  The Pharisees were the reformers of their time who sought to

  tighten up things to be more careful in observing the law of

  Moses in a LAX and careless day. This is seen from the Pharisees

  prayer in Luke 18 verse 11. I thank thee that I'm not as the

  rest of men. And he really believed it.

  It is the unconscious hypocrite that is so common.

  He does not know, but he should know, for he has the word of God
• 0:30
  if he would but apply it to his own heart and conscience and
• 0:33
  life. Men do not do this, and
• 0:35
  therefore they break God's law while they think they do it.

  Sadly, it's the same today. In order to avoid becoming
• 0:41
  unconscious hypocrites, we must constantly challenge our hearts
• 0:45
  with Christ's words. From Mark 7 verse 6.

  This people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far
• 0:51
  from me. Is this true of us today?
