- 0:07Dayna Roselli: I know, I know.
- 0:08Dayna Roselli: We all dread it, but it's a reality.
- 0:10Dayna Roselli: And for many people, it's all year long.
- 0:13Dayna Roselli: That's because it hangs over them.
- 0:15Dayna Roselli: Some people owe the IRS more than$10,000.
- 0:19Dayna Roselli: And literally, it's there, looking them in the face every day.
- 0:22Dayna Roselli: And that's why we want to tell you about targeted tax relief.
- 0:26Sean McAllister: Targeted tax relief was created by experienced tax professional Tracy Jansen.
- 0:32Sean McAllister: Tracy and her team have been doing our taxes for our company, and we could not have made it through this past crazy year without them.
- 0:40Sean McAllister: They are trusted, and targeted tax relief makes it easy.
- 0:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and since Tracy is an enrolled agent, she can negotiate directly with the IRS on your behalf, and that's what you want.
- 0:52Dayna Roselli: She is your advocate.
- 0:53Sean McAllister: Get a free consultation.
- 0:55Sean McAllister: They won't take you on unless they know they can help.

- 1:10Dayna Roselli: Or go to Targeted Taxrelief.com.
- 1:12Dayna Roselli: Nice and simple.
- 1:13Sean McAllister: Clarity and confidence are right around the corner.
- 1:17Sean McAllister: All you have to do is call.
- 1:18Sean McAllister: Targeted Tax Relief wants to hear from you today.
- 1:22Sean McAllister: 888-843-4113.
- 1:28Sean McAllister: It's episode 97 of Vegas Revealed.
- 1:32Dayna Roselli: Rumor has it, well, no more.
- 1:34Dayna Roselli: Adele makes her Las Vegas residency official.
- 1:38Dayna Roselli: Wait until you hear what she's doing to make sure ticket brokers don't buy up all her tickets.
- 1:43Sean McAllister: And Carrie Underwood opens the Resorts World Theater.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: Hello everybody, and welcome to behind the scenes of my Las Vegas residency reflection.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: Come on.
- 1:56Sean McAllister: Water was flowing, a jeep was smashed, and the sound system rattled some bones.
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: That's a show.
- 2:03Dayna Roselli: And Las Vegas is also full of cowboys and cowgirls for the National Finals rodeo, and there's a ton of entertainment for the country crowd.
- 2:12Sean McAllister: Let's spin that wheel and get to it.
- 2:32Sean McAllister: And uh Dana, it looks like December has brought a crap ton of visitors.
- 2:38Sean McAllister: And that kind of stays in line with all of the visitors that we've had over the past few months.
- 2:44Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 2:45Dayna Roselli: We got the numbers in from October, and Nevada Casinos matched a record streak of get this, eight straight months of one billion or more in-house winnings for October.
- 2:56Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's pretty incredible.
- 2:58Dayna Roselli: Um also McCarran International Airport saying uh last Tuesday that nearly 4.2 million passengers arrived and departed in October.
- 3:07Dayna Roselli: Now that makes it the busiest month since the coronavirus pandemic hit back in March of 2020.
- 3:15Dayna Roselli: So um travel is back, gaming is back, and I think Sean, what's interesting about this is we're talking about October numbers because it's always like one month, you know, behind when the number so and that's not even when like that overseas travel started again.
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: That was what, November 8th.
- 3:31Sean McAllister: That that was, that was the beginning of November.
- 3:34Dayna Roselli: Can you imagine what November is gonna look like?
- 3:35Sean McAllister: Well, I I don't know because remember in November we talked about that whole string of jackpots that were being hit.
- 3:43Sean McAllister: So that could put a hit on the on the house winnings since the players were walking out with some cash, but who knows?
- 3:50Sean McAllister: Yeah, maybe they're the kind of players that stick around and put it right back into the casino.
- 3:54Sean McAllister: No, you can't do that.
- 3:54Sean McAllister: Don't put it back in.
- 3:55Sean McAllister: Don't put it back back.
- 3:56Sean McAllister: But I do.
- 3:57Sean McAllister: That's that's why I that's why I'm not a millionaire right now.
- 4:00Dayna Roselli: Boy, lots of announcements, lots of kickoffs this week.
- 4:02Dayna Roselli: Um, exciting stuff going on over at Resorts World, exciting stuff coming to Caesars.
- 4:09Dayna Roselli: So we will get right to that.
- 4:12Dayna Roselli: Let's do it.
- 4:13Sean McAllister: All right.
- 4:14Sean McAllister: Hello.
- 4:16Sean McAllister: Adele is coming to Las Vegas.
- 4:18Sean McAllister: Finally, there have been years and years of rumors that Adele was going to have a residency here on the Las Vegas strip.
- 4:27Sean McAllister: And finally, she, Adele herself, announced this week that that is indeed going to happen.
- 4:34Dayna Roselli: It's so funny because just last week alone, I had one, two, three friends that started to really hear a buzz about it, and I got texts.
- 4:40Dayna Roselli: Is Adele getting residency here?
- 4:42Dayna Roselli: And I would always write back, rumor has it, resorts world or Caesars.
- 4:46Dayna Roselli: And that's what I said to everyone's response.
- 4:48Dayna Roselli: And then all of a sudden, rumor has it, is uh no longer what we have to respond.
- 4:52Dayna Roselli: So yeah, she's gonna do weekends with Adele at the Coliseum.
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: And I think that's kinda I like the weekends with Adele thing.
- 4:58Dayna Roselli: I think that's a cool name.
- 5:00Sean McAllister: It is, and the the Coliseum is a perfect fit for Adele.
- 5:04Sean McAllister: She is just like classy and a classic entertainer, and that's what that venue I think is best suited for.
- 5:13Sean McAllister: Yes, it can have the technology, and you can put on a spectacular production, but it it's she fits right in with I think what the the Coliseum at Caesars Palace was intended for.
- 5:26Sean McAllister: What it was built for, and what it was built for was Celine Dion.
- 5:31Sean McAllister: And I know Celine absolutely loves Adele.
- 5:34Sean McAllister: Celine has covered Adele songs in her own stage shows here in Las Vegas.
- 5:39Sean McAllister: So I think Adele, a great fit for Caesar's Palace, weekends with Adele, launches in January, and then it'll continue on uh weekends through mid-April.
- 5:51Dayna Roselli: And you know, and with her album just coming out, obviously now is the time.
- 5:55Dayna Roselli: She's hotter than ever, you know, and she just did that whole thing with Oprah, and and listen, I'm just gonna say I love Adele, um, but everyone keeps like going crazy, and I totally get it.
- 6:08Dayna Roselli: I totally get it, but I I kind of feel like I like her new album, but I feel like a lot of the songs sound like the last album.
- 6:15Dayna Roselli: A lot of them, to me, there's not much it's an Adele song.
- 6:18Dayna Roselli: Um, I'd like to see her branch out a little more.
- 6:20Dayna Roselli: That's my that's my Roselli two cents.
- 6:23Dayna Roselli: I am no expert at music, but for me, I don't know.
- 6:26Dayna Roselli: I'm not going crazy over Adele after this album, but that's that's I love it.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: She's a got a great voice.
- 6:31Dayna Roselli: I don't mind listening to it, but and she's gonna be amazing at the Coliseum.
- 6:36Sean McAllister: But see, I think that but I think it's the whole it's her lyrics and the stories that she tells in her songs that so many people can relate to.
- 6:47Sean McAllister: She's been through so much in her her personal life, especially these last few years, that a lot of people can relate to the to the ups and downs and trials and tribulations that that she has on this new album.
- 7:02Sean McAllister: And we haven't had anything new from her in a really long time.
- 7:07Sean McAllister: So people have been just itching to get new uh material, new songs from Adele.
- 7:13Sean McAllister: Really, the last thing she put out was the um Goldfinger, the James Bond theme song.
- 7:20Dayna Roselli: Right, yeah.
- 7:20Sean McAllister: She hasn't had her own original music since then.
- 7:22Sean McAllister: So no, no.
- 7:23Dayna Roselli: Um She had that that last I remember sitting where it was when the last album came out, and we were like dying over it, and I loved it.
- 7:30Dayna Roselli: You know what it is?
- 7:30Dayna Roselli: I think maybe the single she released, Easy On Me, is that what it's called?
- 7:34Dayna Roselli: Sounds a little like her songs from the other album.
- 7:37Dayna Roselli: But I do think when I go through the actual current album, there are some that, you know, don't like, you know, she kicked up a notch a little bit, which I liked.
- 7:45Dayna Roselli: So, um, so you know, that's cool.
- 7:47Dayna Roselli: I mean it should listen, just uh her show's gonna be great.
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: People the tickets are gonna go so fast.
- 7:52Dayna Roselli: And you were chatting um a little bit about the fan registration that's gonna be required for tickets.
- 7:58Dayna Roselli: I didn't read about this, so what is it?
- 8:00Sean McAllister: So, what Adele is doing for this concert is she's trying to avoid having all of the tickets be snatched up by ticket brokers and those bots that go on and clog up Ticketmaster and other ticketing websites as soon as tickets go on sale, and that pretty much leaves all of the actual fans out of the loop when tickets go on sale.
- 8:24Dayna Roselli: This isn't a huge, huge venue.
- 8:26Dayna Roselli: That's the best part about it.
- 8:27Dayna Roselli: But it's an intimate experience, so they're gonna go quick.
- 8:29Sean McAllister: They will go quick, and so what they're doing is they're having if you go on Ticketmaster and look up Adele's concerts at the Coliseum, you will have to register as a verified fan.
- 8:43Sean McAllister: You have to go log in, you have to prove that you're not a bot, and then you'll get emails back to let you know that indeed you have been verified as a real fan, a real person, and then you will be put in line to uh be able to buy tickets for so it's a first come, first served kind of thing.
- 9:06Sean McAllister: Um, so you want to verify and register yourself as soon as possible.
- 9:11Sean McAllister: Tickets I'm guessing that they're not gonna be cheap.
- 9:14Sean McAllister: Officially, uh the ticket prices have not come out yet.
- 9:18Sean McAllister: It will be less than if uh a broker were to buy them up and put them on a third market site.
- 9:24Sean McAllister: So I think kudos to Adele for looking out for the fans who've been wanting her to come here.
- 9:31Sean McAllister: Although I did see online people were like, what the hell?
- 9:34Sean McAllister: What about us over here in Europe?
- 9:36Sean McAllister: You're you're high selling it out of here.
- 9:38Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 9:39Dayna Roselli: Sometimes that happens though.
- 9:40Dayna Roselli: It happens to us too.
- 9:40Dayna Roselli: We have some of our, you know, people that we're like, what?
- 9:43Dayna Roselli: You're starting over in London?
- 9:45Dayna Roselli: You know, what about us?
- 9:45Dayna Roselli: Aren't you gonna tour here first?
- 9:47Dayna Roselli: And it's just kind of what happens, you know?
- 9:49Sean McAllister: They go worldwide and the nature of the business.
- 9:52Dayna Roselli: But it was interesting, uh, something I just put up on our TikTok from Journey, you know, Journey's been around forever.
- 9:57Dayna Roselli: They have a residency over at the theater at Virgin Hotels, and they were talking about how you know what we really feared doing this because you know, Vegas has in the past always been a place where you end up, where you end your career.
- 10:10Dayna Roselli: But then we started doing it and there was demand and we loved it and we had fun and we realized, you know what, we look around and everyone's doing shows now in the peak of their career.
- 10:19Dayna Roselli: And I think, like, you know, someone like Adele, um, Carrie Underwood that we're gonna talk about in a minute, uh, Katy Perry, you know, all these people, uh Gwen Stefani that we just went to, um, are doing shows while they're in the middle of their career.
- 10:34Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 10:34Dayna Roselli: So, you know, they're established, but they're not ready to end their career anytime soon.
- 10:39Dayna Roselli: So I think it was interesting to hear Journey talking about that, going, we had fear, but now we realize we can do this.
- 10:44Dayna Roselli: Doesn't mean we're done.
- 10:46Dayna Roselli: So that's kind of cool.
- 10:47Dayna Roselli: So Carrie Underwood, you're at you're a huge fan.
- 10:49Sean McAllister: I am.
- 10:50Dayna Roselli: And I know that we are looking forward to seeing her show eventually.
- 10:54Dayna Roselli: We haven't gotten there yet.
- 10:55Dayna Roselli: But the big news with Carrie Underwood opening at Resorts World is the fact that this is the first show at the new theater.
- 11:03Dayna Roselli: Nobody's been inside.
- 11:04Dayna Roselli: This is the first show utilizing that theater.
- 11:06Dayna Roselli: It was supposed to be Celine, but she had a medical issue, so that's been postponed.
- 11:10Sean McAllister: Right.
- 11:10Sean McAllister: So Carrie Underwood, uh, just within this last week, launched her residency, Carrie Underwood Reflection, inside the theater over at Resorts World.
- 11:21Sean McAllister: And we just got uh in our inbox the first pictures and video and reaction from the grand opening night, and man, let me tell you, it looks like it is a kick-ass show.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: It does.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: It looks great, it looks very Vegasy, you know?
- 11:42Dayna Roselli: Very vegan.
- 11:43Dayna Roselli: You gotta do it up.
- 11:44Sean McAllister: But I don't think that it's in your face, Vegas.
- 11:48Sean McAllister: You know, I think Carrie it looks like she's doing a great job with her costumes.
- 11:53Sean McAllister: There's a it looks like there's a couple points where she's wearing an Elvis-inspired jumpsuit, and another point where she's wearing a Liberace-inspired cape.
- 12:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I saw that.
- 12:05Sean McAllister: And there's some uh some other elements in the show that that definitely give a nod to the city where she's now playing.
- 12:14Sean McAllister: And she's even said in interviews before opening the show that you know what?
- 12:18Sean McAllister: Country girls, they like their bling, they like their glitz and glamour, and they've been doing Vegas style shows out in Nashville for generations, so it's only fitting to bring that here to Las Vegas now.
- 12:31Sean McAllister: They don't call it Nash Vegas for nothing.
- 12:33Dayna Roselli: Right, it's true.
- 12:33Dayna Roselli: And Carrie Underwood's never had a residency here, which I like.
- 12:36Dayna Roselli: It's not like the return of Carrie in Vegas.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: She's actually never had, you know, when we say residency, it means more than a few shows, you know, on the on the books.
- 12:44Dayna Roselli: So uh great stuff.
- 12:46Dayna Roselli: Let's hear from Carrie though, because she kind of goes through and describes the show and the theater.
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: Hello everybody, and welcome to behind the scenes of my Las Vegas residency reflection.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: Come on.
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: It's new, it's shiny, there's so much technology.
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: It is very exciting being the first person to play in this theater.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: We're just excited to get to break it in.
- 13:15SPEAKER_01: I love it because it doesn't feel like anybody's too far away.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: It really doesn't feel like anybody in this entire place would have a bad seat.
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: I feel like I can I can see the faces of the people that are all the way up top in the very top row.
- 13:29SPEAKER_01: They just did a great job, I feel like, for audience enjoyment.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: There's something glitzy and glamoury about women in country music.
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: We love our rhinestones, we we love our wardrobe changes.
- 13:43SPEAKER_01: We've been doing our own version of Vegas in Nashville for um generations.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: The next stop on our behind the scenes tour is to our wardrobe department.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: They have been working um fast and furiously to get everything ready for our first show.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: I feel like there were a lot of different reasons that reflection seemed to just fit what we were doing from a career standpoint and a life standpoint.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: Obviously, we we've been doing this for a few years.
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: We have a lot to reflect upon, and we wanted this to be a high-energy, high-impact hit show.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: Um so we we do, you know, go through every album and um kind of play the hits from every album.
- 14:26SPEAKER_01: So we are in that way reflecting, but then also just from a visual standpoint, it kind of gave us a lot of room to play.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: We do have dancers that are multi-talented, and we also have a few of them do some work in the air as aerialists.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: Extremely talented people setting vibes, making things look very beautiful.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: We do play around obviously with reflective surfaces and lighting and stuff like that.
- 14:52SPEAKER_01: There's a lot that you can do from a visual standpoint with something like reflection.
- 14:59Sean McAllister: So, Dana, I know we'll be going to see Carrie Underwood when she's back here in Las Vegas in March.
- 15:05Sean McAllister: And a big thank you to Carrie and Resorts World for sending over uh an incredible welcome package.
- 15:14Dayna Roselli: And Jesus, take the wheel.
- 15:15Dayna Roselli: I was like, this is a great package.
- 15:19Dayna Roselli: T-shirts and books and her Christmas album on vinyl.
- 15:23Sean McAllister: I'm gonna be working out to Carrie's new fitness app for two months.
- 15:27Dayna Roselli: I know we even got that microphone, too, that we might have to record a little fun podcast on.
- 15:32Dayna Roselli: Apparently, you can add music and you can do a little karaoke.
- 15:35Dayna Roselli: You can record right into your phone.
- 15:37Sean McAllister: She puts the carry in karaoke.
- 15:39Sean McAllister: Oh.
- 15:40Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 15:40Dayna Roselli: And it's a blinged-out microphone, too, so she was right.
- 15:43Sean McAllister: It is.
- 15:44Sean McAllister: So thank you, Carrie Underwood and Resorts World, for sending over some goodies to us.
- 15:48Sean McAllister: Uh, next up at Resorts World is Katie Perry.
- 15:52Sean McAllister: She has shows coming up uh later in December, I think even uh New Year's Eve performances, and then into the new year, uh Luke Bryan, and then uh Carrie Underwood is back.
- 16:03Dayna Roselli: And let's get to celebrations.
- 16:05Dayna Roselli: It's the Flamingo's 75th anniversary, and we're talking about the Flamingo Hotel Casino right on the strip.
- 16:12Dayna Roselli: We know it has a lot of history.
- 16:13Dayna Roselli: I didn't realize it had been 75 years, but they're doing all sorts of stuff this month, and you know, it's really an iconic hotel, the flamingo.
- 16:22Sean McAllister: And they still have uh, I mean, a handful of employees who were there on day one.
- 16:27Sean McAllister: There are our chefs in the back of the house who've been there and met their significant others working at the flamingo and grown families that are under the flamingo umbrella now.
- 16:40Sean McAllister: And um my favorite is uh take a listen to this dealer who's been at the flamingo for a long time and has actually had a lot of celebrities pull up to his table.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: On my table, I had I had James Brown, Tom Jones, and I had Joe Fraser, just to name a few that played on my table in the years that I've been here.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: My favorite was Tom Jones.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: I love Tom Jones.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: I love I love the saying, all of his songs.
- 17:13Sean McAllister: That laugh is infectious, isn't it, Dana?
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: Yes, I love it.
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: He was so excited, but I love to see the longtime employees there.
- 17:20Dayna Roselli: It's so great.
- 17:21Dayna Roselli: And yeah, I love even that the flamingo sent us some of those interviews and that they thought to do that.
- 17:26Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:26Dayna Roselli: You know, sometimes it's always put on obviously the entertainers who are used to being on camera.
- 17:31Dayna Roselli: And, you know, uh Wayne Newton on there too, talking about how, you know, the Flamingo was his first spot where he performed on the strip.
- 17:40Sean McAllister: It kind of made him Mr.
- 17:42Sean McAllister: Las Vegas.
- 17:43Sean McAllister: That's the first place that he really had a show and succeeded and and kept performing and becoming the entertainer he is today.
- 17:51Sean McAllister: And it kind of going off of what you were saying, Dana, about recognizing employees, the Flamingo has been doing a whole bunch of things behind the scenes to reward employees for their loyalty, and they've been doing giveaways and contests.
- 18:07Sean McAllister: But the giveaways and the giving spirit is continuing on for visitors here to Las Vegas.
- 18:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah, check out their website.
- 18:15Dayna Roselli: They have hotel and spa deals all through the end of the year.
- 18:18Dayna Roselli: So if you want to get here, come now.
- 18:21Dayna Roselli: Maybe you want to come right before New Year's Eve, hang out at the Flamingo.
- 18:24Dayna Roselli: You know, it was open by Bugsy Seagull.
- 18:26Dayna Roselli: It has so much history there.
- 18:28Sean McAllister: Oh, incredible history and an iconic property.
- 18:32Sean McAllister: The showroom, if you're ever over at the Flamingo to see a show, um, the longtime home of Donnie and Marie, Olivia Newton John performed there.
- 18:41Sean McAllister: My gosh.
- 18:43Sean McAllister: Um Tony Braxton had a show there for a while.
- 18:46Sean McAllister: They're great entertainers through the years, a classic showroom.
- 18:51Sean McAllister: Congratulations, Flamingo.
- 18:53Sean McAllister: Cheers to 75 more.
- 18:55Dayna Roselli: All right, and some other happenings in Las Vegas.
- 18:57Dayna Roselli: I should say two weeks of happenings, is the National Finals rodeo is finally here.
- 19:02Dayna Roselli: You've heard us talk about it, that it was coming.
- 19:04Dayna Roselli: We're excited that it's back here in Las Vegas.
- 19:07Dayna Roselli: I mean, there are so many uh country ex performing on and off the strip.
- 19:13Dayna Roselli: We couldn't even begin to mention them all, so we put them all on our website.
- 19:16Dayna Roselli: We have a long list of entertainment events, uh, country performances at vegas-revealed.com.
- 19:25Dayna Roselli: We've got the whole list.
- 19:26Dayna Roselli: Some of the shows that are in town, uh Reba, Brooks, and Dunn, which Sean and I are going to next week.
- 19:31Dayna Roselli: Also, Shania Twain is back at Planet Hollywood.
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: Uh gosh, who are is Jason Al Dean's in town too?
- 19:37Dayna Roselli: And all sorts of.
- 19:38Dayna Roselli: I mean, just the list goes on.
- 19:39Sean McAllister: Yeah, Rodney Carrington, uh, Josh Turner, um, the King King of Country, George Strait at T-Mobile Arena.
- 19:47Sean McAllister: By the time you listen to this, some of those shows may have already happened.
- 19:51Sean McAllister: That's why we were mentioning the um residency shows, because they have, you know, a longer run.
- 19:57Sean McAllister: But I mean, we're talking about Little Big Town playing at Virgin Hotels, Dirk's Bentley, um, it's it's just the downtown Hoedown down on Fremont Street.
- 20:08Sean McAllister: Uh it just goes on and on.
- 20:10Sean McAllister: There is so much entertainment happening from north to south, east to west, all over the Las Vegas Valley.
- 20:18Sean McAllister: And I've got to tell you, Dana, I stopped into the South Point Hotel and Casino, which is south on Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 20:25Sean McAllister: Not really considered the strip once you get that down far south, but there were a ton of cowboy hats in there.
- 20:32Sean McAllister: I I thought to myself, I was like, oh, I know if Dana was with me, she would say, Go get video of all those cowboy hats because it's great.
- 20:41Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 20:42Dayna Roselli: We love when the cowboys are in town.
- 20:44Dayna Roselli: And you know what?
- 20:45Dayna Roselli: People love their country music.
- 20:47Dayna Roselli: And we've talked about this before.
- 20:48Dayna Roselli: We have like a huge, I feel like country fan base here.
- 20:52Dayna Roselli: People come in from all over to see country music shows and concerts, but also people that live here.
- 20:59Dayna Roselli: I mean, such a huge following, and I get it.
- 21:01Dayna Roselli: I get it.
- 21:02Dayna Roselli: Because whenever I hear a good country song, I'm like, I get it.
- 21:04Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's just, you know, the words and they're kind of, you know, the real life situations.
- 21:10Dayna Roselli: They they're cut and dry, you know, they don't beat around the bush, so I love it.
- 21:14Dayna Roselli: Like that song Fancy Like.
- 21:16Dayna Roselli: It's how long has that gone like it's been at like number one for I don't know how long.
- 21:20Sean McAllister: It's such a good song, such a good song.
- 21:22Sean McAllister: But you know, this is like the Super Bowl of rodeos, the Wrangler National Finals rodeo.
- 21:27Sean McAllister: 300,000 people roughly come into Vegas over these 10 days of roping and riding action.
- 21:37Sean McAllister: So welcome to everyone who's here.
- 21:39Sean McAllister: If you're a rodeo fan and you're going out to see all the action, enjoy because it is quite a spectacle and it is it's a lot of fun.
- 21:47Dayna Roselli: Okay, and before we get to our tips, I wanted to mention, because we've talked in the past about how we were uh going to go to enchant the new Christmas uh village, I should say.
- 21:57Dayna Roselli: Christmas attraction, holiday attraction.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: Over at the Las Vegas ballpark, which is next to Red Rock Casino on the west side.
- 22:06Dayna Roselli: So we went and I wanted to just quickly touch on that because I did get a lot of questions in my inbox when we posted some videos from there.
- 22:15Sean McAllister: Yeah, me too.
- 22:15Dayna Roselli: So yeah, you know, a lot of um people asking if the ice skating was included and things like that.
- 22:21Dayna Roselli: So I I sent a text out to the publicist and I said, you know, people are asking questions, they want to know.
- 22:26Dayna Roselli: So to get in, it's like 20 bucks, right?
- 22:29Dayna Roselli: And I think there might be a different price for children under a certain age.
- 22:32Dayna Roselli: I'm not positive on that.
- 22:33Dayna Roselli: But people wanted to know if the ice skating was included, and it is not.
- 22:37Dayna Roselli: It's eight dollars to ice skate, and they do recommend making a reservation, but there's no time limit, so you can go as long as you want.
- 22:44Dayna Roselli: So not bad.
- 22:45Sean McAllister: It's a dollar edition.
- 22:47Dayna Roselli: So it because the ice skating was really cool.
- 22:49Dayna Roselli: When we went in, we noticed kind of like in a circle.
- 22:51Dayna Roselli: It's not just like that little square.
- 22:53Dayna Roselli: It's just different, it's right in the middle of all the lit-up trees.
- 22:56Dayna Roselli: So check it out.
- 22:56Dayna Roselli: If you're into ice skating, I think it's worth the extra eight bucks.
- 22:59Sean McAllister: Yeah, and they do have VIP packages available too if you want to spring for the higher dollar amount with you know private entrance and sweet access and all that stuff too.
- 23:08Sean McAllister: But it was.
- 23:10Sean McAllister: It was a great time and really put us in the festive atmosphere.
- 23:13Sean McAllister: There was even there were even some uh snow flurries fluttering down over us.
- 23:18Dayna Roselli: Snow flurries.
- 23:19Dayna Roselli: There were elves doing uh gymnastics, and uh, I think I saw Mrs.
- 23:23Dayna Roselli: Claus.
- 23:24Dayna Roselli: The treats were great.
- 23:26Sean McAllister: And Mr.
- 23:26Sean McAllister: Claus was there too.
- 23:29Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah, that's right.
- 23:29Dayna Roselli: I didn't miss Santa.
- 23:30Dayna Roselli: But then then there's this big beautiful tree in the middle, and there's all sorts of different themes and tunnels.
- 23:36Dayna Roselli: Then there's the uh there's the floor where you can hop on each square and it changes colors.
- 23:42Dayna Roselli: If you want to see more about that, go to my Instagram at Dana Roselli.
- 23:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 23:46Dayna Roselli: That was fun.
- 23:47Dayna Roselli: And also, there was something we walked by and didn't get to try, and it had to do with cheese.
- 23:53Dayna Roselli: What was that?
- 23:53Dayna Roselli: That was looked good.
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: I'm gonna post that eventually too.
- 23:56Sean McAllister: Reclett.
- 23:58Sean McAllister: Dana, it's the the French and Swiss Alps delicacy where the cheese is melted and scraped onto charcuterie or potatoes or bread.
- 24:08Dayna Roselli: Next time, next time.
- 24:10Dayna Roselli: We had already eaten too much, so we were trying to be good.
- 24:13Sean McAllister: Oh, I wanted it so bad though.
- 24:14Sean McAllister: That cheese looked great.
- 24:17Dayna Roselli: So enchant over there on the west side.
- 24:19Dayna Roselli: Even if you're visiting Las Vegas and maybe you're on the strip looking for something different to do, really cool, worth the drive if you want to get into the holiday spirit.
- 24:27Dayna Roselli: Spend a couple hours there.
- 24:28Sean McAllister: Alright, let's get to some tips.
- 24:33Sean McAllister: And this week we have something for foodies and we have something for sports fans.
- 24:39Sean McAllister: What should we do first, Dana?
- 24:40Dayna Roselli: Well, why don't we do the foodies?
- 24:41Dayna Roselli: Well, let's go downtown because we haven't talked about downtown yet.
- 24:44Dayna Roselli: And this is at circa.
- 24:46Dayna Roselli: And you and I have not eaten yet at 8 East.
- 24:49Dayna Roselli: I know people think we've been everywhere, which we kind of have, but there are places that we have not been to.
- 24:54Dayna Roselli: Because we do have, like, you know, work and errands to do.
- 24:57Sean McAllister: Well, and you have to put a cap on how many times you eat out in a week.
- 25:01Dayna Roselli: It's true, it's true.
- 25:02Sean McAllister: Sometimes it's a lot.
- 25:03Dayna Roselli: I hear great things about 8 East.
- 25:05Dayna Roselli: So I wanted to talk about it because they're doing this one night pop-up dinner, and it's December 11th.
- 25:12Dayna Roselli: Tickets are$150 with first come, first served seating from five to seven and then nine o'clock.
- 25:19Dayna Roselli: Um so there's here's the deal.
- 25:21Dayna Roselli: It's like they're joining with Ann Arbor's Miss Kim Korean restaurant for this pan-Asian pop-up dinner.
- 25:28Dayna Roselli: So it's a whole special thing.
- 25:30Dayna Roselli: So if you love this kind of food, maybe you're a foodie, you love to experience this kind of stuff.
- 25:35Dayna Roselli: December 11th is your night.
- 25:37Dayna Roselli: And I figured I would do it in this podcast because it gives you enough time to get there still.
- 25:42Sean McAllister: Right.
- 25:43Sean McAllister: And those crossover events are always really cool.
- 25:45Sean McAllister: I've been at some other restaurants when they've had other chefs coming in and combining with the chef teams at their own establishments.
- 25:54Sean McAllister: And there there is a lot of really cool collaboration that happens and uh a unique experience that you will not get again.
- 26:02Dayna Roselli: True.
- 26:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you it, you know, because people go out to dinner, but like, and it also I feel like brings people together too.
- 26:08Dayna Roselli: Because you're kind of like all experiencing this whole it's kind of like an occasion, you know?
- 26:12Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 26:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 26:12Sean McAllister: Very cool.
- 26:13Sean McAllister: Um, and then there's more news about the cake boss.
- 26:17Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 26:18Dayna Roselli: Buddy V, Buddy Velastro, uh opening another spot in Las Vegas.
- 26:23Dayna Roselli: This one called The Boss Cafe by Buddy V at the Link Hotel and Experience.
- 26:29Dayna Roselli: So it's gonna be over near the Link and the promenade and all that area, which is very popular for.
- 26:35Dayna Roselli: I mean, I feel like it gets a lot of foot traffic there.
- 26:37Sean McAllister: It gets a ton of foot traffic, and if you're ever having a hard time finding it, just go toward that big colored observation wheel.
- 26:44Sean McAllister: It's right at the base.
- 26:45Dayna Roselli: So this restaurant opening in early 2022, and I was reading through some of the highlights, and I know you picked out the mozzarella bar.
- 26:54Sean McAllister: Oh.
- 26:54Sean McAllister: See, do you are you catching like a theme?
- 26:57Sean McAllister: Like I went crazy about the reclette and now the mozzarella bar.
- 27:01Sean McAllister: Cheese is it.
- 27:02Dayna Roselli: Oh, I love cheese.
- 27:02Dayna Roselli: It's so good.
- 27:03Dayna Roselli: And listen, Buddy V's restaurant at uh the Venetian Palazzo is delicious.
- 27:08Dayna Roselli: The Carlos Bakery, there's always a line.
- 27:11Dayna Roselli: If you can get, you know, in line and get something, you're lucky.
- 27:16Dayna Roselli: Um then now he's adding the boss cafe to the list.
- 27:19Dayna Roselli: That mozzarella bar does sound good.
- 27:21Sean McAllister: And he's such a nice guy, too.
- 27:23Sean McAllister: Last time I was uh out for dinner at uh his restaurant at the Venetian, he was there and stopped by and we chatted and and then he went over to a table and had such a a great little interaction with a young fan of his.
- 27:37Sean McAllister: So he's he's a great guy all around.
- 27:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and then I've looked up a little bit more about the Mott's bar.
- 27:42Dayna Roselli: That's what it's called.
- 27:44Sean McAllister: Mozzarella.
- 27:45Dayna Roselli: Mozzarel.
- 27:46Sean McAllister: Mo Mozzarella, no L.
- 27:48Sean McAllister: Mozzarel.
- 27:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah, mozzarella.
- 27:50Sean McAllister: You drop the uh at the end.
- 27:51Dayna Roselli: My mom always says, Do you want some mozzarella on that?
- 27:53Dayna Roselli: I'm like, wait, yeah, oh yeah, but like, you know.
- 27:55Dayna Roselli: I grew up in like Rochester, New York, so we call it mozzarella.
- 28:00Dayna Roselli: But we moved from Jersey, so we've got like half and half going on over there.
- 28:04Dayna Roselli: Anyway, um, but listen to this.
- 28:06Dayna Roselli: It comes served with warm rustic bread.
- 28:09Dayna Roselli: Oh.
- 28:09Dayna Roselli: And your choice of basil, pesto, roasted peppers, tomato olive relish, or tomato, fresh basil, and aged balsamic.
- 28:19Dayna Roselli: So there's all sorts of it, just sounds delicious.
- 28:21Sean McAllister: I have to choose.
- 28:22Sean McAllister: Yeah, you have to choose.
- 28:23Sean McAllister: I can't have both.
- 28:24Dayna Roselli: No.
- 28:25Sean McAllister: I'll just order two.
- 28:26Dayna Roselli: You better save up.
- 28:28Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh, that's gonna be great.
- 28:29Sean McAllister: Uh so Dana, the game day experience has become a big thing here in Las Vegas.
- 28:35Sean McAllister: We have the Raiders here in town now.
- 28:38Sean McAllister: We've got the Golden Knights.
- 28:40Sean McAllister: There's talk about a baseball team, potentially a pro-basketball team.
- 28:45Sean McAllister: Well, we've got the Las Vegas Aces too.
- 28:47Sean McAllister: So we're a pro sports town.
- 28:49Sean McAllister: Part of that experience is getting to and from the venue on game day.
- 28:55Sean McAllister: Recently, uh, we had friends who offered us tickets to the Raiders game at Allegiance Stadium.
- 29:02Sean McAllister: We've talked about how parking prices are really high if you're driving down to the stadium and parking in that area.
- 29:10Sean McAllister: We've also talked about getting in and out, how it can be a little sketchy.
- 29:16Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 29:16Sean McAllister: Things have started to be figured out, and I don't think it's as bad as when everybody first started going.
- 29:22Sean McAllister: Uh but uh for this game, uh, my husband and I decided that we were going to take the Game Day Express.
- 29:31Sean McAllister: Oh.
- 29:31Sean McAllister: Now, this it's a series of buses that leave from different uh hotel casinos all over the Las Vegas Valley.
- 29:40Sean McAllister: It's run by the RTC here in the Las Vegas Valley, and it's you know those big uh the buses that have like the accordion in the middle.
- 29:48Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 29:49Sean McAllister: So it's like a big bus.
- 29:50Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 29:51Sean McAllister: At uh five locations around Las Vegas, they pick you up on game day, they take you to the stadium, they have their own designated express lanes, so you bypass all the other vehicle traffic, they drop you right off at the stadium, after the game, you go to a designated spot right outside of the stadium, and they zip you right back to the stadium.
- 30:14Sean McAllister: I mean, who wouldn't do this?
- 30:15Dayna Roselli: Like, I don't get it.
- 30:16Sean McAllister: But wait, it gets but wait, there's How much is it?
- 30:20Sean McAllister: For a one-way trip, it's two dollars.
- 30:22Sean McAllister: What?
- 30:23Sean McAllister: For a round trip, it's four dollars.
- 30:26Sean McAllister: So for under ten dollars, we got a round trip ticket to and from Allegiance Stadium, and we were dropped off right at the doorstep.
- 30:36Sean McAllister: And you just could not have been easier.
- 30:38Sean McAllister: We had friends who were tailgating there, so we got dropped off, went to the tailgate, went to the game, caught the bus afterwards, and dropped off at the casino.
- 30:47Dayna Roselli: And so you just park at the casino parking lot where you go.
- 30:50Dayna Roselli: So where'd you go, South Point?
- 30:51Dayna Roselli: Where'd you go?
- 30:52Sean McAllister: No, we went to the M resort.
- 30:53Dayna Roselli: Okay, so you went to the M, parked there, and then it that's it.
- 30:56Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 30:57Sean McAllister: Oh, and it was not packed.
- 30:59Sean McAllister: It I feel like it's the best kept secret for anyone going to games at Allegiant Stadium.
- 31:06Dayna Roselli: It truly is, and I don't know why it's a secret.
- 31:08Dayna Roselli: Why isn't there more advertising on this?
- 31:10Sean McAllister: I have no idea.
- 31:11Dayna Roselli: Who's who's the PR over at the RTC?
- 31:13Sean McAllister: I don't know.
- 31:14Sean McAllister: But I mean, it was the easiest thing.
- 31:18Sean McAllister: I won't say in the world, because I'm sure there's things that are easier, but it was really easy.
- 31:23Sean McAllister: There's an app that you download, you buy the tickets right on the app.
- 31:28Sean McAllister: Once you get the ticket, it gives you one of those QR codes that you scan as you get on the bus, and that's it.
- 31:35Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 31:36Dayna Roselli: What a great tip.
- 31:37Dayna Roselli: Boy.
- 31:38Sean McAllister: And I need to add, Dana, they have these uh passes for T-Mobile Arena too, so they drop you off uh for Golden Knights games.
- 31:46Dayna Roselli: Was the bus full of like Raiders?
- 31:49Dayna Roselli: It ended up being full.
- 31:50Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 31:50Sean McAllister: Yeah, but it's not like you had to wait in a line to get on the bus.
- 31:53Sean McAllister: People trickled in.
- 31:55Sean McAllister: The bus leaves every half hour.
- 31:58Sean McAllister: The last bus leaves an hour before game time.
- 32:00Dayna Roselli: I wish there was a shuttle to your house where the home office is from mine.
- 32:05Dayna Roselli: Because you know, I hate driving the highway.
- 32:08Dayna Roselli: I always tell you, like, and you we do live far apart from each other.
- 32:12Dayna Roselli: And I'm always like, oh, it'd be just so nice to just like sit here and have someone drive me.
- 32:17Sean McAllister: I'm sure there's a uh I'm sure there's a bus route I could find for you.
- 32:22Dayna Roselli: All right, well, we'll do that after the podcast.
- 32:24Dayna Roselli: We'll look it up.
- 32:25Dayna Roselli: Maybe I'll have to start.
- 32:26Dayna Roselli: I should try it one day and just, you know, record it.
- 32:29Dayna Roselli: And also just a little bit related, when you mentioned that we have all these sports teams and maybe eventually, you know, professional baseball team here, lots of rumors going around that the Tropicana's gonna get knocked down, and that's where the baseball field will be built.
- 32:42Dayna Roselli: Um, so it's it's kind of interesting, you know, and then people were showing renderings and joking around and stuff like that.
- 32:48Dayna Roselli: But but you and I were just saying, like, I don't know if we need another like thing on the strip.
- 32:52Dayna Roselli: It seems like build the infrastructure first and then build the stadium.
- 32:56Dayna Roselli: So it's getting it's getting really crowded.
- 32:59Dayna Roselli: Uh and I hate to say that because we just got over COVID and we're happy to have people here in cars and vehicles, but it's just getting, I don't know, it's just we need more like roads or routes or something over there.
- 33:09Sean McAllister: Yeah, but to have T-Mobile Arena, Allegiant Stadium, and a professional baseball stadium all within one mile of each other is berserk.
- 33:20Sean McAllister: Like what happens when there's a concert at one venue, uh sporting events at the other two, and or sporting events at all three.
- 33:29Sean McAllister: Can that happen?
- 33:30Sean McAllister: I don't know if every I don't know.
- 33:33Sean McAllister: I'm not good with my sport seasons.
- 33:35Dayna Roselli: Probably.
- 33:35Dayna Roselli: Maybe football, hockey, baseball.
- 33:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that could happen.
- 33:43Dayna Roselli: You know what needs to happen is that that loop needs to go underground and get going.
- 33:48Dayna Roselli: Because I know it's been approved, but like we need to get all that.
- 33:51Dayna Roselli: I mean, I think that will really help too.
- 33:53Sean McAllister: Start drilling those tunnels.
- 33:54Sean McAllister: Let's go.
- 33:55Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 33:55Sean McAllister: We need to get that.
- 33:56Dayna Roselli: That's a wrap on episode 97.
- 33:59Dayna Roselli: Want to thank our sponsor, Targeted Tax Relief.
- 34:02Dayna Roselli: The number to get a free consultation with them is 888-843-4113.
- 34:08Dayna Roselli: We talked about it at the top of the podcast.
- 34:11Dayna Roselli: Uh, Tracy Jansen, an experienced tax professional.
- 34:14Dayna Roselli: If you owe the IRS more than 10,000 bucks, she can help get that number down.
- 34:20Sean McAllister: Yeah, she really can.
- 34:21Sean McAllister: If you're getting those letters, if you're getting the phone calls, if you're living with that everyday worry that the IRS is gonna come knock on your door, targeted tax relief is the way to go.
- 34:31Sean McAllister: Give them a call, 888 843 4113.
- 34:36Dayna Roselli: Have a great week, everyone.
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: Let's go to vegetables.
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: Let's go to vegetables.
