- 0:00Speaker 1: I think he's more so just playing timid. He's playing.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Game manager football, trying to play mistake-free this, that, and
- 0:10Speaker 2: the third. And with that, it's slowing him down tremendously
- 0:13Speaker 2: and it's hurting him. Just let it go. You're not
- 0:15Speaker 2: going to let it go. Like Jennings, for example. Jennings
- 0:18Speaker 2: had three down, two interceptions.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Two interceptions.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Still was ripping it 26-36, throwing it like it was
- 0:24Speaker 2: nothing because he's confident in what he can do. 430 yards,
- 0:26Speaker 2: throwing the ball downfield. giving his receivers a chance. And
- 0:30Speaker 2: we have some of the better receivers in the ACC.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong.
- 0:32Speaker 2: We have some of the better receivers in the ACC,
- 0:35Speaker 2: but we got to get those guys the ball. We
- 0:37Speaker 2: got to get those guys the ball. Trust that you
- 0:39Speaker 2: have some of the better receivers in the ACC. We
- 0:41Speaker 2: don't need, I mean, shit you what, it was like
- 0:44Speaker 2: 25 touchdowns of 23 interceptions. I don't know the exact stat,
- 0:47Speaker 2: but pretty much 20 touchdowns, 20 plus touchdowns and 20
- 0:51Speaker 2: plus interceptions in his career.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Don't change now. You are who you are. Be the
- 0:56Speaker 1: fucking gunslinger. Throw that bitch around. Let's make plays.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Because how you're playing is hurting the offense in general
- 1:03Speaker 2: because that game manager stuff and being too careful, it's
- 1:07Speaker 2: not going to work. It's just making things look a
- 1:09Speaker 2: lot slower than what it is. Like you had the Deuce,
- 1:12Speaker 2: Deuce Robinson. Deuce has to make that catch. That's what
- 1:16Speaker 2: a great receiver does. A high draft pick receiver makes
- 1:18Speaker 2: that catch. Now, granted, the defensive back played that perfectly
- 1:21Speaker 2: and didn't play this technique perfectly.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Played through Deuce's hands. Brought the ball up. But Deuce
- 1:27Speaker 1: had about two or three steps on that guy.
- 1:29Speaker 2: With another five or so yards, five to ten yards
- 1:35Speaker 2: of actual playing field, another ten yards of the end zone.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Let it go. Lead him.
- 1:40Speaker 2: There's no way in hell with him having to step.
- 1:42Speaker 2: He has to slow down and try to high point
- 1:43Speaker 2: the ball. Deuce should be running right up in that ball.
- 1:45Speaker 2: This should be running right in his hands.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Let it go. So, yeah, missed throws like that. It
- 1:50Speaker 1: was just under throws left from right.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Missed.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Didn't see guys. 123 yards is just crazy, man. I
- 1:56Speaker 2: feel bad for Deuce for coming back. I think he
- 1:58Speaker 2: only had like four or five targets. You don't come
- 2:01Speaker 2: back for this. You're pretty much hurting your stock coming
- 2:04Speaker 2: back for this. I don't see him having, based upon
- 2:08Speaker 2: these two games, the same season he had last year
- 2:10Speaker 2: at all. For all the time he shortcomings this time,
- 2:15Speaker 2: he didn't mind letting that ball go. He didn't mind
- 2:17Speaker 2: giving your 6'7 receiver a chance. That's why I feel
- 2:20Speaker 2: like with Daniels, we have to give these guys a chance.
- 2:23Speaker 2: We have a lot of receivers from a playmaker standpoint
- 2:25Speaker 2: that can make things shake. We just have to give
- 2:27Speaker 2: these guys a chance and make things shake. But Ashton
- 2:31Speaker 2: Daniels did not look good at all passing the football.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I mean, he just– it didn't look pretty. It was
- 2:36Speaker 2: an ugly performance from that end. The running game, the
- 2:44Speaker 2: running game. Let's talk about the running game a little bit. Colmar,
- 2:50Speaker 2: 22 carries, 116 yards, one touchdown.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Pretty good.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Sam Singleton, 7 with 24. Not getting to get a
- 2:55Speaker 2: little bit more touches. I was wondering what happened to
- 2:59Speaker 2: Trey Wiseman. I'm not sure if he was hurt just
- 3:02Speaker 2: that in third, but he played literally no snaps after
- 3:04Speaker 2: looking really good against the Mets.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I really think those three backs should.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I'm.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Trying to think from a carry standpoint. I think you
- 3:17Speaker 1: can do.
- 3:20Speaker 1: This is all touches, right? Pass game included.
- 3:23Speaker 2: I think probably about 15 to 17 or 15 to 20,
- 3:26Speaker 2: 15 to 17 per game for Oos. And I want
- 3:29Speaker 2: to say around maybe 10 to 12 for a single
- 3:34Speaker 2: team from a pass.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Standpoint and running.
- 3:36Speaker 2: And then with Trey, probably 8 to 10.
- 3:41Speaker 1: As far as touches. That makes sense in my opinion.
- 3:43Speaker 2: But that's just something small as far as him not
- 3:46Speaker 2: playing because the guys were hot as far as what
- 3:48Speaker 2: we saw from the running back. Utes was kind of
- 3:50Speaker 2: doing his thing, getting hot later in the game. But
- 3:53Speaker 2: that was a question mark for me as to why
- 3:55Speaker 2: we didn't see Trey. Ashton Daniels running the ball. He
- 3:59Speaker 2: had 16 attempts for 71 yards. Even with that, he
- 4:02Speaker 2: looked like he was second guessing running. I've seen Ashton
- 4:05Speaker 2: Daniels running football and him be explosive in that type
- 4:09Speaker 2: of deal. He's a pretty good athlete.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I've seen him.
- 4:12Speaker 2: From Auburn to Stanford, seeing him get out of the pocket, run,
- 4:16Speaker 2: and make damn plays. But for whatever reason, he was
- 4:18Speaker 2: hesitant a little bit.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Actually, he could have.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Easily had 100 yards rushing this game, in my opinion,
- 4:23Speaker 2: if he didn't hesitate and actually hit it.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Felt like he was second-guessing running. And I don't know, man.
- 4:29Speaker 2: It looked kind of weird with him running the football.
- 4:31Speaker 2: He just had a weird damn game overall. Like everything
- 4:33Speaker 2: was like we were thinking too much. He was just
- 4:39Speaker 2: thinking and processing way too much, in my opinion. Instead
- 4:41Speaker 2: of just reacting and playing damn football. Mike Norville in
- 4:46Speaker 2: a play calling standpoint. I think Mike Norville is coaching.
- 4:52Speaker 2: You get what you pay for, right? You get what
- 4:53Speaker 2: you pay for. I'm going to get to that in
- 4:55Speaker 2: a second. I think Mike Norville is coaching scared. I
- 4:58Speaker 2: think he's coaching to protect the quarterback, to not let
- 5:03Speaker 2: this guy rather do what he does in certain situations. Now,
- 5:06Speaker 2: I did see a few pass plays that Mike did design,
- 5:08Speaker 2: and I guess you could say called. that we're open
- 5:11Speaker 2: for sure that, and that goes back to last week
- 5:14Speaker 2: as well against New Mexico State. We should have scored
- 5:15Speaker 2: 50 easily on those guys if we let go of
- 5:18Speaker 2: the ball in certain situations.
- 5:20Speaker 1: And that was what, you.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Know, Ashton Daniels did the same damn thing as far
- 5:24Speaker 2: as holding the ball too much and I think it
- 5:26Speaker 2: was a combination of Mike Norvell holding him back as
- 5:29Speaker 2: well too and trying to protect it.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Why? Why?
- 5:37Speaker 2: This is pretty much your make or break season, right,
- 5:41Speaker 2: when it comes to your tenure at Florida State. Why
- 5:45Speaker 2: are you handicapping or play-calling scared in certain situations? Is
- 5:49Speaker 2: it because you've got a quarterback and you see what
- 5:51Speaker 2: the hell he does in practice and you're not comfortable
- 5:53Speaker 2: with it?
- 5:54Speaker 1: Again, you get what you pay for. That goes with
- 5:57Speaker 1: the territory. You get what you pay for.
- 5:59Speaker 2: It's been well documented that Florida State, from the quarterback position,
- 6:03Speaker 2: we are pretty much giving out pennies.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Simple as that.
- 6:07Speaker 2: We're not paying top dollar for quarterbacks. We brought in
- 6:09Speaker 2: a few quarterbacks on visits over the offseason. That didn't
- 6:12Speaker 2: work out due to not coming to a common ground
- 6:17Speaker 2: on the number. Ended up settling in on debt with
- 6:19Speaker 2: Ashton Daniels. And what we settled for is pennies in
- 6:25Speaker 2: relation to the market. If you're not paying top dollar
- 6:27Speaker 2: for a quarterback, you want to get that result, man.
- 6:29Speaker 2: That's just what it is. You got to pay a
- 6:30Speaker 2: few million dollars for a quarterback. That's the name of
- 6:33Speaker 2: the game. FSU has to We have to get with
- 6:37Speaker 2: the times if we want to compete in that regard.
- 6:40Speaker 2: We're going to get the same output. But again, this
- 6:42Speaker 2: is what you got within the transfer portal. This is
- 6:45Speaker 2: the result. That falls on you at the end of
- 6:50Speaker 2: the day because this could have been corrected in December.
- 6:53Speaker 2: DJ Lagway. I'm really confident that DJ Lagway would have
- 6:57Speaker 2: been a Florida State Seminole if the number was... I'm
- 7:02Speaker 2: not even saying the number had to be fucking eight
- 7:05Speaker 2: and five.
- 7:05Speaker 1: The number just had to be fair.
- 7:07Speaker 3: That's all.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Lately, I wasn't asking for anything crazy, per sources that
- 7:11Speaker 1: reported to me. Nothing crazy.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I just wanted to be compensated fairly, and the number
- 7:14Speaker 2: that I've heard, there was no reason to not offer it.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I would have offered that.
- 7:19Speaker 4: First.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I would have led with that number, especially what you've
- 7:22Speaker 2: been hearing from these quarterbacks with eight million.
- 7:24Speaker 1: I'm not sure the number.
- 7:24Speaker 2: I think eight million for Mensa at Miami, nine or
- 7:28Speaker 2: ten million for Sam at LSU.
- 7:32Speaker 1: As a quarterback, you're going to get paid, so.
- 7:35Speaker 2: With that being said, we pretty much settled on Ashton Damson.
- 7:38Speaker 1: This is kind of what we got, man.
- 7:39Speaker 3: As a result.
- 7:40Speaker 2: But you live with that from a coaching standpoint because
- 7:44Speaker 2: you're coaching so damn scared and timid. You're play calling.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And again, like I said, he has missed a lot
- 7:48Speaker 2: of throws that weren't open. But this is what you
- 7:52Speaker 2: bargained for. This is what you wanted. You felt like
- 7:55Speaker 2: you didn't want to. Then you pay a running back
- 8:01Speaker 2: a lot of money.
- 8:02Speaker 4: I'm not.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I'm not trying to get into a deep split. You
- 8:04Speaker 1: pay a running back a lot of money. We already
- 8:05Speaker 1: have pretty good damn running backs.
- 8:07Speaker 2: You could have cut that money in half, gave more
- 8:09Speaker 2: to the damn quarterback, and then got you a legit
- 8:11Speaker 2: right or so tackle on the offensive line to really
- 8:13Speaker 2: get things rolling. But again, everything that we at this
- 8:20Speaker 2: staff is going through, wins, losses, I'm not going to
- 8:25Speaker 2: say everything, 90%, 85%, 90%, wins, losses, recruiting, this, that,
- 8:29Speaker 2: and the third, everything that we see, the results, is
- 8:34Speaker 2: a direct reflection on the staff and pretty much self-inflicted wounds.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Stuff they put their self in. Stuff that could have
- 8:41Speaker 2: been avoided early on. You see the results and this
- 8:45Speaker 2: is what we have. And I'm not sure, who did
- 8:53Speaker 2: we run that screen with? Was it Landon Thomas? I
- 8:56Speaker 2: think it was Mekhi Danzy, whatever. It was like third
- 9:00Speaker 2: and fourth out of all. Mike Norvell, his play calling
- 9:04Speaker 2: is ridiculous at certain.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Points, right? It's third and four, and we.
- 9:09Speaker 2: What the hell are we doing at third and four
- 9:10Speaker 2: as a receiver screen? When have we ever converted that
- 9:13Speaker 2: bullshit receiver screen, right? Makai or Landon dropping a damn ball,
- 9:18Speaker 2: the block wasn't there, the receiver never blocked the corner
- 9:20Speaker 2: or the defender on the outside. They're always free to
- 9:23Speaker 2: pretty much make a play on their screen at the
- 9:26Speaker 2: line of scrimmage for a minimum gain or for a loss.
- 9:28Speaker 1: So we saw that.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Throw that.
- 9:32Speaker 2: If I see that end around with Makai Danzig, I'm
- 9:36Speaker 2: going to legit lose my shit. Throw that play completely
- 9:39Speaker 2: out the damn window. Gus Malzahn ran it in the
- 9:43Speaker 2: ground last year. Ran it in the ground to the
- 9:47Speaker 2: point where the second half of the season, we knew
- 9:49Speaker 2: exactly what the defenders knew once that shit was coming.
- 9:53Speaker 2: They was going to bother Makai. And that literally hasn't changed.
- 9:56Speaker 2: That's a big tendency for teams now. And going back
- 9:59Speaker 2: to last year and Gus, I felt like, and I
- 10:01Speaker 2: kept saying this last year, I felt like early on
- 10:04Speaker 2: the Bama game, those two, I think it was the
- 10:08Speaker 2: G5 and FCS team we played after Bama, we kept
- 10:12Speaker 2: running and kept running and kept running.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I was like, okay, Gus is setting us up for something, right?
- 10:16Speaker 1: Because you can do so much with it.
- 10:17Speaker 2: You can play action off the end of the round,
- 10:19Speaker 2: take a deep shot to deuce, whatever, check down, tight end,
- 10:22Speaker 2: or pitman at that point in time, pitman over the middle,
- 10:24Speaker 2: whatever it may be, faking the Danzy, give it to
- 10:29Speaker 2: the running back underneath, hand it off to the running back,
- 10:32Speaker 2: faking the Danzy, do a power whip time. There's so
- 10:35Speaker 2: many things you could have did with that play, so
- 10:37Speaker 2: I felt like we kept running it over and over
- 10:39Speaker 2: to set things up, but shit, that was just a
- 10:41Speaker 2: damn play, and it carried over this season.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Get that play out of the damn playbook.
- 10:45Speaker 2: It clearly isn't working, man, but again, we In our
- 10:49Speaker 2: third down offense, they go 2 for 15 on third down.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Again, losing football. This is losing football.
- 10:57Speaker 2: The only reason this game was so close is the
- 11:00Speaker 2: four turnovers, but they go 2 for 15 on third down.
- 11:03Speaker 2: In our second down, offense is just as bad. I
- 11:07Speaker 2: don't know how many, and we had great first down success.
- 11:11Speaker 2: I don't know how many times we've seen a We
- 11:15Speaker 2: get seven, eight yards on first down. We're in second
- 11:17Speaker 2: and three, second and two, second and four situation. And
- 11:21Speaker 2: we end up putting the ball on the fourth and one,
- 11:24Speaker 2: fourth and two, only gaining one to two to three
- 11:27Speaker 2: yards on the next two plays. Like, I've never seen
- 11:31Speaker 2: anything like it. It's like we– first down is great.
- 11:34Speaker 2: You get into second and third down, man, that shit
- 11:36Speaker 2: gets ugly. That shit gets crazy. Stick to your bread
- 11:40Speaker 2: and butter, man. Like that fourth down– Played the Cromwell,
- 11:44Speaker 2: the toss to the left. Offensive line, I think the
- 11:48Speaker 2: toss was bad. Played McGinnis fucking fourth down.
- 11:50Speaker 1: It was one yard.
- 11:51Speaker 2: If I can't get one damn yard, and I blame
- 11:53Speaker 2: Cromwell as well, too. He hesitated and kind of backtracked.
- 11:57Speaker 1: It was one yard. You got to run into a
- 11:59Speaker 1: motherfucker to try to get that one yard.
- 12:00Speaker 2: But I do have an issue with the pitch, but
- 12:03Speaker 2: the main thing is we weren't blocking nobody at the
- 12:05Speaker 2: point of attack. Physical football whooped them. I don't give
- 12:08Speaker 2: a damn about a pitch when it's one yard at
- 12:11Speaker 2: the game. If we can't– I don't care what the
- 12:14Speaker 2: play is from a run standpoint. If we can't gain
- 12:16Speaker 2: one yard, one yard when needed, offensive line get pushed,
- 12:21Speaker 2: running back, bow your neck, run the motherfucker over to
- 12:23Speaker 2: get that one yard. I don't care what the play is. Like,
- 12:25Speaker 2: if we can't get that, that's a problem. But the
- 12:27Speaker 2: play itself could have been a lot better. We could
- 12:29Speaker 2: have ran inside, that type of quarterback sneak, whatever it
- 12:31Speaker 2: may be. But that was just another atrocity when it
- 12:35Speaker 2: comes to the play calling, man. And then whenever we
- 12:37Speaker 2: get a turnover– We got– with the sudden changes, all
- 12:41Speaker 2: of our sudden changes were three and outs.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Like, you know, I think– I'm not going to– I
- 12:44Speaker 1: think all of them were three and outs.
- 12:46Speaker 2: And the one that wasn't three and outs, like I said,
- 12:47Speaker 2: we kicked the field goal because they mucked the punt
- 12:50Speaker 2: in our territory. But, again, offense is terrible, man. Minor
- 12:55Speaker 2: avail play calling wasn't good. Execution wasn't good. Only reason
- 12:59Speaker 2: it's not being talked about as much is because the
- 13:02Speaker 2: defense was a lot worse and ended up being, you know,
- 13:04Speaker 2: 8 for 14 on third down and gave up close
- 13:06Speaker 2: to 600 yards in the game. So that's what we
- 13:09Speaker 2: have there as far as it being worse. I want
- 13:13Speaker 2: to wrap things up on the offensive side. I want
- 13:19Speaker 2: to wrap things up on the offensive side. I do
- 13:20Speaker 2: want to open things up for the phone lines. Now,
- 13:22Speaker 2: if you guys want to join in and get your
- 13:25Speaker 2: takes off to the show, the time is now. We
- 13:27Speaker 2: don't have too much time as, you know, with it's
- 13:30Speaker 2: been a Monday night and a weeknight. You know, Saturday
- 13:33Speaker 2: morning we kind of hang out for a long time. Well,
- 13:34Speaker 2: Sunday morning, right, we hang out a little bit. Would
- 13:38Speaker 2: have been Tuesday. You know, I know people got a
- 13:41Speaker 2: lot of different other engagements. So, again, hit that link
- 13:43Speaker 2: if you guys want to join the show. It's in
- 13:47Speaker 2: the comments section. We're going to have the call-in portion
- 13:50Speaker 2: of the show. You know, there's two things I did,
- 13:53Speaker 2: and I'll discuss these as well right now. Two stats
- 13:56Speaker 2: that kind of stood out. I saw this on Twitter.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I tried to opt the stats. And this show was like.
- 14:06Speaker 1: And we always have these.
- 14:10Speaker 2: The stats that FSU favor, like one-off stats to where
- 14:13Speaker 2: we're always making news and making headlines in a negative manner.
- 14:19Speaker 2: So SMU, read this, well, listen to this rather. SMU
- 14:23Speaker 2: is the only FBS or NFL team in the last
- 14:26Speaker 2: 30 years, 30 years to have three or worse, well,
- 14:33Speaker 2: minus three or worse turnover margin, twice as many penalties
- 14:37Speaker 2: as their opponent, Fewer rushing yards than their opponent. Lower
- 14:42Speaker 2: top than, I'm sorry, lower T.O.P. I'm not sure what
- 14:45Speaker 2: the hell T.O.P. Lower T.O.P. than their opponent. More missed
- 14:48Speaker 2: field goals than their opponent and still win the game.
- 14:52Speaker 2: So whatever T.O.P. is, you guys let me know in
- 14:54Speaker 2: the comments. I guess I'm a dinosaur when it comes
- 14:55Speaker 2: to certain things. Negative three plus in turnover margin.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Time of possession. Okay.
- 15:05Speaker 3: My apologies.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Appreciate your honor. Shout out to the GOAT.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Negative three or worse in turnover margin, twice as many
- 15:12Speaker 2: penalties as the opponent, fewer rushing yards than the opponent,
- 15:15Speaker 2: less time possession than the opponent, more missed field goals
- 15:19Speaker 2: than the opponent, and still won the game.
- 15:22Speaker 1: The only FBS or NFL team in the.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Last 30 years, 30, to win the football game. So again,
- 15:35Speaker 2: I tweeted this. I tweeted this out Literally right after
- 15:38Speaker 2: the game. And I think this is the best definition of.
- 15:42Speaker 1: The game and how FSU performed.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Let me go find this tweet really quickly. I feel
- 15:50Speaker 2: like SMU played like a school teacher that forgot they
- 15:53Speaker 2: left all the answers to the test on a chalkboard
- 15:57Speaker 2: and FSU still failed the test. That tweet I just
- 16:01Speaker 2: read pretty much sums it all up. They did everything
- 16:05Speaker 2: in their power to give us that game. But we
- 16:08Speaker 2: did everything in our power to lose the game as
- 16:09Speaker 2: we do, right? And this is the last that I
- 16:12Speaker 2: want to quote. This kind of goes back to the defense.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Saw this on Twitter as well from Liam Rooney. FSU
- 16:18Speaker 2: has allowed 904 yards this season. In a whopping 364
- 16:20Speaker 2: of those yards.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Bro, this is fucking crazy.
- 16:22Speaker 4: FSU.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Has allowed 904 yards this season.
- 16:33Speaker 2: And a whopping 364 of those yards have come exclusively
- 16:36Speaker 2: on third down. 40% of the yardage of the 900
- 16:41Speaker 2: yards we have given up this year has came on
- 16:45Speaker 2: third downs.
- 16:48Speaker 1: That's just losing football, man. That just shows that.
- 16:51Speaker 2: I think once the season is over, we're going to
- 16:55Speaker 2: be on the bottom end of third down conversions. I
- 16:57Speaker 2: don't want to say guarantee, but I have a really
- 16:59Speaker 2: good feeling that FSU will be in the hundreds when
- 17:02Speaker 2: it comes to third down conversion.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Maybe in the hundreds on.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Both ends because you went two for 15 on offense.
- 17:08Speaker 1: So just bad football overall. I think we have a
- 17:10Speaker 1: call on. We got Chris. Chris, talk to me.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Yes, sir. How you doing?
- 17:19Speaker 1: Just figured I'd join in. Appreciate it, man. Appreciate it.
- 17:23Speaker 3: How you feeling?
- 17:24Speaker 4: I'm all right, man.
- 17:25Speaker 5: You know, I think that that this is going to
- 17:29Speaker 5: be finally some, you know, movement in the right direction
- 17:33Speaker 5: to make some change. Like yourself, I played football on
- 17:38Speaker 5: the lower level, so I don't know what it's like
- 17:40Speaker 5: to be on the big stage. But, man, we won
- 17:43Speaker 5: the national championship.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I know what winning looks like. These guys don't.
- 17:47Speaker 4: Carry themselves like that. And they have never done that, really.
- 17:50Speaker 5: I mean, even when they were good, they weren't scary. Like,
- 17:53Speaker 5: you know, those Mickey Andrews defenses knock you in the mouth.
- 17:56Speaker 5: These guys, they were good.
- 17:58Speaker 1: It gets sex. I don't scare anybody.
- 18:01Speaker 5: You know, so it's just something that I know this.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Word gets thrown out a lot, culture.
- 18:06Speaker 4: But God, man, it is.
- 18:07Speaker 1: It's what it is. There's no culture of like dominance
- 18:12Speaker 1: and intimidation. It gets thrown around a lot, man.
- 18:16Speaker 2: But like you say, if you play football, you know
- 18:18Speaker 2: how important it is as far as setting your standards,
- 18:20Speaker 2: setting your culture for certain things. If you're going to
- 18:22Speaker 2: be a dominant physical football team. That starts from the
- 18:25Speaker 2: top down as far as the head coach and matriculates
- 18:27Speaker 2: through the coordinators, the staff, and then the team. So, again,
- 18:30Speaker 2: I agree with you as far as culture. And it's
- 18:33Speaker 2: a phrase that's used a lot when it comes to,
- 18:35Speaker 2: you know, I guess what's the word I want to use?
- 18:39Speaker 1: It's a buzzword, so to speak, but it is so
- 18:41Speaker 1: true when it comes to what you're saying.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Like, man, that shit is a culture thing. Like, Mickey,
- 18:46Speaker 2: I had Brian McFadden on the podcast, like, last year,
- 18:50Speaker 2: and Brian would talk about, like, they will fear getting beat, right?
- 18:54Speaker 1: They'll fear getting beat deep.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Because they know Mickey Andrews is snatching their ass out
- 18:58Speaker 2: the game where they're running the next practice or whatever. Like,
- 19:01Speaker 2: they are so afraid of the repercussions of failing Mickey Andrews,
- 19:07Speaker 2: so to speak, that made them play so damn good
- 19:09Speaker 2: on the field.
- 19:09Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 19:10Speaker 1: But I agree with you 100%.
- 19:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:15Speaker 5: Yeah, and, you know, when I played, I know whoever
- 19:18Speaker 5: the other team made a mistake, it was like blood
- 19:19Speaker 5: in the water.
- 19:20Speaker 1: We were going to hammer them for that. They were
- 19:23Speaker 1: going to pay the price.
- 19:24Speaker 5: Like they were never going to do that again for
- 19:26Speaker 5: the rest of the season because they did it to us.
- 19:28Speaker 5: And you just don't see that.
- 19:29Speaker 4: We just go, oh, cool.
- 19:31Speaker 1: And then it's like, forget it. Yeah, I'm with you 100%.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I agree. I agree.
- 19:40Speaker 4: But I think they see that.
- 19:41Speaker 5: So I think there's going to be, you know, the
- 19:43Speaker 5: plans are in motion now. It would be kind of
- 19:46Speaker 5: cool to see Odell, me, maybe. interim before the Central
- 19:51Speaker 5: Arkansas game. He'd come in, get a win, everybody feels good,
- 19:54Speaker 5: get some energy back in the fan base, you know,
- 19:56Speaker 5: because everybody loves Odell. So it's just, you know, that
- 20:00Speaker 5: would help that energy added to a win to, like,
- 20:05Speaker 5: entice a good coach and entice the fans to come back,
- 20:08Speaker 5: entice the guys to open check.
- 20:10Speaker 1: All right, Chris, so I see what you're thinking.
- 20:14Speaker 2: I see what you're thinking, Chris, and pretty much what
- 20:17Speaker 2: the entire fan base is thinking.
- 20:19Speaker 1: So I'm going to put you on the spot. Give
- 20:21Speaker 1: me some candidates that you're thinking or looking at. Yeah.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Did you hear Chris? Oh, so what am I thinking
- 20:35Speaker 1: on that?
- 20:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I see what you're.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Thinking, so I'm going to kind of put you on
- 20:39Speaker 2: the spot a little bit. Give me some guys that's
- 20:42Speaker 2: on your short list of coaching hot board.
- 20:49Speaker 5: Glade Schumann, a defensive coordinator at Georgia. You know, he
- 20:55Speaker 5: comes from a culture like that where they, you know,
- 20:58Speaker 5: when they sense blood, they go after you. They don't
- 21:01Speaker 5: take any prisoners either.
- 21:03Speaker 1: You know, look at what they did at Tennessee State.
- 21:05Speaker 5: You know, it's kind of It sucks, you know, to
- 21:08Speaker 5: get beat like that when you're a smaller team. But
- 21:11Speaker 5: when you're a team like Florida State, Georgia, any of
- 21:13Speaker 5: these big programs, that's what you've got to do to people.
- 21:16Speaker 5: And so he would bring that in. You know, other
- 21:21Speaker 5: than that, you're really looking at having a sniper head
- 21:24Speaker 5: coach your way, and we're really going to be limited
- 21:27Speaker 5: on funds to do that.
- 21:28Speaker 1: So that's kind of who I keyed.
- 21:30Speaker 4: In on right now.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Okay, I like it.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Definitely appreciate you joining Chris and tuning in, man.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Make sure you tap in on the record when it
- 21:38Speaker 2: comes to, you know, the calling portion.
- 21:40Speaker 1: I really appreciate your takes.
- 21:45Speaker 5: Well, man, yeah, man.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Appreciate you joining. All right, we're going to move on
- 21:49Speaker 2: to the next. We got B-Rod on.
- 21:51Speaker 3: B-Rod, talk to me. How you feeling? What's up, man?
- 21:54Speaker 3: How you doing? Can you hear me?
- 21:55Speaker 4: Yes, sir.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Yes, sir.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Pretty good, man.
- 21:58Speaker 6: I can't complain too much. I mean, we got a
- 22:00Speaker 6: lot to complain about right now.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Hey, it is what it is.
- 22:02Speaker 6: We, we, on a national stage getting laughed at for
- 22:07Speaker 6: the last several seasons, you know, and, and I'm one
- 22:10Speaker 6: of the guys, uh, I'm actually from South Carolina, you know,
- 22:13Speaker 6: didn't grow up in Florida.
- 22:14Speaker 7: My uncle been a fan since the nineties got it
- 22:16Speaker 7: from him.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Hey, you know, it is what it is.
- 22:18Speaker 7: I've traveled at least five, six games.
- 22:20Speaker 6: A year, you know, so I do my part to support,
- 22:22Speaker 6: you know, the NIL, the booster, you know, the whole
- 22:24Speaker 6: nine yards, whatever.
- 22:25Speaker 4: Right.
- 22:26Speaker 6: But what killed me Last night is the fact that
- 22:29Speaker 6: because I own a trucking company.
- 22:31Speaker 1: So I literally planned a load to.
- 22:34Speaker 6: Go down towards Tallahassee, left my trailer, drove all the
- 22:39Speaker 6: way down to Tallahassee from Macon, Georgia in my truck
- 22:43Speaker 6: just to see us get beat.
- 22:46Speaker 7: And easily could have won the game.
- 22:49Speaker 1: You know what I mean? But that's neither here nor there.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Real quick, just to your point, we should have won
- 22:56Speaker 2: that game by double digits. It should have been a
- 22:58Speaker 2: double-digit win. With everything they gifted us, it should have
- 23:00Speaker 2: been a 10-point win at least.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Go ahead.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Right. I agree 100%. And the thing is, okay, so
- 23:10Speaker 1: we want to change that coach. We know that. The
- 23:12Speaker 1: buyout is a little crazy.
- 23:14Speaker 6: But I feel like if they really want to, they'll
- 23:17Speaker 6: find some kind of way to make it happen.
- 23:19Speaker 1: You know what I mean? They'll find some way to
- 23:21Speaker 1: do it.
- 23:21Speaker 6: But our options are going to be very limited, you know,
- 23:25Speaker 6: come the end of this season because who wants to leave?
- 23:28Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 23:29Speaker 6: What options do we have? You know, because we have
- 23:32Speaker 6: to spend some money to get somebody to prove it.
- 23:34Speaker 6: We don't really want to go the route, I feel like,
- 23:36Speaker 6: of a G5 guy because look where it got us.
- 23:40Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 23:42Speaker 6: And now, all right, so we're going to have to
- 23:44Speaker 6: see how Alex Golish does at Auburn.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Will he have success there?
- 23:47Speaker 6: Auburn has been hard to do something there the last
- 23:50Speaker 6: several years.
- 23:51Speaker 7: How is John Summerall going to do in Florida? You
- 23:54Speaker 7: know what I mean?
- 23:55Speaker 1: And if.
- 23:59Speaker 6: Billy wins at James Madison, that just shows you, hey,
- 24:02Speaker 6: this is a guy that can recruit three stars. That's
- 24:06Speaker 6: what he needs to stay. He just can't get it
- 24:08Speaker 6: done at the P4 level.
- 24:10Speaker 3: So, you know, I mean.
- 24:13Speaker 7: like I said, our options is going to be kind
- 24:14Speaker 7: of limited.
- 24:15Speaker 6: I mean, I don't mind somebody like Fran Brown or Manny,
- 24:18Speaker 6: you know, Manny is an alum, you know what I mean?
- 24:21Speaker 7: But you still gonna have to pay Manny. You know,
- 24:23Speaker 7: those guys recruit Florida.
- 24:25Speaker 6: Even Fran Brown recruits Florida really good from to Syracuse.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Come on, man.
- 24:30Speaker 6: To Syracuse. Who want to go play football in New
- 24:33Speaker 6: York in that part of New York? Now, you know
- 24:35Speaker 6: what I mean? Obviously some people do, you know? So yeah, we, we,
- 24:39Speaker 6: we got to make some kind of change, man. Um,
- 24:42Speaker 6: I mean, it is what it is. We're going to
- 24:43Speaker 6: still do our part to support. You know, I see
- 24:46Speaker 6: the interview last night with Ashton, you know, saying, you know,
- 24:48Speaker 6: what can the fans do? Because they heard us out
- 24:51Speaker 6: there booing. You know, but we weren't booing them. What
- 24:54Speaker 6: was his response?
- 24:55Speaker 1: Because I didn't want to hear shit that none of
- 24:58Speaker 1: them guys had said. Right.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Especially because, like, with Mike, it's like everything he said,
- 25:04Speaker 2: you could pretty much, you could say, you know what's
- 25:07Speaker 2: coming before he says it.
- 25:08Speaker 1: So it's like a broken record. What did Ashton say?
- 25:11Speaker 6: He really just was saying that, you know, basically the
- 25:15Speaker 6: spirit about, you know, we're doing our best we can.
- 25:17Speaker 6: You know, y'all just got to trust us. You know,
- 25:19Speaker 6: he wasn't being, like, arrogant about it or anything. Like,
- 25:21Speaker 6: he was just saying, like, look, we understand.
- 25:23Speaker 1: We get it. You know, just kind of trust us,
- 25:25Speaker 1: trust the coaching staff. It's just a whole little spirit
- 25:28Speaker 1: like that, you know.
- 25:29Speaker 6: And I think they probably know we're not booing y'all.
- 25:32Speaker 3: We're really not.
- 25:33Speaker 6: It's the coaching because why are we going for it
- 25:36Speaker 6: on fourth down early in the game like that? that
- 25:40Speaker 6: really turned that game, man. You know what I'm saying? Like,
- 25:42Speaker 6: it's stuff like that. You know, why are we running
- 25:44Speaker 6: a pitch play, you know, for a fourth down to
- 25:50Speaker 6: the short side of the field, I believe it was,
- 25:52Speaker 6: where you got five guys to game tackle Cromer.
- 25:56Speaker 1: So it's just like, it's stuff like that.
- 25:57Speaker 6: Why are we playing so far back off, you know,
- 26:00Speaker 6: on third and sixth, and we four or five yards
- 26:03Speaker 6: past the line of game, you know, the first down line.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Just stuff like that.
- 26:08Speaker 6: It's like, what are we doing? We got some NIL money.
- 26:14Speaker 6: Why are we paying for a running back that didn't
- 26:16Speaker 6: get any snaps last night? Now, if he's getting beat
- 26:19Speaker 6: out in practice, it is what it is. But line
- 26:25Speaker 6: on the offensive-defensive side, obviously, and a good quarterback, it's
- 26:29Speaker 6: going to have to be over $ 800, 000 for a quarterback
- 26:32Speaker 6: if we're going to keep going the transfer route.
- 26:35Speaker 1: That's fine to a degree.
- 26:37Speaker 5: It is.
- 26:38Speaker 7: But if we're going to have a transfer guy, at least.
- 26:41Speaker 1: He's a two-year guy, man.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Even not with the transfer, I think it's going to
- 26:45Speaker 2: be just the quarterback in general because at the flip end,
- 26:48Speaker 2: on the flip end, if we do recruit a guy
- 26:51Speaker 2: just in the third, other schools will be trying to
- 26:54Speaker 2: poach him, right? So you got to pay his ass
- 26:56Speaker 2: just to keep him on campus.
- 26:58Speaker 8: Right.
- 26:59Speaker 1: If you recruit a high school kid, portal guy, whatever.
- 27:02Speaker 3: But I do agree.
- 27:02Speaker 1: I think it seems like the portal is the way
- 27:04Speaker 1: to go with quarterbacks now.
- 27:05Speaker 2: But regardless, either way, going to have to pay him
- 27:08Speaker 2: because if you bring in a five-star quarterback this and
- 27:10Speaker 2: a third, he could be gone within a year or
- 27:12Speaker 2: so by other teams trying to pay a certain amount
- 27:15Speaker 2: of money in today's market.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Agreed. Agreed.
- 27:18Speaker 1: You know, at least get you a two-year guy.
- 27:21Speaker 6: Imagine if we could have got Mensah a few years
- 27:24Speaker 6: ago because wasn't he at Tulane, then went to Duke,
- 27:27Speaker 6: and now at Miami?
- 27:29Speaker 3: Dude is killing it. Killing it.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Like if we That's something that he could have easily
- 27:34Speaker 1: been attainable by, you know, from Florida State.
- 27:35Speaker 2: And it's crazy because the current GM now who was
- 27:38Speaker 2: at Duke played a part in getting him there.
- 27:40Speaker 1: But to your point that he could have easily been
- 27:42Speaker 1: a quarterback that we got. He could have been balled
- 27:45Speaker 1: out last year, then year two.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Yeah, right, right.
- 27:49Speaker 1: That goes to keep us.
- 27:50Speaker 2: But we knew right then once Gus was hired who
- 27:52Speaker 2: his guy was off the roof.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Right, right.
- 27:56Speaker 6: And, you know, I mean, I hate to say it,
- 27:59Speaker 6: but I bet you, we wouldn't be complaining about a
- 28:03Speaker 6: Gus offense right.
- 28:03Speaker 7: Now to a degree, you know what I mean?
- 28:06Speaker 6: As, as, as much as we did complain last year, we,
- 28:10Speaker 6: we got some yards up, you know, we didn't always
- 28:12Speaker 6: get points, unfortunately, but that goes to, you know, receivers
- 28:16Speaker 6: dropping the ball Clemson game last year.
- 28:19Speaker 7: I can't, you know, eight, what, eight to 10 drops.
- 28:21Speaker 7: I believe in that game.
- 28:23Speaker 6: One of them, I sat there and watched wide open
- 28:25Speaker 6: touchdown pass, dropped it, you know, you know, and we're.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Also, why didn't we keep a pitman?
- 28:32Speaker 6: He did his thing against us last night.
- 28:34Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 28:36Speaker 2: Especially when our kids have been playing like it. That
- 28:39Speaker 2: room isn't good at all.
- 28:41Speaker 4: Right.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Right.
- 28:43Speaker 1: You got a 6'6 receiver.
- 28:45Speaker 6: Need to be getting at least 8 to 10, you know,
- 28:48Speaker 6: targets a game. I think he barely got three. Now,
- 28:51Speaker 6: he did drop one. You know, he dropped a contested.
- 28:55Speaker 1: But still. But I think that starts with that line
- 28:58Speaker 1: and coaching.
- 28:59Speaker 3: You know.
- 29:00Speaker 1: But I will say this. Deuce should not see no
- 29:02Speaker 1: less than 10 to 12 balls a game.
- 29:04Speaker 3: Right.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Yeah. You got to throw to him 10 to 12
- 29:08Speaker 1: times a game.
- 29:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:10Speaker 6: I don't think we even threw, what, maybe one to
- 29:13Speaker 6: two balls over 20, 30 yards in the air.
- 29:16Speaker 1: I don't think we did.
- 29:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:19Speaker 1: You may be right.
- 29:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:21Speaker 6: Maybe that one to Deuce that he dropped, but that
- 29:23Speaker 6: might have been about the only.
- 29:24Speaker 1: One, which is on the quarterback.
- 29:27Speaker 2: And not including that last drive, you know, where you
- 29:29Speaker 2: absolutely had to throw it down the field.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Just drive. I think I agree with you.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Right.
- 29:34Speaker 5: Yeah. So, yeah.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I mean, like I said, it is what it is.
- 29:38Speaker 2: As the game progresses. SMU adjusted and even though we're
- 29:41Speaker 2: still getting success, but they adjusted. They were daring us
- 29:44Speaker 2: to throw the damn ball.
- 29:45Speaker 3: Right.
- 29:46Speaker 2: They kept, there was walking safeties. They were daring us
- 29:48Speaker 2: to throw the ball. But again, for whatever reason, Ashton couldn't,
- 29:52Speaker 2: he wasn't getting it done and Mike wasn't trusting him
- 29:54Speaker 2: to get it done in certain situations because they were
- 29:56Speaker 2: definitely daring us to throw the ball for sure.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Right.
- 29:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:00Speaker 6: Now, I did notice the way they did better this
- 30:02Speaker 6: game compared to, you know, I guess the slight little
- 30:04Speaker 6: vanilla against New Mexico State.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Ashton actually kept the ball. Yeah, he ran it.
- 30:11Speaker 2: One thing I did see that I liked that we
- 30:13Speaker 2: didn't do against New Mexico State, which we did a
- 30:15Speaker 2: lot more last night, we had the split backs with
- 30:18Speaker 2: Sam and Promo.
- 30:19Speaker 1: We didn't see that at all. Well, week zero, rather.
- 30:22Speaker 2: They showed a little bit last night, and they had
- 30:25Speaker 2: some success whenever they used it.
- 30:26Speaker 3: Right.
- 30:27Speaker 4: I agree.
- 30:28Speaker 5: I agree.
- 30:29Speaker 6: Yeah, I just hope we don't have a terrible, you know,
- 30:32Speaker 6: I mean, we got a stretch coming up. You know
- 30:34Speaker 6: what I mean? Because I'll be in attendance at Louisville.
- 30:38Speaker 6: I'll be at home in Tallahassee for the Clemson game.
- 30:40Speaker 6: I'll be going to Pittsburgh. But, I mean, we got
- 30:43Speaker 6: to play Louisville. Good team, always, right? Jeff Brown, great coach.
- 30:47Speaker 6: I mean, we know what time it is in Miami.
- 30:49Speaker 6: I ain't got to say nothing on that. And I
- 30:51Speaker 6: hate to even say this as an FSU fan, lifelong fan.
- 30:55Speaker 6: Malachi Tony, that guy. You know, I wish we had
- 30:57Speaker 6: somebody like that. But you got to get him the ball.
- 31:00Speaker 6: So it don't matter what you do. You still got
- 31:02Speaker 6: to get him the ball. And they have a guy
- 31:03Speaker 6: that can get him the ball, period. You know, plus
- 31:06Speaker 6: the other receiver that they bought from Duke as well.
- 31:09Speaker 4: Yep.
- 31:09Speaker 1: And they have a coordinator, man. Man, I forgot the
- 31:13Speaker 1: damn coordinator name just that quick. The Miami coordinator, the
- 31:18Speaker 1: offensive coordinator, he gets him the ball.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Puts him in different places, matchups, this and that. They
- 31:24Speaker 2: emphasize giving Tony the ball. It's something we don't do, man,
- 31:27Speaker 2: which I don't get. Like, they emphasize getting their best
- 31:31Speaker 2: player the ball.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:32Speaker 1: It's not the Shannon guy, is it? That's not the quarterback,
- 31:35Speaker 1: is it?
- 31:35Speaker 4: Shannon Dawson.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Shannon Dawson. Okay, okay, okay.
- 31:37Speaker 5: That is.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Okay, gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. I couldn't remember.
- 31:40Speaker 6: But, yeah, you know, so like I said, that, of course,
- 31:42Speaker 6: you know, Alabama looking to get revenge. You know what
- 31:44Speaker 6: time it is with that. Central Arkansas, we should, you know,
- 31:47Speaker 6: do whatever with them.
- 31:48Speaker 7: But, Yeah, I mean, we got a stretch. We got
- 31:50Speaker 7: a stretch coming up.
- 31:51Speaker 6: Virginia, oh, man, they beat NC State, you know, Dookie
- 31:57Speaker 6: dropping down their leg.
- 31:58Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 31:58Speaker 4: Like, it was bad.
- 32:00Speaker 1: You know what I mean? So, hey, I mean, that's
- 32:03Speaker 1: a stretch.
- 32:04Speaker 6: I mean, even if they get rid of him, people
- 32:07Speaker 6: say about Odell, Odell does not want a head coach.
- 32:09Speaker 6: He already said he does not want to do it here.
- 32:12Speaker 6: You know, his family just came on the Facebook group, said,
- 32:15Speaker 6: your daughter, he does not.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Want to do it.
- 32:17Speaker 6: He may enter him to the end of the season,
- 32:19Speaker 6: but he does not want to head coach for the state.
- 32:21Speaker 6: You know, which he's like one of the only guys
- 32:23Speaker 6: that knew the, you know, the 90s culture and all.
- 32:26Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying?
- 32:26Speaker 7: They're still around, but he don't want to head coach.
- 32:29Speaker 7: So that's just not an option.
- 32:30Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 32:31Speaker 7: But I don't know if Mike make it through the season, man.
- 32:36Speaker 4: They might have to let him go.
- 32:36Speaker 3: But probably not.
- 32:39Speaker 6: The Miami game is going to tell, you know, that, that,
- 32:41Speaker 6: you know, but I think that's what October, like the 17th,
- 32:45Speaker 6: maybe something to that effect.
- 32:46Speaker 1: We are nobody.
- 32:48Speaker 2: I'm not a, I'm not a betting man myself, but, um,
- 32:51Speaker 2: I would say, I don't think Mike makes.
- 32:53Speaker 1: It through the season as well too.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:55Speaker 4: Right.
- 32:56Speaker 6: It is what it is, but it ain't going to
- 32:57Speaker 6: take up too much of your time, man. Hey, appreciate
- 32:59Speaker 6: you letting me call in brother. Appreciate you joining.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Yes, sir.
- 33:02Speaker 3: No doubt. No doubt. Thank you.
- 33:06Speaker 4: All right.
- 33:06Speaker 1: We got my guy, tiny head CEO, Talk to.
- 33:09Speaker 3: Me, bro. Yes, yes, yes. The Tiny Hat CEO has
- 33:16Speaker 3: returned to Dope Talk. First off, shout out to CJ.
- 33:20Speaker 3: How you doing, bro? Pretty good, my boy. Oh, yeah.
- 33:23Speaker 2: I'm tired as hell, man. So let me tell you
- 33:25Speaker 2: about my day yesterday, dog. Let me build a little bit.
- 33:28Speaker 1: So, man, we had the damn tailgate, right?
- 33:30Speaker 2: So pretty much from like 1.30, 2 o'clock to 6.30
- 33:33Speaker 2: or whatever.
- 33:33Speaker 3: And I'm working.
- 33:34Speaker 1: I ain't enjoying it. I ain't like kicking back and
- 33:37Speaker 1: relaxing the.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Tailgate, right?
- 33:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Moving around, working, making sure everything's good. Shaking hands, kissing babies,
- 33:43Speaker 2: all that type of deal. Get over the dope. Sitting
- 33:47Speaker 2: in this hot-ass, stank-ass stadium for two hours just waiting
- 33:51Speaker 2: for the game to start.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Then we have output.
- 33:54Speaker 2: I didn't leave the stadium until about 2.30.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Got up for work. It's been a long damn day, bro.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Boy, listen, listen, the dedication that this fan base shows
- 34:07Speaker 3: to this program, nobody's going to tell me that there's
- 34:10Speaker 3: a better fan base in all of college football than
- 34:13Speaker 3: the Florida State Seminoles fans. All right. So that's, that's
- 34:15Speaker 3: the first thing I would do a shout out CJ
- 34:17Speaker 3: and everybody at lot 19 who did work at the tailgate.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Shout out to everybody who was in the stands that
- 34:22Speaker 3: stayed there after all that mess. Uh, and shout out
- 34:26Speaker 3: to us as the FSU community and the faithful out here, because, um,
- 34:32Speaker 3: we really are supporting some pure and utter just bullshit
- 34:36Speaker 3: is what we're doing right now. That's what this is.
- 34:39Speaker 3: It's trash. This is pure and utter trash. All right.
- 34:44Speaker 3: And I, for one, I'm going to tell everybody who's
- 34:47Speaker 3: watching this and I'm going straight to the timeline. Go
- 34:49Speaker 3: to clickspin.com right now and go ahead and get you
- 34:52Speaker 3: an online account so that you can get you a
- 34:55Speaker 3: loan so that we can go ahead and get this
- 34:57Speaker 3: dude up out of here because he got to go.
- 35:00Speaker 3: He got to go, bro. I said it after the
- 35:03Speaker 3: last game. I said I wasn't going to jump off
- 35:04Speaker 3: the bridge. I said we was going to give them
- 35:06Speaker 3: some grace. First game, everybody coming up, blah, blah, blah.
- 35:10Speaker 3: And I said, we're going to see what happens at
- 35:11Speaker 3: the game, too. Well, game two just happened. And this
- 35:15Speaker 3: was a historically bad game. Even though we lost the
- 35:19Speaker 3: game close, that game should have been a beatdown. And
- 35:23Speaker 3: by every metric that you want to find, it was
- 35:25Speaker 3: a whooping. The coaching staff is trash. The trenches were trash.
- 35:31Speaker 3: The linebackers were great. Lavallee, listen, if I lived in Tallahassee,
- 35:36Speaker 3: that boy would never have to pay for a gut
- 35:38Speaker 3: box ever again if that was me. That boy is
- 35:40Speaker 3: on point. Lavallee is on point. The secondary, trash. I
- 35:45Speaker 3: want everybody gone. I need everybody gone. So I'm not
- 35:50Speaker 3: even talking to anybody on that staff. I'm talking to
- 35:53Speaker 3: the president now. I'm talking to Peter Collins now. I'm
- 35:56Speaker 3: talking to the big dogs, the people. You've seen, what's
- 35:59Speaker 3: that movie with Will Smith where they had all of
- 36:01Speaker 3: the little villains that came together? The one where it
- 36:05Speaker 3: was Will Smith, he was dead shot, and they had
- 36:07Speaker 3: the little Harley Quinn girl.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Oh, shit. Damn, bro.
- 36:11Speaker 3: I forgot what the name of the movie was.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Yeah, DC movie.
- 36:14Speaker 3: Yeah, the DC joint. Suicide Squad. But I'm thinking about
- 36:17Speaker 3: the scene where they had him put the gun in
- 36:19Speaker 3: his hand and he had him pop one of the
- 36:21Speaker 3: shots off and then put all of the little holes. Yeah,
- 36:25Speaker 3: he was at their shoot. Yeah, yeah. No, but then
- 36:28Speaker 3: he turned around after he put on that beautiful display
- 36:31Speaker 3: of marksmanship, and he was like, look, here is my price.
- 36:34Speaker 3: I want my daughter to get X, Y, Z, yada, yada, yada,
- 36:37Speaker 3: looking at the white man in his face. And the
- 36:39Speaker 3: man said, oh, that's your price? He goes, I'm not
- 36:40Speaker 3: talking to you. I'm talking to your boss. That's how
- 36:44Speaker 3: I feel right now. Suicide squad. Yeah, shout out to
- 36:47Speaker 3: Ryan Driscoll in the chat. Yeah, that's how I feel
- 36:49Speaker 3: right now. I ain't talking to Mike. I ain't talking
- 36:52Speaker 3: to Alfred. I'm talking to your bosses now. Y'all need
- 36:55Speaker 3: to get this entire program washed. Get them out. Every
- 37:00Speaker 3: single one of them. Gotta go. I'm talking the AD
- 37:04Speaker 3: gotta go. I need the head coach gone. All of
- 37:07Speaker 3: the coaching staff can get out. Strength and conditioning can go.
- 37:10Speaker 3: I need the nutritionists up out of there. I want
- 37:13Speaker 3: the GAs up out of there. I need them firing
- 37:18Speaker 3: the secretaries. I need the dudes that are out there
- 37:20Speaker 3: cleaning the stadium after the game over goal. I want
- 37:23Speaker 3: the people who were in the parking lot. They all
- 37:25Speaker 3: up for reevaluation at this point. Top to bottom. They
- 37:29Speaker 3: say tear it down to the studs. We ain't tearing
- 37:31Speaker 3: nothing down to the studs. We are tearing this house
- 37:33Speaker 3: all the way down. We breaking up the foundation and
- 37:36Speaker 3: digging up the damn septic tank from up underneath it
- 37:40Speaker 3: so that we can put a whole new foundation in.
- 37:44Speaker 3: That's what we need to do at this point, because
- 37:45Speaker 3: this don't make no sense, what we just watched out here.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Recruiting is terrible. Oh, he's taking back over the play caller,
- 37:53Speaker 3: play caller, play caller. The play caller was miserable. It
- 37:57Speaker 3: was miserable. And then for you to call those plays,
- 38:00Speaker 3: showing everybody who watched that game that you don't trust
- 38:03Speaker 3: your quarterback to throw the ball, your quarterback that you
- 38:05Speaker 3: brought in here and spit the bread on, that you
- 38:07Speaker 3: done brought in here. He's scared to throw the ball.
- 38:10Speaker 3: He looked like a damn deer in headlight. Hell, it
- 38:13Speaker 3: was at one point at one point in the second quarter.
- 38:15Speaker 3: I was like, no, let me see. Let me see
- 38:17Speaker 3: the kid that you just got out of high school.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Burn his red shirt right now. I don't care if
- 38:23Speaker 3: he 162 pounds. You know what? James Blackman was 162
- 38:26Speaker 3: pounds and we threw his ass out there. Well, let's
- 38:29Speaker 3: see the young kid. Put him out there at this point.
- 38:31Speaker 3: I don't want to see nothing from this man with
- 38:35Speaker 3: this program at all. He's done. We need to get
- 38:38Speaker 3: them out of there. The D.C., you would have been
- 38:40Speaker 3: a hot commodity if you went out there on the
- 38:42Speaker 3: open market. If everybody knew you was out there, I
- 38:44Speaker 3: need you gone. Get them out the paint. Anybody that
- 38:48Speaker 3: is on this team right now that is getting paid
- 38:50Speaker 3: from a player perspective, yank contracts, send them on their
- 38:55Speaker 3: merry way. I don't care. I don't care. We can
- 38:58Speaker 3: be bad next year, and we can be bad the
- 39:01Speaker 3: year after that, but whoever the hell they bring in here,
- 39:04Speaker 3: they need to get this guy, go out there and
- 39:06Speaker 3: talk to him right now. I don't care if he
- 39:07Speaker 3: on another staff. I don't care if he's on the
- 39:10Speaker 3: contract on TV. I don't care if you got to
- 39:12Speaker 3: go dig up the bones from some legendary quarterback or
- 39:15Speaker 3: coach from 30, 40 years ago. Get him on the
- 39:19Speaker 3: paperwork and get him out here on the trail at
- 39:21Speaker 3: this point. This dude needs to go. My program is
- 39:24Speaker 3: in shambles right now. I was in a space today
- 39:27Speaker 3: I was in a Florida State space today from 8
- 39:30Speaker 3: o'clock in the morning until I logged in to talk
- 39:32Speaker 3: to you right now. That's how long the space been going, bro.
- 39:36Speaker 3: That's how long the space been going. It's been going
- 39:38Speaker 3: from 8 o'clock this morning and it's still going right now.
- 39:43Speaker 3: I've listened to diehard Mike Norvell fans. I've listened to
- 39:46Speaker 3: them crashing out. I've listened to people that were always
- 39:50Speaker 3: positive about Florida State. Ah, man, what you want them
- 39:52Speaker 3: to do? This is what we're doing. A little change here, there.
- 39:54Speaker 3: The sunshine pumpers. Hey, Florida State, undefeated all day, every day, blah, blah.
- 39:58Speaker 3: I done heard every type of Florida State fan, from
- 40:02Speaker 3: the super positive to the Florida State can't do nothing
- 40:05Speaker 3: right unless we holding up a championship trophy at the
- 40:08Speaker 3: end of the season, Florida State fans. Every single one
- 40:11Speaker 3: of us agrees on the same thing. He got to go.
- 40:14Speaker 3: His boss got to go. And we want it done yesterday.
- 40:19Speaker 3: He shouldn't have even been allowed to give a press conference.
- 40:21Speaker 3: He shouldn't even been in the press conference. They shouldn't
- 40:23Speaker 3: have had a press conference. The press conference should have
- 40:25Speaker 3: been Peter Collins and the chairman of the school and
- 40:28Speaker 3: the president of the school. All of them, every single
- 40:31Speaker 3: one of them should have been sitting there saying he's done.
- 40:34Speaker 3: And we're going to name this guy, put Tom Herman's
- 40:37Speaker 3: ass up there, and let him go out there and
- 40:39Speaker 3: just coach up the young players. You know what we're
- 40:41Speaker 3: going to do? We're running freshmen and sophomores from here
- 40:44Speaker 3: on out. Everybody else who's a junior, senior, six-year player,
- 40:48Speaker 3: all of y'all are all depth pieces at this point.
- 40:51Speaker 3: That's what I need to see. That's what I need
- 40:53Speaker 3: to see at this point because it's miserable. It is miserable.
- 40:57Speaker 3: And then I just listened to the last person who
- 40:59Speaker 3: was talking just now. He's spot on with some of
- 41:03Speaker 3: the stuff he's saying. I thought that this was going
- 41:06Speaker 3: to be possibly a four-win team this season. And the
- 41:10Speaker 3: four wins I had was the first game of the year,
- 41:13Speaker 3: the Central Arkansas joint, the Boston College joint, and then
- 41:18Speaker 3: maybe we could find something else. Hopefully Virginia, somebody else
- 41:21Speaker 3: we can knock on the door.
- 41:22Speaker 4: Nope.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Three wins is all we get in this season. And
- 41:25Speaker 3: that's if Boston College don't red bandana our ass up
- 41:28Speaker 3: out the stadium. That's if they don't do that. We
- 41:30Speaker 3: are a three-win program right now. This ain't even no program.
- 41:36Speaker 3: I'm used to having a program, a P-R-O-G-R-U-M. Florida State
- 41:40Speaker 3: was a program. This ain't even no program right now.
- 41:43Speaker 3: You know what this is? You know what this is?
- 41:45Speaker 3: This is a damn church fan that they hand you
- 41:47Speaker 3: when you walk into some hot-ass church in the hood
- 41:49Speaker 3: right now. This ain't even no program. You can't even
- 41:51Speaker 3: see what the hymns are. You can't even see what
- 41:54Speaker 3: the word of the week is going to be. They're
- 41:56Speaker 3: not even handing you nothing at this point. Florida State,
- 41:58Speaker 3: if this was a cookout, and you know what? I'm
- 42:00Speaker 3: glad you had the tailgate. If this was a tailgate
- 42:03Speaker 3: or a cookout right now, you know what this is?
- 42:05Speaker 3: Florida State is a kid that's coming up asking for ribs,
- 42:07Speaker 3: and kids is only allowed to eat hot dogs. That's
- 42:10Speaker 3: what we are. We only allowed to eat hot dogs
- 42:13Speaker 3: right now. We can't go get ribs. Our mama got
- 42:16Speaker 3: to hopefully go up there and get a burger and
- 42:18Speaker 3: some ribs and give us one after she done chewed
- 42:20Speaker 3: it up at this point. This is a miserable situation
- 42:23Speaker 3: that we in right now. This is terrible. This is terrible.
- 42:27Speaker 3: This is just a travesty. And I'm done with it.
- 42:30Speaker 3: I'm done with it. I'll never root for my team
- 42:33Speaker 3: to lose. I will never root for my team to lose.
- 42:36Speaker 3: We got two weeks. I need him fired at some point.
- 42:38Speaker 3: You know what? No. Let him stay on. Let him
- 42:41Speaker 3: stay on. I need him to go up there to Tuscaloosa.
- 42:44Speaker 3: Go ahead and do your game plan. Do what you
- 42:46Speaker 3: got to do. Two straight weeks. You're going to go
- 42:48Speaker 3: up there. You're going to get your head caved in.
- 42:50Speaker 3: You're going to get beat outside. You're going to get
- 42:52Speaker 3: stomped out like a brother that was in a club
- 42:54Speaker 3: getting a little too frisky and security had to tune
- 42:57Speaker 3: him up. That's what this is. You're going to go
- 42:59Speaker 3: up there. You're going to walk out looking like Martin
- 43:00Speaker 3: after Tommy Hitman Hearns put the paws on. That's what
- 43:03Speaker 3: we're going to look like. And then you get them
- 43:05Speaker 3: up out in the paint. Because who do we play
- 43:06Speaker 3: after Alabama? Do we got Miami after Alabama?
- 43:09Speaker 1: Central Arkansas.
- 43:10Speaker 3: No, don't even give him another win. Don't even give
- 43:13Speaker 3: him another win. Don't even give him another win. Just
- 43:16Speaker 3: get him out the paint right after that. That's what
- 43:18Speaker 3: we need to do at this point because I'm done
- 43:20Speaker 3: with it. We could have had the coach that's up
- 43:22Speaker 3: there in Blacksburg right now. We could have had him
- 43:25Speaker 3: on the sideline. I'll tell you this right now. I
- 43:28Speaker 3: guarantee you this team would have looked much better than
- 43:29Speaker 3: that mess that we saw last night. I guarantee you
- 43:32Speaker 3: we would have looked better than that. This will make
- 43:35Speaker 3: no damn sense. The one shining beacon that we got,
- 43:37Speaker 3: we got two shining beacons out here. I say one,
- 43:40Speaker 3: it's two. We got LaValle, who I hope is healthy.
- 43:43Speaker 3: I hope that boy go out there and put more
- 43:45Speaker 3: good film out there on tape and show what it's
- 43:47Speaker 3: supposed to look like. That boy ran through a blocker's chest.
- 43:51Speaker 3: That boy pushed the blocker back into the running back
- 43:54Speaker 3: and then went and made the tackle. That's how you
- 43:56Speaker 3: blow up a block. That's a Florida State linebacker right there.
- 43:59Speaker 3: LaValle is always going to get love from me. And
- 44:02Speaker 3: the other one is Cromer. Cromwell looked like he'd walk
- 44:05Speaker 3: around like he'd just sleep on top of a horse.
- 44:08Speaker 3: That boy's legs looked like parentheses. And he is out
- 44:11Speaker 3: here hauling ass left and right. He got to wear
- 44:14Speaker 3: Dickies his whole life because he don't want people to
- 44:16Speaker 3: see how bow-legged he is. That's how bow-legged that boy
- 44:19Speaker 3: is right there. That boy is a monster. And it's
- 44:21Speaker 3: a damn shame that we're going to waste a kid
- 44:24Speaker 3: who could be a generational talent behind that piss-poor-ass O-line.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Terrible O-line play. I saw they got the African out
- 44:31Speaker 3: of there.
- 44:32Speaker 8: Bye. Bye.
- 44:34Speaker 3: Get your ass back on the boat and send him
- 44:35Speaker 3: on up wherever else the hell you need to go, bro.
- 44:37Speaker 1: We'll replace him with him because I didn't really see
- 44:39Speaker 1: him on the field.
- 44:39Speaker 3: I think they put Paps out there on the side.
- 44:41Speaker 3: They moved him over after they got the African off
- 44:44Speaker 3: of the right tackle spot. And, I mean, good God, bro.
- 44:49Speaker 3: How you that big and big for nothing? Like, come on, bro.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Come on, bro. After he got Ashton Daniels just de-cleated,
- 44:57Speaker 3: they was like, nah, we got to go ahead and
- 44:59Speaker 3: get him up out of the paint. And I'm glad
- 45:01Speaker 3: they did it. But this is an all-around mess. The
- 45:04Speaker 3: secondary look like they still don't know how the hell
- 45:06Speaker 3: to look in the backfield and then run with the
- 45:08Speaker 3: guy who's running with you. It don't make no damn sense.
- 45:12Speaker 3: The one thing Florida State always has is DBs. That's
- 45:17Speaker 3: the one thing.
- 45:17Speaker 4: We are DBU.
- 45:19Speaker 3: I don't want to hear about nobody else. Ohio State, Texas,
- 45:22Speaker 3: the Shames, all of it. I don't want to hear it.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Florida State is DBU. And there's no reason for our
- 45:27Speaker 3: DBs to look this terrible. They ain't even mediocre. They
- 45:31Speaker 3: ain't even mediocre. If I was the head coach of
- 45:33Speaker 3: this team, everybody who got a single digit on, I'm
- 45:35Speaker 3: yanking your jersey. Damn that. If you got on, who
- 45:39Speaker 3: is that, number three? Number three, that thing he dribbling,
- 45:42Speaker 3: left and right. Like, what you thought you was doing, bro?
- 45:44Speaker 3: You got the nerve to be a D-tackle with a
- 45:46Speaker 3: single digit on. Are you dribbling? Like, doing some old terrible, like,
- 45:51Speaker 3: he was up there dribbling like the white girl on
- 45:52Speaker 3: Save the Last Dance. Like, get your ass out of here, bro.
- 45:56Speaker 3: Get out of here, non-dancing. Oh, I'm going to dribble
- 45:59Speaker 3: and try to– I'm going to Harlem Shake like I'm
- 46:01Speaker 3: Dave Chappelle out here acting like I'm Diddy to try
- 46:03Speaker 3: to confuse somebody. Man, as soon as that ball got hiked,
- 46:07Speaker 3: he got jacked up and pancaked.
- 46:08Speaker 4: Like, really?
- 46:09Speaker 3: No, he's wearing number 63. That's what you're wearing. Everybody
- 46:14Speaker 3: who got single digits, I'm going to make all of
- 46:16Speaker 3: them wear some nonsense. As a matter of fact, they
- 46:18Speaker 3: can keep their single digit on, and we're going to
- 46:20Speaker 3: put two digits on the outside. Oh, you're number three? No,
- 46:22Speaker 3: you're number 130 right now because you're that trash. Because
- 46:26Speaker 3: you're the 130th best defensive tackle in the country right now. Now,
- 46:30Speaker 3: that's what you are. This is terrible. This is terrible.
- 46:35Speaker 3: I'm done, bro. I'm done. I'm not going to sit
- 46:37Speaker 3: here and let this ruin my college football season. I
- 46:41Speaker 3: saw so much other nonsense. I was on my shoulder
- 46:43Speaker 3: the other night. I just laughed. I laughed. I said,
- 46:45Speaker 3: you know what? I can laugh right now because my
- 46:47Speaker 3: team has yet to embarrass me this week. So I
- 46:50Speaker 3: can talk trash about everybody else. I made fun of Michigan.
- 46:53Speaker 3: I made fun of the Big Ten. I made fun
- 46:55Speaker 3: of Clemson for getting their asses spanked. I made fun
- 46:58Speaker 3: of Oregon for struggling with Boise State. I was out
- 47:01Speaker 3: here laughing at everybody. Until I turned on the TV
- 47:05Speaker 3: last night and saw the biggest joke of them all,
- 47:08Speaker 3: which is the Florida State Seminoles football program. That's what
- 47:12Speaker 3: this is. Get him out of my program. Get him
- 47:15Speaker 3: off my sideline. I don't want to hear his raspy-ass
- 47:17Speaker 3: Doc Rivers voice no more. I'm done with it. Get
- 47:20Speaker 3: him out the paint. All right? You know what he
- 47:22Speaker 3: can do? He can go be a GA somewhere else.
- 47:24Speaker 3: And to the players, and this is all I'm going
- 47:26Speaker 3: to say about the players, because I'm not going to
- 47:27Speaker 3: blame the kids. Yeah, y'all made terrible mistakes, but you
- 47:29Speaker 3: know what? And y'all getting paid now. But I'm not
- 47:32Speaker 3: going to say nothing to y'all. Here is what I
- 47:33Speaker 3: would say if I was a coach and what the
- 47:36Speaker 3: coach and I would hope that our coaches are saying
- 47:39Speaker 3: to them. Where's your pride? Where's your pride at? You're
- 47:43Speaker 3: putting film out here for people to see. What's your
- 47:46Speaker 3: goal in life? You want to go to the league?
- 47:48Speaker 3: You think somebody in the league going to pick you
- 47:50Speaker 3: up putting this film out here? That's what you think?
- 47:53Speaker 3: Let me ask you this. How many players right now,
- 47:55Speaker 3: if they walked along campus and took their helmet or
- 47:58Speaker 3: ain't have no Florida State gear on, how many of
- 47:59Speaker 3: them going to actually get some play? None of them
- 48:03Speaker 3: because all of them soft. Don't nobody know who you are.
- 48:06Speaker 3: One thing you know about being at Florida State is
- 48:08Speaker 3: you knew the players. You knew the players. Jared Burse
- 48:12Speaker 3: could walk around on that campus right now and snatch
- 48:14Speaker 3: it because they know who he is. Trey Benson, they
- 48:18Speaker 3: know who he is. We can go all the way back.
- 48:20Speaker 3: Peter Ward, they know who he is. Dalvin Cook, they
- 48:23Speaker 3: know who you are. Marvin Jones, old as hell, they
- 48:26Speaker 3: know who you are. How many people on this squad
- 48:29Speaker 3: are we going to look back on in five years? Hell,
- 48:32Speaker 3: in two years and say, that kid right there left
- 48:34Speaker 3: his mark on Florida State. Hell, Jermaine Johnson played for
- 48:37Speaker 3: us for nine months and everybody can.
- 48:39Speaker 1: Say Jermaine Johnson now.
- 48:41Speaker 3: He's good forever in Tallahassee. That boy got a brick
- 48:44Speaker 3: right now after nine months of work. We remember Jermaine Johnson.
- 48:49Speaker 3: How many of the players on this squad are we
- 48:51Speaker 3: going to remember? Not a damn one. And the fact
- 48:53Speaker 3: that you are at one of the blue blood programs
- 48:56Speaker 3: of the NCAA right now, in college football, and nobody
- 49:00Speaker 3: knows who you are, you ain't leaving no mark, that
- 49:02Speaker 3: lets me know that you're not leaving a mark. You
- 49:04Speaker 3: are a mark. Every single one of y'all should be
- 49:07Speaker 3: ashamed of yourselves. this bitch asses and this softness that
- 49:11Speaker 3: I see in my program right now, I'm not tolerating
- 49:14Speaker 3: it no more, not tolerating it no more. It's ridiculous.
- 49:17Speaker 3: And then we think we're going to go to the
- 49:18Speaker 3: Big Ten and collect all of this bread and we're
- 49:21Speaker 3: going to do X, Y, Z. No, you are a
- 49:24Speaker 3: terrible ass program right now. They talk about we second rate.
- 49:27Speaker 3: We ain't even second rate no more. We damn near
- 49:29Speaker 3: third rate right now. All of the jokes I'm getting, man,
- 49:32Speaker 3: I had people blowing me up on the timeline going, damn, bruh,
- 49:35Speaker 3: y'all going to the Big Ten. Y'all might be going
- 49:37Speaker 3: to the Big East. Damn, we in the Big East now? Like,
- 49:40Speaker 3: that's what we doing? Like, come on, bruh. This is terrible.
- 49:44Speaker 3: This is terrible. No pride whatsoever. What-so-ever. Out of the players,
- 49:50Speaker 3: out of the coaches. I don't know what the hell
- 49:52Speaker 3: y'all getting paid for. I would like to, honestly, if
- 49:55Speaker 3: I had a chance to ask Mike Novell one question,
- 49:57Speaker 3: I would legitimately ask him this. I go, what do
- 49:58Speaker 3: your quarterbacks do during the week? Because they damn sure
- 50:02Speaker 3: not looking at film. They damn sure not throwing the
- 50:04Speaker 3: ball downfield. They damn sure not do. I mean, what
- 50:07Speaker 3: do they do all week long? Because you got a 6'6,
- 50:10Speaker 3: inch tall, wide receiver that was manned up by a 5'9,
- 50:14Speaker 3: cornerback all night. You targeted him, what, four times? Four times?
- 50:18Speaker 3: The man got four catches on 50 yards for the season.
- 50:21Speaker 3: And one of the games was against a D2 school. 6'6. 6'6,
- 50:26Speaker 3: being guarded by a 5'9, head up. Head up. I'll
- 50:29Speaker 3: say that for all of the nonsense that we gave
- 50:31Speaker 3: him last year, hell, Tommy would have aired that motherfucker
- 50:33Speaker 3: out last year. Deuce would have got his targets. We
- 50:36Speaker 3: got one kid who's probably the fastest wide receiver in
- 50:39Speaker 3: college football on the other side of the field. We
- 50:41Speaker 3: can't hit him on a proper go route. Hell, I
- 50:43Speaker 3: saw the man run a go route. I had to
- 50:44Speaker 3: turn around and slow down and catch the shit because
- 50:46Speaker 3: of the miserable past that this sorry ass quarterback that
- 50:49Speaker 3: we got threw out here. But our coach think that
- 50:52Speaker 3: he the quarterback whisperer. He think he can change something.
- 50:55Speaker 3: We saw the film. We knew he was trash before
- 50:57Speaker 3: he got here. And by every report that I'm seeing
- 51:00Speaker 3: right now, he was like your ninth pick, and you
- 51:02Speaker 3: went and panic-paid his Sarab. And then you turn around
- 51:05Speaker 3: when you got two workhorses in the backfield, and you're
- 51:08Speaker 3: going to dump money on a running back out of
- 51:10Speaker 3: Texas that played in garbage time last week. I understand
- 51:17Speaker 3: he ain't have a spring and a summer, but I
- 51:18Speaker 3: don't give a damn. I got a workhorse, a young
- 51:20Speaker 3: workhorse with legs that's ready to go and that look
- 51:24Speaker 3: like a damn bow and arrow at this point. You
- 51:26Speaker 3: could put a string on that boy and shoot arrows
- 51:28Speaker 3: because his legs that bent. And then I got another
- 51:31Speaker 3: boy that's quick, shifty, and is moving piles in Singleton.
- 51:36Speaker 3: My running back room is solid right now, but we
- 51:39Speaker 3: got an O-line that's trash. We got a quarterback that's trash.
- 51:42Speaker 3: We got a play caller that's trash. And I'm supposed
- 51:46Speaker 3: to sign up for this? Man, Florida State Nation, don't
- 51:50Speaker 3: go to NAMM games for the rest of the year.
- 51:52Speaker 3: The only reason you even need to be up there
- 51:54Speaker 3: at this point is if you want to boo Mike
- 51:56Speaker 3: the next time they put him on the Jumbotron. I
- 51:58Speaker 3: heard about what happened up there. It was like, hey,
- 52:00Speaker 3: Marching Chiefs, you get to go to the Macy's Day
- 52:02Speaker 3: Parade and play.
- 52:03Speaker 4: Boo!
- 52:06Speaker 3: Booed his ass out of here. Not the Chiefs. They
- 52:08Speaker 3: booed Mike. And that right there just goes to show
- 52:11Speaker 3: you how ass backwards this program is. You know he's unpopular.
- 52:15Speaker 3: You know we've been calling to get him fired. You've
- 52:18Speaker 3: seen the signs that we holding up. Y'all got people
- 52:20Speaker 3: on social media seeing it. And y'all didn't think they
- 52:22Speaker 3: had a foresight to have anybody else in the stadium
- 52:25Speaker 3: let the marching Chiefs know that. You could have had
- 52:29Speaker 3: anybody else let them know that. But you put his
- 52:33Speaker 3: salt and pepper headed ass up there for him to
- 52:36Speaker 3: get booed. Like, come on, bro. This program is miserable.
- 52:42Speaker 3: And I'm done with it. I'm done with it. Anyway,
- 52:45Speaker 3: outside of that, though, I had a fantastic day today.
- 52:48Speaker 3: I had a fantastic day today, so I hope they
- 52:50Speaker 3: didn't ruin your day too much because I know you
- 52:53Speaker 3: catch a hell on the timeline just like I am
- 52:55Speaker 3: at this point. All I can do is sit back
- 52:57Speaker 3: and just look because I'm down here. I live down
- 53:00Speaker 3: here in South Florida. These Shames fans are relentless. I'm
- 53:04Speaker 3: seeing people don't even know nothing about the school walking
- 53:07Speaker 3: around with damn University of Coral Gables, Her Shames paraphernalia
- 53:11Speaker 3: all over their cars, all over their shirts. They just
- 53:15Speaker 3: got it on key chains. It's the people that I
- 53:17Speaker 3: don't even know nothing about football. I got people that
- 53:19Speaker 3: was born in Haiti, walking around here, talking about the
- 53:22Speaker 3: university of Coral Gables, her or Shane's. I'm like, man,
- 53:24Speaker 3: you a soccer fan. Like get the hell out of here.
- 53:27Speaker 3: And I got to live amongst this. I come on, bro.
- 53:30Speaker 3: This is terrible. This is terrible. And I, I need
- 53:34Speaker 3: to know when. That's all I need to know. I
- 53:36Speaker 3: need to know when. If you're not going to do
- 53:38Speaker 3: it right now, you want to let him go get
- 53:40Speaker 3: his head caved in by Alabama? Cool. Then let him
- 53:42Speaker 3: get his head caved in by Alabama. Let's install another
- 53:45Speaker 3: coach and let's get the youth out there so that
- 53:47Speaker 3: we can get these boys some actual development. We need
- 53:51Speaker 3: our coaches that are still going to be on staff.
- 53:53Speaker 3: We need y'all to teach what's going on. That's what
- 53:55Speaker 3: we need you to do for the rest of the year.
- 53:57Speaker 3: I'll take three wins if I got a whole youth
- 54:00Speaker 3: movement and this head coach gone. I already said it
- 54:03Speaker 3: last year, and I told you on this program right here.
- 54:05Speaker 3: I said it last year when they told us that
- 54:07Speaker 3: he was coming back before the Florida game. I said
- 54:10Speaker 3: that they've just let us know that they're punting on
- 54:12Speaker 3: the 2026 season. That's exactly what they told us, and
- 54:15Speaker 3: that's exactly what we're seeing out here on the field.
- 54:18Speaker 3: They punted on this season, and now they need to
- 54:20Speaker 3: do right by us, this same loyal fan base that
- 54:23Speaker 3: packed out that stadium last night and stayed after some
- 54:26Speaker 3: moron tore up a damn transformer. And all of us
- 54:30Speaker 3: who watch the games, they need to do right by
- 54:32Speaker 3: us and get him out of there. Tiny Hat Gang,
- 54:37Speaker 3: we out. Go Nobles, baby.
- 54:39Speaker 2: My God, Tiny Hat, appreciate you for joining. Y'all is
- 54:42Speaker 2: bringing the heat. We're going to jump over to Ronald.
- 54:44Speaker 2: um it'll be the last caller we have for the
- 54:47Speaker 2: night just to wrap the show up ron are you
- 54:49Speaker 2: there talk to me what you got.
- 54:54Speaker 1: Hold on yeah let me unmute can you hear me
- 55:01Speaker 1: yeah you sound pretty good you're good.
- 55:02Speaker 8: To go okay yeah i had called in last but
- 55:05Speaker 8: i actually talked to tony head earlier on um twitter
- 55:09Speaker 8: but um I went scorched earth when I called it
- 55:14Speaker 8: last week. And bro, I've been so mad all day.
- 55:20Speaker 8: I'm really mad because I stayed up to watch the bullshit.
- 55:24Speaker 8: Was really mad. I knew he was going to lose
- 55:26Speaker 8: and I never bet against my team. And I took
- 55:30Speaker 8: SMU minus three and a half. I bumped it up
- 55:32Speaker 8: a half a point and fuck around and lost my push.
- 55:34Speaker 8: So that made me more mad that I stayed up
- 55:36Speaker 8: and lost my fucking bet.
- 55:38Speaker 1: So stayed up, bet against the team and lost.
- 55:42Speaker 8: I don't never bet against Florida State, but that's how
- 55:46Speaker 8: I know I don't get the apathy to set in
- 55:48Speaker 8: so much because I don't even bet against my team.
- 55:51Speaker 1: I'm like, fuck it.
- 55:52Speaker 8: If we're going to lose, I might as well get
- 55:54Speaker 8: some money.
- 55:57Speaker 4: Listen, I'm looking at clips on Twitter.
- 56:01Speaker 8: I knew we was playing off coverage, which we shouldn't
- 56:04Speaker 8: have been, but it's third and one.
- 56:06Speaker 4: We're 15 yards off the ball.
- 56:12Speaker 8: I said this to my friend, the exact same words
- 56:15Speaker 8: of what Tanya had said earlier. This is D-B-U. You
- 56:21Speaker 8: recruited Lester and all these other guys.
- 56:24Speaker 4: Let them go out there and play man.
- 56:27Speaker 8: Florida State football has always been four down linemen. We're
- 56:32Speaker 8: going to have two dogs at the end. We're going
- 56:34Speaker 8: to be able to get pressure, and we're going to
- 56:36Speaker 8: be able to man up and cover your ass on
- 56:38Speaker 8: the outside.
- 56:39Speaker 4: That's Florida State football. D-B-U. This 3-3-5, I knew it
- 56:44Speaker 4: was a bad idea when we.
- 56:46Speaker 8: Got it, when I gave him a chance. Hell, we
- 56:48Speaker 8: lit Tony White's ass up when he was at Syracuse.
- 56:53Speaker 8: I remember that, and I was like, why is.
- 56:55Speaker 4: This dude getting all the play? Because I don't remember
- 56:57Speaker 4: him being good. I was like, let me give him
- 57:00Speaker 4: a chance. But nah.
- 57:02Speaker 8: Who the hell told Mandrell that he was playing 2K? Bro,
- 57:12Speaker 8: Then the funny part about it, you got your ass
- 57:15Speaker 8: obliterated right when you came across that line. And I'm
- 57:19Speaker 8: glad they jacked his ass up because, dude. And they
- 57:23Speaker 8: hyped up Nick Williams as a defensive end coach. If
- 57:27Speaker 8: he ain't cussed that man out after that play, they
- 57:32Speaker 8: could at least, bro.
- 57:33Speaker 4: And this is how I feel. The way that defense
- 57:37Speaker 4: was set up last night was a fireball offense.
- 57:42Speaker 8: If you ain't going to fire Mike this week, at
- 57:45Speaker 8: least fire Tony White and let somebody else coordinate the
- 57:49Speaker 8: defense and get something going.
- 57:52Speaker 4: Because as long as.
- 57:53Speaker 8: That man calling plays, and then I know the defense,
- 57:59Speaker 8: now I could be wrong, but the head coach has
- 58:02Speaker 8: a ton of me to overrule certain stuff, correct? So
- 58:07Speaker 8: if you see that they're playing 15 yards off the ball,
- 58:10Speaker 8: it's like.
- 58:10Speaker 4: Third and one.
- 58:12Speaker 8: As a head coach, wouldn't you go over to Tony
- 58:14Speaker 8: and be like, Tony, what are you trying to accomplish here?
- 58:18Speaker 8: Why are we just giving them first downs? That's what
- 58:22Speaker 8: I want to know. What was the conversation between Mike
- 58:24Speaker 8: and Tony? Did you not intervene and say, dude, what
- 58:28Speaker 8: are you doing? This don't make no sense. Like, at
- 58:33Speaker 8: this point, bro, I wouldn't let Mike Norvell coach a
- 58:36Speaker 8: damn AU team. Like, Bro, some of this is coming since.
- 58:41Speaker 8: You getting paid $ 10 million? You can't recruit? You can't develop?
- 58:47Speaker 8: And you can't coach? We got the damn coach from
- 58:54Speaker 8: Waterboy that lost his playbook. Just sitting there lost at
- 58:57Speaker 8: the beginning of the movie. That is Mike Norvell in
- 59:01Speaker 8: a nutshell.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Damn, that's a good one.
- 59:04Speaker 4: Boy, listen. I can't remember what his name is. Coach Kline.
- 59:08Speaker 4: We got Coach Kline.
- 59:09Speaker 8: We are the damn Louisiana Mud Dogs.
- 59:17Speaker 4: We got Coach Kline out here. And we might as well, bro.
- 59:22Speaker 1: Bro.
- 59:25Speaker 3: Bro.
- 59:27Speaker 8: At least give us Tony Whitehead on the platter or something.
- 59:30Speaker 8: But if you remember my call last week, what did
- 59:33Speaker 8: I say? I said, we're going to lose the SMU.
- 59:37Speaker 8: I said, we losing the Bama and his ass is
- 59:40Speaker 8: going to get fired at Virginia. That thing is coming
- 59:45Speaker 8: to fruition. I'm telling you, I saw it.
- 59:48Speaker 4: Virginia is D-Day.
- 59:50Speaker 8: We're going to get blowed out by Alabama.
- 59:53Speaker 4: I went back and looked at that game.
- 59:56Speaker 8: That quarterback is going to eat us alive. He might
- 1:00:00Speaker 8: have a damn house.
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: In a moment.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: He had a good game against NC State. Man, listen.
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: He ran for over 100 yards.
- 1:00:10Speaker 8: And Dennis, the times he did scramble, he got long
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: runs and he's not even looking to run.
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: This dude might run for about 150.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Yeah, we didn't set the edge at all.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: No, we can't.
- 1:00:23Speaker 8: When your end's getting pancaked, and listen, I don't know who,
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: everybody hyped up her hand evaluation and his teacher. If
- 1:00:32Speaker 8: he's the one that evaluated 79 and said he could
- 1:00:36Speaker 8: play on this level, That's a fireball offense. I was
- 1:00:41Speaker 8: an offensive lineman. I probably can block better than that
- 1:00:44Speaker 8: motherfucker right now, and I'm 38. I probably can, bro.
- 1:00:50Speaker 8: He is trash. Like, Your footwork's bad. Your head's in
- 1:00:55Speaker 8: the wrong place. Like, it's like he hadn't even been coached.
- 1:00:59Speaker 8: And then you had the nerve precinct. We got them.
- 1:01:02Speaker 8: Jonathan Daniels coming along. We got Bowling. We got Paps.
- 1:01:07Speaker 8: And that's the five you rolled out.
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: And then Tiny had, like you.
- 1:01:10Speaker 8: Said, we moved– we put Bowling at right guard, and
- 1:01:13Speaker 8: they moved Paps out to right tackle.
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: Then that's when we started moving the ball.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: Okay, that makes sense.
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: That's when we started moving up. You was at the games.
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: We put both in there.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: Then they moved the right guard. Passed out the right tackle.
- 1:01:29Speaker 8: That's when we started moving the ball in the second
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: half because we couldn't do that because of him before that.
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: It took out two quarters and four quarters of last
- 1:01:38Speaker 8: week and all of summer to know that this kid
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: can't play.
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: And you started him.
- 1:01:45Speaker 8: And if that's the case, if I'm Jonathan Daniels and
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: them guys, I'm going to say, just like all the
- 1:01:51Speaker 8: other offensive linemen, I must need to transfer because if
- 1:01:54Speaker 8: this guy's starting over me, what does that tell me?
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: And you recruited me. Listen, I would take a fix
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: that he's starting over me.
- 1:02:05Speaker 8: But all in all, I can't find no good positive
- 1:02:10Speaker 8: light at the end of it. But I can reiterate, Virginia...
- 1:02:15Speaker 8: Everybody talking about that bye week after Miami. His ass
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: ain't making it that far. We going to be 2-2.
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: If we get blew out at home versus Virginia, you
- 1:02:25Speaker 8: know how bad them Bulls is going to be?
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: Terrible.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: It's going to be ugly, man. I can tell you
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: that for sure.
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: Terrible.
- 1:02:34Speaker 8: I told somebody on Twitter this earlier today. I don't
- 1:02:38Speaker 8: stay in Florida.
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: I'm in South Carolina. I usually make it out to
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: a game once a year. In Tallahassee.
- 1:02:46Speaker 8: And then if we play Clemson up here, I'm about
- 1:02:48Speaker 8: 20 minutes from Clemson.
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: About 30 minutes. I'm from Greenville, South Carolina.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: You're from Greenville?
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: I love Greenville.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: The area is beautiful right now.
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: Say that again?
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Greenville is beautiful right now. I love that area.
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, man.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: Growing. Top five.
- 1:03:04Speaker 8: I think we're number two city in the United States
- 1:03:06Speaker 8: to move to destinations.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely.
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: Yep, yep, yep. Growing.
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: But.
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: It's like, and I got to hear, I mean, I
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: got to hear it from clubs.
- 1:03:18Speaker 8: In fact, they can't really talk to me right now
- 1:03:19Speaker 8: because we both terrible, but usually I have to get into.
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: It with them.
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: But, and it's funny while I'm bringing them up, our
- 1:03:26Speaker 8: programs looked at that same terrible quarterback play, terrible line play,
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: terrible coaching.
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: We both looked at that same.
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: No, I ain't going to say that, but them motherfuckers
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: look a lot worse than us, bro.
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: Well, you think, I think LSU is just really good.
- 1:03:42Speaker 4: They do, they do it bad.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: But, but from a, I guess they will. They can't
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: figure out a damn quarterback. Their running backs aren't that good.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: We got a really good running back side.
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: They line terrible.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: Yeah, their line is terrible. I don't think our line
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: is that damn bad, but it's close. We'll see how
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: the rest of the season progresses. Like Dabo said, it
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: is just one game, but that one game was pretty damning.
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: I just don't see.
- 1:04:08Speaker 8: Ashton Daniels has been playing football for a long time.
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: And year five... He's a grown ass. I don't consider
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: him a kid.
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: One, he's making $ 800, 000 reportedly.
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: He ain't no kid to me.
- 1:04:24Speaker 8: Your grown ass couldn't throw for more than 65 yards
- 1:04:27Speaker 8: in a game.
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: SMU not world beaters. If you know football, which I
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: know you do.
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: Anybody that know football, if you look at SMU defense,
- 1:04:40Speaker 8: they're not good.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: They weren't at all.
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: They wasn't good. And they wasn't... Willie... Willie... One of
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: Willie's teams might could have beat them at SMU last night.
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: And Cyrus and I think James Button would.
- 1:04:56Speaker 8: I did think he was the worst quarterback in FSU history,
- 1:04:59Speaker 8: but now DJU and.
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: Ashton Daniels hold my beer. But I take James Button
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: over there with Ashton Daniels today. At least he's going
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: to throw the damn ball. And Deuce... He need to
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: file a damn lawsuit. Y'all had me come back. I'm
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: losing money. Yeah. He need to file.
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: Listen, what it was. And speaking of that, I know
- 1:05:25Speaker 8: your dad's alone now.
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: I got a son.
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: He but not Florida State. My favorite school. I've been
- 1:05:32Speaker 8: a Florida State fan. When kids was watching cartoons on
- 1:05:35Speaker 8: Saturday mornings, I'll get ready to watch Florida State football.
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: I'm 38.
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: I go all the way back to what, 93. Ward
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: Dunn is my first football player.
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: I go back.
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: And I can say if my son was a.
- 1:05:49Speaker 8: Top recruit, I would not let him play for Coach Norville.
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: I'd say, son, you can't go there. You ain't going
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: to get the bill. Hell, we got a.
- 1:05:59Speaker 8: Kid from Greenville on the team, Franklin Whitley, defensive end.
- 1:06:03Speaker 8: He's fucking a freshman.
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: He's 6'7.
- 1:06:05Speaker 8: What a wit. He's about 6'7, 250, and he don't
- 1:06:10Speaker 8: even play.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: I'm like, shit, y'all at least try him out. He's
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: a fucking monster. We stole him from Georgia.
- 1:06:18Speaker 8: He's a little rough around there, but it's like y'all
- 1:06:20Speaker 8: got to try something new.
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: We gave the Dezeers all that money. Bro, you got
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: a 4% pressure rate I saw today? Mandrill Dezeer? A
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: 4% pressure rate? I can do that. Four percent?
- 1:06:38Speaker 8: Like, we probably in the main, don't go as millionaires
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: for nothing.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: We got scammed.
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: Mike scammed us. Start from the top. Mike scammed us.
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: Then the players scammed us. Kevin Wynn, you held us.
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: I went to my rant last week.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: I got to go back again.
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: Kevin Wynn held us hostage, not even on the field. Desirous,
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: it might as well not be on the field. He
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: ain't doing nothing.
- 1:07:04Speaker 8: Everybody, Jabril Rawls, he played a little better when the
- 1:07:07Speaker 8: whole DBs got cooked.
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: But I can't even blame the DBs.
- 1:07:11Speaker 8: When you're lined up 15 yards off the ball on
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: third and one, third and short, you're not going to
- 1:07:17Speaker 8: be successful.
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: I think that on Tony White. I'm not even blaming them.
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: But at the same time, as a player, I know
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: you ain't supposed to undermine your coach, but somebody in
- 1:07:28Speaker 8: the room has to say, Coach, why can't you.
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: Play more man-to-man? And you can bring the blitz. Why
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: are you blitzing? You got DBs 15 yards off the ball.
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: This is the thing that get me, CJ.
- 1:07:42Speaker 8: Some of this shit come and sit. Like, my mama,
- 1:07:47Speaker 8: I've been watching football so long, my mama's.
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: A Florida State fan. I got her into football. My
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: mama just turned 69 Saturday. She can watch the game
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: and ask me, why are they doing that? That don't
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: look right.
- 1:08:01Speaker 8: If a 69-year-old woman that hardly knows football can look
- 1:08:05Speaker 8: at our defense and see that don't make sense and
- 1:08:09Speaker 8: these guys are making a.
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: Million dollars to coach this up, that's beyond fire, bro.
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: Tony White should.
- 1:08:15Speaker 8: Listen, somebody else has called the defense before in that
- 1:08:18Speaker 8: locker room. Get somebody. Tony White should not have a
- 1:08:23Speaker 8: job today. Mike called the Terrible game, yes. But that
- 1:08:29Speaker 8: Tony White game plan, we gave them 600 yards of offense, bro.
- 1:08:34Speaker 8: And they're not that good.
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: They are not that good. I want their offense.
- 1:08:41Speaker 8: Kevin Jennings is good. But the rest of the team,
- 1:08:44Speaker 8: they average. They going to take some L's. They might lose.
- 1:08:47Speaker 4: They might win about six or seven, maybe eight games.
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: But they ain't world beaters. And with the schedule we
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: got coming up, like Tanya had said, it's over, man.
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: After Central Arkansas.
- 1:08:59Speaker 8: You might not win another game unless it's BC or
- 1:09:02Speaker 8: NC State. But I personally just feel like, and I
- 1:09:06Speaker 8: want your opinion. Do you think after, let's say we
- 1:09:10Speaker 8: get blowed out by Belmont, which is probably going to happen,
- 1:09:14Speaker 8: and we get rolled at home versus Virginia, do you
- 1:09:16Speaker 8: think that's the last game?
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Possibly could be. Bama could be the guy at last game.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: To be honest with you, I wouldn't be surprised at nothing.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: I wouldn't be surprised at an announcement tomorrow. I wouldn't
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: be surprised at nothing after Miami, end of the season.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: I wouldn't be surprised after I end this goddamn live
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: and they say I wouldn't be surprised at none of that.
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: So I could see it happening with a bad loss
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: to Bama. I could definitely see it happening, blowout loss,
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: especially a home game to Virginia. I do know home game,
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: certain boosters coming to town on Sunday mornings.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: They have meetings to talk about certain things.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: After the home game. So, yeah, I could see something
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: like that with a terrible Virginia. If Virginia Allen had
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: that meeting that morning, then, you know, they'd make a
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: decision and go from there.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: So, to answer your question, but I wouldn't be surprised
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: at anything.
- 1:10:04Speaker 8: Was the vibe in the stadium like, I don't know
- 1:10:08Speaker 8: if he was around big money people, but was the
- 1:10:09Speaker 8: vibe in the stadium like, are you ready to get
- 1:10:12Speaker 8: him out of here?
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I wasn't around the money folks within the stadium,
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: but I mean, if Just the vibe in the stadium,
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: I mean, I'm pretty sure they're feeling the same way
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: as the same motherfuckers that were saying, you know, in
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: the stands, that type of deal.
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: Same feelings.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Just bigger wallets, if that makes sense.
- 1:10:29Speaker 8: Yeah, because, see, I was at the game Willie got fired,
- 1:10:32Speaker 8: that last Miami game, and I remember leaving the stadium saying, oh,
- 1:10:36Speaker 8: this is his last game, because I was, I had
- 1:10:38Speaker 8: 50-yard line seats.
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: I was.
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: And the runner was definitely wall for that, and we
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: kind of saw that coming for sure.
- 1:10:44Speaker 8: Man, for that game, because they was cheap tickets. I
- 1:10:47Speaker 8: got 50-yard line seats. I was second row right behind
- 1:10:51Speaker 8: the bench. And the vibes back there, I knew he
- 1:10:55Speaker 8: was about to be fired.
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: They was furious.
- 1:10:57Speaker 8: The money people that came down from the damn boxes
- 1:11:01Speaker 8: and was down there yelling, I said, yeah, they about
- 1:11:03Speaker 8: to get him gone.
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: This is the last game.
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: They was furious.
- 1:11:06Speaker 8: I don't know if it's down to that point, but
- 1:11:09Speaker 8: it really should be past that point. I thought Willie
- 1:11:12Speaker 8: was back, but All I can say is Norvell looks
- 1:11:15Speaker 8: like Coach Kline. He used to be a decent coach,
- 1:11:18Speaker 8: but he literally looks like he forgot how to coach.
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: He's like Coach Kline on Waterboy. That's exactly what we got.
- 1:11:23Speaker 8: I don't know what this snub did to his mental,
- 1:11:26Speaker 8: his wife cheating. We need to get some co-eds. Go
- 1:11:33Speaker 8: down sorority road. We need a scandal or something. We
- 1:11:37Speaker 8: need some kind of.
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: Boy, listen. Mike Norvell, whoever listened to this podcast.
- 1:11:43Speaker 8: Somebody got some dirt on Mike Norvell.
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: Somebody. Somebody.
- 1:11:49Speaker 8: We got to have a cause for something. We got
- 1:11:51Speaker 8: to be something. That man ain't that squeaky clean. Because
- 1:11:55Speaker 8: it got to be something. We got to get him
- 1:11:56Speaker 8: up out of here. And I was listening to Jeff
- 1:12:00Speaker 8: Cameron earlier today. And he was like, at some point,
- 1:12:06Speaker 8: my agent going to have to step in and say,
- 1:12:08Speaker 8: you know, You're ruining your coaching career.
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: Maybe we should just negotiate a buyout.
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: For what?
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: Why would his agent tell him that when he's getting
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: the kickback of that contract? Man, Mike getting paid $ 10 million.
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: Ain't no agent in here that will tell you this
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: and a third.
- 1:12:26Speaker 8: I was thinking that too, bro. I was thinking that too.
- 1:12:32Speaker 8: But this thing got so bad, if he ever wants
- 1:12:35Speaker 8: to coach again.
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: He looks worse.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: That's cool, but you got 50 or 60 in the bank, too,
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: as well. So, I get that, but at the same
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: damn time, man, like, as an agent.
- 1:12:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I can live off 50 or 60. Really, I
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: ain't got a coaching hand.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: With this contract I just constructed, I ain't tell you
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: to do nothing but let it ride out and let
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: them motherfuckers pull the trigger and pay you and me
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: that money.
- 1:13:00Speaker 8: But don't he just look so miserable like he.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: Like he's waiting for it to be over.
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: Yeah, he look like he.
- 1:13:07Speaker 8: He's trying to hang on, but his facial expressions is
- 1:13:11Speaker 8: just like, Lord, I can't wait for this to be over.
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: I hate coming out here and taking these questions.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: Body language, bro.
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: And again, I think all of us started after that
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: 23 snub, everything changed. You see the 2 and 10,
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: 5 and 7. Everything is weighing on. I mean, he
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: feel the pressure of the world right now. But, Ron,
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: we got to wrap things up pretty quick. Give me
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: your last take before we get moving.
- 1:13:31Speaker 8: That's all, bro. I appreciate the show. I like listening
- 1:13:34Speaker 8: to you. Give you props and everything. Say what I
- 1:13:38Speaker 8: had to say. But everybody stay strong. We're going to
- 1:13:42Speaker 8: make it through. But watch for next week because if
- 1:13:45Speaker 8: we get blowed out by Belmont, that Virginia game, I
- 1:13:49Speaker 8: really feel like that's when we're going to get our
- 1:13:51Speaker 8: good news.
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: Yeah, two weeks.
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: We got a bye week after this one. So we
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: got to wait for two weeks to see which probably
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: is a good damn thing. Two weeks until we see
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: some more FSU football.
- 1:13:59Speaker 4: Hold up.
- 1:14:00Speaker 8: We got a bye week before Central Arkansas?
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Nah, we got to buy it before Bama.
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, that's right. This weekend. Yeah, you're right.
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: That's all I.
- 1:14:10Speaker 8: Wanted to say, bro. I think Virginia's the day. I
- 1:14:14Speaker 8: don't see us beating them. Tony Elliott is just too
- 1:14:16Speaker 8: good of a coach. And he's going to out-scheme Mike.
- 1:14:20Speaker 8: I just don't see him losing to Mike Norvell. Not
- 1:14:22Speaker 8: this Mike Norvell. Mike Norvell could have beat him maybe
- 1:14:25Speaker 8: three or four years ago.
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: Could have beat him last year, to be honest, which
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: would mean a spot on 14 points. That's a different
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: damn conversation. Appreciate you both for sure, man. We'll definitely
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: tap back in around that time, and we'll see. Like
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: I said, I wouldn't be surprised if it happened after Bama, Virginia,
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: or any game after that.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: But we'll be on alert to see how them boys respond,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: and we'll go from there. Respond, right?
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: No Mike Norvell term. We'll see. Appreciate you for coming, Ronnie.
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: Most definitely.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: All right, that was Ronald, man.
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: Good stuff.
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: All right, we'll probably wrap it up real quick. Make
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: sure you guys take that. We have over 700 folks
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: in here, man. I should have 700 likes. Show a
