- 0:16Speaker 2: Business is apparently booming for people who write cvs for
- 0:20Speaker 2: job c because it basically comes down to AIAI is
- 0:22Speaker 2: mucking with us, It's confusing us. Sarah writes, and is
- 0:25Speaker 2: the director of CV writing company CVS by Sarah, and
- 0:28Speaker 2: is with us. Hi, Sarah, Hi? So am I basically
- 0:32Speaker 2: right in thinking that what's happened is previously we were
- 0:34Speaker 2: writing cvs for humans. We kind of knew what they wanted,
- 0:38Speaker 2: so we'd have a reasonable success rate. But now we're
- 0:40Speaker 2: writing cvs that AI going to screen and we have
- 0:42Speaker 2: no bloody idea what they want, so we need you. Yeah.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, look what I'm saying now is people can
- 0:50Speaker 3: get rolled out before human even reads their CV. Now.
- 0:53Speaker 3: So a lot of companies are using screening software that
- 0:56Speaker 3: scans for keywords job titles formatting. But the frustrating part
- 1:00Speaker 3: is that genuinely capable people can get filtered out for
- 1:03Speaker 3: technical reasons, not because they can't do the job. I've
- 1:06Speaker 3: had clients come to me saying that they've applied for
- 1:08Speaker 3: eighty jobs and heard nothing back and often they've actually
- 1:11Speaker 3: got really solid experience, So the software is looking for
- 1:15Speaker 3: alignment and clarity. Humans read context. Software doesn't. And at
- 1:20Speaker 3: the same time, employers are also overwhelmed too because they
- 1:23Speaker 3: are getting flooded with AI generated applications. So I've ended
- 1:27Speaker 3: up in this really weird situation where you know, job
- 1:30Speaker 3: seekers feel invisible and employers feel buried. That's probably the
- 1:34Speaker 3: biggest ship that I've seen with AI software and applications.
- 1:37Speaker 2: So you've obviously cracked the code. So are we going
- 1:40Speaker 2: to get if we if we come, if we come
- 1:42Speaker 2: to you and you write our cvs, we're you going
- 1:45Speaker 2: to have more success and if we diy it.
- 1:49Speaker 3: I think a lot of people come to me because
- 1:51Speaker 3: they are overwhelmed by the process and it's it's very
- 1:55Speaker 3: hard out there. At the moment, I'm telling candidates that,
- 1:59Speaker 3: you know, it's it's very competitive, and you really have
- 2:01Speaker 3: to align your CV and your cover letter with the
- 2:05Speaker 3: job ad so using all those keywords and naturally highlighting
- 2:10Speaker 3: your skills and experience. I think the biggest problem with
- 2:13Speaker 3: kiwis is they don't know how to sell themselves. And
- 2:16Speaker 3: you know, we really do want to get those interviews,
- 2:18Speaker 3: so and I also think confidence gets knocked after so
- 2:22Speaker 3: many applications and you're getting ghosted or not getting the
- 2:25Speaker 3: results that you're wanting. It can be really damaging to
- 2:28Speaker 3: your confidence.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it is a tough ale thing trying to look
- 2:30Speaker 2: for a job. Hey, thank you very much, Sarah. Look
- 2:32Speaker 2: after Yourself Sarah writes and director of CVS by Sarah.
