also how different cultures aren't like that they're that they're
- 49:27Speaker 2: not accepted so much that kids feel embarrassed by delicious
- 49:31Speaker 2: food that they eat and that their parents make them
- 49:33Speaker 2: you know um so yeah don't don't be embarrassed by
- 49:38Speaker 2: your stinky lunch if you have parent who makes you.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Delicious yeah I wish I wasn't but you know hindsight.
- 49:45Speaker 2: I know hindsight's everything um not having or posting on
- 49:49Speaker 2: social media wait so that's embarrassing at 18 oh not
- 49:54Speaker 2: having it I don't get that and then finally gray
- 49:57Speaker 2: hair which I'm still covering her hair so I'll let
- 50:01Speaker 2: I'll let it go when.
- 50:02Speaker 1: It's yeah when do you think you're gonna let it
- 50:03Speaker 1: go like when I'm old like when What is old? Yeah,
- 50:08Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. Like, when do you think you're
- 50:10Speaker 1: going to let the grays? So you're going to cover
- 50:13Speaker 1: your grays from now until 70? Yeah.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Wow. I don't find it so, like, such a burden. Yeah.
- 50:23Speaker 2: Having to go and, like, spend the money on it is, like,
- 50:27Speaker 2: not ideal. But covering it isn't. I'm like, oh, it
- 50:31Speaker 2: is what it is. I love when people embrace it
- 50:34Speaker 2: and it's so beautiful. Like, and Haley's always like, you're
- 50:36Speaker 2: going to look so beautiful with gray hair. And I'm like, okay,
- 50:39Speaker 2: in due time, due time.
- 50:41Speaker 1: I do feel like when you're blonde, the grays aren't
- 50:44Speaker 1: as noticeable.
- 50:45Speaker 2: No, they're not. Yeah.
- 50:46Speaker 1: Like I have like, I don't have many grays, but
- 50:48Speaker 1: like I have a couple and they kind of just
- 50:50Speaker 1: like blend in.
- 50:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 50:51Speaker 2: Maybe I'll go platinum blonde. That's a whole other upkeep.
- 50:56Speaker 2: You pick your battles. You pick your battles. Did you
- 51:00Speaker 2: find that list, Mark?
- 51:01Speaker 1: I did.
- 51:01Speaker 3: You want to try some on Tanya? Yeah, yeah.
- 51:03Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 51:05Speaker 2: I feel confident in her. I think she's downplaying her
- 51:07Speaker 2: reading skills, reading levels.
- 51:12Speaker 1: All right.
- 51:12Speaker 3: Here's one right now. Hyperbole. Very good.
- 51:17Speaker 2: Nice.
- 51:19Speaker 3: I knew she would do well.
- 51:20Speaker 2: One.
- 51:20Speaker 1: Tanya.
- 51:23Speaker 2: Okay.
- 51:23Speaker 3: Here's this one.
- 51:31Speaker 2: You know.
- 51:31Speaker 3: Go ahead.
- 51:33Speaker 1: Colonel? Colonel?
- 51:35Speaker 2: Colonel.
- 51:36Speaker 1: Colonel? That's not Colonel.
- 51:38Speaker 3: That is Colonel.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Not a popcorn Colonel.
- 51:43Speaker 1: Colonel. Don't give me double entendres over there, Mark.
- 51:45Speaker 2: That's not. That's an actual.
- 51:47Speaker 3: The Colonel in the military is spelled that way. How
- 51:49Speaker 3: about this one?
- 51:50Speaker 2: Opaque.
- 51:50Speaker 3: There you go.
- 51:51Speaker 2: Good.
- 51:51Speaker 1: See?
- 51:53Speaker 2: But in my opinion, opaque should actually sound like opaque.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Yeah, the English language is hard, okay?
- 52:00Speaker 3: It is hard.
- 52:01Speaker 2: Fuchsia.
- 52:02Speaker 3: Okay, very good, see?
- 52:03Speaker 2: Great, yeah, I knew you'd come through.
- 52:05Speaker 4: Fuchsia.
- 52:08Speaker 2: That's what some of the guys, it is wild.
- 52:11Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 52:12Speaker 2: Yeah. Fuchsia is actually one of the ones that really
- 52:15Speaker 2: got me.
- 52:16Speaker 1: You know that trend where it's like you say like, oh,
- 52:18Speaker 1: I asked my husband how attractive he thinks I am.
- 52:21Speaker 1: And then they go to the answer and he's like, oh,
- 52:22Speaker 1: I think you're disgusting. Rob is like, people keep sending
- 52:26Speaker 1: me that trend to like do to you. And I
- 52:27Speaker 1: was like, I've already seen it.
- 52:30Speaker 3: What's this word?
- 52:32Speaker 1: I can't really read your writing. Camaraderie?
- 52:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 52:37Speaker 2: You're good. Yeah, you're good.
- 52:38Speaker 3: One for four out of five.
- 52:41Speaker 1: That sounds about, it's pretty on brand for me. Yeah.
- 52:43Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. If you just needed a couple more letters
- 52:49Speaker 2: switched around, you would have had colonial, but..
- 52:52Speaker 1: Colonial.
- 52:52Speaker 2: Colonial.
- 52:53Speaker 1: Colonial.
- 52:55Speaker 2: All right, everybody. That's the end of today's podcast.
- 52:58Speaker 1: But we'll be back on Thursday.
- 52:59Speaker 2: But have no fear. We'll return.
- 53:01Speaker 1: But we won't have you next week. But I guess
- 53:03Speaker 1: we can talk about that on Thursday.
- 53:04Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 53:04Speaker 2: We'll talk about that on Thursday. So everyone have a
- 53:07Speaker 2: wonderful week and we'll see you in a couple of days.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Love you so much.
- 53:10Speaker 3: Bye.
- 53:11Speaker 1: Bye.
