- 2:42We're joined by Father Carney
- 2:46Fresh from his trip to Quito Ecuador
- 2:50Doing wonderful things and I don't know a whole lot about it. So I'll just throw it to you to kind of kick it off
- 2:58Yeah, so
- 2:59the Royal Convent of the
- 3:02Conceptionist
- 3:03Was started in the late part of the 1500s and they are Franciscans. They wanted to be
- 3:10Carthusian women, but there was something in divine providence that made them Franciscan
- 3:16But they're unique because they stay within their convent through
- 3:21bars
- 3:23so
- 3:24Mother Mariana came over to the you to southern Africa from Spain
- 3:30with her aunt and about three or four other nuns
- 3:34who
- 3:36Wanted to start this Royal Convent in Quito Ecuador
- 3:41around
- 3:421575 is when that all happened and
- 3:46The women of Quito wanted to have the presence of some nuns so they petitioned
- 3:50I think it was keep King Philip the second and when he looked at that he approved it
- 3:55And that's why it's called a Royal Convent because a king in a Catholic country
- 4:00Endorsed it and
- 4:02So they came over. They were very holy women and the indigenous began to become part of this convent and
- 4:10Our Lady of Good Success
- 4:13began to appear to these nuns and
- 4:15warned them that
- 4:18in the middle of the 20th century the church is going to go through a great demise and
- 4:24There's so much into that and I'm not really skilled at it
- 4:29I've read the
- 4:32Admiral life of Mother Mariana
- 4:33It's an amazing story of how this nun who became the mother superior was pitting up with the non-observant group of nuns
- 4:41So there was within the convent
- 4:43there was a there was faction starting between the Spanish nuns who came to found and the indigenous and
- 4:50the nickname of the leader was called the captain and
- 4:53She was writing letters to the bishop lying about Mother Mariana
- 4:56but there Mother Mariana was having mystical experiences and Jesus told her are you willing to suffer for this captain and
- 5:04Jesus said are you willing to suffer the pains of hell for five years of your life on earth in order for her
- 5:09conversion and she had such fraternal charity that she said yes, and so this nun died and
- 5:18She was judged by Jesus and said you're gonna go to hell, but I'm gonna send you back
- 5:22Because your superior is suffering the pains of hell for you for five years and so this captain came back a converted nun and
- 5:32acknowledged the
- 5:33the the beauty of her life and
- 5:37There's so much that I'm just skimming the surface reading the story
- 5:40Keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's so amazing
- 5:43But so hold on a minute. I gotta finish one point and then keep that thought that I'll be done. So this captain
- 5:51She did die and
- 5:54Jesus told mother Mariana she is not going to hell
- 5:58But she'll be in purgatory until the end of time because she was such a bad girl. Anyways, go ahead
- 6:03So sister Mariana was tasked
- 6:08with
- 6:09having not hell-like
- 6:13Suffering but she died and went to hell for five years
- 6:17No mother Mariana on behalf of the captain suffered on earth the pains of hell on earth
- 6:26Yes, how is that possible? That's well in reality
- 6:32I'm gonna be very medieval here. They psychological pains are they physical emotional pains of hell include the loss of God
- 6:40Which is the worst and physical pains?
- 6:43How do you not go crazy she almost did but she had so much grace from God to maintain her and
- 6:49So the problem is when people go to hell they will go through this for eternity
- 6:55the loss of God and
- 6:57The pains of hell which that's why I walk the streets of Wichita is because I don't want anyone to go there
- 7:01I told Bishop Kimmy that once in his office and I was crying and
- 7:06He was very happy that a priest was doing that
- 7:11Yeah, it's been kind of consistent, you know, our lady of Fatima
- 7:14She showed the children visions of hell and I just did a small read on
- 7:20Our lady of good success and and it it told me that that she died from the effects of watching the visions eventually
- 7:27She died three times and she rose twice after her first two deaths and then she finally died the third time
- 7:36so
- 7:37Why were you there that they were to preach on the Holy Face for them or yes, let me make a point about
- 7:44Our lady good success in the statue and then I'll answer that question. So
- 7:50The nuns decided to build to make a statue of our lady of good success after these apparitions and
- 7:56So they have this artist do it and he didn't finish the top of it
- 8:00And he went away to get some paint and stuff and spent the night and he came back and he saw it was done
- 8:06and so what happened is
- 8:10three archangels finished this statue and our lady actually went into the statue and
- 8:15She said I will be the abbess of this community. So her statue is where the abbess's chair is in the upper
- 8:22Choir above the main part of the church. That's just amazing to me and it's true. And so I went there
- 8:29for the first time
- 8:31this January
- 8:33So it's
- 8:342026 right now and a young man who was about to join the Carmelites had been going there
- 8:44Several times a year for the course of one or two years and he he came to me with a wad of cash
- 8:49He said father. I'm gonna become a Carmelite
- 8:52I'm gonna be praying for you, but I want you to continue the relationship I had with the mother superior
- 8:57her name is mother Angelita and
- 9:00He was allowed to go and see
- 9:03mother Angelita and talk to her to help kind of be a spiritual leader for him to discern his life and
- 9:11I got to go in there the first time and I got to see mother Mariana. Her body's incorrupt
- 9:16I went into a chapel inside the comment called the chapel of Our Lady of Mount Carmel
- 9:21There were three or four incorrupts there and there's about three or four more other ones. I haven't seen yet
- 9:26So this common has almost ten incorrupt nuns
- 9:30who founded this wonderful community and
- 9:33Our Lady of Good Success said that this convent will last until the end of time
- 9:37so when I was there the first time I
- 9:42got to show
- 9:43mother Hanalita my books on the devotion of the Holy Face and I showed in
- 9:49My book I wrote called the consecration of Holy Face where I used mother Mariana as an example of fraternal charity
- 9:56When we're attacked to give back charity
- 9:59So, you know
- 10:01She was attacked by the captain and she was willing to suffer the pains of hell for five years as we mentioned earlier
- 10:06and so mother Hanalita said well, why don't you come back in July and lead the devotion to the Holy Face and
- 10:14I said yes, so mother said yes, this devotion has been going on for 30 years
- 10:19But the people that are leading it are getting old and there's no young people coming up
- 10:23So I think you should come back. And so that's why I went back is to lead this devotion
- 10:29And so I preached about devotion to the Holy Face in English because my Spanish is mi malo
- 10:35it's very bad and I had a translator there and
- 10:40It was an amazing experience. And I also preached at the Carmel called Carmen Alto. It's about a half a mile walk
- 10:49between the convent of the conceptionists and
- 10:52The Carmen Alto and I preached to them a little bit different series of sermons
- 10:56so I had a double mission where I was preaching to the Carmel lights in the morning and
- 11:03around midday to the conceptionists and so
- 11:06What I do want to say before I'm done answering that question is Our Lady of Good Success
- 11:12Some have told me when people go to see her
- 11:16Sometimes she wants to help people and I told dr. Horovod who I mentioned earlier
- 11:21She's the one that translated the Admiral life of Mother Mariana into English and I called her my first time and she said yeah
- 11:28Our lady really wants to help you
- 11:30so
- 11:31What happened that might really have a great impact on the diocese of Wichita someday?
- 11:37of course talk I'll talk to my bishop if we ever get there and get his permission is
- 11:42There's something great. I think that's happening. Our lady wants to help our diocese
- 11:47because I
- 11:48Have been asked to help
- 11:51Of this a Franciscan priest who was coming there
- 11:55He is trying to restore the second
- 11:59house of recollection in the Western Hemisphere that means this this parish called
- 12:05Santiago was the second place built for retreats in the western side of the hemisphere and
- 12:12This place is being dilapidated. It's it's over 400 years old and
- 12:18He
- 12:19Wants to revive it and he showed me a room where this
- 12:22Sister used to spend her mother and she's incorrupt
- 12:26She's not their bodies not there, but I was in this room and you could see the you know
- 12:30The water damage it was going on. So I
- 12:33Gave a pledge to this father and he said when are you coming back?
- 12:37And so what I think might happen is that we'll have mission trips
- 12:42People will come to Quito and and help this father
- 12:47Restore this grade school and high school so that these nuns can move back and teach the people and so these Franciscans
- 12:53They own the land on this property and then looking up the mountain
- 12:57There's all these houses and they said father the Franciscans own all this land, but they let the poor people live there
- 13:03and
- 13:03So I think this will be a great experience for people from the United States of America to come
- 13:09To visit Quito because Quito is called the Rome of South America as a nickname because there's so many beautiful old churches built in
- 13:17the Spanish style
- 13:17Around the turn of the 15
- 13:211600s that I think it'd be great for us to get some of that culture
- 13:24Learn how to help build these places and maybe we can build some churches like that in our diocese. So that's
- 13:32Something where maybe you're gonna get involved and I don't know if you can eat too if you would ever like to
- 13:37But it's just are they to good success has a lot to offer so could you
- 13:44Help everyone understand what an incorrupted body means and why that's so unbelievable and important. Yes
- 13:52So an incorrect body means they've been buried
- 13:56Or some of them haven't been buried. They're so saintly. They just keep them up and they don't corrupt and we know that once
- 14:04Somebody
- 14:05Body and soul separates. There's a process that begins it's called
- 14:10Decomposition and bacteria that are living in our bodies then go to work to get our bodies to become dirt again
- 14:17dust and so
- 14:20Incorrupt people
- 14:22Have the supernatural grace given by God to stop that
- 14:28Process that happens every time
- 14:30100% of the time unless
- 14:32Someone has lived a holy life
- 14:34God wants to use the incorruption as an example
- 14:37And so I tell people when I preach this devotion to the Holy Face all over the world
- 14:41I was a chaplain of Mother Wilhelmina. She's in corrupt
- 14:45What's God doing? He's saying look at her follow her example. So what's her example that I like to promote she loved
- 14:52The traditional habit she loved our divine liturgies in tradition and she was also
- 14:59Enrolled in a confeteria the Holy Face. So does that help it does? Okay
- 15:04Thank you. You're welcome. I was gonna ask you about Ecuador
- 15:08You kind of went into it, but that's fascinating to me the Rome of South America because I don't as a Catholic
- 15:15I don't ever think about Ecuador or or Quito or know anything about it
- 15:20So I'm just curious like just on a general
- 15:25Just try out what traveling there was like what the people were alive part of South America. Is it in?
- 15:31It's on the equator and it is on the Pacific Coast. So it's on the West
- 15:37it's actually a little bit east of us and
- 15:40So typically from Wichita you fly to Houston and then you take a red eye
- 15:46So you fly at night from about?
- 15:491145 p.m. And you get to Quito at about 5 a.m. And
- 15:54It's easy for me to sleep on the plane when I go to Quito. I don't know and then I wake up and I'm ready
- 15:58to go
- 15:59so Ecuador
- 16:02Was of course indigenous and then the Spanish came and they established it as a Catholic country and it was a colony of Spain
- 16:10But there were so many revolutions going on that the borders and naming countries was something that was not it was fluid
- 16:18So it became a Republic and it was run by Freemasons and then this man named President Garcia Moreno
- 16:27There's so much that we said about him
- 16:29He is a man that I really look up to but he got Quito
- 16:33I mean he got Ecuador to be reestablished as a Catholic country
- 16:37And so what he did is he got Pope Blessed Pi at the ninth to have a Concord
- 16:44Signed by the Congress in Ecuador to establish as a Catholic country and here's something that may sound very foreign to us Americans
- 16:52it was
- 16:53impossible to get buried in Ecuador if you were not a Catholic and so this is an amazing thing to think about and
- 17:01Since it's so foreign for us. Let me connect the dots in the devotion to the Sacred Heart
- 17:07We are praying for Christ to be the king
- 17:10And so what does that mean? That means every Catholic country is civilly
- 17:15Catholic and
- 17:16So it makes it very easy one to become Catholic two to get to heaven because that's why Jesus gave us the church is to
- 17:22Save souls. He redeemed us
- 17:25So do you want anything else on?
- 17:28Just the people just the people
- 17:30It's a Catholic nation. So is it you know, often oftentimes, okay
- 17:35So oftentimes like here I I yearn for would be great like when we do the procession. I want to do more processions
- 17:43Why is it once a month? You know, I want to do it all the time. So I'm curious if there
- 17:49it's just much more Catholic the trappings of Catholicism are still there and
- 17:54The people when the revolutionists were taking it away from Catholicism
- 17:58it was 95% wanted to cook Catholic faith there and sees revolutions got loud and big and so
- 18:05The trappings are still there. So at the end of the devotion at the Conceptionist royal convent
- 18:12There was a mass and then after the mass I took two relics of
- 18:17The Holy Face the Val Veronica. There's a story there. I
- 18:21had these relics stamped on linens here in Wichita and
- 18:24I asked for some help and someone got Cardinal Burke to help us and so
- 18:30By his eminence we got permission to have these touch to the Val Veronica in Rome in
- 18:342024 and so I gave two of them to mother
- 18:38but before I gave them to mother one of them took
- 18:42the Val out of the tube and framed it and so
- 18:46He gave it to me from the sacristy and I went out into the nave of the church
- 18:50that's the big part of the church and I
- 18:53brought it down to the altar rail and
- 18:56I gave it to
- 18:58the older lady who was in charge for 30 years of keeping this devotion and she got to carry it around and I had a
- 19:03candle in front of me and
- 19:05Christian who was my translator had a
- 19:09Banner of the Holy Face and we walked around the church and peep these people were coming
- 19:13Touching it putting their rosaries on kissing it. It was such a
- 19:18Romanesque way our style of being a Catholic they were so pious
- 19:22But it's natural to them because this is what was taught to their ancestors and
- 19:30We met I met somebody who's reading my book there
- 19:33they bought a book on the consecration of the Holy Face a lady that went to
- 19:38to Steubenville to
- 19:40Learn, but her father
- 19:42Said to me father
- 19:45Our family has been involved in the devotion to our Lady gets us for 300 years
- 19:50I don't even think our city's that old, it's Wichita. So there's a lot of depth
- 19:56because Catholicism really started
- 19:59Right about in Quito Ecuador because let's put this into context
- 20:04I don't remember the exact date when Our Lady of Guadalupe came. Does anyone remember here?
- 20:101600s, but it's actually
- 20:121500s sometime and it's only like three or four years later there Our Lady of Good Success began to appear
- 20:18So that tells you the depth this devotion Our Lady of Good Success has so much potential
- 20:25I think Our Lady of Guadalupe and her are closely connected in
- 20:30the popularity so there's a lot of
- 20:33There's a lot of opportunity for here Our Lady of Good Success her revelations to be revealed because heaven sometimes
- 20:40regulates when the devotion or the revelations of Our Lady under the different titles becomes popular and
- 20:47I think Our Lady
- 20:48Excuse me, the devotion of Holy Face. It is a good example. That's it hasn't been popularized yet, but it has such great
- 20:54Potential with the layman performing six to ten thousand miracles. So I hope that helps
- 21:01how is or your
- 21:05Travels funded
- 21:06How does your office fund these requests?
- 21:10Are they paid for by the places that you're going to?
- 21:14To or is there a way for people to make donations?
- 21:20to to your office
- 21:21yeah, so a lot of times I'm asked to go and give talks in the US and
- 21:30so people will give me a stipend for that and
- 21:34I do some book signings and then people will give me donations for that. And so that helps to pay for my costs. Mm-hmm. And so
- 21:42When I get a surplus
- 21:45Then I can fund myself to go and just do it for free like I did for Our Lady Good Success
- 21:49I want to do that for her
- 21:51So that's how that works. I just noticed that the Our Lady Good Success was talking about sins of blasphemy
- 22:00Impurity and heresy or kind of like the main thing
- 22:04She was focused on and that struck me the blasphemy piece because that's you know
- 22:09When we're doing the Holy Face devotion, we're thinking of irreverence
- 22:14idolatry blasphemy and we were just recently having a conversation about around irreverence and
- 22:20And just when you were talking about the people coming and kissing
- 22:24You know the Holy Face and touching their rosaries to it. I just
- 22:28it moves me inside to think of being in the presence of a
- 22:33population being very reverent a lot of times
- 22:36When we feel uncomfortable I do like all the time and when we were talking in terms of this
- 22:44irreverence, it's just almost like a tuning fork inside of you sometimes when you just
- 22:51You know when we were talking in terms of the Eucharist when the Eucharist isn't shown the right amount of reverence it just
- 22:57Starts vibrating in you and causes a lot of a lot of pain
- 23:01So it's great to hear hear that and when I say I wish that things were a little more Catholic here and we could do
- 23:08processions more often it's because it just
- 23:11Feels so good such life-giving source
- 23:15It reverberates all throughout society in a lack of formality
- 23:19You go to Chester's for dinner and I wear a sport coat and I wear shoes
- 23:24I don't wear open toed sandals shorts or a t-shirt
- 23:27You look around people have baseball hats caps on you see the same thing at Sunday mass you see it's all over
- 23:35It's permeated this lack of formality and and it's really a lack of respect that
- 23:40formality
- 23:41allows citizens and societies to be able to get along and it
- 23:46shows a deference or respect based upon your place in society, and I
- 23:52really believe that
- 23:56That
- 23:56Aspect so my dad always wore a suit or a coat and tie to mass. There was a part of my life
- 24:03Where I was really heavy
- 24:06Over 500 pounds and I just couldn't fit into clothes and to me being there in
- 24:12Shorts and a t-shirt was better than not being there
- 24:15But I always felt ashamed and but if you go to mass and you see there's it and especially I hate to say this
- 24:23I'm gonna get in trouble with women wearing
- 24:25You know the tops and the shoulders not being covered and especially don't ever go to Magdalene
- 24:32The night of prom for the high school like the dresses are so sure and I'm looking around thinking
- 24:38Did this dad let his daughter leave the house?
- 24:43With a dress so sure if you have to press it down and you're going to church
- 24:48Like what?
- 24:51so anyways, that's
- 24:53Yeah, no, I mean, it's I coach teenage girls and we we talk about those things
- 24:58You know purity chastity. It's not an easy conversation to have but just trying to impress on them that
- 25:06you know
- 25:07You know, I think in terms of marriage or men and women were we're not
- 25:11Society tries to put us in competition or complimentary like I tell them to the lowest common denominator
- 25:18Yeah, this boy showed up to pick up my daughter for a dance without a jacket he was in shorts in a
- 25:24Hawaiian out and I said, I think you need to go home and change you're not taking her to this homecoming dance
- 25:29Yeah, that's ridiculous. Well, I'll say
- 25:33Jesus came to restore order
- 25:35because this world was in such disorder and
- 25:40order is virtue and part of that is
- 25:43Modesty and left, you know, let your modesty be known to the world
- 25:46And so when I was in Quito
- 25:48The native women that wear their distinctive dress is an amazing thing
- 25:53they wear hats that look like men's hats, but the brim is smaller and
- 25:58they wear these
- 26:00These dresses. I don't know what they are called, but they're the colors of their culture and they wear
- 26:06They just look so proper. They're so cute and I would smile at them and bless they would Padre give me your blessing and and
- 26:14We don't have a distinctive cultural dress for women and for men here, I mean
- 26:21Yeah in the 50s and so I'm a big proponent of bringing that back
- 26:25Myself and I wrote a book on the cassock and how even the priesthood has its uniform
- 26:32And so I think men wearing uniforms again if they do live or do work where they're supposed to have, you know
- 26:39That's a great thing to bring to church. That's a great thing to have properly
- 26:43and to have a certain formal wear I
- 26:47Think is a sign of humility because we want to present ourselves always to God in our best
- 26:54whether we're at church or at home and
- 26:56work or
- 26:57Having leisure to to look like that it can go the wrong way where we can dress out of pride
- 27:04But we can also dress out of humility and saying I need to look my best for God because I want to present to him
- 27:10The best foot every it's respect. Yeah, it's respect for our Lord. It's respect for my fellows. It's it's a honoring
- 27:19Those around me that are accompanying me is the way I look at it and and not out of arrogance
- 27:26So I think you guys need to start some kind of a club or a guild
- 27:29Where you start teaching men how to dress properly, but I will say the formal hats are coming back
- 27:36I love that at the airport. You're seeing, you know, you see men in their shorts, but they're wearing these formal hats
- 27:41It's like you got you got part of it, right? So let's keep going
- 27:45Yeah, we bring that we need to bring the best out of each other again
- 27:49That's why I tell the girls you got to bring the best out of these young men
- 27:53Because if you don't, you know, you have to make them earn
- 27:58Your your arm. You don't want to show too much too early like
- 28:02You know, they'll go to the lowest common common denominator man
- 28:06I had I had one of my first dates with my wife. We were it was like 39 years old
- 28:12so I met her in the middle of my life and we're driving down the road and and I
- 28:18Said some profanities as I can do and she is driving the car and she says
- 28:25I'm a lady and I expect to be treated as such and I was like
- 28:30This one's a keeper she has
- 28:34expectations
- 28:35boundaries and I need that and I
- 28:41Immediately was tuned in to that aspect of her and how important it was for me
- 28:48Always be looking for people that make you better. That's right. And that's the the lady's
- 28:53Responsibility in society is to say no
- 28:57We're not going to behave like this and when the ladies start behaving like the men then you have total chaos and then go quickly
- 29:05Yeah
- 29:06Well, that's wonderful. I and the last thing I'm just curious about I guess on a lighter note is the food
- 29:12What was the food like there? I mean, I'm I'm from the Hispanic culture. So I'm curious
- 29:19well, we went to this lamb house and
- 29:23I was amazed by the lamb and
- 29:26We asked the owner of the bar. He says where do you get your lamb?
- 29:29he says oh it we have the lamb grazing about an hour and a half from here and so
- 29:35The lamb was so good because keto is the second highest capital in the world. It's over 10,000 feet
- 29:43So if you go as a gringo like me, they have a tea called take coca
- 29:49Which is tea that has the natural cocaine leaves, but it's good for your
- 29:53High altitude sickness for gringos and so at this restaurant this lamb was so wonderful and
- 30:02I wanted to make the point that because there's a there's a rainy season during February and January and February
- 30:09The grass has so many
- 30:12Minerals and vitamins in it. So when the lamb eats that it's it's from land to table is it just
- 30:20It's so nutritious
- 30:22So we love that and their food is very clean they don't use a lot of chemicals they use
- 30:28Natural, so it's it's the normal organic that you know, you don't have to have a stamp that says it's organic
- 30:34So the food is very clean just is yeah
- 30:38so if Denver is
- 30:395,500 feet in
- 30:41Red River, New Mexico is I think that's 9,000 feet. This is even I this is a capital of
- 30:50People living
- 30:51two miles up basically
- 30:54Yes, so my first time I had
- 30:57Altitude sickness. Yes, you were dizzy lightheaded. Yes, and it was
- 31:03Dehydrated and so some ladies gave me some patches for altitude
- 31:09sickness that had natural ingredients like cinnamon in it and and
- 31:14I also brought a lot of minerals to put my water
- 31:17So I wasn't dehydrated and I made it through I was strong and the tea the teacocca is a good idea
- 31:25To drink but don't take any back with you. It's illegal
- 31:31That's awesome just all of that sounds
- 31:34so interesting and you know, my wife and I talk about this a lot like just
- 31:39Eating closer to your table and and you know being closer to the earth and more reliant on that. So
- 31:48Father on a separate note what has been your most memorable adventure?
- 31:56Since being called to the priesthood
- 31:59Wow
- 32:01I'll say
- 32:06going to Australia and
- 32:09There was a parish there that was traditional at mass
- 32:13They have three or four priests
- 32:15Sydney so Sydney's five million people ten million. I can't remember now. It's really large
- 32:20And so I was asked to preach at the Sunday principal mass and
- 32:26the pastor was my deacon and
- 32:29the associate was my subdeacon and the mass was just like the third level of heaven like st
- 32:35Paul says and I preached about the Holy Face and it was
- 32:39Propagated very well. There was a lot of promotion months before the church was packed
- 32:44there were people outside the church that were coming in for communion communion to 800 people took forever and
- 32:50Is that was probably the most third most amazing time in my priesthood?
- 32:56I'll have to go off the air and research to remember what my first and second are but that's my third
- 33:01because it was recent it was
- 33:05Beginning of this year are in the middle of this year. We're in August almost August now
- 33:09So that was really moving to me. What's the most beautiful church or Basilica that you've ever visited?
- 33:17And then is there one that you said a mass in yourself?
- 33:20You were just it was shockingly
- 33:23Beautiful. I'll say st. Mary major the Archbishop can Rome of Our Lady is my favorite beauty and
- 33:32I got to say mass every day at Carmen Alto and
- 33:37this is a
- 33:39Carmelite group of nuns, but they have this
- 33:42magnificent church high ceilings
- 33:45high altar in the colonial Spanish style with
- 33:50Probably eight side altars and
- 33:53We have a church all to ourselves every day and the nuns were there and their grill
- 33:58So usually Carmelites you have the nave and then it's like an L and then the nuns are there and you can never see them
- 34:04if you're in the nave, but as a priest they can see your altar and
- 34:09on
- 34:09The last day I had what's called
- 34:13A
- 34:15Parlor with the Carmelite nuns the mothers appeared all the nuns on her beings had to be there unless they were sick and
- 34:22We had an exchange
- 34:24But for about an hour, it was really we were laughing a lot
- 34:27And that's what Carmelite good Carmelites none. These Carmelites have a lot of charity
- 34:31So I was so glad but the mother said did you know that our whole church and where we live was given to us by a saint
- 34:39Her name is st. Mariana the first saint
- 34:43canonized we've maybe the second canonized in in the Western Hemisphere and so
- 34:49Kido has a lot of relics and what does that mean?
- 34:53They have a lot of holy people haven't been canonized yet
- 34:56And so I'm a man that likes the underdog likes the rookie, you know, I like to promote
- 35:02These saints so that they become
- 35:05Saints that will be at our altar someday. So that's fun for me. So
- 35:10That's awesome. Thanks for sharing. Yeah, they're in back again by Father Corny. Yep, exactly
- 35:17All right. Well, unless you have anything else to share. I think that's just thanks a lot for having me on
- 35:22This is our second podcast. Yeah our second interview. Okay, there'll be many more. I hope so. So
- 35:30Well, I'll give you my blessing and please okay, you know many pot trees that feel he's pure to sancti. Amen
- 35:39seat Norman Dominic do
- 35:43Insecure Dominic's are a rat in a ma'am. They're coming. We are sort of India Dominus fobis. Goom. Welcome spirit
- 35:50At you in addiction. Amy, but then these pot trees that feel he's pure to some shindit super voice of money and sent there. Amen
