Transcript
- 0:07Speaker 1: Welcome to Brief Recess. I'm Michael Foote.
- 0:08Speaker 2: I'm Melissa Malbrant.
- 0:09Speaker 1: This week, we're going to talk about all the Trader's Tea,
- 0:12Speaker 1: Katie Zachariah, George Santos, Tucker Carlson, and his hair, my
- 0:16Speaker 1: unaccredited high school slut health class. We're going to talk
- 0:20Speaker 1: about everyone who's getting bit and who's doing the biting.
- 0:23Speaker 1: We're going to answer all the questions from your DMs,
- 0:25Speaker 1: so stick around. We'll leave the water out there, but
- 0:30Speaker 1: I think it has a label on it.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Oh, so we're not walking in?
- 0:32Speaker 1: Yeah, we're... I'm walking in. Melissa, get in here. You're
- 0:36Speaker 1: under contract. You have to record. That was the walk-in?
- 0:39Speaker 1: That was the walk-in.
- 0:40Speaker 2: There was too much chatter for that to be a walk-in.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Do you have a better walk-in? We're not going to
- 0:45Speaker 1: reset the walk-in.
- 0:45Speaker 2: No, we'd have to reset the walk-in.
- 0:46Speaker 1: What are you drinking? What are you drinking? A little beverage?
- 0:51Speaker 1: Having a little Cosmo? No, not a Cosmo.
- 0:55Speaker 2: I am dehydrated. And Michael told me, have you tried
- 1:00Speaker 2: drinking water?
- 1:02Speaker 1: It's being helpful.
- 1:03Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:03Speaker 3: So helpful.
- 1:05Speaker 1: But I do that because I'm a headache early. And
- 1:08Speaker 1: people will always say, well, are you dehydrated? I'm like, yeah.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 1:14Speaker 2: What would I do without this wonderful advice?
- 1:17Speaker 1: 38, I hadn't thought to drink water up until now.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't drink enough water. Remember that time I
- 1:22Speaker 2: got dehydrated and I had to go to the hospital
- 1:24Speaker 2: to get like an IV?
- 1:25Speaker 1: No.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Yes, you do.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I don't remember that.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you do. Never mind.
- 1:29Speaker 1: You do. They gave you an IV. You had to
- 1:31Speaker 1: go to the hospital?
- 1:32Speaker 3: And you were just like, what is wrong with you?
- 1:34Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, I do. Yeah, what is wrong with you?
- 1:36Speaker 1: And then I got you that water bottle.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:39Speaker 1: And it tells you how much to drink.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Aguamenti.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Aguamenti, yeah.
- 1:42Speaker 2: I love that water bottle.
- 1:43Speaker 1: But yeah. And so you're clearly not using it, though,
- 1:45Speaker 1: if you're dehydrated today.
- 1:47Speaker 2: No. Oh.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I know. Baby.
- 1:51Speaker 2: The people want to know.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:53Speaker 2: The people want to know.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Is this our sidebar?
- 1:55Speaker 2: I don't know what this is. This is whatever it is.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Can we finally talk about traitors or no?
- 2:00Speaker 1: We can talk about traitors because they loaded me into
- 2:02Speaker 1: a cannon and shot me out of the castle. So
- 2:04Speaker 1: I'm finally out of there.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:06Speaker 1: They absolutely yeeted my ass so fast right from that
- 2:09Speaker 1: round table in those boots.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I saw that.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Diva down.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I know. You had me and Andre watching traitors.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Listen, and that's a win. That's a viewership. Screw the
- 2:18Speaker 1: 6 million people that tuned in. Yeah. You and Andre
- 2:21Speaker 1: actually really got into the tea. Yeah. We did. I
- 2:24Speaker 1: am shocked to find that the people who stopped me
- 2:26Speaker 1: and asked me about traitors are like 19. They're so young.
- 2:31Speaker 1: The viewers are so young.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Are they really?
- 2:33Speaker 1: Yes.
- 2:34Speaker 2: So full disclosure, when Michael told me he was going
- 2:38Speaker 2: to be on this show, I was like, what's traitors?
- 2:44Speaker 2: I am not well-versed in anything sort of reality TV.
- 2:49Speaker 3: It's not my jam at all.
- 2:51Speaker 1: It's like someone tells me that somebody from, they'll say,
- 2:54Speaker 1: you know, so-and-so from The Real Housewives is going to
- 2:57Speaker 1: be there. What's going on in the home?
- 3:01Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:01Speaker 1: A Real Housewife.
- 3:02Speaker 2: A Real Housewife, apparently.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:04Speaker 2: So I was like, really?
- 3:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:07Speaker 2: And I still don't think that I understand the premise
- 3:13Speaker 2: of this show.
- 3:14Speaker 1: That's what I love about it.
- 3:16Speaker 3: So, like, and, like, who's Alan Cummings?
- 3:20Speaker 1: Like, who's he playing? Why is he there?
- 3:22Speaker 3: Because, I mean, obviously, it's him, but not him, right?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yes, yes.
- 3:25Speaker 3: So, it's like a version of himself.
- 3:27Speaker 1: It's a caricature of himself. Yeah.
- 3:30Speaker 2: But I do, so.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Alan Cummings, your outfits.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I know. He's so good. Sam Spector does all his outfits.
- 3:35Speaker 1: They're so good.
- 3:36Speaker 2: So good. There was one outfit I was just.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Like, yes.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I know.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Want it, love it.
- 3:40Speaker 1: They're really great.
- 3:42Speaker 3: So good.
- 3:42Speaker 1: And he's in them all day. Like, he's in those
- 3:45Speaker 1: looks all day. So, I mean, it was fierce. It
- 3:48Speaker 1: was really fun to be on that set.
- 3:50Speaker 2: You know, and I wonder if he... when he's doing
- 3:54Speaker 2: his thing, right? Is there any part of Alan Cummings'
- 3:57Speaker 2: brain that is like, this is so campy, but I'm
- 4:00Speaker 2: going to lean into it. Michael, before you leave my
- 4:03Speaker 2: castle forever, like there's like a whole thing.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I think he's in bed just like giggling at how
- 4:09Speaker 1: silly it was.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Yeah, totally.
- 4:11Speaker 1: It was pretty insane. I mean, when we were burying
- 4:13Speaker 1: people alive, I was like, what? Is happening.
- 4:17Speaker 2: I have to tell you.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Where am I right now?
- 4:20Speaker 2: Did not feel like somebody watching it and feeling that
- 4:24Speaker 2: closed in feeling.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Not cool. Why was the camera straight up their fucking noses?
- 4:29Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I was like, thank God I'm not in there. People
- 4:32Speaker 1: would be cooking me online for that fishbowl lens. That
- 4:35Speaker 1: would be. Oh, man. A bald white dude in a
- 4:39Speaker 1: coffin with a fishbowl lens.
- 4:41Speaker 3: I mean, I don't think it matters.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Thank God I'm not up for murder from this episode
- 4:44Speaker 1: and I get to sit on the.
- 4:46Speaker 3: So, more questions. Yeah.
- 4:48Speaker 2: So, you were not murdered.
- 4:51Speaker 1: No.
- 4:51Speaker 2: You were just.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Banished.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Banished.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Yes. What's that? Watch the whole season. She's still figuring
- 4:57Speaker 1: out how the show works.
- 4:58Speaker 3: I just don't understand.
- 5:00Speaker 2: So, why is somebody... Like, Kim was murdered.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Right.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Right?
- 5:04Speaker 1: The traitor's murdered, Kim.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:06Speaker 2: And when do the traders start turning on each other?
- 5:08Speaker 2: Because that's coming. And I can't wait.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I cannot comment on any future episodes. But in most
- 5:14Speaker 1: seasons at some point, there's only, I think, been one
- 5:18Speaker 1: season where multiple traders have won the whole thing. And
- 5:21Speaker 1: in past seasons, it's usually just one trader or the
- 5:24Speaker 1: faithfuls win.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:27Speaker 1: The tea is piping, honey. Okay. It's getting really wicked
- 5:30Speaker 1: and wild. I'm still going to go to a bunch
- 5:32Speaker 1: of viewing parties. I'll probably be at a club coming
- 5:34Speaker 1: most Thursday nights. I just really love the space. It's
- 5:36Speaker 1: really fun. Everyone there is really chill. They're all fans
- 5:40Speaker 1: of the show. It's just like a nice... I did
- 5:42Speaker 1: one gig that was really big, and that was quite
- 5:47Speaker 1: stressful for me.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Because? Because.
- 5:49Speaker 1: It's just I get overstimulated and it's not enjoyable. If
- 5:52Speaker 1: there's a lot of people there in a big crowded
- 5:54Speaker 1: space and then I'm on TV and then I don't
- 5:56Speaker 1: see the episodes beforehand. I think people think that I'm
- 5:58Speaker 1: like in the editing bay. Like, no, I would never
- 6:02Speaker 1: use that one angle of the back of my head.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I would never have picked that. You know what I'm
- 6:06Speaker 1: talking about.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I know exactly what you're talking about.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Melissa called me and she said, why is your bald
- 6:10Speaker 1: head in the back of the lens? Just the camera
- 6:13Speaker 1: was an inch from the back of my head.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Well, because I think what I felt was really funny
- 6:16Speaker 2: about that entire thing is... And every time you all
- 6:20Speaker 2: had breakfast together, I was like, what is that layout
- 6:22Speaker 2: of the breakfast table? It was so bizarre to me. Like,
- 6:26Speaker 2: it didn't make any sense.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Who's on Wayfair looking up L-shaped table?
- 6:30Speaker 2: Well, obviously, they wanted to have it so that they
- 6:33Speaker 2: could see everybody, right?
- 6:35Speaker 3: But it didn't make any sense. It just looked really,
- 6:38Speaker 3: it looked real dumb, guys.
- 6:39Speaker 2: I'm just saying that to you.
- 6:40Speaker 1: It's so funny because it's like the show, I think,
- 6:44Speaker 1: The show started as like a small reality show in
- 6:46Speaker 1: a castle in Scotland. And now it's grown to the
- 6:49Speaker 1: most popular reality show in the world. But it's still
- 6:53Speaker 1: filmed in the same castle. It's one castle in the
- 6:57Speaker 1: middle of fucking nowhere. So it's really funny to see
- 7:01Speaker 1: like this huge viewership and the actual production itself is still,
- 7:05Speaker 1: it's a castle in Scotland. Like we're eating breakfast in
- 7:09Speaker 1: the castle.
- 7:10Speaker 2: I just feel like. So given the popularity of this
- 7:14Speaker 2: show now, I feel like maybe they can increase the
- 7:17Speaker 2: budget and have the table.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Cut this. Cut this. Cut this.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Don't. Don't. What?
- 7:24Speaker 1: Melissa just fucking smoking.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 7:27Speaker 3: I'm not. Because it's distracting.
- 7:31Speaker 2: I'm like, why are they scooching?
- 7:33Speaker 3: You guys are all scooching by each other like this.
- 7:34Speaker 1: She said, if you could get to the historic castle
- 7:36Speaker 1: and blow out that room and build an annex for
- 7:39Speaker 1: the table. She said, if you could renovate, maybe do
- 7:42Speaker 1: a chandelier. She said, maybe we could do different drapes.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Some recessed lighting.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Let's level the castle. You could have one long table.
- 7:53Speaker 3: And there could be multiple cameras.
- 7:55Speaker 1: No, I think that's why it works. We have multiple cameras.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I think that's why it works is because the ethos,
- 8:00Speaker 1: the spirit of the show has remained the same. It's
- 8:04Speaker 1: like if you, yeah, the vibe would change if suddenly, yeah,
- 8:08Speaker 1: if they got a little bit too HD with it.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I don't think so. If we get Ty Pettington in there. Yeah,
- 8:12Speaker 1: if we get Ty Pettington in there. Friend of the pod,
- 8:15Speaker 1: by the way. Really? Yeah, he's a friend of the pod.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Is he? Yeah.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Come on over, Ty.
- 8:18Speaker 1: He's always in the DMs. He's great. Yeah. He's the
- 8:22Speaker 1: guy with the, what's his thing? He's got like a
- 8:26Speaker 1: signature thing. It's either a soul patch or a hat.
- 8:28Speaker 2: He was the one who was like Amazing Renovations. It
- 8:32Speaker 2: used to be on ABC.
- 8:34Speaker 1: You're going to say Amazing Race. No, no, no, no.
- 8:37Speaker 1: We should go on Amazing Race. Who? You and me. No. Yeah. No.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Because neither of us can run fast.
- 8:42Speaker 2: That's for sure.
- 8:43Speaker 1: We're both afraid of heights. Neither of us are going
- 8:45Speaker 1: to take a risk. It's the best season ever. First out.
- 8:50Speaker 2: The Amazing Race is too outside for me.
- 8:53Speaker 1: We can't get off the L train.
- 8:54Speaker 3: It's too much outside.
- 8:56Speaker 1: It's a lot of outdoors.
- 8:58Speaker 3: It's a lot of outside.
- 8:59Speaker 1: A lot of outdoors. And if you can't wrap your
- 9:01Speaker 1: head around the concept of traders, we are not going
- 9:03Speaker 1: to figure out a challenge.
- 9:04Speaker 2: On The Amazing Race. Well, somebody would just need to
- 9:06Speaker 2: tell me what to do.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Melissa, go here.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Okay.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Yeah. We would need a producer full time. We would
- 9:09Speaker 1: need an earpiece.
- 9:11Speaker 3: And so back to traders.
- 9:12Speaker 2: So the other thing that I found really kind of
- 9:15Speaker 2: funny and interesting is– All the whispering that's going on.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Did you say Melissa?
- 9:24Speaker 2: Who got the apple?
- 9:26Speaker 1: Where's the fruit?
- 9:26Speaker 2: Why?
- 9:27Speaker 1: Where's the fruit, Kate? Yeah. There's a lot of whispering.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Why does Joe have the fruit?
- 9:32Speaker 1: And it's crazy because we really were just like talking
- 9:34Speaker 1: shit about each other behind each other the whole time.
- 9:37Speaker 1: You're just like shit talking CJ who's six feet away
- 9:40Speaker 1: from you. And it's like all day.
- 9:43Speaker 3: And you guys are all mic'd.
- 9:45Speaker 1: We're all mic'd. But when we're talking like, I know
- 9:48Speaker 1: CJ is also shit talking me to somebody else. So
- 9:51Speaker 1: I'm doing it too, because he can't hear me if
- 9:53Speaker 1: he's shit-talking me, so I'm shit-talking him too. It's like,
- 9:56Speaker 1: it is actually crazy.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Andre has a really serious question for you.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Okay.
- 10:00Speaker 2: He noticed this and it really, really bothered him.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Oh, man. That's going to be some weird little like.
- 10:05Speaker 2: He wants to know why no one seems to be
- 10:09Speaker 2: able to spell Michael. Okay.
- 10:11Speaker 1: That is actually, I do have to say.
- 10:14Speaker 3: And when they called you Mike.
- 10:15Speaker 5: Okay.
- 10:16Speaker 1: That child was left behind. There was what's going on
- 10:19Speaker 1: in the education system in America because the spelling of
- 10:22Speaker 1: the names on traitors. Okay. So you should know how
- 10:25Speaker 1: to spell Michael.
- 10:26Speaker 2: I don't know that somebody needs a headshot with it
- 10:29Speaker 2: spelled out.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Orissa with an O. Logan, that was Orissa. Orissa. That
- 10:37Speaker 1: was worse than getting banished.
- 10:39Speaker 2: I don't know. But I was like, I think Sherry also,
- 10:43Speaker 2: they were spelling Sherry all different kinds of ways.
- 10:45Speaker 1: They were like C-H-E.
- 10:47Speaker 3: C-H-E-R-R-I-S-H-E-R-I-R-Y.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Sherry was so fierce. Sherry was fierce. She ate us up.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I loved her.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Did you have a good time?
- 10:56Speaker 1: I had a great time. It was an absolute nightmare.
- 10:58Speaker 1: And I love, but I, the one that, but like
- 11:00Speaker 1: I loved when I left, I was like, that was
- 11:02Speaker 1: so fun. But during it, it is so stressful. People
- 11:06Speaker 1: don't realize, I think people think it's fake or something
- 11:09Speaker 1: that it's scripted, but literally everything that happens in the castle,
- 11:14Speaker 1: you don't need to script the show. The game itself
- 11:16Speaker 1: is interesting enough that you don't need, you just need
- 11:19Speaker 1: to get 22 maniacs and that castle and give that,
- 11:23Speaker 1: give that game to them. And it makes itself. Really. Like, honestly.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I think that it was really fun to do, but
- 11:33Speaker 1: it was so stressful. You're filming really long days. Everyone's
- 11:37Speaker 1: talking about each other behind each other's backs. Nobody wants
- 11:40Speaker 1: to go home first. So the paranoia really gets to you.
- 11:44Speaker 1: And you have no contact to the outside world.
- 11:46Speaker 2: No, I know.
- 11:47Speaker 1: You were my emergency contact.
- 11:49Speaker 2: I remember you had said, you were like, all right,
- 11:50Speaker 2: I'm here and I'm going to go dark soon.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Right? Yeah. No problem. But.
- 11:56Speaker 2: The longer you were away, the more messages I was
- 11:58Speaker 2: sending into the ether would be like, are you still there?
- 12:00Speaker 3: Are you okay? What's going on?
- 12:02Speaker 1: And in my mind, at a certain point, I forgot
- 12:06Speaker 1: what my life was like and the castle was my life.
- 12:11Speaker 3: That's crazy, Michael.
- 12:12Speaker 1: You were there so long and it's so immersive that
- 12:16Speaker 1: at one point they had like the therapist come talk
- 12:18Speaker 1: to me because I forgot like that I had a dog,
- 12:22Speaker 1: that my husband's name was Brad. Like you forget. The
- 12:25Speaker 1: world outside of Scotland.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Okay.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Which is why we're acting like such psychopaths.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Which is why we're also deranged.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Is the castle cool?
- 12:34Speaker 1: Very cool. But it's a really old castle in Scotland.
- 12:38Speaker 1: So if it's hot out, it's broiling.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I was going to ask you, what's the temperature control?
- 12:42Speaker 1: And if it's cold out, it's freezing. Okay. So you
- 12:45Speaker 1: just got to be ready for it. I saw an
- 12:47Speaker 1: interview with Parvati, and she was talking about how on
- 12:50Speaker 1: her season it was super cold, so I brought hand
- 12:52Speaker 1: warmers for skiing. And I would just stick those up
- 12:54Speaker 1: my sleeves. Just walking around with hand warmers.
- 12:57Speaker 2: We're going back.
- 12:58Speaker 1: You're going back? Where it all started.
- 13:01Speaker 2: We're going back. I can't wait.
- 13:02Speaker 1: You're going back to Stonehenge?
- 13:04Speaker 2: No, that's in England. Oh. And once was enough?
- 13:07Speaker 1: Once. It's a couple of rocks. It's a couple of rocks.
- 13:10Speaker 2: No, it was very impressive. But I think I saw it.
- 13:17Speaker 2: I walked around it. I took pictures.
- 13:21Speaker 3: And then I was like, okay.
- 13:23Speaker 1: That's a little Kim song. I came, I saw.
- 13:26Speaker 2: I took some pictures. What I think is really interesting
- 13:30Speaker 2: about Stonehenge is that they've done studies on the boulders
- 13:35Speaker 2: and some of the boulders are not at all from
- 13:37Speaker 2: the area. Okay.
- 13:38Speaker 3: So how did they get there?
- 13:41Speaker 1: We don't know.
- 13:41Speaker 2: We don't know.
- 13:42Speaker 1: And that's the end of the Stonehenge tour. Time to
- 13:44Speaker 1: go home. Exit through the gift shop.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Yes.
- 13:46Speaker 1: That's it.
- 13:47Speaker 3: That's it.
- 13:47Speaker 1: And that's my problem with Stonehenge. I mean, I don't
- 13:51Speaker 1: need to see the boulder.
- 13:52Speaker 2: I think it's one of those things that's just it's
- 13:55Speaker 2: like a very interesting thing to have seen.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I'm obsessed with like the Easter Island heads. That's very cool.
- 14:02Speaker 1: What is that? Right. But that's a head, not a rock.
- 14:06Speaker 1: It's a rock, but it's not just like a boulder.
- 14:08Speaker 3: That was somebody chiseled into a face.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I think that's really cool and crazy and weird.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:13Speaker 1: But Stonehenge, I'm like.
- 14:14Speaker 2: And that's weird too.
- 14:15Speaker 3: How did that big giant rock go up on top
- 14:17Speaker 3: to make a T?
- 14:18Speaker 1: How'd they make the T? How'd they do the golden arch?
- 14:20Speaker 1: We don't know.
- 14:21Speaker 2: We don't know.
- 14:21Speaker 1: And we'll never find out.
- 14:22Speaker 2: And we'll never find out.
- 14:23Speaker 3: And I'll be okay with it.
- 14:24Speaker 1: You'll be okay with that.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Stonehenge was a bucket list for Andre.
- 14:27Speaker 1: But you're going, so you keep going back to Scotland.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I don't keep going back to Scotland.
- 14:32Speaker 1: You said we're going back.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Yes, but I don't keep going back. I've only been once.
- 14:36Speaker 1: And now you keep going back.
- 14:38Speaker 2: No, I'm going back again. We're going back to Ireland
- 14:42Speaker 2: and we're going back to Scotland because we didn't do
- 14:44Speaker 2: enough of what I wanted to see. So I'm also
- 14:50Speaker 2: really interested in the period of the Troubles. So I
- 14:54Speaker 2: want to go to Belfast. I just think it's really interesting.
- 14:57Speaker 1: That famously was not part of Stonehenge.
- 14:59Speaker 2: No, because Stonehenge is not in Ireland.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Or Scotland.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Totally random thing, but about Ireland. There is a statue
- 15:12Speaker 2: of Molly Malone.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Molly Malone? Can we tell me who that is?
- 15:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not quite sure. Because I'm not sure.
- 15:18Speaker 2: I can't remember who she is exactly.
- 15:20Speaker 1: You said it hoping I would know.
- 15:22Speaker 3: No, I know that she's famous.
- 15:24Speaker 1: But we're not sure who she is.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I don't know what she's famous for.
- 15:27Speaker 1: We're going to fact check. A fictional fishmonger.
- 15:30Speaker 5: Wait, wait, wait.
- 15:31Speaker 1: She's a fictional fishmonger and the star of a well-known
- 15:34Speaker 1: Irish song. Okay.
- 15:36Speaker 3: So she's like a bit of a heroine, right?
- 15:39Speaker 1: I know. I actually knew that. Oh, did you? I did.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Okay.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Because there's some sort of like fish pie that they make.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Cockles.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Stargazer pie or something. Yeah. Cockles.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Well, I was reading about it on the thing and
- 15:50Speaker 2: she would apparently in the story, she's peddling her wares
- 15:54Speaker 2: and she's saying, oh, I've got cockles or whatever it is.
- 15:56Speaker 1: But she wasn't real.
- 15:58Speaker 3: No, I know.
- 15:58Speaker 1: It's a story. It's like Yankee Doodle Dandy.
- 16:00Speaker 3: But in the story, that's made up.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Okay. Okay. Okay. I'm just like getting there.
- 16:05Speaker 2: So anyway, it's a brass statue, right? And it's her
- 16:09Speaker 2: face and she's pulling her thing. If you look at
- 16:11Speaker 2: the picture, the breasts of the statue have been completely
- 16:16Speaker 2: worn away because men- Are rubbing the titty. They're rubbing
- 16:20Speaker 2: the titties.
- 16:21Speaker 1: What? Not even- Look.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Look.
- 16:24Speaker 3: And it was a thing.
- 16:25Speaker 2: And there was a thing where they were showing like
- 16:27Speaker 2: a day of what was going on. All the men,
- 16:31Speaker 2: all the men rubbing the titty and the women and
- 16:35Speaker 2: the women going up and like hugging.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Molly or whatever it is. And it was not just.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Not even the statues are safe.
- 16:42Speaker 3: No, but you know what though?
- 16:43Speaker 1: They're trying to fuck the bronze.
- 16:45Speaker 3: But listen to me.
- 16:46Speaker 2: But that is the point.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Right?
- 16:48Speaker 3: That is the point.
- 16:49Speaker 2: And what I felt was really interesting also was there
- 16:52Speaker 2: was a group of little boys.
- 16:53Speaker 1: No.
- 16:54Speaker 2: So that kind of, I think, to be very serious,
- 16:59Speaker 2: I think that it is hop, skip.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Jump rape culture.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Do you know what I mean?
- 17:06Speaker 2: Because it's starting at an absolute disregard and lack of
- 17:10Speaker 2: respect for women and their bodies.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Right. And it's like jokey. Yeah.
- 17:14Speaker 2: And it's jokey, but it's not funny.
- 17:17Speaker 1: It's like a slippery slope. Correct.
- 17:18Speaker 2: And when I went, I knew that already, but I
- 17:22Speaker 2: went and I watched a bunch of guys.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Doing rubbing the boobies.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Giving her a mammogram. Mess.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Mess. Really.
- 17:29Speaker 2: But it's so... It's just indicative of how women... And
- 17:36Speaker 2: our bodies are not perspective.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Our objects.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely. And it's like I was talking when Laura
- 17:41Speaker 2: was here the other day, Laura Dunn. We were talking about, obviously,
- 17:47Speaker 2: the Cornell 7 and everything.
- 17:50Speaker 3: And I said to her that.
- 17:54Speaker 2: The first time I think I got catcalled from a
- 17:57Speaker 2: grown man, I was like 12 or 13 years old.
- 17:59Speaker 1: And you were in your school uniform. Right.
- 18:02Speaker 2: And I don't know, there's not a woman that I
- 18:05Speaker 2: know who did not have a similar experience. And because
- 18:10Speaker 2: if you're looking at these little boys who were touching
- 18:13Speaker 2: Molly Malone, They're learning from that age that it's kind
- 18:18Speaker 2: of okay. And it's funny.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Yes.
- 18:20Speaker 3: And it's funny.
- 18:21Speaker 2: And, you know, there was another guy who thought it
- 18:23Speaker 2: was funny to, like, pretend to motorboat.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Like, it's not. It is so disrespectful.
- 18:28Speaker 2: And then the person who put the clip out was like,
- 18:32Speaker 2: so is it the statue that was leading him on?
- 18:37Speaker 1: Right. Yeah.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Ellipsis.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Right. Right?
- 18:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:41Speaker 1: No, it's true. I think that, I mean, it's like.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Once you start noticing it a little bit, you're going
- 18:47Speaker 1: to see it everywhere.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Yes.
- 18:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:49Speaker 1: You're going to notice it in the way we talk
- 18:51Speaker 1: about people. I mean, I've noticed that in, yeah, just
- 18:55Speaker 1: any sort of news story that has to do with.
- 18:57Speaker 2: I mean, did you hear the way that Megan, what's
- 18:59Speaker 2: her name, talked about Jane Doe? About how Megan Kelly.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Fucking maniac.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Disgusting.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Why does she have a show anywhere? I mean. And honestly,
- 19:11Speaker 1: like the hot. It's not even like, okay, this is
- 19:14Speaker 1: a conservative talking head. She's like an Epstein apologist. Like,
- 19:18Speaker 1: what is this show she got running? Who's giving her? Like,
- 19:22Speaker 1: that is crazy to me. It's not even like, these
- 19:25Speaker 1: are my conservative ideals.
- 19:26Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Let me be a Fox News commentator. It's correct. It is.
- 19:29Speaker 1: It's like beyond the Candace Owens of it all.
- 19:32Speaker 2: 100%. Can we talk about Katie Zachariah?
- 19:39Speaker 1: You want to do algorithm is showing about Katie Zachariah?
- 19:42Speaker 1: I have to say, Katie Zachariah, I have to defend
- 19:45Speaker 1: her hair extensions because they do look snatched. Everything else
- 19:49Speaker 1: is crazy. but her hair does look pretty good.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Okay.
- 19:52Speaker 1: And that's the only credit I'll give her. Okay. Okay? Sure.
- 19:56Speaker 1: And don't ever let anyone call me biased because I
- 19:59Speaker 1: said the hair was correct. And everything else is a mess.
- 20:04Speaker 2: That was... I was joking with some friends and I said,
- 20:09Speaker 2: I've had periods last longer than Katie Zechariah did in
- 20:12Speaker 2: her job.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Someone I saw tweeted was like, I had a tampon
- 20:15Speaker 1: in longer. Yeah. Toxic shock syndrome. Well, yeah. Yeah. PSA
- 20:20Speaker 1: for toxic shock syndrome from Brief Resets. Don't do that.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Don't do that.
- 20:24Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:25Speaker 2: And I thought, and one would have imagined that Scaramucci
- 20:29Speaker 2: was the limit.
- 20:31Speaker 1: But even like before they fired her.
- 20:35Speaker 3: I will say that I felt uncomfortable.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 20:40Speaker 5: I am so honored to work for President Trump and
- 20:48Speaker 5: the American people as the new White House press secretary.
- 20:52Speaker 2: I was uncomfortable and I don't give a shit. And,
- 20:58Speaker 2: you know, because stuff like that always makes me feel
- 21:00Speaker 2: so cringy, I couldn't watch it in one sitting. I
- 21:03Speaker 2: kept on pausing it and then going back to it.
- 21:07Speaker 1: It's like when on American Idol they would intentionally put
- 21:09Speaker 1: someone up there.
- 21:10Speaker 2: See, that's what I was saying when Clay Aiken was here.
- 21:12Speaker 2: That's the thing that I don't– I can't.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I can't watch it.
- 21:16Speaker 5: No.
- 21:16Speaker 1: It's like vicarious embarrassment. You feel it for them. You're
- 21:22Speaker 1: an empath.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:23Speaker 1: That's beautiful. It's October. Embrace it. This is your spooky season.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Do you believe in witches? Yes. I do too. You
- 21:31Speaker 1: believe in tarot cards?
- 21:33Speaker 2: Sure.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I think so too. Some guy in a bar came
- 21:36Speaker 1: up to me and gave me his phone number and
- 21:38Speaker 1: he was like, I'm a tarot card reader. I think
- 21:40Speaker 1: I'm going to call him.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Call him. Do it.
- 21:43Speaker 1: On the show. Let's do it.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Let's do it.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Do it. And because I always lose everything, I took
- 21:49Speaker 1: a photo of the card. So I know I have
- 21:51Speaker 1: the number.
- 21:51Speaker 2: I mean, I think I believe that there are people
- 21:57Speaker 2: who have a gift of sight, I think. I think
- 22:01Speaker 2: that there are people who can see people from the beyond.
- 22:05Speaker 2: I'm not going to run my life that way. But,
- 22:09Speaker 2: you know, if somebody says, I remember one time, this
- 22:12Speaker 2: is years ago, I was talking to somebody and they
- 22:16Speaker 2: were talking about an experience that they had in somebody's house.
- 22:21Speaker 2: And a feeling that came over them.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:23Speaker 2: That there was something wrong. I will tell you, many
- 22:27Speaker 2: years ago now, Andra and I were looking for a house.
- 22:30Speaker 2: And you don't go in a house, you go in
- 22:31Speaker 2: a house. I walked into a house and immediately the
- 22:35Speaker 2: vibe was not right. Something happened. I could not stay
- 22:39Speaker 2: in that house. And I said to Andra and the realtor,
- 22:42Speaker 2: I'm like- Never this house. And I can't even be
- 22:45Speaker 2: in here. And they were like, what's the matter? I'm like,
- 22:47Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Yo, it was just like you had this awful feeling.
- 22:52Speaker 3: A terrible feeling of feeling unsafe.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Wow.
- 22:58Speaker 2: I don't know why.
- 23:00Speaker 1: But you got to listen to that.
- 23:01Speaker 2: You do have to listen to that.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Because then it'll make you sick if you actually lived there.
- 23:05Speaker 2: No, there was no way we were going to live there,
- 23:08Speaker 2: but I didn't even want to stay.
- 23:10Speaker 1: That's spooky. I've been like that too, where I'm in
- 23:13Speaker 1: a space and I'm like, I don't want to, something
- 23:15Speaker 1: feels wrong.
- 23:16Speaker 2: The vibes are not right.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Listen, don't bring up my banishment like that.
- 23:21Speaker 2: I used to work someplace where the vibe was off
- 23:27Speaker 2: and I would go either late at night or on
- 23:30Speaker 2: the weekends and I would sage it. I'm like, I'm
- 23:34Speaker 2: going to be here for a minute. I'm going to
- 23:36Speaker 2: sage it.
- 23:36Speaker 1: That is so Haitian. I love that. Yeah. I love that.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Back to the office. Are you kidding? I know who
- 23:49Speaker 1: it is.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Are you serious? Do you think I'm playing?
- 23:53Speaker 1: Seriously?
- 23:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:56Speaker 1: I mean, she needed it.
- 23:57Speaker 3: And then I would go around to the people that
- 23:59Speaker 3: I dealt with.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Wow.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Melissa.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Don't care.
- 24:05Speaker 1: She's drunken outside.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Wow.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Did it work?
- 24:11Speaker 3: Didn't it?
- 24:14Speaker 2: Agents of Chaos is no longer.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Right? Can confirm it worked. Yeah. Damn,
- 24:19Speaker 1: that worked. Yeah.
- 24:20Speaker 2: It did work.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Wow.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Leave me alone.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Yo. Okay. Sorry, I'm processing a lot. Sure.
- 24:29Speaker 2: I know you are. I know you are. The ancestors
- 24:31Speaker 2: are on my side. I'm not even kidding.
- 24:34Speaker 1: I need you to do a little work for me.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Sure.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Do you take cash or check? What if you said
- 24:39Speaker 1: no to cash? You're like, no, I don't take cash.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Like sweet greens? Oh, no cash.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Sweet greens.
- 24:46Speaker 2: I hate that place.
- 24:46Speaker 1: I'm going to get another email about sweet greens.
- 24:50Speaker 3: Poor CJ.
- 24:51Speaker 1: CJ's like, God, the sweet green. We've got to pull
- 24:53Speaker 1: the ad. No, we're going to get another call.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Well, the last time I ordered a salad from there
- 24:55Speaker 3: was Sandy.
- 24:56Speaker 2: I was really upset.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Can I tell you something? I get these influencer offers. Mm-hmm.
- 25:02Speaker 1: to and they send them in and it's it's usually
- 25:04Speaker 1: like make a video here's how much you'll get paid
- 25:07Speaker 1: this is what we'll give you sweet green fucking emailed
- 25:10Speaker 1: me and i'm actually gonna put them on blast because
- 25:12Speaker 1: their email was like literally like small companies will send
- 25:16Speaker 1: me and it's like dollar amount of how much we
- 25:18Speaker 1: will pay you to make a video sweet cream was
- 25:20Speaker 1: like we'll give you a salad oh get fucked Get
- 25:25Speaker 1: out of here. Not only was I never going to
- 25:27Speaker 1: make a video for you, you're not even going to
- 25:30Speaker 1: offer a fee, an appearance fee, the usage of the video.
- 25:36Speaker 1: There are really set industry standard terms for influencers. And
- 25:40Speaker 1: they were like, what about some cabbage? What about a
- 25:43Speaker 1: baked potato? What the fuck is that? Okay. Anyway, CJ's
- 25:48Speaker 1: going to have to cut that whole segment. NBC and
- 25:51Speaker 1: Sweetgreen with the sniper rifle.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Do we know why Katie Zachariah got fired?
- 25:55Speaker 3: Like, was there a reason given?
- 25:56Speaker 1: All I could see was that Trump talked to her
- 25:58Speaker 1: and was like, if you didn't want to do it,
- 26:00Speaker 1: you don't have to. Like, he sort of like gave
- 26:02Speaker 1: her a soft out and she was like, I'm out
- 26:04Speaker 1: of here. Okay. But then I think, I don't know.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Was she fired? I feel like she's just gone.
- 26:09Speaker 3: The news that I read is that she got fired.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I heard too. And that she was like,
- 26:13Speaker 1: all right, cool. And then they were like, we're firing you.
- 26:14Speaker 1: I don't know. I think she technically resigned. Lasted five days.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 26:21Speaker 3: I mean, she was very bad at that job.
- 26:23Speaker 1: She lied about being a lawyer. I mean, that's not.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Well, you know what I always find really interesting when
- 26:29Speaker 2: people lie about things like that? In this day and age,
- 26:33Speaker 2: it's very difficult to lie about who you are, where
- 26:38Speaker 2: you're from.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Like George Santos. Remember, he was making all that and
- 26:41Speaker 1: then went to prison.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Because at some point, you are going to get found out.
- 26:46Speaker 1: And now he's on Naked and Afraid. He's like on
- 26:49Speaker 1: some show.
- 26:49Speaker 2: No, I know.
- 26:50Speaker 1: He's like doing military boot camp on TV.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Did you see where he was trying to get out
- 26:54Speaker 2: of the water? He could not. He couldn't lift himself out.
- 27:00Speaker 2: And he was like, at one point he was almost
- 27:03Speaker 2: out and then he lost his grip.
- 27:07Speaker 3: And he was just flailing around.
- 27:09Speaker 2: <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>
- 27:15Speaker 2: Look at this guy being disgusting.
- 27:17Speaker 1: The guy watching him is like, I can't. This is
- 27:22Speaker 1: so bad. If you think we're assholes for laughing, just
- 27:25Speaker 1: remember he had a rifle pin on his suit when
- 27:29Speaker 1: he was in Congress right after school shootings.
- 27:31Speaker 3: You know what?
- 27:33Speaker 2: I don't care what you think about me laughing about that.
- 27:35Speaker 2: This man lied about his grandparents being in the Holocaust.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Yeah, if you need permission to laugh, we're giving it
- 27:40Speaker 1: to you with these reasons.
- 27:42Speaker 2: I mean, what kind of person, honestly, what kind of
- 27:45Speaker 2: person lies about their grandparents or any member of their
- 27:48Speaker 2: family being in a genocide?
- 27:50Speaker 1: Just like grandma was Anne Frank. Like, what? People are
- 27:53Speaker 1: going to be able to, like, Google that pretty quickly.
- 27:55Speaker 3: And also that his mother was a September 11th survivor.
- 27:58Speaker 2: What?
- 27:59Speaker 1: Ancestor.com. We got the Google. We got the Wikipedia. We've
- 28:02Speaker 1: got the, yeah. We've got the manifest.
- 28:04Speaker 3: But it's just so gross. I mean, I'm not about telling.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Did he say his mother died in 9-11, but she's
- 28:08Speaker 1: still alive? No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 28:09Speaker 2: She was there, and that thing got cancer in that house.
- 28:11Speaker 2: She died. I think so. But there was definitely a grandparents'
- 28:15Speaker 2: Holocaust story, and there was definitely my mom.
- 28:18Speaker 1: But Trump is also lying about being there at 9-11.
- 28:21Speaker 2: No, I know. But, right.
- 28:23Speaker 1: That's crazy. And that's what I'm saying. We can quickly
- 28:25Speaker 1: debunk that. 9-11 was famously not that long ago. Right.
- 28:29Speaker 1: It wasn't like you're saying my uncle was on the Mayflower.
- 28:36Speaker 1: It was 26 years ago.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Yeah, my ass walked home that day.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Yeah, Melissa was there. Melissa wasn't working. You were in
- 28:43Speaker 1: the workforce.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I was a grown adult.
- 28:45Speaker 1: And you walked home?
- 28:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:47Speaker 1: You don't want to talk about it. We don't have
- 28:49Speaker 1: to talk about it. It's a public record if you
- 28:51Speaker 1: pass the bar, right? Yeah.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Right.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Yeah. You have to register with the court system.
- 28:57Speaker 2: I don't know why she could have just as easily said,
- 29:00Speaker 2: I went to law school. Yeah.
- 29:03Speaker 3: Because she did go to law school.
- 29:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:04Speaker 3: Did she graduate from law school?
- 29:06Speaker 2: I think so.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but I think– but there's a– graduating from law
- 29:10Speaker 1: school doesn't make you an attorney.
- 29:11Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no. But it does mean you
- 29:13Speaker 2: have a law degree.
- 29:14Speaker 1: It gives you a JD. Yes.
- 29:16Speaker 3: So she could have easily said– I have a JD.
- 29:18Speaker 2: I have a JD. I have a law degree.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. But instead– No, she's out here. She's like,
- 29:22Speaker 1: I'm a Supreme Court justice. I'm a corporate– I mean–
- 29:26Speaker 1: A corporate attorney.
- 29:27Speaker 2: I'm a corporate attorney.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Where did you pass the bar?
- 29:29Speaker 1: China. You said she's an attorney.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Where did she pass the bar exam? Which state? What state?
- 29:34Speaker 2: Did she tell us?
- 29:37Speaker 1: Bitch.
- 29:38Speaker 2: What?
- 29:30Speaker 1: Bitch.
- 29:30Speaker 5: What?
- 29:31Speaker 1: What? Does she speak Mandarin?
- 29:31Speaker 2: Was she in my Jamie's class in high school?
- 29:47Speaker 1: I can't stop thinking about my high school now. We've
- 29:49Speaker 1: unlocked a puzzle box in my brain. They had us,
- 29:52Speaker 1: they had, I was a part of this group. We
- 29:54Speaker 1: were the pure health. We were the health teachers. We
- 29:57Speaker 1: were pure health coaches. They had the students teaching health class.
- 30:02Speaker 1: So they, because there was no health teacher, they taught
- 30:04Speaker 1: a group of, I guess the sluts. They taught us
- 30:11Speaker 1: like how to have safe sex. And then they were like,
- 30:13Speaker 1: you now have to teach everyone at school.
- 30:16Speaker 2: OK, so it was either. So Michael and I and
- 30:20Speaker 2: my experiences with sex ed are.
- 30:25Speaker 1: I was such a hoe that they gave me permission
- 30:28Speaker 1: to teach.
- 30:29Speaker 2: And I got taught by a nun.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Who was like, don't do it.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Don't do it.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Until you're married. End of class.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Don't do it.
- 30:37Speaker 1: All the credits we're going to put on a movie. Yeah. Yeah,
- 30:43Speaker 1: it was really bad. And we, yeah, we will get
- 30:48Speaker 1: into it. Melissa doesn't want to get into it.
- 30:50Speaker 3: About what?
- 30:51Speaker 1: Sex ed.
- 30:52Speaker 2: No, we can talk about it.
- 30:53Speaker 1: I don't know. Do I have to teach you?
- 30:55Speaker 2: No, I'm good.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Oh, okay. I just wasn't sure if you eventually got the.
- 30:58Speaker 3: I've brushed up since, yeah.
- 30:59Speaker 1: How did you end up learning?
- 31:01Speaker 3: Honestly?
- 31:02Speaker 1: Michelle Pinchiroli taught you. Our friend from high school. Zandria
- 31:10Speaker 1: taught you? Like someone was like, okay, girl.
- 31:12Speaker 2: I had another teacher who was a lay teacher and
- 31:16Speaker 2: I went to her and I was like, hey, miss, da, da, da.
- 31:20Speaker 3: And she was like the cool teacher.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:21Speaker 3: And I was like, sister, what's her name? And she
- 31:24Speaker 3: was like, and she, I remember she was like.
- 31:29Speaker 1: There's always someone, there's always a teacher like that.
- 31:31Speaker 2: She like rolled her eyes and was just like, and
- 31:34Speaker 2: then she told me to go get, um, Our Bodies, Ourselves.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Love that book.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:41Speaker 1: You know what my mom did? What? She just put
- 31:43Speaker 1: it on my nightstand. Good. She's like, figure it out.
- 31:47Speaker 3: But you know what, though?
- 31:49Speaker 2: If she felt uncomfortable or didn't want to talk to
- 31:52Speaker 2: you about it herself, she gave you a good resource. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
- 31:56Speaker 1: I remember being like, turning the page and being like. What?
- 32:04Speaker 3: I'm supposed to do what?
- 32:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Yeah. So I did it. I do remember we called
- 32:10Speaker 1: one assembly and we were teaching the kids.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Can I ask you one question? I'm interrupting you. Just
- 32:16Speaker 2: one minute. We're going to give me a bell. Is
- 32:21Speaker 2: this before or after the accreditation?
- 32:23Speaker 1: This is before.
- 32:24Speaker 2: Please.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Before my high school was accredited.
- 32:27Speaker 3: Please continue. That tells me everything, but go ahead. A
- 32:31Speaker 3: child was left behind. No, several childs.
- 32:34Speaker 1: So they were like, okay, like teach health or whatever.
- 32:37Speaker 1: So me and my friends, we gave a cookie to everyone.
- 32:41Speaker 1: And you pass the cookie down to the center. When
- 32:43Speaker 1: it got to the middle, we were like, okay, whoever
- 32:46Speaker 1: has a cookie, you can eat the cookie now. And
- 32:47Speaker 1: they were like, we don't want to eat the cookie.
- 32:49Speaker 1: And they said, why? Because they said everybody touched it.
- 32:53Speaker 1: And we said, exactly, you don't want to put things
- 32:55Speaker 1: in your mouth that everyone's been touching. That was the lesson.
- 33:00Speaker 3: Class dismissed.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Was there a quiz?
- 33:02Speaker 1: Let's take a break. Okay. Was there a quiz? You
- 33:06Speaker 1: don't want to put things in your mouth that everybody's
- 33:07Speaker 1: been touching.
- 33:08Speaker 3: I mean, you know what, though?
- 33:10Speaker 1: That's fair. But also, if everyone's putting it in their mouth,
- 33:14Speaker 1: it's probably for good reason. So sometimes that's the best trade.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Is it? That's what I learned in adulthood. But back then,
- 33:19Speaker 1: I was like, this is the tea. But now, there's
- 33:24Speaker 1: usually a reason.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Yeah, there is. Let's take a break.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Let's get into Under Oath about Tucker Carlson. Is it
- 33:33Speaker 1: about his hair?
- 33:34Speaker 2: No.
- 33:34Speaker 1: We did Katie Zachariah's hair, so I do have to
- 33:36Speaker 1: review his hair as the bald person in the studio. Okay.
- 33:41Speaker 1: He's got quite the wavy bang that's so wavy it
- 33:44Speaker 1: can't not be treated. Or do you think there's like
- 33:47Speaker 1: a little sew-in happening? I don't. I think he's got
- 33:49Speaker 1: a little extension somewhere.
- 33:50Speaker 2: I don't, actually.
- 33:51Speaker 1: You think that that man.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that he's just a floppy-haired man. Do
- 33:56Speaker 2: you know what I mean? That's what I think. I
- 33:58Speaker 2: just think he's got a floppy head of hair.
- 33:59Speaker 1: I know you didn't mean it, but that is such
- 34:01Speaker 1: a read. Like, that is such a.
- 34:02Speaker 2: I mean, I just think... I mean, he... I think
- 34:05Speaker 2: there is something about him. Not that he doesn't look dirty,
- 34:09Speaker 2: but he looks un-groomed. The hair is like floppy and
- 34:15Speaker 2: kind of messy.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Yes.
- 34:16Speaker 3: And I think that he thinks that might be his look.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Okay.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Because the men that were on Fox News are very
- 34:25Speaker 2: conservative in appearance. The hair is short and kind of styled.
- 34:30Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 34:30Speaker 3: And his is not.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Yes.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Right.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Totally. So what did he say? I'm reading this quote
- 34:36Speaker 1: and this is the first I'm hearing of this.
- 34:39Speaker 3: Tucker Carlson said... The nature of war results in the
- 34:43Speaker 3: deaths of innocents.
- 34:44Speaker 1: And if you look at that enough on a screen,
- 34:45Speaker 1: it's like if you look at pornography enough or bestiality
- 34:48Speaker 1: videos all day, after a while, it's kind of an
- 34:51Speaker 1: attractive horse.
- 34:52Speaker 2: I get it.
- 34:53Speaker 1: I'm not into it personally, but it's not crazy. We
- 34:56Speaker 1: are shaped by the worlds around us, of course. Is
- 34:59Speaker 1: this taken out of context? What was this about?
- 35:01Speaker 2: I actually don't know.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Why was he saying this?
- 35:05Speaker 2: Why was he saying it, TJ?
- 35:07Speaker 1: He was talking about.
- 35:09Speaker 4: about um uh like people that really want to go
- 35:13Speaker 4: to war in the military industrial complex and he was
- 35:16Speaker 4: like if if everybody around you is always wanting to
- 35:18Speaker 4: go to war and all they're talking about is war
- 35:21Speaker 4: he's like it's like bestiality if you if you watch
- 35:23Speaker 4: enough bestiality porn all of a sudden that horse starts
- 35:25Speaker 4: to look attractive talking about like war hawks.
- 35:30Speaker 1: What's going on in the home all sorts i think
- 35:35Speaker 1: is what is that what i mean i don't know
- 35:37Speaker 1: I didn't even know there was bestiality videos.
- 35:40Speaker 3: Of course there are.
- 35:41Speaker 1: I mean, I guess I knew that they existed, but
- 35:43Speaker 1: I didn't know Tucker Carlson was watching them.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Well, I don't know if he is.
- 35:46Speaker 2: He's not saying that he's watching them. He did say
- 35:49Speaker 2: that he's not into it personally, but he gets it.
- 35:54Speaker 1: I love that like in the state in America. Yes.
- 35:56Speaker 1: We have to qualify whether we're into that or not.
- 36:00Speaker 1: People are like, I just got to go on the
- 36:02Speaker 1: record really quick. I'm not into that.
- 36:05Speaker 3: Like Selma Blair, who's really into biting.
- 36:09Speaker 1: She's got a rap sheet of bites.
- 36:11Speaker 2: She apparently bit Kate Moss really hard. She cuts the skin.
- 36:16Speaker 1: She's just hitting people up corncob style. She's just going wild.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Jason Derulo video of the corncob.
- 36:29Speaker 3: What is happening?
- 36:31Speaker 1: I just got to let people know I'm not into horses.
- 36:33Speaker 1: I'm not into biting. I don't want to get bit.
- 36:36Speaker 2: Don't bite a horse. I don't know.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Like Cash Patel's like, if bestiality is on your resume,
- 36:43Speaker 1: we will still consider you for the FBI. And now
- 36:47Speaker 1: Tucker Carlson softly socializing the bestiality videos. It's getting really crazy.
- 36:55Speaker 1: I just think people would cool it before the midterms.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Like we'd maybe like. Maybe not everything's on the line
- 37:01Speaker 1: right now, but.
- 37:01Speaker 2: This is what I am saying. I am saying.
- 37:05Speaker 3: At.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Every level, we are running out of shit to do
- 37:09Speaker 2: to ourselves.
- 37:10Speaker 3: We're just... We're biting people.
- 37:16Speaker 2: We're approving bestiality videos.
- 37:19Speaker 1: I made a Selma Blair joke. And someone was like,
- 37:22Speaker 1: she is a mess. And I was like.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Isn't it me?
- 37:25Speaker 1: No, this was on TikTok. Oh, okay. And I was like, so...
- 37:28Speaker 1: I do have to let you know that biting people
- 37:31Speaker 1: is not a symptom of MS.
- 37:32Speaker 2: No, I know.
- 37:34Speaker 3: But I think what people.
- 37:36Speaker 2: I think that there are some people.
- 37:39Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Hear me out. I think that there are some people who,
- 37:44Speaker 2: when they hear that somebody has something like MS, that
- 37:49Speaker 2: they will... She has MS, so she's a nice person.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Cut her some slack.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Cut her some slack because she has MS. Meanwhile, somebody
- 37:57Speaker 2: could have like terrible cancer, right? But they were a
- 38:01Speaker 2: horrible person. Every now and then there'll be like a
- 38:04Speaker 2: story that comes out where somebody has died and their
- 38:09Speaker 2: families have written.
- 38:11Speaker 3: A scorching obituary.
- 38:13Speaker 2: No one's going to miss her because she was a horrible,
- 38:15Speaker 2: abusive parent.
- 38:17Speaker 3: Yes, I've heard of this, yeah.
- 38:19Speaker 2: And there are a lot, I was reading there's a-
- 38:21Speaker 2: They cook them. There was something- I think a hospice
- 38:24Speaker 2: nurse wrote a book or something. And she was talking
- 38:27Speaker 2: about all the people. It was sort of like life
- 38:31Speaker 2: lessons towards the end of your life. So people who
- 38:35Speaker 2: were just like, I wish I would have spent more
- 38:36Speaker 2: time with my friends, my family. I wish I would
- 38:39Speaker 2: have tried to sing. I always wanted to sing, but
- 38:41Speaker 2: I was afraid. And there are people who are like,
- 38:44Speaker 2: I want to see my child again. I was not
- 38:47Speaker 2: a good parent.
- 38:48Speaker 1: And they wouldn't. And they cut me out of their life.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Yeah, they're coming to the end of their life. And
- 38:52Speaker 2: now they're like, could you please reach out to my child?
- 38:56Speaker 2: And she said there are so many times she has
- 38:58Speaker 2: done that. And the person on the other end has
- 39:00Speaker 2: been like, absolutely not. Wow.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Well, I always wonder, maybe this could be good for
- 39:07Speaker 1: Tales from the DMs. If you guys want to send
- 39:09Speaker 1: in your stories. I always wonder about like, right? There
- 39:12Speaker 1: are a million different types of relationships, right? I have
- 39:15Speaker 1: a therapist describe it as like the constellations in the
- 39:17Speaker 1: sky of like different relationships. What's normal? What works for people?
- 39:21Speaker 1: You have a kid. You don't know what's going to happen.
- 39:23Speaker 1: And CJ, if you need to leave, if this is triggering,
- 39:25Speaker 1: because I know you just had a baby. Thank you.
- 39:27Speaker 1: um you have a kid there's no like guarantee that
- 39:31Speaker 1: it's gonna like you or you're gonna like it no
- 39:33Speaker 1: like i know there's biological shit where like yeah yeah
- 39:36Speaker 1: what if your brain rewires what if your kid is
- 39:39Speaker 1: terrible or just like yeah you don't i don't know
- 39:42Speaker 1: you're not that close or whatever like you just And
- 39:45Speaker 1: I always wondered, what's that? Like, I'm close with my parents. Like,
- 39:47Speaker 1: we get along great. Love going to dinner with them.
- 39:49Speaker 1: We kiki. We have a good time. But, like, I
- 39:52Speaker 1: always wondered, like, what if I know people who are
- 39:56Speaker 1: not close with their parents at all.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Yes.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Barely even talk.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Yes.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Maybe go home for Christmas.
- 40:00Speaker 2: Yes.
- 40:00Speaker 1: I always wondered about those types of relationships.
- 40:02Speaker 2: I mean, I think Oprah recently or kind of– or
- 40:07Speaker 2: I saw it recently. She had a whole episode about
- 40:10Speaker 2: people who are, like, going no contact with their parents.
- 40:14Speaker 2: With their parents. And she had people in her audience
- 40:18Speaker 2: talking about it. And then she had a couple of
- 40:20Speaker 2: parents who decided to go no contact with their kids.
- 40:23Speaker 1: That's who I want to hear from. Parents who were like.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Well, so one of the parents said that her son
- 40:31Speaker 2: is a drug addict.
- 40:33Speaker 1: I was thinking. My first thought was addict.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Drug addict who she tried really hard. She and the
- 40:40Speaker 2: dad tried really hard to get him into rehab. He
- 40:43Speaker 2: paid for it multiple times. He's stolen from them, yada, yada, yada.
- 40:48Speaker 2: And she said that... He was sucking the energy out
- 40:51Speaker 2: of the household, out of the family, and they didn't
- 40:54Speaker 2: have enough time to put into the other kids because
- 40:57Speaker 2: he was the problem.
- 40:58Speaker 1: They got this whole other family.
- 41:00Speaker 3: So she went no contact with him. That's awful.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it is. I mean, and she presented it in
- 41:06Speaker 2: a way where you could tell she felt bad, but
- 41:08Speaker 2: she also was resigned to what she had to do.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Yeah, especially if you have other kids. You got to
- 41:13Speaker 1: watch out for them.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Or even, you know what?
- 41:15Speaker 3: Even if you don't have other kids, like you're- You're
- 41:18Speaker 3: still a person.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Right.
- 41:20Speaker 2: There can't be somebody in your life, parent, child, spouse, sibling,
- 41:25Speaker 2: who is the succubus in your life.
- 41:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 41:28Speaker 3: And I'm talking about extreme- And that's.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Why you staged that person's office.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Yeah. I was helping.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:35Speaker 2: Them and me.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Oh, addiction's so crazy.
- 41:38Speaker 3: Oh, it is.
- 41:39Speaker 2: I mean, and, you know, I feel for people who
- 41:41Speaker 2: are struggling with that. My dad, so my dad was
- 41:45Speaker 2: a Vietnam veteran and he had a friend of his,
- 41:49Speaker 2: like the one friend that he kept, right? The guy
- 41:52Speaker 2: was Maltese. And that guy's son died. He OD'd. And
- 41:59Speaker 2: my dad went, whatever. And it was like a young
- 42:02Speaker 2: guy at the time. And His friend said to him,
- 42:08Speaker 2: I love my son. I'm so sorry he's not here.
- 42:12Speaker 2: But now my family is at peace. Because he was
- 42:16Speaker 2: wreaking havoc in their lives.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Constantly relapsing. I had a boyfriend OD when I was
- 42:23Speaker 1: in college.
- 42:25Speaker 2: That's hard.
- 42:26Speaker 1: It was awful.
- 42:27Speaker 3: That has to be horrible.
- 42:28Speaker 1: And his family. I don't know. for for him it
- 42:33Speaker 1: was like very clear that his addiction was connected to
- 42:36Speaker 1: something his family not liking him for being gay or whatever.
- 42:40Speaker 3: Oh and it was.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Like so because like i'm fine my family was like
- 42:46Speaker 1: so chill about it but it was always so weird
- 42:49Speaker 1: to come from that and then be around other people
- 42:52Speaker 1: who were not from similar dynamics right and it's like
- 42:57Speaker 1: i don't I was young, so my brain wasn't fully
- 43:01Speaker 1: developed and I was drunk. It's really hard to understand that,
- 43:10Speaker 1: especially at that age when you didn't really have a
- 43:13Speaker 1: lot of context. Right. Now I'm like, oh, I see
- 43:16Speaker 1: exactly what was happening there. Yes. I get it. Yes.
- 43:19Speaker 1: It totally makes sense.
- 43:20Speaker 2: That's something that happens as you get older. You look
- 43:22Speaker 2: back and you're like, oh. That's what was going on.
- 43:25Speaker 1: His dad was hitting him. Got it. Okay. Yeah. You
- 43:28Speaker 1: like don't, it just doesn't click because you're such a,
- 43:32Speaker 1: I don't know. When you're a teenager. Yeah. Too many hugs,
- 43:35Speaker 1: not enough hugs.
- 43:36Speaker 2: Inappropriate hugs.
- 43:38Speaker 1: You were, you were not enough hugs. Yeah.
- 43:41Speaker 2: No.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:41Speaker 2: And you were too many.
- 43:42Speaker 1: I was too many hugs. Yeah. Yeah. Three types of
- 43:45Speaker 1: people in the world.
- 43:46Speaker 2: What kind?
- 43:49Speaker 1: Comment below.
- 43:49Speaker 3: Comment below. Which hug are you?
- 43:51Speaker 1: No.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Actually, don't do that.
- 43:54Speaker 1: Don't do that.
- 43:55Speaker 2: No, no, no, no.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Okay. Should we get into Tales from the DMs? Should
- 44:02Speaker 1: we see what people are writing in? See what sick
- 44:04Speaker 1: and twisted things people want us to read?
- 44:07Speaker 2: Let's do that, friends.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Okay. What do you always say?
- 44:10Speaker 2: What do I always say?
- 44:12Speaker 3: Say it with me.
- 44:13Speaker 2: While Michael is a lawyer, he's not your lawyer, so
- 44:17Speaker 2: you should get your own.
- 44:18Speaker 1: Okay, New Moon Magic wants to know, regarding the latest
- 44:21Speaker 1: episode talking about early voting, my partner is worried that
- 44:23Speaker 1: if we vote early, they are counted as absentee votes
- 44:28Speaker 1: and don't show up in the election night count. Is
- 44:31Speaker 1: that true?
- 44:31Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 44:33Speaker 1: I don't think so. CJ's going to Google it. Because
- 44:38Speaker 1: I don't know. But I'm going to guess and then
- 44:41Speaker 1: we'll confirm with CJ. Because my guess is that if
- 44:44Speaker 1: you voted, it counts. Even if it's not in the
- 44:47Speaker 1: election night, it's going to count at some point. So
- 44:49Speaker 1: eventually they get– if you're in line, stay in line.
- 44:53Speaker 1: So like eventually they're going to get to your vote, right?
- 44:55Speaker 1: So if you vote early, I think they're counted. Because
- 44:58Speaker 1: I'm seeing a lot of like early voting polls are
- 45:01Speaker 1: open now. Like Georgia is open right now.
- 45:03Speaker 2: Yeah, New York isn't open right now yet.
- 45:04Speaker 1: No, but I put it on my calendar.
- 45:06Speaker 2: Yes.
- 45:06Speaker 1: I saw that they mailed it to my house and
- 45:08Speaker 1: I put it on the calendar because I want to
- 45:10Speaker 1: go that first day. But in Georgia right now, they're
- 45:13Speaker 1: counting all the early votes. So if that's a harbinger
- 45:16Speaker 1: of how it works, then we'll find out. Yes, they
- 45:20Speaker 1: are included. Yes. Yep. I'm getting reports now that they
- 45:26Speaker 1: are included in the election night count. So your partner
- 45:32Speaker 1: told you that? Your partner's a liar. Don't listen to them.
- 45:36Speaker 2: Or your partner.
- 45:37Speaker 1: Didn't know just like we didn't know two seconds ago.
- 45:41Speaker 1: But tell your partner if they're not listening, they should.
- 45:44Speaker 1: And I'm on Cameo if they want me to make
- 45:48Speaker 1: a video.
- 45:48Speaker 3: Not Michael just shilling his Cameo.
- 45:51Speaker 1: I filmed the cutest Cameo last night. A lesbian couple.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Okay.
- 45:56Speaker 1: One month anniversary, they're moving in together.
- 45:58Speaker 3: Of course they are.
- 45:59Speaker 1: They were like, we want to celebrate with a cameo
- 46:02Speaker 1: from you. I was like, this is, I was like,
- 46:04Speaker 1: refund the fee. I'm making it for free. This is
- 46:06Speaker 1: the best thing I've ever made. Of course they are.
- 46:08Speaker 1: It's one o'clock in the morning. So it was like,
- 46:10Speaker 1: it was an expiring one. I had to make it
- 46:12Speaker 1: before bed. And I was like, turning on the lights.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Brad's like, what are you doing? I'm like, a lesbian
- 46:17Speaker 1: couple just got engaged. It's been one month.
- 46:19Speaker 2: It's been a whole month.
- 46:20Speaker 3: How do you keep it fresh, ladies?
- 46:22Speaker 1: They even said U-Haul in the recording. Okay. Which one
- 46:27Speaker 1: do you want to read?
- 46:28Speaker 2: So just because I know who this person is. Poonie's
- 46:31Speaker 2: mom regarding... Excuse me? Poonie. Poonie's mom regarding Selma Blair.
- 46:37Speaker 2: But she been biting people.
- 46:39Speaker 1: You know who that is?
- 46:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I do. Zan.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Friend of the pot? Yeah. The pet? No. Of the child?
- 46:46Speaker 2: Poonie is.
- 46:48Speaker 3: For some reason, when he was born... She made up
- 46:51Speaker 3: a name for him, and it was Poonie.
- 46:53Speaker 1: And it stuck.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but nobody calls him that. His name is Matthew.
- 46:56Speaker 2: We only call him Matthew. No, nobody calls him Poonie. Nobody.
- 47:02Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 47:03Speaker 3: It's so funny.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Yeah, Selma Blair, she's been biting people. There's a long
- 47:08Speaker 1: history of... Okay, Heather Glasgow won. I hope we have
- 47:12Speaker 1: an international following. Michael, love you. R.E. Kelly Clarkson, it
- 47:16Speaker 1: had a price tag.
- 47:18Speaker 2: Wow, this really.
- 47:19Speaker 3: This took off.
- 47:22Speaker 1: We were there when the meme began. We originated. We
- 47:26Speaker 1: were there when the meme originated. Yeah. Oh, I guess
- 47:29Speaker 1: I said that it wasn't for sale. It had a
- 47:31Speaker 1: price tag.
- 47:33Speaker 2: Oh.
- 47:34Speaker 1: And so I guess she was asking if she could
- 47:36Speaker 1: buy it. Are we Kelly Clarkson apologists?
- 47:40Speaker 2: I don't understand the story.
- 47:42Speaker 1: She was like, I want to buy this bird. And
- 47:44Speaker 1: they were mean to her about it. And then she
- 47:46Speaker 1: went to Twitter and smoked them.
- 47:48Speaker 2: Right.
- 47:49Speaker 1: And now... Chaos ensues. Brad and I are being Kelly
- 47:52Speaker 1: Clarkson and the bird for Halloween.
- 47:54Speaker 2: Which one are you?
- 47:56Speaker 1: Why don't you guess, actually? Why don't you tell me
- 47:57Speaker 1: which one I should be? Because this has caused great
- 47:59Speaker 1: debate in my friend group.
- 48:01Speaker 2: The bird.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Okay. So I was told.
- 48:05Speaker 2: Yes.
- 48:05Speaker 1: I'm going to look at every camera. I don't have
- 48:07Speaker 1: the gravitas to be Kelly Clarkson. Why you got to
- 48:11Speaker 1: play me like that? The rudest thing to say is
- 48:15Speaker 1: the gravitas to be the American Idol. I have to
- 48:19Speaker 1: be a bird? I have to be an animatronic bird?
- 48:21Speaker 1: What are you not saying? What are you not saying?
- 48:27Speaker 3: No, I'm not.
- 48:28Speaker 2: I think.
- 48:29Speaker 3: Okay.
- 48:32Speaker 2: If you had to be any animal.
- 48:34Speaker 1: I would be a bird.
- 48:36Speaker 2: Or a giraffe. Maybe you'd be one of those birds
- 48:41Speaker 2: that sit on top of the giraffe's head.
- 48:44Speaker 1: Comment below what animal we'd be. What animal would you be?
- 48:51Speaker 1: Some sort of cat-like. Your eyes are very cat-like.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I might be a cat.
- 48:58Speaker 1: What do people say? Like, what animal do you get?
- 49:01Speaker 1: I get giraffe and bird that sits on top of
- 49:03Speaker 1: a giraffe.
- 49:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:04Speaker 1: I feel like people say panther to you, but that's
- 49:07Speaker 1: like because you're wearing a lot of black and gold? Like,
- 49:10Speaker 1: I don't know. Like, I don't know if you're black. Like,
- 49:13Speaker 1: I feel like i think that's just like a default.
- 49:16Speaker 3: Um so my favorite animal is a hippo.
- 49:20Speaker 2: Yeah we know i love i love them they're so
- 49:22Speaker 2: cute i know they're yes i know all you do
- 49:25Speaker 2: is fucking.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Send me hippo videos babies oh it's out of control
- 49:29Speaker 1: andrew dang of it all he was like who's the
- 49:31Speaker 1: other one it's names like celery there's like a couple
- 49:34Speaker 1: there's like it's like mudang and celery okay There's a
- 49:38Speaker 1: second hippo.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Fiona.
- 49:40Speaker 1: It's Fiona. I knew it was something like Fiona.
- 49:44Speaker 2: I want to read this one because they agree with me.
- 49:47Speaker 1: Every girl named Fiona is going to just be my DMs.
- 49:50Speaker 2: No, no.
- 49:51Speaker 3: The hippo's name was Fiona.
- 49:53Speaker 2: We're not making it up.
- 49:54Speaker 3: She's big now, though.
- 49:57Speaker 1: She is.
- 49:58Speaker 3: She grew up. I think she was born during the pandemic.
- 50:01Speaker 3: She's six years old.
- 50:01Speaker 1: She's huge. She's huge now. She's a big bitch. She
- 50:04Speaker 1: came to eat, girl. She had her.
- 50:07Speaker 2: From Uncle Maricot, I think. I'm sorry if I'm saying
- 50:12Speaker 2: that wrong. Anyway, they say, I feel so seen. I
- 50:16Speaker 2: hate bananas, just like Melissa. And no one understands. Maybe
- 50:20Speaker 2: you can't taste it, but I could smell it from here.
- 50:24Speaker 2: Also trying to find smoothie recipes that don't use bananas
- 50:28Speaker 2: is futile.
- 50:29Speaker 1: That's actually true.
- 50:30Speaker 2: Love you both and this show so much.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Bananas are like a load-bearing ingredient in a smoothie.
- 50:36Speaker 2: And the worst thing about it is if you go
- 50:39Speaker 2: to a smoothie place and you say, I want the
- 50:42Speaker 2: X without the banana. Well, no, they'll make it for you,
- 50:46Speaker 2: but they don't ever really wash that thing very well.
- 50:50Speaker 3: It's like a bit of a rinse.
- 50:52Speaker 1: You can smell. You can still kind of taste the banana.
- 50:54Speaker 2: The essence of banana. That shit makes me so mad.
- 50:58Speaker 1: I'm getting so into perfumes. Wait, do you want to
- 51:01Speaker 1: smell this one? Wait, smell this one. I'm getting really into... Nice.
- 51:06Speaker 1: Thank you. Okay. So I'm getting really into perfume talk. Okay.
- 51:11Speaker 1: And there's this perfumer, like, reviewer, and I check... Is
- 51:16Speaker 1: it a guy? It's a girl.
- 51:17Speaker 2: Okay.
- 51:18Speaker 1: And she's in perfume school. Oh. She's learning how to, like,
- 51:21Speaker 1: make perfume.
- 51:22Speaker 3: Does she have.
- 51:22Speaker 2: Is she a nose?
- 51:24Speaker 1: Excuse me?
- 51:25Speaker 2: There's what they call them, the people who are able
- 51:28Speaker 2: to identify certain.
- 51:29Speaker 1: Like a super smeller or something? Yeah.
- 51:31Speaker 3: The nose.
- 51:32Speaker 1: So she reviews all these perfumes and all, like, And
- 51:34Speaker 1: then I'll buy a sample to see if I like it.
- 51:36Speaker 2: Okay.
- 51:37Speaker 1: And so I'm trying them all out. That smells nice.
- 51:39Speaker 1: Because I have ADHD, I don't remember what it is.
- 51:42Speaker 1: And then I move on to the next one really quickly. Okay.
- 51:44Speaker 1: So right now I just have about 50 samples in
- 51:47Speaker 1: my house. And I don't know what any of them are.
- 51:51Speaker 3: They're not labeled?
- 51:52Speaker 1: Some of them are, some of them aren't.
- 51:53Speaker 3: They're not labeled? Who's sending unlabeled fragrances?
- 51:56Speaker 1: Well, they're in like a thing with a label and
- 51:57Speaker 1: then I'm just putting them in there.
- 51:59Speaker 2: Okay.
- 52:00Speaker 1: It's really, no, it's always going to be me. That's
- 52:02Speaker 1: the problem. It was never them. But yeah, those bananas,
- 52:06Speaker 1: they're everywhere. Now that I know that, I see them.
- 52:08Speaker 1: But you eat plantains. You eat fried plantains.
- 52:11Speaker 2: Yes.
- 52:11Speaker 1: I've eaten a fried plantain with you.
- 52:13Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 52:14Speaker 1: It's kind of like a banana.
- 52:16Speaker 2: It is absolutely not.
- 52:17Speaker 1: Okay.
- 52:17Speaker 2: I mean, it's in the banana family, but they do
- 52:19Speaker 2: not taste the same.
- 52:20Speaker 1: Comment below.
- 52:22Speaker 3: Comment below. Green plantains do not taste- Green.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Those are tostones. Those are different from plantains.
- 52:27Speaker 2: No, they're not.
- 52:27Speaker 1: Yellow plantains- I need to calm down.
- 52:31Speaker 3: Take the bass out your voice when you talk to me,
- 52:34Speaker 3: first of all.
- 52:35Speaker 1: I need to calm down. No. I heard it.
- 52:37Speaker 3: Plantains is the thing, right? Sometimes they're green.
- 52:42Speaker 2: Yeah. Sometimes as they get more ripe, they turn yellow,
- 52:47Speaker 2: but it's still a plantain.
- 52:48Speaker 1: But you'll eat the yellow plantain?
- 52:50Speaker 2: No.
- 52:51Speaker 1: That's what I was asking.
- 52:52Speaker 2: Yes. I will eat the green plantain.
- 52:54Speaker 1: Okay.
- 52:55Speaker 2: Not the yellow plantain.
- 52:56Speaker 1: Okay, so then I want to know if he's eating
- 52:58Speaker 1: the yellow plantain.
- 52:59Speaker 3: Probably not.
- 53:00Speaker 2: Because the riper the plantain gets, the more like a
- 53:03Speaker 2: banana it tastes.
- 53:04Speaker 1: And I always say that. That's always been my catchphrase.
- 53:08Speaker 1: I've always said that.
- 53:12Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 53:13Speaker 1: Will you eat a green banana?
- 53:15Speaker 2: No. Oh. Because it's still got a banana taste. I mean,
- 53:20Speaker 2: I don't like bananas, guys.
- 53:22Speaker 3: At the end of the day- This has become the
- 53:24Speaker 3: dog and banana review.
- 53:26Speaker 2: I don't like bananas. You know what? Here's a list.
- 53:29Speaker 2: I don't like bananas.
- 53:30Speaker 1: I don't like Boston.
- 53:32Speaker 2: I don't like bananas. I don't like hazelnuts, and I
- 53:38Speaker 2: don't like blue cheese.
- 53:41Speaker 1: No blue cheese.
- 53:42Speaker 2: And I'm allergic to eggplant, which is not the same.
- 53:44Speaker 1: I love blue cheese. Same. Oh, my God. I love it.
- 53:47Speaker 2: I don't like that either. No. To me, it does. Immediately,
- 53:51Speaker 2: I'm like, ooh.
- 53:53Speaker 1: So what do you eat with hot wings?
- 53:56Speaker 2: I kind of like my hot weeds naked.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Really?
- 53:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:00Speaker 1: You like really spicy, though, so I bet it's got
- 54:01Speaker 1: a lot of sauce on it.
- 54:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Okay, do you want to share your hair product and routine, Melissa?
- 54:06Speaker 1: Because no one asks me for my hair product routine.
- 54:09Speaker 2: I don't know why not.
- 54:11Speaker 1: I haven't had hair in a good 12 years, so
- 54:13Speaker 1: it's been a minute.
- 54:14Speaker 2: I remember when you shaved your head.
- 54:15Speaker 1: It's been a minute. Stylin'. Yeah. The last hair I styled. Anyway,
- 54:19Speaker 1: your hair routine? Because I've heard a lot about this.
- 54:22Speaker 1: I'm actually quite well-versed. So I can actually join in.
- 54:25Speaker 1: I know it has to do with porosity. I know
- 54:28Speaker 1: that you've got to take one hair out and put
- 54:29Speaker 1: it in water to figure out how porous it is.
- 54:31Speaker 1: I've done the... I'm really... To.
- 54:33Speaker 2: Do the porosity test, your hair needs to be really,
- 54:36Speaker 2: really clean and just washed with shampoo and dried naturally
- 54:41Speaker 2: with no conditioner or product in it, because then that'll
- 54:45Speaker 2: affect the porosity of your hair. So you put it
- 54:47Speaker 2: in a thing of water. If it floats, it's low porosity.
- 54:53Speaker 2: If it sinks to the bottom, it's high porosity. If
- 54:56Speaker 2: it kind of floats in the middle, it's like a
- 54:57Speaker 2: little bit of both. And the porosity means how much
- 55:00Speaker 2: product your hair can take in. So I have high
- 55:04Speaker 2: porosity hair. So it takes a long time for my
- 55:07Speaker 2: hair to get wet. It's thirsty. The products that I use,
- 55:11Speaker 2: I mean, I'll put it on my socials or I'll
- 55:16Speaker 2: write to you directly. How did this person reach out
- 55:18Speaker 2: to us?
- 55:20Speaker 1: Instagram.
- 55:21Speaker 2: Okay.
- 55:21Speaker 1: Why are you gatekeeping the products?
- 55:23Speaker 2: I am not gatekeeping. I use two, I use, now
- 55:26Speaker 2: I'm using three different kinds of products, right? Three different lines.
- 55:29Speaker 2: So If anybody wants to know, one is OrganiGrow. The
- 55:34Speaker 2: other one is Curly World. And the third one, I
- 55:37Speaker 2: just started using Cardi B's products.
- 55:40Speaker 1: She's got products.
- 55:41Speaker 3: Grow Good.
- 55:41Speaker 1: She's got products. They're good.
- 55:43Speaker 3: They smell really nice.
- 55:44Speaker 2: I just started using them, so I don't know if
- 55:47Speaker 2: it's for my hair or not.
- 55:48Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 55:49Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 55:49Speaker 1: I learned from the perfume girl on TikTok that they
- 55:52Speaker 1: have to modify scents for the product. So if you
- 55:56Speaker 1: get like the Gucci perfume and also the lotion and
- 56:01Speaker 1: the body wash and everything, they don't just like add
- 56:04Speaker 1: the perfume to each one. They have to like literally
- 56:07Speaker 1: change the entire chemical structure for a conditioner, for a shampoo,
- 56:11Speaker 1: for a body wash because they'll smell different in each product.
- 56:15Speaker 1: So they have to like adjust it.
- 56:17Speaker 2: I never would have thought about that.
- 56:18Speaker 1: And they have to make it so that when you're
- 56:21Speaker 1: washing with the Gucci body wash, you don't smell crazy
- 56:25Speaker 1: coming out of the shower. That it actually washes away. Okay.
- 56:29Speaker 1: All right. If you guys want to ask your questions
- 56:31Speaker 1: about hair products, voting rights, politics.
- 56:37Speaker 2: Immigration issues.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Legal issues.
- 56:41Speaker 1: Someone check in next week, see if Melissa's finally hydrated.
- 56:43Speaker 2: Or don't.
- 56:47Speaker 1: We'll be back after this. Oh, someone said it's brooch,
- 56:50Speaker 1: not brooch. And it was you? Is that what you said?
- 56:54Speaker 2: Didn't I say it was brooch?
- 56:55Speaker 1: Okay, well, Erelicia says it's brooch.
- 57:00Speaker 2: Okay, so you're going to believe Erelicia. Never mind that
- 57:04Speaker 2: I was sitting here screaming at you.
- 57:05Speaker 1: Erelicia is going to write back and be like, that's
- 57:07Speaker 1: not how you say my name. It's Erelicia. I'm going
- 57:14Speaker 1: to get in so much trouble. Okay, well, thank you
- 57:17Speaker 1: for watching Brief Recess. Thank you for joining us this week.
