- 0:00SPEAKER_00: All right, so TS Paranormal Productions here.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: I'm here with Cindy Kuhn from the Ross House.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: Um down in Bell.
- 0:08SPEAKER_04: Hello, everybody.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, down on Bel Air, Ohio.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: I got the privilege to meet Cindy twice.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: So and it's my third time.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: Well, you want to tell us a little bit about the Ross House?
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: And it's hard because I've talked to you so a few times already.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Like I already know.
- 0:23SPEAKER_02: Right, right.
- 0:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 0:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 0:25SPEAKER_02: So basically, um, I kind of fell into this type of thing with the house.
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: My family's owned the house since 1990.
- 0:34SPEAKER_02: Um, and I myself have known didn't know anything about the paranormal.
- 0:39SPEAKER_02: Um, I actually got the house.
- 0:42SPEAKER_02: Um, I started using the house in 2015 for an escape room.
- 0:49SPEAKER_02: And from there, that's when I found out that the house had activity.
- 0:53SPEAKER_02: So from there, um, escape zone stayed there for about six years until 2022, the end of 2022, when I finally gave in and opened it up to full-time investigations.
- 1:06SPEAKER_02: And and that's where uh that's where I'm at.
- 1:08SPEAKER_02: You know, I've been running this house uh for investigators to come in for the last couple years and having some fun with it and um you know enjoying meeting some meeting the people.
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: It it's it's always interesting to hear the stories and what they have what they do for a living and just getting to know them a little bit.
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: I I've been having some fun with it.
- 1:29SPEAKER_02: But the house has a lot of activity.
- 1:31SPEAKER_02: Um basically I I believe it's from the land.
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: Um the house sits on a ley line, and um ley line is it brings in that uh flow of energy, and it it it definitely, you know, we've had coal mine explosions nearby that uh have um I think have helped to well I shouldn't say have helped, but we seem to get the coal miners come in and just a lot of different things.
- 1:57SPEAKER_02: It it kind of like a hodgepodge of a lot of different um things that happen in the house.
- 2:04SPEAKER_02: So it's been fun, it's been interesting.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: I'm learning a lot in the beginning.
- 2:08SPEAKER_02: I didn't know anything.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: When we first went down there, sorry, we were talking to you, and you were kind of like lenient on the paranormal.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: We were talking about like your nephew was saying a whole bunch of stuff when he was doing the escape room.
- 2:22SPEAKER_02: Yes, yes, he gets so scared.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he can't work there anymore.
- 2:27SPEAKER_02: He didn't, yeah.
- 2:28SPEAKER_02: He ran.
- 2:29SPEAKER_02: Huh.
- 2:29SPEAKER_02: So I I myself, um, I was in uh the casino business.
- 2:34SPEAKER_02: I was an executive host in a casino for 46 years.
- 2:37SPEAKER_02: I knew nothing about paranormal or anything, uh, you know, ghosts or spirits.
- 2:43SPEAKER_02: I mean, I I hear about it a little bit, but I was never one involved with that sort of thing.
- 2:49SPEAKER_02: So I my whole world was traveling with my players, going, you know, taking them to different casinos in that.
- 2:58SPEAKER_02: So, but I did like escape rooms, and um and so that's what I did.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: I opened up the escape zone there.
- 3:07SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, the the rent was right, you know, it's because my family owned the house.
- 3:12SPEAKER_02: So, but uh and when we were opening up, of course, you know, you gotta watch funds and everything.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: And I have my nephew working for us.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: He was just a senior in high school, and um he was our game master, and you know, that was the start of it.
- 3:29SPEAKER_02: Uh, and he got uh, we were there.
- 3:31SPEAKER_02: I I was actually, I believe, in a meeting when I got the call from Brendan.
- 3:35SPEAKER_02: Um, and he was just screaming in the phone, screaming coat orange and Cindy, coat orange, and come to find out there was a lot of things happening, and he got scared, and he ended up quitting on me.
- 3:47SPEAKER_02: And um, oh, a lot of people quit.
- 3:50SPEAKER_02: Uh Desi quit, and just you know, it was hard to keep help there, to be honest with you.
- 3:56SPEAKER_02: And that's when I started learning um about spirits because of the things that were going on there when it was escape zone.
- 4:05SPEAKER_02: Had to call help, ask for help from um you know, people that knew what was going on.
- 4:12SPEAKER_02: And the first person I called was Kristen Lee from the Blair House, and she was kind enough to explain everything to me.
- 4:20SPEAKER_02: And from there, um, you know, you just learn a little here, a little there.
- 4:25SPEAKER_02: I started doing some search of the history of the house, and um but uh as far as like um what I believe and what I don't believe, there's you know, I I think that um how can I put this?
- 4:39SPEAKER_02: Hmm, I you know, there's things I I think are maybe fabricated somewhat, and there's things that I I just don't believe when it comes to this type thing.
- 4:51SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, I think there's a lot of ready, you know, for TV purposes and stuff like that.
- 4:58SPEAKER_02: And um I could tell you in my house, I what I say and what happens in there and what I have experienced, there's no there's no fabrication uh on on my end at all.
- 5:11SPEAKER_02: And it's you know, the house is what it is, but um, yeah, there's um, I mean, people go on about the Ouija board and everything, and uh, you know, to me, I you know, I they say it brings in the devil and everything, and I don't believe that for one goddamn second, to be honest with you.
- 5:28SPEAKER_02: You know, I I just don't accept it, you know, and somebody's gonna have to prove it to me.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: And so far, nobody has.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: You're one of the few owners' places that are okay with the Ouija board being used, and your sense of like you don't really believe in it.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: It's just a tool, right?
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: Just a piece of equipment.
- 5:49SPEAKER_02: That's all it is.
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: You know, it's a damn board, it's a board, and if that board can direct you and into spelling out things, God bless you, right?
- 5:59SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, I'm okay, I'm okay with them using it.
- 6:02SPEAKER_02: You know, my house has never changed.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: There's not a single person who has ever said that goddamn devil's in my house, you know.
- 6:09SPEAKER_02: So it's just um you the house is the house is what it is, you know, and that board hasn't done shit in that house.
- 6:19SPEAKER_02: Now I have um proven things with the you know with the board.
- 6:26SPEAKER_02: And I had somebody ask me one time and tell they told me that um I don't know what I'm talking about, and it could be very, very true.
- 6:35SPEAKER_02: Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about because I'm not educated on a lot of this stuff, but when you're 70 years old, Ryan, you got your opinion, right?
- 6:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, until I'm proven wrong, I'm gonna stick with it.
- 6:46SPEAKER_02: But uh I did some experiments in the past and I've done it twice now.
- 6:52SPEAKER_02: And uh what I've done is I have taken groups and um and I set them down and I let I let them use the Ouija board and ask questions.
- 7:04SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 7:05SPEAKER_02: We did a few more experiments.
- 7:07SPEAKER_02: We went back to the Ouija board and I didn't tell them what I was gonna ask, okay, for the second time.
- 7:14SPEAKER_02: I set the same people back down at that Ouija board again.
- 7:18SPEAKER_02: I blindfolded them and I put headsets on them and I asked the same questions.
- 7:26SPEAKER_02: Neither time did anything happen on that damn board.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: Neither time, no movement whatsoever.
- 7:34SPEAKER_02: So, you know, I'm okay with seances in the house.
- 7:39SPEAKER_02: You know, if you want a seance, seance away.
- 7:42SPEAKER_02: If you want to scry, scry away.
- 7:44SPEAKER_02: What uh you know, whatever you you want to do, the house seems to just stay the same, no matter what they do.
- 7:54SPEAKER_02: Now, I do believe people can bring in negative energy of their own, right?
- 8:00SPEAKER_02: It ain't from that board, it's them bringing it in.
- 8:04SPEAKER_02: And um, I've been lucky to uh have a lady who helps to keep the house on a nice even keel, you know.
- 8:13SPEAKER_02: So I'm pretty happy with it, you know.
- 8:17SPEAKER_02: I'm very happy with the house.
- 8:19SPEAKER_02: It's coming along from when it first opened.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: Um so, like if someone's using a Ouija board and something dark did come in, not saying it's from the Ouija board, but more malevolent, would you question yourself then about the Ouija board about being used in the house?
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: No, because I wouldn't believe it came from that damn board.
- 8:40SPEAKER_02: I think that they they they just had it with them.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean it's probably so you don't know.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: Like I don't I'm not a fan of Ouija boards, I'm not a fan of dowsing rods because I think there's just too much human interference.
- 8:52SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 8:52SPEAKER_02: I think they could have been with any piece of equipment.
- 8:55SPEAKER_02: They could they it could have been any piece of equipment, they're gonna bring something bad in, right?
- 9:00SPEAKER_02: That's how I think.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: You know, it's I've been down there twice.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: I've I've never got really a bad feeling, Rosshouse.
- 9:08SPEAKER_02: No, I I you know I I know a lot of people, and uh maybe your people can tell me, you know, I think people want to experience all this negative, this darkness, and they want to see that.
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: That's what I pick up from a lot of people, you know.
- 9:26SPEAKER_02: Um I myself, what I want the house to be is about the spirits coming through and communicating and um them having a good time.
- 9:41SPEAKER_02: And and I have said this many, many times that um, you know, I just want them to enjoy themselves, whoever comes through, you know, just keep an open mind because uh the house seems to have a multiple, multiple spirits that come in, okay.
- 9:58SPEAKER_02: Some that are there quite a bit and others that float in and out, you know.
- 10:02SPEAKER_02: Um so that's what I want for my house anyway.
- 10:07SPEAKER_02: Just good good vibes, but uh good spirits, you know.
- 10:12SPEAKER_02: I I don't want um anything truly negative.
- 10:16SPEAKER_02: Right now, there is uh a spirit that has made his presence known uh actually for the last couple weeks.
- 10:24SPEAKER_02: Well, they didn't last week, or did they last week?
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think they did.
- 10:27SPEAKER_02: That I'll have to have Helen come in and you know and and address.
- 10:32SPEAKER_02: So there is one that has been kind of a little bit of a controller, maybe not evil, but a controller.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: You think that's from the antique store?
- 10:43SPEAKER_02: From what?
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: The antique store.
- 10:47SPEAKER_02: No, no, uh-uh.
- 10:49SPEAKER_02: I don't know where this one came from, but his name is Roger, and uh he's he's definitely a controller.
- 10:56SPEAKER_02: Um, he likes to control people, and he tried to control actually I was doing a Facebook Live right before this, and um he actually tried to control this one investigator last night where he couldn't raise his arms, he couldn't do anything.
- 11:11SPEAKER_02: He first made his presence known about a year ago, uh, and then we had nothing from him for quite a while, and Helen said he wasn't there anymore, and then all of a sudden he's popped back up again.
- 11:22SPEAKER_02: So you know, and and it really isn't.
- 11:25SPEAKER_02: I don't I don't want that type of energy in my house.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: No, I mean you're talking like paranormal people that want the dark stuff, and I don't think they really you got yeah, a few groups out there that go for that because whatever reason they want to, but a lot of people just want that.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: You know, we go out there, like I'll say hi to everybody that's commenting.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: Nacho's on Deborah Lynn and Lindsay.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: Hi, everybody.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: If you have any questions for Cindy, drop them in the comments.
- 11:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, let me know.
- 11:54SPEAKER_02: I can't see any of the comments.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: But yeah, if we're gonna, you know, but yeah, I mean, I think they like that little bit of fearfulness too, paranormal investigator.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's why I do a lot of solos and dark basements because it's but majority of paranormal people out there just want to try to get answers, you know.
- 12:15SPEAKER_02: I that I I like, I like that, you know.
- 12:19SPEAKER_02: I really do like that, you know.
- 12:21SPEAKER_02: Just get you know, try to find out something about that spirit, get the answers.
- 12:27SPEAKER_02: I mean, give me a good for instance, okay?
- 12:30SPEAKER_02: We uh at the very beginning, we had the spirit by the name of Alfred.
- 12:34SPEAKER_02: That's all we got was Alfred, right?
- 12:37SPEAKER_02: And it seemed that Alfred was uh didn't like women.
- 12:41SPEAKER_02: And little by we had an investigator, little by little, he kept finding out more and more information about him.
- 12:49SPEAKER_02: Found out that he passed away in a coal mine explosion.
- 12:53SPEAKER_02: Of course, my mind went immediately to the Willoughgrove coal mine, but it wasn't.
- 12:59SPEAKER_02: Okay, he ended up passing away at the Webb coal mine two miles down the road.
- 13:06SPEAKER_02: When the more information that he kept giving up, we we did some research, come to find out his name was Alfred Zakanini.
- 13:16SPEAKER_02: Okay, he lived directly across the street from the Ross House.
- 13:20SPEAKER_02: He passed away in 1925, so we we ended up with what they thought was the last name, and it was like a they said Zacchine, I forget how that was, but when I put when we put Alfred Z and then let it go, coal mine explosion, okay, then things started popping up, and then somebody actually sent me the thing, Alfred Zacchanini, Bel Air, Ohio.
- 13:51SPEAKER_02: He was one of the two from Bel Air that passed away in the web coal mine.
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: There was actually nine that passed away in that one, but uh yeah, he lived directly across the street.
- 14:02SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 14:02SPEAKER_02: Now that I love stuff like that because that's documentation and proof and intelligence.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: So yeah, our first time there, we got a lot of coal mine stuff, and I did some research, and it was interesting that the one coal mine that killed it might have been that one, it was seven or nine people.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: They called it we got like through the Estes, you know, not an accident murder and stuff like that.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: And we had to coal miner, yes.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: So I looked into it and there was no like murder explosion or anything, but the one that I don't know if I emailed you all this when we first did it, but it was kind of odd.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: The story was like a uh a lamp fell on a door and they couldn't exit and they all died.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: Like I don't know how an oil lamp just falls against a coal.
- 14:59SPEAKER_04: It was a fire, right?
- 15:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it was a fire.
- 15:02SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 15:03SPEAKER_04: But yeah, they couldn't exit.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they couldn't exit, but like I just kind of seem weird.
- 15:09SPEAKER_02: We got murder and not an accident, then coal mine, like maybe yeah, and then they got my what I thought I heard was some of they split some of the coal miners split into two different groups, if I'm not mistaken, and then the ones that went to the one opening uh was the number one Alfred, one of the nine, and they're the ones that could didn't get out.
- 15:36SPEAKER_02: I think that's how that happened.
- 15:38SPEAKER_02: The group split up, yeah.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: But I mean I always talk about like Ross How seems like a like a bust station of spirits.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: Like the coal miners didn't die there.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: Everybody thinks that spirits are just stuck to where they died, you know, or you know, trapped there or whatever.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: But it seems like because we're asking not we, but all the paranormal people are coming in, and you're so welcoming for these spirits to come in.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: I think there's other spirits coming in trying to get their stories out too, which I think is kind of cool.
- 16:12SPEAKER_02: You know, um we seem to have women from a brothel that have taken up residency in the master bedroom, and that has been very interesting.
- 16:22SPEAKER_02: I mean, and I mean, what you know, it's like where in the hell did that come from, right?
- 16:29SPEAKER_02: And uh I can't find any documentation on this, and I love documentation.
- 16:36SPEAKER_02: My dad told me before he passed that there was a brothel on Guernsey Street, which is behind my the house.
- 16:45SPEAKER_02: Uh, he said, all that's left is the steps.
- 16:48SPEAKER_02: So I go back there one day and I did find a lot with steps now.
- 16:54SPEAKER_02: But I never did research to back up who owned that lot or anything, you know.
- 16:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but um I can't find documentation on it.
- 17:03SPEAKER_02: That's that's the thing.
- 17:04SPEAKER_02: But it comes through a lot, you know, a lot, yes, yes.
- 17:10SPEAKER_02: So why they're there, I I don't know, but um, yeah, nuts.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: So we were we were down there in June, my group.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: I mean, it was our fifth night straight doing investigations, so we were pretty deep.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so and we got the the store next to it.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, to be honest, we got some stuff in Ross House two times, but nothing like we had some good stuff, but that that antique store is pretty active.
- 17:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, lately it's been on fire, it hasn't, you know.
- 17:45SPEAKER_02: You never know what's you know, you never know, right?
- 17:50SPEAKER_02: Seems the crawler was actually um people were getting a lot with the crawler in the store the last time.
- 17:58SPEAKER_02: Um, in fact, they saw the crawler on the wall actually turn its head all the way around, which that's creepier than hell, you know.
- 18:07SPEAKER_02: Um only thing I could think of was the exorcist, but uh they said they saw it too.
- 18:12SPEAKER_02: So and Helen uh has told me that um the crawler is something she can't get rid of because it was never human.
- 18:21SPEAKER_02: Right um, and to me, uh you know, I've I helped my brother out a couple days, you know, every three days a week, and and um I I don't see anything myself when I'm in there, and I I really don't want to see anything in there, but yeah, I don't, but um yeah, it the store's been on fire lately.
- 18:43SPEAKER_02: The house was busy.
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: I mean, the house was active the last two days.
- 18:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I saw that the last two days, yeah.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: Lots of stuff going on, you know.
- 18:53SPEAKER_02: But uh, it goes through spells.
- 18:55SPEAKER_02: It's kind of odd um how that how this stuff works, you know.
- 18:59SPEAKER_02: You I can't predict it.
- 19:01SPEAKER_02: I just can't predict it.
- 19:03SPEAKER_02: Um, the only thing I could say that I have noticed in the couple years that I've been open is the house seems to respond better to certain people.
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: I could have somebody come in and I just absolutely adore them, but yet this might be their third trip and they just don't get a lot.
- 19:22SPEAKER_02: And then you have somebody else come in every time they come, they the house just you know, boom, boom, boom, boom.
- 19:28SPEAKER_02: It's it's active, and cat balls are going off what you know when they're opening up the damn door to their car to come in.
- 19:36SPEAKER_02: You know, it's I can't explain it, you know, how how it works, but you know, I can't demand.
- 19:43SPEAKER_02: I mean, I'm not their mama, right?
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: So I mean it's weird, like because I've been there twice.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: I mean, we got some stuff, but not a lot.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: It feels like something is there, it's just not presenting itself to us, so that's why we're gonna keep coming back because we know something's there, right?
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: Talk to us.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: I mean, I had that shadow in the basement down there, but I said the antique store was cool.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: I got some good EVPs out of the antique store.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: I'm still still trying to get through all the evidence.
- 20:13SPEAKER_03: Um, it's a lot, it's a lot to go through, you know.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: But I mean, yeah, I don't know.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: Is there a I my buddy did ask a question, what's your name?
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: And the name Julie came over.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: Over an EVP on my recorder.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: So I tried looking up Julie, but like there's just way too many.
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: So I mean, yeah.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: But yeah, but during that during that session, we're about to do an SS method, and we didn't start yet, but I had my recorder going.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: It was help me from a girl a lot.
- 20:47SPEAKER_02: Oh, in the house or in the store?
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: No, the dining room, the dining room room, the table room in the store.
- 20:54SPEAKER_04: Oh, the table room, okay.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: Okay, and they probably said it 20 times.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: A girl did like help me, help me.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: It was very far off, but you didn't hear it.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: Then but we didn't hear it at the time, obviously, because it's just on my digital recorder, but then the name Julie came over.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: Then a guy a guy's voice started coming over, and that was it was done.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: I got nothing like for another 40 minutes after that.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 21:20SPEAKER_04: Huh.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: So there's something there.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: So right, right, yeah.
- 21:26SPEAKER_02: That dining room area.
- 21:27SPEAKER_02: Um, I call it back in the diet in the daytime, it's called the dining room area.
- 21:32SPEAKER_02: Nighttime is called the seance room, you know.
- 21:36SPEAKER_02: But uh, that area is active, and the basement of the store is active, you know.
- 21:42SPEAKER_02: So we've gotten uh well, not myself, but others have gotten a lot in the basement.
- 21:47SPEAKER_02: So yeah, yeah.
- 21:49SPEAKER_02: But you also get us a lot of pe uh in that bathroom upstairs in the house, there's a woman who keeps asking for help.
- 21:57SPEAKER_02: Okay, and she's the one who keeps saying help.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: Me help me, my baby, my baby.
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: So we get that.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: I I don't know.
- 22:07SPEAKER_02: I I really don't know, you know.
- 22:10SPEAKER_02: But uh it that comes across quite a bit, and and they've actually we've caught a full-blown apparition of a woman at the bottom of the stairs of the house holding a baby.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so they posted that on Facebook.
- 22:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I you know, and I have no idea who that is.
- 22:27SPEAKER_02: Um I I don't know.
- 22:29SPEAKER_02: All the only thing I know is that uh Marie Getros, the owner before we bought the house, did not have that her and Fred did not have children.
- 22:38SPEAKER_02: So who this is from who this person is, I I don't know.
- 22:43SPEAKER_02: You know crazy how that stuff works.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: Besides Ross House, and we talked a little earlier before we started live, even in a lot of like mad cons and not madcons, paracons.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: Staying busy.
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: How have those been?
- 22:59SPEAKER_02: I've been having some fun.
- 23:00SPEAKER_02: Had some um I did uh Cresson, I did uh Hillcon, had a blast at Hillcon.
- 23:08SPEAKER_02: Um, and then I did one uh called the Haunted Garage in Avon, Ohio this past Saturday.
- 23:15SPEAKER_02: Oh, I did Fairfield, yeah.
- 23:17SPEAKER_02: So um I did one with Bill Rigby, uh Penn, uh Penn National, I think it's called.
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: Um, that was in March.
- 23:26SPEAKER_02: He has his very early, but yeah, I've been having some fun with them.
- 23:30SPEAKER_02: Um had a blast just this past Saturday at Avon, Ohio at the haunted garage put on by uh Jeff Hartz.
- 23:39SPEAKER_02: It was in uh the Crushers uh parking lot, Crusher Stadium Stadium parking lot, and it was packed from the time we opened until the time we closed down.
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: It never stopped, it never let up.
- 23:54SPEAKER_02: It was a lot of um Halloween enthusiasts, however, there was enough investigators and people curious about investigating, and I thought that I enjoyed that, you know, because they a lot of people never they've only been on like a public but never a private, and they are interested in tours.
- 24:19SPEAKER_02: So I really think I I might have helped my tour uh tour thing out a little bit.
- 24:24SPEAKER_02: If they ever get to the area, they'll call me.
- 24:26SPEAKER_02: So yeah, they I went through every one of them.
- 24:28SPEAKER_02: I was so unprepared for this, how big this event was.
- 24:32SPEAKER_02: I ran out of brochures, I ran out of uh business cards.
- 24:37SPEAKER_02: The product that I took with me, I I totally ran out of everything.
- 24:41SPEAKER_02: It was it was wonderful.
- 24:43SPEAKER_02: I'll do it next year for sure, and I'll take a lot more stuff with me.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna I'm gonna have to get down there sometime, one of these, hopefully.
- 24:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was very much a family event for sure.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, MadCon coming up.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: Always good one.
- 25:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, love Adam, you know, you gotta love Adam.
- 25:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, when I first start doing them, he uh he's the one who said, Sonny, if you you know, don't worry about the tent, we'll help you put it up.
- 25:14SPEAKER_02: And uh, you know, and he did.
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: They they his the help was wonderful.
- 25:18SPEAKER_02: Well, everybody's been great, you know.
- 25:20SPEAKER_02: That's some nice people how having some fun, you know.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so let's talk about that.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: Like, because right now, like paraunity is such a huge topic on Facebook.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: Um, some bullying going around, I guess you want to call it.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yes, between some groups.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: Um, I think bowling is just jealousy.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: That's the way I look at it.
- 25:42SPEAKER_02: Just don't um I I I don't understand it.
- 25:47SPEAKER_02: Um maybe youth.
- 25:50SPEAKER_02: I I don't know.
- 25:50SPEAKER_02: I don't I shouldn't say youth, but um, you know, you gotta you gotta step back from all that, you know, and just go out, do your thing, have fun, um, and just leave it at that.
- 26:05SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 26:06SPEAKER_02: Don't no no you and I know they want to call out fakes and things like that.
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: Um but man, you know, I I could tell you for myself, I don't have time for that bullshit.
- 26:21SPEAKER_02: Just you know, it it rem it reminds me of when my daughter was in eighth grade, right?
- 26:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and it was all drama, drama, drama, drama.
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: Who the shit needs that?
- 26:33SPEAKER_02: I I don't need that, I don't need that in my life anymore.
- 26:36SPEAKER_02: Went with that through that when she was, you know, in school, and you know, um I I think they just need to breathe.
- 26:45SPEAKER_02: Breathe and stop, just stop.
- 26:48SPEAKER_02: Go on about what you enjoy doing and you know, let other people just be.
- 26:53SPEAKER_02: Just let it be.
- 26:54SPEAKER_02: Because if there is people that are faking it, that sooner or later the people are gonna know, you know what I mean?
- 27:01SPEAKER_02: They're gonna they're gonna know.
- 27:03SPEAKER_02: I I just I've I've kept away from all that.
- 27:06SPEAKER_02: I yeah, you know, I I have I have just kept away from all that bullshit.
- 27:11SPEAKER_02: And somebody said something to me one time, and uh it it just made me laugh.
- 27:16SPEAKER_02: And they said to me, they says, Cindy, we hear that you you and the Blair house are fighting, the Ross House and the Blair house are fighting.
- 27:25SPEAKER_02: I go, or what?
- 27:26SPEAKER_02: They go, you're fighting.
- 27:28SPEAKER_02: You know, what the shit are we doing?
- 27:29SPEAKER_02: Throwing grass at each other?
- 27:31SPEAKER_02: I mean, come on now, you know, we're not no, it never happened, never did, and um you know, it's that's and that's how stuff gets started, right?
- 27:41SPEAKER_02: Oh big ass rumor that was not true one bit, and and then things can snowball, and um there was never no fighting, no no grass throwing or nothing like you know, so yeah, it's crazy how things get out of hand.
- 27:59SPEAKER_01: Uh they do, you know.
- 28:01SPEAKER_02: I I stay in my little lane, Ryan.
- 28:04SPEAKER_02: I stay in my little lane, and uh you know, and uh I'm so happy with that.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: That's good.
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: I mean, me personally, like the whole fake stuff, like there's no reason to call them out because they know they're fake.
- 28:19SPEAKER_01: Yep, yep.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: I'm fine with that.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: That's they have to live with that, you know.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: They have to live with it.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: I mean, my personality, would I love to call people out?
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I would love to get in an argument with people because that's what I like to do.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: I love playing devil's advocate.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: I know it wouldn't go great, but if I called you out, like prove yourself then to me.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: That's that's all I want.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm not gonna call people out, but I mean, if I did call someone out and I'm saying hey, you're fake, I want that argument back of why they're not.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: If you can't do that, then oh well, that's that's on you.
- 28:55SPEAKER_02: I I think too, people need to be cautious on what they say on Facebook, okay.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: We're talking para unity with uh groups.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I have two rules in my group, pretty much.
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: You don't fake stuff and no drama.
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: That's it, it's all I asked for.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: You do one of those two things, like fake faking stuff, it's one time and you're out of the group.
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: I don't care.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: And I have to have proof of that.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: If I can prove that you faked some evidence, you're done.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: Like, sorry, you're out of the group.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: That's just the way I am.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: We're not in this the fake evidence, right?
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: But drama, yeah.
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: I don't I hate drama too.
- 29:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but groupwise group-wise, pair unity.
- 29:40SPEAKER_00: How about the owners of these places?
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: You know, I mean, I'm sure you met a few.
- 29:44SPEAKER_02: I mean, yeah, so what I have found so far with the ones that I have met, it has been wonderful.
- 29:52SPEAKER_02: Um, Kristen Lee was the one who actually convinced me to open this place up, right?
- 29:59SPEAKER_02: I mean, so that's all good, right?
- 30:03SPEAKER_02: Um Carlos, who has um the haunted Bilmar.
- 30:08SPEAKER_02: I mean, he's been great.
- 30:10SPEAKER_02: He's very nice and everything.
- 30:12SPEAKER_02: And you know, we've at the very beginning we talked and he gave me a few pointers and everything.
- 30:17SPEAKER_02: Um, who else have I met?
- 30:20SPEAKER_02: Um the guy from Rain Rainworth, uh, from Indiana, the the lodge.
- 30:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I haven't.
- 30:28SPEAKER_02: I met him.
- 30:29SPEAKER_02: Very, very nice.
- 30:31SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, helped me put my tent up.
- 30:34SPEAKER_02: We chit-chatted and everything.
- 30:36SPEAKER_02: I have I haven't met a lot of owners, but um well, Nick and Bree.
- 30:42SPEAKER_02: I mean, Nick has the state house now.
- 30:44SPEAKER_02: I mean, he's like my son, you know.
- 30:47SPEAKER_02: Um, so no, I I've had nothing but positive um from house owners, and I I just haven't met a lot of them yet.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: I mean, yeah, they're out there, but I mean, like me as a parental investigator, I I've you know, we talked forever when we first met.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: That's a whole nother story because you shocked the hell out of me.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: Like we're just sitting there and like you're just talking about the crackheads on your porch, and you tell them oh, for God's sakes, yeah.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: You're like, hey, just go out there and tell them you're calling Sydney, they'll get the F out the porch, they know better.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: I'm like, what is going?
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: What's going on here?
- 31:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's not in a nice area of town, is what's happening there, you know.
- 31:37SPEAKER_02: But I I have to forewarn people because um, you know, they do come around and they, you know, I don't want them on my porch, and sometimes they do get curious, and then I have to go out there and shoe them away.
- 31:52SPEAKER_02: But what I have found out is, you know, number one, you know, they don't want the cops there, right?
- 31:59SPEAKER_02: So they're more than they're more than happy to leave real quick when when I tell them to get the hell out of there.
- 32:05SPEAKER_02: So, you know, they don't want they don't want any cops there by them.
- 32:09SPEAKER_02: So yeah.
- 32:10SPEAKER_02: But I have to make people aware because sometimes they go down to the street there to catch their ride, you know, and the worst one is definitely Toothless Tim.
- 32:21SPEAKER_02: And um, you know, that poor little son of a bitch, you know, he's you know, he's just uh I don't know, you know, he is what he is.
- 32:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so sad that he lives like that, you know.
- 32:34SPEAKER_02: And sometimes I just wonder about people, you know.
- 32:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm not scared, I'm not scared of them, but um I don't want them around.
- 32:46SPEAKER_02: I think they're scared of you.
- 32:48SPEAKER_02: I think they are scared of me, especially him.
- 32:52SPEAKER_02: You know, you gotta understand.
- 32:54SPEAKER_02: My um my kids just get on me something awful about that shit.
- 32:57SPEAKER_02: But um, I was in the casino business for 46 years, and um I had to deal with I was an executive host and a senior executive host.
- 33:09SPEAKER_02: So I had all the big, big high rollers, and I had to deal with a lot of people that sometimes had more money than damn brains.
- 33:18SPEAKER_02: And I had to take I had to travel with these people, and sometimes these people could get into trouble, and I had to, I had to always put my foot down and you know, just you you name it, it's it's happened.
- 33:33SPEAKER_02: And you know, I left one in jail in Vegas, you know, and he thought I was just gonna bail his ass out.
- 33:39SPEAKER_02: You know, you don't be flipping off cops, right?
- 33:42SPEAKER_02: You you know, you can't, you know, he's flipping off a cop.
- 33:46SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm lining it up for his wife to, you know, to do things, and oh my god, the things I had to put up with with these people, you know.
- 33:56SPEAKER_02: Um so I was used to dealing with jerks, and I mean some real jerks, you know, but I always had to hold my own and keep them in line the best I could until it got to where I had to break the tie and and let the cops take over, or the you know, sometimes they they just got their ass in big time trouble, so you know, gambling, drinking, you know.
- 34:25SPEAKER_02: So but um I was always used to handling people, so it so somebody like that that's just high and probably can't, you know, you go like that, they'd fall the hell over.
- 34:36SPEAKER_02: Anyhow, but that's I'm used to them.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: The gist of it is is you're running a business, you you don't have time for that shit.
- 34:43SPEAKER_02: I mean, don't don't have time, you know.
- 34:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's the gist of it.
- 34:49SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, yeah, talking about talking about the owners though.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: Like, I've met like you love talking to you every time we go down, and like last time we went down, I'm like, I'm not doing a walkthrough, I'm just gonna start investigating, and 40 minutes later we're still talking to you.
- 35:03SPEAKER_03: Like I enjoy talking to people, you know, I do.
- 35:10SPEAKER_00: It's you know, Charlie and Tanya from old hospital.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: Uh, I didn't get to meet Tanya yet, but Charlie was just a great, great guy.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: Oh I didn't do the walk, I didn't do a walkthrough, but he came in after, and my group did a walkthrough with him, then we talked for a while after that.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: It was great.
- 35:30SPEAKER_00: Um Adam, always always fun.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: High strength.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 35:35SPEAKER_02: But I'm busy guy, busy guy, you know.
- 35:39SPEAKER_02: Always moving, but I mean always on doing something.
- 35:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's you know, yeah, it's fun.
- 35:45SPEAKER_02: It is fun.
- 35:46SPEAKER_02: I I like finding, you know, finding out what the people do for a living and just bullshitting with them.
- 35:52SPEAKER_02: And yeah, you know, you kind of you know, you kind of get to know them somewhat and a little bit about them and everything, and you you kind of feel people out pretty good, you know.
- 36:02unknown: Yeah.
- 36:02SPEAKER_02: So I've only had one bad experience in that house with the, you know, with the dude, and um, you know, so you know I f I think I'm pretty damn lucky with the people that have come in.
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean the paranormal community is pretty, I don't want to say laid back, but you know, appreciative of people like you and all everybody else that opened this up to us.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: If not, we'd be doing the old school breaking in the houses, you know, trying to investigate.
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, calling Cindy, bail me out.
- 36:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, going to the graveyards, you know.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I've never done a graveyard yet.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: No, no, I just I have a hard time if they're haunted.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: Like, I just if personally, if I was dead, I wouldn't be hanging out in a graveyard.
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: That's my philosophy.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: But people keep telling me I have to go do one, they're haunted, and so one of these days I'll get to a graveyard, figure it out.
- 37:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I I don't know.
- 37:08SPEAKER_02: I mean, I've never, I mean, well, we I take that back.
- 37:12SPEAKER_02: I shouldn't say I've never been to a graveyard, I've never actually gone and investigated a graveyard.
- 37:17SPEAKER_02: Uh, because you know I don't investigate myself, right?
- 37:21SPEAKER_02: But um, I did do one thing, and that was um one of this one girl came in and she wanted me, uh she wanted to go around with me, and we were gonna go.
- 37:31SPEAKER_02: Dick, she says, Cindy, people like dirt, right?
- 37:34SPEAKER_02: I go, you gotta be kidding me.
- 37:36SPEAKER_02: She goes, No, people like dirt.
- 37:38SPEAKER_02: So we went around to different graves and um different places, and we we we got dirt.
- 37:44SPEAKER_02: I created little shadow boxes with dirt from uh some you know some different graves that people would know about, you know.
- 37:51SPEAKER_02: So it was weird.
- 37:53SPEAKER_02: I'm sitting here thinking, I'm putting dirt in a tube here, you know, and it's just uh big thing though.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: People collect dirt from different places, they do, they do, yeah.
- 38:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so I created some little shadow boxes with you know with the dirt from the different different graves and everything, but I haven't done a lot of it, but you know, just something.
- 38:15SPEAKER_02: Have fun.
- 38:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's fun.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: So Ross House, what else are you?
- 38:20SPEAKER_00: Um I know you've been redoing a lot of it.
- 38:22SPEAKER_00: What else do you have left to do there?
- 38:24SPEAKER_02: Well, there's there's a lot still to do.
- 38:27SPEAKER_02: Uh, you know, um, like oof, what I want to do up in the hallway, at the end of the hallway in the front of the house, there's some uh paper up that looks like wood.
- 38:39SPEAKER_02: It's just uh wallpaper from when it was still escape zone.
- 38:44SPEAKER_02: So in a couple months, I want to definitely steam off that paper, take that paper down in the winter time.
- 38:52SPEAKER_02: I want to uh redo the room that is the kids' room.
- 38:58SPEAKER_02: Okay, I definitely want to start that.
- 39:01SPEAKER_02: That is gonna be a big, big um job, to be honest with you, because I don't know what's above that ceiling.
- 39:09SPEAKER_02: And that's where I went the chinchilla room, that's where I actually ran into trouble uh when I was doing the chinchilla room over.
- 39:16SPEAKER_02: Ran into a lot of electrical and um carpentry trouble.
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: So yeah, that was getting biological, it's terrible.
- 39:28SPEAKER_02: Well, it's expensive, very expensive, you know, to handle.
- 39:33SPEAKER_02: So, but uh that's uh that's what I want to do is um at least get start with the one bit with the outside of the children's room, and then eventually I'm just saving up to start the inside of that room, but I still have the master bedroom that I still have a lot I want to do in there, so but um yeah, the wallpaper in that kids' room is getting ready to fall off the wall, so it's kind it's coming down on its own.
- 40:07SPEAKER_00: Nacho City absolutely love this, and it keeps your house looking nice.
- 40:10SPEAKER_00: I wish more people would take care of their properties.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know I mean I haven't been to a lot, I've been to a lot of places, but not a lot.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's kind of you're trying to get the back to where it was, right?
- 40:24SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, before the escape room, which is cool.
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: Um, Trans Allegheny is another one.
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: Actually, I really don't know any owners that I don't want to say profit, but they the money they make, they put a majority back into the building itself or the house itself.
- 40:43SPEAKER_02: I have, you know, people have said to me, and um, and I will address this, okay.
- 40:49SPEAKER_02: Um, my house, number one, is a small house.
- 40:53SPEAKER_02: This is not uh a big ass lunatic asylum or a seminary, it's nothing like that, it's no big thing.
- 40:59SPEAKER_02: My house is small, however, um, you know, people um think that my house or they they say, oh, I want to own a house because you know it could be a great way to make money.
- 41:15SPEAKER_02: And that I I opened it up with that thought in mind as well, because you know, why would I be doing this, right?
- 41:23SPEAKER_02: I mean, I want to meet people, but I also want to make a profit, right?
- 41:26SPEAKER_02: I'm not um, but there's a lot that people don't understand, and that is the fact that there's a lot of upkeep, even with smaller houses, there's a lot of upkeep.
- 41:39SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, for instance, you know, an old roof, right?
- 41:45SPEAKER_02: An old roof, you know how much a roof costs?
- 41:48SPEAKER_02: You know, I'm gonna tell you, I know how much a roof costs because I'm already getting estimates on this roof, and um so you know, I it costs a lot to make repairs.
- 42:02SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, labor's not cheap.
- 42:06SPEAKER_02: I when I was just redoing one room, there was the you know, I had a carpenter and an electrician in there at the same time, and I thought I was gonna lose my fucking mind because all I could see was the dollar bills just racking up and everything.
- 42:20SPEAKER_02: It's not as profitable as people think because you have insurance, you have uh your overhead of your electricity, water, um, you know, sewer, uh, air conditioning, and you know, and you gotta be um you gotta pay taxes, you gotta you're insured.
- 42:42SPEAKER_02: This stuff is it's not as much money as you think it is, you know.
- 42:47SPEAKER_02: But uh people say, well, if you're not making money, why are you doing it?
- 42:50SPEAKER_02: Well, I am making a little bit of money.
- 42:52SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, am I making a fortune?
- 42:55SPEAKER_02: No, no, it's a weekend business almost, you know, right now for me.
- 43:00SPEAKER_02: Would I like to go on a bus trip?
- 43:02SPEAKER_02: Hell yeah.
- 43:03SPEAKER_02: I'd like to go on a bus trip and enjoy myself, you know, have a nice little margarita or something, or but uh my the thing is I'm I'm having fun with it, and that's basically it.
- 43:16SPEAKER_02: And I I do want to restore the house um the best I can.
- 43:21SPEAKER_02: And the sad part is the pictures that I have are very, very limited on what it used to look like.
- 43:27SPEAKER_02: Okay, I mean limited.
- 43:30SPEAKER_02: I only had two pictures of what the one room looked like, and that was a picture of the um the cages with the chinchillas, and the other part of it was where I caught the corner of a desk.
- 43:48SPEAKER_02: However, I knew when when we took over the house, well, and I took over the house, I you know, I had to remove a big sink, so I knew there was a big sink in the chinchilla room.
- 43:59SPEAKER_02: But uh And a few other photos of the downstairs.
- 44:03SPEAKER_02: As I have pulled off old wallpaper, I have seen what it that type thing, but I'm limited.
- 44:10SPEAKER_02: So I can only I only vision what I believe it could have looked like.
- 44:16SPEAKER_02: And um I'm just trying my best to restore it to the best that I can, you know, and that's and it takes time, you know.
- 44:27SPEAKER_02: But um, I enjoy doing that part of it though.
- 44:30SPEAKER_00: You know, we were there like a year apart, and you did a lot just in that year, so yeah.
- 44:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's kind of cool.
- 44:38SPEAKER_00: I mean, but you look like uh I guess like Madison Seminary, you know.
- 44:43SPEAKER_00: Adam puts a lot into that, but it's mainly like you said, now you're talking fire systems.
- 44:50SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
- 44:51SPEAKER_00: I know and people are like, Well, why don't you make it to like it was?
- 44:55SPEAKER_00: But it kind of is like like Trans Allegheny.
- 45:00SPEAKER_00: I want to walk down that hallway and see the paint peeling off the walls, you know, it's just it's kind of cool.
- 45:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, but the middle, the middle they've redone like the nursing bedrooms or stations, and right immaculate up the middle, but then you get in the hallways, it's like the lead paint and bands flying at you.
- 45:21SPEAKER_00: I mean that's part of the paranormal experience.
- 45:24SPEAKER_02: I mean, I guess so people like people do like that.
- 45:27SPEAKER_02: Um, and the only place that's gonna look creepy in my place is gonna be the basement, okay?
- 45:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but um the spirits are there, you know what I mean?
- 45:37SPEAKER_02: They don't seem to mind that I'm fixing the place up, so making it back away what they're used to.
- 45:44SPEAKER_02: It I'm making it what I hope is um a good experience for people, you know, and what it could have possibly looked like back in the day compared to what I could see on the wallpaper that I have, you know, I do see the pieces of I have I got pieces of wallpaper and I could see that how beautiful that was, and just the little photos I got.
- 46:10SPEAKER_02: I that's all I have to go on, and then I just have to let my imagination and think back to what it was like, you know, when that wallpaper was popular back in the 40s, what might have gone with that.
- 46:22SPEAKER_02: So you know, but I I enjoy it, I do enjoy it.
- 46:27SPEAKER_00: That's good, yeah.
- 46:29SPEAKER_02: So it's it's good times.
- 46:31SPEAKER_00: One other thing I saw a post, I don't know what it was last year, maybe begin this year.
- 46:37SPEAKER_00: Um, did you have like a group of kids in there?
- 46:41SPEAKER_02: Definitely did, yes, yes.
- 46:44SPEAKER_00: So was that like like a paranormal walkthrough or just kind of like introduction to the house?
- 46:49SPEAKER_02: It was a um it was a um a scout group, okay, that kind of grew.
- 46:55SPEAKER_02: And we had an experienced um team who actually that team was approached by these uh scouts, and they asked if they could come in and do the house and do the store, and they did.
- 47:08SPEAKER_02: And I really enjoyed that.
- 47:11SPEAKER_02: Um, it was a learning experience for them.
- 47:13SPEAKER_02: They had a great time.
- 47:15SPEAKER_02: I would like to have more of that sort of thing.
- 47:18SPEAKER_02: I would like to do more tours of the house, to be honest.
- 47:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:23SPEAKER_02: So, like look just two-hour tours or mini tours, that type thing.
- 47:28SPEAKER_02: I think I thought pretty cool because I forget we're a lot of those kids watch, you know, these shows and everything.
- 47:35SPEAKER_02: So you like to let them become, and I know this team was excellent with it, uh, they let them become little mini investigators.
- 47:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 47:44SPEAKER_02: They explained the equipment to them and had a good time.
- 47:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I forget who I was talking to.
- 47:51SPEAKER_00: Like they were saying there's actually starting to be like some paranormal like groups and high schools and stuff, like as a club.
- 48:00SPEAKER_02: There it is.
- 48:01SPEAKER_02: There is some.
- 48:02SPEAKER_02: Um, I know there's one, I believe there's one in West Liberty.
- 48:07SPEAKER_02: I'm almost positive.
- 48:09SPEAKER_02: That's where they were from.
- 48:10SPEAKER_02: West Liberty.
- 48:11SPEAKER_02: Um, however, that particular group, number one, the funding, they just don't have the money, right?
- 48:19SPEAKER_02: So they have to stick right now with going to the graveyards and things like that.
- 48:23SPEAKER_02: But yeah, you know, there there are small groups out there like that.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: I think it's neat as long as you have the people that are teaching them right, you know.
- 48:35SPEAKER_02: Absolutely, yes, absolutely.
- 48:37SPEAKER_02: And the the group that brought them out definitely taught them right.
- 48:42SPEAKER_02: Okay, there was nobody out there willy-nilly doing anything, it was very, very controlled with parents there, also.
- 48:50SPEAKER_02: That's cool.
- 48:51SPEAKER_02: Okay, yeah, so they weren't by themselves ever.
- 48:55SPEAKER_02: And um, all the response was excellent.
- 48:58SPEAKER_02: Uh, my thing is I don't um I would like for more groups to come.
- 49:04SPEAKER_02: And I don't I want them to understand that it doesn't, you know, the paranormals doesn't have to be spooky, right?
- 49:11SPEAKER_02: It they can come in and have a good time, learn about the equipment, see if something happens, and just enjoy themselves.
- 49:19SPEAKER_02: So, yeah, I would love to do more of that.
- 49:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm trying to promote that.
- 49:25SPEAKER_00: Should I mean it's that's kind of cool.
- 49:27SPEAKER_00: I mean, as long as you said you have the right group doing it.
- 49:29SPEAKER_00: Definitely don't want like Zach Bagan's in there teaching his little kids.
- 49:33SPEAKER_02: No, no, not at all.
- 49:35SPEAKER_02: You know, yeah, it's gotta be the right, the right, uh, the right group um for the tours.
- 49:41SPEAKER_02: Um, I would do the I would do the tours myself, these small tours, and I and it would just be like six people max, right?
- 49:49SPEAKER_02: Just six people max, and we go two hours in the house, and they're with me the entire time, and you know, and I I think I could handle six kids, so yeah, you know.
- 50:00SPEAKER_00: It's it's cool that you're doing that.
- 50:02SPEAKER_00: It's actually community-based.
- 50:04SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's what it's about to.
- 50:06SPEAKER_00: So what else is going on?
- 50:08SPEAKER_00: Anything else?
- 50:09SPEAKER_00: Any big plans?
- 50:11SPEAKER_00: Antique store.
- 50:12SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 50:13SPEAKER_00: I gotta get back down there.
- 50:14SPEAKER_00: Would you just rent the antique store out to me, out the house?
- 50:18SPEAKER_02: We never just rent the antique store out.
- 50:20SPEAKER_02: Never, never.
- 50:21SPEAKER_02: Because number one, you can't go, you can't go out the opening.
- 50:25SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 50:26SPEAKER_00: Okay, you can't do it.
- 50:28SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 50:28SPEAKER_00: So they do sage or whatever.
- 50:32SPEAKER_00: They do.
- 50:33SPEAKER_00: I don't really do much.
- 50:34SPEAKER_00: It's just me.
- 50:35SPEAKER_02: It's got a funny story on Sage.
- 50:38SPEAKER_02: Way back when um when I was first introduced to Sage, um, they said, You gotta go, you know, you you know, you gotta go and you gotta sage your house, and you gotta do this and you gotta do that.
- 50:49SPEAKER_02: And it was at the very beginning where uh they were telling me I had to take control of my place.
- 50:56SPEAKER_02: And I thought, well, I have my grandkids coming down, and um, I thought, okay, can't let anything interfere with that, right?
- 51:03SPEAKER_02: So I got the sage out and I had this lift the stick, and I'm going around, and then I've started thinking about this Alfred and all this, you know, things that he's said and done, and I'm going around going, Don't even even think about doing anything to my grandkids, you son of a bitch, you know.
- 51:20SPEAKER_02: I'm just like waving this shit around, and and I'm like, oh Cindy, you know, I just did it.
- 51:27SPEAKER_02: And I'm told I'm doing it all wrong.
- 51:29SPEAKER_02: You don't call, you don't call them out, you don't call them names, Cindy, and you know, so you know, I I've made my mistakes, Ryan.
- 51:38SPEAKER_00: I figured nothing's really gonna attach me, come home, because I'm kind of an asshole, and no one wants to be with me.
- 51:44SPEAKER_00: So they they probably last about 10 minutes with me and be like, yeah, I'm going back to the Ross house, you know.
- 51:51SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's so funny.
- 51:53SPEAKER_03: That is so funny.
- 51:54SPEAKER_03: So you know, I want to attach to this dude here, you know.
- 51:58SPEAKER_02: Oh, that is too much.
- 51:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 52:00SPEAKER_02: But I who knows how these I mean, I don't get them.
- 52:04SPEAKER_02: I mean, you know, I don't know, you know.
- 52:08SPEAKER_02: But they're there.
- 52:09SPEAKER_02: I believe in them.
- 52:10SPEAKER_02: I do I believe in them.
- 52:12SPEAKER_02: I believe there's a lot of bullshit out there, but I do believe in them.
- 52:15SPEAKER_02: And I, you know, and I know they're I know they're at my house, you know.
- 52:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 52:18SPEAKER_02: So and I know that people experience things.
- 52:22unknown: Yeah.
- 52:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, good house there, yeah, good.
- 52:26SPEAKER_00: Everything you do down there is great.
- 52:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, Belair is we're just not talking Ralph's house, but Belair is a city, it's just a hot spot for paranormal.
- 52:35SPEAKER_02: It is, it's that land, it's the land, and it's it's I believe it's that ley line and um that things that I guess the people that used to live there, the things are just kind of it's still there, like they left an imprint or something, you know, and um and I and I know I've learned a lot about residual energy and all that, and um, you know, it's it's just it is a hot spot.
- 52:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, definitely.
- 53:00SPEAKER_00: I mean you got lay lines yet, Native American battles there.
- 53:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 53:04SPEAKER_00: And a clan was a huge presence there, coal mine.
- 53:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, definitely was.
- 53:09SPEAKER_02: You know, I don't tell a lot of people about that how big the clan was there, but yeah, definitely was there.
- 53:14SPEAKER_02: I got the photos, you know.
- 53:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so yeah, you open up Ross House to paranormal investigators.
- 53:22SPEAKER_00: I think more spirits are gonna come in and talk, and I don't think they're gonna be bad spirits.
- 53:27SPEAKER_00: I think just spirits that want to come in and say, Hey, I'm gonna tell my story too.
- 53:33SPEAKER_02: You know, uh Yeah, I think that I maybe they feel safe there.
- 53:38SPEAKER_02: I I don't know.
- 53:40SPEAKER_02: Um, but I I think that sometimes they they do feel safe at the house.
- 53:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I wonder if you have just something there that's saying like bad stuff keep out, like this is a safe space.
- 53:54SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 53:55SPEAKER_00: Because a few times I a couple times I've been there, I've never felt like uncomfortable there.
- 54:00SPEAKER_00: So it always feels safe.
- 54:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and and I hope it always stays that way.
- 54:06SPEAKER_02: And I contribute that to Helen um helping and um whatever she does, and um you know I I don't you know I I know people, you know, well they talk about the devil and all that, but uh there ain't no devil in my house, you know.
- 54:27SPEAKER_00: No.
- 54:29SPEAKER_00: I don't think I mean Bel Air House supposedly.
- 54:33SPEAKER_00: I don't think anything demonic is there.
- 54:36SPEAKER_00: I've been there twice.
- 54:37SPEAKER_00: Um I think something's mean there, angry.
- 54:41SPEAKER_00: I don't think anything demonic is there.
- 54:45SPEAKER_00: People love to Bel Air House because it's dark.
- 54:49SPEAKER_02: That's true.
- 54:50SPEAKER_02: And uh Christian's done a real good job uh with her place, you know.
- 54:55SPEAKER_02: But um we you know, our history is pretty much the same.
- 55:00SPEAKER_02: Different owners, hers was the Heatheringtons, and mine was um, you know, Captain John Fink.
- 55:05SPEAKER_02: Um you know, but um it's the land, it's just the land, you know, and it's crazy, it's a crazy business, but it's interesting, you know.
- 55:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, would you have thought 10 years ago you'd be doing this?
- 55:25SPEAKER_02: Hell no.
- 55:29unknown: No.
- 55:31SPEAKER_00: Really, if it wasn't for your nephew being scared all the time and quitting, where would you be?
- 55:36SPEAKER_02: I mean probably vacationing more.
- 55:40SPEAKER_00: Probably probably enjoy life a little bit.
- 55:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 55:44SPEAKER_02: I mean, I that's true because it was him that uh was scared that got pretty much got distarted, you know, and and Kristen got a team together and came down to the house.
- 55:55SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, and she's the one who explained everything to me.
- 55:59SPEAKER_02: But um no, I would have never dreamed.
- 56:02SPEAKER_02: Um it's been a learning experience.
- 56:05SPEAKER_02: Um, but it's I I could tell you I've met so many nice people, and uh it's been fun.
- 56:14SPEAKER_02: So far, it's been fun.
- 56:15SPEAKER_02: As long as I'm having fun, and as long as the people that come have fun, I'm good with that house.
- 56:21SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 56:22SPEAKER_02: That that's basically it.
- 56:24SPEAKER_02: And um, and do I want to keep making that house look nicer?
- 56:27SPEAKER_02: I do, and that is something that drive it does drive me uh to to do that, you know.
- 56:34SPEAKER_02: Um, does has the house interfered with me having some fun?
- 56:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it has.
- 56:41SPEAKER_02: You know, because I then like my friends, we you know, we go, they say, Well, we're gonna all go have dinner, and I'm going, oh man, I don't can't, you know, investigators ain't getting here until 7 30.
- 56:52SPEAKER_02: And they goes, Well, we'll be at the house or at the the steakhouse by then.
- 56:56SPEAKER_02: I'm like, shit, you know.
- 56:59SPEAKER_02: But um, but other than that, no, I mean it's it's been great, you know.
- 57:04SPEAKER_02: And sometimes I'm not at the house, and um and I have to have my brother go and actually do the tour for me.
- 57:12SPEAKER_02: And um, you know, he he does a little bit, but I came up with uh little videos I'm sending people so that Rick doesn't have to do that, you know.
- 57:20SPEAKER_02: My brother's very, very quiet, so you know, he's not the mouthy one of the family, or the talkative one, I should say, not mouthy, talkative one.
- 57:30SPEAKER_00: So nacho, I guess Nacho's going there.
- 57:35SPEAKER_00: Yes, 28th.
- 57:37SPEAKER_00: Oh Verona Ghost Chasers.
- 57:40SPEAKER_03: Yes, oh yes, yeah.
- 57:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he's good, great group.
- 57:44SPEAKER_03: I love them.
- 57:45SPEAKER_03: I love them.
- 57:46SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, they're good people, yeah.
- 57:51SPEAKER_00: That's the thing, doing these podcasts, like you know, I met like paranormal girls, they're Iowa.
- 57:59SPEAKER_00: Um, MT Paranormal, she's Oklahoma.
- 58:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm meeting a lot of great groups, a lot of great people doing this.
- 58:07SPEAKER_00: That's like I enjoy doing the podcast right now, but he's like, you know, I talked about this before too doing Ross House and Bel Air House at the same night, two different groups.
- 58:18SPEAKER_00: See if there is a connection because there's always that rumor that there's a connection between Bel Air House and Ross House.
- 58:25SPEAKER_04: That's what they say, you know.
- 58:27SPEAKER_00: I don't get it because Bel Air's darker and Ross is like Yeah.
- 58:33SPEAKER_02: The energy is different.
- 58:34SPEAKER_02: I think the energy is different.
- 58:37SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, her house is very, very well known.
- 58:40SPEAKER_02: My house is not well known, and I'm okay with that.
- 58:43SPEAKER_00: I think it's getting there.
- 58:45SPEAKER_02: People know yeah, yeah, people are starting to find out more.
- 58:49SPEAKER_02: Um, but um, yeah, I mean we're we're we got the same history, but you know, it is different, you know.
- 58:57SPEAKER_02: Um her house is a lot bigger than my house, too.
- 58:59SPEAKER_02: My house is a lot smaller than her house.
- 59:02SPEAKER_02: But uh yeah.
- 59:05SPEAKER_00: All right, Nacho will have to get that together.
- 59:08SPEAKER_00: I think we talked about it when I did a podcast with Verona about doing that.
- 59:15SPEAKER_00: But yeah, we'll get that together sometime.
- 59:17SPEAKER_00: We'll do dual investigations to those two places.
- 59:20SPEAKER_00: So I don't find a mimic at your house.
- 59:23SPEAKER_00: That was one of the rumors that there's a mimic at Bell Air House, and it comes over to Ross House.
- 59:29SPEAKER_00: I I don't see that connection yet.
- 59:34SPEAKER_00: But I know there's a mimic at Bellar House.
- 59:40SPEAKER_00: All right, so anything else you want to say, Cindy, before we get off.
- 59:46SPEAKER_02: Oh well, if you guys are interested in booking or if you want to tour the house, you know, um, you can call me.
- 59:55SPEAKER_02: Um, definitely give me a buzz.
- 59:57SPEAKER_02: More than happy to, you know, uh set up a tour for you or set up an overnight investigation.
- 1:00:03SPEAKER_02: The house is um, you know, it's air conditioned, it's goddamn friggin' hot out there, man.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_02: You know, um, so the house has air conditioning, window air conditioning.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_02: You can spend the whole night, you don't have to leave, you know.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_02: Just, you know, stay the night.
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_02: There's bedding and everything, and I try to keep it nice and keep the bedding fresh for everybody.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_02: Um, bathroom, shower, whatever you need.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_02: It's all there.
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_02: You know, just call me, set it up.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_02: I I think everybody has a good time.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_02: I people um people all well, they tell me they enjoy themselves.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_02: So I hope you'll give it, you know, come out and give it a shot if you're interested in um in the paranormal and investigating.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_00: I'll tell everybody right now.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_00: I've been out there twice, plan on going back.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_00: Um, I don't know about this year, I got some other stuff, but if I can do it this year, I'll come out this year.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_00: But go out to the Ross house.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_00: Um, great owner, good conversation.
- 1:01:04SPEAKER_00: And the beds are comfortable.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_00: I fell asleep in the other last time I was there, I fell asleep in there doing an investigation.
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_00: So yeah, yeah, you if you have a little bigger group, get that antique store attached to it for a little couple extra bucks, and it's worth it.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_00: But you know, definitely worth the trip out there.
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_00: It's a cool area, a lot of history.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_02: So there is a lot of history.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_02: That's and that's something that people need to find out more about, and you know, and that's why I really try to give a thorough tour and explain about the town.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_02: And um, and I'll tell you that uh if you do come, expect me to right because I want you to totally get it when you come.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_02: It's not just uh a quick little 10 minutes, 15 minutes, and I'm out of there.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_02: We're gonna spend probably 45 minutes together talking uh before I I I leave.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_02: So yeah, we'll have some fun.
- 1:02:04SPEAKER_00: I I'll tell everybody there, it'll be an entertaining 45 minutes.
- 1:02:09SPEAKER_00: It always is.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
- 1:02:13SPEAKER_00: Again, anybody that wants to do paranormal investigation contacts in the Ross House, it's unbelievable.
- 1:02:20SPEAKER_00: Um, you can look at the Facebook, the Ross House, or just Google it, it'll come up.
- 1:02:26SPEAKER_02: So yeah, follow me on Facebook.
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_02: Everything, every time somebody goes in to investigate, they're in the kitchen, there's dry erase boards.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_02: And after they leave, uh, when I go in to sweep up and everything, I I take a snapshot of my um my boards.
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_02: So whatever they post, that's what I put up there.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_02: If they have a busy night, that's what gets posted.
