- 14:03Speaker 6: and I love doing it. Some people like to wait
- 14:05Speaker 6: till after Thanksgiving and to each his own.
- 14:07Speaker 2: I like it right after Halloween.
- 14:09Speaker 3: I really think like this year in particular, it feels
- 14:13Speaker 3: like Christmas is quicker. Like all the stores even before
- 14:17Speaker 3: Halloween was here, all had their Christmas stuff out. Yes,
- 14:20Speaker 3: and Christmas music is playing everywhere. I feel like, I
- 14:23Speaker 3: don't know.
- 14:24Speaker 2: What it is about this year, but we just want
- 14:25Speaker 2: our joy a little bit sooner.
- 14:27Speaker 6: Yes, I agree, and it is. I feel like it's
- 14:29Speaker 6: about memories and traditions this time of year and this season,
- 14:34Speaker 6: and I think people are looking for something to sort
- 14:37Speaker 6: of like grasps too, and I think that Christmas music
- 14:40Speaker 6: and traditions is a way to do that.
- 14:42Speaker 3: We get a lot of messages from ninety six to
- 14:45Speaker 3: five of like, flip the switch.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Flip the switch. Do you get anywhere? They're like, when
- 14:49Speaker 2: are you going to flip the switch?
- 14:50Speaker 5: Yes?
- 14:51Speaker 6: Yes, I have a couple of people some email one
- 14:54Speaker 6: one sweet guy emails me pretty much every month and
- 14:57Speaker 6: he knows it's going to be you know, in November,
- 15:00Speaker 6: but I just have to say, keep waiting for it.
- 15:02Speaker 6: But in the summer July. I think there's a weekend
- 15:04Speaker 6: of like Christmas in July, and he's like, I'm ready
- 15:07Speaker 6: for it. I'm like, okay, but it's not gonna happen
- 15:09Speaker 6: right now.
- 15:11Speaker 2: So yeah, so they'll message me.
- 15:12Speaker 6: And then, especially right after Halloween, I get a lot
- 15:14Speaker 6: of messages.
- 15:15Speaker 2: And it's a hard secret to keep because we don't
- 15:17Speaker 2: really say anything until the day off.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I know, I know.
- 15:21Speaker 5: Well, there's only one question that people have been wanting
- 15:23Speaker 5: to know. Okay, what's your favorite Christmas song of all time?
- 15:27Speaker 3: Oh?
- 15:27Speaker 6: Gosh, I do love Andy Williams, the one that we
- 15:30Speaker 6: start with every time, the most wonderful time of the year.
- 15:34Speaker 6: And I also like a lot of the kids songs,
- 15:36Speaker 6: like Frosty the Snowman. But I also like being Crosby,
- 15:40Speaker 6: Like I just it's all of them.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Christmas.
- 15:43Speaker 6: I used to love that song about the shoes, the
- 15:46Speaker 6: Christmas shoes. That was so sad, but I loved it,
- 15:49Speaker 6: but now I can't. I don't know, it just it
- 15:50Speaker 6: brings back so many like tears, so I don't listen
- 15:53Speaker 6: to that one as much, but I do.
- 15:54Speaker 2: I love it.
- 15:55Speaker 6: It's sweet and it's just I like that one.
- 15:57Speaker 2: It's good. Well, Claire, we appreciate you. Thanks for lpp
- 16:00Speaker 2: in the switch today. We couldn't do it without you.
- 16:03Speaker 2: I appreciate it. Y'all are awesome. Thank you so much.
- 16:05Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Okay, we got to set the scene Producer Blake.
- 16:11Speaker 3: On Monday, we found out had lied to his girlfriend
- 16:15Speaker 3: about something that he may or may not have lost
- 16:18Speaker 3: or broke in her apartment.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Helping her move.
- 16:20Speaker 4: That is correct.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Then he spent an hour helping her look for a
- 16:24Speaker 3: said ring that he already knew he may or may not.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Have broken or lost.
- 16:28Speaker 4: That is also correct.
- 16:29Speaker 2: He did not say anything to said girlfriend.
- 16:35Speaker 7: And then we called Producer Blake's pastor, yes, and explain
- 16:39Speaker 7: the situation. We made Producer Blake confess to his pastor
- 16:42Speaker 7: on Monday. I just want to remind you, this is
- 16:45Speaker 7: what your pastor said when we told him what you did.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Why would heed?
- 16:54Speaker 2: And I know last night you went to church with
- 16:56Speaker 2: your girlfriend. Yes, how did that go?
- 16:59Speaker 4: I'll be honest.
- 17:01Speaker 5: Not much was said except for he kept making a
- 17:03Speaker 5: little digs at me and looking at me. You're in
- 17:06Speaker 5: the whole they're in the whole lesson. He'd be like, like,
- 17:10Speaker 5: you know, sometimes you just gotta be better than the rest,
- 17:12Speaker 5: and he'd like stare at me. But no one in
- 17:16Speaker 5: there knew but you and your girlfriend. The worst part
- 17:21Speaker 5: was I think he was telling other people at church
- 17:23Speaker 5: that weren't in our class, because people kept bringing it
- 17:25Speaker 5: up to me, saying, have you corrected?
- 17:27Speaker 3: You're wrong?
- 17:31Speaker 4: So he didn't really bring me.
- 17:33Speaker 5: Up during the lesson, but I think he was having
- 17:35Speaker 5: a little like tea party with all these people that
- 17:38Speaker 5: kept coming up to me, going, did you find the ring?
- 17:41Speaker 4: I said, how do you know about this? About all this?
- 17:44Speaker 5: They're like yeah, They're like, you're on the radio. I said,
- 17:49Speaker 5: you don't listen to me when you talk about They're like,
- 17:51Speaker 5: we heard.
- 17:54Speaker 2: I hope your pastor plays the whole podcast. I hope
- 17:57Speaker 2: he plays that whole.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Conversation with him at Sunday sermon, Oh are you going
- 18:02Speaker 3: on Sunday?
- 18:03Speaker 4: I go every day.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Oh, I bet he's gonna.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Really do it on Sunday when more, when the whole
- 18:08Speaker 3: congregation is there.
- 18:10Speaker 5: I'm starting to think that maybe it's more of an
- 18:13Speaker 5: inside job more than it is he's going to make a.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Public what is what is your girlfriend say about it?
- 18:18Speaker 3: Did y'all ever have a conversation because we also called
- 18:22Speaker 3: Producer Blake's girlfriend on the show.
- 18:23Speaker 4: She just says I'm stupid, which I'll be honest with you.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Point taking.
- 18:31Speaker 3: You know, here on the Alabama Show, we're here to
- 18:33Speaker 3: help you grow, Producer Blake, because.
- 18:35Speaker 2: We know you're a budding young man. One day you're
- 18:37Speaker 2: going to get married, and we're helping you transition from
- 18:41Speaker 2: college bro to married dude.
- 18:47Speaker 5: I like that.
