- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Turned on here.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: And uh so I want to look at uh Romans chapter 5.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: And uh yeah, you're gonna get challenged to believe that God is that good because we're gonna look at God, and I can't look at him without being in awe of his goodness.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: And uh uh when we look at this, what we want to see tonight is I'm really excited because I I'm really trusting in our the Holy Spirit to to uh to show us something here.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, if he doesn't, we don't see it, right?
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: And that's what he's here for, so he's happy to do that.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Um we want to uh humble ourselves to it and and just and let him do his wonderful uh revealing in us, because what this will do, if you see this tonight, if you can, if you if if if if you if you open your ears and and I don't need I don't even want to make it sound like you have that much to do.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: Just look at it, okay?
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Just look at this tonight and enjoy it.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Set back, enjoy what's about to be shown, and that's all you gotta do, okay?
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: Um, but as you do, um there's an opportunity for everything to change.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Uh because we're looking, we're gonna look at how great, how great our salvation is, and I believe in such a way that it's overwhelming, so that we don't struggle with some of these other things that talk against it.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: You'll see what I'm talking about.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Romans chapter 5.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: I want to begin in verse 15.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: And uh verse 15 begins saying, but the free gift is not like the offense.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: Now he's talking about what Jesus brought as opposed to what Adam did to us, right?
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Or actually, we were man, we did it to ourselves.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: But the free gift is not like the offense.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: What Jesus did is not like what Adam did.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Because if by one man's offense many died, Adam's, much more, say much more.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Much more, much more the grace of God and the gift of grace by one man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: So right there, look at there.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: He says, Whatever Adam did, he said, the gift of Jesus is not like that.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: This is something that is that is much more.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: First thing I want you to see, and we'll see it over and over again, is that what we have, what Jesus did, is not just the equal opposite of what Adam did.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: What Jesus did did not just cover what Adam did.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: What Jesus did did not just match what Adam did.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: What Jesus did did not just bring us back even again.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: It didn't even take us to square one, it took us much more.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: Show you that.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Oh, this is gonna be good.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: Verse 16.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned, because the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Well, we see that in Genesis 3 right off the bat there.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, knowledge of good and evil.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Look at themselves, what'd they do?
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: They judge, they're ashamed, they're condemned.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: The judgment resulted in condemnation.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Adam and those after his image have struggled with that in some in various forms ever since.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: You're not good enough, you're trying to get there, you want value, you want to be validated, you want to be better, you want to make something of yourself, you want to be great, you want to be famous, you want to be rich, you want to be, you want, you want to be better, and it seems like there's never, ever, ever any real attaining to this man Adam.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: He covers himself with, he's he's he sees himself naked, he's ashamed, condemned because of it.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: He covers himself, didn't fix the shame, no matter what he does.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: He hides in the trees, still feels condemned, still doesn't want to come out.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: He says, but but what Jesus did is not like that.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: So through one man's uh one man's offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift that came from many offenses resulted in justification.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: Verse 17.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: For if by one man's offense death reigned through one, then much more, say much more, those who receive abundance, say abundance, much more those who receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness will reign in life through one Jesus Christ.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: In fact, all the down there at verse 20, I just want to point out, he says, moreover, the law entered that the offense might abound, but where sin abounded, grace much more abounded, abounded much more.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: And I I wanted to read that verse because this word, that word aboundance is the word pericio in the Greek, and it means it means superabundant.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: It's just like unquantifiable.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: That's just the word pericio.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: Uh, but but this says, where it says much, it it abounded much more, it's a it's a compound word of in Greek, and it's it's hooper perisio, or we would say hyper or super, super over, super abundance.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: This is something that you cannot quantify.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: It goes beyond what you could ask or think.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: It never runs out, it has no limits.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: This is the much more that we get from Jesus.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: Now, go with me to the book of 1 Corinthians 15.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: So I wanted to establish right there that what we're about to look at is we're gonna look at something here that is not the equal opposite of Adam.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: It did not level the playing field, it did not just pay back what Adam did.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: It took us farther than even what Adam, where Adam stood.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: I'll give you a hint right now.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: You know, I mean, you know, it's it's a lot of times we think of how how perfect the Garden of Eden uh was and is, and and and there, and and I talk about how God did make man in his likeness and in his image.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: Uh and and uh the Bible says in Genesis chapter 2, says God breathed into this man that he had formed from the dust of the earth.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: He breathed into him, and he breathed into him the breath of life, and man became a what?
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: A living soul or a living being.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: And this elevated him, didn't it?
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: It's what set him apart.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: It made him not like the beast of the field.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: But remember something.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: There were two trees in the midst of the garden, and and Adam partook of one that we know of, and we know he did not partake of the other one.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: In fact, God said, you know, they made sure, he said, lest he partake of the tree of life and live forever.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: I mean, he was he was living in that condemned condition.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: So remember, even though Adam was in this paradise and he was made in the likeness and image of God, and he was given the breath of life, and he became a living soul, a conscious being, somebody who could observe his own thoughts and be aware that he's thinking, and he wasn't just instinctual.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: He was he was he was he was more divine.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: But but he did not partake of the tree of life.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: We have.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: So we didn't just go back to Adam.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: We superabounded, we much more.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: Look at here, look at this in 1 Corinthians 15.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: We see this.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: He says, verse 45, and so it is written.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: The first man, Adam, became a living soul or a living being.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: King James might say quickening, it means giving life-giver.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: He was a life-giving spirit.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: Now, right there, right there, if we can just pause just for a moment, we see a differentiation right there between the first Adam and the last Adam, right?
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: The first Adam became a living soul.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: The last Adam became a quickening spirit.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: We know when we see them both walking even in this earth, we see a difference there, don't we?
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: For one, we see where the last Adam succeeded, where the first Adam failed in temptation, right?
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: We see uh where the last Adam uh succeeded in obedience for the first Adam uh did not.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: So there is a difference there.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: And uh and and and and when one became a living soul, the other one wasn't called just a living soul, the other one's called a life-giving spirit.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: So there's differences in these atoms here.
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: Adam.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: Verse 47.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: Now, no, excuse me.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, verse 47.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: No, verse 46.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: However, the spiritual is not first or was not first.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: Adam became a living soul, but did not partake of the tree of life.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: The spiritual was not first, but the natural.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: Look at that word natural, it means sensual, pertaining to the soul.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: Suke is the word, or psyche, we call it.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: But it's a soul, it's a living, it's not just your brain, but it's it has to do with the with this with with the psyche.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: Your soul is your your is an alive, and your soul is spirit, but it's not the Holy Spirit that that has made you uh who you are as a new creation.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: Because all of man has that soul.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: And the soul on its own is what Adam had.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: Did not partake of the tree of life.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Soul, no wonder it took of the knowledge of good and evil, because the soul is tied to the sense realm.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: The soul, the soul is is is is uh of you.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: It makes up who who most of you think your identity might be, or maybe you'd maybe it's changed because you've heard the word, but that's where most people's identity is.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: It's in your, it's in your experiences, it's in your thoughts, it's in the in your deductions, it's in your in your your your hearts, it's in their story of your life, it's in all of these things, all of these things are involved in your life.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: All the things that pertain to this world, all the things that pertain to the senses, as the brain has given in, given the information from out there.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: Your soul has made something, some kind of a sense out of it, whether it's whether it's right or wrong, it has made something out of this, and it causes you to react the way you do, to, you know, to to be the way that you are.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: But it's natural, it's pertaining to the senses, the sensual.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: The first Adam is a living soul.
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: But the first Adam was not spiritual, but natural.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: The last man, it says, afterward came the spiritual, Jesus.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: Watch.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: Verse 47 the first man was of the earth.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: Earthy.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: The second man is the Lord from heaven.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: Verse 48.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: And as was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: Or as was the earthy, so also are those who are earthy.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: And as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are heavenly.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: Now, one thing that we know is that with Jesus, when when the when the word uh brings this out and talks about this first Adam, last Adam, this is talking about identity because we were in him.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: That's why we were all dead in trespasses and sins.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: Jesus became a life-giving spirit, a life-imparting spirit, right?
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: And what he did was not is in a giving life.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: He did all the things are important, the reconciliation, the forgiveness of sins, the whole, all of the stuff that he did, every single bit of it had to be done.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: But we neglect such, uh, we're we're not aware of this wonderful thing that has made us our identity, has changed us, that he came and imparted himself into us when we received him.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: When we received him, we received, we partook of the tree of life.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: See, Galatians chapter 3 says it talks about, it talks about the law that was from Moses, but it also talks about the covenant of Abraham, which was way before the law.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: And he says, now that law and all that it did, said it could no way disannul the promise that God made to Abraham.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: That's what we're really about.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: That's why we're called children of Abraham, because we go back to that promise.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: And we are the children of that promise that God made to Abraham.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: And and Galatians 3 says, Christ has redeemed us.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: This is Galatians 3, 13.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, for it is written, cursed is he who hangs on the tree.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: So that the blessing of Abraham might come upon us, the Gentiles, that the promise of the Spirit, that the promise of the Spirit would be given to us.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: This thing was always in the works, it was always in the promise.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: This was what was going to change everything about man in Christ, is that we would have that spirit, that spirit of life, Holy Spirit, Spirit of God, Spirit of Christ, whatever you want to call it.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: It's God.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: It's the mystery that Paul talked about that is now unveiled through Christ, which is Christ in you, which had always been that hope of glory, but now he's become your glory and the lifter of your head.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: Your identity changes because you are not who you are.
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: You are not still just you with somebody else running around in there.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: You have become one with him.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: Now, the thing about it is I'm gonna I'm gonna show you why this is this is a simple thing that I want us to see here today.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: Something that Paul revealed to us so well that he saw as the Spirit made it clear to him.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: He saw, he thought, oh my goodness, what has God done?
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: And he looked at this and he says, if any man be in Christ, he's a new creation.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: He is something different.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: Old things, all the Adamic stuff, old things are passed away.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: Look, behold, everything is new.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: Now it's Christ in you has made a different person.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: And it says, as we have borne the image of the earthy man, and we have, so shall we also bear the image of the heavenly man.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: Who is the heavenly man?
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: Well, the earthy man was a living soul, but which is pretty awesome in creation, but the last man, Jesus, became a life-giving spirit.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: And as the first man Adam, who was made a living soul and was earthy, so also were we.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: But as the last man, Jesus came as a living soul, as he is, 1 John 4, 17, as he is, so are we now in this world.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: That's an exact quote.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: Now, here, if you want to look at context, he's talking specifically even about the body being changed.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: But but everything starts with this whole union with us in Christ and this identity that as he is, so are we.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: We have borne that image, and we now also bear, not in body yet, but in spirit absolutely, the image.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: We bear that same image of the earthly man who is a life-giving spirit.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: Now I'm going to show you why this is important, why this is good for you, why you'll love this and why it'll bless you.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: Just to know it.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: Such a big difference between just being a living soul and being a life-giver.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: Go with me to the book of 1 John, chapter 2.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: So Adam's a living soul here.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: He's got a free will, a living soul.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: He can make choices.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: He can choose his path.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: Independent.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: If he wants to be.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: He chooses.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: What makes sense to this very day still makes sense to the natural man.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: What does what remember uh Paul even said this?
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: He says, but the natural man, what did we just read?
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: That which came first, Adam, was not spiritual, but natural.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: The natural man does not receive the things of God, neither indeed can he, for their foolishness to him.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: See, Jesus had to do this whole thing for us.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: He had to give us this, the spirit.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: He had to give us life.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: He had to, only the spirit could ever make us even know any of this stuff.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: We could never make ourselves see this.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: He said, even Jesus was talking to them, and they're like, uh, what?
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: And he's like, oh, when the Spirit comes, he'll reveal it all to you.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: When the Spirit comes, he'll remind you of all this stuff.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: When the Spirit comes, he'll lead you in truth.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: When the Spirit comes, he'll help you.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: When the Spirit comes, he'll do it.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: When the Spirit, don't worry, the Spirit will give you the words.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: Because they couldn't get it without Him.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: And so Jesus gave.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: All we had to do was believe on Him.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: And when we did, we received of Him who is life.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: And look at the differences here between 1 Adam, Last Adam, and 1 John chapter 2.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: And I love this correlation.
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: I am so glad this is in the Bible.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: It is so clear-cut that you can look at this correlation and see the first man and the last man in it.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: 1 John chapter 2, verse 16.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: Just that one verse is all we really need to look at.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father, but it's of the world.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: The lust.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: The lust.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: Lust, I've said it many times, wrote a whole book about it.
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: That the lust comes from a sense of need.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: A sense of need that produces hunger, thirst, passion, desire, want, wish.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: All that's in the world, the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, a pride of life.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: Three points here.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: And we see the way the Bible is written, so uncanny here, we see that Jesus was tempted three times in the wilderness, right?
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: And he was tempted in these three lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: Adam was tempted, you know, if you want to get technical, Eve was tempted, Adam disobeyed, whatever.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: We'll say man, male and female, did the wrong thing.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: And the temptation was that that knowledge of good and evil, it looked like it would be good for food.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: Good to eat.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: Good to take in.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: Lust of the flesh.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: It looked good.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: It had appeal.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: Lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life.
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: It looked like a tree that could make us wise.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: We can be like God.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: Lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: Last Adam shows up.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: Now he's gonna be tempted.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: He's gonna have the exact same temptation.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: If you're the son of God, Jesus, see what the test is?
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: If you are the son of God.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: Jesus had been fasting 40 days, he hadn't eaten, he was hungry.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: The Bible said it.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: He hungered in his body.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: If you're the son of God, turn these stones into bread.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Eat.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: He didn't do it.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Watch this.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: Because a living soul pertains to the things of this world, all that is in the world.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: A living soul is trying to get Adam and Eve were trying to get something.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: Adam and Eve were trying to become something.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Adam and Eve had us were needing something.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: The living soul, look at this, this is why Christians struggle right here.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: Because Christians have been made a life-giving spirit, but they don't even know the truth that makes them free.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: And that's why they still operate as a living soul.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: And what a living soul does is it's got all these issues and it's got all these problems.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: And we all do, but living out of that, and they elevate that, they talk about that, they promote that.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: Oh, we're just so this, and we're just so nothing, and we're just so, and and and and it's so hard, and we, and you know, and and we're what we ought to be doing, and and what God really wants of us, and this is why God would be disappointed in us, and I really want to do better, and all that.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: What is all of that is about you?
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: Really, where you're falling short.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: A lust, a need, always coming short, a condemnation.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: Your problems seem sometimes so insurmountable because you're operating as simply an atom, a living soul.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: Jesus said, There are problems in the world, there's tribulation, but be of good cheer.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: I've overcome it.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: I'm making you a life giver.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: Why did Jesus not have the same problem the first one did?
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: Because he came as a living soul.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: You notice what he said?
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: Notice what happens when you're excuse me, he came as a life-giving spirit, not as a living soul.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: When you're just a living soul, we just read it there in Romans.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: He says, he says, that one man's offense, it said it resulted in a judgment.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: It brought a judgment that resulted in condemnation.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Have you noticed, you can call it the flesh, the living soul, just operating out of that, you always struggle in some way or another with forms of condemnation.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: By that, you're not there yet.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: You're not measuring up, you're trying to get better, you're on a journey.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: You're not on Mount Zion, you're climbing the mountain.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: You're not living in heavenly places with him.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: You're trying to get there, or trying to make yourself believe it, or trying to do, trying, trying something big, and all that is acknowledging something that's outside of reality because Jesus really did this.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: And it's making an acknowledgement that I'm not there, I'm not strong enough, I don't know enough, I'm not good enough, and you're judging yourself.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: And it results, just like it says, in condemnation.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: And not only what it does, because what we're talking about is this soul has taken in the knowledge of good and evil.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: And the reason for that knowledge is to make us judges.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: So we can judge, we can discern.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: So what we do with this judgment, what's it do?
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: It results in condemnation.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: Not only do it do we do it to us, we do it to everybody else.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: They don't measure up either.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: Then we try to help ourselves by saying, Well, you know, I don't measure up, but at least I'm better than you are or you are.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: This is what Christians do.
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: You hear it all the time.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: Somehow they'll admit to they'll admit right here that you know, I'm not doing like I should.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: I need to do better.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: Pray for me that I'll do better, pray for me that I'll get stronger, pray that I can resist, pray this, pray that.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: Then they'll condemn the ones out there that's doing something different than what they're doing.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: That's that's simply the soul.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: It can't help it.
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: That's the natural man.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: And it's needy.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: The last man, Adam, he says, you know what?
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: What did he say?
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: I didn't come to condemn, but that you would have life.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: But to give life.
- 24:05SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 24:05SPEAKER_00: Because he's a life giver.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: A life giver gives life.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: A living soul condemns themselves and everybody else.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: He says, I didn't come as a first Adam.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: I didn't come as a as just a just a living soul, because if I did, I'd be condemning too, like everybody else.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: I'd be all wrapped up in the world's thing.
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: I'd be wrapped up in your performance and your needs and your lacks and all your story and all that.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: I'd be so wrapped up in all of that.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: But because he wasn't wrapped up in that, he came as somebody else.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: The last Adam is a life-giving spirit.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: I didn't come to condemn.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: I didn't come in that operation.
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: I came as a life giver.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: I came as a life-giving spirit.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: So, when the temptation is, if you're the Son of God, make these stones into bread.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: You're hungry, Jesus.
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: You need to eat.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: He wasn't operating from a place of being needy and having to get.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: That's why his brain, his mind didn't operate that way.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: He operated as a life giver.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: He said, It's not about me trying to get.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: See, the living soul is always trying to get, the life giver is always giving.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: I'll show you why.
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: As you follow me tonight in this.
- 25:11SPEAKER_00: If you're the Son of God, lust of the flesh, eat Jesus, make bread.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: Lust of the eyes.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: Here's all the kingdoms of the world and all the glory of them.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: Look at it.
- 25:23SPEAKER_00: You can have them all.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: It looks good.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: Pride of life.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: Dive off the temple.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: Angels will catch you in mid-air.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: Everybody will know.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: Yay, Jesus.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: You're the one.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: Pride of life.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: Why didn't he buy it?
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: He said, I'm what?
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: I'm not here to get something.
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: I'm not here because I need something.
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: I didn't come to the earth because I need something.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: I came to the earth to give something.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: To give life.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: And life much more abundantly.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: He came to give us what we didn't eat in the garden.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: So look at this.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: That makes us not surviving forgiven people.
- 26:13SPEAKER_00: That makes us as he is.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: Watch this.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: Go with me to the book of Ezekiel 47.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: As he is, so are we.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: No.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: When you operate from this truth, the identity, this is just who you are.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: This is what Jesus did.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: This is why you got the Spirit.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: People say, I know I got the Holy Spirit.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: I know He's the creator of the universe.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: I know I have all power in me.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: I know nothing's impossible to me.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: But pray for me.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: Then I believe that, Rick.
- 26:58SPEAKER_00: Pray for me.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: Help me to understand that.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: Help me to get there.
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: I'm not there yet.
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: Help me to climb the mountain and climb the ladder so I can get to that place like you are, where I know it and I believe it and I feel it.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: And you can't, it don't work like that because the reason you're feeling like that is because you're all over here in a wrong identity.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: You think that you're like a first Adam still trying to get over there.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: Boy, if you can kill the thought by being filled with truth, Jesus said, knowing that you'll know the truth, and the truth, the truth is going to make you free.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: Let me correct how I just said it.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: I don't want you going out here and saying, Oh, I've got to kill that thought now, because that puts you back over here.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: You having to do something.
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: Sit back and look at something.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: This is all about rest.
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: There's no rest over here.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: Over here, we're working.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: We're working this.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: We've done it.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: We've been doing it ever since the fall of man, the first Adam.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: What's his life?
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: About it.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: He said, Day you eat of it, you'll die.
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: He eats of it.
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: He says, Adam, it's going to be hard now.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: It's going to be hard.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: Thorns and thistles are going to come up.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: Oh, this ground will yield, but it'll be hard.
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: You're going to have to work hard for this.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: And ultimately you die.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: And that's your life.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: And so people that are making it hard.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: We've done, and I'll tell you what's happened is in the church, is we have preached so many messages in the when I say the church, the body of Christ, we have preached so many messages that made us believe that we were still this, trying to still become that.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: As if Jesus never did that for us.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: Jesus did not say, I have come that you might work hard for abundant life.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: He came to give it.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: And he gives it in the power of the Son to give it, to give life to whomever he will.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: Now watch this.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: Ezekiel 47.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: Verse 12.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: Now, if you remember, Ezekiel was seeing a vision of the temple of God.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: And a river was coming out of the threshold, right?
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: Flowing to the east.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: And Ezekiel got out there to the deep of the river and he looked and he said, verse 12, along the bank of the river, along the bank of the river, on this side and that, both sides, will grow all kinds of trees.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: Used for food.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: Trees used for food.
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: Their leaves will not wither, their fruit will not fail, they'll bear fruit every month, because the water flows from the sanctuary.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: The fruit will be for food, their leaves for medicine.
- 29:58SPEAKER_00: What kind of trees are these?
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: What do you think they are?
- 30:01SPEAKER_00: You know that there's doesn't this, this is almost word for word.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: This is almost exactly what we read in another place in the New Testament.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: You know where it is?
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: The very last page of your Bible, Revelation chapter 22, describes this exact same thing.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: In the midst of the street and on both sides of the river.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: There was a tree.
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: Its leaves were for healing.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: Psalms chapter 1 says that we are like trees, like we will be, and of course it's a prophetic thing, we will be, we will be like trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, planted by streams of living water, a tree that's always taken in.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: Now watch this.
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: A tree that was not partaken of came to earth.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: His name is Jesus.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: He gave what he had.
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: This life that he came to give, he imparted it to those who would receive him or take him in.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: Jesus said, the way he said it in John 6, he says, You got to take me in, you got to eat my flesh and drink my blood.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: He was a sentence in essence saying, You've got to take me into you.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: How do we do that?
- 31:14SPEAKER_00: Well, what's the work?
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: How do we do it?
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: He said, believe on the one that he sent.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: So we believed.
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: And we took him into us.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: And we became a new creation.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: And we're and we're working, and it seems like it's like pulling teeth to try to get a Christian to believe I'm not like I was.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: And I think a lot of it's because in the church world we preached things that made them think they were still like they were, and make them think they were still having to work on themselves, make them think that they had to just try harder, that you just need more passion, you just need more zeal, you just need more love for Jesus, you just need more willpower, you just need to quit doing what you're doing, you just need to be a better Christian.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: And all it never directed us toward truth, it directed us toward us, and that's why all it could perpetuate was more lust of the flesh, need, hunger, thirst.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: And we we might direct it towards good things.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: We might direct it towards God and godliness.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: But you can never go get it because it's already been got.
- 32:14SPEAKER_00: You can never climb that mountain because you're already on top.
- 32:17SPEAKER_00: You can never break through into the Holy of Holies because you're already there.
- 32:24SPEAKER_00: But you know, when the children of Israel crossed the Jordan River back in Joshua 6, you know, they had been years eating manna out in the desert.
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: If things hadn't changed, if they don't know things, and things did change, because the manna ceased.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: And the Bible says they ate of the land that they ate of the fruit and the fruit of Canaan that year.
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: But what if they go across that river and they don't know that it's changed?
- 32:51SPEAKER_00: They go over to the promised land.
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: There's milk and honey and all this, you know, grapes as you know, as big as this thing, you know, clusters of grapes as big as this thing.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: And they're looking around for manna.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: Because they don't know.
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: You thought, why would they do something like that?
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: What if somebody kept preaching to them, kept telling them week after week after week that they're a bunch of manna eaters and they've got to go find it and they've got to look for it and they've got to dig for it, and if somebody kept telling them you're not there yet, you can't eat those grapes, you can't eat of that stuff, you can't have that milk in that honey.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: Hmm?
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: When you die, if you're good enough, maybe I'm sure preaching you're quiet.
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: Along the bank of the river are these trees.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: Why is it now?
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: Why is it trees instead of one tree?
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: There was one tree in the garden.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: There was one only begotten son named Jesus.
- 33:51SPEAKER_00: In him was life.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: One son, only begotten Son, one son, one tree in the garden.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: One son, and in him was life, and that life is the light of men.
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: That tree says, that one son, in him who is life, said, I'm going down and die.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: Because if I die, unless I die, I abide alone.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: But if I die, I produce much fruit.
- 34:23SPEAKER_00: And it was the will of God that he bring forth many sons into glory.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: The reason the only begotten Son gave his life was because the Father did not want only one begotten Son.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: He wanted you.
- 34:42unknown: Come on.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: And so now, here we are, sitting on church pews, walking around in our lives and our jobs and all this stuff.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: Trees of righteousness, trees of life, life givers.
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: You know how this affects you in a good way?
- 34:59SPEAKER_00: Because when you're in situations when they're in your face and they're not treating you fair, and they're telling you your mom is ugly and all the stuff that's just, you know, that, instead of you being in soul land, boy, I need to.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: You're aware of something.
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: I'm a life giver.
- 35:17SPEAKER_00: When he was reviled, he reviled not again.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: Consider him who endured such contradiction of sinners against himself.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: You're a blasphemer, you're a sinner, you're demon-possessed, you're crazy, you're a Samaritan, you're all these things.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: But he says, there's one that bears witness of me.
- 35:32SPEAKER_00: His life came exactly from the Father because his life was not dependent on situations, what people thought about him, who was following him, any of these things that soul, living souls depend on, or think that they need is what it is.
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: Jesus said, I got one.
- 35:49SPEAKER_00: You're all gonna leave me tonight, but I won't be alone.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: So I won't be needy.
- 35:57SPEAKER_00: So all those who said he's a he's demon-possessed, he's a sinner, he's a blasphemer, he's a the one who's a life giver says, That's okay.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: I can die for you.
- 36:08SPEAKER_00: I can forgive you, I can love you, I can give you life.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: Because the life giver is not needy.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: Why is the life giver not needy?
- 36:19SPEAKER_00: Because his life, the river of life, comes from the Father.
- 36:26SPEAKER_00: This is so this is so important because this will this is what changes your day-to-day walk.
- 36:31SPEAKER_00: This is what changes your whole existence on earth.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: You wake up every day understanding what you are on this earth and why Jesus said, now you don't have to worry, don't be anxious about anything.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: Your father knows what you need.
- 36:45SPEAKER_00: And in those days, he told us people seek the kingdom.
- 36:47SPEAKER_00: Well, we found it in Jesus.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: And all these things are added.
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: Turn these stones into bread.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: You need to eat, you haven't eaten in 40 days, you're going to starve to death.
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: I don't have to do any of that.
- 36:59SPEAKER_00: And I bet you I won't starve to death.
- 37:01SPEAKER_00: I bet you I'll eat.
- 37:04SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 37:05SPEAKER_00: Because only a living soul can be afraid.
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: Now we have a soul, but we're not only a living soul.
- 37:15SPEAKER_00: We've been given the spirit.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: It's changed us, it's made us a life-giving spirit.
- 37:20SPEAKER_00: Now we can impart.
- 37:22SPEAKER_00: Now, you know, you may be surprised, but this whole world does not love me.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: I know, right?
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: Well, that can either just make me mad.
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: But if you're living in a different way, if you're living in a new and living way, if you're living in true identity, if you're living in, Paul called it walking in the spirit.
- 37:48unknown: Huh?
- 37:48SPEAKER_00: What do you say walking in the spirit was?
- 37:50SPEAKER_00: Just put having your attention on the things of the spirit.
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: I'm a living soul.
- 37:53SPEAKER_00: I'm a life giver.
- 37:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, excuse me, I'm a life-giving spirit, I'm a life giver.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: You know they don't love you, Rick.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: What do you do?
- 38:01SPEAKER_00: I can love them.
- 38:02SPEAKER_00: I can encourage them.
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: I can give, I can, you know.
- 38:05SPEAKER_00: And you, but you, but you find that hard unless you know what we're talking about here.
- 38:10SPEAKER_00: And it's not, you don't have, and this is not mystical and high and deep and spiritual.
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: This is basic truth.
- 38:16SPEAKER_00: Jesus did this, made us as we are, made us a new creation, and we are not as we once were.
- 38:21SPEAKER_00: We are not like Adam.
- 38:24SPEAKER_00: But you can believe a lie, right?
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: He said, No, the truth.
- 38:28SPEAKER_00: That's why he said, the spirit of truth will come.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: His spirit of truth will come, and he'll lead you into truth.
- 38:34SPEAKER_00: You're gonna find out by the spirit I put in you that you really are not that.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: That you are this.
- 38:42SPEAKER_00: And that truth will make you free.
- 38:43SPEAKER_00: Free to what?
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: Free to give.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: Freely you've received, freely you give.
- 38:47SPEAKER_01: Hmm?
- 38:51SPEAKER_00: Jesus wasn't all wrapped up and afraid about his earthly walk and condition, thinking that he was literally going to starve to death out there.
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: I don't just live by that.
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: I'm not just a living soul that just lives on sensual things.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: The temptation of the eyes.
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: I'm not just a living soul that makes me go, ooh, and that'll make me somebody.
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: And that'll make me happier, and that'll make me.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: What he did gave us everything that fulfills us.
- 39:27SPEAKER_00: And over there we're working and we're working and we're trying.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: And he says, Come to me, you that have been working hard, Adam, you've been living by the sweat of your brow.
- 39:36SPEAKER_00: You've been trying real hard, but you keep getting thorns and thistles.
- 39:40SPEAKER_00: Come to me, all you that labor.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: You've been working hard, you're heavy laden.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: Come, I'll give you rest.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: And when you're at rest with this, when you're in this place of rest, see, you're a life-giver.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: And the things of this world, the tribulation of this world, they don't affect a life-giving spirit the same way they affect an Adam person, a living soul.
- 40:05SPEAKER_00: And we're so different.
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: And creation is an anticipation, looking for the manifestation of what?
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: The sons of God.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: Notice Jesus is called the only begotten Son, but after he does his work and ascends to the Father and gives us the Spirit, now it talks about sons.
- 40:24SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 40:28SPEAKER_00: And if you Holy Spirit, I thank you for your work tonight.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Because whoever can see something, I mean, all you gotta do is catch a glimpse of this.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: All you gotta do is just hear a boom, just a reality in this, and understand that this is who you are.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: It'll change how you react and respond to everything.
- 40:43SPEAKER_00: Jesus said, in this world there's trouble, there's tribulation, but be of good cheer.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: I've overcome that.
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: How did he overcome it?
- 40:49SPEAKER_00: By getting rid of all the trouble in the world?
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: No, by making you a life-giving spirit.
- 40:55SPEAKER_00: By raising you up far above all those things that soul man is all worried about.
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: He made you sit with him in this place.
- 41:07SPEAKER_00: I'm a life giver.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: You're going down, Rick.
- 41:13SPEAKER_00: I'm going down the tubes.
- 41:15SPEAKER_00: What are you gonna do?
- 41:16SPEAKER_00: I'm just gonna sing and give life the whole way down, if that's what's happening.
- 41:22SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 41:24SPEAKER_00: Shoot, I'm gonna live forever.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: I've outlasted everything so far.
- 41:29SPEAKER_00: And even if I put my body down, I'll still outlast that, even, right?
- 41:35SPEAKER_00: Their leaves don't wither.
- 41:36SPEAKER_00: Why do not leave their leaves do not wither?
- 41:38SPEAKER_00: Because they're drinking from life.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: They're taking in life.
- 41:41SPEAKER_00: And so they're not hungry and thirsty.
- 41:43SPEAKER_00: They're full.
- 41:44SPEAKER_00: The water is coming to the tree from the sanctuary.
- 41:47SPEAKER_00: They're always drinking.
- 41:48SPEAKER_00: They don't have any dry spells.
- 41:50SPEAKER_00: Even if it doesn't rain, they don't have any dry spells because the river comes from God.
- 41:54SPEAKER_00: That's why I talked so much about it in that first book I wrote about revivals and stuff and how the church got so excited, it was so much into revival, because, oh Lord, give us a rain of refreshing.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: Give us a gully washing outpouring from heaven.
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: And why do they want that?
- 42:15SPEAKER_00: Because our hearts are dry and thirsty.
- 42:20SPEAKER_00: Send the rain, Lord, send the rain.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: Why do they talk like that?
- 42:24SPEAKER_00: Why do we want that?
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: Why do we think we need something like that?
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: Because they don't know the truth.
- 42:29SPEAKER_00: They're actually, they've actually got the life-giving spirit feeding them.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: And because they've have received, are receiving, they have to give.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: Freely you've received.
- 42:44SPEAKER_00: Not working hard for this.
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: Soul Man does that.
- 42:47SPEAKER_00: Are y'all seeing any of this?
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: And he says this, he says, they bear fruit 12 months out of the year.
- 42:55SPEAKER_00: Just all the time.
- 42:57SPEAKER_00: What's the fruit of that spirit?
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: It's love.
- 43:01SPEAKER_00: It's joy.
- 43:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but February wasn't very joyful.
- 43:05SPEAKER_00: Who cares?
- 43:07SPEAKER_00: It's coming from someplace else.
- 43:09SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 43:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, this is basic if you look at it.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: But the thing I wanted to bring tonight, the thing I wanted you to see is your identity in this.
- 43:16SPEAKER_00: That this is why you're on this earth.
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: This is why God saved you, right?
- 43:22SPEAKER_00: And then left you on a filthy planet.
- 43:25SPEAKER_00: It's really not, it's beautiful, but there's a lot of ugliness in it.
- 43:28SPEAKER_00: We know that.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: He left you here.
- 43:33SPEAKER_00: Salt of the earth.
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: Light of the world.
- 43:36SPEAKER_00: Lights.
- 43:36SPEAKER_00: He says, lights in a dark place.
- 43:39SPEAKER_00: That which creation is groaning for.
- 43:42SPEAKER_00: Why is creation waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God?
- 43:47SPEAKER_00: The manifestation.
- 43:48SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 43:49SPEAKER_00: Because the sons of God are life givers.
- 43:53SPEAKER_00: When we don't know that, we live on such a low.
- 43:56SPEAKER_00: We can be a Christian that loves Jesus.
- 43:59unknown: But we
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: We operate as an atom, you know what we're doing?
- 44:01SPEAKER_00: We're getting over here, and we're instead of being life giving, we're trying to work it every other way.
- 44:06SPEAKER_00: I'm telling you, it's just it's these, it's these, it's these, them Republicans.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: I'm telling you, they're taking all the money and leaving us poor.
- 44:13SPEAKER_00: It's them, them left wingers, they're doing all this, that and your soul is all involved in that kind of stuff.
- 44:21SPEAKER_00: It's all about what people are doing to me, who's hurt me, and how, and and and and brother Rick helped me to get over that stuff.
- 44:27SPEAKER_00: And we pray and you have sympathy because I know this life can be hard.
- 44:30SPEAKER_00: We all do.
- 44:30SPEAKER_00: We've all been hurt by it, we've all been burdened with it so much, sometimes more than others.
- 44:47SPEAKER_00: But the world didn't affect Jesus the way it affected Adam.
- 44:53SPEAKER_00: And in this new creation, all you gotta do is see this.
- 44:58SPEAKER_00: Let me say it a better way.
- 44:59SPEAKER_00: The one thing that it has always taken with Christ has always been, just believe it.
- 45:05SPEAKER_00: Just believe it.
- 45:08SPEAKER_00: I get questions all the time.
- 45:09SPEAKER_00: What work must I do?
- 45:11SPEAKER_00: What do I have to do?
- 45:13SPEAKER_00: How do you do this?
- 45:14SPEAKER_00: How do you make this real, Brother Rick?
- 45:17SPEAKER_00: How do you get to where you actually know it?
- 45:19SPEAKER_00: You actually believe it.
- 45:20SPEAKER_00: How do you get to where it's all that and and and and see the problem is they're usually talking from this place over here?
- 45:29SPEAKER_00: Trying to turn their living soul into something more spiritual.
- 45:34SPEAKER_00: But the problem is, is because they're the it you know, Paul called it walking in the flesh in Romans.
- 45:39SPEAKER_00: He says they've got their mind on the things of the flesh.
- 45:43SPEAKER_00: And saying, I don't know it.
- 45:45SPEAKER_00: I'm too weak.
- 45:45SPEAKER_00: I'm not, my faith is not there.
- 45:46SPEAKER_00: I'm not, how do I get more?
- 45:48SPEAKER_00: How do I get?
- 45:48SPEAKER_00: How do I get?
- 45:49SPEAKER_00: How do I get?
- 45:49SPEAKER_00: How do I get?
- 45:50SPEAKER_00: And the living, the life-giving spirit is always, how do I give?
- 45:55SPEAKER_00: How do I give?
- 45:57SPEAKER_00: What about all the trouble?
- 45:58SPEAKER_00: Why is creation waiting?
- 45:59SPEAKER_00: Because I'm because I'm going to tell you, because it's you are the answer for this world.
- 46:04SPEAKER_00: Those who have the that your fruit, what's it for?
- 46:07SPEAKER_00: It's for food.
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: It's to feed, it's to help, it's to it's to bless.
- 46:13SPEAKER_00: What are your leaves for?
- 46:14SPEAKER_00: For healing.
- 46:15SPEAKER_00: Don't we think this world needs healing?
- 46:18SPEAKER_00: Or do we think that we just they just that we just need to conquer them all and put them all under feet?
- 46:23SPEAKER_00: This world needs healing.
- 46:27SPEAKER_00: Living souls want to kill them all.
- 46:30SPEAKER_00: Living souls are doing, want something that's going to make it better for them.
- 46:35SPEAKER_00: Life-giving spirits don't need anything better for them.
- 46:38SPEAKER_00: We already got better for us.
- 46:41SPEAKER_00: You're in heavenly places.
- 46:42SPEAKER_00: You're enjoying Jesus.
- 46:44SPEAKER_00: You're being filled and flooded with life, the love of God.
- 46:46SPEAKER_00: It's just all in you.
- 46:48SPEAKER_00: It's overflowing because you're in this, you're you're your mind is on the things of the Spirit.
- 46:52SPEAKER_00: What happens when your mind is on the things of the Spirit?
- 46:55SPEAKER_00: You ever do that?
- 46:55SPEAKER_00: You ever put you put your mind in the Spirit and say, Holy Spirit, what do you say?
- 46:59SPEAKER_00: Does the Holy Spirit, whenever you've heard the Holy Spirit, does he ever tell you, oh yeah, this is really, this is a bad one here.
- 47:07SPEAKER_00: You're just not gonna make it on this one.
- 47:10SPEAKER_00: What tells you that?
- 47:11SPEAKER_00: The knowledge of good and evil with your soul telling you that.
- 47:14SPEAKER_00: But if the Holy Spirit talks, what's he always saying?
- 47:16SPEAKER_00: He always tells you stuff that pertains to life.
- 47:19SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 47:20SPEAKER_00: He always tells you, you're gonna be fine.
- 47:22SPEAKER_00: And you are.
- 47:24SPEAKER_00: He always tells you, I got this.
- 47:26SPEAKER_00: He always tells you, my grace is sufficient.
- 47:28SPEAKER_00: You've got everything you need.
- 47:31SPEAKER_00: I'm with you.
- 47:33SPEAKER_00: Peace.
- 47:35SPEAKER_00: Be still, right?
- 47:36SPEAKER_00: It's all good stuff, all the life stuff, things that pertain to life.
- 47:41SPEAKER_00: And so putting your mind on the spirit is really believing this.
- 47:48SPEAKER_00: And we're changing.
- 47:49SPEAKER_00: We're getting, this is getting more real to us all the time, more and more.
- 47:55SPEAKER_00: I'm not thinking I'm that wounded soul that needs help, needs fixed.
- 47:58SPEAKER_00: I'm thinking I got filled and I've got something to give.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: I feel like I got something to give to a world.
- 48:02SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 48:03SPEAKER_00: And I'm just a weak, stupid, foolish vessel.
- 48:05SPEAKER_00: I know that.
- 48:07SPEAKER_00: But there's such a life, there's such a love that I've received.
- 48:11SPEAKER_00: And this love has filled me up and it has changed everything about how I walk in this life and how I deal with situations, how I deal with people, and it's brought such peace.
- 48:21SPEAKER_00: And it's like, how did this happen?
- 48:24SPEAKER_00: It came from someone.
- 48:29SPEAKER_00: And what happens when I walk into situations?
- 48:31SPEAKER_00: When you walk into a situation, because of what you have received, you can all you've always got peace to bring to a situation, not more turmoil.
- 48:40SPEAKER_00: See what living souls do?
- 48:41SPEAKER_00: Look at this world around us.
- 48:44SPEAKER_00: What's going on?
- 48:45SPEAKER_00: More and more troubles just being stirred up all the time.
- 48:47SPEAKER_00: Creation is groaning, creation is looking in anticipation.
- 48:53SPEAKER_00: While we're over here praying that there'd be peace on earth, Jesus said, There is peace on earth.
- 48:59SPEAKER_00: I left it here.
- 49:01SPEAKER_00: My peace I leave with you.
- 49:05SPEAKER_00: Well, what's the problem?
- 49:06SPEAKER_00: We don't believe it.
- 49:07SPEAKER_00: We believe that.
- 49:11SPEAKER_00: Or we used to before tonight.
- 49:14SPEAKER_00: Y'all hear anything?
- 49:16SPEAKER_00: Where did our life come from?
- 49:17SPEAKER_00: Our life came from him at the river.
- 49:24SPEAKER_00: The living soul is dependent upon outward things changing to make it better, to make it happy.
- 49:35SPEAKER_00: The living soul can have peace if the storms of life cease.
- 49:42SPEAKER_00: The life-giving spirit can give peace in the middle of a storm.
- 49:49SPEAKER_00: Isn't this wonderful?
- 49:50SPEAKER_00: Isn't it wonderful what Jesus did?
- 49:54SPEAKER_00: Can you see how all of your situations automatically become dealt with differently?
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: Perception is different.
- 50:07SPEAKER_00: You cannot help but have peaceful enjoy.
- 50:10SPEAKER_00: Sometimes people ask me, how can you have peace in this situation?
- 50:13SPEAKER_00: I'm like, it's it goes beyond my idea too, but it's there.
- 50:21SPEAKER_00: So what do I do when there's a storm situation?
- 50:24SPEAKER_00: People go, what comes out of our mouth?
- 50:26SPEAKER_00: What do we do?
- 50:27SPEAKER_00: Because of who we are, what happens?
- 50:29SPEAKER_00: We always minister peace, don't we?
- 50:33SPEAKER_00: What happens when people are fighting each other?
- 50:35SPEAKER_00: What comes out of us?
- 50:35SPEAKER_00: What comes out of our mouths?
- 50:37SPEAKER_00: What emanates from?
- 50:38SPEAKER_00: We always minister love to them, for them, and for each other.
- 50:45SPEAKER_00: What happens when the situations of life have got people's souls all racked and they're not at rest and they're not happy because they're not in a happy situation right now?
- 50:56SPEAKER_00: We do what creation's been longing for.
- 50:58SPEAKER_00: We give life, we give the fruit, which is the fruit for it, we give them joy.
- 51:02SPEAKER_00: We speak joy to them.
- 51:04SPEAKER_00: We minister joy.
- 51:08SPEAKER_00: You see this.
- 51:09SPEAKER_00: It's not, you're not trying to be something, you're not trying to be a minister of life, you're not trying to be a healer.
- 51:14SPEAKER_00: You've become one.
- 51:16SPEAKER_00: And if you know it, as a man thinks, so is he.
- 51:20SPEAKER_00: You just start acting like it.
- 51:21SPEAKER_00: When I look at this, I think, when did this happen?
- 51:23SPEAKER_00: There was not a day that everything changed, and I'm still changing like all of us are.
- 51:26SPEAKER_00: But I look back and I think, how did I go from thinking like that?
- 51:31SPEAKER_00: Even as a Christian that loved Jesus and was struggling in my soul to this right here.
- 51:37SPEAKER_00: How did I, how did I, my perception changed?
- 51:39SPEAKER_00: How did the peace just overtake me?
- 51:41SPEAKER_00: How did the joy overtake me?
- 51:42SPEAKER_00: How did the faith just overtake me?
- 51:45SPEAKER_00: Ask people that get around me.
- 51:48SPEAKER_00: He just always believes.
- 51:51SPEAKER_00: Without trying to faith it up.
- 51:53SPEAKER_00: This guy does that.
- 51:56SPEAKER_00: What do you do?
- 51:57SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to believe.
- 51:59SPEAKER_00: What are you doing, life giver?
- 52:01SPEAKER_00: I believe.
- 52:05SPEAKER_00: It's a simple matter of truth identity, believing that Jesus did what he came to do, believing he succeeded.
- 52:13SPEAKER_00: When he came to make a new creation, he succeeded.
- 52:16SPEAKER_00: When he came to give you a superabundant life, he succeeded.
- 52:19SPEAKER_00: You're not trying to get it.
- 52:22SPEAKER_00: You want to know how easy it is?
- 52:24SPEAKER_00: He says, Come to me.
- 52:25SPEAKER_00: I'll give you rest.
- 52:25SPEAKER_00: You've been working for this.
- 52:27SPEAKER_00: You don't have to work for it.
- 52:28SPEAKER_00: Come to me.
- 52:28SPEAKER_00: You've been working hard, heavy laden.
- 52:30SPEAKER_00: Come to me.
- 52:31SPEAKER_00: Learn about me.
- 52:32SPEAKER_00: I'll give you rest.
- 52:33SPEAKER_00: You'll find rest for your soul.
- 52:35SPEAKER_00: Just learn about me.
- 52:35SPEAKER_00: I did this.
- 52:37SPEAKER_00: Hmm?
- 52:39SPEAKER_00: Why are you at rest?
- 52:40SPEAKER_00: You've already got life.
- 52:44SPEAKER_00: Now what do we do?
- 52:46SPEAKER_00: Well, we got so much life.
- 52:47SPEAKER_00: We just got so much faith.
- 52:48SPEAKER_00: We got so much love.
- 52:50SPEAKER_00: We got so much healing.
- 52:51SPEAKER_00: We got so much everything.
- 52:53SPEAKER_00: It just.
- 52:55SPEAKER_00: This is what we do.
- 52:57SPEAKER_00: And we don't have to be weird about it.
- 52:59SPEAKER_00: Don't have to be religious about it.
- 53:01SPEAKER_00: Don't have to even be showy about it, do we?
- 53:03SPEAKER_00: It's just kind of who we are, is what we do.
- 53:08SPEAKER_00: Jesus is the tree of life.
- 53:11SPEAKER_00: The unveiling of Jesus, which is the revelation of Jesus, very last chapter of the book.
- 53:18SPEAKER_00: Because Paul said in Romans, creation is looking in anticipation for the revealing, manifestation, revealing of the sons of God.
- 53:32SPEAKER_00: And in the book of revealing, revelation, that means the revealing of Jesus Christ.
- 53:42SPEAKER_00: What do we see?
- 53:43SPEAKER_00: We see not a tree, we see trees.
- 53:47SPEAKER_00: We see healers.
- 53:49SPEAKER_00: We see feeders of the world.
- 53:52SPEAKER_00: Of the good things, the things that pertain to life.
- 53:54SPEAKER_00: We see healers in the world.
- 54:02SPEAKER_00: Or medicine.
- 54:06SPEAKER_00: Would y'all stand up?
- 54:08SPEAKER_00: How y'all doing?
- 54:13SPEAKER_00: You doing all right.
- 54:26SPEAKER_00: Their leaves do not wither.
- 54:32SPEAKER_00: All things are hard now, Rick.
- 54:35SPEAKER_00: Why is it that our leaves do not wither?
- 54:40SPEAKER_00: People have told me that they think I'm in denial.
- 54:44SPEAKER_00: They think I'm oblivious to reality.
- 54:48SPEAKER_00: Because I don't live in little Adam land here as much as I used to.
- 54:54SPEAKER_00: Maybe there's a reality that's eternal.
- 54:57SPEAKER_00: Maybe there's a reality that's always going to be true for you.
- 55:02SPEAKER_00: If you're here and you're not believing it, I can tell you it's true.
- 55:04SPEAKER_00: And when you do believe it, it's still going to be true.
- 55:07SPEAKER_00: And if you lay your body down, it'll still be true.
- 55:09SPEAKER_00: And throughout all of eternity, it's still going to be true.
- 55:13SPEAKER_00: You'll always be who you are because you have become one with eternal life now.
- 55:22SPEAKER_00: The leaves will not wither, the fruit will not fail.
- 55:25SPEAKER_00: What's that mean?
- 55:26SPEAKER_00: The fruit of the Spirit, the love, joy, peace, the patience, the faith, the kindness, the gentleness, and all that, it stays there.
- 55:40SPEAKER_00: And that fruit that we have, that he gave us, that life that he gave us, that produced this joy, this peace, this love, is the food for the world around us.
- 55:57SPEAKER_00: Well, if they just bomb all the all the Arabs, I'll tell you that'll finally do it.
- 56:02SPEAKER_00: This is the medicine.
- 56:04SPEAKER_00: This is the healing.
- 56:08SPEAKER_00: And finally, remember these things.
- 56:12SPEAKER_00: And remember that it's as simple as this.
- 56:14SPEAKER_00: In all times, in all situations, we elevate reality, the spiritual man.
- 56:22SPEAKER_00: And not we don't elevate the soul man.
- 56:29SPEAKER_00: Someone says, so is one bad, one's good?
- 56:32SPEAKER_00: No, the soul is not inherently bad.
- 56:34SPEAKER_00: The soul is very important for operating in this natural world.
- 56:39SPEAKER_00: But the soul is not a good leader by itself.
- 56:44SPEAKER_00: The soul works very good when it submits to truth.
- 56:48SPEAKER_00: And lets the spirit be the leader of your life.
- 56:52SPEAKER_00: Father, I thank you for your goodness, and I thank you for these people, and that we have the opportunity here to see something.
- 57:00SPEAKER_00: That you have purposed, that people such as this would know certain things, that people would become the source of life in a dynamic and real and wonderful, wonderful Jesus way, life-giving way.
- 57:17SPEAKER_00: Living, moving, breathing, walking, talking, Word of God in this world, giving food and healing of the Spirit.
- 57:33SPEAKER_00: You have forgiven all their iniquities, you've healed all their diseases, you've crowned their life with goodness, loving kindness, and tender mercy.
- 57:42SPEAKER_00: You have renewed their strength now like the eagles, for you've filled their mouth with good things.
- 57:51SPEAKER_00: And I thank you, Father, for your love for everyone here.
- 57:54SPEAKER_00: I thank you for your kindness in so great a salvation.
- 57:57SPEAKER_00: And we stand in awe of you tonight with hearts rejoicing in the name of our Lord, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
- 58:04SPEAKER_00: We thank you for ever and ever grateful.
- 58:07SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 58:09SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 58:10SPEAKER_00: Thank you for your time.
- 58:11SPEAKER_00: Have a good night.
- 58:16SPEAKER_01: Hey, hey, hey, hey.
