  Good morning, everyone, and happy belated Easter. He has risen.

  This is Have Faith, Let It Begin. My name is Angel Santana,

  and I cannot tell you how excited I am to be back with you on this amazing new
• 1:30
  journey as we come off the heels of Easter, and it's like a fresh,
• 1:36
  clean slate, and it's an opportunity for us to come together.

  So God bless you, and I hope you had an amazing Easter.

  This morning, I've been thinking a lot about faith, especially when I look at our youth.
• 1:50
  There's something happening. It's not loud. It's not flashy.
• 1:54
  But it's real. I see young people
• 1:57
  asking deeper questions, searching for something solid, something true.
• 2:02
  And in a world that is consistently shifting, that kind of faith matters.
• 2:08
  And then I came across a story that just stayed with me.
• 2:12
  United States airmen shot down over Iran, injured, alone.
• 2:17
  And he had to wait, not for a few hours, but close to 30, 30 hours,
• 2:25
  just trying to survive, hoping, praying, trusting his faith that rescue would come.
• 2:33
  Can you imagine what kind of waiting? No clear answers, no timeline,
• 2:39
  just silence and uncertainty.
• 2:42
  And I kept thinking, that's where faith gets real. Not when everything is going right.
• 2:50
  In the waiting, in the moments where you don't know what's next,
• 2:54
  when you don't know how this is going to turn out.
• 2:57
  And it brought me to Psalms 27, verses 13 and 14, which says,
• 3:03
  I remain confident of this.
• 3:06
  I will see the goodness of the Lord and in the land of the living.
• 3:11
  Wait for the Lord. Be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
• 3:17
  That word, wait, not once, but twice, because waiting isn't easy.
• 3:24
  I don't know exactly what that airman was thinking in those hours, but I do know this.
• 3:30
  You don't endure that kind of moment without something holding you together.
• 3:34
  And I believe faith plays a role in that.
• 3:39
  And maybe you're not in a situation like that right now, but maybe you're in
• 3:44
  your own kind of waiting, waiting for direction, waiting for healing,
• 3:48
  waiting for a door to open, waiting for God to move.
• 3:53
  And if we're being honest with each other this morning, that's where doubt shows
• 3:57
  up. Is anything happening? Did God forget me?
• 4:00
  I am on my own here. But Psalms 27 reminds us to be strong, take heart and wait on the Lord.

  Not because it's easy, but because God is still working, even when we don't
• 4:16
  see it. And that's what's encouraging.
• 4:19
  And that's what encourages me about this next generation.

  They're learning how to hold on.
• 4:25
  Not perfectly, but honestly. And maybe we can learn from that too.

  If you're in a waiting area, waiting timeline or waiting season today, don't give up. Hold on.

  Even if it's quiet and even if it's hard.
• 4:43
  God hasn't left you because you're not alone.
• 4:47
  Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we come before you this morning just as we are.

  Some of us are strong today, and some of us are tired from waiting.
• 4:56
  Lord, you see every situation, every unanswered prayer, every moment where we've
• 5:04
  been waiting, where we've wondered if you're still there.
• 5:09
  Remind us that you are. Give us strength to keep us going.
• 5:13
  Give us peace in uncertainty, and help us to trust you even when we don't understand.
• 5:19
  Just like your words say, teach us to be strong, to take heart and to wait on you.
• 5:28
  And Father God, I pray for our youth, continue to grow their faith,
• 5:33
  protect their hearts and guide them in the truth.
• 5:37
  We trust you. We trust and believe in you. We trust you, Lord, even in the waiting.

  In Jesus' name we pray, amen. May God be with you.

  May he shine his light upon you and grant each and every single one of you peace on earth.
