- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, what's going on? It's Romeo. We made it through
- 0:02Speaker 1: the week. We're at Wednesday, halfway there, right? We talked
- 0:05Speaker 1: about some of the actresses, these superstar actresses, these big-time
- 0:09Speaker 1: ladies that showed their boobs, you know, in movies, and
- 0:13Speaker 1: you were shocked about it. You know, kind of like
- 0:14Speaker 1: Holly Berry and Swordfish. We also talked about Tito's Vodka
- 0:19Speaker 1: versus Grey Goose Vodka. Let's see what happens. I don't
- 0:23Speaker 1: know if I've ever told you guys this story. I
- 0:25Speaker 1: may have told you it when it happened a couple
- 0:28Speaker 1: of years ago.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Um.
- 0:30Speaker 1: I was up north visiting my mom, and I went
- 0:34Speaker 1: for a run. It was probably about 6 a.m. 6 a.m.,
- 0:37Speaker 1: I think I went for a run. And I'm running
- 0:41Speaker 1: by this strip mall, and there's this bum. I see
- 0:46Speaker 1: this guy getting out of his Tesla, yelling at this
- 0:51Speaker 1: homeless dude who was sitting in front of his shop. Now,
- 0:56Speaker 1: mind you, it's 6 a.m. in the morning, okay? Nothing's open.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Nothing opens until it was probably a Saturday morning. It
- 1:06Speaker 1: might have even been a Sunday morning. No, maybe it
- 1:08Speaker 1: was Saturday morning. So at what time is everything open? Nine,
- 1:11Speaker 1: 10 on a Saturday, right? And this guy's yelling at
- 1:16Speaker 1: this homeless guy. And to get out, get out, get out. Well,
- 1:21Speaker 1: the homeless guy's trying to pick up a stuff and roll, right?
- 1:24Speaker 1: This guy pulls out a 38 on How do I
- 1:26Speaker 1: know what his 38 was? Because when I saw it
- 1:28Speaker 1: and I saw him pull out the gun, I ran over,
- 1:31Speaker 1: I was running on the street in front of the,
- 1:34Speaker 1: and I stopped and said, what in the hell are
- 1:35Speaker 1: you doing? And he pointed the gun at me. I
- 1:39Speaker 1: didn't really think he was going to shoot me, but
- 1:41Speaker 1: when somebody points a gun at you, hey, it's scary, right?
- 1:45Speaker 1: But you really believe some jackass in a Tesla is
- 1:48Speaker 1: going to shoot somebody? I mean, come on, this idiot
- 1:50Speaker 1: was just, he was just being an a-hole. It was
- 1:52Speaker 1: an awkward and a scary situation. So I grabbed my phone.
- 1:56Speaker 1: to call the cops, and he jumps in his car
- 1:59Speaker 1: and takes off. But basically, the guy was the shop owner,
- 2:03Speaker 1: and he didn't want this homeless guy in front of
- 2:05Speaker 1: the shop. But instead of calmly asking the dude to leave,
- 2:08Speaker 1: he pulls out a gun. Now, it was crazy. It
- 2:11Speaker 1: was awkward. But, you know, it all worked out for
- 2:14Speaker 1: the best, I guess. I mean, nobody got shot. This
- 2:18Speaker 1: idiot rolled off, you know, like a little bee in
- 2:20Speaker 1: his Tesla. But he was a man because he had
- 2:23Speaker 1: a gun. Alrighty. Four, two, five, four, seven to seven.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Let's talk about the craziest situations you've ever been in
- 2:28Speaker 1: the most awkward situations, crazy situations. How'd you handle it?
- 2:32Speaker 1: What happened? Have you ever been in a place when
- 2:35Speaker 1: it was being robbed? I have a friend that's been
- 2:36Speaker 1: in a place when it was being robbed. Uh, she
- 2:39Speaker 1: said that was scary. All right, let's talk about these
- 2:41Speaker 1: crazy situations, these awkward situations you've ever been involved in. Um,
- 2:47Speaker 1: I have quite a few of them. I have a
- 2:48Speaker 1: couple of real crazy ones actually. Um, And some awkward ones.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Gosh, I.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been in a lot of crazy situations in
- 2:58Speaker 1: my life, now that I think about it. I'm already 4'2, 5'4, 7'7. Hey, Romeo.
- 3:06Speaker 1: One time, me and the wife were out to dinner,
- 3:09Speaker 1: and my buddy's wife walks into the restaurant we're sitting
- 3:13Speaker 1: at with another dude. I guess she was cheating on him.
- 3:17Speaker 1: She looked at me. I looked at her. She just
- 3:21Speaker 1: sat down and never made eye contact again. Well, what
- 3:26Speaker 1: did you do? What did you do? How did you
- 3:32Speaker 1: handle it? Did you tell your friend? Did you walk
- 3:35Speaker 1: over and say hi? I mean, what happened? Rd425477, yo Rome,
- 3:41Speaker 1: craziest situation I've been in, Romeo, and I'm still in it,
- 3:44Speaker 1: married with my cheating wife. Well, at least you know.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I mean, why are you staying around if you don't
- 3:51Speaker 1: like it? All right, 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7. I was in an
- 3:56Speaker 1: awkward situation when I first moved to Bakersfield. This was
- 4:00Speaker 1: kind of funny. I broke up with the chick I
- 4:02Speaker 1: was dating because we lived in different towns, right? And
- 4:06Speaker 1: I moved to Bakersfield. I broke up with her because
- 4:08Speaker 1: we weren't going to live in the same town. And
- 4:11Speaker 1: I went to a show in L.A. with another girl
- 4:14Speaker 1: and another friend of mine. And she had found out
- 4:17Speaker 1: I was going to that show through the record label
- 4:20Speaker 1: who gave me the money or gave me the money,
- 4:22Speaker 1: gave me the tickets.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Right.
- 4:24Speaker 1: So she showed up like I don't even know why
- 4:26Speaker 1: she showed up. Like it was awkward, though. Luckily, the
- 4:30Speaker 1: chick I was with was cool. Hey, good morning, Romeo. Hey,
- 4:33Speaker 1: I was at a gas station getting gas and I
- 4:35Speaker 1: had my music on still in my car. The old
- 4:39Speaker 1: man yelled at me and told me to turn that off.
- 4:43Speaker 1: And swung at me twice with a crowbar when I
- 4:47Speaker 1: told him it's a free country and I can have
- 4:50Speaker 1: my music on if I want to. Luckily, I didn't
- 4:55Speaker 1: get hit, though. Like I said, man, you get in
- 4:58Speaker 1: these crazy, awkward situations, man. What happened? 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7. Talk
- 5:04Speaker 1: about these crazy situations, awkward situations you've been in. Look,
- 5:07Speaker 1: they don't always have to be dangerous. They can be funny.
- 5:10Speaker 1: They can be, you know... You could have got caught
- 5:13Speaker 1: with a girl and her dad walked in. That happened
- 5:15Speaker 1: to me once when I was in high school. The
- 5:18Speaker 1: football coach, I was dating the football coach's daughter. And
- 5:22Speaker 1: he was my football coach. And I was just a kid.
- 5:25Speaker 1: And I'm sitting there on the couch with her. He
- 5:27Speaker 1: walks in. And I was like, oh, hell, what's going
- 5:30Speaker 1: on here? And he was cool. What's up?
- 5:32Speaker 2: What's up, bro?
- 5:34Speaker 3: Nothing.
- 5:35Speaker 4: All right.
- 5:37Speaker 1: But, you know, you get a little scared sometimes. I
- 5:40Speaker 1: can tell you all kinds of crazy situations. I remember
- 5:42Speaker 1: when I was a kid, you know, I grew up
- 5:45Speaker 1: in Humboldt County on the Indian Reservation. Well, back in
- 5:47Speaker 1: the day, and they still do, but they grew a
- 5:49Speaker 1: lot of weed back then. So I'm with my uncle.
- 5:52Speaker 1: He's going to check on his plants. And here comes
- 5:55Speaker 1: camp flying over, coming in, coming in hard, you know,
- 6:00Speaker 1: SWAT style. We got to roll. And so now we're
- 6:03Speaker 1: just running down a hill trying to get away from camp.
- 6:06Speaker 1: We got away. But Tried to get away from camp.
- 6:11Speaker 1: What was even funnier is when I lived on the res,
- 6:16Speaker 1: camp used to, you know, they would, camp is the
- 6:20Speaker 1: government agency that would come in and rip up all
- 6:23Speaker 1: the pot plants, rip up all the farms. And they
- 6:27Speaker 1: would build, they would take it right down to the
- 6:30Speaker 1: bottom of the road. There was a clearing right by
- 6:32Speaker 1: the road to the dump. And they would just build
- 6:34Speaker 1: a pile, a pile probably as high as a two,
- 6:37Speaker 1: three-story building of weeds. And they light that bad boy up.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And me and my cousins, me and my friends, we'd
- 6:44Speaker 1: be sitting there on our bikes just watching a pile
- 6:46Speaker 1: of weed go up in smoke. No, we're probably 50
- 6:49Speaker 1: yards away. Just chilling. I mean, crazy. Situations we've been in.
- 6:56Speaker 1: All right, 8-4-2-5-4-7-7. Good morning, Hal. What's going on?
- 7:00Speaker 3: Hey, Romeo.
- 7:00Speaker 1: What up, man? I'm hearing you talk about a crazy
- 7:03Speaker 1: situation you've been in.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:05Speaker 3: And then you said somebody else said that they've seen.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Guy said he saw his buddy's wife with
- 7:13Speaker 1: another man at a restaurant. Sure.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Maybe. You might be right about that.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I don't know what he did.
- 7:19Speaker 1: He didn't tell me what he did.
- 7:20Speaker 3: He just said it was awkward for him, so....
- 7:33Speaker 1: If you see one of your friends' wives, would somebody
- 7:36Speaker 1: ask you to go and tell Romeo?
- 7:37Speaker 4: Me?
- 7:37Speaker 1: I'm snitching. I'm straight snitching like I'm under the lamp.
- 7:42Speaker 3: I'm taking pictures.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I'm taking pictures. I'm sending video. I'm snitching on everybody.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I like that. That's a good one. I've told you
- 7:53Speaker 1: that for decades. If I catch you cheating, I don't
- 7:56Speaker 1: even have to know you. I just have to know
- 7:58Speaker 1: you're cheating and I'm snitching on you.
- 8:00Speaker 3: All right.
- 8:00Speaker 1: All right. Eight, four, two, five, four, seven to seven.
- 8:03Speaker 1: What kind of crazy situations you've been in? Um, have
- 8:07Speaker 1: I ever caught any of my, my buddies cheating on
- 8:11Speaker 1: their old ladies? I don't think I have or vice versa.
- 8:14Speaker 1: I don't think I've seen that. All right. Eight, four, two, five, four,
- 8:18Speaker 1: seven to seven. What do you got? All right. So
- 8:20Speaker 1: crazy situations you've been in or, you know, awkward situations
- 8:23Speaker 1: you've been in. What do you got? Eight, four, two, five, four,
- 8:26Speaker 1: seven to seven. I could tell you all kinds of stories.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I remember one time I was 13 years old. I
- 8:33Speaker 1: had to go to Tahoe for my aunt's wedding, and
- 8:37Speaker 1: I had to be back home before they were leaving.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I had to be back for something. I think I
- 8:44Speaker 1: was playing football at the time, and I had to
- 8:47Speaker 1: be back for a game or something. And so I
- 8:49Speaker 1: had to take a Greyhound bus from Tahoe back to
- 8:54Speaker 1: the Bay, and about, I think about 30 minutes into
- 9:01Speaker 1: the drive, the lady sitting next to me started going
- 9:05Speaker 1: into convulsions and foaming at the mouth. And so what
- 9:09Speaker 1: was supposed to be a couple hour trip ended up,
- 9:13Speaker 1: we had to stop. We had to get medical attention
- 9:16Speaker 1: for this woman that was sitting next to me. It took,
- 9:19Speaker 1: you know, it was snowing. So it took forever for
- 9:23Speaker 1: the ambulance to get there. And it was creepy. Well,
- 9:28Speaker 1: this 13 year old kid Never got on a bus
- 9:31Speaker 1: again after that. Never got on a bus again. Crazy.
- 9:37Speaker 1: All right, 842-547-7. Yeah, so there's just a lot of,
- 9:43Speaker 1: we get put in a lot of situations, right? What
- 9:46Speaker 1: do you got? Oh, I got another one. I just remembered.
- 9:50Speaker 1: When I first got into radio, my first radio job
- 9:53Speaker 1: when I was in college, I used to have to
- 9:55Speaker 1: host a club, a nightclub. And I met the Bud
- 9:59Speaker 1: Light girl. And I started seeing the Bud Light girl.
- 10:03Speaker 1: And I was at her place. I didn't realize her
- 10:06Speaker 1: place was, she had an apartment. But her apartment was
- 10:09Speaker 1: on the grounds of her father, her mom and dad's compound.
- 10:15Speaker 1: It's huge. And he was like a director for the
- 10:19Speaker 1: FBI or something, like regional director for the FBI. Yeah,
- 10:23Speaker 1: that was interesting meeting him, to say the least. He
- 10:25Speaker 1: had all kinds of, that was kind of awkward. He
- 10:28Speaker 1: was cool after, you know, he realized we were dating.
- 10:30Speaker 1: But yeah, he was just, it was awkward. All right.
- 10:34Speaker 1: All right. 8-4-2-5-4-7-7. Like I said, man, what kind of
- 10:37Speaker 1: crazy situations have you been in? Apparently, I'm the only
- 10:40Speaker 1: one that's been in them. Let's talk about it. Let's
- 10:42Speaker 1: talk about some of the crazy, some of the awkward
- 10:43Speaker 1: situations you've been in. R-8-4-2-5-4-7-7-8. Romeo, when I was a teenager,
- 10:49Speaker 1: I was having sex with my girlfriend in my room
- 10:52Speaker 1: and her mom came to pick her up and I
- 10:54Speaker 1: forgot to lock the door. And her mom just walks in,
- 10:58Speaker 1: freaks out, called my mom. My mom acted all surprised.
- 11:08Speaker 1: All right, 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7, getting married. That's the craziest situation
- 11:13Speaker 1: you've ever been in, getting married? You know, can I
- 11:16Speaker 1: say something? I've got to tell you a story about
- 11:18Speaker 1: getting married, by the way. I was sitting at, where
- 11:21Speaker 1: was I at? Last weekend, I was sitting at having
- 11:25Speaker 1: breakfast with friends of mine in, I think it was
- 11:28Speaker 1: in Atascadero. I think it might have been where I was,
- 11:30Speaker 1: if I remember correctly. I was in one of those.
- 11:34Speaker 1: I think I was in Atascadero, right? So I'm having breakfast.
- 11:38Speaker 1: And my friend's got a bottle of champagne. They're having mimosas, right?
- 11:41Speaker 1: One of my friends, she says, well, we're not going
- 11:43Speaker 1: to finish this bottle. Give it to the guys behind you.
- 11:45Speaker 1: So I grabbed the rest of the bottle. I give
- 11:47Speaker 1: it to the guys behind me. And I go, here, guys,
- 11:50Speaker 1: have a good time. They're not going to finish this.
- 11:53Speaker 1: And it was a full bottle of champagne. And the
- 11:55Speaker 1: guys go, oh, the guys are laughing. They're like, oh,
- 11:57Speaker 1: my guy's getting married today. We can't get him too drunk, right?
- 12:01Speaker 1: And you just hear, when he said that, some guy
- 12:03Speaker 1: just yells out, don't do it. Why do you want
- 12:05Speaker 1: to get married? Sitting next to his wife. And I'm like, well,
- 12:09Speaker 1: you got to be a jackass, dude. I'm like, no, man.
- 12:12Speaker 1: And so I said, well, no, enjoy your wedding. Have
- 12:13Speaker 1: a nice day, guys. I mean, have fun. Enjoy everything
- 12:16Speaker 1: about it. Why you got to be an a-hole like that, right?
- 12:18Speaker 1: Why you got to tell some dude, for him, this
- 12:22Speaker 1: is the most exciting time in his life. He's getting
- 12:25Speaker 1: married to the girl he loves. And you got some
- 12:27Speaker 1: old jackass sitting next to his wife saying, don't do it.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Why you got to say that, man? Just keep your
- 12:33Speaker 1: mouth shut.
- 12:33Speaker 3: R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7-8, Rome.
- 12:37Speaker 1: This didn't happen to me, but to my son's mom,
- 12:40Speaker 1: they were at Walmart on Panama and our son was
- 12:43Speaker 1: singing his ABCs and out of nowhere, that was just
- 12:50Speaker 1: the end of the story. Oh, there you go. I-94.1,
- 12:54Speaker 1: the rhythm of the valleys, Romeo, and the 29th annual
- 12:57Speaker 1: Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Hispanic Business Conference and
- 13:01Speaker 1: Expo is happening this Thursday. That is the 27th, and
- 13:05Speaker 1: Jay is here. He's the president. He's the guy that
- 13:07Speaker 1: comes in and tells us all the information. What's up, Jay?
- 13:10Speaker 1: Not much. How are you doing?
- 13:12Speaker 2: I'm good.
- 13:12Speaker 1: That's good to hear. I'm glad to hear it.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I don't think we can come up with... longer titles, right?
- 13:16Speaker 1: That's all right. That makes it better. That makes it
- 13:19Speaker 1: better for people to listen. They need to, long titles are,
- 13:22Speaker 1: they're okay.
- 13:23Speaker 2: We're all good. Thanks for having me.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Double Tree, you're going to be at Double Tree by
- 13:27Speaker 1: Hilton at the hotel right there, 3100 Camino del Rio Court, right?
- 13:32Speaker 1: So it's going on from what, one to seven?
- 13:33Speaker 4: Yeah, so this Thursday, August 27th, from one to seven.
- 13:37Speaker 4: So it's going to be a long day filled with
- 13:41Speaker 4: lots of information. So from one to four, we're going
- 13:44Speaker 4: to have workshops. And so a couple of the workshops
- 13:50Speaker 4: we're going to have is Success Without Sacrifice. Pretty much
- 13:55Speaker 4: living and building a healthier approach to work and ambition
- 13:59Speaker 4: and personal wellness without compromising performance. So we'll have a
- 14:04Speaker 4: panel of experts who are going to talk about that
- 14:08Speaker 4: as well.
- 14:08Speaker 1: By the way, it's kind of funny that you have
- 14:10Speaker 1: to do that. People get so caught up at work
- 14:12Speaker 1: and forget about their life. Right. Outside of work and
- 14:14Speaker 1: it causes real problems. It's funny that we have to
- 14:17Speaker 1: have that type of workshop for people.
- 14:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:20Speaker 4: And I think it's funny that we have to schedule
- 14:22Speaker 4: time for our family.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Yeah. Exactly.
- 14:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:27Speaker 2: That's the life we live right now.
- 14:28Speaker 4: That is.
- 14:29Speaker 2: But yeah, pretty much life balance.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Well, not me. My whole life is goofing off.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:33Speaker 1: It's the life you guys live.
- 14:36Speaker 4: And, you know, just personal well-being and like how to
- 14:39Speaker 4: protect yourself and your mind and things like that. And
- 14:43Speaker 4: so- We are going to have these in English and
- 14:44Speaker 4: in Spanish in two separate rooms. So, you know, it'll
- 14:48Speaker 4: be like one to four, one to two will be,
- 14:52Speaker 4: you know, the success without sacrifice. Then we'll have another
- 14:56Speaker 4: one that's going to be called, it's going to, oh,
- 15:01Speaker 4: here it is. So it's going to be called Show
- 15:03Speaker 4: You the Money, Business, Finance, and Loans. So we'll have
- 15:07Speaker 4: a lot of financial industries or financial folks who are
- 15:11Speaker 4: going to be on this panel who are going to
- 15:12Speaker 4: show you how to finance a business, get a loan.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Something that you don't even have to pay back.
- 15:21Speaker 4: And I think this one is really important because it's
- 15:24Speaker 4: not if you qualify, it's how you go about applying
- 15:30Speaker 4: for the loan or.
- 15:31Speaker 2: How you prepare your application.
- 15:34Speaker 4: That's really the most important part of actually getting a
- 15:37Speaker 4: loan for a business or taking out a personal loan.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Now, those are from one to four, right? One to four.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Okay.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:44Speaker 4: So as I mentioned, one to two will be the
- 15:50Speaker 4: success without sacrifice. And then we'll have another one show
- 15:54Speaker 4: you the money.
- 15:56Speaker 2: And that'll be from two to three. And then we're
- 15:58Speaker 2: going to end it with sacrifice.
- 15:59Speaker 4: What everybody's talking about right now, which is artificial intelligence, AI.
- 16:05Speaker 4: And so it's going to be AI as your new collaborator,
- 16:08Speaker 4: unlocking innovation and productivity.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. There's a lot of people who
- 16:11Speaker 1: believe it. Yeah. Use it to help you, not to
- 16:13Speaker 1: hurt you. Yeah.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 16:15Speaker 4: So we have a great panel on both of them
- 16:18Speaker 4: as well, and that'll be in English and in Spanish.
- 16:20Speaker 2: So that's one to four.
- 16:21Speaker 4: And then from four to seven, we'll have what's called
- 16:26Speaker 4: like a live after five and then an expo and
- 16:30Speaker 4: networking event. So we have about 60 exhibitors in the
- 16:35Speaker 4: Doubletree Ballroom and anywhere from healthcare to financial literacy.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Well, hold on a second, Jay. Let's get to that next.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I just want to say a couple of things. So
- 16:48Speaker 1: it's going to happen this Thursday. The classes he's talking
- 16:51Speaker 1: about are 1 to 4 at the Doubletree at the
- 16:54Speaker 1: Hotel on 3100 Camino del Real Court. It's the 29th annual.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Hispanic Business Conference and Expo. I do want to say
- 17:02Speaker 1: this because how hard Mexican men work How do you
- 17:09Speaker 1: convince them to spend time with their family because they're
- 17:12Speaker 1: trying so hard? Because you're old school. You're old school
- 17:15Speaker 1: like me. You know how hard it is.
- 17:17Speaker 2: It's old school, but hey, that's ingrained in us.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 17:22Speaker 1: That's what I mean.
- 17:23Speaker 4: I mean, that's what was instilled. The day you were born,
- 17:27Speaker 4: it's like you're going to work, and you're.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Going to work and work and work.
- 17:30Speaker 1: How many of these kids are going to have to
- 17:32Speaker 1: tell their mom and dad, hey, we got to go.
- 17:33Speaker 1: You got to go learn how to balance everything. Jay's
- 17:36Speaker 1: going to teach you.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:38Speaker 4: You know, and I mean, seriously, like folks are still
- 17:41Speaker 4: coming back from the pandemic.
- 17:43Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 17:43Speaker 4: And it's just the price of, you know. Things nowadays
- 17:49Speaker 4: and at the grocery store are rising.
- 17:51Speaker 2: So, hey, you know what? We got to work.
- 17:54Speaker 4: And if that means taking a little bit of time
- 17:57Speaker 4: or a lot of time away from your family, we
- 17:58Speaker 4: got to do this.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Yeah, you got to do it. You got to do it.
- 18:00Speaker 1: This is wild. I couldn't imagine teaching my dad that.
- 18:05Speaker 1: For sure.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Try being raised by a Mexican and a Filipino.
- 18:10Speaker 1: All right, Jay, hold on a second. So the 29th

- 20:32Speaker 1: really is to see all the people and talk to them.

- 21:48Speaker 1: Or you can... What's up?
- 21:50Speaker 2: No.
- 21:51Speaker 4: I'm just saying, I mean, this is something that we
- 21:56Speaker 4: want the community to be involved in and our membership
- 21:59Speaker 4: as well. You do not need to be Hispanic to
- 22:02Speaker 4: come to this event. You know, Romeo, I've come on
- 22:05Speaker 4: and you have me on a lot and I appreciate
- 22:07Speaker 4: your support and also Hot 94.1.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I come in here because these.
- 22:15Speaker 4: these events and these, these expos and businesses, business conferences
- 22:20Speaker 4: and business workshops that we have, like these are at
- 22:22Speaker 4: no cost.
- 22:24Speaker 2: You're gaining knowledge.
- 22:25Speaker 4: Yes.
- 22:25Speaker 2: At no cost. The only thing that costs is going
- 22:28Speaker 2: to be your time.
- 22:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:29Speaker 4: So if you're a student that just went back to
- 22:33Speaker 4: college and you have time to come by, come by,
- 22:35Speaker 4: learn how to network, you know, If you're a small business.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Owner, come on by.
- 22:41Speaker 1: I want to say this because everything, a lot of
- 22:44Speaker 1: the things, almost everything you do, well, everything you do
- 22:47Speaker 1: is for our community.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Right.
- 22:48Speaker 1: And I think people kind of lose it when they
- 22:51Speaker 1: hear Hispanic Chamber. Right. I may be a different ethnicity
- 22:56Speaker 1: with a business, but I still want to cater to
- 23:00Speaker 1: the Hispanic community. Right. and this is one of the
- 23:02Speaker 1: ways to learn, maybe learn how to do that, or
- 23:05Speaker 1: maybe how, you know, it's not, I think people miss
- 23:07Speaker 1: that sometimes. Maybe your business isn't doing as well as
- 23:11Speaker 1: you'd like it to, and this opportunity here would give
- 23:14Speaker 1: you a chance to grow your business in some capacity.
- 23:17Speaker 1: You don't have to be Hispanic. You don't have to,
- 23:19Speaker 1: you know, it's just, Jay just happens to run the
- 23:22Speaker 1: Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. And you know what?
- 23:25Speaker 4: The word Kern County Hispanic Chamber is in there. So
- 23:28Speaker 4: Kern County, this is Kern County, and I'm going to
- 23:30Speaker 4: say this is that we need each other to survive
- 23:33Speaker 4: in this.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Oh, we all do.
- 23:36Speaker 2: I mean, so thrive.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:38Speaker 4: So, I mean, the folks that are going to be there,
- 23:41Speaker 4: the attendees, the guests, the exhibitors, they're not all Hispanic.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Yeah. You know, this is, this is for everyone.
- 23:49Speaker 4: And I really want, I want to advise everyone to
- 23:52Speaker 4: take advantage of our.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Workshops and also the networking part. If you bring your.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Business cards, if we don't have any business cards, there's,
- 23:59Speaker 4: you know, There isn't anything out there that I can
- 24:02Speaker 4: tell you, and I've been in this for a long time,
- 24:06Speaker 4: that you can just... How easy is it to just
- 24:10Speaker 4: pass out a business card or to get a business
- 24:12Speaker 4: card and to follow.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Up with somebody? And that's how you're going to make connections.
- 24:17Speaker 4: All right.
- 24:17Speaker 1: So it's all going down. 29th Annual Kern County Hispanic
- 24:21Speaker 1: Chamber of Commerce Hispanic Business Conference and Expo. It's going
- 24:24Speaker 1: on this Thursday from 1 to 7. Just go to
- 24:27Speaker 1: the website kchcc.org. Download your tickets going on at the
- 24:31Speaker 1: Doubletree over on Camino del Rio Court. You know where
- 24:34Speaker 1: the Doubletree is. Yes. You guys all went there and
- 24:36Speaker 1: partied at some point. At some point.
- 24:38Speaker 2: When it was Odyssey back in the day or I'm
- 24:41Speaker 2: aging myself. All right, Jay. But anyways, well, thanks for
- 24:45Speaker 2: having me on.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Thank you for always making time for me, Romeo.
- 24:50Speaker 4: Of course.
- 24:51Speaker 2: And then to our community, to our people out there,
- 24:54Speaker 2: come on down.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Don't miss it.
- 24:56Speaker 2: And it's at no cost.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Yeah, don't miss out. It's Romeo. It's hot 94.1. So
- 25:01Speaker 1: I've been getting a lot of, oh, yesterday I got
- 25:03Speaker 1: a bunch of text messages about Dolly Parton Dolly Parton
- 25:06Speaker 1: seems to be one of the most universally loved individuals
- 25:10Speaker 1: in entertainment, right? She's a huge success. Wrote, I don't
- 25:17Speaker 1: even know how many number one songs, how many hits
- 25:20Speaker 1: she's made. Obviously, a lot of people are upset she
- 25:26Speaker 1: passed away. And I don't know exactly. I think she
- 25:30Speaker 1: had cancer or something like that. I'm not totally sure why.
- 25:32Speaker 1: What I thought was interesting, there's a couple things I
- 25:34Speaker 1: find interesting about it. They want to change the Nashville
- 25:39Speaker 1: airport's name to Honor Dolly Parton. So they're doing a
- 25:47Speaker 1: petition to rename it. I was thinking, why do you
- 25:51Speaker 1: have to wait for her to pass away to do that?
- 25:55Speaker 1: As talented and as charismatic and as everybody, beloved as
- 26:01Speaker 1: she was, why do you have to wait for her
- 26:04Speaker 1: to pass away to name something after her. Why couldn't you,
- 26:07Speaker 1: why wouldn't you do it before? I mean, that's just
- 26:10Speaker 1: one thing. Um, and it's one of the other crazy
- 26:15Speaker 1: things that I thought, uh, in this world that we
- 26:18Speaker 1: live in, right? This world of sexuality and women using
- 26:23Speaker 1: sex to gain fame and fortune. Obviously she was classy
- 26:27Speaker 1: enough and talented enough that she never had to do that,
- 26:31Speaker 1: but she never, you know, she never showed her, was
- 26:34Speaker 1: she in Somebody might have said she was in, was
- 26:40Speaker 1: she in Playboy? Was Dolly Parton ever in Playboy? Hold on,
- 26:43Speaker 1: let me think. I want to say she did some
- 26:50Speaker 1: sort of article, but I could be wrong. Let me see.
- 26:56Speaker 1: She appeared on the cover of the October 1978 issue
- 26:59Speaker 1: of Playboy. That's what I thought, as the first country
- 27:01Speaker 1: music artist to be featured in the magazine. But she
- 27:04Speaker 1: never showed anything. which a lot of people out there,
- 27:07Speaker 1: because of her body, a lot of people wanted to
- 27:11Speaker 1: see her boobs. And could you imagine, you remember when
- 27:15Speaker 1: Kim Kardashian, oh, Kim Kardashian broke the internet. Could you
- 27:18Speaker 1: imagine what would have happened if Dolly Parton had ever
- 27:20Speaker 1: done that? I mean, obviously she never would have, because
- 27:24Speaker 1: she held herself to a higher standard than some of
- 27:26Speaker 1: these women who are less talented and just want to
- 27:29Speaker 1: show their boobs to gain fame. But it got me
- 27:34Speaker 1: to thinking, not about Dolly Parton. It got me to
- 27:36Speaker 1: thinking about, do you remember when... Do you remember some
- 27:42Speaker 1: of these celebrities, these female celebrities, these stars, when they
- 27:46Speaker 1: went topless in a movie and it just shocked everybody? Oh,
- 27:51Speaker 1: my God. I can't believe she did that. There was one.
- 27:55Speaker 3: I.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Think one of the... I'm trying to think of what
- 27:58Speaker 1: the biggest shockers were. You know? What's... the girl who
- 28:04Speaker 1: was in Smallville, she was in the, in a Seinfeld
- 28:07Speaker 1: episode where they're talking about if they're fake or real.
- 28:10Speaker 1: And then she was in some movie where she was
- 28:12Speaker 1: standing in a, in a, um, I think in a,
- 28:16Speaker 1: in a, in a balcony somewhere in a house on
- 28:18Speaker 1: a balcony, topless drinking coffee or something. And, oh my God,
- 28:22Speaker 1: everybody had to freeze frame it and see who it was. And,
- 28:25Speaker 1: But do you guys, is there any, do you guys
- 28:27Speaker 1: remember anybody that shocked the internet? Remember when Mark Wahlberg
- 28:31Speaker 1: did Boogie Nights? And at the very end, you were like,
- 28:34Speaker 1: oh my gosh. Because the whole movie was about, and
- 28:37Speaker 1: you never knew if they were going to show it
- 28:39Speaker 1: or not. And at the end, they showed something. But
- 28:43Speaker 1: can you remember any actor, entertainer that just shocked the
- 28:49Speaker 1: world when they went naked or something in a movie?
- 28:54Speaker 1: I don't think there's very many of them, to be
- 28:59Speaker 1: honest with you. Yeah, about the movie.
- 29:02Speaker 3: I remember when Halle Berry.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Which Halle Berry?
- 29:07Speaker 2: Was it Sources?
- 29:08Speaker 3: Oh, yes.
- 29:08Speaker 1: That was one. No, that was another one. I'm thinking
- 29:10Speaker 1: of another woman, but you're right. That was another movie
- 29:13Speaker 1: when she was sitting by the pool, and that just
- 29:16Speaker 1: shocked everybody.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Yeah, he walked up, and she just pulled that little
- 29:21Speaker 2: thing down, and her boobs were like, ooh, hello.
- 29:25Speaker 3: Yes.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I remember that, too. You're right. There's been a few
- 29:28Speaker 1: movies where women have gone topless and just shocked the world. Yes.
- 29:33Speaker 5: I was young when I seen that, so it shocked me.
- 29:35Speaker 1: That was funny. Alright, thanks for calling. I mean, I
- 29:39Speaker 1: don't know how many... Halle Berry's not the one I'm
- 29:43Speaker 1: thinking of. The woman I'm thinking of was on... She
- 29:46Speaker 1: was on Seinfeld. And I think she played... She was
- 29:49Speaker 1: on Smallville, maybe, also. But yeah, when she showed her
- 29:53Speaker 1: boobs in a movie, everybody was like, oh my god,
- 29:56Speaker 1: did you see it? And there were freeze frames and
- 29:58Speaker 1: pictures everywhere. but Holly Berry is another one. She's absolutely right.
- 30:03Speaker 1: I remember that in swordfish and I'm trying to think
- 30:08Speaker 1: those actually might be the only two times where a woman,
- 30:12Speaker 1: where people saw, saw an actress show her boobs and
- 30:17Speaker 1: they were shocked about it. Right. And everybody had to
- 30:19Speaker 1: see it. A playboy. Remember when I think playboy had there,
- 30:23Speaker 1: I think playboy had an issue that everybody wanted to see. Um,
- 30:30Speaker 1: maybe back in 2005, 2004, 2005, somewhere around there. Maybe
- 30:34Speaker 1: it was before that, that everybody wanted. Oh, of course.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Another one, Shannon Elizabeth in American Pie. Remember that? Yeah,
- 30:43Speaker 1: that's another one that just everybody was. Yeah. I mean,
- 30:51Speaker 1: I'm trying to think what was the Playboy episode? There
- 30:53Speaker 1: was a Playboy magazine that everybody had to see. And
- 30:56Speaker 1: I just, I can't remember. I think I still might
- 30:59Speaker 1: have it at the house. I just can't remember what
- 31:00Speaker 1: it was. All right, 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7. Like I said, there
- 31:05Speaker 1: have been moments in entertainment where an actress has showed
- 31:10Speaker 1: something that you never would have thought, and it shocked everybody,
- 31:13Speaker 1: and everybody talked about it and had to see it. Yeah,
- 31:18Speaker 1: I see these videos. Everybody, all these women talking about
- 31:21Speaker 1: their boobs or having no bra on for Dolly Parton
- 31:23Speaker 1: or something like that, but Dolly Parton was never one
- 31:26Speaker 1: of those women. Um, she held herself to a standard. Uh,
- 31:30Speaker 1: and not that it's a bad thing. I just, it's just, um,
- 31:35Speaker 1: I was just thinking about that. What, uh, those movies
- 31:38Speaker 1: are not television shows really, but movies, huh? Now, um,
- 31:43Speaker 1: I want to say, do you remember when somebody broke
- 31:45Speaker 1: the internet without break before there was the internet right there,
- 31:48Speaker 1: you have these superstars, these, um, real famous actresses, right. Who, um, uh,
- 31:55Speaker 1: have gone topless, uh, or done a nude scene in
- 31:58Speaker 1: a movie, and you just are so shocked that they
- 32:01Speaker 1: did it at their level of success, right? And why
- 32:06Speaker 1: would they do that? R-A-4-T-5-4-7-7. Holly Berry was the one
- 32:11Speaker 1: I think that was probably the biggest success that everybody
- 32:15Speaker 1: was shocked about from Swordfish, or maybe Monster's Ball. The
- 32:19Speaker 1: other one was, gosh, what was her name? Nobody remembers
- 32:24Speaker 1: her name? The one in Seinfeld, she was the one
- 32:27Speaker 1: who they kept saying, asking Elaine if they're real or fake,
- 32:31Speaker 1: or Elaine falls into her to touch him in a sauna. Gosh,
- 32:37Speaker 1: and she did a movie where she showed her boobs,
- 32:39Speaker 1: and it was just, oh, my God. Stop the world. Hey, Rome,
- 32:45Speaker 1: the most famous topless photo, topless, Phoebe Cates. Phoebe Cates,
- 32:51Speaker 1: Phoebe Cates, Phoebe Cates. Oh, from... Well, I know what
- 32:57Speaker 1: you're talking about. Your fast time at Ridgemont High. Well,
- 32:59Speaker 1: I'm not talking about the most famous. I'm just talking
- 33:02Speaker 1: about at that point in Phoebe Cates' career, I could
- 33:05Speaker 1: see her doing that. At the point where Holly Berry
- 33:09Speaker 1: went topless, she was already a huge success. She didn't
- 33:14Speaker 1: have to do that. She chose to do that, you know?
- 33:17Speaker 1: That's what I mean by that. Somebody who's so hugely successful,
- 33:22Speaker 1: and then they do something so shocking in a movie...
- 33:26Speaker 1: or a magazine, and you thought they would have never
- 33:28Speaker 1: done that. Hey, Rome, are you talking about Sable?
- 33:32Speaker 3: No.
- 33:33Speaker 1: There was a Playboy episode. I mean, a Playboy, gosh,
- 33:37Speaker 1: there was a Playboy edition that came out, I want
- 33:43Speaker 1: to say, gosh, I want to say in 2000-ish, somewhere
- 33:48Speaker 1: around there, that nobody could wait for whoever the celebrity
- 33:53Speaker 1: was or the star was. It was such a big,
- 33:56Speaker 1: I think she was such a huge star and she
- 33:59Speaker 1: did Playboy and just everybody. Gosh, I wish I could
- 34:02Speaker 1: remember who it was. But yeah, there's not very many
- 34:06Speaker 1: of them. I mean, there's not very many. There's there's
- 34:09Speaker 1: very few. I mean, you get some women who do
- 34:11Speaker 1: topless scenes when they're new, when they're just coming up
- 34:15Speaker 1: as actresses or actors. And but then they become a
- 34:19Speaker 1: huge success. Maybe Jennifer Anderson. She might have done one.
- 34:23Speaker 1: for some, maybe it was Jennifer Anderson, right? When she
- 34:26Speaker 1: was huge on friends. And then after that, I think
- 34:28Speaker 1: she may have done some, some sort of topless, uh,
- 34:31Speaker 1: magazine or something.
- 34:32Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 34:34Speaker 1: I don't know, but there's very few women who have
- 34:37Speaker 1: done it that, um, and I'm trying to think of like,
- 34:42Speaker 1: they would just broke the internet. I mean, if somebody
- 34:44Speaker 1: did it today, it would just break the internet. You know,
- 34:47Speaker 1: I don't know what actress you'd want. Well, maybe not today.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Cause today all these women are just, All these actresses
- 34:53Speaker 1: are acting like hoes on social media. I mean, they
- 34:56Speaker 1: all think it's, I don't know what they think, but
- 34:59Speaker 1: it's hard not to find naked photos of most actresses today, right?
- 35:05Speaker 1: I mean, they're all doing it. Back then, they didn't
- 35:08Speaker 1: do it. The actresses didn't do it. I'm just trying
- 35:10Speaker 1: to think. It's so hard. The only ones that stand
- 35:13Speaker 1: out to me are Holly Berry and the girl, gosh,
- 35:18Speaker 1: who was the girl from Smallville? The woman from Smoava.
- 35:21Speaker 1: I cannot think of her name. All right. What do
- 35:24Speaker 1: you got here? What do you got here? Talking about
- 35:26Speaker 1: some of these. Let's see here. Neve Campbell. Did Neve
- 35:32Speaker 1: Campbell ever go topless? I don't know if she ever did.
- 35:36Speaker 1: What we were having a conversation about is how, you know,
- 35:39Speaker 1: these women nowadays or back in the day, some of
- 35:42Speaker 1: these big time stars, they went topless in movies. or
- 35:46Speaker 1: in magazines, and you would be like, oh, was it
- 35:49Speaker 1: Neve Campbell in the Playboy? There was some huge star
- 35:52Speaker 1: that went topless in Playboy, and it just shocked the world.
- 35:55Speaker 1: You know, broke the internet before the internet, right? And
- 36:01Speaker 1: the only ones that I can think of was Holly
- 36:04Speaker 1: Berry and whoever the girl was, the woman was on Smallville, right?
- 36:09Speaker 1: I mean, a lot of women have done topless scenes
- 36:11Speaker 1: when they were up-and-coming actresses, but not after they became
- 36:15Speaker 1: really superstars, you know? Neve Campbell, let's see. Someone who
- 36:21Speaker 1: ruined their career from going topless was the girl from
- 36:24Speaker 1: Saved by the Bell in Showgirls. Oh, yes, you're right.
- 36:31Speaker 1: I don't think she ruined her career by going topless.
- 36:33Speaker 1: I think she ruined her career by doing that movie,
- 36:37Speaker 1: the stripper movie. She wasn't a very good actress anyways.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Because remember, what's-her-name did a stripper movie. Bruce Willis' ex-wife
- 36:47Speaker 1: did a stripper movie. I don't remember if she ever
- 36:49Speaker 1: went topless in that, though. Good morning, Rome. Was it
- 36:53Speaker 1: Shannon Doherty? Maybe it was Shannon Doherty. I just can't remember.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Who did the Playboy? Jessica Alba? You're saying it was
- 37:01Speaker 1: Jessica Alba that did the Playboy? Maybe. I remember there
- 37:05Speaker 1: was one issue of Playboy. I want to say it
- 37:10Speaker 1: had to be somewhere around 2000-ish that just stopped everybody
- 37:16Speaker 1: in their tracks. Everybody just wanted to see it. I
- 37:20Speaker 1: remember when Kim Kardashian did Playboy, was the only Playboy
- 37:24Speaker 1: I ever bought. See, but Kim Kardashian was a hoe
- 37:26Speaker 1: to begin with. I mean, that's not what I'm talking about.
- 37:29Speaker 1: I'm not talking about somebody who's a whore already. Kim
- 37:34Speaker 1: Kardashian made her name off a sex tape. Nobody cared
- 37:37Speaker 1: about that. She's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking
- 37:41Speaker 1: about these stars that have done it, and you're just
- 37:47Speaker 1: shocked that they actually did it. Bro, it was either
- 37:51Speaker 1: Jennifer Aniston or Jennifer Love Hewitt. Oh, maybe it was
- 37:53Speaker 1: Jennifer Love Hewitt. I can't remember. Gosh, I wish I
- 37:57Speaker 1: could remember. Anyway, there are not a lot of them
- 38:00Speaker 1: out there. You know, a lot of these actresses will
- 38:03Speaker 1: go topless in a movie when they're coming up because
- 38:06Speaker 1: they have to. But then they become superstars where they
- 38:10Speaker 1: get to dictate what they do. And for them to
- 38:12Speaker 1: go topless after that kind of shocks people like Holly
- 38:16Speaker 1: Berry in Swordfish. She didn't have to do that, but
- 38:18Speaker 1: she did. You know, there's not very many of them.
- 38:23Speaker 1: There's not very many. I don't think very many, very
- 38:27Speaker 1: many of them, very many of them have done it right.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Would you send me.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Here, Rome?
- 38:33Speaker 1: The girl on Smallville. That's not who I'm talking about.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Let me see. No, then I got the wrong woman.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Maybe it was Superman and Lois. Or Lois and Clark
- 38:46Speaker 1: or something. It was the woman who was on the
- 38:49Speaker 1: Seinfeld episode where they were always talking about whether her
- 38:52Speaker 1: boobs were real or fake. They were having that conversation
- 38:55Speaker 1: throughout the whole thing. Terry Hatcher. Thank you. It's Terry Hatcher.
- 38:59Speaker 1: I remember... Terry Hatcher did a movie one time where
- 39:03Speaker 1: she was topless and everybody freaked out. Oh, my God.
- 39:05Speaker 1: You could see her boobs. You could see her boobs.
- 39:07Speaker 1: It was crazy. Hey, Rome, was the Tia Carrera. She
- 39:11Speaker 1: was the Asian girl in Wayne's World, and she did
- 39:14Speaker 1: a movie, True Lies, with Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Playboy was 2003.
- 39:18Speaker 4: I don't.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Was it her? Maybe it was her. I can't remember.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Maybe it was Vida Guerra. I know somebody texted me.
- 39:27Speaker 1: One of my friends texted me, but sure, it wasn't
- 39:29Speaker 1: Vida Guerra. Maybe it was her. I don't remember. All
- 39:33Speaker 1: I know is there are very few women who have
- 39:38Speaker 1: done things that have shocked everybody, shocked society by going topless.
- 39:44Speaker 1: And yeah, broke the internet, I guess you would say, right?
- 39:50Speaker 1: It might be Terry Hatcher, Holly Berry from Swordfish. That
- 39:57Speaker 1: might be the only two. I think Nev Campbell. People
- 40:00Speaker 1: wanted to see Nev Campbell's boobs. She was a big
- 40:04Speaker 1: enough star. I think people wanted to see her boobs.
- 40:06Speaker 1: I'm trying to think. There's not very many of them,
- 40:09Speaker 1: but there's a few. I think Dolly Parton was probably
- 40:12Speaker 1: one of those celebrities that everybody was hoping. Although she
- 40:18Speaker 1: only did a Playboy cover. where she dressed up in
- 40:21Speaker 1: the Playboy bunny suit. But could you imagine if she
- 40:24Speaker 1: would have done it? Oh, my God, the whole world
- 40:26Speaker 1: probably would have stopped spinning.
- 40:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Hey, good morning, Rome. Gilrod here. I think a celebrity
- 40:34Speaker 1: that would get people's attention might be Billie Eilish if
- 40:37Speaker 1: she went topless. No, nobody wants to see that. Nobody cares. Sorry, Gilrod.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Nobody cares about that. Hey, good morning, Rome. My favorite
- 40:46Speaker 1: actor was Mia Coles. Ka... Who? I don't know who
- 40:51Speaker 1: that is. Who is that? Is that a porn star?
- 40:56Speaker 1: Mia Khalifa? I don't know. Wiz Khalifa? I don't know.
- 41:02Speaker 1: I don't know a lot about porn stars. We're not
- 41:03Speaker 1: what's going on. I'm guessing that's who it is. Hey,
- 41:05Speaker 1: what's up?
- 41:06Speaker 2: Oh, I know a lot about porn stars, too.
- 41:08Speaker 3: I came on Jeremy yesterday.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Oh, my God!
- 41:12Speaker 3: That's Dollar Genmo. And I turned around and I.
- 41:17Speaker 1: I said to my husband, Ron Jeremy.
- 41:19Speaker 4: He's like, yeah, I thought the same thing.
- 41:22Speaker 1: I thought Ron Jeremy was in jail.
- 41:24Speaker 3: He is, but he was at the store last night.
- 41:26Speaker 2: Oh.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Yeah. Can I get some tickets to Universal Studios? Let
- 41:36Speaker 1: me see if I have some. I would give them
- 41:38Speaker 1: to you if I had some, but I don't know
- 41:40Speaker 1: if I have any. One second. I still got dial-up internet.
- 41:46Speaker 1: I don't have fiber optics. Oh, no, I don't have
- 41:51Speaker 1: any today. But maybe tomorrow. Try again tomorrow.
- 41:54Speaker 3: All right.
- 41:55Speaker 4: All right.
- 41:55Speaker 1: Bye. Yo, Rome, what about Demi Moore and striptease? I
- 41:58Speaker 1: was wondering that. Did Demi Moore take off her clothes?
- 42:01Speaker 1: Did she go topless in striptease? I don't remember. But, yeah,
- 42:05Speaker 1: that could be one. Demi Moore was a big star.
- 42:08Speaker 1: All righty, 4254, 7 and 7. I do got a
- 42:10Speaker 1: question for you guys right now, though, and I don't
- 42:13Speaker 1: know if this is a stupid question or not, but
- 42:16Speaker 1: I think I got bamboozled at a restaurant. So last weekend,
- 42:22Speaker 1: I was in Thousand Oaks, and I went to this
- 42:26Speaker 1: place for breakfast called, what was it, Bo's Omelets and Waffles.
- 42:32Speaker 1: That's what it was called, Bo's Omelets and Waffles, and
- 42:34Speaker 1: I thought, you know what? All right, it's breakfast time.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Omelets and waffles, right? First of all, the name's a
- 42:41Speaker 1: little misleading, okay? Because it's not only omelets and waffles,
- 42:46Speaker 1: but it's bomb-ass Mexican food. It is freaking delicious, okay? So,
- 42:52Speaker 1: but this is what happened. Everybody ordered their meals, and
- 42:54Speaker 1: they ordered a waffle. Actually, nobody ordered an omelet or
- 42:58Speaker 1: a waffle, but nobody ordered an omelet or a waffle.
- 43:02Speaker 1: But they act, they bring out a waffle, right? And
- 43:07Speaker 1: so somebody at the table says, hey, we didn't order
- 43:09Speaker 1: the waffle. And the guy goes, the waiter comes back
- 43:16Speaker 1: after the server, after the guy, the food runner dropped
- 43:18Speaker 1: off all the food. And the waiter comes back and
- 43:21Speaker 1: he goes, oh, I know you didn't order the waffle.
- 43:24Speaker 1: It was an accident. Don't, you guys just get a
- 43:26Speaker 1: free waffle. And we're like, okay, whatever. Okay. Didn't think
- 43:31Speaker 1: much of it. The waffle was literally the best waffle
- 43:35Speaker 1: I've ever had in my entire life. It was perfect.
- 43:42Speaker 1: It was so good. It was like, I don't know.
- 43:48Speaker 1: It was just like candy on a stick. It was
- 43:50Speaker 1: so delicious. It was nice and crispy outside. I mean,
- 43:54Speaker 1: you guys, anybody who's ever eaten a good waffle knows
- 43:56Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. I've never even had a waffle
- 43:58Speaker 1: this good, right? And I didn't think much of it.
- 44:02Speaker 1: Until a couple of days ago, I was thinking, because
- 44:07Speaker 1: I thought it was misleading, the name, Omelets and Waffles.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Bo's Omelets and Waffles, because it really was very good
- 44:13Speaker 1: Mexican food as well. They had a traditional, very good
- 44:17Speaker 1: Mexican breakfast, things like that, right? And then I thought,
- 44:21Speaker 1: you know what? I wonder if they did that on purpose.
- 44:25Speaker 1: Because we didn't order a waffle, and we had never
- 44:28Speaker 1: been there before because we did mention, oh, it's our
- 44:30Speaker 1: first time here. What do you suggest? I'm wondering if
- 44:34Speaker 1: they brought that waffle out on purpose because now, oh,
- 44:38Speaker 1: I'm going to go back there. I will 100% go
- 44:40Speaker 1: back there, and I will 100% order a waffle when
- 44:43Speaker 1: I go again. But the first one's free? You think
- 44:49Speaker 1: he's like a crack dealer? He got me hooked on
- 44:52Speaker 1: the waffle? I wonder if they did that or if
- 44:57Speaker 1: it was just legitimately an accident, if they accidentally brought
- 45:00Speaker 1: us a waffle.
- 45:02Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 45:04Speaker 1: I'm questioning their marketing strategy because if it was, it
- 45:09Speaker 1: worked because I will go back there. I thought this
- 45:11Speaker 1: was kind of funny. I was at a breakfast spot
- 45:15Speaker 1: and it was named Omelets and Waffles, right? That was
- 45:18Speaker 1: in the name. So I went there and it was
- 45:22Speaker 1: in LA area, but nobody ordered a waffle, but they
- 45:27Speaker 1: brought a waffle. And I thought maybe, oh, just, okay,
- 45:30Speaker 1: it was an accident, whatever. And they said it was
- 45:32Speaker 1: just an accident. I didn't think nothing of it until
- 45:35Speaker 1: I was thinking yesterday or the other day. I was thinking,
- 45:36Speaker 1: I wonder if they did that on purpose. Because it
- 45:39Speaker 1: literally was the best waffle I've ever had in my life.
- 45:42Speaker 1: It wasn't like it was garbage. It was delicious. Even
- 45:45Speaker 1: to the point that I will go back there and
- 45:48Speaker 1: have it and order it. So I wonder if they
- 45:52Speaker 1: just know what they're doing. Because what does it cost
- 45:55Speaker 1: them to give a waffle out, right?
- 45:56Speaker 3: Nothing. Nothing.
- 45:58Speaker 1: But, I mean, I wonder if it was truly an
- 45:59Speaker 1: accident or if they set me up. Good morning, now.
- 46:02Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 46:03Speaker 3: You know, Rome, you got that waffle because you're f
- 46:06Speaker 3: * * * ing Romeo.
- 46:06Speaker 2: In the morning, bro.
- 46:07Speaker 3: That's why.
- 46:08Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 46:09Speaker 3: They heard you talking and they're like.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Oh, s * * *.
- 46:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:19Speaker 1: I don't think that was it. I appreciate the call,
- 46:23Speaker 1: but I don't think that was it. All right, man.
- 46:28Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. All right, brother. Um, yeah, I don't,
- 46:31Speaker 1: I don't think that was it. I think, uh, yeah,
- 46:35Speaker 1: I don't think that was it, but sure. Um, I'm
- 46:39Speaker 1: only Romeo in the morning in Bakersfield, although I wasn't
- 46:41Speaker 1: thousand hours, a couple of people did say hi to
- 46:43Speaker 1: me that, um, Somehow I knew I was from Bakersfield
- 46:47Speaker 1: when I did, so anyway. It is kind of weird,
- 46:50Speaker 1: by the way, being recognized in other cities. It's a
- 46:57Speaker 1: little interesting. Man, that's cold marketing right there, Romeo. I
- 47:01Speaker 1: don't know. I think it might have been. I think
- 47:03Speaker 1: they might have hooked me. I just didn't even realize it.
- 47:06Speaker 1: That's that old school hospitality they've seen from your appearance.
- 47:11Speaker 3: They said, this guy might need another waffle.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Let's give him a waffle. I didn't even order a
- 47:15Speaker 1: waffle at all. But the waffle was, you would think
- 47:18Speaker 1: when you go to a restaurant that has omelets and
- 47:20Speaker 1: waffles in the name, you need to either order an
- 47:23Speaker 1: omelet or a waffle.
- 47:24Speaker 3: I didn't order either one.
- 47:26Speaker 1: Okay, okay, so they said this man, once he tries
- 47:29Speaker 1: one of these, he'll be back. Well, I'm going to
- 47:32Speaker 1: go back. I just don't know if they did that
- 47:35Speaker 1: on purpose or if it really was an accident.
- 47:37Speaker 3: It was purpose. They hooked you, Romeo.
- 47:39Speaker 1: All right. You've been hooked. Well, it worked because the
- 47:43Speaker 1: place was great. Food was great. So, yeah, I'll go back.
- 47:47Speaker 2: All right, well, I'm going to have to try that one.
- 47:50Speaker 5: All right.
- 47:51Speaker 1: Yeah, you've got to go to the L.A. area. Bo's
- 47:54Speaker 1: Omelets and Waffles. But I guess I'm an idiot. How
- 48:00Speaker 1: do you go to a place that's called Bo's Omelets
- 48:02Speaker 1: and Waffles and not order an omelet or a waffle?
- 48:05Speaker 1: So I have one other thing to tell you before
- 48:07Speaker 1: we talk about something else. That is this. Will you
- 48:11Speaker 1: guys stop with the Tito's Vodka? And some folks I
- 48:16Speaker 1: was with were talking about, oh, we're going to get
- 48:18Speaker 1: these drinks. They got vodka. Rome, you want one? I said, yeah,
- 48:20Speaker 1: I'll take one. I drink it. What's in it? Tito's.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Best vodka, Tito's, the best vodka. Tito's is not the
- 48:28Speaker 1: best vodka. And I know it's very trendy and very
- 48:31Speaker 1: popular with you ladies and some of you sissy guys
- 48:35Speaker 1: out there, but Tito's is, it's like vodka light. Tito's
- 48:38Speaker 1: is like drinking. You know what Tito's is like? It's
- 48:41Speaker 1: like the ultra. It's like Michelob Ultra. Tito's is the
- 48:45Speaker 1: Michelob Ultra of vodka, okay? But it's not better than
- 48:50Speaker 1: Grey Goose. Stop trying to give me some watered-down vodka
- 48:56Speaker 1: and tell me that it's the best vodka. It is not, okay?
- 49:01Speaker 1: So can you guys just stop with that, please? Seriously,
- 49:05Speaker 1: don't act like you're doing something by drinking Tito's. If
- 49:08Speaker 1: you're drinking Tito's vodka, it's like drinking Coors Light.
- 49:14Speaker 3: You know?
- 49:15Speaker 1: In fact, Coors Light has probably got more out. Tito's
- 49:17Speaker 1: vodka is not... Stop saying... saying it's better than Grey Goose.
- 49:21Speaker 1: Just stop. Grey Goose is the best vodka. Just stop.
- 49:26Speaker 2: Oh, Romeo, you trippin'. Tito's is bomb.
- 49:30Speaker 1: Tito's. Hold on.
- 49:31Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 49:33Speaker 1: I'm not saying that Tito's is bad, but it's like
- 49:37Speaker 1: drinking light beer or vodka. And it's cheaper. But it's
- 49:40Speaker 1: not better than Grey Goose. And that's the problem I'm
- 49:43Speaker 1: having with my friends who all drink these Tito's margaritas
- 49:47Speaker 1: and these Tito's this and these Tito's that and go,
- 49:49Speaker 1: why do you drink that crap? It's like light vodka. No,
- 49:53Speaker 1: it's better than Grey Goose. No, it is not.
- 49:57Speaker 3: It's so good.
- 49:58Speaker 1: It's healthy. It's low-calorie. And see, my nickname is Tito Domo. Damn, see,
- 50:09Speaker 1: you like all of my friends. You all drank the Kool-Aid,
- 50:13Speaker 1: and now look at y'all. I got to link up.
- 50:16Speaker 5: With your friends.
- 50:20Speaker 1: All right you know it's funny that is because one
- 50:26Speaker 1: of all you women think just like she said you
- 50:29Speaker 1: think you're doing something with tito's you're not doing nothing
- 50:32Speaker 1: with tito's okay a friend of my real good friend
- 50:35Speaker 1: of mine she uh she's the same way she used
- 50:38Speaker 1: to be a big gray goose uh gray goose girl
- 50:42Speaker 1: and then uh She and then she switched to Tito's
- 50:46Speaker 1: like everybody else. Tito's done hooked all y'all. Remember when
- 50:50Speaker 1: Grey Goose was licked? Now it's Tito's, right? Tito's is
- 50:53Speaker 1: not as good as Grey Goose. It is like vodka light.
- 50:56Speaker 1: So you guys are crazy. But she went on a
- 50:58Speaker 1: cruise and they ran out of Tito's. She went on
- 51:02Speaker 1: a five day cruise with her husband. They ran out
- 51:05Speaker 1: of Tito's. She went back to Grey Goose. Guess what?
- 51:08Speaker 1: The first thing she told me when I saw them
- 51:10Speaker 1: when they got back. Romeo, you ain't lying. You absolutely right.
- 51:14Speaker 1: Grey Goose is far better than Tito's. I don't know
- 51:16Speaker 1: what all these people are thinking. I don't know what
- 51:18Speaker 1: I was thinking. Now she's back on the goose. I'm
- 51:22Speaker 1: just saying. You are so right.
- 51:24Speaker 5: Grey Goose is way better than Tito's. I love my
- 51:27Speaker 5: goose and juice.
- 51:29Speaker 4: Cranberry juice, tropical juice, any juice.
- 51:32Speaker 2: I can drink a whole bottle of Grey.
- 51:34Speaker 5: Goose if I wanted to and wake up 100% fine.
- 51:37Speaker 1: But Tito's got all these people bamboozled about it being
- 51:41Speaker 1: the premier vodka. And it is not. I don't know
- 51:44Speaker 1: how they did it. I don't know what happened. Maybe
- 51:46Speaker 1: it's cheaper?
- 51:47Speaker 5: It's a little cheaper. It's a little cheaper than Goose.
- 51:50Speaker 5: That's why I was so heartbroken when Rite Aid closed
- 51:52Speaker 5: because they had the cheapest bottle of Grey Goose in town.
- 51:56Speaker 5: You could get the big bottle for $ 20 at Rite Aid.
- 51:59Speaker 1: How much is it at Costco? Costco doesn't have the
- 52:03Speaker 1: cheapest bottle of Goose in town?
- 52:05Speaker 5: No, no, no.
- 52:05Speaker 1: I'm talking about, like, not wholesale. Oh, gotcha, gotcha. I
- 52:08Speaker 1: see what you're saying.
- 52:09Speaker 2: If you were just, you know, better than Winco or faster.
- 52:11Speaker 1: For wherever you're going to go, Rite Aid was always
- 52:13Speaker 1: on sale for $ 20, nothing more. But this, yeah, probably
- 52:17Speaker 1: because everybody wants Tito's for some reason. Tito's is fake vodka.
- 52:20Speaker 1: And you know what?
- 52:21Speaker 5: I think that Tito's was, like, the same price.
- 52:23Speaker 4: And I was like, no, always the goose.
- 52:25Speaker 2: When Rite Aid shut down, I went and stocked up. Well.
- 52:30Speaker 1: Damn, Alki.
- 52:31Speaker 4: All right.
- 52:31Speaker 1: Hey, it'll last a while.
- 52:33Speaker 5: It's not like vodka expires.
- 52:34Speaker 3: I ain't lying.
- 52:34Speaker 2: You ain't lying.
- 52:35Speaker 1: I ain't arguing with you. I ain't arguing with you.
- 52:40Speaker 3: All right.
- 52:40Speaker 5: You are 100% right.
- 52:41Speaker 2: Goose is better than Tito's.
- 52:42Speaker 3: All right.
- 52:43Speaker 1: Well, thank you for calling. Bye.
- 52:44Speaker 3: Bye.
- 52:46Speaker 1: See? I told you I was right. Grey Goose is
- 52:49Speaker 1: a far better vodka than Tito's, but all y'all bamboozled Ciroc.
- 52:54Speaker 1: Ain't nobody drinking Ciroc. Come on now. Hey, Rome. Let's see. Hey,
- 53:00Speaker 1: sorry about the dirty window, but it's cloudy and cool. Oh, yeah,
- 53:03Speaker 1: he is cloudy. Somebody sent me a picture. Yeah, I
- 53:06Speaker 1: haven't been out the studio since I got here around 3.30,
- 53:09Speaker 1: so I'll go check it out. Maybe if you guys
- 53:12Speaker 1: stop talking to me, I can get out of here
- 53:13Speaker 1: and check it out. From the Just Winged Studios, we
- 53:15Speaker 1: were talking about Tito's. Everybody's on Tito's, man. It's been
- 53:18Speaker 1: a few years. It's been probably, I don't even know
- 53:21Speaker 1: how many years, probably longer than a few, but Man,
- 53:23Speaker 1: Tito's got you all bamboozled. Tito's is the best. Tito's
- 53:27Speaker 1: is you don't get hangovers. You know why you don't
- 53:30Speaker 1: get hangovers and why it's the best? Because it's cheaper
- 53:33Speaker 1: and because it's like the light vodka of vodkas. It's
- 53:38Speaker 1: like drinking Michelob Ultra vodka is what it is, all right?
- 53:40Speaker 1: Goose is still far better, far superior product, okay? So
- 53:46Speaker 1: just stop. Vodka doesn't expire, Rome, but those prices will.
- 53:53Speaker 1: A couple of dollars more for quality.
- 53:55Speaker 3: Why would.
- 53:55Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. See, $ 22. Someone sent me a photo.
- 53:59Speaker 4: $ 22.
- 53:59Speaker 1: 78 for a bottle of Grey Goose. $ 16. 98 for a
- 54:03Speaker 1: bottle of Tito's. Okay. Yeah, that goose is worth that
- 54:06Speaker 1: extra $ 5 or whatever it is. Yeah, $ 5, $ 6. I'm
- 54:10Speaker 1: going to tell you right now. So you guys need
- 54:12Speaker 1: to just... And it looks like... Let me see that.
- 54:13Speaker 1: Let me see what that says there. Let me see
- 54:16Speaker 1: if I can see what the... Oh, I can't see
- 54:18Speaker 1: how much is in the bottle. But yeah. No, it's
- 54:20Speaker 1: way better.
- 54:21Speaker 2: You guys are.
- 54:23Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys are ridiculous. But Tito's is the one.
- 54:27Speaker 1: If you went and asked any vodka drinker right now
- 54:31Speaker 1: at any bar sitting there, and you said, hey, well,
- 54:34Speaker 1: it is 8-ish in the morning, so they might be
- 54:36Speaker 1: drinking that Stoli. But if you ask them, they'll say, oh,
- 54:41Speaker 1: I got Tito's. Tito's is the best. Tito's is not
- 54:43Speaker 1: the best over Grey Goose. Grey Goose used to be
- 54:46Speaker 1: a standard. Now Tito's is the standard, and you guys
- 54:49Speaker 1: are all wrong. Rome, Grey Goose is best on ice
- 54:52Speaker 1: with a splash of water and lime. A little bit
- 54:55Speaker 1: of salt. That's it. No juice. Okay. I'm with you.
- 54:59Speaker 1: All right. 8-4-2-5-4-7-7. Just understand. Okay.
- 55:05Speaker 3: Stop.
- 55:05Speaker 1: Stop telling me Tito's is all that.
- 55:07Speaker 5: Okay.
- 55:08Speaker 1: That's like saying I'll take a good beer over a...
- 55:12Speaker 1: I'll take a Michelob Ultra over a good beer. Okay.
- 55:15Speaker 1: That's just... It's not. Just stop. Please. You look ridiculous.
- 55:20Speaker 3: What's up, bro?
- 55:21Speaker 1: What up, brother?
- 55:23Speaker 3: I'm going to tell you like this. I ain't never
- 55:25Speaker 3: had no good liquor come in a plastic bottle. So
- 55:28Speaker 3: at the end of the day, I don't know how
- 55:29Speaker 3: Tito is supposed to be good if it come in plastic.
- 55:32Speaker 3: You put it out there like that.
- 55:37Speaker 1: Oh, you ain't never lied by saying that.
- 55:41Speaker 3: And I drink Grey Goose. It's either Beverly or Grey
- 55:44Speaker 3: Goose with me. I ain't never thought about trying nothing
- 55:47Speaker 3: called Cheetos because it comes in a plastic bottle.
- 55:50Speaker 1: Oh, that is hilarious. Oh, my God, that's hilarious. All right.
- 55:54Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. Good morning, Don. What's going on?
- 55:58Speaker 3: I got to agree with you, Romeo.
- 56:00Speaker 1: I prefer Grey Goose over Cheetos any day. Okay, okay.
- 56:04Speaker 1: Tito's used to just be the cheaper vodka when you
- 56:07Speaker 1: couldn't afford Grey Goose. Oh, no. People believe Tito's is real.
- 56:13Speaker 1: I understand with what you're saying that, you know, it
- 56:19Speaker 1: is a cheaper vodka when you can't afford Grey Goose,
- 56:21Speaker 1: but people don't look at it like that. People think
- 56:24Speaker 1: they're doing something with Tito's.
- 56:26Speaker 3: It's like the old clothes we used to wear back
- 56:28Speaker 3: in the day that were cheaper, and now they're expensive. Yeah.
- 56:31Speaker 3: It's the same thing with that Tito's.
- 56:33Speaker 1: All right.
- 56:34Speaker 5: All right.
- 56:35Speaker 4: I got an uncle named Tito, and he's always saying, oh, yeah,
- 56:37Speaker 4: my name's Tito, like all the girls like.
- 56:40Speaker 2: And I tell him, he's just cheap and outdated.
- 56:42Speaker 1: No. All right, so when it comes to this vodka,
- 56:47Speaker 1: I'm tired of you people thinking that you're doing something
- 56:49Speaker 1: by drinking Tito's. Tito's is like fake vodka. It's like
- 56:52Speaker 1: vodka light is what it is, okay? Grey Goose used
- 56:56Speaker 1: to be a standard of drinking vodka, and then there's
- 56:58Speaker 1: all these different versions of it. I get it. There's
- 57:01Speaker 1: even vodkas that are higher than Grey Goose, but Grey
- 57:04Speaker 1: Goose used to kind of be the standard, and now
- 57:06Speaker 1: everybody's telling me Tito's is the standard. You got to
- 57:09Speaker 1: drink Tito's. It's the best. It's less expensive. Look, it
- 57:12Speaker 1: may be less expensive, but it's not better than Grey Goose, okay?
- 57:16Speaker 1: So stop acting like it is. I mean, Tito's has
- 57:19Speaker 1: the world convinced that it's a better product at a
- 57:24Speaker 1: cheaper price than Grey Goose, and it's not. I mean,
- 57:27Speaker 1: I understand if you can't afford a real product, I
- 57:30Speaker 1: get it. Drink your Tito's, but stop acting like you're
- 57:32Speaker 1: doing something because you're not. Yo, Rome, what do you
- 57:35Speaker 1: think about Belvedere vodka? You know, I've never had Belvedere.
- 57:39Speaker 1: I actually have is I've had Grey Goose. I like
- 57:43Speaker 1: Grey Goose. And then I've had a couple of high,
- 57:45Speaker 1: high end vodkas. But no, I've never had a I've
- 57:47Speaker 1: never had that. Rome, has the saying gone, Romeo, a
- 57:55Speaker 1: gray goose makes you loose? As the saying goes. Rome,
- 58:01Speaker 1: bunch of bougie fools with the Tito's. Yeah, get down
- 58:06Speaker 1: to the corner store and get you a pint of
- 58:08Speaker 1: the good stuff. Yeah, you guys are trying to make
- 58:12Speaker 1: Tito's act like it's the standard for vodka. It's a cheaper,
- 58:16Speaker 1: lighter vodka is what it is, okay? So stop acting
- 58:19Speaker 1: like you're doing something and stop trying to convince me
- 58:22Speaker 1: because I'm right and you're wrong. What did you say
- 58:24Speaker 1: about vodka here? Hey Rome, what about Kettle One versus Goose? Um, well,
- 58:30Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't, it's been so long since
- 58:33Speaker 1: I've drinking Kettle One and I probably had Belvedere, but
- 58:37Speaker 1: the competition now is just between, and I think Ciroc's
- 58:40Speaker 1: gone the way of the past, right? Although I think
- 58:42Speaker 1: Ciroc made a good vodka. Um, But it's been a
- 58:45Speaker 1: long time. It's just this Tito's. So I don't know.
- 58:48Speaker 1: To be honest, it's been so long since I've had
- 58:50Speaker 1: Kettle One. Maybe I'll try it today and see and compare.
- 58:53Speaker 1: But it's been a while because I drink Grey Goose.
- 58:57Speaker 1: And I'm not a connoisseur of vodka by any means.
- 59:05Speaker 1: But I know what I like. And I know what's good.
- 59:09Speaker 1: And I'm just tired. of my friends and these people
- 59:11Speaker 1: trying to tell me you got to do Tito's. Tito's
- 59:13Speaker 1: is the only way to go when it's not. Why
- 59:16Speaker 1: would I drink Tito's when I can have Grey Goose?
- 59:20Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? Why would I do that?
- 59:22Speaker 1: That's just silly. But don't try to convince me that
- 59:24Speaker 1: you're right, that Tito's is that is just the ultimate
- 59:27Speaker 1: vodka drink. And it's better. It's not better than Grey Goose.
- 59:32Speaker 1: It's like drinking a watered-down version of vodka is what
- 59:35Speaker 1: it is. So a watered-down version of Grey Goose, it's
- 59:38Speaker 1: not good. So anyway. But as far as Kettle One,
- 59:42Speaker 1: it's been so long since I've had Kettle One. I
- 59:45Speaker 1: can't answer that question. But maybe I'll have a vodka-tasting
- 59:48Speaker 1: contest tonight just for funsies. This is funny. So yesterday...
- 59:57Speaker 1: A friend of mine stops by. See, I live, let
- 59:59Speaker 1: me tell you something. So I live between where I
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: grew up and where some of my friends live down south.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: So I live kind of in the middle. So when
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: friends of mine that I either went to college with
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: or high school with, are passing through because you got
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: to go through Bakersfield to get from Northern California to
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Southern California. When they're passing through nine times out of 10,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: they'll call me and say, Hey, we're passing through. Uh,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: let's stop and have lunch. Obviously, since I get off
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: so early, let's stop and have lunch and say hi
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: to each other, get a break before they head over
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: the hill and or vice versa. If they're heading back,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: that's a lot of times when I see friends that
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: I haven't seen, you know, that I grew up with
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: or went to school with. Well, a friend of mine, um,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Her and I were in college together. It was a
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: group of us, right? We were friends in college. And
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: she's coming through with her boyfriend. And they stop. And
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: this guy, this poor guy, I feel sorry for insecure dudes, right? Like, look,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: I am not a catch, okay? You guys all see me.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: I am not a catch. And she's hot. He's hot.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: And this fool was upset, got like upset because we
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: were talking about some stuff. And then he brought some
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: things up and he's like, and I said, oh, yeah,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: I've been there. I did that. He thought I was
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: bragging about stuff. And she's like, no, he's been there.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: He's done that. Like, I'm not trying to outdo you, bro.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I mean, I've known this woman for 20 years. If
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: she was going to sleep with me, she'd have slept
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: with me already. So don't act like, you know, don't
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: get insecure about your life.
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: And.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: It was kind of funny. And then I was I
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: was telling another friend of ours about it. And they're like, yeah, well, Rome,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: we we have done a lot in our lives. I go, yeah,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: we have done a lot in our lives. I've done
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: a lot. A lot of things that I don't tell
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: you about, a lot of things that I do tell
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: you about. But I do a lot of nonsense. I've
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: been a lot of places. I've done a lot of
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: things because I have a lot of friends that do
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: stuff and I'll go do stuff with my friends. I
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: don't pick and choose. The only thing I won't do
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: with my friends is go camping. But I'll do a
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: lot of stuff. Like, I got a phone call. And
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: you guys probably don't even know about this. I got
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: a phone call on Sunday, last Sunday, from my uncle,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: my mom's brother. And he's got a kid that goes
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: to school in the L.A.
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: Area.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: And his kid was going to go to something called
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Undertale Symphony School. Orchestra something or other at one of
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: the theaters down in L.A. or wherever.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: So him and his friend are going to go to
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: this show and the friend backs out. And because my
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: uncle bought the tickets, I guess the friend was going
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: to drive and he don't have a he don't have
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: a car yet. So he's down there, you know, at school.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: And he calls me. He goes, hey, you're close. Can
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: you go take your nephew to the... Or your cousin. Actually,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: he'd be my cousin, right? Yeah, because it's my mom's
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: brother's kid. So we'd be cousins. Yeah. Can you go
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: take your cousin to this event? And I'm not doing anything.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: I said, sure, I'll go. I don't even know what
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I'm getting myself into. Okay? But it's some orchestra playing
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: some video game soundtrack. But you wonder why... You know,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: I could sit there and tell you guys stories and
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: understand where you're coming from when you tell me stories.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Because I do everything. I don't even know what the
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: hell I'm going to. But I'm going because my uncle
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: asked me to or my friends asked me to. I'll
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: go just because I'm like that. I tell everybody I'm
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: the best friend to have because I am. So anyway,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: this jackass. It was hilarious. Anyway. All right, what else
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: we got going on? What do you guys want to
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: talk about? Howdy, 4.1, the Rhythm of the Valley. It's Romeo.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: So on social media, TikTok, Instagram Reels, things like that, right?
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: You see these videos. And I'll see videos. I'll look
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: at them every once in a while. And there's a
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: lot of funny stuff on the internet. There's a lot
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: of funny people, okay? But there's also a lot of
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: stupid people. Just stupid people that come up. And every
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: time something comes up that I just think is so
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: ignorant and stupid, I go to see how many followers
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: they got. And they'll have 100,000 followers, a million followers.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: Like there's these two chicks in L.A. that do the
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: stupidest rhymes and they just sit there. I don't even
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: know what the hell it is, to be honest with you.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: But it's just so ignorant. They got like 100,000 followers
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: or 200,000. It's just so ridiculous. Some of the people.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: And I wonder. And then I go, why would people
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: follow this? It's not. Don't get me wrong. There's some
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: entertaining stuff on YouTube. There's some entertaining stuff for you.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: But there's also some of the dumbest stuff on the
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: planet that I've ever seen. And with just huge following.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: So either you're getting dumber. or entertainment's getting weaker. But
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: let me be fair. I was trying to think of
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: the dumbest... We've all watched dumb things, right? I mean,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: we had to have when we were kids, and we
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: had to have watched... I don't know. I was thinking
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: about it. What's the dumbest thing you've ever watched before
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: the internet? Before the internet, okay? Before YouTubers, before these
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: quote-unquote content creators, before all that nonsense. And what I've
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: concluded is we didn't watch a lot of dumb things
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: because they weren't dumb. There was quality entertainment. Maybe that boxing,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: remember the clay boxing? Or maybe Beavis and Butthead. I
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: don't know. I'm trying to think of what the dumbest
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: things are that we watched in the 90s, in the 80s,
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: before the internet. Before they allowed every moron to have
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: access to a camera and the internet. R-E-D-4-2-5-4-7-7. It's out
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: at 4.1. Hey, how's it going?
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: I was just chiming in on a conversation about stupid
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: things we used to watch.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: Back when we were younger. Yeah, what do you got?
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: Ren and Stimpy. I think Ren and Stimpy was one
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: of those stupid shows that I used to watch back then.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: I'll give you that one. Yeah, that was an idiotic. Also,
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: that Beavis and Butthead was dumb. Yeah, Beavis and Butthead too.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm with all that.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Alright man thanks for calling alright thank you have a
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: good one you know remember that what was it MTV
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: had that celebrity boxing match where they were clay animated
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: that was stupid too good morning what's going.
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: On hello Romeo yeah what up man well have you
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: ever gone back and watched Rain and Stimpy like you
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: used to watch as a kid.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: Somebody just said that and no I have not yeah.
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: We're different than this area of kids why It's just wild, bro.
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: You have to get away with so much TV.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: I guess so. Yeah, you're right. It's all soft nowadays.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: All right, 8-4-2-5-4-7-7. But let's be honest about it, and
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: I understand what you're saying. TV is different, but the
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Internet is not. If you go on social media and
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: TikTok and things, all of the things that you thought
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: they can get away with on television when we were
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: kids and what we watched, it's still happening on Instagram.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: on YouTube, on TikTok, it might even be worse because
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: there's no regulations. You know what I'm saying? So kids
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: are still watching that stuff. I don't... Kids watching stupidity
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: is nothing new.
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: You know?
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: I mean, it's just different. We used to watch stupid
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: things too. But I think there wasn't as much stupidity
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: available for us. So, you know, but I just can't
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: believe so many people are making these idiots so much
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: money on social media. There's nothing good about it. There
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: are some really funny people on social media, 100%, without
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: a doubt. But there's also more idiots with that think
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: that you guys are following that I don't understand. But
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: just to be fair, when we were kids, we watched
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: stupid things, too, on television. What's up, Romeo? Raider Rob here. Hey, Rob,
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: what's going on?
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: What's up, bud? Hey, you know what I used to
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: like to watch was that celebrity death match with all
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: the clay.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Oh, my God, that was so stupid. There's nothing good
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: about it.
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: I used to sit there, drink a beer, and watch that.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: That was so dumb. Oh, my God. All right. All right, later.
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: Later, bro.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: I think somebody just texted me, but that's what I'm saying.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: There is a lot of, hey, good morning, Rome MTV's, uh,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Celebrity Deathmatch was always fun to watch. It was so stupid.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: So ridiculous. Hey, Rome, we used to watch Pee Wee
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Herman's Adventures. That was dumb. Uh, That was dumb, but
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: we still watched it. Yeah, Pee Wee Herman's Adventures was
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: kind of ridiculous, too. But, man. Good morning, how's it
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: going on?
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: Celebrity Death, Matt. That show you were talking about.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks, Matt.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: That was better than watching, like, wrestling.
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: Regular wrestling. Oh, I thought that was so stupid. Oh,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: my God, I thought it was so ignorant.
- 1:09:42Speaker 5: But, yeah, okay.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: All right, later. R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7. I'm just saying it was so,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: I don't know. You know, so I just, I see these,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: these people on the internet and they're, they got followers,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: hundreds of thousands, and they're so stupid. They're not entertaining
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: at all, but yet you still follow them. What is
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: wrong with you people? Are you getting dumber? So we're talking,
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: you know, I'm like the rest of you guys. I
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: watch YouTube and TikTok and Instagram, and I see all
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: these moronic people, these unfunny, just stupid, just stupid things
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: that people do. And they got these thousands and thousands
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: of followers. And I'm trying to keep it in perspective
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: and not blame you guys for all being morons. But, um,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: We kind of watched stupid things at some point before
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: the internet. I know we did, but I don't know
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: if it's the same. Don't worry. What's going on? I
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: don't know.
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: It genuinely affects me sometimes when I see these people
- 1:10:40Speaker 5: with no.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Talent becoming so famous for being dumb. Okay. You know,
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: there's people that are really talented and they get overseen
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: because they have too much talent there. They're too good.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: People that have no skills at all.
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: Turning them into celebrities.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: Okay. And I don't know if I'm a hater. I
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: don't know if Raider Day is a hater because it
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: hasn't worked for me yet. No, you're being a hater.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: You're absolutely being a hater.
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: Who cares?
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: Don't be mad at somebody else's success just because you
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: can't find it. I'm just saying, you know, it's... I'm.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: Not ready to sell my soul, though.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Some of them people think that people are laughing at them,
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: not really laughing with them.
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: Fair enough.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: Some people don't care either. All right. Hi, Raider Dave. Yeah,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: I get it. I get what he's saying. But, I mean,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: I don't know if Raider Dave has talent or not.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: But it's just the fact that you see these idiotic
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: videos and people are supporting it when it's not. Raider
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: Dave's right. It's not real talent. And here's why I
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: don't understand it. There is a lot of talented people.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: There's a lot of funny people on the internet. There's
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: a lot of good YouTube shows, YouTube channels. There's a
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: lot of good stuff happening on Reels and TikToks and whatever.
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: There is.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: But support that. Don't support the clowns that are just
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: morons that aren't funny. Hey, Rowan, what about... But like
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: I said, I got to be fair. I got to
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: believe when I was younger, I was watching... Before the internet,
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: I was watching stupid things too that people were looking
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: at me going, what the hell are you watching and why? Like,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Celebrity Deathmatch was moronic. Not entertaining. Yo, Rome, what about
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: Ren and Stimpy? Yes, Ren and Stimpy was... I never
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: watched Ren and Stimpy because it was so dumb. Yo, Rome,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: we didn't watch anything. Our parents wanted us out the
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: house and find something to do. Now we still watch something. Hey, Rome,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: I think the dumbest thing we watched were not on TV,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: but in person. To me, it was the clouds looking up, daydreaming...
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: uh looking for the shapes in the clouds okay well
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: i'll tell you what i'll tell you i did now
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: that i'm just thinking jerry springer stupid um you're right
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: because i used to me and my friends used to
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: go outside and watch the police burn all the weed
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: that they confiscated on the reservation in a big ass
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: pile we used to go sit and watch that that's
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: how stupid we were Hey, Rome, not necessarily following these people,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: but TikTok is a rabbit hole. Next thing you know,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: you're two hours deep sitting on the toilet and your
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: legs are numb from sitting so long. Yeah, I don't
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: do that. I don't know. I don't. I go to,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: I watch some of these videos or social media, scroll
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: through some for a little bit, but not to the
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: extent that you guys do. Yeah, I actually have a life. Hey, Rome,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: what do you got here? Rome, what kids watch isn't stupid.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: It's their generational programming. It's older or older people watching
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: these kids watch these weird, I can't keep my grandpa
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: off the phone all day watching AI creations and believing it. Oh,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: that's funny. I used to watch The Muppet. Oh, the
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: crank call show. Yes, that was stupid, too. The Crank Yankers?
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: Is that what it was called? I don't remember.
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: Romeo in the Morning.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Every morning. 94.1.
