- 1:16Speaker 2: Good evening and well too delayed, but not that night
- 1:20Speaker 2: the podcast night I believe you have a my best
- 1:26Speaker 2: friends Remenda Paris on tonight.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Before again, I would like to go to the Lord
- 1:33Speaker 3: in prayer, Heavenly Father, I come to year with night
- 1:36Speaker 3: for you to be in the midst of the conversations
- 1:38Speaker 3: tonighte with a blessing to the fears and fears of
- 1:43Speaker 3: your words, and you.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Can all of the expans from praying and prayer came
- 1:48Speaker 2: in so without further too mistal leaders. Yes, ma'am, I
- 1:56Speaker 2: am here.
- 1:57Speaker 4: How are you.
- 1:59Speaker 2: I? And then about with film, I am here, I understand. Listen,
- 2:07Speaker 2: I wanted to talk to you about regulations on recently
- 2:20Speaker 2: and I just to you about for a moment you
- 2:26Speaker 2: got from and if you got because you ask no questions,
- 2:36Speaker 2: introduce yourself to you.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Okay. Well, I don't know if you guys can hear
- 2:45Speaker 4: me because of that music that's playing in the background.
- 2:49Speaker 4: We hear I hear you. I'm not sure. Okay. My
- 2:57Speaker 4: name is TREEDA Harris. Okay, can y'all hear me. Yeah, okay,
- 3:10Speaker 4: I don't know what happens, but anyway, I'm Trebita Harrison
- 3:13Speaker 4: from Spyboro, South Carolina. I am a mother of three,
- 3:18Speaker 4: I am a grandmother of two. I am my author,
- 3:21Speaker 4: a publisher. I think that's about it about me.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Okay. So I asked.
- 3:36Speaker 3: What major write your first what inspires you to write
- 3:40Speaker 3: your first book? And how did he get you to Oh.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Goodness, that's a loaded question. Well, I've always written a lot,
- 3:55Speaker 4: and I had always posted some of my poetry on Facebook,
- 4:01Speaker 4: and it was always well, you need to write a book.
- 4:03Speaker 4: You need to write a book. You wrote your book,
- 4:06Speaker 4: and once you did your first one, you came to
- 4:09Speaker 4: me and said, okay, now you have absolutely no excuses,
- 4:13Speaker 4: so you need to do this. So after together first
- 4:20Speaker 4: go round, I got really frustrated and I was like,
- 4:24Speaker 4: you know what, this isn't gonna happen. I'm irritated. I'm frustrated.
- 4:27Speaker 4: I through the laptop and was like, you know what,
- 4:30Speaker 4: if it's meant to be, it will be. My daughter
- 4:33Speaker 4: ended up had to happen. Wisdom teeth taken, and my
- 4:37Speaker 4: boys sent me to my room and told me I
- 4:39Speaker 4: wasn't allowed to come out, and I was like, what
- 4:42Speaker 4: am I supposed to do while I'm in here? And
- 4:44Speaker 4: they were like, well, you'll figure it out. So I
- 4:47Speaker 4: was like, God, if this is meant to be, it
- 4:48Speaker 4: shall be. So I'm gonna put twenty six of my
- 4:50Speaker 4: favorite poems together in a book and see what happens.
- 4:54Speaker 4: And so basically that's what I did. And once I
- 4:58Speaker 4: did that, it was like, Okay, I had no idea
- 5:01Speaker 4: how to format, how to create a cover or any
- 5:05Speaker 4: of that kind of stuff. I was just like, I'm
- 5:08Speaker 4: gonna learn how to do it. So first one wasn't great.
- 5:11Speaker 4: I just put it together. I was like, if it's
- 5:13Speaker 4: meant to be, it shall be. So did that and everything.
- 5:22Speaker 2: I think I lost her for a second since she's
- 5:24Speaker 2: off line, she's driving.
- 5:28Speaker 3: I do know that.
- 5:31Speaker 4: But while we get into that whoa one, it was like, Okay,
- 5:37Speaker 4: I really got this down packed a little bit more so.
- 5:40Speaker 4: I saw the personal growth within myself, and so a
- 5:45Speaker 4: friend of mine that I was talking to was basically like, Okay,
- 5:50Speaker 4: we're gonna start publishing company and I was like, well,
- 5:53Speaker 4: that's about five years down down the line for me,
- 5:57Speaker 4: not anything that I feel like I need to be
- 5:59Speaker 4: more right now. However, they were like, well, do the research,
- 6:04Speaker 4: come back to me and then we'll see what happened.
- 6:08Speaker 4: And so they were insisted of company setting it up
- 6:11Speaker 4: and doing everything to start the company. And that's how
- 6:15Speaker 4: I got started, just wanting to be able to teach
- 6:19Speaker 4: other people and if they don't want to do it,
- 6:22Speaker 4: then they got me to help them become published.
- 6:26Speaker 3: So what was the motivation behind you actually going from
- 6:32Speaker 3: just sharing your poetry in your words to actually taking
- 6:38Speaker 3: on clients and helping them fulfill their becoming off What
- 6:45Speaker 3: was it? What was it the complications of trying to
- 6:49Speaker 3: figure it out on your own.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Well, well, I want to say it was partly because
- 6:57Speaker 4: I didn't know who to ask or any thing like that.
- 7:01Speaker 4: So without me knowing who has and me doing the
- 7:05Speaker 4: research for myself, it was just something that I wanted
- 7:09Speaker 4: to share with someone else. It's basically any knowledge that
- 7:11Speaker 4: I get or gain from first time experience, I don't
- 7:16Speaker 4: want to keep it to myself. So I'm willing and
- 7:19Speaker 4: always wanting to share it with other people because I
- 7:23Speaker 4: know there's a lot of people out here that want
- 7:25Speaker 4: to write a book but don't know where to start.
- 7:28Speaker 4: And the overwhelming thing is the question is always I
- 7:32Speaker 4: don't know where to start, but they it's a simple
- 7:36Speaker 4: process because if you don't know what, the first thing
- 7:40Speaker 4: you got to start doing is writing. And most people
- 7:43Speaker 4: think that that's still too complicated. But once you actually
- 7:48Speaker 4: set aside the time to actually start putting your thoughts
- 7:51Speaker 4: on paper, don't worry about trying to edit or doing
- 7:55Speaker 4: all that kind of stuff. Over time, you'll get better
- 7:58Speaker 4: at doing that, but you got to get those thoughts
- 8:00Speaker 4: on paper first. And I just wanted people to understand
- 8:04Speaker 4: that it's not an overwhelming process, as much as it
- 8:07Speaker 4: may seem. Some people do make it complicated, and some
- 8:10Speaker 4: people really be wanting, you know, thousands of dollars to
- 8:14Speaker 4: help people learn the same information that's out there for free.
- 8:19Speaker 4: And I'm not one for, you know, trying to I
- 8:23Speaker 4: didn't get into this business to make a lot of money.
- 8:26Speaker 4: I got into it because I want people to understand
- 8:29Speaker 4: that it is affordable if they want to do it.
- 8:32Speaker 4: And whatever they learn from me, please share it with
- 8:35Speaker 4: somebody else. Don't go to your grade holding on of
- 8:39Speaker 4: this stuff.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Right right, Well, I really like to say that you
- 8:44Speaker 2: are phenomenal at what you do.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 8:49Speaker 3: You know, we both started from the bottom as far
- 8:51Speaker 3: as like wanting to well, I don't even know if
- 8:55Speaker 3: you wanted.
- 8:55Speaker 2: To share yourself. I just know that I came to
- 8:59Speaker 2: your house and was like, look, you're right too good.
- 9:02Speaker 2: You know your poetry is it needs to be heard
- 9:06Speaker 2: or whatever.
- 9:08Speaker 3: And you know just too because you know me and
- 9:11Speaker 3: you we we we go back to twelve years old
- 9:14Speaker 3: and we we always bounce off of each other for
- 9:18Speaker 3: the most part, and you know, sometimes we both get
- 9:22Speaker 3: in a place where like, yeah, I'm not doing it,
- 9:25Speaker 3: but I'm so happy that you took what I was
- 9:30Speaker 3: offering to you.
- 9:31Speaker 4: And when like you.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Crawl so you could walk, and he took out running
- 9:39Speaker 3: and you haven't stopped yet, and I love that for you.
- 9:43Speaker 3: What has been the easiest part of having your own
- 9:48Speaker 3: publishing company.
- 9:53Speaker 4: I want to say the easiest part for me is
- 9:56Speaker 4: actually the editing process. As hard as most people may
- 10:00Speaker 4: think that is, it's really the easiest part for me.
- 10:05Speaker 4: And I think it's more so because I love English
- 10:09Speaker 4: and I love to write, so it makes it easier
- 10:12Speaker 4: for me. So it's one of those things that once
- 10:16Speaker 4: you get me and I'm like, okay, I'm already checking
- 10:20Speaker 4: for sentence structure and all of that stuff, and making
- 10:23Speaker 4: sure things flow together the way that they should. So
- 10:26Speaker 4: that's really the easiest part, even though I know some
- 10:30Speaker 4: editors out there are going to be like, yeah, that
- 10:32Speaker 4: ain't the easy part, but for me, it is, and
- 10:35Speaker 4: I love doing that part.
- 10:38Speaker 2: What's the hardest part for you?
- 10:41Speaker 4: Oh my god. The hardest part, I want to say,
- 10:44Speaker 4: sometimes can be the cover designs and the outlines of
- 10:50Speaker 4: certain Sometimes those covers and the intricate designs and things
- 10:55Speaker 4: of that nature. Sometimes it makes it a little difficult
- 10:58Speaker 4: and frustrating. But as you I'm one of those people.
- 11:03Speaker 4: I might get a little annoyed, but I ain't gonna
- 11:06Speaker 4: quit and I'm gonna figure it out until I get
- 11:09Speaker 4: it right.
- 11:11Speaker 3: This last joint venture that we had, the back and
- 11:16Speaker 3: forth with the cover, yes, like I think everybody wanted
- 11:20Speaker 3: to just get on a band and come to your
- 11:22Speaker 3: house and help you toss your laptop across the room
- 11:25Speaker 3: because listen, like.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Liz, everybody was so frustrated, and I think everybody was
- 11:38Speaker 4: a little apprehensive and anxious, and you know, even though
- 11:44Speaker 4: we had to make a couple of changes and everything,
- 11:47Speaker 4: and it was frustrating me to the point where I
- 11:51Speaker 4: did everything to the specifications that were required and then
- 11:54Speaker 4: it would still come back with not being a proved
- 11:59Speaker 4: And it's like, Okay, why is it not being approved
- 12:02Speaker 4: because I've done it to the specifications that they're asking
- 12:06Speaker 4: for the tram size and everything, and it's still not taking.
- 12:11Speaker 4: So I went and I printed it out, and I
- 12:15Speaker 4: was like, okay, if I can print this, there's absolutely
- 12:18Speaker 4: no bleed over, there's no anything that's out of place,
- 12:22Speaker 4: out of everything centered the way that it's supposed to be.
- 12:25Speaker 4: So I am really unsure of what to do. But
- 12:30Speaker 4: I figured it out, got it done, and I'm I'm
- 12:35Speaker 4: waiting for it. Me too, Me too.
- 12:39Speaker 2: It has been a.
- 12:42Speaker 3: An experience, to say the least, because I've never seen
- 12:45Speaker 3: anything like that happened as far as like the cover goes,
- 12:50Speaker 3: because that was wild to me.
- 12:52Speaker 4: And you, yeah, going.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Checking emails every day because you know I don't check
- 12:57Speaker 3: my email, so right for you to text me go
- 13:00Speaker 3: look at your emails? He would say, like, you know it.
- 13:07Speaker 3: It was a humbling experience for one thing, and it
- 13:10Speaker 3: just like it makes me think of how we always
- 13:17Speaker 3: say he may not come wanting, but he always on time, right,
- 13:22Speaker 3: because everybody actually went through on the day that we
- 13:28Speaker 3: had set out to go through on, which I guess
- 13:34Speaker 3: nobody really thought it was gonna happen that.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Way in the beginning, couple it not being the way
- 13:41Speaker 2: that you know you wanted it to be.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Right, and the crazy part about that, like when we
- 13:49Speaker 4: went through the whole little upload together, the steps of everything,
- 13:54Speaker 4: you saw everything that I had put in, and it
- 13:56Speaker 4: had nothing, had nothing to indicate that there was an
- 14:00Speaker 4: issue with the cover, no indication whatsoever. And that was
- 14:03Speaker 4: the crazy part about the whole situation is because you
- 14:07Speaker 4: see everything that's going through and there is nothing that
- 14:11Speaker 4: is going to give a red flast to say that
- 14:14Speaker 4: it's not going to work, but nea would today. God
- 14:21Speaker 4: works how he works, and I always depend on him
- 14:25Speaker 4: to make sure that what I'm doing is what I'm
- 14:28Speaker 4: supposed to be doing. And I think that's another reason
- 14:30Speaker 4: why I wasn't too irritated at the fact that it
- 14:35Speaker 4: wasn't doing. I was more annoyed at anything, but I
- 14:39Speaker 4: knew it was going to work itself out, and I
- 14:43Speaker 4: think everybody was like, I don't want to get on
- 14:45Speaker 4: your nerves. I don't want to buy the childe, call me,
- 14:49Speaker 4: text me, do whatever you need to do. So if
- 14:52Speaker 4: you understand that it's I'm working and it is not
- 14:55Speaker 4: a problem because you are going to be happy at
- 15:00Speaker 4: the end of results, follow me.
- 15:04Speaker 2: With this one. I know that you deal with kia malformation.
- 15:10Speaker 4: Huh.
- 15:12Speaker 3: So my question to you is how do you work
- 15:17Speaker 3: through having your own business, working an the FOB.
- 15:21Speaker 2: And then feel feeling your health?
- 15:27Speaker 4: Uh? I give that all to God, you know, because
- 15:34Speaker 4: He provides all the things that I need to get
- 15:37Speaker 4: through everything that I go through. Like last week, it
- 15:40Speaker 4: was really difficult, and last night, even though I had
- 15:43Speaker 4: my own podcast, I literally was in bed all day.
- 15:47Speaker 4: And then after I finished my podcast, I got very
- 15:50Speaker 4: very dizzy and my son had to help me to
- 15:53Speaker 4: my room because I got really I don't know what
- 15:58Speaker 4: it was, but I got really like edit and dizzy,
- 16:01Speaker 4: and he had to help me to my room. But
- 16:05Speaker 4: even in the midst of days like that and having
- 16:10Speaker 4: the really bad headaches of being in just pain, I
- 16:14Speaker 4: muster through because I got things I gotta take care
- 16:17Speaker 4: of and as long as I keep God in the forefront,
- 16:20Speaker 4: He's gonna make sure that I'm able to achieve what
- 16:22Speaker 4: it is that I set out to do. So that's
- 16:27Speaker 4: how I'm able to do all that I do and
- 16:32Speaker 4: not just about it too much. Like I might complain
- 16:36Speaker 4: here and there because I'm in pain. I might get
- 16:38Speaker 4: a little irritable because I'm in pain. But I hope
- 16:42Speaker 4: people don't take that personally, because when you're in pain
- 16:46Speaker 4: or irritable, you know. I've been dealing with issues today
- 16:54Speaker 4: while being at work and working a twelve hour shift,
- 16:57Speaker 4: but I pulled through it. I'm not complaining about it.
- 17:01Speaker 4: I was a little irritated with my boss, but outside
- 17:07Speaker 4: of that, I still did what was necessary. Paytief's got
- 17:10Speaker 4: taken care of and that's the main thing. It is
- 17:15Speaker 4: a right, please go. I'm sorry, I'm driving, and she.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Has a road rade, y'all.
- 17:26Speaker 4: The start literally just stopped at a green light light,
- 17:31Speaker 4: literally in the middle of the street. The light is green.
- 17:34Speaker 4: There's absolutely no reason for them to stop. Nothing was
- 17:37Speaker 4: coming across the street, the wind's not blowing too hard.
- 17:40Speaker 4: I have no clue why they decided just to stop
- 17:43Speaker 4: at the green light.
- 17:46Speaker 3: It's people reliving Hurricane Helene. You know when the lights
- 17:52Speaker 3: was out of because we know what to do, you know.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Yeah, nobody wanted.
- 17:58Speaker 2: To treat it like a four way stop, right.
- 18:03Speaker 4: I can see that. However, there was no cars in
- 18:06Speaker 4: the cross direction either, So I just don't know. I
- 18:11Speaker 4: just don't think they were prepared to go, So I.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Just can't give them the benefit of that home now, not.
- 18:19Speaker 4: In this situation.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Now, I wanted you to explain.
- 18:25Speaker 3: What is because they have viewers who've never heard of
- 18:30Speaker 3: it or have never heard your story.
- 18:34Speaker 2: I would just like to go back to that.
- 18:39Speaker 4: Okay, well, K, My information is a serious neurological condition,
- 18:43Speaker 4: and it's basically I'm gonna try to put it in
- 18:46Speaker 4: in uh Layman's terms. It's basically where the base of
- 18:50Speaker 4: the skull protrudes through the base the bottom of the skull,
- 18:54Speaker 4: where the skull is supposed to be completely closed, where
- 18:57Speaker 4: there is no opening at the bottom, where this spinal
- 19:01Speaker 4: cord meets the top of the brain. So in my case,
- 19:05Speaker 4: there's an opening and the base of my brain comes
- 19:09Speaker 4: through that little hole, and it causes excruciating headaches, It
- 19:14Speaker 4: causes balance issues, memory problems, hoarseness in the voice, it
- 19:20Speaker 4: causes heart palputations. It's basically the main function of the
- 19:25Speaker 4: brain where the cerebellum is. This is the main function
- 19:28Speaker 4: of the brain, and so anything that creates pressure right
- 19:32Speaker 4: there is where both of my issues come from, because
- 19:37Speaker 4: it also regulates the body temperature and things of that
- 19:43Speaker 4: nature as well. So it's like when you have a
- 19:49Speaker 4: brand new car, car is running very very well, and
- 19:53Speaker 4: then suddenly your transmission blows in your car. Well, there's
- 19:58Speaker 4: a deconversion brain surgery that is offered. However, it's like
- 20:02Speaker 4: if you replace the transmission in your car, your car
- 20:05Speaker 4: doesn't run the same anymore. It doesn't matter that the
- 20:07Speaker 4: transmission has been rebuilt. It's a branding. Transmission doesn't matter.
- 20:11Speaker 4: It's basically like traumatic brain injury. However, it is a
- 20:16Speaker 4: condition that you were born with, and it's not a
- 20:18Speaker 4: condition that you can contract or that you can pick
- 20:24Speaker 4: up later in life. However, some people, when they are
- 20:29Speaker 4: born with it, they don't really have any symptoms or
- 20:33Speaker 4: anything until later in life. Me, however, I've had the
- 20:38Speaker 4: symptoms all my life. But it was a problem. It
- 20:43Speaker 4: was a problem being properly diagnosed. I was misdiagnosed for
- 20:48Speaker 4: years with just having migrains, and migrains were not the cause.
- 20:54Speaker 4: I used to have nose bleeds, not only just the
- 20:59Speaker 4: nose bleed, but I would have temperature issues where I
- 21:03Speaker 4: was constantly hard or cold. I would have heart palputations,
- 21:06Speaker 4: my voice would go hoarse, and people would think that
- 21:10Speaker 4: I would be sick or whatever. But I didn't find
- 21:13Speaker 4: this out until I started experiencing this in the late
- 21:18Speaker 4: teens after I had my daughter, So I was roughly
- 21:21Speaker 4: around nineteen where the numbness in my hands and my feet,
- 21:26Speaker 4: and it would only be one foot or on one hand,
- 21:32Speaker 4: and it was never both at the same time. So
- 21:35Speaker 4: it was always confusing because it would go from the
- 21:38Speaker 4: right foot to the left foot, to the right hand
- 21:41Speaker 4: to the left hand, and it was just like okay.
- 21:44Speaker 4: Then I would get these headaches in the back of
- 21:46Speaker 4: my head that would be so bad that nothing that
- 21:52Speaker 4: I could take, nothing that I could do to ease it.
- 21:56Speaker 4: And it's not like a typical migraine because of my
- 22:00Speaker 4: basically just on one side, and mine would be at
- 22:04Speaker 4: the back of the brain, back of my skull, and
- 22:07Speaker 4: it would have like a burning sensation as well, And
- 22:13Speaker 4: so couple that headache with a migraine headache, it is excruciating.
- 22:20Speaker 4: So I know the difference between just a regular migraine
- 22:23Speaker 4: and a kri headache, and when I have both and
- 22:27Speaker 4: a migraine headache, I can't function like I want to function,
- 22:32Speaker 4: but I will push through even though it is very difficult.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I've witnessed what you're push through. Looks like I've
- 22:44Speaker 3: seen you push through on some times where my silk,
- 22:49Speaker 3: your kids and some other people have told you to
- 22:53Speaker 3: get somewhere and sit down, but you don't and you
- 22:56Speaker 3: keep going.
- 22:57Speaker 2: And that's like one of the things that I admire
- 23:02Speaker 2: most about you is how you you.
- 23:06Speaker 3: Keep going and you press through, and even when it
- 23:10Speaker 3: looks like it's never gonna get better, you still hey girl, hey,
- 23:19Speaker 3: but yeah, like you, you pushed through And for.
- 23:24Speaker 2: That, you know, I'm proud of because you know how
- 23:27Speaker 2: I rare you.
- 23:28Speaker 4: You know what I don't.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Yes, and better, I'm.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Getting better because today I'm not one hundred per find
- 23:38Speaker 3: a bit of the It has reared its ugly headed
- 23:41Speaker 3: today and so but you gotta still good and I'm
- 23:45Speaker 3: able to do what I need to do with no excuses.
- 23:50Speaker 3: What I want to ask you now is what would
- 23:53Speaker 3: you tell somebody that wants to work a regular eight
- 24:01Speaker 3: twelve hours start their own business no matter what it is,
- 24:06Speaker 3: and still deal with a health issue.
- 24:08Speaker 2: What advice would you give that person?
- 24:13Speaker 4: The advice that I would give to them is you
- 24:16Speaker 4: gotta have the mindset and the determination to actually go
- 24:20Speaker 4: after what it is that you want, So first and foremost,
- 24:24Speaker 4: that's the number one thing. You gotta be determined. If
- 24:29Speaker 4: you set a goal for yourself, if you want to
- 24:30Speaker 4: see yourself in a successful position, you have to have
- 24:34Speaker 4: the mindset to understand that there's gonna be more hard
- 24:37Speaker 4: days than it's gonna be easy days, especially when you're building,
- 24:41Speaker 4: because it's a hard thing to do. So go to God,
- 24:47Speaker 4: make sure that you have him included in the plan,
- 24:50Speaker 4: and ask him to provide everything that it is that
- 24:52Speaker 4: you're going to go through, because you're going to go
- 24:55Speaker 4: through some hard times and you're going to go through
- 24:57Speaker 4: days where it's just like, look, Lord, I don't know
- 25:00Speaker 4: if this is really for me, But if you really
- 25:03Speaker 4: want it, God will provide everything that you need. So
- 25:08Speaker 4: write out the plan and write it out so that
- 25:11Speaker 4: you can see it. Once you see it, then start
- 25:13Speaker 4: taking the steps to actually make it happen.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Hmmm, where would you like to see your business go
- 25:23Speaker 2: from here? Like you hit the ground running and like.
- 25:29Speaker 3: It's been amazing just watching, you know, being on the sidelines,
- 25:34Speaker 3: watching people come to you, you know, with different kind
- 25:37Speaker 3: of projects and things that you know that they come
- 25:40Speaker 3: up with and you put your magic to it, and
- 25:43Speaker 3: then it's just like here you go.
- 25:46Speaker 2: So what's next.
- 25:52Speaker 4: I honestly don't know what's next. I just hope that
- 25:59Speaker 4: I'm being a obedient to what God is telling me
- 26:01Speaker 4: to do because the vision that he showed me earlier
- 26:06Speaker 4: this year, and I'm just hoping I'm putting the steps
- 26:11Speaker 4: together to actually make it happen. And basically it is
- 26:19Speaker 4: a building because I want people to be able to
- 26:22Speaker 4: come to a building, to be able to actually visit
- 26:26Speaker 4: with other authors. Also I had in this vision that
- 26:30Speaker 4: he gave me is that in the front of this
- 26:33Speaker 4: building is basically where people come in. They sign in,
- 26:38Speaker 4: and there's a little coffee sitting area where they can
- 26:43Speaker 4: make themselves a glass of tea or some coffee. And
- 26:48Speaker 4: then in the back it's basically where they can sit
- 26:51Speaker 4: at the laptops and actually start to write their books
- 26:55Speaker 4: and learn how to format and do that editing and
- 27:00Speaker 4: all of that. So it's basically like a one stop
- 27:04Speaker 4: shop where they can actually come in and get hands
- 27:07Speaker 4: on instructions on how to write their book, how to
- 27:12Speaker 4: put it together, how to set up different types of workshops,
- 27:17Speaker 4: how to you know, just do it themselves, and me
- 27:22Speaker 4: being able to teach them what I know from the
- 27:26Speaker 4: steps that I've taken to get where I am right now.
- 27:29Speaker 4: So that's the vision that he showed me. So I'm
- 27:31Speaker 4: just hoping that I'm on the right path to actually
- 27:34Speaker 4: making it a reality.
- 27:37Speaker 3: It's gonna happen, because that's so it's gonna happen. You're
- 27:43Speaker 3: also a podcast host. Yes, what is the name of
- 27:47Speaker 3: your podcast and what is your platform?
- 27:52Speaker 4: My podcast is becalled is Believe in the Journey. And
- 27:57Speaker 4: the reason I titled that Believing the Journey is because
- 28:02Speaker 4: we all go through different stages in our lives and
- 28:05Speaker 4: it's a journey that we're on. Life is a journey.
- 28:08Speaker 4: It's filled with ups and downs, highs and lows, ins
- 28:12Speaker 4: and outs. People come, people go, and everything that you
- 28:17Speaker 4: have gone through in this life is part of who
- 28:20Speaker 4: God has created you to be. And sometimes we get
- 28:23Speaker 4: so lost and hung up on the bad things in
- 28:26Speaker 4: life that we stay there and we don't understand that
- 28:30Speaker 4: just because it's darkness right now, that there won't be
- 28:34Speaker 4: sunshine tomorrow. You know, we've been may endure for the night,
- 28:38Speaker 4: but the sunshine comes in the morning. So you gotta
- 28:41Speaker 4: be willing to go through some of those hard times
- 28:44Speaker 4: to receive the best times of your life. And I
- 28:48Speaker 4: don't want people to think that, Okay, I'm down and
- 28:52Speaker 4: out now and I can't get to the other side.
- 28:56Speaker 4: But I've been praying and asking God to get me
- 28:59Speaker 4: to the other side. But are you actually taking the
- 29:02Speaker 4: steps to being obedient to what God is telling you
- 29:05Speaker 4: to do? So my platform is based on the journey
- 29:09Speaker 4: of life and understanding that we've all been designed for
- 29:13Speaker 4: a purpose here and once you start going through the
- 29:16Speaker 4: purpose and putting the pieces together, because every piece in
- 29:20Speaker 4: every situation, every chapter in your life is a puzzle
- 29:24Speaker 4: piece of who you have been created to be in
- 29:26Speaker 4: your purpose for God. And so when you start to
- 29:30Speaker 4: walk in that purpose, you start to understand that nothing
- 29:33Speaker 4: you went through was for nothing. Basically it had a purpose.
- 29:40Speaker 4: And so that's basically what my platform with believing the
- 29:43Speaker 4: journey is about.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Where would you like to see your your podcast go
- 29:50Speaker 3: to in the future. What would you like to see
- 29:53Speaker 3: happen with you?
- 29:57Speaker 4: I don't I really don't know what I would like
- 30:00Speaker 4: to see it go to. I just want to be
- 30:03Speaker 4: able to make sure that God gets the credit for
- 30:09Speaker 4: bringing the people to me, and I'm able to provide
- 30:12Speaker 4: them what they need when they come on the show.
- 30:17Speaker 4: I can say that I want people to feel at
- 30:22Speaker 4: home when they're guests on my show. I want them
- 30:26Speaker 4: to be comfortable. I don't ever want them to feel
- 30:29Speaker 4: as if they're being interviewed because I don't really do interviews.
- 30:37Speaker 4: I have conversations, and I let God lead the conversations.
- 30:42Speaker 4: So I'm just hoping that maybe one day it can
- 30:49Speaker 4: be a syndicated podcast.
- 30:51Speaker 3: Maybe I think that we're rocking with the right person,
- 30:56Speaker 3: because Angela's vision for us has always been a phenomenal one.
- 31:03Speaker 3: You know, even when people start to fall off, and
- 31:06Speaker 3: you know, there's there's times when we do shows and
- 31:10Speaker 3: our guests don't show up, and you know, there's been
- 31:13Speaker 3: times where hosts couldn't show up, and you know, it
- 31:17Speaker 3: still gets carried through to get to point hey to
- 31:22Speaker 3: point B. And I just feel like it's going to
- 31:25Speaker 3: be so much.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Greater than what it is right now. Like I am
- 31:30Speaker 2: enjoying this new platform. I like the whole the whole
- 31:33Speaker 2: setup about it. It's just yeah, it's different. But Trevida,
- 31:39Speaker 2: I'm not gonna keep you because I know you're ready
- 31:41Speaker 2: to get out of out of the car and go
- 31:43Speaker 2: in the house.
- 31:46Speaker 4: Oh well, I'm not even at home yet. I'm waiting
- 31:48Speaker 4: on Nate to get off work, so my day is
- 31:51Speaker 4: not over yet. Got you, I got It's not over yet.
- 31:58Speaker 2: So do you see yourself hosting like a.
- 32:05Speaker 3: What's the word I'm looking for, like a forum or
- 32:09Speaker 3: something to where you can bring people together to teach
- 32:13Speaker 3: them how to write right in a way that it
- 32:19Speaker 3: makes sense, but still tell their story without taking away
- 32:25Speaker 3: their actual words.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Because a lot of times, you know, when you deal
- 32:28Speaker 2: with certain you know.
- 32:30Speaker 3: People that go in and reward your story and you know, obey,
- 32:37Speaker 3: make those big words that you wouldn't normally use or whatever.
- 32:42Speaker 4: Correct.
- 32:43Speaker 2: You know, where where is your vision with that?
- 32:49Speaker 4: I want to start hosting workshops first to be able
- 32:55Speaker 4: to allow people to come in and see what that
- 32:57Speaker 4: process is like from some one who's gone through it
- 33:01Speaker 4: from the beginning, because it's really easy to submit yourself
- 33:06Speaker 4: to an editor and a publisher, but to actually see
- 33:11Speaker 4: somebody that has gone through the step by step process themselves.
- 33:16Speaker 4: It makes it a little bit more humbling when you
- 33:19Speaker 4: have that person who's willing to teach you step by
- 33:22Speaker 4: step and you can see them and you can see
- 33:25Speaker 4: the progress. That's one of the things that I'm grateful
- 33:28Speaker 4: for myself, because you know, when I did my first book,
- 33:32Speaker 4: like I said, it did not look perfect. It looked
- 33:34Speaker 4: like a little kid had done it. But and not
- 33:40Speaker 4: in the sense of the core to itself, but the
- 33:45Speaker 4: formatting and the fonts and things like that that were
- 33:49Speaker 4: in the book. It did not have a sense of
- 33:53Speaker 4: unity togetherness when I put it together. But the greatness
- 33:58Speaker 4: that I saw within that was I was able to
- 34:01Speaker 4: see my growth. I was able to see how the
- 34:06Speaker 4: process worked. I was also able to understand that it
- 34:11Speaker 4: wasn't designed for perfection. It was designed for me to
- 34:15Speaker 4: be able to learn. Because not only do I have
- 34:19Speaker 4: this condition KII my information. I also had a stroke
- 34:23Speaker 4: and so my brain has been affected in multiple ways
- 34:27Speaker 4: and so I have to keep my mind active, so
- 34:31Speaker 4: being able to see the growth move from one spot
- 34:36Speaker 4: to the next, to be able to see that. I
- 34:39Speaker 4: want people to be able to come to me and
- 34:42Speaker 4: I show them where I started. It's a physical representation
- 34:47Speaker 4: of this is what I started with because most of
- 34:50Speaker 4: the time, when you have a person that's teaching these things,
- 34:55Speaker 4: they've gone to someone else and they don't see the
- 34:58Speaker 4: rough version. All they see is the finished product. Well,
- 35:03Speaker 4: I have a finished product, but it's not perfect, and
- 35:06Speaker 4: I want you to see the process of me going
- 35:09Speaker 4: through and learning step by step, and so I'm grateful
- 35:14Speaker 4: for that, and that's what I want to be able
- 35:16Speaker 4: to show people, because when people can see the blueprints
- 35:23Speaker 4: and the blueprint didn't look like the finished product, I
- 35:26Speaker 4: think it resonates more with people in that sense, versus
- 35:30Speaker 4: people coming in on the outside and they see the
- 35:34Speaker 4: finished product, and yeah, they want the finished product, but
- 35:37Speaker 4: some people are actually interested in how it was made,
- 35:41Speaker 4: how it got there, And that's what I want to
- 35:44Speaker 4: be able to show people.
- 35:46Speaker 2: So are you working on anything special right now?
- 35:51Speaker 4: I am. I'm working on the book for my mom
- 35:56Speaker 4: and it's called from Fact Fractured to Fulfilled, the healing
- 36:02Speaker 4: of the relationship between myself and my mom before she
- 36:06Speaker 4: transitioned over and the conversations that we had and it
- 36:13Speaker 4: brought it's bringing closure and I will tell you that
- 36:16Speaker 4: it writing this one is taking me back to my
- 36:21Speaker 4: childhood in ways that I had not brought out in
- 36:27Speaker 4: Overcoming Childhood Trauma because now I'm simply focusing on the
- 36:32Speaker 4: relationship with my mom. Wherein Overcoming Childhood Trauma my Journey
- 36:37Speaker 4: to healing that book, I talked about the relationship with
- 36:41Speaker 4: both of my parents, Okay, and so not just my parents,
- 36:46Speaker 4: it's just the relationship that I had with family, the
- 36:50Speaker 4: relationship that I had with my ex husband, and how
- 36:55Speaker 4: all of those things that I went through, how it
- 37:00Speaker 4: it led me to raising my children in certain ways
- 37:04Speaker 4: and being more open and honest with my kids and
- 37:07Speaker 4: not having that what happens in this house stays in
- 37:10Speaker 4: this house mentality. If I said something to you, let
- 37:14Speaker 4: me know if I hurt your feelings, because I can't
- 37:16Speaker 4: fix it if I don't know anything about it. So
- 37:19Speaker 4: I made sure that I had an open door policy
- 37:23Speaker 4: with my kids. But one thing while writing that book,
- 37:29Speaker 4: I did not know how much my children had never
- 37:33Speaker 4: seen me in a vulnerable state. My kids feel like
- 37:37Speaker 4: I'm superwoman, and I had to I had to apologize
- 37:43Speaker 4: to them for them not seeing me. My kids didn't
- 37:47Speaker 4: see me cry unless I was in excruciating pain. They
- 37:50Speaker 4: never saw the softer side of me. And so that's
- 37:57Speaker 4: what this latest book is going to be about. And
- 38:00Speaker 4: my youngest son had to tell me when I was
- 38:03Speaker 4: dealing with my mom and you know, going to the
- 38:06Speaker 4: facility to check on her every day after work, after
- 38:09Speaker 4: working my hours and everything, I would go and sit
- 38:14Speaker 4: with her. And I came home one day and I
- 38:19Speaker 4: said in my recliner and my son was like, let
- 38:22Speaker 4: it out. And I was like, I don't really know
- 38:25Speaker 4: how to let it out, you know, And he was like,
- 38:31Speaker 4: you can't be strong all the time, and it's okay
- 38:35Speaker 4: for you to cry. It's okay for you to feel
- 38:37Speaker 4: the emotions that you're feeling. And from that moment on,
- 38:42Speaker 4: I've been able to understand that it's okay for me
- 38:46Speaker 4: to feel what I feel, and I've given myself permission
- 38:49Speaker 4: to actually feel whatever it is that I'm feeling in
- 38:52Speaker 4: that moment, especially if it's a moment where it comes
- 38:55Speaker 4: up and I'm missing my mom, missing her silliness, her
- 38:58Speaker 4: goofiness or whatever. I give myself permission to be in
- 39:02Speaker 4: that moment, no matter where I am. And this book
- 39:07Speaker 4: right here that I'm working on for her is definitely
- 39:13Speaker 4: that's I will say. But it's for her and that's so.
- 39:22Speaker 2: There's nothing like that, like the way the way you
- 39:27Speaker 2: me out and she looking at me like why do
- 39:30Speaker 2: you put up with that?
- 39:32Speaker 4: Yeah, and she told me she took about I couldn't
- 39:35Speaker 4: be your friend. Okay, that's fine, You're not my friend.
- 39:38Speaker 4: You my mama, So you do that mm hmm. But yes,
- 39:46Speaker 4: she told me, but that she told me I was
- 39:49Speaker 4: her best friend. So and I really and truly believe
- 39:54Speaker 4: that because no matter how much my mama got on
- 39:58Speaker 4: my nerves and we are or whatever, anytime that lady
- 40:03Speaker 4: called me and I could be there, I was there,
- 40:05Speaker 4: you know, even though there were days when I was
- 40:09Speaker 4: adamant and saying I ain't doing it. I don't care,
- 40:11Speaker 4: somebody else got to pick up the slack. I'm just
- 40:13Speaker 4: not doing it. I'm not going. But the way she
- 40:18Speaker 4: raised me, and what the heart that her and God
- 40:21Speaker 4: gave me, I couldn't do it. So I sucked it up.
- 40:25Speaker 4: I complained, but I still did it.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Because I remember, like the last.
- 40:35Speaker 3: Couple of weeks before she passed, you was like, you know,
- 40:39Speaker 3: I'm doing this by myself, and I told you, you know,
- 40:44Speaker 3: this is your time with your mom. God designed that
- 40:47Speaker 3: moment for you to be able to receive whatever it
- 40:52Speaker 3: is that she needed to give you, and for you
- 40:54Speaker 3: to give her whatever it was that you felt like
- 40:57Speaker 3: you needed to give her. And you know, I appreciate
- 41:00Speaker 3: you actually.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Sharing your mom with me, because you know we don't
- 41:04Speaker 2: we don't have been on some benches behind.
- 41:12Speaker 4: The most definite.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Any other way.
- 41:18Speaker 3: I wouldn't have had it any other way, even like
- 41:21Speaker 3: when you picked me up for the baby shower and
- 41:25Speaker 3: I heard her, but I didn't see her, and I
- 41:27Speaker 3: was like, I know you ain't in that car talking
- 41:29Speaker 3: to herself.
- 41:30Speaker 2: It's like who she And so, you know, just being
- 41:34Speaker 2: able to be around your family and see the love
- 41:37Speaker 2: that your.
- 41:38Speaker 3: Children shower you with and those beautiful grand babies, it's something.
- 41:45Speaker 2: It's something.
- 41:47Speaker 3: And I'm just waiting on uh Scott to have her
- 41:51Speaker 3: own podcast show because.
- 41:53Speaker 4: She read oh yeah, that is my littlecapacity.
- 42:01Speaker 2: You know.
- 42:02Speaker 4: I told her when she was probably about three, maybe
- 42:05Speaker 4: three to six months old. I can't necessarily remember, but
- 42:08Speaker 4: I told her, I said, you're gonna be my assistant
- 42:10Speaker 4: for my business. And when I tell her that, whenever
- 42:15Speaker 4: I get my laptop out or whatever, that's the first
- 42:18Speaker 4: thing that she goes She's like, okay, work tt work
- 42:22Speaker 4: tt And I'm like, okay, well you're gonna check the emails. Yes, yes,
- 42:28Speaker 4: I'm like, okay, well you check the emails and she'll
- 42:30Speaker 4: get her little pin and pad and so she sweats
- 42:33Speaker 4: she checking emails. You ought to see her little typing
- 42:36Speaker 4: fingers and I'm like, baby, you ain't on the right thing.
- 42:39Speaker 4: But it's okay, right, Yeah, anything that she sees me do,
- 42:46Speaker 4: she definitely is gonna try. I breik hair, so she
- 42:53Speaker 4: tries to do that. Whenever I'm doing her mama's hair
- 42:57Speaker 4: or my hair, she tries to help out with that.
- 42:59Speaker 4: And it's funny to try to see her little fingers
- 43:02Speaker 4: do that. But that's yeah.
- 43:10Speaker 3: So if someone wants to reach out to you to
- 43:14Speaker 3: have you as a guest on their podcast, or to.
- 43:19Speaker 2: Reach out to you for your publishing, for helpful that,
- 43:24Speaker 2: how do they reach you?
- 43:27Speaker 4: They can find me on Facebook Trevida Harris. You can

- 43:46Speaker 4: as well as Wings of trans twenty one on Instagram

- 44:07Speaker 4: eight six four three seven six ninety sixty one. I'm available.
- 44:13Speaker 4: You know, most of the time, I say text me first,
- 44:18Speaker 4: because I receive that a whole lot faster, and I
- 44:21Speaker 4: respond a whole lot faster. Because my emails trying to
- 44:25Speaker 4: get into each different ones, it takes a whole lot
- 44:27Speaker 4: more time. But always send a text or send me
- 44:32Speaker 4: a DM on Facebook or Instagram. I get those a
- 44:36Speaker 4: lot faster than I can get to the emails. But
- 44:39Speaker 4: I do check my emails every single day. I try
- 44:43Speaker 4: to check them first thing in the morning, mid afternoon,
- 44:45Speaker 4: and before I go to bed at night. So I'm
- 44:49Speaker 4: always working. I'm always doing something, and I don't want
- 44:52Speaker 4: anybody to ever feel like they're bothering me when it
- 44:55Speaker 4: comes to answering questions about publishing, because if I don't
- 44:59Speaker 4: have the answer, then and I will research and find
- 45:01Speaker 4: the answer that you are looking for. Also, you can
- 45:05Speaker 4: purchase my books directly from me, or you can purchase
- 45:08Speaker 4: them on Amazon. If you purchase them directly from me,
- 45:13Speaker 4: you can get a signed copy. Otherwise Amazon, you can
- 45:19Speaker 4: definitely get them from there. But there are three books there.
- 45:22Speaker 4: The first one is My Journey My Piece. That is
