- 0:05Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the right time. A wave original.
- 0:10Speaker 1: My name is Beaumont Jones. Thanks for listening wherever you
- 0:12Speaker 1: get your podcast. Thanks for watching us on YouTube. Subscribe, like,
- 0:17Speaker 1: rate us, review us, give us five stars. You only
- 0:20Speaker 1: give us four stars. I'm inclined to believe you are
- 0:22Speaker 1: a hater. I got some kind of sort of combine thoughts.
- 0:26Speaker 1: I usually don't do that. But, you know, you got
- 0:29Speaker 1: to meet people where they at. You know what I'm saying?
- 0:31Speaker 1: Got some of that, you know, weirdo stories at the
- 0:33Speaker 1: end of the show. But I got to tell you something.
- 0:36Speaker 1: And I talk about this just about every year. I
- 0:38Speaker 1: don't have much of a problem admitting this, that we
- 0:42Speaker 1: get so overrun by football from September to February that
- 0:47Speaker 1: I dip my toe into the NBA before football season's over,
- 0:51Speaker 1: and then now is the time to really, really, really
- 0:55Speaker 1: get in there. Every now and then, you get to
- 0:57Speaker 1: watching the game, and Ryan, I don't know if this
- 1:00Speaker 1: happens to you, but More and more because I don't
- 1:03Speaker 1: follow college basketball.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Like I used to.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Boy, you can sneak a motherfucker.
- 1:07Speaker 1: In there I ain't never heard of real smooth. Minnesota
- 1:10Speaker 1: got some African dude that's new, but he seems to
- 1:12Speaker 1: be very good. Yeah.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Like this is that time of year, especially if you
- 1:17Speaker 1: like used to play for a handful of teams. For example,
- 1:21Speaker 1: that Gafford dude that the Mavericks got that year they
- 1:23Speaker 1: went to the finals. I had never heard of him
- 1:26Speaker 1: and I could not understand how that was possible. And
- 1:28Speaker 1: then they told me that he played for the Wizards.
- 1:31Speaker 3: That'll do it.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Witness protection.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Especially this year when, like, it's almost two-thirds of the league.
- 1:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Who are just, you know, not trying.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's a lot of teams that I
- 1:42Speaker 2: don't need to check.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Like, Sacramento, that's also witness protection, where you can go
- 1:45Speaker 1: over there, except for that one year, right? You go
- 1:47Speaker 1: over to Sacramento, like, I get to play in the
- 1:49Speaker 1: Immaculate Grid, man. I don't know what to do. They
- 1:52Speaker 1: fuck around and put Sacramento in.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Orlando, and it's like, damn.
- 1:56Speaker 1: This could be who I got to like really start
- 1:59Speaker 1: working my way through some old three way trades. But anyway,
- 2:02Speaker 1: now's the time to like really get this going with
- 2:03Speaker 1: the NBA. Like you see more of the Knicks because
- 2:05Speaker 1: we live here and stuff like that. And I also
- 2:07Speaker 1: watched the Knicks play against the Spurs.
- 2:09Speaker 2: They put the hurt on.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I was a little surprised. Now, granted, I do think
- 2:15Speaker 2: the Knicks and the Lakers both have this one. And
- 2:17Speaker 2: I guess the Clippers, too.
- 2:19Speaker 1: But they mess around to play a team in that
- 2:21Speaker 1: early Sunday slot or whatever early is for local.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Y'all should win.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:26Speaker 2: People had fun.
- 2:28Speaker 5: Yeah, right.
- 2:28Speaker 1: It's the Spurs one time pulling up. If y'all get
- 2:32Speaker 1: to play them on Sunday, y'all should win, right?
- 2:36Speaker 2: But no, good.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I mean, Carl Towns played well. It was a strong game.
- 2:40Speaker 1: But I also watched three other games this weekend. I
- 2:42Speaker 1: watched Detroit-Cleveland. I watched Oklahoma City and the Nuggets. And
- 2:48Speaker 1: then I watched the Nuggets again against Minnesota. Nuggets, not
- 2:51Speaker 1: a great weekend. I feel like they need to be
- 2:54Speaker 1: glad that Mike Malone is doing TV and not being
- 2:56Speaker 1: the coach because I bet he would be miserable to
- 2:59Speaker 1: be around after the weekend that they had. But I
- 3:03Speaker 1: mentioned those games because those games were good, right? And
- 3:06Speaker 1: they were good for, I'd say, an interesting range of reasons.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Detroit and Cleveland was the sort of game that I
- 3:13Speaker 1: ordinarily would have wanted to watch and then found out
- 3:18Speaker 1: that Donovan Mitchell was not playing. I think James Harden
- 3:21Speaker 1: was also out of that game. I would find out
- 3:24Speaker 1: that those two guys were not playing in that game,
- 3:27Speaker 1: and then I would not watch that game anymore, right?
- 3:31Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Like, Ryan, I feel like it was a good game,
- 3:35Speaker 1: but I don't know if the way I'm putting this
- 3:37Speaker 1: is going to make this seem, but You know, the
- 3:40Speaker 1: Pistons didn't quite bring it.
- 3:42Speaker 2: As they should have.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Right.
- 3:43Speaker 2: And that's, that's, that's, that's, there we go. Okay. But
- 3:46Speaker 2: at the same time, that was Jared Allen, Evan Mobley. Okay.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Those are NBA players. Dennis Schroeder, Sam Merrill, and Jalen Tyson.
- 3:55Speaker 1: And a dude named Naquan was the first man off
- 3:57Speaker 1: the bench. A series of gentlemen that I'm not very
- 4:01Speaker 1: familiar with came off the bench.
- 4:02Speaker 3: For sure.
- 4:03Speaker 2: And it was a game.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Right.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Like it was an intense like I mean, look, Detroit,
- 4:09Speaker 2: they're back.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Right.
- 4:10Speaker 1: The city is clearly back into it. I realize this,
- 4:14Speaker 1: especially since it's been a while since they moved out
- 4:16Speaker 1: the palace. But I had had a whole lot of
- 4:18Speaker 1: watch the Pistons since they left the palace situations.
- 4:20Speaker 5: Right.
- 4:20Speaker 2: It still feels weird when I watch a game there.
- 4:23Speaker 3: It's been a long 15 years.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it has been. It has been like last year.
- 4:26Speaker 1: You know, we got in and checked out a little bit.
- 4:29Speaker 1: But honestly, it was a really, really good game, even
- 4:31Speaker 1: with Cunningham filing out late and everything else. I know
- 4:34Speaker 1: Jared Allen also filed out on that one. But it
- 4:35Speaker 1: was an intense, really hard play game, followed by Oklahoma
- 4:41Speaker 1: City and Denver. And that one was serious, right? Everybody
- 4:46Speaker 1: was there for right. Two best players in the NBA
- 4:48Speaker 1: playing in that game, right? Chet's back playing in that.
- 4:51Speaker 1: That game went hard.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Lou Dort. Lou Dort.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Had a moment in that game that seems to happen
- 4:57Speaker 1: somewhat often with these cats in the NBA where somehow
- 4:59Speaker 1: they forget that Jokic is real big.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Big and scary and intense.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's a.
- 5:07Speaker 1: He's... You know what Jokic got? Jokic got a lot
- 5:11Speaker 1: of I ain't no sucky in him, right?
- 5:13Speaker 2: Because he's just kind of a, hey, just run up
- 5:14Speaker 2: and down the floor, play basketball, be excellent, right?
- 5:17Speaker 1: But every now and then he needs to remind you that, like,
- 5:20Speaker 1: y'all want these problems.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Lou Dort, you know, like what.
- 5:24Speaker 1: The thing Lou Dort did wasn't like the biggest cheap
- 5:26Speaker 1: shot we've ever seen, right? But once Jokic ran up
- 5:30Speaker 1: on him, I mean, for you to be Lou Dort, baby,
- 5:33Speaker 1: you can't, you gotta be full troll. Or if you're
- 5:37Speaker 1: going to play the way he plays, you got to
- 5:39Speaker 1: be ready to fight too. Right.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Like you got a full Patrick Beverly.
- 5:42Speaker 2: You got to be at his size. You got to
- 5:44Speaker 2: be a defenseman, right?
- 5:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Big football playing Joker. Like that's what it's got to be.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Jokic ran up on him and he was like, Ooh,
- 5:53Speaker 1: I properly do the math on this situation. Um, then
- 5:59Speaker 1: we had this, uh, Minnesota Denver game, which, uh, I'd
- 6:02Speaker 1: say it wasn't a great game in terms.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Of the margin.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Jokic played a really good game. Not enough dudes showed up.
- 6:08Speaker 1: But Minnesota, dude, Anthony Edwards, the legend killer. I don't
- 6:12Speaker 1: know what Minnesota is going to do in the playoffs.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I would not want to play Minnesota in the playoffs
- 6:17Speaker 1: because I've watched the playoffs for the last two years, right? Like,
- 6:21Speaker 1: Minnesota is such a weird team in the sense that
- 6:23Speaker 1: they have been to the Western Conference Finals two years
- 6:26Speaker 1: in a row, and not a single one of us
- 6:28Speaker 1: is looking at them like, don't you think it's time
- 6:30Speaker 1: to take the next step? which is typically how we
- 6:34Speaker 1: view it if you're making it to the Western Conference
- 6:36Speaker 1: Finals two years in a row. That is, I guess,
- 6:40Speaker 1: a byproduct of this era of parody. Me and Goff
- 6:42Speaker 1: talked about this last week. I grew up with Dynasty Sagas.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I kind of prefer Dynasty Sagas. But we do have,
- 6:48Speaker 1: we got a Western Conference where I don't know if
- 6:52Speaker 1: there are six teams that can win. In fact, I
- 6:55Speaker 1: know there are not six teams that can win the
- 6:56Speaker 1: West because Houston cannot. But there are, I'd say five
- 7:01Speaker 1: teams that I think could make it to the conference finals,
- 7:03Speaker 1: and I'm again removing Houston from this, and it's the
- 7:06Speaker 1: structural point guard issue. I just don't think that that
- 7:10Speaker 1: roster could pull that off.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Do you count the Lakers in those five?
- 7:13Speaker 2: Hell no.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Okay, who were the five?
- 7:15Speaker 2: Oh, so I mean four. Sorry, got my count wrong.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:19Speaker 1: And I know that I got my count wrong by
- 7:21Speaker 1: you being like, wait a minute, are you talking about
- 7:22Speaker 1: the Lakers?
- 7:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:23Speaker 1: No, I am talking about Minnesota, Denver, San Antonio, and
- 7:26Speaker 1: Oklahoma City.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Right.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Right, I forgot it. Houston is the five.
- 7:30Speaker 1: In that one yeah I can see any of those
- 7:33Speaker 1: four going right and we just we just talked about
- 7:35Speaker 1: games but you know basically.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Just you know with three of.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Them here's why I bring up those games and why
- 7:41Speaker 1: I want to talk about this off the top Ryan
- 7:43Speaker 1: I'm curious what you think about this.
- 7:46Speaker 2: I talked about last week.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I think on this Monday show was just the idea
- 7:50Speaker 1: that the NBA regular season I don't know what it
- 7:52Speaker 1: takes I don't know what has to happen in the
- 7:54Speaker 1: regular season the NBA to break through to like really matter.
- 7:57Speaker 1: The Spurs were just on a 12 game winning streak.
- 8:00Speaker 1: And I knew that because you told me. Right.
- 8:02Speaker 6: Right.
- 8:04Speaker 1: I did not realize that. And of course they are
- 8:06Speaker 1: no longer on a 12 game winning streak, but that
- 8:09Speaker 1: should be the big, there's nothing else going on.
- 8:12Speaker 7: Right.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Right. Like Victor went by Yama is living up to
- 8:16Speaker 1: the hype and expectation that was there.
- 8:18Speaker 2: They are two games out of first. in the West.
- 8:22Speaker 2: I do think it's going to matter. Those seedings are actually.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Going to matter. With the tiebreaker against Oklahoma City already.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Right, right.
- 8:27Speaker 1: If this were baseball back in the days, we'd call
- 8:31Speaker 1: it a pennant race. We have a very interesting race
- 8:35Speaker 1: in the West, and we saw it bear out, like, say,
- 8:37Speaker 1: in the way that some of these games look.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Like, Minnesota came in. They were playing to win that game.
- 8:42Speaker 7: Right.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Right?
- 8:42Speaker 2: Like, Denver was.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Nobody was just out here like, oh, one of 82.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Right?
- 8:47Speaker 2: No, no, no, no.
- 8:47Speaker 1: They was out there to win that game, that Detroit-Cleveland
- 8:50Speaker 1: game on Friday night. They was out to win that one.
- 8:53Speaker 1: We have a very interesting thing going on in the
- 8:55Speaker 1: East where... And I think it's kind of similar in
- 8:58Speaker 1: the West. I would pick San Antonio to win the West,
- 9:01Speaker 1: except the small problem is they've never won anything. This
- 9:04Speaker 1: particular people, group of people in San Antonio, just to
- 9:06Speaker 1: be clear, they've never won anything.
- 9:08Speaker 2: The same thing with Detroit.
- 9:10Speaker 1: The only reason to not pick them is that they
- 9:13Speaker 1: have not done this before. And by this, we mean
- 9:15Speaker 1: win a series in the first round. Or in the
- 9:18Speaker 1: case of San Antonio, go. Like, actually play in the playoffs, right?
- 9:23Speaker 1: Even with losing to the Knicks. Dude, the no-fly zone
- 9:26Speaker 1: that happens. I mean, I watched Victor guard the ball,
- 9:29Speaker 1: the pass, and the weak side on the same, like,
- 9:33Speaker 1: right at the same time.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Oh, like, it doesn't even seem real. It looks like
- 9:38Speaker 2: he's playing against three-year-olds. Right, like, all right, everybody against Ed, right?
- 9:43Speaker 2: Like it doesn't even seem possible.
- 9:46Speaker 1: But I talked about the regular season and the idea
- 9:49Speaker 1: of the regular season doesn't matter or is treated like
- 9:51Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. I think it's very important for me
- 9:55Speaker 1: to make a distinction because it's easy to lose sight
- 9:57Speaker 1: of this, particularly when talking about the NBA, because people
- 10:01Speaker 1: have a predisposition to think about the worst.
- 10:05Speaker 2: The regular season seems to clearly matter to those guys.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Okay.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Now, There are some teams that have clearly mailed it
- 10:17Speaker 1: in on this season. And I have a problem with
- 10:20Speaker 1: the fact that they have mailed it in on the season.
- 10:22Speaker 1: And a big part of why I have a problem
- 10:24Speaker 1: with the fact that they mailed it in on the
- 10:25Speaker 1: season is that they still charge people money for the tickets.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Right?
- 10:30Speaker 2: Like, you're still a chunk of the cable bill. You're
- 10:33Speaker 2: selling us this.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Being a fan of basketball is not just simply about
- 10:38Speaker 1: the positioning of your team for down the line and
- 10:41Speaker 1: championship and everything else. No, I want to enjoy some games, right?
- 10:45Speaker 1: Like these games are right here. There are teams that
- 10:49Speaker 1: have absolutely given up on that, and I have a
- 10:51Speaker 1: giant problem with it, okay? But there are also situations
- 10:55Speaker 1: where we got a problem with the load management and
- 10:57Speaker 1: everything else, and this has been sold as a superstar league,
- 10:59Speaker 1: but I watched that Cleveland team without their two best players,
- 11:02Speaker 1: and it was a game. It was a game worth watching.
- 11:06Speaker 1: It was an entertaining game. We got a lot of
- 11:11Speaker 1: teams left with a lot to play for, and if
- 11:13Speaker 1: we're being perfectly honest, them teams that are not giving
- 11:16Speaker 1: it their all, you wasn't watching them anyway.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Like, it is an affront.
- 11:21Speaker 1: To the local fans for what they're doing, but if
- 11:24Speaker 1: you're talking about it as a, like, over here, like
- 11:28Speaker 1: a 3,000-foot view, whatever that phrase is, looking down on
- 11:32Speaker 1: the league, you wouldn't go watch them anyway. But the
- 11:34Speaker 1: teams that you're going to watch, oh, there's so much
- 11:37Speaker 1: to watch right now, right? I think I lost track
- 11:40Speaker 1: of my thought earlier, but I didn't even get to
- 11:42Speaker 1: bring it up. The fact that Jason Tatum apparently is
- 11:45Speaker 1: going to try to come back and play.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Yeah, in the next two weeks.
- 11:50Speaker 1: That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, right?
- 11:53Speaker 1: I mean, I can only assume that.
- 11:58Speaker 2: is medically cleared, right?
- 12:00Speaker 3: Yeah, it has to be.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't, I can't.
- 12:03Speaker 3: By his doctors and the team's.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:05Speaker 1: It's the only way, I can't assume that anybody, like, look,
- 12:07Speaker 1: I mean, look, Derrick Rose would not have been playing
- 12:10Speaker 1: this season, right? You understand what I'm saying? Like, like,
- 12:13Speaker 1: and by the way, wouldn't be hearing nothing from me
- 12:14Speaker 1: about that.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Of course.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Also, the Bulls would have been leaking. You know, he
- 12:17Speaker 1: actually could have played two and a half months ago.
- 12:20Speaker 1: you know, if that would have come down. But do
- 12:22Speaker 1: you realize how crazy that is? Like, first of all,
- 12:24Speaker 1: the fact that the Celtics have been as good as
- 12:26Speaker 1: they have been, that Jalen Brown, who could not dribble
- 12:28Speaker 1: with his left hand not too long ago.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Is in the top five of MVP conversations.
- 12:33Speaker 2: I mean, he has an argument for being the MVP.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Right.
- 12:35Speaker 1: If you wanted to make it, right? Hey, man, it matters.
- 12:41Speaker 1: These cats are out.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Here, right?
- 12:43Speaker 1: There's a lot of discussion about that 65 game rule.
- 12:47Speaker 1: And I, look, If you don't play 65 games, history
- 12:50Speaker 1: has said you're not the MVP.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Right.
- 12:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:54Speaker 2: It was the Bill Walton. It was the year Bill
- 12:57Speaker 2: Walton got hurt.
- 12:57Speaker 1: That's basically the only one out of a full 82-game season.
- 13:01Speaker 1: I think there's been like one more or something like that.
- 13:03Speaker 1: But typically, that was always a disqualifying factor. The reason
- 13:07Speaker 1: they put that rule in was not about the MVP.
- 13:10Speaker 1: They put that rule in so that cats who were
- 13:12Speaker 1: trying to make All-NBA and thereby maybe get their Supermax
- 13:17Speaker 1: on would not be out here mailing in games.
- 13:20Speaker 2: That's what they were going for. But the MVP.
- 13:23Speaker 1: This has always been a self-regulating sort of situation. And
- 13:27Speaker 1: the guys that are playing games, Cade Cunningham playing those games,
- 13:30Speaker 1: Jalen Brown playing those games. Those are the guys that
- 13:34Speaker 1: I think we should be talking about for MVP. If
- 13:36Speaker 1: Shea Gilders Alexander gets up around that total of games,
- 13:40Speaker 1: then yeah, we'll talk about it. Jokic missed how much time?
- 13:43Speaker 1: You don't win the MVP when you do that.
- 13:47Speaker 2: You just don't. That has nothing to do with- There's.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Only one person who can win it.
- 13:51Speaker 7: Right.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Only one person who can be the best.
- 13:53Speaker 2: That's correct.
- 13:53Speaker 1: By the way, that has nothing to do with what
- 13:55Speaker 1: I was just talking about. But I did realize I
- 13:57Speaker 1: wanted to talk about that and make that point. So
- 13:59Speaker 1: the point's been made. The point that I'm here to
- 14:01Speaker 1: make is the regular season of basketball.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Can matter as much as we want it to matter.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Because there is basketball that matters that's on right now.
- 14:12Speaker 2: And guess what?
- 14:13Speaker 1: We got another like monthly change of the regular season.
- 14:17Speaker 1: This is about to be a run to the end.
- 14:19Speaker 1: In the West, who you wind up playing is so important.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I think everybody would like to get themselves positioned against Houston.
- 14:25Speaker 1: They're teams that don't want to play each other. The
- 14:27Speaker 1: teams are close enough such that the idea of having
- 14:30Speaker 1: home court is something. Minnesota beat them under these circumstances
- 14:34Speaker 1: two years ago, but I personally would not want to
- 14:36Speaker 1: play a game seven in Denver. If Oklahoma City were
- 14:40Speaker 1: not playing Denver game seven in their house, do they
- 14:44Speaker 1: win that one last year?
- 14:46Speaker 2: I don't think they do.
- 14:47Speaker 3: With Aaron Gordon hopping around on one leg.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Right, and that still is the thing with Denver, right?
- 14:51Speaker 1: As if Aaron Gordon winds up coming back. But San Antonio,
- 14:54Speaker 1: with a team that young, where they play these games,
- 14:58Speaker 1: all of this stuff is going to matter. It's about
- 15:01Speaker 1: to be on fire to the finish. The Knicks, because
- 15:04Speaker 1: all the pressure around them still remains.
- 15:07Speaker 2: And they're a soap opera over there, Ryan.
- 15:10Speaker 1: I don't think people quite pick up on the fact
- 15:12Speaker 1: that the guys don't seem to like the coach that much.
- 15:15Speaker 1: They fired the coach that got them to the conference finals,
- 15:18Speaker 1: which means going to the NBA finals is kind of
- 15:20Speaker 1: sort of the expectation. We got three really interesting teams.
- 15:26Speaker 2: In the East.
- 15:27Speaker 1: We've got four really interesting teams in the West. It's
- 15:33Speaker 1: a thing going on.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Guys, it is.
- 15:37Speaker 1: And I will be very curious to see if all
- 15:40Speaker 1: of us around this are going to treat this like
- 15:43Speaker 1: it's a thing. Because this could be a whole hell
- 15:45Speaker 1: of a lot of fun before the season's over. And
- 15:48Speaker 1: then after that, we get two months of playoff basketball
- 15:53Speaker 1: where this conference, the conference semifinals this year are going
- 15:56Speaker 1: to feel like, my buddy Nick always makes the point
- 15:58Speaker 1: that the best weekend of the season.
- 15:59Speaker 2: In the NFL, and he's right, is the division round.
- 16:02Speaker 2: That is the best one.
- 16:04Speaker 1: That is what the conference semifinals are going to feel
- 16:07Speaker 1: like this year. Like we're going to have two games
- 16:09Speaker 1: a night of great basketball. I cannot wait. Let us
- 16:13Speaker 1: get our minds in that.
- 16:15Speaker 2: We pass All-Star.
- 16:16Speaker 1: We pass that little, you know, withdrawal time we have
- 16:20Speaker 1: from after football. So nothing's good enough for us. So
- 16:23Speaker 1: we just shit on the league. Now we take a
- 16:25Speaker 1: week and you look around and be like, oh, no, baby,
- 16:27Speaker 1: it is popping. And after all that, Ryan, we're just
- 16:36Speaker 1: going to talk about hypothetical football.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Yep.
- 16:39Speaker 1: It's the combine.
- 16:41Speaker 2: It's March. Yeah, it's the combine. Do you think Mark
- 16:44Speaker 2: Sanchez came to the combine?
- 16:46Speaker 3: I think he is. going to be avoiding Indianapolis and
- 16:50Speaker 3: all of it.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I mean, he can only avoid it, but so much,
- 16:52Speaker 1: I'm sure he got some court dates.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Yeah. I think he's going to be just in that courtroom.
- 16:58Speaker 2: How crazy would it be?
- 16:59Speaker 1: If Mark Sanchez had a court date during the combine
- 17:02Speaker 1: and he's just like on his flight or at the
- 17:04Speaker 1: airport or waiting that baggage claim. And everybody's like, Oh,
- 17:07Speaker 1: surprised to see you here. You got a court date
- 17:09Speaker 1: or something.
- 17:10Speaker 2: And he's like, yeah, I do actually. I, it's funny
- 17:17Speaker 2: you mentioned that.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Cause I'm, I think some other information about this dropped.
- 17:21Speaker 3: It turns out Mark Sanchez, and this isn't exactly news,
- 17:25Speaker 3: accusing Sanchez of being under the influence of cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana,
- 17:30Speaker 3: and alcohol under the time of the altercation.
- 17:33Speaker 2: That's right.
- 17:33Speaker 1: However, not included on the list, not even in others
- 17:37Speaker 1: receiving votes, was that dust.
- 17:41Speaker 2: I was still positive. Yo, let me tell you that.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Once you just ran off that list of things that
- 17:46Speaker 1: they say Mark Sanchez was on, and it made him
- 17:49Speaker 1: act like he was on that dust, that is one
- 17:52Speaker 1: hell of a commercial for that dust.
- 17:55Speaker 2: You take.
- 17:56Speaker 3: I think it's the exact... I think it's a bit
- 17:59Speaker 3: of a warning label for that dust.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Also, two things could be true at one time.
- 18:06Speaker 6: But....
- 18:08Speaker 2: He had, like, a Long Island iced tea of dope.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Just everything you got, just throw it in and shake
- 18:16Speaker 1: it up.
- 18:17Speaker 3: You're not supposed to hit Yahtzee with vices.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. He shook it all up. He put
- 18:22Speaker 2: a little bit of coke on top. And there you go. Like,
- 18:25Speaker 2: that was... Man, man. He's going to... He's got to
- 18:29Speaker 2: go to jail for that. Okay, sorry. That wasn't what
- 18:31Speaker 2: we were talking about. The combine....
- 18:37Speaker 1: I don't think nothing greedier than the NFL turning the
- 18:40Speaker 1: combine into like a thing that people watch on TV.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Right.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Like I do believe that once.
- 18:47Speaker 1: You really start like, okay, you get a clip of
- 18:49Speaker 1: somebody doing a vert or running to 40 or whatever
- 18:52Speaker 1: it is.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Okay. That's fine.
- 18:54Speaker 1: But you'd be like watching, you know, you're working the biz.
- 18:58Speaker 1: You just sit up there and you watching. I mean,
- 19:03Speaker 1: that's a little weird.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Right.
- 19:06Speaker 2: That's all I'm saying. That's a little... You know how
- 19:10Speaker 2: it is. It's weird. It's illegal for you to be
- 19:13Speaker 2: at the playground if you ain't got no kids.
- 19:17Speaker 1: This isn't exactly that obviously, but it ain't exactly not that. Right.
- 19:24Speaker 1: But anyway, one of the interesting elements of the combine
- 19:27Speaker 1: is everybody be up there.
- 19:29Speaker 6: Right.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Like I can only be convinced.
- 19:31Speaker 3: You just compared a NFL super NFL fans, sex offenders.
- 19:37Speaker 1: No, I compared them to the people who sit by
- 19:40Speaker 1: the playground. Right. who are not necessarily sex offenders, but
- 19:46Speaker 1: acknowledged to be weirdos.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Fair enough.
- 19:50Speaker 2: There we go. So anyway, the combine.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Which I'm convinced, your greatest testament that the league is
- 19:58Speaker 1: full of dudes who just don't feel like hanging out
- 19:59Speaker 1: with their wives.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Like, the season- Let's all go to Indianapolis at the
- 20:02Speaker 3: end of February.
- 20:03Speaker 2: The season just ended.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Right?
- 20:06Speaker 1: Like, it's not like, it's not like it's been all
- 20:10Speaker 1: summer long or something like that.
- 20:11Speaker 3: The Super Bowl was three weeks ago.
- 20:14Speaker 2: They were all there, too.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Yeah, they were all there.
- 20:17Speaker 6: Right?
- 20:19Speaker 3: We just had a big industry party for a week.
- 20:22Speaker 2: In a much better location.
- 20:24Speaker 3: And so now it's been three weeks. We haven't been
- 20:26Speaker 3: able to work for 50 hours a week. Let's all
- 20:28Speaker 3: go to St. Elmo's in Indianapolis.
- 20:30Speaker 2: But you know what I think part of it is, though?
- 20:32Speaker 1: I do think that part of it is that for
- 20:35Speaker 1: the combine, the tier two people, the.
- 20:37Speaker 2: People that do not get the Super Bowl plug, this
- 20:41Speaker 2: is their party.
- 20:42Speaker 3: This is their VIP event.
- 20:43Speaker 2: This is Old Navy Super Bowl.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Got it.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Of the Super Bowl hierarchy, right? But anyway, they're there.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Seeing a lot of men's warehouse at these events.
- 20:52Speaker 2: There we go, right?
- 20:54Speaker 1: And that's where everybody gets together and they get to
- 20:57Speaker 1: talking and the groundwork for the personnel moves down the
- 21:00Speaker 1: line start happening.
- 21:02Speaker 2: And Ryan sent me something.
- 21:03Speaker 1: And granted, it's from an aggregator account, but it's still worthwhile.
- 21:08Speaker 2: And it makes this point. I'm going to read it.
- 21:10Speaker 2: What is it? Ari Murlov, if that's a person. I
- 21:14Speaker 2: have no idea. Anyway, this was where.
- 21:19Speaker 1: There is a potential scenario this offseason where up to
- 21:22Speaker 1: five veteran quarterbacks with guaranteed money already in 2026 could
- 21:25Speaker 1: be released, and as a result, their next contract with
- 21:27Speaker 1: the new team could be for the minimum. Tua Tungavailoa,
- 21:30Speaker 1: $ 54 million guaranteed. Kyler Murray, $ 36. 8 million guaranteed. Geno Smith,
- 21:36Speaker 1: $ 18. 5 million guaranteed. Kirk Cousins, $ 10 million guaranteed. Justin Fields,
- 21:41Speaker 1: $ 10 million guaranteed.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Okay, I have two thoughts on this.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Number one, Um, apparently nobody in the NFL has ever
- 21:52Speaker 1: heard the song is cheaper to keep. Now, you know,
- 21:55Speaker 1: I know Tua would be offended if he heard that
- 21:57Speaker 1: I was calling him a her, but it's a metaphor,
- 21:59Speaker 1: young man.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Okay.
- 22:03Speaker 1: The whole point of these guarantees and the way they
- 22:05Speaker 1: do this is we go.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Work this out.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Right.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Like like there's some security in the idea.
- 22:10Speaker 2: This didn't work. OK.
- 22:12Speaker 5: All right.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Well, look, we go. We go. We kind of stuck
- 22:14Speaker 2: with each other. We don't have to work this out.
- 22:16Speaker 1: We can't afford to quit this. We don't work this out.
- 22:20Speaker 1: I don't care what we've been saying about to it
- 22:22Speaker 1: and everything else. We are paying him 54. We already
- 22:26Speaker 1: got we already got quarterback in the refrigerator. We're not
- 22:29Speaker 1: going out to eat when we got food and food
- 22:31Speaker 1: that's been paid off. Not a little bit, by the way, right? Like,
- 22:35Speaker 1: we have steak at the house. There is a porterhouse
- 22:39Speaker 1: that I have taken out of the freezer. Like, that's
- 22:43Speaker 1: your quarterback, right?
- 22:46Speaker 3: Doesn't look like it.
- 22:49Speaker 2: I mean, okay. That's all I got. You're not really
- 22:56Speaker 2: trying to win. You can't be. You got $ 54 million
- 22:58Speaker 2: cap hole. Okay.
- 23:01Speaker 3: I think Tua's combined dead money cap number is $ 99 million.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Come on, man. What are we talking
- 23:08Speaker 2: about here?
- 23:08Speaker 1: If you see a quarterback worth drafting, go ahead and
- 23:13Speaker 1: do it. But your options are, and you tell me
- 23:16Speaker 1: if I'm wrong here, Tua Tagovailoa, Malik Willis, or another
- 23:24Speaker 1: quarterback whose previous team felt the same way about them
- 23:30Speaker 1: as you feel about The one that you about to
- 23:33Speaker 1: get rid of.
- 23:33Speaker 2: I don't know, man. That sounds like Tua to me.
- 23:38Speaker 2: It could be, right?
- 23:39Speaker 1: Kyler Murray, $ 37 million guaranteed. I'm just going to throw
- 23:47Speaker 1: this out here, okay? I've looked at the stats. When
- 23:55Speaker 1: did Kyler Murray become terrible? Because I don't really see that.
- 24:00Speaker 3: He's had a few very good years.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:03Speaker 3: He tore the ACL a few years ago.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:05Speaker 3: And last year, he just had this mysterious mystery injury. Yes.
- 24:11Speaker 2: And they decided they didn't want to play him anymore.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Correct.
- 24:13Speaker 2: That I.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Look, man.
- 24:19Speaker 1: We have seen evidence of this. And lots of us
- 24:22Speaker 1: have been told this. His soft skills are poor. Clearly
- 24:29Speaker 1: what I mean by that, for those don't understand, is
- 24:32Speaker 1: people don't like him. OK, he comported himself in such
- 24:38Speaker 1: a way that the team felt like they had to
- 24:40Speaker 1: put a video game clause in his contract, basically. OK,
- 24:44Speaker 1: I still think the team was wrong for that. And
- 24:46Speaker 1: they set themselves up for unnecessary scrutiny because ultimately you
- 24:49Speaker 1: were still going to sign them. So it didn't really matter.
- 24:51Speaker 1: But the truth is, it did happen. And they didn't
- 24:54Speaker 1: just pull that out of the air. And his side
- 24:56Speaker 1: didn't feel like they could get it out of the deal.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Right.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Okay. He does not play well with others.
- 25:03Speaker 1: But I'm looking at him on a list with like
- 25:06Speaker 1: Kirk Cousins, who got one leg and is 38, nine
- 25:10Speaker 1: years old.
- 25:11Speaker 3: And is just as likely to be in a booth
- 25:14Speaker 3: next year.
- 25:14Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Which it looks like he'll be pretty good at.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Yes.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Better than he is at QBing.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Yeah. And Justin Fields.
- 25:21Speaker 6: And, you know.
- 25:23Speaker 2: We all thought it would go different.
- 25:25Speaker 5: Right.
- 25:26Speaker 2: It just hasn't.
- 25:27Speaker 3: It did not.
- 25:28Speaker 2: They're going to go there.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Geno Smith, I don't really know what to do with
- 25:31Speaker 1: because he was on a terrible team and just felt
- 25:34Speaker 1: like it was YOLO time, whatever. Any little blip I
- 25:37Speaker 1: saw of him on the Red Zone channel, it was
- 25:38Speaker 1: him just saying, fuck it.
- 25:40Speaker 2: The combo of.
- 25:41Speaker 3: Pete Carroll, Chip Kelly, and Pete Carroll's son as the
- 25:44Speaker 3: offensive line coach.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Yes.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Seem to have really broken.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it was bad news, but I'll be, I'm looking,
- 25:49Speaker 1: but all of this combined, all these guys we're looking
- 25:53Speaker 1: at to me, Kyler Murray is like a different player
- 25:57Speaker 1: than any of these guys that we talked about here.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Like if you're Minnesota and the Steelers, in fact, that's
- 26:02Speaker 2: what they need to do up there.
- 26:03Speaker 1: And it's sausage party now, an inappropriate term, I think
- 26:09Speaker 1: you get one. Okay, so last week's sausage party was
- 26:13Speaker 1: my limit on.
- 26:15Speaker 3: I would say the one 30 seconds ago was your one.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Oh, wow. I didn't know I had already done it.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Okay.
- 26:22Speaker 7: Anyway.
- 26:23Speaker 3: We're all friends here.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Yeah, but if you haven't been to a sausage party,
- 26:27Speaker 1: the kind of thing you'd never know when an impromptu
- 26:33Speaker 1: wrestling match might break out, right? Just like two dudes
- 26:36Speaker 1: who decide, hey, it's just a bunch of dudes around here.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Who wants to wrestle, right? You know, like in a
- 26:43Speaker 2: dorm or something like that. You know what I mean?
- 26:45Speaker 3: Is that a two-America situation or a one-America situation?
- 26:48Speaker 2: No, no, no, no.
- 26:49Speaker 1: I think it's a one American situation. Like, I don't
- 26:51Speaker 1: mean in this case, I don't mean like it's a
- 26:53Speaker 1: sausage party. Like, um, you get there and the ladies
- 26:58Speaker 1: ain't showed up yet.
- 26:59Speaker 5: Right.
- 26:59Speaker 1: We're supposed to be ladies free before 11, but apparently
- 27:02Speaker 1: nobody told him.
- 27:02Speaker 2: And then you just look around us, but you know,
- 27:04Speaker 2: the ratio was all off. I don't mean that kind.
- 27:06Speaker 2: I mean, this more like it's a bunch of dudes
- 27:09Speaker 2: in a dorm or at a sleepaway camp. or something
- 27:12Speaker 2: like that.
- 27:12Speaker 3: Or Vegas for the first weekend of the NCAA tournament.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 27:15Speaker 1: And so invariably some roughhousing comes up when you have
- 27:19Speaker 1: this sort of thing happen. Anyway, I bring that up
- 27:21Speaker 1: to say, I don't know who the new general manager
- 27:26Speaker 1: is in Minnesota, but whoever it is, shouldn't him and
- 27:29Speaker 1: Omar Khan have to like wrestle at some bar in
- 27:34Speaker 1: the winter against Kyler Murray?
- 27:37Speaker 3: That would be more interesting to watch than the actual combine.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh, I mean, let's be clear. I'd watch that.
- 27:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:44Speaker 3: GM fights? Yeah, for sure.
- 27:46Speaker 1: If you're telling me that you just watched the combine
- 27:48Speaker 1: in case a GM fight breaks out, hey, okay, I
- 27:52Speaker 1: see you. But no, if you're one of these teams
- 27:56Speaker 1: that needs a quarterback, that would be, and you're telling
- 28:00Speaker 1: me he's available? Like, I would get an Arizona. Like,
- 28:03Speaker 1: what are you going to do? Are they going to
- 28:05Speaker 1: bring Brissette back again?
- 28:08Speaker 3: I mean, Brissette, drafting someone, they seem to be potentially-
- 28:12Speaker 3: Who are they.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Going to draft? Well, I don't even know if we
- 28:15Speaker 2: got one quarterback in this draft.
- 28:19Speaker 3: This is my favorite part of the combine, too, is
- 28:21Speaker 3: people convincing themselves they like mediocre quarterbacks. Oh, yeah. We're there.
- 28:26Speaker 1: He did a great job throwing it against the ghost man.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Like, he ain't seen the ghost man. The ghost man
- 28:30Speaker 2: had his.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Hand right there, and he just dropped it right over
- 28:33Speaker 1: the ghost man, and he made the catch. No, like,
- 28:35Speaker 1: I'm just, I mean, I'm looking at every scenario here,
- 28:37Speaker 1: and it blows my mind that we're talking about Kyler Murray. Like,
- 28:41Speaker 1: he has been put in the maybe he could have
- 28:43Speaker 1: a Sam Darnold-like resurrection. Kyler Murray should come find you,
- 28:47Speaker 1: stand on a phone book, and slap you in the
- 28:49Speaker 1: face for saying that.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Like, there's never... He's in a completely... He has never
- 28:59Speaker 2: been where Sam Darnold was.
- 29:01Speaker 3: No, not even close.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Not even close.
- 29:04Speaker 1: But I feel like that's the way we talk about him.
- 29:07Speaker 1: The talent is still there.
- 29:08Speaker 2: He's 28.
- 29:09Speaker 1: He'll only be like Speedy Gonzalez fast, a roadrunner, but
- 29:16Speaker 1: for so long. We recognize that.
- 29:20Speaker 2: And, of course, there's the size part. I'm not saying
- 29:22Speaker 2: there are no negatives here.
- 29:25Speaker 1: And from Minnesota, I understand the real issue is y'all
- 29:29Speaker 1: got to have at least one quarterback somebody likes.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Like, can you imagine what it would be like to
- 29:34Speaker 2: be Kevin O'Connell, who clearly can't stand J.J.
- 29:37Speaker 3: McCartney?
- 29:38Speaker 1: He's clearly not the only one right but then you
- 29:41Speaker 1: also give him Kyler Murray well.
- 29:46Speaker 3: If you're the quarterback whisper whisper you know.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Yeah I mean figure it out let me ask you this.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Well that's more rhetorical but for anybody I would assume
- 29:56Speaker 1: right now that people think that Sam Darnold is a
- 29:59Speaker 1: better quarterback than Kyler Murray. By how much and why exactly?
- 30:04Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Like, two years ago, you wouldn't.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Have dreamed of saying that.
- 30:11Speaker 1: I just don't see this Kyler Murray has fallen off
- 30:15Speaker 1: completely thing.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Would you rather have Kyler Murray or Baker Mayfield?
- 30:21Speaker 2: Ooh, that is interesting. Because they're both.
- 30:26Speaker 2: They're both starting quarterbacks.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Would you rather have Kyler Murray or Bryce Young?
- 30:32Speaker 2: Kyler Murray, not even close.
- 30:34Speaker 3: Would you rather have Kyler Murray or Jalen Hurts?
- 30:40Speaker 2: I would rather have Kyler Murray.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Would you rather have Kyler Murray or Brock Purdy?
- 30:47Speaker 1: Ooh.
- 30:49Speaker 4: Okay.
- 30:52Speaker 1: I would rather have Kyler Murray, comma, but I can't
- 30:57Speaker 1: confidently say he's better than Brock Purdy. And that's because
- 31:01Speaker 1: this Brock, even if I can acknowledge he's better than
- 31:05Speaker 1: I ever thought he would be, that'll be an outlaw.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Would you rather have Kyler Murray or Bo Nix?
- 31:11Speaker 2: Kyler Murray. You know what?
- 31:13Speaker 1: I think the way to play this game is where
- 31:14Speaker 1: it gets fun is if we, if we plugged Kyler
- 31:17Speaker 1: Murray into some of those situations that we're talking about,
- 31:20Speaker 1: for example, if Kyler Murray were the quarterback of the
- 31:23Speaker 1: Seattle Seahawks, how much different.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Do you think the results would be?
- 31:27Speaker 1: If Kyler Murray were the quarterback of the Denver Broncos,
- 31:31Speaker 1: how much different would the results be?
- 31:34Speaker 3: I think if Kyler Murray were the quarterback of the
- 31:35Speaker 3: Philadelphia Eagles, we'd have a happy A.J.
- 31:37Speaker 7: Brown.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Brother, I think that you and I have been working
- 31:41Speaker 1: together a little too long because I was about.
- 31:44Speaker 3: To say the exact.
- 31:45Speaker 5: Oh, no, no, no.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I love the fact that you had and I was
- 31:48Speaker 1: going to say the exact same thing.
- 31:51Speaker 2: I bet you A.J.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Brown wishes Kyler was the quarterback of the Eagles. Yeah,
- 31:56Speaker 1: I bet he badly wishes that that was the case of.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Ooh, what do we do with C.J. Stroud? C.J.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Stroud's a hard one.
- 32:08Speaker 1: The Kyler Murray game is fun. Now that we're here
- 32:12Speaker 1: playing it, this is a good time.
- 32:14Speaker 3: Do you think they'd have a similar situation? Do you
- 32:17Speaker 3: think they'd be just as good if you flip-flopped Dak
- 32:20Speaker 3: Prescott and Kyler Murray?
- 32:22Speaker 1: No, I think Dak Prescott is better than him. I
- 32:25Speaker 1: think that, I think, yes, I think that Dak Prescott
- 32:29Speaker 1: is better than Kyler Murray.
- 32:32Speaker 3: I do too. I think that is like my exact... Like,
- 32:36Speaker 3: once you get past, like, 12.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Anything's possible.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Anything's possible.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and this is, if he's available, I think the
- 32:48Speaker 1: league is going to jump on. I think all we've
- 32:50Speaker 1: been talking is about to whittle away and go away.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Because if you're telling me that if I don't get
- 32:58Speaker 1: Kyler Murray, I got to go get Tua or 35-year-old Gino,
- 33:00Speaker 1: if he's 35.
- 33:06Speaker 3: Or the corpse of Aaron Rodgers.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Or $ 30 million a year to Malik Willis. And by
- 33:10Speaker 1: the way, somebody's going to do it and I think
- 33:12Speaker 1: there's a good chance it.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Could work out. We are far removed from watching Malik
- 33:18Speaker 2: Willis be abject.
- 33:20Speaker 3: For sure.
- 33:21Speaker 2: We are way past that.
- 33:25Speaker 1: I just don't... I wouldn't... I would not want it
- 33:29Speaker 1: to be my $ 30 million.
- 33:33Speaker 2: But I would be happy for it when he receives it.

- 36:20Speaker 3: We got you.
- 36:22Speaker 4: Now, if you haven't heard.
- 36:25Speaker 3: All right, if you haven't heard, there's a war. The U.S.
- 36:32Speaker 3: has bombed Iran, and people started betting on it. On
- 36:35Speaker 3: a pot market, at least $ 200 million was staked on
- 36:38Speaker 3: four wagers relating to the U.S. stakes in Iran. Kalshi
- 36:42Speaker 3: had to put out this tweet. The odds that the
- 36:45Speaker 3: Ayatollah is out of the Supreme Leader has surged to 68%. Reminder,
- 36:50Speaker 3: Kalshi does not offer markets that settle on death. Beau,
- 36:54Speaker 3: what was your reaction to this?
- 36:55Speaker 1: Hey, man, there is somebody who works there that's like,
- 36:58Speaker 1: I can't keep doing this.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Right.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Imagine you being the person at the meeting where they're
- 37:05Speaker 1: talking about all of these things that are happening.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Or you have to raise your hand. So what's our
- 37:12Speaker 3: rule if he dies?
- 37:13Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:14Speaker 1: So how exactly? I can't believe this is life, right?
- 37:18Speaker 1: Like this sounds like parody or satire.
- 37:21Speaker 3: Right, right.
- 37:23Speaker 2: I will say this.
- 37:24Speaker 1: I don't feel like getting into the real nitty gritty
- 37:28Speaker 1: of the war. And I guess if there's an even
- 37:32Speaker 1: countless war, I don't know what all was. I don't
- 37:35Speaker 1: I don't know where to go.
- 37:35Speaker 3: OK, I mean, I think people in Congress are going
- 37:37Speaker 3: to be debating this next week.
- 37:39Speaker 1: So I'm going to make two points or just two
- 37:41Speaker 1: observations that I have that we could all deal with
- 37:43Speaker 1: right now. Number one, I remember the first I told
- 37:47Speaker 1: first I told her, for those of you who are
- 37:49Speaker 1: too young, was a really big deal.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Like whenever it was that.
- 37:53Speaker 1: It was time, like back in the day, we talked
- 37:56Speaker 1: about dictators a lot more.
- 37:58Speaker 2: You know what I mean? But he was a tier
- 38:01Speaker 2: one bad person. We talked about him all the time.
- 38:04Speaker 2: And then he died.
- 38:06Speaker 1: And I don't know why, but the next Ayatollah, we
- 38:09Speaker 1: don't really, we never really bring him up very much.
- 38:12Speaker 1: In spite of the fact that apparently he's so evil
- 38:15Speaker 1: that you got to smoke his ass and all his
- 38:16Speaker 1: partners right where they stand.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Are you saying we used to be a proper country
- 38:21Speaker 3: because we knew who our dictators were?
- 38:23Speaker 1: No, I'm trying to figure out how it is that
- 38:25Speaker 1: this Ayatollah never caught on.
- 38:28Speaker 3: It's like the new Kim Jong doesn't really catch on
- 38:30Speaker 3: like that.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Yeah, no, but that's what I'm saying. We've known all
- 38:32Speaker 1: the Kims, right? As that has gone on. But with
- 38:35Speaker 1: this right here, I'm just very surprised that we... it's
- 38:40Speaker 1: been the same one for 37 years and people don't
- 38:45Speaker 1: know his name or nothing like that.
- 38:47Speaker 3: I didn't even try to pronounce it.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it had just been Iran. We never got to
- 38:53Speaker 1: the particulars of it. I just personally don't understand how
- 38:57Speaker 1: that happened or why. Number two, I cannot imagine That
- 39:06Speaker 1: I finally, if you were the type of person who
- 39:08Speaker 1: would want to do this, and I'm not. You finally
- 39:11Speaker 1: stacked up your bread. You got on that plane. And
- 39:15Speaker 1: you took your vacation to Dubai. And your hotel is
- 39:19Speaker 1: getting bombed.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Private flights are going for six figures out of there.
- 39:27Speaker 1: $ 325, 000.
- 39:27Speaker 2: It's one thing to go somewhere and get its hurricanes.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Right?
- 39:30Speaker 2: Like, oh, damn. They are bombing Dubai, the airport. They're like, nah, man. Y'all, y'all,
- 39:38Speaker 2: you can't be serious right now. No, but they are.
- 39:41Speaker 2: This is what happened.
- 39:42Speaker 1: I can't think of anything where one thing happened and
- 39:45Speaker 1: then the other team was like, all right, everybody getting it.
- 39:52Speaker 2: Anybody that's staying with you that's close to us, they
- 39:54Speaker 2: ain't going to get it. And this has only been
- 39:57Speaker 2: a couple of days. It has only been... That was
- 40:02Speaker 2: the other part.
- 40:03Speaker 1: Trump was like, hey, man, here's what we're going to do.
- 40:06Speaker 1: We're going to bomb them and then y'all can go
- 40:11Speaker 1: take over your country. Which, on paper, may not sound
- 40:17Speaker 1: like the worst idea. In application, the probability of chaos
- 40:24Speaker 1: is very, very high.
- 40:26Speaker 3: If we've learned anything for the last 60 years, it's
- 40:28Speaker 3: a little bit harder on paper than it is in
- 40:30Speaker 3: real life than it is on paper.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Particularly there.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Yes.
- 40:35Speaker 8: And that's 70 years almost, but yes, particularly there.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Have you seen Argo?
- 40:39Speaker 3: Yes.
- 40:41Speaker 1: Argo made me rethink something. By the way, I watched
- 40:43Speaker 1: Argo on a plane. And that was a shockingly emotional experience.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Altitude does that, right? But when they was trying to
- 40:51Speaker 1: get through the airport at the end, I've never been
- 40:53Speaker 1: more on edge in my life. But that scene made
- 40:56Speaker 1: me think about something that nobody talks about when it
- 40:58Speaker 1: comes to overthrowing the government. Everybody want to overthrow the
- 41:02Speaker 1: government so they can do all the top line stuff.
- 41:06Speaker 1: But once you overthrow the government, you are also responsible
- 41:09Speaker 1: for the government.
- 41:11Speaker 2: And so in Argo.
- 41:12Speaker 3: The bureaucracy of the government.
- 41:13Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah.
- 41:14Speaker 1: So in Argo, it was watching who the dudes were
- 41:17Speaker 1: that are looking at passports. They're just dudes in camouflage
- 41:20Speaker 1: with guns. They didn't get into this to be looking
- 41:23Speaker 1: at your fucking passport.
- 41:24Speaker 2: Nobody wants to do that. Right? And so they're like, hey,
- 41:28Speaker 2: we're going to overthrow the government. Okay, then you overthrow
- 41:30Speaker 2: the government. Somebody's got to run it. And it's like,
- 41:33Speaker 2: who's going to work the airport? What do you mean?
- 41:35Speaker 2: I don't want to work the airport.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Like, there's not one person associated with that revolution that's like, yo,
- 41:39Speaker 1: once I get this.
- 41:40Speaker 3: I want to be TSA.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Yeah, school lunches? I'll be in charge of that.
- 41:45Speaker 3: No!
- 41:47Speaker 2: No!
- 41:48Speaker 1: So we did this for you. Now you can overthrow
- 41:50Speaker 1: the government. There's a whole lot of cats that was like, hey, man,
- 41:52Speaker 1: we ain't like him, but we wasn't trying to do
- 41:55Speaker 1: his job.
- 41:56Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 41:57Speaker 1: There's a reason why we didn't do this ourselves. And
- 42:00Speaker 1: this is an awful man, just to be clear.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Yeah, not a fan.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 42:03Speaker 1: But I'm just saying, we killed your leader so that
- 42:08Speaker 1: you could take over.
- 42:10Speaker 2: I mean, thanks?
- 42:14Speaker 3: All right, speaking of headlines that don't sound real, the
- 42:18Speaker 3: Atlanta Hawks will host a Magic City Monday. Women Pepper
- 42:22Speaker 3: Wings will be on the menu. TI is going to perform.
- 42:25Speaker 3: This will happen in the next few weeks. Of course,
- 42:27Speaker 3: Magic City, famous Atlanta strip club. Bo, what was your
- 42:31Speaker 3: reaction when you heard this news?
- 42:33Speaker 2: Okay, so.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Number one, Maybe I'm just becoming a bit more prudish
- 42:41Speaker 1: in my old age. But we don't need to mainstream
- 42:45Speaker 1: the strip club that far.
- 42:47Speaker 2: We know where it's at. You know what I'm saying? Like,
- 42:50Speaker 2: we don't need to. I don't know.
- 42:52Speaker 1: But number two, I heard you say that they was
- 42:58Speaker 1: going to have wings. I heard you say that T.I.
- 43:04Speaker 1: was going to perform.
- 43:06Speaker 2: You know what I didn't hear you say? Anything about dancers.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Everything I've heard about Magic City night at State Farm
- 43:20Speaker 1: Arena has sounded like the city, but I ain't heard
- 43:23Speaker 1: shit about no magic. The wings ain't that good. I
- 43:31Speaker 1: go to Magic City just for the wings. Lying ass.
- 43:34Speaker 1: If you do, you're doing it really wrong.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Okay?
- 43:38Speaker 1: But if it's Magic City night and all it is
- 43:41Speaker 1: is wings and T.I., I would stay at home. Or
- 43:49Speaker 1: maybe I'd go to Magic City where they will have
- 43:52Speaker 1: wings and they won't have T.I., but they'll have something
- 43:56Speaker 1: I'd like a lot more in 2026.
- 44:00Speaker 3: All right. And finally, Fox Sports debuted a new feature
- 44:04Speaker 3: on its app where there is an AI Colin Cowherd.
- 44:07Speaker 3: You can, you know, ask him anything, get his opinions,
- 44:09Speaker 3: get his takes. I asked AI Colin Cowherd, should Bomani
- 44:13Speaker 3: Jones get his own AI app? This is what it said.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Bomani Jones deserves his own AI app because he's a
- 44:20Speaker 3: trailblazer in sports media, consistently pushing boundaries with his unfiltered
- 44:24Speaker 3: opinions and sharp analysis. His commentary on athletes like Deion
- 44:28Speaker 3: Sanders is and controversies surrounding Serena Williams has shown he's
- 44:31Speaker 3: not afraid to tackle tough topics. Jones has also been
- 44:34Speaker 3: vocal about the state of sports media, criticizing the quote
- 44:37Speaker 3: stick to sports crowd and highlighting the influence of athletes
- 44:40Speaker 3: and media. Jones has expressed frustration with sports media personalities,
- 44:44Speaker 3: including AI generated takes to boost engagement, calling them quote
- 44:48Speaker 3: fucking dorks. He believes that relying on AI undermines the
- 44:51Speaker 3: value of original thought and authenticity in sports commentary. This
- 44:55Speaker 3: stance demands, demonstrates his commitment to maintaining high standards in
- 44:58Speaker 3: sports media. Creating an AI app inspired by Jones could
- 45:02Speaker 3: revolutionize how his fans consume sports analysis. It would offer
- 45:06Speaker 3: a unique blend of his insightful commentary and sharp wit,
- 45:10Speaker 3: potentially changing the sports media landscape. Bo, does this sound
- 45:13Speaker 3: like you?
- 45:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it would revolutionize how my fans get their sports
- 45:21Speaker 1: content by cutting me out! Hey, man, that Colin, that's
- 45:28Speaker 1: a shrewd man. That's a man, his paper is right.
- 45:32Speaker 2: I can't believe he agreed to this.
- 45:33Speaker 1: Hey, hey, hey, why don't you make it a little
- 45:36Speaker 1: easier to replace me next go round?
- 45:37Speaker 2: Hell no, I ain't, no. This is fucking ridiculous. I
- 45:40Speaker 2: couldn't believe, I can't.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Believe, no, not in any way whatsoever do I want any,
- 45:46Speaker 1: any parts of this. And as we have talked about before,
- 45:50Speaker 1: when it comes to AI versions of me, Remember when
- 45:54Speaker 1: we did that that one day, Ryan?
- 45:56Speaker 3: I do remember that one day.
- 45:57Speaker 2: It was really racist, guys.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Like, not offensively racist, but it wasn't, like, flattering racist.
- 46:08Speaker 2: I don't know if.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Okay, there is a sort of flattering racist, but I
- 46:13Speaker 1: don't want to talk about that right now with my
- 46:15Speaker 1: mama there.
- 46:21Speaker 3: All right, Bo, got some voicemails, a lot of good ones.
- 46:24Speaker 3: Here's the first. How you doing, Bo?
- 46:28Speaker 7: This is Jay from Boston, and I have a question
- 46:31Speaker 7: for you about the NBA. Pat Riley, at his recent
- 46:35Speaker 7: Hall of Fame speech, made it clear that he wanted
- 46:40Speaker 7: NBA coaches on the sidelines to go back to wearing suits.
- 46:45Speaker 7: while I grew up in the era where Iverson was
- 46:48Speaker 7: obviously demonized for the way he dressed and David Stern
- 46:52Speaker 7: enacted a much tougher dress code that sort of morphed
- 46:56Speaker 7: into the sideline turned into runway that we kind of
- 47:01Speaker 7: have going on now. I appreciate the freedom of coaches
- 47:08Speaker 7: wearing what they want, but as a longtime fan, I
- 47:11Speaker 7: can't deny that suits on the sideline bring an air of,
- 47:17Speaker 7: I don't know, seriousness or gravity that, you know, on
- 47:20Speaker 7: many levels, we all know the game, especially in the
- 47:23Speaker 7: regular season, is lacking. Doc Rivers had come up with
- 47:27Speaker 7: a bit of a compromise when asked about it by
- 47:29Speaker 7: The Athletic, and he said that maybe coaches should, you know,
- 47:33Speaker 7: wear what they want to wear during the regular season,
- 47:35Speaker 7: but ship the suits for the playoffs to show, you know,
- 47:39Speaker 7: the seriousness of you know, playoff series. I think that's also,
- 47:43Speaker 7: you know, potentially a decent compromise, but I did want
- 47:46Speaker 7: to hear your thoughts about coaches going back to wearing
- 47:50Speaker 7: suits on the sidelines. Long time fan of the show.
- 47:54Speaker 4: Love what you're doing.
- 47:55Speaker 3: Have a great day.
- 47:59Speaker 2: I am 100% in agreement with Pat Riley on this
- 48:02Speaker 2: because it's part of the show.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Yeah, it's good for the TV show.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it's also, look, let's stop acting like we don't
- 48:10Speaker 1: understand how things work, right? The suit, it is a
- 48:14Speaker 1: signal of seriousness, right? Like, you're the guy in the suit.
- 48:18Speaker 1: Why should anybody listen to you? You out here wearing
- 48:21Speaker 1: a pullover.
- 48:23Speaker 2: I have to say.
- 48:25Speaker 3: This is a little bit of a, you know, Pat Rodgers, who...
- 48:29Speaker 3: clearly looks better than most people in a suit.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Yeah yeah yeah but he's like yeah yeah everyone but.
- 48:33Speaker 1: These cats ain't talking this because they don't look good
- 48:35Speaker 1: in suits they talking this because they lazy and they
- 48:38Speaker 1: just want to throw the pullover all no man it's
- 48:41Speaker 1: a part of the show now it i think the
- 48:44Speaker 1: suit thing was actually better when the coaches were a
- 48:46Speaker 1: little worse dressed right like i'll never forget this is
- 48:49Speaker 1: i don't know doug moe died recently right he rest
- 48:52Speaker 1: in peace i'll be you you'd have no reason to
- 48:53Speaker 1: remember when doug moe was the coach of the Nuggets.
- 48:56Speaker 1: But I remember when Dan Issel became the coach of
- 48:58Speaker 1: the Nuggets, he played for Mo with the Nuggets and
- 49:00Speaker 1: he went to college at Kentucky and played under Adolph Rupp.
- 49:04Speaker 2: And just to give you an idea of what kind.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Of man Doug Mo was, Issel said in his first game,
- 49:09Speaker 1: as a tribute to Adolph Rupp, I'm going to wear
- 49:11Speaker 1: a brown suit.
- 49:12Speaker 2: As a tribute to Doug Moe, I'm going to wear
- 49:14Speaker 2: black shoes.
- 49:16Speaker 1: Because Doug Moe's shit was always super sloppy all over
- 49:19Speaker 1: the place. But there's something to be said for being
- 49:21Speaker 1: the coach that can't get it right. I don't know.
- 49:26Speaker 1: Everybody looks the same and The significance of coaching has
- 49:32Speaker 1: dwindled in so many ways, right? Like the idea that
- 49:36Speaker 1: the coach matters in basketball has fallen off. In baseball,
- 49:40Speaker 1: it's the same way, right? And I don't think that's
- 49:43Speaker 1: good for the product, actually. I think that they are
- 49:46Speaker 1: part of the show. They are part of the tapestry,
- 49:48Speaker 1: the mosaic, and all of these things.
- 49:51Speaker 2: And dressing like.
- 49:54Speaker 1: This game matters or like you're an important person in this,
- 49:58Speaker 1: I think.
- 49:59Speaker 2: I think those things matter, right? I think those things
- 50:02Speaker 2: go somewhere.
- 50:04Speaker 1: And it was a thing that came around during the pandemic,
- 50:12Speaker 1: and it made sense during the pandemic, okay?
- 50:16Speaker 2: But y'all don't work from home. So, like, come on, man.
- 50:22Speaker 1: Of course, I show up here with wrinkled sweatshirts on
- 50:24Speaker 1: every week, but that's a part of this show.
- 50:27Speaker 2: That show is different.
- 50:28Speaker 3: All right, here's our next one.
- 50:30Speaker 6: Well, what up, Bo? This Shaq from OP. And, bro,
- 50:35Speaker 6: I've been listening to you for a long time, over
- 50:37Speaker 6: 10 years. I appreciate everything that you, you know, say
- 50:42Speaker 6: and do and everything. And from a lot of listeners,
- 50:46Speaker 6: they probably don't.
- 50:47Speaker 3: Know what OP stands for.
- 50:48Speaker 7: I'm from Opelousas.
- 50:51Speaker 6: And I know you and Ryan, well, your pops is
- 50:55Speaker 6: from Odell, Ryan from Lafayette. And I think we all...
- 51:00Speaker 6: got to a point in our lives when we were,
- 51:03Speaker 6: we are, can't go back all-stars, all of us. My
- 51:14Speaker 6: question for you, Bo, is who are the new age.
- 51:20Speaker 3: Can't go back all-stars? Because we got the old school.
- 51:22Speaker 6: Can't go backs. Now who are these youngsters now for
- 51:27Speaker 6: the can't go backs? All right, Bo, appreciate you.
- 51:30Speaker 5: Later.
- 51:30Speaker 2: All right, you know, we ain't got as many as
- 51:33Speaker 2: we used to, Ryan. This is becoming, but all right.
- 51:35Speaker 2: Anthony Edwards, we absolutely know.
- 51:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:39Speaker 2: He is on that list. As I recall, Jonathan.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Kaminga moved himself from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
- 51:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:52Speaker 3: I did not know this.
- 51:53Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 51:54Speaker 2: He ain't going back. I tell you that right now.
- 51:57Speaker 8: Who else?
- 51:57Speaker 3: Does Giannis count? Yes.
- 52:01Speaker 2: The man who didn't, who wasn't even a citizen.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:05Speaker 2: They wouldn't even give him a passport. Yeah, I would.
- 52:09Speaker 1: The man who, by the way, they say still like
- 52:11Speaker 1: come pick up leftover food.
- 52:12Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 52:13Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 52:14Speaker 2: And put it like this. He believes that he can't
- 52:17Speaker 2: go back.
- 52:19Speaker 8: All that matters that yeah yeah that that that certainly
- 52:23Speaker 8: would uh will put him on the list i tell
- 52:25Speaker 8: you this i looked at bones highland he was about
- 52:27Speaker 8: to punch valachunas in the face on saturday he looked
- 52:31Speaker 8: like he in that boat.
- 52:34Speaker 3: For sure all right here's our.
- 52:35Speaker 4: Next one hey what's up boat this is uh john
- 52:39Speaker 4: collin from charlotte and uh i just got a question
- 52:42Speaker 4: man um Where did we lose with R & B? Like,
- 52:47Speaker 4: why is R & B popping like it used to?
- 52:49Speaker 4: And I'm asking because I recently bought my pops vinyl records,
- 52:52Speaker 4: and I know he's a big Josie fan. I've been
- 52:54Speaker 4: jamming it out to him. Man, they got some good stuff.
- 52:56Speaker 4: I just want to know, like, where did we lose
- 52:58Speaker 4: the recipe when it came to R & B? I
- 53:00Speaker 4: appreciate it.
- 53:00Speaker 1: You know, I don't even– the thing that's gotten me
- 53:05Speaker 1: is that if you're a certain age, and I feel
- 53:08Speaker 1: like if you were asking that question, you're probably of
- 53:09Speaker 1: this age, You don't know anything about contemporary R &
- 53:13Speaker 1: B that doesn't sound like rap or doesn't come with
- 53:16Speaker 1: a rap verse or have the imaging of such.
- 53:20Speaker 2: And it really was just one of those things where
- 53:22Speaker 2: you just looked up and it happened. You know, like
- 53:24Speaker 2: you go.
- 53:25Speaker 1: See, the problem is, stuff that don't seem like that
- 53:27Speaker 1: long ago is, but I'm like, man, if you think
- 53:29Speaker 1: about 06, okay, that was 20 years ago.
- 53:31Speaker 3: 20 years ago.
- 53:32Speaker 1: Right, but like, if you go to that point, you know,
- 53:35Speaker 1: or the end of the aughts, I mean, there's still
- 53:38Speaker 1: R & B out there, like, you know, played on
- 53:41Speaker 1: the same stages with the rap, played alongside of it
- 53:43Speaker 1: that is clearly not rap, right?
- 53:45Speaker 2: It does not necessarily have that influence.
- 53:47Speaker 1: You just looked up one day and it was out
- 53:49Speaker 1: of here, but what's wild about it is, the people
- 53:51Speaker 1: that sell a zillion, not all, like, all of them, obviously,
- 53:54Speaker 1: but like, Adele is singing a form of R &
- 53:57Speaker 1: B music and she still makes zillions of dollars doing that.
- 54:00Speaker 2: Bruno Mars was making zillions of dollars doing that. Anderson.
- 54:04Speaker 2: Paak' s my.
- 54:05Speaker 1: Favorite and he has his own lane along there, but
- 54:08Speaker 1: it's out there and the people who do it are
- 54:11Speaker 1: hugely successful. So sometimes I feel like it's a misplaced question,
- 54:15Speaker 1: but I know exactly why you were asking the question
- 54:18Speaker 1: and I don't ever have a great answer. for how
- 54:20Speaker 1: it is that it, you know, got to that place. But,
- 54:25Speaker 1: you know, like I do wonder this, right? Like at
- 54:26Speaker 1: talent shows, the kids get up and sing at talent
- 54:29Speaker 1: shows anymore because singing don't seem to be like what.
- 54:33Speaker 2: The game is.
- 54:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I wonder if we're just almost too cynical.
- 54:38Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 54:39Speaker 3: Not sincere enough for that sort of music.
- 54:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but I think the problem for me.
- 54:43Speaker 3: I think the counter to that is, again, Adele makes
- 54:45Speaker 3: zillions of dollars. Yeah, yeah.
- 54:46Speaker 1: But the problem for me is I don't listen to
- 54:48Speaker 1: radio because I'm never in a car.
- 54:50Speaker 3: Same.
- 54:50Speaker 1: So I don't... I can't say with any accuracy myself
- 54:54Speaker 1: how these things are curated to say that there is
- 54:57Speaker 1: no more blank. Because every now and then somebody will
- 54:59Speaker 1: hit me up with somebody that, like, it'll feel to
- 55:02Speaker 1: me more like music for somebody my age than for
- 55:06Speaker 1: somebody young.
- 55:07Speaker 3: You know?
- 55:08Speaker 1: So I don't... Damn, I'm so old. I don't even
- 55:12Speaker 1: know if I can– I'm not even allowed to talk
- 55:14Speaker 1: about this no more.
- 55:15Speaker 2: Ain't that something?
- 55:16Speaker 3: All right, here's our last one.
- 55:19Speaker 5: Hey, Bo and Ryan, this is Matt from New Orleans.
- 55:22Speaker 5: I knew a white man who I knew as Dan
- 55:25Speaker 5: for eight years, and I got his wedding invitation, and
- 55:28Speaker 5: it turns out his name was Denarius.
- 55:32Speaker 3: Keep up the good work. I think that's the same
- 55:35Speaker 3: face Matt made as well.
- 55:38Speaker 1: He hung up that phone like Larry Bird in the
- 55:41Speaker 1: three-point contest.
- 55:42Speaker 2: Dragonfly Joe said that once on Twitter about somebody.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Oh, I think he said when that dude hit Roland
- 55:47Speaker 1: Martin with both of these nuts back in the day.
- 55:49Speaker 1: That is my image forever when somebody knows it's going in, right?
- 55:53Speaker 2: He dropped that one.
- 55:54Speaker 1: He was like, he knew when he hung up that
- 55:56Speaker 1: he was going to be on the show.
- 55:58Speaker 3: For sure.
- 55:58Speaker 2: He has stuck around the whole time to get to
- 56:02Speaker 2: this point.
