- 0:11Speaker 2: The World's of Vigeonal podcast.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Welcome to Patriots Unfiltered.
- 0:21Speaker 4: They're picking in the bottom fourteen somewhere, so they picking
- 0:23Speaker 4: the second half of the round. That that's what we're
- 0:25Speaker 4: talking about. Nine and eight. You said that was the
- 0:27Speaker 4: biggest difference for the Detroit or that's what I mean.
- 0:30Speaker 4: Eight does get you in the top handers? Who picked
- 0:33Speaker 4: what twenty eighth, twenty ninth in the first round.
- 0:35Speaker 5: You can't just draft at the bottom of the first
- 0:37Speaker 5: round and expect to find the pillars of your organization
- 0:41Speaker 5: down there. That's not how going to happen. Like I
- 0:43Speaker 5: look at this stuff every single year, like for six months.
- 0:46Speaker 5: You're not going to just find, you know, Penny sewel
- 0:49Speaker 5: at thirty two overall, Like, that's not going to happen.
- 0:52Speaker 4: We have just did a Belichick and you're leaving fourth
- 0:56Speaker 4: and one.
- 1:00Speaker 3: He's gonna walk to the press coverage is mumbling to himself, muttering.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Justin writes in Evan's gonna go home tonight, walk in
- 1:14Speaker 3: with his arms crossed and comically PLoP on his couch
- 1:17Speaker 3: at frustration. Jess is gonna ask him bad day at work,
- 1:20Speaker 3: and Evan's gonna mutter pull doesn't no ball? It makes
- 1:23Speaker 3: me mad, doesn't He doesn't respect the draft.
- 1:26Speaker 6: I don't think that.
- 1:26Speaker 4: I don't.
- 1:27Speaker 3: That's fat.
- 1:28Speaker 4: This is Patriots Unfiltered.

- 1:36Speaker 3: All right, welcome the Patriots Unfiltered. It is Thursday here
- 1:40Speaker 3: at Jillette Stadium, and uh, it's always a big day
- 1:43Speaker 3: for us. It's Evan, it's Paul, me, Deuce, Alex on
- 1:47Speaker 3: the panel, Matt in the booth, and we're talking Cleveland Browns.
- 1:54Speaker 3: I think we talked extensively about them yesterday. Uh you know, Uh,
- 2:00Speaker 3: we'll continue talking about them today. Evan's back you okay, No, no,
- 2:07Speaker 3: we had a lot of reaction to that.
- 2:09Speaker 5: I'm sure you do. When I wasn't here to defend
- 2:11Speaker 5: my honor, merged your honor?
- 2:14Speaker 3: Oh yeah, were killing you? You know because after the
- 2:17Speaker 3: live shooting, people watch, understand, and so we get a
- 2:20Speaker 3: lot of reactions show and a lot of emails wondering
- 2:24Speaker 3: about your wellness.
- 2:25Speaker 5: Well I did. That's my job is to incite what feedback.
- 2:32Speaker 3: So it was all a work.
- 2:34Speaker 5: No, it wasn't a work, okay, but you know, like
- 2:37Speaker 5: if good radio means that we we got people listening,
- 2:40Speaker 5: we got people reacted.
- 2:42Speaker 3: It's great.
- 2:42Speaker 7: This is why Christian La adds a lot to the
- 2:44Speaker 7: show for all the people.
- 2:45Speaker 3: That I wouldn't say that he started it.
- 2:48Speaker 8: No, but that email that was just read in the
- 2:50Speaker 8: intro about Evan going home like to Jess later that
- 2:53Speaker 8: night is funny because I was in the Verable press
- 2:55Speaker 8: conference and listening into the show and Evan sat down
- 2:58Speaker 8: next to me.
- 2:58Speaker 7: And that's kind of how the conversation.
- 3:02Speaker 1: We just are good.
- 3:05Speaker 5: We just are gonna draft at the bottom of the
- 3:07Speaker 5: draft every year, and we're going to find star players somehow.
- 3:13Speaker 5: With Tom Brady already here.
- 3:14Speaker 4: I say, I will absolutely sign up to be drafting
- 3:17Speaker 4: at the bottom of the round every year. I will
- 3:18Speaker 4: sign up for that now for the next ten years.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Right means correct, I will take down How do you
- 3:24Speaker 4: get good?
- 3:25Speaker 1: You already are if you're drafting to come out of.
- 3:28Speaker 3: The All right, never mind.
- 3:31Speaker 4: The underrated thing is this was more fred Evan Paul.
- 3:36Speaker 5: Who would you rather be for the next five years?
- 3:39Speaker 5: The Patriots are the Commanders right now the Patriots enough said.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Just because, well what is that?
- 3:47Speaker 4: I think it's very similar.
- 3:48Speaker 3: They both drafted at the top, so they both like they.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Hit on the quarterback. So now it's like, what do
- 3:52Speaker 4: you do? What do you do now?
- 3:53Speaker 5: In the Patriots then again drafted at the top. Again,
- 3:57Speaker 5: the Commanders went to the NFC Championship game on fools old,
- 4:00Speaker 5: and now the Patriots have Will Campbell on their roster
- 4:04Speaker 5: as a result. This is all I was saying. I
- 4:06Speaker 5: want to build a sustainable winner. I don't want to
- 4:08Speaker 5: be a flash in the pan, like you want to
- 4:10Speaker 5: go hang an NFC Championship runner up?
- 4:12Speaker 3: So how long and watch it? How long? How long?
- 4:18Speaker 3: How long do you have to be have a losing
- 4:21Speaker 3: record in your in your mind.
- 4:23Speaker 5: The Patriots did it? They long they are need to
- 4:25Speaker 5: be a loser. I don't know, two three years and
- 4:29Speaker 5: then what keep drafting and draft?
- 4:31Speaker 3: Well, right, but after those two or three years, what happens?
- 4:34Speaker 5: You have a sustained foundation that you can build up.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Okay, so you can build that foundation in two or
- 4:39Speaker 3: three years.
- 4:40Speaker 5: I think so. I mean, I don't know if the
- 4:42Speaker 5: Patriots did it on purpose. I'm trying to give the
- 4:43Speaker 5: Patriots credit. Like I'm trying to say they did it right,
- 4:47Speaker 5: and I don't know if they did it right on purpose.
- 4:49Speaker 3: They weren't trying to lose. A lot of people wish
- 4:55Speaker 3: they were two years ago, two years ago. Last year,
- 4:58Speaker 3: I should.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Say with you, friend, I don't don't think they lost
- 5:01Speaker 4: on purpose.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Like I don't think they lost on purpose. I don't
- 5:04Speaker 5: think any organization from the coach down, truly.
- 5:07Speaker 3: I don't want to be I don't want to like
- 5:09Speaker 3: snob you, but you don't sound like someone who played
- 5:14Speaker 3: really competitive sports. What does that have to do with anything,
- 5:19Speaker 3: because I just these guys don't want to lose.
- 5:22Speaker 5: I just said from the coach down, they didn't tank, Fred,
- 5:25Speaker 5: What do you mean, I didn't play what level of sports?
- 5:28Speaker 4: Did you play?
- 5:30Speaker 3: A very high level?
- 5:31Speaker 4: All individual sports?
- 5:32Speaker 9: Though?
- 5:33Speaker 3: Exactly?
- 5:34Speaker 5: Jesus, I know they didn't tank last year. I don't
- 5:38Speaker 5: think that the Patriots and Drake May went out there
- 5:41Speaker 5: and purposely tried to lose every single week. But the
- 5:43Speaker 5: way that they ran their organization last year from a
- 5:47Speaker 5: personnel standpoint, they barely spent any money on external free.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Agent that has nothing.
- 5:52Speaker 5: That's what do you mean?
- 5:53Speaker 3: That's a whole difference.
- 5:54Speaker 5: So do you think that that roster last year was
- 5:56Speaker 5: built to win?
- 5:57Speaker 3: Listen. Reportedly, Stephen Ross asked his coach Brian Flores the tank,
- 6:02Speaker 3: and Brian Flores refused.
- 6:03Speaker 5: We're not talking about that. We're not saying No one's
- 6:06Speaker 5: saying that they purposely went out there to try to
- 6:09Speaker 5: lose games. We're talking it, clearly.
- 6:12Speaker 3: But teams purposely go out there and try to win.
- 6:15Speaker 5: Obviously. Yeah, but you build a team and you know
- 6:19Speaker 5: whether or not that team is built up enough to act.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Basically, you're saying, you try to win, but you hope
- 6:24Speaker 3: you'll lose.
- 6:25Speaker 5: I'm saying that I think that they might have quiet
- 6:28Speaker 5: tanked it. That's what I'm saying.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Listen. Okay, well I don't think that. Yeah, well, we'll
- 6:33Speaker 3: let that one's off. We'll let that one go in.
- 6:36Speaker 3: You live in April. I'll live from September to December.
- 6:39Speaker 10: Oh.
- 6:39Speaker 4: I think there was a little of that that went
- 6:40Speaker 4: on in twenty twenty. I think they had an intentional
- 6:43Speaker 4: reset after Brady left, and yeah, I think they were
- 6:47Speaker 4: content to, you know, just play it out.
- 6:49Speaker 3: But that's yeah.
- 6:51Speaker 4: But I don't think that they did that last year.
- 6:53Speaker 4: I think Girodmeo came in with the intention of, you know,
- 6:57Speaker 4: starting a rebuild the program, and they were doing it
- 6:59Speaker 4: in a win more game. He thought he was going
- 7:01Speaker 4: to get more times now coach of the team, right,
- 7:03Speaker 4: But I don't I don't think that they set the
- 7:05Speaker 4: roster up to lose.
- 7:07Speaker 5: You don't think that that roster was set up to lose.
- 7:09Speaker 4: I don't think it was a good roster. I don't
- 7:10Speaker 4: think it was an intentional That's a big difference. I
- 7:13Speaker 4: think Jayalen Pope was supposed to be a good player.
- 7:16Speaker 5: Well, I guess we can sit there and say that
- 7:18Speaker 5: it wasn't fully intentional, and we can take like we
- 7:21Speaker 5: can say that, but I did sit here and say
- 7:23Speaker 5: that they thought that they were going to win games
- 7:25Speaker 5: at that roster last year. I think it is kind
- 7:27Speaker 5: of crazy.
- 7:27Speaker 3: But I don't think that I think they knew what
- 7:30Speaker 3: their They knew their intention was, but I don't think
- 7:32Speaker 3: I think they wanted to win.
- 7:34Speaker 4: And they knew they weren't a title contender or anything.
- 7:36Speaker 4: But I don't think that they intended to win four games. Yeah,
- 7:39Speaker 4: I don't think they could.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Get into this right like this right away. Well, I
- 7:42Speaker 3: didn't play because you're looking a little uncomfortable.
- 7:45Speaker 11: I'm a little uncomfortable yelling. It's loud noises and I don't.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Like my brothers are fighting, and I'm well, how is it?
- 7:53Speaker 11: I mean my feeling is that as four people yell
- 7:55Speaker 11: on each other too much, I feel like two on
- 7:57Speaker 11: one is enough and we can sit back and enjo.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Okay, as you know what I mean. What's your take
- 8:02Speaker 3: on this?
- 8:02Speaker 11: Yeah, dude, give us your time with you guys, but
- 8:04Speaker 11: I don't want to go up you can.
- 8:06Speaker 5: Get because I think you guys are moving the goalposts
- 8:09Speaker 5: on it, which is when I get annoyed, like like,
- 8:12Speaker 5: no one is sitting here saying like no, it is
- 8:15Speaker 5: annoying because I'm not sitting here telling you that. I
- 8:18Speaker 5: think that the Patriots purposely go out ever or any
- 8:20Speaker 5: team goes out there to try to lose games. And
- 8:23Speaker 5: I don't think the Patriots should do that at any
- 8:25Speaker 5: time at any point. But if you want to build
- 8:28Speaker 5: a sustained winner in this league, then doing it one
- 8:32Speaker 5: year with a good free agency class. We've seen this
- 8:35Speaker 5: movie before repeatedly. But teams that try to do that, listen,
- 8:39Speaker 5: they have one year where they get a shot in
- 8:41Speaker 5: the environment and they go back down to Earth.
- 8:43Speaker 3: And I agree with that totally. I also agree you
- 8:45Speaker 3: have to build through the draft, but I also say
- 8:49Speaker 3: that you don't always have to be drafting in the
- 8:51Speaker 3: top five or even the top ten to draft good players.
- 8:55Speaker 5: Not to draft good players, but if you don't already
- 8:58Speaker 5: have good players on your roster, if you don't have
- 9:00Speaker 5: Patrick Mahomes, you don't have Josh Allen, if you don't
- 9:03Speaker 5: have Tom Brady, then you drafting you're not going to
- 9:07Speaker 5: be able to just pick like Dan Copen, like I know,
- 9:11Speaker 5: and Eugene Wilson and turn those guys into the players
- 9:15Speaker 5: you also.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Don't hope not to win so that you can't draft tie.
- 9:18Speaker 3: I don't think the Commanders would do anything to give
- 9:21Speaker 3: away what they did last year.
- 9:22Speaker 5: Yeah, they could go hang their banner champions again.
- 9:29Speaker 4: This is this is just that's the crux of what
- 9:31Speaker 4: I disgoyed, right.
- 9:33Speaker 3: That as you're coming off like a cold draft knick,
- 9:40Speaker 3: you know, uh, you know, gen z Staton, you're.
- 9:43Speaker 5: Coming off like Felger who just.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I hope I'm coming off like someone who
- 9:51Speaker 3: wants to compete and win. That's the point of playing
- 9:55Speaker 3: these games.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Okay, well we're talking about this off fair at all,
- 10:02Speaker 4: just completely picked up where it left off when you left.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Yes, I like it, It's fine, all right, all right?
- 10:08Speaker 3: What note we had a practice report yesterday, participation report.
- 10:12Speaker 11: Yeah, Now, Craig Woodson was out, so safety is dealing
- 10:17Speaker 11: with some injury issues. Jalen Hawkins has been out, so yeah,
- 10:19Speaker 11: they might have to deal with some of that, and
- 10:21Speaker 11: I mean.
- 10:21Speaker 3: We'll get some extra reps.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe Kyle Dougast is staying in the mix.
- 10:27Speaker 11: You can say, you can say say it probably not maybe,
- 10:32Speaker 11: but I think Jerry Judy, that's what I was looking
- 10:34Speaker 11: for you to say, Jerry safety.
- 10:36Speaker 4: He doesn't play safety anymore. Well, he hasn't under mic.
- 10:39Speaker 3: I know, I know that, I know that, but it
- 10:41Speaker 3: is but he has played safety.
- 10:44Speaker 11: It does sound like it's a Paul's thing of it
- 10:46Speaker 11: all working off for the Patriots. Sounds like it's kind
- 10:47Speaker 11: of percolating right now. With Jerry Judy missed practice yesterday,
- 10:50Speaker 11: we'll see Michael Pennox is dealing with a knee injury
- 10:54Speaker 11: and Baker Mayfield.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Well, so those guys are both limited. So next uh
- 10:59Speaker 1: you opponents are banged up.
- 11:02Speaker 4: But it looks like Hawkins will be back and probably
- 11:06Speaker 4: if Woodson will see today. You know, I think if
- 11:09Speaker 4: you missed two days in a row and they're.
- 11:11Speaker 11: A little more liberal with missing guys on Wednesday, given
- 11:14Speaker 11: the day off.
- 11:14Speaker 4: I agree, and I think Wednesday, Thursday, I'm sorry, is
- 11:18Speaker 4: the day. If I'm not mistaken that they've been in pads, right.
- 11:21Speaker 5: Yes, uh, well, they're never in full pads, Paul, I understand, Mike, Well,
- 11:26Speaker 5: nobody couple of anymore picking knits today. No, I think, well,
- 11:33Speaker 5: they've been in shell's both Wednesday and okay, because they
- 11:37Speaker 5: actually practiced in shells quite a bit, but.
- 11:42Speaker 4: I thought they had been wearing pads on Thursdays.
- 11:44Speaker 5: But well, again, we're we're putting the heirs. Hawkins. I
- 11:50Speaker 5: was a little surprised did to play last week. He
- 11:51Speaker 5: traveled with the team to Tennessee and seemed like he
- 11:54Speaker 5: was headed in the right direction. And I think they
- 11:56Speaker 5: just kind of aired on the side of caution with
- 11:58Speaker 5: that one, and and gave him the extra week to
- 12:00Speaker 5: get healthy, so I would expect him. He was full yesterday,
- 12:04Speaker 5: so I expect him to be back. So it's kind
- 12:07Speaker 5: of just you know, going to be Kyle Dugger and
- 12:09Speaker 5: Jalen Hawkins instead of Kyle Dugger and Craig Woodson. If
- 12:12Speaker 5: Craig Woodson doesn't doesn't probably on Sunday.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Okay, any other news we have to get out of
- 12:19Speaker 3: the way.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I want to think.
- 12:21Speaker 11: So Stanley Morgan making it, you know, the Hall of
- 12:23Speaker 11: Fames announcing all of their you know, not finalists yet,
- 12:27Speaker 11: it's like they're moving on.
- 12:28Speaker 1: But Stanley Morgan is as.
- 12:31Speaker 3: People know, I'm a small hall guy. A lot of
- 12:33Speaker 3: guys that are in it I don't think should be
- 12:35Speaker 3: in it. A lot of guys that get nominated. Stanley
- 12:38Speaker 3: Morgan should be in the Hall of Fame based on
- 12:41Speaker 3: who's in there now and what he did, you know,
- 12:44Speaker 3: as a as a receiver, he should be in the
- 12:47Speaker 3: Hall of Fame.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Mike, did you tell the story on air when you
- 12:51Speaker 4: sat down with Rodney Harrison and Tony Dungee.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Oh no, I don't think. Yeah, that.
- 12:58Speaker 11: Is a good story, Paul, Yeah it was. It was
- 12:59Speaker 11: funny time. Tony Dungee was sitting right where I was sitting.
- 13:01Speaker 11: I was sitting with Paul and Evan r. And Tony
- 13:04Speaker 11: Dungee just you know, pointed out Stanley Morning like he
- 13:06Speaker 11: was a really good player, and I was like, and
- 13:08Speaker 11: we were just kind of that was good.
- 13:10Speaker 1: I didn't want I didn't want to go to extreme
- 13:12Speaker 1: on it. No, I don't want to. You know, Tony
- 13:14Speaker 1: was you know everything you think. It's just a great guy.
- 13:16Speaker 11: And you know, as we're waiting for the cameras to
- 13:18Speaker 11: get up and running, you know, had a little conversation
- 13:20Speaker 11: with him, and it was just so cool because the
- 13:22Speaker 11: second all right action, I asked no questions, Like the
- 13:24Speaker 11: professionalism just kicked in on both those guys in the
- 13:27Speaker 11: chemistry that they have.
- 13:28Speaker 1: But no, it was cool. I mean I wanted.
- 13:30Speaker 11: I mean, Dungee was a defensive back, so I was odd.
- 13:32Speaker 11: You ever, I should have asked him if he ever
- 13:34Speaker 11: crossed paths with him. I don't know for sure, if
- 13:36Speaker 11: you ever know cover Stanley Morgan, but the original deep
- 13:39Speaker 11: threat or one of the original deep threats, I mean.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Just the guy bridged over twenty yards to catch for
- 13:44Speaker 3: his career.
- 13:45Speaker 1: I mean three times, I think he led the league
- 13:47Speaker 1: in yards per catch.
- 13:49Speaker 3: And it wasn't like he was playing, you know, with great.
- 13:53Speaker 4: And it wasn't like he caught you know, fifteen passes
- 13:55Speaker 4: a year. He was the leading receiver for the team
- 13:58Speaker 4: and consistently averaged, you know, over seventeen yards a catch.
- 14:02Speaker 5: He was he was really one of the first like
- 14:06Speaker 5: true deep threats, you know, downfield passing wasn't you know,
- 14:09Speaker 5: a thing until really like the late sixties.
- 14:11Speaker 3: And I loved him.
- 14:12Speaker 5: Yeah, he was a really good player.
- 14:14Speaker 3: I just wanted to, you know, something was so just
- 14:17Speaker 3: being on the Patriots. You think that's hurt him not
- 14:20Speaker 3: getting in sooner?
- 14:22Speaker 1: Well, I mean he was also good Patriots, seems though.
- 14:24Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I don't know if it should have.
- 14:26Speaker 11: But the thing it was stood out to me is
- 14:27Speaker 11: I was kind of you know, researching him and doing
- 14:30Speaker 11: the eighty five thing was, you know, eighty four, eighty five,
- 14:33Speaker 11: thirty eight, thirty nine receptions, and then all of a
- 14:35Speaker 11: sudden in eighty six he just comes back with eighty
- 14:38Speaker 11: four catches, fourteen hundred and ninety one yards, ten touchdowns.
- 14:43Speaker 1: You know that was year he's thirty one. Seemed like
- 14:45Speaker 1: he was trending down.
- 14:46Speaker 4: With you have the whole numbers right there. I did,
- 14:48Speaker 4: what did he have for games played in eighty three,
- 14:50Speaker 4: eighty four whatever?
- 14:51Speaker 11: In eighty four he played thirteen, and eighty five he
- 14:53Speaker 11: played fifteen, and in eighty six.
- 14:55Speaker 1: He played sixteen.
- 14:56Speaker 4: It wasn't he didn't miss as many games. But I
- 14:58Speaker 4: will say that's one. The one negative on Stanley Morgan
- 15:01Speaker 4: is he constantly dealt with hamstring problems. Yeah, and I
- 15:04Speaker 4: think that limited some of his production, but his numbers.
- 15:08Speaker 4: You know this, I'm going to play Evan's side of
- 15:09Speaker 4: the street here. There's two I think excellent wide receivers
- 15:15Speaker 4: for Pittsburgh and Lynn Swan and John Stalwart. Stanley Morgan
- 15:19Speaker 4: is a better player than both, especially Swan. And you said,
- 15:24Speaker 4: did the Patriots have something to do with it? I
- 15:26Speaker 4: would say yes, that elevated, you know, four titles for
- 15:30Speaker 4: the Steelers. Absolutely elevated those two wide receivers and got
- 15:33Speaker 4: them in and Stanley Morgan never got a chance to
- 15:37Speaker 4: do it. I'm not telling you that Swan and Stalwarts
- 15:40Speaker 4: don't belong in. I'm telling you Morgan belongs in too.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Sure.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Yeah, especially Stalwarts. He was really really good player for Pittsburgh.
- 15:48Speaker 4: Swan made the big highlight reel catches and Super Bowls
- 15:51Speaker 4: that people remember, but Stalwart was an unbelievable players.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Yeah. So let's let's hope. Now he's in the veterans,
- 15:59Speaker 3: he's in the scene and how many of those can
- 16:01Speaker 3: go in, like two or something like that.
- 16:03Speaker 1: They're all part of the finalists.
- 16:04Speaker 11: So I think the way they kind of have it
- 16:05Speaker 11: is there's four separate contributors, coaches, seniors, and regular players,
- 16:10Speaker 11: and they'll all be narrowed down to finalists and then
- 16:12Speaker 11: I think it's everybody's kind of in the mix, right, So.
- 16:14Speaker 4: They'll have one senior guy, one contributor one.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I don't even know if they have I don't even
- 16:19Speaker 1: know if they have to happen.
- 16:20Speaker 11: I don't think they have to even a coach, Like
- 16:22Speaker 11: it's they there's a finalist, but it doesn't have to happen.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Oh no, no, they don't have to put them in. But
- 16:27Speaker 4: I think that they all all of those committees pick
- 16:29Speaker 4: one guy and present them to the Fame. The Hall
- 16:32Speaker 4: of Fame committee then votes whether or not they're in.
- 16:35Speaker 3: I thought nobody gets in if they don't get a
- 16:37Speaker 3: certain percentage of the votes, Like if one person doesn't
- 16:40Speaker 3: get like sixty percent. I don't know about they don't
- 16:42Speaker 3: put anyone in.
- 16:43Speaker 4: I don't know if that's the Hall of Fame committee. Okay,
- 16:46Speaker 4: these are different, say these are different committees.
- 16:49Speaker 3: I know they're differently.
- 16:50Speaker 4: I think that they all are tasked with picking one guy.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I don't know for sure. I know that's definitely sure
- 16:55Speaker 1: on the coaches.
- 16:56Speaker 11: I think maybe in the seniors, they it was like
- 16:58Speaker 11: twelve that they narrow down to, like the finalists.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I could be last.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Year on the senior committee, former Packers receiver who I
- 17:08Speaker 5: think Stanley Morgan is also better than by the.
- 17:10Speaker 4: Way, but sharp Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a little bit
- 17:14Speaker 4: of a I think he's a better player too, but
- 17:16Speaker 4: that's a little bit of an extenuating circumstance with his
- 17:18Speaker 4: career getting cut short.
- 17:19Speaker 5: Yeah. So they last year, they you know, for Fred,
- 17:24Speaker 5: they had a very small it was a small class,
- 17:27Speaker 5: and you know, there were some guys, you know, first
- 17:30Speaker 5: ballot guys that didn't get in, you know, first ballot
- 17:32Speaker 5: guys in terms of their candidacy that could have been
- 17:35Speaker 5: first ballot that didn't get in. That was pretty surprising
- 17:38Speaker 5: for a lot of people. Obviously Vinitarry like here is locally,
- 17:42Speaker 5: but it was they were tough last year. They were
- 17:45Speaker 5: tough voters. They didn't let a lot of guys in.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Adam Adam and Rodney, you know, those two guys.
- 17:51Speaker 3: I wonder if it's a good The list this year
- 17:54Speaker 3: is pretty good. There's a lot of good players on
- 17:57Speaker 3: the list this year, you know, the modern first timers.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Yeah, a lot of interesting names like Drew Brees.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Yeah, Philip Rivers. There's a lot of good players.
- 18:11Speaker 4: So, Larry Fitzgerald, Jason Witten. There's some good first time candidates.
- 18:17Speaker 4: I don't know, you know, not putting them all in
- 18:19Speaker 4: the same bucket here, but there are some good candidates
- 18:21Speaker 4: on the list.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:23Speaker 3: So it's gonna be tough for Vinitarian Harrison is what
- 18:26Speaker 3: I'm saying.
- 18:26Speaker 11: And Ventitari was a finalist last year, so he goes
- 18:29Speaker 11: right through to like the final group, so yeah, he
- 18:31Speaker 11: doesn't have to go through this next process. So him
- 18:34Speaker 11: and a couple other guys that were finalis Eli Manning
- 18:37Speaker 11: and Rodney was not a finally he was a finalist
- 18:39Speaker 11: I think a couple of years ago, and then he
- 18:40Speaker 11: wasn't last year, so he's he'll still have to fight
- 18:42Speaker 11: his way through.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Okay, Well, that's it's interesting. Patriots are well represented on
- 18:48Speaker 3: on both lists, so yeah, And of course Robert Kraft
- 18:51Speaker 3: is eligible so tomorrow.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Will be contributors.
- 18:53Speaker 11: So we'll see, uh if he's on that list, and yeah,
- 18:57Speaker 11: just uh, Logan mankins All is in that group as well,
- 19:01Speaker 11: worth worth a mention and love to see him, you know.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I'd just love to see more Patriots in the Hall
- 19:06Speaker 1: of Fame.
- 19:07Speaker 4: Yep, I missed my meeting with Logan this year. I'm
- 19:09Speaker 4: upset about.
- 19:10Speaker 5: That with Logan.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Okay, guy? What else?
- 19:14Speaker 4: Seeing in Fenwick? Played on Friday? But I didn't go
- 19:16Speaker 4: to the game.
- 19:17Speaker 3: What else? What else? Alex? What's going on with you?
- 19:20Speaker 3: You had a birthday?
- 19:21Speaker 4: Right?
- 19:21Speaker 3: I had the whole world? Was it yesterday?
- 19:24Speaker 7: It was Tuesday?
- 19:24Speaker 8: Tuesday, although a lot of people think it was yesterday,
- 19:27Speaker 8: and I kind of just like, I don't know. I
- 19:30Speaker 8: felt uncomfortable, so I just let him think it was.
- 19:32Speaker 7: Yes.
- 19:33Speaker 3: Yeah, you didn't want to be correcting everybody. Yeah, so
- 19:36Speaker 3: would you do anything good?
- 19:37Speaker 5: Happy birthday?
- 19:38Speaker 1: Losing their luster a little bit?
- 19:39Speaker 3: Are you a good birthday celebrator?
- 19:42Speaker 4: No?
- 19:42Speaker 1: I think she's at the especially thirty one hour.
- 19:45Speaker 7: It's all downhill from here.
- 19:46Speaker 4: It's thirty one.
- 19:47Speaker 3: It's all over prime, but you're.
- 19:51Speaker 1: In your prime.
- 19:53Speaker 3: No, thirty one is the new twenty nine? Is it?
- 19:56Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 19:57Speaker 4: Is it really?
- 19:57Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 19:58Speaker 1: Good to know forty is.
- 19:59Speaker 3: The new th all right?
- 20:00Speaker 7: I changed my mind and it was a great what's
- 20:02Speaker 7: eighty the news?
- 20:07Speaker 3: All right? I know what that means? A five five
- 20:09Speaker 3: past five hundred is the hotline podcast at patriots dot
- 20:12Speaker 3: com is the email address. We're going to do picks later.
- 20:16Speaker 3: I got to pop out at about one oh.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Five, happy about that?
- 20:22Speaker 4: We can we go? We get hurry. Freend's not here
- 20:25Speaker 4: to make sure.
- 20:25Speaker 3: But I'll be back before picks. Don't worry about it.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Not that's just poor to me, little preview did how
- 20:31Speaker 3: did everyone do good week for you? Well, I'm talking
- 20:35Speaker 3: about everybody else. We know that everybody else.
- 20:37Speaker 4: I just continue to climb out of the basement. Okay, good,
- 20:39Speaker 4: It's been a long Jewish journey. But okay, I'm no
- 20:43Speaker 4: longer in last place in either one of.
- 20:44Speaker 3: Them, like the seven circles of help?
- 20:46Speaker 4: Correct, that's every show with you.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Should I go to the phone, Should I go to
- 20:54Speaker 3: the emails? What should I do? What do you think?
- 20:57Speaker 3: Why doesn't this mouse work?
- 20:59Speaker 7: Why don't you leave class?
- 21:01Speaker 4: Why don't you lead off with Christian and let him
- 21:02Speaker 4: yell at me?
- 21:03Speaker 3: All right? Oh okay, oh there he is there you go.
- 21:06Speaker 3: I guess you know we we brought up his name right,
- 21:09Speaker 3: so we should probably let him have hus speak. Okay,
- 21:12Speaker 3: but keep it simple, Christian, what's up, Paul.
- 21:19Speaker 6: Because I'm a gentleman and a scholar, I'm just going
- 21:23Speaker 6: to take my flowers and say we're on the same side. However,
- 21:27Speaker 6: today I gotta get after you guys to getting on
- 21:30Speaker 6: Evan because Evan is right. In today's league, you cannot
- 21:34Speaker 6: build a team one draft and then you start sort
- 21:37Speaker 6: of nippicking around. It's not going to happen that way.
- 21:40Speaker 6: The talent disparage you between the top players and the
- 21:44Speaker 6: mid players and the lower players is way too too
- 21:46Speaker 6: wide today, and the margin is so thin that you
- 21:50Speaker 6: literally have to be in the top half of the
- 21:52Speaker 6: draft for at least three years build a.
- 21:54Speaker 10: Team that's that's going to be able to.
- 21:56Speaker 6: Sustain and compete for a playoff in about four years.
- 22:00Speaker 6: So I'm on Evan's side. No one's saying let's purposely lose.
- 22:03Speaker 6: What he's saying is it definitely takes at least three drafts,
- 22:07Speaker 6: good drafts in the high picks to get it. Jalen
- 22:10Speaker 6: Polk was never going to be good. You know why,
- 22:12Speaker 6: because either at the bottom of the first or second round,
- 22:15Speaker 6: running a four, four to three or four I mean
- 22:16Speaker 6: four or five, four, six. That's ridiculous. We can't get
- 22:19Speaker 6: players that are great unless we are higher in the draft.
- 22:22Speaker 6: How did that happen? You are at the bottom seat
- 22:25Speaker 6: of the playoffs or not in the playoffs. That's all
- 22:27Speaker 6: we were trying to say. We need to say lose. Purposely,
- 22:30Speaker 6: we said to building today's league. It's different. Thank you guys,
- 22:34Speaker 6: Gon'll take it off the air. Let's beat these Browns
- 22:36Speaker 6: and keep moving on.
- 22:36Speaker 3: All right, thanks question, okay, all right, all right, So.
- 22:39Speaker 4: I purposely let that go, and again I would just
- 22:44Speaker 4: start I would just argue back and say, first of all,
- 22:48Speaker 4: Jalen Polk was at the top of the second round,
- 22:50Speaker 4: not the bottom right. Second of all, you had a
- 22:54Speaker 4: better option than Jalen Polk that got taken and it
- 22:58Speaker 4: has been far more productive after Jalen Pope. Correct. They
- 23:02Speaker 4: have their their opportunity to draft labmer Conky and they didn't.
- 23:04Speaker 4: Fred was climbering of the lab. They traded down, They
- 23:08Speaker 4: traded That's what I'm saying. They had an opportunity to
- 23:11Speaker 4: draft them and they didn't.
- 23:12Speaker 5: Correct.
- 23:13Speaker 4: So I just would push back on this, the whole
- 23:18Speaker 4: notion that you can't get good players unless you pick
- 23:21Speaker 4: in the top half of the first round.
- 23:22Speaker 5: Right, No, I'm saying that.
- 23:23Speaker 4: I didn't say that you did. He keeps insisting that
- 23:27Speaker 4: I'm with him.
- 23:28Speaker 5: I am not.
- 23:30Speaker 4: I would just push back on that whole mentality. This
- 23:34Speaker 4: is not about Evan's right when you know, talking about
- 23:37Speaker 4: the goalposts, like, this argument isn't about losing on purpose,
- 23:40Speaker 4: trying to lose. That's not what this arguments about. That's
- 23:43Speaker 4: not what anyone is suggesting. Evan's not suggesting that at all.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Where Evan and I have a little bit of a
- 23:49Speaker 4: difference of opinion is I don't believe that the only
- 23:52Speaker 4: way to get really good players is to be at
- 23:54Speaker 4: the top half of the first round. I think you
- 23:57Speaker 4: have to get good players regardless of where you pick.
- 23:59Speaker 4: I I agree with Evan on that that's the only
- 24:01Speaker 4: way to sustain success is to draft.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Well, I just want to be I just want to
- 24:07Speaker 3: clear something up. So right now, I think we would
- 24:10Speaker 3: all agree that the Patriots are on a roll. They're
- 24:14Speaker 3: winning games, but there's a lot of still roster stuff
- 24:18Speaker 3: that they need to do. Absolutely absolutely, so now they're screwed.
- 24:22Speaker 5: Right, No, that's not what I'm saying because if they
- 24:25Speaker 5: what if they do well this year, because that's fine.
- 24:28Speaker 5: The Patriots have already been in the gutter enough now.
- 24:31Speaker 3: I know, But how are they in your mind, how
- 24:33Speaker 3: are they going to get back?
- 24:33Speaker 5: Because I don't think what they need now is going
- 24:36Speaker 5: to be like foundational pieces that you can't get elsewhere.
- 24:41Speaker 5: They have the quarterback, they have a left tackle, they
- 24:43Speaker 5: have a number one corner, like these are the places
- 24:46Speaker 5: that are really difficult to find at thirty in the
- 24:50Speaker 5: draft or in free agency. They don't come available. Number
- 24:54Speaker 5: one wide receiver. You can trade for those. We see
- 24:57Speaker 5: it all the time, Like you can go in the
- 24:58Speaker 5: trade market and you can for an AJ Brown, you
- 25:01Speaker 5: can trade for a Stefon Diggs, you can trade for
- 25:03Speaker 5: a Tyreek Hill like that gets moved right now. The
- 25:07Speaker 5: only thing that I think that they're probably missing out of,
- 25:10Speaker 5: like the premium positions, is like a stud edge rusher.
- 25:14Speaker 5: So maybe they will have to do that by committee
- 25:17Speaker 5: like they're doing right now, instead of going out and
- 25:20Speaker 5: getting von Miller at the top of the draft. They
- 25:23Speaker 5: might need Landry's and Chase Son's and those types of
- 25:26Speaker 5: players to fill it in. But what we're not asking
- 25:28Speaker 5: them to do is to go find a quarterback drafting
- 25:32Speaker 5: at twenty right, and that's where the Pittsburgh Steelers have
- 25:35Speaker 5: been for the last five years, is they don't have
- 25:38Speaker 5: a quarterback of the future, but they don't stink enough
- 25:41Speaker 5: to draft a quarterback up top, so they're getting you know,
- 25:44Speaker 5: Kenny Pickett's of the world. The Patriots draft Mac Jones
- 25:47Speaker 5: fifteenth overall instead of having Trevor Lawrence right like that.
- 25:52Speaker 5: Those are the problems that I think you have. But
- 25:54Speaker 5: the Patriots have been in the gutter for three years now,
- 25:57Speaker 5: really two years in the top of the five draft,
- 26:00Speaker 5: so they've started to pick some of these pillar foundational
- 26:03Speaker 5: guys at these premium positions.
- 26:05Speaker 3: But one of the reasons why they're they've been so
- 26:08Speaker 3: bad is because they didn't draft well, they didn't draft
- 26:12Speaker 3: they had let Paul pointed out, and there's been there's
- 26:14Speaker 3: plenty of other examples. They had chances to draft better
- 26:19Speaker 3: players than they draft.
- 26:20Speaker 5: But we can play that game all day with all
- 26:22Speaker 5: thirty two exactly.
- 26:23Speaker 3: That's kind of the point of it is, like it's
- 26:26Speaker 3: not where, it's who.
- 26:27Speaker 5: No, But the point is is that you're talking about
- 26:29Speaker 5: like quarterback. You can't just expect quarterbacks.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Of course, you're.
- 26:34Speaker 5: You're talking about left tackle, which like those those guys.
- 26:38Speaker 3: But you can get that guy and all of a sudden,
- 26:40Speaker 3: now you're a good team.
- 26:42Speaker 5: You do not find left tackles that are starting caliber
- 26:46Speaker 5: like good left tackles on Day two of the draft.
- 26:50Speaker 3: So don't so back back when they drafted Mac Jones.
- 26:54Speaker 3: In an alternate universe, let's say Drake May was that guy.
- 26:58Speaker 3: They would have gotten better a lot faster.
- 27:00Speaker 5: But Drake May wouldn't have gone fifteenth overall, I'm.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Just saying if they had been able to pick Drake
- 27:04Speaker 3: May back then this rebuild would have happened a lot
- 27:08Speaker 3: faster than it did without Bill Campbell and without all
- 27:11Speaker 3: these guys.
- 27:12Speaker 5: Because they had holdovers from the Brady teams.
- 27:15Speaker 3: They weren't good. It was a bad team.
- 27:17Speaker 5: Twenty one was not a bad team.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Well, I don't know.
- 27:21Speaker 4: I just it was the free agent team.
- 27:23Speaker 3: I just think there's a lot of ways to skin
- 27:25Speaker 3: the cat in the NFL. I do believe you have
- 27:27Speaker 3: to draft well, you have to build through the draft,
- 27:31Speaker 3: but you don't always have to draft in the top
- 27:34Speaker 3: ten to draft good players.
- 27:36Speaker 5: You don't know, I'm saying that what I'm telling you
- 27:38Speaker 5: is is that I think at these premium positions like quarterback,
- 27:42Speaker 5: like left tackle, like all corner pass rusher, like those
- 27:47Speaker 5: guys go at the top of the draft. There's a
- 27:50Speaker 5: reason why they call them premium positions because they're worth
- 27:53Speaker 5: now over time.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Let's just say you have Drake May and man, we've
- 27:56Speaker 3: got this great quarterback. We've got the potential at that time.
- 28:01Speaker 3: You can you can get a left tackle. You can
- 28:04Speaker 3: you can trade or buy a left tackle, you know,
- 28:08Speaker 3: because you're not you're only paying that one guy, right.
- 28:12Speaker 5: You get him, even if what is he going to
- 28:13Speaker 5: be good?
- 28:14Speaker 3: Like?
- 28:14Speaker 5: Is he going to be worth the money that you're paying? Like,
- 28:16Speaker 5: go look at the free agency at left tackle last year.
- 28:19Speaker 5: We just played one last week in Tennessee Dan Moore
- 28:21Speaker 5: Junior who got smoked by the AFC defensive Player of
- 28:24Speaker 5: the week.
- 28:25Speaker 3: I know, but so again, you can, right, But if
- 28:27Speaker 3: you've got the quarterback, that's half the battle.
- 28:30Speaker 4: Of course, and if the whole quarterback more than half.
- 28:32Speaker 5: Right, If you get the quarterback.
- 28:34Speaker 3: And if you're only paying the quarterback, you've got money
- 28:37Speaker 3: to burn. Now you don't I'm assuming you don't have
- 28:40Speaker 3: your cornerback you don't have your red rusher, you don't
- 28:42Speaker 3: have your left tackle. There's other ways.
- 28:44Speaker 5: To get them to where do they get the quarterback.
- 28:47Speaker 3: I'm just saying, probably high in the draft.
- 28:49Speaker 5: The Patriots got him high in the draft. They have
- 28:52Speaker 5: a sustainable What if they were in the.
- 28:53Speaker 3: Middle of the draft and they draft and they and they,
- 28:57Speaker 3: you know, moved got picks and moved up. Other teams
- 29:00Speaker 3: done that. Yeah, they moved up, okay, but they weren't
- 29:03Speaker 3: necessarily terrible teams.
- 29:05Speaker 4: That's how Kansas City built their dynasty.
- 29:07Speaker 5: Correct by trading all the way up to draft Patrick right,
- 29:10Speaker 5: and they weren't a bad but they were a good
- 29:12Speaker 5: team before that. They were I understand that. But when
- 29:15Speaker 5: they got and went to go get Mahomes, they drafted
- 29:17Speaker 5: him tenth overall.
- 29:18Speaker 3: But they didn't have to lose to win.
- 29:20Speaker 4: That's that's the part that I.
- 29:23Speaker 5: With Alex Smith's one example with Alex Smith, like if
- 29:27Speaker 5: the Patriots had signed the call, you could.
- 29:29Speaker 4: Give you examples, but you don't really agree with us.
- 29:32Speaker 4: So I think we're just banging our heads. Like the
- 29:35Speaker 4: Rams like gave away all their picks. They've sustained it
- 29:37Speaker 4: for what six seven years now, Like there's a random
- 29:41Speaker 4: there's a lot of different ways to do.
- 29:43Speaker 3: I remember at that time people said the Rams are
- 29:45Speaker 3: doing it wrong, they're screwed.
- 29:47Speaker 5: But the Okay, we're just gonna have to let this
- 29:49Speaker 5: go because you're not like the Rams already had their
- 29:52Speaker 5: foundational pieces in place. They already had quarter They drafted
- 29:56Speaker 5: Jared Goff first overall.
- 29:58Speaker 3: How did they get their quarterback?
- 29:59Speaker 5: But they drafted?
- 30:00Speaker 4: But has that in place? And you and you're killing
- 30:03Speaker 4: Washington and yet praising the Patriots. They're the same. They
- 30:07Speaker 4: both had a top three pick, nailed the quarterback, and
- 30:10Speaker 4: they they've gotten better.
- 30:11Speaker 3: But I'm talking about the quarterback.
- 30:14Speaker 5: Jared Goff for him, the Pagers didn't have a Jared Goff.
- 30:17Speaker 3: The trade for they.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Goa But we're not talking about like once you once
- 30:23Speaker 4: you get the quarterback, we no longer have any interest
- 30:26Speaker 4: in picking in the top ten. Who's saying they have
- 30:29Speaker 4: interest in Fred and I are saying that we do.
- 30:32Speaker 4: But you think that Washington is like doomed because they
- 30:36Speaker 4: went to the NERC Championship last year.
- 30:38Speaker 5: I think Washington that's the that's the part that we're
- 30:40Speaker 5: disagreeing on. Washington hit lightning in a bottle. Last year.
- 30:43Speaker 4: They may have they may not have been quite that good.
- 30:46Speaker 4: But to me, the future is rosy for Washington because
- 30:50Speaker 4: the quarterback is good. They'll be able to continue if
- 30:53Speaker 4: they draft well to put pieces around him. You don't
- 30:57Speaker 4: have to have a top half of the first round
- 30:59Speaker 4: pick to go from where Washington is now to title contender,
- 31:03Speaker 4: in my view. Doesn't make them right. Doesn't mean I'm right,
- 31:07Speaker 4: but I don't think that they need a top five
- 31:09Speaker 4: pick to help Jayden Daniels get to the where they
- 31:13Speaker 4: want to go. I agree with you. That was lightning
- 31:15Speaker 4: in a bottle last year. Fred and I talked about
- 31:17Speaker 4: it a lot in the summer. I agree with you.
- 31:19Speaker 4: They weren't quite as good as their record indicated last year.
- 31:22Speaker 4: But I think they'll be okay because as long as
- 31:24Speaker 4: Daniel stays healthy.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Right, I think ok.
- 31:27Speaker 5: I Just the way that I look at it is
- 31:30Speaker 5: that I look at teams that sustained success in the league,
- 31:34Speaker 5: not teams that have hit it one year and then
- 31:37Speaker 5: come back down to earth. Teams that build that, Teams
- 31:40Speaker 5: that really sustain it. Now, we want to use the Chiefs,
- 31:43Speaker 5: who have the greatest quarterback of the modern era, then
- 31:45Speaker 5: I guess we can take the Chiefs. But like I
- 31:48Speaker 5: just like, Okay, if I had Patrick Mahomes, then yes,
- 31:51Speaker 5: I probably could build a team picking at the bottom
- 31:53Speaker 5: of the first round.
- 31:54Speaker 3: If I had Tom Brigeles.
- 31:55Speaker 5: The Eagles drafted Jalen Carter tent, they drafted DeVante Smith,
- 31:59Speaker 5: like twelve. The drafted a lot of their players in
- 32:01Speaker 5: the top of the draft.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Ten and twelve.
- 32:04Speaker 5: Yeah, ten and twelve, that's all I'm saying.
- 32:06Speaker 3: And Jalen Hurts was in the second round.
- 32:08Speaker 5: Yeah, they got lucky they drafted. He's one of the
- 32:10Speaker 5: few outliers outside of the first round that's worked out.
- 32:14Speaker 5: Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott, like Kirk Cousins for a minute.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Like Russell Wilson.
- 32:18Speaker 5: Yeah, Russell Wilson. You've named four Like this is exactly like.
- 32:22Speaker 3: There's only thirty two teams. Oh yeah, we're getting.
- 32:24Speaker 4: There, Fred, that's not an argument you want to make. No,
- 32:26Speaker 4: if you want to be good, you got to get
- 32:28Speaker 4: a first round draft pick for a quarterback. I mean
- 32:29Speaker 4: it's pretty simple. There's like fifteen good quarterbacks in the league,
- 32:34Speaker 4: and like thirteen of them were drafted.
- 32:35Speaker 3: In the first right. No, but you can take somebody
- 32:37Speaker 3: Else's draft pick. Matthew Stafford was a high pick, but
- 32:40Speaker 3: they traded for him. They didn't draft him.
- 32:42Speaker 4: Yeah, but they traded a number one overall pick for
- 32:45Speaker 4: a number one overall pick. I know, to Evans's points,
- 32:47Speaker 4: but you say, I am not not that stubborn. I
- 32:50Speaker 4: can go back. I understand, I could switch side. We know,
- 32:54Speaker 4: I can argue anything.
- 32:56Speaker 5: It's very hard to find blue chip talent outside of
- 32:58Speaker 5: the top ten fifteen.
- 33:00Speaker 3: You could just say, period, it's hard to find blue
- 33:03Speaker 3: chip talent. There's not a lot of blue champers out there.
- 33:06Speaker 5: Well, I mean, I guess that gets into a whole
- 33:08Speaker 5: semantics of what's a blue chipper. But like, I think
- 33:12Speaker 5: define those types of players. You know, we can sit
- 33:15Speaker 5: here and talk about the Eagles. The Eagles have spread
- 33:18Speaker 5: it really thin. They've done it in multiple ways. But
- 33:20Speaker 5: at the same time, Lane Johnson was a top five
- 33:23Speaker 5: pick in the draft. Jalen Carter was went tenth overall
- 33:26Speaker 5: to Philadelphia a couple of years ago. DeVante Smith I
- 33:29Speaker 5: think was like eleven or twelve, right, Like, it's not
- 33:31Speaker 5: like their team is filled with guys that weren't drafted highly.
- 33:35Speaker 5: You know, Jordan Davis was a top twenty pick in
- 33:38Speaker 5: the draft.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Yeah, and they also manipulate well to get those they did.
- 33:42Speaker 3: They made a lot of good They make trades and
- 33:44Speaker 3: now they have a.
- 33:45Speaker 5: Roundation and now they now they have Jalen Carter in place.
- 33:48Speaker 4: They have like the most important thing is is when
- 33:51Speaker 4: they manipulated and moved around the board, they hit the pick. Right,
- 33:55Speaker 4: they didn't take Jalen Polk instead of Lad McConkie.
- 33:58Speaker 5: Right, right, take Jalen Rager.
- 34:01Speaker 4: But that was a wild ago. You're going back.
- 34:04Speaker 5: I know, I'm just messing.
- 34:06Speaker 3: All right, let's keep going. Let's let's let's proceed. Nate's
- 34:11Speaker 3: in Connecticut. What's up, Nate? Hey? Hey?
- 34:16Speaker 1: Good?
- 34:17Speaker 12: Uh So my question for you guys is, with the
- 34:20Speaker 12: trade deadline quickly approaching, I see us not adding a
- 34:26Speaker 12: wide receiver, even though people say we we we're gonna
- 34:29Speaker 12: try to.
- 34:30Speaker 10: I don't see that.
- 34:32Speaker 12: I see plenty of potential with Kashan Boody. I know
- 34:36Speaker 12: we signed dig was like a one year deal. I
- 34:39Speaker 12: think three years three year, okay, But you know, with
- 34:45Speaker 12: Hop Douglas, I think we have enough in the wide
- 34:47Speaker 12: receiver room. It's just I feel like we can add
- 34:51Speaker 12: some depth at corner because I've seen Carton Carson Davis,
- 34:57Speaker 12: you know, get shaken off after a lot of plays,
- 35:00Speaker 12: and I don't know how many plays he's gonna come
- 35:02Speaker 12: back up, Uh, not without a scratch, if you know
- 35:05Speaker 12: what I'm saying. But I see I see aid in,
- 35:09Speaker 12: probably a cornerback and maybe a couple of defensive playmakers,
- 35:13Speaker 12: just to beef up the defense. But I want you
- 35:15Speaker 12: guys to know from that, I think, Okay.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw Sweet this morning.
- 35:19Speaker 11: Shoot, I forget who it was from saying that the
- 35:21Speaker 11: Patriots had been more interested in defensive players. That's what
- 35:23Speaker 11: the rumblings are for the trade deadline, looking at cornerbacks
- 35:27Speaker 11: and linebacker.
- 35:28Speaker 1: That what it was.
- 35:29Speaker 3: I think that's probably where the value is.
- 35:31Speaker 11: Yeah maybe, but yeah, I just I still think they're
- 35:34Speaker 11: searching for some pieces on defense even now.
- 35:38Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm not saying it never happens, but I wouldn't
- 35:41Speaker 5: get your hopes up that they're gonna make like a
- 35:44Speaker 5: splash or like a team altering type of trade in
- 35:48Speaker 5: the middle of the season. They might make a trade
- 35:51Speaker 5: for depth. You know, they might get another corner in here.
- 35:54Speaker 5: To Nate's point that you know, just in terms of insurance,
- 35:57Speaker 5: if you know, somebody one of those top three guys
- 35:59Speaker 5: gets hurt and they don't love Charles Woods or they
- 36:01Speaker 5: don't love Alex Austen. You know, they could do that,
- 36:04Speaker 5: They could get you have some more depth in safety
- 36:06Speaker 5: with all the injuries that they've had recently at safety.
- 36:09Speaker 5: But I don't think that they're going to be able
- 36:11Speaker 5: to get a player that's really going to move the needle. Now,
- 36:14Speaker 5: it happens sometimes, it doesn't never happen, but it's it's
- 36:18Speaker 5: pretty rare.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Yeah, look at edge depth too. You know.
- 36:21Speaker 5: That's sure drum beat for me.
- 36:23Speaker 11: But I think they'll do something and I I just
- 36:26Speaker 11: running back. We keep bringing it up, but what's going
- 36:28Speaker 11: to happen there? Not gonna let Remandre carry the load
- 36:31Speaker 11: for you know, all by himself.
- 36:33Speaker 4: In the last I'm surprised. And it is definitely depending
- 36:37Speaker 4: on where you look like Jeremy Fowler said they are
- 36:39Speaker 4: absolutely in the running back market. I think Diana Rossini
- 36:43Speaker 4: said they're not.
- 36:44Speaker 3: In the running back market.
- 36:45Speaker 4: I don't know what to believe, but I can't imagine
- 36:49Speaker 4: that if they had an opportunity. I agree with Evan
- 36:51Speaker 4: big splash is probably unrealistic, but they need just depth
- 36:56Speaker 4: pieces at running back. I can't imagine you want to
- 36:59Speaker 4: go with the rest away with two guys.
- 37:01Speaker 5: And I was surprised they haven't moved on a running
- 37:02Speaker 5: back me too.
- 37:04Speaker 11: And I mean, I'm I'm not reading too much into it.
- 37:06Speaker 11: I just highlight like Rabel saying in the locker room
- 37:09Speaker 11: after the game to Terrell Jennings, we found our what
- 37:11Speaker 11: our ten or.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Five minute back, like you know, I don't know if
- 37:14Speaker 1: that was.
- 37:14Speaker 11: Real or like, but to me it would like perk
- 37:17Speaker 11: my ears up a little bit of are you going
- 37:19Speaker 11: to give him some more carries?
- 37:20Speaker 1: Was that just garbage like that? Right?
- 37:24Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 37:24Speaker 4: I mean that was garbage time arries. That's not the
- 37:28Speaker 4: same thing.
- 37:28Speaker 11: It might know that, Yeah, no, I know that's and
- 37:30Speaker 11: that's why I said, like I wasn't saying like, but
- 37:32Speaker 11: it just highlighted to me like they're saying we found
- 37:35Speaker 11: our something, like you're looking for something at that. Not
- 37:37Speaker 11: to say that Terrell Jennings is going to be that guy,
- 37:39Speaker 11: but it's just a glaring need right now. And you know,
- 37:42Speaker 11: I think we all know if Romandrie goes down with
- 37:43Speaker 11: like an injury, you know, on Sunday, like what do
- 37:46Speaker 11: you do now? It's it's Tyl Jennings show pretty much.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Yesterday, Paul and I revealed that on one of Paul's
- 37:52Speaker 3: shows they were confused as to when Drake May was picked.
- 37:56Speaker 3: Like on one of his shows, they said that kind
- 37:58Speaker 3: of the top five because they us that last game
- 38:01Speaker 3: last year and they didn't have the top pick overall,
- 38:04Speaker 3: they weren't able to pick.
- 38:06Speaker 1: They screwed up their high rounds.
- 38:07Speaker 3: Yeah, so Barton Poland said to the Caleb May discussion
- 38:12Speaker 3: from yesterday, we got May because we lost to the
- 38:14Speaker 3: Jets in the last game of that season. And to
- 38:17Speaker 3: that and to that game, a big portion of the
- 38:19Speaker 3: fan base was quietly and not quietly rooting for lost.
- 38:23Speaker 11: Me included that there was a lot I mean, there's
- 38:26Speaker 11: alkick Denver on Christmas was like what initially cost them
- 38:31Speaker 11: the number one pick in that draft and then they
- 38:34Speaker 11: like got Yeah, there's a lot of different things they
- 38:37Speaker 11: the Giants kick.
- 38:38Speaker 5: Obviously they had a chance to win that game at
- 38:39Speaker 5: the end and he missed that one. So there's a
- 38:42Speaker 5: lot of different like.
- 38:43Speaker 4: If you want to say thank god that they won
- 38:45Speaker 4: those games, like the Pittsburgh and Denver game that everybody
- 38:47Speaker 4: makes fun of down the stretch, you could say in retrospect,
- 38:51Speaker 4: you got the best quarterback, so thank god that they
- 38:55Speaker 4: won those games. And I gave you the third pick
- 38:57Speaker 4: because you may not have if you had the first pick.
- 38:59Speaker 4: Maybe you would have.
- 39:01Speaker 3: Right many however, including Febrar rooting for a win not
- 39:04Speaker 3: only because you always root for win, but because you
- 39:06Speaker 3: couldn't live with Bill's last game as our head coach
- 39:08Speaker 3: being a loss to the Jets, even if it costs
- 39:11Speaker 3: us a top three pick. Now I have a question.
- 39:15Speaker 3: I don't remember that. Now I have a question for
- 39:18Speaker 3: those people. Fred you can answer. Have you, at any
- 39:20Speaker 3: point since twenty twenty four, since January twenty twenty four,
- 39:24Speaker 3: thought about that game regretted not winning it, because I
- 39:27Speaker 3: haven't seen it mentioned once since then, would you swap
- 39:31Speaker 3: getting May for Bill winning his last game as our
- 39:34Speaker 3: head coach? I think I know the answer. I don't remember.
- 39:37Speaker 4: Winning on not winning that game did not have any
- 39:40Speaker 4: impact on you getting May or not. If you lost
- 39:43Speaker 4: the game, you were where you were, like, I mean,
- 39:47Speaker 4: what are we doing?
- 39:47Speaker 5: I think if they had lost the game, they might
- 39:49Speaker 5: have been second instead of third, but you would have
- 39:52Speaker 5: still been picking between Jayden Daniels and Drakes.
- 39:55Speaker 4: So if they won the game, where do they go?
- 39:56Speaker 4: They go fifth.
- 39:59Speaker 5: If they had won the game. Aim, Uh, I don't know, honestly, And.
- 40:03Speaker 4: I suppose there's an argument that Bart's making. He's probably right,
- 40:06Speaker 4: but probably has this right because I don't have the
- 40:08Speaker 4: whole draft in front of me. Maybe if they won,
- 40:12Speaker 4: one of the teams that picked after them would have
- 40:14Speaker 4: taken me.
- 40:15Speaker 5: Or jumped ahead of them.
- 40:16Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying, they would have jumped ahead of them,
- 40:18Speaker 4: and maybe.
- 40:19Speaker 3: Yeah, who knows, butterfly effect, You never know, you never know.
- 40:24Speaker 5: Well, he was definitely going in the top three, but
- 40:26Speaker 5: I don't know. I don't know exactly. I don't remember
- 40:28Speaker 5: because after the Patriots took three, I think it went
- 40:33Speaker 5: to six for the Giants. Right, Oh man, this is
- 40:36Speaker 5: a couple of drafts.
- 40:38Speaker 3: Never mind. Yeah, let's get back to the phone. Melvin's
- 40:41Speaker 3: in Tennessee. What's up, Melvin, How's going on.
- 40:45Speaker 6: I was just gonna say, it's great to just obviously
- 40:49Speaker 6: have like an offensive team we can win and score
- 40:53Speaker 6: as a big difference when you have a game of
- 40:56Speaker 6: a team that deep, the focus is hard. Like on
- 41:00Speaker 6: every game with like Intendas, it was just it's a
- 41:02Speaker 6: lot it's hard to do, and like policy is, I
- 41:05Speaker 6: think it's like it not really sustainable. And I think Cleveland,
- 41:09Speaker 6: I think about it was one of those teams recently.
- 41:11Speaker 6: They had like a defensive led team a couple of
- 41:14Speaker 6: years ago. Then the get Houston offed the floor with him.
- 41:17Speaker 6: I'll never forget that in the playoff game. So it's
- 41:19Speaker 6: still just hard to do. But with that being said,
- 41:23Speaker 6: I'm going to go twenty four Patriots. Cleveland say thirteen.
- 41:29Speaker 3: Twenty four to thirteen. Okay, okay, yeah, I can see that. Okay,
- 41:35Speaker 3: thanks Mervin. Sorry I missed you in Nashville.
- 41:38Speaker 6: A good lock stuff going off?
- 41:40Speaker 3: All right? I got Youah, he texted me. By that time,
- 41:42Speaker 3: pants were off. I was in bed, so oh when
- 41:47Speaker 3: you were in Nashville. Yeah, I'm sorry. I wasn't. I wasn't.
- 41:50Speaker 3: I wasn't about to go out.
- 41:52Speaker 4: I don't know what you're going to do on your time,
- 41:54Speaker 4: but each other you.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Up, you up, you up.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Eldred's in North Carolina? What's up? Eldred?
- 42:08Speaker 13: Hey?
- 42:08Speaker 9: Alan?
- 42:09Speaker 14: He's how you doing?
- 42:11Speaker 1: Belgian?
- 42:11Speaker 14: I'm gonna make this. I'm gonna try and make this quick,
- 42:14Speaker 14: Evan on which thanks soldier and oh pray, why are
- 42:19Speaker 14: y'all arguing because this is what we do years that
- 42:22Speaker 14: we went thirty. I know you wouldn't thirty have to
- 42:25Speaker 14: pick everybody else will be picked being garbage because in
- 42:29Speaker 14: the middle of laugh of the Witch cop and most
- 42:31Speaker 14: of them still ain't with the Kings, I ain't ain't
- 42:33Speaker 14: coming up with Graybell cut down on top. Before doing
- 42:37Speaker 14: the draft, you wouldn't have got made. If you were
- 42:40Speaker 14: drafted twenty eight, you wouldn't have got God.
- 42:44Speaker 4: We wouldn't.
- 42:47Speaker 5: It's a very chicken or the egg now that I'm really.
- 42:52Speaker 6: Okay.
- 42:52Speaker 15: But but what I'm saying is what I'm saying is.
- 42:55Speaker 14: You get the top guys at the top of the draft. Okay,
- 42:58Speaker 14: that's what we did for the.
- 43:02Speaker 5: I know, I know, But if you're drafted twenty eight down,
- 43:07Speaker 5: I know that we're just going to have to agree
- 43:09Speaker 5: to disagree.
- 43:10Speaker 1: But I think we all agree on the quarterback part
- 43:12Speaker 1: of the argument.
- 43:13Speaker 11: And I think we spent too much time over the
- 43:15Speaker 11: last couple of years analyzing how do the Patriots get
- 43:17Speaker 11: the next quarterback?
- 43:18Speaker 1: And all that.
- 43:19Speaker 11: Well, you had like little polls and research and all
- 43:21Speaker 11: kinds of stuff. And if you want a.
- 43:22Speaker 4: Great quarterback, I mean, in general, I'm one thousand percent
- 43:25Speaker 4: locks to me, the.
- 43:26Speaker 11: Bottom line, that's what you need to do and like
- 43:28Speaker 11: and I also here though you know, there's no set
- 43:31Speaker 11: way to do it. Like you know, you can't say, well,
- 43:33Speaker 11: we're going to get the four key positions and four consecutive.
- 43:37Speaker 11: You know, it worked out that way pretty well for
- 43:38Speaker 11: the Patriots, But I think that's kind of rare.
- 43:40Speaker 1: There's usually going to be a hole. You got to
- 43:42Speaker 1: try to figure out one of those important positions. And
- 43:45Speaker 1: you know, but I think we all agree on the quarterback.
- 43:47Speaker 11: That's where if you like you want sustained excellence and
- 43:49Speaker 11: you want to get a legit guy with all.
- 43:51Speaker 4: The taps quarterback, where you're going to end up picking
- 43:54Speaker 4: in the top five. Yeah, and once you do it,
- 43:58Speaker 4: you have to make sure you hit you know, you
- 44:00Speaker 4: know the Jets do it all the time, right, they
- 44:02Speaker 4: just don't seem to hit the quarterback. I mean, but
- 44:04Speaker 4: if you don't have the quarterback, I.
- 44:05Speaker 5: Just think we're in a chicken under of the egg
- 44:07Speaker 5: situation because like, in order to get to picking twenty
- 44:10Speaker 5: eighth in the draft, you had to have found the
- 44:12Speaker 5: quarterbacks at point, I don't know what it's a quarterback,
- 44:15Speaker 5: you probably needed to pick them in the top ten.
- 44:17Speaker 7: And that's why it's not black and white.
- 44:19Speaker 8: Right like the beginning of this whole debate, you guys
- 44:22Speaker 8: are once Evan's arguing black, you guys are arguing white,
- 44:25Speaker 8: and then you find the gray area in between. Because
- 44:27Speaker 8: there's thirty two teams and everything is so circumstantial every
- 44:31Speaker 8: single year that there's no way to.
- 44:33Speaker 7: Just replicate a process.
- 44:34Speaker 8: You can't just look at a roadmap and say we're
- 44:37Speaker 8: going to do it this way, because every circumstance is
- 44:39Speaker 8: so different.
- 44:39Speaker 5: I also think it's stealing.
- 44:43Speaker 4: Nuance to everything. And that's what Fred was saying. There's
- 44:46Speaker 4: a lot of different ways to do it, and I
- 44:47Speaker 4: would just just, you know, to put a bow on it.
- 44:50Speaker 4: I would just say that's why I don't think Washington's doomed.
- 44:53Speaker 4: I don't think they're doomed because I think they got
- 44:56Speaker 4: the part that's the hardest to get again, assuming he
- 44:59Speaker 4: stays healthy and now I don't think you need those
- 45:04Speaker 4: high high picks to get the other things that they
- 45:06Speaker 4: still need. The rosters obviously flawed, it's not a great.
- 45:09Speaker 5: I don't think they're doomed. I just think that what
- 45:13Speaker 5: I would say you're.
- 45:14Speaker 11: To have going a little run and cost themselves, right.
- 45:18Speaker 5: It just I look at Washington's roster now, and you
- 45:22Speaker 5: know they have tunsl a left tackle, so maybe they're
- 45:24Speaker 5: they'll figure that out. But like, can you even like
- 45:27Speaker 5: name like a star defensive player on that team, like Frankie,
- 45:32Speaker 5: I Like.
- 45:33Speaker 4: I don't know if they have a star. You know,
- 45:36Speaker 4: I don't think they have a guy as good as
- 45:37Speaker 4: Christian Gonzales.
- 45:38Speaker 5: But I mean, and once Terry McLaurin starts to age
- 45:41Speaker 5: out at the receiver position, they don't need to get
- 45:44Speaker 5: what's behind him is really really not great. So it
- 45:49Speaker 5: just those types of positions. You know, it might be
- 45:52Speaker 5: in a position to draft Jordan Tyson and fix the
- 45:54Speaker 5: receiver thing.
- 45:55Speaker 11: I think the Steelers are just the right example though,
- 45:58Speaker 11: of a team that just is always good enough to
- 46:01Speaker 11: not get that guy and you know what's not going quarterback?
- 46:03Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, they're always in the middle of the draft.
- 46:06Speaker 3: You can really come up with every scenario. You can
- 46:08Speaker 3: find a team, whether currently or in the you know,
- 46:12Speaker 3: near pass that fits that yeah criteria, like Dallas is
- 46:16Speaker 3: Pittsburgh is thing whatever? I mean, I mean, where do
- 46:19Speaker 3: you categorize Dallas. I mean, they've got the quarterback, they've
- 46:23Speaker 3: got everything at their disposal off and they just can't
- 46:26Speaker 3: get over that hump, you know, so like why do you.
- 46:29Speaker 4: That's a different argument, but it's another example of what
- 46:32Speaker 4: you're talking.
- 46:33Speaker 3: It's just like you can find examples to fit any argument.
- 46:37Speaker 4: Their problem isn't drafting, and their problem isn't the roster construction.
- 46:40Speaker 4: Their problem is the owner won't hire a coach that's
- 46:43Speaker 4: any good because you won't spend any money on it.
- 46:45Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean, I think we've had such an up
- 46:47Speaker 11: close look though, at the disparity in quarterbacks just between
- 46:50Speaker 11: you know, Drake May at third and Mac Jones and
- 46:53Speaker 11: talk about all the time. You could tell from day
- 46:55Speaker 11: one that Mac is going to be limited and no
- 46:58Speaker 11: matter what it looked like, sometimes he's going to struggle
- 47:01Speaker 11: to hit the deep out.
- 47:02Speaker 1: With, you know, on a frozen rope. And then you
- 47:04Speaker 1: get Drake May and you just see the physical.
- 47:07Speaker 11: Talent that a top five pick has, that he has
- 47:09Speaker 11: every tool in the toolbox, and that his first glance,
- 47:12Speaker 11: you're thinking, God, if this kild could ever put it
- 47:14Speaker 11: all together, and lo and behold, now we're kind of
- 47:16Speaker 11: actually seeing that come to fruition.
- 47:18Speaker 5: And nine times out of ten, the quarterback that can
- 47:20Speaker 5: hit the deep out on a frozen rope is drafted
- 47:22Speaker 5: in the top.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Any argument.
- 47:26Speaker 5: But you know, like when you start drafting the quarterbacks,
- 47:29Speaker 5: you know, fifteen twenty twenty five, that's Mac Jones, that's
- 47:32Speaker 5: can he Pickett? That's some accuracy like that those where
- 47:36Speaker 5: or it's like a Will Levis who has the physical
- 47:38Speaker 5: tools but doesn't have the accuracy, doesn't have it up here,
- 47:41Speaker 5: you know, like it's that's the way, that's what you're
- 47:44Speaker 5: picking from.
- 47:45Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean, and there's always going to be well
- 47:48Speaker 11: this random guy on day two, you know, like that's
- 47:50Speaker 11: always but you can't ever rely on that.
- 47:51Speaker 1: And I don't think it's ever a plan.
- 47:53Speaker 4: You know, it's not a plan, not a plan that
- 47:55Speaker 4: happens happen. If Jackson dart ends up being like the
- 47:58Speaker 4: next big thing, then you know, good for Brian Dable
- 48:02Speaker 4: and Joe Shane and they kind of lucked into it.
- 48:05Speaker 5: It's really rare, honestly that they wanted Drake May.
- 48:08Speaker 3: Yep.
- 48:09Speaker 5: It happens very rarely that there's that middle ground of
- 48:13Speaker 5: like the guy that was drafted like twentieth Like usually
- 48:16Speaker 5: it's either the top five or it's like Jalen Hurts
- 48:20Speaker 5: right and Jimmy g There's like not a whole lot
- 48:23Speaker 5: of in between. There of like a guy that was
- 48:25Speaker 5: drafted twenty third in the first round and ends up
- 48:28Speaker 5: being a franchise quarterback. It's either late or early, and
- 48:31Speaker 5: there's really, you know, not a lot in between.
- 48:34Speaker 3: Carlos salt Lake, First off, Paul, I just want to
- 48:37Speaker 3: say you only slightly hurt my feelings with your terse
- 48:39Speaker 3: response from the short question Fred read from my email
- 48:43Speaker 3: about Henderson's usage. I've mostly recovered anyway. My actual question
- 48:48Speaker 3: is for Evan on Chisholm's eight or nine offensive snaps
- 48:52Speaker 3: last game, what was his role out there? Was it
- 48:55Speaker 3: mostly motioned decoy or did he have any design routes
- 48:58Speaker 3: or blocking responsible abilities? And do you think they might
- 49:01Speaker 3: be building toward using him more on offense as the
- 49:04Speaker 3: season goes on.
- 49:06Speaker 5: Well, they used him in a lot of three receiver sets.
- 49:09Speaker 5: I mean he blocked mostly. He's on the field for
- 49:11Speaker 5: like eight or nine plays, and I think he blocked
- 49:13Speaker 5: on six of them, like so he's mostly used as
- 49:15Speaker 5: a blocker. I think he only ran two routes off
- 49:19Speaker 5: the top of my head. But a lot of it was,
- 49:22Speaker 5: you know, blocking was very able. WOU put it blocking force,
- 49:25Speaker 5: blocking safeties, blocking linebackers, play strength, you know, that sort
- 49:29Speaker 5: of thing. But they wanted to get three receivers on
- 49:32Speaker 5: the field and run out of eleven personnel because they
- 49:35Speaker 5: just liked that matchup against Tennessee's nickel package. So they
- 49:40Speaker 5: decided to go with Chisholm instead of going with Digs
- 49:44Speaker 5: or with Pop Douglas in that situation. So they went Booty, Chisholm,
- 49:50Speaker 5: Hollins and they've kind of I assume they felt like
- 49:53Speaker 5: those were their three best run blocking receivers and that
- 49:57Speaker 5: was like most of the packages that he was on
- 49:59Speaker 5: the field in so long way to say blocking, but
- 50:04Speaker 5: I thought he wanted a little bit more, so I tried.
- 50:08Speaker 1: It courteous of you.
- 50:09Speaker 5: You're a really good block on a duo run that
- 50:12Speaker 5: Remandre bounced to fourteen yards. You're a really good block there.
- 50:16Speaker 1: I pointed out to Paul when it was happening real time.
- 50:18Speaker 4: Yeah, make sure you saw it.
- 50:19Speaker 5: A really good job of like not I don't remember
- 50:21Speaker 5: that either. Once once Remandra once the ball bounced and
- 50:25Speaker 5: Remondre started to run by him, of letting go, because like,
- 50:28Speaker 5: if you don't and the defender just reaches like this,
- 50:30Speaker 5: you're gonna get called for holding. So it was a
- 50:33Speaker 5: really good block. There's your block talk.
- 50:36Speaker 3: Let's go to Jason in Connecticut. What's up Jason?
- 50:41Speaker 9: Hey, gentlemen, how are we doing today? So first of all,
- 50:46Speaker 9: I want to start with a little praise, because you
- 50:48Speaker 9: guys deserve it. I say this a few times, I've
- 50:51Speaker 9: called I've already said it, but Paul, you are my
- 50:53Speaker 9: absolute favorite force personality in the entire industry.
- 50:58Speaker 3: Personality.
- 51:00Speaker 4: Praise, Thank you.
- 51:03Speaker 1: Ja subscribed that go ahead.
- 51:05Speaker 4: It's one of the nicest things anyone's ever said to me.
- 51:08Speaker 9: And you know that. I think I've been listening for
- 51:10Speaker 9: about fifteen years and the show I think is the
- 51:12Speaker 9: best it's ever been. Juice Evan, you had so much
- 51:15Speaker 9: Fred you're a king maker, like You've put together just
- 51:18Speaker 9: the asked little best show.
- 51:21Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 51:22Speaker 5: So I have a couple of blown away by all
- 51:26Speaker 5: this praise.
- 51:27Speaker 10: Yeah, we're.
- 51:29Speaker 9: I I have a couple of questions that I think
- 51:32Speaker 9: Andy Hart would be asking right now if you know
- 51:34Speaker 9: a part of the show, and I'll take my answers
- 51:36Speaker 9: off air. But they're I think they're pretty reminiscent of
- 51:40Speaker 9: what he's saying back when he was a member of
- 51:42Speaker 9: the show. Worst question is is this a playoff team
- 51:47Speaker 9: or is it a team that will make the playoffs?
- 51:50Speaker 9: And my second ques will this season be a failure
- 51:56Speaker 9: if they don't win a playoff game? Pick my answer
- 52:00Speaker 9: at the air, thank you so much for everything you do.
- 52:03Speaker 4: Yeah, those are two questions that Andy would probably ask. Yeah,
- 52:06Speaker 4: I would say definitively, no, it's not a you make
- 52:09Speaker 4: the playoffs. And if you make the playoffs and lose
- 52:11Speaker 4: a game, I don't think it. I mean, it's disappointing, but.
- 52:15Speaker 11: Very disappointing, not a failure, especially if you're at home
- 52:17Speaker 11: and you magine, like, let's.
- 52:19Speaker 4: Just say, for arguments sake, you win the division and
- 52:22Speaker 4: you host the Pittsburgh at the audust how about the
- 52:26Speaker 4: surging Baltimore Ravens. Sure right, you're going to call that,
- 52:30Speaker 4: you know, a failure if you can't be a team
- 52:32Speaker 4: that was supposed to go to the super Bowl before
- 52:34Speaker 4: the season started but for a lot of different reasons
- 52:37Speaker 4: found themselves as the last wild card or whatever. You know, Yeah,
- 52:40Speaker 4: squeaked in not a failure. The first one I don't
- 52:43Speaker 4: think we have enough information on you. I mean before
- 52:45Speaker 4: a playoff team or a team that's going to make
- 52:47Speaker 4: the play.
- 52:47Speaker 11: I mean the way man is playing right now, I
- 52:49Speaker 11: would say that if he continues to play like that,
- 52:52Speaker 11: that should be a playoff team. You have an MVP
- 52:54Speaker 11: candidate playing at that kind of high level end.
- 52:56Speaker 4: But I need to see him play against other teams
- 52:59Speaker 4: before I can.
- 53:00Speaker 8: I think even if, even if they don't win a
- 53:02Speaker 8: playoff game. Though, like the beginning of this season, none
- 53:04Speaker 8: of us had any expectations, and we're like, a successful
- 53:07Speaker 8: season looks like a sizeable year two jump for Drake
- 53:10Speaker 8: May and I think we already.
- 53:11Speaker 3: You took the words out of my mouth before the season.
- 53:13Speaker 3: Before the season, I said, you know, people, we had
- 53:16Speaker 3: the discussion for you what would be a successful season?
- 53:19Speaker 3: I said, for me, you're competitive in games, and you
- 53:23Speaker 3: in Drake May is knowing you have the knowing you
- 53:26Speaker 3: have the guy.
- 53:27Speaker 4: But that can never change.
- 53:28Speaker 3: No, but that's what I said before the season.
- 53:30Speaker 5: No, No, but they're good at that.
- 53:32Speaker 4: And no, but I would agree with that.
- 53:34Speaker 3: But do you agree like.
- 53:36Speaker 5: I think that there is a lot to be said
- 53:39Speaker 5: for proof of concept of winning a playoff game, like
- 53:42Speaker 5: I keep on going back to it, but like if
- 53:43Speaker 5: they make the playoffs, like the mac Jones Patriots made
- 53:46Speaker 5: the playoffs, and then.
- 53:47Speaker 4: They get to be a disappointed and they get you know,
- 53:49Speaker 4: their doors boarding off of them in the wildcard round.
- 53:51Speaker 5: Maybe it's not forty seven to seventeen, but but they
- 53:54Speaker 5: weren't competitive, right, they didn't. They weren't ever going to
- 53:56Speaker 5: win the game. I do think that dad kind of
- 53:59Speaker 5: gets you into a position and of well, is this
- 54:01Speaker 5: who we are or where we actually a tend win team?
- 54:04Speaker 5: And like it are you.
- 54:05Speaker 3: See that season? I wouldn't consider a failure for this team.
- 54:08Speaker 5: It's not a failure. It's just it presents more uncertainty
- 54:12Speaker 5: going into the off season of like how good were
- 54:15Speaker 5: you really and like how far away are you really sure?
- 54:18Speaker 5: Versus if you want a playoffs way, I need.
- 54:21Speaker 4: To know more before I can answer the first question
- 54:23Speaker 4: the second question. I don't think there's any way we
- 54:25Speaker 4: could say failure.
- 54:27Speaker 5: No, not a failure. It's not a failure. It's just
- 54:30Speaker 5: you know, again going into next off season, like how
- 54:32Speaker 5: good do you feel about their roster and about not
- 54:35Speaker 5: necessarily about Vrabel, but about the.
- 54:37Speaker 11: Roster right, Like, how many times are the past couple
- 54:39Speaker 11: years when we went to seven teams in each conference,
- 54:41Speaker 11: do you feel like the seventh team is like this
- 54:43Speaker 11: is a flawed It's Steelers, like you know, the last
- 54:47Speaker 11: three years, they don't really have a chance. But you
- 54:50Speaker 11: know where we sit right now today And Paul, you
- 54:52Speaker 11: kind of rattled it off. Is there any team right
- 54:54Speaker 11: now that you'll be like, they don't have a chance
- 54:56Speaker 11: in the AC.
- 54:56Speaker 1: Like you know it, I'll put them up against anybody
- 54:59Speaker 1: and see you.
- 55:00Speaker 4: Yeah, today, but I definitely change my opinion on that.
- 55:03Speaker 4: Like Kansas City looks like they're going to be a
- 55:04Speaker 4: much different you know, in about a month than they
- 55:07Speaker 4: were the first month of the season.
- 55:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:08Speaker 11: Sure, And Buffalo starts surgery and you got to go
- 55:10Speaker 11: to Buffalo's that's all right.
- 55:13Speaker 3: We got to take a break. When we come back,
- 55:15Speaker 3: I won't be here, but I'll be back before picks.
- 55:18Speaker 3: Uh So, all right, yeah, taking a break.

- 57:28Speaker 1: Off the practice field. Appreciate it.
- 57:29Speaker 11: Look, you've been here a while, your sixth season. Now,
- 57:32Speaker 11: you've been through some ups and downs. Just what are
- 57:34Speaker 11: the vibes like right now? You guys are want four
- 57:35Speaker 11: games in a row. Seems like things are pretty positive.
- 57:38Speaker 3: Yeah, the vibes are good. Horror Mission.
- 57:40Speaker 13: You know, each week we're improving, looking at last week
- 57:43Speaker 13: and trying to improve on last week and just really
- 57:45Speaker 13: trying to be a better team. You know, as the
- 57:46Speaker 13: week's going, you know, we got to improve and put
- 57:48Speaker 13: better tape out there.
- 57:49Speaker 4: Yeah, what was the We had a good locker room
- 57:53Speaker 4: video after that Tennessee when I know that meant a
- 57:55Speaker 4: lot to Coach Rabels, and it seemed like it meant
- 57:58Speaker 4: a lot to you guys too, like the just the
- 58:00Speaker 4: reactions of the on the all the players faces.
- 58:02Speaker 3: What was that environment like for you?
- 58:04Speaker 13: Yeah, it was a great feeling. I think we all
- 58:08Speaker 13: just embodied that win. I' suly it was for coach
- 58:11Speaker 13: Rabel and it was where he was before, so I
- 58:13Speaker 13: mean we wanted that win badly, but also I mean
- 58:16Speaker 13: every week we want to wins, but that one specifically
- 58:18Speaker 13: for Coach Rabel.
- 58:20Speaker 11: Want to ask you a little bout your offensive line.
- 58:21Speaker 11: You got two new guys, two new vets next year.
- 58:23Speaker 11: Me Morgan Mos he's like the pied piper in the
- 58:26Speaker 11: locker room, cracking me up. You know, what has it
- 58:29Speaker 11: been like with those guys, both on the field and
- 58:31Speaker 11: off the field. And Garrett, Yeah, it's been very solid.
- 58:33Speaker 11: On the field.
- 58:34Speaker 13: I mean it's been great playing next to Garrett and
- 58:36Speaker 13: Mo both smart players, both great players in the locker room.
- 58:41Speaker 13: I mean, is it's you know, it's fun all around.
- 58:43Speaker 13: You know guys that's been around, older guys, but you
- 58:45Speaker 13: know they've seen a lot and you know we can
- 58:47Speaker 13: pass out about a lot and just have fun.
- 58:49Speaker 3: For the oil.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Is it.
- 58:50Speaker 11: I always felt like there's a little bit of a
- 58:51Speaker 11: period the beginning of the season. You need some time
- 58:53Speaker 11: for chemistry and kind of get to know each other
- 58:55Speaker 11: a little bit.
- 58:56Speaker 1: Is that Is that the case.
- 58:57Speaker 11: With like, you know guys like this now you played
- 58:58Speaker 11: you know, handful of games with them.
- 59:00Speaker 13: Yeah, I would say, I mean it's obviously you know,
- 59:03Speaker 13: as as an olne, you want to build that over time,
- 59:05Speaker 13: and you know before the season. I mean it comes
- 59:08Speaker 13: to spring, the summer and you know, working through camping
- 59:10Speaker 13: and all that. But you know it's been built up
- 59:12Speaker 13: and you know we've got a girt relationship everyone on
- 59:14Speaker 13: the line in a long room.
- 59:16Speaker 3: So it's it's been good.
- 59:17Speaker 4: So we talked to coach Vabel at this press conference.
- 59:20Speaker 4: All the time he talks to us about turning the
- 59:22Speaker 4: page after the Monday following the game. So it's Cleveland
- 59:24Speaker 4: this week and obviously some some big names up on
- 59:28Speaker 4: that defensive line. What's what's the process been like preparing
- 59:31Speaker 4: for that group this week.
- 59:32Speaker 13: Yeah, you know, they have a good line, they have
- 59:35Speaker 13: a good defense overall, So I mean it's you know,
- 59:37Speaker 13: for us as an O line, we're focused on our
- 59:39Speaker 13: guys and our matchups. Like you said, they have a
- 59:42Speaker 13: bunch of great players, so you know, we're just going
- 59:44Speaker 13: to do our thing, focused, game plan and get ready
- 59:46Speaker 13: for the game.
- 59:47Speaker 4: What have you seen from the rookie Mason Graham. I'm
- 59:50Speaker 4: just curious if you've got any interaction with him, you know,
- 59:53Speaker 4: from from Michigan.
- 59:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:55Speaker 13: Yeah, I went back a couple of times and we've spoken.
- 59:58Speaker 13: Always saw him and KG was a great player, you know,
- 1:00:01Speaker 13: coming out in the same year. I think he's going
- 1:00:03Speaker 13: to be a great player. But you know, to be
- 1:00:05Speaker 13: fun going against him.
- 1:00:06Speaker 11: Like, what do you I got to ask you about
- 1:00:07Speaker 11: Drake just he is on a heater right now. What's
- 1:00:09Speaker 11: it like for you as an offensive lineman You're blocking
- 1:00:12Speaker 11: for a player like that and you're you know, watching
- 1:00:13Speaker 11: the ball go down the field, scores all that.
- 1:00:15Speaker 13: Yeah, I'm trying not to watch the ball, but it's fun.
- 1:00:18Speaker 13: You know, you block and then you look back and
- 1:00:20Speaker 13: you see the ball going over your head and just
- 1:00:22Speaker 13: you know, scoring on those it's like last week, but
- 1:00:25Speaker 13: it's fun. It's you know, is he electric? Playing with
- 1:00:28Speaker 13: Drake and you know you just never know what he's
- 1:00:30Speaker 13: going to do.
- 1:00:30Speaker 11: Hasn't been an adjustment at all for you playing with
- 1:00:32Speaker 11: a mobile quarterback like that over the last couple of seasons.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: Not so much.
- 1:00:37Speaker 13: I try to keep like on the same spot and
- 1:00:39Speaker 13: just knowing where the quarterback is going to be at
- 1:00:41Speaker 13: least when he's throwing the ball. But you know, you
- 1:00:43Speaker 13: can't account for stuff like that, but just always trying
- 1:00:45Speaker 13: to stay on my guy and just make sure he
- 1:00:46Speaker 13: doesn't affect a quarterback.
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: I was exciting has it been for you guys? You know,
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: the last couple of years the offense has quite frankly struggled.
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: But this year, you guys are moving the ball virtually
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: every game. You're putting points on the board, and just
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: how rewarding has that been?
- 1:00:58Speaker 13: Part of it has been very just as an olon.
- 1:01:01Speaker 13: I mean, you know, it starts with us. So when
- 1:01:03Speaker 13: the plays work, you know, it's we're obviously doing a
- 1:01:05Speaker 13: good job. When they don't, you know, we got to
- 1:01:07Speaker 13: do a better job. So that's been our main focus
- 1:01:10Speaker 13: every game. Just focusing on on our jobs as olon,
- 1:01:13Speaker 13: creating lanes and creating space for rejected throw the ball.
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: And what do you remember, you know, like what has
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: it been like with Josh, you know, back running this offense,
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: and how has it been for you with the McDaniels.
- 1:01:24Speaker 13: Yeah, I was saying it's I mean, I'm not gonna
- 1:01:27Speaker 13: say it's the same Josh. You know, he's the same guy,
- 1:01:29Speaker 13: a great coach. So it's been fun getting back to
- 1:01:32Speaker 13: work with him. And I think he's been bringing new
- 1:01:35Speaker 13: things to the table this year, into the playbook this year,
- 1:01:37Speaker 13: which you know, as we've been seeing through the games.
- 1:01:40Speaker 13: I mean we've been having some chunk plays, some electric
- 1:01:42Speaker 13: plays and you know, just throw the ball down the field.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Wrap it up. You guys have been on the road
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: for three weeks. You're finally back home.
- 1:01:48Speaker 11: You know how important is it to get back home
- 1:01:50Speaker 11: and really establish this place as a home field event?
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: Is very important?
- 1:01:53Speaker 13: You know, it's uh we got to established one in
- 1:01:55Speaker 13: winning at home and uh, making teams feel that when
- 1:01:58Speaker 13: they come into.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Our home Awesome, thanks, mine, appreciate it.

- 1:03:07Speaker 19: Draft Kings is all about responsible gaming. It's more fun
- 1:03:10Speaker 19: when it's for fun, so played responsibly.
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: Draft Kings the Crown is yours gambling problem.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Twenty one plus. Agent eligibility varies by jurisdiction.
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: And now great moments in.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: History.
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: Does that make any sense? I think the Patriots almost
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: stole one. They were in position to steal the game.
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: They're on the twenty five yard line, up three with
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: five minutes. You've got to put that game. Well, I
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: would say that they were better.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: But when you dropped the ball five six times, does
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: that make you the better team?
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: Yeah, it means you were better. You just you just
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: didn't execute.
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: So when you drop the ball makes you better? Yeah?
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: They were they. I mean, these guys just told you
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: how open these guys were. You were lucky, you know.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: But if you drop the ball, you dropped the ball.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: That's that's a lack of execution.
- 1:03:57Speaker 5: Right, he would have found four hundred.
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: If you're better talented than the other team, Yes, you
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: did what you wanted to do, more than they did
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: what they.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: Wanted to do. I think they wanted to catch the ball.
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: Did you ever see anybody so maddening as this?
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: Like, right, I know they wanted to make the field
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: goal to Fred, but the other guy blocked it. That's
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: a bad that's bad execution exactly, right, So what like
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: what are we doing?
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: That's another great moment.
- 1:04:25Speaker 11: All right, welcome back, and yes, the malcontents Fred Kersh
- 1:04:28Speaker 11: and Evan Lazar have left the show briefly, so we'll
- 1:04:31Speaker 11: have a little bit of piece here before picks.
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: When I ever thought that I would remain on the
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: set and somehow piece has been restored.
- 1:04:39Speaker 11: I think my favorite part was when Paul would just
- 1:04:41Speaker 11: like to remind us, like I can play both sides,
- 1:04:43Speaker 11: like I could, I could.
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: Go the.
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: No, when Fred started saying you don't have to take
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: the quarterback or.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Had an easy start to the show, We're just hang out.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: That was fun.
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: Evan very Fos was like the great uniter.
- 1:05:02Speaker 8: She was like, you guys yourselves yourselves without even realizing
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: it started with you being like, well, friend, Chill, I'm
- 1:05:11Speaker 8: not going.
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: I mean not doing the whole.
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: You don't need to take the quarterback in the first time.
- 1:05:16Speaker 11: Maybe I need your advice all because sometimes I feel
- 1:05:18Speaker 11: like it said, when you're on the outside of an
- 1:05:20Speaker 11: argument and you don't really feel like you're in it,
- 1:05:22Speaker 11: and then like is it annoying? Then with somebody from
- 1:05:24Speaker 11: the outside just comes in and it's like starts jumping
- 1:05:27Speaker 11: in with.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: You know, their take, and it's like you're not even
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: in the argument.
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: So you were listening and you were staying on the outside,
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: and I was sort of on the outside. But every
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: once in a while I would interject, Now, was it annoying? No?
- 1:05:40Speaker 11: No, no, But but I felt like I would have
- 1:05:42Speaker 11: been with you and Fred and I, you know, and
- 1:05:43Speaker 11: I felt Evan was kind of like, you know, that was.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: I didn't want to be. I kind of agree with you.
- 1:05:50Speaker 8: Changed, Like I feel like we know Evan well enough
- 1:05:54Speaker 8: to know that, like when he's in.
- 1:05:55Speaker 7: That certain tone, he's serious. Oh man, he just he
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: just took that octople.
- 1:06:00Speaker 11: I would just say, I think Evan adores football and
- 1:06:03Speaker 11: like the amount that he thinks about it and studies
- 1:06:07Speaker 11: it and.
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: And I just think that's part of it, is because
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: he studies so much of the tape and the film
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: and you know, the draft picks. Like he's enamored with
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: the draft picks. You know, like it's always about what
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: you know, what potential might be around the corner. And
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: I think that's the way he looks at it.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: But I think we found some common ground. I think
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: we I think we put it behind us, but you
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: never know.
- 1:06:32Speaker 11: We'll see how things go next Tuesday when we get
- 1:06:35Speaker 11: back into it after the week. But let's so to
- 1:06:37Speaker 11: the phones here, guys, so to bang this out before
- 1:06:40Speaker 11: we got got picks, right, I'm kind of excited about
- 1:06:42Speaker 11: let's go to I think it's Michael in Michigan.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: Hey, Michael, could also be Michelle.
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: Michael Michelle, good job, Duce felling Bread doesn't drop calls
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: somebody with my own name.
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: It's definitely Michael.
- 1:06:57Speaker 11: Oh, Michael, it's ae l a a right, let's go
- 1:07:01Speaker 11: about boat.
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: Not if it's Michael ray Rage.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: It's easy Bo South Carolina.
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: Hey Bo, Yeah, good job, Duce.
- 1:07:09Speaker 7: Do you think they heard way for a second, they heard.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: My voice and they're like, no, Fred's not there.
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: I don't want to deal with this.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: All right, We're going right down the line. Eric Lunenberg,
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: come on, Eric, come through for me.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: Eric.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: No, oh for three?
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: Duce ouch ouch.
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: That really is what you push away from the Blackjack kid.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I know I'm not winning today.
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: That's my that's my rule. I'm gonna jump over. You're out.
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, call back if you really want to
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: talk to us. I'll be back soon. Uh got one
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: from Jack, he says.
- 1:07:43Speaker 11: My question, how can we get Trevion going against the
- 1:07:46Speaker 11: Browns this week will be an interesting matchup seeing his
- 1:07:48Speaker 11: college teammate Judkins on the other side. Man he thought
- 1:07:50Speaker 11: Henderson was the better prospect in the pre draft process.
- 1:07:53Speaker 11: It mirrors the Chubb Michell debate almost identically. Let's hope
- 1:07:57Speaker 11: you end up on the better side this time around.
- 1:08:00Speaker 11: What do you think about that comparison, PAULI.
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: I think it's similar. Yeah, yeah, you know, two teammates,
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: different styles. Judkins was more of the traditional between the tackles,
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: you know, lead back type, you know, early down type,
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: and Henderson was a little bit more of a you know,
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: kind of a third down, well rounded home run hitter,
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: you know, get him on the edges, kind of similar
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: to the way we felt about Chubb in Michelle. Now,
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: what we didn't know about Michelle at the time was
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: the injuries that he came into the league with, how
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: bad his knee was when he was drafted. So I
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: don't think he was ever quite as dynamic as we
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: were led to be. Henderson is. We saw, We saw
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: the explosiveness in the summer, so hopefully there's still And
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: I agree, I think there's a chance that maybe, you know,
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: Cleveland is a really tough run defense, So maybe the
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: way you try to run the ball is a little
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: bit differently. Maybe it's you know, some draws out of
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: the Spring had some you know, get to get to the.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: Edges, use their aggressiveness against.
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: Correct you know. I think if you want to line
- 1:09:06Speaker 4: up and just run, you know, Bill Belichick used to
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: say all the time, if you want to line up
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: and run your head into the into a brick wall,
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: you know that, you know what I remember, like the
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: famous Minnesota Monday Night game back on April five, six
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: ish Gabriel game. You know, it's like they got Pat
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: Williams and Kevin Williams and the inside and no one
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: could run for a yard. And I think that they
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: ran Corey Dillon on the first down of the game
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: and he got nothing, and they just fifty times by
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: design that's how they wanted to do it.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: I like that.
- 1:09:37Speaker 11: And then I talked a little bit with that on
- 1:09:38Speaker 11: the preview just maybe you know, screen game getting him
- 1:09:41Speaker 11: out in space a little bit. I think everybody would
- 1:09:43Speaker 11: like to see that. But Judkins has been pretty good.
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: I mean, Judkins has been powerful, and he's like, to me,
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: more reminiscent of Nick Chubby, you know who.
- 1:09:52Speaker 11: Like the wheels just fall off the bus with these guys,
- 1:09:55Speaker 11: does that make sense?
- 1:09:55Speaker 4: Well, he also had a major injured.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Yeah, what was that one?
- 1:09:58Speaker 4: Blew out his knee, then whole knee, the whole knee.
- 1:10:05Speaker 11: David writes in just honestly, I love watching you all.
- 1:10:08Speaker 11: It's like watching family get together for the holidays every week,
- 1:10:10Speaker 11: nothing but arguing it between. However, the analysis are The
- 1:10:13Speaker 11: analyses are fantastic, The people of analyzes very educational.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Thank you for that. In addition, Happy belated birthday to Alex.
- 1:10:21Speaker 11: I turned thirty one before Alex was born, and life
- 1:10:24Speaker 11: continues to be fantastic. Keep it going, life, goods, good year.
- 1:10:27Speaker 11: That life doesn't end after thirty Alex.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Don't worry.
- 1:10:30Speaker 11: And I think you saw this email, Alex. Someone sent
- 1:10:32Speaker 11: in their wedding cake. This Morgan from South Dakota. We
- 1:10:37Speaker 11: alady got married and had a Patriots theme wedding cake.
- 1:10:39Speaker 11: Here's a picture of fantasy question should I start Drake
- 1:10:41Speaker 11: versus Cleveland or Baker versus New Orleans Drake? Also, what
- 1:10:45Speaker 11: do you think about the fourth, fourth, and fifteenth possibility
- 1:10:48Speaker 11: replacing the onside kick?
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: We talked a little about that.
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: Yes, I don't love it.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: I don't love it either.
- 1:10:53Speaker 7: Subscribe to the newsletter to see that wedding cake.
- 1:10:56Speaker 11: Yeah, did you have any Patriots stuff at your wedding call?
- 1:10:58Speaker 11: I know you were working, so that's probably bringing work.
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: Patriots the wedding.
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: No.
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: The only thing I had is our entrance music was
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: crazy train okay when the wedding party got okay.
- 1:11:11Speaker 8: Yeah, Like if Evan had a bigger wedding, he would
- 1:11:13Speaker 8: have something.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: It would have been like an all twenty two thing.
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: But I didn't have anything in terms of likeation.
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: What was it garter? Yeah, he garter. That was the
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: little Patriots thing. So you know the tradition were you
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: take the garter off there? It was the Patriots.
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: I didn't do that.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: I didn't do that tradition. Did they still do that tradition?
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: For sure?
- 1:11:34Speaker 7: I haven't. None of my friends have had it, and
- 1:11:36Speaker 7: god knows i've been to.
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, but we didn't do the whole god thing.
- 1:11:42Speaker 7: Yeah, even the bouquet. You don't see as much. I
- 1:11:44Speaker 7: like the bouquet.
- 1:11:45Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, she she threw it from like up top too.
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: It was like it was like a salcony and she
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: threw it.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: I think in any of those situations, though, there were
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: at least two girls who really want it. They really
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: want it bad.
- 1:11:58Speaker 4: Which always amazes me because this no guys. I've seen
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: guys literally go up. Then I've I've been one of them,
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: like hands and pockets that this thing is the only
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: way I could possibly get is if it sticks to me.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: The girls are like getting ready to elbow each other.
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: And I did have a girlfriend that caught the bouquet one.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: Double faced palm on that one, and then you broke
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: up with her not long after.
- 1:12:25Speaker 4: All right, I'm not saying that was or wasn't the reason.
- 1:12:28Speaker 11: But it was like, I gotta cut this loose, go
- 1:12:32Speaker 11: back to the phones. Of course, Patty, always great to
- 1:12:35Speaker 11: hear from you on a non game day. How are
- 1:12:37Speaker 11: things during the week for you.
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: Terrible?
- 1:12:45Speaker 15: So I'll just say a couple of things scare me
- 1:12:47Speaker 15: in this game. Number one is Miles heard obviously Hall
- 1:12:50Speaker 15: the same player, And I think the tit ands are
- 1:12:54Speaker 15: pretty good, like Sannon is quietly having a good rookie season,
- 1:12:58Speaker 15: and of course and Jokos as a decent player. And
- 1:13:01Speaker 15: that's what we've seen that we've we've struggled against all
- 1:13:04Speaker 15: a year long. Is covering the middle of the field.
- 1:13:06Speaker 15: So just a couple of things that I worry about,
- 1:13:09Speaker 15: But I don't think it's going to be enough those
- 1:13:11Speaker 15: two variables. Fella, Cleveland win. I got our pass win
- 1:13:16Speaker 15: in this week, twenty seven to ten.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: Yeah, that's nice, Patty. It's kind of where I'm at too.
- 1:13:22Speaker 11: But I'd just love to see the defense choke out
- 1:13:25Speaker 11: a bad offense from minute one to minute sixty.
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: That's my biggest thing. I know everybody is looking to
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: see what the offense looks like against the good defense.
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: I just think offenses generally move the ball when they're
- 1:13:37Speaker 4: good offenses. I'm more curious to see if they can
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: take one of these bad offenses and make them look
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: like a bad offense.
- 1:13:44Speaker 11: Yeah, right out of the gate, right out of the game,
- 1:13:47Speaker 11: don't give just you know, ten for ten, first drive
- 1:13:49Speaker 11: right down the field, didn't even face a third down.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: I'm over those. Go out to Cali. Hate Tim, what's
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: going on?
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: Everybody?
- 1:13:59Speaker 10: Happy delated birthday there, Alex. Give you some hope at
- 1:14:05Speaker 10: the age of thirty four. I actually moved to Austraia
- 1:14:08Speaker 10: for a couple of years, so you're not dead yet.
- 1:14:15Speaker 10: But the reason I was Colin was. I was scurious, Paul,
- 1:14:18Speaker 10: if you do get to talk to Logan or like
- 1:14:21Speaker 10: any of the former O linemen like David Andrews, like,
- 1:14:26Speaker 10: I think, curious to get their take on Garrett Wilson
- 1:14:30Speaker 10: and also Marcus Bryant's development, because I think a lot
- 1:14:34Speaker 10: of the nuanced Alex pointed out, you know, see the
- 1:14:37Speaker 10: draft person you know, free agency things is player development,
- 1:14:42Speaker 10: and I think those two are very young people who
- 1:14:45Speaker 10: have a great upside with their athletic ability. And I'd
- 1:14:49Speaker 10: love to hear what you know some of those guys
- 1:14:52Speaker 10: opinions are on the development of the O line.
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: And Will Campbell yeah, yeah.
- 1:14:57Speaker 10: And well I think will personality mirror Logan's a lot.
- 1:15:02Speaker 10: I remember reading an article when they drafted Logan Mankins
- 1:15:05Speaker 10: out of Present of the State. Yeah, he was to
- 1:15:08Speaker 10: step on people in college.
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: Well just very soft spoken, quiet guys, but intense. Yeah,
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: I mean I could I see, I see you comp
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: there in terms of their personalities. Now, I think, actually.
- 1:15:22Speaker 10: When when when he when he gets interviewed, he's very
- 1:15:26Speaker 10: thoughtful in all of that. I haven't heard any really
- 1:15:28Speaker 10: thing from Marcus Bryant yet, but I would be curious
- 1:15:31Speaker 10: on your take on those guys.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: In the Futuressim.
- 1:15:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean we do get a chance every once
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: in a while to see David Andrews. He was in
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: the last home game, he was in the office. I
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: think it's also a little bit tough for those guys.
- 1:15:47Speaker 4: I mean, they just especially Andrews, he just came out
- 1:15:50Speaker 4: of that locker room, you know, so I don't ye
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: not telling you. He's not telling you what he really thinks.
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: But I'm not sure he's telling you what he really thinks.
- 1:15:59Speaker 11: It's just so funny to go to see these guys
- 1:16:02Speaker 11: go from the locker room and being a player, and
- 1:16:05Speaker 11: you feel, you know, there's kind of like a dividing line,
- 1:16:07Speaker 11: and you don't really know how these guys view us
- 1:16:10Speaker 11: and the media generally and what we do. And then
- 1:16:12Speaker 11: all of a sudden their career ends and they're right
- 1:16:14Speaker 11: in it with us and doing the same kind of analysis,
- 1:16:16Speaker 11: and you know, it's just asking the same questions and
- 1:16:19Speaker 11: you know.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: Tweet hey Patriots fans, what are you thinking about? I'm like,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: this is just bizarre, Like, you know, you were in.
- 1:16:23Speaker 11: The locker room, you know, actually on the team not
- 1:16:25Speaker 11: too long ago, and now you know, here we are
- 1:16:27Speaker 11: all covering this sport.
- 1:16:30Speaker 8: And he's doing it with a former teammate, which is
- 1:16:32Speaker 8: even funnier too, because horror is a little more removed.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: But still, yeah, I mean this, that's another part of it.
- 1:16:39Speaker 11: That like when if your team gets good, it's like
- 1:16:40Speaker 11: it's not only good for the good players, it's good
- 1:16:42Speaker 11: for guys like bot Zolac and Brian Hoyer and you
- 1:16:46Speaker 11: know guys who just you know Brian Hoyer maybe you
- 1:16:48Speaker 11: know he's known in Cleveland a little bit, but you know,
- 1:16:50Speaker 11: these guys become known names around here.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: David Andrews.
- 1:16:53Speaker 11: Everybody knows and loves David Andrews, and it's an easy,
- 1:16:55Speaker 11: you know, transition, especially in Boston. I don't know if
- 1:16:57Speaker 11: that happens everywhere. I would guess to some extent, but
- 1:16:59Speaker 11: I don't local.
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: Stuff I think is there's a lot. I mean, if
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: you listen to like the radio broadcast, almost all of
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: them have a former players the color analyst. But what
- 1:17:09Speaker 4: the Patriots did was to so many you know, Rodney Harrison,
- 1:17:14Speaker 4: Teddy Bruski, Uh, you know Gronk Uh, Gronk Edelman.
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: You know, they become national guys.
- 1:17:23Speaker 4: You know, the mccordy Twins, like because of their ties
- 1:17:26Speaker 4: to the Patriots, I think, you know, their popularity around
- 1:17:31Speaker 4: the league is pretty evan. I mean Keith Evans. Heith
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: Evans was on NFL Network for a while. Willie McGinnis,
- 1:17:37Speaker 4: you know these guys. I don't think that just every
- 1:17:40Speaker 4: team gets all of those, but I think when you win,
- 1:17:43Speaker 4: like the Patriots did for twenty years, those names become household,
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: household names, and they get opportunities.
- 1:17:51Speaker 7: Especially if you're talented, like I think the excellent.
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: And I say that unbiased.
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: I think I'm not sure which one, but one of
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: them is better than the other one. Wow, So I'm
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: not sure it might be Jason, because they do different.
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: Jason makes fun of Devon all the time by saying
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: that he's better he's on the network, and Devin's more
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: of a studio guy. So like that.
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: They're funny.
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: They're in the studio guys. Set up to New Hampshire. Hey, justin,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: thanks for calling in, Maria Taylor, Justin London, Barrison London Berry, damn,
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: so much was about to go off the rails. Here
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: we go, here, here she comes the Nico.
- 1:18:44Speaker 7: I need to take a picture of this.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: Hello, the Nico what's up?
- 1:18:49Speaker 10: Hello the guys.
- 1:18:50Speaker 12: I actually just wanted to jump on quickly to which
- 1:18:52Speaker 12: my best friend Alex a happy belated birthday.
- 1:18:56Speaker 7: Thanks Nico, love you.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: Thanks Nico. Any any questions about the Patriots.
- 1:19:02Speaker 7: Are you sad you're not still here now that we're winning?
- 1:19:08Speaker 9: No, because I'm going to Florida right now, so I'm
- 1:19:10Speaker 9: living the life.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: Oh all right, Nico. Well, thanks for Colin.
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I miss you guys.
- 1:19:18Speaker 10: Hopefully I'll see you soon.
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: All right, Nico. Thanks bye.
- 1:19:22Speaker 7: I talk to her every day.
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: She still calls it pice for she kicking in on
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: you know. Uh. Email here from Christian from Virginia.
- 1:19:30Speaker 11: Kick returns are looking a bit flat with Chisholm, and
- 1:19:33Speaker 11: I'm wondering why we don't have Travon Henderson back there.
- 1:19:35Speaker 11: I understand we don't want to risk losing more running
- 1:19:37Speaker 11: back depth, but he's not getting in any offensive touches.
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: We drafted him with a high second round pick.
- 1:19:42Speaker 11: We need to get him on the field, and if
- 1:19:43Speaker 11: they don't like him at running back right now, they
- 1:19:45Speaker 11: might as well have him returning kicks. I definitely don't
- 1:19:49Speaker 11: don't disagree about the kick returns being a little flat.
- 1:19:51Speaker 8: But I do disagree with like getting him on the field,
- 1:19:53Speaker 8: because I think he's been on the field.
- 1:19:55Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Like last week, it was definitely pulled
- 1:19:59Speaker 11: back that I think Brabel said we felt like Romandre
- 1:20:03Speaker 11: was rolling a little bit and we kind of wanted
- 1:20:05Speaker 11: to stick with him. But we've talked about a plenty now.
- 1:20:08Speaker 11: They just it's gonna be hard to get through the
- 1:20:09Speaker 11: rest of the season. Just Romandra Stevenson a sprinkling of
- 1:20:13Speaker 11: Travon Henderson when you absolutely have to hopefully he improves
- 1:20:16Speaker 11: it again. I just keep going back to James White,
- 1:20:19Speaker 11: and you know, as much as this kid was billed
- 1:20:21Speaker 11: as he's coming ready to pass protect.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: In the NFL, it's there's been a learning carve for him.
- 1:20:26Speaker 11: And Evans talked about how complicated it is, so you know,
- 1:20:29Speaker 11: I just I think we need a little bit of
- 1:20:31Speaker 11: patience with him. I still have a lot of confidence that,
- 1:20:34Speaker 11: you know, James White was nowhere close to what James
- 1:20:36Speaker 11: White was, you know, in twenty fifteen, and then the
- 1:20:39Speaker 11: year later he's scoring multiple times in the Super Bowl.
- 1:20:41Speaker 11: So I get it though, and I think they I mean,
- 1:20:44Speaker 11: and this is a great example of how it hurts
- 1:20:47Speaker 11: when you lost Antonio Gibson and not only hurt the
- 1:20:50Speaker 11: running back depth, but now you've got to protect Henderson
- 1:20:53Speaker 11: a little bit, and it kills both your lead kickoff returners.
- 1:20:56Speaker 11: So I get the idea, but they got to find
- 1:20:59Speaker 11: a way, find a way to get both those.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: Positions back up and running at a plus level.
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: Plus plus, let's plus, we're gonna plus it up a
- 1:21:07Speaker 4: little bit.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: Do you want to listener on?
- 1:21:08Speaker 11: Listener Crime from Cody Cody and Indiana. Hey, guys, so
- 1:21:12Speaker 11: Captain Moron in La starts off his call saying, you
- 1:21:15Speaker 11: have to draft in the top half for three years
- 1:21:17Speaker 11: to build a team.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: So Rabes, here's the plan.
- 1:21:19Speaker 11: I need you to lose the rest of the games
- 1:21:21Speaker 11: this year and then lose about ten or eleven next year,
- 1:21:23Speaker 11: and then do that again in twenty twenty seven.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: That is the only way we can be a good team.
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: Good Lord, I swear this.
- 1:21:29Speaker 4: I says, ass hat I wouldn't.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: Okay, I didn't. Is just trolling. Hang up the phone sooner, Fred,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: that's from Cody and Indiana. So Director's thoughts to him, Christian.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: But yeah, I think you know we all yeah, I
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: mean we all get it.
- 1:21:44Speaker 4: I think we've exhausted that one right, Hey, Eddie and
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: LA's got a good one.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: You'll like, Paul, I have a trade idea tight end Isaiah.
- 1:21:52Speaker 3: Likely ever time.
- 1:21:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't see that happening.
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: They're not going to unload one of their young.
- 1:21:59Speaker 4: I was gonna say they might unload Mark Kansas right.
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: But again, I think there's a an element of whistling
- 1:22:08Speaker 4: past the graveyard among the AFC teams. Like Baltimore is dead.
- 1:22:14Speaker 4: I just you got to kill that team before I
- 1:22:17Speaker 4: you know, I'm talking about They're eliminated from postseason contention. Dead,
- 1:22:22Speaker 4: Like do you think it would be out of the
- 1:22:24Speaker 4: remo possibility that they could like win eight of the
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: next ten.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: No. In some ways, I feel like this is the adversity.
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: Maybe they finally need to like split that switch. And
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: but if you had to.
- 1:22:33Speaker 11: Bet right now between Buffalo, Baltimore and Kansas City, who
- 1:22:36Speaker 11: would you say your money will be on to go
- 1:22:37Speaker 11: to farthest.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: In the playoffs?
- 1:22:43Speaker 7: Buffalo for me?
- 1:22:44Speaker 4: Buffalo, I think, But right now Kansas City has played
- 1:22:48Speaker 4: the best.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: Kansas City.
- 1:22:49Speaker 4: I think Kansas City is still a little a little flawed.
- 1:22:52Speaker 4: But if you're asking me if Buffalo and Kansas City
- 1:22:56Speaker 4: are playing in the AFC Championship Game. I'll take Kansas
- 1:22:58Speaker 4: City into otherwise.
- 1:23:00Speaker 11: I know it was Paul, You'll you'll have good perspective
- 1:23:02Speaker 11: on this because I feel like with Kansas City the
- 1:23:05Speaker 11: last few years, there's been like moments where people feel
- 1:23:09Speaker 11: they can bury them a little bit. There have been
- 1:23:10Speaker 11: injuries or there's just you know, they've had a you know,
- 1:23:12Speaker 11: this year a great example, they had a you know,
- 1:23:14Speaker 11: bad record start. But yeah, I don't think they started
- 1:23:16Speaker 11: great the last two years. Maybe I'm wrong on that
- 1:23:18Speaker 11: last show they went Okay, that's not not But wasn't
- 1:23:22Speaker 11: there like a feeling of like they.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: Won a bunch of one win games, one score games.
- 1:23:26Speaker 11: And like they were kind of winning Like were the
- 1:23:28Speaker 11: Patriots always like that? Like were the Patriots every year
- 1:23:31Speaker 11: when they were you know, kicking everybody's butt? Did it
- 1:23:32Speaker 11: come in like this is the year to get the Patriots?
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: Like I don't really.
- 1:23:35Speaker 11: Remember them really having I mean maybe because I wasn't
- 1:23:38Speaker 11: like in it, like you guys, they.
- 1:23:40Speaker 4: Had years that weren't as good as others, and some
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: of them ended up with Super Bowls and some of
- 1:23:43Speaker 4: them didn't, you know, like I thought there were there
- 1:23:47Speaker 4: were times where they looked vulnerable, like you know, five
- 1:23:50Speaker 4: oh six, you know, oh, I saw real flaws.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: Oh nins ten to eleven had real flaws, you.
- 1:23:56Speaker 4: Know, yeah, you know, and fourteen people were openly wondering
- 1:24:01Speaker 4: nationwide if they were any good anymore. Trent Dilfer, you know,
- 1:24:05Speaker 4: they're not good anymore. And then the two and two
- 1:24:08Speaker 4: and yeah, don't go on and win the super Like.
- 1:24:11Speaker 11: I just I'm wondering if this stuff is real or
- 1:24:13Speaker 11: if this is kind of created by us because you're
- 1:24:15Speaker 11: just kind of sick of the Chiefs winning and everybody
- 1:24:17Speaker 11: wants it to be like, well, what's who's the next Dyne?
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: Is he going to be?
- 1:24:20Speaker 11: And I think we've seen over the course with many
- 1:24:23Speaker 11: different sports that people get sick of the same team
- 1:24:25Speaker 11: winning over and over.
- 1:24:26Speaker 4: And I agree with that, and I just would say
- 1:24:30Speaker 4: it's real that there's some vulnerability. Like when people were
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: wondering if the Patriots were quite as good, you know,
- 1:24:37Speaker 4: as they had been in the past. They weren't wrong.
- 1:24:41Speaker 4: What they underestimate is sort of that culture that comes
- 1:24:44Speaker 4: with it. This is why I think your boy Kyle Brandt,
- 1:24:49Speaker 4: Kyle Brandt, right, Yeah, he had a whole rant two
- 1:24:53Speaker 4: weeks ago when Kansas City was playing Detroit. Bury them. Now,
- 1:24:59Speaker 4: step in their throat, don't let them breathe, don't give
- 1:25:03Speaker 4: them life. Now's your chance. The rest of the league
- 1:25:06Speaker 4: has Kansas City on the ropes. Yeah, put them out
- 1:25:10Speaker 4: of their misery. Otherwise. Now, all of a sudden, two
- 1:25:14Speaker 4: weeks later, people are looking at Kansas City as the
- 1:25:16Speaker 4: team to beat in the AOC. They could have been
- 1:25:19Speaker 4: two and four. Now. I would not have buried them
- 1:25:22Speaker 4: at two and four either, but I understand what what
- 1:25:24Speaker 4: Kyle's yeah, you know, point was, you have a chance
- 1:25:27Speaker 4: to make it, make them have to go the long way,
- 1:25:30Speaker 4: you know, maybe make them a wild card. Now, would
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: you be surprised that they end up winning the division?
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: Absolutely not.
- 1:25:36Speaker 11: With San Diego Los Angeles banged up. I mean they're
- 1:25:40Speaker 11: floundering a little bit, all right. Hopefully we get Fred
- 1:25:44Speaker 11: back soon so we can do picks.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: We gotta hurry. Hey Kendall, what's going on?
- 1:25:49Speaker 6: Hey, what's going on?
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: Guys?
- 1:25:50Speaker 4: Hey Kendall?
- 1:25:51Speaker 9: Hey, I appreciate you shirts?
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: Nice?
- 1:25:57Speaker 4: Yeah, he got his, he got his shirt, actually got him.
- 1:25:59Speaker 4: Email me and let me know that. Yeah, I'm glad.
- 1:26:01Speaker 4: I'm glad Matt got them out.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: To you, good job Matt learned how.
- 1:26:04Speaker 6: To millstone and also on what games down the streets
- 1:26:10Speaker 6: and I'll take it off, thank you.
- 1:26:11Speaker 4: What games down the stretch? Could we see what split?
- 1:26:18Speaker 5: Let's just pretend that's what it was.
- 1:26:19Speaker 7: We hung up.
- 1:26:21Speaker 3: Should we see them slipping up losing?
- 1:26:24Speaker 5: Yeah? Yeah, yeah.
- 1:26:25Speaker 11: I mean I have a hard time talking myself into
- 1:26:29Speaker 11: the Jets in Miami. I know, you're like, they could
- 1:26:31Speaker 11: go those three are are still on the table with
- 1:26:33Speaker 11: those three to me kind of feel like you really
- 1:26:35Speaker 11: got to have.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: To lay an egg in those ones.
- 1:26:37Speaker 4: I think that they could lose one of the games
- 1:26:39Speaker 4: to the Jets. I don't see them losing at home
- 1:26:40Speaker 4: to Miami. The Giants game, I think could be a
- 1:26:45Speaker 4: oh thank you, sneaky, tough game.
- 1:26:48Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:26:48Speaker 4: I like to see how Yeah, I want to see
- 1:26:50Speaker 4: how the Giants respond to their collapse sometimes, you know,
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: bad teams, Yeah, lose a game like that. I'll go
- 1:26:58Speaker 4: back a year. Okay, four and two of the Chicago
- 1:27:01Speaker 4: Bears were in Washington, you know, ten seconds away from
- 1:27:05Speaker 4: going five and two, and they like never won again.
- 1:27:07Speaker 4: They think they won one more game out they gave
- 1:27:09Speaker 4: up that Hail Mary and their season just unraveled and
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: they I think they won one game the rest of
- 1:27:15Speaker 4: the season like that. I could see that happening to
- 1:27:18Speaker 4: the Giants. The Giant should have won that game Sunday.
- 1:27:21Speaker 4: They had a chance to have some little momentum, you know,
- 1:27:24Speaker 4: continuing the little bump they've gotten from Jackson Dart. Would
- 1:27:28Speaker 4: you be stunned if they got boat raced by the
- 1:27:30Speaker 4: Eagles this week in Philly? And really it's surprising you,
- 1:27:35Speaker 4: I know, Well, I just thought it's a little peek
- 1:27:36Speaker 4: into the picks that are coming up.
- 1:27:38Speaker 11: Well, I would just say, like, as brutal as it
- 1:27:41Speaker 11: was to lose that way, I also feel like, shoot,
- 1:27:43Speaker 11: you have to take some positives from that that you
- 1:27:46Speaker 11: went into Denver.
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: It's a hard place to play. They play every game
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: there and you know, and we're in it.
- 1:27:51Speaker 4: The foreshadowing of the picks definitely disappointing the way that
- 1:27:55Speaker 4: it all went down, and you know, they had it
- 1:27:56Speaker 4: and then they didn't, and then they had it and
- 1:27:58Speaker 4: then they didn't.
- 1:27:59Speaker 11: But I've never seen I didn't see a Patriots four
- 1:28:01Speaker 11: win team play a game like that.
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: Over the last year.
- 1:28:04Speaker 8: It was like served on a silver platter for them
- 1:28:06Speaker 8: to win, like they're just last few plays of the game.
- 1:28:08Speaker 8: They're just chucking a deep ball towards the end zone.
- 1:28:11Speaker 8: It doesn't work. They do it on fourth down and
- 1:28:13Speaker 8: they get a DPI call and you're on the what
- 1:28:18Speaker 8: one yard line? And then Sean Payton gets a penalty
- 1:28:20Speaker 8: and then you're liket like yeah.
- 1:28:22Speaker 11: And when you're a young team, I think that's you know,
- 1:28:24Speaker 11: you you give yourself a little bit of grace in
- 1:28:26Speaker 11: those games of like, well, shoot, we can score points,
- 1:28:29Speaker 11: we can move the ball quick, we can you know again,
- 1:28:31Speaker 11: I just go back to that point.
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: That game will be more difficult.
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: It's funny you thought it would.
- 1:28:35Speaker 4: Have been like say, a month ago.
- 1:28:36Speaker 8: Yes, even like if you ask us at the beginning
- 1:28:39Speaker 8: of the season, look at the schedule and say like,
- 1:28:41Speaker 8: are you more worried about playing the Giants or going
- 1:28:43Speaker 8: to Buffalo and playing against Buffalo?
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: And right, you know, but yeah, that's what that's That's
- 1:28:51Speaker 4: kind of what I'm saying now. It's like, we look
- 1:28:54Speaker 4: at a game like that a billion there's no way
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: the Giants are going to beat you. All of a
- 1:28:58Speaker 4: sudden they look different.
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, what did I miss anything?
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: Good?
- 1:29:03Speaker 11: Took some calls, talked a little bit we Mike and Fred.
- 1:29:09Speaker 4: He took three straight calls Fred and got nothing but
- 1:29:11Speaker 4: dial times.
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: Literally you could hear him hang up as soon as
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: I they heard my.
- 1:29:14Speaker 4: They wanted no part of talking to Mic. It's really
- 1:29:18Speaker 4: kind of embarrassing. Fred left. I got no issues. I
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: got no interest.
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:29:24Speaker 11: I'd say though, for me, generally, pretty much every game
- 1:29:30Speaker 11: is just it's it's gonna be.
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: I mean the games we know, we know, Buffalo, Baltimore, Cincy, Tampa,
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: those games I think everybody would consider those are difficult games.
- 1:29:40Speaker 4: You know, they you know, but out of the games
- 1:29:42Speaker 4: that quote unquote you'll you know, be expected to win,
- 1:29:47Speaker 4: the Giants is one that I would say might be a.
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: Little more gas rushers, you know what I mean.
- 1:29:51Speaker 11: They got they got guys I mean who are really
- 1:29:53Speaker 11: good athletes off the.
- 1:29:54Speaker 4: Edge, so you know, but fortunately it's at home. Yeah,
- 1:29:57Speaker 4: like a Monday night at the meadow Lands, I think
- 1:29:59Speaker 4: would be the Giants seem to be they say, yeah,
- 1:30:02Speaker 4: they seem to play well in those kinds of spots.
- 1:30:05Speaker 11: I just I think you can take confidence from that
- 1:30:07Speaker 11: game in Bove as much as they get over the
- 1:30:09Speaker 11: way it ended. And like again, like do you ever
- 1:30:11Speaker 11: remember the Patriots playing a game like that where you
- 1:30:14Speaker 11: know it with the Patriot.
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: Games that they would win would be like, oh man,
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: they other team made some mistakes.
- 1:30:19Speaker 11: We grinded out seventeen points and we won seventeen fourteen,
- 1:30:22Speaker 11: not you know, we were going up and down the field.
- 1:30:24Speaker 11: Then they went up and down the field, you know,
- 1:30:26Speaker 11: like those I see positives as young team.
- 1:30:30Speaker 4: I mean, that would be a good sign for Brian
- 1:30:32Speaker 4: Dable if he's able to do it. But I could
- 1:30:33Speaker 4: absolutely see them winning another, like one more game the
- 1:30:36Speaker 4: rest of the year, because sometimes those are the game
- 1:30:39Speaker 4: we way the same old giants. It ain't happening for
- 1:30:41Speaker 4: us this year, no, Malik. I do think they're better
- 1:30:43Speaker 4: though in terms of talent, I mean that defensive front.
- 1:30:46Speaker 11: There'll be some buzz next year with they get Neighbors
- 1:30:49Speaker 11: back and then they you know, Dart year two, depending
- 1:30:51Speaker 11: on how it.
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: Goes the rest of the way. But yeah, they'll have
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: a little choice next year.
- 1:30:57Speaker 3: NFL dot Com changed the way they do their schedule.
- 1:31:00Speaker 3: They don't list like Universe and all that stuff anymore.
- 1:31:05Speaker 3: So I don't I'm you're gonna have to scramble.
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: Look, you want me to bring out a sheet.
- 1:31:10Speaker 2: All right, it's that time. So Paul, how did we
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: do last week?
- 1:31:22Speaker 4: Alex tops the list yet again twelve and three, Wow,
- 1:31:28Speaker 4: very good, followed by Mike at eleven and four.
- 1:31:31Speaker 3: Against the spread, Paul and.
- 1:31:33Speaker 4: Fred ten and five, and Evan didn't obviously have a
- 1:31:38Speaker 4: top five draft pick. He's trying to get picked.
- 1:31:42Speaker 3: He's building for the future.
- 1:31:44Speaker 4: It writes itself, it's too good. So season standings are
- 1:31:51Speaker 4: as follows. Alex seventy two to thirty five and one,
- 1:31:55Speaker 4: followed by Fred at seventy thirty seven and one, Mike
- 1:31:59Speaker 4: sixty eight, thirty nine and one, Paul no longer in
- 1:32:03Speaker 4: last place sixty three forty four and one, and Evan
- 1:32:06Speaker 4: sixty forty seven and one in his winning so with
- 1:32:10Speaker 4: the spread, Fred ten and five, followed by Alex and
- 1:32:17Speaker 4: Paul at nine and six, Mike and Evan at eight
- 1:32:20Speaker 4: and seven. So the spread, Fred just continues to run
- 1:32:26Speaker 4: away with it sixty one and forty seven, follow by
- 1:32:29Speaker 4: Paul now in second place fifty four and fifty four.
- 1:32:35Speaker 4: The way adequate in my mediocrity, or as I like
- 1:32:39Speaker 4: to say, my adequition.
- 1:32:40Speaker 3: You wereway. I was fack And.
- 1:32:44Speaker 4: You know what, I had a really good week going,
- 1:32:46Speaker 4: and I took two upsets on Monday night and missed
- 1:32:49Speaker 4: them both as a killer. So I'm second fifty four
- 1:32:53Speaker 4: and fifty four, Alex fifty two and fifty six, Evan
- 1:32:58Speaker 4: forty nine and fifty nine, and Poopy Pants forty seven
- 1:33:03Speaker 4: and sixty one.
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: Right back two back, two out of the gutter.
- 1:33:08Speaker 4: All right, So that's where we stand.
- 1:33:09Speaker 3: That's where we stand. Okay, So we start with tonight
- 1:33:13Speaker 3: on Prime. It's the three and three Vikings at the
- 1:33:18Speaker 3: four and three Chargers.
- 1:33:21Speaker 4: Anybody have any injury information? The Charger is getting anybody back?
- 1:33:26Speaker 4: No Chargers are faired by three and a half. I
- 1:33:28Speaker 4: know that Wentz is playing again for the Vikings. But
- 1:33:31Speaker 4: the Chargers just that offensive line that that poor guy
- 1:33:35Speaker 4: that is it Decaloss deculous ye trying it. He's like
- 1:33:38Speaker 4: their fourth tackle and he's like limping all over the place.
- 1:33:41Speaker 4: They are just losing linemen like you read about.
- 1:33:44Speaker 11: Yeah, well that's what really interests me with Brian Flores
- 1:33:46Speaker 11: and how aggressive he is and what I would row
- 1:33:48Speaker 11: with this offensive line. You know, Chargers still have the
- 1:33:52Speaker 11: quarterback advantage, and I love like the out of division,
- 1:33:57Speaker 11: out of conference road game.
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: You know, the travel away. I'm torn. I think I'm
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna take the Chargers, but I'm gonna take
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: the Minnesota hook. Take the point the three and a
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: half with Minnesota. I think it's good use of the hook.
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: Might I nailed it right?
- 1:34:12Speaker 3: You didn't.
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: Only took me six years.
- 1:34:14Speaker 3: So the Vikings are getting three and a half. Correct.
- 1:34:20Speaker 8: I'm gonna go with Vegas and just take the Chargers
- 1:34:23Speaker 8: both ways.
- 1:34:26Speaker 4: Oh boy, I'm gonna do the mic thing. I'm gonna
- 1:34:30Speaker 4: take the Chargers to win, but I will take the hook.
- 1:34:32Speaker 4: I am really struggling in these Thursday night games. I
- 1:34:36Speaker 4: haven't really gotten many of them, right, I'm.
- 1:34:39Speaker 3: Struggling with the Chargers and the Vikings this year. I
- 1:34:41Speaker 3: don't know who they are. I thought the Chargers would
- 1:34:44Speaker 3: be a little bit better. They've lost a couple of games.
- 1:34:47Speaker 4: You can't lose the amount of players they have.
- 1:34:49Speaker 3: Thought, Okay, yeah, I'm not really affected by it. I
- 1:34:52Speaker 3: just look at the feel of the league. I don't
- 1:34:54Speaker 3: get it.
- 1:34:54Speaker 4: Yeah, it's hard to get a field. It's hard to
- 1:34:57Speaker 4: get a field for these teams, but I think it's
- 1:34:59Speaker 4: because of so many problem personnel losses.
- 1:35:02Speaker 3: I'm gonna I'm going to stick with the idea that
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: Jim Harbaugh is a good head coach, not that the
- 1:35:08Speaker 3: Vikings guy and Kelly he's pretty good too. But at home,
- 1:35:12Speaker 3: I got to take the Chargers here. I think they'll
- 1:35:14Speaker 3: cover the three and a hay all right, all right, Sunday.
- 1:35:20Speaker 3: This is at one o'clock. It's the one and six
- 1:35:23Speaker 3: Dolphins at the three and three.
- 1:35:25Speaker 4: Falcons, Atlanta by seven and a half.
- 1:35:29Speaker 11: Paul, Sorry for this later information, but just to let
- 1:35:31Speaker 11: you know, Harbos said it would come down to game
- 1:35:34Speaker 11: day if Joe Alt and Trey Pipkins, their two starting.
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: Tackles, would be available both our question and.
- 1:35:40Speaker 4: Just you know, Pipkins is back up. He's the third tackle.
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: But he would be because he next places Slater.
- 1:35:47Speaker 11: Yeah, right, right, right, Okay, Sorry, back to the matter
- 1:35:50Speaker 11: at hand.
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: But good info, good, great, excellent info.
- 1:35:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:35:55Speaker 11: I think Atlanta is a different team at home inside,
- 1:35:58Speaker 11: and I think Miami is a different team on the road.
- 1:36:00Speaker 11: And they're also not doing great. Every time two it
- 1:36:03Speaker 11: get steps up to a microphone, I'm gonna take I'm
- 1:36:06Speaker 11: gonna take Atlanta. It seems like Miami is in a
- 1:36:10Speaker 11: free fall, about to be in a free fall in whatever.
- 1:36:13Speaker 4: They are not making any moves anytime soon though. Atlanta
- 1:36:17Speaker 4: both ways.
- 1:36:17Speaker 3: Yeah, please me too.
- 1:36:19Speaker 4: Uh yeah, Normally I wouldn't like to with a team
- 1:36:23Speaker 4: like the Falcons be laying that amount of points, but
- 1:36:26Speaker 4: I'm gonna take it. I'm gonna take Atlanta both ways.
- 1:36:29Speaker 4: Miami is just yea in a bad way.
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean the Falcons could get caught looking ahead
- 1:36:38Speaker 3: like that. I knew that you would. I can always
- 1:36:41Speaker 3: tell when you look at me first that something's coming.
- 1:36:45Speaker 3: But I will go with the Falcons. I think they
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: take care of business. The Dolphins are just I don't
- 1:36:50Speaker 3: know what's going on there, but if mister Capripants makes
- 1:36:53Speaker 3: it through the season, that'll be White defeat all right,
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: one o'clock on Sunday the four and two Bears at
- 1:37:01Speaker 3: the one in five Ravens. I know Lamar started practicing
- 1:37:05Speaker 3: this week.
- 1:37:06Speaker 4: Yeah, he practiced yesterday.
- 1:37:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:37:09Speaker 4: But Baltimore is favored by six and a half.
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: Oh jeez wow.
- 1:37:14Speaker 4: So what are the sharps that Baltimore is good?
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:37:18Speaker 3: Are they? Is he going to play? So do they
- 1:37:21Speaker 3: know that?
- 1:37:22Speaker 4: I would have said that he practiced, he's going to play.
- 1:37:24Speaker 3: So that line tells us that he's going to play.
- 1:37:26Speaker 4: I'm going to assume that he's playing. Okay, I do
- 1:37:28Speaker 4: not have any information on that, so I don't want
- 1:37:30Speaker 4: to I'm not holding out on you guys. I just
- 1:37:33Speaker 4: he practiced. My guess is he's he going to play?
- 1:37:35Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:37:35Speaker 11: Lamar questionable, Call Hamilton questionable, DJ more questionable, DeAndre Swift questionable.
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: Uh, that's an interesting game to me?
- 1:37:42Speaker 11: Is I think Baltimore's defense has been really really bad,
- 1:37:46Speaker 11: and you know, I think Ben Johnson knows how to
- 1:37:49Speaker 11: try to take advantage the advantage of those kind of things.
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: You guys, I'm going with Chicago on this one.
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: Who you guys.
- 1:37:56Speaker 7: Shoot, I'm tempted to take the upset to but I
- 1:38:00Speaker 7: feel like.
- 1:38:02Speaker 8: This would be the week where I see like the
- 1:38:03Speaker 8: Ravens have to get better at some point, So I'll
- 1:38:06Speaker 8: take the Ravens to win the Bears to cover. Although
- 1:38:10Speaker 8: I did see something on the Twitter x about a
- 1:38:14Speaker 8: girl hiring an Etsy wish to put a curse on
- 1:38:18Speaker 8: the Ravens because her ex was a Ravens fan and
- 1:38:22Speaker 8: she did this in early September.
- 1:38:28Speaker 7: And she like on Etsy.
- 1:38:32Speaker 3: I know the I.
- 1:38:34Speaker 8: Guess witches put their services on Etsy.
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: Team that seems unfair.
- 1:38:43Speaker 4: Tots Witch, I'm sorry.
- 1:38:45Speaker 3: Did you take Baltimore Baltimore Bears cover Chicago to cover? Okay?
- 1:38:50Speaker 4: I wrote down the wrong team to cover. Okay. I
- 1:38:54Speaker 4: am going to take Baltimore both ways. I just believe
- 1:38:59Speaker 4: in the talent and I know that they're banged up.
- 1:39:02Speaker 4: I know they've had a lot of issues. At some point,
- 1:39:05Speaker 4: they got to stop playing better. But man, what I
- 1:39:07Speaker 4: love to see because you know, I have a little
- 1:39:10Speaker 4: defense mechanism for Caleb Williams. I'd love to see him
- 1:39:12Speaker 4: go on the road and win a game like this.
- 1:39:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I I'm tempted to take the Bears as well,
- 1:39:19Speaker 3: but I'm gonna hedge my bed. I'll say that they
- 1:39:22Speaker 3: it's a lose cover. Yep, right, that's what else lose cover,
- 1:39:26Speaker 3: La lose cover.
- 1:39:28Speaker 4: I'm glad that you reminded me of that Fred's guarantee
- 1:39:32Speaker 4: lose Louck cover of the week hit hit there you go, there,
- 1:39:37Speaker 4: you got the Giants and they did cover.
- 1:39:39Speaker 3: Oh God, by the skin of their teeth.
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: He knew. He wasn't even worried. Watching the game is
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: just like it'll be well.
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: They had a nineteen point lead.
- 1:39:51Speaker 3: He was cruising right away. Yeah, all right. So one
- 1:39:55Speaker 3: o'clock on Fox, it's the four and two Bills at
- 1:39:58Speaker 3: the four and three Anthers.
- 1:40:01Speaker 4: Buffalo by seven. No Bryce Young, but Andy Dalton, who's
- 1:40:08Speaker 4: a regular rico. Do you know, it's not like they're
- 1:40:11Speaker 4: playing with a stiff backup. He's a veteran back had
- 1:40:15Speaker 4: some experience in the league.
- 1:40:18Speaker 11: I'm gonna go Buffalo, and I'm gonna lay the points.
- 1:40:20Speaker 11: I think I kind of feel like you feel about
- 1:40:22Speaker 11: Baltimore with them. They just they gotta get in gear
- 1:40:24Speaker 11: and start blowing doors.
- 1:40:26Speaker 7: Buffalo, Buffalo.
- 1:40:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:40:29Speaker 4: I I just don't think Carolina is any good. But
- 1:40:33Speaker 4: you know, win this game.
- 1:40:35Speaker 1: Four teams that were beg to differ.
- 1:40:36Speaker 4: You win this game, and you know, I have to
- 1:40:38Speaker 4: eat my words. I'll take Buffalo.
- 1:40:40Speaker 3: Yeah. I think Dalton gets has a lot of pressure
- 1:40:44Speaker 3: this game. I think he's gets sacked at least four
- 1:40:48Speaker 3: times in the game. So I think the Bills win.
- 1:40:51Speaker 3: The window is still closing, absolutely, but they win the Absolutely.
- 1:40:55Speaker 3: They win this game and they cut One o'clock on
- 1:40:59Speaker 3: CB it's the oh to seven Jets at the three
- 1:41:04Speaker 3: and four.
- 1:41:05Speaker 4: Bengals Cincinnati by six and a half.
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: Joe Flacco just a great story.
- 1:41:11Speaker 4: It's just the greatest, greatest it old guy, I like.
- 1:41:15Speaker 11: Did you see the press conference with him talking about
- 1:41:17Speaker 11: like being the only guy, like a single guy.
- 1:41:20Speaker 8: Guys eating by themselves and feel bad for them?
- 1:41:22Speaker 7: Now I get it.
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: Oh those guys are those guys are living life. Uh.
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: I think Flacco at home keeps it going.
- 1:41:29Speaker 11: Jets are similarly ad disaster guessing it's going to be
- 1:41:33Speaker 11: Tyrod Taylor.
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: We'll wait for Woody Johnson on that one. But I'll
- 1:41:37Speaker 1: take Cincinnatilia the points one.
- 1:41:39Speaker 7: More time for the spread six and a half. I'll
- 1:41:45Speaker 7: take the elite Joe Flacco both ways.
- 1:41:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna take Cincinnati both ways too. I think
- 1:41:52Speaker 4: and I mentioned this last week, and they ended up
- 1:41:54Speaker 4: one of the rare things that I got right.
- 1:41:58Speaker 12: I thought.
- 1:41:58Speaker 4: I thought Cincinnati looked like themselves in the second half
- 1:42:02Speaker 4: of that game, act green.
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: Just like Joe Flacco.
- 1:42:05Speaker 4: I do. And I think this is the and he
- 1:42:08Speaker 4: you know, as he said, if you can't find a
- 1:42:10Speaker 4: way to get those two guys involved, and you're not
- 1:42:12Speaker 4: doing it right, right, it's not about Flacco. It's about
- 1:42:15Speaker 4: there down there somewhere Cincinnati.
- 1:42:20Speaker 3: Okay, I'm going to take the Jets to cover, lose,
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: but cover.
- 1:42:25Speaker 4: Uh, they a tough one for you.
- 1:42:27Speaker 3: They still have a good defense, but uh, I think
- 1:42:32Speaker 3: that they stay within six songs.
- 1:42:33Speaker 4: Might be out. Oh yeah, okay, possible.
- 1:42:39Speaker 3: I'll again, I go with the field. I go with
- 1:42:42Speaker 3: the field, and like, I can't go.
- 1:42:44Speaker 4: It's a tough game for you. Hate that game?
- 1:42:47Speaker 3: Oh, I hate them both? Can they both lose.
- 1:42:49Speaker 4: A lot of hate involved in that.
- 1:42:52Speaker 3: Yeah. So I feel that the Jets will cover this game.
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: Wilson and Hall both questionable needs.
- 1:43:00Speaker 4: Wow, Oh Garrett Wilson, I believe it's out. I don't
- 1:43:03Speaker 4: think he's going to play. I thought Sauce was hurt too.
- 1:43:06Speaker 8: It thinks might be in the concussion proto call cha yeah, based.
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: On the X Sauces and concussion protocol, but says questionable concussion.
- 1:43:17Speaker 3: Yeah, so I just like it bangles both ways.
- 1:43:22Speaker 4: But now you're gonna yell at me.
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: Now we're no, no, no, it's new information.
- 1:43:26Speaker 4: I was just trying to give you the information that
- 1:43:27Speaker 4: I knew.
- 1:43:28Speaker 7: I don't want to the whole round of the pick.
- 1:43:30Speaker 4: So it's yeah, but I'm just worried about the Jets covering.
- 1:43:34Speaker 4: And then he don't you said he wasn't playing he
- 1:43:37Speaker 4: had three picks.
- 1:43:38Speaker 1: That sounds just like.
- 1:43:40Speaker 3: One o'clock on Fox, the five and two forty nine
- 1:43:44Speaker 3: Ers at the two and four Texans.
- 1:43:47Speaker 4: Houston by one and a half.
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: Hous Oh boy. So really, I'm checking checking some of these.
- 1:43:53Speaker 3: Somebody's got to be hurt here.
- 1:43:55Speaker 4: Heard personal a lot of niners.
- 1:43:58Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I mean.
- 1:44:00Speaker 4: They were all hurt last week and they won.
- 1:44:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:44:04Speaker 11: I just as long as Christian McCaffrey's healthy, I feel
- 1:44:07Speaker 11: like they get the ball in his hand.
- 1:44:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna take San Francisco and they have set on
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: the road.
- 1:44:10Speaker 7: Me too.
- 1:44:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll lose another one. Give me Houston.
- 1:44:15Speaker 3: Really, just like I did last week, I'm gonna go
- 1:44:18Speaker 3: with the text. I mean, the forty nine ers in
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: this one one o'clock on Fox, the two and five
- 1:44:26Speaker 3: Giants at the five and two Eagles.
- 1:44:29Speaker 4: Philly by seven and a half.
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: That's a lot.
- 1:44:33Speaker 11: As pre viewed earlier, I'm gonnake Philip you win, but
- 1:44:36Speaker 11: I'm gonna take those points for the Giants. I just
- 1:44:38Speaker 11: think Jackson Dart, little little feisty, they'll keep it close.
- 1:44:47Speaker 7: Eagles. Yeah, yeah, give the points to the Giants.
- 1:44:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna take the Eagles to win going away.
- 1:44:55Speaker 4: I'll take them both ways. I think those games are
- 1:44:57Speaker 4: hard for young teams to overcome. And and Billy just
- 1:45:01Speaker 4: lost to the Giants. I think they have that on
- 1:45:03Speaker 4: their minds as well.
- 1:45:04Speaker 3: I like the Eagles big Yeah, me too. I don't
- 1:45:08Speaker 3: think that. I mean you could say, oh, the Giants
- 1:45:11Speaker 3: are going to be motivated, you know, because of what
- 1:45:13Speaker 3: happened Stable broke a chair in the locker room, which
- 1:45:16Speaker 3: I heard about.
- 1:45:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I mean that would be another, a
- 1:45:21Speaker 4: different way of responding. I kind of I likened it
- 1:45:25Speaker 4: to the Bears last year, Fred when they lost that
- 1:45:27Speaker 4: Hail Mary game to Washington and then kind of never
- 1:45:30Speaker 4: won again.
- 1:45:30Speaker 3: Yep, that happens, does But I'm gonna I'm gonna take
- 1:45:35Speaker 3: the Eagles all right. Now, we skip over the Patriots
- 1:45:40Speaker 3: at one o'clock and we moved to four h five.
- 1:45:43Speaker 3: It's the five and two Buccaneers on Fox against the
- 1:45:48Speaker 3: one and six.
- 1:45:48Speaker 4: Saints Tampa by four and a half.
- 1:45:52Speaker 3: Another team might be looking ahead a couple of weeks.
- 1:45:55Speaker 1: Baker's already thinking about it.
- 1:45:57Speaker 3: Probably that's why it's kneeers.
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna take.
- 1:46:01Speaker 11: I'm gonna take Tampa the bank, bounce back against the
- 1:46:04Speaker 11: division opponent.
- 1:46:05Speaker 1: I will lay the points me too.
- 1:46:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree.
- 1:46:11Speaker 4: I think they had a terrible offensive performance Monday night,
- 1:46:15Speaker 4: and I think they bounce back from it.
- 1:46:17Speaker 3: Me too. Buccaneers four five, the three, three and one
- 1:46:23Speaker 3: Cowboys travel guess where to Mile High for the Broncos
- 1:46:30Speaker 3: for their eighth home game this season.
- 1:46:33Speaker 4: Unbelievable.
- 1:46:34Speaker 3: The five and two Broncos.
- 1:46:35Speaker 4: You know I used to give Freddy. I used to
- 1:46:37Speaker 4: give Freddy some pushback on that. Right, every game they
- 1:46:40Speaker 4: play is at home.
- 1:46:41Speaker 3: That's amazing.
- 1:46:42Speaker 4: It is Broncos by three and a half.
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: We got the footage of my helmet, you know, just
- 1:46:46Speaker 1: to remind you.
- 1:46:48Speaker 4: The footage the el you know what I'm married.
- 1:46:55Speaker 1: Is shoot.
- 1:46:57Speaker 11: This is a tough one man, two good offenses. Uh
- 1:47:00Speaker 11: you know it probably moved the ball. But I'm gonna
- 1:47:02Speaker 11: you know, went in doubt Denver at home. I'm gonna
- 1:47:05Speaker 11: lay the points.
- 1:47:07Speaker 7: I'm gonna take Denver at home.
- 1:47:09Speaker 1: But I I live dangerous.
- 1:47:12Speaker 8: Huh yeah, I'm gonna hedge a little.
- 1:47:16Speaker 4: I am not going to hedge. I I will take
- 1:47:19Speaker 4: the Broncos to win. And that defense is is pretty good.
- 1:47:24Speaker 3: So you don't have to say I'm gonna take the
- 1:47:26Speaker 3: Broncos at home. That's redundant.
- 1:47:31Speaker 4: Yeah, those two column deductive proofs that you used to
- 1:47:34Speaker 4: have to do in like geometry. You know this is
- 1:47:36Speaker 4: a given.
- 1:47:36Speaker 3: But after I love after the last.
- 1:47:39Speaker 4: Game, I said, no one ever anywhere.
- 1:47:42Speaker 3: After what the Broncos did to the Giants. In the
- 1:47:44Speaker 3: words of Kevin Garnett, their whole team is saying anything
- 1:47:48Speaker 3: is possible. So they went they win this game.
- 1:47:52Speaker 4: Broncos.
- 1:47:53Speaker 3: Broncos win. Yep uh fo on CBS the one and
- 1:47:58Speaker 3: six Titans at the six and one Colts flying high.
- 1:48:03Speaker 3: Best record in the NFL.
- 1:48:05Speaker 4: Colts by fourteen.
- 1:48:06Speaker 3: Oh lord folk, lordie.
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: Well we just saw Tennessee play. Hude.
- 1:48:15Speaker 11: I'm a little tempted to take the points just because
- 1:48:17Speaker 11: it's a division game and but it's at Indy, and
- 1:48:21Speaker 11: I feel like that. Jonathan Taylor, man, he's a nightmare.
- 1:48:24Speaker 11: He is one one piece of running back. I'm gonna
- 1:48:28Speaker 11: lay the freaking points. I can't believe it, but yeah,
- 1:48:32Speaker 11: me too.
- 1:48:34Speaker 4: Oh do I try to steal one?
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: I do feel about cam word last week?
- 1:48:39Speaker 4: Yea, yeah, at home? I think that they get some
- 1:48:44Speaker 4: some turnovers too. Yeah, I'm gonna take Indy La the
- 1:48:47Speaker 4: play folks.
- 1:48:50Speaker 1: Jeffrey he might be questionable.
- 1:48:52Speaker 4: I mean hopefully, I mean he should be fresh. He
- 1:48:55Speaker 4: only played twelve plays because I think the.
- 1:48:57Speaker 3: Only chance they have is to break owns.
- 1:49:00Speaker 11: The first listed is questionable right now, Listen is questionable.
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: Same with Ridley.
- 1:49:06Speaker 3: What did he roots for? I'm not rooting for it.
- 1:49:08Speaker 3: I'm just saying that that's that's the way they win,
- 1:49:11Speaker 3: not the quarterback out, not the old school football.
- 1:49:15Speaker 4: Especially Anthony Richardson's not even available.
- 1:49:17Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:49:17Speaker 1: You've got seeds on iron. They had to put sneed
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: on iron after last week.
- 1:49:20Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what happens when you play the Patriots. That's
- 1:49:23Speaker 3: a lot of points. But I'll take the Colts at
- 1:49:25Speaker 3: home to cover Sunday night.
- 1:49:29Speaker 4: Just football, very short schedule.
- 1:49:31Speaker 3: This This is NBC and they say NBC plus two,
- 1:49:35Speaker 3: but they don't say what the two. I'm assuming it's
- 1:49:37Speaker 3: Universo and the Peacock, right Peacock. Yeah, it's the four
- 1:49:45Speaker 3: one and one Packers at the four and two Steelers,
- 1:49:49Speaker 3: green Bay by three.
- 1:49:51Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:49:52Speaker 11: Not a great game, but but a good game. It's
- 1:49:54Speaker 11: Sunday sometimes game.
- 1:49:56Speaker 3: This is a good FRED rooting game.
- 1:49:58Speaker 11: Oh yeah really, Uh yeah, I'm gonna Rogers against the package, right,
- 1:50:03Speaker 11: I'm gonna take Green Bay on the road.
- 1:50:06Speaker 1: Just I still think Pittsburgh is smoking Mirror's kind of team.
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: But yeah, go pack go.
- 1:50:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna take the points I like. I like
- 1:50:14Speaker 4: Pittsburgh get home on a Sunday night. Rogers. Yeah, Rogers
- 1:50:19Speaker 4: will be motivated. Yeah, I'm gonna take Pittsburgh.
- 1:50:24Speaker 3: I am rooting hard for the Packers a because I
- 1:50:29Speaker 3: want to see the Steelers lose and Aaron Rodgers lose.
- 1:50:31Speaker 3: But also if continue right, this is this is playoff implications.
- 1:50:37Speaker 4: Correct, Freddy, So, I am Patriots fan, should.
- 1:50:40Speaker 3: Be Packers win this game. Packers win this game. They
- 1:50:45Speaker 3: maybe they knocked Rogers out of the game.
- 1:50:48Speaker 4: You continuing to root for injuries really makes me uncomfortable.
- 1:50:53Speaker 3: I'm just predicting the future.
- 1:50:56Speaker 7: I'm gonna leave the show at T Dots.
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: And maybe his head falls off. I don't know what.
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: I'm just saying. Maybe it happens in the middle of
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: the game.
- 1:51:06Speaker 8: You shouldn't hire nuts curses on all the teams you hate.
- 1:51:11Speaker 7: We could call it like on the show.
- 1:51:12Speaker 4: He wouldn't have the bandwidth to be able to support
- 1:51:15Speaker 4: that the server.
- 1:51:15Speaker 3: I'm going to ask Evan if Clinis has a witch
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: Witch Yeah, Monday Night. This is on ESPN plus three,
- 1:51:26Speaker 3: so that's probably ESPN plus ABC. No, it wouldn't be ABC.
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: Monday Night foot Player.
- 1:51:33Speaker 3: Yeah, but there's only one this week. There's no double header,
- 1:51:35Speaker 3: no double header that's summering.
- 1:51:37Speaker 1: It might be the end of the double header that was.
- 1:51:38Speaker 4: The last one. But I agree with spread that I
- 1:51:41Speaker 4: like the games going at the same time, not necessarily right.
- 1:51:46Speaker 3: The three and four Commanders, who Evans says it's over,
- 1:51:49Speaker 3: they're done for the next.
- 1:51:50Speaker 4: Decade because they went to the end of the right again.
- 1:51:54Speaker 4: It just had a top five.
- 1:51:56Speaker 3: Against Paul's team. He's a big Chiefs fan. The four
- 1:52:00Speaker 3: and three Chiefs.
- 1:52:01Speaker 4: Kansas City by twelve and a half. Oh wait, yeah,
- 1:52:05Speaker 4: it's outing there, already cleared out sugar.
- 1:52:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:52:11Speaker 11: I usually don't pick against Kansas City. I'm going to
- 1:52:14Speaker 11: take Kansas City, and man, I laid fourteen points and
- 1:52:17Speaker 11: I'm going to late twelve and a half.
- 1:52:18Speaker 7: Okay, Chiefs at home, I guess both ways.
- 1:52:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I will take Kansas City, but I am going
- 1:52:25Speaker 4: to take the points. Really, I think that's a lot
- 1:52:27Speaker 4: of points, just a lot of points.
- 1:52:30Speaker 3: Who they're back to playing Washington. I know who's Washington's
- 1:52:33Speaker 3: backup Quarterbackice Mariota. I think that I think that you
- 1:52:39Speaker 3: like it. I love it and I lose.
- 1:52:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it's okay, like I'm not doing.
- 1:52:43Speaker 3: It trying to help you out, trying to help you.
- 1:52:45Speaker 4: I think twelve and a half's a lot of it
- 1:52:47Speaker 4: is a lot of point. Kansas City generally blows teams out.
- 1:52:50Speaker 4: They did last week. I think Kansas City plays a
- 1:52:52Speaker 4: lot of close.
- 1:52:53Speaker 3: Direction of the chiefs going. They're starting to flex, they're
- 1:52:56Speaker 3: getting healthy.
- 1:52:57Speaker 4: Right, I agree, And that's why I'm taking them to win.
- 1:53:00Speaker 3: And this is why the Sharps made that spread the
- 1:53:02Speaker 3: way it is, because they know, Paul, you're gonna listen
- 1:53:05Speaker 3: to the Sharps.
- 1:53:07Speaker 1: It's pleading with you.
- 1:53:09Speaker 3: I'll be wrong, Okay, it's okay.
- 1:53:12Speaker 4: It's just a pen of help. There's nothing on the
- 1:53:13Speaker 4: line here trying to help you. So you're taking Kansas
- 1:53:16Speaker 4: City both ways.
- 1:53:17Speaker 3: You've got that right, all right? Now we move back
- 1:53:21Speaker 3: to one o'clock. This is on Fox. It's the two
- 1:53:26Speaker 3: and five Browns at the five and two Patriots.
- 1:53:30Speaker 4: Patriots by seven, biggest spread of the season.
- 1:53:34Speaker 3: So far for the Patriots, I would say, right, is
- 1:53:37Speaker 3: that true?
- 1:53:39Speaker 1: They were? I think they're around there last week seven
- 1:53:41Speaker 1: I think.
- 1:53:42Speaker 3: So it's a big spread for the Patriots.
- 1:53:44Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:53:45Speaker 11: Yeah, I feel pretty good about this. I just, like
- 1:53:49Speaker 11: I said, something interesting on both sides of the ball.
- 1:53:51Speaker 11: You want to see Draco against the good defense, how
- 1:53:53Speaker 11: they you know, pressure him.
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: They're gonna be aggressive, not a lot of room, just
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: a good challenge.
- 1:53:58Speaker 11: See what New England's offense has got in And then defensively,
- 1:54:00Speaker 11: you know, can they just make this kid, you know,
- 1:54:03Speaker 11: look like they should and you know, look like a
- 1:54:07Speaker 11: rookie should, especially right out of the gate. But I
- 1:54:09Speaker 11: got the Patriots winning pretty easily. I'm going to say
- 1:54:12Speaker 11: New England twenty four to ten.
- 1:54:14Speaker 5: They were favored by seven last week.
- 1:54:16Speaker 3: They were favored by seven last week on the road.
- 1:54:19Speaker 7: Patriots twenty seven, Browns twelve. The Witch so I looked up,
- 1:54:28Speaker 7: we can it's a deal, you guys.
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: Oh really?
- 1:54:31Speaker 8: Eleven fifteen custom spell from a NATSI witch. Wow, And
- 1:54:38Speaker 8: it has great ratings eight twenty one reviews, four point
- 1:54:42Speaker 8: seven stars out of five.
- 1:54:43Speaker 7: That's a lot of reviews.
- 1:54:44Speaker 3: There's a lot of curse people walking around.
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: I know I have my stupid husband. I put a
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: curse on it. She put a curse on him, and
- 1:54:50Speaker 1: now he's dead. And there's night job.
- 1:54:52Speaker 8: There's one that's like apology and reconciliation spell.
- 1:54:57Speaker 7: You can get obsession and return spell. People are insane.
- 1:55:02Speaker 3: And what's the cost eleven dollars.
- 1:55:04Speaker 7: For a custom spell? Eleven?
- 1:55:07Speaker 8: That's even It's fifty percent off right now. So I'll
- 1:55:11Speaker 8: tell you just in time for the.
- 1:55:13Speaker 4: I would Josh, I like the bogo Patrick Mahon bogos too.
- 1:55:16Speaker 4: You buy one, get very worried about what Fred's about
- 1:55:19Speaker 4: the churches.
- 1:55:20Speaker 8: To make sure there's not a better deal before we
- 1:55:22Speaker 8: make any purchases.
- 1:55:23Speaker 4: But so, I'm going to absolutely take the Patriots to
- 1:55:27Speaker 4: win this game, but I will take the points. I
- 1:55:29Speaker 4: think there is a chance that this is a little
- 1:55:32Speaker 4: bit lower scoring. I'm going to go twenty to sixteen Patriots,
- 1:55:36Speaker 4: and maybe it's a backdoor cover for Cleveland. I think
- 1:55:39Speaker 4: the Patriots will have the game in hand, but maybe
- 1:55:41Speaker 4: the last score is Cleveland's and that gives you a
- 1:55:44Speaker 4: cover like it.
- 1:55:46Speaker 3: Yeah, so if if a tornado wipes out Cincinnati, you
- 1:55:51Speaker 3: know that I went to that site.
- 1:55:53Speaker 4: Well, I just told you if I were Patrick Mahomes
- 1:55:55Speaker 4: and Josh Allen, I would not be comfortable right now
- 1:55:58Speaker 4: with Fred's future purchase on any New England.
- 1:56:01Speaker 7: Men.
- 1:56:01Speaker 8: Be nice to your girlfriends, your exes, your situationships.
- 1:56:05Speaker 3: Please, situationships.
- 1:56:07Speaker 4: It's okay, says the Princess.
- 1:56:09Speaker 1: Come for you.
- 1:56:10Speaker 4: Oh right, all right, oh.
- 1:56:12Speaker 3: Yeah, bring up. Listen. All week we've been talking about
- 1:56:16Speaker 3: how good the Browns defense is. It is this is
- 1:56:20Speaker 3: a great test for the Patriots offense, not so much
- 1:56:23Speaker 3: for the Patriots defense this week. So as a result,
- 1:56:28Speaker 3: I think I've heard a lot of similar scores, and
- 1:56:31Speaker 3: I think there's a reason for that twenty to ten
- 1:56:34Speaker 3: Patriots win this game, and very likely they don't even
- 1:56:39Speaker 3: get ten.
- 1:56:40Speaker 11: So do you do what do you think the chances
- 1:56:42Speaker 11: are better to that the Patriots come out, play really
- 1:56:44Speaker 11: well and you know, kind of assert themselves on both
- 1:56:48Speaker 11: sides of the ball maybe and just build a little
- 1:56:49Speaker 11: lead and then it's you know, kind of just maintain
- 1:56:52Speaker 11: that lead, or do you think it's going to be
- 1:56:53Speaker 11: close for a while, Like, do you think it's going
- 1:56:55Speaker 11: to be some fits and starts for the Patriots And
- 1:56:58Speaker 11: maybe even I think it's going to be remnant.
- 1:57:00Speaker 3: Listen of like four oh three, where you just know
- 1:57:02Speaker 3: the Browns aren't going to be able to do it.
- 1:57:04Speaker 3: So it might be close score wise, but you won't.
- 1:57:07Speaker 3: It won't be uncomfortable. You won't feel uncomfortable.
- 1:57:10Speaker 4: I agree with Fred. I could see it looking a
- 1:57:12Speaker 4: little like last week, but never like You're never going
- 1:57:15Speaker 4: to feel like the Patriots are in trouble because you're
- 1:57:18Speaker 4: gonna look and you're gonna say, it's just not enough off.
- 1:57:20Speaker 3: Now we're going to come out of this game saying
- 1:57:23Speaker 3: we left stuff on the field. We've got to finish
- 1:57:25Speaker 3: stuff like that.
- 1:57:26Speaker 4: You guys do that every week. I just we're professionally
- 1:57:29Speaker 4: like you can't score every time you get the ball.
- 1:57:31Speaker 3: But the Patriots moved to six and two. What yep?
- 1:57:35Speaker 5: Six and ten?
- 1:57:36Speaker 3: Yep? It is crazy number. And if my etsy stuff.
- 1:57:40Speaker 4: I just feel like they were going to be Daniel
- 1:57:43Speaker 4: Jones out four to three. I'm not five to two
- 1:57:47Speaker 4: like the Buffalo game is the one.
- 1:57:49Speaker 3: D Yeah, I don't. I don't do positives, okay.
- 1:57:53Speaker 11: No, And I mean and I I it's landed on
- 1:57:56Speaker 11: nine to eight at some point this summer, and that's
- 1:57:57Speaker 11: what I would say. But even still just to hear
- 1:57:59Speaker 11: like the chance here in October to get your six
- 1:58:02Speaker 11: win when it was like impossible.
- 1:58:04Speaker 1: To get wins the last two years.
- 1:58:06Speaker 4: It's still just jarring.
- 1:58:08Speaker 3: All right, that's going to be it for the show.
- 1:58:10Speaker 3: I want to remind people sign up for the Patriots
