Erm, Lord… How?

You are called. You are chosen.

Most of us hear that eventually. In a sermon, on a mug, in the quiet after an altar call. It lands somewhere true, and for a moment it feels like enough.

Then comes the rest of the verse. Go therefore.

And somewhere underneath the nodding and the amen, a smaller voice says what you were never quite brave enough to say out loud.

Erm. Lord. How?

Nobody tells you what to do with that question. Not really.

You get told to read your Bible more. Join a cell group. Serve on a team. Tithe faithfully. Witness to your friends. All reasonable, most of it…
